    Happy with product, a little frustrated with the price! Much more than I was quoted on the phone, when I told him I currently had a backyard camera that was not included in the quote. I feel like too interested in just getting my business. Hope things better. The installer was great- left ADT after 27 years. He also didn’t mention I was buying and financing the equipment, just said, "We bill differently."

    I just signed up for this new alarm service. Everybody from the sales rep Chad, the installation guys and customer service were wonderful. Chad explained everything to my understanding. I was having sign in issues and the customer service rep was very patient and tried everything he could to figure out the problem. I am now able to sign in. The thing that surprised and impressed me the most was that they installed my system the same day. I can now see my whole yard. Loving the doorbell camera. Chad (sales rep) kept me updated and arrived at 9:30 pm. Love this company.

    I had ADT. Was paying $45 a month just for monitoring? A Vivint sales rep. knocked in my door, Aaron. Nice guy, very knowledgeable and informative! He stated ADT might be a little cheaper, but not better. He was correct!! I had some concerns and issues, he answered every one!!!! I was still on the fence, over thinking. So I called Vivint directly, spoke to Franklin. A really great rep. and spent sometime answering any odd question I had, put my mind at ease!!! An answer to prayer, actually!!! He professionally directed me back to Aaron to complete the process. I did. I ordered a system!!!

    The installation technician came today, a very polite and super knowledgeable young man, Jesse. Started the install with the help of another tech, I believe his supervisor? Frankie? Also very knowledgeable and nice! During the install Jesse had some system issues with the old ADT system, brainstormed it, came up with a game plan and executed it promptly!!! Without delay!!! My old system had been "updated" poorly over 15 years???? Jesse explained the issues, showed me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done to correct them. And he did, Jesse, literally is the man!! He fixed every issue, did the complete install, and overcame every hurdle and we had a few!!! This tech deserves a raise, promotion, or both!! He earned it today, a long one! I would highly recommend Vivint, especially with this team!!! System's in and I LOVE it.... I complain when I get bad service and give praise when I get good service!!! This was better than good!!!!

    This review only reflects the sales staff and company as a whole. The installer was very kind very thorough and very quick none of this has anything to do with him. We have A total of seven locations with Vivint. Every time the install and cameras have been put in perfectly with a few hiccups here and there. This last round however I feel like I’ve been swindled by a sales person into getting me to sign up for the cameras and then magically not having any in stock. So I wait over two weeks for an install and I have one camera up and running.

    I do not live at this property and it Has already been broken into once. After only seeing one camera installed I asked the technician when will I get to see the others and he said, "I only have one camera. We are back ordered and it should take roughly 30 days to get more." 30 days??? The sales person did not say anything about this. My issue with this is did I really just take the last camera that Vivint as a company whole had? Highly doubtful. What’s frustrating is even if they did have a shortage why are they selling systems and giving everybody one camera and then swindling them into a lie ultimately making people wait over a month.

    I know for a fact I did not take the only camera because I had my wife call and pretend she was a new customer and that sales person assured her that she would have a system up and running within a week how is this possible with a camera shortage? I am still waiting for a manager to call me back and hopefully make it right by ultimately giving me four cameras that I paid for outright not making me wait over 30 days

    The CSR rep lied. Vivint is doing the 5g upgrades for ADT. I did not seek out vivint and they used predatory tactics to get in my door. Customer service won't call me back.     Once the contract was signed and the 3 day grace period to cancel was over, there was no assistance with responding to our needs from the sales person. I inquired about the need for additional equipment and was told we needed an authorized installer specific to CO2 and fire detectors. After multiple attempts there was no follow through or efforts to send someone out. The original installer did not show back up as promised when he did not complete the original install (he completed installing the equipment that I purchased through Vivint but did not complete the portion of the job of connecting the previously installed door and window sensors to the Vivint system).

    We had to contact the sales person multiple times and insist on needing someone to come out and eventually the supervisor came to finish the integration. The sales person still has not responded nor sent out an installer certified to work with CO2 or fire alarms (I inquired about integrating our current CO2 and fire alarms from previous alarm company and told this could be done--the sales person previously stopped responding when we were not interested in purchasing new Vivint CO2 and fire alarms).

    The initial installer shared that they only make money off of equipment that the customer purchases new from Vivint and they do not get paid for integrating equipment that a customer already has installed in their home. This company is willing to help only if you're willing to spend but does not put ANY emphasis on customer service on jobs that don't generate them money.

    I’m overall satisfied with the equipment and the installation. What I am not happy with is the misleading info I was told by two different salespeople at Vivint. After I made the order I got a email with my equipment list. I did not see a “Outdoor Camera” listed on that list. Even after I made it clear to the first salesperson that I wanted one along with a doorbell camera. I made another call to Vivint to confirm that the outdoor camera was included in my “Starter Pack.” They assured me that it was included and that I will be receiving an outdoor camera along with all of the other equipment I ordered.

    Fast forward to the next day. The Vivint installer showed up, showed me the list and I asked about the outdoor camera again. He informed me that it was not included in the work order, and that I will be charged $400 for the camera if I wanted it today. It increased my monthly bill by nearly $20. I was upset and felt like I was deceived. Not a very good first impression at all. I’m giving two stars because my installer was very professional and knowledgeable.

    3 days in after moving to Vivint my doorbell camera goes out. I call the customer service and they walk me through the troubleshooting. Since I don’t have the equipment they need to do the troubleshooting they can’t send a tech over to get it fixed untill July 18th. They won’t come fix the service unless they have the a replacement in which the camera is on back order. No happy with the equipment or customer service help.

    I am extremely happy with install. There were 3 negatives that had nothing to do with the install. First is I will have to purchase a new thermostat to work with new system. Second is they don’t have support for the MyQ garage door opener. Third is they do not have any kind of smart switches for lighting that is supported. These are all downsides compared to my previous system. They do have really good cameras and features. Just the 3 downsides really retracts. I am getting a new thermostat installed to where I can control it from the app. They say the MyQ is coming soon. According to the install person they are working on smart switches. Once this is all done it will return my house to being a smart house. I also would like to incorporate my Alexa in this but have not gotten to that yet. Overall good system just lacking some features that my old system had.

    Overall very pleased with the system. I was able to get same day installation and it only took 2 hours to set up. My only issue is that the Google Nest thermostat is unable to connect to the Vivint control panel. They said with an eventual app update that issue should be resolved, but for now I have to use two separate apps to control the thermostat and Vivint system individually.

    While I okay with the sale side of it, the installation was a little different. The installer did not install the way it discussed with sales. Additionally, the installer did not clean up after himself, I'm still finding plastic wire covering all over my house and yard. Then the first installer decided to take his own liberties and make changes to the installation. I had to have someone else come back and perilously install certain things. I was told that system would interact with the MyQ garage door system and it would be on the app. However to this day, they are still different apps. All of the doors have the new locks on them, great, and they work great, but now the door handle and the dead bolt locks are two different keys. When I asked about them rekeying the door handles to be the same as the lock, they said they could not do that, I am relatively certain that this can be done. Cameras were supposed to be installed under the eaves, but were installed outside of them.
