I was pleased that you use great technicians. Our washer broke and you sent out Sears Appliance Repair. Used to have American Home Shield. They used subpar technicians. Rated 2 1/2 stars on Yelp. Always had to get authorization before repair began. Your rep man came, saw the problem and ordered the parts. They are rated 4 stars on Yelp. Great service!!

Total Plumbing visited on 9-11-23 to fix my leaking toilet. The worker's name was Bob. He kindly placed on shoe covers before entering my home and I really appreciate that professionalism and consideration. Bob got to work quickly after calling Choice for work repair approval. It was completed in much less time than I anticipated and he explained to me the work done. I believe they have done work for me before, but Total Plumbing does excellent work and I would recommend both their company and Choice Warranty (of which I have been a member for years). Thanks for a work well done once again.

Had issues with refrigerator for months after 4 or 5 months of repairs and sevice calls was declined reimbursement for another fridge..issue was the tech saying someone must be forcing open and closed therefore not normal wear and tear.. Very disappointed because it's just me and my husband no problem opening and closing.. After talking to a specialist issue resolution she decided to replace the fridge. I went through a lot of stress and noise for months and months. The young lady finally resolved my problem..it will be replaced.

Great coverage and prices. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. I have them check to make sure we had plenty of contractors in my rural area and was greatly surprised to hear there are over 30 contractors in my little area. They even named the companies so I know they are local.

Repairman was very professional - called and texted before he came. Explained what needed to be fixed and received quick approval from Choice so was able to repair opener same day in an efficient manner. Explained what he recommended with cost of repair so that there were no unexpected surprises or costs. Highly recommend Ariel the Garage guy!

The technician was very knowledgeable, patient, and professional. He diagnosed the air condition system issues quickly and accurately. In addition, he and his company, ServiceCare, provided excellent customer service. Always called in advance of arrival and arrived on time. I would definitely use and recommend him and his company without hesitation.

I am very pleased with the work that Carlos did in repairing my garage door. My only criticism is that I had an appointment window of 11-3. Not having heard from him at 2:50 I called him. He was running late and would arrive around 4. He should have called me earlier and told me this as I was waiting since 11.

My faucet was leaking every time I turned it on, it was such a mess in my garage, it’s fixed now, the plumber was very professional and also very pleasant. He went to the hardware store right away, bought the parts he needed and fixed my leak. I’m so pleased that I purchased the Choice Home Warranty.

I expected a $65 service call yet my bill was $233.89. That's a far cry from $65.. I don't understand this. And no one told me in advance. I did get an email saying I would owe $96 dollars. Then the bill totaled 233. Still this is not what Choice states when they send a repair person. They say $65.

He arrived and then fixed the problem in short order. He also instructed us on the problem and the solution. He is a very nice and competent helper! He has serviced us before and we hope that he will come again, should the situation warrant it. Also, he was flexible with the schedule. Initially we were scheduled for morning service, though no one asked us about our schedule. I called the technician, and I left a voicemail. Quite rapidly, he changed it to an afternoon service.

Very disappointed in you guys. No telephone manners. The guys never showed up to complete the job. I called him three times and he said he was on his way, never showed up and he apologized the next day when called me and said, "I will be there around" and again never showed up to do the job.

Your repairman man was on time and very quickly determined the issue. After you approved the the repair, he communicated via text (which I liked) that the part had arrived and we set up an appointment to repair. He was great.

This organization wasn’t truthful when the policy was delivered, therefore I cancelled in the same day. When I confronted the resolutions specialist, she yelled at me, cut me off rudely and argued with me on every valid point I raised. The policy didn’t disclosed all information I gave the original sales agent.

My technician quoted a price of $650 for parts not covered. He entered my residence with only a water tank and no extra parts. When asked about it he said he'd refund me for two of the parts! I need a refund for all for that he lied about. Choice had left out up to me to handle this situation which is very customer unfriendly.

I have had to use Choice Warranty 3 times, washer, dryer and refrigerator. Each time the service (by Sears) was great. Now I am waiting to get someone to come and service or fix my heat pump which quit yesterday, it is very hot here in Yuma. I hope someone calls soon, it is 87 deg. F in the house.

I receive a call from Choice Home Warranty to see if I was interested in a home warranty. We talk and I received the information I needed and decided to join. All went well and I am please with the service I received. I will read over the policy to get a better understanding of what the policy cover. I was inform that I had 30 days to review and if not pleased could get full refund.

