I chose Champion Windows and Home Exteriors because they were the least expensive. I purchased five windows from them. Two are sliding and the others are standard. The installers came in, took the windows out, and put the other ones in. They're awesome. My new windows are beautiful.
We're glad to hear your new windows look beautiful in your home, Dawn! Thank you for your feedback.

The windows are exactly what Champion said they were. We paid for a special glass that doesn't pass through most ultraviolet light so you couldn't feel heat through them. They demonstrated it when they had a heat lamp. And they brought a sample window with the sales guy. He set up one of their sample windows. They have it with them in their bag.
I put my hand out on the standard window. He shone the heat lamp on it. I felt the heat through the window. With their window, I put my hand there, he shone on that using the same light, but I didn't feel a single bit of heat. What the windows prevent is fading of stuff on the inside of the windows like carpeting, furniture and flooring. That would be damaged by ultraviolet light over a long period of time. That was why we went with those windows. They were more expensive but we were willing to pay for that. That was a nice feature that we appreciated. They're good quality windows. They're great for what they said they would do.
The morning that the installers were coming to install the windows, my neighborhood had a power outage so the guy couldn't install the windows because he needed his power tools to do all the windows. So, he left. He was supposed to come during a three-hour window. He got there before the three-hour window started. He didn't even get out of his truck because I came out to talk to him. The power came back on an hour later, which was within the three-hour window. I called. But they had already offloaded his truck and he was on his next assignment.
When I got a call that day from Champion Windows, saying, “How was your experience?” I said, “I didn't get my windows because we had the power outage, and an hour later, I called back, and he's already on his next trip.” And the guy said, “He shouldn't have done that. He should have waited.” The local guy in town here specifically told me that the installer, should not have just left as long as he was in my time frame for my appointment. Because we have power outages all the time and they don't last all day. They last for an hour or two. This one was an hour and 12 minutes by my watch.
I assumed the screens for the windows were supposed to come with the windows. We didn't specifically talk about the fact that the windows might not come with screens. They've ordered them, but they still haven't come. When we had to reschedule and the guy came back, he installed the windows and told us, “There were no screens loaded on to my truck. So, you're gonna have to call the office and tell them that.” Because he expected there would be screens. They install it. So, I did that.
It took weeks of complaining before I got a response. I left messages and expected calls back. I had to give a negative review every time. And I kept saying, “’Cause I don't got any screens on my windows, I still haven't able to put my rooms back together again ‘cause we had to move all the furniture away from the windows for them to work. So, my bedroom and dining rooms are still torn up, and my daughter's bathroom is still torn up two months later because we still don't have the screens on our windows."
They said they're on order. That means they never ordered them to begin with, which means they sold me windows without screens. And it wasn't until I complained, “Where the hell are the screens?” That they either thought, “Oops, we should have ordered screens with the windows,” or “We originally weren't even gonna give them screens ‘cause they didn't ask for them.” But who does that? So, I don't know why we didn't have screens with the windows. The service guy has called and told me that they're on order. And when they get them, they will come out and install them. I got a call from Champion Windows asking how my experience was. I complained to that person. I said, “I still don't have any screens for my windows, so I'm not done yet. I'm still in the middle of the experience.” She put that down and said, “We'll put that as a priority one.” This was still in August. Nothing happened.
Two weeks ago, I got a call saying, “We have ordered the screens.” So, that told me that they didn't have them in the warehouse ever, or else. They couldn't have lost them or installed them in somebody else's windows. They were supposed to be custom-made for these windows. So, I'm assuming there never were any. This was a screw-up on their part and it took them a long time to discover that. I'm not gonna get charged, and that's good, but I still don't have my window screens. And I still can't put my furniture back around my windows.
Please accept our apology for the trouble with getting screens for your windows, John. We will get these installed for you as soon as possible so your project can be completed. Thank you for sharing your feedback here.

We ordered 6 vinyl replacement windows 4/28/22. 1-1/2 years later, our order is still not complete. So far we’ve had 10 appointments. We’ve worked with 5 install techs, 3 customer support reps, 2 supervisors, and even the Regional Operations Manager. From top to bottom the people at Champion Windows are incapable of doing their job correctly. After the initial install I noticed 2 of the frames were cracked and all the trim on the screens were the wrong color. A new order was put in and this is when our experience with Champion fell apart:
2.) After the first 3 mistakes we had 0 communication from Champion – no order confirmation, no update, no apology. I needed to call them to get any info.
3.) When trying to figure out the issue, Customer Support told me 7 separate times that they would call me back. They never did–this includes the supervisors and Regional Ops Manager.
4.) The last visit they triple checked the order was correct but the warehouse still got it wrong. The tech also didn’t bring the right equipment and left the job unfinished.
5.) One tech broke a sash. Another broke a frame that was previously fixed by another tech.
They are handling this situation like it happens a lot. There’s no sense of urgency. No follow through on communication. No concern about the time I wasted staying home from work to make these appointments. They’re not doing anything to make this right except for telling us they’ll get it right the next time…and the next time…and the next time.
We apologize for the negative experience you've had with Champion, Corey. We understand your frustration with the multiple issues and lack of communication. We take your feedback seriously and will work to address these concerns internally. Please reach out to us at (763) 515-8426 if you need further assist in getting any outstanding issues resolved. I had one picture window put out front and the others were standard windows and some with grids also. Since Champion builds the windows from scratch, the rep said the order would take approximately 3 months. The quality was very good. The installation team was quite thorough. One of the team members, Caesar, was very good. He actually inspected all the windows and noticed another defect on the same window that I had noticed a defect and pointed it out to me. The seal that goes around the window seemed like it was popping up and they took care of it immediately. That window had to go and Champion had it changed out in less than a month's time. The service I received was very good. I'm very satisfied. You don't get as much heat coming through the windows as you did before. I told one of my neighbors about Champion Windows because he was interested in putting windows in and he had them come out.
Pedro, thank you very much for your feedback around our install and service. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience here.

Champion's in-home salesman came to our house. He explained the way the windows work and how better they are for the house and the environment. It was a great sales pitch. The installers were personable. They even dealt with my noisy dog real well. They removed the old windows and put the new windows in. One window was a door before they made it into windows. They replaced the ball where the door was as well. The quality of the windows is great. It's 100% what I wanted. It's not cheap, but it's good stuff. Champion Windows is one of the best companies I've ever given money to.
Thank you for your positive review of our sales rep and installers, Brian. We appreciate the feedback.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors was good, quality, efficient and a good company to work with. The person I dealt with was nice, so I just stuck with Champion. We didn't go through with it as quickly as we thought we would. But when we finally got back to it, the rep was very nice and continued on from where we left off. He was very positive and straightforward with it.
The contractor asked good questions. Every time they got lights or fixtures off, they would always ask us, "Do you want to put these back on or do you have new?" That was a positive thing that they did. If we were replacing anything, we could just go ahead and do it then. We weren't, but it was still a nice gesture by them. The siding was delivered a Thursday. They started on it by that Friday, and it took a week. For the windows, got called, they scheduled it for the end of the week, and they were installed that day. Nice and easy. I'm happy with the siding and new windows.
Thanks so much for this positive review, Darrick. We really appreciate it. Thank you for choosing Champion.

