Sales dude, Julian, was knowledgeable and personable. He sat with me and showed me all the options and helped save some money on the monthly bill. The tech, Ryan, was super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Overall a great experience! I was looking into expanding my Ring system anyway and Julian knocked on my door at the perfect time!

We were misled into thinking the equipment was no charge. It was conveyed to us that the equipment was at no charge. Not true. We will pay $4000 for the equipment. The salesperson should be a little more honest with that aspect,

Your salespersons should be either better educated or more honest about early cancellation fees with other security alarm companies. It would help with future sales. What is Vivint’s early cancelation policy? I may want to cancel as soon as I can.

Within 3 to 3 1/2 hours after I met the salesman on the sidewalk in front of my house the system was installed and working. Amazing. The salesman was named Burt and the installer's name was Ivan. Both were extremely polite, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I I still have a lot to learn on how to operate the system. I am a bit confused on how to operate or arm the cameras for a 24 seven monitoring, but I guess I will learn how to do that in time.
Also quoted a monthly charge of $89 a month and then being reduced to $39 a month once the system is paid off the actual per month is around $94, not a big difference, but when I computed out the cost of the equipment I was a bit shocked at home how much it was once that is paid off. For $39 a month it’s not that bad. I was disappointed that I could not use my American Express card. That cost me a lot of Sky Miles that I am now losing. Burt did promise me a $200 rebate. Let’s see if that comes about.

Elliott and Devonte were excellent, great customer service. I tried to turn on my camera, said it was offline, trying to reboot panel. If that doesn't work check camera, then something else. If it doesn't work Elliott said he was coming by today, so I will talk to him about it.

I am able to see and interact who is in my front porch. Keep a close eye on my children. Alert me if someone is near my house. Learn from the consultant that it has a panic button in case of a emergency.

Cameras keep shutting down randomly for hours and days. When I call, the support asks me to unplug the power supply and plug back in. What use are the cameras if we constantly have to do that and how are we supposed to unplug the power and plug back in if we are away from. What a useless system indeed. Deceptive company practices.

BEWARE. Two people wearing VIVINT shirts rang our doorbell at 9:33 PM. When I did not open the door they started knocking. When I opened the door to ask what they wanted, they started with an introductory spiel without indicating why they were there late at night. They only identified themselves by a first name and never mentioned the company. I closed the door and they proceeded to my next neighbor. One later returned. They appeared to be casing the neighborhood, determining who was home. I called the police who verified that they were from VIVINT and that they had a vendor's ID. The police car attracted a number of other neighbors who said that the VIVINT sales team attempted to enter their house; asked for a bottle of water; were pushy, and overly aggressive - again at 9:30PM. I do not trust VIVINT. Should I ever have damage to my property or a break in I will know who to blame.

Very professional and informative group of guys. Great work on the installation, no question went unanswered. Even with a wifi issue the technician stayed calm, cool and collected while the issue was mitigated. Vivint looks like it has a smooth installation not so many wires.

Great service activation guided by very professional and polite technician. Entire process was flawless and took just a few minutes. Very satisfied with customer service as well as the product. One of the main reasons for activation is my elderly mother residing with me. So far so good. I have only had the service for a day. The installation tech team was amazing. Clean installation on my new house. The sales person was not up-to-date on what was compatible and what wasn’t. He ended up purchasing the things I needed to make sure they were compatible. Overall I had a pleasant experience. The cameras look outstanding and accurate enough to read license plates. It was a great upgrade from Frontpoint security systems. Should’ve went with Vivint first.

To buy your system with no contract is great. Low monthly monitoring charge. Installation was fast. The installer was at my house within 15 mins. The installation process is long. They have to drill thru wall to supply power. Camera is great. Door camera is very clear on my phone. Very simple system but good design.

When we bought our house it was equipped with Vivint equipment but not the service, so vivint was able to come out and get everything going again for us. Everyone was nice from the sales manager to the tech people. Overall satisfied with how quick they were able to get everything going.

A sales rep came to my house and was really nice and seemed very knowledgeable about the business/services/products etc. Installation was pretty quick and the tech was nice and went through all that I would need to know. I was disappointed my garage door was not compatible with their device that would allow me to control it from an app. Everything else I have always wanted and it seems to work great.

Both the sales guy and the installation techs were very friendly and helpful. Everything was installed the same day as I purchased it and so far I am very happy. They both answered any questions I had and the sales rep explained everything in great detail before we even talked about a cost. The technician Christian was very professional and knowledgeable about the system. He took his time as we decided the best locations for each of the cameras and sensors. We also talked through scenarios so that we could figure out the best way to leverage the AI and innovation included with the VIVINT system. The process from purchase to installation was very fast but done very well! My sales rep and the installation team were kind and answered all of my questions and took their time explaining the new system. The installation was seamless and I am very happy with everything!

