The security system was installed in a private residence. The sales rep, Stefen ** was polite, explained everything, and overall very nice and helpful. All the technicians were helpful and even came back when I had to leave for a short period! Great experience! Have seen ads on TV but until sales rep came to my house had not contacted the company. I even suggested the Vivint to my daughter who lives next door.

Our Vivint package has the garage door opener, front door automatic lock and a regular alarm, and I'm satisfied with their service. Everybody that I talked to and helped me with the issues on the phone has been great. Their installer was very professional. He asked all the right questions to figure out what we needed and managed to fix it all within 30 minutes. Really fast. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The battery was to be replaced and Josh ** was the Service Professional assigned to do the work. He arrived as agreed, worked with knowledge and expertise given his task. Josh was very friendly and thoughtful as he entered the home, worked to complete the job and leaving with friendliness and good will.

The other home security company that we had was raising their rates. We got a better deal with Vivint and we're happy with it. They take a picture when somebody rings the doorbell and my husband liked the idea of being able to use the camera to see who is at the door when we are in Hawaii or up on the mountains or somewhere else. The system works and does what it’s supposed to do other than the furnace glitch. My husband was going to call them again because the system is hooked up to our furnace so we could control the heat when we’re not home from my cell phone but we’ve had two instances where the furnace was just running. It seems to override what he sets for the furnace.

I think today when our technician was here, we should've got the upgraded panel at no additional cost, especially seeing how we're loyal customers who have been with Vivint for 5 years.

I heard about Vivint from my neighbors and I purchased their package that includes the doorbell camera and glass break. The interactions with the sales reps had always been good and the installer was also a nice guy. So far, their service has been great.

I switched to Vivint from ADT, and Vivint is clearly the better option. They had a better pricing scheme and were able to provide more security for the buck. The salesman was friendly and informative. There weren't any problems with the installer who came. He showed up pretty late at night, which was surprising considering I didn't know they operated that late. But I'm thankful that he did 'cause he got my system up and running quickly. Recently, I contacted customer support when I locked myself out of the house and couldn't get back in. I haven't had a single problem with Vivint since I've started. It's more secure with them. I have a solid peace of mind now that I know that my house is locked up. I've tried to get as many people on board with Vivint as I can.

I can't say enough positive about Vivint! The product is excellent and so very easy to use! The installer was very efficient, knowledgeable, professional and personable. He was also on time. I did not have to spend time waiting for him to show up. The features are numerous and extremely useful and provided at a very low cost. Vivint's thermostat works really well and I like it. I also have the cameras and security system as part of my service package. However, I've been having a lot of problems with the front doorbell camera as it often gets disconnected from the server. The camera is poor, but they come out to fix it and get it back on in a timely fashion, but it keeps doing it. They need to install a new camera as I think the problem is the product they used for that. All the installers were great, but the first guy who came did not clean up all the drywall dust where they had to drill. I could tell that he was a contractor and wasn’t an in-house crew. Then a second guy came and fixed everything, and he was great. Vivint's staff have a quick response time and they try to help the best they can so I'm satisfied with everything, except with the camera.

My wife is disabled and I was gone a lot, so we needed a security system and got Vivint. We had a service package that included the I’ve-fallen-and-I-can’t-get-up button, camera doorbell, door lock, a couple of motion sensors, and glass break detector. We spend most of our time at the back of the house and it was really nice to have the camera doorbell which is my favorite feature. Aside from that, their people were professional and courteous. The sales representative was a good kid and the installation team knew what he was doing. He really did a good job, cleaned up after himself, and went through the product. Overall, it was a very good setup. I like it and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I have had lots of issues with the panel after installation. Vivint has been very willing to try to resolve the issues but the issues continue. A new panel was installed and the very next day connection between the panel and the app was lost so I was unable to arm the system from my phone. This is a very frequent problem.

Vivint replaced two sensors from my old system including my garage door. I also got the doorbell camera, the wireless fire alarm, and the smoke alarm from them. They pretty much made the previous system that I already have better. I was always with ADT and it's a good company, but I wanted to try a different company. So I told Vivint to give me a few hours to think about what they were offering since it sounded too good to be true, so there has to be a catch. I was not under contract with ADT anymore, so I went with Vivint after I did some digging around. I was impressed with their service the very first day because I was messing with the sensors in my house and I was tampering with my sensors and I got a call, which was pretty good and it is something that ADT never did.
The guys who came to install the system were professional, and I was there with them while they were doing everything. I was asking them a bunch of questions and they were pretty knowledgeable. Vivint's system is pretty good, I have a pretty good contract, and I like it. I don’t know what their technology is going to be in five years, but I'm pretty sure that what I have right now is going to be obsolete and I might continue with them still. Overall, Vivint is awesome.

I had an alarm service before but Vivint seemed to be superior and had some of the features that I really wanted. Installation was easy since I already had the equipment installed. I've liked the system so far and it’s been excellent. They’ve been very good that if I had a tripped alarm, they'd call up immediately so I know they respond well if I needed them.

Our Vivint service package includes the camera and the thermostat, the glass breaks and the sensors on the garage doors and on all the windows downstairs. A lot of these features are what we have from our previous alarm system. But with Vivint, I love being able to access information on an app on my phone, and I like the camera on the doorbell. These are the two biggest selling points for me.
I'm satisfied with their services, even though it's a little pricey. We have had some issues on our front doorbell with the connection being lost, so sometimes we have the camera and sometimes we don’t. They’ve been out to fix it once, but I'm going to have to call them again. I just wish the repair worked right the first time. But still, the people at Vivint have always been positive from the sales rep to the installation people and then the gentleman who came in for the initial repair. I have no problem with their customer service, but I wish the system would work right the first time. I have had a friendly, positive and efficient experience with Vivint.

So far we are on a trial basis but whenever we need them they are there to help. Both times we had someone here to help us. He knew what he was doing, very customer service friendly. Follow-ups were done both times. There was no rush, no pushy or uncomfortable actions taken place. They were patient and made sure that we were happy with the services they were able to provide! We have not felt pushed or obligated to anything so far and being in sales we know what that can be like. We try to not be that pushy aggressive person. They definitely made us feel comfortable!

I liked the features of Vivint's security system. I really love the doorbell camera and the fact that I can use either my phone or the panel on the wall to talk to somebody that rings the doorbell. They've done the panel recently and I would like the ability to control all of the settings of the voice on there. I don't believe I can do that right now though. Other than that, equipment wise, everything works great.

The world's most annoying and stupid salespeople. Our community is clearly posted as NO SOLICITATION. 3 times now, idiots from this company have come knocking on my door. The first group didn't understand alarm systems, told me silly stuff like a landline is required in order to have an alarm system. I told them never to come back. Second group came and I sent them away. Third group came tonight, claiming to have letters of endorsement from my neighbors, our city, our community's board of directors. Complete lies! The name that they gave as being on our board of directors wasn't one of our current or past directors. Slimy, high pressure, glad handing sales droids. Avoid this sleazy company at all costs.

I'm not home all the time so I need the peace of mind to know that somebody’s looking after my home when I'm not there. I looked for different security systems and I narrowed it down between Vivint and two others. I got Vivint's whole bundle - a doorbell camera and another camera, a glass break, and door sensors. So far, it's been generally good. I've had a few hardware problems where they replaced the panel where it's been freezing. Other than that, I'm happy with Vivint. Even if I'm away, I can check and see what it looks like outside by looking at the camera. I'll know if someone rings my doorbell. They're very nice features.

First, let me say that they only got a star because I could not post with zero stars which is what they deserve. Vivint is the worst company I have ever dealt with - If you are considering signing a contract with them - DON'T - You will regret it. We had a 42-month contract where we were completely bound to this company that offered little to NO customer service. Our system never worked properly and when they came out to fix it they wanted to charge us more than the $78.00 that we were already paying monthly. One incident we had was the "automatic" thermostat turned on the heat (middle of summer in Florida) and my three English Bulldogs were extremely overheated by the time we got home from work and found our house at 94 degrees.
On another occasion we had a small fire and fortunately we were home but Vivint called and said that our system was showing a maintenance error. This does not reassure me that our house is being monitored when we are not home. When I cancelled the service in December 2015 in writing by mail and then called to personally make sure they received my cancellation - I was told "YES", they did receive the cancellation. Then, I checked my mail yesterday and there was a collection letter from Vivint for $194. I called to speak with a manager and was given an Accounts Manager name Chance today - he was like speaking to a robot who kept repeating himself and clearly reciting a script that he was reading. He said I never cancelled.
What a joke this company turned out to be. It is really sad that companies have become so difficult to work with. Vivint tops that list - I would never recommend them to anyone - EVER. We also had friends who had their service and also had trouble with the service and trouble disconnecting the service. They are scammers.

