    Caleb was fantastic. He was timely, helpful and extraordinarily customer driven. On the other hand Vivint customer service was not up to par, the wait times were ridiculous and some of the employees did not have the knowledge necessary to assist. Because of this I hung up on a couple and had to call back. All-in-all I value the security system that was set up and I am excited to put it to use.

    The Salesperson and the Technician were very helpful and friendly. The Alarm system is easy to use after 4 tries. I can sleep early knowing no one can get into my home. I love the camera doorbell. The Technician fixed my doorbell unlike another Alarm company would do. I hoping to talk to my other neighbors on my surroundings area to get Vivint. Crime is going up everywhere and having a Alarm system would get the police to your house faster. The panel has not only a Alarm the police the firefighters and the Ambulance. Happy I have it.

    The technician sent for the installation did not have the licenses to install all the components included as part of my setup. Prior to installation, the technician had me speak to customer support and they said that would be taken care off the next business day (Monday). After the partial installation was completed, and before the technician was leaving, he said the remaining installation was again reassigned to him. The technician said he wasn't able to help and I would have to call in and get it fixed.

    When I did, I was told the team that needed to handle this didn't work weekends and I would have to call in on Monday, though before the installation started, they promised it would be taken care off and it wasn't. I did state clearly that the installation was time sensitive and I would be purchasing only if they could get the installation done by a certain date, and they made false commitments to get me to go ahead with my installation, and are not taking ownership later. At the time of purchase, I was told there would be support from Vivint employees at every stage of the process, and right after the installation I was passed off to an outsourced contact center, who don't have the authority to do much.

    We bought a house that had an existing system. We still have no idea how to work it. We were supposed to get a call to walk us through everything. Instead, I got a contract agreeing to their monthly rate. At the same time our air conditioning turned off. I called the service number and spent 45 minutes with a “tech” reading from a manual. He concluded we needed a new thermostat. My husband called back a bit later, was in the phone less than 10 minutes and the issue was completely fixed! I’m really worried about what we’ve signed up for….

    Vivint was fast and courteous. Their system is easy to use. We did have a break in on money of our cars the night we had our system installed but the motion sensors didn't catch anything solid. Didn't record. I made a police report and called Vivint the next morning and they had a technician come out the same day and install a new add on that would continually record and did it free of charge for an apology of the system not catching the break in on the street.

Instead of placing us on the top of the list for the next day, he said he would return between 4 & 6 the next evening. Never showed up.     After numerous text when my rep that service would be properly set up I continue to get false promises from my rep. I have alarms sensors triggered by us because the tech did not install them correctly. I can set my alarm at all and other things.     I was promised to have my camera and alarm installed on July 3 and only the Ipad was installed. Then they said Monday and it wasn’t done either. I guess as long as you all do the sale everything after that doesn’t matter. I was also told I didn’t have to make any payment for the first 30 days and I was charged 45 dollars.     We were approached by a very professional and knowledgeable young man named Matt. He answered every question we had, and agreed to have our system installed. We were amazed for the same day service! We were initially told that it would take about an hour to get two cameras and front doorbell. It took a lot longer, but we understand that the installer had to assess the situations involved and explained the reasons as to why we couldn’t get the backyard camera at a certain location. It turned out better than expected!

    Our service was immediately active after the installation. The installer explained everything to us. The next day, the sales rep returned to apologize about the time it took and offered a dinner gift card to us for our inconvenience! We refused to accept, because he took the time to return to us and personally check on how we felt about the system. We are (so far) very happy with the system and service on day one. We watched reviews online and was impressed with what Vivint offered and look forward to using our new security system. I give 5 stars because both the sales rep and installers are very polite, hard-working young men that want to make sure we were taken care of!

    I installed a smarthome system in my house in 2008. Because the technology advanced significantly I decided to upgrade my system. I contacted Vivint to do so. They listened and promised to install a brand new smarthome system. I was very specific about my needs. After talking to 6 managers, sending 9 pictures of my current system and 2 appointments they communicated to me that they were not capable to do even what I have. They talked about cameras, door locks - the security system. I was talking about full house automation. Vivint is advertising that they are expert in the smarthomes. This is far from the truth. Their advertisement is misleading at least. It is wrong and very unprofessional. Beware of their promises. I wasted a lot of time and energy with their representatives. They charged my credit card already. Waiting to be reimbursed.

    Sales guy Ben ** was great, but install technician and one of the electricians need more training. One of the electricians moved a piece of furniture without asking if it was ok. The installation technician used a 2 step ladder, then proceeded to stand on the top bar of the ladder which isn't even a step, it's more like a handle. This is a safety issue that could result in a fall/injury. I told her she shouldn't do that, but she said she hasn't fallen yet.

    Here are my initial impressions. Pros/ the cameras are absolutely fabulous and I love the deter features on the cameras and the doorbell. The picture is incredibly clear and the radius of the view is quite impressive. The panel is simple and easy to use. Cons: the door locks are so loud that I don’t know if we can even use them. They would literally wake everyone in the house if they were used at night. I am still figuring out the system so I do not understand the sensor features. The panel was placed downstairs. How would we ever hear the sound if a sensor went off in the night? The volume would need to be changed each down to turn down the volume during the day and to turn up the volume at night. I wish that the volume had day and night settings. As I said, I am still a brand new user and will continue to figure this out.
