I love the service provided by Vivint. I just had some issues with the install at the end of it. The gentleman that did it went over everything in the beginning before he started installing and I approved of everything that he had. But when he concluded, they said that I was supposed to have a Space Monkey and there was supposed to be an installation charge which was not on his iPad when we started. So he was on the phone for about an hour trying to get it all straightened out with how many people they transferred him to. And since then, I’ve spoken to a few people and they’ve transferred me to about six other people trying to get it straightened out.
Vivint had to have someone come out and fix or exchange one of the smoke detectors because it wasn’t working properly. And at the end of that install, the gentleman was on the line again for about 40 minutes trying to get everything straightened out. But the two gentlemen that came out were fabulous. I’m just not sure why things were changed in the process of from when he started installing until the end that, and why there was the concern after he exchanged the smoke detector.

I called Vivint last year for a security system. I wanted indoor and outdoor cameras along with traditional door/window sensors. I was reassured there is no drilling, THAT IS A LIE. They also told me multiple times that the system is wireless. Technically yes it communicates with the panel wirelessly but the cameras do require a power cable. This may be common knowledge to some people but the reason I called Vivint is because I'm not in the business of installing security systems. So where I wanted my cameras now had to change because I needed an outlet. Also when they install the panel they drilled through the drywall of my newly remodeled kitchen to plug the panel in. This I was totally unaware about until it had happened. Then when I talked to the tech about "outdoor cameras" he said "Just point the interior cameras out a window." Well all they film is glare.
So I have holes in my wall, I never got outdoor cameras and on top of that my indoor cameras hardly ever record anything. I've walked through the camera adjustments many times with tech support with no resolution. I called today to see if they have outdoor cameras now available because the tech said true outdoor cameras were coming soon. Their response YES! They do finally have outdoor cameras but at the cost of almost $500 a camera!! On top of all that I have a contract with them until 2018, so I'm stuck with this system that doesn't even do what they claimed it would from the beginning. To me their system never held up its end of the "contract". Save yourself the headache and go with a company that delivers what they advertise and doesn't lock you into substandard service for years.

When I first heard about Vivint I was worried that you guys' prices going be big, but you guys set me up with a promotion that I only pay 60 a month for a whole 60 months. I love your guys' support. My sensor went out. You guys came out and fix it for me for free and gave me a month free. Thank you guys. I love you guys. I will be a long time customer.

When I say Darryl ** came to my home to install my service both times he went above and beyond his call of duty. I think he should do training for the other techs. He was wonderful.

Everything has been great so far with Vivint other than the one smoke detector going off randomly in the middle of the night. We have the video monitoring, the light switch that turns our light on and off when we unlock and lock our house, the overhead door, and the fire monitoring. We like Space Monkey, being able to use our phones to turn up our heat and turn on our air conditioner and lock the doors. There were two guys here for the majority of the installation and they explained everything very thoroughly. They got everything set up on our phones and computer. Our sales guy was really awesome. He came back a couple of days later just to make sure if we had any questions or concerns.

I decided to purchase Vivint's basic features and the pendant for emergencies. Their installers put the unit in and explained quite a bit on how to use the system, but I didn't really comprehend everything that they were saying. Then a young lady came out and further explained how to operate all the features, and I'm still learning. But so far, my experience has been fine and I've already recommended them to a friend.

We used APX alarm systems and then they transitioned into Vivint. I really like the service for my medical alert system. I have a medical condition right now so if I collapse I can just press it and it will inform Vivint so they get to coordinate emergency service to come to my home. I'm very satisfied. My interaction with their sales rep was not even stressful at all. He was very careful to listen to our needs instead of just selling us an alarm system and just focusing on a commission. He was more of a really getting to know the necessities that we needed as a family to make our home a much better-equipped for emergency situations. Like, the first one is my medical issue, and then, the second one is home security.
The app that I am using right now gives me that peace of mind because sometimes I leave and I don't know if I was able to lock the door. I can just easily check through my phone if the doors were locked. I can easily lock the door through my phone and arm the house and check on it with the web cam. It's really very helpful. It's like a smart home right now because of Vivint. And I have been recommending Vivint to my friends.

The technician was extremely helpful with installation of new carbon dioxide detectors. He also went the extra mile and checked our entire system. He fixed our disabled smoke alarms and ran a full system's check. He had fantastic customer service skills. Informed us of upgrades that might help us maximize our experience with our home alarm system.

I live alone and was looking for a security system. I went with Vivint and got a service package that included doors and windows monitoring and motion and smoke detectors. Everything went fine and quickly during the installation. I'm completely satisfied with the service.

Vivint is excellent. I got their automation, surveillance, and burglary detection system. Their sales rep was very friendly and very professional and the individual who did the installation knew exactly what he was doing. They are the best alarm company in the country. Everybody should have Vivint.

The house I moved in has Vivint and I continued the service. The price is a little high, but they gave me a $10 discount per month for me to continue. I have the window-break and door sensor. The system always says that one window is open, and Vivint sent me a new sensor, which I don't think is the same one as the one we have, but is still working.

Vivint is on the ball and the response time is much better. When the alarm goes off, they call. When I call them, I don't have to wait. Although I like Vivint, the way I got it was a little underhanded. I had ADT at the time and the salesperson came and said he was upgrading my ADT system with a new box and everything else. So I did that. Then I realized somewhere down the road that I no longer had ADT and now have Vivint. So I had to cancel ADT. I called the salesman on it and he didn't know what to say. My husband and I numerous times said, "So we're just upgrading?" And he was like, "Oh, yeah. It's just an upgrade." But it's a whole new system. But the service is great. Love it. I would recommend Vivint now that I have it.

I just want to tell the world and the city of San Antonio that if you need a system Vivint is the way to go. Both of the guys that came out to my house were great and know what they were doing. I was in bad shape because they had just broken into my house and my daughter was alone. But they took care of everything and put a smile back on my face!!!

My Vivint service package included two cameras, two power sources that can be controlled on and off through the app, and the normal monitoring of the doors and windows in the house. I do have a carbon monoxide monitor and also a window breakage monitor. The Vivint sales representative was sharp, good, and well-trained. The pricing was pretty much half of what I was paying anyway so I got more for the same cost. It did require a seven-year contract though. The installation happened the same night and the team was good. I’m very satisfied with the service so far and I like the way they respond. I actually had an alarm go off and they handled the event very well.

