My technician Amir made the process easy to follow. He made sure all of my questions were answered and I felt comfortable with the control panel. He made sure I was satisfied with the placement of my camera and doorbell.

After hiding from Tyler ** avoiding the sales pitch- I decided to hear him out. Wow!! So happy that I did. Being protected and having my kids and home protected is my top priority. Had I known this information and system before, I would have already had it. They are friendly, honest and most of all personable and just another human doing their job And efficient (which is hard to find these days). There was no reading between the lines. Come to find out keeping my family safe from all the crazy people I. The outside world is cheaper than my wAter bill. Point of this review is just listen... you think your cameras are protecting you but they are not. VIVINT will.

We did our research and had planned to upgrade our home security system. When Vivint came to our door, it was a foregone conclusion that we’d be using their service. What we didn’t expect, however, was the knowledgeable sales and installation team who answered every last question and guided us to making the best choices for us. They were friendly and polite, efficient and thorough. Best of all, it was an easy process and an order of magnitude less expensive than we’d thought it would be. We highly recommend Vivint!

I took over the system from the previous homeowner, the technician Brandon was great! He was friendly, on time and very professional. The thing that was a bummer was that there was some kind of update that needed to happen and it took forever! Poor Brandon did everything he could talking to tech support to try and figure out what the hold up was, but we just had to wait it out. Brandon was at my house for almost five hours and at least two of those were because things weren’t syncing.

I am absolutely in love with my new security system especially the doorbell camera. Most importantly I loved my technician Jeff. He went through every detail and made sure I understood everything! Super friendly also! The entire install was a smooth process as well without drilling big holes or leaving a mess. He even a hand held vacuum. Thank you!!

We had great customer service. The installer was very knowledgeable and did a great job. Even cleaned up after himself!! We are very pleased with Vivint!! The picture quality is wonderful from the cameras and the system is very easy to use.

Great service from technician. Equipment easy to use. Had a peaceful nights rest knowing we were secure in our home. Installed outdoor cameras & doorbell which allows us to see what’s going on outside. Technician was very friendly, and gave us the best service possible. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an alarm system company. I am very highly satisfied, and look forward to more peace of mind for the future.

Very satisfied with your sales rep and the work done by your technician. They both walked me through the steps and how my new security features work... I was not even expecting the technician to make it last evening - as promised by the sales representative- due to the rain, but he still made it and all the work done...

Provided detailed explanation of the system received, cost over term of contract and beyond. Friendly, courteous. Installation was reviewed for correctness and promptly installed without delay. System was then reviewed to ensure customer understood operation. Only issue was time of installation...although immediate scheduling it was late in the evening.

I truly love everything about my new Vivint wireless system. Even the husband (Ryan) & wife team of installers were great! It’s an investment worth having for peace of mind! Having the app option right on my phone, in addition to, the keypad is amazing, quick, & convenient. The doorbell camera is my favorite feature and rightfully so for so many reasons. Also, being able to add other users to the system like your adult children is a major plus! You can’t put a price on safety in your own home! I would highly recommend Vivint!

I had such a horrible experience from start to finish.. James my sales clerk was only concerned about getting a sale and so he lied about final documentation to be signed at installation, when told about how dissatisfied I was and I tried to explain to him the reason for me being very unhappy with the services I received, he YELLED at me stating "I just want to know why you're thinking about canceling." He never mentioned that I need to fill out a credit application after the technician arrive prior to installation.
Secondly Ireland was so disrespectful stating that there is no truth to my experience for the past six years as a client with Vivint when I tried to explain to her the policy, procedures and services that I grew accustomed to over the years...She blatantly insinuated that I was lying. The technicians that arrived were the worst ever, they all acted as if they were giving me something for free and I should honor their services. Forget it. I was never able to speak to any field supervisor in regards to the technician's behavior.
The first gentleman that called me to do the survey, he will officially put vivint out of business in the coming years. The only reason I went through with installation is one because my credit was already pulled, and two Holly and Jen in the installation department provided excellent service and made me feel as if my business was appreciated.
I will NEVER recommend Vivint to anyone, the service is horrible, they need a new set of technicians with manners and respect, sales representatives with good customer service skills and respect. Forget it. The last Technician that showed up named Johnney made it very clear that he told me two many times how to add my second vivint acct to my existing profile and decided that he could not help me anymore. Instead he referred me to customer service. I could write a book and the horrible experience I encountered. I will let other consumers know so they can make a constructive decision when choosing an alarm company...Never again..

