My experience has been great so far. I have only dealt with CustomerCare so far and they have been efficient at giving me the information I need and answering my questions in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Vivint to my friends!!!

So far I have had a very bad experience with your service, they scheduled me an appointment for November 22. The technician never came and called with you and they told me how sorry the technician is resting, the cameras are offline all the time, they put a thermostat. It's not the one I buy, I'm really disappointed with your service.

When I saw Vivint reps walking through the streets where I live, I asked them what they were doing. A rep came in, presented a deal and I bought it. I was told what it was going to cost and if we decided to proceed, he'd check with my insurance company if there was a discount. I was able to save part of the cost off of my insurance. The installers were very prompt, courteous and didn't take very long to do the job.
I have a camera and an alarm on all of the doors, which I can turn on or off with my phone. I had a couple times when we opened the door without turning the alarm off and before we could get it shut down, Vivint and the police were notified. But it was good and we got everything kept squared away. The customer service has been courteous and prompt. One time, I couldn't remember my password and they helped me work through that. They were very understanding and I finally found where I wrote the password down. So far, all of my experience has been good. I'd recommend Vivint to friends and tell them that they'd be a little more secure.

The Vivint reps that we dealt with were excellent. They told us about all of the products and the different things that we could get, and they were very helpful over the phone. They just told us about what was going on and we thought that it would be really nice especially since we have a child. We got the regular alarm, a thermostat, a little camera and a doorbell. The installation team was excellent. They did it so fast. Our son was up during that time and they interacted with him too, so it was just great.

Horrible experience. They broke every appointment they made, they promised to return phone calls that never happened. I felt like I was dealing with uneducated school children. It’s just a sin because their product is terrific. Too bad their sales and service are Nonexistent. I wound up switching over to ADT and was quite pleased to deal with consummate professionals even though their electronics were not as good.

The signal was on and off and I was told that Vivint was able to provide the router that would boost the signal because my router is on the second floor. Their first rep told us that the router will be coming but it's already about two weeks after. So, I have to call them back to follow up, but then nothing came. The third person who dealt with the device was able to figure it out by just guiding me through whatever I have to do with the main panel. He was able to figure it out right away. That was excellent. With this one, I was already giving them an ultimatum. I have to cut off the payment so that they will call me back, and then they fixed it. They have to improve their technical support. They have to have somebody well versed to be able to get through to whatever problems we encounter. Overall, I had a good experience with the security monitoring and I would highly recommend it to others.

A sales representative from Vivint banged on my door and while he was knowledgeable and friendly, he was very pushy. But I signed up with them so he was definitely good. Then there was a little bit of confusion with the installation. I was told that the equipment was free because I signed up for x amount of years. But it turned out that I had to pay a rental fee. Also, I bought the contract for five years, which is fine, but now it's different and half of the stuff doesn't really work anymore. Both the doorbell cameras and the keypad stopped working. Though it wasn't the salesman's fault, things turned out to be more than I could process. I didn't know enough about what I was signing for and I didn't understand everything properly. So they have to explain the contract a little bit better.

Chad, a Vivint rep, did a sale in our neighborhood and he came by our house. I went with him because of the product he had and he was super professional. I’ve also referred him to at least five different customers. The installation was very good and the technician was very nice. He had to come a few times because of the wiring, but all in all, he got the job done and the system works beautifully.
Chad explained all the services Vivint provides including the camera, the doorbell cam, and the lock that I have which I can access through my iPhone. That's my favorite feature because my children do not have to carry keys. They get home, ring the doorbell and I can see that it’s them, then I open the door and turn the alarm off for them. When my son set off the alarm by accident, a representative came right through on the panel and asked him what the password was. She was so kind and patient. She talked to him through everything and he called me on speakerphone. I gave him the password and he gave it to her. She was awesome and amazing.

Customer service was excellent. When I called with any concerns or issues they were more than helpful and took their time to explain to me what the procedures and standards would be. Your text that came out on yesterday are absolutely amazing. They were kind, courteous, patient, explain all the procedures, all the processes, all paperwork and quotes for billing and less than 800 number if I had any of the further questions. I would recommend this company to a friend or acquaintance.

We got two outdoor cameras, one indoor camera, glass breaks, motion or door sensors, and the thermostat from Vivint. The guy at BestBuy and the reps on the phone were all good, but one of our cameras still doesn’t work at their second attempt and I've been trying to rectify issues for the last three months. For an almost $3,000 system, with technology that’s proprietary but will be outdated in six months, it’s gotten exceedingly below expectations.
I'm a policeman and I know how burglary alarms work. I can even do the system for $1,000 myself. It's way too expensive and the automation part is underwhelming. I can set my thermostat and I can lock my door from my phone, but there are other products out there that do the same exact thing for a fraction of the cost. I could also just call the police myself and tell them that it's a false alarm, which is more effective than having to go through a whole rigmarole of passwords and pin numbers to verify when in fact it’s sure burglary. Other than that, their rep who came out were very personable but he showed up six hours late. Part of it is because he provides too much customer service. So the customer service that he gave me delayed him for his next call. But the last thing I want to do at 9:00 at night is deal with somebody that I was expecting five hours beforehand.

