The product installer was amazing and helpful. The system works great as well. The new cameras with the flood lights are a great addition to the security. The installer told us they follow anyone in our perimeter wherever they walk and that is a plus for us. The installer was efficient and knowledgeable. He placed everything at the right angle and place. The panel is reachable as soon as you walk in.

The quality of the product is more than what I expected. The video is awesome. The price point is a little high but what price do you put on safety right! Michael the installer was very professional and knowledgeable. After he was was done testing his installation he instructed us on how to use the system. He even gave me his phone number too if we have any problems. If you’re looking for a security system or home automation I recommend Vivint.

The Vivint tech is very professional and they work on a timely manner. Eric was a great help in explaining all the details of how the alarm system works and how all can be seen from my phone. He was very timely in how he installed all the cameras around the house and the doorbell camera as well.

The entire team were up to their duty to make sure I get my home protected with camera. However, I wasn't impressed that the Vivint couldn't provide the remaining 5 sensors for my 5 windows without sensors rather I was told I would have to buy each at $50 each. For now, the 5 windows are not protected pending when I could pay out of pocket. The Tech that did the installation was very nice, patience and good in guiding me through.

I was completely caught off guard by my final cost of my “equipment” when all was said and done. I spent several hours over a 2 day period and numerous reps telling them that the math just didn’t add up. I never was given an itemized breakdown of all cost. I was only shown what i would pay monthly for my equipment and what I would play monthly for my services. I decided to cancel on the 3rd day. They don’t make the cancellation process easy. They set you up and install at the drop of a dime. They said the full cancellation process could take up to 30 days.

Issac was awesome! Very helpful, explained everything. Took the time to go through all aspects of the operation of not only the panel but also how to do everything on my phone. I was so happy that he was able to integrate my garage door opener with the system. I now know my family is the safest we can be. The first time I installed with your company The camera system would come and go and have issues The billing system mess up my billing. I had to have all that fixed over numerous times. Over the course of The time that I've had service there has been a lot of lagging, animal detection and wind detection telling me that there is a person present when there is not even though I was told it's not supposed to detect anything other than a person. I continued with this service as I already had an agreement just recently. Had a sales rep out. Told me about the new updated cameras and spotlights which is very convenient for a longer playback period on an SD card as well as the spotlight. After installation the camera system in the driveway where the spotlight is does not detect the detection zone that it is supposed to. The camera has been offline. The cameras in the backyard are still detecting the animals as people being present.
I received an email stating that I was going to be charged a one-time fee for the new purchase which was not the case. It was supposed to be finance and I even have the documents to show. I contacted the sales rep and let him know that I was unsatisfied about this and that it needed to be resolved. Two days later I received the same email yet again that I am going to be filled a one-time charge for the service products that have been just installed. Again very dissatisfied. Camera in the front yard driveway is still not detecting people in the detection zone. A technician has not been out or scheduled to come back out in any means or contact with me. I will not be recommending this company to anybody. I will finish off my service and I will be done as well.

I started this process several months ago and had to continually push back installation due to setbacks with utilities. Heather our rep was so accommodating and understanding. Great company. Great install rep. I called on a Friday and had my system fully installed by Monday morning. Spencer was really helpful and clearly explained all of my options. The app & hardware is really easy to use. I can operate all necessary security options from my phone. Tech support is readily available. Glad I left ADT for Vivint.

I contacted Customer service for assistance with reactivating an existing system. I felt like I did not get clear instructions on the system. I was told the 30 minute call would assist me with the set up and answer all questions. However, I only received a text exchange for the set up and it took about an hour. The agent called but it felt rushed and I was driving and not in front of the system to truly navigate and ask more questions. I still have questions. I will more than likely find a tutorial on the site or call customer service again.

We just had our installation and was able to get most of what we anticipated. Being we don’t have an attic, it was difficult to manage an easy way to get more outdoor cameras hardwired to the home. We still were able to get three cameras including doorbell. We replaced all our sensors since our alarm.com ones were starting to malfunction after just one year. We integrated our front door lock, have our co2 sensor monitor, and water monitors. We feel way more secure than before!

I had a scheduled installation for equipment from Vivint Smart. Greg is the one who came over and explained everything that needed to be done. After discussing a few options, Greg got to work, and all the installation was done on about an hour. He showed me how to use the system and it was easy to understand. Overall a great experience.

I was very disappointed in that I was given a different price than quoted, which had nothing to do with him. He helped me get a supervisor but the supervisor took the price down but increased the monitoring. Which made not sense to me. Told me basically I could not get what was quoted to me.