All personal we're very knowledgeable and proficient in their jobs. I will recommend to friends and family. The equipment install did not take as long as I thought it would. The installers cleaned and filled every hole. Vivint was not new to me. The equipment installed appears to be more updated.

Vivint has come a long way since 2011, and in the process, we left ADT for Vivint. Upgraded multiple aspects of our home security and bought out our contract as well. We received two cameras, a garage door opener and an automatic door lock. Thanks Vivint!!

We had a good experience with Kai selling us an alarm system. No issues, he was upfront with us on everything. He listened, and tailored things to our needs, though many people would have done differently. Would do business again with him.

I love the Vivint system. It has great features, and covers all your security needs. Makes you aware of anything or anyone walking into your zone. It also has many programmable features. The ability to record long term is a game changer. It even detects packages being delivered.

Installer was very helpful in letting me know the procedure and basic instructions. As of this day, I’m Not happy with the inconsistencies of buffering and at this time I am unable to get views from the cameras also unable to view activity.

Service representative came by and talked me into buying this service. He promised the installation would be quick and fast. The installation tech arrived quickly, installed part of the package and promised to be back later. No service tech has arrived or called.

The equipment seems great but the installers have not yet figured out how to connect all with wifi and we are not yet sure if the existing window and door sensors will work with the systems. If we have to pay for replacement sensors in all of them I will probably not accept the system. I look forward to using the system if it can be installed!

The sales person who approached us knew we had a garage sale in progress and chose to overrun my family to do a 2 to 3 hour presentation. My adult Autistic daughter was left to manage. He was redundant, arrogant and would not just leave even when we agreed. He used MY PHONE to take a selfie and posted this to my FB without my consent. He took over!! My garage door opener will not work as well as my key code opener. When I ask about that, as he approached me the next day when I was not even out of my car, he said "IT SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM". And then he asked me to give him more neighbors to troll! I had not even gotten into my house after picking up my daughter after her 1st day of work!!! Tech was very helpful and informative. He was very quick with the install and met all standards. The tech installed our cameras where we wanted them and made sure everything was done properly and neatly. Tech also cleaned up his mess and brought in packages from the front door.

The young man who was the sales representative for Vivint was a very pleasant and helpful person. He tried his best to get answers to any questions I had and worked to get technicians to my house as soon as possible. I am disappointed that the control panel will not allow one to open the garage door when leaving home. It must be done by phone app. Also, there is not sign available to indicate that I have a security system which I am told helps deter people from trying to burglarize a home.

I had the doorbell camera installed. Matthew was on time, kind and courteous. I appreciated he told me what he was doing before he did it. The only thing I didn’t understand is I did not get a camera for the back. That was a separate charge...ugh!

The install guys were fantastic. However, after less than 24 hrs, I received a notification by flood censor and cameras stopped responding to the panel and to reset it. The panel would not reset and I had to leave for work. When I got to work, the doorbell camera would not work either. I called Customer Service on my brochure and the number was not in service!!!! I had to google the correct phone number and after being transferred to 3 different people, I told them I was over it and wanted to cancel my service. Then they told me the cancellation dept was closed, they only have 24/7 tech support which is not what is advertised.
The next day my smoke detector started beeping and would not turn off, then it set off the alarm. They called through the panel and the panel disconnected me once they put me on hold to transfer me again.... I called back and they told me they would send a new smoke detector but it was still beeping... I told them to cancel my service again, 3 transfers later after trying to keep me a customer, I was told I had to email the cancel request in. Unbelievable! It took over 72 hrs for them to confirm my cancellation but they did do it and remove the hardware. Now I have holes all over my house and my original Ring Doorbell was not re-installed. Other than the install guys, the entire process was terrible, felt like a scam and I do not recommend this company.

I’ve only had the security system for a week and a half, so I’m still learning. However, I can say that the person who installed the system was not only skilled and professional, he was patient, helpful and kind. He arrived when he said he would. He made the installation look easy, he explained the equipment and taught me how to use it and gave me his personal number to call, in case I needed help. After he was finished with the installation and getting ready to leave, I appreciated hearing that I had three full days to try out the system, and if I decided it was not for me, he would come back and take it over and cancel my contract with no problem or hassle.

Customer service was very helpful on Getting me back up and running on my doorbell camera. We did have difficulties when first setting up system due to being transferred to the Philippines or India where the operators do not speak fluent English. Sales representative was very personable and not pushy. Installation techs were prompt, efficient and mostly did a good job. My minor quibbles are that the empty boxes for the equipment installed were left behind, rather than using the new batteries provided with the door locks the old batteries were transferred, and that holes were drilled into my walls without asking or explaining.