I put a claim in on leaky dishwasher and they told me that they would give me $250 allowance for a new one. I called and appealed and they said, "Sorry $250 is it"- I can't find a new one for $250 at Lowe's. So now I don't know what to do-

After several hours of researching the best home warranty program available, I was contacted by this company representative Gerald **. He was very professional and very knowledgeable about the plans. He informed me of what my options were, and he also initiated questions about possible military service and senior discounts. He provided basic information via email to confirm who he was and with which company I was speaking to before I felt the need to give any credit card information. I was very pleased with the final contract that I received from this company. I would recommend this company to my friends and family and anyone else out there. Looking for a home warranty program. I've had CHW for two years now...in that time I have logged 3 issues. The first two they didn't find a service provider. I cancelled the first and had it repaired myself. The second I found someone and tried to get reimbursed but didn't follow procedure on having the service provider contact them in advance...my fault. This third issue was rejected by CHW initially, I called them and they did push it out to their network. After the repair was done, CHW then rejected the repair about an hour after the technician left. All of this is very frustrating for me and I will not be renewing with CHW.

I appreciated the promptness when I first set up the claim. The service person was there within a day, and the decision was, made within minutes that we needed to replace our item. However, we were told it could be up to 30 days before we received the Lowe's card so we could purchase a new one. So, we're without our microwave for possibly 30 days. My hope is that if we have a more important item break, we won't have to wait this long. A cash reimbursement would make more sense than a gift card to a specific store.

I called in to Choice on claim #**. The plumber fix the commode, but not the leaky faucet! When I called Choice about this, the lady mentioned it was two different things - so I would have to do a new work order and pay the $65 all over again. She also mentioned the plumber could not do both. A blockage and a leak??? I stood next to the plumber and he said he could do both but the leaky faucet was not put in his work order. The leaky faucet is next to the commode on the BR sink. Why couldn't he do both? Now if I want the leak fixed, I have have to pay another service fee. What gives??? Is this a scam??

Easy appt made for sears tech. Arrived on time. Good courteous tech. Must wait for part. Maybe 15 Sept install. I paid 85 dollars for tech. I am paying 65 dollars each month for the choice insurance. The part to be installed is 145 dollars, it is covered by the Choice insurance.

Safas was great. The scheduling was trying since they were from Baltimore Md. I hope CHW has more local representation for services. CHW did work hard to find services but evidently, local contractors are hard to find and deal with warranty companies. One of the companies reported that they struggle with getting payment for their services and will not work for warranty companies. AHS is another one but they are costly and continue to raise their prices.

For the most part, I have had a successful experience. Some very quick responses and resolution to the particular issue. Few that were a little frustrating, but I would recommend the program and I have to others. I would like to see a phone number noted on the confirmation of service to contact the company. Also, the window I received of 8 hours was a bit inconvenient, try to shorten it to 4 hours or less. Thank you.

Some of the customer service agents need professional development and customer relations training. Lack of consideration, systems understanding, and overall poor behavior reflects poorly on your company and downgrades the customer experience. One agent disconnected my call after refusing to allow me to get help with my claim from someone else.

Response time was reasonable, my tech arrived in the time slot I was given. He was very quick to fix my issue (approximate 15 minutes) and answer any questions I had. My only complaint is I had emailed you all the day before & asked that the tech call or email me that they would be arriving in about 20-30 min because I was at a relative house but did not receive any notification. Luckily I was there.

Loved my plumber. Cleaned two drains in maybe 12-15 minutes and discussed other issues. Plan to make him permanent plumber and use him to install water heater in near future. Much cheaper than other services I have used!!! One issue was he was scheduled for 11-3, but hadn’t showed by 4:30. I called and he said claim was cancelled. Choice had canceled when I added second drain, but forgot to open new claim. So glad I called!!

My experience was very satisfying. I was given accurate facts and up to date Information. Did not sound like a sales pitch. Price was fair. I was surprised there was deductible but that was fair as well. Yes I would recommend. However time will tell if something happens. I was told 24 hours 7 days a week which is why I choose to sign with them.

Each time I’ve placed a claim, it’s been an exhausting effort to convince you all that you DO actually cover the issue I have. Recently it was a sump pump issue that I have ADDED coverage for and I was still told I wasn’t covered. At this point it’s cheaper financially and mentally to just get a refund and do the work myself.

Quick phone call to Choice Warranty allowed me to open a claim which was responded to via email contact within minutes. Within an hour, I had a scheduled appt. and contact info. The technician arrived on the scheduled date, on the early end of a four hour block of time, promptly found my problem and took care of it quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with my Choice Warranty contract and have had good experience with the technicians sent.

Started as a disaster. 126 hours from claim to service. Horrible phone interactions with self centered skill lacking customer service. Resolution agent on Wednesday saved the day and the account. She listened and offered solutions. Actual service was excellent. Technician was service oriented and solved the problem quickly. Attic Air is a company we would refer.