The package I got from Vivint included 100% cellular service, which is one of the main reasons I went with them, and the controllability from a smartphone. We travel quite a bit so we wanted to be able to let dog-sitters or maids in and out of the house and monitor them. The installation crew were very professional and knowledgeable about the equipment except for the garage door opener. They were unsure about it because it was brand new, but they got it installed and working. I did have a problem with it once after and I called the support line off of the app and they walked me through what to do and got it repaired. We didn’t need to get a technician involved so it was helpful not to have to wait for someone to come out.
The doorbell cameras are very good added feature to the system because I use them quite a bit with the automatic capability of locking and unlocking the door. I would like to add second doorbell cameras because I have two main entry doors to the house. So if someone rang the doorbell in the front of the house, I could have a conversation with that person versus the side of the house. At the time when I signed up, it was not a feature so I don’t know if it is now.

Everything has been wonderful with Vivint. I heard about them through my sister-in-law and we got in contact with the sales rep she's been dealing with and he was very informative. He helped us out a whole lot and was very good. The installation team that came out did good clean work, was very polite and respectful. Any issues we've had, Vivint has pretty much taken care of it.

We are very satisfied with the sales reps and techs! It did however take most of our day for this but completely worth it! My kids even feel a lot more safe and get excited to set the alarm to protect us as they say ha ha. The reason why I gave it 4 was because after they left, the alarm went off for the window break in? Haven't had time to fix it. And also, it did take all day to convince to check out credit and to install. Hope this review helps!

Very pleased with the professional way everything was done. I was told about all the equipment and to operate the system. I had another system and returned it after several attempts to make it work. The timing was perfect to get a security system because we've been having some trouble in the neighborhood. So far, I've been impressed with the service. When the dog set the alarm off, Vivint called and checked on me. We've also had some trouble one day when I was on my way downtown and we had set off the alarm without realizing it. Vivint called my next door neighbor and she told them not to worry about it. I then called Vivint via phone and they unlocked, unfroze and rebooted the system. So whenever I call, I get through them very quickly and everything's taken care of.
Every time I've talked to Vivint's staff, I've been very pleased. They’ve been very nice, personable, knowledgeable, and patient. The sales rep who came to our house was very nice and charming, and the reps I talk to on the phone are helpful. They walk me through my concern and don't act like I'm a complete idiot if I can't do it. The installers were wonderful, pleasant and courteous. It was a whole system in the neighborhood going and so they were here within 15 minutes. There was one guy that was very experienced training the other guys, and all were working fast and furiously doing what they needed to do, and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't have been happier.

I had someone steal a bunch of stuff in my house and they kept on coming by at the right time. The Vivint sales representatives were all great and they had the system in the same day when we were talking. The installation team was professional. They appreciated the business and that meant a lot to me so I took the service. I like the service so far. The price is a little high but they've been working with me because I've been out of work for a while because of a car wreck. They dropped the price a little bit so that helps. I'm satisfied with the service and would recommend them.

I had a service tech from Vivint come out to upgrade my equipment. He showed up perfectly on time. The technician was incredibly polite and professional. The customer service representative that scheduled everything was awesome. Great customer service across the board!

We had a little trouble with Vivint when we first got the system because the camera was faulty. We weren’t too satisfied to begin with but they replaced the camera and so that helped. It’s been pretty good since. Our neighbors had Vivint and so that’s how we got them. We have a camera, a box and a couple of windows, and we got what we were satisfied with. I only had to call them the other night to reset my box because it said it was under maintenance but never got updated. We went through that and it worked okay so now I’m happy about it. We got the security panel, garage door opener, three thermostats, and doorbell camera from Vivint when we moved, and we're extremely satisfied. The technician was extremely helpful. He cleaned up after himself, was professional, efficient on his time, and friendly. Everything was wonderful. I would definitely install Vivint security system again if we have to.

Vivint's service was good. Everyone came out and took care of everything. They've been professional and did everything they said. I've been fine ever since from the installation to the service and equipment. The only problem I have is I referred one of my friends to them. The guy came out late at night, never ended up finishing the installation and that was only a second alarm. He made a mess out of the wall and driven holes in there. My buddy said he tried calling three times for the manager and left a message, but they never got back to him and nothing was taken care of.
He called me up complaining how aggravated he was with the service guy. And all the guy was worried about was leaving and he didn’t have things that he needed. They explained to my buddy that they were going to have a truck and everything he needed, and it was going to get done. I wasn’t happy about that because I referred one of my good customers. I own a locksmith business and I've run it for 32 years. I get a lot of people that ask me about alarms and stuff. I didn’t appreciate that they were rude to him and I would like that looked into and see why they didn’t call him back. If that doesn’t get resolved, I won't give them as a reference because that looks bad on me. I started referring people and now I'm having problems which I don’t like. They're calling me up complaining and anytime I refer someone, I'm going to hear about it if something went wrong. But for me, I haven't had any problems with it and it's been over a year.

We have a glass breakage detector, a medical pendant, and a doorbell camera from Vivint. I feel safer and I am glad that we are with them. Their sales rep was knowledgeable and helpful. Their tech staff was also very good. I've called twice regarding the video camera and different things and they stayed with me until they fixed the problem. I'm very satisfied with Vivint.

Vivint's sales representative was professional, easy to reach, and explained the levels of service to me. Their installation team was good although we were having issues with the camera and the guy who installed it was supposed to come back, but he didn't. He told me to get in touch with him so I kept contacting him for a couple of weeks instead of contacting the company, and that gave us the delay.
It took about two months for the camera to get fixed. I contacted them after stating that I couldn't get in touch with the tech who installed it. I had told them that I paid the full amount and my camera wasn't working. They told me to contact them again when it was working, but I never got the difference. I still paid $75 during the two months even though my camera wasn't fixed. I was also a little frustrated with them because my car got broken into a couple of months after I got their system. But then they helped me fix the system's sensitivity and I haven't had any issues since.

We got Vivint's regular package with the thermometer, doorbell and indoor cameras, and the fire alarm. The sales rep who sold it to us went through everything and he was great. We spent two and a half hours asking him a bunch of questions and him showing us what the system entails. So far, talking to the sales rep was the best experience that we've had. As for the installer, it took him some extra time to install the system because the wiring in our house was not correct, but he was very good and he cleaned up his mess.
Vivint's services have been okay, although we've had some challenges, especially recently, with the app on my phone. Whenever I pull up to my house and try to turn the system off before my little 4-year-old runs inside, we have to sit there for four minutes while I try to connect to my home. Also, we had to have a service tech come out three times to fix the connections. But aside from these, their service was as expected, and I've been happy. There were a couple of things that they could improve on, but I'm not afraid to refer them to somebody else. In fact, I've already referred two people to Vivint.

We had our system upgraded by a door to door salesman last summer. Paid $100 for upgrade, no problem. Didn't think of it at the time, but an account manager called a couple days later saying that buddy was supposed to be doing new installs not upgrades. Seemed odd call, I was fine, but obviously it triggered something with head office. Discovered a couple weeks ago (9 months since upgrade) that since the upgrade I was being double billed on credit and checking account each month. Wasn't too upset, called to resolve it, billing office closed, they took all info and asked me to call back during office hours. Seemed a bit odd they didn't make an effort to call me, waited a week or so, sure that they would call but no.
Called them back and buddy said he'd investigate. Received email saying I would be issued refund email, but he couldn't call b/c their system won't allow calls to Canada? Called back today a bit frustrated saying that in addition to the refund I would like the $100 upgrade refunded as well, due to fiasco and their extremely poor customer service and lack of loyalty for long term customers. Buddy said "no! Expect cancellation when our contract is up!" This has taken an unacceptable amount of time to resolve, and by the way, the upgrade isn't worth the price. Our doorbell with video sticks out like a sore thumb (no casing, sticks out about an inch from siding). Everyone asks why it looks so bad, and panel is glitchy (door locks, thermostat aren't consistent, even though programmed).

Vivint is a very well customer-oriented company that's willing to go that extra mile to take care of you. We're really loving our Vivint system right now. A Vivint guy came knocking on our door one night and my wife talked to him. I thought she knew him but she thought I knew him, so we talked about it. Turns out nobody knew him but we went ahead and did it.
The service package included the indoor monitor, the camera on the outside doorbell, one that has a smoke detector, and three door alarms. Every time we'd call the sales rep, he would check into it and things were taken care of real quick. He led us in the right direction. The installation guy was a young Hispanic gentleman who was super nice and very professional. And then the customer service is exceptional. Once we figured out the system and how our cable hooked up because we've got a lot of electrical surges in our area, everything was great.

