    I recently posted a negative review on Bath Planet. Representatives from BP responded quickly and came to our home to rectify & explain all our concerns. It appears that some of our negative reviews were unjustified given our lack of knowledge of shower installations. This experience with BP's reps coming to our home, their explanations of our shower install, and their deep concern to customer satisfaction has compelled us to have BP do more work for us. With this said, I do recommend BP and apologize for my earlier review.

    The installers of our new BP shower were super nice guys. With that said, when I phoned BP to ask a question during installation, one of the owners spoke to me in a pompous & arrogant manner. He talked down & over me the entire time. I was offended when he asked me what I did for a living in a condescending voice and let me know that he was "one of the owners". Two of the shower shelves are not square, off by 1/4" to the faux grout lines on opposite walls.

    We also phoned 2 wks. later as to the cheap faucet BP installed and have not heard back from them. In all, we spent $8200 for a shower install that is probably worth a lot less. We are not pleased with the quality of the faucet. Also, the salesperson's version of installation & customer satisfaction was not what we experienced during or after completion. My suggestion to anyone contemplating a new shower install is to shop around. These installs are extremely overpriced for what the customer receives in product & customer service.

    The sales person from Bath Planet was very good and knowledgeable. He told us what they would do and when they came out, they did what they promised and it turned out beautiful. They did an excellent job delivering the product. We got a shower wherein they had to take a wall out then put a glass in and they did an awesome job.

    I purchased the bathroom with the shower at Bath Planet. The floor needed replacement and they installed the shower. They told us the cost and what they were gonna do to replace. The project took 5 days to complete and the installation was good. The quality of the bathtub is just what we wanted. They did a good job and we’re satisfied with what they did.

    They refused to recontact me. They're refusing to complete the job and are claiming that the job was complete even though there are sharp edges around the pony wall that are dangers and the shower head extension was the wrong color. I'm extremely disappointed that they have not contacted me. I've tried several times to phone them. They admitted that the parts that they said were the wrong type and color and even noted that the part that they should have sent was on in the contract that was never sent.

    I've contacted the financing company because They paid Bath Planet the whole amount and now they're refusing to return to fix the problems with the shower. I have tried contacting Bath Planet multiple times and I'm now in contact with the finance company because they lied to the finance company and said that they completed the job. I'm hoping that this will help others if they choose Bath Planet because I am extremely disappointed in the work.

    I had an urgent issue that I needed to get resolved in my new home. I did an internet search, and after talking to several companies, I was really drawn in with the longevity of Bath Planet as a company, the lifetime guarantee on it and the workmanship. We did two bathrooms. And we did one towards the end of 2017 and one in January 2018. We didn't have a bathtub so we did the shower, the walls, the ceiling, floor pan and new plumbing. It was a shower replacement. They customized to fit my space and then I could choose from a variety of options from their materials that I selected from.

    Bath Planet's sales rep, John, was good. We talked first on the phone and then he came out to the house. He spent an hour and a half to two hours with us going over options and the price, and I think we got a good price. He gave us a proposal with the price on it and I was in a little bit of a hurry. So, we thought about it and then I called him to kind of kick things off. And then it turned out that I needed to meet with him before we could get the thing going because apparently, I had to sign some contracts. So, I was surprised by that.

    And then, there was a small deposit required and he said it was X amount of money. So, we met at my office, went through all the paperwork and then I pulled out a credit card. And he said if I used a credit card, he had to charge me another 5% or whatever the number was for processing the credit card. And I told him I was not going to sign that day then because I'd have to get cash and he'd have to come back. He ended up waiving that and allowing me to use the credit card without having to pay the extra. I paid him cash for the completion of the job, but I thought getting started with the process was a little awkward.

    The installation was good. The crew came, and they were very polite and diligent. I know how sometimes these jobs go. You start to tear something apart and you find an issue that has to be resolved. I had a prior experience, not with Bath Planet but with another company. One of the things that I had specified upfront with John before I signed the sales agreement was we were going to get into this job and they might find something, but I was not going to pay any additional money unless he and I agreed in writing in advance of the money being kind of committed. I didn't want to find out at the end of the job, "Hey, your bathroom cost $8,000 but they had to do all those things. Now, it's $9,000.'" I said, "No surprises." I had a situation with an attorney that gotten ugly from that.

    So, I told John, "I just want to pencil that into the agreement that I'm unassigned that any additional charges have to be agreed to in writing." And he said it was not how they operate and I didn't need to worry about that. He wasn't there on the job. The installers started doing the work and they found a little bit of something. I had some rotten pieces of wood. And the guy said he got to fix it. I told him not to run up the bill without us having an agreement. So, he told me he was going to call John and get everything straightened out.

    So, evidently, he called John and he came back and he got everything done, did a little fix in this and that and the other thing. And then the job ran into day two. And then when day two came around and the job was finished, they wanted to charge me $350 for the repair that the guy had to do for the rotted wood. So, I told the installer what happened and he said, "Look, I'm going to just let you and John work this out. I don't want to get in the middle of it." We got a callback from John and so then we had already had agreed on a price to do the second bathroom. So, several months later the guys came to do the second bathroom. And they did that. There was nothing extra and it went straight. The second bathroom was like $4500 and so, I had exactly that amount of cash. So, I didn't have to pay the 5% handling fee on the credit card. And I had a different installer.

    When he finished up, he said, "Okay. It's X amount of money." So, it was the cost of the second bathroom plus the 350 bucks again. And I told him I didn't sign an agreement for the $350 and that wasn't negotiated in advance and I was not going to pay it. He then called the owner and the owner and I had a conversation. And I explained it to him and the owner was really nice. And he said, "Okay, I get it. I'll honor that. And we won't charge you for it, etcetera." So, at the end of the day, I didn't have to pay up. They did the right thing by following what they agreed to do in the end.

    I purchased the shower and the glass window from Bath Planet in January. They installed pretty fast and I'm happy with the quality. However, I was disappointed a little bit with the guy that installed the glass window part. But that’s a subcontractor guy. It was good as far as the product. We enjoy it.

    We had a couple of people come but the rep from Bath Planet's presentation spoke to us a little bit better. It just sounded like the quality of the product might be a little better than the other company. However the guy didn’t replace the old toilet so we suffered from toilet leaks and sink leaks for a couple of weeks afterward. But they’ve come out, replaced the product, and cleared up the leaks. They were responsive about that. Also, they put in the soap dishes at the wrong end. That isn’t the way we decided to have them. And I’m semi-invalid so I couldn’t reach them. Then they said that they would put another set on the other side and we’re still waiting for it after all this time. We’re hoping it’s going to come through because I really like the soap dish since I have to sit on a stool to bathe. Overall their work looks good. We’d recommend them.

    Several months ago, a salesman who came to see us convinced us that Bath Planet was a superior quality product. So, we went with their company. Since then, everything has been fine. However, there was a customer service episode that was not great. I've gone over the details of everything that we needed in the shower with the salesman, Craig. One of the main features we needed was a detachable hose and shower head. It was specifically for my child who is handicapped and can't move. He sits on a bath chair and has to be showered with a hose detachment. However, when everything was finished, we ended up with a stationary shower head. I called the salesman to ask about that and he was very aggressive and rude. He was trying to tell me that was what we ordered and agreed upon and that all the stuff matched a quote from Bath Planet.

    However, what he did was not side-by-side matched. Bath Planet had matched the finish but brushed nickel was the existing finish and Craig marked off chrome instead. So, he didn't pay attention to detail but was upset and was saying that they matched it exactly. The whole point of the shower was to make it accessible for a handicapped child and a stationary shower head defeated that purpose. It was not very great customer service.

    So, I wrote an email to the owner and he stepped in. He made it right to send someone else out to put in the correct head and finish. He really made sure that we were satisfied with the product. It's a shame that the other conversation with Craig even happened because we went with the company because of him and he was totally stellar up to that point. Nevertheless, we have the right thing in our bath now. But, people who use the services of Bath Planet should check everything and make sure everyone is on the same page. Still, the workmanship is good and the owner made it right in the end.

    We purchased a walk-in shower from Blue Planet in the last three months. We have already worked with the parent company before, Miller Home Renovations, and we were very happy with the work that we had them with their company. They had what we wanted. Their sales representative, however, was not their strongest point. While he was very informational, in some ways, he seemed a little pushy to me. We had already made up our mind that this was what we wanted to do, and I don’t think he was the best sales representative I’ve ever had come to my home. Nevertheless, the installation team was exceptional. They ran into some problems with our plumbing -- it didn’t match what they had, but they took care of it. It just went very, very well. It took them longer than they expected which was not their fault. They were right there, kept everything clean and tidy, and were just were very polite.

    I first found out about Bath Planet through a Google search for shower renovations, and the actual remodeler Miller Renovations came out and sold themselves pretty well. I purchased a shower in December and they installed in February. We had some odd dimensions and I wanted to incorporate a window, and they were able to do that. However, there's a couple of minor things that I'm not sure how I feel about yet. The bench ended up being put in an awkward spot. Also, some of the fixtures don't seem sturdy, and I don't know if it's just because it's an acrylic shower. But the installers were nice, clean and as quiet as possible.

    We did a lot of travel last year and on one of the trips back from somewhere we went to the home show early October. And they came by in November and I remember getting a call from a guy. He said they can squeeze us into the schedule and I go, "Don't worry about squeezing us in because we're not on a deadline." They were trying to do things before the year ends and get the customers happy.

    They started working early January. There was one delay because something was missing. And so they said, 'You got a little delay." But they got that corrected and everything was okay. My wife was happy about the sales rep and as her husband that was a good thing. Our interaction was all good as we filled out the forms and understood the loan process.

    When they first showed up they attempted to do stuff and then had everything done within a short time period. The one mistake was making sure water is off. There was a little bit of water and I had to run down and turn it off. After that we knew we had a leak in that area and they've taken care of that. They've worked really good in getting the tub in and putting the bar in the right height. The product is good. They have good people to work with and they are very fast. We had Sears come in and look but they were going to do the whole thing and it was a lot of money. It's a good value purchase depending on how much people are willing to pay.

    After waiting for almost two months for them to come do our shower, and three weeks to install it, we got a shower that I can hardly move, and doesn’t even cover the space that the previous shower covered. The purpose of having the new shower installed was to have a bigger shower. Now we have one that we can hardly move in. Besides that, it’s a cheap piece of plastics with flimsy doors, that look cheap. They don’t want to take any responsibility for not noticing that the person they were building a shower for is 6 foot 2 inches and 250 lbs. It seem that a person selling the product, and says he’s been doing it for 10 Years would know better, or not be considered a professional. I know in my business, I have to be responsible enough to notice that you can’t put 250 lbs in a 100 lb box. Now we have an unusable shower and are out $7k.

    Bath Planet completely remodeled our bathroom. They took out the old bathtub and shower, and they remodeled it with an upgraded shower. It's wonderful. We love it. The guys were so professional and nice. They showed up when they said they were gonna show up. They estimated the hours to do the job and it was done exactly when they told us. They were super conscious of being clean and neat. They kept their tools over to the side and down the hall, so people could still pass. They had to shatter the old iron tub in there and everything was cleaned up, and they hauled it away. When it started raining, they were conscious of laying down a protection on the carpet. We were just so happy with their work. Also, they made us aware that we could call them if there was any concerns. I would highly recommend Bath Planet. We have three other bathrooms, and we're hoping to use them again.

    The Bath Planet sales rep brought a book and he showed us our different options. There were quite a few options and we were having trouble making a decision but he was able to tell us what other people have done. I liked the choices that we had and it seemed like the product and the work was gonna be better than some of the other remodeling companies we saw. It was more solid and not as flimsy to us. And the sales rep was really helpful in helping us make a decision. They gave us a good price, especially because we were having two bathrooms done at the same time. He told us right up front what the total cost would be and when we were done there were no surprises.

    We did the walk-in shower, floor, and I had the shelves so that it came up and covered part of the ceiling where the shower was. My husband had his bathroom done as well. Also, we purchased a toilet and a vanity top and they were able to accommodate us. They put those in for us which I like and they took into consideration the workspace that we had. The installation team was excellent. They were very good about not tracking anything and always laid down drop cloths. And anytime they had a question about the placement of something or how something was gonna go, they come in to ask us. One guy had a trouble with one of the faucets and it was the toilet that leaked or something. They left it for a day and put a rag down. The next day, they came back and it’s still leaking so they went and purchased something to fix it. We never had any problems when they were done and we were very happy with what they did.

    The finished product was excellent. It has made a huge difference in our safety getting in and out as we’re getting older. We like the idea that we could either leave the showerhead up hanging on the wall or we can take it down and move around. And we like that we can preset the temperature so that every time we get in, we don’t have to adjust the water. We can set in at a certain temperature. Also, it looks nice and we really like how easy it was to clean and not to have to use any harsh chemicals. We just use vinegar water to spray on. My sister was here from out of town and she took a shower and she thought it was wonderful and she enjoyed it.

    We had been talking about starting some remodeling in our bathroom. Bath Planet did a pretty good job of explaining the process of what they would do in that. Bobby came over, had the samples, went through the process, and how they would work. He stepped us through and asked us what we wanted to use and any other options. He did a good job. We got a shower and since we’re older, we had a grab bar put in right away, customized the shelves in the shower, and picked out the doors and stuff that we wanted.

    They put in one small shower unit up in a small bathroom and in the master bathroom, it was a regular-sized shower. Everything was done and cleaned up in a day but the door for the smaller shower had not arrived yet. They had to come back and put it on a week or so later. The crew that came in were very professional and they put pads down. They made the extra effort so there was no mess or dust in the house. We liked the fact that other than just going over the top, they took it down to the studs and completely redid it and the pricing was a good value. It took a little bit longer from the time that we ordered it to when the original date was for having it installed, but it wasn’t anything that was concerning. The process was pretty straightforward and Bobby laid it out exactly so we knew exactly the whole bit. I would recommend them.

    We were looking for a company that could get our bathroom remodel done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. We had Bath Planet remodel two bathrooms late last year, the week after Christmas. I had the tubs removed and I had the shower pans, shower surrounds, new plumbing, and new faucets put in. The sales guy was there at the beginning, but I never talked to him again after we made the deal. The installer was phenomenal. He was an excellent guy and I'd recommend him to anybody that I deal with. Everything works perfectly and I've put my own shower door in. I'd tell people that the quality of Bath Planet's bathroom remodel is fantastic and it looks wonderful when it's done. But it's expensive, so be ready for the cost. Nonetheless, it was a good experience that I had with Bath Planet and I appreciate it.

However, he said it was a one-day install but it was actually a two-day because of where I live. And that would have been nice to know. But the installation team was good.

    Salesperson was very informed with a wonderful gift of gab that led me to believe that I was making a wonderful decision to go with SHO-PRO. Half of the money for the job was given to the salesperson and I was told that a gentleman would call shortly to come and make exact measurements of the shower area. I am handicapped and was told that I would be put at the top of the list and a rush to completion would be at hand. Measurements took place almost a week later and no idea of a completion date! I have called SHO-PRO and HomeBase and Bath Planet and was told that their products are made to order, so nothing resolved! I feel taken advantage of. I was called by the measurement gentleman and told that they wanted to make sure that what I ordered was what they will install. I hope that I have been very wrong about this whole ordeal!!

