Shawn aka Anthony did an amazing job with explaining to me how to use the system. The process was simple and definitely glad Shawn did a thorough install. My wife and kids will sleep and leave and stay at our home a lot more comfortable from now on. We definitely love the Vivint Smart Home and security systems! The gentleman that came to install my system was super respectful, very informative and very fast. He was awesome. He taught me how to set up my system on my phone and taught me all the different settings on the panel.

We had a new system added today. There are many nice features and the tech who did our installation was great! There are so many great features to this system that are easy to use on mobile app or on the board. Everything is wireless so installation was a breeze.

I am very pleased with the quality of the product and its ease of use. I also had a wonderful installation experience. Overall I am totally satisfied. There is a wide variety of security items. I was able to choose all of the various security devices that are needed for my home.

Tim did a awesome job installing the equipment. I had door sensors, window sensors, interior cameras, nest thermostats, and a garage door opener sensor installed. Tim explained how each one functions and what to do if there is a issue. I’m now fully protected and it gives me a great sense of calm.

The people who came to install were great. It only took about 3 hours to install everything’s be they made sure I understood how everything worked before they left. I had some questions on costs and the Vivint agent helped me understand everything. Highly recommend.

Install was very quick and clean. Device looks like it belongs in home. Very easy to learn system and to operate. Installer did an amazing job placing the monitors so that they were almost invisible, which was my major concern.

Mario was not transparent about the process. He promised no charges until January and the day after he left I had two charges for over $100. The system and equipment is great. I loathe dishonest sales people. He could have retained the sale without cancellation had he been forthcoming.

The experience was great. I got exactly what I was looking for in regards to security. The bonus was that I was able to integrate my other smart devices into the system. I can now control many parts of my home from my phone. It’s great.

Installer was on time and finished the job in great time. Troy was very thorough in explaining the system. Vivint system was also user friendly. I plan to use Vivint in the future for other installs. I truly recommend the company but Troy really made the process seamless.

I honestly had a very positive experience with my Vivint system. The installation was no issue. The serviceman was very professional and knowledgeable. At first I did not want to change our system, but now I am glad I did. The technology is very easy to access and use.

Services were awesome, best prices in town. But GianCarlo was the best pro tech someone could ever had. He left no mess, great communication, attention to detail and very friendly and informative. All of my email reminders stated the activation appt will last approximately 30 minutes. It took over 2 hours! I was informed in the emails that it would be a phone appt. To me, that meant someone would call me. I had no idea it was done through texting back and forth. It was so confusing! I had questions and had to wait for a text response. One text I received stated he was on a call and would respond when he’s done. What! I thought we had an appt! Why make an appt if he is still busy doing other things and I don’t have his undivided attention?
Once I waited over 20 minutes for a response. I texted him asking if someone could come to my house to set it up. He didn’t even respond to that question. Toward the end of our appt, he finally called me. However, he couldn’t figure it out and needed customer service to come on the line. I thought he was customer service! Anyway, after more than two hours, the system is activated. But my experience with the activation was extremely unprofessional.

We are at peace now when we chose to have Vivint as our security system. We could see someone at our front yard and alerts us when the doors are open. Technician named clay was so kind. He explained to me all in how the equipment works. All the features. He never gets tired answering all my questions and explain it to me thoroughly. The agent Stephanie gives me all the possible options 'cause at first I am really skeptical in getting the equipment. The lifetime warranty of the device is the one that makes me decide to get Vivint as our security system.

Salesman said camera needs to buffer. 2 tvs and 2 phones on wifi. Download speed 300mgps camera can’t even show the plates on the car in the drive way. Only recommend if you want terrible camera quality but records.

Took time to understand our family situation to get us the equipment that would be most beneficial, and didn't try to talk us into stuff we had no use for. Took time to map house layout to find best equipment placement, and make sure everything was installed and working properly. Once finished with installation, took time to make sure we were comfortable using interface/equipment, before just saying, "Well my job's done. See you later."

I decided to change phone services from ATT to Verizon because I'm getting married and wanted to get a line with my new wife on her service. I had an i-phone 8+ and was happy with the phone. I was told by the Verizon salesperson I would need to get my phone un-locked so they could set it up with one of their sims and switch me to Verizon. When I went to the local ATT store I was told no problem. It would be done within 48 hours. 48 hours went by and still no phone. I am 65 taking care of an elderly brother now with no phone service. So I went back to the ATT store and asked why my phone was still not unlocked, This time I'm told I still owe money on my phone and it can't be un-locked till I pay the bill. Two days ago I was told I was good to go. I told them that's fine. I'll pay what I owe on the phone.
Now I'm told I can't pay the bill until it comes in the mail which may be as long as three weeks. Are you kidding me! No phone for three weeks? I'm a Veteran and I'm waiting for a call on a hip surgery as well as staying in contact with my elderly brother who needs a lot of assistance. Their response is sorry sir. So I go back to Verizon. They tell me they can't do anything with the i phone 8+ until it's un-locked. My only option, unless I want to wait the 3 weeks, was to buy a new phone which set me back $800.00. Bad advice and bad sevice from ATT cost me. And now I have to pay off the iphone 8 with ATT on top of it to add insult to injury.

