I reported our dishwasher not working at 11:00 AM this morning. The repair guy was here at 2:00!!! Unbelievable! Thank you. He was courteous and knew what he was doing. He collected his $65 and left. The dishwasher was not repaired because it needs a part that has to be ordered, so he set up a follow up appointment for ten days out.

Took way too long to find a technician willing to work for Choice (over 1 week). Then 1st technician declined to do the repair, which was relatively simple. Overall without A/C for two weeks in the middle of summer - totally unacceptable. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. Unlikely to recommend Choice to anyone, and will likely be informing friends, relatives.... of this very poor experience. Also, Choice personnel were not particularly supportive of trying to help out with raising the level of urgency of my issue.

I am very satisfied with Choice Warranty and the technician so far. Technician estimated the repairs and ordered the parts which arrived within a few days of having been ordered. The technician was very courteous and explained everything to me. Repairs are scheduled later at my convenience after I return home from vacation.

Very pleasant conversation with a customer service representative that’s not only knowledgeable about your product but had great customer service skills. I end the call with him feeling like he really wanted my business. I hope the company can live up to the service when needed without a run around and hassle. Kudos to the young man I talked with.

Ice maker not working. Claim filed. Technician arrived, checked system, ordered new ice maker. Very professional. New part has arrived. Now awaiting tech to install and finish job. Third claim filed in 2 years. Choice Home Warranty responded immediately and took care of the problems. Would recommend them to other homeowners.

This warranty company is worthless. Our AC was not cooling so we made a claim. While they quickly assigned it to a technician, they refused to pay for either the valve repair, coolant refill (R22), or unit replacement. We had to replace the units and pay for the entire bill out of pocket. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This warranty was provided when we bought our home. It was definitely a selling point. I have continued the coverage thru Choice Warranty for my peace of mind. I've had several service calls and all but one was positive, and then Choice sent someone else to help me. My only complaint is I don't like to do everything online and the customer service people on the phone are very hard to understand.

I was very angry and in great despair ready to leave Choice until I spoke with Mgr Gary ** in the Customer Service Department. He listened and assisted me with working through the problems I was having because I was really frustrated. For that I will stay with Choice and just want to say THANK YOU GARLY **!!!

I had to wait over a week to get service for my AC. The temperatures were in the 80s and 90s. I had to stay elsewhere due to my COPD. It is difficult to breathe in hot and humid weather. I suppose I should be happy that it wasn’t 20 below and I was freezing. Disappointed it took so long and it makes me wonder if all services would be this way. A plumbing problem cannot wait a week if I have to turn off the water.

Our Centauro conditioner stopped working and I set up a claim online. I was given the choice to hire my own contractor and get reimbursed or get a contractor through Choice Warranty. I had Choice Warranty set up a contractor for me. The repair was on time and fixed the a/c within 30 minutes. Great service.

Was able to get an agent for a claim on the phone promptly. Quick appointment for my service need. Choice gave me updated information when I needed it. I needed to know the timing of arrival to my house and Choice contacted the technician and provided the information. Technician charged me extra for some garage door maintenance he said I needed to do.

Although he was a bit late, he made up for it. He cleaned my hoses in the dryer, took apart the dryer and cleaned all that lint that was stuck inside my dryer. I did not have a blower to clean the hose, but he showed me what I needed to do when I borrowed one. He changed a gauge, and the dryer is now running so much quieter. Pleased with his work.

This is the third or fourth time I had my warranty service, the same issue every time you keep charging a service fee, which in my opinion is ridiculous. If it’s exact same problem the service fee should have been waived. I could understand once or twice but every time they come out they get charged to the fix the same problem it wasn’t fixed in the first place is ridiculous. Other than that Home warranty is a great Warranty to have you protect all the things that goes wrong in your house.

Tony did a great job!! Tony was very personable and professional. Great Service on my upstairs AC unit. Tony cleaned up after his work and left everything neat and tidy. Ethan was knowledgeable and skilled. He had the issue diagnosed and corrected quickly. He replaced the capacitor and added a hard-start kit to my Air conditioner unit and informed me about the current condition of my Air conditioner unit. We awakened one morning to discover that our Cafe refrigerator was no longer working. We contacted Choice Home Warranty. They quickly scheduled an appointment with a reputable appliance repair service. Within just a few days, the problem was accurately assessed, parts ordered and replaced; and our refrigerator totally functioning like new -- all for the $85 service fee. This was such great service performed very professionally and efficiently. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The log on was easy, the agent I spoke with was kind and courteous, she explained that a Technician would contact me within a brief period to access and make repairs to our downstairs A/C unit, all that was required was to leave my cellphone number to receive a call back from the Technician who will make the repairs.

The technician was very friendly and efficient. Choice Home Warranty was very fast in dispatching repair services and those dispatched made appointments right away and one came out the next day! Amazing. Most Home Warranty companies are much slower. I would definitely recommend Choice to other home owners. Their prices are either better than others or very competitive.

