It was a good experience. Loved my salesperson. Briannell. He gave me everything I needed. I appreciate him working with me on my limited budget. I am a widow and on my own. The tech that installed my unit was very professional. He made sure I understood how to use my unit.

My technician Jose was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Saying that he was only supposed to install a doorbell camera and thermostat. Well he we talked and he upsold me on a security system for my house. Wish more technicians were like him.

My Vivint technician, Lucy, was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, she was kind, authentic, and incredibly patient. If I could, I’d give them a negative. Terrible!!! Charged for what I was told I wouldn’t be charged. Terrible equipment Customer service can’t speak English. I canceled and a month later received another bill and had to spend 2 hours on the phone and now since I don’t use their services, my equipment won’t work

Aaron was so kind and so helpful, he took a lot of time to walk me through everything and to help me decide what the best options were and during the install he took a lot of time to make everything work properly as we just moved into the house and there was a lot of chaos! Super professional and great! Currently using the system and it works great! Even better than expected really happy with it.

I've had Vivint since 2023 and when we moved I was going to get it switched to my new address. The technician came out to my house and told me that my equipment was installed incorrectly and I was lucky my house did not catch fire. I told them that we are not going to get their system installed in the new house and I have been paying them for 1 whole year without having their service. I called and told them that I wanted to cancel on more than one occasion, and they refuse to let me out of my contract saying, "they didn't put my family's life in immediate danger".
I have two young children and my husband and I are disabled Army veterans. They are telling me that I should feel grateful to them for finding out my equipment was installed incorrectly. The technician that found the problems told me that Vivint hires 3rd party contractors to install their equipment because it is cheaper for them. If I were you I would choose any other company. They are saying I owe them another $700 to get out of the contract.

Vivint is reasonably priced. The guys that came to do the installation were friendly. They were knowledgeable about their equipment. The installation did not take very long at all. They cleaned up before they left.

