    Their rep Mark did a great job and sold me some windows. The two installers worked with me on which windows to start with because of the kids. They brought in their little vacuum cleaner and laid down painter's tarps everywhere. Also, they vacuumed as they went and kept everything really clean. I was pleased with that. The windows are great and I love them.

    Champion said all seven windows would take 14 to 16 weeks, but they came in way faster than that. On installation day, the guys came in at 8 o'clock in the morning, and they were finished by 1:00 in the afternoon. I like the quality of their work, and they were good. My little granddaughter was cool with them like I interacted with them. She wanted to give them coffee.

    We paid for the project with them in installments. We paid all in check, but when it was all said and done, we never got a final receipt saying, "Paid in full." also, when we spoke to the sales rep and we agreed on what type, he had to put extra mold work in, extra trimming for the big picture window. He asked if we'd like them to drop off the extra molding that we would need additional so I could pre-stain it so when the installers come, they'll just put it up. I won't have to try to stain it around while it's in the window, but it never got dropped off. Besides those two minor things, I would definitely recommend Champion Windows.

    We had Champion do the windows at our first house and we were very happy with them, so we wanted to work with them again. They installed 15 new standard windows. Timeline-wise, they said three or four months from the date we ordered the windows. This is for everything to be manufactured and be installed. It actually took a little less than that - two months. Customer service was very professional, nice, and pleasant to work with. The installation went well. The installer seemed very prepared, polite, and helpful. The installation itself took three days. We were very happy with the work done.

    I got regular windows from Champion and they're very good quality. I worked with them twice and each time, they gave a different timeframe for the installation. The windows would take two to four weeks to make and to install them took one day. The installers were wonderful, too.

    Champion installed a sunroom about 2 years back. Now the roof leaks, sometimes few gallons of water and window steel mesh is coming apart. They send somebody to repair it. To do the windows he said 2 people are needed, hence so far nothing is done. He came 2 more times to repair roof. Nothing worked and he tells us that is because the roof was not installed correctly in the first place hinting that it was a shoddy job. Now Champion tells me that repairman is no longer with them and wants me to pay for repairs on a thing they have given a 'LIFETIME WARRANTY'. Is this a scam or what?

    Champion Windows did an awesome job. I like their unconditional lifetime warranty. I had all the windows in my house replaced except for my garage windows and two of my kitchen windows. It's 14 windows total. The installation was great. I had one window in the house that was the right measurements. It was supposed to be a three-pane instead of a two-pane, but they only had a two-pane window with them. But after talking to my representative, Christian, he called the installation supervisor. They decided they didn't want to leave my house looking off-kilter with an old window in there. They went ahead and put it in and they're manufacturing a brand new three-pane window. They will come out there and replace it at no charge. They were very professional in the way they handled everything. I would have liked to spend a lot less money on it, but you get what you pay for.

    Christian was a super dude. He had to be extremely patient with me because at one point in the whole process, I got rude with him. He was able to pull it back in and still managed to make the sale. If it wouldn't have been for Christian, I probably wouldn't have ever bought the windows. But he's awesome at what he does. After he made the sale, he could have just dropped it at that. He did what he what he was paid to do, but he still continues to check on me and make sure everything's good.

    The new windows seem to be fabulous. The main reason we were doing this was because of the draft value that we had in the house. Even though it seemed like the house was supposed to be at this temperature, it always seemed kind of drafty. That's gone completely away. I also had to turn the air conditioner down about two days later to make sure it still works ‘cause I never even heard the air conditioner come on. The windows do what they said they're gonna do.

    DO NOT USE Champion Windows!!! Our experience continues to be a complete nightmare that Champion does NOT want to finish!!! Our windows were improperly installed, they are NOT plumb, square, or level. Outside air blows in around the frames!!! And they left our home damaged from their improper demolition!!! Window trim/casing are cracked, broken and beat up. Window casings pulled from the walls. The surrounding sheetrock has nail pops from the rough handling/demo. The demo/installers beat the old windows out with crowbars and hammers. My husband called Champion for five days while their best installation team was at our house. We were told someone would come out and check the work. Nobody came out.

    Three months later, the local manager finally returned our calls and came out to view the damage. He was appalled at the terrible craftsmanship and related demo damage. He promised financial compensation, repairs to all damage, and proper installation of our new windows. We had just purchased the house a few weeks prior to hiring Champion Windows and everything was in excellent shape. We have called up the corporate chain and got no responses. Now there is new management that promises to repair all damage, install windows properly (with insulation this time) but they will NOT offer any financial compensation.

    At $37,500 total cost and a week of not being able to leave the house or work from home because the pounding was SO loud as they stood on windowsills beating out windows…one would think taking some appropriate amount off the price and signing a new agreement to repair the mistakes and indemnify us would not be a far stretch. Additionally, arrangements for on-site supervision of incompetent artisans and time off work will be necessary due to our mistrust in this unprofessional company. If this review saves one person the grief we have experienced, it will be worth the time spent writing it.

    The lady who came out took a picture of the house and put it in the computer and showed me what it would look like with the colors that I had chosen. She explained everything to me and that it'd be several months before they installed it, which it was. Champion did a good job installing the vinyl siding. The only problem is the vent that they put in keeps falling out. I talked to the installer and he said it's a defective vent and said he ordered another one. He told me it would probably take about two weeks for it to come in. But it's been over two weeks now. So, I'll probably call him the first of next week just to see where we are.

    Everything is good so far. The installers called and let me know when they were coming and any questions I had, they answered them and did whatever I told them to be careful with. There's a tree they had to trim a little bit to get the siding. So, they cut it where I told them to. So, I can't complain about anything. I'm happy with everything, so far, if they'll just get that vent back over there and put that in, I’d say it's a fine job.

    Poor service, communication, and lack of oversight on my project. I was verbally told we purchased six (6) windows, but the sales guy, Andrew **, only wrote five (5) on the contract. We were told a price for our windows, and now, we are being told we must pay more even though we verbally agreed upon our project. This is called Bait and Switch. I have tried in vain for 18 days to fix this problem with no response from Mr. **.

    Additionally, I wanted to add grids to my windows BEFORE the project was sent to production, but Mr. ** lazily didn't do this either. Due to Mr. **'s lack of attention, we now will be getting windows that we don't want, and Champion is saying this is our fault and must pay. It's now been 19 days since I first reached out to our sales guy with no response. I wouldn't work with Champion again, even if there was a gun to my head. They will make a sale and walk away - customer be damned! DO NOT BUY FROM CHAMPION WINDOWS!

    The previous windows we had had a good reputation. But I had to replace each of them at least once. One of them, I had to replace twice. That was in a 20-year period. Colorado weather is noted for its extremes. I had a unit of four windows installed by Champion and their rep was a young guy that was just delightful. I have two awning windows and two picture windows in my dining room facing east.

    It was unfortunate that the first installer that was supposed to come out never showed up for work. He just decided this wasn't the day to work. I called and the person who answered the phone made the arrangements. I had the windows installed before the end of the week. I had a very fine experience with the person that did the installation. When the inspector came out, he said, "Champion. Champion is a good company." I have recommended them.

    Our windows from Champion are doing great. They're still working and keeping the heat inside the room. In the rooms where I repaired the windows, the temperature is good. So, the heat is well-distributed in the house, and I've noticed a change in my electrical bills. It was like $10 less compared to other times. The windows themselves look good. The technician did a good job. He was professional and fast. When I signed up with Champion to repair my windows, they told me it was gonna take a while, but it was done in a short amount of time.     I bought three windows from Champion. I had a large picture window, and I changed it from one large window to two windows. I added another window in the living room, and then a bathroom window. They measured two times. When the tech team got out here, the windows didn't fit. I said, “I'm paying too much for windows for them not to fit the size.” He was very gracious. He said, "Sometimes they don't look at whatever the molding is and take that into consideration." He called and after he called, they said, “No problem. We will reorder the windows.” He said, “We will leave these here. Unfortunately, I'm not gonna cover up the front, or make it look pretty. But we'll be back as soon as possible.” I was very impressed with that.

    I really like the windows in the living room. They are great as far as the look from them. The other thing is, because I live in Indiana, I've been checking to find out if it's cold inside of the window. Because that was one of the major factors that I really wanted. Because it had been cold in those windows. I have found that those windows have really held up. It does not feel cold on the window at all.

