Frank was very knowledgeable of the equipment and how to install it. He answered all of our questions and showed us how to operate the system. Only flaw was him having to make a 60 mile round trip for equipment which caused him to be late for our appointment, which probably was not his fault.

I highly recommend Vivint. I enjoyed the entire process. The sales person was really good at explaining everything and the techs were very professional and even offered to sweep some of the mess for me. The system is really easy to use and I can now sleep in peace knowing my property is secure.

Install Tech showed up an hour later than he was scheduled to be here. Salesperson did text to say he was going to show up late but he was still later than I was told he was going to be here. Once he got here he went right to work, he was friendly and professional. The install couldn’t be completed and the installer had to come back the next day because he did not have all the equipment he needed to complete the job. Came back the second day on time and completed the job. Explained the system, helped get my wife’s phone hooked up and left. Less than an hour after he left the system showed I had an open window so I went hunting for the window and then learned that several windows sensors were not even working and they were not named correctly.
Had to text the sales guy who came by and spoke with us. He had to schedule yet another appointment for the installer to come back and fix the sensors and rename them, he showed up two days later and fixed everything (I hope). I like the system so far. The salesman was nice. Even though he was not able to answer all my questions he was able to get me answers to all my questions.

Overall great customer satisfaction. I was mispriced but the manager corrected the issue and gave an extra incentive. My first appointment was cancelled due to the tech calling off and the sales manager corrected that issue with a callback for a next day appointment. The tech explained the system and did his best.

The installation process was great and the technician Eric was great at explaining everything. The equipment was installed with minimal holes to the walls. The cameras were placed well and cover the area that we were hoping to cover. The home panel was placed in a convenient spot, and it is very easy to use. The app a also very easy to use. We are happy to recommend Vivint to our friends and family.

To say I’m pleased with my service is an understatement! This has been the best customer service, installation, and product experience I have ever had with any security service. The cameras are extremely clear and that whistle the cameras does when someone is in the frame longer than 10 seconds is priceless! I have a pool and have always been concerned with someone falling in who can’t swim! Well with Vivint I get notifications, actual snapshots on my watch of anyone too close to the pool. LOOK AT VIVINT! Because it is in such real time it could really save someone’s life! This is so epic and absolutely necessary if you have a pool especially with kids. I have so much more comfort in my own home thanks to Vivint.

My neighbors recently had a system installed and I was impressed enough to want one. Salesperson and technician were very professional and knowledgeable. They explained everything very well and complete system was up and running the same day. I feel much more secure now while at home and away. I don't have to go to the door or window every time I hear something downstairs.

I had my quote and service set up all in one day. :) The old sensors wouldn’t connect to the new system so they replaced them for me free of charge. Aaron was pretty nice and added a deadbolt to a door I hadn’t planned at first.

We just closed on a beautiful custom home and wanted to protect it. Our home has an 8 foot tall solid Alder front door as well as an 8 foot standard painted exterior door into the garage. Usually Vivint does a 3/4" bore into doors and the jamb to hide an internal sensor in exterior doors for better aesthetics. I specifically asked about this when I ordered the install and was told they would bore it...as that is the proper way. Instead, the technician put external sensors similar to those on windows, stating that he wasn't allowed to standard bore into custom doors. But instead of using the adhesive, he drilled them into the doors...the interior face that is seen by everyone. He did not ask before doing this. He did not ask for placement. Just placed them, and put holes into the doors. So his answer to "I can't drill you custom door" where no one will see it...was to drill the custom door where EVERYONE can see it.
Nothing will make you more sick to your stomach than drilled holes into a custom wood door that you just took ownership of 48 hours earlier. The tech offered to get putty at Home Depot to fix them on his own (seriously). I said there was no way he was touching my doors. I couldn't even believe the lack of understanding. They did say a claim was filed...and that I would hear back on a remedy. That was days ago...and no word. And no one is answering me regarding the issue. This is absolutely sickening and heartbreaking. Like someone keying a brand new Ferrari and saying it was only a scratch and they would buff it out with Turtle Wax.
If you sign up with Vivint....make sure to baby sit your installer if you care about your home....and force them to do it the right way. The install is a long process...but give them the time and make sure to shadow the installer like a hawk. They are trying to get out ASAP and clearly don't care about the home and what they are doing.

Thought about a camera for a while for the driveway and front door. Love the 4K clarity in the cameras. App is intuitive so it's easy to use. Tablet for wall is a nice touch. Salesperson Chase & Tech Luke were very professional.

The installation crew and the sales guy Connor were both awesome! The only reason I am doing 4 stars and not 5 is while I appreciated the quick install and I’m sure in some cases it is convenient, it was late and I would’ve chosen another day if I was asked. I think the techs left my house around 11 so kudos to them for working that late but like I said that was a little too late for me to still be up. Other than that great team, easy set up and install didn’t take too long.

