These people try to trick you into signing a contract..like they did me and then when I realized what I done it took me 2 hrs to get someone on phone after being switched from department and hung up on. DON'T FALL.

I liked the features of their home security… 4k video, the camera uses infrared to see at night, panel you can talk to someone as well as on your phone, very user friendly panel to add people, create new password etc…

The Service arrived on time. It was accurate and fast, with minimum disruption. The technician was properly dress and courteous, and knowledgeable. He gave clear instructions on the setup of the system and application. He indicated what to do if an emergency arises. He also did a clean job and left site clean.

A few modifications had to be made to the account info l, as well as the equipment package during installation. Both the salesman and the technician were very courteous and professional. I am happy with the product and the service it provides. I was surprised with the speed and efficiency of the installation, but felt rushed to make a decision to commit. Overall, I would recommend Vivint to a friend, but warn them that there is pressure to buy.

Was waiting for the time VIVINT came by, but I was also in the middle of my landscaping project. We talked and I worked, discussing everything needed to get the system! He admitted to never trying to sell during a landscaping project, but allowed me to use my time as well as be productive in his. A quite personable salesman with piano skills to sweeten the deal as we took refuge from the heat. Best sales experience ever! I enjoyed his time with us and was able to finish my work at the same time.

The field rep Nick was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. We were amazed with the quality of the cameras and how easy it is to navigate. I am still waiting for a camera to be installed above the garage after I bought the system. They withdrew money from my account quickly and my credit was obviously dinged. It will now be 2 weeks tomorrow since they installed part of the system. They had techs working on Monday July 4th! They were doing their best to close deals. Considering that Vivint should have easily been able to schedule a tech when I was home within the next few days! In retrospect it can clearly be seen that the sale was most important. I guess that is my bad to have expected better service. I am locked in now. I am sure the security system is a quality product. The customer service however is definitely lacking!

Stellar customer service from my sales rep Jordan to our tech Reno. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful and flexible. Much better service and pricing than our previous provider, ADT. They provided equipment and technology ADT did not even offer me. Service is slightly more expensive but that’s the price you pay for value and quality.

It would be nice if there was a chime or key pad to mount in master bedroom so you can hear if doors or windows open at night. The security system is great and easy to use. The install was quick and the system is very user friendly. I would recommend this to everyone.

Took two items off upon installation not sure if or how much that took off price of items overall. Love apps on phone, speed of install, quality of devices, my only complaint is not feeling certain of price overall of items. Know what agreed to in first place for cost of items which honestly felt is somewhat high but they do seem quality. Having sense of more security of home is something I have wanted for long time & I feel good for going with Vivint. I curious about if front & back door security lights could be added to system as well have old natural gas pole light in front yard never used by me thought would be awesome if could be replaced with smart pole light connected to system things thought about after all had done. Very impressed by tech doing install.

I have to say, both the salesman and the technician did a great job with their work, and I'm very happy with my products. However, the only issue I did have was that the price couldn't be discussed until I was basically signed up for good, but it wasn't a life-changing amount, so it ended up being alright. Overall, despite waiting until the end to know what I was gonna be paying, I'm very satisfied with the service and products and the price of them.

Kevin was very professional and very informative on the information given. We truly were looking for cameras for our house, but hadn’t made the jump to do it. We aren’t usual lovers or door to door salespeople, but Kevin did it in a non-overbearing way. You can tell he knows his stuff. We had the devices installed literally minutes after we decided to go with Vivint by Sebastian. He was professional and funny! He did a great job and informed us of all the ways to use and customize our new security system. So far we are very happy. The pictures are clear and fast! Hopefully never have to use them for real security measures. But feel safe that if necessary they are in place. We have been Ring users for a year and very happy we switched. Salesperson was great! Technician was knowledgeable. The technician/ installer tracked up my floor with dirt. He did not take off his shoes. Other than that the service was awesome. The installer Michael ** was extremely competent and worked from start to finish without stop. Was very knowledgeable with every aspect of the installation and the equipment installed. He was great at explaining all of the steps to use the system. We just moved into this residence and have been waiting over a week for our internet to be turned on. CenturyLink is terrible but Vivint is great service!

