I was extremely skeptical at first to talk to the young men. But I asked for their badges and they were in Vivint uniform, so I let them come in. I already had a security system but was willing to listen. Very knowledgeable and very courteous men. After 45 minutes of an oral presentation and verbal instructions and information I was completely convinced about the company and the upgrade to their system. Good decision.

We very much like the system and what it has to offer. The installation guy that did our house was awesome! He was very professional in his interactions and even did things such as step around the corner while we programmed our security code so that he didn't see it. He was also very thorough in walking us through how to use the system. We have had a couple issues with the panel and it freezing up when trying to look through security clips but the customer service people were great to help us troubleshoot. The only negative is really the sales aspect. The agent was super pushy and honestly, if we hadn't already been shopping for a system I would have asked him to leave 5 minutes into his speech. He pretty much starts signing you up before you realize what is even going on.
We have heard from numerous neighbors that they were going to turn him in to the city because he was so pushy, came to the homes late in the evening, and made them feel pressured. We also found out from friends who got the system from another agent that their agent waived (or paid himself) the installation fee, when we asked our agent he pretty much told us that wasn't an option with him and they just got lucky. Kind of left a bad taste in our mouth for the sales aspect of your company.

It was fate! I was just heading out the door to take the dog for a walk and there was Nate standing at the entrance asking me if I had a moment to talk about home security. We had just moved in a short time ago and I'd spent the past few weeks sourcing out a company. Actually, Vivint was one of the top 3 I was looking at as I had heard about them through social media. I was most interested in what he had to share with me and I thoroughly enjoyed his presentation.
After about 30 minutes of conversation and walking around the house, I was sold! He had his team of techs at my home in minutes, not 1 guy, not 2 but 3 techs were here for a very quick and efficient install. All told, from start to finish, the experience was most excellent. I love the product, it's easy to use and I can leave my house in the morning knowing that everyone and everything is safe and sound. Thank you Nate and Garret (sorry, I can't remember the other two names)! A job well done.

Vivint is offered by the company that I am with so I'd gone ahead and purchased the monthly service. I got the package with the doorbell and indoor cameras. I like it, but I was not aware that there's a $25 a year fee that we have to pay to the police department for false calls. Other than that, it's good.

Initially I wasn't happy about having to pay $49 to get a technician out to install the new keypad as the original was malfunctioning, or free shipping and I would be installing it. After explaining my concern they waived the fee and had a technician the following day come by and replace the malfunctioning keypad.

Our home insurance costs did not go down nearly as much as we hoped it would with the new security system - it dropped only $14 per year. We got the system anticipating the ins. savings would help offset the costs - call your ins. co. first!

I just got my new home security system in and I was astonished with how good the service technician treated me well doing the install. His name is Jeremy **. I got Vivint's security system which includes the garage door automation and the doorbell camera. Having the system puts my mind at ease. The installer was great and everything was top-notch. The best part about it is the service that I get once the system is put in and the alarm goes off. I had some issues with one of the sensors being defective and the alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. It's one of those bugs people work out when they get a new system. When I go to the console, somebody is on there and it gets resolved real quick. The tech came out and it was fixed, as opposed to a system where they have to try to find me on my phone. It's perfect that it comes through the console. The only negative thing was that they kept calling me to try to get me to sign up but I already have their system. It was annoying 'cause I got these calls all day.

I have a friend who had Vivint so we saw the security system first hand. We have the outdoor cameras, the doorbell camera, the little things on all of our windows, so a little bit of everything. I like the product but the customer service sucks. The sales people pushing everything, people not showing up and once the installers got out and not communicating having the proper part. I have had the worst time getting people to come to my house to set everything up. I was going to call them a while back because we had the doorbell camera installed. They didn't show up twice and then they told me to call back to have Vivint remove the charges I was getting charged every month for the camera even though we had it, because of the experience we had. I didn't even go through with it because it's a pain simply trying to talk to customer service and not loving it. It's always been a disaster.

Not sure the system is worth the money at $66/mo. ADT way more reasonable and despite what everyone advised from Vivint, homeowners insurance doesn't get discounted. Also, have sent separate email about the Camera 1 installed. Still shows "offline" so please uninstall.

I have had Vivint for 5 years or so. First 2 years were a struggle. My equipment did not work - the alarm system did but not heat remote, couldn't see anything during the day with the camera unless you turned a bright light on, the remote lamp didn't work. I was ready to throw in the towel. I cancelled everything but the alarm system. They are finally up to speed. I can't say anything negative and I am glad I stayed a customer.

I called in on 9/2/2016 to have my current system ended due to purchasing on a home. I ordered new service to my current home. I was told ok. I later found out that I had to end my service by email. I did that. The old service is still on. You guys did not show for to install the new system. You were a no call no show twice.

I just recently bought a home that has the Vivint Security System installed (the system was deactivated when the sellers moved). When I got home, a button was accidentally pressed that activated the alarm system. I called the company, and they would not offer any assistance. I was informed that I would need the code for the system. I informed them, that when we closed on the house, I was not given a code nor did I have any contact information on the previous owners, as usually when you do close on a house you are NOT provided contact numbers. I advised to the Vivint employee that he could send law enforcement to the residence to verify that I was the new owner, or call and verify to the previous owner about the situation.
I informed the employee that I was a registered nurse and worked the night shift, and that it was also a Sunday. I also told him that they should have it on file that the previous owners had deactivated the system, secondary to them selling the house (especially since I know you are placed under a contract with Vivint, and from checking previously, they were still in a contract with Vivint).
I can understand the potential safety issue with this, but I would also think that due to the current circumstances, and knowing that the previous owners had just moved because they had sold the home, that the Vivint customer service would've attempted to help assist me with this issue. (I would also like to reinstate, that the system had recently been deactivated, so the only thing that was going off was the alarm system at the home.)
To Vivint: I had talked to a few people about using your services before I had closed on the home. Due to the cellular reception, I was having a wireless booster installed, and then I was going to have your company come out and then start using your services; but after not wanting to assist someone with a serious (and time sensitive problem), I do now believe that I am NOT going to place myself in a binding contract with your organization.

I would like my unit hardwired. When he said he was going to that outlet, I thought he meant behind the wall...not coming out of the wall with a plug-in. For such a high tech system, that's a MAJOR TURN OFF.

We got the thermostat, the external camera, internal camera and doorbell camera from Vivint. We also got the fire detector and three-lamp modules. We're highly satisfied with them. The sales representative was very easy to work with. I told him what my concerns were, and he made some suggestions. The installer was very professional. He handled everything well and explained everything that the system was doing. I came up with some alternatives 'cause there were a couple of issues based on the way the house is laid out, and it went fine.

We’re perfectly happy with Vivint. Their salesman who came through our area and knocked door-to-door was friendly and knowledgeable. He was also in close contact with the tech so he knew exactly what they were able to do for me. We got the service and then moved to a different home and they asked to upgrade the service for us. I'm 100% satisfied with Vivint's service and I've already recommended it to people.

I like having Vivint's alarm system because I have that application where if I'm not home and I hear or I think about something, I check my application and I can see what's happening at home. I got the key chain control and camera included with my service package. And I probably need to get one or two more cameras and I needed to know what I had to do and how much it would cost.
Their sales rep was very good. He convinced me to get the alarm system even though I thought I didn't need it but I think it's a good thing to have in the house. He also gave me some discounts so I could get the contract. It's been a while because I have this for over three years and I renewed with them again. They came and installed it. The only thing that I didn't like is that I was not told that I didn't have any sensors in three windows. When I renewed my contract, the guy that helped me said he was going to send somebody to install them. I was thinking my whole house is protected but the addition part had no sensors on the windows. They told me I was going to get everything but I didn't get those motion sensors either. So they told me that I was getting the whole package because I was the first one to get to sign a contract in my area and I referred three people to the salesperson that gave me the package.