It was late in the afternoon and by the time the technician came, he said it would take till midnight to finish the install. Things had to be moved in order to accommodate the installation. My husband and I are over 70 and we usually go to bed early, so this was unacceptable.

I was not pleased at the beginning due to lack of communication & notice on arrival time, but the setup & installation process went very smoothly. Austin was very open towards my dog & also helped me hang a flag. Overall I feel so much more safe knowing I have this great security system & cameras.

System is okay. But the installation was horrible. Guy did a horrible job. Left all trash all over, and huge holes in my walls! & broken my existing doorbell, just to put the new doorbell camera up. And he was here for 5 hours when it should of took the recommended 3-4 hours. He was on the phone inside my home canceling another appointment. Very unprofessional. That should of been done in the car before entering my home!

I just switched my alarm system to Vivint. They offered me an huge upgrade at a very cost effective price! The sales rep was incredibly knowledgeable and found a package that suited my family's security needs. This company is awful. Their salespeople swindle you in and then make it extremely difficult to cancel. We were told multiple things which were very vague like all was wireless and no cancellation fees. Then there are holes being drilled everywhere for wires. All they care about is the money they are making off people. Very disingenuous and deplorable. Do not ever let them in your door!

I am beyond annoyed, not only has the technician not completed the job after 9 hours in my home, I have asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor with no follow up. I have tried calling Vivint only to be transferred twice and then disconnected with no call back.

He had a beautiful presentation and he was very respectful and professional. Great personality in a fantastic salesman. He stuck with me throughout the whole process and answer any questions that I had. Help me with the system and also took my children one by one to teach each one of them how to work the system. Paying back the next day to make sure everything was working properly. I definitely would recommend this system to my friends and family. I enjoy being able to know everything going on at the house while I'm away. The guy that installed it was great as well. I have had my alarm system for one day and it captured my packages being delivered and even lets me speak to whoever is at my door thru my app. I love it so far. No complaints as of now and I really do not think that I’ll have any.

Salesman very good at his job. I didn’t want any of this and it’s way overpriced for what you get. I was told they were going to “buyout” my Ring equipment which is new and apparently that’s not true either. I guess I’m not getting the rest of my equipment I’m paying for either. I think it’s called the “smart drive” for video playback. He just said they didn’t have any but didn’t say when I would get it or anything. Apparently the price goes down after 5 years (5 years!!!). Of course it does, you’ve finally paid off your overpriced equipment and now it’s out of date and needs to be replaced. What a waste of money.

I've heard a few horror stories about the customer service, but I've yet to have that experience. My sales rep Eric ** out the Columbia office has sold me an experience. Then my install tech Victoria from the Lexington Park area was so cool. Though she was relatively new, she was confident and thorough. She was upfront about everything. I really appreciated the honesty. Any trouble I've had along the way, between Eric and Victoria I've rashly been taken care of. I can't speak enough good about these 2. They've made my Vivint experience truly memorable.

When all was said & done we not only had a fully functioning system installer training walked us thoroughly through operation & features of our new user friendly system. Noteworthy is that our salesman & his boss were by within a couple of hours to draw attention to additional features and ensure our operational awareness to be sure we could take advantage of full functionality. Experience was fine, thus far. The customer service person should be knowledgeable of the process to be able to explain to the customer of what takes place, specifically having to open a line of credit to even get the alarm. That was something that was not told me when calling to get a quote and scheduling. Also the customer service person was pushy on getting me scheduled and putting down a deposit.

What a great experience. From purchase from Matt to the install. Our installer was Josh and he did a great job. Very professional and unobtrusive while doing his work. When he ran into some issues integrating our old wired hardware, he called for Harlow and two other techs showed up within minutes. Our was a pretty big install and they worked together to solve problems and get the job done. They finally finished up at 10:00 pm after starting around 3:00 pm. The only thing that I didn’t care for was the sales pitch that we could get the “discount” price if we were “flexible” regarding installation. We said we were with the thought that that would mean in the next few days with some reasonable notice.
After we agreed to purchase the system Matt made a phone call and we were told that the install crew would be at our house in about an hour. I really didn’t mind that and actually like the idea of getting the install done right away, but we did have plans for dinner with friends and had to cancel that. My issue is that it felt a little like a “trick” and setting a hook after the sale. Just be honest. Tell me that “being flexible” means clearing your schedule for the install crew and possibly doing so on virtually no notice. I would have felt much better had they done that. No one likes to feel tricked or taken advantage of. You have a great product and great employees. Let that be your market advantage. You don’t need to hide the truth of what “flexible” means until the sale is final.

Installation was quick and the installers were polite, friendly and courteous. They cleanup up after the installation so my home was left clean. The consultant was extremely knowledgeable and he took his time to explain everything. He provided greater explanation of any questions I had. The security system is excellent. It covers my entire backyard, front yard doors and windows as well as as fire, carbon monoxide and flood notice.