In August 2015 a Representative of Vivint came to my home selling a "New" "Better" security system than my current ADT Security. At that time I was in the process of selling my home (Real estate sign in yard). The representative said Vivint was new to area and wanted to get into our area. I explained I was selling my home and did not want to be obligated for a lengthy contract. He at this time said we could cancel the service when we sold our home, that the wiring and equipment would still be in place for future homeowners.
Upon selling my home I called Vivint and cannot get this cancelled. They have been very rude and stated I will either pay for five years or I need to solicit someone to take over the contract. I am in the process of hiring an attorney due to the fact I had witnesses at my home when their salesperson sold me the system... I would not recommend this company to anyone and will report to the BBB and any other site with reviews.

I purchased a service package from Vivint that included the armed away and armed stay, sensors, camera on the front door (which was a plus), and the thing that’s put on the wall, used if somebody will shatter the window. So that was good. Then I’m able to do everything and see my home from my cellphone while I’m at work or away from home. I can see who's at my house. Their people were professional and courteous. It was an A-plus experience.

We're getting older and thought that we needed home security. We've been happy with the service from Vivint except the Space Monkey, which never worked for us. They tried to do something about it. They said they would send me something to send it in to be fixed but I never received any correspondence. But they had been nice to us especially the men that were sent here. When our video camera at the front door wasn’t working right, they came right out and took care of it. It has worked fine ever since.

One of the Vivint sellers went to our house, and we decided to get the ring doorbell camera, the inside camera, the smoke detector and glass window break detector. When the techs came in, they explained what they're going to do and did the installation. They were very efficient. And when the alarm got triggered twice, Vivint responded immediately. We knew about Vivint when a neighbor had it installed. We got our security system from them as well and my wife wanted to have the video monitoring and sensors for doors being opened and closed. So far, I have a generally good experience with their service. Everything’s been fine and the system has done what I was told it was going to do. The sales rep was a pretty personable individual and the installation team did a good job. I didn’t really expect them to come that late at night, but they came and got the installation done.

I had a quick experience with Vivint because we were looking at the time when the door to door sales people came. They were professionals, did a good job, and explained everything in detail. I'm away from home quite a bit and I wanted my wife to have more security and I can control it from my phone too. One day I forgot to turn off the alarm and within about a minute and a half they had contacted me, which at least I understand now that it does work. Also, a neighbor across the road has the system and he likes it. I would like them to stop by if they're in the area and see what else they’ve got new that’s available.

I got the motion detectors, two doors with alarms on them, the camera on the doorbell, and the monitor. We were thinking about getting them and Vivint happened to be in the neighborhood. We are gone quite a bit and out of town, so we felt like we needed something. Most of their sales rep had been pleasant. The installers were great and nice, very helpful and efficient. The service so far is good. My husband is real bad in going out and setting the alarm off, and Vivint calls me. They’ve always been real nice about it. However, we had a problem with one in the garage that monitors the garage door and when I called, the gentleman told me we don’t have anything like that. It is hanging right there at home. He kept arguing with me and it was quite a nightmare. But other than that and being a little expensive than others, everything has been great with Vivint.

The Vivint sales rep was wonderful, articulate and had great personality. She was able to translate all the detailed information so that I understood exactly what I was going to get and the benefits of having the product. The installation team was very helpful in explaining where everything was and how it works. They were efficient and did their job well.
I have the alarm system, two keychains with the alarm, a computerized door, and the camera on the bell so that when people come up, I can see them on my monitor in the home. Whenever there is anyone that rings the doorbell, it keeps track of whoever pressed it. I really like it. I also have it on my phone so I can see. I am extremely satisfied with the service. It benefited our lives.

I submitted a cancellation of service request on February 3 of 2016. Vivint sent me a confirmation email indicating my request was received and to give them 2-3 days to process my order and also that one of their team member will be contacting me soon. On February 5 the alarm was trigger and it went off. Vivint contacted me and I ask them to don't send the police. I also indicated Vivint's representative a request of service cancelation was already submitted on February 5 and I was put on hold while she was pulling out my account information. We got disconnected and Vivint sent anyway the police to my old address and never called me back again.
I received a letter and fee from the Miami Dade County for false alarm a week later and contacted Vivint immediately. I found out then that my account was still active after my request of cancellation was made verbally and in writing over a week ago. I expended two days calling them and getting different answers from different members until finally Robin at extension ** told me to go ahead and send them an email with copy of the letter I received from Miami County and told me also Vivint will take over the fee for me. On February 23 I sent them an email and attached Miami Dade county letter too. Vivint sent me then a confirmation that my email was received.
For my surprise I received yesterday March 14 another notification from the county for the same issue that Vivint told me they will take care for me. I contacted Vivint just to be told they didn't receive my email from the February 23 but they got the one from March 14. How that can be possible if I have the confirmation that both emails were received by them??? After being told by Vivint that they will pay the fee Miami Dade County is charging me for false alarm, Vivint sent me an email denying my claim. I want to add also that the electric power was cancelled on January 23 and the alarm battery was dead at the time it went off on February 5. Their customer service is horrible and their lack of cross training is notorious.

Worst experience with any company. I sold my house and tried to cancel the alarm and was told it was cancelled but they sent me to collection 3 separate times. Now they tell me there is nothing that can be done and they want me to pay 288 to resolve and then they will cancel me. I haven't had the house or alarm in a year and a half. Oh yea and there is no supervisor I can talk to.

My brother got a Vivint system on his new house that he had built and told me about them. I purchased from Vivint a couple of cameras, smoke detector, the doorbell cam, glass break and all the door sensors. I need these features for some extra security for the house and I like that it's easy and cheap. I'm very satisfied with their service so far. Their rep was super friendly and very informational and the installer was super nice. He did a lot of stuff and that was a quick in and out deal.

Since initial installation in 2011 there have been nothing but problems with Vivint. Didn't receive camera because tech did not know how to install. Still have problems with door lock. Last time tech was supposed to come out didn't show. In past 6 months spoke with 2 managers, can't cancel services unless they receive letter or email. Have letter dated 2/24/16. Claim they didn't receive and will not cancel. They are holding people hostage. 5 years of lousy service and we still can't cancel. THIS IS CRIMINAL. WHO DO I CONTACT FOR SERVICES I NO LONGER WANT AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CANCEL FOR MONTHS? I need help. Never sign on with VIVINT. Please help me.

We moved into a new home last week. I did my research for home alarm companies. Spoke to at least 8 of them including few local ones. All the companies offered the same monitoring with the almost the same price. Vivint is $60 a month with a doorbell and door lock. Jason was our rep and Justin was our tech. Both awesome people took their time to explain everything. The system is up and running, no issues so far. The only sucky part is they let you try the system out for only 3 days. With all the high-tech stuff they offer I doubt anyone returns their service. The point of getting home alarm is you must feel safe. With Vivint we feel secure and safe when we sleep. It's a great company. Do your research. Don't fall for those 19.99 deals. For that you must have a home line which is another $25 so pretty much adds up to the same thing. Good Luck.

In this day and age, it seems prudent to have a security system, so I purchased a Vivint package which includes a camera for inside and outside the house. I was very satisfied with their service and the installation team did a professional job. Their reps have been very polite when we have accidentally tripped the alarm, which we did more often than not the first month we had it because we kept forgetting and opening the door before the alarm had been turned off. And they call me right on our panel and they're very courteous. Vivint is topnotch, although their rates seemed to be on the high side.

We have the application of Vivint on our cell phone where we can arm and disarm and look at our security system. We also have the motion sensors and doorbell camera. I’ve been satisfied with the service. When we've had issues, the reps have been good in trying to get it fixed pretty quickly.

I'd been thinking I needed some sort of security system as I live in an older neighborhood with older residents. They're not getting any younger and as they get older they'll either die or move into nursing facilities which means their homes are going to be sold and I have no idea who's going to buy them and this would change the neighborhood. There was also a time when my oldest granddaughter was living with me and she had a boyfriend who became very very obsessed with her to the point that I had to call the police three times. So I thought having a security system made sense and I got Vivint.
I've been more than satisfied with it. Their sales representative happened to hit me at a good time when he came knocking on the door and the timing was right. I haven't had a problem with the system other than the fact that the batteries have run out but I've learned how to get around that. If the alarm has gone off, they call me. If the smoke detector has gone off they call me too asking if there's a problem so I have been very impressed with it. In fact, I have recommended them.

My best friend thought that Vivint would be good for me since she put it in her home. Since I have people in and out my home, I thought the cameras would be beneficial, but it's not. The router keeps kicking offline every time there's a little bad weather, and I can't use it. I'm never home and so it's hard to get somebody to check it out. So I feel like I'm paying $85 for nothing. It's been like that for a couple of months. Vivint sent me a second set of cameras and they keep telling me that every time it kicked offline, it's doing something to the cameras which I don't understand. I travel a lot with my job so I haven't even installed the new cameras yet. The inside cameras still won't work because they need to be changed out again.
I have the system for a year now and I could count in one hand how many times I can use it. I tried to call the sales rep to get tech support or any kind of assistance with the service, but he never replied. I felt like it was enough that he sold me the system and now I need to deal with tech support myself. The two guys who installed the system were good and commented that if I couldn't get in touch with anybody and I needed some assistance, I can contact them. But I don't feel the need to do that.
To have this much complications with my equipment, which I think would be a bit more advanced, makes it cheap. If they'll tell me they'd send me two more and to throw the other ones away, then it means they're buying cheap stuff and that's why they're not working for me. They didn't solved the problem. Customer service needs to improve a little more.