He checked everything out and showed my husband and myself the functions and then had us to do them so that we had a clear understanding as to how the system worked. A really cool guy from Vivint came over, and since we had ADT, he asked us how long we’ve had it and what we liked about it. After that, he showed us what Vivint offered, and we liked it more and switched to them. We got the camera in the back and the doorbell camera included in our service package. We had a couple of installers come over, and they did really well. They were quick. Our experience has been excellent.

Met Celeste at the ACN show in San Jose, then Philly last weekend. Explained a few issues with my system that I've tried to resolve with customer service, then customer loyalty, took a reduction in service, asked for refunds or discount in field calls. But Celeste was a consummate professional! Multitasker extraordinaire! Buck-stops-here attitude. Understands and empathizes with every customer concern and DEALS WITH IT! Seemed every concern of the customer is also her concern. She made things happen and made them happen quickly. Cannot say enough positive things about Celeste. HUGE asset to Vivint. Restored my confidence in Vivint wanting to take care of the customer. Just about everything has been taken care of within a week and I couldn't have done it without Celeste!

I did a take over because Vivint was in the house I bought. It took way too long to get to the department that I needed to work with for my take over! I came very close to not using Vivint at all! I tried for over a month! That is too long! I did not have the code for the acct. Because the past owner did not share it with me. And your people kept asking for the code. I could not sit on the phone waiting for a Vivint department to answer for 20, 30 plus minutes. I finally got the first person that answers calls for your company to help me & got the first step done - an appointment for someone near my home to come to my house. That person was fantastic. Raull was great! Now I am set up correctly & love it!!

The technician left without installing/providing the following: Vivint window stickers (x4), Vivint yard sign, Light for yard sign. I made phone calls after phone calls but nobody called back. Horrible experience so far.

Some Vivint representatives knocked on my door one night. They were out at Utah and they came doing some promotions through the neighborhood. I was hesitant to allow anybody in my house but the salesperson Keith sold me and he was wonderful, really nice, very professional, and courteous. The whole Vivint team, from the salesperson to the installation team, was great and my wife and I are very pleased with the service. Everything in my service package is great except for the issue with my doorbell camera because sometimes when people ring my doorbell, I’m supposed to be able to access it through my phone. But when I pull it up, I can’t see the picture even though it tells me someone rang the doorbell. I don’t know if that’s an issue with my internet.

Vivint was in the area and I had a representative come in, and he told us about their system and we bought it. The installers were very helpful. They explained the whole thing and they worked real hard. I’ve got an old house so there were lots of wires in the wall and they had a tough time, but they didn’t give up. They got it all in and everything was good. They worked really well together and they’re very pleasant gentlemen. One thing that Vivint told us is that if we recommended the system to someone and they bought the system, we would get one month free. We recommended it to two people and we haven’t seen anything off of our bill. We should’ve had two months free that they did not take off.
We got all the doors, inside camera, and the door lock on the back door. I have it on my garage door also. I have the security tabs, and I really like that because I’ve been broken into in that garage and I feel good about having that. However, I’ve got four teenagers, so I had a little problem with them not remembering to disarm when they came in. I had it screaming one night and they called me. I’m upstairs and I couldn't believe I did not hear it. Other than that, the features have been great.

A salesman came to the door and introduced us to Vivint. We got the basic package where we have the doors, the windows, and the bedrooms covered. The installation team was quick. It was a team of guys who came in and knock it all out. It didn't take them more than an hour to get everything installed. The system works great and I can control my cameras back from my phone and I can check if somebody's at the door. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll recommend them to a friend.

I appreciated the tech trying to help me with a problem that we had with my mother-in-law's account. It wasn't resolved completely but it helped. He was willing to do what was need although the person in billing would not talk to him. He performed his job very professionally and left.

The alarm kept going off. It took 3 days for someone to get here to fix it. The young man was nice and knew about it but he didn't check the door lock to see if it was hooked to the alarm which it is not so I think I need to be compensated for this plus he didn't check my ac thermometer, I had to reset it.

It only took a week to get an install date, yet it takes 2 weeks to get a repair on a poorly installed unit that does not work properly. It works at the panel, but fails on your "Verizon" mobile device? Our front door has a 1/4" gap after the lock installation, you can see day light! I am totally disappointed, a company selling security show no concern for a system that loses contact with its primary contact. They think two weeks is ok? I would not do it again! ADT!

I have always been unhappy with the picture I was getting from my outdoor cameras. It had always been so narrow. It did not serve the purpose. I have been complaining about it but nobody seem to understand. It was very, very, very frustrating!!! I was about to give up and just wanted to have the camera removed. Then Vivint sent Richard. What a difference. Richard restored my confidence with Vivint.

We’ve been using Vivint for about seven years now. We upgraded, we moved from one house to another and had to have a new system put in. That was very easy and the technicians were very good and very professional as well. When I had some problems with some pieces of equipment, I called their guy and he called me right back. He helped me run through it and said he would get some new things in order and come take care of it. It was a very timely response whenever I had any questions or concerns. It was very easy to work with Vivint and they met the needs of what I wanted for my home system.

Now don't get me wrong, I’m VERY PLEASED with my home security, the access to the mobile app and the ability to monitor my home while I’m away, etc. What I’m not pleased with is the lack of response/customer service I get from the guy who initially sold me the security system, Justin **. I was treated like a King during the initial sales process. Once I paid my deposit, got the alarm installed and the 4-5 day trial period past I feel like I was just someone’s chance to get commission or quota! I emailed him once regarding my concerns over some of the basic equipment and other things. After his 1st (12 word) response to me I have not heard one word back from him and I sent him 2 or 3 additional emails after that! VERY DISAPPOINTING! I still have a couple questions/issues I would like to ask but I know now I can't rely on him!!!

The system is expensive and very hard to use. Even though Vivint put videos we could not get a low battery alarm off without changing the batteries right away. Tried calling and was on the phone for an hour, and was passed from one dept. to another. We also have cameras that never worked right. Anything you want changed cost a lot of money, so we are stuck with a bad system. I had to signed a 3-1/2 year contract and cannot get out of it. Do not sign up with this company unless you want to pay twice as much for a security system, and are willing to stay in it for over 3 years!!!

This system has been easy to use, though I came in the front door once without setting it off. (Possibly, didn't set it properly.) Shouldn't a sensor have been placed on the back door? That's where the burglars came in three years ago.

The technician came out at my convenience and was extremely patient and helpful. My home is really old so we worked together to make it work best for me. This system is ridiculously easy to use and I'm not tech savvy at all. I feel more secure than I ever have.

I had my Vivint installed almost a month ago and LOVE it. Knowing I'm secure in my home gives me great peace of mind. I would have to say my favorite part about Vivint is the doorbell camera. It's convenient to get a text message every time someone rings my doorbell. In addition, it records video when someone drives by or pulls into your driveway. I love my Vivint!

I have two glass breaks and doorbell with the camera in the service package I got from Vivint. I also have three doors that have the system on them that tell me which doors are open. The sales representatives were very helpful and worked very well with me and understanding of what I needed to do with my new equipment because the door sensors I had were the old ones that went inside the doors. The new ones that I got were the ones that stuck on the doors, so they were different than the other ones I had. They helped me install them properly and made sure that they work for me. They have a very friendly service and I'm very pleased with my entire system.