I got the alarm system installed even though I was hesitant about it. They said they would give me a 14 day trial period for the alarm system. After it was installed one of the cameras stopped working and the doorbell camera was not installed due to the product on backorder. So I called the company and asked how could I have a 14 day trial without the complete alarm system? I asked if my trial period be extended to when the complete alarm system was installed. They said no the trial period starts when it was installed. Do what the whole alarm is not installed. I told the representative on the phone. When I go to buy a vehicle they let you test drive a complete vehicle no one with 3 tires and you have to wait for the rest. Anyhow that’s all I can say about this company. Definitely not for me.

I was pleased with the install team but disliked that window sensors aren’t part of the standard package. If I knew that, I wouldn’t have gotten Vivint and would’ve went with another company. Totally disappointed. Additionally, my door cam was on back order, therefore the tech has to come back. Which means more time away from work.

Our family had an attempted break-in while we were at home! That’s all we needed to decide HOW & WHAT we should to do to keep US SAFE! Our daughter’s family had VIVINT SECURITY. We felt it was too expensive for us. One phone call and we found out a NEW VIVINT would be $1.60 more a month than our years old and outdated security system! What a shock! We have more cameras with easy viewing on our app! We can be in our car & arm our home from our app. We have better “glass break” security. Our pictures are vibrant! Easy of use! Our Installer was fantastic. Shane had an answer for all our needs! He even walked us through all of our techy set ups! He didn’t leave us to stumble through after the install! THANK YOU VIVINT... So far it's cameras are better quality and clearer. Haven't had any trouble yet. I just switched on Memorial Day. It's has not been long enough yet to see if I have any service issues. Hopefully I don't. The only thing I don't like is having to split 2 different payments instead of one transaction.

I am very disappointed in the installation of my security system. I was told that the best technician was going to install my system. The individual that installed my system ended up putting a hole in my wall that I believe was unavoidable. Three of my door sensors were installed perfectly; however the fourth one was forgotten until I said something. Then it was installed it was not done like the previous ones because “the technician does not have enough sensors.”
The hub and the doorbell camera was installed crooked. The hallway fire alert has already fallen from my ceiling; because it was installed with double sided tape instead of a drywall anchor and a screw. My doorbell camera has already lost power once since my installation on Friday May 27, 2022. And to top it all off; the thermostat and glass break sensor were not available at the time of installation. In short; I am very disappointed about how this system was installed; and I am seriously considering cancelling my contract and looking elsewhere.

I was not please with the aggression way your salesman interrupted when I was reading the contract for purchasing the equipment. He kept telling me that I didn’t need to read it. Secondly he was prompting me to say “yes” when interacting with the video questioning me about information I was told. Some of the information was in the contract I took time to read.

The technician JT assigned to my home was courteous, he explained all facets of what was to be expected. My door bell camera is broken he explained that door bell was no longer in stock. I had concerns because that was not explained to me when I called in for service. I was not in position to upgrade but I needed my camera. I asked JT if there was an anchored camera that would be capable to my system. He stated yes but he had to get permission to install it. He did and the installation and reactivating of my system was done very well.

Overall it was a good experience. The salesman was nice and informative. The installers were great very fast and helpful. The problem I had with this experience was the time. The salesman knocked on our door at 8:30 pm. That’s a little late in my opinion. We let him in and purchased. Ok, then the installer came. They were nice and fast. The problem is they didn’t leave until nearly 1 am.

Mitch came in and did an install for me in a Rancho Cordova condo unit. He checked my height and adjusted the panel to make sure I had perfect access to it, installed all the sensors really fast, helped me setup and connect my thermostat that was already installed in the home, showed me how the panel worked on the panel and on my phone, and was really pleasant to conversate with! Overall, everything went so smoothly (in a week that everything had been going wrong for me) and I will stick with Vivint until I die now simply because Mitch is an amazing human being and that made me feel confident in putting my trust into Vivint. If I move again, Vivint is most definitely my go-to for home security now!

We decided to purchase your alarm system and they brought out a tech quick. They told us it would be pretty quick and smooth. Well, the tech got here at around 6:30pm and it was well after 10pm when they left and the job was not complete. The front door camera doesn’t work and apparently there are 2 issues with the system that’s causing it to show as malfunctions on the app. We asked for the front door lock and when they got here, they didn’t have it. So now we got a system installed that’s half working and they have to come back Wednesday to finish. My 3 day trial better NOT start until these issues are resolved. The tech told me not to worry because a master technician would come with him on Wednesday. My excitement to get Vivint quickly turned into disappointment. I hope this is a decision that I don’t regret.

I just got the service 2 days ago and front camera was unavailable the following day. I called and customer service was very helpful and resolved the problem in less than 30 mins. Thank you very much. Would recommend the Vivint

We purchased a house that supposedly had Vivint as a primary supplier. We were asked if we wanted to continue the service, we discussed and decided that since we had a built in system our only issue was the month to month payment.

It was a really good experience dealing with Nic and Alec. Both young men were very polite and friendly. They seemed very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. Alec was very helpful showing us how to use everything and getting our phones set up with the system. Alec cleaned any mess that was made with his installation, leaving everything how it was when they got there. Really enjoyed the whole interaction with them both.