I have two cameras and one at the front door, which were quickly installed. I have the ability to check who the visitors were from my phone at work. Vivint's service isn't very good after they sold the program. I called them because all the time there is a battery out somewhere. But I guess it's because they used our same system and that's been a pain. Somebody came out and said that they don't have any service people and that they can direct me on how to do it myself. I said okay so we worked through it that way. We’re still using the system but if I had to do all over again, I wouldn’t do it.

Vivint is an awesome company and so far, we've been happy with them. Our service package includes the doorbell camera and we had all our windows, doors and glass shatterproof, because we wanted security especially now that my wife and I are getting ready to retire. It is very nice to be able to close and lock the door just by pushing a button, and arming the system through a phone. The sales reps were really professional and the installation team was spot on. One of the installers told us to give him a call should there be any issues. We gave him a call but he’s no longer with you guys, so we had to get a hold of the others who took care of everything.

We talked about having an alarm system for quite a while for the safety and security of our home. A Vivint salesman came in the neighborhood, and we purchased the service which includes a front door camera, five door contacts, a garage door opener, motion detector, glass break, and a wall panel. The sales rep was very professional and arranged the installation the next day. Installation was done professionally and in a very timely manner.
The Vivint system has been easy to use and provides the security and safety that we were looking for in a total system. We were also able to put on a heating and cooling system. We were worried about the alarm system interacting with our heating and cooling system but there was no problem with the connectivity of either. We also like the remote features using our apps on our smartphones. If we go away, we can check and see how things are going and that’s the security that was promised. One time, we forgot to close the garage door, and we remotely lowered it. It's easy to set the system remotely.
Although I love the system, I’m having a little trouble with my motion detector on my camera. Sometimes I’ll have a person come to the door and they won’t register. Today, I dropped the sensitivity from 50% down to 35 and it stopped registering but I still want it to detect the visitors when they come to the door. Overall, the system provides exactly what was advertised and we’re very pleased with the exception of the camera problem.

Knowing that Vivint was available, I bought a service package with thermostats for remote functioning and a doorbell camera. However, the doorbell for the video takes a little bit to load first. But other than that, I’m pretty satisfied. The sales representative was easy to contact and explained everything to me. The installation team were pretty friendly, knowledgeable, cleaned up after themselves and went through on how it would work everything for me. They came out and got it installed without any inconvenience nor issues. I got what I expected and I recommend them to anyone else.

The installation was not a problem at all, took about 3 hours to do. The installer explained everything to me and made sure I knew how to use all the devices, and wasn't happy until I knew what I was doing. The alarm is amazing. I love it.

It's been frustrating and the Vivint system doesn't work half the time. When I disarm the garage door and open it, it says I have three doors open and I know I only have two. Then the garage door also opens and disarms by itself. We can arm it. We drove off somewhere and my wife put the phone in the glovebox. When we came back, she turned the phone on and was going to disarm the house and it’s already disarmed. It happens quite a bit and we didn’t know how long it’s been disarmed. I told Vivint that this has been when we first got it and the guy said that he didn't see it disarmed. He didn't believe what I was telling him but he was nice about it.

The installation technician was outstanding! He managed to troubleshoot some pretty tricky obstacles in our home to ensure all accessible windows and doors were secure. I am very satisfied with the service. I have the doorbell camera, glass break protector, and all those sensors. I thought having these features is convenient because when I'm not home, I can see my dogs to make sure they're are okay and that the feeding lady comes to my door. It's also a good price because ADT was super expensive.
The sales rep was a cool guy and he's the only reason that I referred other people. But I don’t like that when I refer a friend, I have to physically call in to get the discount. It should just be added to my bill. I shouldn’t have to call, wait to talk to somebody and get it credited to my bill because I refer people all the time and every time we have to call. It would be great if Vivint could fix the referral thing.
The installation guy was nice, thorough and helpful. The thing I didn’t like is that he wired my front door even though my house is already pre-wired for an alarm system and attached the garage doors. So it sets the front doors open even when it's the garage doors that are opening. They said they can't do anything about it.

I bought a doorbell with a camera from Vivint. However, I should have kept my ADT because Vivint is more expensive and I should’ve read the contract a little better because I’m stuck with them for five years. I should also have had my husband sign it because he was over 70 and I could have gotten out of it but I’m okay with it. I just got to call them for them to come and adjust my doorbell. People can hear it outside when they ring it but I can’t hear it inside. Nonetheless, I'll recommend them.

Terrible online info. Could not find my current model, software version of panel and cameras. Why not? Could not get information on upgrade, i.e., resolution, coverage area, and could not compare... what I have to what I might want. Why can auto and IT industries provide comparison specs but Vivint cannot offer a simple fix? Most frustrating part of dealing with Vivint. Reps are outstanding but lack of information for due diligence is absent. Shame. Needs to be fixed. Second point. Just upgraded panel and cameras from Classic to Sky. Wasn't aware I had to get new app for my iPhone, iPad, & computer. Then lost connectivity to new cameras. Setup was not seamless and I am still trying to figure out how I can use cameras to monitor my 95 yr Mother. Poor, poor!!! Please fix!

Their installation team knew how to communicate with me as far as where to place the items, so I was very pleased with the way they performed too. We got the thermostat, doorbell cameras, and glass break from Vivint. Everything was nice with the sales rep. The installation people were nice, too, but were very late, and they didn't install everything correctly. We had to call out some air conditioning people to fix our thermostat, but Vivint reimbursed that. Apart from that, my experience with Vivint has been good, so far.

We have three little kids at home. It would be nice to have a security system so we purchased from Vivint. Our package includes the alarm system, space monkey, a doorbell camera and then devices for the windows and glass break detector in the basement. Their sales rep was very personable. I didn't realize when we're signing up that they were going to install it on that day. As soon as he left, three people came and worked until 11:30 P.M. I finally had to tell them to come back the following day because we got kids and we got to get them in bed and we also got work the next day. Overall, I'm very happy.

Did not like to them. Come out twice for the one install. The first tech, while professional and great, did not come with all of the components I discussed with the telephone rep. The second tech, equally good, came with all the necessary parts BUT not anything extra. I wanted an additional external wifi added but he did not have any components on the truck. I got an offer from Vivint to try their new system, and since we were just about to move into our new home, it worked out well. We have the camera at the main entrance, the keyless entries to the garage and the main doors, motion detectors, and we use the mobile app. We've had a couple of instances where they had to come out and upgrade a couple of things. When we had an issue with the garage door not locking on the panel or on the remote, they came in and installed a boost, so that the signal could reach down. We have a large home and that has secured that issue. And with any questions we ever had, the walkthrough has been fine.
I also love that my phone rings wherever I am, whether in the United States or traveling internationally. I freak people out when I talk to them through the speaker because they don't know who's talking to them. I've had FedEx come in, and I just tell them to leave the package. They look around for a while before they do that. When the cleaning people come earlier than anticipated, and I'm still in bed, I tell them to give me 5 minutes and I'll be right down. It's very helpful, also to know when our kid comes in and out of the house at wee hours. He does get caught on the camera, so that's probably the greatest thing. And anyone who's with me is enamored by it. I've been almost like a salesman telling them all about it. I have friends who say they have to get Vivint, and that it's pretty cool. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

We wanted security because we were only two women in the house. We have Vivint's Space Monkey, cameras, door and window alarms, and break-the-glass alarm. I’m not happy now because I’ve moved and I can’t get them here until the 12th of this month. I’ve been without it since January. Vivint's team were very apologetic, though, and they fixed the problems. Also, I got false alarms when the person who was living with us went through the panel trying to change things, but we got them straightened out. I was at work when my alarm went off and the police got there before I did.

I'm not too happy with Vivint's service because it's not worth the money we're getting charged. Our package included a camera for the doorbell and then we paid extra to get a camera in the backyard. Our old company offered their system for $30 a month after already signing with Vivint at $76 a month for 5 years, which I regret. The doorbell camera does not work like it's supposed to. When somebody rings the doorbell, it won't show up on the monitor. The monitor says the system is offline. The lady that offered us Vivint told us that we would be able to talk to the person when they rang the doorbell through our monitor but the Vivint people I spoke with on the phone said it only works with my phone.
The installation team set the system up quick and then left. Two weeks later, the alarm wasn't working anymore so they came back to fix it but wasn't able to do so. When I called Vivint, they said that they will charge me to send their people back again to fix the problem which made me mad. And although their reps have helped us a couple of times, some tend to get nasty and rude just because they can't do anything about the problem. I wanna recommend Vivint because it's still an alarm but overall the service is not good.

