Installation went well. I have a difficult house to work on. Had to sign the paperwork 3 times because of changes beyond my control. All parties were very professional and helpful throughout the process. They cleaned up all excess trash.

Ethan was a great representative and answered all our questions thoroughly. Demontrey did a fantastic job installing all of our equipment. Very pleased with the entire experience! We had follow up questions after the installation and Ethan was quick to come by and answered all of our questions. Oz was very pleasant and worked very professional. Stayed to make sure everything was working and that we were set up with everything on the HUB and walked us through all of it. I loved every minute of this experience. Everyone was very knowledgeable. The only con I see is the process started at 6-7pm and the installer was at my house until 11:30pm on a weekday. I would say waiting until the next day to install wouldn’t be a bad way to install the equipment.

The technician was very knowledgeable and very thorough in explaining everything and every step he did everything right. He made sure I agreed with the location of sensors and he taught me how to use panel and cell phone, very patient with my 3 dogs. He worked as fast as he could. I asked him to move one sensor and he did it very happily. He wanted me to be happy with the set up

Price for use is pretty good but the equipment cost. Luckily 0% interest. Still +3500 for 3 sensors, 3 cameras, 1 smoke detector, and the smart hub seems high especially since the new panel is pretty darn close to an Alexa. Time will tell but everyone throughout the process is helpful. This is literally the 4th survey I’ve been requested to do per Vivint so they are really big on getting feedback.

A good job was done and the worker handled himself very well. He did a good job explaining and helping us understand how to use the smart panel. He did a good job making sure to hide the wires to make it where they are not showing. A very good mannered and handy young man.

Our installer Steve was top notch. We had to troubleshoot a few quirky issues but he is very experienced and had a bunch of tribal knowledge about how these systems work. Highly recommend Steve S. The system itself seems to be good and the app is easy to use with plenty of options to customize your options.

Amazing service and installation. Installer was professional and explain the process. The installation took about two hours. I have an older house and the technician was very adaptable and flexible and made the installation seamless. I am very happy with service so far and video quality is outstanding. I am a repeat customer and hardly get to brag on people/companies in today’s world of viewing customers/clients as numbers or transactions. We can talk about how good the tech is or how awesome and easy the interface is, but that’s to be expected when spending this kind of money on a product. What impresses me the most is the ease of dealing with Vivint from the time I called to the time my system was online. Their customer service is exceptional and their installer, Christian, was knowledgeable, professional, and super easy to talk to.

I had made an appointment with Vivint for 3/13 between the hours of 8:00 - 12:00 to confirm number of desired cameras and to check current sensors (replacing prior security firm). Joe arrived timely and went over all the preliminary paperwork and cost based on minor changes. Being in agreement with terms and conditions, as well as modified cost, Joe started installation and finished same in about 3 hours. Joe took the necessary time to explain the operation of the alarm and asked if I had any other questions. It was a successful install. Thank you, Joe!

Jay stopped by the house as a cold sale about 5pm and told me about the product. Products sold themselves and Jay was very informative. Switched from ADT. Seamless transition. Very informative presentation before and after installation. The technology is cutting edge, along with a reasonable price. The buyout program helped me to make a decision without financial implications. The installation was quick as well even though it was done in the evening. The technician arrives and tells me that he doesn’t have the equipment that we asked for. He then goes to say that the older sensors and the garage opener is not compatible. When we called to order the service the guy said we could keep our old sensors. All in all we didn’t get our garage opener or our thermostats. The technician did not clean up after himself and he left all the old sensors on the doors/windows and the wires from the outside cameras hanging.

Installer was very friendly and proficient. The job has not been completed because I am hiring an electrician to install outlets near the location Cameras will be placed. This should be completed next week. After using the system for a while, I will be better able to access my satisfaction of VIVINT as it is much more expensive than my previous home security company.

I was extremely pleased with the job. I like the cameras and also the front door camera, and the panel which is very easy as well as the app on the phone. I also like that I can open the garage, and front door the the phone. I also care that I can let people in the front door without me going to the door. I love range of the cameras on the front of the garage and the side of the house. I am very happy that I let ADT go. The tech was excellent explaining and teaching the system. He also was very nice.

