    My service tech, Ronnie ** was fantastic. I was very upset with the level of customer service (or lack of service I should say) I had received from Vivint up to this point. Ronnie did an amazing job and ended up saving me as a customer. He treated me with respect and spoke to me as a person, as opposed to just a random number calling into your giant company. Had the experience he provided not been so positive, I would have cancelled my service immediately as I had originally planned to do once the troubleshooting was complete. But thanks to Ronnie, I will be keeping the service for at least 1 year. He desires a raise, bonus, and a promotion.

    Wesley showed up at the door asking if we wanted to look at their offer. We did, we bought, & it was installed a couple of hours later. Loved that. Install tech seemed very knowledgeable. The only negative thing I will say is that they forgot to put a sensor in one of three doors, which they came out the next day to fix. And I was told we would get 2 fire/CO2 alarms.

    There was a mix up and they showed only one to install, so I paid a little more (about $1) a month to have the 2nd one installed. After talking about it with Wesley, he said he only was able to account for 1 with the offer he gave, but apologized that he didn’t make it as clear as he could have. We are new with this system & so the long haul review might be different (I hope not. Lol), but the meet, offer, install, & training on how it all works went great. The cameras & the phone app are great. Controlling the thermostat using the app is great. It’s nice to have a peace of mind that a hi tech security system such as this provides.

    My entire experience with the door-to-door salesman that came to our home to sell us Vivint it was a terrible experience. His name was Nathan and he lied to us from the beginning of the transaction. We did not ever receive any paper copies or documentation as to what we were actually being paid for paying for and what was being installed. He signed us up as brand new customers when we had explain to him numerous times that we were existing customers. From there we had to open lines of credit. And we just felt bamboozled. This was a horrible experience. I would never recommend Vivint to any of my friends or family. Here we are two months later and I’m still trying to get clarification as to what we are actually paying for and why were we treated so poorly as existing customers. I am not satisfied nor happy with my service with Vivint.

    They insisted on doing a same day installation. We asked if they could do it another day. They said they wouldn't be in town. They started around 6:00 pm and he didn't get finished until 12:00 am midnight. We were tired and had to all stay awake!!! He was obviously frustrated and left his mess and debris everywhere!!! Boxes, wire and wire clippings, mess from drilling into the walls, mess of parts from the pre-existing system. He had to of trouble doing the job.

    I was given a quote from the sales guy and was led to believe it was one price, when in fact, it was a lot higher. After about an hour with me (and the installer) speaking to several representatives, we were finally able to get the right discounts applied... But even then, they couldn't get the exact amount quoted by sales in the tech's iPad. So I'm somewhat satisfied... I like the technology, but I would caution anyone getting this service to write down EVERYTHING the sales rep promises and MAKE SURE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE GETTING AT THE PRICE YOU WERE QUOTED.

    Everyone in the process were exceptionally and genuinely nice and knowledgeable. One negative issue was when I signed up I was told that night that they needed to install the products immensely which was shocking because it was after 9 pm. We started the sales process before 9 but that’s how long the transaction took. It was informative. The guy came by that night and said he would just install the panel and be back by 10.30 am the next day. He didn’t get back until after 12:30 pm the next day and it took them until 5 pm to install. They worked efficiently and cleaned up behind themselves. After looking at the patch work on my home it could have been done better. On of the holes was so wide and deep that it needed more than spackle to fix and they forgot to texture the walls when done. So far I’m getting used to the products and they work almost as expected. I am still configuring to my liking.

    I feel we need more info on using the box but I know the salesman that showed us the Vivint product for security was vey helpful and polite and they came by quickly to put in the security system telling us what he was doing as he started putting it in.

    My first complaint is that I feel the representative used the "let me show you where we install the sensors on your door" ploy in order to gain entry into my house. We stood on the porch for a good amount of time because my home was not ready to receive this very unexpected visitor. I assume that since he realized that I wasn't letting him in, he had to "show me the sensor locations." After he was in and shut the door, I did not move from the front door.

    Secondly, I asked 3 times if I could choose the date of my payment. The salesperson assured me that I could opt out of automatic payments and that nothing would be charged to my card until after the 3-day period. I really needed that to be the truth because I had an ACH payment that was scheduled to come out this morning. Lo and behold, LAST NIGHT, 2 charges equalling approximately $60 was debited from my card. Needless to say, my loan payment BOUNCED. I need to know if I was lied to or if there was not clarification. I was told we would receive our $200 gift card when the technician arrived. That did not happen. Lastly, there have been several errors on the app when attempting to access it and view videos. We like the system so far but these are quite a few quirks to have in such a short period of time. - Shavonya

I don't like that they check your credit because just because of a low score does not mean that you won't pay your bill, but other than that, we were able to get set up without issues.     The tech came to install equipments but they did not have any cameras (doorbell, indoor and outdoor). He said that they were out and more will be arriving in two weeks.     The sales and Installers have only worked about three weeks so for that much work experience they did ok. After the installation none of the windows sensors worked. It showed open on all windows even when they were closed. I went ahead and deleted them out the system and reinstalled myself. Now all ok. I had an Vivint indoor camera I wanted installed really bad but they were not able to install due to age.

    I had Vivint for years, and when I sold my home, I spoke to them on whether the system and equipment I bought should convey or if they would need to pick it up. They told me it would stay so the new buyers could use the equipment. I canceled my service at the beginning of March with an end date of March 14, my move out date. At that time, I spoke to Vivint who sent me over to the company my equipment was financed through to pay off the equipment (they don’t forgive the balance of equipment like they tell you they will!).

    I paid off my equipment, spoke to TWO different people after that about options for my new home, which came with some ADT equipment already installed. The second person I spoke to told me I would spend more money to replace what the builder had already provided so I confirmed I wouldn’t be using Vivint at my new home. The new buyers setup the equipment at my old house with a referral code I had sent them, and Vivint told me I would get a refund for them using the referral code I sent. That never came. Instead, a month and a half after I moved out, I got another month of service charged to my account.

    I called and spent another hour and a half of my life on the phone with Vivint explaining the situation and the man YELLED at me that I didn’t cancel service and told me he saw no record of my calls with them. I asked to speak to a manager three times and he said no. He told me to call back in 24 hours to see about getting a refund after I told him they had charged me AND the new buyers for the same service. I called back a couple days later and the gentleman I spoke to told me they never canceled my service because none of the other people I had talked to had sent me the cancellation form! I filled out the form and he assured me he would have my account refunded within a few days. Two weeks later, no refund and no acknowledgement of cancellation, I emailed him back to check status and here we are days later with no response. This company is shady as heck, DO NOT use them!