We were with ADT when we had done some remodeling at our house. When we added a room, I was going to have ADT come out and add other things to the house and update where we have taken off the door alarm systems. They were going to cost too much money for this, and I was really upset because we had our system turned off for about nine months at that time, and we were paying them every month. Everything was taking so long, then I told them we needed to have that done. We were going to need an extra door alarm because things had changed, and we did not have anything that was as up-to-date as with Vivint. I was planning on just canceling and not having any security service, but then Vivint happened to come to the house that day. When they did, we changed to Vivint, and we got their doorbell camera.
However, the salesperson told me that any time we referred somebody, we would receive $100 credit, but it was only $50 credit. Our neighbor ended up getting them, and it was about three months into all of these, and I never heard anything back and never got any credit. I had to call a couple of times to find out what was going on, and then they finally issued a credit. On that part of issuing a credit after our neighbors told Vivint that we referred them, I think it's very poor because they didn't follow through.I tried to give them enough time thinking that maybe it's just the billing cycle, so it took a while to actually get our credit from them. Other than that, the sales rep was very polite, courteous, and he answered all of our questions. Everything was okay.

I have been a customer of Vivint for over 5 years and their customer service has always been lacking. I made a move from GA to FL and the plan was to rent until my family found a place to live, to buy a house. Our account was going to be put on hold until we found a home to reconnect service. The account was put on hold and then I received a call from a collection agency saying that I owe $275.00 from Vivint.
I was shocked and I immediately called Vivint and talked to 4 different people and over an hour on the phone. And mind you that since I moved from GA to FL I have not had no service or monitoring for over 8 months. The best they said that they could do is if I pay $175.00 now they can pull the account out of collections and then I would have to pay the rest. I said "pay $175.00 for what, I have had no service and no monitoring and the people I talked to did not care. They just wanted money." I have always liked Vivint and I started using them in Arizona and moved to Georgia and now to Florida. I have recently purchased a home and will be looking for a security system provider and Vivint will not get my business anytime. I would look at other companies.

My wife and I have been victimized by a slick sales pitch from a home security company (Vivint, Inc). Several weeks ago we were contacted by a person who came to our door and said they were 'interested in our house'. At the time I was busy attending to my wife who was very ill and I told the person he would have to come back later. We first assumed he was a realtor but when he returned he said he would like to give us a home security system absolutely free. All we had to do was to allow them to put their company signage in our front yard. We are both in our late 70's and would never allow an unknown person into our home. My wife was very ill with cancer at the time and we somehow let our guard down. The salesman was extremely glib and slick with his presentation and before we fully understood what was happening his installation crew was all over the house installing the system.
I was kept distracted caring for my wife while trying to pay attention to what the salesman was saying. I recall he stressed that in addition to the free system our homeowners insurance would go down and in addition the new thermostat would reduce our energy bills to virtually nothing- none of which has happened. I understood that our only obligation was an installation fee of about $150.00 which we paid on the spot with our credit card. We did not realize we were allowing them to charge us for a monthly service fee of about $70.00 monthly.
When the charges showed up on our bank bill I immediately called their office in Utah and told them to send a technician to remove the equipment. We were informed that we had signed a five year contract that was non-cancellable and were stuck for 60 months. My wife and I live on a fixed income of social security and a small amount of savings. We cannot afford this expense and intend to cancel the service. I have notified them by registered mail to remove the equipment.

The technician was exceptional. He was very professional, introduced himself and showed his ID badge during the introduction. The upgrade to the control panel was quickly and professionally performed. Additionally, the call center called to verify that the panel had been disabled within 30 seconds to a minute of the technician disabling the panel for the upgrade. I would recommend Vivint to anyone interested in a monitored system. The system, which I just renewed the contract reduced my homeowners insurance by $150. Be sure to request a copy of the certificate from Vivint since our agent needed that, which I was not aware of.

I feel safer with Vivint. I have the doorbell where you can see the person at the front door and a camera in the backyard. I chose that as I could be alerted if the doorbell rang and see who is at my front door if I'm out of town. The reps were all wonderful. Anything I've had to call about, they've been super. I'm so old school and a little older so it's a little bit hard for me to learn all these things but they were so patient and kind with me.

The technician was very courteous and professional. He checked to see if there was a second work order directing a new panel be installed since mine is apparently an older model. There was no panel directed even though I was promised one. My system was offline for four full days. I thought the panel was partial compensation other than the $6 credit for the outage. The service from Vivint has always been top-notch, but this experience has dampened my enthusiasm for promises received from Vivint and its services.

My experience with Vivint was the worst there was. Last year in June, their sales rep, Blake, came in initially inquiring about our solar in which we said we're doing great, then he asked us if we have a security system. I said "Yes, we have Royal Security." He then informed us that they have what is known as buyout where they buyout accounts from other companies so that they can have us as their client. We told him we still have four years left on our service with Royal Security but he said it's not a problem. He talked us into getting the security system by adding extra features for only $20 a month which we thought was wonderful. We have an iPad to where we can see whoever is at the front door because it was a camera. We just need to send him our final bill from our other security provider and he'll submit it. So we said okay.
I sent the bill to him, but little do I know that it went to his personal address, so he discarded the bill. He never sent it in. He was lying and being fraudulent about it. When we realized that it was not going to get paid, I kept asking him about it. We ended up getting a final bill from Royal Security saying that if it's not paid by December 17th of 2015, they are going to go into collections. That was a very stressful experience since we have no bills in collections and we are not even in debt. So I contacted him and told him we're going to go into collections on the 17th and asked him what he's doing. He said he submitted the bill and that Vivint said that it was going to get paid on November 1st. My husband asked why does it take so long when it's just June. We just wanted to make sure that they're making good payments since they're in our bank account getting automatic withdrawals.
We have $2,400 left on our four-year program. He said it will definitely get paid before December 17th. He also said that it's a win-win situation. If Vivint decides they don't want to pay the bill, they will get us back on track with our other security company by paying the delinquent bill. And so I thought something's not right. So I talked to some legal friends and was advised that I needed to contact Vivint right away and tell them what's going on. And so I did and talked to Shelby from customer relations and explained to her everything that went on. She told me to send her a screenshot of our conversation and that it should take 7-10 business days.
Three days later, they called us back and told us we'll get all our money back from June all the way until November and that they're so sorry for everything. I told them they need to fire him because he was very fraudulent. He made promises that he knew he was lying about. They said they'll handle the situation. We got all our money back and they got every bit of their equipment back. I don't ever want to see that young man again. I told Shelby that he misrepresented their company and that they need to have their guys screened a little bit more. That was a horrible experience. We ended up paying over $200 to get back with the other company so that bill won't go to collection. Vivint's solar is great but the security just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. And so I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

I have the doorbell camera and the garage opener from Vivint. Their installers have always been super nice and easy to deal with. I didn't feel uncomfortable with them in my home. There's been a few times I interacted with their reps too, mainly technical. I've dealt with the ITs 'cause I had a couple of issues with my monitor freezing. They fixed the issue and they worked with me. They're also pretty easy to work with. I'm satisfied. I love the features of Vivint. It's very easy, convenient and I feel safer. I think the four-year term is a really long time, though.

Vivint came around our house offering free equipment for people who signed up for service whose homes previously had alarm systems. This was being sold as an upgrade to old equipment our house already had installed. We had purchased the home about a year before & previous owners had an alarm. There was an increase in robberies close to our neighborhood. During this time we were feeling vulnerable. I figured if it didn't work out for us after a few months, we would be able to cancel service. Maybe pay a slight fee for early cancellation. I mentioned this while talking with the representative and he said 'yeah of course'. The time the guy came to our house was at dinner. Dinner was actually on the table and we have two little kids and I was 7 months pregnant. We really just wanted them to go away however due to our friends house getting robbed we were interested in trying an alarm system out.
After the first month our electricity bill increased $120. The next month it was the same, another super high electricity bill. Which became paying $79 a month to vivint plus a $120 increase on our electricity bill which we cannot afford. Once I unplugged the system, our electricity bill went back down. When I called vivint to cancel service they offered no options for us and were very condescending with a rude tone. Telling me I should have read the small print and because I haven't been a customer for a year there is absolutely nothing they could do for me. I am locked into 5 years. I don't even use this at all and there is nothing that can be done?
I asked to speak to a manager and they refused. Stating there was no one they could transfer me to. To top this all off this year they sent my name on a list to the city and now I have to pay another $50 for a permit when I'm not even using the alarm. The city was actually really nice about the permit when I called to let them know I wasn't actually using the alarm system. I have never had such a horrible customer experience with any company, product or service. Beware before you interact with and agree to anything with Vivint. This is a mistake I will be paying for for years.