The installer was knowledgeable about the equipment that was installed. He was also personable, and professional. I appreciate victory's assistance in thoroughly showing me how to arm/ disarm the system. He was very patient and thorough as he explained the multiple ways to arm the new system. He allowed me to arm/ disarm the system until I was comfortable with its features. I am pleased with my decision to switch to Vivint security services.

Isaiah, Ananda, and the other two guys that were there were great, funny, friendly, and were quick. Looking forward to Ananda coming to get that Zaxbys lol. We had a good time while they were installing our new system. Their service was a great. 10/10 for us. Based on the things they showed us about the company we think we gonna love it and it’s very affordable and soon we hope to have someone to come out and add another camera. My technician was patient with my questions and went over everything before the actual installation. He helped put extra sensors so my sliding glass door had two sensors for when my doggy door insert was in or out. We had to take off a flood light because it couldn't be installed with the position of the camera which was mounted upside down.

Pablo provided great customer service, friendly and helpful. I did express my concerns about privacy issues with the neighbors since his driveway is close to the side of my house. I wanted a camera by my air conditioner since my neighbor made a comment last week when I called park security about his playing his guitar at 10pm. The neighbor said my air conditioner was always turning on and it bothered him and said he hasn't done anything about it yet. Thank you Vivint.

Great experience. At first I was quoted extremely expensive without realizing there were better deals they could have offered me. When I indicated I wanted to cancel to go with ADT, I was transferred to the retention customer service and that was outstanding customer service as the rep gave me a better plan in order for me to stay. He also said it could go lower after the first year. It turned out fantastic at the end. The system is great thus far.

Equipment is poor. Customer service is poor. Every 2 months or so we call and complain about the Equipment that's poor. We were told that when we sign up there is no service charge so in the beginning there was none and now of a sudden there is. We been trying to get out of contract for about a year. My family and myself don't feel protected by this company at all and in the beginning my home was never monitored at all. Worst company ever. Save your money and when we were told that someone was going to call us they never did. The Equipment is garbage.

Rep/Installer was great, answered all my questions and also worked with me as we were having a WiFi issue when setting up but that didn’t stop him. A suggestion is to not charge the sales representative the $400 (previously waived) installation fee if the client decides not to get the system installed. This is what I was told would happen when I decided the next day to not get the system installed, which would save Vivint installers from coming back to remove the system and accessories. I got the system installed and have no issues with the system, but I told the salesman that I didn't want to account for another debt, since my primary desire is to pay down debts.

My technician’s name is Angel. He was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole installation. He was thorough and explained everything step by step. I plan on adding more products to my home in the future and will ask for Angel. I would definitely recommend Vivint to friends and family!

I had this alarm company since 2014 when we first moved. We started having issues with the equipment last year 2023. The system kept sending alerts and I called them in November. We spent a whole hour on the phone about how to reset the system and change the battery. So we decided being we started using the ring cameras, we don’t need Vivint anymore. I called at lunch, at this point they want to tell me another story how our equipment is old and it needs to be replaced. And they will give us a big discount and free equipment. They didn’t say that yesterday. So I said I wanted to cancel but she kept trying to sell me packages.
Finally I spoke to a manager that said I will get an email for cancellation and I have to send the email back with the password. So we did just that. Then we get an email about a month later saying the account cancellation was unsuccessful. That doesn’t make sense. At this point I removed all credit card information from the account that was still open and accumulating charges. I called them again. Same story, are you sure you want to cancel blah, blah. All over again. Never received email about cancellation.
January 25th we called again to ask why is it still open. Then they want to say because we have a balance. We canceled in November, anything after that I’m not paying. Spoke to manager and she said they would take off anything after November so we only owe $90. So I give them to payment information to authorize that only. Received the email of the payment but never the cancellation. Fast forward 3/7/24 and I noticed my account balance is lower than it should be because I need to get my car fixed. I have four charges of $79.56 in my bank account. So I called them. And once again “I’m so sorry” and I was put on an eternal hold. Spoke to a manager and she said we don’t see that your account is cancelled but we will cancel everything now and delete the balance for you. You will get your funds in about 5-7days. Still no cancellation email or money.