I submitted two claims for two different issues and the response from vendors was very quick. On the other hand, neither issue got resolved. For the dishwasher a part had to be ordered. For the A/C I assume the same because only part was repaired. According to the technician, Choice DID NOT CALL HIM BACK WITH AUTHORIZATION. Let's hope that actually will happen, because my policy specifically lists split systems as a covered item.

Also let me know that he would make sure to put me 1st or 2nd on his schedule for his follow up visit to make things easier for me.

Reported the the problem on August 12, 2023. Did not hear anything until I called on the 14th. Was told that my claim was assigned to A & E Factory and they will come on August 17 between 8 am and 5 pm. I told choice rep. that my A\C is leaking water and damaging the drywall. She gave me their number to call them. Called, it's all automated and no live person available. Waiting for the 17th appointment. Not pleasant experience.

When you go to Choice on AOL looking to sign on to my existing account All the choices are to those looking to purchase your plan. No entries are marked OFFICIAL SITE. It takes a while to get on as an existing customer. Secondly about a Reimbursement Email are confusing as to a need to authorize. I Thought I had to authorize a person to do the work but no it was to authorize the job in question. Thirdly Telephone calls go unanswered for an unacceptable time and when you ask for a call back number it just goes blank after submission.

We have had several claims for various issues that were denied that with most companies is covered. As well as the contractors that came out were not in uniform and late also changed the time and date with very little to no advance warning. Not Happy With Choice At All. Will be canceling and going with another company.

I reported the problem on Saturday and they scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. I got in touch with the technician to come at 12 pm or later due to a dr's appointment in the morning. He was there at 12:05. And then Michael did a really good job and resolved the problem in about an hour. All good.

It was my first time filing a claim and CHW dispatched a technician to repair my AC in a timely manner. At the same time I needed my kitchen sink repaired but the technician that replied doesn't work on weekends. Hopefully when I file a claim for that repair a different plumbing company will come on the weekend.

Frustrating that it took several days for an electrician to arrive, that their window for arrival was 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and not hearing back after leaving two messages requesting the later part of the morning. However, upon arrival they were very pleasant, careful and professional. The problem was repaired. I didn't know they could not accept a credit card, so I went to an ATM for the cash. They could not provide a receipt.

I was contacted quickly by the repair company and given an estimated day and time. Due to circumstances the repair person arrived 3 hours later. Service was performed professionally though it took 3 days for the appearance of the repair person.

Two of the 3 claims submitted were denied after paying the copay so having this "Home Warranty" cost me more than not having it. If I would have just fixed it without calling Choice Home Warranty I wouldn't have paid the copay on top of the cost to actually fix it.

The thermostat has to have new batteries every one or two days. The unit has a noise when starting up. I am afraid it won't start up. I called to have a service person to come check my unit and thermostat. I am now waiting for a technician to call or text when they can come.

Technician was very prompt and knowledgeable fixed the issue and out the door. The technician called prior to coming out and was on time. Would recommend. We had a washer issue. The technician quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed the issue. Even had the parts on the truck. Replaced the part. Washer is working fine.

My dishwasher had to be replaced. You offered $246 rather than pay for the replacement cost of $780 it cost me. My agreement says you will pay or replace an appliance up to $3000. It does not say you will negotiate a cash settlement. I appealed to your case manager and had to wait 10 days before I could speak to her which is poor customer service as well. From the time I filed the claim it took almost three weeks to complete my claim. I never had this problem before and can assure you I won't have it again when my contract renews next year. I will no longer be a customer of yours. I know this complaint will fall on deaf ears. But your company is not being honest with your service warranty. I didn't buy your policy to negotiate a when I have a claim. I expected for the dishwasher to be repaired or replaced as the agreement states.

I have a Trane A/C unit that is just shy of 3 years old. When it went down, I called for a service call through Choice. Wouldn’t you know it. The one time I need help and of course that one part they say isn’t covered. I was sold on the fact that they said, "We cover your A/C and all your appliances. If we can’t get it fixed, we replace." They now have exceptions that mean they don’t fix or replace. Wasted my money.

The plumber tech was outstanding. Did a great and quick job. Choice service was awful. Took the 3 days to get a tech that did not come. Then another 3 days to get someone to my house.. When I call them all they is they're working on it. When the first tech did not come they put thru same process instead of rushing or just find a tech. No. They did the same process. Ask to speak to supervisor after the 5th or 6th time calling. They put me on hold and never came to the phone.

I want to address the lack of communication from Choice in regards to “non covered items”. I was not given any details on what the $2k was actually for. As a consumer I should be told exactly what I’m paying for in writing. I am grateful for being a part of such a well known company and haven’t had any issues from another claim so the lack of communication is very surprising.

