    The representatives Trenton and Levi were a great help. They came Monday afternoon and explained in detail each of the equipment Vivint has to offer. They also answered all of my questions providing extra information.     Our tech was great, but there was a lot of complex administrative stuff that had to happen before the tech could do anything. Given the 4 hour installation time window, having this (which included review of numerous disclosures and a video guided survey I could not skip through) right at the beginning of the installation window and was tough. I had to leave an important virtual meeting to walk through 20 minutes of admin stuff - if I had been able to do this at the end would have made for a much better experience.

    I wanted to pay off my equipment. 30 minutes on hold. Verification process needs to be updated. I can't memorize every security password. There needs to another avenue. Due to the customer service agent's accent I ripped her a new one when she told me that the only way she could help was was with the password and I could not understand she was trying to tell me she could email the password. She then put me on hold permanently. I can understand why. She has a tough job. Verification process needs to be updated. I still need to pay my equipment off. Additionally, you have a walk in store where I can't make payments. Why do you even have a store? The customer service with Vivant had been disappointing and I am trying to give you money. I would have thought you want to make that easy, instead I get stuck in telephone hell.

    Wonderful tech named Mike came to my house, made sure everything was working as I bought existing equipment with purchase of house. However He could not access a second order that a salesman named Remy forced on me saying I was a new customer. A rep named Cindy saw the second account when I called for a new appt because the tech Remy ordered never showed up. She promised me that the $160 something that Remy insisted I pay in advance on my American Express card would be refunded/credited back. I would like a written confirmation of that as the good tech Mike could not find it on his computer.

    My service was exceptional. My questions were answered and my home was respected during installation. Justin called after installation to be sure all went well. Blake did an excellent installation and explanation of how to use the service and install on my phone. There was one problem with the keypad to enter my internet password. Vivint does not have a comma on the keypad and I had a comma in my internet password. Blake had to go to the router to connect. He made it all happen although I could not enter my password due to no coma. I armed my system last night and even though I feel safe in my home, there was a more secure feeling. Thank you.

    I had a terrible experience with Vivint home security system installation. To start, the technician was an hour late and stayed an hour over. This is time I did not plan for and it was very inconvenient as I had plans. He did not offer me any advice on which products to install where and instead left me, a person who has never had a security system, in charge of choosing where and what sensors were installed. I was told by the representative that Vivint would uninstall the current (nonfunctional) system, but he refused to take down any of that equipment. He then began installing the smart hub in the middle of my wall, a location we had not decided upon. I was able to stop him before he made any permanent installation but I would have much preferred him ask before choosing a random location in my home.

    After installing the smart hub he moved onto the front door. I asked him to install the doorbell where the previous one had been, but instead he chose a different location that I am not pleased with. Unfortunately, he had already drilled through my brick and wall so I could not change the placement of this. He also installed the smart lock on my front door without asking. I did not want the smart lock on my front door, but instead had planned on putting it on my most frequently used door, the garage door. He was able to replace my previous lock, but he should have never have installed your equipment without asking me. I noticed once he left that he did not install two sensors on my window, so I will need a different technician out to install those.

    As soon as he left, I went to dinner and set the alarm on “Away” and shortly after I received a call that my alarm had been triggered. I was told multiple times that the motion sensors are smart enough to distinguish between humans and animals, but it appears my 35 pound dog set off the motion sensor. This was terribly inconvenient as I had to leave dinner and call a neighbor to go check on my home. I am overall displeased and would not recommend Vivint to my friends or family.

    After being a customer with another security company (founded over 100 yrs ago) for a few years, I felt that they were not providing the security I wanted. I decided I wanted to add more cameras. They sent a tech over and he said he was unable to set my backyard camera where I wanted because it would not get a clear angle of the yard. They wanted to run a wire over my bathroom tub to get the angle they wanted. I did not agree. So, after the first tech left, I called the company to complain and they sent another tech. He said the same thing as the first. Fortunately, I did not install the camera because I felt that their opinion was not valid.

    When a Vivint salesman randomly came to my door, I was really glad to see him. I told him my experience and concerns. He informed my that the install I wanted for the backyard camera seemed doable. He immediately got a tech on FaceTime to go over the setup and he confirmed it could be done. The salesman also let me know all the other services Vivint provided. I decided to switch companies. The backyard camera is where I thought it could be installed. It has a clear view of my entire yard. I don’t understand why the other company could not do this but am very happy I switched. I also had an additional 3 more cameras w/ the alarm system to cover the entire house. I am paying almost the same monthly charges as I was paying for just a doorbell camera and alarm system. So far I am very pleased with Vivint. They are true professionals!

    The process to setup was fast. I received an appointment a couple of days after I called in to setup service. The technician was in time and setup everything to my liking. The only thing that upset me was the sales associate did NOT disclose to me that there would be a hard credit check once the technician showed up. When I called in the sales associate said he was doing a “soft credit check” to see if I qualified which I agreed to. But when the technician showed up and went over the services and disclosures with me on his tablet that’s when he told me about the “hard credit check”.

    I was very upset to the point that I was going to cancel the entire thing. But I needed a security system and continued with it. Also I found it odd that the finance company will be charging me separately from the Vivint bill. I had Vivint at a prior address and we were bill in one bill. I feel everything needs to be disclosed when potential customers initially call in regarding hard credit checks.

    Our neighborhood and city seem to be having an increase in outside people bringing violence into the neighborhood. Recently two cars having a shootout while racing on our streets. Bullets that missed their targets went into people's yards and homes. Police canvased the neighborhood looking at videos from security cameras to help identify the culprits. Vivint reps came into the area with presentations about their available system and products. We decided to improve our security with their product.

    One of their techs was in the area and came by to install everything. Installation started within an hour or so and things were done immediately and finished before the installer left. The Vivint staff were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. If you might be interested in improving your security this company should be one you check out. There is a piece of metal in the way. He knew it wasn’t right and left anyway. Plus the front doorbell screen sometimes loads and sometimes doesn’t. It freezes. I am very disappointed.