Vivint is necessary but sometimes frustrating because of the amount of time. When I take off work, I’m here all day and nobody calls me but an hour before they cancel. They should work consistently. My husband was deployed and my kids are getting a lot older so I thought it was a good idea where they can come home now alone and I’m able to see who goes to the house and make sure they lock the door. I can set the alarm if I’m out and about. Lately, it’s been fine.
I’ve had a bunch of bumps from the beginning because the equipment didn’t work. The installation went great. It worked right away. Then it stopped working and it took them seven weeks and three cancelled appointments. That was difficult because I didn’t have any use of my service at all. I had an issue with one person on the phone but then I talked to her supervisor and she was great. All the techs that came in the home are great and really nice.

It was kind of frustrating that the tech did not have the tools necessary to install the automated door lock due with the deadbolt hole being too small. I feel he should come prepared to do what is needed to install equipment.

I like the equipment of Vivint and the service guys seemed to know what they’re talking about. Although the installer didn't discuss with me the fact that my wireless adaptor wasn't strong enough and I didn't have good signal causing my doorbell not to work. Another drawback it takes a while to get somebody from Vivint to come if there's a problem. The first time my system didn't work I was without a system for two weeks. And this time it took a while - three to four months. Also, when I had Vivint before, I may have even paid a little less and it seems I had more features - a camera and the thing that goes in my thermostat where I can control from my phone, while this time I only got the doorbell. So I need to call Vivint and see if I'm missing out on something.

Yesterday, Zack ** installed our Vivint system. We had Vivint at our previous address as well. Zack was prompt, thorough and kind. He was very professional and efficient with the work he did. I wanted a garage door opener and since it's two for one I got the camera, too. Every time we accidentally set it off they call quickly and we've had zero issues with them so far. Chad the sales rep is a really cool kid and a really nice guy. He's pretty funny too. He knew we would come to a deal and their installation team showed up even though we hadn't had one. He had his guy sitting up front of my neighborhood, waiting for a phone call. They showed up and we had an agreement. I'm really very pleased with Vivint. I only pay a little more for it but I don't mind. We've recommended it to a lot of people. We're not disappointed one bit.

Our experience with Vivint has been positive all around. We have their digital panel in the house, a doorbell camera, and some door sensors. The sales reps were nice and knowledgeable and the two installers who came out to our home explained and taught us everything, and were very helpful. However, we had one little problem recently that still needs to be fixed. There were some communication issues because we had a baby monitor set up in the house that was crossing up the system. Their technicians came out and replaced our panel, and then they fixed some other minor stuff. But the brand new unit is still flashing a low battery sign. So we called them back and we're supposed to have another technician out. But other than that, they've been responsive and our alarm system works well.

The representative came to our house uninvited. He cold called and my husband let him in the house without knowing him or anything about the company. The equipment was installed incorrectly and did not work. Since that time we have had numerous problems and service interruptions and cannot access our security system when we are out of town.
If the system goes offline while we are out of town Vivint cannot get our system working unless someone is in the house. We are out of town without security. Vivint is offline and cannot help us get back online. We assume someone has broken into our home and ransacked our house. Vivint's response is that someone needs to be in the house to reboot the system.
The burglar will not want to stay long enough to reboot the system for us. We don't need a security system we have to monitor. We need a security system monitoring for us while we are away. We have a wonderful security system before Vivint and I am a very dissatisfied customer. I want all funds refunded since Vivint cannot provide 24/7 security as promised. I will find every media access I can to spread the information about their nonsecurity system.
Beverly, if your wireless network signal from your router to your panel has been disrupted, we would have to manually enter in the information again. However, our systems have two forms of communication with our monitoring station, if your WiFi is not connected, we can still monitor your system 24/7 and inform you of any alarm events.

We have issues with gangs, drugs, and mischievous kids in our neighborhood so I thought we need something where I can answer my door and see what's going on around my property. Vivint fit exactly what we had been looking for. Their sales rep was super nice. He didn't know all the answers to all the questions that we were asking but he got immediately on the phone, called the supervisor, says "Okay, they're asking about this" or asking about that and we got the answers. He took the time to make sure that we understood everything about what we were getting, how it worked. Probably the first time I've had a sales guy come to my door and actually gave two cents of what he was doing because nine times out of ten you get them, they just want to sell and get out the door.
The installers came the same day that the sales rep sold us the system, which was cool. There were three of them and they were super nice. They needed to run a line on my walls so it wouldn't be seen and they were very careful drilling a hole in my wall, running the wires then sealing things up. They also figured out how to disarm a motion detector from our old ADT system which kept trying to want to go off. They left it in the corner of the room because if they took it down, there was gonna be a big hole so they left it and said, "If you want to take it down, you can move it now cause it's disconnected." But it took them an hour to figure out how to take that thing out of the whole security system and they took the time.
Also on that first day, one of the cameras didn't function properly so they ordered another one and said it's gonna take about a week, but they'll be here the minute it comes in. So when the camera came, I called and the Vivint tech was here within three hours to set it up outside the house. Their customer service was helpful when I accidentally set the alarm off and couldn't disarm it. They said it happens a lot, especially when you first get the systems. You forget what you're supposed to do. Anytime I have a question, I can call them.
Our security cameras on the doorbell and outside connect to everything by the internet on my phone. I bought an internet package and when we went on a cruise, I can monitor my entire home security system from the Bahamas. I even answered my door from the deck of the Disney Dream. I also get weather alerts when there's severe weather. It's all cellular and that's a huge plus cause I don't have to worry that somebody's gonna cut my phone line and be able to break into our house. Vivint is extremely excellent and I love the whole system. I even showed it to my neighbors so they'd now call Vivint cause they want to get the system, too. I have an uncle in Indiana who likes it so much that he called and was trying to get a system put in his house.

I have Vivint's doorbell camera, glass break, and smoke detector. The guy who installed the system was great but the salesman was pushy. And I was so disappointed about Vivint taking the money out of my checking account when I specifically told the sales rep that I absolutely did not want them to do that. I told him that I’d be happy to pay online, but they took the money out of my checking account anyway. Also, I’m not very happy because I had the system for less than a year and they charged me for someone to come out and change the battery. And it took a couple of weeks before somebody could even get here.

The sales guy was awesome and very knowledgeable of what he was talking about. I previously had ADT and he showed me the different things that Vivint offered that ADT didn't. What I liked most was the video camera and the doorbell feature. He convinced me that Vivint was the way to go and I'm not sorry for choosing Vivint.
I initially was very pleased with the work that the installers did but after the installation was done, there were some issues with the backdoor and the keypad entrance. The installer told me that he was going to get the part that he needed and will call me in a couple of weeks when it came in, but he never did. So I ended up calling and having the pad removed completely. A different guy came back to try to figure out what was going on. He told me that what they sold me was a product that they don't have in stock anymore. I felt I got the raw deal there but it wasn’t enough to make me want to discontinue the service. I just wish the guy who installed it would have told me that it wasn’t going to work. But I like the fact that when we had a bad snowstorm, my system held up good and the battery stayed like it was supposed to.
I would recommend Vivint because anything that I called about, their personnel helped me immediately. With the door patch, I had to wait a few weeks for them to be able to take care of it, but the staff reacted and were very friendly, always nice and courteous. Everybody has had a great attitude and very professional when dealing with me.

Your customer service reps are terrible. They tell you one thing and it is not carried through. I have had 3 appointments and 2 were not scheduled properly. The other, no one bothered to show. I was not informed that the appointment was cancelled.

Vivint's installation team was great. It took them a little longer than they thought it's going to take so they didn't leave my house until 11:30pm, but everything was done on the same night. I was impressed with the salesman's presence and the tech guy was really nice. When we ran into a couple of hiccups, he told me he'd come back the next day. But I told him to just try to get it done now. So the decision was mine, not his, but he did a great job. I like the alarm systems but calling them back when there are issues, that is the problem. My thermostat quit working because I have some bad wiring, which wasn't their fault. I'm paying for a thermostat I'm not even using so somebody's supposed to call me back and maybe adjust or get me a camera but nobody ever called me back.
I know their company is new in our area so there might be some hiccups but I finally got it to work. Maybe they could see on the panel that it's working so they didn't follow up on it. Other than that, everything else is fine. Anytime I'm having technical questions, they've been great about answering it. I do love that when the doorbell rings, it rings on my phone and I could see who's at the door. I could go to the panel and set the door. That feature is absolutely loved. I also like it that when my dog comes in the bedroom in the morning and wants to go outside, I don't have to go down the hallway and hit the disarm because I can just use the app on my phone.