We got involved with Vivint some time back when Vivint wasn't its name yet. We had all our windows and doors done and then have the alarm. The service so far is fine and their sales reps have been knowledgeable, explained the service levels, and were easy to contact. Everything’s going pretty well.

We’ve got doorbells, cameras, smoke alarms which worked really well and screens that lock from the inside from Vivint. The installers did everything they were supposed to – only they switched the wires for the back door and the front door so when I open the front door, it tells me the back door is open. It's not a big deal and I’m really satisfied. The people were really nice and the few times that I have accidents, they called right away over the intercom to find out what’s what and I’ve been really happy.

We have a smoke alarm, a door alarm, a camera, and a security in the garage door entrance to the house and the back sliding door. Their sales reps from Utah who came in my neighborhood and demonstrated the system were very professional. Their installation team was very nice, too. They’re friendly young guys. I’m happy with Vivint.

I’ve had Vivint for seven years already. I had a problem and they wanted to put in the new smoke detector and charge me $50 for it. I balked so they said, “Well, if you will sign up for three more years we will put in a smoke detector for nothing.” The service is great. They treated me all right and took two months off. The installation team were good people. I can talk to them. They know what they’re doing, take care of me, and move on. However, talking to other people sometimes is a little bit troubling. One time, I had to call them because my credit card has been compromised and so I got a new card. I wanted to call them but I couldn’t get in. They put me on hold for 35 minutes at a time and so finally, I just quit trying. I thought they’ll find out when the card’s no good and they’ll call me and they did and it was taken care of. But this last time I called them, I got in right away so they’d made some improvements in that regard.

I was considering upgrading my security system, so Tyler's visit could not be more opportune. As a Sales Representative, he was very nice and he explained in detail all the advantages of Vivint, so I decided I wanted in. I thought the installation would be a few days later, but no sooner did I agree to upgrade, Kendall, the Installation Professional, arrived. He was very nice, too, and he got everything ready. He explained what we needed to start using the Security system. My family and I are very happy and grateful to Vivint, for having such a good service and such fantastic team members, Tyler and Kendall.

I've got the doorbell alarm, inside camera, all windows and doors, the garage door opener, CO alarm, and smoke alarm from Vivint. So far, it's been working very good but once in a while I get the odd error message that the transmitter for the garage door opener signal gets lost to my alarm panel. But other than that, the two gentlemen that come to the new house I bought to reinstall it was very good. The only thing that annoys me sometimes is the app on my phone. When somebody rings the doorbell of my house, it comes off on my phone and sometimes that's very delayed. The video signal only gives that little circle that's like it's trying download. By the time I answer the doorbell, the person is already walking away so there's a delay with the signal somehow. But overall, Vivint is very pleasant.

We have Vivint for years and we have their door sensors and basic alarm system. I’ve been well satisfied with their service and I have no complaints at all. They called last week and they're courteous and friendly whenever they call.

I got the package with the doorbell camera, alarms, and motion sensors in the house and fire and CO2 in the basement furnace. So far, the service has been good. When I did an upgrade for the doorbell camera, I called them and they gave me a schedule when the guy would be here. It went really well. The guy came and he was on time and took care of it. He added the doorbell camera and upgraded the panel to the one that supported it. I would recommend Vivint, but I wish their prices would go back to the early 70s.

I was referred by a friend to use Vivint Security System to protect my home. I had to move from my residence, but my new residence was not ready yet. I called Vivint to send a service technician to take my alarm down. I am a disabled veteran and I'm not supposed to bend down because I have back and pelvic injuries resulting from military service. I told the customer service agent to please send someone out. She put me on hold for 32 minutes. I had to hang up the phone because I had a doctor's appointment. No one was sent to my house, so I had to take the equipment down myself and I was in a lot of pain. Vivint still billed my account after I asked for a suspension.
I called a total of 5 times and talked to the chat support and received the runaround. This morning I called Vivint and the customer service rep told me that they couldn't suspend my account or refund me. I asked to cancel the services since no one would help me. They said I have to buy out the contract or let someone else take over the account. Why would I recommend someone to Vivint if they refuse to solve my issue.

It seems as though my system simply needed only a "reboot". Bernie the tech took his time listening to my concerns and what I believed what was happening. He agreed and explained the technical part to it which was still a bit much for me to fully grasp, but we met in the middle of understanding. I appreciate his professionalism! Problem fixed!

I switch to Vivint after dealing with another security company (which was a nightmare). From the get go Vivint was professional, truly caring about me and my family and did whatever they could to make me happy. Drew ** in sale took very good care of me as well as both techs that came out!!! Their equipment is top notch but their customer service is even better. I plan on being a lifetime Vivint customer and upgrading my house with them every time some new technology comes out! I wish I could give them more stars but this is all it will allow me. Thank you Vivint for actually being a true to your word - honest company!!!

Vivint's service was pretty good. I got from them the alarm, monitoring and house alarm. However, early this year I started having problems with one of the front door sensors and this hasn't been resolved to date. I've had conversations with the reps. They've sent me three different front door sensors that I installed and activated myself with help from the technician over the phone. None of them work. The technician actually came out here and installed the fourth one, but it quit working six hours later. So I'm waiting for them to come back next week to install it again, and if this one doesn't work, I'll just cancel the service.

Upon contract renewal I was guaranteed 2 cameras, and the installation service. They left both cameras sitting on a table and counter and left without installing. Now they are saying the contract is valid, after they failed to provide service.

I've had great satisfaction with Vivint. I got their doorbell with the camera and glass breakage sensor. They've also put sensors at my doors and smoke detectors and alarms. Max, the sales rep, was excellent. He was with Tessa, a trainee, and she was nice. The installers have been very nice, polite and professional. When I once opened the door but had forgotten to turn off the alarm, Vivint has been very prompt to respond and they were right there asking me who I am. Their security system has given me more comfort knowing my house is secured. And when I'm in my house, I feel more secure if somebody's trying to get in. It's an excellent service and I've recommended them.

