I've been a tech for 2 years and have fallen in love with the system, as soon as my wife and I brought our first home we decided to put Vivint Smart Home Security in it and we haven't been disappointed at all.

First I like to say our technician Chad ** arrived on time. He was very professional, knowledgeable and honest. We were amazed how fast he efficiently finished the task. He helped with setup on our phones. He gave us a very thorough demonstration of the keypad. Chad, "thank you" for making this experience pleasant.

Friendly sales staff. Pleasant installer. Then one day you have an emergency. Welcome to subcontractor HELL. EMERGENCY CALL that includes waiting forever with Muzak!! I was promised protection. Security. Monitoring. While I'm STILL ALIVE. Can't even figure out my address. Have put them in Dispute with Visa. Want my money back. And I will get it. Over 4,600 complaints already filed with the BBB of Provo, Ut. F rating. Avoid Vivint.

Love the system but after installation service disappointed. No one is available to answer my inquiries. The system is so easy to use. I got locked out of my house Thanksgiving. I had no keys but was able to get in using my phone. Life saver.

The Tech was very knowledgeable, efficient, on time and friendly. Highly recommend this company. He came inside the scheduled window and following the walkthrough promptly got work. He was able to integrate he’s equipment into my existing Power 4 system without me having to buy extra equipment.

Such nice men. I love everything. They were so kind and concrete and knowledge. I would give great reviews to your company. The best alarm system and the best personal. We have your system in four family homes No five homes.

I can’t say enough good about Zane and his professionalism and expertise in doing our Vivint install!! He patiently worked with us to understand what we wanted and carefully explained options so that we could customize the security system to meet our needs. Great job!!

First and foremost the technician was on time. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. Explained how to manage the system and went over it with minute details. I only have to get the internet installed to have full access to the system.

I was really blown away by the Vivint technology and knowledge of the installer. It’s really nice to have someone with adequate experience working on your home security, who can answer questions and ensure that all of the products are installed correctly.

Vivint install was painless and informative. Will suggest to others. My installer Brady was helpful and suggested what we needed not trying to sell us more. Appreciated his honesty. Brady was prompt and efficient with his time and mine. He walked me through the app and technology and answered all questions I could think of then left his contact info in case I have follow ups.

So we had Vivint Security System installed at our house yesterday. James did the install and he really did everything right. Took his time to go over the system and answered all the questions we had. Got us going in the right direction. Thanks so much James.

This was the best experience ever. My technician Danny was so thorough and patient as he took me thru the steps of the install, place the cameras at the perfect angles and explaining the process. I’m highly recommending VIVINT+Danny to all my friends/family. Promote Danny above his peers please. He the absolute BEST!!

Technician, Micheal I believe, was knowledgeable and helpful. Cleaning up and courteous. Not sure what ya pay em.. but it could probably be more. Definitely recommend them. Thanks to Hank for running through all the scenarios. Have been wanting a security system for a while and this definitely fits the bill. Peace of mind.

5 stars for the man who installed our system. He was knowledgeable, polite & very patient with all our questions. We are 2 senior citizens still learning how to use the system as this is only the 3rd day, but so far so good. We feel much safer.

I got my system installed a couple of days ago and I have no complaints. My installation time was between 8-12 and my the technician was there by 9. The technician was nice, professional, and knowledgeable about the product. I would definitely recommend Vivint to others.

After moving to a new neighborhood I decided to get a door camera. As a Cox customer I originally went with their "Homelife" program but it worked less than 50% of the time so I disconnected it. I remembered a neighbor from the neighborhood I had just left worked for Vivint so I reached out and asked some questions. He was honest, not pushy in the least and I knew I could trust him. So today I can breathe a sigh of relief with far superior protection than I ever imagined. And know that tech support (or my ex neighbor) will gladly help with any dumb questions I may have. Oh and clean up? He brought his own dust buster vac to suck up any dust!!!

Was fast and amazing and helping me reconnect my system that was offline and organized my account to set up codes and passwords to use my system more efficiently. I was very pleased with the service that was provided for me.