    My only complaint is that I don't see or hear about Champion being earth-friendly. As they were cleaning up the site, he asked me about my windows to take. I said, “What do you all do with them? Do you recycle them?” He said, “We just throw them away.” I really want to do business with companies that are also trying to save the world. I don't feel like I can do business with them if they don’t do anything to help save the world. But the experience was great. Because I was really shocked that they will reorder the windows and remake the windows. But the ecological part of it is more of a sticking point for me.

As far as being earth-friendly, our own windows are all Energy-Star certified and meet the highest standards for energy efficiency. Windows can be difficult to recycle for a variety of reasons - lead paint in older window frames, low-e glass coatings and tints in newer ones along with different melting temperatures from other recyclable glass, etc. But, we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and be more earth-friendly and we appreciate you sharing this as an important part of your purchase decisions.

    Champion's estimate was significantly less, and when broke down the differences in the windows, I couldn't justify the higher cost of the other two companies. Champion's rep did a great job. He caught something at our house that the previous two companies didn't so that was an instant credibility with him. The windows weren’t supposed to be in until December 15th, but they came in two months ahead of time.

    The installation ended up being two days. The guys came out of Omaha. It's a two-hour drive for them to get here so that was part of the delay. But they came in, laid blankets down and were very cognizant of keeping the place clean and taking care of our personal stuff. They were super quiet. I didn't even notice. They'd mentioned that they'd installed for one of the competitors that we were looking at, and they said the competitor doesn't value that process as much as Champion does. Everything looks and functions great. The only issue is we got a back sliding door installed as well, and the screen sometimes wants to bind up every once in a while.

    I live in Colorado and the sun is quite strong; I have a South facing house. I bought a stainless-steel door to replace my 30-year wooden door which also took its beating from the sun. The door I purchased has stain glass with an exterior and interior trim around it. The door was installed and looked great, but I had a bad feeling when I saw the outside trim was made of a plastic-type molding. I wondered if it would hold up from the sun's heat. The same molding was used for the interior trim (which does hold up indoors). In a matter of a short time (probably one month and before I even purchased a storm door), the trim began to warp and became unglued.

    I reported this to Champion customer service with photos and told them I did not think this material was suitable for my region's climate. Their response was to send me the same door with the same trim, simply replacing the entire door. I told customer service and installers that the problem might occur again. Customer Service told me that it might be defective molding and to put a screen on my storm door to vent it. Sure enough, after three weeks, the molding began to warp again, and I had to send off a new set of photos.

    I shouldn't have to vent my storm door. Just wanted to tell consumers to be cautious about buying any doors from Champion until they get this matter resolved in their product. They could use another material for the exterior trim such as metal. Don't know if they are just cutting corners to save money but this doesn't work. I am still working with them; they are slow in responding as lots of companies are these days with staff shortages and COVID. The door does have a lifetime warranty so I will see how this gets resolved.

    Paid $3200 deposit in April of 2022 for some window replacements for home. We still have not received the window replacements as of October of 2022 and they are not answering our calls or giving us any guarantee or date of when and if we will be receiving the windows we have paid for. They do not answer calls. We are literally waiting on 2 full windows without grids and 5 sashes without grids. My husband physically went in to their offices twice, to try to meet with management and get the situation rectified, only to be ignored and blown off. All we want are the windows we ordered. Trust me -this is a very simple order we placed and if they cannot fulfill our order in a timely fashion, or at all for that matter, I would highly caution anyone from ordering anything from them.

    Our contract was filled out incorrectly by our sales rep and he will not return calls and is not available. We corrected the error our sales rep made but it still has not resulted in us receiving the windows we ordered. I was on hold with them while typing this and in fine fashion, call was disconnected. Do not trust with your windows or doors. We have all Champion windows in the house already (put in by previous home owner many years ago) and that is why we ordered replacement windows with them, but was not worth it. As of now, we are out $3200 and still do not have windows.

    The sales reps from Champion were very good and the installation crew was absolutely fantastic. The guy’s partner called in sick that morning and he worked without stopping for lunch.     Champion did our siding close to a month ago. I've been real impressed with them except I noticed a stain coming down the roof out of the very top gutter. I was hoping it was just a temporary water stain from the rain we had but it never went away.     Champion's sales rep was fair. I really never got any complete answers as to the cost. I've told the last person that was out here that it's not really right and I shouldn't have gone on with it because I did not get a final cost on anything. I'm on a monthly payment and I paid $58 one month and $70 another month and this last month was $118. They told me that the final process would be made by the first of the year. I don't understand why it goes that way. I would think I would have got a price and a monthly payment and that would have been it. It just seems like a fine game. The windows are nice. I just wished they had more colors to choose from because I got a brick house with beige trim. When they set it up, they only have white windows. I didn't ask enough questions, but they didn't tell me much.

    It was a few years ago when I got the first Champion Windows. I had a little wall put in, and it was starting to leak. So, I went to the state fair, and I compared the products against a few other companies, and I liked the way Champion had it set up. The initial installation went great. The installation day went smoothly and that morning, the installers were supposed to come out at a certain time. So, I thought I’d give myself plenty of time to get the old wall torn out. I almost got it all torn out. I didn't have the top piece and the lower piece taken out yet. They came in and said, “Oh, don't worry about that. We'll get that for you.” They finished taking the upper piece and the lower piece out. The quality of work they did was good. I liked what they did.

    I had a window that was kinda leaky. I called them out and the first person came out, took a couple of screws out, and then he left. So, I called and said, “Does that guy come back out?” They said, “I don't know who that was.” So, they sent another person out, and he didn't know who that person was that just came out to take a couple of screws out. Another person came out and measured some stuff, and I never heard anything back. So, there were several different people that came out before I actually got somebody to actually do something. They finally pulled the windows out a little bit, and they put some more caulk inside where the window slides back into the structure.

    My experience from Champion has been a nightmare. They took over 5 months to finally install windows that were supposed to be done in 4-6 weeks and about another year for them to attempt to make them right with me. Once installed, there were multiple problem with them. The worst thing was that all the windows were sagging in the upper corners on both sides. They sent three different people at three different times out to "fix" the issues. Each time they either didn't fix anything or fixed one thing and blew off the rest.

    After about a year and a half after the original order, they have finally fixed most of the issues but still refuse to address the sagging windows. Their reasoning is that "that's the way they windows were made." One of the reasons we decided to buy these windows in the first place, was the statement from their salesman and I quote. "We own the factory so we can control the quality of the products we sell." So, then logic would dictate, that either that statement is a lie or they just don't care about the quality as long as they get their money. It has now been over a year and a half from the original order and just today a rude woman from "corporate" told me that they would not be correcting any more issues with my windows, that that's how they were made and that's just how they are.

    The second half of the approx $12,000 order is due and if we didn't pay it now we would be sent to collections and or sued for the balance and our warranty would be void. Oh yes, they did offer compensation for all the trouble we've had. They are giving us $250 off of as I said about $12,000... So, if you're in the market for windows, do yourself a favor and don't even consider Champion windows. I know I won't next year when I replace the rest of the windows in my house.

    The installers were wonderful. They tried to tell the boss, Scott, that the measure guy had measured incorrectly. He wasn't listening. The installer must have talked to the salesman. The salesman called and I told him it wasn't his problem, it was the boss's problem because the plans were accurate. Then the boss came out. He tried to convince me and said, "We're going to do something different by putting in some sidelights to fill in the discrepancy." I said no so it was another delay. He got mad at me because I called him out. Finally, he decided he was going to finish the job. He sent another crew out. They finished it in two days but there are still a few details that Champion needs to address.

    Champion had to come back twice because someone didn't measure our window right and they ordered the wrong size. The two installs were about a month apart, but there was no problem with the installs and the windows are great. I was looking for not ridiculously expensive but really good windows, and Champion sent somebody out. The windows were obviously of good quality. There was some glass here and there during the install, but it's okay. They changed about 22 windows. You can’t really do that without making too big of a mess. They did most of it in one day. They incorrectly measured a window though, so, it didn't fit and they had to reorder it.

    We're very happy with the windows. The house is way better. We purchased the house with old 1970s windows and knew that was going to be an expenditure. We went through the first winter in the house with the old windows. There's an amazing difference we could see out of the new windows. The house is decently insulated, and you could feel cold air coming in the windows before. On a hot day, you could go stand in front of the new window and then in front of the old window, and you could feel a huge difference in the thermal protection.

