I had a great experience with Bath Fitter. I chose to go with them because of the price that they offered at the time, and I told them what I wanted to get done and I guess it was more convenient at the time.

I got a shower from them. Installation was great. You couldn’t find nobody better than those two installation guys. No matter how hard they worked, their attitude never changed. We got along great. It was outstanding: great service, great customer service, and the whole nine yards - great advertisement, great employee relation.

The concept is great - reasonable price, fast completion. The "look" is plastic but you can dress it up with nice floor tile and make it alright. So why am I so disappointed? It's because every time we asked them a question, they gave us a kind, courteous, knowledgeable answer that turned out to be completely misleading. They told us with certainty that we could tile over existing floor tile, and when we tried, no one would touch the job! The worst was the day they came to install the tub and shower wall. Several people at Bath Fitters told us we could install crown molding in advance and still have the Bath Fitter wall go floor to ceiling. The man came to install the Bath Fitter wall and said "no way!"

Now we're stuck with 3/4th BF wall and the rest we have to paint which is the look we definitely did not want. Two weeks later after we told them they could not use us for recommendation, they offered to have their guy come in and rip out our molding and try to fix the wall. But I am concerned that if they leave a mess, they already have my money, and if there is one thing this experience has taught me it is that I can count on them to mislead me. Like I said, it's a great concept. Why they have to be so unprofessional is really a shame. I have a second bathroom that needs to be redone and there is no way I would give BF any more of my money.

I would describe my experience with Bath Fitter as being the best decision we’ve made. We’ve been meaning to update our bathrooms for a while. At first, I thought maybe we could just put something over the existing tubs but we couldn’t because they were fiberglass. Lowe’s didn’t install tubs and I didn’t want a cast iron tub. And then we saw Bath Fitter on the television.

The guy who came to install was very professional and very courteous. He explained to me how I could come in at any time during the process and see what he was doing. He also did clean up after himself. They were on time, professional, and courteous. The shower looks wonderful and we had a great experience.

I just checked around and I guess the quickness in which Bath Fitter can get my bathroom put back together was why I picked them. I think they’re a professional place and they got a lot of good products. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t know how good they are.

The installation process was pretty good. They came out on a Saturday, which is unusual because they normally don’t come out on Saturday. And when they did the work, there were a couple of things that I wish they had done differently. But it’s okay because it turned out fine. Overall, I’m happy with it.

Bath Fitter was referred to us by people who used it before and were satisfied. So that’s why we chose them - reputation.

I think the quality of the product they put in is very good. I like that. July was when we started, but we were gone for three weeks. We had the shower ripped out. We’ve got a thermo heater so now we’re having doors put in. It isn’t completely finished yet because we’re waiting for the shower doors now.

The sales rep was able to answer questions and professional. Installation was done well. We had one delay because we wanted to have the window enclosed and they did not since they were sort of boxed in. There was something that was mis-measured, which I think was not good. We had two windows in it and we didn’t want to lose it. Sometimes, they go over and we didn’t want to do that because the bathroom’s not that big. In fairness to them, too, we initially couldn’t decide. I thought, “I don’t like the doors that much. You’ve had them in five houses.” And then I asked about a type of shower curtains. We said at one point that we were going to put a shower curtain in and then we didn’t put the doors they ordered.

Right now, I’m waiting because they’re supposed to put the doors in last week and they didn’t. The guy who would install the door got busy, and he said he’d call me but he hasn’t called yet. But overall, I think everything else was fine.

We got a tub which has a shower head in it. That’s the biggest reason we got it. We just bought a house and it needed a lot of remodeling. It had an old cast iron tub in there and it was in fine condition, but they had no shower in there and no way to put one in there. They just have some kind of craft board up there for the ceramics in the bathtub and I’m like if we use that at all, that’s never going to hold up. I saw on Bath Fitters the way they surrounded the tub and everything. And I thought, “Oh, my God, this is perfect because that can be the window too” so it really won me over. We went ahead and decided when the guy came that day that that’s what we wanted to do. But then we just had to wait a while because we waited until we got into the house because this is just our guest bathroom. It’s probably been about a month when they came and put it in.

It was wonderful. The guy came in and put it in and he was very, very nice and just did everything he could to make it what we wanted and everything. We were very pleased.