On January 7, 2026, I purchased a house in Spring, TX with a Vivint Security System fully installed. The system included window and door sensors, water sensors, a doorbell camera, an outdoor security camera, and a wall-mounted control panel that serves as the system’s main hub. The system had been fully wired and professionally installed prior to my purchase of the home. I noticed that the system was protected by access codes that were not provided to me. The seller reported that he was an investor who purchased the home through a foreclosure and did not have any information regarding the previous Vivint account or owner.
He stated this would require a $100 activation fee plus one month of monitoring at $51, totaling $162.76 with tax. It is absurd that I was required to pay such a large amount to activate a security system already installed in a home I legally own. This appears to be a questionable business practice.
After extended back-and-forth, the representative stated that he could not place the system in my name because the previous owner’s account was still active. He claimed the previous owner would need to call and cancel their account themselves. I explained that this was impossible due to the foreclosure and asked for a way to verify my ownership of the property. He refused to assist. I spent over 30 minutes on this call with no resolution.
During the call, while attempting to gather information for the representative on the home control pad, I accidentally armed the system. I was effectively a hostage in my own home, unable to open doors without triggering the alarm. The representative still refused to help. When I opened the garage, I unknowingly triggered the alarm, and it began blaring. Even then, he refused to assist or transfer me to a manager, stating that I could not speak to a manager because I did not yet have an account, which was the entire reason for my call.
I ended the call due to the representative’s incompetence and began searching online for a solution. After 40 minutes of the alarm blaring, and multiple online searches, I located a code online that successfully deactivated it. Now having the code, I called Vivint again. This time, I was connected to an American representative. Within 10 minutes, this representative created an account for me and scheduled a remote technician appointment to activate the system in my name. Please note: the initial contract sent to me had the wrong address. I called Vivint, had it corrected, and then signed the contract titled “Terms of Alarm Monitoring, Installation, & Sale.” I paid the $162.76 activation fee and awaited the scheduled appointment.
The appointment was scheduled for 4:00 PM Central Time the following day. Because we had not yet moved into the house, I specifically arranged my schedule to arrive at the property at that time. However, at 3:39 PM, I received a text stating the appointment had to be postponed because Vivint needed to verify that I owned the property. This verification could, and should, have been handled well before the appointment time. I sent the required documentation, via email, immediately. I was told verification would take about an hour. However, at 4:50 PM, I received another text stating they needed additional time. I had planned my entire day around the 4:00 PM appointment and had other obligations. The appointment was rescheduled for January 14, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
On January 14, 2026, a Vivint technician attempted to activate the system remotely. Despite walking through multiple codes and procedures, the wall-mounted control panel would not activate. The device appeared brand new, and I personally removed the protective plastic film from the screen during the call. The technician stated that an in-person visit was required and scheduled one for January 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
Please note: Customer service called me and reported I needed to sign a new contract due to the technician coming out. They sent the document over, however the pricing had changed from $49.99 per month, $51 with tax, to $69.99 per month. I called them immediately and they tried multiple solutions, however they could not amend the contract for whatever reason. I told them I would not be signing the contract unless it is corrected. About an hour later, I received a call back from customer service who reported they were able to amend the contract with the correct pricing. I signed it.
On January 15, 2026, I received a text at 10:00 AM stating that the technician’s arrival window was now 4:00 PM–8:00 PM. This extended window had never been communicated to me. I arrived at the vacant home at 4:00 PM. After about 10 minutes, I reached out to their chat support line and was connected to a chat representative who reported the technician would arrive at 4:36 PM. At 4:45 PM, no technician had arrived. When I followed up, the chat representative repeated the same scripted response about the 4–8 PM window and refused to assist further. I let them know that this was unacceptable. I then called customer service. The representative contacted the technician and later informed me that the technician would not arrive until after 8:00 PM. This was unacceptable. I requested to reschedule for January 16, 2026, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, which they confirmed.
On January 16, 2026, I received a text at 8:49 AM stating the technician was on the way. I immediately responded that no one was at the house and that this time was incorrect. I received no response. After calling customer service, they stated that this “must have been a mistake by the technician,” and that the technician would arrive at 1:00 PM, which he did. My wife and father-in-law were there to greet him. The technician worked for approximately an hour, then called me to state that the wall-mounted control panel could not be activated and needed to be replaced. He placed me on a call with his manager, who stated that I could either pay $500 for a replacement or sign a 60-month monitoring contract at $51 per month. This is outrageous and predatory. I declined.
Again, please note that this panel appeared brand new and was working perfectly as far as displaying the security camera footage, alarm activation and deactivation, and active sensor monitoring. After declining, the manager stated that my $162.76 would be refunded, but also claimed that unless I paid for the new panel, and the activation fee, the previous owner could not be removed from the account. This meant that they could still access video footage and alarm controls. This is completely unacceptable. After that, the technician left.
I arrived at the new home at 4:00 PM from work. At 4:10 PM, the technician surprisingly returned, stating he had left his drill. I allowed him inside to search for it. He was unable to locate it and he left again. Approximately 15 minutes later, the technician knocks on the door again. This time, he drops his professional demeanor and begins to accuse us of stealing his drill. He states, “Come on man, give me my drill. I know you have it.” My utter horror and shock when I hear this is evident on my face. I explain to him that there are several drills in the house and that I do not need his drill. I welcomed him in again to look, and I gave him access to my tools to ensure that they are not his.
After he could not locate the drill. He continued to make statements such as:- “It didn’t just grow legs and walk away.”
- “There’s nowhere else it could be.”
- “I did you a favor installing that motion detector. Come on, give me my drill.”
My father-in-law decided to go out with him and help the technician check his truck to see if he misplaced it. They were unable to find it. After about 5 minutes, the technician comes back to the house and makes the statement, “I saw your wallet on the counter all day and didn’t take it. I showed integrity. Why can’t you?” The aforementioned accusations were deeply disturbing and unprofessional. I asked him to leave the property immediately and assured him, once again, that we did not have his drill. We later reviewed footage from the Vivint cameras and clearly saw the technician leaving the property with his drill in hand, as well as video evidence of him accusing us afterward. I reported this incident to Vivint and provided all the video footage. While they apologized, no resolution has been provided.
Please note: On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, I had not yet received the refund of the $162.76. I called customer service who apologized and could not understand why the refund was not already processed. They processed it and I received the refund the following day. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with any company in my entire life.

