I have been without a working alarm system for about a month. The cameras are offline with the driveway camera constantly going out before all cameras were disconnected due to troubleshooting. My smart lock constantly malfunctions, reading that the lock is jamming. This happens almost daily. Then, I was forced to go on vacation without home security because the technician, Tanner, never showed up as scheduled. I have called customer service over ten times and while the problems are not the fault of the agents, they are not given very many tools to help consumers. Today, all that was able to be done is schedule another appointment that would put me at two months without a functioning security system. Of course, there is no guarantee that anyone will even show up.

I really don't care for this new technology things. But since the tech showed me how to work my Vivint security camera system. I love it. I'm getting ready to get the A/C thermal hooked up to the security system too. I really like the system.

I was very pleased with the way he spoke and explained everything. Also very pleased with the work and how fast everything was handled. They also cleaned their mess after they was done. Then when finished they showed us how to use the system.

Everything was very good. We are pleased with the service and the installation was very good. We love the camera and how they work. I will recommend Vivint to everyone I can. The installer was great and he really knew his job.

So far it’s been a good experience, however it been one day. Representative was well informed and pitched the system in an good manner. So we’ll see after maybe 60 to 90 days. We’ll have a better sense of the purchase then.

I was very pleased with Jimmy and the installation team. They did a great job and were all very knowledgeable and friendly. They were great with my dog too! Once the paperwork was completed, my system was operational in less than 2 hours.

Helps us sleep good at night. Very simple to use and always at the palm of our hands. The advanced technology being used on the security system really impressed us with how effective it can be used. It’s a great investment.

I enjoyed the sales representative even though he talked a little too fast and forgot to initially add some stuff that I asked for. I am upset that he said I would be able to record with the doorbell camera 24/7 but I learned later after he left that I would need an additional piece of equipment to do so (The 24/7 recording was one of the main reasons I wanted to switch security providers). I enjoyed working with the technician that came quickly to my house to install the equipment. He was very patient and explained everything to us in detail. All in all I would say it was a good experience.

From Tristan ** to Tech a smooth quick process. Both very informative and clear. The installation was very quick, professional and explanation of use was concise and clear. Confident that the system installed will perform as promised. Based on the information provided, I believe the Vivint Security and Camera system with the doorbell camera and the camera installed in the back yard will provide satisfactory coverage to monitor activity in both front and back of the property. In addition there is a clear view to the side door as well the double doors providing access for my vehicle.

I am very happy with the service I received today! The tech was very patient and I am very pleased with him. I would recommend the tech that came to my house to anyone would is getting Vivint. He was very personable and helpful.

Amazing security system, good service, and the best cameras you can possibly buy on the market. Trust me, well worth money. It’s so clear. Sensors are pet friendly as well which is super nice. Smoke and co combined. I love the app access as well, no lag at all.

Was sold on electric door lock and fire alarm and CO2 alarm. Got home and none of these items were installed! Tech had some excuse why he couldn’t install them. If there was a problem he should have talked to the salesman that sold the unit to me and worked it out. I ended up with half the equipment I was promised! Not happy one bit. Will not refer your company to any of my friends.

The Salesman and installer are each very knowledgeable in their work. The equipment is very well up-to-date. The equipment is also more expensive than that which we have had with other companies in the past. In the beginning, the payments will include a 5-year loan for that equipment but with 0% interest. Cameras are hooked up to our electricity and don't require battery charging. No more climbing ladders to get them down, and to put them back up. So far, I would recommend Vivint to all my friends for their home security.

Overall my experience was good, especially with the installer. The installer was really courteous, professional, and did an excellent job! The sales guy was too, but he did oversell the camera quality a bit (it’s not 4K like they say, it’s just average like 720p). The equipment itself is very high quality, and is working great so far!

After swapping from Simplisafe, this has been a much better experience. There were a few hiccups in installation, but they were resolved by the technician at no cost (some hardware was damaged during install due to wiring, but the tech fixed the wiring and replaced the hardware). Everything seems to be working “turn key” and have been very happy with the customization available through the app.

I met Ryan and discussed his system, very impressive and while not cheap, do you want the cheapest security? You get what you pay for and this stuff is the real deal, far superior to any system I’ve seen in 50 years of being a real estate agent and I seen lots.

They came as promised, replaced the old equipment and put up the new. Looks good! They went over everything, and set up the signs.

Sales was high pressure. No time to really think about things. Installer there minutes later and installed and disconnected other security system same day. Issues getting balance other contract paid. Tried to up my monthly payment with Fortiva & was told I could stay with the MINIMUM or pay entire balance. Very expensive.