    Updated on 03/26/2018: I placed a complaint over a week ago complaining that Sho Pro in Indianapolis, Indiana had sent a salesman out to show me shower options and that he took a deposit of half the cost of the job, which was to be over $10,000. When the sales rep said that their installer would call to set up a time for a complete measurements, it took a week before I ever heard from them. When the installer came out, he told me a totally different shower than what I thought I was getting and he said he could do a barrier free shower and he gave me a check for my deposit back (I am guessing because I gave them a 2 out of 5 rating).

    Another 3 more business days passed and I called Sho Pro today and the installer, Chris, told me that Sho Pro was afraid that since I was not a hospital with a drain the in the middle of the bathroom floor, that they were afraid that down the road I would have problems in the floor joists and leakage and that they were not going to be able to do the job. I asked why he didn't tell me that when he handed me a check last Wednesday and he didn't quite know what to say! I am completely shocked by Sho Pro! Now, two and a half weeks later, I now have to begin again and I am handicapped and have a most difficult time getting in and out of my shower. :(

    A friend of my sister has had their bathroom redone with Bath Planet and we were very impressed with the finished product, and she knew that we were looking at redoing our bathroom. I was in the process of getting quotes and I gave Bath Planet a try, and they came in way more competitive than any of the other contractors in the area we looked at for what we wanted. Our house was built in the '50s and it had ugly pink tile on every possible surface it could, a pink tub, and a pink toilet. It was an ugly bathroom and it wasn't working. Also, in the last year, I've had joint issues. So, climbing in and out of the bathtub to take a shower was getting hard. So, we had the bathtub taken out and a shower pan and a shower enclosure put in. We had the acrylic board put over the tile, and we had them put in a new toilet, new vanity, new medicine cabinet and new flooring.

    Bath Planet's sales rep did great. He was very honest, he showed up on time, and was very thorough. He walked us through what was possible, what wasn't possible, and every possible option as far as what tile to use, what color, and which linoleum to put on the floor. The installers were amazing. A young man by the name of John came in for the first day and a half and did all of the bathtub removal and he put in the shower enclosure. There was not one speck of dust to be cleaned up when he left. He was very personable and very respectful of our home and of our time. He showed up on time. He was supposed to have a trainee with him and the trainee left, and it didn't even faze him. He just kept going and kept working, and did a phenomenal job. Everything was perfect.

    I would recommend Bath Planet to anybody. We had Bath Fitter come out and their pricing was higher, it was going to take them longer to do it, and they couldn't do exactly what we wanted to have done. And we had another place set to come out to give us an estimate and they never even showed up. I'd tell my friends to contact Bath Planet if they were going to have any type of remodel done in their bathroom.

    Bath Planet by Carl's, Freehold, NJ: 11/29/17 - Great saleslady promised 3 days bath remodeling project completion (complete by December 31st 2017), high quality workmanship and materials. - Project completed 3/16/18. January 2017 - Wrong shower base ordered by company. Company offered me 500$ so that they could install wrong base. I rejected. Wrong measurements for base as per sub-contractor Anthony. After this 2 incidences, I requested for building and plumbing permits to be obtained. I wanted the company not to move forward with project, but demolition had been done and owner Paul stated that everything would go smoothly from here on. Wrong toilet color installed, then fixed.

    February 2017 - Permit inspection initial = failed. Company fixed both building and plumbing issues. I took numerous days so as to be available when the company came in but they never showed up. Paul again promised 200$ "for me to take my wife out because of the scheduling inconveniences". I asked only for a smooth project completion. March 2017 - Shower leaking after project completion, shower door installed on wrong side, no pressure on handheld shower. This issues were fixed, all thanks to Illana. Caulking around bathroom and shower door is unprofessional looking, even after Jeffery came and re-fixed it. See attached picture.

    Bottom line. This company initially had poor communication tactics, until Illana took over the communication in February 2017. This company subcontracts with poor supervision, resulting in shoddy work being performed by its "employees". The quality of some of the materials utilized is cheap. I have requested an itemization as to why the project cost 17,000$. The company does not live up to its promises of completing tasks in 3 days. This is the worst experience I have had with any company and I would like to advise other customers to stay away from this company.

    I rent rooms out and have to do things quickly which is why I went the kind of service that was offered by Bath Planet. If I'd had any choice I would have hired a local plumber and had it cost a quarter as much and pay three times as long. The product I originally chose was a new bathtub, new plumbing underneath, new tiles, fixtures and handle bars for the safety of my residents and also because of a heavy mold problems.

    The reps of Bath Planet were fine except there doesn't seem to be a great deal of coordination between her and the actual field office who carried it out. So there was a mis-coordination on payment and different stages that I had to make phone calls to make things happen. It was all very minor. My check didn't get deposited for a long long long time and there were other things before then that just didn't go smoothly. But the installation guy did a great job and was very pleasant. He answered any questions I had and explained whatever I wanted explaining.

    With Bath Planet it is about 20 times too expensive but if you want it done quickly it is a solution. It's just way too much money unless you're a wealthy person and I'm not. I realized at some point that there was no way in hell I could afford it so I called the rep back to cancel and she was a very good sales person. She talked me to doing what was essentially half a job which was not replacing the bathtub or the plumbing underneath the drainage.

    They just did the tile, the ceiling and the plumbing up along behind the wall that brought the water in, which solved the mildew problem and they took out the beautiful old curvature in the ceiling that we couldn't have anymore because it was holding the moisture in there. We ended up with new, cheaper, with not so pretty subway style, just the smooth style and no new bathtub and we did it for half as much. I ended up settling for that but it was still way too expensive. It was like $4,500 and I talked to my plumber and he could have done it for about $1,500. But it would have taken him a couple of weeks so we couldn't have that. I couldn't have that disruption for the people living here. But if you decide to do it for whatever reason it was a decent experience. I'm not happy about the money but I'm satisfied with the job.

    Several years ago we got a walk in shower installed. The salesman was a sweet talker and we were told it would be done In one day. Two at the most. Yea right. Try 2 months. I put in at least 2 complaints with the home office. Never got back with me until I just complained again. I got mold build in my silicone, rust coming from the grab bar, a bumper part fell off the shower door.

    Yes they told me they will send parts but I got to do the labor. My husband has Parkinson's. That's the reason we got this done. Rip off company. Thinking of getting an attorney. Even the walls won't shine. They tried to tell me it's soap build up. Corporate office told me to put elbow grease into it. I have cleaned it weekly. But to be honest I haven't cleaned it in a month. I'm disappointed with it. The local man went out of business or maybe he got chased out of this town. All they kept asking for was money and I refused to pay in full till the job was done. So the one man got rid of Clarence and he was going to come and sign off on the final job and never did. This Bath Planet was in Brownsville, Pa.

    I was tired of my tub, so I got one from Bath Planet, and I am pleased with them. I’ve had the tub for three months now, and it has a fine quality. However, I wish that the glass was better because our water is somewhat hard, and there are still spots, and I don’t know how to get rid of them.     We had Bath Planet install a walk-in shower last November. They were expensive but we were happy with the end-product. They were also able to put in the shelves and stuff that we wanted. Their installers were good, very friendly, and they cleaned up everything when they left. My experience with them was all positive. A couple of months later, there were some problems with the caulking. We called and they came in a couple of days and fixed it so, that was great. We had somebody lined up before but they kept pushing it off and a year later, nothing was done. So, we appreciated that Bath Planet did what they said they were going to do.     We saw Blue Planet at the state fair and we liked the product. We purchased in late September where they did a shower enclosure. We had an old cast-iron tub that needed to be removed, and we had a seat put in and three shelves. The sales rep was very nice and thorough. The installation team was also good, and they finished it on time and cleaned mostly after.

    However, we didn’t hear anything from anyone for quite a while in between the initial meeting with the salesperson and hearing about the installation date. We weren’t kept up to date on how long it was taking to order the materials from back east. I was just getting ready to call the company to find out if something was going to happen or what was going on. The owner actually called to let us know that the installation date would be in three days. So, a little more communication would have been really appreciated. I was starting actually to worry that we’ve been hung out to dry. We had paid a rather large deposit, and we just didn’t hear anything. But, other than that, everything else was good.

    We love the products but I think it's very expensive. My husband said it is about 20% overpriced. We were willing to do it because we needed to have it done, but I think I might have looked around a little longer. There wasn’t much chance to think about it. The salesman said it was either tonight or not at all, so it was a hard sell and we needed to have it done, so we went ahead with it. But looking back on it, I probably would have looked around a little bit to be able to compare.

    We went to a fair in Eugene and the two gals who did the presentation for Bath Planet didn't pressure us. They just showed what they could do and they didn't have any cost there until the salesman came out. The salesman made a mistake on the contract, but he rectified it immediately. So they were honest people to deal with. We had Bath Planet do a remodel for the shower. It was a tub to a walk-in shower. We put in glass doors, and we upgraded the showerhead. It was really expensive, but they did an excellent job. Their workmanship was outstanding and their materials were very good. The installers were in and out. And it was just a one-day job. They were very neat and tidy. They also cleaned up outside, and they were really meticulous. They were nice and polite guys.

    Bath Planet was contracted to do a "complete renovation" of our bathroom. Upon inspection of the contract I found they were not going to replace a wooden window in the shower area. They were going to build around it. I contacted Bath Planet and the Rep. came back and agreed to replace the window as the original window was in poor shape. When the contractor showed up to start the demolition, I pointed out that the contract also stated "No Paint" even though the wording above said "tub, walls, floor, vanity, mis". The contractor ran his hand over the east wall of our bathroom and said "we can take care of this". The contractor told me what primer to buy and also what type of paint to buy. He also stated " he had a tub of mud " he could use not to worry. After the demolition I began asking when they would paint. He said "after the wet area is complete". So I waited until then.

    When the wet area was done I again asked about the paint. The contractor said "he got me booked solid with jobs, all next week in W. Elmira". "I won't be able to do it". When the Bath Planet rep. came to collect his final payment I expressed my displeasure with the way his guys left my bathroom. The walls are totally undone, all fixtures are in place and now we must remove the toilet, vanity, med. cabinet and molding to properly paint an area that his employee's led my wife and I to believe they would paint. He got very upset, I told him "you got us" the contract at the bottom said no paint but his employee's had a verbal agreement with me to complete the painting so I assumed it would get done.

    In the end, I feel the whole paint thing was so they could get the "wet area" completed and get on to the next job. The work to be done section clearly said walls, but at the bottom "No Paint" got us. The bottom also said the window would not be done by Bath Planet but it was. We are now having to pay someone to come in and finish what I feel Bath Planet should have done. This was not a Complete Renovation. Bath Planet took advantage of us, with poor business practices and not finishing what they agreed to do.

    Updated on 02/17/2018 - I wrote my original review. Bath Planet responded with a "blanket" 100% satisfaction call our 800 number response. When I called Angela she said "there was nothing they could do, Jim ** is an independent Bath Planet franchise". So I am back to square one as Mr. ** has no remorse about the complete disregard he showed towards our renovation.

    Bath Planet seemed to do what we wanted to do in a time frame that was workable for us when we had a chance to have a talk with them. We’d had some problems with other remodelers around the fact that they didn’t or couldn’t meet time frames. We made the purchase about a month ago now and Bath Planet replaced the tub, wall surrounds, floor that holds the new sink, and the vent fan. I also requested for some hold bars as I’m almost 80. We had several contacts with the representative. We went and picked some colors together, and then he met us a couple of times to pick materials. He has good knowledge for their product and he may have disagreed with us or in everything we did since we had a couple of ideas that he thought were strange but he did it our way.

    The only issue we had was it took a while from the initial point of contact to the point where we got started. Other than that, the Bath Planet people came really knowing what needed to be done, how to do, and the tools they needed to do it with, and they did it. The installation was really great and beautifully done in two days. We had some conversation with one of the installers who's particularly skilled, and he indicated they sometimes do kitchens too. We’ve had a real struggle about our kitchen and we wanted to do it as well but haven't been able to find a contractor that could and would do it the way we wanted it done in a time frame to do it.     We went to Home Town and we liked the display. When Home Town came out and went through what they were going to do, we decided we wanted Bath Planet. I was happy with the sales representatives that I had. They showed up on time and explained everything. And the price was in the ballpark I was looking. The old bath tub was taken out and then they put in the walk-in shower, the surround, the corner pieces for shampoo, and new shower head, shower valves and body.     Bath Planet had the reputation and long term standing behind their work than when I go with the old Lowe's route and be stuck with what I get. The sales rep was really nice and he answered all of our questions very thoroughly. We loved knowing exactly what's going to happen. I'm not big on salesman but he was a good one. We upgraded our master bath and put in a new shower and sink. The installers were very respectful of everything, and they kept everything clean.     Bath Planet did another bathroom for us before, and they did a good job and we just gave them a job to do. Three months ago, they tore up the old shower and the floor, put in a new ceiling in, the floor, shower and the cabinets. I used to know their sales rep and he was very knowledgeable about it. He knows what he's selling. We had a great time with their installation team too and they did a great job. It took them a week and they cleaned up every day. Bath Planet is a great company to work with. They do exactly what they say they're going to do and they pretty much did it and done it on time. I'd recommend them. They've done about three other jobs. I said to people I recommend, "They do a good job. You go pick out what you want and you go from there. And they'll get it done."

    The installation team from Bath Planet was absolutely excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever. They're really concerned and very congenial, and they exactly knew what they were doing.     We heard about Bath Planet through Home Town Restyling. We have had a very good experience with some prior work that Home Town had done for us so we went with Bath Planet. We trust our sales rep. He's worked with us on all the work that we've discussed and projects we've looked at. And he's done a great job with explaining the products and the process. Last summer, Bath Planet did two bathrooms for us in one shot. We took out a tub and put in a walk-in shower, and replaced the commodes, the cabinets, both the lavatories, counters and all the hardware. The installation team did a wonderful work.     After contacting Angela at the corporate office the local contractor for Bath Planet here in Southern California responded to my emails. I was able to have the contractor pull the permit and then pass inspection with the city (after the fact). All I'm waiting on now is the check for reimbursement for my permit fee from the contractor. I am very pleased with the assistance provided by the corporate office on getting the job fully and legally completed. This makes me much more likely to consider Bath Planet for future home improvement. I am giving 4 stars since this took too much time to resolve satisfactorily. The final product is very nice though!

    The actual finished bathroom is fairly nice. My issue is with lack of customer service after a permitting issue was found out. Unbeknownst to me (or Bath Planet apparently) a permit should have been pulled to do this work. The crew at Bath Planet assured me that they never have needed a permit to complete this type of job. An HOA board member confronted me during the remodel about a permit being needed but I didn't believe him. I assumed the Bath Planet employees knew what they were talking about. I submitted any paperwork/drawings I had from Bath Planet to the HOA after the work was completed.

    Now the HOA wants a permit from the city pulled to complete the process. This would be fairly simple to clear up if Bath Planet would follow up and get a permit. After calls and emails were made to the local company I have had no response back. I have even called the corporate office in Illinois to speak to Angela but have had no response either. Seriously? What response will you get if you need something taken care of under warranty later? Buyer beware!