Technician informed me of the clear leakage in the system, but could not able to capture the bubbles on the camera to declare it as leak. So he temporarily added 3 lb of Freon to make system provide cooling for this season. The same thing reported by the technician last year. So the choice warranty does not cover most of stuff, another ex: If your water heater tank leaking they deny the coverage in the last year.

On August 7th your claim specialist took my claim and gave me a claim number. Within the next two days your company located an A/C repair company for me. The company scheduled an appointment for my repairs. I received all the necessary information through my e-mail. Today August 14th a very polite and courteous technician came out gave a diagnosis for my A/C, did the repairs except for one thing (he said the ducts needed replacement). He could not replace this. I then filed the claim for ducts to be replaced, was given a claim and now I'm just waiting for a company to schedule my repairs. Very satisfied with how CHW handles claims.

Malcom called to tell me about the new coverage and the new takeover. He was able to convince me to renew since all the benefits are in effect. I had a horrible experience with the last repair. Cost me $700.00 out of pocket. I was ready to cancel everything this time.

I was satisfied with the technician who came out to replace my ceiling fan. I was disappointed with the fact that Choice Home Warranty only allowed $70 to replace the minimum $119.99 ceiling fan. This was my second claim with Choice Home Warranty and each time, I was allowed far less than what it costed to replace the items. Disappointing. Will not renew after subscription is over. Looking for another Home Warranty company.

I was transferred once due to an escalation, but after the transfer my issue was resolved! The young man I spoke to resolved my issue and treated me like a human. This was the most HORRIBLE experience I have ever had with Choice Home Warranty. I have been with Choice for yearssss and have referred over 100 individual with most of them signing up. I am shocked and very, very disappointed with the treatment I have received on my recent claim. I have showed much respect to Choice services by only using the services when it was absolutely necessary (not a person calling for everything). My most recent claim was denied. I did file an appeal and spoke to a case manager. The young lady was pleasant and gave me a few minutes of her time.
I did feel that the case manager and choice home warranty did not take into consideration anything that I said and how this situation impacted me and my family. I realize that I am not a massive company so my little policy does not mean much. I have always held choice home warranty in high regards as a company for the common working individual. I have to now reassess to see if I need to go elsewhere.

Your company is horrible and a bunch of crookes. You claim to have an extensive network and then nobody responds to claim for 3 days and then schedule 1 week after. When a claim is not resolved or repaired in 30 days, you automatically close it. What a joke!!!! I will never renew and be sure to speak poorly to anyone regarding CHW.

Had appointment for 10am till 3pm. No call No Show!!! I paid for the warranty. What good is it when no one shows up or calls to inform you not coming. ** Very Unproffesional. The service provider was scheduled for 7-11 on August 11th. At 10:30am I called the company to confirm since we hadn't heard from anyone. They didn't seem to have us on their calendar. They made arrangements and got a tech assigned & arrived at 12:20. They did a good job.

The two gentlemen from NOLA HVAC was excellent. They stayed in touch with me throughout the entire repair process. They were extremely professional and polite. I so happy with the process. They called ahead to let me know how long it would be before they arrived right on time. I would recommend them highly.

Submitted a claim on 23 Jun. Choice dispatched A&E Factory Service (Sears) who incorrectly diagnosed problem on 28 Jun 23. Second visit by A&E Factory Service occurred on 3 Jul who diagnosed compressor and other associated electronic components. A&E to-date has never been given authorization by Choice to proceed with repair and/or order parts. 53 days later on 14 Aug 23, after more than 2 dozen status calls, Choice reassigned claim to another repair facility, and I, the consumer can start the lengthy repair process all over again. Choice refuses to provide me a pay-out versus repair action based on this lengthy delay. There will be an additional 3-week delay or more, for a new diagnosis visit, parts ordering period and final repair. I ask, can anyone in their right mind live 74 or more days without a working refrigerator.

After waiting for over three weeks for my AC to be fixed, every part that the technician said was wrong, you all claimed it was not covered. The policy did not state that my fan motor was not covered. Then you give me the run around about a warranty. It is 20 years old. Then I need it in writing from the company that it is not covered. I am done.

For the money this company has been great. We have not had a problem. All of the technicians have been professional and prompt. I just got my son-in-law to sign up. We have had a variety of claims in the past year and they have stepped up without a problem for each and every one.

July 16 2023: Filed issues that my AC was not working, July 17 2023: Was assigned Air Quality Specialist to fix my issue. This company never called me to confirm appt. I left numerous messages and no call back so I requested a new company to work on my issues. July 20, 2023. A&E Factory Service assigned as the new provider and given a date of July 28th 2023 for repair. July 28, 2023: Was told by A&E I need a new AC. Aug 1, 2023: Claim for new AC approved by CHW. **Between these 2 weeks I have called CHW numerous times. They say "we are sorry" and email the technician. I requested to speak to a supervisor but they of course were unavailable and was told I would get a call back. No call back. I call every 2 days trying to get this sorted and yet nothing happens. Aug 14, 2023: Still no call to install AC from either A&E or CHW and the weather has been over 100 degrees.