The rep did a great job explaining the services. He helped get set up with payment. The equipment is pricy but there were many options to help get some security. The installer was super informative and helpful. All together a great team. Looking forward to our new home security system.

Happy to assist with the credit for the door lock and kept in contact after installing the system. Technician was very helpful with everything and making sure we understood how to use it. This is by far the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I have been using this service for less than a month and have encountered more issues than I care to mention but the most concerning is the lack of honesty this company operates with. When I contacted Vivint about installing cameras in my home I had requested a total of 8 cameras. During the initial sales call, I was told that 8 cameras would be fine and told all these amazing things about their system.. So of course when they said they could send out a technician to finalize my package and talk about camera placement I agreed.

Sales person was very courteous and knowledgeable about the system install. I was pleased with the entire process. Tech was very nice and stayed focused on his work. Very hardworker. He did an excellent job. Waiting for techs to return to complete installation of where they did not have all of the equipment to complete the installation.

They did a great job and were very helpful but little pricey when purchasing the equipment. Feel you can get more bang for the buck if they brought down their prices more. Overall it is what it is and still a good system.

From the first knock on the door, Vivint employees were awesome. System is far superior to my previous system and they didn’t plaster their name all over my windows either. So glad I made the switch to them. Will definitely recommend to others.

Installer was professional and courteous during the install. Recommend to install cameras outside at a later date. He put covers on his shoes and treated my home like his. He even helped my painters look for some equipment that they misplaced so overall really happy with job.

Setup of my security system was simple; however, I wish there would have been more transparency in the initial process with the walk up sales rep. No mention of a credit pull or credit account opening was ever given and it was only after the rep told me I’d be paying $85 a month for security service, which sounded great, did I find out that a credit check was needed and then I was asked to complete a credit application for Fortiva. Further, the rep stated that the inquiry was a soft pull and it was not. Mind you, the security system does provide peace of mind, but baiting consumers in with videos of Snoop and only mentioning the monthly security payment and no mention of the credit application applicable can be a cause for concern.

Tech was on time, quickly installed the system & explained the whole system thoroughly. Maybe explained the system a bit too quickly but all is well. I will either practice with it or call support. But everything seems to be working well so far.

Everything went very well with installation, but I just wish Vivint required employees to wear ID cards. We easily confirmed our technician’s identity with his ID number and online employee lookup, but it would've made us more comfortable to see an ID on person.

Sales rep lied and did not provide us with all the information we needed to know before we signed the purchase agreement. A credit card account was opened under my name and maxed out in the amount of $4000. Sales rep never said this would happen and when asked specifically if our credit would be ran, he said no. Not only were two hard inquiries taken on my credit, my credit score dropped 100 points because of the account opened with Fortiva. This is a terrible business practice and I will not do business with Vivint again.

This is our first time with a system, but I grew up with one. The guy that was sent out, William, was really great. I can’t think of anything that couldn’t have been better. The pricing is really reasonable and process was really smooth and he explained everything as he went. It was a wonderful experience! Hopefully the system works and we have no issues.

The tech was on time, very friendly and very knowledgeable of the equipment. Was very patient in showing me how the system works. It took a little time because the system needed to be set up and some of the parts needed to be re-set.

The tech who came had to have another tech come out because he wasn't sure how to install a doorbell only. They commented on how nice the house and items in it were, which made me uncomfortable. The microphone doesn't work outside.

Good professionalism from system installer. Unfortunately, installation challenges added more time than expected. Back door camera worked, but did not stay online. Problem could not be resolved by tech support. Currently not happy with my choice. I have 3 business days to decide to keep the system.

My sales rep was extremely late for our scheduled appointment. When I decided to purchase the system your technician changed his arrival time twice. From 830 to possible 930pm and then arrived to my house at 1015pm. He said it would take him about 4hrs to install the system. Then he didn’t have all the necessary equipment. He left my house at 1am and have to reschedule for august 9 at 6pm. My question to Vivint…is this the service to expect now that I’ve made my purchase? Very sloppy work and customer service. Extremely disappointed!!!

I really like having everything in one app. The cameras and amazing and they double as an intercom system. Installation was quick but the DVRs were back ordered. Only real complaint was guys didn’t clean up most of the messes they made. Otherwise, they were really nice and knowledgeable.

I found that amazing, The only reason I give it 4 stars is that they weren't able to finish the entire work order because they had run out of equipment from the busy work day. We scheduled for them to come back and finish. Still a quick turn around.

All in all it was a great experience, we never felt pressured and the personalities of the two gentlemen were so reassuring and made us feel (so important) like we were talking with friends or neighbors.