Marco was awesome at explaining everything and was so friendly. He made everything very clear and answered any questions I had. I would totally recommend Vivint to a friend and Marco made the whole experience very comfortable and finished installation in a timely manner!

Courtney ** was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I will want him to continue the other installations I will need in a couple of months. He cleaned after himself; he left the place in the same condition he has found it. I have a LOT OF RESPECT FOR HIM and for Vivint.

Zac ** did a great job with installing our system and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Zac took the time to show us how to operate our system and helped us set us up on our phones. This was a smooth process from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Vivint to family and friends.

The installer handling our installation was very informative, professional and clean with keeping boxes and debris contained. Anything that required drilling a hole was consulted before proceeding. The esthetics of where an item should be placed was considered and discussed to allow me to make a sound decision.

All my interactions starting with my first contact with sales has been exceptional. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They do just the right amount of followup to keep the process going and keep me informed. I am very happy with everything so far.

Decided to purchase a security system from Vivint because my grandson has it and recommended I do the same. Everyone I’ve spoken with has been helpful and easy to understand. Installation was easy as well. Arrived on time, respectful and fast! Walked me through using the system and I could not be happier.

This is the first time we’ve had any type of alarm system and to date, the whole process was easy and painless. The sales person was professional, not pushy and my technician was polite and explained everything. We did add some more items which were explained and definitely worth it. Again I didn’t feel pressured.

The reason why we are dissatisfied with the service is because whenever we pay for the service we was told we will be getting our service turned on the next day but unfortunately that's not true. We ask for two cameras, motion sensors and 11 Windows to be alarmed and we did not get that and we are not satisfied.

Jerry installed my system. He was very prompt and professional. I receive service the same day I ordered. He educated me on how to work my system. He was very polite and extremely helpful. I would recommend him and VIVINT services to all my friends, family, and coworkers. Thank you VIVINT and thank you Jerry.

My husband and I were very pleased with our Vivint Tech. Keith was very nice and had a lot of product knowledge. It was awesome to have met him. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Happy holidays!!!

My house has been my greatest financial investment, that's why I need to protect it, needless to mention my family spend most of the time in this place. Vivint is not the cheapest company but by far is the best. My advice: get a piece of paper and make a list of all questions you may have about the service, the equipment, the multiple scenarios you may think (brake in, fire, health emergency etc), once you have a vivint rep in front of you have him/her clearly answer all your questions. If you have satisfactory answers then move to the financial part of it, otherwise it doesn't make sense talking about prices or cost if you can't see the value on it.

Where do I begin? Tech shows up hour after promise time at 830 pm. After drilling holes and messing with my doorbell they cut the wrong wire and cut the other two, too short. Now I am unable to power the doorbell. After shorting the chime, Tech finally leaves at 10pm after promising to return this week. If they can fix it I will have them remove all their equipment from the house.

Sales person and Install crew were a real treat compared to the average front door sales experience! Had I the means, they would each receive a pay bonus based on my experience with my first alarms system purchase!! I even set off a duress alarm accidentally learning how my new system works and the tech that called to investigate was also Top Notch!! If this is what I can expect from Vivint in the future, I look forward to a very long and satisfying relationship! And please, SERIOUSLY, extend my thanks to those young men who introduced me into the world of Vivint Home Security!

My interest in security systems centered on having adequate camera coverage on my front/back yards & these cameras look great. Aesthetically, they look good & the picture is clear too. All of the other equipment (door, motion & glass) were added bonuses.

Needed proper security for my first home, did my due diligence and boy am I glad I went with Vivint! The customer service was top notch and my installer, Mike P, was super knowledgeable to all my questions and catered to all my install needs! He took his time and took no shortcuts making sure I was comfortable with the new system. Very impressed! Highly would recommend to anyone looking to best secure their home.

The entire process was seamless. My previously installed sensors linked up easily and the installation person, Audry, was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me all along the way. The overall pricing is a good value, especially moving forward. The entire installation process took less than 2 hours.