The first tech that came out was very nice and did a great job. My system messed up that same night. I called the 800# and the rep I spoke with that night was very rude. They set me up with a tech for the end of the week to come fix my cameras that were not working. Now 20 mins before scheduled time the tech cancels. I rearranged my schedule today for someone to come out.

My sales rep Felix was very deceiving. He over charged me, said he would talk to me about any issue I had with Vivint, and that he would respond to my texts or phone calls. All lies!!!! The cameras malfunctioned and I left text messages and voicemails and he did not get back to me. I cancelled the next day!

Salesman wrote in his bid that I would get two smart locks ("How many doors do you have sir with numbered entry?"). 2 I said, him OK. I’m interested in a smart thermostat. Salesman says only $2 more/month. Salesman gave me a 30-day risk free trial. 5 days later a bill of $31. Plus the install tech drilled holes in my door, but didn’t install the door sensor.

The technician was unprepared and didn't bring all I requested (ex didn’t bring window or sliding glass door equipment and didn’t bring the tilting piece for my doorbell) and left a mess when his vacuum died. When trying to reschedule I spent over an hour and a half being transferred before I got any help. Got disconnected during that time and felt no one was truly helping me.

Updated on 07/13/2021: This is the WORST customer service based company I have EVER worked with. I purchased a system from them through one of their door to door salesman. In the matter of two days he managed to create 2 different accounts for my home...one in my name which was to be a self-install kit which I paid over $300.00 for with my bank card that was to be delivered within 3-5 days. There was a lot of time spent with him and he "accidentally" set the first account up in my son's name. My son was only supposed to be listed as a person allowed access as he lives here. Then after a lot more time, a lot more issues, some of my own, I didn't get the kit within a week so I called the company to verify for sure he was an employee and that my info was safe. He was a contractor with the company, but the first error that came up was that the house was still listed under my son. So I changed that immediately, or so I thought.
The people on the phone said no equipment had been ordered. So I checked my bank account again and they had not deducted my card yet either. So I called the seller/contractor which took a few calls...he "researched" the paperwork and said for some reason the paperwork didn't go through. I needed to sign them again. So I did, then immediately checked my bank and they deducted for the kit immediately. The kit came in three days! Then came the nightmare!!!
Their self install videos are a joke...their customer service people on the phone who " tried" to help me sounded like I was a complete idiot, which I am not. So I called the contractor back, like he said because he said if I had any problems he would come help me...that didn't happen. He said he could send a tech out hopefully that day he would call me back...6 hours later I got hold of him...he scheduled a tech the next day...another $125.00 of course, but billed. Finally the tech came, spent 6 hours here. Drilled 2 holes into my house, leaving them exposed to the outside by the way no covers or filler, caulk anything, switched out all the equipment at least twice. When he left the equipment was working, but I still could not use the app on my phone...so if I left my home what good is it?
Then in the meantime, I discover after numerous calls and another 2 techs that the original account had been set up in my son's name had also been set up with a LOAN with a financial institution IN my son's name...without his permission...his credit had been ran...and now he was being held responsible for the equipment I had originally paid for...I admit Vivint had refunded my money by this time...under my impression that a loan had been set up in my name...for me to make payments on. So I had spent the original money on other needs by this time. So we called the Financial institution and explained the situation, and asked them to just put the loan in my name as it should have been in the first place...they wouldn't do it. They were holding him responsible.
In the meantime my son made a claim of the fraudulent account and the 2 legitimate credit cards he did have contacted him and made him cut up his cards, close his accounts and they would not offer him any more credit till the fraudulent activity was taken care of or ever!!! Ruined his good credit overnight! I even got their (Vivint) corporate office involved and their response to me was "Pay off the loan. We gave you back the money!!!!" Mind you I still did not have a complete security system working a month later at this point! Boy was I mad!!!! I told them they had better close that account out, come get their system at no charge to me, and fix my damage... That was what FINALLY happened... but what a nightmare!!! My son's credit is still damaged, I don't even have a doorbell because through the process of trying to install theirs mine was broken. No security system...YET there will be one but from one of their competitors for sure!!!
Original Review: Just started working with this company less than a month ago, but still do not have an up and running system...waiting for a tech to help with installation gone wrong. Very stressful is an understatement. Can't have a working service without working equipment. A lot of paperwork and time but no service.