You send me a scheduled appointment day and time without speaking with me. Before scheduling appointments the repair service should reach out to the client so an appointment can be set up between the two of them. You set up an appointment for 8/28 yet no one showed up. My unit is want fixed until Sunday 9/3.

Been with Choice Home Warranty for three years. Have a problem with water pressure coming into the house. Took two weeks for Choice Home Warranty to make a decision and then they only offer $300, your plumber you sent them. They want 1300. I should not have to pay $1000 out-of-pocket. I am disputing the amount! Also, I have the supreme package.

Positive Technician quality. Better than the competition (AHS, 1st American Home Warranty). Poor: Choice Home Warranty timely communication and updates. Poor: commination skills from call center, read from scrip only. Same as above from a manager call back. Slow: technician being assigned to claim. Overall loved quailty of assigned vendors, unhappy with apology email from (Please accept our deepest apologies for the delay getting a vendor assigned for claim), Two Claims, Two apology forms.

The lady that helped me with my purchase of a CHW policy was very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. I have considered buying a policy for some time and "Googled" for a list of the top 10 best home warranty providers. CHW was listed as #1 and that endorsement plus the sales rep's help was the reason for my making my choice for CHW.

Choice Home Warranty is one of those companies that say they will take care of you, but too many vendors have had bad experience with them and won't work with them, so then that leaves you to find your own vendor, often out of their network and they won't pay for the repairs you need. They also only want to pay for items at their cost, not what it costs to replace the appliance. Overall, terrible service, terrible customer service. I will never recommend this company and will never use them again. What a rip off.

The technician was great but the warranty response left a lot to be desired. The technician was supposed to return on the first but I did not hear from him, so I called Choice Warranty and I had to wait from August 28th to September 9th to get my dryer repaired.

Was the first time I had called for a dishwasher issue. Took 2 days to assign a technician. The work was completed and then was informed that it won't be covered. Very disappointed. Seems like a typical insurance claim where the claim is denied and we have to chase to prove that it's normal wear and tear.

Bad compressor which needs to be replaced or I need a new freezer and Choice decided to send funds to me but the amount is less than what a new freezer costs for an equal model and Choice advertised. Either it will be fixed or they will replaced with the same model or better.

I called to check what does APV stands for and she wasn't able to tell me. The rep told me no order request was submitted from the repair company which is Sears. My part did arrive by UPS today. Now have to wait for them to come back and fix my dryer.

When I first called in for the repair a repair service was scheduled about a week away. I explained that since it was a gas leak I need a sooner repair. I was told by the customer service representative that Choice was not an emergency service. The rep became rude and uncooperative. I was upset about it taking so long and I needed it sooner. After several minutes of arguing I was transferred to another problem solver. He too became rude and uncooperative. He too stated that Choice was not for emergency service. I needed the repair sooner. He canceled the repairman and said they find another that could get to me sooner. Three days later I got notice that another repairman was scheduled and it was actually another day further away. I gave up.
When he arrived he couldn't work on my problem because it was not red tagged. I knew nothing about red tagging. No one told me anything about this even though the repairman showed me his work order and stated on the order from Choice that it had been red tagged otherwise he wouldn't have even showed up. He agreed to have this done and return at no additional charge. To this day I still have not gotten the repair done. We haven't had the use of our stove since the very beginning. At this time I wish I had never bought this warranty. It's useless so far. At this point I'm out $65.00 and no repair. The repairman did agree that I would not have to pay that again and he said that there be no additional charge for the red tagging. I guess we'll see, someday. Right now I would not recommend Choice to anyone.

To be honest I have never been so disappointed with a home warranty company as I am with Choice at this time. On Aug 28, our local gas supplier (Ameren) red tagged our water heater due to a gas leak in our home. On that same day, I immediately contacted Choice. I called every day or every other day, which you have documented, every time being told to wait another 24-48 hours each call. Almost 2 weeks later, On Sept 8th, I decided we could not wait any longer on Choice to repair our Hot Water heater and we would go the route of the reimbursement option. After calling a local provider we were told they work with Choice often and this would be resolved. NOW today, Sept 9th, we find out our claim has been denied. And we have to appeal it.
In the past, we never had these issues with our previous Home Warranty Company or had any of these inconveniences that went on over a almost two week period! If this does not get resolved, I see no reason to continue to keep a home warranty with your company and will resort back to our previous company with whom we were very pleased! Right now the fix does not seem to be working. AC ran all night and now the temperature in the home is rising. Weekend so I have to wait until Monday to get a hold of someone. At the rate that the temperature is rising the house will be over ninety degrees by then.