***BEWARE, DO NOT USE VIVINT*** We signed a Vivint contract almost 1 yr ago. Brady ** was the rep who came to our door. He has been with the company for a long time he told us. This is a hard sell type of deal they make with you in the evening hours at your house. As part of our "special" deal we were to receive a doorbell camera, interior plug in style camera and 2 outdoor cameras. When you sign the contract they tell you the installers are in the neighborhood and they can install same day. This is true for the panel, doorbell and interior camera. However we were told the outdoor cameras come later.
Weeks went by and we were told the cameras were on back order over and over again. Now they tell me it was never part of my deal. I have the text messages from Brady the rep where we discuss when the outdoor cameras will be installed and when. These are from the day of the contract and then again not even a month later he tells me they are still on back order. WHY WOULD HE TELL ME THIS IF I WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO GET THEM??
After sharing the texts with Customer Care a few days ago they said I have to pay extra even with the evidence. They won't even try and work it out, so now it's time to review my experience. Oh and BTW, our doorbell camera still doesn't work right and goes off whenever it feels like it and doesn't go off when someone actually comes to the door. Then just the other day our alarm triggered for the first time. Vivint called us immediately as they should, however they said that the cops will not be going to the house because we didn't have a permit on file. We never even knew we were supposed to have a permit with the local PD?? (which cost $$) It would have been nice to be educated on that matter.
I'm trying to get out of the 5 yr contract as we speak. My wife and I have not been pleased. My neighbors who signed up the week they came thru are having the same problems. Will not recommend to anyone. Use another company or don't commit to the hard sell in your kitchen without the homework. We made a mistake. REMIND YOU THE FIRST TEXTS MESSAGES I HAVE ARE FROM THE DAY WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT. Brady could not have forgotten the deal we shook on.

The previous homeowner had the Vivint alarm system installed. I have the windows and door sensors and the keypad. The one time a guy went out here was a couple of years ago to install new stuff. The Vivint team are wonderful people.

My wife had Vivint set up and we got a package that includes controlling the system with my phone, electronic locks, and the doorbell camera. Everything was good when the Vivint installation team came. Whenever somebody’s come out to the house to do anything, they’ve been very professional, very knowledgeable, and get it done. It's been a very positive experience.

I haven't had many problems with Vivint in the year that I have had them. I put in a call to have a tech come out because I had new windows put in and he reinstalled my window sensors and fixed the intermittent problems I was having with my garage door. He was very honest and courteous. A real pleasure to deal with. I wish more companies hired the caliber of people they do. Thanks. It was a pleasure.

When we were searching for a new home, we knew that we would install a Vivint security system based on the recommendation of my daughter and son-in-law. We've had some burglaries in the neighborhood and we were going on a two-week vacation. It was the first time there wasn't going to be somebody living in the house since there's always been relatives or somebody living with us. So we decided maybe it was time to have a home security system. We got the basic alarm system from Vivint, which we heard from our neighbors. We're very pleased with their service so far. The installer was very pleasant and helpful. He spent a lot of time making sure we understood everything and how it was going to work. One day, we had the maid come in and she didn't have a code. We got a phone call from Vivint, and everything was taken care of in a very expedient manner. We learned our lesson so that won't happen again.

We have the doors, windows, garage opener, fire detector, and smoke detector from Vivint, and I'm pretty satisfied. The only thing I've had problems with are the cameras. They went wrong twice, and had to be replaced.

I'm a widow and live alone so I got the alarm system and the emergency buttons for me to wear from Vivint. Their sales rep was very personable and helpful and had the system installed immediately. The installers were very professional. When I had one problem, Vivint was out here to fix it immediately. I've been very happy with the system.

The Vivint installation team put alarms outside my building, shed, and all throughout the house. I’m an old veteran and that stuff’s hard for me to learn but they showed me how to work everything. This one guy was real patient with me. He knew I wasn't as sharp as a knife but he took his time. Time Warner came to my house to hook up my TV, and told me that they'll get me security, so I should quit Vivint. I told them I'm not going to do that. The guys from Vivint were pretty nice. I like them, and would tell anybody that they should get Vivint.

My son was looking up some alarm systems and ran across Vivint. We then set up a consultation meeting and joined up. Everybody at Vivint has been very kind and professional. We have the basic package - three cameras, including the one with the doorbell. It has the standard motion detectors within the house. At this point, our cameras are going offline on and off. The doorbell's not working so I called Vivint the first time and they gave us a free month. I called their office and they sent someone over who tried to fix the problem. It was online for two days and then it went back offline, so the doorbell's not working at this point. Hopefully, they'll fix the problem today and we'd get the software up and running.

The team that installed the equipment was good and I don't have problems with that. However, lately I had three false alarms from a bad motion switch in the hallway. They couldn’t make it work and they finally had to take out. So my bedrooms, internally, are not protected. I'd like to have it back though, but they couldn’t find one that worked. It was going on all the time.
They put in a new one, and still I got two false alarms. There was nobody in the house, no pets, no wind, no air conditioner, nothing blowing on it. I was able to waiver one of them but not on the second one. I couldn’t handle that, so I told them I want it taken out because I couldn’t afford it. We're only allowed one false alarm and any more would cost me $500. I have motion switch in the living room that works fine, but I don’t know what was wrong with the one in our hallway. I'm not happy at this time. I know, it’s just a matter of time, I'm going to have another false alarm. Other than that, I'm satisfied with Vivint's service.

I was so unhappy. I ordered an upgrade. I was to pay $198 at the time I ordered. I was charged $298. Got a refund for the $100 four days later, but not without costing me $35 penalty for over limit. Then my camera did not work, which I was told was a "glitch" in software. They did not know when they could fix it. And finally a tech named Chad came and fixed it all. All is working fine. Thank God for Chad.

The crime rates are going up from where I live and there have been a lot of robberies so I decided to get the system from Vivint. We got the doorbell, fire alarms and window alarms, and their sales rep explained everything very well. Their installation team installed it quickly then they taught me well how to use it. It was easy, and I didn't have to call to ask anything. I like the way that I can be somewhere else and look at my home from the doorbell camera. Choosing Vivint was one of the most important and best choices I've done in my life.