    I was looking for somebody local and not as normally advertised. The rep from Bath Planet was knowledgeable and had his routine down pat. He had his materials to show and took his time. The installers installed right before Christmas then they came back and finished it the last week of December. They were courteous and respectful of the house. They came on time and made sure they put protective things down on the floors. They cleaned up after themselves and left the house the same way it was before they got there. They’re actually coming back to finish up some trims that they hadn’t done. But the bathroom looks fantastic and the quality is very good. The cost was what is was quoted and reasonable.     I've lived in the house for 14 years and I’d always wanted a new shower. I knew of another company but I wasn't too impressed when they came out. We went to a state fair here in Oregon and Bobby, the guy from Bath Planet at the booth, was awesome and very personable. The owner called to let me know when they were coming out, which I thought was awesome, too. They came out a couple of months later and did the bid. I always appreciate when sales people come to the house and they don’t try to give you a spiel. Bobby was a super nice guy and prompt. He came when he said he was going to be, he was completely prepared, had a presentation set up on his iPad and had every sample. He answered all of our questions and was very patient. He wasn’t in a rush which I liked. I’ve had a lot of sales folks come out and I felt like I was trying to accommodate them, versus them trying to accommodate me.

    My husband and I narrowed down what we wanted and we had Bobby run different scenarios for us. He didn’t feel like we were putting him out in any way. It was a really nice experience. If all their salespeople are like Bobby, they need to keep that up because he was awesome. Also, they came out exactly when I wanted them to. I paid for it in September and I asked them if they could come out in November since we had a huge thing going on in October. They said that they would work any time I wanted and they did.

    The installers came and they were very professional, polite and they worked very quickly. We had them come to the house a certain way and they put up with our four dogs being loud. The whole shower was removed completely and replaced. They just didn’t take a shower installation and put it over the old. They cut the whole wall out. Our old shower was a thin, granite stone type and they had to do a lot of cutting and removing. They blocked everything off and there wasn’t dust anywhere. They didn’t leave a mess and our house was immaculate when they left. We had a whole stand up shower, glass doors, and a whole rack in the corner, like a soap dish and shampoo rack. They also put in a really cool shower head. The shower is gorgeous. When I had questions or they wanted to show me something, they came and got me. They did an amazing job.

    In addition, the caulking of the soap dish they put in the corner cracked. We called them, they did not hesitate and came right back out to fix it. Our shower head also leaked and they came back and fixed it, too. So, they did what they told us they would do, no questions asked. Bath Planet is a great company. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and I will use them again because I have another bathroom that I want to have redone eventually.

    I was doing a web search and I looked at some information. And then, last year, we went to a home show and Bath Planet was there. I compared their product to some other stuff and it seemed like a good one. When we finally got around to deciding to do it, they were very nice and helpful. We got a tub and the walls that go with it. The installers were very nice and helpful. The only real complaint I have is the caulking underneath the faucet for the tub doesn't look right. Even so, I like the product. It looks great. They were here for a really long day because they were having a few little problems. But other than that, the bit of caulking area that I'd like to have checked, the guys were wonderful. They did a good job. I counted on them doing their job and hopefully, everything is correct.     We have seen Bath Planet at the Oregon State Fair where they had a booth with a lot of other people. They had models of what they do and have got a quarter displays that show their different bathroom materials, colors, shapes, and designs. They were putting all the display out to let people know that they exist and this is what they do. We ended up purchasing a tub shower, a combination for the main bathroom. And then, in the master bathroom, we went with their biggest shower stall unit that they make. We purchased this quite back in August. We filled out the paperwork with them at the Oregon State Fair and have somebody come out. It was the 1st of October that the gentleman came, took a look, measured up and then told us the available sizes, colors, and patterns. We placed the order and it took four weeks for them to get the whole system put together and install it here.

    The installers were very good about it. They were concerned to not dirty up the house in any way. They worked quietly unto themselves very efficiently and were nice guys. They let us know when they were going to leave for lunch. They were here for two days in a row. So, they left their work trailer here on our property while they went home for the night. We had issues where the main bathroom shower had a mark on the wall. We tried taking pictures of it and we were in the process of sending them the pictures. Also, they had come in to put the safety shower glass door and those guys didn't tighten up the hinge screw all the way. So, we talked to them up in Washington about our issues at 11 o'clock in the morning. At 1 o'clock, I got a call from the guy that did the installation and he said he was coming to me. He showed up and we showed him the mark, then he said that they can get rid of that.

    They brought in their cleaning stuff, went in and started wiping the whole thing down and removed the mark. They also went around and tightened up the screws. I've seen too many safety glass things that pop, and when they pop, they’re done. There is nothing but a crumble of glass. I told the guy to give us a lifetime warranty so I'm not going to mess with it. I'll call them up, have them come back and take care of it. So far, we're very happy with it and we love the master bathroom shower now.

    However, they make the comments a one day deal, and it's not. It's going to take at least two days since they come in and do the change out in one day. But then as they leave, they'd tell you the silicone needs 24 hours to dry properly. With us having a custom shower, the problem is that the shower pan and the tub pan is a certain type that fits in. But then, when they put the surround, it can fluctuate a bit. Therefore, they have to have the guys come in and measure exactly to make the tempered safety glass for the glass enclosure.

    There was a little miscommunication with time. Bath Planet need to tell people upfront that custom glass takes a week and the glass enclosures take an extra week. The alternative would be to put a temporary shower curtain up and people can use that thing in the next day. That is one day without realm since they can make the install, they leave and it's all done. We can't shower in it for that one day, but the next day, we're good to go.

    Right before Thanksgiving, they were able to get our glass. They were here Wednesday putting the glass door on the shower unit. That was a week without that shower since we didn't have the glass. But we have the main bathroom that we were able to use. It was two days to have everything dry like they want it to. They have a lifetime warranty on it but there's no guarantee. Any business is going to be here in a year and that's the way those things go. Overall, it was a great experience.

    Our experience with Bath Planet was not good. I like the product and what they install but they are too overpriced for the work and the product that they're giving. My bathroom is huge and has a new toilet inside that has a separate door separating the shower. I got a shower put in, so they tore down the wall and put the wall back up for the shower, and then put a strip in the room like they have done. I'm paying $16,000 for just that. That's the price of the floors I'm trying to put in my house throughout the whole upstairs and down. They didn't refurnish my whole bathroom and there was no renovation.

    The interactions with their customer service were terrible. It was never clear to me, when the salesperson left, how much I was going to get refunded. I told them to drop my price to at least $12,000 and the lady I talked to said that they took off the $500, but they also added a restocking fee for the door since I didn't get it. The credit they were giving me was from a coupon I received in the mall saying that they would give me $1000 off if I go with them. I didn't see the credit in my agreement, so it was my new contract after they removed the door. She said that it was included in the agreement, but that was not true. The $500 was the rebate. She gave me additional $500 off and the $1000 for the coupon that I presented to her.

    I was excited about getting my bathroom done and getting a new shower since my showers are so bad. The lady didn't give me a price or anything at that time. And then all of a sudden, I'm getting my bill and I wonder what was knocked off as I'm still paying almost $20,000. It's not fair and I'm checking with my attorney to see if I got duped. I also got my son look into it. I want them to do price checking for these products and labor and find out where is this all coming from because it's too expensive. Most of the money went into the labor and now, I'm left with a $16,000 debt. I wouldn't recommend anybody for them.

    We purchased a bathtub from Bath Planet about two months ago. My wife found them at a fair where they had a booth. She called them, they came out and we talked to them. Their sales guy was very good. He was knowledgeable about the products and what was going on. He walked us through what would happen too. If I had any concerns, he’d tell me. Also, when I gave him a call, he got right back with me.

    The installer was nice and knowledgeable as well, but he screwed up the plumbing. The faucet and the handle were set on top of each other, so when I turned the water off, the handle would hit the faucet head in the bathtub. I called the guy from the local Bath Planet in Livonia. He said he’d call the installer. The installer told him that he had to do it that way. And I said, “No, he didn’t.” I took pictures because I had an access panel and I sent them in. I got back to my sales guy and he said, “I’ll send them into the office.” And then, he gave me a guy’s name in the office. I said, “No. Look at the pictures. There’s plenty of room to spread them apart. He didn’t have to put it that close.”

    A plumber who has been installing tubs and surrounds for a long time showed up to the guy’s office. The guy showed him the pictures and the plumber asked, “What should I do about this?” The gentleman told him to order a panel and redo it because that’s not right. He sent him out and the plumber fixed the faucet and handle then put the new panel in. It ended up getting resolved, but I had to call a few times to the office. Also, the installer put up my shower tension rod, which I told them to leave it up when they're done. They screwed it to the wall and right through my new surround. It’s a tension rod, which means that it had no screws. So now I got two holes on each side though they replaced the one side panel anyway when they did the faucet.

    Bath Planet needs to have their installers ask the owners questions when in doubt instead of just going ahead and doing what they want. If the guy had a question about putting a handle on top of the faucet head, he should’ve asked me even if it was going to be an upcharge because I’d rather had it done right the first time. But once the bathtub was all done, it is a nice product. We’re very happy with it. However, through the hassles that I had and especially for the amount they charge, I wouldn’t recommend them. I know I could’ve gotten it done a lot cheaper. Price-wise versus the aggravation, it wasn’t worth it.

    We had a couple of bad experiences with other salesmen when I tried to work on the bathroom. A couple of years ago, I didn't get along with the guy from Bath Fitters at all. This time, we went to Home Depot and tried to get them to come do it but they would never call me. I happened to be walking through the mall in Westminster and I've seen Bath Planet's displays sitting down there so I got the phone number off of that and called. I was very satisfied with Bath Planet's salesman. He came up on a Saturday and talked to us, and he was very nice and professional.

    We took the tub out and put in a shower with a seat and glass doors as well as new floor and shower walls. The boys did it in two days and my wife doesn't believe they ever ate. They also cleaned up after themselves. I was very satisfied with the work they did and my wife absolutely loves it. The only thing was that I had to call back because the screen drain was supposed to be bronze and they put a silver one in. The contractor called Bath Planet before he left and told me that I'll be getting one through the mail. But eight weeks went by and I never got it so I had to call them. The contractor's helper brought it up and replaced it right away. Other than that, working with Bath Planet was the best thing I've ever had done. If I ever have anything else done, I'd get in touch with them.

    Bath Planet had what I wanted to do for our bath remodel and they service the area that I live in. I gave them my information and they contacted us right on time. They came out in the latter part of September. We purchased it the first day and met with the sales rep. The price was good. They honored the state fair special pricing and did everything they could to get us the best possible installation at the lowest possible price for what we wanted. It was really great.

    In doing a total remodel of the bathtub area, we took out the bath and put in a low threshold walk-in shower. It is acrylic. They did all the tear-out and they would replace anything if they needed to be in the substructure. Then they put in the new shower surround, floor, ceiling, glass doors and fixtures. The two guys that came out to do the job were very good. There wasn’t a speck of dirt, dust or debris anywhere after they were done. It took them a day and a half, and they finished it before Thanksgiving. They were very respectful because we were in the house as well.

    There was nothing else that they could have possibly done differently to make it a better experience. I was very pleased with what they did and with the outcome. From the salesperson to the installation, everything was awesome. Even the gal that I talked to who did all the scheduling was nice. We’ve been showing our new bathroom to everyone who comes over, and I would recommend them to anybody.

    I saw Bath Planet on an Oregon Fair and I liked the looks of their product. I purchased a shower enclosure from them. The shower is fine but the people, I don’t care for. I told them to put something in the bath and they call me three days later to say that it wasn’t in the bath and that it’ll be another $450. So, I told them to fly as I don’t play that game. I just had the rest of what I had already started paying for installed. Also, I don’t like the bank that they went with because even a payment on it cost me $10 over the phone. I won’t have anything else done by Bath Planet.

    I looked at four other companies and had three other sales representatives come to our home. What Bath Planet won me over the most was the explanation of the installation and the materials. The materials were better than the other companies and the installation, instead of like a one-day rush, it was two days which makes sense. They had to take my existing tub out because it had rusted. So, it was a little bit more complicated than just putting the shower. And they had to remove the existing tub and the wall to make sure there was no mold. They actually had to take the wall down, down to the studs. And then, instead of having the bath put back in, I had a shower stall put in. So, for them doing it two days, that was a selling point for me.

    Everybody was very professional, very friendly and always willing to answer any questions when I called. Bath Planet was very, very good as far as the explanation and took their time. They worked out financially to give the best deal for me. Their feedback was great as far as anything I asked. I couldn’t ask for a better installation team. As they do things, I was at home and they told me what they were doing, step-by-step. I was very pleased with the installation of everything.

    The gentlemen that came out initially was an older and a younger man. But the older one was the one that was pretty much doing most of the work. I had a problem with the ceiling downstairs. That’s where the tub was leaking. I have a piece of drywall that is missing there. The gentleman came back on the second day with a piece of drywall. I had to get someone that is very good with drywall but he had the piece for me so that at least I had that to start with. And that was something he didn’t have to do but he set himself to do that and that meant a lot to me.

    They went the extra mile. It was the best of my experience of services. They’re willing to work with me and getting the best for me as far as that new shower. I would recommend Bath Planet from the sales representative to the gentleman that installed it plus the feedback that I got with the company calling me when the installation was going to take place. Everybody was on time for everything.

    My son does construction work and he said Bath Planet had a good name. I called and made an appointment. He showed me pictures of what was available so I had a good eye view of the selections. I told him I absolutely did not want a tub. I wanted a replacement, so we didn’t even look at the tubs and looked at the different collections and what I picked out. He let me pick out the tile or the backboards, the floor, the grab bars and the closets. He also let me choose where I wanted them. He gave me a horrible price but I took it. We purchased a shower from them and got our bathtub replaced. I’m not a shower person, but I had it put in because of my husband’s mental problems and he wouldn’t take a bath.

    During the installation, there was this one poor guy who got left behind. He was a new guy and he worked so hard. I felt so sorry for him because the other guy didn’t show up. Just left him high and dry. He worked really long and hard and what he got done was good. I was very pleased with him. He was supposed to be learning from the other guy but he learned well by being by himself. The next day, the guy that was supposed to have been there the first day showed up and he was a flake. He left early and stayed on the phone most of the time with his girlfriend. Even so, Bath Planet is well worth looking into and seeing if you’re interested in their merchandise. I’m pleased with mine and I have no problems with recommending Bath Planet. What they did was fine and it looks good.

    I do not recommend using Bath Planet. Back in August I set up an appt. when I saw Bath Planet at a local county fair. 4 days later when they were suppose to come there was no call, no show. About a week after that a rep called me up to schedule a visit. I responded with no due to the fact I already had an appointment and nobody called or showed up. I got another phone call from a rep mid November wanting to set something up so despite my initial disappointment I decided to make an appointment.