Service Technicians was outstanding, very knowledgeable, understanding what was wrong. The time that it took from choice to get to the technicians I felt was a little on the slow side. I understand that it was a holiday when I first reported my issue but I felt that we could have got service a little bit sooner understanding that our situation was dire and temperatures were in the 90s in my home.

I placed the claim in the morning and I got a call from the technician in the same morning to schedule the service. Mark, the technician, was on time and diagnosed the clothes dryer immediately and fixed it on the same day. He’s friendly and professional. We are happy that he got the clothes dryer working right away.

I'm so glad that I made the smart investment in my Choice Home Warranty. My garbage disposal froze and locked up. The friendly, courteous, and professional plumber came out and fixed the problem. I recommend that everyone gets a Choice Home Warranty. Think about it, you get health insurance, life insurance, car insurance, home insurance, it only makes sensenthat you would get Choice Home Warranty to protect your most valuable asset against common repairs such as this.

Please be advice about this company and their ethical practices before you do business with them. Their contract and agreement they have with you is meaningless, and they will tell you that when you need to use the warranty. This is a lengthy read, but please read before doing business with them. Here is my experience:
I called and placed a claim for my air conditioning unit not cooling correctly. Choice Home Warranty sent a technician out a week later; the technician diagnostic was the evaporator coil was not functioning correctly and had a leak. He said he would file the claim with choice and they will get back with me. A few hours later I received an email stating “congratulations we are going to cover your evaporator cool.” Below that it stated I need to give choice my credit card information because I will owe them $1475 for parts. It then stated I need to pay the technician $3100 upon arrival for his additional services. I called choice for an explanation, I was told according to the technician the system is not comparable if just the evaporator coil is changed and I need to pay to get it compatible.
I called the technician. He informed me he never told choice that, he then said my system is a newer system and there is no issues with compatibility. Changing just the evaporator coil will be fine. I called choice back, they then told me I need to deny the additional charges and a case manager will call me. I denied the additional $4500 plus in charges and waited. Two days later I was in touch with a case manager. I was told that the appointment in the phone with him is just a 15 minute call because he is busy. I asked for an explanation. He said I have to pay the extra charges if they will change the evaporator coil.
I asked him why he said because of compatibility issues. I informed him the technician said that’s not the case. He paused and then said, "Well here’s the bottom line. I have the sole decision in this matter and that’s how it is." He said either pay the additional costs or figure something out. I asked for a manager. He told me he will schedule a 15 minute call with his manager. That was another two days later. In two days the manager called and said it’s a compatibility issue. I told him I had two technician come and looked at it and they all said that’s not the case. He then said, "Well what I can do is give you $548 because that’s how much a new coil plus refrigerant and labor will cost." I asked him so for $548 worth of work you want me to spend $4500 plus out of my pocket to get the system “compatible” he said that’s correct.
I went and got 4 bids for a new evaporator coil. With refrigerant and labor the bids were between $2500-3400. I called choice and asked how they got to a number of $548. Another case manager told me that’s the real cost and I am not choosing contractors correctly and I am getting ripped off. She told me they will not fix the i evaporator coil. That I can either take $548 or figure it out.
Be careful reading these reviews on here. They are misleading. It is now two weeks, and I am still trying to get choice to honor their contract. In the middle of all this yesterday they changed the terms to my contract and monthly rate. They sent me a email stating this goes in effect in two weeks. So in the middle of a claim, they will change your contract as well.
I am going to have to possibly end up taking this to arbitration. I have all calls, correspondence and contracts to show how truly this operates. They are not morally or ethically practicing their words or literature. They are misleading and will not show any empathy or concerns for your needs. They will make you wait days to speak to someone as well. I will update this if anything changes. Everything I stated is a non emotional fact. This company is rated a C with the BBB. My microwave failed to rotate cup of water inside and stopped heating. The repairman took it apart and fixed it. Worked efficiently and quickly. Very nice man. Suggested needed a new door. Looked it up and found it no longer in stock or available. He repaired it with 2 screws and it seems to be steady now.

Response was quick from setting up time claim was submitted till the time contracted company showed up. Whole process was very easy, quick the company that came out was very professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. I don’t see myself stopping this coverage. However the company needs to fix how you can leave a review. This is the only thing I have an issue with.

For freezer water leak, 2 service fees -July 6th, August end. 1st time clearing ice done partly. The resolution manager WAS RUDE, asked for 2nd service fees, 2nd time showed up after 1 month, customer, is not responsible. Manager did not care if 1st service done incorrectly. We have 4 homes with 5 years CHW. No concession in rare cases like this when customers could not avoid calling after a month.