I talked to Shayne with Vivint and he quoted me a price on the phone. I wrote everything down on paper and read it back to him. He stated it was correct. The price was $68 a month including the equipment but when the Technician arrived he said it was $83 a month. I wasn't happy about it but I decided to go ahead. I called several companies and got quotes and Vivint was the cheapest price but actually it wasn't because I was given the wrong quote.

The installation took over 12 hours. One camera not installed where I wanted a view. Had to be relocated. Tech was great and it was a very long day for both of us. I wanted the door lock and once installed it would not lock. Many adjustments and it still would not lock. Had to remove and put in my old lock. I don't want this review to reflect on the tech, because he was very patient and kind. I feel this should have been a two man job from start to finish. The tutorial was quick because it had been such a long day. Another thing I want to add is. The day after installation I get an email about new installation can have up to 6 months monitoring free. I called and they said I don't qualify. Why send me the email,?

Vivint is by far the worst experience I've had with a security system. The cameras have great picture quality when they work, but that's the issue. They are constantly at low signal or no signal. The warnings are often minutes behind the actual event. The interface and app are terribly not user friendly. The customer service kept pushing a tech out post installation when we had issues and wanted to return the system. Then when customer service finally listened to my return request they said they couldn't do anything because it was past the 3 DAY RETURN POLICY. YOU ONLY HAVE 3 DAYS TO EVALUATE AND DECIDE ON THE SYSTEM. That is insane and unclear when purchasing the system.
They assured me that I would have plenty of time to think about it but that is not the case. Overall the system is the worst security system I have ever owned and would not recommend it to anyone. I am now stuck with a system that doesn't work well and is far under par compared to almost every other system that is a fraction of the price.

They left before hooking up my outside cameras which is completely unprofessional. I won't be recommending them to anyone. I thought the technician could have been more empathetic on me having cameras to protect my kids and house. Not happy.

Beware!! They don't allow Google or Facebook reviews for a reason--a huge red flag. We sold our house and paid off a Vivint system that was well over $3000 yet they are trying to force us to PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S MONITORING even though we no longer live in the home! How absurd is that! I've called several times to stop this and finally had to report the charges as fraudulent. Read up on this company. Apparently they're well known for theft! RUN AWAY!!

Luis and his partner David did a great job installing our equipment and explaining how everything works. I had originally asked for certain products and on the day of installation Luis was able to accommodate some changes my husband made. Highly recommend getting Vivint and getting Luis or David from El Paso to install it.

Installer was helpful especially with how to set up iPhone, codes and the like. He also took pride in his work. He took the time to correct the sloppily job ADT did on the outside wiring on the house. ADT just ran the cameras wire in the brick mortar lines. Our new system shows no wires visible to the camera, a much more professional job than ADT. Very satisfied with our new system. Also like the fact that installer said he would welcome calls with any questions we may have. Thanks Andrew **:— our installer.

I have been a customer with a major competitor for 14 years. I wasn’t necessarily dissatisfied with the service, but it was time for an upgrade. I chose Vivint because the packages offered appear to be more technologically advanced. I have read and watched several reviews. The consensus for the pros and cons appeared to be mixed. I was unsure about the transition because of the reviews and the price difference from my current system. It was truly a leap of faith! The installation process was exceptional! The field technician was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I am satisfied with the service and will recommend this product to friends and family.

I own two houses. I have had VIVINT (previously another company that I can’t remember) in Arlington TX since 2008. I purchased a new home in Waxahachie TX and BRINKS (formerly another company that I can’t remember) was already at the house, I just had to activate. We became dissatisfied with BRINKS and I chose to also put VIVINT at the Waxahachie address.
Yesterday Ali, an outstanding technician, arrived to install. I had been told I was “pre-approved” so I was surprised when Ali told me I needed to “apply for credit”. I didn’t understand since I already have an account for the home in Arlington but reluctantly agreed to “apply”. Ali went back to work and in a few moments I got a message that my Equifax account was locked and VIVINT could not get approval. I had locked my account almost two years ago due to a bank irregularity when my previous bank was acquired by PNC, and was told the freeze was for 12month unless I requested the freeze again. I did not request an additional freeze, have not applied for any credit and thought the freeze no longer existed.
Once I was made aware Equifax needed access, I tried to reach Equifax online but they could not verify who I am!!! WHAT???? I had to them call Equifax which proved to be a V E R Y arduous task!!! My call was “bumped up” to three different supervisors and then I was finally told there was no freeze and no entity had tried to verify my credit. WHAT???? All this time Ali was patiently waiting and heard much of what was going on because I had the Equifax call on speaker phone.
Finally, the third supervisor sent another link after being convinced I really could not access either of the prior links. The Equifax supervisor assured me they had had no problem with the final form link but by that time my patience and nerves were stretched beyond my ability to cope any longer. Ali to the rescue!!! He understood what I was being asked to do and showed me on my MacBook how to accomplish what I needed to do to complete the Equifax form!! Had Ali not been present I know I would not ever have been able till comply with the Equifax request. After two hours on the phone, Citizen was able to verify my creditworthiness and Ali quickly finished the install. Ali was the epitome of professionalism and maintained “cool” at all times, even when I was on the verge of losing my mind!! THANK YOU TO ALI FOR MAKING THE INSTALL A SUCCESS!!!

