    I was told when signing up that I could cancel the service at anytime, that they would come get the cameras, and refund me my money. I was lied to about what I was being charged for. They waited to process the refund until after the “30 days”, refused to notate that I wanted to cancel everything and now I’m stuck paying an outrageous amount for cameras that literally have the worst quality possible. You can’t go back and watch 24/7 footage like they say cause it takes 5 years for the footage to even load. Everything about this company and their cameras is worthless trash.

    We had been looking for a security system and then this came along at the right time. This is certainly more expensive than Ring. * Be sure to clarify the price before you get hooked in. Some great features that we really liked -like the whistle with the spotlight. Also the smoke detectors that will call in if there is a fire or heat or CO issue, even if it is freezing. Some great options to customize the arm and disarm. Overall I am happy. And glad we have it in place.

    I’m not one to leave reviews, but in this case it needs to be said. I had an alarm system already and was not satisfied with it but I still didn’t want a new one. I had one initial with Vivint and it didn’t go great so I said no. Then they had a follow up person come and by the grace he was a great salesperson!     Work with the salesperson went great and the installer was very polite and respectful, however care should be taken when finishing the job. The area that the install took place was destroyed with drywall, wood, and stone left on the floor/ground below the installation areas. Also the tool belt the installer was wearing caused his hammer and tools to bounce off the walls cause rubber marks in multiple areas. It was noted by my wife that "he was a bull in a China shop" everything cleaned up with sweeping and vacuuming, and water and rag for the wall. But it should be noted.

    I had been with Vivint for almost 8 years never have any problems. Till 2 months ago some Vivint salesman come ringing my Vivint doorbell and offer me an upgrade. Well since I was happy with my experience I was, "Why not, let's do it." By the next day after the new installation, I realized that for me was an upgrade I was a downgrade, my old equipment was able to rewind 24 - 7 for more them 90 days. This new one only show live and record very short clip. So I call customer service to ask questions, my new bill was going to be $80 more than my old bill and I couldn't do a rewind. For me to do this I need to purchase more equipment, I was well I had 3 days to cancel if not happy, will this was my case.

    I did ask for cancelation and ask to have my old equipment reinstalled. I was very happy but a week later my playback stop working. I have been on the phone for days and more than 3 hours every day trying to get my system. 3 technician was sent to fix the problem but didn't work so I was not happy and ask to cancel my services but I was inform that I have a contract for another 5 yrs. I cancel the next day and got my old equipment. Here is been 2 months and still trying to get my system to work or have this. The new contract cancels the next day not even 24 hours after. Vivint refused to cancel a new contract that I cancel before 3 days as stated on the contract. And trying to make me pay 5 more years With my old equipment and not working.

They also told me I had a free trial period no obligation for somewhere between 3 days and 2 weeks. I'm not sure because he just kept promising us stuff to keep the deal going. I know have a hard inquiry on my credit score for a trial period. AND I couldn’t even get a hold of an actual person until the following week. Vivint apparently doesn’t have people to answer your calls on the weekend but they are a security company?

    I can't help but be fair and accurate. The technicians that I had were a great team together. From the sales rep to the installers. Which started as one and then came two more. The sales rep arrived first - presented the Vivint products - and after agreeing to sign up - I received an immediate installation date and time - which was the same night. I really didn't want to have the technician(s) do any work on this night. I wasn't feeling well and was very tired, I wanted to call it for the night. Reluctantly, I agreed. Mainly because I didn't want to pay the installation fee, if my date of install had to change.

    The first technician arrived within 30 minutes after my presentation. A female arrived, I thought very impressive. After asking me location questions for the equipment placement, putting on her working tool belt, she proceeded to get started with the installation. Within another hour, two more technicians arrived. She asked and gave instructions for equipment placement to get the installation done accurately and efficiently and as soon as possible. They knew I wasn't feeling well. I would say well done. They were out by midnight. And I couldn't wait to go to bed. Suggestion: I feel the sales rep should be more upfront with the time length to a customer, especially after giving a quick (ie. 15 min) overview of the products. If a customer is interested, they will sit thru a longer presentation. For me it was 1.5 hours barring some short stops. Because I have small children to attend to.

    The people I spoke with on the phone were great. The installer was nice. There was a lack of communication from my phone call till the install. I never got a confirmation email. So the installer did not know everything I had discussed with phone order. Not his fault. Installer was nice but he ran into multiple issues and I have a wire running up my wall. It looks tacky. Not impressed with the quality of my install. Wires can be seen everywhere. Installer was very nice person. But I would not let him install in my house again. The over the phone support was good. They did a lot to try to make it right. But I still have exposed wires running down my interior walls and exterior walls. Not a clean install.