I had a perfectly good alarm system. This gentleman from Vivint came into my house, told me that I need a wireless situation because burglars can cut the lines, which made sense to me. I said I wanted to check with my existing service because maybe they have something, and I just never had updated. Even though I kept saying that, he ignored me and then I got a phone call and I did something else. The next thing I know, these guys are going through my house, ripping into the old system. Obviously, we're not very aggressive people so I said, "Well, I guess we're getting a new system."
It turned out going into our existing system was near impossible for whoever these guys were. They told me they got everything tested. A month later, somebody from Vivint came out, looked very concerned, and informed me that none of our windows are alarmed. He said whoever installed it couldn't do it. That's the other thing that bothered me. You usually have a three-day rescission period when you make these kinds of decisions. They didn't even give me until the next day. So supposedly this guy fixed the system. I did have a break-in and I don't think anything happened when the guy broke the glass and came in. I had glass breakage thing in the living room area because there are a lot of windows there, but this happened back in the master's bedroom. The motion detector did pick it up so that was notified.
The pad is very sensitive, like you have to hit it with your fingernail. We had a friend take care of my house and without her knowing the idiosyncrasies of the system, she set it off a couple of times. She did like the lady who talked to her on the phone about the system. I had a miserable experience in the beginning. But as far as response in the last year or so, I've been satisfied with that. When we set the alarm off, Vivint responds and I appreciate that. But I feel like my whole system is kind of jerry-rigged now.

I have from Vivint the wireless window break, security camera inside and a door lock. They also replaced my old ADT hardwired window sensors. We had issues the first few months but they got it all worked out, so we're happy with them. The sales rep during the initial call were nice and I received what they promised. The installation team has been great too. They came out several subsequent times with the problems we had troubleshooting and were very caring about it. The technician that we have had out to our house numerous times has been very helpful.
There is one thing that I wish they would do a better job of. I see advertisements for new Vivint customers about new features they have, but they do nothing to sell the new features or provide discounts to existing customers. I would like the doorbell camera and so forth as part of the system that I could see on the phone who's ringing my doorbell, but nobody from Vivint was ever contacting me about that. We don't even get any update and because I'm on automated billing to my credit card, I don’t get any promotional information from them at all. But all in all, Vivint have taken care of us. I recommended them to my daughter, and she's installing the system as well.

When everything works fine, I love it. I enjoy controlling it from my phone and I can see what's going on from anywhere. Everybody I've talked from Vivint has been nice. There was a guy who came last year. He was nice and very knowledgeable. He had to change the panel out because the previous owner didn't have all the stuff that I had now. I got a lot of the free stuff because a lot of them was already in place. So when I activated it, they gave me the doorbell cam and some others.
But, there’s been a few little things I haven’t really been pleased with. I've called them a couple of times because it stopped controlling my heating and air conditioning. I tried to do the stuff they said and it still hadn't fixed it. The doorbell camera has been acting crazy too, like when somebody walks up where it's supposed to start recording and see anything but it doesn't. People can still walk up right in front of it and it never does anything. Now all of a sudden I'd get messages that somebody's at my door and there's nobody. It's like a car drives by and it will text that, but it won't text when somebody actually rings the doorbell. But other than those issues, everything has worked great.

I was pleased with first group installing components. They rushed to get rated before test were made to make sure everything worked and they broke my garage door and never submitted a work order to have it fixed. Otherwise if you ask to have something done that is appealing to the eye and not left to chance that it will hold they will do. I am happy in general with the work and the people that Vivint sent to my home to do work. They were friendly, trustworthy, hardworking and willing to do what was necessary to make system operate correctly. Again thank each and everyone who came to make sure all is well with my system.

My package from Vivint includes three door sensors for three doors, a panel on the wall, a camera, and a little light switch that I plug into the wall. The reps were very good, and the installation team did the best job. They cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. However, when my panel went down, it took them about a month to get out and fix it. That's the only complaint I have, but they've fixed it. They even went ahead and upgraded my panel, as well as give me three months of no bill on it. They were very good with me.

The first Vivint installer did a good job with installing the front doorbell video. He was unable to install the thermostat so we agreed to another camera for the back door. He did not follow up with that installation. Corey, the 2nd installer did a professional job given the challenges of our 90-year-old home. However, the outdoor tubing he used could have been better. I recommended Vivint to a neighbor.

I had a local security system, J&S Security, in my house in Florida. When the guys from Vivint came in and showed me what they had, I decided to go with them instead of the other security system. Their sales reps were really courteous and good. They discussed the system with me and tried every way they could to resolve the situation. Their installers did a good job doing what they were supposed to do and showing me what they did. Their price is a little more than what I like paying, but their service has been good. With the other security service, the price was about almost half of Vivint's, but I didn’t get as much. I've had approaches from other security deals too, but I hadn’t changed because the rate that they want is the same thing Vivint has gotten me.
With Vivint, I can do everything with an app on my phone. I can turn lights on and off and lock up the doors. I got cameras and I can see what's going on in my house while I'm not there. It also takes pictures like if somebody breaks and enters, so it's good and I'm very satisfied with the service. I'm in Virginia now and I sometimes let people go in and use my home down in Florida, and they get it messed up. So I get calls from Vivint and they’ve always let me know when something’s not right.

My experience with Vivint is very bad. Most of the time when my door lock is not working, I will call them and it will take forever before they send somebody. I’ve never enjoyed it for three months straight. I’m just waiting patiently for the contract to be over and I will be done.

We got the door alarm, glass breakage detector, and thermostat from Vivint. We then added something else the last time they came by, and would've gotten video cameras, but my computer was too slow to carry it. We were really unhappy with Vivint during the first year, but they came back recently and did a better job. They got things corrected, and we are relatively pleased with them right now.
The first sales representative was outstanding. Then another one came by, and we told her how unhappy we were, and she got us on track a little bit better. She was awesome. It was originally the technicians that were not sufficiently trying. They kept coming out to correct the problems and started charging us to come when it was never installed correctly in the first place. That's when we almost quit Vivint. Fortunately, the last technician that came seemed to know what he was doing and we got things corrected.