I’ve seen Bath Fitter’s office and went and inquired about their product. I liked it better than the other and it was less expensive. I bought the shower. The young man was very, very professional. I’m a retired installer myself so I know. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism. He was very good. I’m very, very satisfied except for one small detail. My wife is handicapped and they put in handicap grab bars which I understand all about them, but they’re chrome and they’re slippery. I went to the company and asked them to change them out. But I haven’t heard from them since. Of course, I know they’re moving in a location so I’m assuming they’re very, very busy tied up there. But I would sure like to ask them something done with the grab bars because they’re just not satisfactory. The chrome is slippery for her. She can’t hang on to them in the shower. And I would like to have them change that. So, less chrome and more of the grip surface on them.

A month ago we decided it’s time to remodel the bathroom and install a shower. We were going to do it ourselves then we thought maybe we’d better not. We don’t know that much about it. We saw a Bath Fitter advertisement or something so I thought we’ll have a Bath Fitter rep come in and tell us about it anyway. He might give us some ideas on what to do and how to do it. So we kind of just used him as a guinea pig, I guess, and try to do it ourselves. And then we decided it’s a little bigger job than we wanted to do. So we just went ahead and hired him. But I tore out the bathroom myself to save a little money. So we put him on hold for I think three weeks after we made the purchase. We told him we were ready and so they scheduled it for the following week. He came over and did it and he did great.

Bath Fitter did a wonderful job. In fact, it was a little bit of an unusual job because it was bigger than what they expected when they got here. But he suggested, “Let’s make it a little bigger. As long as it’s bigger, I think we can stretch it out another four inches.” I said, “That would be great.” So he was one man and he did all the work and I thought he did fantastic! A beautiful job after he got through! I couldn’t believe it! Very knowledgeable and they did a great job, well experienced, and answered every question, didn’t mind me asking, didn’t ask me, “Get the hell out of here and let me do my job.” I’d recommend Bath Fitter to anybody. FANTASTIC is probably the best word I could come up with what they’ve done.

We decided to remodel the bathroom and replace the shower. Our bathroom was getting a little older and the door wasn’t working at all. The sliding door was falling off the track all the time. I couldn’t do anything with it. So I figured I’d get it redone. And the shower isn’t working good, things like that. I saw Bath Fitter in the Yellow Pages or on the newspaper and called them. The sales rep was pretty knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The guy that put it in did a good job.

However, I got two problems with it. It’s a small shower and the doors, they overlap about four and a half inches. But I don’t have much room when you open it. I got to turn sideways to slide into the place. And I have called up about it and they said they were going to check into it but nothing ever happened so far. That was about a month ago. And I’m trying to take this door out and put a smaller one in or one without an overlap like that, maybe get a couple more inches in there. That and also, the switch on top of the shower that switches the shower over to the handheld shower, that’s way up on the top and it’s about six and a half feet up in the air. My wife can’t even reach it.

They said they could probably take care of that. They’d just bring the thing. But nobody ever got back to me on that. There’s only two items I have in here; otherwise, everything’s good on it. The job is always good. It’s just that those two items are something I didn’t anticipate, the narrow opening to get in and out of there and also the reaching of that switch up there. Other than that, it was a very good experience.

I’d say in a house like mine, it’s 20 years old, if I was going to have the shower changed or something like that, I would have them do it because it’s a neat job, insulated properly, the workmanship is fantastic, and all good quality equipment in it. And I’ve been in maintenance and so forth so I know a good job.

My husband has home therapy and the therapist that was working here said that she had been in homes where they had theirs done by BathFitter. And she just always thought that it was real good. And then when we had the man come out here to talk to us and he was telling us about the hospitals that they were doing, I kind of thought, “Well, if it’s good enough for hospitals, it’s good enough for us.”

So we had them install a shower about a month ago. It was only one man. My husband was a builder. And so he retired and he kept saying, “I can’t do it in one day.” And then when I look and here’s one man, we knew he couldn’t do it in one day, but he did do it in one day. It was very good. The only thing that upset me with them, my husband has some problems and the first time he was in it and we have someone that comes and bathes him and he slip down. And I was under the impression that you wouldn’t have that worry. That was one of the things I hated. You had to put down in your tub, and I didn’t want no more of that. And so then after that happened with him and I called BathFitter, they told me that it was like 340 some dollars for them to come back out here and fix it where it would be slide proof and you’d have to have it done every so many years, and that just kind of upset me. They said they’d never had that problem but a couple of times.