I've been paying for over a year without living at the same location. Vivint trying to force me to monitor while new tenants are in the unit. Since I canceled the subscription vivint has been harassing my tenant by setting off the alarm. Customer service is the worse I have experienced. I don't recommend Vivint, highly problematic.

I have had the worst luck with this company. I had a tech come out and fix my system on Dec 6, it is now Jan 21. I have made 3 calls all out the country, of which I cannot understand what they are saying. My tech told me he ordered a part for my door and I have heard nothing but crickets. I have been a customer for years. When I called to check on it, they said (I think) that there were no purchase orders and couldn't even tell me my tech's name or number. I'm beyond frustrated. I can not open my front door from the outside, and I have to leave it unlocked, of which is a major security risk. It's been well over a month that I've dealt with this.

Set up easy. However the tech had to call me to finish the set up. A little more written instruction for first time users would be helpful. If it was out there I didn’t know about it. So no real complaint, it was probably my failure to ask and communicate. I had never set up a security system or had one. Little common knowledge things for the tech may not be known by some people, such as I. However my tech did not lose patience with me and I was very thankful. All in all the experience was great and all the people I spoke to were very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this company to others. I would say to the adults that are not tech savvy, don’t worry they will help you thru it.!!!

I was cancelling my subscription and found out that I had a 42 month contract. I was never notified of this and would never have agreed to it if I had known. I thought it was a month to month contract. I had to pay 50% of the remaining 21 months of contract.

On 1/09/2026 my wife and I decided to upgrade our system to a better camera for 1200.00 for 3 cameras and a doorbell camera that Vivint said they would throw in since I kept having issues with my cameras and system. On 1/13/2026 after doing research i found that Vivint has a update camera the GEN 3s which no one ever mentioned because they are trying to push out the Gen 2s to deplete their stock so I asked if they had it available and was advised they are coming out in February 2026 and not ready for sales so I decided to have a troubleshoot call instead since my Gen 1s kept going offline and not working and cancel my upgrades.
On 1/14/2026 the tech came and I asked about the Gen 3s. He said he had it in his van and he would gladly install it. I said okay. I explained what the previous representative said from the loyalty department that they would sell me 3 gen 2s camera and throw in a doorbell. Tech told me just do the contract which was for 1918.40 which is a huge difference compare to the original agreement and explain to loyalty department and they would fix the rate and update my contract. After the tech left I was given the run around and then I finally spoke to a supervisor who said she couldn't do anything even though I was promised all these things. She would deduct some money off my account. Whatever vivint says they lie. There is always some hidden fee and don't let them promise you anything unless you see it in writing. Today I just called and cancelled my account with vivint due to the endless lies and promises. Stay far away from this company.

The rep was very pleasant and friendly. He explained everything thoroughly. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain everything again. Shaq and his new rep were very knowledgeable about the product. They were able to get all the equipment installed on the same day of purchase. I was very pleased with the results. The installer arrived an hour or an hour and half later. He had everything completed within a two hour frame of time. He explained how to use the equipment very well before he left the premise.

Excellent all around. Was an ADT customer for 15 years. While ADT was good, Vivint seems either on par or better equipment and materials. Install was a breeze and demonstrated capabilities was easy to grasp. Price was also far better compared to others. HIGHLY recommend.