The Technician who came showed up on time. Was able to find the problem and after waiting for Choice Warranty to approve he replaced the broken part. After replacing the parts he proceeded to check and fix any wires that he felt he didn’t like. As he was leaving he heard a noise that he didn’t like and checked out the noise and noticed that the compressor wasn’t working properly. He could have left long before but the AC system would have shut down and I wouldn’t have had any AC again. He said that I need a new system and would contact CW for me. Now I’m just waiting on them to approve and finally get AC.

First of all Chad, the technician, who came to fix my AC was great. Absolutely no complaint there. My issue is with how the matter was taken care of (or lack thereof) by Choice. Shortly after submitting a claim I got an email with an appt. for Thursday Sept. 7 with a window of 11-3. No one showed up. At first I was upset with the AC company until I learned that Choice doesn't make the appt. but the AC company does and they knew nothing about the appt. that Choice had given me. After talking to the AC company and giving them my claim number they were out the next morning with apologies. Then...after Chad, the technician, left I get another email from Choice with another "appt" that was for later that day after the job had been completed.
This is the first time since purchasing my plan that I have had cause to use it. As a recent widow I was relying on it. I had to go an extra day with no AC in the Florida summer heat because of this. Of course I hope nothing happens in my home to cause me to have further repairs in the future but if I do...I can't help but wonder how reliable it is.

Horrible experience. I would never recommend Choice Home Warranty or the company that did the work to any of my friends or family. Took almost five weeks to come out and then charged me $900 for a list of items and never did the work. They said the tank and then left.

Placing a new claim for service request was pretty easy to do online. But soon after, calling in for help with customer service in having to be scheduled due to urgent need of repair of our a/c system, the customer service reps were not helpful in getting prompt attention in having it scheduled with a specific servicer, as well as having it reassigned to a new servicer for earlier schedules. No email for customer service. No Chat option to get quick response.

I have been waiting for an e-card from Lowe’s to purchase a dryer and I have not received the e-mail yet to do so, I also had an issue with my washer and wanted it to be serviced along with my dryer but CHW wanted me to pay a service fee for each appliance instead of having both serviced at the same time. It's coming up on 3 weeks I've been waiting to get my air conditioner fixed. The company that you sent out doesn't answer their phones, their mailboxes are full. He forgot what he diagnosed the problem with. All he cared about was the $65 and selling me a new unit so I looked at the reviews and people complain that all he wanted was the service fee and to sell a new unit. I am very dissatisfied with this service. I've called your company numerous times to complain. I've had other work done on hot water heater and some electrical work and they just came and did the repair.
This guy said he had to take pictures and send in all this information and now he's trying to tell me that some of the stuff's not warranty. I'm on a fixed income that's why we purchased the warranty. My number is ** and I wish someone there preferably a manager or a supervisor can help me. People die from being in houses when the temperature is110- 115° outside. I'm to the point where I'm going to call up the news station and see if they can help.

I called in my claim and I was asked on the name brand of the refrigerator and I said Samsung or LG. The lady told, "Oh is ok because we work with all brands." So we I thought it was ok. When the tech comes in from Sears said is LG and I have Samsung. He said, "Sorry. Wrong brand. Can't do it and anyway I am on my lunch break." Very unprofessional. I don't understand why you pick a Electrician to repair my pool pump vs a Pool Company. My pool water is starting to become cloudy, and the electrician isn't able to make it to my house until next week Wednesday. This is not GOOD, can a pool company be assigned to my claim. Home air conditioner was not generating cool air on an extremely hot day. Choice was able to get someone who repaired Sears Kenmore washers to my house on the Monday following my Friday afternoon call. The repair guy had to postpone on Monday, but notified me early in the day so that I did not have to wait around all day. We changed the date to the following Thursday, and he called me that morning giving me a 2 hour window he would arrive. They came, found the problem, ordered the part and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Great job, very professional.

My microwave gave up the ghost. I made a claim, the repair technician came the next day and determined what the problem was. Choice Warranty approved the repair in a couple of hours and scheduled the repair for two days later. Assuming everything goes as scheduled, I will be very happy.

The Technician Shawn V from Sears was great and very professional. The scheduling process is a bit antiquated for our current technology. Timeline was between 8-5! We sadly ended up being the last available time. 430pm. Although we had to be there ALL day. Seems that could be narrowed some. Also, this was the second appt we had to make. First one was cancelled somehow??? Lastly, we are coming up for renewal. The barrage of phone calls and email is just TOO MUCH!!!

Our washer was recently diagnosed as not repairable due to lack of parts. We were given the option of accepting was a gift certificate from Lowe’s to replace the washing machine. The problem I have with this is the timeframe of up to 30 days to receive this gift certificate that will only cover 75% of the cost to replace the existing machine with one of comparable value and features. Basically we will be without a washer for possibly 30 days, which I find to be a very poor feature of the home warranty policy.