I asked Vivint to send a technician here because my basement and office where I run an accounting office from, was flooded out and had to be stripped down to the cement and fixed. It took 3 months and I was unaware the contractor and his worker had removed all of my alarm sensors and mostly disarmed everything. My alarm kept telling me the sensors needed batteries, more or less warning me of problems. I changed batteries but the warnings would never go away. As soon as the workers were gone, I phoned Vivint and explained my problems.
They scheduled me an appointment immediately. When the technician came, I explained the problems and he told me he was going to do a complete check of all my equipment. I didn't even realize the contractors had disarmed my fire detectors, carbon monoxide detector, my glass breaking detector and even removed a window sensor. He replaced it all and told me everything was working, just the way it was when I first got Vivint! I feel safe and secure once more and love Vivint!

I would never recommend your alarm system to anyone. It is not worth it. Have had problems with it since it has been installed and should not be charged for a faulty system. You should not hold me to a contract since some of the features had to be disabled. The technician was very friendly and helpful all 5 times. There should be no need to send someone out that often.

The sales representative told me the install was at no cost to me. He collected a voided check per company policy. Within a few days Vivint withdrew $164.00 from my checking account with no authorization from me. I was not informed by Vivint of the withdraw transaction, my bank alerted me to the withdraw from my account by Vivint. I contacted Vivint and they stated it was for install etc. After a couple of phone calls they promised to reimburse me the full amount. I am not happy with their approach and their term of 42 months is too long. Other competitors offer similar systems at a lower cost of greater than 20% and 1 year term only.
I offered Vivint the opportunity to match the price and terms. They refused. Now they have come and removed the three pieces of equipment they installed and would not put my original control panel back. I had a fully operational system before they installed their system. Now I have a uninstalled system that does not operate and they refuse to put back to original state. Customer service refuse to take my call and refuses to talk to me since I am no longer a paying customer. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Stay Away and find a better company. Thank You.

I contacted Vivint when I noticed a couple of my cameras beginning to get fuzzy. They immediately set up an appointment to have a tech respond to my house to check out the problem. Not only did they fix my cameras (I needed to upgrade. They were a few years old.), they checked out all the sensors (I have quite a few) and discovered bad sensors at two entry locations. The tech, David, immediately resolved those issues. He was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. When I asked any questions, he was clear and concise not only verbally but he showed me step by step on the issue at hand. I highly recommend Vivint to be your security system because of their great customer service, knowledge of their service techs and quality of their products.

2 month old system has bad battery alert on panel with continuous sound alerts every 60 seconds or so. Troubleshooting with Vivint customer service suggests I need a new panel battery. The only way to mute or shut off the bad battery alert is to unplug the system. Service techs can't arrive for 3 weeks. I asked for a battery to be overnighted to me and I was told it could happen for the low fee of $29.99. I argued this is an issue in which Vivint should be solely responsible and was offered $15.00 off the ship price. I argued still and then the customer service rep received an email stating the warehouse won't overnight a battery "to a customer" because they are too backed up yet I was able to gain a new system within hours of agreeing to use Vivint.
Escalation to a supervisor yielded nothing. I must now wait for 3-7 business days to receive a new battery to install myself. The customer service reps I dealt with were kind but their hands are tied. I will be able to request a downtime refund but meanwhile, I have no working alarm system for 3-7 business days. I will go back to ADT once my contract with Vivint is over.
UPDATED ON 10/17/2016: I originally posted a problem with a 2-month old system having a bad battery. I waited for a new battery to be shipped to me within 3-7 business days as promised by Vivint and then I waited for its arrival. 3.5 weeks later, I call Vivint with news of no battery. I am told Vivint no longer makes batteries for my brand new system and I will need a service rep to come to my house. Vivint never followed up with me about needing an appointment. I had to chase the company for this information and now my Sept 7 reported issue is scheduled to be resolved on Nov 8. Further, I had to learn on my own that I could simply remove the backup battery while leaving my panel plugged in so that I could retain service. The very kind customer service rep did not know this and told me to call for a downtime refund when my system was back online.
The good news is that I was able to keep my system up and running. The bad news is that my panel is completely silent until I gain a new battery. It will sound an alarm but there is no entry or exit beep and I cannot hear a Vivint rep who contacts me through the panel when accidentally setting off my alarm due to lack of panel sound. I can honestly say I regret leaving ADT. I never had to chase them and it never took two months to solve a technical problem.

We were at a gathering for July 4. A pot was left cooking on the stove. I received a telephone call stating that the smoke alarm had been activated on our second level. We hurried home and found the police and fire departments at our home. If we didn't have this system, we would not have a home.

I did some research and found good ratings but many times it is hard to tell if things are honestly reviewed, but the main review I looked at was in PC Magazine which is pretty trustworthy. ** I have to say it was spot on. I got my appointment and from the first time I talked to the service techs till it was finished it was a great experience. I had an appointment and it was changed.... not big deal they let me know and rescheduled me automatically. I had an existing system, that was too old to re-use, which was the plan, but the tech was able to work right through it without any hesitation. He worked on wiring my control unit right where I wanted even though the wiring was a very difficult one, working through two thick wood supports he made one small hole and when finished it was perfect.
I got a back camera, a doorbell, and door locks. He also wired the whole house for glass breaks and entry points. The install took about 5 hours but the level of detail and care that the tech took was worth the time it took. He made everything look professional and he took time to ensure that things were neat when he left. He went over the entire operation of the system, and showed us how to download the App and work the system through the app. Then when all was done he had me sign all ELECTRONIC documents which is another bonus because now I have records in soft copy. Thanks VIVINT! I have been showing off my system to all my friends and co-workers. The monitoring is a little high but the peace of mind knowing my house is protected, and I can look right into it RIGHT NOW if I want to is well worth the cost.

Camera goes offline a lot, probably as we are experimenting to get good info about visitors without picking up every car that comes by. Not the easiest to set a range that does both, but we are trying. Also note that the mailman, who comes at an angle, doesn't seem to be picked up.

The 1st installer drilled through my electrical wire, 4 of my electrical outlets were affected. Vivint claims department took care of it. However I had to be my own Advocate and stay on top of them. I also had to find my own electrician. Did not appreciate that. I should not have had to lift a finger. And I still have to pay the $99 after a two-day install. Very unhappy about that!!

Vivint's tactics are too hard-selling. The installation people took too long. The salesman said, "You need to tip these guys about 20 to 30 bucks for installing it this late at night." I was not happy with any of that. The person that came last year was really nice. I had no problem with him. I just have a problem with the company as a whole.
I’m willing to work with them or be flexible and they don’t. And when the contract is up, they do another hard-sell on trying to renew. I said, “Look, we’re moving, and I don’t know exactly when. So I really don’t want to.” If you don’t upgrade or don’t sign back up, then they tell you that your monthly fees are going to probably go up beginning from 10 to 20%. I was not where I could do anything at the time because we were in the middle of a move. So I said, “Okay, fine. I can do this the minimum amount for another year.” This was not something that I really wanted to do. So when we moved, there’s no way to get out of those contracts. I was pretty upset about it. As soon as my contract is up, I intend to change because this move was not a good move.