Vivint's service has been really good. I had ADT before and in comparison, if there's a situation, Vivint is on it immediately. I have motion detector, carbon monoxide, fire and glass breakage as security features, and along with these are two cameras. I have had a rep come by and check the quality of installation and when I had a situation where the power went out, Vivint's rep walked me through with the screen on my keypad, on how to reset it so I can get out of the house.
The installation guys seemed to be very efficient, although I had to tell one of them that I was not pleased with how they ran my wire in my garage. Other than that, I've been happy with everything they've done. I did have another sales representative in the community after I have had my system installed and had them come in, check out my system and also take pictures of what I was not happy with so they could use it as a teaching tool for installation in other places. They took a picture of how they ran the wire in my garage as a "this is not how we do this." which was neat.
Overall, the Vivint team was professional. They bought out the contract of my previous security provider. I was closed and it wasn't a huge amount of money, so I appreciate that. Comparatively, price-wise Vivint's the same with my previous home security as far as the monthly price plus I have more features such as my cameras.

The sales representative from Vivint came over and we discussed the system and what we needed. But, the guy that came and did our thermostat set it to the wrong setting. So instead of using the heat pump on the air conditioner, the emergency electric coils were used which was costing us a load of money. We didn't realize that until it had started getting cold. However, that would not stop me recommending Vivint to people because the alarm, the app and the watch is good. The panel is okay and the doorbell works. So overall, I'm happy with Vivint.

We had moved into a new home that previously had ADT in it. I called ADT to try to get them tell me how to arm and disarm it without the monthly monitoring service, and they straight up lied to me and they wouldn't let me do it. Then, I was walking over to talk to my neighbor and she was a current Vivint client. One of their reps was over there talking to my neighbor, and I mentioned that I was looking to get a new alarm system. So, I went with them. All their sales representatives have been very pleasant to deal with and as helpful as they could be. The installation team was also very quick and efficient. One of the things that I didn't like about it was that my back door sensor has not been working for some time now. I've called and the lady I talked to was pleasant and polite. The follow through was an issue but every time I call, they do have very good customer service.

I did some homework before choosing Vivint and most reviews had them in the top 5. The drawbacks they "said" were that Vivint was too expensive and their customer service wasn't that great. That is definitely NOT the Vivint I experienced. The field rep was professional and installed everything perfectly. The technology exceeded my expectations and I can manage everything on my phone. The price was very comparable to ADT and others too. I know friends that use some of Vivint's competitors and they pay almost the same monthly price as I do, plus they had to pay hundreds of dollars for installation and they don't even have automation devices. I can assure you Vivint should be rated number 1 in my books.

I chose Vivint over another provider because Vivint seemed to keep over the technology better at that time and price was pretty reasonable. Also, I could adjust my thermostat with the mobile app and that was very important to me. Moreover, the sales representative, installer, and customer service were excellent. I've never had an issue with anything that's never been resolved immediately. I'm very satisfied.

I knew about Vivint because my sister has it. The guy who came out to set-up the system was really nice and helpful. He showed us how to use all the equipment and make sure we were comfortable with it. We had a false alarm not too long ago and they've all been good interactions. I really feel safe now that I have them.

My nephew was friends with somebody that worked for Vivint who installed the system in his house. I liked it so I got it too. I have three cameras on the inside of the house. I also have one motion detector, one fire detector, the fire alarm and then I have some of the windows and doors. I just have 2 things I didn't like. I asked for one camera in the front and one in the back of the house. They want $2000 for each plus $2000 to install it. I can go to a place and get cameras for the front and the back but I'd rather have it together with my Vivint alarm but Vivint is not giving me a chance to do that because of the cost. I'm already paying $69 a month. That's a lot because I was only paying $35 when I had Protection 1. I already called Vivint a couple of times and there's nothing they can do for me. I know at the time of the installation if I wanted the outside camera, it would have probably been a lot cheaper but I couldn't afford it at that time.
The guys that sold and installed the alarm were okay but I was having a lot of problems with one of the inside cameras that was supposed to be on my window upstairs facing the driveway. The installers came over a few times and finally a girl came over and told me that that camera was not designed to be there that's why it was not working, I have to keep that camera inside. Other than that, I like the two cameras inside, the one outside, the one in my doorbell, and the camera that I have. I'm happy with Vivint because every time I call in, they're really nice and they always try to help me as much as they can.

Our door camera has had issues from day one. After I think 5 service calls Jason fixed the problem by just giving us a camera by the door and not in my door! Jason is brilliant!

I have the doorbell camera and garage door opener from Vivint and I like their system. Everything was good with the installation team, too. Interactions with the people that I was dealt with in person at home were fine but interactions with the actual company suck. Their customer service was hard to deal with. They got the billing wrong and took me six months to finally get them to bill me the right price.

I’m very satisfied with Vivint. The initial salesman that came to my door was awesome. Not to mention, the installers were great too, however they thought it was just going to be a quick installation but they ended up being at my house until 2:30 in the morning because everything that could go wrong did go wrong. But they just kept plugging away and they were excellent. I also like the quick response and how modernized it is. I'm sitting at work then my phone beeps and I can see from my phone who is at my doorbell. I haven’t experienced that with any other security company.

I happened to be out sitting in my garage and one of the Vivint reps was walking around the neighborhood. I told him that if he comes back the next day that I was switching to Vivint if I can get a lower cost on the monitor. I had ADT for years and their price just kept going up. I just had a regular ADT service with the motion detector that was an old pad with numbers on it and it wasn't touchscreen. So, the Vivint rep came back and I switched over to Vivint which was $15 a month cheaper and I got more stuff. I locked myself in the 5-year contract so the price wouldn't change. I got the doorbell camera, the temperature thatI can do the from my phone, and I got the breakable device because my den is in the sun room where a lot of wind gets in. The box part of the system where you do everything- turning it on and off, is self-explanatory so it's not so hard to use. Service is excellent.
The people that came and installed the system the same day explained everything. They showed me how to put the app on my phone. I went from an old-fashioned system to something that was computerized so they also explained the switch button. They did a test on my doorbell camera to make sure it was in focus, where it picked whoever was at the door. The representative was nice and did a good job explaining the system.The installers knew what they were doing. I love Vivint. They did a really good job.

The batteries to my door knob were dead. I could see well enough to change them. Vivint staff came to my house, updated my system including batteries, checked that - all was functioning, responded to my request for education on changing access codes and installing new batteries. We revised app functioning. He was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. I'm secure once again.

Since we thought they were interesting, we got the doorbell camera and sensor included with the service package we purchased from Vivint. So far, the service was okay. However, I called Vivint several months ago because the system always says that the front door is unlocked when it’s not, and they never called back or done anything about it. The sales representative was very good, but then he dropped off from the face of the earth when there was a problem. The installation team on the other hand were very friendly and knowledgeable.

When we first got our security system from Vivint, since neither one of us was familiar with it, the response of their staff was very speedy whenever the alarm went off. For the first month through sixth week, it was pretty rough, but they were very quick. I know some people that have had other security systems and when I tell them how mine is, they would say they don't have this and that. It's a good system and they're impressed with it. The rep explained the service levels and with things he didn't know, he called and got the answer. Moreover, the installation team was speedy but very informative.

I travel a lot and it felt like Vivint, which my daughter was using, was a good security to have. I have cameras, thermal access and the doorbell camera from them and so far, I've been satisfied with the service. The sales rep was professional and knowledgeable and their installer was on-time and efficient at what he did. My only dislike of the experience is we had asked back then for a sensor for our garage door and they were to return with that but they never did. Apart from that, it has been very good service by Vivint.

I've never had an alarm system before. I liked Vivint when it was presented to me and it wasn't a whole lot of money, so I got their system. I also like the doorbell camera and a couple of other little things that come with it. There's a lot of people in my neighborhood that have their system. The sales rep was very nice and he's good at what he does. I also loved the interactions I had with the installers.

The sales rep was great and the guy who installed the system was quick. They both did a good job. The package I purchased from Vivint included a doorbell camera, wireless camera, motion sensors and the SkyControl because I liked these features. Everything's great and the service has been excellent.

Vivint's service has been good although there are times when their alarm doesn't set or disarm. Then we had an episode two weeks ago where the fire alarm went off and we have no idea why. I also didn't like that it locked me out of my house just because the batteries are the ones that open the lock. So I had to call a locksmith to come and undo my doors. Honestly, I didn't think about asking Vivint's reps and I don't remember them saying anything about it. But they're the best. They were very friendly and nice and they did their job. I live by myself so I have the camera outside on the door and the protection on the windows. I enjoyed my experience and I'd recommend them.

Vivint systems has been better than I expected. We have the doorbell and indoor cameras, different detectors (smoke, carbon monoxide and motion) and the online thermostat. They are just for security and it is a good thing to have because of the way things are these days. Service is very good. The guys that came by were excellent and any issues were handled right away.