I won't review the system or customer service until I've had the system installed for a while. So far, the controls and equipment seem pretty intuitive and easy to use. I'll focus on the sales and installation experience. The sales rep did an outstanding job explaining all of the available services, equipment, and capabilities. She was very patient in answering my many questions. I think we sat together for about 2 hours!
Next was the installation team. Although it can often be only one person who shows up, I had a total of 4. They came in, were very professional and got right to work! They had to work around us cooking dinner and 2 kids running around and were very patient in doing so. They cleaned up after themselves. They were also polite and very clear on how they were going to go about the installation, including valuing my input on placement. After, they thoroughly explained how the system worked and verified everything was working properly before they left. I feel confident that I know how to use my equipment, and if their customer service is half as good as their sales and installation teams, I don't foresee any major issues if a problem should arise. Overall, outstanding attitude and experience!

The service package I got from Vivint included medical and fire alerts. But when I sold the house I had it installed, I had some controversies with Vivint, wherein they were going to charge me so much. But we worked it out and I didn't have any trouble when I told them I'd pay that amount for another contract period. So we negotiated a price. Then about a month ago, they upgraded everything. Now, we are about halfway through another contract.

I love the service! At the beginning, for some reason, the system would shut off about four times. Everybody at Vivint was always nice, and we got along well. They have a real quick response time. It’s interesting though that a bird hitting the window can set off the alarm but I had a tree fall on the house and it didn’t do anything. The doors are really where my worry is, if people shake it or come in it. Still, I recommend Vivint all the time. I’m buying a new house and I will probably select Vivint again.

I purchased door and motion sensors, and the control panel from Vivint, and have had a couple of occasions when the alarm has been activated. They have responded immediately and has resolved adequately. I've had problems with my door sensors and they’ve come to replaced them. Although they're not that close, I was able to schedule, and they came on time and did what was required. They have provided excellent service and I'm very satisfied.

If you're interested in thinking about getting a new security monitoring service or shopping, you're around for another one. This is one you really should consider. I called my old service to see what they could offer me, but comparing apples to apples. I believe I made the right decision. I had my previous security monitoring service since 2009 and I saw what was offered to me by the new provider. I made the switched after crunching the numbers.

The salesman that sold me the product told me things that were not true. The system worked for about a month, then slowly started to not function correctly. Made a call, late one night because it continued to become a worse issue. (Examples: The door bell camera wouldn't notify you until 20-30 minutes after detecting someone or someone ringing the doorbell. So that automatically makes the microphone to talk to the person useless. Who would sit there at a front door for 20-30 minutes?) They suggested an update. So we did. Worked for about 1 day. Started having the same issues. Called a few days later. Nothing new. I threatened to stop paying for a service that didn't work.
Stopped paying. Debt collectors called me millions of times. I explained what was going on. They hooked me back up with Vivint. Vivint finally admits there is something wrong, credits my account, and sends a technician out. Technician comes out and says that he will do his report and a Vivint representative would contact me about the issues. Never got a phone call. Debt collectors began to call again. Debt collectors hooked me up with Vivint again. This time they won't help resolve the problem due to a balance of $300. I refuse to pay this amount considering the service doesn't/hasn't worked correctly, so therefore the company will not resolve their problems with my system.
Here are the facts: The salesman lied to me about my cancellation time period. The salesman lied about the internet usage (this is important because our internet provider has a cap and charges overage). There is no external SD spot on the system. Everything works off of their version of a cloud system. The cameras were "offline" and didn't record anything at all at least 85% of the time. The cameras don't record very long, or at the right times. (You could literally slowly walk past the door, and it would start recording after you passed it.) There is a 15-30 minute delay from the time someone rings the door bell (or walks past the camera) before it alerts you on your phone. I asked several times for them to install the panel in a different room. They would not do it. It's right by the front door. If I go to the panel by the front door, the person sees me before I make it to the panel.
I understand that I am under contract. To them, they are spinning this to look as if I breached the contract. That is not so! They have not held their end of the contract by giving me the service that they should be providing for my $60 a month. They stopped being able to provide the service, so I stopped providing the money. I understand it would be different if it worked and I just stopped paying. VIVINT BREACHED THE CONTRACT FIRST. I will be sending a letter in the mail very shortly. If Vivint cannot either fix the system for it to work as intended, or remove the system, I believe I will have to take legal action. I will not be a debt hostage for a faulty product.

I have Vivint's automatic front door lock with the keypad, the doorbell camera, two indoor cameras, and two window sensors. There's also a sensor for carbon monoxide and the glass break feature. I saw that they had an option for the other cameras for the inside of my house, so that’s what I went with. These were my personal preferences, and now, everything’s running smoothly, although I can't say the same in the beginning.
At first, their sales rep wasn't on the same page with the tech as far as scheduling and costs. They were saying one thing and then it's another thing. For example, I initially wanted the garage opener, but the sales rep never explained to me that they have to see first if it's compatible with what I have. They don’t have this information, so they don’t know. But I went ahead and ordered the garage opener and when the tech was in my house trying for half an hour to put the stuff in, he realized it wasn't compatible. So stuff like that should have be addressed and the sales reps should know this.
When I initially had the system installed, it's supposed to go through my town inspection. However, I haven't been able to do that. The technician put the actual power source in my bathroom. It's GFI but it's not supposed to be there in the bathroom since it's illegal. So that's a big issue. They should’ve told me ahead of time that they were going to do that. I then called Vivint and told them that now I have to pay an electrician to move the outlet on the other side of the wall and further down. I told them that I shouldn’t be responsible for this and that they should reimburse me because it wasn’t my mess-up. I didn’t tell their guy to put it there. So now, I still have to get an inspection because I got to move the outlet, and I'm stuck paying for that when it's not my mistake.

We got the basic alarm and thermostat from Vivint. Any technician from Vivint that's come out to our house has been good. Also, the installers were quick, knew what they're doing and cleaned up after themselves. It was a great experience.

I can honestly say that both the sales rep and the installation tech provided great service from beginning to end. My service was installed in less than 1 1/2 hours later after purchase, as well as the tech cleaning behind themselves.

I've had a great experience with Vivint. When something is wrong with the system, their people get on top of it, and fix it pretty quick. I've also had false alarms, and they were quick in calling me.

It was a pleasant experience from sales to installation. I had an active security system and I wasn't looking to switch providers but Eric ** came to my home and his kind personality kept me engaged so he was able to start the conversation. I hired Vivint that day and the system was installed two days later and I'm already enjoying the added safety I get with Vivint. Highly recommended by me. I'm sure you can find cheaper but I don't think you'd find better. Loyal customer for sure.