We're not as happy as we thought we were going to be with Vivint. We live by a power plant but when the lights went out, we couldn't get in the house because the system didn't work. We had to wait in the car or at a neighbor's house. All of us were out of electricity so we're sitting outside in the car in the pouring rain and it's very inconvenient. Before, the lights never went out. But five times this summer, they did and we got caught out. We have now put a roof over the patio so we can come back here and sit. I have also stored a couple of blankets if we're cold.
It's because we've had a lot of storms and lightning this year and we were so sure we weren't going to get any more lightning storms after the first one because normally we don't get them. So we have not called Vivint about it. But it's getting to a point that I'd like to get rid of the system because it's just not working out right. And if the lights go out and it gets colder, I have to sit in the car again like before we put the top on the porch and I'm not thrilled with it. Also, so many times our big dog went down the hall and kept on barking and when I got up out of bed to find out what's wrong, it's the machine that made the noise and the light was flashing. It's not every night but that happens even when everything is shut close tight so I'm very disappointed in it.
The salesman was very kind and very polite. We asked a billion questions and he had answers for them all. If he didn't, he called somebody on the phone and they told him the answer which was fine. The installers worked late at night until 8:00 o'clock and I felt very sorry for them. I also felt guilty trying to have supper which I don't usually do in front of people. So we came out on the porch and ate our hotdogs and beans while they worked on.

I have been with Vivint alarm for some 6-8 years. I am very pleased with their customer response time. I have never had a break-in at my place. However, I have tripped the system quite a few times, by opening up my shop, without first disarming the system. They are always quick to respond! Their phone service techs are good too. Many times they have helped me out, over the phone. I am limited to just this one company with my personal experience. At the same time, I would say they are very good!! Thanks.

We just had our system upgraded today: new panel, new smoke detector and everything else checked out to make sure it was working correctly. Jermaine showed up within the time frame allotted and got right to work. He was very courteous and friendly. He also seemed very knowledgeable about the panel and how it worked. I only have 1 recommendation for Vivint. It would be awesome if your employees had shoe covers they could put on before entering someone's home. I'm not saying Jermaine made a mess in my house. Not at all! Shoes are covered in outrageous numbers of germs. I work in a hospital. We have swabbed our shoes and you would be in shock if you knew what was on them. This gesture goes a long, long way for your customers!!! Just a thought to make your company better!

The outdoor camera records something every 2 mins saying it was "triggered" but nothing is there. The doorbell camera doesn't always detect a visitor so it misses some deliveries. Overall, it's super annoying. Install guy said he was going to patch up the wall he mounted the system on and didn't do that before he left.

At first I was hesitant to have Vivint in our home because I was with a different security company before and wasn't very pleased. So, I thought this company would be the same thing just takes your money and forget about it. I did turn down the first person that came and talk to me about this and I thought that was it. They were more persistent than I thought and someone came again which I am glad that I listened the second time around. Now that they do door to door is very efficient and the experience with them is very pleasant and helpful. I do feel like I am safe and secured in my own home without worrying who will be at the door. Their security system is more advanced welcoming us the "techy" world of today. So I highly recommend to try it out and give an ear to listen to them not to their voice but to the thought of having your home with family and love ones safe and secured. I was going with ADT but when I called them, they said they don't have any coverage in my area and so they referred me to Vivint. The sales agent I talked to was very polite and he promised me about a $100 gift card. However, it was a disaster when I called them to follow up on it. But their installation guy was very professional and the system works very well for us. We had a few chances we forgot to disarm before we enter the house and the people called us right away to follow up and we called up to say that everything is okay. We even got an email notification and a text message on our phone. It's wonderful and I have recommended them to a few of my friends.

Vivint, where do I begin... DO NOT SIGN with this company!!! The sales rep, Joseph, was soliciting and aggressively pushy. He showed up to our house at 7PM and told us that our bill would be the same as our previous company and that if we signed up with them today, that Vivint would pay for my cancellation of my previous security system contract. Of course, I signed on because who wouldn't want new and advanced toys for the same price and because I signed up that day, he promised me $100 discount on the first month's bill? The installers didn't show up till 10 PM. One guy wasn't able to install everything fast enough so, he had to call out three other techs. The guys showed up at 12 AM and brought BEER with them and was DRINKING ON THE JOB till 2:30 AM.
After receiving the first bill of $236 (the sales guy told us the install was free), I compiled and asked when the previous security system was going to be cancelled and contract would be taken care of and he said that it would finalize in the following week. Needless to say, it was not finalized and they weren't going to pay off my previous contract because my contract was more expensive than they are willing to pay. So, they refused to pay off my previous contract and it was before the 30 day so I could still cancel with Vivint. I am currently paying for 2 security systems at this point still 3 months later.
Customer service. What customer service? I had talked to an executive representative, Michelle **, who then said that she would refund us everything that we had been billed and that she would have techs come to my house and pick up the equipment. That was 4 weeks ago. She has since not responded to any of my emails or phone calls and I have been billed once again. Also, when you try and change your payment method on the Vivint website, it will automatically give you an Invalid Request message. So, I am going public through social media, newspapers and all consumer review websites to put out the word that VIVINT IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED AND ARE A HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION!!!

We have Vivint's doorbell video, the remote garage door to our phone, the lock on the front door that could be locked or unlocked in your phone, the panel in the hallway and the visual panel. Then we have four motion sensors and then we have door alarms - if the door is opened they would go off. The installers were great and everybody I talked to was kind, courteous and very professional. The brother of the guy that I worked with owns a security company so we were able to get the service for much cheaper. Everything has been great.

Purchased the glass break, window sensors and the fire-smoke alarm from Vivint. And the sign itself has been everything that I’ve needed. The only thing I don’t like is I signed up for a contract that I’m going to have to pay forever and a year, and it’s expensive. But for a security system, it's a normal price. I got it when I was married but now I’m divorced and I’m having to pay for it still but I don’t want to live without it either.

Our service technician Dre was outstanding. We have been having issues with our tilt sensor for over 6 months. Dre came out and within a few minutes not only explained the issue but was able to fix it and answered all questions that we had. I was ready to switch at end of contract. Matt came in today to complete work that 1) could not be completed until an electrician came in to fix a problem that interfered with the garage door opening/closing using the security system; and 2) to set complete setting up my camera which could not be completed until the wifi system was in place. Matt spent time resolving a connection problem due to interference caused by neighboring monitoring systems. He explained everything clearly and tested everything several times. He was very conversant with the system, and I am more than pleased with the result: everything works. Great!

There was a mess up on your end where the office phone number was listed and not my contact number. I was scheduled for Saturday and the time came and went and there was no call to let me know the tech was coming. When I called the company the gentleman found the error and found a gentleman locally that came out and installed the system. George ** came out from home with no prior notice, was very pleasant, answered all my question and did an excellent of installing the system as well as explaining all of the instructions for use. I know from experience employees like this are hard to find and you are lucky to have him on your front line.

I'm usually pretty good at ducking salespeople. Upon answering the door, I immediately surmised that this was yet another attempt to get me to switch my home security service. I planned to quickly dispose of this unwanted solicitation but things didn't go like I planned. Before I knew what was happening I found myself engaged in a conversation that convinced me I had contracted with the wrong security service.
Representative Alana's presentation was spot on. Her attractiveness and her professional attire kept me from simply closing the door. Her courteousness, product knowledge and seeming interest of what was best for me and my family sealed the deal. It didn't hurt matters any that an installer was nearby and was able to install the equipment the same day.
NOW... it's gonna cost me to buy out my previous home security contract. And I'm going to have to pay more for this service than I previously paid. (I'm kind of kicking myself for that.) But after using the equipment this past weekend I'm convinced VIVINT offers better equipment and service than the service I had. As with anything else, I guess, you get what you pay for. I just hope the quality service continues long after the sale.