    My husband is disabled, so we wanted a custom French door with a dog door in it, so the dogs can let themselves out. We sat down with the salesman for over three hours as we chose what we wanted, he filled out the form and called his manager Tim to make sure the form was done correctly, even sending him a photo of exactly the door we wanted. Tim ** said everything looked good. The order was placed and we started making payments, it was a lot of money so we financed through them.

    The installer came out and measured, thinking we were ordering two sets of doors, I stated we weren’t. He said he would have someone call me if the order was wrong. We were supposed to have the doors installed in two months. Two months later we get a call from Tim saying they never ordered the doors because the form was filled out wrong, they had to come and sit with us to place a new order and it would be over three months before we could get the door. We already financed and we’re paying for doors they never ordered and this is the first we hear from them? The doors were supposed to be installed. It was horrible customer service. We ended up canceling and they still owe us $50 from the interest we paid, financing doors they never bothered to order.

    We went to the store to look at the glass enclosures and we first dealt with the salespeople and installers of Champion there. We liked the interaction and they followed up. Then, the quote was reasonable. It was not cheap but you're talking about lifetime warranty, so you get what you pay for with Champion. The installation was smooth, easy, and took a day. But on the sunroom, it took them a few weeks. The thing is, once they got the pads poured out there and got the sidewalk done, everything else just went up. So they were very efficient and you wouldn't know they were here. With a lot of installation companies, you have drywall here, you have mortar here, and you have this and that. But we never had that with Champion. They would always clean up and would always take care of their things.

    Even if I would just call the service people on the phone to talk to them, they were very professional. They were different than most companies these days. I also love it everything we got from them and I couldn't be happier with the sunroom. It's been up for quite a while now and we've never had an issue with it. We had someone try to break in the backdoor and the lock prevented it. It ended up breaking the lock and they were going to charge us to come out and replace it, but since I made a police report on it, they went ahead and waived that. So that was pretty cool, too.

    These are the facts: Signed contract and paid down $10,000 for a Champion sunroom on 16 Aug 2021. Was told room would be installed “mid-November”. Starting 1 November, starting calling to get status. Left numerous messages….Nothing. Finally made contact and they didn’t know who I was. They finally found my packet late January 2022. Was told “mid-March” and I would have a sunroom. The team came out 21 March 2022 and 2 weeks later, I was provided a room that was substandard. Had several quality issues and when I FINALLY got someone to come out (told them I wasn’t signing anything until someone came and did a quality inspection). They dropped by unannounced and my wife showed them the room. They/Champion determined they needed to redo the room all over again…You are kidding me!!!! Grrrrr!

    The Champion reps determined it needed to be reinstalled, not me. I wasn’t home for that inspection. This was 15 April 2022. Side note: Why doesn’t Champion have a quality assurance program?? Someone to come out and inspect a completed room??? The local Champion team said they didn’t do that. That should be customer service 101. Anyway, Got a message and an email on 6 June 2022 that the team would be here today, 27 June 2022 between 0800 and 1000 to reinstall my sunroom, YES!! FINALLY!! My wife gets her sunroom for her plants and I finally get to move my office from the dining room table!! So, I moved meetings around so I could be home to get things started and understand their plan of attack. To no surprise, the team was a no show! Called the local Champion office at 1030 and they told me the team was not coming today and that I would get a call tomorrow.

    I’m a super patient person to a flaw actually. I am paying a lot of money (to me) and have waited 10.5 months (and counting) for my room. Am I being too patient with Champion??? I know if I was at the Executive level with Champion, I would be embarrassed for the company and upset we treat customers like poo. That’s if I was an Executive for a National brand. I did make contact via Linked with someone at the HQ, minimal help. Sure would like to get a note to the CEO Todd Dickson. He would probably like to know the trials and tribulations of one of his insignificant customers.

    The issues have had nothing to do with supply chain or Covid. These issues are directly related to incompetence (lost my packet), poor quality work (having to redo room), no coordination (concrete guy shows up a week after the room was built), missed workdays/appointments (not showing up to work on room or start new room) and poor communication from Champion (numerous calls not returned or not communicating when they are coming to the house). This sits squarely on the shoulders of Champion. Still do not have a sunroom. Wish I could turn the clock back 11 months and use the other contractor.

    The Champion Windows salesman misled me and told me I needed to replace 14 windows that could not be repaired. I found out from a reputable contractor that only 1 window needs to be replaced. The other 13 can be repaired. At this point, Champion Windows has refused to refund the funds that the company received from a finance company the Salesman told me I had to use. I did not authorize Champion Windows to obtain any funds the date the contract was signed from the finance company.

    Champion Windows representatives told me today that they will not refund the funds to me that they have received from the finance company and that I need to pay a penalty of $1,000 to Champion for cancelling the contract. Then, I was told by Champion Windows representatives that they were going to refer my request to cancel and for a full refund to Champion Windows' legal department. I do not recommend that anyone use Champion Windows company.

    Our experience with Champion sunrooms. We hired their services to add on a sunroom in march 2021 to be completed by july 4, 2021. From july to october 29 we had very poor communication. On october 29, 2021 we drove to their showroom to discover there had not been any supplies ordered and no follow up on the kc permit. We made phone calls all the way up to the ceo's office with no return calls. In december 2021 we contacted the mo attorney general office and they contacted champion at the top and their call was returned.

    Six weeks later we have our sunroom. It is 06/13/2022 and we have 6, yes 6 leaking windows out of 8. Now this is poor quality control from the factory. Thank goodness we still owe them final payment which they won't see until all is fixed. Plus they will be replacing some carpet and pad which will be deducted from the final payment. Please, please, read the reviews and take note of the bad ones. All sunrooms are being put together at the factory then installed like a puzzle with a lot of calk. Buyer beware.

    The first time we used Champion Windows was for siding and this last time was a storm door and then to do siding underneath the eaves of the house. You’d never know that the installers were here when they were done. Everything ran smoothly. I made the decision that that was what I was going to do on a Thursday, then on Tuesday, they were out measuring. After they measured, it was four days and they said they were coming to do my windows. My full windows only took four hours to put in and the installation was good.     The rep was easy to talk to. He was very interested in our projects, our house and what we were looking to do. He gave us good advice that was not just focused on selling us windows. He offered us other advice about other projects that we were looking at, and his thoughts on them based on his experiences. So, it was nice that he wasn't just there to be a salesman of Champion Windows. He presented an all-around, “I'm here to help you. And if this is the right option for you, then we'll figure it out. And if it's not the right option for you, you'll know after this visit that it's not.”

    The install was awesome. Those guys were great. It was a group of about four or five people. And they communicated when they were coming up. They came up. They were very professional and polite. I could see them being very conscious of our space. They had a lady that followed them around with a Shop-Vac, making sure that if anything got dirty, it didn't stay dirty for very long. They were fast.

    And I asked them, “Can you save our windows?” Because we didn't want broken windows. Which I read reviews that sometimes there are broken windows. But we also wanted to be able to reuse the windows. I was concerned that it might not be very easy for them to save the windows. And they said, “Sure, that's no problem at all. Here's the situation with your windows. Here's what we need to do to save them. We can't save these pieces because they have to come out.” They very clearly explained everything to me of what they could do and why. They did seven windows in four hours and left, and everything was clean and done. I went around and looked at all the outside stuff. And it was all very well done.

    The only problem that we're having right now, and part of why I haven't done the email surveys, is because I don't know how to rate that. The salesman was great. The installers were great. But we had one of our windows, two days after it was installed, we went down there and it was broken. Our only guess and other people who looked at it, is that maybe the gas pressure inside, because of our altitude, there might have been a little defect of some kind and it caused it to explode. Because that's what happened. One panel is still intact, but the inner panel exploded in. It wasn't that dramatic, but the glass was pushed in. I am holding off to see how they dealt with that.

    Also, the wrong handles were ordered for one of the bay windows. So, we can't open the bay windows yet. We still have stickers on those windows because we can't get to them without opening the window. I called the call center to follow up, because I emailed the information. The customer service lady that I talked to via email was very helpful. And she said, “If we can figure out what window this is for sure, then we don't have to take the time to send a tech out there to measure and make sure what we need to replace. I can just put the order in.” So, I gave her the measurements. She said, “No problem, I found the window. It's the only one of that size, and I'll put in the order.”

