    Billy ** was superb performing our installation of equipment! He not only recommended equipment that we didn’t think of and easily added it to our order on site. He was extremely knowledgeable with both equipment and installation plus he integrated his whole home concept knowledge into our installation.     We recently bought a home with an existing Vivint system and decided to give the system a try to compare it to the system we had in our other home. I was able to easily reach Vivint to schedule an appointment for the next day. The problems started on the morning of the scheduled appointment... I first received an email saying that the install time window had changed. Then I received a voicemail indicating that the tech had called in sick and they didn’t have a replacement tech. I was told to call and reschedule. After calling I was first disconnected and then transferred twice. I was then told that I might be able to do a remote setup. We walked through the process but couldn’t get everything done. I was then transferred to two other technicians to try to resolve the remaining issue (cameras not recognized by the system).

    The final tech I spoke with was able to help with one of the cameras but not the others. Although it seemed like she was trying, there were multiple times that she just wasn’t understanding the clear explanations I was providing. Now she’s telling me that they need to send out a tech to complete the setup, but they can’t get someone here for 6 days. If they’d just sent a backup tech today, this would all be done by now. This is a horrible way to start off as a customer and this experience does nothing to suggest that Vivint has any kind of quality customer service.

    **Find another company. Terrible service and customer service. Due to poor customer service and hidden contract extensions, we finally decided to cancel service with Vivint. Our account was always paid in full and on time. We started by providing written cancellation in January. We received an email stating our account was closed. In February we saw that we had been charged again for service. In march we contacted customer service and they again "canceled" our service and another confirmation email stating that this account was closed. We are now at the end of March and the account has not been closed. We simply can not get rid of this company.

    Had this installed for my mom who is elderly. The installation process was done very well! The installer was professional, friendly and provided a lot of good information. The house was built in the 1940s so the doorbell transformer was probably the original.     The driving topic that the rep discussed about was how quickly we could access our camera vs. Ring. Showed lots of examples and such but in truth, they knew it has nothing to do with the cameras but with bandwidth of your internet. Examples were showed by rep’s iPad to display how quickly he access his cameras. There is no difference in our cameras, if anything, the cameras connect significantly slower than our Ring. We have tried to call text the rep, even the guy that installed our system and we never got and answer. We even left messages, no answer. I've emailed no answer.