I found your sales people to be very pushy even though price was good. I tried to give my original company a chance to match Choice’s plan/cost. They weren’t even close. So I got my ‘best cost quote’ from Choice online and went with it. We’ll see how well Choice is if I have an issue.

The agent that received my claim was very hard to hear and understand. I had to continually to ask him to repeat himself. I asked him to speak louder but he was unable to do that. His attitude was like he did not want to be on this call. I am new to Choice and he gave a very bad attitude towards the call and your company.

He called me on the day of the scheduled window of time appointment and inquired as to what would be the best time for me; I really appreciated that from him. That tells me he respects my time. He showed up on time, identified who he was and that he was from the warranty company and, used booties to walk on my floors. That tells me he respects my home, a plus in my book! He listened as I explained the problem and decided what the best course of action, and took it to solve it, which took him all of about 20 minutes. When he was getting ready to leave, he gave me the most cost effective way to pay the service call fee, which resulted in me not incurring an additional fee. Thus, altogether, a positive experience that saw my issue addressed in record time. I have no complaints.

My first experience was excellent. My AC and garage door went out on the same day. My agent showed empathy and was very professional. Someone came the next day to repair my AC which was very surprising. I was so happy. The repairman was also very nice and professional. He explained to me everything that needed to be done and now I'm very comfortable.

My AC stopped working on Saturday August 12, 2023 at approximately 4:45PM in the middle of a heatwave in South Florida. I contacted CHW immediately via phone and reported my issue. I was instantly assigned a Claim# and a subsequent email confirming receipt of the claim and it was being processed. Additional emails were sent to me regarding the status of the aforementioned Claim. On Sunday August 13, 2023 at approximately 5:00PM I received notification that an appointment was set for Monday August 14, 2023. Outstanding service.

I had to wait almost a week for them to find a plumber to fix a broken pipe and then it was going to take another week for the plumber to get out. Then Choice denies the claim which is a leak at the hose bib in the wall of my home and the contract states they cover hose bibs and pipe within the foundation of the home. Even the plumber was frustrated because he said this is within the foundation of my home. Now I have to appeal it to get the plumbers paid. I even described the leak and read the contract to them multiple times and they are still declining it. I pay a monthly fee yet they do not uphold their written contract. Do not use Choice home warranty.

I had to keep calling to see where I was at. 3 times I called and was told they would send an email to the repair company. The fourth time I was told since they didn't respond Choice Home had 24 hours to find the part or they would offer a replacement. I waited 31 days for any communication but received none. I called and was told the ticket was closed because there was no communication in 30 days. I had to reopen the claim. Luckily I got the same repair person who remembered me and was surprised my claim was still open and also that he had to come back. He said it was useless to come to my house because the parts were not avail. I don't know what he did but he got my claim reopened and finally got them to understand the parts were not available. No thanks to Choice Home Warranty.

Sears technician Brian arrived on time the day he was scheduled to repair my central air conditioning unit. He quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Need the capacitor replaced on the outside condenser unit. He has over 10 years experience in this field of work. I trust Choice Home Warranty for my home repairs in the future.

Water line had to be found to Fridge. Mr. Brown tech found line and was able to connect to Fridge. Fridge is working now. Fridge was delivered June 10. First tech sent by Choice said the Fridge line was defected. Called GE checked Fridge sated there was nothing wrong with Fridge. Another request put in for a plumber to Choice. Second tech called me and said he read the notes and we needed to request a plumber again.

Our 9 year old refrigerator (19 cu Ft) suddenly stopped cooling properly and technician could not quickly be dispatched so Choice allowed us to contact our established local appliance service provider. The unit could not be repaired so we were allowed to replace the unit. Be aware they will offer wholesale replacement price and not reimburse for tax or haul away. However, the amount we received pretty well covered an 18 cu Ft unit we chose and that suits us fine.

Called in claim on 8/1/23. Finally after 10 days with and numerous calls with no refrigerator, they send out a service technician, who was very professional, no complaints on him. He sends them an estimate of repairs to replace the compressor, evaporator, dryer and also the control board because the control board would not update to accept the new compressor. Even though the repair man received an authorization to repair, they send me an email denying my coverage because the control board is not a covered item due to the fact it was not compatible with a new compressor. So instead of covering the repair minus the control board, they deny the whole claim. Would not recommend this company!

I would've appreciated more. The cost to replace the unit is 3 to 4 times more than what was given. Even when using Lowe's outlet the cost was still more than twice the cost to replace the unit. I understand this are hard on everyone but for the money I pay monthly It doesn't seem fair.