One of my neighbors are from Canada and they only come here once in a while but they have Vivint's alarm in their house. So I thought having an alarm system is a good idea so our neighbor gave us Vivint's number and my husband and I went ahead in getting the alarm system installed. The sales rep and installation team of Vivint were real good. My father has the door alert, the alarm and Life Alert. I have all the features. My only problem is that my app does not work half the time. It doesn't lock my door and it sometimes doesn't adjust the temperature.

We had an upgrade to our system today. The technician that completed the work provided excellent customer service. There was a mix up with what we were getting and he fixed the issue. The technician stayed at our place for a few hours and programmed everything and checked it a few times to make sure everything was working right. There was an issue with the thermostat connecting with the panel and he replaced it at no charge.
I have had a few alarm systems before and different technicians, but none compared to the level of customer service we received today. He went through the entire system, installed apps onto our phones to control the system, had us test everything out while he watched to ensure that we understood the system. He even called his manager to push back his next appointment to make sure we were comfortable with the new system. Very hard to find that kind of customer service nowadays, I plan to be a long standing Vivint customer knowing that I have a friendly, helpful support only one call away. Thanks to the Vivint team!!!

We have a security system from Vivint that's got cameras. Initially, their sales reps and installation team were wonderful. However, I can't wait until our contract with them is over because I want to get out of it. It's overpriced for what we get compared to other people who've contacted us and we're stuck with this for so many years. When we were in Arizona in the wintertime, the cameras never worked and that's just one of the things that I'm not real happy with. I thought it was because the internet was off or the electricity was interrupted but that wasn't the case at all. It hasn't come back on and I didn't get a call from anybody. I wouldn't recommend them.

Our Vivint service package includes the camera on the doorbell and the camera for the inside, which I really needed. I have my mom and she has a little bit of dementia, so it helps me when I leave, because I get a notice that it detected somebody out there. I never had any problem with the sales reps and they were nice. They took their time and explained things. If something wasn't working and I called them, they were prompt to fix it. If they couldn't fix it, they schedule somebody to come out. When the techs come, they go through everything and the reps call back and ask me about my experience.
The installation team showed me what I need to do, and let me try until I was able to understand. They were good and I really like that. I'm a Vivint promoter and I love it. I've let my neighbors know and see the features of my system and I’m giving out the phone number saying it will be a good thing for all of us to have the feature with the camera. It's been great with Vivint. I had other companies before, but I really, really like Vivint.

A Vivint customer rep came to my door asking if we had a security system. At that time there was a lot of break-ins in my neighborhood so I considered to get it right away that day. I have the doorbell camera, the outside camera, and the glass break sensor. Everything was explained really well when the sales rep came and he gave me numbers to call for any kind of technical support. Everything with the installation team was great. They set up everything smoothly and the experience was good.
My sister accidentally opened the alarm system and we finally heard it for the first time. It was good to know they were there to call instantly. Once I turned off the alarm, they were calling to make sure everything was okay so that was very impressive to me. It's also good that I get updated when anyone's at my doorstep or in my yard. Their site is really easy to navigate to find out financial questions. I had a question about my bill about a month ago and they easily answered my question as to why I received some different charges. Other than that, all has been great. Vivint is a great security system and it's always there for me when I need them.

I have the doorbell, a camera in the backyard and two glass shattering detectors from Vivint and I was thinking of putting another camera at the back. The installation team was great. I was very proud of them because this is an old house and when they got ready to install the doorbell, they had to go in and just do a little bit more work than they would thought it was gonna have to so they had to say a little longer. I love it and I'll recommend Vivint.

We went with the 3 day trial but we called our old security company and they said they will drop the payment to half of Vivint's. They was going to give us the exact same stuff for half the price! So we went with them. So I called to cancel with Vivint since all they could do is give me 1 month free! So I called to get someone to come get their stuff. They sent me 2 emails for me to confirm I will be home. I took off work to be there. After the 3 hour window they still didn't show up. And after 45 min on hold the guy told me that they cancelled cause no one was in my area. So I asked, "Why couldn't you have notified me?" His response was, "I don't know." Wow! Took off work for nothing then he said someone will call within 24 hrs to make a time. It's been 2 days and still waiting for the phone call. Plus you're going to charge me $160 for the 1st months and installation. But I'm suppose to get a 3 day trial. Wow! Wonder how many other people is getting treated this way?

Having never owned a security system, my experience has been fantastic! The installation was quick and up and running quickly. Everything was explained and all the people involved were knowledgeable and polite. I am so pleased with the system: easy to use, great notifications, easy to set and see from anywhere. The real-time cameras make it easy to monitor my home and the doorbell is particularly great enabling me to see who is at my door and answer without being at the door. I feel truly protected.

He explained the function and features of all of the installed sensors and was very resourceful in adapting equipment from previous companies to work with our Vivint system. The initial representative expressed the equipment very well and he's the reason why I was able to purchase from Vivint. We got the front door, the inside, and the outdoor cameras, and the system makes my family feel very secure. Although I still haven't received the sign that I'm supposed to post in my front yard. I guess they had run out. But as for the installation crew, one was very attentive, stayed until the job was finished and the other seemed to be very busy having to go job-to-job, so he had to rush through things. He even broke my light bulb in my attic – twice. We put in a new light bulb and then he somehow hit it again.

Eric, the sales rep, came around the neighborhood one day and he was awesome. He was the very best. He explained everything to me. He sat down with me and we talked for quite a while. Then I dropped ADT to be with Vivint and we arranged to have it done the next day. I have the doorbell camera, which is what I really like about it. I also have the glass breakage and the door monitors and windows. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service they have provided me so far.
We had some problems with the installation because when they connected it, they disconnected my home phone. I called Vivint that morning and they said somebody would be out in a couple of days. I knew Eric was still in the area, so I called him. An hour later, I see him come walking down my street. He got a hold of the repairman that was out here earlier and he fixed it. So within 45 minutes to an hour, he had the guy back out here fixing the mistake that he had made when he put it in. Eric called several times after that. He gave me his cell phone number if I had any issues. The whole experience was perfect and I've already told a lot of people about Vivint.

I had the worst experience with Vivint customer service. For the last month in a half I have contacted them several times about switching the account into my name from my mom's. They first told me they had no one to service the account and would need to cancel the account. So then we went another route by adding me on with my mom. We thought all was good than today I called for a sign that they were sending me and found out nothing was taken care of. I went through four people today on the phone over a 40 minute time frame. Each person had to ask why am I calling. I had enough by than and cancelled.

We received our "CONTRACT" from a door to door salesman who repeatedly said there was NO contract involved. He went over everything and flipped to the sign page saying it was for the panel installation. We decided that Vivint was not in our budget and upon calling to cancel we realize we are stuck with this company for FIVE YEARS. I felt scammed even though I should have read every single word. The system works well. But the customer service has left a horrible stain and I will not recommend to ANYONE.

So I called Vivint called me in response to my request for a quote. He asked the usual sales type questions, hyped up their product etc. I compared them to Frontpoint and their price. In response he gave me more hype about their product. At the end I asked if I had to sign a contract. He said yes, went on, and I said well "I can't do that at the price..." I was about to go on, clearly not done talking, but before I could finish, the salesman said, "Ok. Thank you. Bye," and hung up the phone. Well I definitely won't go with Vivint now. If their sales people are that impatient, I can't imagine what service will be like afterwards.

