    When I signed up for Vivint, I was promised that all I had to do was ask and they would be around to help. When I needed help, there was little. I had the system for some years. When I called for help the last time, there was none. I changed systems. I had to pay about $850 to get out of the contract. I felt like they should have paid me. Next thing I knew, I had a review in my email about how well my system was working. The system had been removed from my house more than a month before. When I read further, I saw that they were charging me for that month. I called and was then told I had to write a letter explaining why I had left Vivint.

    I wrote the letter and sent it.

    Another month has gone by, and I now have an additional bill. This one for $90. My account is still not closed. I am now sending a copy of the 1st letter with a cover letter. I don't know what else to do. I can't keep paying them for a system I no longer have. I feel like this is unfair, and I wonder how many other people they are doing this to. Can they do this to people? I believed after paying the $850+ it would be over. That is why I paid it. Do I need a lawyer?

    I moved into a home that had a Vivint system. It was deactivated and we decided not to activate it at the moment. However, the other day I went to wipe/clean the screen (no idea what made me do that) and the system armed (why/how?? If deactivated). When I went to open my door obviously it went off. I had no access to the code to turn it off so called Vivant. The only way to turn it off was to activate it under my name ($$$$). I find that odd, you couldn’t send me a code or something to turn it off without my business? Anyway, in order to be able to at least leave my home and not rip this thing off the wall, I had no other choice really so activated it.

    I really would’ve preferred to have the activation fee completely waived. Luckily it can’t hurt to have a security system with a husband who works long hours and two small children. The people who I dealt with were AMAZING! Cameron and Daniel. They were so helpful other than the fact that I needed to pay for a problem that was not mine, I am satisfied with the customer service so Cameron and Daniel get my stars!

    I didn't know that Vivint worked with third party techs. In the beginning it was either the fault of the computer or the tech, and I will never know.. He came in quoting me over $1600 what I was initially quoted before he showed and that's the only reason why I cannot give a solid 5 stars. I appreciate that he was able to call and get it fixed, I also appreciate he got his manager involved to come back a couple hours later in the day with a fixed contract for me. He also gave me his word on coming back with a sign for the yard which he did.

    I appreciate them fixing the issue and doing more for me rather than leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth and for the company altogether if they would have not fixed their mistake and would have continued pushing the higher equipment cost which is what I made clear was not the plan I had signed up for. I appreciate them fixing and resolving the initial issue that was had. I've known many people who work for vivint and I wanted to go with them, so thank you for that.

    The sales rep completely lied about everything that would be included. Made false promises that wasn’t on contract.     I am was very happy with the whole journey. It started I needed some cameras and I emailed the Vivint security cameras. That’s when I met Payton. This guy was great. He told me about everything.     It's super bowl sunday for us all... The tech arrived at 1020 and was here for near 5 hours. He was respectful. Most of the day, became frustrated occasionally due to what appeared to software and internet issues. During the survey, there was yes or no questions regarding receipt of an email from Oscar ** the sales rep. Did not receive the email at time of the 1st survey, thus could not answer yes. The tech demanded I answer yes and when I did not, he became agitated, said it was not his issue and if I did not respond yes, he'd have to call his supervisor. He did, I asked him to stop with the attitude.

    Oscar was also called by the tech and soon after, the required emails arrived. The garage door opener was not compatible, per the tech and was not installed. There should be an adjustment to the equipment and service fee. Technician did not tend to cleaning up in and outside of the house either. Several wire pieces, small piles of residue where he drilled. 2 file cabinets in the office were not moved back nor another large shelf unit and boxes in the garage. We're looking forward to the system and security it will facilitate. However, regardless of whether it is super bowl sunday or any other special day, such behavior from a tech or anyone other than one's own young children is unnecessary and unacceptable.

    Their equipment is top drawer and their representatives are courteous and professional. Generic sounding praise, but earned. What was clear from the start is that Vivint has a much more forward-looking vision of this business than that to which we’ve grown accustomed. They want to be much more than a bunch of window and door sensors that set off alarms and emergency calls. For example, if it is the installation type, WHEN you arm the system and leave the house, THEN the system is armed AND the doors are all locked, period. You don’t have to run around and check the doors, much less worry about it after you’ve driven away. If you must, then a glance at one’s phone can confirm it. From the phone or control panel, one can lock all the doors, and/or confirm the doors are locked. Indeed, one can do just about everything from the phone or control panel.

    The system Is compatible with smart home devices made by other companies. Vivint does not lock you in with overpriced proprietary add-ons. The add-ons they do sell must be competitively priced for the features offered. Most importantly, the system permits me to think in terms of a “smart-home” lifestyle. As I will be relying heavily on the CENTRAL smart-home devices, Vivint promises to be a good starting point. Lastly, I do not want my fascination with their “tech” to cause me to ignore the humans behind it. My smart-home devices I purchased online from another company, over the last two years, are still in their boxes. Maybe, the Vivint humans will one day minimize our need for them, but for now, they are really helpful and will play key roles lifting me into the future.

    Jimmy did a great job with his promotional pitch. It was a little misleading to be made to feel that you are being given an offer that includes several devices just to be told at the end that it's being financed for 5 years. I wasn't made aware of that until after I started the process and it said I was approved. Approved for what? Nonetheless, I continued the process. Five years is too long for me. I would rather have a shorter term, even if it requires paying more upfront. I feel you should provide customers with more payment options. Setting that aside, the installation went well. Mr. O was very professional and provided guidance on set up and use.

    I called a few days ago because I was recommended by a friend of mine to order the service. I spoke to the agent on the phone for over an hour describing in great detail that I wanted to use the service and in this conversation I specifically and very clearly told him that I did not want my credit card billed after the initial deposit was billed to my card. I wanted to pay the rest in cash and they assured me that the technician would come out install everything and I could pay the balance remaining in cash.

    While the day the technician came out he informed me that they do not accept cash and it took over an hour for them to figure out how to Bill Me for the balance too. It was all worked out In the end and All the equipment was installed about an hour ago. The technician whose name is Mike was wonderful, very informative very helpful, and very clean and trustworthy. I highly recommend you request Mike to come and do your installation if you’re in the Las Vegas area.