The rep came to the house and then, we met him over at the Fort Worth branch to look at the samples. It was all good. The people who put up the windows were very good at answering any questions that we might have had and conscientious about keeping everything clean. During the installation, we had everything moved away from the windows and the installers came out that morning and started tearing everything down. Then, they reassembled and got everything done in a day and a half. Champion Windows provided outstanding service. Everybody that I've ever dealt with, from people on the phone to sales reps to managers, has been extremely good. I've had very positive experience with Champion and I would highly recommend them.
Thank you for leaving us a review, Tracy! We're happy to hear our team delivered outstanding service.

Worst customer service I have EVER experienced period! Yes, they are less expensive, but it's not worth the headaches to save a little, trust me! Stay as far away from this company as you can. Ordered windows & a door in December of 2022 & we're still fighting with them. We had billing issues from the get go & I had to threaten a lawsuit when no one would respond to my emails for four months! When the door was finally installed it broke the same day, June 16th. I reached out to our salesperson who said he would take care of it & nothing. On August 21st, I again threatened legal action & the response was "Oh, did you want me to put in a service request"? Seriously! At that point I decided that I would rather just go outside of Champion Windows & have it repaired by someone else. Then I receive a threatening letter from their office manager stating that if we don't schedule the service they will send the parts back & then charge us when they have to re-order!
So, it's ok for them to blow us off for two months & then they have the gall to threaten us! Also, they haven't been out to the house once since the installation so exactly how did they order parts without even assessing the damage? I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and their response was that I wasn't their customer, my husband was so they refused to speak with me. He had to refile the complaint even though we made the decision to purchase together, as most couples do. I hadn't paid for the door portion of the bill because of all of the problems and today I receive another threatening letter saying they are going to file a lien on my property if I don't pay immediately for a broken door. All I can say is stay far, far away from Champion Windows of Colorado Springs. They are absolutely horrible to their customers!
We apologize for the issues you experienced with our customer service. We take customer feedback seriously and will address this issue with our team to ensure it doesn't happen again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The gentleman who told us about the windows was very professional. There were 111 windows and only one guy did the installation. He cleaned up everything and did an excellent job working by himself. The windows are wonderful but one was cracked when it was gonna be installed and the installer wanted to know if we wanted to go ahead and install or wait until the new window came in, which the window is in the laundry room. So, they're supposed to come on October 4th and replace that for us. Champion’s customer service was wonderful too. If we had any questions, we called or they called us to keep us informed on everything. The windows are expensive but everything is nowadays. It certainly was a lot higher-priced than what we paid the first time around. So, we already knew it was gonna be about that much when we called to check on it and the guy came. So, we weren't surprised.
We're glad to hear we delivered wonderful customer service, Sarah. That certainly is our aim. Thank you for saying so, and taking the time to leave your feedback here.

We purchased windows and a sliding glass door for our house. Champion told us they wouldn't be installed until October but they were installed in August, which was wonderful. The installation crew worked really hard and they cleaned up after themselves. The windows are lovely and I'm very impressed with their quality. Champion's reps were supposed to come out and install a drip thing in one of the windows, but they haven't done that yet. Other than that, we haven't had to call them for anything and I'd recommend them.
Thank you for your feedback, Kevin! We're glad to hear you received your windows and sliding glass door ahead of schedule. We will check on the drip thing you mentioned and be back in touch with you soon. Thanks again.

I got new windows from Champion and we're pleased. The salesperson knew his product well and the installers were excellent. They had to take several breaks, which was very understandable because it was hot out there, but they did a great job. They explained what they were gonna be doing and that it would be noisy. The only bad thing was I was promised a discount that I didn't get and I couldn't find my paperwork to prove it. They're saying the copy of the contract is showing one price but that is not what their rep told me. Other than that, the windows are great.
Thank you so much for this review of your experience, Valerie. We do apologize for the misunderstanding around a discount. Champion replaced the windows in my house. They showed us everything about the windows before they came out. Then they had another person come out and remeasure, making sure that everything was great. The sales process was lengthy. I didn't need for them to go through all that. But they wanted us to understand everything about the window when they were done. They kept me well-informed. It took them five hours to put all the windows in. I work with carpentry, and they did everything the way they were supposed to do. When they were done, they went through and showed me the windows. The only thing is they're not a cheap company.
Thanks for this great review, Franklin! We're glad to know you felt well-informed and cared for as a customer even though the process was lengthy. It's true that we are not the cheapest option. I used Champion Windows and Home Exteriors for a couple of times. They built the roof portion one year to the next year. This time they built my sunroom. I used the same salesman. He's a nice guy. I like working with him. I talked to the installers on a daily basis when they were there. When the materials came in, they came right on and did it. Once they started work, it didn't take over maybe 10 days. They had to wait for concrete and the county inspector to come out and look at it. The quality was very good. I'd recommend anybody that could afford it to get it. I recommended it to three other people already. People come to my house, they see, they like it, and I tell them to use Champion.
Thanks so much for your recommendations, John. And, for this great review! It definitely helps for future customers to read your words and know they'll be in good hands. We're thankful to have you as a repeat customer.

I was trying to get quotes from a bunch of different companies. Champion was the third company that I got a quote from. The price and the warranty were a lot better. The sales rep was knowledgeable and friendly. He honored the discount and was thorough in explaining everything. I like the buy two get two free window deal. That was great and I took advantage of that. I did six replacement windows and the work was excellent. Two guys showed up and worked really well together. I was working from home at the time and it wasn't too distracting. They did the job in one day and it really looks nice. Other unrelated contractors commented that they did a good job too.
On the whole, it was a good experience. Champion got things done quicker than they said they would get it done. They kept me abreast of what was going on. They got the parts finished and delivered. I got what I paid for and there was an excellent warranty. Everything went well. I recommended Champion on the Nextdoor app for people looking for window ideas.

We were lied to and mislead throughout the process, which Champion has admitted to us, and they’re selling product on faulty advertising. We purchased a 3 seasons room on 5/19/23 and we’re told we would not need to spend any more money to condition the space because of the Comfort 365 windows and small size of our room (180 sq. ft.) Which was exactly what we wanted because we, from the start, did not want any external or additional air conditioning units. Once installed, we started using the room during the day and it was consistent 10-25 degrees HOTTER than it was outside. A construction manager visited us and agreed that the 80-90 degree outdoor temperature was like AC compared to our sunroom.
Since it’s been a hot summer, I even asked if it was just due to the heat and everyone assured me the “windows use argon gas insulation and are double paned to keep your sunroom warm in the winter and cool in the summer,” just like their website claims. Our sunroom reached 115 degrees on a 90 degree day once. It also doesn’t matter if we leave the windows open or closed. Customer service told us we could have the project removed and refunded, yet that was a lie. After being told we don’t need a cooling unit, we now need a ptac cooling unit. They did install a ceiling fan for us, but it just pushed hot air around. Their new solution is one we adamantly do not want and never did, an ugly, space consuming, loud, unwarranted (because they won’t give us the warranty,) ptac that will cost me money to cool a room from 115 to 75-80.
Oh! And because it’d be installed later in the process, they’d have to alter my windows to be uninformed, which this construction team did not recommend. I asked if they could check to make sure we received the correct windows or have the glass replaced because of the huge discrepancy and they told us no. Furthermore, after hearing our issues, the construction manager told me to imagine a car sitting in the sun for the 3 seasons room. That the greenhouse effect would also happen in our sunroom, regardless of the windows, even though their sales rep and online advertising states very differently. Champion blamed their new and inexperienced sales rep, though we blame Champion for not adequately training their sales reps and not telling us when our protect was measured that we would need a ptac to achieve our results. Now they’re only option for our problems is this ptac we never asked for.
We’d like our money back, considering our 3 seasons room can now only be used for 2 seasons and we were sold on false advertisement. Champion is still forcing an unwanted solution on us, even after we stated ptacs last 8-10 years at best, so we will eventually be paying for that unit. We’ve effectively paid a ton of money for a hot car to be installed in our backyard. I recommended them once after we bought and that customer also shared they were lied to for their project but things worked out. We’re going on week 7 searching for adequate solutions and this company is not flexible or willing to actually listen.