To be honest with you, the system seems to work fine. But a better onboarding experience would’ve been helpful. Even links to YouTube apps showing how the app works would’ve been great. We purchased a home with an existing system. It would have been helpful to have someone take us thru the system and how the locks worked.

This gives the ability to monitor & control the thermostat from our permanent home 1,400 miles away. We are also able to unlock for someone and, of course, a smoke alarm that is only sound, is of no use when we are at our permanent home.

Very knowledgeable with product, Joe ** took time explaining all features and was patient when explaining to us. There was so many questions but all addressed appropriately. Joe ** nice.. Would recommend MR Joe ** to any of my friends.

Danny M was very helpful! I'm glad he came through for my installation. He was very detailed about how it all works. I was able to learn a lot of things. I will recommend him to anybody! He does such genuine work.

I complained early after the installation that the installer hurriedly rushed through how the system worked! I have since called in asking for any installer or tech working in this area to please stop by for additional “hands on” system inspection and instructions for me. That has not happened to date and the system (to include both the Camera and the Doorbell) is Offline 99 percent of the time!! Instructions that direct me to check the Doorbell and if there is no green color, to reboot from the main control just does not work! I am very unhappy with this Vivint system as I think it is faulty and I’m NOT getting my money’s worth. Somebody please do something!! HELP! Please!!

Our tech guy Marco, who came out to install everything for us was awesome! He was very helpful and professional! He made sure to answer all our questions and or concerns! Explained everything in detail, and did all the installments in a timely manner.

The boys who installed our equipment were great! They were efficient as well as personable. They made sure everything was done right & we knew everything about the equipment. We felt comfortable the whole time & they were wonderful! We would definitely recommend Vivint to our friends.

Courteous, professional service. Highly recommend going with tanner and Steven to get set up and cost was better than I expected the camera quality. They listen to what was needed and made all the proper accommodations, I was very happy with the outcome. Definitely worth the money and better than than the service I had.

The man that set up the cameras did an excellent job and explained how to use the devices. He showed me how to set up the camera features on the app. The man was polite and showed me where the cameras would record and how to use the events feature on the app. Thank you.

Eric was neat, presented himself well and experienced and was very efficient. He went over all the instructions making sure we understood. I would definitely recommend him and Vivint security system. And the best part he also has pug pups like we do.

We had problems connecting the Vivint console to either of the two modem/wifi systems here but Clark installed a Vivint router to enable the console to connect to the CenturyLink modem. The smart security/thermostat control system is now up and running.

Very pleased with the installation and help with the keypad setup. I needed new sensors and was able to get them setup the same day. The installer was very helpful. I did not want to pay so much, so I was able to get what I needed at a good price. I am very happy to be able to use the app and live the video doorbell feature.

Vivint offers the best tools needed for your home monitoring security system. Their techs are very professional and knowledgeable with every service they provide. Quality of their cameras are extremely clear and great. Would recommend to all friends and family.

I spent weeks and hours upon hours pouring over security systems for our first home. I read tons of reviews and compared pricing models for DIY systems vs. packages/external security. Vivint came up again and again in my searches as not only highly rated but highly secure. The customer rep I spoke to answered every single (lengthy) question I had about the system, and I loved that I had options in terms of paying a lump sum for the equipment or rolling it into my monthly bill.

My Vivint Tech, George, was really courteous, professional and very knowledgeable! He was extremely patient explaining the use of the system. He took the time to go through each and every device in full detail. He also made certain that all the batteries were changed out and that each device worked properly before moving on to the next. I was very pleased with his work!

Recommended by a friend - big mistake and horrible system. I have had Vivint security system for almost 2 months (Sept 30, 21) and it has not worked correctly from day one. I did not realize the front doorbell camera was intermittently going offline until 3 1/2 weeks after installation. I noticed it one evening by chance. I called customer service and the rep confirmed that my camera was offline not just this one time but every day since it was installed. Since then, I have had 3 Vivint techs out and each one has experienced the camera not working. One of them told me in early November that what I was told during the sale was not accurate and the system will not do what I was sold on it doing as it relates to hearing the doorbell throughout my house. I have call customer service several time over the past 2 months without any resolution to date.