The disclosures over the phone when I was making my appointment were accurate the service to install. The system was very quick. I got quick response to my inquiry. I talked with a rep who answered my questions and explained things very clearly. I set up an appointment for installation the next day and the tech (Sheldon) recommended some things after a thorough walk thru both inside and out of my property. He arrived on time and very pleasant and explained things along the way. He gave us a demonstration of the installed system. All of the paper work was done digitally and easy to follow. I have had Vivint for the past 5 years and finally cancelled my account yesterday, which took 6 days to cancel...No joke. Once I finally cancelled, and argued with several different people over the past 6 days...I got disconnected several times, nobody called me back, could never get a live person on the phone, etc., I was told it takes them 30 days to cancel my account. Seriously, I have to pay these scammers another month, but they justify it by saying they prorate my final payment. It depends on which day your fee is deducted. For me, my payment is on the 15th of the month, so they will credit me back 15 days. However, this is not why I cancelled. This is...
I was paying them $57 per month for a service they are not capable of supplying, meaning their customer service. For 5 years I have had constant software issues with them. Their app is really slow to communicate with whatever it communicates with and there is a delay. If I disarm my house with their app, I have to wait a little before I open the door. If I open the doors too quickly it sets the alarm off. For 5 years they haven't been able to fix this issue and I got so sick of having to call them, which takes forever to get anyone on the line, I just learned to live with their shotty app and software, however this still isn't why I cancelled. My alarm has gone off fairly often over the past 5 years. And this just happened again a week ago. I was at a work seminar and my alarm went off due to equipment malfunction, which is completely normal with Vivint. Once we had a break, I noticed as usual that Vivint had sent me a text, a V-mail and an email to call them!!!! Emergency!!! My alarm is going off. I immediately called them and got the same message a Vivint customer always gets..."We're experiencing higher than normal call volume, which we experience 24/7 for the past 5 years, so just wait until we can get around to answering the phone." I was on hold for about 10 minutes or so but had to return to my seminar, so I hung up.
At our next break I called again and received they same message..."We are way too busy to provide you with the service you are paying $57 per month for." That's literally how I hear this message every time. I was on hold about 10 minutes or so on this 2nd call, but had to hang up and return to work. So, once my seminar was over, about an hour later, I called Vivint a 3rd time, stressed out this whole process because I have no idea what's going on with my house, and whether someone robbed it or not because I can't get anyone on the line, and their app is too primitive to give me any specific info. I was on hold for about 20 minutes this time...And nope, still nobody at Vivint was able to take my "emergency" call, even though they sent me more texts, emails and V-mails to "call us!!!!"
After about 20 minutes the recording came on again thanking me for holding and explaining once again to me that they are way too busy to provide me with the service I have been paying for, then their system hung up on me. Between the 3 phone calls I have been on hold about 40 minutes so far with Vivint. Once I got home, and still not able to speak with someone at Vivint, I saw my house was fine, and the alarm was set off due to equipment malfunction again. However, I still have no idea what happened with Vivint, and whether they sent someone out, has someone showed up, are the police coming, etc. So, I called Vivint a 4th time and after being on hold for about 20 minutes again, someone answered the phone....4 phone calls, and about an hour's wait time later....This is why I cancelled...Someone was finally able to answer my call.
This process I just described above is why I cancelled. This is completely the norm with Vivint. Just try and get someone on the phone in an emergency....Impossible!!!!! It's been this way for 5 years, and honestly, in the past three years it has become much worse. I don't remember this being a problem like this the first 2 years, they just seem to keep going downhill with their service. Just a note to any current Vivint customers. Call and cancel! Seriously, they will try to talk in into staying by reducing your monthly fee, and offer you credits for free security equipment. And, the last guy I spoke with who tried to convince me not to cancel, told me they have offered up to a $600 credit to people in the past in order to get them to not cancel. So, call and cancel and then let them reduce your monthly fee and give you free equipment!

Sales rep didn't keep his word. Sales rep said I would get old age sensors and $200 off because my son has Vivint system. Sales rep said he would follow up in few days to insure I didn’t have any questions. The installer was good, fast, and professional. He was at my house the same night I purchased and stayed late getting everything installed. He tested everything then explained how to use console and the app. I was interested in another camera because I cannot see my backdoor.

Great installation, service and explanation of everything. It was easier than expected, system is very simple to use, the camera quality is excellent and knows the difference between people and things that don’t need recording. This is fourth set of cameras in 20 years and by far the best I’ve had. Alarm system is also easy to learn.