We were very happy with the employee who came to our home and installed the alarm system. We were very unhappy with our other company. Their employees didn’t get back with us and their equipment had stopped functioning since April.

We scheduled our installation for our alarm system to be from 8am - 12pm, but the initial tech that was coming never showed up. When I called customer service to ask what’s going on, they couldn’t reach the tech and also told me my timeframe changed to 12pm - 4pm. I don’t live at the property we were getting the installation for, so it would’ve been greatly appreciated if the installation was either on time, or the change was communicated to me sooner so I wouldn’t have had to rush in the morning or could have run some errands while I was waiting. I was then told the tech would arrive at 1pm, and at 1pm, the tech finally called me and told me he was near (about 15-20 minutes away).
I waited 45 more minutes and a different tech called me and told me he was arriving in 30 minutes. I was honestly very frustrated at that point, so I called customer service again, and they were incredibly kind and understanding of my situation. They compensated me for my time and assured me that the new tech would arrive on time, which he did. The new tech did a fantastic job and also called in a coworker to help speed up the installation. They were very professional and informative throughout the whole process. The excellent customer service and installation made up for the scheduling mess.

The tech was very friendly and helpful. Took extra time and was patient while I was trying to get my Internet up. Only issue is, Vivint uses one device preferring 5ghz connection for wireless connection and another only capable of 2.4ghz. To get everything working I had to reconfigure my Internet to 2.4ghz and use direct wiring for the hub. Some routers are capable of both so I will just have to upgrade my router.

If it wasn’t for the technician you would have lost a customer. Then I would have filed numerous of complaints filed with corporate or anyone else that would listen. I was provided false info so when the tech came and provide other info (with proof he was telling the truth) I became upset. Thanks to the tech’s professionalism, knowledge and personality I was willing to stay and figure out what service I had. He deserves a promotion, bonus something. There’s no telling how many customers he has saved this company. I’m so pleased with his work (installation) as well. Thank you, Sir!

I've been wanting to switch alarm companies for at least 3 years and finally the day came to switch! I had been interested in Vivint for a while and they came by yesterday and we got started on the system. Today they came by where I signed up, am getting my current contract bought out and everything was installed. Both the rep and tech were very polite and explained everything in detail for me. I'm so excited for my new system!

When the installing technician showed up, there was a hiccup with equipment/agreements. He quickly called Vivint personnel and helped me work it out the hiccup. My installation technician was amazing. He was kind, patient, and thorough with my installation. Sales rep left many things out mainly I needed a other application, may pay interest on equip for 5 years, told me had 30 day money back..Spent days on phone with Vivint and citizens made down pymt but 5 different people had 5 different explanations where deposit was. Citizens needed 3 weeks before can tell you anything..Installer did not give me what I paid for, also broke my treadmill and did not say a word..Indoor camera DO NOT WORK AT NIGHT. Sales rep lied about that..
When installer came back 2nd time to install items from first install he left my indoor camera returning on my front porch outside. Made 5 calls. Of course they cannot reach him. Yet I bought outdoor camera..Great installer Ken. He actually showed me how everything worked. Damage dept requested he take video my damaged treadmill. Well it over a week later they still do not have his video. Again call back. $500 damage keep getting blown off.
I will say sensors work ..pad works but would be better if you have internet. Have had package stolen off front door with system. How is that possible?? So 2 weeks in still don't know how much I owe from citizens. Still waiting on my return camera $200 to be credited and them to put my info on their system..Waiting on damage dept..Waiting on what my monthly pymt will be with my change in cameras.
Sorry this company does not have internet office communications half people in Utah. They don't talk to people in Arizona. Had Mt sales rep not lied about 30 day money back guarantee..It's was 72 hours. I've had to appeal this. Also I'd have given everything back!! But now in order to make system effective will now need to get home internet and all equipment required which I was told was NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS SYSTEM. Save your money and a huge headache. Go with AAA OR ADT. Seems I'll be more hours on phone trying to get damage paid for and the correct balance owed from Vivint and Citizens.

Really like the cameras. Still getting to know the app and how everything works with the system. Only reason I gave a 4 star rating is I wasn't made aware that the Response Services (911, etc.) had to be paid upfront first to activate the system. Otherwise, we like the system.