    The sales rep Anthony that came out was very nice and knowledgeable. We discussed what I wanted and wrote up the paperwork. I have a little separate room with the shower and I wanted all 4 walls covered with the acrylic and a stand up shower. This was discussed over and over and I was told (no worries). Despite the cost being way higher than I expected or felt comfortable with, I decided to go with it. (No worries, right?) Wrong. I was initially told by the sales rep that they do weekends and the job would get done quick, in a day. That was a selling point for me. When the installer called to set up they said there's no one to do weekends so I called off work (at a new job) with no pay to get it done.

    I was later told they do weekends but it's months out for installation. I was all excited for installation day DEC. 28 but to my surprise they did not have all the wall panels, only for the shower walls. The installers left the house to make a phone call and said they could not start installing and that I would get a call later to reschedule. I never got a call so I decided to call, left a message and never got a call back. I called back today Jan. 2. Now they are telling me that the contract was not for all the walls and that it will cost more. (I went over this over and over again with the sales rep all the walls. "Yes, yes. No worries," he said.) So I told the installation manager that I just wanted my money back that I already put down because I'm not putting more money into this job.

    I thought $7700 was already a huge amount just to glue up 4 walls and put in a shower base. Now I find out that's only for the shower. Now the guy is saying I cannot get my money cause the shower base was already custom made and I'm past a 3 day cancellation policy. I did not mess up here. Now they are telling me that they have to figure out how much more it will cost to add the extra walls that I was already told I was getting from the sales rep and that they would be nice and split the cost. I'm very unhappy with how this company works and that there is too many different people you're working with which makes it easy for mistakes and confusion. Now it's going to be a big game of he said she said.

    Bath Planet did our shower. I liked their sales pitch and the materials that would be used. They had different colors and different things for us to look at and we made our choice. Bob, the sales rep, was a very personable, very friendly and answered all of our questions. He came more than once because they had to tell us that one of the colors that we wanted wasn’t available. On the other hand, I was a little disappointed because I ordered a couple of things and the installers talked us out of having them installed and they left an edge right next to where the shower was in the floor that we had to finish up. Also, they put the shower handles up and down instead of across or vertically. Other than that, they did a good job with the installation. Bath Planet is a good product and it was worth it.

    I met with Bath Planet's rep and then I talked to somebody from another company. The quality of Bath Planet's product really stood out, and their representative was great. He went through everything. Moreover, he had samples of the actual tub and what it’s made of. That was the seller since it was very significantly different than the other tubs I've seen. It had a much higher quality. And he helped me through the entire process. It was very well done as well as easily.

    The installer was great, too. He was very efficient, knew what he was doing, and didn’t leave a mess. He installed a new tub with a shower. He also put in the solid walls that go all the way up to the ceiling. It’s an excellent tub. It’s deeper than my old tub and is made of a much nicer material. It cleans very well and has no scum. I don’t need to use any harsh chemicals on it, just an antibacterial detergent. The walls are molded and are at least three or four times thicker than what you would buy at a Home Depot or Lowe’s. It will last a lot longer and is much more secure. I also like the built-in grippers on the floor of the tub. It's got a very nice design on the side of the tub. It’s like waves and is very pretty. From the first encounter up until the end, it was a very positive experience with Bath Planet. In addition, they give the CEO's cell phone number. If you have any problems, you can call him. You don’t see anybody do that.

    I was at an annual green show event at a convention center and they had different vendors related to green products that different people sell. I couldn't find the solution I wanted for the tile for my shower and Bath Planet had a booth there. They had the material and print I was looking for and the sales rep was very good. Plus, the installers were ideal workmen who showed up and made sure everything was prepped. They were excellent and if they had to interrupt their work, everything was put away.     Bath Planet converted my bathtub into a full walk-in shower. We went to several companies and Bath Planet was one of the ones that we connected with. They were not aggressive but were mindful about giving me calls and checking up on me. They had a sales rep come out to the house to do measurements and give us an estimate. We really liked him. He was transparent about everything.

    There were different options. They had something where you checked off things that you needed. The rep did a good job with one of the things that I needed for my shower. He built the assessment around that. I chose where to put the items in the shower or what kind of shower head I wanted. I built my own design around that. The installation was also quick and easy. I was anticipating it would take a day and a half. I'm in private practice so I lose a lot of money if I'm not at work so it was great they finished in half a day. The only weird thing was that it took them about two months before finally coming in to do it. They said it was because they had to get the order in and that the orders to get all the stuff sometimes take a while. It took a little bit longer than I anticipated, but it was still fine.

    At the Bend Summerfest, someone had a kiosk representing Bath Planet. We were interested in doing a new shower and I gave them our information. They contacted us within 48 hours and we went with them because of convenience. They sent a crew out here to install the shower and we were told to expect them to take a full day, and maybe part of another one. They had the old shower demoed out and the new one installed by 3:30, much less than a whole day after starting it at about 8:30, so we were delighted. But we noticed that after the installation was done, the door was not put in straight. It was off about a full inch, top to bottom, and angled in. So, they came out and they straightened that out.

    Also, the shower was not sealed properly. It had two showerheads in it and I had one of the showerheads pointed at one of the corners. I was taking a shower and my daughter said it was raining downstairs in the kitchen. So, they came out and sealed it up. But because Bath Planet was 180 miles away from where we live, they engaged a local company who fixed the problem. Then, we noticed that the shower was leaking out on the floor at the opposite corner of the sliding glass door. We called them up again and they had the same people come out here who said that we've got a void which wasn't sealed properly. So, it was fixed one more time. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and I would not engage Bath Planet again.

    We purchased our bath surround in 2006. Bath Planet had assumed warranty coverage for this unit. We had a leak which we understood was not covered by warranty. Bath Planet referred us to their plumber, who did all their plumbing work. Not only was this plumber very expensive, he did not complete the job to our satisfaction. Our shower doors do not close completely, after removal and complete reinstall. In the process of work, plumber damaged some of our personal property, which he agreed to replace. This never happened, nor has he answered calls to fix doors. After recalling Bath Planet installation manager, who referred us to this plumber, he took our number and indicated he would get back to us... It's been over a week, and no response. Very disappointed with customer service of this company... Not there for support when needed...

    We had another bathroom done with a shower in it from Bath Renew. We had some major issues with them and there was a thing or two that we didn’t like so we decided to look at somebody else. We looked at what Bath Planet offered. They had a representative come out and take a look and gave us a quote. We decided to go ahead and do that. The rep was okay but it got off to a rocky start. My wife happened to be home and I was on my way home. She did not want him in the house until I was there. I was pulling in the driveway and there was no way he could have missed seeing me pull in. I drive a large Dodge pickup that’s orange. He drove off. I called the office and then they finally got him and he showed up about an hour later. He was early, which, to his credit, was good. Everything was okay after that and he answered most of our questions to my wife’s satisfaction.

    It was a matter of him sitting down, working up some numbers and giving us a price, and then we decided to go ahead and do it. We paid him a check for 10% down and that set things in motion. Everything went great with the installation until the installer got to the sink. They sent us the wrong sink. We had replaced the fixtures on our sink before and it wasn't too long ago and the stuff cost $350 from Lowe’s so we wanted to reuse it. The holes were drilled with the wrong size. When the information got back to the office, they ordered the wrong sink so the guy couldn’t put it in and he said I had to go get another hardware and I said, “No. I ain’t about to take that $350 chunk of hardware and throw it away and piss her off in the process.” He had to take it back and we had to wait for the other sink to come in, and then he came back and he put it in.

    As far as the installer went, we had no problem with him. He did a very good job. He saw our sink and then he looked at his sink. The good thing about it was that he didn’t tear out our whole sink first. He looked at it and he looked at the other one and said, “Uh-oh. This is not gonna work.” Two weeks after, we gave him the check. I got a call from the office saying they’d put the material on order and it was going to be four to six weeks. I told them that there are two things that I am very conscious of -- how long it’s going to take to get something and how much it’s going to cost.

    It took all those extra days for it to get here. It eventually did, and the guy put it in and everything was hunky-dory. The only other thing that irritated me was about the delivery. The only other issue I had was that when he was there, he said it would take about four weeks. And we had a plumbing issue in our bathroom and we had to get whoever was doing the plumbing to come out before and do it. Other than that, it was a good experience and we’re happy with it.

    I went over to Western Building Supplies here in Fresno and I was gonna get the parts for the bathroom and do it myself. I was talking to one gentleman and I didn’t like what they had. I was undecided so he sent me over to a friend of his at Bath Planet. I got shower walls and all the fixtures in one bathroom where the bathtub was, and then a complete shower in the other one. The guy that came out and gave me these was very nice and knowledgeable. And all was good with the installation too.

    The workers and the guy that gave the estimate were fine. But the way they conduct the overall business is not very good. When they came out and gave me the estimate, I told them, “Okay. Let’s go ahead.” They asked for money upfront and I gave them the money. Then before they would go to the next phase of the job, they wanted more money. We’re in the air conditioning business here, and when we gave a quote, we don’t ask for money upfront. When the job is done, we expect to be paid or we’re gonna lien your house. But with these guys, they called me on the phone and would keep emailing me that I need to give them more money.

    I had to pay half upfront before they would go on to the next part of the job. That’s not the arrangement the guy and I made. He knows our company and I worked here 40-some years but the lady asked for $500 upfront. I gave them $800 cash and I paid everything in cash. But before they would go on to the next phase, I’d have to go in and give them $1,500 to $2,000. They wanted to be paid before they ordered the shower walls. That tells me that that company has no buying power or not very stable. I had complained a couple of times. If there’s anybody else in town, I would have canceled my order and gone out. I have never done business with anybody like that.

    I had Bath Planet do our walls and ceiling in our bathroom. They're close to the house and I didn't have to worry about them doing the work right because they're a well-known company and they specialize in these kinds of things. Their rep explained everything to me. We had a small entrance through the shower before but they cut the upper part, made it level with the ceiling and widened the entrance to the shower. I like the shower and I'm completely satisfied with the work they did.

    Bath Planet had a booth at the Fishers Freedom Festival, and I filled out a card to get an estimate on replacing my tub with a walk-in shower. I also had others look at my tub and they were all asking for twice what Bath Planet quoted. Their reps were polite. They didn’t argue with me or try to sell me more than what I wanted. Plus, they weren't pushy. I got the walk-in shower with the walls and glass sliding doors, and I also had some bars put in there since I am 67 years old and have bad knees. Someone came in to do the measurements and make sure everything was the right size. They also showed me the different options available. The installers came in and did their work. They didn’t waste time and just got busy. Plus, they really seemed to know what they were doing. They were also polite and would always clean up. They didn’t leave a lot of debris and dust around.

    I knew that with the surface of the shower floor, you had to be careful with what you used on it. I didn’t see anything in the paperwork that they gave me that would describe what they recommended. I called Bath Planet and left a message, but I never got any answer back. But overall, I’ve had them for a year and I haven’t had any trouble. I haven’t had any leaks nor had anything that was affixed come off. Since it costs half of what other places quoted me, I worried that they might have cut corners or that it wouldn’t be as good of quality, but everything has worked out and I’ve been perfectly happy with all of it.

    I was looking for a shower door online and got kicked in to Bath Planet's website. A representative called and we wanted him to come out and see if they can make a shower door for us. He was a nice person and we ended up getting the whole shower redone. However, I also had asked for a taller shower and that did not happen. They didn't tell me that it wasn't standard and I had been so specific that I assumed I was going to get what I wanted when they took forever from late April until late August to get the shower in. So that was a deal disappointment but it was also my mistake for not checking the height of the shower since that's the one thing their rep didn't write down on the sheet.

    We're in a remote area and the installers couldn't seem to get here even though I could manage to get to where they're from in two hours. They were late everyday and could only do a few things. They did the floor in one trip and then the glass part on the next trip. The installers didn't seem to be very happy to be doing the job, but then I wasn't very happy with them either. It was a difficult job since they had to tear the shower out and put it back in but they should do it and not be making messes. It took us a while to get the dust out. Plus, there were a couple of things that were not finished properly which we've had to repair.

    The quality of their product for the price they charge should be improved. The glass we have is streak-free but it really streaks easily. I'm on it everyday to keep the showers clean. We thought we paid for a good product and it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports people. But I should have researched more because since then I've seen some other showers that have the non-stick walls for the same price. We've also seen a heavier glass that is a better product. Had the glasses been the right height, I probably would have accepted everything. But there was really nothing I could do other than say, "Leave and don't do it." And then pay someone to do another job. It was an ordeal but now we enjoy our two new commodes and showers. I'm happy about those but I wouldn't use Bath Planet again and would not recommend them to a friend.

    Bath Planet had offers online and they had what we were looking for. We purchased a common shower tub and a stand up shower. Bath Planet and the ladies in their office were great. The installation team was very good. There was a young man who was very polite and professional. They came and did what they were going to do. They followed up because they didn’t have everything they needed material-wise. They had to wait so there was a delay in getting it completed. Bath Planet was open to any suggestions we had or anything we set up that was not properly done. They did one thing they shouldn’t have done so I called their office and had them come back and make corrections to my satisfaction.

    The stand-up shower had limited space. The Bath Planet shower had their doors, walls and glass in a certain way so they had to tear it out and get down to the wall studs. There was a three inch gap so they had to modify the wall to accommodate the shower. One contractor did most of the shower work. I got into it with his help. It was a little challenging for him because he didn't like the way the first contractor did it. He had to turn around and redo it to his liking and it turned out real well. The work was supposed to take two to four days. Ordering the parts, making it fit and getting all the parts together were a challenge so it took extra weeks to get everything done. But we had the tub shower to use and we're fortunate that they did it first and they didn't have a lot of problems with it.

    About two years ago, I got a shower from Bath Planet. The sales representatives explained everything to me and were friendly. They had a lengthy presentation though and I had to leave so they came the next day to finish it. They could have cut to the chase and not explain all of the things. Comparing shower cleaners was totally unnecessary. Other than that, they also said that I would be able to tell them how far I would have my foot rest adjusted but it was automatically made in the caddy corner. There’s no adjusting it like they previously told me.

    Afterwards, the installation team came in, did their job and cleaned up after themselves. They were in and out in a day and a half. But then, I got a phone call asking if everything was okay and a lady named Robin even came and asked me about my shower to follow up. There was some caulking that could be placed in a particular area and she said that she would have someone do that but that was a year and a half ago. Our scheduling was off too because I needed to be there and I’m not home a lot so we never connected back together. I even called Bath Planet back and told them that nothing had been done about it. I want them to follow up with me to make another appointment.

    Bath Planet took out our Fiberglass shower and replaced it with a beautiful acrylic shower system all in one day. They also disposed of all used materials.     The salesperson that came to my house was very good. We had a connection so we decided to go with him. He was personable and my husband liked him too. He answered all the questions that we had. We bought the tub and enclosure and added a shelf. The installation team was very good and knowledgeable as well. Bath Planet has quality product, knowledgeable salesmen, qualified technician and they're always helping us. I would recommend them.

    The only thing that I've been noticing is that we keep getting mold around the caulking so I keep scraping away some of it. I'm not sure why that's happening, so my husband is thinking of calling soon to mention it and see what Bath Planet has to say. We don't use anything to clean the tub because they told us not to use anything other than water. We haven't had a problem with keeping anything clean because it's always clean in the bathroom. We could use Dove soap if there was any soap scum or anything, but we haven't needed to do that. We have a fan in the bathroom as well, and it doesn't seem to make a difference with the mold.

