    I've had my system for 2 days and false alarms are randomly going off and waking me up at night. Yes there's a 3 day cancelation but Vivint says I have to pass away or move to a retirement home in order to qualify for cancellation. I do not recommend this system. It's like the boy who cried wolf. Oh and an automatic computer is who you talk to when an alarm goes off. Not an actual person.

    First time using this company, it seems everyone is too busy to help their customers. Purchased the security and very disappointed at the end of the day. The installer did a good job until we we were told two items to install he did not have. He said he would make another appointment for someone to finish today, never happened. No calls. Nothing. I call the number to get assistance but no one could help, the person said she would call the manager to see why the tech did not show up. Never heard anything back, wow. Very disappointing. My wife waited all day and no one showed up, it’s nice to know early about the service, so I can lower my expectations moving forward.

    The cancellation process was disingenuous. I was told in an email a full refund was in process and would be available in 3-7 days. It was not and more hoops to jump through to get the refund. Very disappointing. I still don’t know why it is so difficult.

    I’ll begin with the products. The products are great and highly recommended. This system is a wired system, so the installer needed to drill through walls. I had questions before I purchased this system bundle that consists of cameras, thermostats and a doorbell regarding how they install, drill, and connect the system. I was reassured that the technicians were highly qualified and they know what they were doing and have done many of them. So I walked away feeling OK with that. Unfortunately there was home damage during the installation. The Technician drilled a hole right through my sliding French door frame. This French slider is only a few months old.

    The technician told me he made a mistake and drilled another hole in my stucco foam trim around the slider to continue the installation of the door bell. It is not installed correctly, no centering. He Also told me that he would be installing equipment on stucco, not the foam trim around my house. I questioned it, and he said that is what other people do. He told me he could fix the hole in the slider, but I told him he drilled a hole right through the frame. This cannot be fixed. It needs replacing. Then a few hours later it rained. So now I have to worry about if water got in there for the time being. He had numerous phone calls throughout the installation process and would answer the phone and talk to whoever was calling him. It was not work related. Then he left his drill near one of the thermostats he installed and I had to call him so he could come back and pick it up. This is unacceptable, and I am very disappointed in the installation.

    We have been Vivint customers for around 10 years. The sensors on our windows are relaying a message to the panel that says needs battery replacement. Vivint won't send someone out to look at it until we pay $50 or they want us to fix ourselves. We explain that the wires go into the wall of the house and we cannot follow them but they insist we follow the wires? We are fed up with not talking with a live person to help and then those who are trying to help don't know what to do. I have been on the phone for 2 hours today trying to cancel our service. I didn't get a live person for over an hour (I understand everyone is short handed).

    I had to call back 3 different times and all 3 times someone told me a different story on how to cancel our service. It wasn't until the last person said I was in a contract with them for 42 months? This was not discussed and my husband signed the paper thinking they were just charging to fix something (again) 32 months ago! I had to pay off a loan I didn't know I had for equipment they gave us in order for the cameras to work. I then had to pay off our service contract which was $225? After being a customer for over 10 years you would think someone from the company would want to help. We never had an alarm go off or had to call them to cancel an alarm either. After all that the person on the other end asked if I wanted the referral code for family and friends.

    Rep was not very customer focused. He was more company focused. Any time I made a request for a personal choice he had some issue with it. He stapled a cable directly into our baseboards. He said we wouldn’t have the monitor pad on the counter and it had to be mounted to the wall even though our neighbors had their system installed last week and weren’t required to mount it. The sensors he put on our bronze door and black framed windows are white so they stick out and are not aesthetically pleasing. Very dissatisfied with the installation process.

    Horrible customer service for overpriced systems. They want to charge for system updates and upgrades even when the old equipment does not work. Over $2500 spent and very unhappy customer.     Vivint is the most worst security camera system. Their cameras did not pick up any of our burglary that we experience. This VIVINT company will not help you with the broken equipment and give you the run around to fix it. Their cameras are blurred and the monitor will black out time to time.     If we could leave a negative star, we would. The equipment never worked, but the biggest issue was what happened when we cancelled. We had paid outright for the equipment and had tenants moving into the house. The tenants decided they wanted to keep the Vivint service, so they called in to have the service transferred. Instead, Vivint created a new account for them, instead of merging ours. The end result was that we were billed for 3 months while the tenants were also billed, for the same address, and the same service, and the same equipment.

    I spent an hour on the phone with them just now, and was told that because we didn't authorize the tenants to take over our account (mind you, we were never told we needed to do that), we are out the three months. They double-billed us and the tenants, and after speaking to multiple people and their supervisors, I was told it was my fault. So, this company will perpetrate fraud against their customers and will not even try to make it right. STAY AWAY.

    The thermostats don't work. The camera on the front yard doesn't work. It doesn't work. The door lock doesn't work. Was charged more money what we agreed for.