Very disappointed, a waste of time, filed 3 claims 2 got denied still waiting on the the other claim from a month ago. Customer service is disrespectful and I feel like they just getting free money. Went into my account for 2 months payment and wouldn't return it. Tried to tell me I was 2 months behind. They won't allow you to cancel. The only issue I have with Choice Home Warranty is the quality of some of the companies they use. I have had techs come out to address issues on different items and some of the techs that have come out don't know how to diagnose the cause of the problems and just guess at what needs to be replaced to fix the issue. I don't like to have to pay $75 for a service that does not fix the problem then I have to file another claim and pay another $75 to have another tech come out to fix the problem. Overall the Choice Home Warranty is o.k.

I only have one critique and that is how slow it was taking for a technician with one of the companies to take on the work order. It has been 90 degrees and above and my family was without air for 3 days and in this kind of weather, that is unsatisfactory. I ended up taking it upon myself by reaching out to a HVAC company and they took on the job. I think that Choice Home Warranty should have customer service reps that reaches out to repair companies on behalf of the customer and set up the appointment and that way customers like myself won't have to search for technicians. I do not know what I am supposed to rate. I just read this email now as well as a previous email about appointment with HVAC technician on 8/8/23. No one called my telephone to say that they are coming to look into my furnace issue. I've been coming home after work and there was no message on my door that an HVAC tech came and missed me. The main factor of your warranty replacement is that you do not pay for the full replacement value of the appliance. The tech was great and nice but he didn't have parts needed so still waiting for ac to be fixed. So not happy overall but since it took over a week for him to come out. Then canceled first day. Was to be there in 100 degree weather, finally came out next day and didn't have the parts. Sure it wasn't techs fault for parts but now still waiting for ac to be fixed. The ductless heat pump drainage pipe was clogged and water was dripping inside the house on wooden furniture below. I found puddles of water on the floor and did not know until it became a big wet space. A cleanout by the technician and we are back to good! Our tech was polite and got the job done quickly. I placed a second service call for my AC. They were not able to assign a contractor for 24 hours after the initial claim request… I received an option for reimbursement only 30 minutes prior to the assignment, so I was not able to take it vantage of that the vendor that was coming to service. The AC was scheduled for five days from that date which is unacceptable when it is an AC problem and the temperatures are running at 105 daily. They would not work with me on this, and as I previously stated, this was the second service call for the same problem. I had to hire an outside vendor to complete this, and they will not reimburse.

Over a year ago I submitted a claim about my oven. Long story short it still isn’t fixed, I paid an initial 90.00 fee and received nothing, it was supposed to be fixed today provided I pay another 85.00 fee, I’m refusing to pay, I was offered 350 towards an replacement stove, provided I continue my policy, I’m declining. Every time Millbrook Plumbing and Electric comes to my home whether it's the father or the son they're always knowledgeable and get the job done in a timely manner. They don't mind explaining things in detail and educating the customer. This go round it was a leaky faucet. Customer service is great when they are getting you to sign up for their services. However for a claim the contractors are unprofessional, incompetent, and there is no follow through. It's been weeks and I still have the same issue. Getting C/S claims is a taxing journey. However to be fair while writing this review I received a call from Choice and this C/S rep was very understanding and professional stating she would send someone else out with no service fee, escalate the claim to resolve the issue. With that being said I will give a update, time table, and a honest review if this is done and the problem resolved.

The technician was great and did his job. The case manager were disappointing. Ashley hangup on me in mid conversation and Blondell was very abrasive and rude. CHW is a scam. You left me out in the cold and offer me $246 for replacement of a dishwasher that I paid $700 for. There is no way I can find a dishwasher for $246. Loud noise when using dryer. Sounded like belt was broke. First two time I had this fixed the same noise broke. Sound returned after a few weeks. Hope this 3 repair and different technician fixed it. It took Choice 51 days to send a repair contractor to fix an active plumbing leak in our ceiling. This was the fourth assigned contractor. First contractor was legitimate but later declined the appointment, indicating he is no longer working with Choice because they were not paying him for past work. The 2nd and 3rd contractors both indicated they do not work with Choice and had no record of an appointment. The 4th contractor did show up and repaired the leak. Our Choice plan clearly indicates that Choice will return the ceiling to rough finish. However, Choice did not honor their own policy and charged us another service fee for the dry-wall work. Choice makes it very difficult to talk to an actual Choice employee with authority to resolve an issue that this one.

The claim filing process was pretty smooth and easy. Upon learning of our broken air conditioner and affiliated technician was dispatched. I guess because of extreme summer heat. All of the air conditioning companies are very far behind so it took four days for the repair. The technician, however, was very knowledgeable and polite. Overall this was a good experience. The agent seemed to be pulling out all the stops to get me discounts and better rates. There was some wording on the user agreement that may need to be rephrased as even he needed to reach out for an explanation as to what it meant by coverage being for one item of covered items. I did feel a little pressured to continue to add additional time of coverage for fear of having my rate go up and needing to pay upfront for several years for better rate. When someone has just bought their first home, they are likely putting out money left and right fixing and replacing things and I think that agents should be sensitive to that. Sometimes people can't part with a large lump sum at the moment even if it will save them money later on.