    I tried to follow up a couple of weeks later. I called and I was sent to a different call center. But they didn't know the situation. So, they had to do a little research and they got back with me, which was fine, and said, “We're sending a request to the Denver center for them to update you on what's going on with the handles and the windows.” But I never heard back from Denver on that. Other than that, I'm happy at this point.

    Over 9 months ago we signed a contract for all windows and doors in our home. Still only partially completed. Very poor to almost no communication. Due to relocating for work we need to sell our home. The windows and door that still need to be finished are not even in production yet. I want to cancel part of the project. I wanted to cancel the part of the contract not complete and was told no. They promise to write a letter for whoever buys out home. The letter would promise buyer that Champion would complete the contract.

    Right I have a signed contract that they will complete... estimated 9 to 12 weeks from July of last year. They finally completed part of it in December then all communications ceased until I finally complained enough with messages on LinkedIn. Not very customer friendly kind of unethical in my opinion. Buyer be aware of Champion windows.

    All my windows are Champion windows. I bought just a few at a time because they're cost-prohibitive, but I wouldn't have anything else. They keep out the heat in the summer and insulate the house in the wintertime, too. Recently, I purchased an 83 x 62, a 39 x 53, and another 36 x 40. The person I dealt with was the manager and he was pretty aggressive. Because I was a returning customer, he offered me the percentages off that they usually do.

    When they first brought the windows, all the windows were incorrect and I stopped the installers halfway through the job. One of the windows is just a standard 39 inches wide x 53 inches high, but it was three inches short on the overall length from bottom to top. The front window I ordered was a three-panel slider at 33% each. What they brought me was a 20-20-40, so the center window was way wider than the two outside windows. I didn't want that window. Each of the windows should be the same size in the front, and I ordered that for a reason. It took them six weeks to get that window back. Now, the windows that I currently have in is not properly fit. It's three eighths of an inch short on the width, and I'm dissatisfied.

    They said, “Okay, we're gonna say the job is finished and we're going to put this on a service call.” What they didn't tell me is how far their service is backed up. I was led to believe that it'd only be three to six weeks. It's now been almost eight. With winter being over though, I'm not too concerned about the tight fit on the window. I'd be more concerned if it was still dead of winter and I had a three eighths gap in the window and it was leaking like crazy. I'm losing a lot of money on that, and I'm cold.

    Another thing that really tweaked me is I've never received an email from them before, or a text message. I received a text message basically asking me not to contact the office anymore for the service, that I needed to contact the company through this text message now. I want to talk to a real person, and I want to talk to the people that I contracted with. I don't want to talk to somebody I don't know. This is the first time I've had this kind of experience with Champion.

    In the past, it's always been straightforward. Now, the installers have been out three times. They had three people measure the windows and got them wrong, and this is not Champion. These are subcontractors. That's not how I dealt with Champion Windows in the past, so I was a little disappointed with that. However, I didn't have any problem with them other than they were subcontractors. Their install was really good and the windows look good put in. It's just that they didn't get the right windows from the factory, and that's not on the installer. As a subcontractor, they can only put in what they get. Unless they looked at my contract and said, “You're supposed to get this, this, and this one,” but they don't look at that. All they're going by is the barcode sticker that Champion has put on the side of the window that indicates what belongs to me and what my account number is.

    The issues I have with Champion Windows aren't necessarily with them. For instance, their financing is at a 6.99% rate. They hook you up with GreenSky Financing, which I have no idea what kind of company that is. The minimum payment is $30, and out of that $30, 10 goes to finance charges. How is that 6.99%? To me, that's 30%. There’s something wrong with their financing right out of the gate. I don't like the fact that they're opening me a line of credit with a company and that they're not explaining how the financing exactly is. That is not what I call a simple interest note. A simple interest note, I would borrow 3,500 and I would pay this amount of interest and that would be it. This has not been my experience in the past with Champion as well. The same thing with the installers. I don't know whether it's just the times and they're having problems hiring people to be installers for Champion.

    All I'm interested in is the quality of the window, which I'm already familiar with. There's not much they can do with that. My biggest thing with them right now would be that they got some issues with fitting. One of the things that Champion says is, “We customize your windows,” but what they don't tell you is that they have a maximum height of 63 inches. Anything above that, they've got to board up. No one said anything to me about that and this was the first time I've ever bought a window of this size from them, so I was a little taken aback by that.

    Still, I want to be fair with the company. Every time I had an issue, I got a response right away. As a matter of fact, the install manager from Champion, Warren, came to my house and looked at what I had for problems and agreed with me. He's the one that decided to put a stop to the job and put me on a service call, which I still haven't heard back.

It's in my kitchen and now I see it every time I look at it. It's like a little spot in the glass. So I'm not super happy. Also, they forgot two screens and I'm still waiting on them because they're gonna bring them when the door is in. It's hard to get through to them to even ask when my door is coming. So it's been frustrating.

    We made the unfortunate decision to make a purchase of two windows from Champion at the end of May/beginning of June 2021. When the salesperson showed up, after discussing the need to keep cold and dry air out of our basement in the Winter time and hot and humid air out of the basement in the summer time, we settled on purchasing horizontal sliders for our basement as the best option for those purposes. In no way, shape or form were we informed that these would come with an open weeping channel that would run the risk of either intentionally or defectively defeating the purpose of the purchase as was discussed.

    While we were informed that the process would take approximately 8 weeks to get our new windows manufactured installed, we were fairly patient with them given the supply chain issues last summer. Rather, Champion finally reached out about 14 weeks later in September to schedule the installation. Unfortunately, the installer informed us that they had previously not measured correctly and the windows that were manufactured were not the correct size.

    While the installer said that we would be put at the top of the list for getting the correct windows made, it took another 3 months/end of December, before they were completed installed. The new windows looked fairly decent enough, however after a winter vacation in January, once we were back in February we noticed that the windows were letting in a significant amount of cold air. Both windows were letting in cold air in the joints, and more significantly, the open, uncovered weep hole on the smaller window was letting in a strong, consistent stream of cold air. We had a general contractor working on another project for us take a look, and he stated that in 30 years of installing windows, he had never seen anything like this, stating it was like having a freezing cold air conditioner pumping cold air into our basement in the dead of winter.

    The cold air being let in through the defective weep hole was approximately 10 degrees warmer than the temperature registered outside. I have attached photos here showing the temperature being let in through the weep hole, 28 degrees, when it was 20 degrees outside, and another one showing the 40 degree temperature when it was in the low 30s outside. Additionally, we were not provided screens with the original installation and have not received any communication on when these are going to be provided or delivered.

    At that time in February, we reached out to the salesperson that sold us the windows, to request that they come out to take a look to fix it or to come out and show us what our options are to get a replacement. He passed along the message from their service desk manager that we should just cover up the hole with a piece of tape or felt to keep the cold air out. After explaining that this was a completely unacceptable and inadequate remedy and again requesting that they send someone out to fix the issue immediately or show us what our options are to get a replacement window, or provide a refund to hire a company that sells functioning windows, no action was taken except for receiving progressively more insulting emails.

    We finally escalated the issue to the sales manager, who informed us that he had put us at the top of the list with their service department, and had sent along the urgent issue for them to have someone assigned to come out and fix the issue. That was two months ago, and no one from Champion has yet to come out to fix the defective window or to come out to show us what our replacement options or to explain to us what the refund process is so that we can move forward with getting a functioning window in place.

    We’ve reached out to the sales manager multiple times since then, and it is apparent that his intent is to just keep stringing us along at this point. Our previous 30 year old fake Pella windows far surpassed our new Champion windows in keeping the cold and dry air out of the house. There is a reason that Champion has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. I strenuously advise any potential customers to look anywhere else for their window needs.

    The Champion sales guy was very friendly, gave us lots of information and worked with us. He was great. I was not here for installation, but my husband was and he said that it went well. My only grievance is that there was a bunch of things moved, which is fine. I understand that that needed to happen. But then, there was debris left out from the installation. Just a lot of the things that had been moved did not get put back. I don't know if that was in the installation agreement, but that was my one, "Okay" that could have been more helpful if that had been communicated better.     The concrete was poured wrong, left an overhang that needed to be fixed. They left the transom glass missing for two months without any temporary covering, allowing bugs to move into the area. They finally finished, but realized it had the wrong number of windows. The windows wouldn't close correctly (the two panes would not align correctly when closed, resulting in air/water leak). After I inspected, and pointed out the issue with the wrong number of windows they came in to replace the wall that had wrong number of windows. They broke other parts of the sunroom while replacing the wall.