I had Vivint for 5 years. I never had a problem until October 2015. They told me my security panel needed to be upgraded immediately because it had little signal. They had me make an appointment for a tech to come to my home. Well, to make a long story short, after 2 months, 4 times of rescheduling and talking to three managers, I decided to end my contract. My panel never was upgraded.

From the knock at the door to the finished installation to the technical support on questions to the recommendation and installation of their equipment on our friends home this was a fantastic experience. Not only we get our monitoring for our pool area which we desperately wanted, we got to do it at a fraction of the cost. We called our insurance company even though we had a discount from an existing system and because of the added monitoring we received an additional $22 off / month. The system does take some playing with for the cameras and the technical support group was a great help in this area. With all that was offered how and the quality of the system, how could anyone say no to this. We feel much safer and can monitor our home from away. Thank You Vivint!!!

I called my previous alarm company to tell them to disconnect the system. They don't see any alarms going off at my house because it's been off. When there's a problem, I want my phone to ring. If somebody disconnects, I want them to call me within a minute and tell me my alarm popped out and ask if I have a power outage. So now we have Vivint. We purchased the temperature control, the front door camera, and some cameras in the house. The sales rep was super helpful and he knew what he was talking about. There was a problem installing the system and the installer messed up our air conditioner. He got it fixed up real quick. I am highly satisfied with the service. I recommended them to my neighbor.

My parents were Vivint customers so I’ve had a little knowledge about the company. The service package I purchased from Vivint includes the mobile app, cameras and the Space Monkey. I like what these features provide. I like using the Space Monkey, as far as storing extra data and keeping it off my computer and in a safe place. I like the camera monitoring system - I can view my home when I’m away and know that it records when people come in. I like having the mobile app to have full access to my home. They added the Smart Home feature and I like that I can control the thermostat and the temperature when I’m away from home. I’m highly satisfied with the service.
The sales representatives were very professional. They really cared that I was getting the system that I needed for my home. The only problem that I had with them was that they mentioned that I would get compensation for referring members to them. I did refer a couple of customers to them and still have not received anything in return for it. Other than the referral bonus, everything has been more than what I expected. I haven’t had any technical issues with the system and the billing. Everything’s been good, and I had a great experience.

I purchased Vivint's service package which includes the doorbell camera, the night vision cameras inside, the little monitor and the glass break so that my wife would feel more secure. So far, I like the services and I don't care about the high price. Their installation team was friendly, fast and professional. And, I've called their reps a couple of times when I couldn't get my camera to come on and they helped me. So overall, I'm content.

We have been with Vivint for a year. We were with a different alarm company before, but they weren’t doing very good so it wasn’t working out for me. My friend had Vivint and she really liked it and got me in touch with her representative. We then purchased our service package that includes the garage door opener, but there was some misinformation about it which is not a big deal. It also includes the locks on two doors, the doorbell camera, and all the sensors. We have sensors in every opening including the basement but not on the second floor. Most of these features were there with the existing alarm system.
The installer was knowledgeable, but there were a couple of things that he didn’t know about that we later found out. We like the system. It’s awesome and I really like the two-way voice communication. It has great potential with the security features that I heard were coming. I find it to be really pricey considering that there have been some hiccups that shouldn’t have happened. I knew it was the most expensive alarm company, and I still went with them. It's been a very satisfactory experience. I really appreciate Vivint, and I feel better with them here than anybody else.

Before Vivint, I had ADT and it's like night and day. Vivint is leaps and bounds better than what I experienced with ADT. The sales rep was great. He answered all my questions very clearly and concisely. I had very little to worry or wonder about after he and I were done talking. Same with the installers. I was very comfortable with what they were doing and how they conducted themselves. All my questions were addressed.

We were looking for a better home security than what we had so we went with Vivint and we're very satisfied with their service. We got the cameras and monitoring included in our service package. The guy who did the installation was very knowledgeable and helpful. The sales rep was a little bit hyperactive and all over the place but she got the message across. We got our fire alarm, cameras, doorbell, window break, and motion sensors from Vivint. I am very pleased with their service and it makes me feel a lot safer. I like the fact that even the steam from my stove sometimes sets off the fire alarm. Whenever the alarm goes off, the reps who call are very polite. I had several of their installers come in and they were awesome, very well-mannered, young guys. They were very courteous, and that's what I look for when anyone comes in my home.

I travel quite a bit and I thought Vivint was a good thing to give to my wife while I was gone. The installer was very professional. He got it done super quick and installation was a breeze. We have all the window breaks and some other security cameras. We're still not used to having it so it tends to go off quite a bit when we walk out of the house with it set, but we haven't had any problems. There’s a sense of security.
Vivint's staff have all been great. Anybody that comes on and talks has always been super polite and nice. And they always help out as much as they can. I've always been skeptical of choosing a product from somebody that just shows up on my door and not doing any research, but Vivint made me a believer of their product. They’ve got some good sales people.

I'm not happy with the service from Vivint. They've told me the interior of my house is 100% alarmed. Their salesman told me one thing and I believed him. Then I found eight months later that three different things weren't the way the salesman told us it would be. So I called them and said, "Hey, I got on the Internet. Unless you got these items after I got my system, why don't I have these items?" They said, "Well, according to our records, you do have these items." And I said, "Well, don't look at me. On the computer, it says I can just push a button and my front door will unlock. Well, that never happened."
Another thing was the front door lock that's there now was on a back door going out to the back. They told me, in order to sell that lock, that's where it had to be. They said, “There's no reason can't be on your front door.” I call it in and tell them I want a service call and they tell me it'll cost $49.95. I said, "Why? I think $60 a month for the unit is a lot of money. You've got me into a contract. It hasn't even been a year and all I did was listen to your salesman as to what this thing would do and it's not doing it."
At first, they said they'll send a guy in three weeks but I said it's not good enough for me. I was told and introduced to a guy in my house that was living in the area to take care of these problems. Apparently, he's either gone to a different area now or he doesn't exist anymore. They finally got a guy to come out from Missoula to fix that problem by switching the lock from the back door going up into the backyard to the front door.
Then there was another lock that wasn't right. They tried two and three different people to hook that garage door up with our box and they could never really get it. We didn't understand why they couldn't get it. I called Vivint and told them that I've called on this and I'm supposed to get all these phone calls back but I haven't gotten one. We've heard back from them but nobody does when they say they'll call back. The customer sits here for weeks, maybe even months assuming it's in the works to either have somebody call for an appointment because that's what they told me but they never did since they never got the work I needed them to do put in.
When I was calling for help, I even had a guy say that I can't get out of this contract. The attitude of, "Well, here's the deal. You gotta buy out your contract." I haven't even had it a year! What do you mean I gotta buy out my contract? So I said to this person, "Look, if you guys keep jacking me around and I talked to three different now, two of which one didn't push the button to send it to the work order and the other one never even put the thing down but I got their names but you don't know them, that's pretty poor."
My salesman sat right at my house and made it a point to take my money out of my checking account. I don't mind that but when I call saying I got a problem, don't tell me it's gonna cost $49.95 just to send somebody out, not when you didn't produce what the first guy said they would produce. And it's my fault? It just seems like it's almost a money thing for some of these folks. First of all, they get me to sign a contract for 60 months and then the guy's reason why they put this lock on our back door for the backyard is because they couldn't get it to work right on the front door. I'm thinking in order to sell that lock for $5 a month, they didn't want to put it back in the box because then they lost five times 60. They finagled us to accept it on the back door.
They've got a good product but I'm not 100% sure everything is covered. We trusted them when they said we're good to go. I even thought maybe a suggestion would be to get the salesman together with the mechanical guys and let them talk back and forth. If it doesn't work, don't just tell the people everything is fine and turn around and leave. That's when they need to call us or somebody that knows what's going on, on how to put this stuff in, what problems they've incurred. Don't just tell the customer, "Everything is good. See you later." We're paying top-dollar and when we're getting the runaround like that and the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing, it's not worth the money. I can get a $15 a month system that maybe I'll get the runaround but it's not costing me $60.

We thought it was good to have a security system so we got Vivint's service package with camera in it. However, I don't know if it's working because most of the time it's not attaching to my phone. I have problems with my phone. I asked my husband if he's getting pop-ups when somebody comes to our door because it usually goes to the phone. So we don't know if it's just a connection or if we need to be reconnected to the phone. Therefore, I can't use my phone half of the time to alarm it or disarm it. That's the only issue I have. But I would definitely recommend them. So far, it has been a good experience.

My Vivint package includes the doorbell and living room cameras, along with the door and window alarms. The devices work well so far and when the alarm goes off, I get a notice from them. Their installers were good and their reps have been great, too. They do know that I'm having problems with the device now because I'm unable to view video clips and when I called them about it, they said it might have something to do with my cell phone coverage.