David ** was not upfront about doing a credit check. He asked for my last four and submitted before telling me he was checking my credit. When I realized what he was doing I told him that my score was low (in the 600s) and my wife’s was high (in the 800s) so we would get a better rate if we ran hers. He told me not to worry and I would get a good deal. I asked what the best percentage rate was but he refused to tell me until my number returned. I got 9.99% and he told me this was the best possible rate you offer right now. I did not know at the time, but I checked on your website and rates start at 0%. My wife's score would have certainly qualified for this but now I have a loan at 9.99%. David is essentially stealing money from me by lying about the rates and convincing me the one I got was a good deal.
I was also lied to about the total cost of equipment. David billed me $4,000 for equipment. I later went on to your website and added everything up. The total value of my equipment through your site is $2,742. Your company is stealing money from me by charging more than the value of the equipment. I am very unhappy and would like someone to call me and fix this ASAP!

The installation of my outside camera was a great experience. The installer Jonathan was kind. Very knowledgeable about the product. He had everything up and running quickly and smoothly. Quinn ** was very nice and helpful when choosing the right security system for our needs. The process was very easy and monthly price was even better. Installation was done same day after around 25-30min after we signed paperwork. Installation was quick and everything works perfect! I feel safer at home knowing my husband that works out of town also knows what’s going on at our home.

Greetings. I am a new home owner and I was very excited about leaving Xfinity and coming to Vivint as a new customer. However, my initial day of installation was a complete mess. The promotion in which I started the services on was not properly setup on my account. The technician who was very nice however could not setup my camera due to inexperience with camera installations. So I waited all day for him to get here and only to be able to install just the basic alarm system which is not what was arranged.
After he was only able to do only that I never receive any notification of when the installation would be complete. And my account was charged for devices I do not have in my possession and when I set everything up to be applied to the Citizens Pay One of credit as I was instructed to do so before installation day. So my birthday weekend has been stalled because over $2,000 was taken out of my account on a Friday when funds cannot be immediately refunded. Also, not having the system for a full 2 days my motion detector is not properly working and has fallen from its spot removing fresh new paint and my water systems continue to disconnect. This has been a huge inconvenience and let down to the start of this business relationship.

Good initial meeting. Installer had personal calls and was 15 mins late. Installation took 2 plus hours due “bad” door camera. The system seems to work very well, and the camera scans a large area with good resolution. The control panel is simple to use.

Our sales rep was amazing! He was very informative and helpful. But our installation rep was awful. She brought her sick dog and he pooped and vomited all over our backyard. She said she would pick up after him but she didn’t. She also smelled and her hair looked like she hadn’t brushed it or washed it in days. She also drilled a hole thru our window panel, she could have done it on the side so that it could be hidden. That was a terrible experience.

The salesman, Eric **, was very knowledgeable about the product, very personable and didn’t treat our dumb questions as being dumb and listened to our financial concerns and didn’t push us to get more than we wanted. Windows and doors are not connected to panel so Alarm is worthless right now. Alarm does not go off and alarm was never connected. My old panel was canceled when my son called so basically new panel and cameras and no service- shouldn’t have to pay for it.

One star is due to the professionalism and courtesy of the Technician assigned to the job. The Extortion Tactics used by sales people, which is obvious includes everyone else, is disgusting and I will gladly share with friends and family that may want to try Vivint! The False Claims by Salespeople is also a problem in that the features they say are included in the monthly plan for Security and notifications, aren’t even in the house as they state! They did not come back that afternoon and turn the equipment on about three cameras. Several sensors and they loaded the program on my cell phone. The telephone numbers The salesman gave me was to their main office, the main office couldn’t help me get a technician to my home until three days later. I told him that I was having surgery the next day and then I would need The outside cameras for surveillance and the speakers to find out who was at the door. I have all the equipment set up in the house but none of it works. I do not feel like they take my needs seriously.

Vivint hires the most unprofessional techs. The tech guys are so unprofessional. I just experienced a tech walk off the job without giving a reason. I asked to speak with his manager, he said, ”You call him, I’m leaving!” The experience today began very badly. Tech texted and stated he would be there at 9:30am!! He showed up to my home at 9:41 and took a personal call until 10:06am! If Phil (ID **) my account manager wasn’t just a great guy, I would’ve sunk this entire deal last week. You guys need to make this right.