In January 2026, I received a text and email notification from our security/internet/phone provider that the company was dropping the security coverage on our home by the 31st of January. Immediately contacted a neighbour about her Vivint Security home system. She had always been very positive about her Vivint Security for the last 15 years. I contacted company through email/text and called to set up a consultation for further information. Within the first 24 hours, I had started the process and set up an appointment for an in-home consult.
That is where Joseph ** entered the Vivint process of inquiry and installation of our customized home system, specifically designed for our own personal needs. Joseph was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. He assessed our needs with what I had discussed with the first Vivint customer service rep, Megan, the night before. That was a basic preliminary plan. We set up for appointment next day. Joseph’s input and expertise was exactly on point for what we wanted in a security system, and adjustment/changes were quickly made for implementation of installation. Joseph patiently answered all questions and inquiries about the Vivint system. There was no hurried decision-making, or pressure applied. We agreed to what was going to be installed.
It was a quick, and efficient installation. Clean, well-organized, and explained as we went through the process. After installing equipment, we were instructed and introduced to the system. Joseph was again patient and explained well how to use our new system. Also, he explained about using the Vivint app. He left contact info if we had initial problems or questions about Vivint system and needed further clarification or assistance. Excellent customer service and communication. We are pleased. We are a verified customer.

My installer, Chris was informative, helpful, and was able to explicitly explain which pieces of equipment did what and how best utilize them and why I needed them. I even asked them a few questions about whether or not he felt I needed certain other things and he was able to effectively explain how they worked and why I needed them. I’m happy he help sold me because I didn’t realize the gaps in my home security until he was able to point them out and he made valid points for each one.

Our Vivint technician went above and beyond during our installation. Even though our internet wasn’t working at the time, he didn’t let that slow him down. He found a solution, updated the panel, and made sure everything was fully set up and ready to use before he left. His professionalism, patience, and problem‑solving skills were outstanding. We truly appreciate his dedication and highly recommend him.

Installer was an hour late so now instead of losing one hour from work I lose three. This was all due to a loyalty price increase. So I keep discontinued service after they agreed to lower the price and then try to increase the price again using cable company tactics

I still wish that I could sue them. We had them several years ago. A neighbor’s tree limb fell on our power line and tore it loose from the telephone pole. Our house got zapped with over 7,000 volts of electricity which burned the interior of the power control panel. In addition, several motors and appliances were burned. There was no power to Vivint’s service panel. They did not call us or check with us to see why they lost their connection with our service panel. We demanded that they remove their panel and stop service. They still demanded that we pay them for the rest of the contract. Never again. They are a sorry company to do business with. Carl **.

They came to our door to discuss home security with us. Great price in comparison to other companies we had researched. We were told cancellation anytime was free, that we could move the system with their help anywhere, anytime, no cost. They would even make it look like the system never existed. None of that was or is true.
I have called and complained so many times about the lies their sales rep told. Never even so much as an apology for the fact that I am now stuck in this mess. I either pay off the $2,000 equipment bill to avoid termination fee with Vivint- or I pay $600 to cancel the services and still have to pay on the equipment loan. To top it off it is $150 for uninstall- and $150 to reinstall at the new home. All damage is to be repaired by you. They fix nothing. So $150 to uninstall what a quick Google search shows you to do. This is the biggest mess and lie. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Ever. Stay far away from them.

I paid for a front camera, and a doorbell camera, they told me the smart thermostat was included. The technician came and installed a stupid doorbell camera and smart thermostat and left. That is not what I paid for. I have had a bad experience since day one.

Timing was great for Mr. ** to come by. I was going to go out, get a new door and garage door camera. And it was also great to know that my other system was going to be done on the subscription. ADT was not what I wanted after I got it. So yeah happy with what I got. And the two gentleman that did the work were both very nice and very professional in their work. Thanks for a job well done.