We had window sensors added to our Vivint package. Our interaction with their sales rep was pleasurable and the installation was fine. The panel apparently needed an upgrade after about a year. And instead of Vivint contacting us and advising us that an upgrade was needed, they didn't identify it until the system froze up. I went for three days without an alarm system, so that was not very good. They replaced the panel and the service at that time was fine. But we seemed to have problems when an alarm goes off because the rep that comes on the phone was not very audible.
Also, we have had a few accidental alarms where the back doors open and we enter in the password to disarm. The Vivint representative comes on, but sales asked for a password, which I find very concerning. We had another security system about ten years and regardless of whether I disarmed or not, they still had to verify who I was and what my password was. My husband is paying for it and prefers the relatively low price system compared to the other companies that we consulted but I guess we get what we pay for. The service is less than what I'm used to but I am paying less as well.

Some of the associates of Vivint are good while others are not, but they really have bad customer service. The last rep I dealt with went into my account and had seen that I was being billed wrong, and she changed that. But she put the credit back in and for me, it's inappropriate. Also, if I’ve been billed wrong all along, someone else should have noticed it before I got to her. I used to refer people to Vivint when I went with them, but then after that point, I never did refer anybody else.

I have Vivint solar and home security. However, they did not tell us that there was going to be a cost associated with our solar and what the monthly cost would be. We're fine with getting solar, but at least tell us what we would be paying and the cost. We also had a problem with our home security. We've had to call their reps multiple times. Our home security kept going offline. I'm at the point of getting rid of Vivint for our home security because we keep having an issue with it. Furthermore, we asked them not to send any emails regarding our bills because that’s where our bills were coming to. We want a physical, actual bill.
They came in and switched out the panel and the monitor for our home security but we're still having an issue with it. I told them if we keep having issues with it, I want to get out of the contract. Our front door camera is still not online on our cell phones so when we try to check it, it's still saying offline. We've done everything but it's still not working. I like the products that they provide. I definitely like the home camera even if it doesn’t work on our cell phones. We love our rep but our issue is with their service.

I am please with my new system so far. I was thinking the system with the cameras would be too hard to manage, but it is easy as pie. Vivint representatives stopped by my house that I was renting and had just came in a couple of years back. So when I purchased my home, Vivint was the only company that I had in mind. We have the doorbell camera, some other cameras, smoke and fire alarms, sensors and motion detectors included in our service package. Their staff was very knowledgeable and made sure that the system was user friendly. They made sure I had all the information to the questions that I needed answers.

The sales rep did good in presenting Vivint's program and we happened to be in the right frame of mind and got it. He then got the installer in there. With our Vivint security package, all the windows have the device that automatically sets the alarm off if they are opened. Our exterior doors on the patio, the garage and one out the front door have sensors on them. Then, in the kitchen, there is one of those that mounts in the ceiling. Also, if there is glass breakage or somebody is trying to force entry, the vibrations from that will set off the alarm. Although we don't own the house anymore since we're living in a new home. Then a Vivint installer transferred the whole system. We brought the control device to the new house as we were instructed. The installer was a very nice young man and I felt he was very knowledgeable. He did a bang of a job putting all of the sensors in place. He also checked what volume we wanted it set at.
Vivint has been Johnny-on-the-spot. A few weeks ago, my wife inadvertently pushed on the stay at home button instead of the alarm and leave button and she went out the door. The alarm apparently didn't go off immediately and there must have been a slight delay. We were at the car and getting in it, and I thought somebody must have bumped their car and their car alarm is going off. Our house is relatively sound-proof with its very tight construction, so I thought there's a sensor somewhere around the neighborhood. It didn't dawn on me. We weren't four blocks down the road heading into town when our son called my wife's cell phone and said he had gotten a call from Vivint and they were sending the police out. We debated very briefly and decided to turn around. We can't have the police out there breaking in the house. As we pulled down our street, there is a police car coming from our house, so we stopped them and apologized.
I've opened the exterior door several times without thinking, and off went the alarm. It was not intentional, just forgetfulness and they've been very good and understanding. Normally, we responded quickly and cleared the alarm, but it still went off in the monitoring center. I've been most impressed with how well it is monitored and how quickly they are right there. There was one time when we didn't make it to the control box and somebody said, "Are you all right? This is Vivint." We've always had very good service and people who answered our question were always very good. Their representatives are very polite yet inquisitive, and we appreciated that.
We're very pleased and whenever we have to tell someone who doesn't have a system that they may very well want to have Vivint's folks come out and present to them the program. Moreover, we have a Vivint sign in front of our house, and there was another young man who rang us to see if we wanted any upgrades and so forth. He was a very nice young man, so I suggested he contact a couple of our neighbors nearby. He did and he got a couple of new customers and came back and thanked us one evening while he was still working in this area.

Our experience with Vivint has been excellent. Their sales rep has been wonderful and he followed through with everything that he committed to. We needed an electrician to get the wiring for the doorbell and he took care of that. He was very helpful and right there with everything, and gave us his phone number. He contacted the installer while we were signing the paperwork and the installer was there in a few minutes. We got their $99 a month package and I've been very happy with what we did. When I set the inside alarm and got up at 4:00 in the morning to take a shower to get on an airplane, I forgot to turn it off, and the service has been very good with the immediate contact. Before I had my eyes opened, the rep had already called the Sheriff. We then straightened it out, and she called them back. Everything has been great.

This has been the worst experience with any alarm company for our business. The initial install was set for 8/18/16. However the tech was great but he did not have all of my order due to the person who took the order did not include the additional panel and the safety monkey we had requested. I spent two days on the phone mostly holding on waiting for a customer. I am talking about hours. Then when I finally got a warm body to talk to this person informed it was be another 2-3 weeks before a tech could get out to complete the install. I spoke to several people including a man who stated he was a supervisor. He was rude and said we could cancel if we did not like the wait. I took the order number and the date for was today between the hours of 11:00 - 2:00. Well nobody showed up. I am on hold again with Customer Service while they hold for scheduling.
We are not able to use this system until the panel is installed by a door due to security -- double security doors. I had to wait 15 minutes to get a person in Customer Service and I am now on hold as stated above. Last summer Vivint worked our area hard and heavy. We gave five referrals and all of those will cancel based on this customer service of theirs.

The security system from Vivint was active with the previous owner when I bought my home. I left it as is but there’s an upgrade that I want to do. I’m short and can’t see out of the front door so I want to get a front door camera installed. At 3:00 o’clock in the morning I was dumping ice from the ice maker bin into a bag and the noise was quite loud, and the system picked it up as breaking glass. The system was then armed, so the alarm went off. It’s nice that when something like that happens with the pad that’s installed on the wall, I can speak directly to someone at Vivint without making a phone call. I explained to their staff what had happened and they told me that something very sharp and loud like dumping ice does sound like breaking glass. Everyone from Vivint is really customer satisfaction oriented. I’m very satisfied.

I got a service package from Vivint that includes front door remote lock, doorbell camera, and two other cameras that are like outdoor cameras. I'm very satisfied with the features. However, the sales representative was very shady and I did not like him. I was treated like a number and not a person. He told me that for every person that I referred, he would give me one month of free service. He contacted me asking me if I can talk to one of my neighbors on his behalf because they were hesitant about getting the service. I asked him if that counts as one referral if I get them on board and he told me no because I needed to have two people per month to get a referral. So, he changed it up on me.
One of the guys in the installation team blew my doorbell sensor or the doorbell transformer when they hooked up one of the wires on. I had to have them come out a second time to hook up a new transformer that they had paid for. But other than that, they were really good. With the whole experience, I wasn't satisfied at first but now I am.