I have over 10 policies with Choice Home Warranty. They used to cover most of the warranty requests when I started out with them over a year ago. So far this entire year, they have rejected and denied every single warranty request. Every single one. It did not matter the type of request. They always blamed on wear and tear or poor maintenance even when the service tech did not disclose that during diagnosis. I know the policy did not change from last year to this year but somehow they managed to find a way to deny every claim. It's always a battle trying to get them to cover anything now. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone.

The service is good. However, I live in Phoenix AZ, and it 100 plus every day right now. Last big monsoon killed my AC unit.. It's taking way too long to get it repaired and if it wasn't for having a trailer to stay in with AC I'm unsure what I would do. The tech that came out was great, really helpful, and was frustrated with you guys. The unit on my roof is 18 years old.. beyond due for replacement.. but instead you chose to replace the compressor and some other parts that will just fail in a few years again.. I know it's expensive but that's what I'm paying the monthly coverage cost for.. It's frustrating..

A & H Sears Repair Service was assigned by Choice Home Warranty Company to adjust the temperatures in the upper refrigerator and freezer of my KitchenAid Refrigerator. The 1st appointment was August 22-2023. The technician quickly found the cause of the meltdown & ordered the parts. The follow-up appointment was 9-06-2023 & Sears had shipped the parts in advance. It took less than 40 minutes to install the parts and clean the coils to protect the compressor. Technical experience and efficiency were first rate.

It states in the warranty manual all component and parts covered. Warranty still charged for SPRINGS. As a result, I do not know I should spend the money on a new 3 year home warranty contract.

The company, Joseph’s Drain Cleaning, which was utilized for the warranty. Repair of our garbage disposal was extremely quick and thorough with the entire process. They were able to get approval within about 5-10 mins and completed the work the next day! Excellent customer service and left the area cleaner than when they arrived!

I have been trying to call the person, at his request, if I have a question. I do not get a reply. I called the number and sent him an email. Still no reply. Very upsetting. I am assuming it is going to be this way when I file a claim. You were quick to take my money, but not concerned about your customer at this point.

The process was very easy and fast, technician was in my house within 2 days and was very professional and presented themself accurately. Love this company and I would recommended to everyone I know. Shamar was the agent I spoke to. He was very knowledgeable. He helped me choose the best plan and found some discounts for me. After being misinformed by a competitor's program, he guided me through the enrollment process to make sure all my equipment was covered. I don't know what else to say except. Even with this coverage, I hope I never need to file a claim. It's nice to know that if I do, it's nice to know Choice Home Warranty will be there.

The technician arrived on time and completed the service call quickly. He explained, to keep my garage door working properly it need to serviced once a year to have it in tip top condition. I would recommend D and J Garage Doors and use them on my next service if the need should arise.

I have had Choice for many years and for my parents as well and we’re very happy with the service. Their CS reps are courteous and efficient and technicians are sent out within a reasonable time. I’ve also had situations where appliance can’t be repaired and they have sent me a coupon to help in buying a new one. I definitely recommend CHOICE!

The technician that Choice Warranty sent to me was 5 stars all the way. He was nice, extremely polite and very experienced. Choice on the other hand is no longer in my future. After paying relatively high monthly fees, and paying a fee to see what exactly was wrong, I now have to pay another $580 to get it fixed - "for things not covered."
I shifted to Choice because they were a little cheaper in the long run. And I am retired on a fixed income. Their hidden charges have become known to me after the fact the last two times I've used them. As soon as this fiasco is over and my water heater is installed, I will be going back to my previous home warranty company.

We had an issue with our washing machine, repairman came out and was very polite and professional. He said they would have to order parts. Later that day I received an email from CHW that said Good News, they were going to replace the washer instead of repairing it. It was hardly good news. CHW stated the amount they will give to replace it. The amount was less than HALF of the cost of a new washer. (This is for the exact washer, which is still available.)
If that wasn't enough, they are providing the reimbursement in the form of an e-gift card specifically and it's to Lowe's. Why specifically this retailer? If the replacement cost is in the form of a gift card, why is it retailer specific? Why not provide a Visa or Mastercard gift card, so we can determine where we want to purchase the replacement. AND, to top that, it will take 30 days to receive the e-gift card. Seriously, 30 days to send out an email? That is total **, why is there such a delay? This is a major appliance that needs replaced immediately, not 30 days from now. As a result we had to shell out the full amount (more than double the amount they're paying) to replace the washer. I would never renew my warranty with or recommend this company.

Didn’t have to look for anyone. CHW had someone out to my home ASAP. Just had to pay the one time fee. If you don’t have protection for your home and appliances you need to get it because it’s very helpful to have to be on the safe side of things. I love CHW.