He did a wonderful job with the install. He was clean and polite. He answered all of my questions and was patient with my deciding on the location for the new system. I'm excited for this system. Thank you again.

I had great service provided by Cameron and my install technician. Very pleased with my experience. The install tech even came late just to get it installed same day. Cameron explained all of my services with great knowledge and answered all of my questions.

Great service and equipment. I’m very pleased with the overall experience. Tech arrived to install my system on time and was very professional. I have no complaints. The entire transaction was seamless from beginning to end. Technician downloaded the app on my phone and showed me how to use it.

The RM took at least 3 hours of my time while visiting my house 2 times. He didn’t know how to stop talking even when I asked about price or a quote. Even when he finally got to the numbers he insisted on building my “dream package” even though I told him I want to build “MY PACKAGE.” He never mentioned that in order to get this set up they were going to have to drill holes in my door, door frame, and wall. Very unhappy with this experience and amount of time it took from my life.

I was very pleased with our experience, everything was taken care of and we were provided with excellent customer service and prompt installation. Instructions were given at the end of installation and my husband and I felt comfortable using our new security system. Our first night sleeping in our new home felt safer knowing we had a great security system protecting our family.

I love being able to call them and having an answer in minutes. Them being stationed at Utah is also a huge plus. During installation, the employee was incredibly courteous, would answer all of our doubts and questions, and even offer his professional opinion on our security system. It brings great confidence to a product when the employees also highly recommend it. The best part is that not only are they of great quality, they are also incredibly affordable.

I love this equipment, the quality of the cameras, functionality of the app, as well as the panel in the house. Plus, we feel a lot more safe having the sign out front. The smart locks are certainly a plus too!

The technician was informative and thorough. He made good suggestions that I heeded. I appreciate the job he did and thus far am satisfied with the installation. Seems a little pricey however there is no contract which is a plus. Overall I would recommend Vivint.

He was able to tie in other products like HUE and MyQ without issue and the system is working great. Vivint is a great company to have. We feel much safer now that we are back with Vivint. Been with them for over 10 years now. We sold our previous 2 houses and just kept bringing them along with all our moves.

While out with COVID my service was shut off. Once I recovered and paid the bill Vivint would not reactivate my account. It's been 30 + days with no access to view account information or utilize the app or security hub. I called to cancel service and called to speak with a supervisor/manager and was repeatedly blind transferred to advance technical services who could not resolve my issue.

Installation person was super helpful in explaining how the system works. He made sure we were satisfied with the placement of everything before doing any work. Thanks for taking your time and help us with this system. He took his time to do a proper installation so it can look nice, clean and professional

Very nice work, fast and clean, they show me how the app work and the table as well, showed me how to change the settings on both and told me where everything is been set up, I will recommend it to some of my friends in the future, the cámaras are nice

Receive proper notice when they were going to come and install my new system receive notice when they’re actually here to work on it. The was very courteous I’m very professional. He helps explain how to use the system, make sure I understand before he left and did not leave a mess. Thanks again Luis for all your help.

Michael was extremely helpful and professional. He went out of his way to ensure my home had the proper security equipment to protect my home. Much of the equipment left in the home from the sellers was obsolete and ineffective, he ensured every piece was up to date and functioning well. Additionally, he was very easygoing and was great to communicate with for the few hours he was in my home. Very satisfied with Vivint and their customer service!

New to Vivint switching from a competitor. So far I have received great customer service. Went above and beyond to answer all my questions! Were able to work some "magic" to get me in the price point I was looking for. I'm paying the same amount for my equipment that I paid with the competitor 3 years ago but all new, updated equipment with Vivint! Excited to be a new customer!

Best installation guy ever. They were patient, courteous and hardworking. There were some issues on the paperwork end, but he did everything in his power to get things sorted out even as the staff on the other end forced us to keep calling back until they made the necessary corrections. I was impressed with their determination and professionalism.