We're enjoying our Vivint experience so far. We have the doorbell that has the little camera in it so we can see who's at the door. We also got the monitors for the windows and the key fob. In the beginning, the connection on the door wasn’t working so they had to come out and put in a new one. They were very fast. We're happy with their service.

So far, it's been good with Vivint. I have their motion sensor, doorbell, automatic lock on the back door, sensors for all the doors, and a smoke detector. However, I had lost power to my house probably about two weeks ago and the battery went low. I don't know how to change it so that's what I have got to find out. Nonetheless, they are a very good company to work with.

I have been extremely impressed from the talking to the phone tech on the equipment I would need for my home, to the follow-up reminders on installation via texts, emails and phone calls from the installation technician. The installation technician Mario ** was extremely professional in appearance and skillful in installation of the equipment with instruction on its use!! The equipment and app for my smartphone are all top class!! I was also impressed with the attention to detail that Vivint took to make sure the experience was a good one from the start!! We've been using Vivint for several years now. My wife was having health problems, and we were looking for a way to monitor her. The gal at the hospital recommended Vivint. The installation people were professional and did a good job. Overall, I like our system. We have the entrance door alarm and the motion detector, which we know works really well because my wife left a doll with a floppy hair in front of it one time while we were gone and every time the furnace came on, the hair flopped and it would set the motion detector off. Vivint wasn't able to contact me and they automatically called the Sheriff's Department to go out. They didn't find anything. We turned the camera on and that’s how we figured out what it was. I just disabled the motion detector because we were out of town when it happened.
My wife has the medical alert and she has fallen a couple of times and was able to get somebody out to help her. We’ve got the pan-tilt-zoom cameras which can cover a lot larger area because I can move the camera around remotely. I was going to add a couple more, however, it is frustrating that Vivint doesn’t offer those anymore. The new ones are just fixed and focused on one area, so you’d have to put several cameras to cover the same area.
The only drawback that I have with Vivint is that I thought that they own the equipment and the fee I was paying a month was a rental on it, and they would take care of any snafus in the equipment. The smoke detector went bad and we had to buy a new one to replace it. They also wouldn’t just send it to me and let me install it. I had to pay $40 for their installation people to come out and put it in.

I read a lot of negative comments online about how bad customer service has been for many customers. I can honestly say that I've had 1 salesman and 3 different techs come to my house and everyone was as professional, courteous, and knowledgeable as can be. Our system has not worked properly since installed. Cameras going offline, NEST thermostat installed incorrectly, cameras that don't pick up people but pick up shadows. We have had technicians out twice and spent hours on the phone to no avail. The original order shows items that the tech did not install. I was told $80.99 per month but billed $85.99. The idea of the system is wonderful but at this point it has not been provided to us. And the customer service has been horrible. I've spent hours away from my job at this point in order to attempt to fix it.

After installation the sales rep contacted me a few days later to see how my system is working, and making sure everything was installed properly. Due to heavy rain my outdoor camera was not able to be installed but before the technician left he set up an appointment for installation of the outdoor camera. Got the system installed 2 weeks ago... Have had so many issues with it ever since and always on the phone with Vivint. Technicians never show up on appointment schedule... Panel battery is broken since installed. Camera never worked since they installed it; offline. Just a very ridiculous experience. Have a 3 year contract with Vivint so I can't cancel this membership, but having to call Vivint everyday is also ridiculous!!!

We have had problems with our camera and doorbell working properly since day 1. We have had technicians in and still we have problems. We were promised that if the last technician could not fix the problems we could cancel our service and the account manager even stated that in an email to me. Now that we are trying to cancel without penalty he will not answer my emails. I have sent 4 emails to one account manager. 2 to another and numerous phone calls. They will not reply or phone back. This is the worst service I have ever encountered. WARNING to all who are even thinking about Vivint... They are quick to take your money and lock you in to a long term contract and then they have you. BEWARE!!!

Vivint alarm salesman from Arizona knocked on door. I live in Bakersfield, CA. Young man named Roland. I told him I was not interested. He continued to ask why and talk about product. I asked for business card. He said he didn't have any. I told him if I was interested I would call him. He returned a third time today, knocking on my door like the house was on fire. I opened door and told him, I'm not interested. He continued to stand and talk at me at door, pushiest human I have ever came across in sales. I told him to leave three times. I came close to arresting him. He finally left while giving me the death stare all the way down driveway and road. Completely ridiculous. Apparently no one has ever told him no. I would not ever use this business, due to him refusing to leave when I said, No.

I saw an episode on Undercover Boss so I googled the company and started to educate myself. The staff on the phone were a little too bit like sales people for me, but beyond nice. I called a few different times with questions and the staff always made sure I had the answers before we hung up. The day of the install the person arrived on time and was very thorough. The installer made sure to tell me all of my options, which was nice because I did end up making some changes to my system that day. The system is beyond easy to use and is perfect for our family.

My Vivint services have been great and I've never had any problem at all. Their reps were all very courteous and informative. I'm an IT so I had a lot of technical questions and they resolved those. They knew what I was asking about so that was refreshing. The install tech was very, very good. The panel looks great on the wall and they were good about giving ideas about where it should go based on where I might come in, etc. Everything worked really well and it's been an excellent experience.

The amount of misinformation (to which later became blatant dishonesty) from the get go, only to be compounded with the multiple repeats of the same thing over and over, is the direct result to the negativity that will be present throughout this review. First I would like to say that product wise (and was the precise reason I opted Vivint above all others) is by far very progressive technology wise. The unfortunate part of my experience I have come to realize was due to my needs of the system exposed so much and many of the key "misses" within the product as well as the company policy and practices. It was most unfortunate to feel as if my voice was NOT even being heard or cared to be heard. I failed to see how when being on the phone with a rep that my then having to submit said feedback via online form (due to being advised it would set as highest priority over all others) was accepted on any level.
What was the purpose of my calling the company to begin other than seek resolution to my needs. Ultimately to them not once ever hear anything back from the company after numerous calls per day/week/month. Issue upon issues with a most recent result of being completely stood upon a confirmed and scheduled appointment with a tech. The end result is down to trying to give one last attempt. After being forced into a "work-around" situation I am allowing a weeks time to assess how well the band aide is going to really work.
While the majority of all interactions were pleasant, I did several time get absolutely awful reps who hang up when they don't know as how to speak with someone applying too much pressure to handle and address the situation at hand. While I do like and enjoy so much of Vivint's products and services all I have had to endure has been far too much of a hassle to ever be able to feel confident in making a referral to Vivint other than to a worst enemy.

I love Vivint including the app. It sure gives peace of mind! The only thing I didn't like was that they promised me a Garage Door Controller, thrown in for free with the package I ordered, but when the installer showed up it was not on the work order. We called twice, but no one followed up. Not so impressed with that.

We had Vivint install an alarm in our house about a month ago. After not showing up for 2 scheduled appointments they scheduled a third time. 5 different people from the company called to confirm my appointment within 24 hours (which was annoying but I was glad they were finally coming) and then the next day they changed the time of the appointment. Finally they came. Everything the technician touched he broke. When installing the remote thermostat he jammed the HVAC door in so tightly that it stopped working for 2 days (while it was 95 degrees). Vivint was unable to send someone out to fix it right away so eventually we had an HVAC company come out and fix it.
The technician also took off the panel of a light switch plate by our front door when installing the camera doorbell outside. That night we noticed one of the switches (the only overhead light in our family room) was not working as a result. Again Vivint was unable to send a technician out. 3 Weeks later we finally had an electrician come yesterday and he was unable to fix the problem because the technician had pulled out and rewired several of the wires causing the breaker to continually turn off. We are still trying to get this fixed.
I called Vivint this morning and after being on hold for 15 minutes a message played stating that their office is closed (despite it being 10:30 AM and part of their business hours). I would recommend going with ANY OTHER alarm company. Their technology seems great but it is the same every other company has and their customer service and technicians are incompetent. Their technicians are not electricians and thus do not understand what they are doing.