I was using ADT but the constant problems with the service was too much. I remembered I had Vivint at one of the restaurants I ran. I made the call and made the switch, very happy I did. The tech that came out was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the product.

So far happy with the installation. But washing the image for the doorbell it's constantly frozen and it's on medium get worse if go up on quality. Back camera do more better. The installer is very professional and patient when asked questions

The doorbell and camera go offline as often as 35 times an hour. After hours on the phone with several customer service reps, each time going through the same diagnostic steps, a home service call was scheduled for one week out. No technician arrived. On yet another phone call to customer service, I was told the work order had been canceled “because the customer didn’t need it.” I stated that I did not cancel the call and was then told a “specialist” would call me back in about 10 minutes. That was 5 hours ago.

Sales Rep James came to my house yesterday pitching Vivint. This was just his 2nd day working so I was very patient with him. His pitch was very good and seeing as I was looking for a limited security system he provided me the exact information I required. His manager had to help with the sale due to a paperwork snafu but overall the service was great. The installer was here within a 1/2 hour and immediately set to work with the installation. Everyone that I dealt with was extremely polite and professional. Pricing was within my budget and I now have a security system. Would recommend this company.

Vivint claimed to have send a security patrol to my house due to a false alarm and charged me $44.34 but, when I reviewed my Ring security cameras recording, the time Vivint claimed, nobody was at my front door. This is their 1st lie to me as their current customer. I called to dispute this charge and they told me that they will cancel the charge. Today I received an email from Vivint telling me that the reimbursement was denied. This is their 2nd lie to me. If anyone of you who are looking for an alarm system, stay away from this company because you can never trust a company that constantly lies to their customers.

I had this system where I lived before. We had cameras on front door, driveway and backyard. I knew who was ringing my doorbell or what the kids were doing in the backyard. The camera showing the driveway saved my car from being stolen. I heard noise in driveway (my bedroom looked out on it) and saw someone trying to get my car. It was all on camera for the police. Would definitely recommend this system.

Tech was very young. Very nice. Took a while for installation due to lack of parts. Everything was installed. Explained to tech I had Monitronics/Brinks before. They never tried to give me a decent deal till I said I would replace them.

I spoke to a very nice representative who told me about the service and what it would cost for a normal resident to receive the services. He also stated out of the home that were visited they were going to select one who would be a good representative for Vivint to get their system for free. Service needs improvement. Poor practices include unmarked cars, no company uniform, showing up at 9:00 and not leaving until after 1:00 am. Serviceman said “Oh sometime we don’t finish until 3:00-4:00 in the morning”. Really? 2-3 strangers in our home until 1:00-4:00am? Not good ideas.

Lincoln the sales rep was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The installer placed a motion sensor in the wrong area. He also didn't review where each piece of equipment was installed before leaving. Otherwise the error would have been noticed and he could have moved it. I chatted with customer service about the mistake. Customer service was mediocre. I was told it was stick-on and I would have to relocate the motion sensor myself. It's screwed to the wall and will leave a hole in the wall when removed. Customer service should have offered to send the installer back out to correct the issue and repair the hole. Hoping that happens...

Install was pretty great, took a while but I did order a lot. We got Vivint system with cameras due to troublesome neighborhood kids. Well, the system works great and we gathering video evidence every day. I plan on getting additional parts like the smart door locks and smart thermostat.

Had my panel upgraded and installed a new camera. The new panel fixed the issue I was having with other cameras. Which was mostly lag and couldn't use the two way microphone. Everything looks great and seem to be working as it should so far. Great customer service! From sales to the installer.

Very happy with representative Cole and install. Great deal on an integrated smart system. Active prevention is important because we travel a lot. Having house secure and watched while we are on the road is important and a comfort to us. Great service and explanation during install of the system. Rafael did a great job. He was very thorough in his answers to all our questions. He was exactly on time and finished on schedule as well. The sales representative Doug was very knowledgeable and helpful. He came in sat down and listened to all the things I wanted to ensure the safety of my family. The Representative was very knowledgeable and thorough. He did a great job with installation and explained the system very well. We just need a couple yard signs and window stickers. We did not get those. Otherwise everything is great! We love the system and camera.

Was not expecting to be receive the Vivint Smart Home detector and a good experience today with the people helping. Erhan stopped by today and made sure he explained everything I needed to know, answered all my questions and concerns, helped me get the best what I could get and more at a unbeatable price range. Kody the tech that helped was also very good at installing in a fast manner and again also helped with any of my questions and concerns. 10/10 for service today.