I had Vivint security system installed today. Justin was the technician and not only did he completed the install, but he took his time doing so. He provided exceptional customer service and provided important information, feedback and suggestions. Justin created such a great experience with this installation and was very communicative every step of the way.

Changed rating to 5 stars because they resolved my account issue. They also refunded my activation fee. The system is working great and set up was very easy. The monthly fee is reasonable and the customer service is 24/7.

I will change my rating to 5 stars but at the moment it will remain at 1 star. My account was deactivated without reason and upon reactivation, the system was still not working. I was told my activation fee would be refunded but it has not. Company is really excellent at providing instructions on equipment set up and professionalism. They do however seem disorganized.

Everyone I was in contact with including installer very friendly and patient. Answered all our questions and very clean install and placed cameras exactly where I wanted and adjusted cameras where I wanted them pointed. Very happy with the whole process.

Our sales person was very thorough in going through our wants and needs. He was able to get a technician to install our system that night. Then he came by the next day to make sure the installation went well. The technician was very knowledgeable. He methodically laid all devices out and within a few hours we were totally up and running. He showed us how to use the panel and app.

Complete liars, charge for items you say You Do Not Want. Will not allow you to make an appointment for install even when you tell them I CAN NOT DO IT NOW. I am paying $2404. for a security system that advises me my back door is open. The front door sensor does not work. At 11:00 pm I had 4 young men in my home. I wanted them OUT. I was fearful as a senior this is not right…. This company needs to be shut down. You can not cancel. They don't answer their phone and hang up on you time and time again. The WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED. Buyer BEWARE- SEND THE SALES PERSON AWAY - Once you sign up they don't care they get their $$ from Citizen One and they are done they will not give you any service. SCAM COMPANY

Cameras, panel & Arming system are great but I still haven’t ever got my doorbell and few other things I’m paying for. It has been about 3 weeks and I still haven’t heard anything about it. The home visitor told me to be patient with them. As I completely understand but also I don’t understand why I’m paying for it when I have not yet even received it.

DO NOT agree to the “Trial Period” of a Vivint Home Security System unless you are SURE you can commit! We tried it, the Sales Rep gave us a week Trial instead of the standard 3 days, and on day 6, I called Customer Care to tell them that we liked the System and it seemed like a good deal but we crunched the numbers and we were just a little concerned that taking on a new monthly bill might be biting off a little more than we could chew right now so we wanted to cancel and have them come get the equipment… The Customer Care Rep basically told me that he couldn’t acknowledge the extension on the Trial Period because it wasn’t notated by the Sales Rep and since it was past the usual 3 day Trial Period, he couldn’t initiate the cancellation and we were stuck with this System that we didn’t agree to and weren’t sure we could afford!
After a very heated rebuttal, he said he was trying to get a hold of the Sales Rep to confirm the extension of the Trial Period and someone would get back to me within 24-48 hours. I then stated to him that this could extend past the 1 week Trial that I was sold on and they better not try to use that against me in the cancellation. I then txt the Sales Rep and when he got back to me, he sent me a screenshot of him confirming to the Loyalty Department that he had in fact told me a week for the Trial Period and to cancel for me.
The next evening, day 7, I had to call Customer Care AGAIN, because NOBODY had reached out to me, and AGAIN the Support Agent tried to tell me that it was past the 3 day Trial and I had to keep the System! I tried to explain about the 1 week Trial I was promised and was then asked if I had any proof? I emailed the Agent screenshots of the txt conversation I had with the Sales Rep, confirming he had in fact given me a week, and he told me he would send that to whatever Department it needed to go to and that someone should contact me to set up a time to pick up the equipment. Day 8… NOTHING!
Evening of Day 9, I had to call Customer Care, yet AGAIN, and sat on hold for 30-45 mins while she supposedly had to try and contact the Sales Rep, AGAIN, to confirm the extension of the “Trial Period”, AGAIN! After she confirmed the extension, she proceeded to tell me that it was past the 1 week Trial Period, that I didn’t send in whatever documents needed to complete the cancellation (which they failed to mention when I contacted them on both day 6 and day 7) and that she could cancel the service… but that we were responsible for paying for all the equipment! This ENTIRE experience has been a NIGHTMARE! I hope this helps others avoid falling victim to this scam! I don’t think they had ANY intention of canceling and/or picking up the equipment if it didn’t work for us!

The guys were great and did the best they could based on the circumstances which were: it was raining, wifi connection took longer than expected and someone else has to come in to complete. System seems to be working properly. They were late arriving due to being backed up on another. But overall they did a great job

Connecting with VIVINT was one of the best decisions in my life, dependable, friendly, and ultimate service. 4k cameras, direct connections to emergency services. I feel really safe having VIVINT in control of my security service. I'd recommend VIVINT over any other security services provider. Installation went smoothly. Rep was in great contact from the start. I received text day before to confirm what he needed before he came. He even texted day of to see if he could come earlier than my scheduled time. He was very helpful and explained things clearly.