    We wanted to get the bathtub redone. It was 30 years old and needed to be replaced, but it was a big tub and it was sitting in the corner of the room with a base and stuff that had been built onto it to set it in. I couldn’t find anybody in this area that was interested in working. I got online and found Bath Planet. The rep from Bath Planet was also the only one that I heard from so we had them to come out and look and gave us an estimate.

    They came out on March 9 to install and it wasn’t their fault that they couldn’t get all the work done because we were ordering our own bathtub and we went through Home Depot. The first two we got in was damage so they had to send them out twice. Finally, the third one was okay but it’s only because I insisted that they pack that box and not send it in a plain cardboard box.

    The only problem I had was with a rep in their office. She would tell me something and then it wouldn’t be exactly what she told me. She was gonna send the installer out here to put that first tub in and of course, he called us on his way. He was also coming out of Hot Springs and he was gonna stay overnight. He wanted to know about motels and he said he had to go to Hot Springs to pick up the materials. He called us after he got to the warehouse and said that he couldn’t find the water faucet. He called us three times and he said, “I can’t find it so I've already got another job schedule so I'm not gonna be able to do that one.”

    The rep called me and said that something had come up, that the installer was too busy on his other job and couldn’t make it. I knew that was a lie because I’d already talked to him two or three times and I told her, “That’s odd. I talked to him two or three times and he couldn’t find all the supplies, the water fixture and everything." I don’t like that because that will ruin their business. Just tell me, “We forgot to order your water fixture." Don’t lie to me because that is something that I have always had a problem with.

    The day that they got to come back and finish installing the faucet, we had called because of the damaged stuff. I also called because I had him scheduled to come out and it was gonna be the following day. But I called the rep and I said if he wants to come out the day before tomorrow, that’s fine. If he wants to wait until the day that we had scheduled which would have been the following day after that, I said that’s fine as well. She said, “No, we’ll leave it like it is because he has a job for that day.” I said, “That’s fine. We don’t have a problem with that.”

    The rep called that morning and she said, “Well, I guess there was a mix-up. He’s coming. He’s on his way.” I said, “Well, that’s fine. We’re gonna pick the tub up.” She said, “I just wanted to let you know. He’s 15 minutes from your house.” I said, “Works fine.” Also, I thought when you put somebody on speaker phone, that you are supposed to let them know that ahead of time. The rep didn’t tell me that the installer was on speakerphone. I knew that because he called me after I hung up with her and he said, “I’m actually about 45 minutes to an hour away. I did hear her conversation with you.” Other than that, the guys that came out here were awesome and we really appreciated them greatly. I would recommend Bath Planet.

    We went to the Sugar Grove Corn Boil which is a summer festival that they have out there. Bath Planet had a booth set up and we liked what they had. We talked to their saleslady and then made an appointment for them to come out. They gave us an estimate that we thought was really reasonable so we made the purchase. I was able to choose different features like the shelving and if I wanted a bench in there, I can pick the color, the hardware, and the door. Everything was customized to what we wanted.

    The sales guy that came out gave us an estimate. He was very thorough and showed us samples. And when it was up to getting financed, they made it really easy to do it. We didn't have to go anywhere since we could do it over the phone. Once the financing was approved, they scheduled when they could come. It took one guy to install everything. He knew how to get it done so he was able to put it all in a day. It was fantastic and we're very pleased with it. Overall, we had a hassle-free experience with Bath Planet. They had procedures and guidelines from the sales to the production manager to financing. It was very easy to deal with them. They were very professional, and they knew what they had to do.

    We live in a mobile home and we had a fiberglass tub but my sister and I are on the heavy side and we could feel it. We wanted a walk-in shower and everything was done exceptionally well. Everyone was friendly too. The bath designer Cathy came in and she helped us as much as she could. The crew came on the day that they were supposed to. They had the walk-in shower put in in five hours and did a beautiful work. Afterwards, they told us to give them a call if we have any issues and they would take care of it for us. When my sister came home from work, her jaw fell to the floor three times. She was so dumbfounded and we're really happy with the work done.     We purchased a shower with a seat from Bath Planet this year. Their reps came in and did what they had to do. They were very professional, considerate, and when they left, they cleaned up. They put in the sliding doors and they also gave me a hand shower along with one of the high-rise toilets and a sink. I can definitely tell the difference from the downstairs bathroom to the one upstairs we had worked on. I get around and get up and down, and I could sit there and relax. It’s working great. My wife and I like it, and my daughter too whenever she comes home from college.

    We went to the home repair show in Darien earlier this year where there were five other competitors but my wife liked the color available in Bath Planet. They had samples and we picked out the style that we liked. We bought the white with silver highlights tub-to-shower conversion. The guy that put it in finished in one day all by himself, so he did a good job. But I’m not crazy about the shower doors. We got the sliding door which rattles and it’s hard to keep it clean. If you’re inside, there’s no handle to open the door when you’re done with your shower. All I got is a nut sticking out on the inside. It’s poorly designed. Also, when I asked the salesman the depth of the shower conversion, he said it was four inches. It’s four inches tall but not four inches deep. Overall it's not much better than what I could’ve gotten at Bath Fitter except for the color.

    I had Bath Planet come to my house to give me a price estimate. Salesman comes in and first wants to sit down with me and give me a 30 min education on the company, how they are better than Bath Fitter and what they do and why they are so great. Then he goes to my bathroom. It's only 40 square feet. Not very big. He looks at it and we go back downstairs. He takes out his laptop. Goes over a presentation and more education for me. Fun. I have an MBA. I don't need to know all this bs. It's just a way for them to push the price up.

    So then we pick out the bathtub and the very simple walls for the shower area. Nothing crazy. The cheapest way. He gives me a price of 13k!!! What? You crazy man!!! So I don't say anything. Then he starts with, “Well if you do it right now it's 11k.” Still I say nothing. Then he says, “Well since you have channel 12 on your tv I can get you down to $9,800”. I say, “Still too high.” Then he says, “I can give you the October discount so I can go to 7,800.” So we went from 13k to 7,800!!! I say my max price is 5k. He says, “I can do 7,300. That's it.” I say, “Have a nice day and bye.”

    Remember people this is just my shower area with a new bathtub. And a plastic wall. Not granite or marble which is much nicer. Why the hell is it 13k for nothing. And why lead with 13k when you could have given me the $7,300. Just wanted to rip me off and make more commissions. This is a very bad way to do business. I bought all my materials for 3k and had a contractor do it for 4K. So I did my full bathroom for about 7k. Which is less than what they wanted just for the shower area. Rip off city. I don't like to be lied to. I'm in sales also. I would never be like that with my clients. But my company has ethics. Bath Planet does not.

    Bath Planet was pretty detailed and was willing to send somebody out to give me an estimate. That was the first step and we could have stopped after that. We weren’t comfortable with them when they came out to give us the appraisal but we were real comfortable with the price, which was also very competitive, compared to the other places we looked into. It was also set up in a way that when you go in, you get to pick out how you want whatever you're having done to look like. We were allowed to pick out the shower we wanted then the doors as well as the finish on the showers and on the floor. Then they got us a new toilet and a new floor, then took out an old bathtub set up with a shower and put in a walk-in shower. They also did the ceiling, the walls, and covered everything up then caulked it.

    The one thing that impressed me the most was when they put the floor in. I've been in a lot of showers where there's no concrete under the floor. But when I saw that the installer was mixing the concrete, I asked what it was for and he said he was filling in the floors. I was watching him do it and it was fast-dry so the next day, I was able to stand on it and it was totally sturdy. Making sure that they fill the underneath of the shower floor was one of the best things they did. The floor was one of those things that we changed our minds on after we had already concluded the contract and were waiting to come back from vacation to have them put it in. All in all, I was very comfortable with them and all the employees that came in here, including the contractors, were A1. The experience with Bath Planet was exceptionally fabulous. They have high-quality guys working in the different crews and their product is A1. I love my shower and my bathroom.

    Was excited after seeing options on their website which led me to call for a consultation. Despite not hearing back from the Richmond location after leaving a voicemail, I decided to call the number online to set up a time. Upon the scheduler confirming the appointment a few days later, I was informed that my husband had to be present. I was taken aback as I am responsible for making the decorating decisions in the home. Thus, I explained that my significant other could not attend the meeting and that I was more than capable of making decisions.

The boys that put the shower in were great, neat, and quiet. All in all, it took them two days to finish. The first day they took out the tub and did some wall work. The next day they put the shower in. I didn't want the seat that came with the shower and they got me a corner seat. They put it in and came back to check and make sure it was sturdy.     Three months ago, I purchased a shower from Bath Planet out of stupidity. They started with the installation about a month ago and it's still not done yet. They came in, tore the walls out, did a bit of damage and haven't got back since. The guy who came out got the old tub out in one day’s time but he damaged the wall in two places and scratched the door. He's done the basic walls and so forth but he didn’t put some shelving in it. I also did a little bit of customization but he hasn't finished it yet. He came back the next day to install the shower, at which time he discovered he didn’t have everything that was supposed to go on that order. He brought in a seat but he didn’t bring the shower head and a few more things along that line. In the process of trying to put it all in, he did a little damage again. He had to cut out my baseboard and left it looking really bad.

    He said he’d be right back in two weeks but that didn’t happen. They were going to contact me and did so simply by calling and saying it would have to be later. When I contacted them back, I was told one more week but that didn't happen either. Then they gave me a day that they would show up, but still they didn’t. Working with Bath Planet was disappointing and it was a really bad experience for me.

    I was at a home remodeling show and expo in Madison, Wisconsin when I heard about Bath Planet. It was Laura, the salesperson that I dealt with that sold me to Bath Planet. She clearly loves her job. She believes in their product and in what she’s doing. She was also very patient with my indecisiveness. The quality of what I was looking for matched what they had to offer versus what I had talked with at some other companies and I was very pleased with that. I did a tub to shower conversion, and then Bath Planet installed a seat in the back corner, some grab bars and storage tower.

    The two guys from Ganser Construction that did the installation were phenomenal and they did that in March. They clearly knew what they were doing. They were so conscientious about the general cleanliness and cleaning up after themselves. It was a spring rainy day and they didn’t want to take pieces back so I told them to put the pieces in my garage. The next day, they asked me if they could cut in my garage if it would rain. But since it wasn't raining hard, they cut outside instead since they don't want to mess up the garage.

    They also kept me posted along the way. The lead guy explained things and answered questions that I had before they even got started just to clarify a couple of things for me. I’m super pleased with the outcome of what I had which was exactly what I was looking for. There were also a lot of check-ins from them. Laura even did a follow-up check a few weeks later after the installation. She checked on how things were going and looked at the final product. They were attentive from start to finish. My experience with Bath Planet was super customer-service focused.

    We liked the sales rep from Bath Planet. He was telling us right to the point as to what the cost was going to be and the advantages of having them remodel my bath.     Three months ago, Bath Planet installed the entire interior of the shower plus the glass doors and changed the shower's hardware which includes the plumbing aspects and the drain valves. They sold me on being done in one day which I was very skeptical of. They took measurements and gave me a catalogue to choose from. There were two individuals who showed up and they were cordial and personable. Everything was pre-cut and it made the installation even smoother. They ripped out the old system and walls, and they replaced it with the new ones.     We were at Re-Bath and got a quote from them but they were rude. I didn’t like them nor the price. So we got Bath Planet and their workers came out and got all their measurements. Then about a month later, they brought in all their stuff and installed the whole shower with the glass doors. They also put in a seat and safety bars, which were all we really wanted. We ran into a problem with the plumbing since whoever did the bathroom before had an extra space with the old tub so they hid some of their mistakes in it.     Back in April my wife fell and fractured her pelvis. It was hard to get her into the bathtub so to make it easier for her, and even myself, to step in and just take a shower, we had Bath Planet take our bathtub out and convert it to a shower. My wife saw them advertised and we took the chance with it since the price was pretty good. Also, we looked it up on the computer what people were saying about them. It was done around July. The salesman came over and he went through everything. He was very good. I was leery at the beginning because I don’t know they could do something like that in one day. But it’s good so far.

    The installation team did a good job. This house was built in 1957, so the bathtub is this heavy old cast iron and I asked how they were going to get that out. They used a sledgehammer but they didn’t ruin my bathroom. I was surprised. And the salesman told us to once in a while keep an eye because they put the special caulking in that, and if some of the seal need a little more caulking or something is going on, always call because it’s warrantied.

    From start to finish, it was a great experience with Bath Planet. I went to HomeAdvisor.com to look for quotes for a new shower stall and Bath Planet was the only company that got back to me. They had a very good product that I felt met my needs and they were also willing to fix any extra work. They fixed any problem they found and took it all the way down to the studs, where other companies I reviewed didn't. That was important to me and it was only going to cost me any materials, and not just added labor to it. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and personable and I had a good experience with them. Plus, they were very responsive to any problems I had.

    After the product was installed, some of the silicone shrunk, which is beyond anybody's fault. Bath Planet came out and fixed it right away.     The salesman sold me on Bath Planet. He had everything to show me on his computer and I more or less made a good choice that way. He did very well and I ended up purchasing a full shower.     I went to Bath Planet on my neighbor's opinion and I was happy with owner of the franchise so just went ahead with it. I had a full remodel for a small bathroom in a condominium that I don't live in so I waited until the finishing touches are being put on and then I came and gave some input. Everything was done including the flooring, cabinetry, shower, bathtub, surround, and toilets.

    They were able to customize the cabinetry, which they were able to fit into the space that was allotted. I was very pleased. They're very honest and that's always important to me with construction because you run into delays. They also have a fair price for the most part based on knowledge I have on other remodels in my own home.     I am very resistant to purchasing anything but the Bath Planet salesman was a super salesman. He had all answers that solved all the world's problems. We got a surround and a shower put in. There was no shower in the bathtub so, we got a tub and shower unit. We had had other contractors who couldn't put a shower in our tub at all. We had half a wall and they would say there's no way it could be done but the salesman said that they could do it. We only have one toilet in the house so, we had to have somebody that worked quickly, not a contractor that would take a week or two to finish the job.

    A one-man-guy with his assistant came to do the installation. He was so talented and there was nothing he couldn't do. They tore out the whole bathroom and the old plastered walls, all the way to the studs. They put a new wall and rebuilt everything. They did it all in one day. It was done so well and it was amazing. We had more work done so, we had two days. We had the floor replaced and a brand-new toilet. They also had to put sub-flooring in and I had some wall-to-wall vinyl put in. All that was done on the second day. Even though it was spendy, it was worth it. It just worked out really well to have them do the job so quickly.

    I got a bathtub and a shower from Bath Planet four months ago. It looked like the stuff was good. I looked at the Consumer Affairs website to make sure that the company was on the up and up. I talked with the sales rep and he was good. I picked the color out and everything was set up. Then a technician came to do the installation, and the process took more than a few days.