The work was actually completed in 2000. Last week the 13x14 floor collapsed near the outside slider door and included the entire width of the room and approximately 4' back. When I cut an access hole to see what caused the issued I was shocked to observe that there were only two (2) floor joists approximately 4' apart and that two 5/8" particle boards, not plywood, were placed under the floor plate and then on the joist. However, the last length of particle boards did not even reach the joist and was screwed down under the ceramic tile backer board.
When I contacted the Customer complaint department I was informed the the warranty is only good for 15 years, which is correct, but that is if the room was built according to specs, which it clearly is not. Furthermore, it is a result of negligent and faulty workmanship. Further attempts to reach anyone just resulted in the usual merry go round. I had two contractors come out for their advice and both just shook their head. It is my hope to actually get this resolved but I have serious doubts. I do have all of the associated contract and inspection work.

They did four windows two months ago and they did a very good job with the installation. Functionally, the windows are perfect. Because of the thermopane glass, the temperature difference in those rooms is day and night compared with the rest of the house. The windows don't leak air around them when the wind blows hard. Plus, they're made out of vinyl so they're never gonna have to be painted. I got the grid option so the panes of the windows look like a colonial house and I love it. I highly recommend Champion.

We recently purchased a complete window replacement package from Champion for over 50,000.00. Only one was defective. Champion refused to replace the bad one. This was a quality control issue by their factory. The glass on the right side was wavy and distorted our view from this window which was in a high traffic area in our home. This obviously defective window was confirmed by three Champion employees. All attempts to reason with them and get this replaced were futile. Phone calls, texts and emails were ignored. We talked to our Salesperson, the Installation manager, the District manager from Ohio, the Sales manager and several other Champion employees about this problem.
They offered to replace this window with a "piece of glass available locally" which was unacceptable to us. We purchased new Champion Comfort 365 windows and expected it to be replaced with the same thing. We did not purchase a repaired window of inferior unknown quality. My advice to fellow consumers is to not do business with Champion windows at all. Do not take the chance that you get one that is defective. They obviously do not stand behind their product and will not replace a window with a quality control issue. Now we're stuck with wavy glass and are reminded of it every time we look out of this window. Very dissatisfied with this company and how they do business! They are unethical and unprofessional. Don't know how they stay in business treating their customers like this. Buyer beware!

They also had a better warranty. Before they did the installation, the techs did the measurements. It was about three weeks before they were able to get the door to install it. The tech took half an hour to remove the old door and he had the new door up within an hour and a half after that. It's of much better quality and has a better solid feel than the vinyl door I had. The fit is perfect. It also has blinds within the door, which is a really nice feature that I like.

To start, I want to say everyone I've interacted with from Champion (minus the door installers) have been professional and kind. I called Champion to have storm doors removed. Champion had previously installed a sunroom window and they had done a great job. I met with a Champion rep on August 2nd, 2022. We signed a deal for two more windows in the sunroom and two storm doors. The windows were installed without issue quickly (before end of 2022). Storm doors were not installed until 3/11/2023. During installation the upstairs storm door was installed with a large gap between the door frame and door. The outside handle was installed upside down. The handle was never fixed, but the installers did fix the gap issues.
The downstairs side door was installed without major gaps or issues HOWEVER the travel clips to keep the door screen and glass in place were never removed and the pieces to keep the screen or glass in place by itself was never given to us. We contacted Champion for a service call since the door is slamming and unable to close properly. 3/27/2023 - the installer comes out, lets us know about the missing storm door clips for screen and glass. He does not have the part on hand, and put an order in. He also helped get the door balanced as best as he could to reduce door slamming. 5/26/2023 - Scheduled date for part install. Appointment is cancelled since they don't have the part. No follow up on when part will be in. 7/11/2023 - Still no update or ETA on when the door will be finished, 116 days since install. Not working with Champion again based on their communication and lack of follow through.
We apologize for these delays, Elliott. We are looking into this and will be in touch with an update as soon as we can. If you would like to contact us in the meantime, please call (440) 249-6768. Thank you.

I liked the fact that Champion measured the window to fit into my space. I didn't have to do anything structurally to make a change. I really liked the customer service guy. He wasn't pushy or obnoxious. He answered my questions. He did a nice job. I did four double hung windows, one big picture window, and one awning window. The picture window and the awning window were the window rep’s suggestions because I was looking for options and wasn't happy with what I had. So he had good ideas. The installers came and measured, and did it perfect. They also called to double check something they weren't sure was accurate and then they set up the schedule. They set it up so that it was convenient for me. They were in and out in less than a day. It's been great. I was happy with what we did, and it was a good choice.

We had all of the windows done in the house by Champion. They were all sliding windows. The rep that came out was very professional. He wasn't pushy, which was really nice. They told me it would take 8 to 12 weeks, but they ended up coming in a month ahead of time. They cut out the windows on the first day and put the new ones in, did everything on the inside of the house, so that way I could have the dogs loose the second day. On the second day, they did the backyard first, so that way, I could get the dogs out back so they could work out front. So far, we love the quality of the windows. Within the first couple of days, we noticed that the house stayed a lot cooler. That was a big deal. Even now, with the air conditioning running, the house stays cooler. We don't have to run it near as often.

When we called Champion, they were very straightforward on the pricing, the way the work would be done, the quality and the warranty. The sales rep presented the different options that we had and compared to what competition was offering. After that, we talked about the pricing and financing. He said it would take five to six weeks then someone would contact us and they'd get it before then. The windows were completed prior. They had someone call and schedule the crew to come out and install them. It took them a little bit longer because it rained and they couldn't do it all day long. They had to stop and it took them one more day, which was no big deal.
After it was done and everything was taken care of, somebody called and asked if we were satisfied, were there any problems, and did we need anybody to come out. Everything was good. We love the windows. They're great. Our air conditioner does not run as consistently as it did with the other windows because there was a lot of air and heat moving through in and out of those windows that we had. We also keep our house fairly cold so you could see condensation building up on the older windows. There's none on the newer ones. If we had to do something else, like gutters or siding, we would contact Champion again.