I called looking for cameras for our home. Spoke with a sales guy who did listen, gave me my options and scheduled a tech to come out and go over the installation process. He also explained the cost to obtain what I wanted so there were no issues later. The tech came out, we talked about how the installation would be done and what limitations there were. So I asked when was the next available date for the install. The tech looked confused, because the sales guy had scheduled me for an installation instead of a consult. Never mind the next available date, do it now I said.
The guys were quick, clean and explained the security system, took payment and they were gone. The only two issue I have is the sales guy failed to mention free installation and another promotion Vivint had at the time I called for service. Needless to say I did not get any promotional items from vivint. The second issue is my cameras are starting to miss events that should have been recorded. Yes, it's obvious to me.

Not happy at all when I called to set up service the customer service rep gave the options and did the SOFT credit check to confirm we could use the financing. We then got to the visit with the tech and he didn't have all the equipment needed to install everything and it's been over 2 weeks and he is yet to be back to install the remaining items. He also was not able to tell me that they would be taking 3000$ out of my account when he was done because he said he didn't know what the final bill would be and didn't say the financing was no longer an option.
I contacted the customer service rep that I talked to initially and he said he would look into it but I NEVER heard back from him on it and they never disclosed they would be charging the full amount. I am very unhappy with this method of how you do business and plan to tell everyone I know to stay away from VIVINT because it's horrible!! And they do not disclose what they will be charging you and take accountability to own it before doing the install to clearly notify customers what they will be charged!!!

Wednesday received a quote from Scott who is very knowledgeable and courteous and got us set up for installation on Thursday. The very next day! I cancelled and paid off my equipment contract and remaining fees for discontinuing my alarm service with Vivint. I moved to Dallas Texas in December of 2021 and sold my Oro Valley AZ house in February 2022. Vivint restarted monthly payments in the February timeframe without my authorization (or Reasoning), at which point I contacted them and had my bank stop the payments. I did not own any Vivint equipment or Services and notified them that these were fraudulent charges with no services being rendered. I have spoken with Vivint multiple times and they continually state "We cannot find your account therefore, we don't know how you are receiving a bill."
This confused and frustrated me even more due to the lack of contract integrity. I notified them that there is a new owner at the ** North Silver Cassia Place, Oro Valley AZ residence that should have an active Vivint account. After 6+ conversations with their contract representatives and Vivint turning my alleged non-existing account over to collection agencies. This is clear fraudulent behavior to increase profit margins.

Alex did a great installation on all the equipment. He first reviewed the order and did a walkthrough, telling me I didn’t need this equipment or better recommendation. Vivint installed a system consisting of three cameras, two glass breakage sensors and one motion detector. A bit troubling that I received different costs for the equipment and monitoring with every different individual I spoke with. The technician was abrupt almost to the point of rudeness. Everyone seemed more concerned with getting the contracts signed than effectively insuring that I received the best system for my needs and thoroughly understand the operation of my system. The technician did not supply me with any signage to put on my house to indicate that I was protected with a security system. In spite of this, I do feel that the system will meet my needs, it seems to be pretty easy to operate.

I made the mistake of trusting various “best of” articles online that praised Vivint, and now I am stuck in a five-year contract with an absolute sham of a company. Their monitoring service and technology are extremely unreliable, and you cannot count on their customer service to resolve anything. For example, my dog triggered a false alarm due to a faulty motion sensor. The person from monitoring services who called me could not speak English or even tell me whether the alarm was still going off. At first he seemed to say it wasn’t but then later said it was indeed still going off. I begged him to turn it off so my dog wouldn’t die of a heart attack. He said that was impossible. He refused to let me speak to anyone else. I had to hang up and redial to speak to someone else, while speeding home on the highway. My dog was shivering in a corner when I got there.
For months, I’ve been asking management to follow up about that call and make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else. They still have not, and they refuse to share the transcript or recording with me without a subpoena. It’s too late for me, but if you’re reading this then it’s not too late for you. Save yourself the drama and just go with a security service you can actually trust.

I had glass and door detectors installed. The tech was great. Very informative and knowledgeable. He was in and out quickly and was very efficient. He explained the app and the process of registering it with the sheriff's department. He explained how to add users and how to arm and disarm it.

I had an excellent installation experience with the Vivint installer, Mr. **. He called me before arriving to preview his arrival. He arrived on time and prepared to work efficiently and effectively. He assisted me with locating my Wifi name and password. He set up the system and assisted me with loading the apps. He troubleshooted accurately when the system did not load on my Vivint app. He then installed successfully my car guard system which he said was his first ever. Nevertheless, he installed it accurately and expeditiously. And it worked. I was deeply appreciative of his attention to detail and high quality installation. I would recommend Mr. Dell and Vivint to anyone and everyone.