Vivint is a good product. George was an excellent technician. He took pride in his work. He worked diligently but made sure every aspect of the security system was working properly before leaving. I would recommend Vivint but it is better when you have someone like George working with you to make your life safer.

We got the basic package where it has the alert on the panel. At the time, they said that we would be able to have access with smartphone if we were to upgrade to that, but they never helped when I called to ask them about it. And when we were having problems with the alarms going off, it took the fifth person that I spoke with to finally look through and explained how to update it. He told me to go on the internet and that's how I was able to find out.
When we originally signed up with them, the sales rep was very nice and he explained things. It ran the first year and a half. Then this past year we had a gentleman from Vivint call us on the same number that they used. I gave him my email, name, and address, and when I explained about the problems I was having with the service, he said that they were trying to get me to upgrade for $10 more a month. I don't even know what it was, but another part of the system. I told him that my system's not working right and it kept going off. He then said that he had the wrong person, although he had all my information. I’m fixing to cancel my Vivint. I'm very unhappy with them and I don't appreciate their service. It's been very lax for a security system. They don't take care of requests, whether with the equipment that we use for a security system or anything else. We've contacted them many times over and they refused to help us.

We switched from another company when our contract was up and I knew Vivint had the onscreen graphics so I got a couple of cameras and monitoring. I have a big metal Cantera door. They tried their best to get it operating where their equipment is versus where the door is. We even tried boosters but failed. But I think we've almost got it worked out now and I have a couple of issues that I need to get resolved. They keep on two zones that I cannot just walk out of my house but I've learn to live with those small issues. Like when I leave, instead of just putting to leave, I have to bypass these two zones that we do not need. We also have a second home that we can't get the cameras to continue working. They changed the equipment and it did help, but now I noticed they're offline again. The deal is that Vivint has to be there but I'm not there so I haven't called to work on those.

So far our alarm system is working well, which is certainly the most important thing. But I've had a very frustrating customer service experience with Vivint that is still unresolved. I received a Vivint certificate for my homeowners insurance policy, but that certificate did NOT mention fire/smoke alarm coverage, which I do have. Since my homeowners insurance policy gives a discount for fire/smoke alarm coverage, I was told by my insurance agent that I need to have that on the certificate in order to get that discount.
I called Vivint not once, but FOUR separate times over the course of two days, losing a lot of time at work to speak to various representatives, all of whom told me I'd receive an email with the updated certificate. That email never came. One of the representatives, Jared, did follow up letting me know I'd receive it soon, but that was 8 days ago (August 24th) and I haven't gotten it yet. I followed up with Jared twice over email, but haven't gotten a response. I hate to give Vivint a poor review given the fact that the alarm system seems to be very good, but this customer service issue is hugely frustrating, and there's no resolution in sight. I'd very much appreciate a speedy response to this note, and look forward to this issue being resolved immediately. Thank you.

Bought from Vivint our doorbell camera, motion detector, keypad door lock capability, and the app where I could arm and disarm the system via my phone. I'm a customer service trainer so my expectation of their service level is very high, and if I rank it from the time I called in to inquire about the services, it's excellent. In fact, when I had a billing discrepancy, it was rectified immediately. Their technician was also very thorough and respectful of my home. I am overly satisfied with Vivint. If I have to put my money somewhere, they will always remain top for me. I've already recommended them to a coworker and she's also a part of their clients as well.

Vivint came at the right time when I had been thinking about putting in a security system because I live alone. My experience with the sales rep was very positive. He was a very nice young man and explained everything very simply to me. I use the monitoring at the door, the doorbell, the temperature control, and the smoke detector. I have a basement so I had them put a moisture detector in case there's flooding down there. I also have an emergency button and motion detector. I was very impressed and pleased with the system. It's working out well for me and I've told a lot of different people about it.

We're very happy with the service from Vivint. Though it took them a little long time installing their whole system, we understand since we live in a colonial house so it's hard to put in. We don't have any complaints. In fact, it's been an excellent experience with them. Their system is good. The alarm went off twice which were by mistake but we got response right away.

We have Vivint's complete security system. I really like the way that the app works where we can see the photos from the cameras. We can open and close the doors from our cellphone. That is very nice and we really like that option. We're waiting for some new style keypads to come in stock and we're gonna have some added. We also did have to have a range extender put in for wider cameras and that's a little iffy right now so we're gonna have them look at it at the same time.

Vivint Technician called before coming and gave me 20 minutes notice. I really appreciated that. He showed his ID when he appeared at my door. He greeted me and work on my system. He listened carefully to my concerns. When he was done he left the work area clean. He trained me on my new system and was truly concerned with me being comfortable with the change. Excellent overall service.

We noticed that the battery was low only 2 days after install so when I called, they set up an appt. right away for service. When the service man came, he noticed that the battery in the panel was cracked in half and was very concerned about because that should have been checked at install. He was excellent, thorough and we were very satisfied with him, not with the installer however...

Your company dispatched a Site tech to my home to fix some problems we had with our new security system. He addressed and fixed all the problems. I have not dealt with a more knowledgeable and competent worker in my life. He worked diligently and explained each step. When he left, my wife and myself felt safe and secure in our home. Our doorbell camera has been on the fritz for a month on our second home (2+ hours away) and there are no techs in our area to fix the issue. Customer Service tech told me to hire a stranger to be at home when they can could squeeze me in (2 weeks from now). Sarcasm from Customer Loyalty rep was over the top.

We have been extremely happy with our service so far with Vivint. We had their service in our last home but when we moved we did not transfer our service and went with a different company that the new builder was using to install the equipment. Sadly, we found out the hard way just how poor the other company's service was. We decided to go back with Vivint and couldn't be happier with our decision. Having Vivint gives our family peace of mind that we are protected when at home and when away from home. You definitely get what you pay for!!!

I got a camera on the front door, a motion, window break, and carbon monoxide detectors from Vivint. Their sales reps and installation team were good people and worked it out for us. Everything's fine and I'm pretty happy with it but I have been a little concerned because of the $60 I’m paying a month. I've seen something else for about $14 and it’s supposed to be pretty good, too.

I have Vivint's medical alert bracelet and the fire thing. I also have a keypad on my door which is the only thing that quit working. I have an appointment for them coming to see me next Friday to see why it isn't working. But everything else works good. Arming and disarming the system works great and I like the camera that takes a picture of who's at the door when they ring the doorbell. I've felt so much more secure. I'm an old lady, I live alone, and I was glad to have somebody help me. I love it and I would recommend it highly. In fact, I did to friends.

I love Vivint's service and what it does. The service people that had come out have been wonderful. I like the app, the convenience, but regardless of how well I like it, I would get rid of it because of the salesperson. He was a lousy crook and I will never do or recommend Vivint again because of him. He was a fast-talker, really pushy and promised a thousand things. In fact, I paid out my contract for ADT to have Vivint because of his speech. When he left, he gave his cell phone number and said if I have any problems, I can call or text him. However, I have pages of screen shots of my texts to him. I never heard another thing about him. He was done. He did the same to my niece. She also got the service, and she felt awful about him.