I ordered a storm door and sliding glass door in September of 2022 from the Denver office and it took until March 13, 2023 to get them installed. I have used Champion in the past to replace all my windows so I never thought I would run into this awful experience and never thought to look at their current reviews. I had to sign 3 orders because the salesperson couldn't get them right. That should've been when I walked away. Then as the months went on, I would get random calls, texts, and emails asking when they could install the doors.
Come to find out the doors didn't exist, they couldn't find them after I had to do lots of digging when I schedule appointments and now one showed wasting my time. I was so frustrated and fed up, I told them to cancel the order. Suddenly, they had the doors and I was going to be charged a cancellation fee for their negligence. I went ahead and allowed the install on March 13, 2023. I truly don't have any faith that their warranty will stand for the reason below.
I need my bedroom window replaced as the seal is broken and it's under warranty. That order was put in September 2022 and it's now May 17, 2023. I don't know where the new window is with several calls to track it down. I was also called a handful of times to install this window, then come to find out they can't find it either. The rep was very knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. It was a very pleasant experience when she came to my home. The guys showed up early for the installation and were in and out in no time. They were very steady, consistent and didn't play around. They came in at 8 o'clock that morning and were finished at 1 o'clock.
The first thing that everybody that comes to the house notice is that we got new windows. You don't even have to say anything and I didn't realize how much it makes the house look brighter. I'm thrilled that I got the windows because I procrastinated for about a year on doing that. I didn't do all the windows but I'm gonna come back and do the front of the house and finish it. I had a couple other windows installers come out but Champion stood out. The reps didn't try to pressure me and just gave me the facts and showed me the window display or the type of window they were going to put in my house. So, the whole experience was pleasant. I'm glad I went with Champion. I am concerned about the cost but what got me was the 18-month no finance charge. So, I like that part about it.

I'm sure he knew that I wanted a double-hung window to match the rest of my Champion Windows. As far as the door between the house and the garage, he knew I needed a specific kind. He was honest that it was gonna take a while because they've been somewhat backed up as a lot of companies are since COVID.
During installation, the techs did a really good job. They didn't speak English but they could understand it. It was difficult to communicate about the delay and the rain but we made our way through. Once I had a problem with a door that has blinds in it. Other than that, whenever I've had trouble, they've gotten it fixed. They stand behind their product. Even the guys that put in the doors noticed that a couple of my windows didn't have caulking at the bottom and said, “Hey, you want me to recaulk that?” It was cool of him to notice.

Buyer beware! Purchased 5 windows in July 22 (10k) via a Champion Sales Rep after inquiring about windows online. Windows were installed 10/22 using materials of an incorrect color (drastically different than what I told at the time of sale, see tan in pic). Reached out to Champion in the following weeks multiple times to resolve the issues. Never have I once received any response back from a Champion representative since my initial attempts started in early 11/22.
I have contacted Champion no less than 10 times since install. I've even gone as far as booking a sales appt online to get someone from Champion to my house to review. I've since discovered that the initial Sales Rep that was sent to my house was brand new and did not know the product or processes well (and is no longer with the company). I also discovered that the Sales Rep even forged my initials on the contract afterwards, which also led to the incorrect color windows being installed.
Champion Sales and Management has done absolutely nothing to resolve the issue or to even contact me back. I've visited their offices in Bedford multiple times now only to be told that Greg, some mystery person in management, will contact me back. Twice now, he has chosen not contacted me back at the request of his own Office Manager and Sales Rep. Avoid this company at all costs. The Champion Windows & Home Exteriors sales representative was very knowledgeable about the product and I found him very personable. He had integrity with the product that he represented. He had some sample products to demonstrate and he demonstrated the fact that it would prevent heat from coming through. He had a heat source on one side and we could put our hand on the other side of the glass and it wasn't hot. It was an effective presentation.
One of the people from Champion came out to measure. Nice guy, very considerate of coming into the house and saying what needed to be done, and going outside and measuring. He and another installer were over and they were very thoughtful about the property while they were working on it and they tidied up afterward. One of the windows had an imperfection in the glass and they identified it at the time. They took a picture of it and said that they would reorder that one to replace it. I was told it would be six to eight weeks. That's life.

My little granddaughter was cool with them like I interacted with them. She wanted to give them coffee.
We paid for the project with them in installments. We paid all in check, but when it was all said and done, we never got a final receipt saying, "Paid in full." also, when we spoke to the sales rep and we agreed on what type, he had to put extra mold work in, extra trimming for the big picture window. He asked if we'd like them to drop off the extra molding that we would need additional so I could pre-stain it so when the installers come, they'll just put it up. Champion Windows did an awesome job. I like their unconditional lifetime warranty. I had all the windows in my house replaced except for my garage windows and two of my kitchen windows. It's 14 windows total. The installation was great. I had one window in the house that was the right measurements. It was supposed to be a three-pane instead of a two-pane, but they only had a two-pane window with them. But after talking to my representative, Christian, he called the installation supervisor. They decided they didn't want to leave my house looking off-kilter with an old window in there. They went ahead and put it in and they're manufacturing a brand new three-pane window. They will come out there and replace it at no charge. They were very professional in the way they handled everything. I would have liked to spend a lot less money on it, but you get what you pay for.
Christian was a super dude. He had to be extremely patient with me because at one point in the whole process, I got rude with him. He was able to pull it back in and still managed to make the sale. If it wouldn't have been for Christian, I probably wouldn't have ever bought the windows. But he's awesome at what he does. After he made the sale, he could have just dropped it at that. He did what he what he was paid to do, but he still continues to check on me and make sure everything's good.
The new windows seem to be fabulous. The main reason we were doing this was because of the draft value that we had in the house. Even though it seemed like the house was supposed to be at this temperature, it always seemed kind of drafty. That's gone completely away. I also had to turn the air conditioner down about two days later to make sure it still works ‘cause I never even heard the air conditioner come on. The windows do what they said they're gonna do.

DO NOT USE Champion Windows!!! Our experience continues to be a complete nightmare that Champion does NOT want to finish!!! Our windows were improperly installed, they are NOT plumb, square, or level. Outside air blows in around the frames!!! And they left our home damaged from their improper demolition!!! Window trim/casing are cracked, broken and beat up. Window casings pulled from the walls. The surrounding sheetrock has nail pops from the rough handling/demo. The demo/installers beat the old windows out with crowbars and hammers. My husband called Champion for five days while their best installation team was at our house. We were told someone would come out and check the work. Nobody came out.
Three months later, the local manager finally returned our calls and came out to view the damage. He was appalled at the terrible craftsmanship and related demo damage. He promised financial compensation, repairs to all damage, and proper installation of our new windows. We had just purchased the house a few weeks prior to hiring Champion Windows and everything was in excellent shape. We have called up the corporate chain and got no responses. Now there is new management that promises to repair all damage, install windows properly (with insulation this time) but they will NOT offer any financial compensation.
At $37,500 total cost and a week of not being able to leave the house or work from home because the pounding was SO loud as they stood on windowsills beating out windows…one would think taking some appropriate amount off the price and signing a new agreement to repair the mistakes and indemnify us would not be a far stretch. Additionally, arrangements for on-site supervision of incompetent artisans and time off work will be necessary due to our mistrust in this unprofessional company. If this review saves one person the grief we have experienced, it will be worth the time spent writing it.
We do apologize for this experience, Angela. We're working with your local office regarding these issues and are allowing them to follow up with you directly to find a resolution.