Installation was a snap since I was transferring from another system. The worker was polite and efficient. I did not like trying to read documents from my phone and trying to relate to a person on an iPad. Very impersonal. All was difficult to impossible to fully understand what you were signing. Also they spelled my name wrong. All personal interventions were good.

James was so kind!!! I was running a little late for my appointment and he waited without a complaint. When it was time to install my equipment, he took his time and talked me through everything. He walked me through the front door camera and the sensor. He also showed me how to work the alarm from my computer phone. I would definitely recommend him to someone else. My husband and I have discussed dropping our recent security service. I took the survey, good way to make sure it's the right person. Informed me of the 3 day rescission period. He showed me how to alarm the system and add users. The Tech was great but my hubby and I are not great with Technology so was quite nervous about it. She walked me through just great but then leaving I apparently did something wrong and the alarm went off. Now I don’t dare touch it! I need more instruction as to what to do when leaving the home. Great sales team! Friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing guys. Explained everything. We like that the smoke and carbon monoxide detection will contact fire department. Doorbell camera has a very wide view. Camera spotlight chases the intruders outside. Installation was quick. Installer was friendly and efficient. Overall great price. Our price will be $62 just for monthly monitoring and one camera. That price seems too high. Also, when setting up our system the one camera isn’t working. We need a technician to call us and we were told they would but no one has called yet. Please have someone call us as soon as possible.

I won't say our install was the most perfect because it did take some wrangling, BUT I felt so taken cared of, everyone we talked to or had on our home were kind, well informed and literally went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted and installed professionally. Our peace of mind is so much better now that we found Vivint and got the security system we were looking for. We were previously with another company and had defective equipment, didn't get the service or equipment promised. Night and Day between the two companies. I will be recommending Vivint to any of my friends who are not getting exactly what they want for their security needs.

I am very satisfied with the product and everyone was very courteous by phone. However, my husband was the primary account holder and moved out of the home pending divorce. He called to relinquish the account to me. The rep would not speak to me though we were present together for the call. She indicated a need for a call back which was never received.
2 weeks later I called with no viable option for account transfer. I spoke to 2 people and again told I must be called and could not speak to anyone when calling in and also must answer the phone with a 72 hour window. 2 days later I sent an email. Just over 3 business days later I received calls as a response to both. One person could not help and the other advised I had to be home to update the panel and then had to schedule another call back. I had to have a personal contact/sales rep call to trigger a call 2 hours after my set time. This took a total of 20 days from first call to completion of transfer. The address and equipment were the same and I was already an admin.
I simply needed to remove him and add my financials. This could be a security threat for someone who leaves the home but still has access as the primary system administrator. There's should be a quicker and easier process and someone to assist when you make a direct call vs requiring a call back with a broad window. I appreciate everyone was friendly and following protocol. This is a corporate policy flaw that should be corrected. The product and services are great and would have recommended prior to this incident.

Thomas was a great installation man. Very nice and fast worker. Very satisfied, my doorbell camera is very clear, my hub is touchscreen and easy to use. In all honesty, all of these security companies have issues with tech support and software. This is why I canceled my account with ADT and chose Vivint. However, after two days of no adequate tech support to help me activate the Vivint app, I realized that I had made a wrong choice. Their pricing is very high, as well. There are also a few bait and switch issues with their generous buy out offer. If you go with Vivint, you will be on a 5 year contract if you finance the equipment. Even though the APR is 0%, the other miscellaneous charges will make up for that. The installation Tech was very efficient and courteous but everything else was a bad experience.

Today I had the chance to work with Cameron **. Very patient and knowledgeable. Answered every question I had. Did not try and rush me into signing any paperwork. Took the time to make a call to customer service so that I was aware of what equipment I was getting, how much it cost and how long I would be paying. There were no hidden fees. Made sure equipment was installed for the best view as well as protection for my kids and I. With this being a new home installing looked perfect and wires were hidden. Took longer than expected and seemed like maybe technician was unsure of what his tasks were. Almost as if he were new and didn’t know what he was doing. Otherwise experience was well. Installment was complete. Maybe have to next time explain that WiFi is needed for update and installment as I had Vivint installed prior to internet.