Horrible business practices!!!!! Do not use this company at all!!! They do not honor their contracts. They had technicians come to our brand new home, ruin our garage equipment, blame us for their equipment not working. When we asked them to pick up all the equipment, they told us we would have to pay for the equipment in full. Fast forward two years later, we are just trying to close the account completely after dealing with them for two years and they still want us to pay for their horrible equipment and suddenly found a Buy-Out promise to keep us from having to pay the monitoring services. If you get a knock on your door from these people, then please make sure you tell them heck no!!! JUST HORRIBLE!!!!! I don't understand how you can damage a brand new home, leave your trash in the home, and then blame the customer. Do not give them any of your money because you will be stuck with their horrible service.

Chase was my installer and he did not miss! From his great customer service to the poise and knowledge he showed about the system. Could have asked for a better experience. I am pleased with the system and everything that came with it. I truly feel safe and at a convenient price.

Very professional and competent. Nice person and easy to work with. Explain the operation of the system and he completed the work quickly and neatly. I would have this person again to do this work and so far I have been very happy with Vivint.

The automated video survey at the end of signup was redundant and incredibly annoying. It was awkward with the sales rep standing right there being asked the same questions. I almost declined service based on the end survey. The sales rep was great; the automated survey was the problem.

Technician was great, very knowledgeable answered all my 100 questions. I feel very secure with Vivint. I absolutely love my outdoor front and back camera. Then, let's not forget the extra surprise on the front door!!!! Reader you will need to ask, but it's worth purchasing.

We had the greatest tech install our equipment, Ty. He was polite, efficient, and very respectful of our property. There was an issue with billing in setting up our account accurately, Ty continued to set up our equipment while remaining in contact with the billing/accounting department to make sure we were being billed correctly. We appreciate his determination and time spent to make sure the issue was resolved before he left. All the equipment was installed with such care it looks seamless and he even cleaned up after himself. It was refreshing to have a tech take pride in his work and provide excellent customer service. Tech was very knowledgeable and very polite. Tech explained everything he was doing and how to program either people and things into system. Tech cleaned up after himself and check all equipment to make sure it was all working properly.

Sales reps and installation technician were very knowledgeable and friendly. Taught us everything we needed. Sales reps were trusted like family. Hardware is of great quality and is working great. This is easy for family that are coming and going to use.

Cost too much. No options. Too long contracts. I have thirty days for the money. If one thing is off I will send it back. 2000 cost for your free installation. I think you are over selling your products for way too much money. It’s going to have to live up to your cost.

I would like to give 5 stars because everyone we spoke with was friendly, the installation went smoothly and everything is working great. However, the technician who came out to install spent over an hour collectively throughout the service appointment aggressively trying to upsell us everything under the sun, when all we wanted was the basic security system and 3 cameras. I get it, I've been in sales before and recognized all of his "overcoming customer objections" techniques, trying not to take no for an answer, but all it did was annoy my mom and myself to no end. Just install what we ordered, that's all we want!!

Due to time limitations, system orientation seemed a bit rushed for us “old” people. Otherwise installation was a 5-star. Appreciated the fact that the installer wore a mask and “booties” during the installation and cleaned every area in which he worked.

Eric was our installer. He was awesome and detailed about how it all works. As a security company I would make the passcode more private rather than telling him and him entering it. Also, app did not work at first.

The install technician was very nice so five stars to him. However, after five hours of being involved with this installation, I still do not have access from my phone due to a “glitch in the system” as described by customer support as it was recommended I call them whenever the system failed to work immediately following installation. Overall not impressed by this new system and it’s only Day One.

I have been a loyal customer over 5 years and for the last 6 months none of my devices have worked properly. I have tried three different time to wait for a 4 hour window for a technician to show and they never do or communicate that they will not be there. Every time I call in the previous representative does not update account correctly. Not the type to leave a review but people need to know how they operate.