The lady who came out took a picture of the house and put it in the computer and showed me what it would look like with the colors that I had chosen. She explained everything to me and that it'd be several months before they installed it, which it was. Champion did a good job installing the vinyl siding. The only problem is the vent that they put in keeps falling out. I talked to the installer and he said it's a defective vent and said he ordered another one. He told me it would probably take about two weeks for it to come in. But it's been over two weeks now. So, I'll probably call him the first of next week just to see where we are.
Everything is good so far. The installers called and let me know when they were coming and any questions I had, they answered them and did whatever I told them to be careful with. There's a tree they had to trim a little bit to get the siding. So, they cut it where I told them to. So, I can't complain about anything. I'm happy with everything, so far, if they'll just get that vent back over there and put that in, I’d say it's a fine job.
Thanks for this review, Michael. We're glad everything else has gone well and will pass along your comment about the vent you're in need of. Thank you.

Due to Mr. **'s lack of attention, we now will be getting windows that we don't want, and Champion is saying this is our fault and must pay. It's now been 19 days since I first reached out to our sales guy with no response. I wouldn't work with Champion again, even if there was a gun to my head. They will make a sale and walk away - customer be damned! DO NOT BUY FROM CHAMPION WINDOWS!
We apologize for your frustration here, Cory. From the screen shots you provided, it looks like the explanation for the window count is that a 3-panel slider is 1 window even though it takes the place of 2 of your existing windows. But, we'd be happy to discuss any and all concerns with you. Please call us in customer care at your convenience - 888-395-0041. Thank you.

The lady from across the street was happy with what I got, so she got ahold of them and got windows too. I didn't know anything about it, but she said Champion was supposed to be sending me a check for the referral.
That's great, Patsy. Thanks for this review! The previous windows we had had a good reputation. But I had to replace each of them at least once. One of them, I had to replace twice. That was in a 20-year period. Colorado weather is noted for its extremes. I had a unit of four windows installed by Champion and their rep was a young guy that was just delightful. I have two awning windows and two picture windows in my dining room facing east.
It was unfortunate that the first installer that was supposed to come out never showed up for work. He just decided this wasn't the day to work. I called and the person who answered the phone made the arrangements. I had the windows installed before the end of the week. I had a very fine experience with the person that did the installation. When the inspector came out, he said, "Champion. Champion is a good company." I have recommended them.

Our windows from Champion are doing great. They're still working and keeping the heat inside the room. In the rooms where I repaired the windows, the temperature is good. So, the heat is well-distributed in the house, and I've noticed a change in my electrical bills. It was like $10 less compared to other times. The windows themselves look good. The technician did a good job. He was professional and fast. When I signed up with Champion to repair my windows, they told me it was gonna take a while, but it was done in a short amount of time. It was less than what I was expecting. So, I was very happy with it. I was worried we're gonna get in the cold times when we have an open window, but it was fixed before that. So, I was really grateful for that.

I bought three windows from Champion. I had a large picture window, and I changed it from one large window to two windows. I added another window in the living room, and then a bathroom window. They measured two times. When the tech team got out here, the windows didn't fit. I said, “I'm paying too much for windows for them not to fit the size.” He was very gracious. He said, "Sometimes they don't look at whatever the molding is and take that into consideration." He called and after he called, they said, “No problem. We will reorder the windows.” He said, “We will leave these here. Unfortunately, I'm not gonna cover up the front, or make it look pretty. But we'll be back as soon as possible.” I was very impressed with that.
I really like the windows in the living room. They are great as far as the look from them. The other thing is, because I live in Indiana, I've been checking to find out if it's cold inside of the window. Because that was one of the major factors that I really wanted. Because it had been cold in those windows. I have found that those windows have really held up. It does not feel cold on the window at all.
My only complaint is that I don't see or hear about Champion being earth-friendly. As they were cleaning up the site, he asked me about my windows to take. I said, “What do you all do with them? Do you recycle them?” He said, “We just throw them away.” I really want to do business with companies that are also trying to save the world. I don't feel like I can do business with them if they don’t do anything to help save the world. But the experience was great. Because I was really shocked that they will reorder the windows and remake the windows. But the ecological part of it is more of a sticking point for me.
Thanks very much for taking the time to leave us this review, Pam. We're glad we were able to correct the initial problem and meet your expectations for customer service. As far as being earth-friendly, our own windows are all Energy-Star certified and meet the highest standards for energy efficiency. Windows can be difficult to recycle for a variety of reasons - lead paint in older window frames, low-e glass coatings and tints in newer ones along with different melting temperatures from other recyclable glass, etc. But, we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and be more earth-friendly and we appreciate you sharing this as an important part of your purchase decisions.

Champion's estimate was significantly less, and when broke down the differences in the windows, I couldn't justify the higher cost of the other two companies. Champion's rep did a great job. He caught something at our house that the previous two companies didn't so that was an instant credibility with him. The windows weren’t supposed to be in until December 15th, but they came in two months ahead of time.
The installation ended up being two days. The guys came out of Omaha. It's a two-hour drive for them to get here so that was part of the delay. But they came in, laid blankets down and were very cognizant of keeping the place clean and taking care of our personal stuff. They were super quiet. I didn't even notice. They'd mentioned that they'd installed for one of the competitors that we were looking at, and they said the competitor doesn't value that process as much as Champion does. Everything looks and functions great. The only issue is we got a back sliding door installed as well, and the screen sometimes wants to bind up every once in a while.

I live in Colorado and the sun is quite strong; I have a South facing house. I bought a stainless-steel door to replace my 30-year wooden door which also took its beating from the sun. The door I purchased has stain glass with an exterior and interior trim around it. The door was installed and looked great, but I had a bad feeling when I saw the outside trim was made of a plastic-type molding. I wondered if it would hold up from the sun's heat. The same molding was used for the interior trim (which does hold up indoors). In a matter of a short time (probably one month and before I even purchased a storm door), the trim began to warp and became unglued.
I reported this to Champion customer service with photos and told them I did not think this material was suitable for my region's climate. Their response was to send me the same door with the same trim, simply replacing the entire door. I told customer service and installers that the problem might occur again. Customer Service told me that it might be defective molding and to put a screen on my storm door to vent it. Sure enough, after three weeks, the molding began to warp again, and I had to send off a new set of photos.
I shouldn't have to vent my storm door. Just wanted to tell consumers to be cautious about buying any doors from Champion until they get this matter resolved in their product. They could use another material for the exterior trim such as metal. Don't know if they are just cutting corners to save money but this doesn't work. I am still working with them; they are slow in responding as lots of companies are these days with staff shortages and COVID. The door does have a lifetime warranty so I will see how this gets resolved.
Thanks for sharing your concerns here, Amy. We apologize for the repeated issues with your door's trim. Our factory is working with our Ft. Collins office on this and will get the issue resolved as soon as possible.

We still have not received the window replacements as of October of 2022 and they are not answering our calls or giving us any guarantee or date of when and if we will be receiving the windows we have paid for. They do not answer calls. We are literally waiting on 2 full windows without grids and 5 sashes without grids. My husband physically went in to their offices twice, to try to meet with management and get the situation rectified, only to be ignored and blown off. All we want are the windows we ordered. Trust me -this is a very simple order we placed and if they cannot fulfill our order in a timely fashion, or at all for that matter, I would highly caution anyone from ordering anything from them.
Our contract was filled out incorrectly by our sales rep and he will not return calls and is not available. We corrected the error our sales rep made but it still has not resulted in us receiving the windows we ordered. I was on hold with them while typing this and in fine fashion, call was disconnected. Do not trust with your windows or doors. We have all Champion windows in the house already (put in by previous home owner many years ago) and that is why we ordered replacement windows with them, but was not worth it. As of now, we are out $3200 and still do not have windows.