    The new wall has correct number of windows, but has bowed snaps on the bottom that aren't parallel with the windows nor the floor. The new wall had a broken snap that has hastily been "fixed" by smearing caulk on it. I was willing to overlook these because it's been a year and a half and I am mentally exhausted from dealing with this project. While installing the floors I noticed there was an air-leak on the bottom corner of the sunroom. I caulked it myself to close the air leak. Finally I was trying to enjoy the sunroom and I realize now the new windows they installed do not have latches, so they can not be locked! I also notice one of the screens they put in for the new windows is the wrong size, sticks out by about 2 inches.

    They were supposed to inspect it to make sure it was done correctly, it's clear they didn't inspect anything. The quality is garbage. The snaps have noticeable gaps where it shrinks/grows. The door/window latches (where they did manage to put them in) don't work well because they're very poorly engineered. Half the time it won't close correctly. So, I've had NOTHING BUT ISSUES and apparently I am still going through the issues.

    My sister purchased Champion Windows, and she was quite happy with them. She had two in her house that she had problems with, and they came back right away and took care of the situation. It's hard to find somebody that does that. I had 19 windows, and they should have taken three days, but that's not what they chose to do. They did a two-day job and did a great job on the trim work. The windows are also very good, but some of their installation was not what I would consider the greatest ever. I spent $20,000 and the people that were here worked hard, but they pushed them too hard. When they put caulk on the inside, they took one day to caulk, ran it across but didn't take into account that many times caulk has bubbles in it. When the bubbles break, guess what? The air comes in your house then you have to do that yourself.

    On one of my windows on the back where they put the aluminum trim around it, there was a piece of wood from when they tore the old windows out laying on the seal and they did not even brush it off. They just put the metal on top of it. That is a piece of crap. I happen to notice because it's a high window, so the brick seal was eye-level. My house was built in 1933, and it's got a lot of windows. I knew it was gonna be expensive, but I expected a better quality, and I simply did not get that. They want to come back and make some minor repairs, but I don't want them around my property. For the amount of money I spent, I would never. My other sister is getting ready to replace the one that's in her house, and I told her straight out, "Do not use Champion." That was very frustrating.

    We felt Champion's was a super good product with a good warranty, yet not so over the top. My son could afford it. The windows look nice, too. We went to put the first payment down and I tried to get CHamnpion to email a receipt and it didn't come through. Also, my son is waiting for one to be replaced. He came home and one already has a crack in it. The glass is cracked. But getting it replaced was not a hassle either. The lady called him and he talked to the lady. He's all set up for that.

    Thirty year old home. Windows were fogged and leaking. I checked several local suppliers and found that good quality windows were on order and delivery time was unavailable. Installers varied as well as install prices. I made an appointment with Champion's competition company and got a no show and no call back. I called Champion Windows and made an appointment for a sales rep. Michael arrived on time and well prepared. Explained the difference in their product v/s others and what products they had to offer. My wife and I selected the windows of choice and Michael measured the existing windows for replacement. He then called Portland for price and availability. We received a one time quote for windows and installation. Approximate time of delivery and install was given at this time.

    I paid 1/2 down with cash back credit card and received cash discount and no extra charge. An appointment was made for a installer to come and check measurements for accuracy. The installed showed up on time and called before his arrival. Joe measured all windows, checked and double checked his measurements and sent the order for construction. Several weeks before the windows were to be delivered, I was contacted by the company to verify the install date.

    On said date the installers called and arrived on time and started work. A van truck arrived shortly after with the windows. Some modifications had to be made to the window sills because of difference in thickness of existing windows and the installers did an excellent job of fitting and installing. They had eight windows and one sliding patio door installed in less than six hours, working straight through, no breaks or lunch which was offered. Only problem with entire job was one torn screen on bedroom window. Which was ordered at this time. They also did a very good job of clean up after completion. All windows and leftover material was loaded in van and removed when leaving. All in all it was a very good experience. The price of the windows were a bit higher than local dealers but it is uncommon to get a quote that doesn't include some hidden charges. I would have no problem referring Champion to others.     The rep explained everything. She told me a few things that Champion does that other companies don't. She gave us a ballpark figure time of when the installation was going to be done. Champion did it within that timeframe. The techs were very professional and they came through. They explained to us how the windows worked and what the process was. They cleaned up after themselves.

    We had one small problem with one of our windows and we called them about that. They came within the week and took care of it in 20 minutes. Everything has worked out well with them.

    We had all the windows in our house replaced. We had to replace all the window sills and the trim around the windows also. Our Champion representative was very nice and we liked him. The workers were really nice and very efficient too. They did a nice job. But there was an issue with one of the windows. The screens were not available when they put them in. We got a note saying they were going to get upgraded screens. We still have no screens for any of the windows at this point. We’re going on almost two months from when the windows were installed. We've not heard about when those screens are going to appear. Right now, we don't need them. It's cold outside and we're not going to be opening our windows anytime soon. But at the same time, that's an interesting little facet there. Other than that, we're really pleased.

    I would suggest that you do not use Champion Windows based on the experience I continue to have with them. Normally I do not write review until a project is over but in this case I need to make an exception. I will break this into 3 parts starting with why I chose them over competitors, the good I have experienced, and the bad. First I interviewed 3 different window companies to replace windows on my residential house for a total of 15 windows. All companies came out on time, gave great presentations, and were priced about the same. I decided to go with Champion for 3 reasons even thought they were about $2000 higher than the next person I would have gone with. The offered a one-time transferrable warranty if I sold my house, the quality of the window seem a little better, and they had been in business for 60 plus years.

    I ordered my windows mid- March and was told they should be in from the warehouse in 6-8 weeks. When week 8 came they called and said the window were in and we set up an install the next week. On May 24th they came out and installed my back and side windows but found out the person from Champion who measured my front windows with arches measured them wrong. When I contacted the company on what we need to do (yes, I had to reach out) they did not even apologize but just said "we fired that person". First off I never want to see anyone fired and second how does firing him make things right with me. Eventually I got a call and said the window would be in around 3-4 weeks. July 1st comes and I finally get a call saying they are having issues with their supplier who makes the arched windows trying to get the right curve. At this point I am told that I am now a priority.

    Eventually I end up calling my install manager every few weeks to to see what is going on and get the same story that the supplier is still trying to figure out if they can make the arched windows. Come October I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Champions response is that they are waiting on parts from the supplier which is not the story I had been told for months. In the response they said they should have the parts from the supplier end of November. It is now January 10th and I not only have no windows but I have not heard from them. It has now been 9 months since I ordered my window and I still do not have a complete project. I could have created a baby faster than it takes them to create a couple of windows.

    The windows I do have are good. The installer who came out and did the back and side windows did a good job. The local install manager "Jack" seems to be the only person trying which I do appreciate. Other than that I shocked that a company that does business like this has been around for 60 years. Honestly I ignored a lot of complaints folks had about them on reviews but now I get it. I think their biggest problem is customer service, it is not only lacking, it seems almost non-existent.

    Champion contracted to complete a sunroom at my home in May 2021 and took a $17,000 deposit. They told me there would be a delay in completing the project due to supply issues related to Covid. However, 7 months later, and only after I chased them around quite a lot, they advised that they "did not do" the kind of project that they contracted for, and advised they would refund my deposit. However they refused to pay interest on my money held under false pretenses for over 7 months.

    I liked the quality of Champion's windows. Also, they were a lot more reasonably priced than Andersen or Pella. Champion redid my whole house. I did it over the course of three years. I had the bedroom windows done the first year. I had a bay window and patio sliders done the second year on a sunroom.     The ones that I did the paperwork with were nice. And the two guys who came and put in the windows were fantastic. They were friendly and hardworking. They showed up in every kind of weather. They were out there freezing and I felt so bad. I tried to get them in to warm up and they said, “No, no, we got to work.” It was a great experience all the way around. Everybody was pleasant and knew their stuff. We love the windows. Yesterday, it was cold outside but the windows keep it warm in that room and it's just like a warm day. So, we can go out there and sit and we would think it was 75 outside but it's not. We were in the 30s yesterday. That's how nice the windows are.

    Don’t use them!! We had 13 windows replaced that are leaking, we see water dripping on the inside. We have been trying for over 6 months now to get Champion to fix it and they don’t answer, don’t call you back, pawn it off on someone else, tell you it’s an insurance claim then nothing happens…. We have been calling every other day with nothing. Even had one of their reps hang up on my husband. We now have soft walls around the windows and our trim is pulling away from the wall from warping.