We had ADT, ring and one camera; this was a peace of mind for our kids. And after speaking with the Rep, we hands down made the switch so fast. The reasons were just so clear and obvious. Number 1 being if we lost internet or power, we will ALWAYS have our security system on due to the backup battery and the chips built in. Number 2, the amount of security we NOW have, 2 cameras (front & back-which we never had), glass detectors if any of our windows in the back & front of the house were to break, that will now be detected, 2 smoke/carbon detectors (upstairs/downstairs), all the doors have sensors.
My favorite feature is the light under the driveway camera which follows whoever is in front of the house, & the panel itself- you can see your camera views on it, you can call your emergency contact fire, emergency, & the most IMPORTANT the duress feature if anyone was to come in you press the 4 digits and the alarm will continue as normal BUT sends the signal for help and the police will be at your doorstep. Our NEW doorbell is so slick, and the view is clear. We have a new lock which connects to the system. We used to have 3 apps to view & NOW we have 1 with everything on it and easy to use. OVERALL we now feel a lot better with our security system. 10/10.

I wish it was explained to me beforehand that the outdoor cam would require a hole drilled through a wall and that it would plug into an outlet inside. I don’t love that. Be warned when you cancel this account. Unless you take your equipment with you or give them a phone number of the new person that is buying your house you will still be billed. I just found out today that I have been paying on my canceled account for a year and three months. Only when my credit card was stolen and credit card number was changed, did I realize that it wasn’t my current account. It was my old account and they won’t reimburse me for the funds, even though they said they saw that it was canceled, but because I didn’t give them the new homeowner‘s phone! Voice on the customer service line was electronic. It wasn’t a real person. It was hard to understand them and the way they spoke you knew it was from a person that didn’t speak English well.

I am satisfied… Our 24 hour surveillance system did exactly what it was meant to do. On Christmas Eve, we experienced a car break in, by the 26th, this system was installed. 2-weeks later, there would be thieves returned, but our spotlight deterred them and the camera recorded it all. What boosted my appreciation for this purchase is because although this scene wasn’t cut out as a clip… I was able to utilize video playback and saw what occurred to show police.

It was so great working with Vivint! From the customer service experience to our installation experience with Omar, everything was excellent! Omar drove out from Killeen area 1.5hrs to install at our new home in Georgetown due to our local installation tech having an injury and sudden cancellation of our 8am appointment. The manager texted me directly and advised he would attempt to get us on track. He was able to get our installation appointment the same day in the early afternoon. Omar came to our home and was amazing! He had great recommendations and was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

After 29 years with another security company, I decided to switch to Vivint after over a month of research and conversations with multiple providers. Many companies failed to address my concerns, focusing only on sales and, in one case, ending the call without proper answers. My smoke sensors needed to be replaced because they are 12 years old. They said they could not replace them but could add new. However, two of the new sensors chirped. Tech left and they chirped all night. One over our bed. Made for a very miserable night. The head tech is scheduled to come fix them later today. Entirely avoidable.

A representative came to my house, telling me that my system was very outdated that I should upgrade it. He assured me of a particular monthly cost. He assured me there would be no auto pay. He also assured me that if I changed my mind, I had a 30 day window to do so. His information on the monthly increase to my bill was not truthful. I woke up the next morning and saw my account had been billed on auto pay and the cancellation window is three days. And of course I can’t reach anybody until Monday to speak to someone & schedule to have them come out and remove the equipment. I am very unhappy and disappointed.

Honestly it took 8 hours to do the install, Tate and his partner were outside for awhile before he even got started, he milked his time, he didn't place all cameras as we requested, he wasn't able to screw in two cameras because we still have install of wallpaper to do, so he just placed those on shelf for us. However we aren't sure why it took long for the job to get done.

It may be a five down the road but system was literally installed yesterday. Install went well. Techs were knowledgeable and helpful but unfortunately did arrive 3 hours later than scheduled. No big deal except it went later than expected. Products seem to work well but because of the late finish we had to rush the walkthrough. So I will be calling them back to get a better understanding of how to operate the system.

It’s been good so far this system. I like the ease of use with everything in one app kind of fully automated. Love the outdoor camera with the LED tracking and deter system also the doorbell camera works great. Not bad for the Monthly price and I will say that sellers need to make sure they tell you the equipment is really financed with a hardpull credit approval and not a soft check just to always be crystal clear in that information.