Claim for door opener was denied because a roller was defective. How does one know trouble is brewing if the garage opens and closes with no hesitation! This is very underhanded! I would pay for the rollers but Choice should honor the coverage for the opener. Be sure I am leaving this deceiving company!

Prior experience with CHW was a nightmare. Like they didn’t care not get a tech to help us. This time, only a few days assign a tech. Tech has great communications. Last year I had an issue with my a/c. The company you sent out was under review. Not sure what they did but damage the unit completely. They even gave me the $65 fee back and that's when the nightmare began. I was accused of not taking care of my a/c and was denied any repair. I will never recommend Choice Warranty. Your customer service 3 minute phone calls were a joke. Unfortunately I had signed a contract for a couple of years. Will not renew. The experience was so bad, no a/c for a month going back and forth over the repairs and at the end I had to pay for a new unit. No help from Choice Warranty!!

I submitted a claim for roof leak; they claim it happened before the policy was purchased, and denied it. This is not the case, as there was no leak when I purchased the policy. But now I have to fight with them to try to get them to cover it. What a waste of time and money. I will not recommend you to anyone!

Quick response to replace dishwasher. Still haven’t received the gift card though. So we have been without a dishwasher for longer than we prefer. Also we don’t love that we are forced to buy specifically from Lowe’s especially the closest one is quite far from our home. We wish we would just get a check or direct deposit right away so we could go buy one quickly.

I was not satisfied with the A-1 plumbing service. They told me water softener was not covered and tried to sell me a whole system for $2,800. Said salt tub could not be sold separately. I told them that this cannot be accurate and then told me that I could be right. When I called Choice Home Warranty, they told me they had not received a proper diagnosis. The workers that came were very friendly, I had no problem with them, it was the owner, I’m assuming, who I had all Contact with over the phone. I never received a call back so I called back today and I was told the tub would cost $280 Roughly. When I told them that it was covered, they had to backtrack to the email and correcting themselves. Just overall bad experience. I haven’t yet got the part, they are due to come Tomorrow.

My AC unit was leaking water. The tech, Mike, found that a line was clogged and needed to be cleaned out. Apparently, it was not covered under the warranty and he charged me $250, plus the $85 service call fee. I think that was a bit expensive but he was already here and could do it very fast, and he did.

I had no negative experiences during the repair process for my washer. The repair tech was polite and experienced. The timeframe was a bit challenging being forced to use the laundromat for a couple weeks. Those places are expensive. I already understand it takes time to get a repair scheduled and ordered. The process is obviously slower than trying to fix the machine myself. Once the job was complete my washer works good as new.

I wasn't happy having to wait almost two weeks to get my toilet fixed. I couldn't believe Choice wasn't able to find someone who could fix it sooner than that. Had water been spraying all over the place I would hope to have received better service but I'm thinking I may not have. This was the worse service I've ever received from choice. Hoping to see an improvement by selecting more than one plumbing company for the jobs in the near future.

We have now been without hot water for 1 month. It took 2 1/2 weeks just to get a technician assigned. Technician never called to make an appointment. CHW made the appointment when they wanted. Tech came out on a Wednesday, now it is Monday and have not heard anything about a repair. He is waiting for CHW to give an authorization. Not Happy!!

The plumber who came to my address didn’t fix the problem and left a mess plus I had to call someone else and pay them out of my pocket. Hot water tank is leaking water and Choice Management has not explained why water tank claim has been denied. I have a Total Plan coverage!!! I contacted Choice and filed a claim August 30, and today is Sept 5th. Choice Management has not contacted me with reason for denial. I do not know who reads these response but I do not feel comfortable not knowing what to do. I am retired and do not have money to buy a water heater. I need someone to help me. The contractor who does the repair is stuck between me and Choice on what to do.

I had an oven that wasn’t getting hot. My repairman named Victor H looked at it and right off the bat he told me what was wrong with it. Luckily he had the part on his truck and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. Great guy. I will most definitely ask for Victor H if I have any more repairs needed. Choice Home Warranty got right on the claim. They gave me no trouble or problems about my claim. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

Choice does respond quickly although the actual repair vendor may take some time for the actual repair. My experience has been forty-eight hours. Marvin of JZ has worked very hard to repair my dryer, but it still does not dry unless run twice.. He believes it could be the dryer vent, but I had that cleaned out. This dryer has been giving me problems for about 2 years. It was repaired once, before Marvin came, but he has been here at least 4 or 5 times. The timer does not finish it cycles, but he said that would be very expensive to repair, and he isn't certain that is the problem. I think you should help me buy a new dryer. This problem is very frustrating

I signed up for a year's protection. Then I got TWELVE phone calls from this company's representatives (I suspect) each wanting me to upgrade to a multi-year service agreement (not a "contract" according to them) for around $2,900! PUSH-PUSH-PUSH!!! I threatened to cancel my one year agreement if they didn't leave me alone. I don't know if this company is any good, but HIGH PRESSURE always turns me off.