We got Vivint's basic security alarm system, which has the feature that lets us know if the front doors are open or close. It also has the glass breakage feature and the video camera, which we love having. When Vivint's people installed the system, they did what they said they'd do and did a great job. They also cleaned up, and it didn’t take very long. The equipment was state of the art and it's great. When we've had a problem, they’ve taken care of it, and if we set the alarm off accidentally, we know they're going to come on that line and ask what's going on. That’s what we want. They came to our home again, we gave some referrals and there was a $50 referral fee, which was real nice. It was an extremely satisfying experience. We love Vivint and we recommend it.

We had a glass break sensor that kept going off. We notified Vivint and they responded immediately. The service professional was very confident and professional. He was willing to listen to all my questions and explained my problem. My mother was delighted to have such a pleasant young man on the service call. The entire experience from the sales rep who explained the system to the technician who installed the system was extremely positive. Our questions were answered and if we did not understand something, they took the time and explained things in detail to us. The technician took a lot of time with us to demonstrate the system and answer our questions. We are older people and are not up to date on the latest technology. We are very pleased.

The salesman was very nice, as was the installation team. The only issue I have with this process was the SPEED at which it "had" to occur. I asked to postpone the meeting to the next night because I was not home, and because I think that a commitment of this type requires time to discuss between husband & wife, but we did not have a chance to do that, not In a manner in which I would have been more comfortable. Therefore, the night turned into a 5 hour installation that we were not prepared for, and that I was not here for, and now I have to rush to cancel my existing security system before the first of the month. That... at this time... is my only complaint.

I got Vivint's inside and doorbell cameras, and I also got sensors on all of the building doors. The sales reps at Vivint have been very helpful and pleasant. The installation went very well, too. A couple of guys came out to install the system, and they were polite. We chattered and they knew what they were talking about. I got what I expected from Vivint and everything works.

After reviewing doorbell cameras I found out that Vivint provides one. It requires the upgraded Vivint Sky panel. My service representative, Tunta **, was just superb! He arrived early in the three-hour window provided, did a great job installing both the new panel and the doorbell, and took his time explaining everything and letting me check out everything. The doorbell camera is superb -- very clear color picture, allows two-way voice from my iPhone, and keeps a video record from the time someone approaches the door, which is great. Because so many parcel deliver people drop the package at the door and then ring the doorbell and leave, this will let me check without racing through the house to answer the door only to find no one there. And of course for security, it's second to none. And I like the new panel as well.

Vivint Security System is one that I highly recommend for the home. The cameras provide good quality views on a wide range. You're able to arm the system with confidence without having to rely on numerous numbers. We have had our system for 7 years. From day one we have never had a problem getting ahold of anyone and the system has worked for us a few times that we have needed it for fire. Most recently it detected a light smoldering at 2:30 am before it actually ignited and our hard-wired system that came with our home when it was built DID NOT catch it! The system tells you what area the fire is and the company is immediately live over your panel. It is so loud you can hear the personnel throughout your house. This system totally saved our home and will always give me peace of mind while sleeping and while away! If we had not been home they would have contacted the fire department who would have been here and saved our home. Thank you.

I've had Vivint for several years and I love them. I mainly have the security feature and the emergency thing. It was set up with fire detector too. I'm 73 years old and my handicapped daughter, who is 57, lives with me. I know that when we set that alarm, I don’t worry. Once it goes off, the sheriff gets here. When we do it accidentally, I would call Vivint and we'll be good. Their staff are great, helpful, and very knowledgeable.

Called regarding a concern with the system. They were able to set the field rep to my schedule. The field rep was very professional and courteous. Answered all our questions with common sense answers and did not use technical jargon to try and confuse the issue. I would recommend those looking for a home security system to go with Vivint. I feel my house is safe 24/7 and am able to get support when needed.

The sales rep was very good. He followed up and answered my emails when I emailed him, which was helpful. The first installer did a half-butt job and somebody had to come in later and clean up his mess. I have recommended Vivint to my son. They were supposed to give me a credit but it's been several months and I'm still waiting for that.

Very nice system! More bang for your buck! A full smart home security system, with cutting edge technology, that is priced a lot less than other systems on the market. Somebody from Vivint came to our door, and my husband took a message because he knew that I was wanting a security system put in our house. I was gone for a few days, and called them when I got back. We have a camera and two master locks included in our service package. Scott, the sales rep, helped me decide if we needed these features. I love the service. I'm 70 years old, so I had a hard time adjusting my thermostat a lot of times from heat to cool, which I have to call and ask for help. Then, my batteries went out on my door lock and I had to call and find out where to get the batteries. Also, we broke it as I'm getting the batteries out and I ordered to get the parts and Vivint sent them to me. The people at Vivint have been very helpful. They have great customer service.

I had ADT but I wasn't that impressed with them. And since what the Vivint sales rep offered sounded really good, I decided to get them. The rep showed up on my door and the system was installed two hours later. It was that fast. The installation team seemed to do a good job. They've put a camera in my doorbell and in my house. They gave me something I can use to turn the lights off and on. They also gave me a Space Monkey, hooked up all the windows, and put in glass breaking sensors. My two doors were not even hooked up to my old system and they told me that my old smoke detectors weren't hooked up to the fire department, which I didn't know. They then hooked all that up.
When one of the monitors in the door kept falling out, they came and fixed it. And when somebody stole my Vivint sign out of my yard because it had the light on it, they sent me a new one but didn't charge me. That was nice. I love the system. I could access it and turn my monitor and lights on and off with my phone. I’m working out of town and when I go home, I could turn my AC on and my alarm off before I get there. I'm very happy with it and I've been real pleased with Vivint ever since. That's why I've already recommended them.

We have the Vivint security system for a long time. I'm paying $70 a month for a service that I'm not 100% sure about. It's sporadic when the system tells me there's an issue or when there's none. I don't know if it's recording when somebody approaches the property. I can't see it on my phone. I don't know if my cameras are on or off. Moreover, I can't get a technician out here. When I call Vivint and ask for help, they want to have me do a technician's work and I'm not a technician, so I'm not very satisfied.
The police showed up at night several weeks back. My wife called me and I told her to answer the door. She wasn't sure if they were police officers or not, and it ended up being the county sheriff looking for a different address for a domestic disturbance call. She panicked because she opened the front door and the alarm went off, and nobody showed up, called or asked if she was okay. I don't think the system is working.