Nevertheless, the man that put it in, I would give him the best rating possible. He could not have been better than what he was. And he picked up everything, cleaned everything, was friendly, and did a very good job. He was tough. Everything was as good as it could be. As far as the look of it, it’s beautiful. And them saying about doing it for hospitals was a plus to me. If they were doing that, the hospital had to consider them pretty good.

I got in touch with Bath Fitter a month ago when I decided it was time to remodel the bathroom and I just like it to be installed in a day. We had a rough spot in the tub that we couldn’t replace anymore so we had to take it out. The salesman is awesome. The installer did a great job. I’m not sure if I’m 100% satisfied. The only problem is it came out shorter than it was supposed to be size-wise which I’m not really thrilled with. And some of the parts, the poles on the sliding doors are rusting already. We’ve only had it for three weeks or so. But we live at the beach and so that was one of my concerns.

Also, I don’t like the fact that I’ve got a nickel showerhead and everything. I had no idea. I thought I was getting like a brushed silver. I didn’t know it was going to be nickel. I’m a little disappointed with that. It would be nicer to have more options for the showerhead. And actually, that’s why I’m probably not going to proceed with the other bathroom as I’m not really sure with that showerhead and everything. It wasn’t the only choice that we have. But once it was installed, there’s not much you can do about it.

We had a whirlpool tub which was very high and it was difficult for him to get in and out. He wasn’t comfortable anymore and wanted to get rid of that and something that he could just walk right in. So we got our shower in August. We called maybe six weeks before that but it was done around August 8. We didn’t look at any other remodeling company. We saw Bath Fitter and called the representative. He came and showed us the pictures in his catalog and just went with that one.

He came on time and he did everything like he was supposed to. Left everything clean just like he was told. Overall it was wonderful!

We have had a shower stall installed in our en-suite a few years ago. The base of the shower cracked along the wall. Bath Fitter replaced it but told us our warranty ran out so we had to pay. Once we paid, we were then told that we now have a lifetime warranty! Well, not too long after, the base cracked again in the same spot. This time Bath Fitter replaced the flooring under the stall as well as putting in a new stall. Not two years into the new stall and it has cracked again in the same spot! We have called into Bath Fitter to come and see the cracks and talk about replacing the stall. It has been 4 months and we have not heard from Bath Fitter. Each time we call we are told that someone will call us back and no one does! Very poor customer service and product quality!!

This company did a good job and delivered as expected until something went wrong. The first time I went to use my new tub, my downstairs neighbor was flooded. So, I had to stop showering altogether. Since it was a Sunday, I left messages with several people at this company stating that it was an emergency and I needed them to fix it first thing Monday. I had to take a vacation day to wait for them and they did not bother to show up until 4:00. They promised to fix it the next day - ANOTHER VACATION DAY to accommodate their poor work. That isn't the worst part. Jim, the "manager", decided in a feat of unbelievable misogyny to offer me "a nice dinner on him" and handed me a business card instead of crediting me for the two days and all of the damage they caused. Do not use this business.

They were pretty quick and did it a day and a half. The sales rep even came back and did some double checking to make sure. He took pictures when he did it, and he came back and just embellished and took more pictures. And he came back after it’s completed to make sure I was satisfied. The experience was excellent and painless.

I wanted to get rid of one of those safety tubs that I had in the bathroom. That was my mother’s and it didn’t benefit us. It just wasn’t practical for us. In order to remove it, I wanted it done within a timely manner without so much restoration. Then I heard about Bath Fitter on the internet. I chose them because they’re advertising that they can do it usually in a day or two, the factor that I was looking for because I wanted a product that is able to be installed in a short length of time. And that’s what I wanted. Because I’ve done remodeling myself and it takes over a week to do it and it costs a lot more money.

I purchased the shower stall. It’s been about 3 weeks and this is my first Bath Fitter remodel. The sales rep did very well. They did a great job with explaining the product. As for the installation team, the guy knew what he was doing. He got in there and did his work and it took him about a day and a half to do it. They just did what they said they were going to do. And that’s the main thing with a lot of contracts, they say something and they don’t deliver.

We figured it all out in July. We did the thing over the tub and changed the shower and everything. It was a quick process once we decided to do it. They came and installed it three weeks ago. The sales rep came in and took an hour and a half to unload everything and tell us all the options, so it was really good. The installation guy was also good. I wasn’t at home during the day, so when I got home, he explained everything and everything that have been done with it. It was a good experience.