According to Sears' written policy 24-hr notice is required to schedule. Received a call from someone at Sears on 8/10/2023 at 1100, stating that my appointment would have to be rescheduled for 8/17/2023 due to technician assigned to my claim no longer at that company.

The air conditioning froze and has a leak in the Freon. Put stop leak in and added Freon in the unit. So far the unit is running well. Hopefully the stop leak will have stopped the leak. The unit is only about 3 years old so don’t know why there was a leak in the air conditioner.

I filed a request for garage door repair, and it took five weeks before a technician came to repair it. Two appointments were set up with two different companies. I waited four hours on two different days. When no one showed to repair the garage door, I called the companies and neither one had agreed to do the job. We were not allowed to see the policy coverage until after we paid. In reading the policy there were lots of contradictions. The fact that an appliance can be replaced at your choice of size, color and brand is horrible. And telling us we are waiving our constitutional rights throughout the policy is terrible. We canceled our policy as soon as we read it.,

The Sears Tech Joe was outstanding! Great communication skills, was worth the wait he was so nice and paid attention to detail. I’m glad I chose Choice Home Repair. Buying this home warranty was needed but it was same as buying a car. Your negotiation for a price that the public is not familiar with is unfair. Rather than having a straightforward price for a great product. If there is mark up based on commission be upfront. So I was disappointed.

My overall experience with CHOICE was very good. The gentleman who was sent to do the work was courteous, professional and was able to answer any questions that I had regarding my repair. The initial call started out being a long disagreement about what was covered, but luckily I had my warranty in front of me and was able to better explain my problem.

The Sears tech came and said he needed to wait to complete the repair until a part has arrived that he had to order. We are still waiting over a week later. Our previous experience with Choice was terrible. Our AC broke last month and we were told we would have to wait 4 days for help. We are foster parents with a 75 year old man and a daughter with special needs. We could not wait 4 days in 113 degree heat. Choice really let us down.

I received your denial on the Washing Machine repair of the lid issue per contract terms. I accept it but don't like it. A poorly designed under the lid plastic strip cracked for the second time. This was my second lid. Maytag wants $300 to buy a lid directly. I will buy a new washer for $650 and it will just be a metal lid not a nice glass lid with a bad underside. I hope you folks will reconsider this for next year's terms. I don't mind the $65 service fee so you can have a report but the problem is the manufacturer engineered a weak underside lid. Not my misuse of it. Who puts plastic under a lid thinking it will hold up? One minor bit of praise though for your contractor in Tampa, Fuse. They are very good and even came a day earlier than scheduled. Hold on to Fuse. Mark in Tarpon Springs, Fl.

Brandon was very kind, patient and helpful and informative. This is my second year purchasing the home warranty, I have not used it yet but I understand that the plan has now included more appliances. I had a different warranty with another company and I canceled it because twice they could not find a plumber and after two months they sent me a letter stating that I could find my own plumber, which I did and they reimbursed me. I never want to be put in that position again to find my own plumber, electrician, or any other clinician.

It took 3 days for technician to come and Inspect my air condition unit. Once he diagnosed the leakage everything Went fast. Next day I got approval for new unit from the company. I am thankful to Choice Home Warranty for excellent service. I will recommend this company to my friends.

Other than the fact they couldn't promise the same repair company I'm still happy with the process. Hopefully the same company will pull the repair. It would be nice in the future to put something like that in place for your policy holders. It's just more encouraging if the same techs can build the customer relationships.

We have used the warranty four times on our newly purchased home. Twice for the refrigerator and twice for the air conditioning system. All four encounters were pleasant with competent repairmen and excellent communication. This was a great benefit as a homebuyer and as a homeowner. Refrigerator repairs were done by Sears and covered relatively expensive parts both times. Air conditioning was done by two different companies.

We had a pleasant experience when speaking with your representative at the time of purchasing the home warranty. It went downhill from there. We had to file a claim due to leaking water heater. Speaking with a claims person or emailing the claim went well. What was so bad was that we had to wait 2 weeks or more to get a tech out to our house. We called numerous times within that period to get updates. No luck. At almost 3 weeks after the claim, we finally had a tech come out. He told us it would be another week before we would get our water heater because he had to file a claim and then order the water heater. The next day we get an email stating that our claim did not qualify for replacement. We looked at our policy and read the explanation. After reading the email and going through over 2 weeks of no hot water, we decided to cancel our policy. I would hate to see what would happen if our HVAC had gone out in the middle of winter!
We took this warranty out in good faith that it would be helpful to us as we are getting older and not able to replace or repair items on our own. The fact that we cannot call and get updates and have to sit and wait for some type of communication from you is ridiculous. We paid the tech his 75.00 and then ended up having to pay a 50 dollar cancellation for something we never got to use seems a bit unfair. We are waiting now for our money to be placed back into our bank account. If your cancelation and reimbursement procedures are like the rest of your procedures, we may not see our money for weeks.
What is sad is that I had bragged about our home warranty policy to friends and family and recommended your company to them. I have already called them to warn them about your sorry service and procedures as well as contacting the local realtor who recommended you to us. I wouldn't want her to get a bad name for recommending a company who can't deliver services or comply with their own rules and procedures.