    One of their guys that came out to check it out (not fix anything mind you) showed me where there’s damage. You can even see where drops are coming in and the caulking on the inside has failed. On top of that 2 of them are installed crooked and two had wrong grids… It’s unbelievable. You can also see that they used clear caulk on the inside of one and it’s not paintable. Do yourself and your home a favor and don’t use them. What good is a warranty if they won’t do anything about it!! This has been such an awful experience and now I’m worried about water and moisture in my walls that’s been coming in for a year or so since we had them installed and who knows there could be mold now due to their lack of taking this seriously.     We purchased our windows in 2006. They had a lifetime warranty for the same homeowner. Decades later, we were experiencing moisture between the panes. It was likely due to a small ding in the pane. The company was located on Long Island at the time of purchase, but was no longer there in 2021. We located them in Cincinnati, OH and they said they will certainly honor the warranty. Theodore came to our home to measure and order the replacement window. When the window replacement came in, he was the same gentleman who installed it. He was on time, very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient.     We installed the first half of our Champion windows two years ago and this year, we installed the other half. There is one screw missing with the patio door which was installed two years ago. I asked the crew who came to install the new one this year to put that screw. They said, “We don't have it. We'll send somebody to fix it.” But they didn't send anybody. So the patio door needs to be checked. I won’t recommend Champion to anybody else. They have good windows, a good installation team, but their after-service is not reliable.

    We liked the way our experience was. It was just the time delay of getting the windows in was the issue. The installation seemed forever because of the COVID. We ordered in May, and we got the windows put in the first of November. They were supposed to come in August. Another time, the fellow ordered the right windows, but they had too many grids in them. I called and he was very caring. He made sure that he had everything down. So, he reordered. We had a lateral one on the top, and it didn't have grids in it. And there was a delay. He said it was because of the lack of shipping. But we were pleased with the rep that we had. He was on track with things. And when we sent in an issue, he reordered. Also, the gentlemen that the rep chose for installation was very capable. We will probably order more windows from Champion in time and we want the same installers. I appreciate the representative giving us good help on that.

    I would give a 0 if it was possible. We ordered, signed a contract, and paid 50% for windows and a double front door on March 12, 2021. Champion as been out twice and measured our windows wrong both times, causing a reorder. Some of our windows were finally installed mid September 2021. We have tried to get a response as to when we will get our other windows and front door, promises that the GM would contact us multiple times, never has happened. We asked if we could cancel our front doors, we were told that we would be penalized financially 30% of the price of the doors. We were told it would take 8-10 weeks from the March date for installation.

    I understand Covid, but it has been almost 39 weeks. I asked if there was a discount due to their errors in measuring and having our house with furniture moved away from the windows for so long. (We are in our 70s and have a difficult time moving furniture) We were told no way. I am very dissatisfied and keep wondering why no one responds to us.

    The sales guy was very knowledgeable, except for the financing part. Champion says they’re 0% financing and then the customer to pay so much upfront. After installation, the customer starts paying interest. But then Champion says, “Oh, we're gonna finance you. And in 30 days, the finance company will finance you and you start paying them immediately. And it's with interest.” So they contradict themselves. The sales guy didn't understand that. He even put me on the phone with somebody else. They tried to explain it away. But bottom line is, it’s not free financing for three months. It's free financing until GreenSky kicks in within 30 days, then you start paying interest. But overall, I'm very satisfied with Champion. I've looked at the windows since they were replaced and they look fine. Champion told me I have within a year to get 50% off in any other windows I want to be done.

    The gentleman who came out to our house happened to be the sales manager at the Champion location in Cincinnati. He came out to design a sunroom for us at first. We decided to go with a whole set of windows around our entire house so he came out a second time. We also visited the showroom and we were very pleased with his thorough explanation. So it was really the customer service, and the quality of the window that were apparent to us. Also, the installers were outstanding in every way. They worked with us to retrofit the windows to a 100-year-old house. They had to do some finagling with that a bit to get the windows to the level that they needed to be. But it created a great product.

    We haven't felt excessive heat coming through when the sun is shining and cold coming through when it has been very cold. Also, the whole house is quieter. So it has impacted us on our energy bills just with the quiet nature of noise reduction. Champion is a great option. I would refer others to some of the people that I talked with and worked with at Champion.

    I looked for somebody that would be local and Champion Windows is local. A couple of the other outfits seem like middlemen. They would come in here then they would hire somebody else out to put the windows in, and they bought the windows from somebody else. Champion makes their own windows. I looked at five or six different operations and Champion looked more affordable and it was a good product. The rep was cool. He was very detailed and went over all the nuts and bolts to the operation.

    The guys that came in and installed were brothers and they've been installing windows for Champion for 17 years. One brother works on the inside and one works on the outside. That’s how they get the windows installed so fast. They're great and the windows look really sturdy. These are all fiberglass aluminum, so I shouldn't have that much of a problem as far as the mold goes. The only thing is in two of the windows, it's a large bay window in the middle and the two sides slide in. You should be able to lift those out to clean them. But the one that's in the upstairs bedroom needs about another 16th of an inch to be able to pop out.

    I had great experience with Champion. John, the sales rep, was awesome. He deserves a raise. He wanted to go through the background of Champion. I have some specialty windows, so I needed somebody to be able to do that and Champion was able to do it. I also got a way better price out of them than I did with another company. It's not an instantaneous process though because they have to measure and make the windows especially for me. I didn't know that before because I've never put windows on a house before. It took about three months before they go through the whole process which was a little longer than I would have hoped but it's been worth every penny. They were pretty efficient in getting the windows installed once they were here. I had them put windows in my whole upstairs and they got them all in in one day.     I liked the deal that Champion was offering and the salesman didn't try to oversell me on anything. He was straight to the point, real honest, and forward about it. Then, he demoed the windows that he had in his truck. It was so much better than some windows you can buy and replace on your own and it fit in my budget. A guy came out a week after I got the estimate and he measured. Then, I got a call two weeks later that the windows were in and that they could install them the following day. It was incredibly fast. They got them all installed in one day and they came back two days later and did the trim around the outside. From the day that I got the estimate from the salesperson to the day that the windows were installed, it was 30 days. I like the windows a lot. It's a better picture looking outside.     We are in the waiting process of getting two new windows and complete siding, insulation/wrap and new gutters, soffit and shutters and also trim in the all the windows and doors and shop garage door on our home here in East Tennessee. Now we did the quote in May and we are waiting out the lead times of mid September for the windows and around November for the other exterior upgrades. I will follow up on that when it occurs.

    I ordered doors in May 2020 which were not installed until Nov 2020. Installer damaged trim. With several calls and letters to the company it has not been corrected. The attempts they made included installation of mix matched wood around the door. Now at July 2021 my front door is without trim. They have removed the trim and white drywall is showing in my living room. Champion Windows and Doors will not respond to my messages or emails.

    I purchased 20 windows, four doors, and the sunroom from Champion. The quality of the products is fantastic. It's all very good. The sales rep was really good. First, he came out about the sunroom. Then, after the sunroom was mostly built, I had him come out and I talked to him about the windows and the doors. He knew what he was talking about. He knew what we needed and ordered it. He had a lot of good suggestions.

    The sunroom was really good. It took them a while though. The weather had a lot to do with it and COVID had some other things to do with it. But we finally got it done. The windows, I was amazed how fast they got those in. The doors, there was a lot of work they had to do to get those doors in. But once they were in, they were fabulous. Champion is great. The big difference has been my air condition. I can set it where I like it instead of setting it where I would set it to save money. Now, I've got it set where I enjoy the temperature and my air conditioner hardly comes on during the day. It's been in the hundreds for weeks.

    I called Champion Windows and a gentleman came out. I told him he had to talk to my son to see what my son had to say. My son said that he’s dealing with Champion and he’s having no problem with them. He told me I'm not gonna have any problem with them either. I purchased the windows and did have a little problem. My first time I went to let the window down, there’s a thing on its side that came out. But one or two days after, the gentleman was there in the rain to fix it. Last month, my light bill was $75. When I got my light bill for this month, it's $111. I don't know the next month would it be lower or higher.