Once the sales person was back from vacation and reviewed the situation, he took care of everything. The results were better than we could have imagined. I believe had he not been away the situation would have been resolved much sooner. But once he was back he had the problem fixed and the results were better than what we had originally chosen and we were not charged anything more. We could not have been happier. A lesson learned for me was not to gripe too soon. If I had realized I could update my review I would have done it sooner. It was only when Consumer Affairs alerted me that my review was out there that I asked how could I update it. Everything was handled back in September of 2013.

    Original Review: Sept. 13, 2013

Bath Fitter was recommended by the person remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. We first contacted them in late July. The 3rd week in August was the first they could work us in. They quoted us $5,000 that included repairing a leak. They would remove the current acrylic tub and wall at the end of the tub and put up a short wall for the walk in. It is now September 13 and they still have not finished. They pushed back the first date 2 times. Once they arrived, they worked for 3 days. The door was wrong, the shower faucet was wrong finish, the hand held was wrong and was put on upside down. We have cold water for hot and hot water for cold. At the top of the shower, there is a one inch open gap in the ceiling. We were told they had ordered the correct door and the shower head and hand held with bar; however so far, we are still waiting and it has been over 2 weeks.

No one has stopped to fix the upside down handle for the water. We requested the sales person stop by or at least call. Nothing. We would never use this company again. Overpriced and lousy work and totally avoid contact. We have been patient but when there is no contact, it seems something has to be very wrong with this company in Erie, PA. We were told they were aware the door was wrong and that the hand held should have been hand held with the bar and shower head. But no one has been back to fix the ceiling or called. Lack of contact is very poor business in my opinion. On the positive side, the workers did provide a shower curtain so we can use the shower while waiting for the door. They were professional but the job is not complete.

My husband’s health was getting bad and we were thinking about possibly doing the walk-in shower. But then, he passed away and so we didn’t do it. But then my mother moved in with me and she’s 88. I was thinking I only have one bathroom and I didn’t know how safe it was. So I was thinking for her safety and I’m getting older, too, I was going to call Bath Fitter. I had gone to a craft show and the guy was there. So I signed up for them to call me.

They were fine. I thought they did an excellent job and I’m very satisfied with what I got. I thought it was good. I asked the guy what would be safe as for my mom because I had shower doors. And he said, “Well, it’s really better not to have shower doors.” I asked about getting a walk-in shower but he said that a good steel tub would be more sturdy. And my mom felt that with the grab bars, she could step over the tub and then it wouldn’t be a problem. So they helped us out that way. I’d say it was everything I expected it to be, so it was great.

He was very knowledgeable and very precise in his measurements. He was very patient in answering our questions; also, he did not attempt to pressure us into purchasing. He helped us pick out exactly what we wanted. Jim spent about two hours with us. Sixteen days later Randy ** arrived at our home at 8:20 AM for our installation (he left at 6:00 PM). He removed our modular unit and installed our new shower in a fine professional manner. He answered all of our questions and explained the use and care of our new shower. Randy cleaned up so well that one could not tell a complete renovation had taken place.

One week later Jim ** called us to make sure that we were completely satisfied, and said that if we had further questions or possibly have a problem to call him. I would actually rate Bath Fitter of Knoxville at 6 Stars if that were possible. Everyone that we dealt with was outstanding, the price was very fair for the work and quality materials used. If anyone in the Knoxville, TN area wants a reputable firm who will install an excellent product call Jim ** and you will purchase a Bath Fitter conversion and will be glad you did. My husband is blind. I had to have a walk-in shower. And a friend of ours had one, had a Bath Fitter and solid tub in her house. The sales group was fine. The installation was okay but we had problems, meaning I had to have a plumber up the next day because by jarring, they removed everything and the pipes and then, I guess, the drain pipes got clogged. And then I bought a new shower rod, put it up, and it would not stay up. So they came up and I had to buy a shower rod from Bath Fitter, put it up. And I couldn’t get any flow out of the main showerhead. And they took that off and said that it was sediment and things like that. Everything worked fine before Bath Fitter. I don’t know if it was just the jarring of the pipes and everything but I had to have that done. And it was just kind of a pain for a while. I would give them a 3.

And Bath Fitter had an advertisement in Southern Living and I saw the advertisement and I phoned them up. Actually, it probably was an ad in the Jacksonville Magazine. The experience was very good. The sales representative was very knowledgeable, made sure he had all the measurements correct, and the guy who fitted it was wonderful. He appeared at 9:00 and they were out by 4:00 as they’ve guaranteed. They took all their muck with them and did a superb job.