I was pressured into getting vivent from a SCAM that intercepted my call to Spectrum, when I only wanted to get my internet fixed. They INSISTED I accept the "free Vivint doorbell". I said no, I don't need that. I was transferred anyway. An hour of me going back and forth with the agent that wouldn't take no for an answer, even though I stated multiple times, I AM NOT COMFORTABLE, and he gets me signed up after I give up. The tech shows up. I tell him NO. I don't want this. NO THANK YOU. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE. He persuaded me to let him do it. I took it down after a month. It caused nothing but problems, and I never should have been forced to begin with. I have moved, and I am still fighting with these people. Do not get vivint.

Victor was awesome. Showed up early, asked about our needs and expectations. Explained the entire process in detail. After we approved the contract, he proceeded with the installation of all the sensors, cameras etc. He knocked it out of the park. Everything looks perfect, all of the wiring is meticulously placed. After the installation, Victor was very thorough with his demonstration on the use of the entire system. I can’t say enough good things about Victor, and his attention to detail.

This was kind of a mess all around. My first appointment was canceled because the technician had car trouble (obviously nothing you can do about that). My second was canceled because they rescheduled me for a day, but I was not available without confirming with me. When we finally got rescheduled, I told the scheduler that I needed the technician to be done by noon because I had a work meeting. I confirm this again the day before. Nonetheless, the Technician was still going at noon and was very rushed. I essentially had to kick him out of my house so that I could hop on my zoom meeting for work. He left a bunch of tools behind and I imagine I need another technician to come out and finish the installation. I don’t have much to add about the actual service or cameras yet as I don’t think they’re fully up and functioning.

Take it from me. We have been dealing with this company for almost 10 years and this company has the worst customer service ever and the worst service agreement ever. We have had nothing but issues and the system hasn’t worked in over 9 months and before that we had to constantly call and complain just to get help with the service. So they finally send someone out and he installed new cameras, says it was and upgraded cameras which were not. Looked on the box and they were old cameras from another house or something.
The ones they put up were even worse than the ones we had. Won’t stay up, always looking at the ground and we all know that we don’t monitor the rocks so then I ask the tech why they won’t stay up. He said they're supposed to look down. So then I asked him if he was going to remove the existing cameras. He says no, that he was afraid of heights so then he told me that he wasn’t able to install the cameras on the house because of height restrictions. He said that he can’t go over 7 feet on a ladder. I said so you have install cameras at houses and you can’t install anything over 6 foot ladder. He said yes. So I asked him who installed the existing cameras on my house. He stated that the company says the highest the cameras can be installed is at 6-7 feet so he put a new one on and left the old ones on my house.

I had an amazing experience with the sales department. They came to my home, were very friendly, and extremely informative. Their professionalism made the decision easy, and I felt confident moving forward with the services. Unfortunately, my experience during the installation was completely different. The installer was not friendly, did not communicate what he was doing, and left without fully completing the job. Because of this, I was unable to use my security system for the next two to three days until another technician could come out and fix what was missed.
The main issue was that he did not ensure I was able to properly arm the security system. The entire reason I purchased a security system was to feel safe—so I could arm it at night and sleep without fear of a break-in. When I tried to arm the system, it did not work because everything had not been set up correctly. I contacted customer service and waited about 45 minutes on hold before I was able to schedule a follow-up appointment, which wasn’t available for another three days. While I understand delays happen, it was disappointing not being able to use the service I had just purchased.

The sales rep was friendly and covered the material very well. Any questions we had he was able to answer. The installation tech was friendly and professional. He cleaned up after himself and showed us the system and how to work it. The system runs fine so far and we have had no problems with it. The price was very reasonable with the promotion we got.