I was a customer for many years with Vivint. I paid my bills on time. They sent a technician to install an upgraded panel in my living room. It was out of level. In early January 2016 I was told that on 2-28-16 our house was to be sold. I called Vivint customer service and informed them of this. I said that the new homeowner may want to take over the account at that address. I was told by a Vivint representative that it would be no problem at all. "Just call us when the house is sold."
The house was sold and the next day I called Vivint and was transferred to customer loyalty. They said that I did not give them 30 days notice in writing with my signature. So now I owed another 30 days of service. They were angry with me because the new owner did not continue their service. Then they charged for another 30 days. This held up the process of closing the accounts on the house for 60 days. This is not good customer service. It is not good business practice. I doubt that you will post this for the public to see. I will not refer your company to anyone at all.

I'm not very happy with Vivint right now. I got the doorbell and two cameras from them but they promised me a monitor in the bedroom where I could hear the alarm from. When my wife's alone and in the bedroom, she can't hear anything going on in the rest of the house. Vivint said that they were coming up with one that did do that but that's been over a year and it hasn't happened yet. I also have a problem with the doorbell ringing without nobody even being at the door.

We have recently had two great experiences with Vivint. One with Sales Rep (Cortland **). He went out of his way to help us with setting up our upgrade. We would highly recommend dealing with him. The Vivint Technician was on time, very polite, efficient and thorough. He tried very hard to accommodate my service preferences. Even though it took him several attempts to be successful he didn't give up after the first try. He was patient with training me about the system. When he noticed I was having trouble with taking my old sign out of my yard he did it for me and replaced it with Vivint's sign. I appreciate his services and I'm very happy with Vivint.

The Vivint Team that came to our house were well informed and presented their program in a straightforward manner. Any questions we had they answered or if they needed to, got the answer. Our Vivint system was installed in September. There were multiple appointments and if someone did not show up, then they had to reschedule at the last minute then claim that somebody came. On the day that they set up my account, the camera was on as the guy demoed everything, and it was fine. However, my house was broken into the following night after the installation, and the camera was not on according to their indicators. Then a couple of days ago while I was traveling, my system had come offline.
My house isn't secured because it's in a maintenance mode. So I told the reps and they were fantastic, very courteous, compassionate, and helpful. They do follow up too. But with the system itself, I'm concerned that I don’t feel safe, which is the whole point of having it. I've had too many situations where it's not a consistent and predictable system. It disconnects from the front door, even though I hit lock and the codes. Even right now, the system doesn’t recognize the front door locking system. If for example my son needs to get into the house and he calls me, I can't unlock the door for him. It's not reading the door, although it does that manually. I paid a lot for the installation, around $600, but I am not happy with Vivint.

My contract with Vivint ended on April second of this year and I did not want to renew. I turned down all of their offers and I kept insisting that I no longer wanted their service. About 8 am almost every morning they call me with phantom alarm messages. I have asked them to stop but they persist with the harassment. Please don't use them especially if you are a senior citizen. I am 69 years old.

I asked for help for a panel volume problem. The panel volume was low for exiting and normal operation, but in the event of an alarm, when a Vivint call center member would call in and speak to me on a two-way call, the panel volume was ear-splitingly loud. They have to call in to verify who I am and if help is needed. That is good. However, customer service thought a tech could help me. The tech who came out was awesome! However, even he could not fix the issue. They texted two other techs and even called in for field support. Everyone explained to the tech that Vivint wants it that loud. If Vivint knew from the get go that nothing could be done, from customer service to tech support, we could have saved a Saturday morning and lots of irritation. Vivint needs to get all of their people on the same page. Instead, I am upset and thinking I need to shop around.

I've had folks at work ask me what alarm system I use and I do recommend Vivint. We're happy with them. It's a good deal and they get back to you quickly if anything happens. It's the first alarm system I ever owned in a home but I don't feel like I need to try any others. We have the doorbell, the crash sensor, the glass break and window sensors, and the panel that controls everything. The sales rep was very professional, honest and upfront with all the cost and the requirements regarding the contract. He explained the program and the monitoring system very well. When he didn't know a question, he didn't dance around it. He’d say he'd get back to us on it and the timeliness of getting back to us was good. There are several competing alarm systems out there and I felt that this young man did a fantastic job.
Their installer worked with us in terms of where do we want the things installed and had some recommendations. One of the features is the door lock remote. He worked on that too and changed our door locks for us at the same time. He had a hard time locking the deadbolt so he spent a little time to fix it to get it to work right and that was nice.

I got Vivint's basic package with the video cameras for convenience and added safety. Every time I call, the problems are resolved quickly and professionally. Vivint is a very good group. I have it for 6 years now, and I haven't had any problems.

We moved into a new house so we got Vivint. I liked their system and their sales rep was really good. The installer was also awesome. The only problem I have is they wanted us to recommend it to somebody and I did. So the very next weekend, I had family my down and Mitchel came back here and showed my niece all about it. She then bought a new house in Medicine Hat and got Vivint. I also referred my friend, Leland, and he went down there and got it. But he forgot to give them my name. Still, those are two referrals that I have given, and I should have gotten a referral thing, but I saw nothing over that.

A company that present professional people to represent their business makes or break them. I would highly recommend Vivint from how they handle an issue that I had. No hesitation. They sent their best to clean up someone else mess. I've had Vivint for over two years and the original guys left expose wire in my garage, now I should have called sooner, but ok I totally forgot about it. My husband return home after a year and was unhappy with the expose wires but forgot to call them.
Now this is going on the second year we had the system. It just so happen that a Vivint rep stopped by to recommend more service and my husband said he would not recommend or purchase any more products due to how the original work was completed. The rep was very professional and gave us guidance as to what needs to happen and also left point of contact. The next day I called the company. They sent their best to clean up the mess the next day and there was no charge. Thanks Alex for taking care of us, and we will totally continue to do business with Vivint. If you need it fixed and you are in Tx area make sure Oswald ** (Alex) get it done for you.