Purchase was simple and explained well, however, the installation didn't go as planned. I explained to the salesperson that there was no existing doorbell wire for the Vivant doorbell to be installed. She explained that this wouldn't be a problem to run a new wire in the wall with the Vivant doorbell being installed next to the front door. When it came time to install, the tech indicated the only option was to run an external wire into the house, zip tied to the baseboard, into the dining room to the nearest electrical outlet. When I indicated that I didn't want an external wire, the tech said I would have to contact an electrician and have an additional outlet installed (at my expense) in order to avoid the external wire running to the outlet. This left me feeling somewhat misled by the salesperson as the external wire was never discussed.

Annabella was very friendly. I immediately told her I already have security and she said, "Well that's why I'm here to see if I can bring you over to Vivint." She had no idea I had regrets and frustrations about my Xfinity alarm. LOL. So I let her in and we talked about what Vivint has to offer and chatted a bit about other things. The technicians were here immediately and started the install. They were very polite and explained any questions that I had. I am so happy that I decided to switch. I have more in my package and a more reliable alarm company now. I have met several of your sales people and I have to say you guys do a great job picking these guys. Not even 12 hours into having the service and my motion sensors went off twice, I was called and asked if I wanted law enforcement sent out. I didn’t know what was going on so I had to leave work to go check on my house. They didn’t seem to concerned about protecting my house.

When getting our equipment installed, the technician completed 80% of the installation and informed us he would return the next day at a certain timeframe. He failed to arrive at the time he told us. He gave us another timeframe and failed to show up again. Terrible start with this business.

New system installed today, doorbell camera, door sensors, smart lock, cameras, smoke/carbon monoxide detector. Workers were very courteous and explained thoroughly how to use system and navigate the control pad. Installation took less time than expected and the wiring was installed smoothly along the trim.

Sales rep promised a lot. Tech came to install and everything went wrong from there. He left with everything working, but when we woke up 2 cameras not working and can’t get them reconnected. Cameras had to be moved from one panel to another. We’re not told we would have wires running along baseboards. We have a T mobile hot spot for WiFi and we’re told it would be ok. Well it’s not. Trying to hook up an extender right now but we will see if the system work when we’re done. Right now we’re thinking about canceling the whole thing.

The sales representative came to my home sold the system, the technician arrived to install the system. I was very excited about the new system, hoy, the technician did not seem to be mindful of the customer, the customers requests or feelings. I recommend better customer service skills, especially, if you are a new customer.

The installed equipment works great and the salesman and install technician were both very nice people, but the install technician left messes all over the house. He left dust and insulation from the attic all over the clothes and floor in our closet and all over our new furniture. Would still recommend the company for the technology and services they offer but be prepared to have to clean up after the technicians install.

Well, Dam so frustrated with this service that I would like to cancel and get a full refund. I have called several times and another technician even came out since he happened to just be in the area. He couldn't figure out what was wrong. I just want to be done with this deal and move forward. I continue to pay for a service that I am not getting. I would like a full refund. Unfortunately I have been ignored so much that I am considering going to the BBB about the situation and maybe they can help me. To me I would think if a company installed equipment in a certain area, they would have a service technician at least 5 days a week. The aggressive Vivint salesman who nonstop talked his way into my home after being told we were on our way out the door, made me feel manipulated, lied to, and unheard. He didn’t earn his commission so much as ignored me and my partner’s repeated requests to delay his visit. I am still considering cancelling because I feel like we were pushed to sign up on the spot and that the only way he was leaving my home was with a contract or by force.
Rethink your sales strategy. It’s manipulative and stressful when a man will not take REPEATED NOs for an answer. He told me what I wanted to hear, but I know his answers to my questions about digital privacy were half-true at best. We needed a home security system and had considered Vivint, but weren’t quite ready to sign up. His visit has left a very bad impression of the company, to the point I feel I should warn my neighbors and friends. The install team was much more pleasant and honest. Give them the commission.