Even though the work order that he had did not include all of my problems that I had reported to the Customer Service Rep, he was pro-active in getting authorization to complete all of my request and in a timely manner. I filed a claim on July 17th about my A/C and still have not had anyone come or call. We have called choice every week and it is always the same story. Someone will call in 24 to 48 hours. Living in Texas with this unbearable heat sucks. They do not give you a name or phone number to talk to a complaint department. It’s always the same thing when speaking to someone and never can you reach the same person. We asked about a refund a they said you would only receive your payment amount. Not sure what to do at this point. We however can bite the bullet and pay out of pocket but then what is the policy for!

I used CHW several times. The process went well. Just called them, told them what I needed and they set it up. A day later, somebody came out. My recent claim experience was great. The tech came out and told me the garbage disposal needed to be replaced. Went out in his truck and got one, brought it in. Paid him his $85 and off he went.

I've had some positive experiences as well as some not so positive ones. For the most part, Choice Home Warranty has done what they needed to do. I had an issue when it came to my Whirlpool tub. A piece that was attached to the motor was an issue and they said that they didn't cover that. The other day, I called for something they were supposed to come and fix and we had a dispute back and forth with their determination. On a scale of 1 to 10, in terms of me being satisfied with their stuff, I'll give them a 7.
Based on some stories I've heard with some other warranty companies, I would recommend Choice, but I would tell people to do some research. "Make sure based on the condition of your home and what you may think may be some issues that may arise in the near future, consider that. Consider your location. Speak to them directly about their vendors, how they pick and choose the contractors that come out." I referred Choice to someone who lives in a completely distant area. They were in Pennsylvania, and Choice did not work for her at all because of their techs. It was an inconvenience. I also have another friend who asked for some information about Choice because she's not happy with the company that she's currently going with.

Microwave stopped working. CHW sent a tech. We paid the deductible and gave property access to the tech for problem diagnosis. The tech left without communication. 2 weeks later we heard from CHW stating they will be replacing the unit then a message asking us to go to the claim and accept payment in lieu of replacement. CHW offered $191 for over $900 unit. We appealed the decision and talked to claim specialist. The specialist was so rude and did not want to hear nor understand that comparable unit cost 4 times is more than what is being offered. The specialist refused to change the amount based on photos, manufacturing company records and all requested documentation. It was a ridiculous call.

I have had a pretty good experience with CHW overall. They are good at responding quickly and have covered nearly all my claims. The only issue I have is the time it takes to get a vendor. I wish that was faster. Other than that, I can’t complain about the service.

I was extremely please with the speed the repairman came and assessed the issue and took care of it be deciding it needing replacing. Things were perfect until I was ready to get a new freezer and saw that it may take up to 30 days to be issued a gift card. It is the middle of gardening season and not having this freezer for potentially another month is a problem. I have produce literally going to waste if I can't can it fast enough that normally would have gone into the freezer. I don't exactly love the fact you can only go to Lowe's for a replacement but that's doable....The unknown time factor not so much.

My ac was leaking in my attic, the guy knew exactly what the problem was and went outside to unstop my line. Took about 20 minutes and he was done with everything. He told me also I can put my ac on any temp in my house but to leave it set and not keep changing it.

Choice Home Warranty is very affordable, and someone is usually out within a couple of days when I have a claim. Any time I submit a claim, they email me the information such as the claim number. My washing machine stopped working. I called them. They were here within two days. They gave me an estimate, and they'll be back out in a week to fix it. The tech is a great guy. He came in, diagnosed it, told my wife what was wrong, and said he was gonna check his truck to see if he had the part. He didn't have the part. He said, “I will give you a call back when we know when the part will be in.” Then they rescheduled another appointment. The only thing is sometimes Choice tries to cheapskate you when something is not fixable. They'll lowball you. Then you gotta come back and negotiate with them. Instead of lowballing, they could offer a fair price.

It would have been good to know that they wouldn't be calling from the number provided. Based on the email I received, I was expecting a call from them between 11 am and 3 pm. Since I don't want robocalls, the number they called from was not recognized and went straight to voicemail. I did call the number provided and left a message. However, they called back with a different number. I had programmed the provided number so I wouldn't miss the call. That only works if the client has all numbers used by company. They did fix the issue but identified another problem that would cost additional money outside of the warranty coverage. We declined that service at this time as it is not in our budget.

I've paid Choice Home Warranty more than I've used them. It's pricey. But it's worth it. I had a claim recently, and it was a great experience. The guy was very knowledgeable, came in, fixed it, and went on about his business. I also called for some plumbing and that was great. The contractor called me two days later. From the time I called to the time the guy came out, it was three days, and it was fixed that day. It was quick.