I felt slightly mislead into what the system actually entailed, maybe an assumption that I knew each component was another "thing" to install. I did not. I won't use the motion detector, or the fall button, I think the glass breakage is overkill. I do like the the camera system - and the security that all is monitored when I travel.

Nick was great in explaining how the system worked and exactly what we were getting. We are pleased with the system in short amount of time we have had it. We look forward to working with Vivint to keep our home and property safe.

Just had three cameras doorbell and motion sensors installed into the home. John was great. He was punctual and kind. He really walked us through all the steps and helped get everything set up. Unfortunately none of the wires in my home was labeled and he really stuck It out to get everything installed. So far I’m really happy with the quality of the camera equipment video looks great and will just have to see how it goes so for now would recommend to a friend.

Didn’t even finish setting me up!!! My panel is still logged in to the old owners!!! Didn’t even finish to set up my log in. I had to do it on my own with the directions from the website and still the old owners' cameras are on my login etc. Unacceptable.

Excellent techs and sales men. I was really surprised when they told me how fast they were gonna be able to install everything. Literally 30 mins after I gave the sales men the green light. The techs used excels to team work to get the job banged out and were very helpful teaching my wife and I.

The young man Jessie was very professional and thorough. He had an answer for every question we asked. When techs came in to install it was very late when they got started but they worked with a sense of urgency the entire time and knew what they were doing.

Awesome customer service thus far. They have to come back and fix some issues but not a big deal as I still have a security alarm system. I love having cameras so I can view my house inside and out while I am home and away. I also like I can answer the door with my doorbell service.

The system is super cool and works well so far. I’m really impressed with everything I’ve seen so far. The associates are professional, honest, and do a great job!! They work to find the best stuff to suit your home.

Overall the alarm system seems to be very user friendly and has some good features. Items that seem to be amiss are the lack of Vivint smart light switches and only one model (888) of the Kwikset lock that are compatible. I wanted to use a different Kwikset lock but was told it is not guaranteed to work. My current Schlage lock works but has some glitches with Vivint.

From customer service to installation, and overall service, Vivint is awesome. They were very helpful explaining how the system works and ensured us full coverage in and out of the house. They have done an excellent job. Please use them to safely watch your home.

The only reason this isn’t a 1 is because the customer service person I talked to corrected most of the issues I had with installation and billing. However, it resulted in hours of wasted time for no reason. The installer was horrible, barely showed us how to use the system, improperly installed some equipment, did a poor job of removing the prior equipment, couldn’t explain the bill and tried to overcharge me. The only response to my questions was I needed to call someone else.

We wanted to change from old service to new service with added security for an elderly parent living with us. They delivered what they promised and very quickly too. I would highly recommend their services if you are considering a change or new services.

My security system is built on my needs with Vivint, rather than a cam system that I had. I received great explanation on how the new system works and they even synced my fob from my old system to the new. An added plus is, after paying for the equipment, my monthly bill will be lower than what I was paying.

Awesome service. Very experienced. The technician was knowledgeable and efficient, knew what he was doing, explained the install and walked me through correct usage of the installation. Told me what to do and what not to do as well as the consequences in not following the correct steps and dealing with the responder if I should make a mistake.

I enjoy the ease of being able to use an app on phone. All cameras provide extra protection we were looking for. Would definitely recommend to others.

I have only had the system up and running for about 13 hours. So far it is everything I expected. Would like to have had an instruction book furnished after it was installed, just in case I missed something after receiving the verbal instructions. Really impressed with the cameras.

Jerry was my original rep which was beyond behind one day. I waited 12-6 so he rescheduled for the next morning only to cancel again. He finally came 2 days later and couldn’t find the power source which he believed to be in the crawl space, at this time we didn’t have a ladder so we couldn’t see. 8/3 the job was transferred to Cortland. Once he got here we gave him the run down and he had a ladder in the car which I believe Jerry had also but was too lazy to grab it and start our activation. Once Cortland came he set everything up no problem. I truly appreciate him and would recommend him all over Vegas. Sweet kid.

Very efficient team. Spoke with a mobile sales rep who was in our neighborhood late afternoon, agreed to terms online while at a kids’ sport practice that evening, install team showed up that night…at like 9PM??!! Everyone was really nice and professional, but honestly the install was pretty inconvenient as we had young kids to put to bed and jobs requiring early wake-ups the next day. That said, the system seems very capable and is intuitive to use.

Pleasant experience. The spiel was quite long but the technicians showed within minutes of my signing the contract. They had to work until 10:30 to do the complete installation.