It is a nice and simple device to use. The view from the front door is very clear and l can easily see when the mailman delivers my packages. I selected Vivint because of the technology and ease of use. The technician dispatched to my home was, knowledgeable and proficient in installing and setting up the equipment. The installer came on time and did a terrific job. Unfortunately your supporting tech were not so good. The link for my signature for the financing offer didn’t work. I had the option to reschedule or to forgo the zero percent financing on the equipment and pay it upfront. I didn’t have time to reschedule. Not so happy about your IT support.

First the tech Aron, was amazing. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the system. He was very patient in explaining how everything works and was very professional. The installation was clean and quick. Very good work by this young man. So far the system is working great. Love the camera clarity and the ease of use. The only downfall I have noticed so far is when you zoom in on the camera it losses a lot of resolution.

The person doing the installation worked until approximately 10 pm and returned Saturday and worked another 4 hours or so. When he left he said he would be back on Monday. Monday he called and told us to call a electrician to install what was needed to be done. He gave us a number to call and their response was no. I then called Douglass and told him it was his responsibility to get the job done. We bought a system and if they couldn’t get it completed to take everything out and we would contact another company. He said the system couldn’t come out because it had been installed for 2 weeks. He then said he would get back to me. He contacted me a few days later and said he was working on problem..

The installer was not meticulous about routing exterior cables. Did not hide them as should have been done and did not reset siding when he moved it. Needs to be better at this and not in such a hurry. Hopefully in the future he will get better.

The main issue I had with Vivint is the lack of explanation of the services provide on equipment like sensors cost if the home had a previous system. I was told the tech will check to make sure the home is secure before he leaves on the windows. He did that but then he told me it’s a charge to place the missing sensors. Which I wasn’t happy. I was also having to pay upfront for the fees which is ok, but again this sales rep on the phone didn’t explain this to me. Being a new home owner I have a budget to work with because I have repairs to do that are costly. I just wish all the fees paid up front would of been explained to me. So mainly the lack of knowledge to the consumer from sales rep is my complaint.

Professional from beginning to end. Clearly went over everything so I could understand. Install was quick and tech was awesome. Explained all areas of the upgrade to our current setup and included options for increasing each to protect our home, property and belongings for our family. Very impressed!

Install was great. Great employee, easy to follow instructions, no house damage. Felt like sales rep left a lot of info out. Didn’t tell us that the “waived” equipment fees were actually just us applying for a line of credit. So while we didn’t pay thousands out of pocket now, we signed up for a loan that we weren’t given a disclaimer for until I started filling out my personal information. I don’t appreciate that sales tactic.

Joe, the Vivint installer, did an incredible job. He was meticulous, very professional, thorough and nothing was too much trouble. He hid the wires, ensured everything was working and showed me how to use the system. He spent over 12 hours on our install and followed up the next day! I couldn’t be happier with the install and the service!

Our Vivint rep miscalculation how much we would be out of pocket for our part of the buyout. He is as off by over $1,800. Overall the installation was good. We still have two windows to be installed and two doors.

Our son has this system in his home and we think it has served him well which encouraged us to try the service. The installer was very thorough when demonstrating the use of the system. We currently have an Arlo system. However, it is my hope that Vivint helps to improve the value and security of our home.

Blake was pleasant and professional, he explained everything thoroughly. The only downside to this, is that by joining Vivint, you are opening a new account and I would not recommend it if you are about to purchase a home or car. The cameras view are very clear with good quality, I was not happy the garage was not compatible but is there a way to make it compatible? The other downside to this is that they must do the work on the same day if they cut you a good deal not the next day. Like for my case, Rodney came back the next day to make adjustments and finish up. I gave it a 4 star so far but it could change to a 5. I hope the $100 incentive per customer is real and will write more reviews as we end the deal with the overall service. Thank you!

I was told that the new panel would be compatible with my existing equipment. After panel was installed it wouldn’t work with my existing sensors so I had to purchase theirs. Also this system is not compatible with Alexa like my old system was. I was happy with my old system, don’t know why I changed.

I am a new mommy and security for me is really important. Kanaan was on time, effective and efficient. He answered all of my questions and made sure I knew how to navigate the devices before he left!! I purchased cameras, sensors, glass break devices and more. He helped me download the app and set up my preferences. The added bonus was the air conditioning interface because now We can control the air from our cell phones.

Technician refused to move camera higher or out of reach of potential theft area. And no signs were placed on the lawn. There was also a lot of miscommunication between the Vivint team and delayed the process a bit and incurred extra costs.

I signed up and Vivint had someone come out 30 minutes later to install everything! It was so fast and easy. Highly recommend! I was using Xfinity home security for the same price as Vivint, but got nothing for my money except for a couple cameras that didn’t even record. Plus xfinity was not on a completely secure network. It just makes sense to switch to Vivint.