I'm on a monthly payment and I paid $58 one month and $70 another month and this last month was $118. They told me that the final process would be made by the first of the year. I don't understand why it goes that way. I would think I would have got a price and a monthly payment and that would have been it. It just seems like a fine game. The windows are nice. It was a few years ago when I got the first Champion Windows. I had a little wall put in, and it was starting to leak. So, I went to the state fair, and I compared the products against a few other companies, and I liked the way Champion had it set up. The initial installation went great. The installation day went smoothly and that morning, the installers were supposed to come out at a certain time. So, I thought I’d give myself plenty of time to get the old wall torn out. I almost got it all torn out. I didn't have the top piece and the lower piece taken out yet. They came in and said, “Oh, don't worry about that. We'll get that for you.” They finished taking the upper piece and the lower piece out. The quality of work they did was good. I liked what they did.
I had a window that was kinda leaky. I called them out and the first person came out, took a couple of screws out, and then he left. So, I called and said, “Does that guy come back out?” They said, “I don't know who that was.” So, they sent another person out, and he didn't know who that person was that just came out to take a couple of screws out. Another person came out and measured some stuff, and I never heard anything back. So, there were several different people that came out before I actually got somebody to actually do something. They finally pulled the windows out a little bit, and they put some more caulk inside where the window slides back into the structure.

My experience from Champion has been a nightmare. They took over 5 months to finally install windows that were supposed to be done in 4-6 weeks and about another year for them to attempt to make them right with me. Once installed, there were multiple problem with them. The worst thing was that all the windows were sagging in the upper corners on both sides. They sent three different people at three different times out to "fix" the issues. Each time they either didn't fix anything or fixed one thing and blew off the rest.
After about a year and a half after the original order, they have finally fixed most of the issues but still refuse to address the sagging windows. Their reasoning is that "that's the way they windows were made." One of the reasons we decided to buy these windows in the first place, was the statement from their salesman and I quote. "We own the factory so we can control the quality of the products we sell." So, then logic would dictate, that either that statement is a lie or they just don't care about the quality as long as they get their money. It has now been over a year and a half from the original order and just today a rude woman from "corporate" told me that they would not be correcting any more issues with my windows, that that's how they were made and that's just how they are.
The second half of the approx $12,000 order is due and if we didn't pay it now we would be sent to collections and or sued for the balance and our warranty would be void. Oh yes, they did offer compensation for all the trouble we've had. They are giving us $250 off of as I said about $12,000... So, if you're in the market for windows, do yourself a favor and don't even consider Champion windows. I know I won't next year when I replace the rest of the windows in my house.

Champion had to come back twice because someone didn't measure our window right and they ordered the wrong size. The two installs were about a month apart, but there was no problem with the installs and the windows are great. I was looking for not ridiculously expensive but really good windows, and Champion sent somebody out. The windows were obviously of good quality. There was some glass here and there during the install, but it's okay. They changed about 22 windows. You can’t really do that without making too big of a mess. They did most of it in one day. They incorrectly measured a window though, so, it didn't fit and they had to reorder it.
We're very happy with the windows. The house is way better. We purchased the house with old 1970s windows and knew that was going to be an expenditure. We went through the first winter in the house with the old windows. There's an amazing difference we could see out of the new windows. The house is decently insulated, and you could feel cold air coming in the windows before. Tim ** said everything looked good. The order was placed and we started making payments, it was a lot of money so we financed through them.
The installer came out and measured, thinking we were ordering two sets of doors, I stated we weren’t. He said he would have someone call me if the order was wrong. We were supposed to have the doors installed in two months. Two months later we get a call from Tim saying they never ordered the doors because the form was filled out wrong, they had to come and sit with us to place a new order and it would be over three months before we could get the door. We already financed and we’re paying for doors they never ordered and this is the first we hear from them? The doors were supposed to be installed. It was horrible customer service. We went to the store to look at the glass enclosures and we first dealt with the salespeople and installers of Champion there. We liked the interaction and they followed up. Then, the quote was reasonable. It was not cheap but you're talking about lifetime warranty, so you get what you pay for with Champion. The installation was smooth, easy, and took a day. But on the sunroom, it took them a few weeks. The thing is, once they got the pads poured out there and got the sidewalk done, everything else just went up. So they were very efficient and you wouldn't know they were here. With a lot of installation companies, you have drywall here, you have mortar here, and you have this and that. But we never had that with Champion. They would always clean up and would always take care of their things.
Even if I would just call the service people on the phone to talk to them, they were very professional. They were different than most companies these days. I also love it everything we got from them and I couldn't be happier with the sunroom. It's been up for quite a while now and we've never had an issue with it. We had someone try to break in the backdoor and the lock prevented it. It ended up breaking the lock and they were going to charge us to come out and replace it, but since I made a police report on it, they went ahead and waived that. So that was pretty cool, too.

So, I moved meetings around so I could be home to get things started and understand their plan of attack. To no surprise, the team was a no show! Called the local Champion office at 1030 and they told me the team was not coming today and that I would get a call tomorrow.
I’m a super patient person to a flaw actually. I am paying a lot of money (to me) and have waited 10.5 months (and counting) for my room. Am I being too patient with Champion??? I know if I was at the Executive level with Champion, I would be embarrassed for the company and upset we treat customers like poo. That’s if I was an Executive for a National brand. I did make contact via Linked with someone at the HQ, minimal help. Sure would like to get a note to the CEO Todd Dickson. He would probably like to know the trials and tribulations of one of his insignificant customers.
The issues have had nothing to do with supply chain or Covid. These issues are directly related to incompetence (lost my packet), poor quality work (having to redo room), no coordination (concrete guy shows up a week after the room was built), missed workdays/appointments (not showing up to work on room or start new room) and poor communication from Champion (numerous calls not returned or not communicating when they are coming to the house). This sits squarely on the shoulders of Champion. Still do not have a sunroom. Wish I could turn the clock back 11 months and use the other contractor.

The Champion Windows salesman misled me and told me I needed to replace 14 windows that could not be repaired. I found out from a reputable contractor that only 1 window needs to be replaced. The other 13 can be repaired. At this point, Champion Windows has refused to refund the funds that the company received from a finance company the Salesman told me I had to use. I did not authorize Champion Windows to obtain any funds the date the contract was signed from the finance company.
Champion Windows representatives told me today that they will not refund the funds to me that they have received from the finance company and that I need to pay a penalty of $1,000 to Champion for cancelling the contract. Then, I was told by Champion Windows representatives that they were going to refer my request to cancel and for a full refund to Champion Windows' legal department. I do not recommend that anyone use Champion Windows company.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us here, Rhetta. Champion sells replacement windows only. We do not offer repairs on existing windows that were not made by Champion. Our experience with Champion sunrooms. We hired their services to add on a sunroom in march 2021 to be completed by july 4, 2021. From july to october 29 we had very poor communication. On october 29, 2021 we drove to their showroom to discover there had not been any supplies ordered and no follow up on the kc permit. We made phone calls all the way up to the ceo's office with no return calls. In december 2021 we contacted the mo attorney general office and they contacted champion at the top and their call was returned.
Six weeks later we have our sunroom. It is 06/13/2022 and we have 6, yes 6 leaking windows out of 8. Now this is poor quality control from the factory. Thank goodness we still owe them final payment which they won't see until all is fixed. Plus they will be replacing some carpet and pad which will be deducted from the final payment. Please, please, read the reviews and take note of the bad ones. All sunrooms are being put together at the factory then installed like a puzzle with a lot of calk. Buyer beware.