Pricing is high compared to other. Yes, I understand you get what you pay for, but you can come down on the pricing quote a bit. Your markup is outrageous. Those cameras are not that expensive. I can only hope the service will make up for it.

We recently moved into our home and had an unwelcomed experience with a man coming to our home that we didn’t know that police became involved with. I called Vivint the next day and asked about a system I saw installed in our home. To my surprise I was able to has the system activated under my name and schedule an appt to have it activated the next day. Shawn spent two hours at our home trouble shooting some issues and educating us on the system. He was amazing! Both Shawn and the phone rep were professional, and very empathetic to our situation. I really felt like this company had our best interest at heart and wanted to be sure I had everything I need to feel safe.

The only thing I found wrong was that I was told that my AT&T equipment was compatible with Vivint equipment so all that needed to be done was reprogram. Well, when the installer arrived he explained to me that it wasn't. The installer was very polite, professional. Let’s start off by saying if I could give Vivint -500 stars I would. I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. I have time because I am currently on hold with their customer service. AGAIN! It’s been an hour. The last call after either being hung up on or being on hold was 2 hrs. Every time I call I am told that I am next in queue for a supervisor and either hung up on or no one comes back to the phone. (RED FLAG) Is this the way to treat a Veteran?
I signed up for Vivint security in May 2015. They were ahead of the curve with great security cameras and automation. I signed up for a 5 year contract. Unfortunately I had to leave Clarksville, TN for a job opportunity in San Antonio, TX. I then planned to relocate to New Braunfels, TX. I called Vivint and a tech came out to uninstall my equipment. I was told at that time that if I didn’t have the equipment installed at my new location I would still be responsible for the payment of the equipment even though I wouldn’t have monitoring. The tech told me that he would have that added to my account notes and I understood. (RED FLAG)
I arrived in Texas July 2018, and was told by property management that I wasn’t able to have Vivint install the alarm at my new leased home because they had a lot of problems with the company. (RED FLAG) I remember the conversation I had with the tech and that I had to let the time of my contract run out even if I don’t have monitoring. No problem, just run out the contract. (RED FLAG) Now this the meat and potatoes!
This is Nov 2022, I have relocated to Georgia over 4 years later, and I am still being charged $64.97 a month. I called and asked why am I still paying this? I was told by several SUPERVISORS in different departments that I should have notified the company when I was told I couldn’t install the equipment. The tech in Tennessee never put anything in the notes. No option of a refund or anything. I was even told that I would be contacted by a SUPERVISOR on a Saturday. I found out today before I was put on hold AGAIN that no one works in Customer service on weekends. WHY LIE!? There’s no remorse, no understanding. NOTHING! Not even an option to turn in the equipment, or even address the situation properly.
I have been told multiple times that this is a very unique situation, and shuffled to the next person that does nothing to help at all. Not even an option to refund money that was paid after my 5 year contract. I was also told that my account would be closed. That tells me that Vivint is basically gonna take my money and get rid of proof that I even existed. (RED FLAG) Here’s the math: July 2018 - Nov 2022. $64.97 a month = $3,378.44. What’s basic alarm costs that?? I might as well been an investor in Vivint because there’s no way a company that’s established would treat people this way. This is the reason why a lot of people go to RING and other similar companies because of this type of business model. I have written this review and guess what? I'M STILL ON DAMN HOLD! .…Look up the reviews on the Better Business Bureau website.

They don't tell you that this could affect your credit, at all! It drops your credit tremendously if you miss one payment. It took almost a month to deliver my doorbell camera and to top it off you have to pay two separate bills instead of just paying one bill. If they would have told me from the BEGINNING that it goes on your credit I would've NEVER DID IT!