Great service! They are very thorough with their information. They will make sure you understand everything that you need and want in home system. Spoke to three people (salesman, equipment activator, and equipment technician). They all were knowledgeable about the equipment and their usage. The system was already installed on the home I am in. It was very easy to get things fixed and operating. Only took me an 30-45 minutes.

He took the time to walk through the best placement for the cameras and ensured the sensors were perfectly calibrated. We recently moved, and canceling Vivint has been an absolute nightmare. We received 3 years of monitoring for free as part of a promo when we had solar installed. We currently pay $0 per month, yet Vivint is somehow demanding that we pay money back just to cancel. Make that make sense. Instead of honoring the terms, they’ve turned cancellation into a high-pressure sales circus—offering discount after discount to try to force us to transfer service to our new home, even after we clearly said no. The entire process involved being transferred up to five times, repeatedly disconnected, and having to explain the same situation over and over again.
This is hands down one of the most infuriating customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with. Their tactics feel deceptive, exhausting, and intentionally designed to wear you down so you give up. Because of this experience alone, I will NEVER recommend Vivint to anyone and will never use them in any future home. If you value your time, sanity, and honesty in business practices—look elsewhere.

Our contract with Vivint is financed through Fortiva; this contract was written EXPLICITLY with pay by mail, NEVER included auto pay. Both Vivint and especially Fortiva is trying to force us to do auto pay, so they send the bills late and then tack on late fees. Our credit is excellent and we DO NOT pay our bills late, we pay immediately upon receipt. Both Vivint and Fortiva are deceptive when signing the contract.

Very professional rep came out and explained everything about the services being provided. I was then given options on what other products I could add to my request. Once installed I was given clear instructions on how to use every aspect of what I was purchasing. I truly recommend them for your security needs. I would use them again and so should you.

UPDATED ON 02/15/2026: Upon selling our home on 10/22/25, I called customer support to cancel our subscription. The representative offered several options to transfer service, they were all declined. I simply wanted to cancel service. I assumed that my request was honored. After moving to our new home, my credit card was charged twice for service I did not receive. After calling them again, they finally cancelled my service 30 days after the second stop service request. Be sure to read the stop service procedures so you don't have the same problem.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very difficult to cancel contract. Called to cancel, they kept asking to reconsider, offering discounts, etc., never explained the true cancellation process. I was billed for two months of service after we moved.

I had a Vivint rep come to my house in August. My husband agreed to sign up and was told because we were a previous customer that we could cancel at any time with no problem, we never received a contract from the company and when we called to cancel we were told we owed over 1000 dollars. There app is always under maintenance, please just tell them to move on and save yourself the aggravation.

This company operates in a highly deceptive manner. Customers are locked into a five-year contract, and after a period of use, the security system (app) becomes unreliable. Live video feed access via mobile devices frequently stops functioning, preventing customers from monitoring their homes remotely. When technicians are sent to address these issues, customers are advised to contact their mobile service provider and request that their firewall be removed—an inappropriate and concerning recommendation for a home security system. Despite these ongoing failures, the company strictly enforces the contract and requires payment for future services even when the system is not functional or accessible. Canceling the account under these circumstances results in customers being charged for services that are neither provided nor usable.

Dayton was our salesperson. We were told we would pay $1.48 for the first 3 months. Jan, Feb, March. Then, $70 something for 6 months. We received a bill for $75.00 for Jan.! Dayton has not called us back. We were lied to??? We are ready to cancel! **.

Very happy so far (alarm installed yesterday). Trevor explained (almost) everything and helped us decide what we needed and what we didn't (like a $2k difference if we had ordered what we 'thought we needed). The installer was excellent. He was thorough, filled any gaps with Sales and was super helpful about placement of the camera systems.

I worked with Garrett, who was extremely supportive in my time of crisis. I had a break in the night before Christmas Eve, they took nearly everything I had of value, and I was distraught, to say the least. I was also out of town, and I knew the thieves were going to come back. I felt helpless and powerless. Garrett installed everything I would need to keep the burglars at bay, and I feel very safe and secure, and very much in control.