The technician was great. However, Choice Home Warranty repeatedly takes way too long in scheduling service and getting the problem corrected. Expect to wait several weeks! You'll have to take the initiative during the claims process. Choice does not have the telephone numbers for several of their "contractors" - that's up to you to find - for example, their Sears vendor.

It’s been over a month and no one have come out to look at the problem. When I went to the website to check it says that the problem has been fixed. I have not heard from anyone as of yet about the come to fix my refrigerator. Our AC unit stopped working on the Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend. I sent in a claim request that evening. The end of the chain broke on my garage door. The guy said it should be covered so I waited. Then this guy said it wasn't covered. He put some grease up there but the door still wouldn't open so I asked him to leave. That was terrible. He was trying to make money off me. I had a man come that I know does repairs. He has a reputable garage door company. He said they ruined that door. The garage door doesn't open anymore. I have to lift it up and down. I don't wanna do that but I don't have money to get a new garage door. Thank God we still have one door we can go out of.
This week, I went to turn on my kitchen faucet and the faucet broke in my hand. When I called Choice, they said it was not covered because it was cosmetic. When they send these repair people out here, sometimes they don't wanna be bothered and they'll tell you it's not covered. They're making Choice look bad. Also, I live in Fort Worth. Why would they send somebody over here from Dallas? That's stupid. But I had one good thing come out of Choice. A couple of months ago, my sink was leaking. They sent a good plumber out here.

Claim was initiated on 8/24/2023 for a broken handle on a multiport valve. I was informed that there was some difficulty finding a technician in my area and requested that I find one. I used my local pool company to perform repair and submit justification documentation through the website. Claim was rejected and an appeal was filed. I discussed this issue with the claims representative and was under the impression that the technician did not indicate that it was normal wear and tear. Technician updated the claim but then received a phone call that claim was, again, rejected and that no further appeals would be considered. I believe that the failure in the system was due to normal wear and tear and should be covered by the warranty.

The technician arrived 3 days after I put the claim in to address my septic concerns. The red light was on, but the alarm was not sounding. The technician let me know that my septic needs to be pump out. I followed up with Choice to see if my warranty covers the pumping out of my tank. I haven't heard back yet.

When I purchased this home warranty I was assured they would have service tech is our area ( we live in a small town about 1 hour from San Antonio). This was not true. First, the water heater had a problem, they found a great company to fix it but the co told them we needed 2 parts, Choice told them to fix one part and if that didnt work to resubmit and they would then possibly have the second part fixed. Needless to say it took about 2 weeks to fix the water heater. Our A/C went out in 105 heat (My husband is 94 with COPD). They could not find anyone who would work with them. We had to find an A/C company and pay out of pocket.

The tech was good but CHW is the worst. They denied my claim twice to fix it. They keep finding an excuse in the fine print to deny my claim which I have the total home plan which covers everything. But they deny my AC system once last year, was a no-show. This year denied AC compressor and freon leak. I would not renew or recommend them.

Air conditioning problem they didn't find a technician till after 48 hours and that technician cannot come out for a week and it is very hot. I have a senior adult that lives with us and I had to take out of here. When I called they were basically very rude and said they weren't going to do anything. Stay away from Choice.

Service to repair my plumbing issues was scheduled for Friday but the company called and told me they could come out on Thursday instead and I was very grateful since we could not use our shower. The Sage plumbing technician was professional and courteous. He assessed the issue with the shower and the toilet and was able to resolve the problems. He provided quality service.

The policy that I received by e-mail is impossible to print, so I do not know what is contained what exactly is on the policy I need to have a hard copy sent to me now because I have no record that is proper. The plumber's office called to ask if he could arrive earlier. He worked hard to clear the line and said I needed a clean out access and he would be back later to install it. He returned at 7:30pm, did the job and cleared the line. He said he wasn't going to leave me with the problem over the holiday weekend. Technician (Kevin) repaired a split system AC. Unfortunately, while he was responsive in repairing a faulty capacitor, the system is not responding well at the back of the home. I need a repeat visit, please. This system has two units. It seems that one is still not working. I need a follow up visit.

I have had a positive experience with Choice Home Warranty overall, with only one claims issue in the 4 years I’ve been a customer. In that case, the repairman who visited my home was not completely honest. He’d told me I needed to pay the total cost for my repair, and that Choice Home Warranty would reimburse me, which I now know is not correct, of course. Even then, after speaking with a representative and manager, that situation was made right, so I was still satisfied.