    On the first day, the tech came to put the stuff in but I had a little trouble with him. I had to remodel since there were some metal flashings going around the window sill that were old and starting to rust, and these had to be replaced. But the tech was in a hurry and he wasn't going to take those out. I was standing over him and watching him work, and I had to let him know that he needed to fix and redo that, and replace the sill since I had paid $6,000 to have that taken out. I told him that the flashings were going to rust even more if he was going to just put something over them. So, he had to take a little longer to take them out like he was supposed to, then he put a full board around the window sill. I have pictures of this since I always make sure to take pictures of the whole process.

    Then the tech came back a second time to put the right parts in because he didn't have those initially. But he should've had all the parts since it had been weeks from when I first paid the down payment to when he came in. The tech didn't bolt tightly some of the stuff and left everything loose, and I had to screw these back in myself to make sure that they had been bolted tight. So, I had another guy come out to confirm if they were okay and he said that he had to tighten everything because nothing was bolted tightly.

    This tech also welded the pipes and he had to weld a new part where the drain is done and the water is turned on. When he was putting the pipes in, he might have miscalculated and pushed out one of the pipes that's connected to the water for my sink and to the outdoor faucet. He didn't screw the faucet in and it got pushed out of the wall too. If I turned the water on, the pipe would be shaking or moving, and I had to fix that because the pipe was loose. So, I called a plumber about this and I was told to put a block there, so I did that. The tech was supposed to come out again and look at this, but he came out when I wasn't there and he never came back. Later on, I got a call back from the reps and they asked me some questions. The bathroom seems to be fine now. The water is running and everything seems to be good. But if I had to do my bathroom remodel again, I might look somewhere else.

    Bath Planet came with a Good Housekeeping seal of approval and we thought it was going to be great experience. It turned out not to be. We contacted them and they scheduled an appointment to come out. The gentleman came out at around 7 PM on a weeknight. It was around 11 PM by the time we finally said, "Okay, we've had enough of the presentation. We want to go with you guys." We went ahead and agreed on the shower. It's $10,000 and he said, "Okay great. We can have this done in a couple of weeks. We just have to order the material. And once it comes in, we'll schedule. It'll only take two to three days. And if you want me to give a brief description, I can."

    They set up the schedule, and Paradise Home Repairs came and started up exactly on time. When they showed up and started to do the work order on the contract, I said, "Wait a minute. This doesn't say Bath Planet." They said, "Oh no. They do this all the time. They don't have a local office so we do all of the work for them. We're contractor with them. Don't worry." That should've been my first red flag. Bath Planet did not tell me that.

    As they were doing the installation, we noticed that they brought a plain glass. It was supposed to be a rain glass. So I called the project manager Dan (who is no longer with the company). I told them it was supposed to be rain glass, but they said the contractor said plain. I said, "Well, if you look at the work order that was written five minutes before the contract, it says rain glass." I also said, "I'm sorry but your salesman brought it up incorrectly. We ordered rain glass." He said, "Well, you're going to have to give me more money." I said, "No. I'll contact a lawyer if I need to." So he said, "Well, let me call you back."

    He told the guys to put the plain glass so we could at least use the shower because it was going to be at least two weeks before he could get the rain glass in. It took probably a month before we got the rain glass in and they were very hostile with it every time I tried to get information with them asking when would they would come back. So they came back, put it in, and we were fairly pleased. Not extremely pleased, but at that point, we were going through so much.

    The shower was no longer as wide as it used to be but they didn't tell us that was going to happen. And it did not look like the product that you see online and on their presentation. The shower that they did is attached to a wall tub that we have. We didn't want that replaced but we wanted the tile to match. We had tile and they had vinyl. When they were connecting the vinyl to the tile, they covered the chip in the tile up with the caulk that looks like toothpaste. I had been trying to get in touch with them since May to fix the issues. The sealant that's supposed to never show any dirt, mildew or mold, started to turn in color and getting specks of whatever in it, and I couldn't clean it. We can't use bleach. So I tried to use everything that was approved to clean it with and I couldn't get it clean.

    And water was building up and giving a film that was very smelly that was hard to clean. We had asked them to come out and drill some holes so the water would drain. We told them about the sealant and they kept saying they were going to get somebody back to this. Then I called and was going back and forth with the general manager. He finally called back and said, "All of these should not have happened. I'm so sorry. I'm going to get someone in touch with you. Just give me a little bit of time." A week went by and I didn't hear from him. So I called him back and I said, "Look, I told you I was going to the Better Business Bureau and to Good Housekeeping if I didn't hear about this. I'm tired of dealing with this. This was repeat of last month, a month and a half."

    So, he finally had a new project manager call and they said the time to come out. I asked if they were going to be here at 5 O'clock because I was going to have to leave work for them. He said, "Yes. We'll be there at 5 O’clock. If there's any change to that, we will call and let you know." I got home at 4:30 and was ready for them, 5 O'clock goes by, 5:30, 6:00... Finally at 6:20, I called Jeremy, who was the project manager, and said, "Where are you guys? No one's called me. So they went ahead and come by?" He said, "No. Let me call the guy and I'll call you back." And I said, "Jeremy, you told me that you, along with the contractor would be here at 5 O'clock. I left work early." He said, "Oh. Let me call and see where he is." He called me back and said, "Well, he's still got another hour."

    Now, this was at 6:30, and he's got another hour at a job which was probably about 45 minutes or an hour away from where we live. So that meant he was not going to get here until after 8:00 or 8:30 on a weeknight. And I told him, "That's not going to work." I filed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau because they still wouldn't get back in touch with me about rescheduling. And he lied to the Better Business Bureau and said they told me after 5 O'clock. Also, that he called me at 6 O'clock to let me know they were running late which was incorrect. And that they said that they could be here at 7:00.

    Finally, I turned it over to my husband. I told him I was not dealing with them anymore. He got in touch with them and said, "I want someone out here on Saturday at 9 AM." The guy said, "Well we don't want to come out. It's so early." My husband again said, "I want someone out here on Saturday at 9 AM. And they said, "Okay. We'll be there." They showed up this morning and we've learned that where the frame is, on the bottom that connects the door, the guy who installed it left parts out. He used the wrong sealant. So, he's going to have to order a new part. He drilled some holes so the water would drain, and he's going to come back and reseal the whole shower and try to fix the area where the chip in the tile was. But he said it could be another week or two before they get the part in. He also said that he would make sure that they get back at us for the third time.

    First off the product is great, the sales staff, field staff and the installers are all terrific! The customer interactions with the Project manager Brandon were abysmal. We never signed off on the final work, we were never given an evaluation form. Brandon never returned my calls. I was informed as a customer I was wrong many times when I called about an issue. No attempt on his part to resolve the issue. He told the installer to expect me to cancel the contract when he showed up the next day. He yelled/screamed at the installers so loud I could hear it through their phones.

    Before you sign or within the cancellation period find out the name of your project manager. If it is Brandon cancel the project immediately and find another Bath Planet to do the work. Our new acrylic shower is really awesome. One specific person Brandon the project manager just ruined the experience for just about everyone on the project and my rating is on the experience.

    We got a shower, new fixtures, glass door, and a new whole bathroom floor from Bath Planet. I dealt with a lady at the Southern Women show who was out to meet what I wanted. One thing that got my attention was that they weren't going to put something over what was already there, they were going to remove it. They also offered a $500 off on what we were looking for. So she set up an appointment and a salesman came already knowing what we were looking for, and that's what he had. It made it a lot easier even though he had many samples.

    The man who came to install was fully knowledgeable and capable of taking on this huge job by himself. He was running late one day but he called, apologized and he was here within the time he said. The only thing was that the salesman who came told us we'd be out of our bathroom for two days. But the guy that installed it said that everything has got to dry so we were out for three days. What we got was not bad but we were not prepared for the extra day. Other than that, it was a very easy and workable experience, they walked us through all the process.

    Bath Planet gave me an acrylic shower and replaced my tile for the bathroom remodel that I had with them. They came, I told them exactly what I needed and that's what they did.     I had a bathtub removed, and a shower, sink and countertop installed by Bath Planet. Their salesman sounded like he really knew what he was talking about. He sounded like this was the greatest company in the whole world. He sounded like we'd be perfectly happy. He sounded like everything would be done on time, and that everything was worth the money you paid for. However, they did the installation about a month later than scheduled. It was because of the lack of communication between the salesman, our understanding of what the salesman said and his communication with the office. I expected them to have a porcelain sink and they didn't. They said that I hadn't told them properly. Then when we finally had to get the manager in, they were very polite and personable.

    The work they did when it finally got done was very passable. I'm sure it will stand up to the test of at least five years. The workmanship is good and the people were very nice, personable and cheerful. I'm just not satisfied with what we got for the money. I just wish that I had shopped around a little bit more before I went with them. Overall, my experience was a disappointment. I feel respected and they treated me like a human being but the communication was terrible.

    We were at a home show in Charlotte not quite a year ago and, after a little arm twisting, we got a tub and surround and a shower surround to be replaced by Bath Planet. But I had a terrible experience with the sales rep that I almost threw him out of the house. Initially, they showed me all these things and they told me they’ll have their guy give me a final quote. That’s when they will have the customer say, “Yes. I want to do it.” But if the customer says, “No, I want to wait a little bit,” then they’ll say, “Well, that we’re gonna offer you is off the table.“ They never told me that upfront or I wouldn’t have them come back at the time they did. That was deceiving advertising, but I went with it anyway.

    The installation team was professional. The guys came in and did the best they could, but I had to step in a couple of times and tell them I don’t like the way how a few things are being done. I know what I’m doing when it comes to plumbing and the only reason I didn’t do it is because I didn’t want to take out a cast-iron tub. Otherwise, I’d have done the whole thing myself. And now there are a few things that I don’t like but, technically, I can’t do anything about it.

    I have one of those shower heads that’s got the multi-jets on it and you can adjust it up and down, left and right. But if you try to adjust that, the pipe coming out of the wall wiggles up and down and back and forth. I installed that the first time and it was solid as a rock. But after they pulled all the plumbing out and replaced it, it’s kind of funky. I had called them back because the spout on the tub did the same thing. The guy came back, he did something on the wall and it stiffened it up but it’s still weak. The only way to fix it is to go back in and take the cover off, strip it back down, and put copper pipe in there, and put the proper fitting in there. It’s a lot of work and would cost a lot of money to do.

    The second thing, the salesman showed me and my wife really nice fixtures. But when the guy starts putting them in, it wasn’t the same fixture style in the catalogue. And the service tech said, “Well, that’s what you get. The other one’s an upgrade.” And I told him their salesperson said otherwise. We had to go round and around on that and I finally got that fixed. And the third thing, the salesman told me that the corner is going to have a triple protection, it’s gonna have a piece they put in first in the corner before they put the two side pieces on it. But it wasn’t how the guy was doing it and when I asked him he said, “Well, we don’t install that anymore because we’ve had trouble with it not being flushed.” So, it’s just a caulked joint like anything else.

    Then they had to come back because one of the caulking joints that they did at the base of the shower broke loose and it was cracked down there. And he said I don’t have to worry about that but that’s supposed to seal the water. The end product is okay but the surface is not as tough as they say it is. Using a scrubber to get the scum off or anything like that could scratch the surface real easy. So buyer, beware.

    Prior to getting Bath Planet’s services, I did an online lookup and read the reviews on them and a few others that I was pricing. The reviews had a lot to do with why I chose them but it was their quickness in responding that got them the job because the other company was equally good in their reviews. I was also contemplating on acrylic panels as opposed to ceramic tiles, considering maintenance and longevity as my priorities, and with the pricing that were close, I ended up getting acrylic panels from Bath Planet. They also worked on my shower with shower base, a new floor base, plumbing, the walls and the semi-frameless glass doors.

    The sales rep knew his products and he was fast because they were competing against another brand. And Bath Planet came first. The process was fairly quick. I did it online then I got a call within an hour. And then, someone came the next day. They got AAPCO as their sub-contractor and they did an amazing job. Everything was really good, the cleanliness of the work as well as the communication while doing it. And the installation, when they say two days, it is two days. However, Bath Planet’s customer service in the Richmond location was bad. I sent them a question via email but I still haven’t heard back from them. It wasn’t a real big issue for me but if it ends up being an issue, then they’ll have to come back and stick by their lifetime manufacturer’s guarantee. But overall, I am very pleased with the contractor, the timeliness of the job, and the product. I will recommend Bath Planet.

    Bath Planet seemed to have a good track record, considering all the reviews. We had an estimate done and it was quick getting them to come out. The price was reasonable so we decided to go with them. The sales rep was good as well. He went through their spiel and explained a lot of things. We had done all our homework before so we were pretty educated and he really told us anything that we didn't know. But once it was done and we had given them the check, we didn't hear anything back for three weeks.

    I finally had to call and ask if we were still going to have this done or take an appointment and he explained that the waiting time was seven to eight weeks because they have to actually create the shower. He also said that they would give us a call in a couple of weeks when they're ready to schedule the installation. They were very nice about it and I knew it was going to be quite a while but I expected a follow-up call or an email since they did a lot of things through email when they were scheduling our estimate.

    The two guys who did the installation really knew what they were doing and they worked really quickly. They actually saved us some money because the sales rep neglected to tell us that we needed a certain part on our own and at one point, the installer asked us where the things were. We asked him what he was talking about and he told us exactly what we needed. He also apologized that we had not been told. So we went out to Home Depot but we got the wrong thing. We saw that the installers had the part and we asked if we could just buy it from them, but the installer suggested we might as well go back to Home Depot because theirs cost a ton more. They were going to charge $80 for this little part that we could get for $15 or less.

    We had our shower redone and the sink and the clip installed. After the work was completed, we never got any additional email or follow-up. They didn't give a survey or ask how our experience was. I get that they're busy and the company is small as far as they told us.     A girl at a small business show I went to told me about Bath Planet and I went on to purchase a tub from them back in March. I told the sales rep what I wanted and she did good. The installation team was good too. However, when they ripped the old one out, I wanted them to insulate the surround. The salesperson said it would be insulated with no problem and I bought insulation for them to stick in there because it was a big area, but it didn't all get insulated. All in all, I was happy with my experience. I shopped around and knew what I wanted, so they helped me get it.

    We got a new tub and surround from Bath Planet. We also bought fixtures that go with it. They had a rep come out with all the different samples and sat down with us. They had had different choices of the acrylics and things that are a patterned type. The installers were courteous but we had a mix-up. After we had placed the order, we changed our minds about putting glass doors on. The installers got here with the glass doors instead of the curtain rod so, they had to come back a second time and fix things. They were supposed to give us a credit and we had to call and remind them to get that credit. Other than that, we liked their product and we had a good experience.

    I’m very upset with the people in Bath Planet. They did the bathroom, and the walls and ceiling were dulled up. There was glue on the floor, there's a gash in my handle and a black mark on where you stand in on the righthand side. They also left a big hunk of wood out on the side and it’s molding. I had a complaint for it and they put it, but there was still gash on the floor. Also, when they did the caulking, I could feel it all over the side of the walls. It is thin in spots and thick in others. It was really bad. The guy even came in and took pictures because I complained so much. I told him, "You need to give my money back," and he said, "Oh no, we can't do that. We can't give your money back but we'll fix the faucet." But he never returned my call or came back.