Thermostat install - On time, friendly, good install. Made sure I understood how to use all the features. Somewhere the scheduling got mixed up. Had a date of 4-22-16. They arrived a day early. Our Vivint package has about everything: a doorbell camera, some more cameras, an alarm, and a thermostat. The service has been off and on, though. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's bad. Additionally, the sales reps are not very good at some things, but they are courteous and they try to help. Nevertheless, I am very happy with the experience. I’m also very happy with the installation team. They came right out, did everything, and made everything work fine. They were very knowledgeable, too.

We had the doorbell camera as well as the motion, flood, heat and door sensors included in the service package we bought from Vivint and I'm definitely satisfied with their services. Today we received our new Vivint alarm. Our sales rep Brayden was very nice and spoke in a very professional manner. I invited him in and we sat down to talk about all our options for home security. He was very knowledgeable of his product and answered all of my questions clearly. When our installer Funk showed up the customer service kept getting better and better. He was very kind and professional, let me know about all my options for installation. Funk also gave me plenty of tips and ideas that would work best for my home security. Funk walked me through operating my new system and utilizing my smart phone with my security system. I'm very satisfied with the service. I hope the alarm works as good as its employees.

A gentleman came out doing door-to-door and he was wonderful. We got done with our sales guy about 10 in the evening and I thought that was the end of it. But the guys showed up and said, "No, we're here to install it." I was surprised that they were putting the system in because it was late at night, which was the only issue. But the installers were in and out real quick, and they got the work done about two in the morning. I got the package from Vivint with the smoke detector, glass breakage, camera and the doorbell. I also have the application on the phone so I can turn it on and off. I've had the system a little bit less than a year now and so far, I'm really happy with it.
We had a service rep come out the day before yesterday to fix the system because it was not working right. The gentleman took about half an hour to figure out that one of the wires had come out of the control box and was touching other wires, and that’s what was causing it to mess up. The only thing I didn’t like is the wait. Because it was almost 10 days before I could get it serviced, so I was without an alarm system over that period. There are a couple of features I wish they would add, and they should have a little bit faster process on repairs. But overall, it's been a wonderful experience.

I was happy with every aspect of this company, from the first phone call to the installation. I felt comfortable with the professionalism of all of your employees that I dealt with. I especially was happy the person doing the installation. He was on time, attentive to our needs and questions, was very patient when showing us how to use the keypad and all of its functions (which are amazing). I felt very comfortable with the installer in our home and was very happy with his work.

I have to admit that Vivint techs gave 110% in trying to fix the problem, after two different techs came out, they discovered it was a bad transformer. So, the problem is fixed and everything is in working order. I'm supposed to get a $50.00 credit for the month and a half the system was not working, we'll see if it happens.

We bought into the sales pitch because of the technology and free equipment Vivint offered. Specifically, the ability to view visitors from the doorbell camera and lock/unlock doors from our mobile devices. For over a month now the camera freezes, loses its connection to the panel, and the doorbell does not work. I called Vivint, spent 15 minutes on hold and 1 1/2 hours troubleshooting their equipment. Did not resolve the problem. They said they could send a technician about a week later. In the meantime no video, no doorbell, and no video clips being recorded (so much for the stuff we originally bought it for).
In the week I waited for tech support to be dispatched, I noticed there was a firmware update available, so I installed it. When the tech finally came, he spent 30 min. on site. Made some setting changes and determined everything was fine. 4 days later, same problem and now the panel keeps disconnecting from the WiFi.Again, I called tech support, and was on hold for 10 minutes and put on hold again after the person who answered was not knowledgeable with my specific problem. After 12 frustrating minutes on hold, I hung up. I never had to waste so much time with my previous home security company. The only time I talked to them was if the alarm went off and they wanted to ensure everything was fine. Vivint's product and service would be great, if it worked!

My friend told me about Vivint and I got the package that includes the sensors, the alarm and some cameras. The sales reps were knowledgeable and the installers cleaned up after themselves.

I have the doorbell camera, thermostat, and all the sensors on the doors and windows because I've got my three little kids and wife at home. The Vivint sales rep was great and friendly. Everything went well. However, I need to call them out because the system isn't working very well right now.

We had a door that would give phantom alarms. It would say it was opened when no one was there. We called for service and the Technicians were at our door within 48 hours. The original call was on Sunday and the problem was resolved Tuesday.

I feel safe and protected. The way Vivint responds to customers is timely and professional. I was cooking, the house got smokey, the alarm went off and seconds later they were calling to make sure we were alright. Thank You Vivint.

Alexis, the gentleman from Vivint who came out to install my system was very pleasant, helpful and explained everything to me. He cleaned up after himself and did a great job. I have the doorbell camera included in my Vivint service package. I also had the thermostat which I got rid of. And then I wanted the outside camera, so I put in the order, but it’s been back-ordered for a while and I haven’t heard anything since then. Additionally, they had told me one price and charged my account that. And then they came back and charged me twice for the same month, but I was credited for the next month, and now everything has been fine.

I recently had Vivint installed in my new house. The peace of mind knowing that I have access from anywhere and someone monitoring my house for burglars, and fire is priceless. The convenience of the automatic door lock, garage, and doorbell cam is awesome. Will recommend Vivint to everyone!!!

The technician that came to my home was on time, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I called Vivint yesterday about a new system and they were out here the following day. I haven't had this good of customer service from any vendor in years!

My experience with the technician went well. My problem was with the business office. After replacing 2 doors, we called to have the sensors replaced. After first visit I was told they no longer carried those sensors and I would have to replace the whole system. (I had the sensors and was just asking they be put back on). Loyalty program rep said it would cost $99 even though we had been customer for 8 years. I said I would then like to disconnect and they said we would have to pay early termination fee. After 8 years? I again mentioned I had the sensors and just needed them reinstalled. They set up another date with a different tech. This tech took the sensors and reinstalled them and tested them. Everything worked. Long road and lots of frustration. This experience caused a lost sale cause son was looking to have a system installed. He went with another company.

Since it’s the right thing to do for security, we got all of the features included in our service package from Vivint. The Vivint sales reps were great, and the guys who came to install were fine, too. We're good with them right now.

Our lock system is what not working and we were unable to use our code to open the door. Additionally, the bolt was catching, so there was a combination of problems that were attend to with professional efficiency.