Take a look.” I was like, “Yes, I’ll go take a look at it.” That was a big mistake. It must have been $7,000.

The plumber arrived prior to installer, on time, worked fast and was gone in 30 minutes or so. Shortly thereafter the installer, Dominick, arrived. We were very satisfied with Dominick; he worked all day to do an expert job. It's showroom quality for sure! I would recommend Bath Fitter to everyone. From start to finish... excellent!

The lady I spoke with was very nice and recommend that we go see the showroom for ourselves. We were greeted at the door by a very nice young man who answered all our questions and showed us around very patiently. While we were there we set up a time for the estimator to come to our home. After purchase we were called within a couple weeks to schedule our installation. Mr. Don came to our home and treated it like it was his own while he was working. He covered up all areas and left no mess what so ever. Since then we have received a call just checking on us and how we are enjoying our shower. I can not recommend Bath Fitter enough. Everyone was very polite and professional. We have showed all our guest our new shower, and hope to one day have our second Bathroom done by them also.

To make a long story short. I called 11/12 regarding a crack in my tub. I was not able to locate my original paper work at that time. When the service guy came out he told me that unfortunately the Lifetime Warranty had started shortly after I had gotten my tub. I asked him to please call his Manager and see if there was anything they could do since the time frame was so close. He said that my tub could not be fixed but they would replace it and not charge me the labor. The estimate was $1,500. I said I could not afford, so he did nothing.

Fast forward to June 2013. I was going through boxes and found my Bath Fitter paper work. I in fact did have the Life Time Warranty. I called and asked for the Manager (**) and told him my story. I sent a copy of my Life Time Warranty over to him. It took ** from Monday to Thursday to say he was coming out to look at my tub. ** came to my home that Friday, looked at my tub and said he would arrange to have a person repair it. I asked ** why that was not suggested back in November when I was told the only solution would be to replace? I also pointed out that when you stand in the tub, it is squishy from water getting in. ** told me it was tiny little holes in the caulking. After much arguing back and forth, I finally agreed to have the tub repaired.

Fast forward to 3 weeks later. The repair guy came out and tried (2) different methods to repair the tub with no luck. He told me he was going to let the office know that it could not be repaired. On Monday, ** called me and asked me how I like the repair of my tub. I stated that I did not understand why he asked that because it was not repaired. His reply was "Oh that's right, you were not satisfied."

This company discriminates against women and treats us like we are stupid. ** only cares about the bottom line $ and not about customer service. I was happy with the service guy which was the same one that did the replacement. There are other companies that can do remodel jobs out there. Bath Fitter does not really save you any money at the end of the day. Save yourself some frustration and Don't use them!

I made my remodel to refit my second bathroom so that it would be more accessible to my mom who was coming to visit and is handicapped. I had a regular tub/shower arrangement and I wanted a walk-in shower arrangement. I had heard that they did bathrooms at the rectory and I asked them who they used and someone who found out for me says they had used Bath Fitters. So that's how I came to call Bath Fitter to begin with. It was right about the first of May. Interaction with the sales rep went very well. The team was one guy and he was great and a little frustrated with waiting on the inspection folks to come to the city of Greensboro so that they can move past the first bit and finish. He's used to finishing everything in one day and it didn't work out that way because we sat around waiting for this inspection guy to show up.

Once I had talked to sales guy and heard of the background on all they have achieved in the way of recognition I thought that was a good choice. Bath Fitter was very informative in the purchase decision and the execution of their remodel was everything I hoped it would be.

I had just a tub. That was installed in early May. The sales rep was very good. I'm not sure that everything went perfectly with the installation. It's an old house from maybe the 1940s and it doesn't have particularly level floors and straight walls and stuff like that. So I was a little concerned about the meeting places where the tub would meet the floor and so on and I was kind of assured that ''Oh, this uses this wonderful cock and you'll never have anymore leakage.'' Because I have had leaking from the upstairs apartment to the downstairs apartment and that was what I was trying to solve.

I had done another apartment with a plumber where I had him clear out the old tub and put in a new tub and put in a new wall and all. I wasn't satisfied with the quality of that work. It just didn't look very great when they were done. Although I must say it did solve the plumbing issue that I was looking to solve in that bathroom, it was expensive and it didn't end up looking nice. Where I saw the Bath Fitter, it looked really good and so I thought that would be the better way to go. I had plenty of time to do it and this was sort of a quick changeover. I had a week to get those guys in and out. So it seemed like the expedient way of doing it.