    I even went to HomeAdvisor to get the information for them to come and the guy said, "We'll have it done in a day," but it was four days. They said they ran into problems but there were no molds and they always had an excuse and they said they're better at housekeeping. Plus, the guys who did the bathroom said, "We'll be gone and we'll be back. We'll be there at 8:00 in the morning," but they showed up at 10:30 and lied to me again the next days. They even smoked and my whole bathroom smelled of smoke.

    So, we painted the bathroom ourselves and we put new flooring down and had another guy fix the spa. I'm in upstate New York right now for the summer and this was done in March. I have all the paperwork back in South Carolina and I have tons of pictures and I'm going to call Consumer Reports and Better Business Bureau and go right to their place. Finally, they called me two weeks ago and wanted to know how I liked my shower. I was told by the agent that I need to get a hold of the owner. I told him the owner was the one who came to the house and he never got back to me. So when I get back in October, I'm going to show up at the store. I've never been treated this way in New York, even in my whole life, and we've only been in South Carolina for five years. It's ridiculous that I paid $10,000 and I got treated this way.

    Bath Planet opened up their new shop a block from where my sister lives and we drive by it every day. Then they had a booth at the fair. So I got that from them including a corner seat. They also put in an extra soap dish and bar. Their sales rep showed me different ones and helped me with the color. Then their installers did a really good job putting those products in our bathroom. They found some rot in there, too and they took all that out. It only took them two days to finish and besides the dust, I was happy with the installation.

    I referred Bath Planet to our neighbor and she just had hers done yesterday.     I looked at only three companies providing remodeling service. I did not like the way that one company finished off the vinyl and the surround. With the second company, on the other hand, I didn't like any of their paneling colors. They probably did quality work but with the color offerings of the vinyl, there wasn't anything that I was willing to do. When I went in and looked at a show model that Bath Planet had, they showed the color I was considering. The reps were great. I talked to both their sales person and the owner, and we ended up talking for a long time.

    I had visits from all three companies within a week of each other and the Bath Planet rep made me a better deal. He said that if I can place the order on Monday or whatever day it was, he will get the product then. That took about a week. Then about two weeks later, they were able to do the installation which went smoothly. They ripped up the tub and then put in the shower. Three days after they had installed it, I have to call them about a water leak down into the basement and someone came up that afternoon or the next day. The issue was just a loose connection and I needed to tighten it up.

    The people at Bath Planet had good customer service and they were knowledgeable. Plus, there wasn't a huge wait-time. I didn't have a definitive date because it would have to be done anyway. Even if I would have to wait six weeks, I wouldn't have cared. I never liked to give somebody the top rating because there's always room for improvement but I would definitely recommend Bath Planet to somebody else and I'd have them do the remodel in my home again if I have the second bathroom.

    I got a complete shower stall from Bath Planet. My wife said dealing with their sales rep was great but for me it was a little bit on the pushy side. One man came in and did the whole installation. He was very personable. We had a problem about some electrical lines going over top of 2x4's and some water pipes and I did the adjustment with the pipes. He went around and did some other things. It's not like all of sudden he comes to a stopping point, he had to stop, which was good for me. It was all done in one day and it turned out really nice.     The shower we bought last year started off great but about 11 months in the caulk around the base of the shower started to quickly fall off to the touch. Basically anywhere water makes contact with the caulk it will eventually fall off. We were told that the caulk would last between 8-10 years but clearly that is not the case. For the past two weeks we have been trying to get anyone from Bath Planet to come out and fix it but it's been one excuse after another. We originally had an appointment scheduled for Saturday but that was moved because we were told the installer has an appointment in another city very far away. When I called the office to ask why I was told by a different person in the office that they didn't even serve the area they said they had a shower install at. So, basically we were lied to.

    The next appointment had to be on a Thursday which was very hard for my wife and I to take time off work so we could be at the house when they arrived to fix their mistake. About an hour before our appointment the main office called and said the contractor hurt his back and is at the doctor's office. I'm almost positive this is also a lie considering I work in the health care field and unless you have a doctor on retainer I don't see how you can hurt your back and 1 hour later are being seen by a specialist. When I questioned the person who called me they became flustered and started changing the story.

    This whole experience has opened my eyes to Bath Planet. They do not back up their work and will make every excuse possible to get out of fixing their terrible work. They will push appointments in order to make room for shower installs which makes sense considering they have yet to close the sale and new customers are far more important than previous customers. We are giving up and I am going to caulk the shower myself. I'm positive this will somehow void the warranty but what good is a warranty if you cannot get someone out to fix their terrible work. Buyer beware!

    We had Bath Planet take our tub out and put a shower in. Their sales rep was pretty good, but Bath Planet is ripping people off. They’re not getting more business from me. They charged me $8,000. And I was so crazy, I wanted it done. If I had to do it over again, I would have gone out and did it myself. It could have been cheaper.

    I’m not too satisfied with what Bath Planet had done. The handle was loose on my shower. I called them to tell them they needed to send somebody out. That was about three months ago and they never sent anybody out. I fixed it myself and that way I don’t have to deal with them. The guys who they sent out were supposed to fix the floor if there’s anything bad. I had Benjamin Franklin do replumbing throughout the house. They redid my floor and had to dig out something out of the shower stall and fix it. The guy who did the stuff had to refund me $350 before I paid the guy who works for Benjamin Franklin. He was unhappy with that though.

    We wanted someone local to install a shower. In the beginning, the sales rep from Bath Planet was fine. She showed us exactly what it was and the prices. She also showed slides and other successes. It was good and we knew what was coming. When their installation team came, they put the drop cloth all over the whole area to get to the bathroom. They raised the ceiling because it was lowered before, and then put the shower in and the floor. They worked hard and they were very clean. However, it took a little longer than I expected.     We only had a tub and we wanted a shower put in too, so we had a new tub and shower deal with Bath Planet in March or April. We had glass doors put on as well and we also had a grab bar and the tier corner thing. I wanted something more than an apartment-type bathroom and what Bath Planet had was more expensive, but I went with them and paid good money for their products, figuring that they knew what they were doing.

    The sales representative, Bob, was fine and his level of knowledge was within reason. The installers were in and out, and they were good. The only thing was that we had faucets and other fixtures made of chrome, and everything came out right except for the showerhead which is made of a different, silver, non-polished type of material. The rep said that they were going to send the correct, matching showerhead to us in a couple of weeks, and I told them to put it in if they bring it, but I've never heard from him and that issue has never been resolved. Nevertheless, everything was fine with Bath Planet, except for them not getting that showerhead the right way.

    I have tripped and almost fallen out of the bathtub. Bath Planet knocked on my door and they wanted to put in a walk-in shower and take out the bath tub. It was $11,000 and I said, "No, thank you." Then they said that they can do something with my bathtub and make it a little safer for me to get in and out of it. So I talked to them and they showed me what it would look like and how they'd do it.

    The installation team was okay but they didn't come prepared. They didn't have all the pieces that they needed and had to go and get those so they took all afternoon to get it done. What they did is cut out about 18 inches down the side of my bathtub and then put a topping on top of that. And then they put that down over that and they left about four inches depth in the tub that the water won't run out because I just take showers. So the shower curtain comes down below that and keeps the water from getting out. They also added the bar.

    I love what they did to my bath tub and it's very helpful. I haven't fallen in or out of the bathtub. It works fine. However, it was more expensive than I thought it should be. When they got it all finished, my grandson said that he could have done that for half the cost. Nevertheless, it's a great product and I've recommended Bath Planet to my friends if they want their bathtub fixed where they can get in without being a hazard.

    My husband and I grew up in Madison all our lives and Ganser had been around. We checked out a couple of other places and we weren't happy. They never got back to us and so we just decided to go with Ganser because we're familiar with it. Their sales representative was cool and I liked him. He was there for us all the time and willing to deal. We'd like to get a cheaper price and they gave us all kinds of discounts. There were two guys during installation and they were wonderful, friendly and good.

    We had a new shower stall put in and we added a four shelving in the shower. We went from floor to ceiling and then across the ceiling in the shower since we didn't have that before. The shower stall also came with the half-moon shower bars for the shower curtain. They provided us with the safety bar, new faucet and showerhead. They cleaned up after everything. They laid tarps out all over the house where they had to go through and they explained things to me. It only took them a day and a half to do this. They did a great job. We’re very, very happy and we had no problems with it. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

    There was a show in Madison where Bath Planet had a booth and I talked to their very knowledgeable rep. She was very educational and had given me some update on new technology. I had a terrific time with her. I did three quotes of three different companies and we did the Ganser one last because I knew how that system works. Everybody had a great system but then Ganser had the best price. It was icing on the cake. I got the tub, surround, a grab bar, and one shelf. I was with the guy who installed them the whole time because I like to watch that stuff and help. He was super and a great installer. He listened to all my concerns because I had installed the previous one. He was helpful in answering my questions and everything was done professionally. We had to make a couple of minor modifications but nothing significant.

    The thing I was concerned about was making sure that there wasn't any leakage. It's a great system for eliminating any possible mold build up and leakage. There's a lot of backup systems that they put into this to protect it. The sealing system that they utilize is foolproof as long as it's installed properly by the right person. This system does the job. I've already mentioned the system and how it worked to family members and some friends. We're thrilled with it. Everything is working out terrific.

The sales representative was really great and helpful but there was a little bit of confusion when the install guys came. They said the sales guy told me something incorrect but the install people resolved it all just fine so it didn't end up being an issue. The installers were in and out quick. They were great and dealt with my construction mess. I'm overall happy with the product.

    I had Bath Planet install a shower for me with a seat in it. The product that they were offering looked like what I wanted so I contacted them. The rep I spoke with was efficient. And the guy who installed it was awesome. He was very good at what he did, and it was done in a very timely manner. It took him 2 days to complete it. He could have used a little help though because it was a one-man operation. I felt sorry for him a bit because he had to tow big heavy stuff around by himself.     On 8/8/2016, we made an appointment with Bath Planet to have someone come to the house, look at a master bedroom shower we were considering replacing, and give us an estimate. A salesman showed up and gave us a 3-hour high-pressured sales presentation, and everything he showed us represented Bath Planet. It was 11:00 PM before we finally said we needed to wrap this up, and he brought out the quote sheet that said Paradise Home Improvement, not Bath Planet! He assured us we had nothing to be concerned about, that they represent Bath Planet, and all of their work is 100% guaranteed. He kept mentioning that Bath Planet has the Good Housekeeping Seal, and we wouldn’t be disappointed. We went ahead and signed the contract, and that is when the nightmare began.

    The materials were ordered, and a 3-day appointment for installation was made in October for installation, and they assured us everything would be completed in that timeframe. However, when they started to install the glass, we noticed it was plain glass, not the “Rain” glass we requested. When the installer called Dan, the Project Manager, Dan said the contract did not mention anything about Rain glass. I got on the phone with him, and pulled up the work order that our salesman wrote up the same night as the contract, and it clearly listed we wanted Rain glass. He tried to get extra money from us, but once he compared the work order and the contract and they had the same pricing, he said he would order the rain glass for us. It took another two weeks to get the materials and the installation completed.

    We paid over $10K for a shower system that was supposed to be easy to clean, and we would never have to worry about mold or mildew. Water is building up under the glass door frame, and it is very difficult to clean. We need holes drilled to let water drain after showers. The sealant around the base of the shower has black spots behind it that we cannot clean. I have used three of the approved products to clean this shower, and it never looks clean. Also, when they joined the acrylic tile to our tile bathtub, they chipped the real tile, and the caulk they used to cover it looks terrible! We are very dissatisfied with the product, their lack of customer service, and the constant lies and false promises. Below is a timeline outlining how long we have been trying to get this taken care of with Paradise Homes, supposedly doing business as Bath Planet:

    5/1/2017 – Contacted Dan (Project Manager) via text and phone call to let him know the problems we were having with the door frame retaining water and the mold/mildew spots in the sealant. Memorial Day Weekend – Received a voicemail from Robert, a contractor, who stated Dan asked him to call and set up an appointment to look at our shower. We were traveling that weekend, so I called him and left a message when we returned. I never heard another word from him. Several attempts were made at various times to try to get in touch with Dan, but he would not return phone calls or text messages.

    7/24/2017 – I called and left a voicemail for Dan to call me to schedule an appointment. While I was in a meeting at work, he called and left a message saying he was in Monroe, and he could stop by the house to look at the shower if I called him in the next five minutes. When I got out of my meeting, I immediately called him, and he said I was too late. I explained to him that we would need notice as to when someone was coming to the house. He said he would get in touch with one of the contractors, and have them schedule a time with us.

    8/2/2017 – I had not heard a word from anyone about scheduling a visit, so I called and left a voicemail for Jeff **, the General Manager of Paradise Homes. In the voicemail, I explained the problems we’ve been having with the shower, and that I have been trying to get someone to come out since May. I let him know that I would be contacting the BBB and Good Housekeeping to report the problems. He immediately called me back and said this was unacceptable, and he would move us “to the front of the list” to have someone look at our shower.

    8/10/2017 – I still had not heard anything from Jeff or a contractor regarding scheduling an appointment. I called to ask what the holdup was, and Jeff assured me we were on the schedule for the following week. When I asked him when we were scheduled, he said he couldn’t remember what day, but that he was sure he saw us on the production schedule. He said he would have someone get back with me to let me know.

    8/18/2017 – Another week went by with no word from Jeff, until he called with a “Customer Service follow-up” call to see how everything was going. I told him I still had not heard from anyone, and I would be contacting BBB. He said there was no need to do that, he had fired Dan, and he would have the new Project Manager call me BY NOON on Monday, 8/21/2017. 8/21/2017 – Never heard a word from a scheduler or Jeff **.

    8/22/2017 – At 2:00 pm, I received a message from Jeremy **, a scheduler, to get some notes about the problems we have been having, and he said he wanted to get someone out to help ASAP. I called him right back, and he asked how soon he could come out, and he would bring a technician with him to make the repairs. I told him I could be available at 5:00 PM the next day, 8/23/2017. He said he would be there with a technician at 5:00 PM, and he assured me he would call if there were any changes.

    8/23/2017 – I left work early so I could be home by 5:00 PM. By 6:20 PM, no one had shown up or called, so I called Jeremy ** to ask him why no one had come by or called to let me know they were running late. He said he had a technician that was in Rock Hill and was coming to Monroe, and he would need to call him. Jeremy called me back at 6:30 PM, and he said the technician was still at another job site, and he had at least another hour of work that he needed to complete before he could get to our house.

    Jeremy said the technician could still come, but he probably would not get there until after 8:00 PM. I asked Jeremy why no one had called to let me know, and he could not give me an explanation. I also reminded him that Jeremy said he would come to the house along with the technician, so I felt I was lied to again. He said, “I could have been there at 5:00 PM, but I couldn’t actually do the work!” At that point, I told him I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau. 8/24/2017 - Filed complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

    I bought a bathtub from Bath Planet three months ago. It was a deeper bathtub and they restored the walls so, it looks a lot better. The sales representative and I had a good interaction. We got what we wanted for the price we wanted. However, it took more than months to get the product installed. Dan, the manager, had people who installed it do it the wrong way and we told him we specifically didn't want the bathroom fixture facing a certain direction. He brought that one in anyway because it was in the warehouse though he said that it was a mistake.