I’ve been a loyal customer for almost 10 years, one day I came home to my services disconnected, when I called to investigate, it turns out someone on the Vivint team closed mg account by accident. Almost 2 hours on the phone speaking to individuals with poor English, I was finally able to speak to a manager who was able to help the situation. The bad thing was that I had to pay a reactivating fee to reinstall my service even though it was no fault of my own and my account was still in good standing as far as monthly payment. I have been told by friends to call the loyalty department in order to get this issue resolved. Just the worst customer service I’ve received from any organization. One thing though, from all the transfers and getting of wrong, they all did it with a smile.

This setup experience was by far better than what I had with ADT. Luis knew exactly what he was doing and how to make the wires as neat as possible so they wouldn’t be all over the place. Excellent service. Our installer went above and beyond to make sure that the installation and equipment was what we needed and to the best of standards. He also explained to us in detail every question we had. He also ran demo tests to make sure everything was working. Was very professional and polite.

Our technician Colt was very knowledgeable, kind and worked quickly to install our system. He walked me through all phases of operation and cleaned up after his work. The phone sales guy I spoke with was also very informative and kind. I would recommend Vivint to my friends and family.

This equipment halfway works half the time and you cannot get in touch with no one to assist. The guy who signed us up has disappeared now after the install and was very impatient and pushy with getting this done. I wish I had not allowed my daughter to do this mess and very sorry to deal with these people. This equipment freezes a lot and poor service!! Wish I could get a refund and take this none-working mess out of my home!!!!

Vivint Technician was very professional and knowledgeable with his work. Very respectful and would definitely call on him for help with the system. Technician was also helpful in showing how to control the panel and the application on the phone.

We had the Vivint system installed on our home the week before we moved in October 2021. In the last year, we have had to call multiple times about equipment failures. Latest is the camera doesn’t work and it will take 10 days before a technician can come fix. When you do call to speak with someone often your calls are dropped or they do not speak clear enough for you to understand. Customer service is terrible, equipment is unreliable, just overall a terrible system for the high cost.

Tech was very helpful with the installation process. They answered questions and even tried to get me a better deal on my service. Installation went smooth and the tech provided suggestions and recommendations as to where equipment would best be situated.

The whole setup was super easy. I was working from home and had an animal recovering from surgery who could not be disturbed. James was patient and able to work around my needs. He did a great job, was thoughtful, and clearly conscientious in his work.

Kenneth was amazing! He was very informative and provided detailed instructions on devices, access, and potential upgrades including solar panel options. I even added smoke/carb detection device to my package on the spot! Excellent customer service, efficient, caring, and knowledgeable is the best way to describe Kenneth’s job today at my new home!

We were impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the Vivint team, especially Elijah. He addressed all of our concerns and devised the perfect system for us. The installation was by one man, Bridger, who completely reviewed locations of censors, window breakage units, door censors & IPhone interaction to allow us to have 100% security in our home & property. Service by phone, text & technician is EXCELLENT.

Technicians were very courteous and knowledgeable. They worked fast and were very professional. I received excellent training on how to use my new system. The technicians cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed by how they conducted themselves. They also advised me on adding additional products to enhance my protection.

Spoke to Rep on phone 11/02/22. He was very nice but the information given to me was different than what took place when installer came out. I asked the rep how much a system was going to cost over the phone. I told him what ADT was going to charge. He told me Vivint would be 500-600 and the quote I received from ADT was very high. I asked how much monthly monitoring was. He said 29.99
I told him I was referred by family. They would get 200 credit and I would get a free camera. Turns out next day since I am getting a camera monitory goes up to 39.99 a month. My system was not 5-600. More Logan 1800.00. If I was not in a hurry for a system I would not have done business with Vivint. I spoke to several managers. One was Brody. They all are programmed to tell you about the cost but no one listens to the customer and comes up with a good solution to problem. More like bait and switch technique. Installer Mario was the only one pleasant to do business with. Your cameras were overpriced as far as I’m concerned and no discounts were offered after all the frustration I encountered. Not a pleasant experience They are going to credit me 15 a month for 9 months. Not a fair solution or offer period.

Someone came to my house saying they wanted to advertise the Vivint system and will give me a free notification sticker to put in my front yard. They showed up and did all the work very quickly. Did not really explain things and never gave me the notification sticker things started falling off before they even left they just stuck them back on. And I have not heard from anybody. Very disappointed with the system. Tried to cancel several times. They kept giving me another way to fix things.

The salesman was too pushy and would not take no for an answer. He made me cry and wouldn’t leave our house without us having the system installed even though I was very clear that I didn’t want it quite yet.
