    I was first lied to about delivery time. My wife and I were at the apartment waiting on the equipment to come and never received it. We call the Vivint Home Security company who state we received it and FedEx stated it was delivered. But we sit here without the equipment. We had one person tell us it was not shipped yet. There's a lot of bull crap going on with this company and they refuse to give us a refund. Saying dumb crap like we can only refund if you ship the equipment back. Excuse me. If we had the equipment we would not be asking for a refund.

    I don’t like how there is no owner's manual how to work the alarm system. Yes the technician goes over how to use or set up your system, but that’s it. I would like an owner's manual as a reference or to make changes in the future.

    From the time with the salesperson to the men installing the systems it was such a great experience. They conducted themselves very professionally. Explained everything to make sure I understood.     The installer put holes in my wall to install the hub and didn’t patch it up and tells me to fix when he made the holes and then the installer leaves all the boxes from the equipment on my counter and the installer left a big box of cat5 at my house as well and the whole installation took 7 to 8 hours to complete.

    I am not happy with the function of the Door Bell. After the installation it only worked for approximately two hours and needed the Technician to bring it back online after about 45 minutes. Nevertheless, the unit stopped working again at 10:53 am the next day and currently it is not operating. We tried rebooting it several times. Extremely unhappy!

    Walk up salesman to my residence, nice guy, took awhile for him to tell us who he was with, asked questions about our current security system, (which we had a sign in the yard), then spoke about Vivint. We did get the system as it was an upgrade from our outdate one. Install guy was amazing, had the patience of a saint. Took time to explain all the new bells and whistles. Only one negative, salesman forgot to tell us we were applying for $3500. Credit to pay for the equipment. He just said cost of monthly system was $98. and that after 5 years it would only be $41. for loyalty.??? $3500. for equipment, WOW. So, needless to say, read everything they give you, no matter how long it takes. Happy with the system, and personnel was nice. Bad on me for not checking everything.

What he should have done was gave me a number to file a complaint and had the company send someone out to look at it and address the situation from there.     Vivint offers $0 Activation online for new customers, but because I moved into a house with some Vivint equipment installed, they refused to honor the deal, DESPITE being a NEW customer myself and wanting to purchase more equipment from Vivint. They chose to nickel and dime me over a basic administrative fee because the previous owner of our home purchased the equipment. We just bought the house, which included purchasing the equipment from the previous owner. Thus, they could simply make the administrative switch, which the CS rep told me was "easy" and done online.

    Instead, while I am trying to purchase additional equipment and set up monthly service which we would be paying them $50/month for at least the next 5-10 years, they chose to lose my business over a simple $100 admin fee. They would make significantly more off me in just a few months, much less the years we would be using their services. Literally the realization of the term, "Tripping over dollars to pick up pennies." In a world where business is meant to realize profits, it seems that adage is lost on them. I understand some people are powerless to do anything about the fees, but when asking to speak with management they refused to connect me. It's a shame...living in Miami, but being from Utah, I was excited to support a Utah company. Side bar: Comment below if you need to purchase some Vivint equipment on the cheap.

    I inherited the Vivint security system from my previous owners. I paid the transfer fee and signed the agreement but they never sent a technician to explain the functioning of the system. After spending 5-6 hours with the tech support, it didn’t work. Finally vivint sent a technician. He made things work but few mins after he left, the panel froze and one of the camera stopped working. I was able to reboot panel but for the camera I spent two hours each with customer service, call drops, I call again and start over. In last couple of days 10+ hours on call no results.

    One tech Arrived at 230 pm and also another tech arrived, neither had face mask or face coverings. They didn’t finish until the shift was over which was almost 7 clock. Felt that was kinda a long time for two techs. Only had 2 cameras, doorbell camera, and keypad installed. Once they left my wife told me one of the techs (Shannon) called my newborn little monkey. Claim she call her grandkids the same thing, but I took it as it was a racism statement. Overall everything works like it should.

    It isn’t often I entertain salesmen who come to my house to sell products door to door, however I have been in the market for a security system so I was willing to chat with Nick to get information about Vivint Smart Home Security. Vivint had all of the security equipment, monitoring capabilities (and then some) that I have been looking for. Nick was pleasant and not at all high pressure. Additionally, the install happened on the same day...which was a Saturday evening. While it was great they could install so quickly, I probably would have preferred that the install happen during the daytime rather than at 10pm on a Saturday night. The installer, Jared, was also fantastic. He was professional, informative, knowledgeable and took the time to explain the system and make sure I understood before heading to his next job. I would definitely recommend this system based on my experience so far over the last 24 hours!

    Both the salesman and the installer did pretty well but something were not correct. We were told our garage door could be connected. The installer said it wouldn’t work for our opener and the existing door lock we had could not be programmed with several codes (one per child) but just 2 could be done. The installers didn’t clean up some of the dust from drilled holes either. These items were not huge issues for me but maybe for some. All told I was satisfied with their service to this point. Also the ADT sign was not replaced with a Vivint sign.