But I've just been notified by the guy downstairs that the problem still exists. I'm not angry because I really haven't taken further action on it. He's getting water from above and so I need to solve that problem. To be honest, I didn't get the feeling from the expertise of the guy that installed it that Bath Fitter was going to be in a position to resolve that problem and I thought ''Oh, this is now my problem to solve. I tried Bath Fitter and it didn't work and now I got to go do something else.'' I guess I have not given it a lot of thought although I should be working on it because that's not good thing if he's getting water down dripping down from time to time. So I should be working on it and yet I wasn't sure of my next step.

I mean one thing that was sort of troubling to me was in talking to the installer, I didn't have the feeling that there was much of a group of them. It was like three guys did all the installing and I didn't see where there was a team that would sort of- like if you had a problem to fix later on, who would address that issue. I tell you the jury is still out on that one. I didn't solve the problem that I was trying to solve but I haven't told them that yet so I'm not exactly sure.

We had an original bath shower that came with the house when we bought it like 30 years ago, so it's time for a remodel. And then a friend of ours had something done by Bath Fitter, like a tub surround or something, so that's kind of how I thought about phoning them. So in May, we had our first remodel with Bath Fitter. It was a new shower, like the one that was put on top of the old. It was just a small shower.

The lady that came to talk about it and showed us the supplies and stuff was very good. The installer was very good too. I felt that he respected our house, coming in and out. He also cleaned up after. The only thing now is the floor has come away from the old base. A technician came yesterday and they're going to have to cut it out, I think the bottom of the new floor. Another one is making a squishing sound like there's glue or water that's gotten in there. I wasn't happy with that because he didn't know what happened. He just said that they had the technician come and look at it yesterday. I phoned yesterday morning and they came at 2.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the service quality and I like the lifetime warranty. The guy said they have done this kind of repair before. I was kind of wondering about that because now it's sort of a little higher. I'm just wondering how secure it was going to be.

Well, we did talk a little bit about it and some of them (other companies), we didn't like the fact that they fitted over existing pieces. Actually, I was at work the day they came over to measure and do everything. Nobody called to confirm installation. I took it upon myself to check since I requested time off from work. On the day of the installation, the installer called at 9am to say that he's picking up the shipment from Canada. I sincerely doubt that. I am sure a company does not sit and wait for a tub to be delivered on the day of the delivery. Since it's a standard size and gets cut around and fit/shaped on the premises. Installer put up some fuss over the old popcorn ceiling I had in the bathroom, but after a quick call to the company and my "take it all back" approach, I was able to clear the old ceiling in 5 mins, since it was nothing but dust anyway and came down with a swipe. In all fairness, the installer and his assistant were courteous after the initial bump and were very apologetic the entire day. They were clean, efficient, respectful of my home and could not be nicer or more professional for which I gave them a very generous gratuity.

Visually, the difference in the bathroom is day and night. I was giddy with happiness looking at the new bathtub and walls. It really is very, very nice. In the morning, I called the company to ask them to send the installer back for some very minor adjustments - the soap dish and some other seams had small gaps in the silicone. The installer called me right away, but I was not able to meet him on the day that it was convenient for him. I have not heard from them since. That was 2 months ago to the day. It's okay, I am sure they would love to see me in small claims Court. In hindsight, I would not do it again. Yes, it' clean and new and it's PLASTIC that behaves like plastic. Two days later, the bathtub is groaning and flexing and " kicks back" when you step out of it.

Don't be fooled that it is easy maintenance. The selling point is that it is one piece and unlike grout does not grow mold. It is most certainly not one piece, the wall, tub and ceiling are connected by silicone the very same way grout does. Unlike grout that lasts for years, silicone turns pink from mildew and requires attention on a daily basis, religiously. It remains soft so in order not to have to scrub it, I have to clean it daily. So here is the truth. And the claim that the NY LI based office is the best in the nation is nothing but hot air. It is a proven fact that there are no crooks on Long Island. Bottom line, if you can afford to be a little patient, get a real bathtub and ceramic tiles!

Well, I had had an experience with another company, and I called them out and they showed me what they had to offer. And then I did a survey with Bath Fitters by way of BJ's. One of the associates down at BJ's had some information for Bath Fitters to come by. So then we engaged in a conversation with Bath Fitters, talked about the various bathrooms, and the most comfortable fit for us for perhaps the next five or six years was the work that we got done.