On 28 Jul 23 I opened an account with Ken. I later changed my mind and called Ken to cancel. He said I would recieve refund in 5 days. I called today 8 Aug 23. More than 5 days. I called to follow up to find out that my account was not canceled. Insult to injury. I HAD TO TALK TO SOMEONE ELSE... I talked to Aaron who promptly hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint with BBB and whatever other actions I can take to recover my money.

I have Choice and have filed claims for my freezer, stove, and now my garage door opener. Each time, the rep arrives and fixes the problem and I'm happy. The only reasons for 3 vs. 5 stars is 1) I couldn't get online to file the claim bc it didn't recognize my email. 2) The service charge used to be $75 and all of a sudden, the rep said it was $85. 3) I wish the claims could be completed all in one visit so I'm not paying $85 for one and another $85 for another, when I filed the claims all at the same time. On top of the monthly $45 to have the membership.

I am completely disappointed with the services. Nothing is covered and all managers refers to read warranty documents. I will never go with this company. I will not recommend to anyone. Case managers are rude and not explaining the reason for denial. Case managers need to learn how to be professional and talk to clients.

One of my fan blades broke and became lodged against the side of the unit and caused fan motor to overheat. The claim was denied because they said it was not normal wear and tear. If was not normal wear and tear, what was it. I didn't break it and God didn't break it, then it had to be normal wear and tear.

Updated on 10/30/2023: In July we had a claim. We paid the tech who looked at it and then sent you the info. It got approved. But then we never heard from you or the tech again. Many many times I called for the update. It was costing in our electric. One guy said waiting on a part. Another month and we called again. Then no answers, just that someone would call us back. That never happened. This last time calling for any hope we were told the claim was closed for lack of activity. I called all the time, you guys lacked the activity. And what made it worse was how we were treated by the people who answered the phones. Without exaggerating, they were the rudest people ever. One would not allow us to speak to a supervisor. The very last one was actually in the dispute department and he was civil.
At that point I asked for my subscription to end. And a reimbursement of what we paid. They said no. So taking a chance without choice we had to open a claim again. Pay $65 again, only to have this claim denied!!! Each tech had two different stories. So we will never buy warranties again. The very first claim the AC went out and we had to fight even for that. It was Normal wear and tear. So I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone. You need phone people who have people skills and are polite. I'm sorry. It feels weird to do this, I've never had to. I did write a poor review when 3 months went by after we were approved. It was the worst summer ever.

Purchased an investment property in which the seller purchased a Choice Home Warranty. The very first item on the coverage list was the A/C unit. 4 months after we closed on the property the A/C started not cooling well. Choice Home Warranty says it was not covered because the repair needed was not due to normal wear and tear. The repair tech told me that he did not say it was not normal wear and tear but that it was old and repair parts were not available and recommended replacing unit. Buyer Beware, Choice Home Warranty will find any way to not replace items covered. There are other Home Warranty companies that do what they say.

It just pops up by email and text. A call would be nice to see if you're actually going to be able to be home at the time that it is assigned.

My technician took too long to schedule (2 weeks). I called multiple times, and the first two people I spoke with both assured me in the first week that the ticket was submitted that my ticket had been escalated/prioritized and that a technician would be scheduled within 48 hours. Upon calling the 3rd time in week #2, the manager I was escalated to informed me that the ticket had not been escalated/prioritized. This manager was very professional and understanding, and ultimately had actually prioritized/escalated the ticket as she said she would - as my technician was scheduled shortly after the call. Ultimately, this was a poor experience because I was lied to by the first two representatives that I spoke with, one claiming to be a Supervisor. However, once the technician was scheduled, the process ran very smooth.

It took an inordinate amount of time for a repair person to be found. All emails sent to your company were returned as undeliverable. I paid in advance for 3yrs of service and questioned the salesperson if my living in a rural area would be a problem and was assured it would not.

The technician was very professional and friendly. He fixed the sensor, turned on the oven and realized the igniter was not working. He purchased the part and returned that same day and my oven is working. I would recommend this technician and Choice warranty. Great job and exceptional customer service. The Customer Portal does not work for me. Also calling on the telephone sometimes is a nightmare. Called several times and get message for a call back due to long wait times and said yes and never got callbacks. This has caused me to contact vendors outside of Choice at a higher cost for services.

Filed a claim for my AC on a Sunday thinking, oh brother. Here we go, my first claim and it had to be my AC in the summer and I live in S Florida!! To my surprise, I was contacted by a contractor on Monday and scheduled for a repair on Tuesday. Very pleased so far. Contractor hasn’t repaired the problem as of yet. Will keep you posted.

The technician that came out was very knowledgeable, courteous, polite and patient with me. Overall length of time here was not long at all. I most definitely would recommend Justin to anyone to do any type of repairs. Overall for the company I am disappointed about respond given on one of my tickets and that is why I only gave a 9.