I can certainly see and understand why he's the leader of the field. I am a disabled veteran, and I had a problem that needed to be corrected with one of my Champion orders. Mr. Will came out himself and solved the problem with expertise and precise calibration, getting the job done. The rep was easy to talk to. He was very interested in our projects, our house and what we were looking to do. He gave us good advice that was not just focused on selling us windows. He offered us other advice about other projects that we were looking at, and his thoughts on them based on his experiences. So, it was nice that he wasn't just there to be a salesman of Champion Windows. He presented an all-around, “I'm here to help you. And if this is the right option for you, then we'll figure it out. And if it's not the right option for you, you'll know after this visit that it's not.”
The install was awesome. Those guys were great. It was a group of about four or five people. And they communicated when they were coming up. They came up. They were very professional and polite. I could see them being very conscious of our space. They had a lady that followed them around with a Shop-Vac, making sure that if anything got dirty, it didn't stay dirty for very long. They were fast.
And I asked them, “Can you save our windows?” Because we didn't want broken windows. Which I read reviews that sometimes there are broken windows. But we also wanted to be able to reuse the windows. I was concerned that it might not be very easy for them to save the windows. And they said, “Sure, that's no problem at all. Here's the situation with your windows. Here's what we need to do to save them. We can't save these pieces because they have to come out.” They very clearly explained everything to me of what they could do and why. They did seven windows in four hours and left, and everything was clean and done. I went around and looked at all the outside stuff. And it was all very well done.
The only problem that we're having right now, and part of why I haven't done the email surveys, is because I don't know how to rate that. The salesman was great. The installers were great. But we had one of our windows, two days after it was installed, we went down there and it was broken. Our only guess and other people who looked at it, is that maybe the gas pressure inside, because of our altitude, there might have been a little defect of some kind and it caused it to explode. Because that's what happened. One panel is still intact, but the inner panel exploded in. It wasn't that dramatic, but the glass was pushed in. I am holding off to see how they dealt with that.
Also, the wrong handles were ordered for one of the bay windows. So, we can't open the bay windows yet. We still have stickers on those windows because we can't get to them without opening the window. I called the call center to follow up, because I emailed the information. The customer service lady that I talked to via email was very helpful. And she said, “If we can figure out what window this is for sure, then we don't have to take the time to send a tech out there to measure and make sure what we need to replace. I can just put the order in.” So, I gave her the measurements. She said, “No problem, I found the window. It's the only one of that size, and I'll put in the order.”
I tried to follow up a couple of weeks later. I called and I was sent to a different call center. But they didn't know the situation. So, they had to do a little research and they got back with me, which was fine, and said, “We're sending a request to the Denver center for them to update you on what's going on with the handles and the windows.” But I never heard back from Denver on that. Other than that, I'm happy at this point.

Reviewed April 28, 2022
All my windows are Champion windows. I bought just a few at a time because they're cost-prohibitive, but I wouldn't have anything else. They keep out the heat in the summer and insulate the house in the wintertime, too. Recently, I purchased an 83 x 62, a 39 x 53, and another 36 x 40. The person I dealt with was the manager and he was pretty aggressive. Because I was a returning customer, he offered me the percentages off that they usually do.
When they first brought the windows, all the windows were incorrect and I stopped the installers halfway through the job. One of the windows is just a standard 39 inches wide x 53 inches high, but it was three inches short on the overall length from bottom to top. The front window I ordered was a three-panel slider at 33% each. What they brought me was a 20-20-40, so the center window was way wider than the two outside windows. I didn't want that window. Each of the windows should be the same size in the front, and I ordered that for a reason. It took them six weeks to get that window back. Now, the windows that I currently have in is not properly fit. It's three eighths of an inch short on the width, and I'm dissatisfied.
They said, “Okay, we're gonna say the job is finished and we're going to put this on a service call.” What they didn't tell me is how far their service is backed up. I was led to believe that it'd only be three to six weeks. It's now been almost eight. With winter being over though, I'm not too concerned about the tight fit on the window. I'd be more concerned if it was still dead of winter and I had a three eighths gap in the window and it was leaking like crazy. I'm losing a lot of money on that, and I'm cold.
Another thing that really tweaked me is I've never received an email from them before, or a text message. I received a text message basically asking me not to contact the office anymore for the service, that I needed to contact the company through this text message now. I want to talk to a real person, and I want to talk to the people that I contracted with. I don't want to talk to somebody I don't know. This is the first time I've had this kind of experience with Champion.
In the past, it's always been straightforward. Now, the installers have been out three times. They had three people measure the windows and got them wrong, and this is not Champion. These are subcontractors. That's not how I dealt with Champion Windows in the past, so I was a little disappointed with that. However, I didn't have any problem with them other than they were subcontractors. Their install was really good and the windows look good put in. It's just that they didn't get the right windows from the factory, and that's not on the installer. As a subcontractor, they can only put in what they get. Unless they looked at my contract and said, “You're supposed to get this, this, and this one,” but they don't look at that. All they're going by is the barcode sticker that Champion has put on the side of the window that indicates what belongs to me and what my account number is.
The issues I have with Champion Windows aren't necessarily with them. For instance, their financing is at a 6.99% rate. They hook you up with GreenSky Financing, which I have no idea what kind of company that is. The minimum payment is $30, and out of that $30, 10 goes to finance charges. How is that 6.99%? To me, that's 30%. There’s something wrong with their financing right out of the gate. I don't like the fact that they're opening me a line of credit with a company and that they're not explaining how the financing exactly is. That is not what I call a simple interest note. A simple interest note, I would borrow 3,500 and I would pay this amount of interest and that would be it. This has not been my experience in the past with Champion as well. The same thing with the installers. I don't know whether it's just the times and they're having problems hiring people to be installers for Champion.
All I'm interested in is the quality of the window, which I'm already familiar with. There's not much they can do with that. My biggest thing with them right now would be that they got some issues with fitting. One of the things that Champion says is, “We customize your windows,” but what they don't tell you is that they have a maximum height of 63 inches. Anything above that, they've got to board up. No one said anything to me about that and this was the first time I've ever bought a window of this size from them, so I was a little taken aback by that.
Still, I want to be fair with the company. Every time I had an issue, I got a response right away. As a matter of fact, the install manager from Champion, Warren, came to my house and looked at what I had for problems and agreed with me. He's the one that decided to put a stop to the job and put me on a service call, which I still haven't heard back.