We did a reline of our existing tub. We didn't make any change in size of the deck and the plumbing to hook everything up. And we bought our own sink and they all took care of the towel holders, vanity desk, caulking, sealing, and putting up the new sides and everything. Beautiful job. Just very out there like it was very expensive, but it's a beautiful job. They did an excellent job of cleaning up, making recommendations for future adjustments that I might want to make to my bathroom and giving me ideas of persons that might take care of the things I need. I am very pleased.

We just had one little problem. The towel holder on the wall, one of them, the sealing needs to be resealed because it is cracking and beginning to come loose on the wall. I have also noticed that, I don't know whether the water is staying in my handheld shower sprayer or what is happening there, but this is something I need to address to them anyway. But as far as their customer service, they were willing and able to come out when I called them about some of that work that I felt like needed to be redone. They did a great job in coming out and showing me that if anything else came up, they'd be glad to take care of it pertaining to their installation work. The installers were extremely courteous and kind, very professional, and dressed in an appropriate manner for doing the type of work that they do - both the helper and the lead installer. Well done!

I would give them a 5+, and I have recommended them to two other people. I don't know whether they contacted them.

Well, we've wanted to remodel and I guess we've seen ads. Then we saw the booth and talked to the people about a year ago in a home show in Greensboro. They were nice people and we pretty much knew after we figured out what they could do. The salesman came by at 5 o'clock on Good Friday and he was willing to meet us then. He did that and we told him what we wanted. He started doing sales pitch and we told him, 'Don't worry about it. Here's what we want.' And so it took him no time at all when he got a price that we mutually agreed upon. And I mean it took all of maybe an hour at the most. It was quick and easy and they took the money upfront, so we were all happy.

We purchased a shower and we did the whole thing - seats, grab bars. The young man was wonderful, just amazing. I have done that kind of work in the past, remodeling and that kind of stuff, and he had his ducks in a row and didn't need any help, didn't want any help. He knew what he was doing. He was great. Very good. That was about two months ago - 60 days ago. We already have recommended them to others.

Estimate and sales service was great - professional and clear. Installer was nice, professional, neat and timely. There are only 2 problems. Color (ivory marble) was not the same as the sample brought to house. Actual install of that was much deeper in color (very yellowish) which made me change the color for the last/3rd bathroom (clash problem). The install of the first bathroom at the section by the faucets began to bow out (convex in appearance) shortly after the install. The installer came back promptly to fix (by "bracing") but within 2 days, it bowed out again; He came back yesterday (re-glue and re-brace - I think; I wasn't home, my son was) and we will see how that turns out/works. I hope it does!

My initial contact with Bath Fitter was a result of a TV commercial I saw in March of 2008. My existing ceramic tile wall was becoming a nuisance. My wife and I tried everything to seal the grout but still were experiencing leaks and mold. The idea of having a "seamless" wall installed seemed like the most logical solution to this never-ending problem. The sales representative came to our home on time and was extremely helpful in explaining not only the Bath Fitter product, but also other methods for trying to fix our problem. Again, it was the seamless wall along with the lifetime guarantee that sealed the deal for us. After signing us up, I began to inquire about employment opportunities with Bath Fitter. The sales representative was again very helpful in describing what his job encompassed.

After the installation and having time to reflect on my entire experience with Bath Fitter, I discussed with my wife my interest in working for this company. Being employed as a salary employee for the majority of my life made it somewhat "scary", to say the least, taking an all commission position. Entering my sixth year as a sales representative, I realize that I made the best choice of my professional career. I know for a fact that I would not have been able to make close to the money I make now. What a wonderful product and company I'm able to present to potential customers everyday!!!

My husband and I recently were at the Earth Fair held in Smithville Park, Eastampton TWP, NJ where we stopped to look at a Bath Fitter display. We had some interest in replacing our current tub with a shower and were told we could have an estimate. It would be good for a year and we got a 10% off coupon. The salesman that came to our house was fine and pleasant UNTIL we said we were not signing up for it that day. Really, who would on the spot decide to do an expensive replacement right then and there? We don't.

At the moment we said we would have to think about it, the salesman became rude and offensive. They would not be sending anyone out again because it cost too much money and his territory was too big for return visits. He attempted to bully us into it, shame us into it and embarrass us into it. Even though we both thought at a point during the demonstration/sales pitch that we would probably get it, we now will NEVER consider using a company that treat potential customers that way.