I will be recommending Vivint to my sphere and new people that I meet, everyone should have home security to protect their home, family and valuables, it definitely gives you peace of mind when you go to bed at night. My installer arrived within the window provided to me by Vivint. The installer was very well-versed in the products and installation process. He did a very good job in installing the product. There were challenges in a couple areas keeping wires hidden, but he did an amazing job with that. The only real problem I had was I had ordered the Garage Door Hub. My installer told me it was not compatible with my garage door opener. So it was not installed on my system. However, after further research, I have found the Garage Door Hub is compatible with my current garage door opener. If I want to add it now Vivint will charge me for installation and activation. This is for something that is not my fault. Without this mistake, I would have rated them 5 stars.

I love my new system! I haven’t had it very long yet, but the technician was friendly and informative, and made sure I understood my home security panel, garage door opener, and door bell camera. The ring bell camera is 4K, very clear, and picks up sound excellently! I can’t wait to get the smart thermostat, and door locks, and more cameras! They offer fair financing packages for those whose credit doesn’t quality. I definitely recommend Vivint smart home security to anyone!

The installation and walk thru for new alarm system went well. The installers called ahead, arrived on time and installed the equipment. They went over additional paperwork and made sure I knew how to use the equipment. They were respectful of my property, cleaned up after themselves and closed up installation holes. Terran was amazing at not pressuring me into purchase. Spoke to me as a person and not just someone he was trying to sell a product to. Answered all my questions confidently which lead to my purchase. My equipment was installed the very next day by Aaron who was friendly and patient when showing me how everything worked. He cleaned up any shavings from wall and door installs, even went beyond when my garage opener didn’t want to cooperate and got it to work. We love our Vivint system as it gives us security when we are home and when we are away. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. My system is constantly down and useless. Try and seek help with Vivint customer service and good luck. They blamed the issues on my wifi but my wifi signal was checked and very strong. When I asked for a tech to come out "that's impossible." Yes I had to become the tech. We had a situation across the street and the police wanted to view my camera's video, sorry officer my system is down again.. Their response was, "Oh you have Vivint, we understand they are not reliable systems." Even the police know they are worthless.

The next two people I encountered were RUDE and spoke to me as if I were slow and stupid until my son took the phone and went off. THE TECH RJ who ultimately came to my house saved this sale. The initial phone operator when I called to receive Vivint input my last name and email wrong leading to an other than streamline installation process during the day of installation. Thankfully, the installer was of good cheer and didn't make the ordeal awkward. Once the paperwork was fixed he installed everything fairly successfully.

Sales man did not sell me what he promised. Order was different from what we agreed over the phone. I’ve already got equipment at home. I said I already have a door bell camera. He said, "O hwe can give you an inside camera." Instead when the technician showed at my home and I asked, "Did you install inside camera" he responded, "There is not inside camera on this order." Very disappointing.

Currently I’ve been a Vivint user for two years now, so I’m pretty familiar with the service already. The service tech was quick and efficient with the install. Great communication skills with explaining the system operations and details. Overall I’m satisfied with the service and highly recommend Vivint alarm systems.

The installer was prompt and efficient. He was respectful of property and carefully installed the indoor and outdoor systems on my older home. He was very knowledgeable of the system and explained and demonstrated how to use it and I felt confident when he left. I am 70 years old and I now feel safe and confident home alone with my new Vivint monitoring system in place.
Here at Vivint exceptional treatment of our customers is expected! We're happy to heat our technicians are meeting this expectation!

The process was done in a fair amount of time. The equipment and service in this area was highly recommended and lives up to that evaluation. The only issue is I was not made aware of an additional person/supervisor showing up to my home once service was complete and the customer should be notified.

Jimmy was very helpful and professional. Did a very neat job and was very pleasant. Patiently explained the system to me in detail. He is a very good face for the company. The installation went pretty smoothly overall. Everything was going according to plan until we hit a snag with the front door—it just won't close right. The technician stated they would come back and address the issue. The manager decided to talk to me about the issues they had with technician's work style. Personally, I didn't see any issues with how the person was handling things. Despite these little hiccups, the installation was still a good experience, just gotta sort out that door situation.

Vivint has great customer service! I love how the Vivint service tech I was speaking to over the phone was able to remote access to my camera on my cell phone and see everything I was seeing and he was able to better assist me. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and polite..

Ray was really wonderful. He worked all day without eating or taking a break and was very patient explaining everything. He had a difficult time as my salesperson had told me some incorrect information.