While VIVINT may have good products and equipment, the credit company that they are associated with is garbage! The salesperson stated that they were going to run a "soft" pull (which there is no such thing with credit) with the company FORTIVA. My credit was pulled on June 27 to be able to sign up with VIVINT, for a credit line of $4K. June 27, as my credit was pulled, it of course lowered my score (no problem). The issues, my credit was pulled "again" on July 7 by FORTIVA? WHY? My bill is not due until August 2 and I'm not late on any payments, as this is a new contract/loan. On July 7 my credit was lowered by over 86 points!!!
I immediately contacted VIVINT and my salesperson. My first complaint to them, there were 2 pieces of equipment that weren't able to be installed. I was told by the salesperson, as well as the installer, I would receive a credit of $400. Sounds good! But then I'm being told that my loan was over $4K??? Now I'm being told that the $400 was credited and from the original loan before the credit, it showed $3901. So was I approved for $4K or a higher amount? If I was given a credit of $400 the new loan should read $3501.
Next I tried calling FORTIVA about running my credit TWICE and lowering my score over 86 points on July 7. Getting no response or help. I even contracted the 3 credit bureaus and was told that FORTIVA has to contact the 3 credit agencies to make this correction. Still nothing has been corrected from FORTIVA or VIVINT. Word to the wise, DO NOT ALLOW them to do any soft pulls or anything to your credit, or this will be your outcome = NOTHING DONE as stated from anyone!!! Be aware.

I don’t usually talk to solicitors, but after a few minutes, realized Vivint Security System can provide the security I’m looking for at a reasonable price. The system was installed the same night and I’m impressed with how easy and convenient it is to use. Overall good service; however, there was no post install cleanup. Empty equipment boxes left behind, outside debris tracked throughout the house, moved items/furnishings not put back in place, borrowed equipment (ladder) not put back etc. Additionally, no security signage was left, which was part of the security package.

The tech was speeding through the explanation. I still don't know how to fully operate my house system. I felt like it was a quick setup with no explanation of service. I’m afraid to arm house because I’m not sure of what I’m doing.

I received excellent, polite, and informative sales assistance from Hank ** (Tucson, AZ). He has been helpful throughout the entire process. Installation went well. I believe it is a company design flaw to put your installation techs in an antagonistic/competition position to your sales reps. The installation tech should not be critical of the sales associate or encourage referrals to himself for future sales, asserting that he can give better discounts than the sales rep. To be sure, our installation techs were excellent at installation and very helpful at teaching us how to use the system (as did the sales rep who had already helped us download the Vivint app). Any referrals I make for sales will be to the no-pressure sales rep I began with.

I was with ADT before I was approached today by Vivint. The rep explain the superior product (4k resolution, no lag between feed, continues recording, etc.) and asked about my experience with ADT. The whole process was rather long (57 minutes from initial meeting to him leaving) but once I agreed to move forward they had a technician at my house within 20 minutes. Install was quick (40-50 minutes) and the technician walked me through my new system. Overall, I’m satisfied with the care, products, and price.

I have had cameras go "Off-Line". I set alarm away &, when I returned home, my alarm system had already been shut OFF. Now, my inside camera alarms regularly & none of my cameras are recording at all. I feel like I am being imprisoned instead of being guarded by your security system!!!

Guzman, Hunter and Scouter were AMAZING! Very informative and POLITE! I love their personalities, I definitely didn’t feel like there were strangers in my house. Overall I am simply satisfied! From salesman (Cole) to installer, experience was great. Feel much safer now. Very knowledgeable and clean. Very happy to get away from Alder and their inferior service and outdated soft and hardware. Like having peace of mind my entire property is under surveillance.

Went really good and was able to set us up on a great new system that will help protect us from future break ins. Ahkeem did really well and was a great guy to work with, he was really understanding and knew what we wanted.

Our technician, Matt, was very patient and thorough with us. We changed a few things around and added. He was great to work with and would definitely recommend him to to our friends. The equipment was modern and picture was not grainy. Good quality.

The technicians were very courteous. What are the technicians with still in training but did a very good job. They were fast and informative. Did not leave until I knew how to work the system completely. Overall it was a very good experience. Thank you for helping us feel safer.

Gabe and Ethan were very personable and knowledgeable. They explained what they were doing and answered any questions I had. The entire experience from introduction to the last signature after installation was less than two hours. I would feel comfortable recommending Vivint to anyone.

Long story short: Sales rep had our wrong name and address in system, Tech tried to fix it, Had to redo entire finance process, Another sales rep got involved, Took 5 hours to get it fixed, Techs finished soon after. Too early to recommend Vivint.