I purchased the tub from Bath Fitter about a month ago. I had heard about them some time ago and went to a home fair in New Hampshire and talked to the rep there and decided to go ahead. I was just impressed with the quality, the workmanship, the courteousness of the staff and the knowledge. It was just a Class A experience all the way around. The quality overall was excellent. The thing that I like the most is the pull on water faucet. I can preset the temperature and just pull it and it comes on with the temperature you want, how hot you want it... Then I got a shower curtain rod which is bow shaped so that it actually gives you a lot more elbow room in the shower. I chose Bath Fitter for the value and life-time warranty. They are top-rate and first class and I have already recommended it to friends of mine.

I got a tub liner from Bath Fitter because ripping out the tub and replacing it was not an option. I bought my house in 2010, and the prior owner had replaced the bathroom tiles around the tub and the tile floor, so those were (and still are) in great condition. However, he did not replace the cast iron tub that has probably been in this house since the 50’s. The tub started getting rust stains, and then the finish started peeling off. I got the tub refinished (total waste of money because that lasted about a month before chipping away).

I decided that a liner like Bath Fitter would be a permanent solution because of the lifetime guarantee. The salesman came and he was nice but offered me a price only if I signed and put a deposit that day. I generally don't respond well to that type of sales pitch, but I knew I had 3 days to cancel so I signed up. Six weeks later, the installer was here on time and was done in about an hour and a half. He left tiny white flakes all over my floor throughout the bathroom and hallway. Whatever, a small annoyance but not a big deal. He definitely was not the first or last contractor in my house that didn't clean after himself. I thought the tub looked great and was very excited to have a nice new tub.

Well, this tub is not easy to clean, it looked filthy in about 3 days and the non-slip coating is difficult to clean. Then exactly one week after the installation, I noticed water dripping down into the first floor ceiling. The ceiling happened to be open due to some hurricane sandy damage, so the plumping is exposed and I could see the drips. It's not a big leak, but if my downstairs ceiling was not open I would not have noticed it. It would have leaked for who knows how long, building up inside the ceiling and eventually soaking the insulation and Sheetrock. Since I can see through the ceiling up into the plumbing and the bottom of the cast iron tub, I can see it leaking at the corner where the liner is not sealed correctly. This is unacceptable after only one week. They are coming to take a look at what the issue is. Hopefully, I can update this review to say they fixed the problem. Regardless of if they fix it, it should not be leaking after only a week.

Spoke to a home remodeler, who was totally resistant to the idea due to the bathroom window he did not want to deal with. At an RV show, I saw a Bath Fitter booth with models and arranged for in-home visit, and bid with no obligation. I liked the estimator's no pressure approach. I liked having choices of colors, textures, fixtures with real samples available. I liked receiving the actual price estimate immediately. I liked having the option to cancel if I changed my mind.

The entire project took a day and a half and was totally non-intrusive. The installer was professional, thorough and a hard worker, who obviously took pride in the quality of his work. The bathroom window remains with a beautiful "wrap" that blends with the entire unit very nicely. He cleaned up as he worked and left absolutely with no mess. He was focused on the job and prepared for some small issues that arose, causing no delays. The entire experience was totally positive and we were enjoying the new walk-in shower within 24 hours. I did not enclose pictures because Bath Fitter's pamphlets show displays that I can verify don't lie. What you see is what you get and I would highly recommend them.

I couldn't believe my eyes: $3,700 for the job, and I didn't even get new copper pipes. I called the salesman and he denied the whole thing. The manager wouldn't return my call. Then we just happened to be at a home show and we saw Bath Fitter. My husband was interested in that. We talked to someone and got a catalogue and that's how they came out. They put in a tub that has a shower in it 2 months ago. They were very professional and did a great job... one day!

They cleaned the bathroom themselves. And I just wanted to take a look at it and there was one little space. I wanted them to do something and they did that. There was one little issue - they couldn't put in the shower rod 'cause it's kinda odd the way the ceiling goes. The rod that we wanted we couldn't put in, but it was not a problem. So he came back the next day with the proper one to install, and it was fine.

Even at the end of the installation, I went in to see the whole thing and I said, ''Okay, there's something I bet you don't even have. I have to know how to get it.'' I know he gave me a list of the cleaners that I could use. He said, ''I have it right here.'' It's in a folder with Bath Fitter's label on it, and I was like ''I love you!''