    As far as the sales with Champion were concerned, it went fine. It took 45 minutes to go through everything and explained everything to us. When the gentleman came out to do the installation, he was very thorough and took good care of everything. The house and the windows look good. The appearance is much nicer than what the old windows were. I've noticed that as far as the air conditioning is concerned, the house stays cooler because it's not losing the air out to the windows that we were before. I've noticed also it seems to be a little quieter against the traffic that runs by. I'm well satisfied. In fact, I'm in the process of getting things they gathered up because I got three more windows that need to be done.

    Dealing with Champion windows has been a nightmare from the minute we signed the contract. We were told 8-10 weeks until install, 12 weeks later we have not even received a call from Champion. When we finally got someone to return a call we were told the windows had not been order due to an internal error. At that point we requested to be released from the contract for non-delivery of service/product and Champion windows threatened us with a 30% penalty for canceling.

    The claim they are not responsible for material delays even though they had already admitted there was not a material delay. Since we are not willing to pay the $10,000 'penalty' we are stuck, still waiting 20 weeks later and still not a single call from them to explain. Champion Windows doesn't have customers, they have victims. Cannot be strong enough in warning folks to steer clear of this mess of a company. Check the BBB, look at the 100s of recent complaints and then look at the disinterested replies from Champion. They simply do not care.

    I had replacement windows a couple of years ago. Now am noticing the trim around the windows is buckling. Also when I went to repaint found out they used a non-paintable caulk on the interior of the windows and I have to scrape all the caulk out and replace with paintable caulk! Not impressed with the quality of the materials being used or the workmanship of the installation.

    We had used Champion in the past and liked their product. We put the windows in this house for 15 years and had no problem with them. That was a reason why we chose to go with them this time. Both the salesperson and the installation crew were pleasant and easy to work with. We had to have a couple of things corrected after they were installed and they tried to come out as quickly as possible. They were able to fix what needed to be fixed.

    However, we weren't given an option either time. I didn't realize there were different options. We just had windows and a sliding glass door. There is a significant difference between the picture windows and the windows that open and I don't know if they can show a picture of how the picture window looks versus how the windows that open look. There is quite a bit of vinyl around the picture window and I don't think it looks as nice as the other windows. Had I known what those look like, I would have not chosen picture windows. You'd not be able to see what that looks like until they're in. That's one regret. There are definitely a couple of places in my house where we put picture windows where I think I would have preferred now, after having them in, to have the other windows that open.

    I bought a sliding glass patio door from Champion for several thousand dollars. Since then the handle of the door has broken off through normal opening and closing 4 times. The last two times it broke off the door was no longer under warranty for service. So, twice I have had to drive to the company headquarters to pick up a new handle and then hire a handyman to replace the handle. As Champion builds their own doors, the door handle must be poorly designed if the handle breaks off 4 times in 10 years. I am getting new windows for my home and will not be considering Champion.

    The guys from Champion were phenomenal. We had a window that leaked and the board was rotting out. They took the siding off the house and replaced about four feet of two by sixes. The guys did excellent work. Mike, the fellow that I always deal with and Marta, the lady I call for repairs is like talking to your family. They take you in interest and make sure you get everything you need done. People can do comparison shopping but you’ll probably always come back with better results if you go with a local company.     My daughter and son-in-law had new windows and siding put on their home and I liked the quality of the windows. I had Champion install mine too and I absolutely love the clarity, the money that they saved me, and the easy cleaning. I also had a storm door put on the front door and I really enjoy it where the screen comes up when you pull down the window. I highly recommend Champion. They're fantastic.

    I'm older and I’m immaculate about my home. When my dryer had a mark on it, I called Champion and wanted the rep to see it. He said, “Just go and clean it. It’s just something got scrubbed out.” He calmed and reassured me. When the manager of the working crew came out, he was awesome. There was a problem with my front window. It was like a bay window that jutted out. There was water damage. They had to replace the lumber and they had to put new bottom steel plates. The manager said, “Rest assured we're gonna take care of it.”

    I was really taken care of and I was very impressed by their service. They were an excellent crew and they worked very well. They cleaned up the screws around the plates from taking out the old windows. My dad was self-employed for 38 years. You always put a smile on and you put your best foot forward. And that's what the crew did. They provided old fashioned service. It's always nice to see a company that cares about their service, their name, and their reputation. I'm very well pleased. My value has gone up immensely since I bought my home. And my windows look fantastic.

    The Champion Windows agents were all very helpful. We got a picture window. The installation was good. They did a great job making it look like it’s always been there. It was three traditional double-hung windows with trims on them that was converted to an oversized picture window. It was a little unique because we were selling the house when we were in Florida, but the installation was happening in Tennessee. So, the timing was a little off, but it was a special-sized window, so it took them longer than expected. When they finally got the window in, they had to come back up to Tennessee. Everything went well then.

    I live in Colorado and I hired Champion to build me a sun room. First they delayed to construction for two months. Then when they started they violated the construction permit and OSHA regulations so I stopped the work. Champion was removed from the construction permit as a result of their violating the construction permit. Their customer service department refuses to try to resolve this issue and after trying for a resolution for almost two months and many broken promises from Champion I have had to refer my case to the BBB and will follow up with a lawsuit if the BBB cannot help. Stay away from them.

    Champion Window’s guy came out and went through all these demonstrations. I felt the heat light and that demonstration was very nice. It showed the heat that comes through regular glass compared to their glass or some other type of glass. I had two windows replaced. One was a double window and the other was a big window. But they replaced a total of five windows because they had to make one big window into three. The quality of work was great and I love Champion. I can't wait till it gets hot so I cannot feel the heat through the big window.

    In choosing Champion, the salesman was a big factor as well as the price. The salespeople and the people that came out are top-notch. They were wearing masks, keeping the distance and were very polite. Everything went pretty well with the installation. I'm most impressed with how the siding went up. It was relatively four days it took them to do the siding. But the windows, there’s still an open ticket for that. The guys that first installed the windows didn't square them up and make them level. The first one didn't have grids, but the second windows they had to reorder did have the grids. The windows are just not square. I just wish that the windows would have been done right the first time. But other than that, I like everything. The quality is great. It's much better than the windows that we had, which were original to the house. I like how my house looks a lot better.

The handle on the sliding screen door keeps falling off despite our attempts to replace the screws, which we shouldn't have to do. The front entry door has a "comfort 365 glass window", which is about to fall out. When you touch it moves back and forth. You can feel the winter wind come in all around it. Our remedy has been to place duct tape all around it hoping that will help save on high heating bills. Also, to prevent the glass from falling out for children to step in broken glass.

    In addition, the door doesn't seal properly. There is a crack 12 inches from the floor up on the latch side, which also allows cold air in. Locking the door is dependent on the temperature. I know homes settle, but this is not very energy efficient or safe. The salesman told us Champion has a patented latch that can be adjusted to correct the alignment of the door to prevent gaps. Not true or they just didn't install it.

    I originally placed the service request via email as suggested and never received acknowledgement of the request. I called on September 24th and November 2nd of 2020 and spoke with Allison (nice and polite lady) to confirm my service request has been received. It is now Jan 7, 2021 and still no call from Champion to discuss the issues or acknowledge that I am on the list for service. I guess the duct tape around the glass of the front entry door will remain with a sign "installed by Champion" until Champion can even acknowledge my service request and guarantee they will make it right like their warranty is written.

    Every morning, we open our shades and we have to wipe across the bottom of the window because of the moisture. The salesman told us that our house is too humid. So, we went and bought a dehumidifier that sits in our living room. Usually, if we can keep the humidity at 35% the windows are okay. But, that's the same thing we had with our old windows. Our salesman did not leave out flyers on humidity. It's great not to have to wipe humidity off our windows every morning. Giving a flyer is a basic thing to him and he was afraid to leave that for fear we'd know.

    The expense of going to buy a dehumidifier to keep the moisture off the windows kind of upset me. Also, we don't smell musty or anything like that from humidity. Champion said that if the moisture is between my windows, then there may have been a broken seal. But it's not and it's always along the bottom of the windows. We are also concerned with our bedroom window which thaws when it's warmer outside. It drips down to our front window. Our older windows never did that.

    Our experience with Champion Windows & Home Exteriors went fine on installation. We had a couple of window providers who showed us windows but as we chose someone local in Champion. I didn't like the part that they brought a different crew to put them in. While I have nothing against Mexican-oriented people, I was hoping for one of the guys to be someone I could talk to while they were doing the inside stuff.