    When they installed the walls, there was a crack behind the knob where you turn on the water. He kept on saying he's going to fix it. It took forever for him to come over and get it fixed. And when he did, he looked at it and said they can just fill in the pillar to which I said no. We paid for the whole thing and we want a wall that's complete. What he was trying to do was put another wall on top of that one which would throw everything off because it'd be thicker on one side than the other. He told the people to pack it up and leave. And my wife said we're going to call a lawyer. They left and after 30 minutes, they came back.

    We had nothing but problems with the manager and we won't deal with him again and his company. It took two months to get the whole thing installed. They had to reorder the bathtub and everything else even though we said what the bath was supposed to be and it was on paper too. So it's nothing we made up. I would never recommend them. It could have been a better experience if everybody was on the same sheet of music. The workers did what they had to do. But the manager tried to cut the cost by giving somebody else the bathtub and trying to slide it out in the wrong way

    I ordered from Bath Planet a tub that's supposed to have a little gate so I could get in it but I was not pleased with what I got. They did not fix it and I have to lift up the thing that is across the tub. What they did was not a gate like what the consultant has told me it was going to be and I also had not seen or heard from him since then. I tried to call him but I couldn’t get the right number. I'm 80 years old who can't get around and he was such a smooth talker and he took advantage of me. He got a whole lot of money for nothing much.

    It didn’t take three hours for Bath Planet to make a big amount of money for a little bit of job. They took a hole in the tub, put some safety guards, put the thing that one got to raise up to get in the tub and put it out. I should’ve known better with having my children to come down and look and oversee it. Bath Planet charged me a whole lot of money, amounting to about $5000 and I went ahead with what they did and I'm sending my payments every month. It doesn't make sense. I then bought a little stool to sit down in the tub they did so I'm still in the same fix I was in. I'm not satisfied and they jilted me.

    I saw the video of Bath Planet and they not only did construction but also handicap bathtubs. I needed one because of my wife’s condition. I called them and had them do the installation. It was a big project. I bought it in December and it took a couple of weeks to get everything organized and ordering the tub. They had to take out a big, plate glass window and a four-legged claw tub and then put this through the window and close it back up again. Once they got all the materials, it only took less than a week to do the whole project and I'm very happy with that.

    It’s a Jacuzzi-type handicap tub and in the installation process, they had to do a full skirting all the way around the backside and the sides and molding down the front on one side. There was no shimming and it got approved by all the licensing stuff and contractors that they have to have the approval for. Normally, you would fit and install it against the shower but this was free standing and it was being put in place of one of those four-legged claw, antique tubs that weigh 400 pounds which was a beast to get out through the window. Fortunately, we had a big, plate glass window. There was more work to this and they did a beautiful job. They put a backsplash on it in case of overspray.

    I got the 50-gallon type and now, I need a faucet but it’s got the hair washing piece to it too. So, it’s a full-on deal. The Jacuzzi also lights up. This is a top-of-the-line package of a handicap tub because you walk into it, then close the door and then it seals when you close the handle on it. It was the owner of the company I dealt with and we had a great relationship. He got everything taken care of. I was very pleased with the whole process.

    My bathroom was really bad and I needed it redone. Bath Planet came out, checked it and said they could do it. Then they made suggestions but it was just adding stuff and making the price higher. I’m so easy to talk into things and my dad and I said okay, not knowing anything about anything. They pushed me too hard to make quick decisions and I didn't like that. I should’ve taken the time and talked to other people about it to see about the price. We didn’t realize that my neighbor does remodeling and he could’ve been done it for half the price. Bath Planet overpriced everything and I felt like I was taken advantage of. They redid my bath, shower and floor, and took the vanity in. That was about a year ago and I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for eight months to get out here, look at it and redo my floor. I’ve called and left messages and they’re not calling back. I’m too sick of them.

    It took them about a week to do the work and it seemed like they did a good job but then my friends who painted the walls pointed out things that weren’t done right that we were dumb clueless about. One of the installers kind of knew what he was doing and the other one didn’t. The flooring is really cheap stuff and the floor even has an air pocket so it’s not flat. It also looks like they ran out of materials. They didn’t measure right so on one part of the wall you can tell that they put another piece of the tile. They tried to redo it and make it match but it didn’t. I’ve also got a cut where they set something in the baseboards that didn’t fit and they just left that there. The guy even recommended one of the curved curtain rods they gave me but it weighs down. My shower curtain and my outside curtain hit the floor and they said they can't fix it.

    I also had a regular tub put in mostly because everything was the same as when they bought the house in the 70’s and we have well water that's turning the old tub blue and it was also cracked. What I didn’t realize was that it’s gonna cost that much. I’m not happy at all specially for $11,000. I’d expected more. Plus, what's funny is they've asked customers to call people and find out how their work is. I’ve had two people call me and I told them I wouldn’t have it done. I told them it’s overpriced and they didn’t do a good job and they won’t have them come back to fix it either.

    I like Bath Planet and it's the best choice. We had a pantry that I needed to convert into my shower and I called Bath Planet to see if they could do that. I called the office, someone came to our home, and talked to us about it and we purchased the shower that day. They did a great job remodeling the pantry into a handicap accessible shower and it's wonderful.

    The installer came for three days and then plumbers came in for a short time. They were above reproach. Everybody was very respectful of our home. I'm disabled so they had to make accommodations for me getting to the restroom. I am short and they had me fit in the shower and measure so that the seating and footing were comfortable. It's been a year and a half and one of the little brackets wasn't staying attached right. I called and Bath Planet was out that week and repaired it. The service and response were great. I would be miserable without the shower. We travel some and one of the things I look forward to about coming home is getting back to my shower. I have recommended Bath Planet to my friends who are also disabled.

    Bath Planet had what I wanted so I got them to do the shower for me about two years ago. The sales guy was also really nice. He came to my house, showed me a bunch of stuff and told me about the financing. Then they measured the shower and I got to change my colors and accessories. The installer was great and I still have his phone number on my cellphone. He came out a day early because he was able to finish up his previous job. He started the process, did some analysis and figured out what he needed to do. He went above and beyond and even helped me move some stuff that I couldn’t move by myself. My dad had passed away and I had some heavy stuff. It didn't take a lot of time but it meant a lot to me that they were there and helped me with a couple of things.

    Also, one of the gentlemen who came out helped me get the best tiling crew for my dad's house. I was in a bad position with this tile situation and it was beyond the scope of his ability to do the work. But he said that he has a friend that does tile, whipped out his phone and called his friend. Everybody with Bath Planet has been so nice and excellent. I wish I had used them to redo my shower and tub here where I live. Their work is way better than what we had because there's no grout and we don’t have to deal with the molds and the mildew.

    We started this process March 21, 2017. The salesman was here and we got the ball rolling. Then April 4 another representative from the company came to takes measures, color choices, etc. After that we did hear from anyone for weeks. Finally called the Omaha office and talked with Shelley. After talking with her we did get a response from the project manager that they were waiting on materials. Still waiting. Only time we hear any news about the project is if I initiation the call. Sure feeling like we are getting the run around. Made another call at the end of May. Was told that they were still waiting on items for our project.

    Called again in June, got another call... Waiting on items. Where the hell are the items coming from, a slow boat from China? Got another call in July saying that everything was in and we could expect installation in 2nd or 3rd week of August. Have heard nothing from them. I called today (August 7) and did get a very quick response from a new project manager. He said everything was in and that they hoped to start the project the week of the 21st. He said he would call us back on August 9th and let us know the schedule. At first we were so excited to be getting our bathroom redone but now, not so much. If the project is done soon we are pulling the plug. This has been so damn frustrating. We want to enjoy this new bathroom before we are too old to give a crap. I'd give the order # but there isn't one on our paperwork.

    It was a very good experience dealing with Bath Planet. They did a great job and they did exactly what they said they were gonna do. About four months ago, we had our tub replaced with an oversized shower and had flooring put in. Bath Planet did absolutely everything. They replaced the plumbing that was necessary. They cover you for when they take down the old units. If they find any damage, they take care of the damage even though they don't know what it's gonna be ahead of time. They were able to work with us to get fitted in the place we wanted. They've got some tile through areas where there wasn't any before. They made some changes through the structure before they could tile over it. It was a very thorough process.

    Their sales rep was very thorough. When we had any concerns, they answered it promptly. The lead handler of the installation team was absolutely excellent. He went ahead and did everything. He explained what he was doing if you asked him and they just work very hard. They had their work done in a couple of days in spite of some problems about the plumber who did not show up on time. They still got the job done on time. The second day, they were here until 11 o'clock in the evening and the workmanship is excellent. They were a bit high on the price but they did a very good job.

    We purchased a walk-in shower from Bath Planet. We took the bathtub out and put in a pan. Then we used their laminate along the walls and the ceiling, and put in a different nozzle and a seat, and we're good to go. We noticed that we weren't using the bathtub very much and we've got two bathrooms, so we just decided to put a shower in our master bathroom. The installers were great and professional. They came in and did the work. One of the parts was messed up from the factory, so one guy went and got a replacement part. Then they came in and put it in. But we need to call them back because there seems to be a rattle in the pipes. We've been putting it off because we're in the middle of doing the whole bathroom. But I like the product and it was a pretty nice experience. I would recommend them.

    I started getting older and could hardly get in and out of the bathtub, so I wanted to get a walk-in. We had the walk-in shower installed by Bath Planet, but I'd rather have the walk-in tub. The sales representative was all right and really nice. When the installation team came in, they tore the whole bathroom out and remodeled it. They also did all the re-plumbing. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience.

    I saw Bath Planet at a home show and their product was what we were looking for. It was a simplified, more cost-effective approach than what we were thinking of doing. We got one of those full insert showers from them and they also redid our flooring about a year ago. It was all positive with the sales rep except that he left shortly after making the sale, so everybody we were talking to afterwards didn’t have that intimate knowledge of what we said was important to us at the sale. There was a lot of having to repeat certain things, such as what was to be included, but since these weren’t written down and that guy was no longer there, these had to be worked out.

    Probably the biggest hiccup was when the installation team first installed the shower. A day after the installers left, we saw that the shower didn’t drain but crowned in the middle ever so slightly. You wouldn’t notice it until you put water in the shower and then realize that there was a quarter inch deep pool of water that was never going to drain in all the four corners. So, I contacted Bath Planet and the installers scheduled to come back, but because they had done a level installation, they determined that the problem was due to a manufacturer’s defect. So, they reordered the whole thing, ripped off the shower, and put in a brand new unit. We have hard water from a well out in the country, so that would end up staining the corners because the water didn’t drain, but the Bath Planet guys quickly came out and corrected the issue.

    In addition, there are vertical corner pieces in the shower that have shelves on them to hold soap and shampoo, and they’re incredibly thin. If you had a pencil, you could poke through them easily, and I could probably push my fingernail through them. I make sure that we're gentle with these corner pieces. It seems that, in the mold, they're pushing too much material through and they need to put more material into it. Making these corner pieces a little thicker would have gone a long way with what doesn’t appear to be any real difference in expense. They just need to make these thicker or coat their backside with something hard like fiberglass. Nevertheless, we've been happy with the product and I've already recommended Bath Planet twice.

    I had started with another remodeling company but the service wasn’t exactly what I needed or expected. That's simply because I drove by it. Then I did a random Google search because Springfield, Illinois doesn’t have a ton of bathroom specialist and Bath Planet came up. I read a few of the reviews, decided to give them a call, and I had a fantastic experience.

    There was a lot of planning, scheduling and all sorts of goodies. I started the full bathroom remodel in our master bedroom a year ago and they completed it in February. It was fully customized and Mike Bulpitt, the owner of the Bath Planet here, was amazing. There was nothing that I wasn’t allowed to bring to the table or discuss. If I asked for something, even if it wasn’t something that they customarily did, he would always check whether it can be done, then I would get an immediate phone call saying they can accommodate it. I was very much in the driver seat and they were there to make sure that I got the greatest value for my money.

    Jamie, the installer, was part of the family for months and he was fantastic. It helped that he called me boss all the time and let me do pretty much anything I wanted to do. He was very respectful of our home and took the same care with it that he would with his own property and with his own decisions. We also had a lot of very frank conversations. He didn’t tell me what to do but if there were things that he wouldn’t or would do if it was him, he would tell me. And even if I went a different direction, he was very supportive of anything that I would want to do. Our dogs also like him.

    Mike laughed at me because I did an online review form where I put in there that everyone was very respectful and very polite to dogs. I told him that it might seem kind of stupid, but as a dog owner with no children, if the guys were going to be mean to animals, they’re not coming to my house. My dogs are Australian Shepherd mixes, so they're pretty protective of me but they were perfectly fine with everybody that came in.

    BUYER BEWARE. Sold product very well. Took 4 months before install started, we had to tell contractors what we wanted. Then 3rd day of install Dan came to house to communicate with contractors what was suppose to go on. We were told it would be a 10 day install (no problem) but here we are on Day 15 (with no end in sight) and Dan calls @ 8:47 am to say he needs the contractor to change a hot water heater at Bath Planet (a rented building) but Contractor told us he replaced it last Thursday. You have been warned. Now the contractor is great and has done wonderful work. Should have just used him and not Bath Planet.

    About a year and a half ago, Bath Planet was at the right place at the right time when they were at a home and garden show that was in Yuma. We were ready to have our bathroom redone, so we went ahead and got ahold of them. The sales reps were very informative and weren't pushy. We had the tub removed, a new walk-in shower put in, and the installation team was very good. I figured it'd take them all day but they were in and out within a total of about six hours. Bath Planet was very easy to work with and I would recommend them.

    We have a walk-in tub from Bath Planet for more than a year now and it is functioning fine. The salesman who came to the house was very nice, polite, informative and seemed to know his product very well. He looked at the bathtub we were having taken out and did some measurements. He then passed the measurements on because the installation guys were prepared when they came. The installation team was also very polite and did a very good job since they have filled in the spaces with pieces of fiberglass and that worked just fine with the tub. But they scraped paint off a few places within in the house. So next time, I would make sure I had it in writing that they had to fix any paint that they chipped off the doorways.

    I was looking for someone to remodel a bathroom for me and I saw Bath Planet. They offered financing and so I went with them. It was a horrible experience. They started work in mid-January and finished early March of this year. Also, the sales representative promised something that the actual installers did not deliver. He fluffed it up and made it sound great.

    They had two sets of installation teams. While I liked the first set, they quit halfway through so Bath Planet had to replace them. They put in a new floor and it's like there's air underneath it. I have asked them to replace it but I'm not getting anywhere with Bath Planet. I've been calling them - the project team lead and the executive management of the company, but I've been having a hard time getting a response from them. I've very dissatisfied with Bath Planet and I would never do it again with them.

    Bath Planet was the third remodeling company I interviewed and they seemed to have a lot better product and friendlier people working for them. Their sales reps were knowledgeable. They asked me a lot of questions and answered all of mine. I’m a disabled vet and I needed easy access but we have a tub with very tall sides and I could barely get in it. I purchased a walk-in shower and Bath Planet gave me exactly what I needed. The installation team did a really good job. We laughed, joked and had a good time. Overall they are a great company, with great workmanship and good price for the product. Keep up the good work.