We made the unfortunate decision to make a purchase of two windows from Champion at the end of May/beginning of June 2021. When the salesperson showed up, after discussing the need to keep cold and dry air out of our basement in the Winter time and hot and humid air out of the basement in the summer time, we settled on purchasing horizontal sliders for our basement as the best option for those purposes. In no way, shape or form were we informed that these would come with an open weeping channel that would run the risk of either intentionally or defectively defeating the purpose of the purchase as was discussed.
While we were informed that the process would take approximately 8 weeks to get our new windows manufactured installed, we were fairly patient with them given the supply chain issues last summer. Rather, Champion finally reached out about 14 weeks later in September to schedule the installation. Unfortunately, the installer informed us that they had previously not measured correctly and the windows that were manufactured were not the correct size.
While the installer said that we would be put at the top of the list for getting the correct windows made, it took another 3 months/end of December, before they were completed installed. The new windows looked fairly decent enough, however after a winter vacation in January, once we were back in February we noticed that the windows were letting in a significant amount of cold air. Both windows were letting in cold air in the joints, and more significantly, the open, uncovered weep hole on the smaller window was letting in a strong, consistent stream of cold air. We had a general contractor working on another project for us take a look, and he stated that in 30 years of installing windows, he had never seen anything like this, stating it was like having a freezing cold air conditioner pumping cold air into our basement in the dead of winter.
The cold air being let in through the defective weep hole was approximately 10 degrees warmer than the temperature registered outside. I have attached photos here showing the temperature being let in through the weep hole, 28 degrees, when it was 20 degrees outside, and another one showing the 40 degree temperature when it was in the low 30s outside. Additionally, we were not provided screens with the original installation and have not received any communication on when these are going to be provided or delivered.
At that time in February, we reached out to the salesperson that sold us the windows, to request that they come out to take a look to fix it or to come out and show us what our options are to get a replacement. He passed along the message from their service desk manager that we should just cover up the hole with a piece of tape or felt to keep the cold air out. After explaining that this was a completely unacceptable and inadequate remedy and again requesting that they send someone out to fix the issue immediately or show us what our options are to get a replacement window, or provide a refund to hire a company that sells functioning windows, no action was taken except for receiving progressively more insulting emails.
We finally escalated the issue to the sales manager, who informed us that he had put us at the top of the list with their service department, and had sent along the urgent issue for them to have someone assigned to come out and fix the issue. That was two months ago, and no one from Champion has yet to come out to fix the defective window or to come out to show us what our replacement options or to explain to us what the refund process is so that we can move forward with getting a functioning window in place.
We’ve reached out to the sales manager multiple times since then, and it is apparent that his intent is to just keep stringing us along at this point. Our previous 30 year old fake Pella windows far surpassed our new Champion windows in keeping the cold and dry air out of the house. There is a reason that Champion has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. I strenuously advise any potential customers to look anywhere else for their window needs.

The concrete was poured wrong, left an overhang that needed to be fixed. They left the transom glass missing for two months without any temporary covering, allowing bugs to move into the area. They finally finished, but realized it had the wrong number of windows. The windows wouldn't close correctly (the two panes would not align correctly when closed, resulting in air/water leak). After I inspected, and pointed out the issue with the wrong number of windows they came in to replace the wall that had wrong number of windows. They broke other parts of the sunroom while replacing the wall.
The new wall has correct number of windows, but has bowed snaps on the bottom that aren't parallel with the windows nor the floor. The new wall had a broken snap that has hastily been "fixed" by smearing caulk on it. I was willing to overlook these because it's been a year and a half and I am mentally exhausted from dealing with this project. While installing the floors I noticed there was an air-leak on the bottom corner of the sunroom. I caulked it myself to close the air leak. Finally I was trying to enjoy the sunroom and I realize now the new windows they installed do not have latches, so they can not be locked! I also notice one of the screens they put in for the new windows is the wrong size, sticks out by about 2 inches.
They were supposed to inspect it to make sure it was done correctly, it's clear they didn't inspect anything. The quality is garbage. The snaps have noticeable gaps where it shrinks/grows. The door/window latches (where they did manage to put them in) don't work well because they're very poorly engineered. Half the time it won't close correctly. So, I've had NOTHING BUT ISSUES and apparently I am still going through the issues.

My sister purchased Champion Windows, and she was quite happy with them. She had two in her house that she had problems with, and they came back right away and took care of the situation. It's hard to find somebody that does that. I had 19 windows, and they should have taken three days, but that's not what they chose to do. They did a two-day job and did a great job on the trim work. The windows are also very good, but some of their installation was not what I would consider the greatest ever. I spent $20,000 and the people that were here worked hard, but they pushed them too hard. When they put caulk on the inside, they took one day to caulk, ran it across but didn't take into account that many times caulk has bubbles in it. When the bubbles break, guess what? The air comes in your house then you have to do that yourself.
On one of my windows on the back where they put the aluminum trim around it, there was a piece of wood from when they tore the old windows out laying on the seal and they did not even brush it off. They just put the metal on top of it. That is a piece of crap. I happen to notice because it's a high window, so the brick seal was eye-level. My house was built in 1933, and it's got a lot of windows. I knew it was gonna be expensive, but I expected a better quality, and I simply did not get that. They want to come back and make some minor repairs, but I don't want them around my property. For the amount of money I spent, I would never. My other sister is getting ready to replace the one that's in her house, and I told her straight out, "Do not use Champion." That was very frustrating.

But when they put in the windows, it comes inside quite a ways. So, it covers up a piece that goes around just before the trim. So, there's no way I could take it out and refinish it if I wanted to. Other than that, well done.

Anybody that came out to our house to do anything with the windows was always very professional. The gentleman that came out, took out all the stuff and showed us how the light shone down, showed us how the windows work when we first got them. He did an awesome job. When I looked out, when the snow was in the window, there was nothing down inside of them. And that’s nice because they won't get down inside there and mildew. I can't wait to get my other windows up.

I had my living room windows put in. My other windows sweated while these don't, and I can just touch them. And they're not that cold. I'm happy with it.

Champion's demonstration of the effectiveness of their windows is what sells their windows. They have a good salesperson. Also, their people that work do the job. They're very careful, clean, and quick. We did three windows and two doors. They did all of that in one day. We love the new windows.

We replaced the bay window and two other windows. The reps worked with us very well or got what we needed and got it where we could afford it. We ran into some problems, but the guy that put the windows in worked right through that. Champion did a great job and I surely would use them again.

I called Champion snd they came out and gave me a bid. Before it was all over, I had them replace every window in my house, including a garden room that had 11 windows and four window doors. I had the same salesman for all of my windows because we did it piecemeal because of cost. But he was very polite and knowledgeable. He was very willing to work with us. He was great. The installers would call and tell me that they had my windows ready. Then they would show up and put them in. I could not believe how fast they did this. They also cleaned up after themselves. I've been really happy with Champion. In fact, I have moved to a townhouse, and now I've replaced all the windows in there and they've done a fantastic job.

We felt Champion's was a super good product with a good warranty, yet not so over the top. My son could afford it. The windows look nice, too. We went to put the first payment down and I tried to get CHamnpion to email a receipt and it didn't come through. Also, my son is waiting for one to be replaced. He came home and one already has a crack in it. The glass is cracked. But getting it replaced was not a hassle either. The lady called him and he talked to the lady. He's all set up for that.