    Our experience with Champion was less than stellar. In fact, from the beginning of this process in June until now it has been horrendous. We were not given the windows we purchased. We paid for a premium product. The windows received were the standard product and one of them was cracked. The installer indicated someone would return in two weeks to repair the cracked window. We immediately contacted Champion customer service. The person we spoke with stated someone would contact us promptly. We waited patiently but had no response so we called again without a positive result. We left numerous messages with no return calls.

    Finally, after three months of being given the run around, we got a call from a representative who put us in contact with a man who was identified as a national customer service rep. This was the week of November 16, 2020. He called us and we were unavailable but called him leaving a voicemail. His voicemail stated that he had a 24 hour turn around for messages. We called four additional times and left voicemails but never got a return call. The only reason we were able to make contact with him then is because we called customer service – again – and explained our inability to reach this person.

    The person we spoke to worked in the same building as the National Customer Service Rep and was able to get him to call us back the same day. From the beginning of the call he was very rude. He denied that his outgoing message indicated a 24 hour turn around. He accused us of blackmail and extortion because we explained we would be contacting the BBB and other consumer review sites to warn other people how this company operates.

    We told him that we do not want their product and would like a refund. The sales rep said Champion would not honor our request. We even tried to compromise by accepting the incorrect windows for the amount of the deposit we paid since there was a substantial cost difference, but this sales rep. refused to work with us. He insisted that Champion return and install the correct windows. We had a contract for a specific product and style but did not receive them initially.

    It took four months to even reach someone to discuss the issues we had with the company. It should not take six months to resolve an issue. We have never dealt with a company that was so lacking in customer service. We reiterated this situation reflected poorly on the company and asked to speak with someone else in authority but this sales rep told us he was the head of customer service and that he was the only person we could talk to about our issues. His exact quote was that he was “the highest of the high in the company” next to the CEO. The conversation became heated and he hung up while I was still talking.

    After this exchange I reached out to the CEO with no response. A few days later we called customer service again and indicated we need a resolution but stressed that we did not want to speak to the previous sales rep. We were directed to the VP of Human Resources. At first, we thought this person was going to be helpful but as the discussion progressed we realized she was more interested in talking down to us than taking responsibility for our problems. She did not allow us to get a word in edgewise. She finally agreed that Champion needed to find a resolution that would be satisfactory for us. We discussed the difference in the prices for what we ordered and what was actually installed. She said it would take a few days for her to gather all the information required to figure things out, but we didn’t hear from her again.

    After ten days we received a phone call from the previous sales rep which we made very clear we did not want to speak with again. The conversation was more heated and ugly than before. This time we ended the call. Champion Windows is a terrible company. From day one they have exhibited terrible customer service and a lack of integrity. It has been six months since we gave them a deposit in good faith with still no resolution.

    I was most impressed about the salesman that came out to talk to us about Champion's product. I liked the demonstration that he had in discussing the coatings on the window and his demonstration with using an hour of heat source on one side of the window. He brought out a couple other of their competitors' windows to demonstrate the better insulation properties of Champion's product. I felt like it was the best product that was out there out of the vendors that I looked at. It wasn't the cheapest product but I liked the build quality of the windows. I also liked the styling of the windows and some of the features and construction of the windows better.

    I got about 17 replacement windows and I was very happy with the quality of the work. The installation person was very professional and did a wonderful job. With that many windows, it took about three days to get all of them replaced. But he was thorough and walked me through everything that he would be doing. He also did a great job of cleaning up after he was finished. So far, we've noticed a slight reduction in our power bill so we're happy.

    I'm from Louisiana and we always saw Champion in Louisiana doing renovations or additions or windows. We saw them advertised here and we wanted to expand our back so we put a 512 square feet on the back of the house. The experience was great. It didn't take as long. It took longer waiting for the stuff to come. The concrete guys came and went and we didn't know when they were coming back. But other than that, everything else worked like a charm. Dan, my salesman, was fantastic. When I couldn't get through to the project manager, he got me a direct line to get through to him. The guy was there by himself with all the projects they had going on. They finally got him help which made communication and feedback a lot easier to get across.

    The two guys were fantastic and polite. It was a very nice process. We had a heck of a storm come through and they even made it where we could make sure we got the water out. Even though they had to redo a piece of the bottom plate, we were able to keep water from coming up into the house. I gave the gentleman a hit list and they came back. They hit it and there was no issues. They really did a great job in taking care of the little stuff that may have been considered nitpicking to some people. I saw some dimples on the roof and the guy came and caulked it. Some screws were missing and they came back and filled in. A piece of trim was a little bit too big and it would bow so he fixed that.

    They were great. I would give a 10 out of 10 to them. We referred them to a couple of other people that saw the place and liked it. That's how happy we are with it. I just got to ask somebody about the noises though. Sometimes you think a bird's flying into a window or like something landed on a roof. It sounds that loud.

    We thought we would give Champion a call and have them come out. When they did, everything sounded good and at the time, I already talked to a few people who had other companies come out and put in their windows. They were happy with their windows but the prices were a little more expensive. So it was the expense that led us to go with Champion and they put in three windows for us. We just bought the place and we couldn't afford any more than that. But the installation went really well. The man was very conscious about keeping our home clean, so he was putting down tarps all the way up the staircase and through our living room space to get to the window in the dining room.

    Other than that, we liked everybody who showed up to our house. We wanted to have their sales person over for dinner. That was how nice he was. It was the same with the guy who came and put the windows in. We don't know if we had a problem with the window, but something looked a little different on one window than the other two and they were right out to make sure that there wasn't anything wrong. So that was really nice, too. If anybody asks about going with Champion, I'd tell them to go for it.

    I saw what Champion Windows did with my neighbors. They had good experiences with them and the salesman was very informative. I wanted windows done and it seemed like the right time. Champion did the windows and the vinyl all around the windows. They also replaced some rotten wood. There were three guys and they did it in two days. They worked very hard, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves well. They were friendly and seemed like they knew what they were doing. They accidentally ripped one of the screens though. One of the pieces of vinyl hit the screen but the company sent somebody else to redo the screen. The quality is good and I'm happy. I would recommend Champion. It’s better than what I had.

    We did windows and doors with Champion and the techs were very meticulous on their detail work. Everything seemed to go fine except we were having a draft issue. We had them come back out and we just need to get past this issue. They came back to test for the draftiness and it was not a windy day. They were not seeing the problem. They didn’t have a way to test for efficiency even though they guarantee it for a lifetime. They told us that property owners pay private companies to do that efficiency test and so, I have a problem with their lifetime warranty and their wording. Still, we like the windows and I would recommend Champion.

    My daughter and son-in-law contacted Champion for windows and doors at their house. Then they asked the sales rep to come in and visit me. They did storm doors and a replacement window. I had also got a porch. It took a while but I understand with covid that you can't get supplies overnight. About three weeks ago, we had very strong winds. It blew the storm door on my front porch open and it bent the arms on the closers. The closers weren't working right. By the time I called them, it took over two weeks to get somebody here. With the wind, it was just hanging out there. I was afraid it was gonna tear off or break so I had to, over two weeks, put a rocking chair and kind of jam it where if the wind blew, it didn't bounce around. I also had a new rescue dog and when he heard that noise, he went crazy barking.

    I was a little disappointed on the long wait to get somebody to fix it. I live on the main drag that comes into our small town so everybody had probably seen that I had a door open for over two weeks. When they sent somebody, he didn't have closers to replace the ones on there. They didn't have closers in stock but Menards handles the same kind of door. He even said, "I'll run to Menards to see if I can get one." I have not heard anything back from them and it's been over a week. I am still waiting for them to return and install proper closers on my door. It closes now but I have to pull it shut. But overall, I'm very pleased with them. Their product is very good and the rep was fantastic. The installers were very courteous, nice and efficient in getting things done.

    Champion Windows built our sunroom several years ago. We liked what they did with it and so we went with them again for our windows. The rep was very professional and thorough. The installers were so fast. I thought the replacement would take a day or two. They got here in the morning and they were done by 2:00 in the afternoon after installing eight windows. They had plastic and so they didn't make a mess. They were careful where they stepped and after they were done, they cleaned up really well. The quality of the windows couldn't get any better. We had a problem with one which had an issue in the factory as it had a little hairline crack on the edge by the frame. It cracked all the way up but as soon as I notified the company, they had the window made and they replaced it.