I’m an Independent Business Owner with ACN. When I did the package with Vivint I was supposed to get a $50 gift card and I don't know if that was ACN's or Vivint's part but I never got it so I was disappointed. Also we had the furnace all hooked up and the turner of setting was not right. We set it to 65 and it ended up being 75 so I might have to take it up to a service rep. On the other hand the guy who came here to install was really nice, did a good job and got it done quickly. He also showed me how to use the product and cleaned up after himself when he was finished. I also show the cameras to people and a lot of them were impressed and I wish I could get out there try to get some customers. I was satisfied.

I was given a very difficult time when I was renewing my old contract. Current customers like myself were demanded by your customer service that I have to pay more than a thousand $ upfront to avail of the new system since my system was from 2011. Fortunately new customer section namely Steve Larsen assisted me greatly in getting a deal done. Now I have a problem with the repair person Nick Noose who was assigned to install, he has not given me two of the z-wave outlet that I paid for and he has been using the excuse that his wife is pregnant that is why he has not given me the 2 z-wave that I paid for! Please help me in getting it, Thank you.

Love being able to monitor doors, windows, temperature, etc of both buildings from my smartphone! They explain everything for you before they arrive, then the tech adds more value to the installation. Neat, clean, timely, easy to use. Then the tech makes sure you can operate the system both in the building and on your phone.

Great service so far. I had it over 3 weeks. I'm loving every part of my will recommend this to anyone. It's better than ADT. I also like to see this a being able to control it from my phone. So overall I would recommend this alarm service.

Very happy with the install process. Tech did a great job and was very professional. There were a couple of issues with submitting documents that delayed the process a bit. Seemed like a software issue but felt bad that the tech had to sit on the phone with support for an extra hour or so.

We had it set up to have our unit uninstalled in our home, then to reinstall in the new home. They came when promised. The tech ended doing some damage to our wall and ceiling. I called to complain and cancel services. I will never use them again or refer them to anyone. I am still going to have to pay to get out of contract, even though it is a month old. It is a big gimmick to them. We have had them since 2012. All I can say it is bad customer service.

I have the doorbell camera monitor, the indoor sensors, and the doors and window sensors with my Vivint service package. Their sales reps were friendly, told me what I was getting, when and where I could try to call in, and how I could go online for the service. Then the guy who came and did the installation was good. It didn't take him that long to install and he told me how each thing worked. He also told me that if I had problems, I could call in for technical assistance which I did this weekend. My son has a Vivint system, too.

We paid off an installment and signed a contract with Vivint which included the monitoring, thermostat, front door lock and some sensors on all the other exterior doors and a window. Overall, it’s been good but I might need to call about our front door because sometimes the automatic lock sticks and they might need to re-install that. Everything’s been working for the most part. For the couple of interactions we’ve had with their team, they were helpful, really nice and easy to work with. The installers were courteous, kind and helpful. One time, they didn’t have the part and had to come back to fix the one part that wasn’t right and they were fairly quick on their turnaround. When they put in the sensor for the motion sensor, they asked questions to try to help us understand it.
However, the system itself could have more settings where you could do more stuff and be able to control stuff a little differently. Also, as far as the way Vivint does their contracts, it would be better if you do not have to sign a long contract if you’re going to pay it off in installments. If they had it where you can pay it off over an extra amount of period of time, then you can pay it off earlier if you wanted. We’re still fairly new to the system and we’ve got our privacy multiple months now but overall, it’s been good.

We are very happy with our new security system. The whole process from contacting to get a quote to getting installation was great. We have poor cellular service at our house and they worked very hard to get us equipment that would have enough service to work. Definitely gives me peace of mind having the system.

First, the installer Tez was excellent. I would have cancelled installation without his assistance. I was misled on a number of items by initial sales rep I spoke with. was told could cancel at any time and no amount would be due. Wrong. Was told install would be after I was off work. Wrong, had to leave work early. Was told my hearing impaired daughter, who also lives here, could be emergency contact and she could be contacted via text since hearing on a phone is difficult for her. Wrong. And the rep I spoke with on the phone during installation pretty much said your company would not work with my daughter. She is an American with a disability and I feel Vivint discriminates against her. May file a complaint on this issue.

System almost never works or operates on such a delay that it’s useless. So many false alarms due to system malfunction. Had the doorbell camera stolen and the system didn’t even register any motion, report the equipment missing, or record anything. If it can’t keep itself safe, it can’t keep your home safe.

We have been very happy with this system. We feel like we’re secure and have a lot of control over our home, even when we’re not there. The equipment is nice, I like that my doorbell has a camera so I can see who’s at the door without opening the door. The people we’ve come into contact with have been very efficient, professional, kind, and courteous.

Don't be fooled with normal burg systems. I've been in business for 20+ years. Most police no longer respond to burg systems without video verification of the event. Vivint does this. Only reason not 5 stars was one component had still not been delivered the Alexa for the smart side. Been 3 weeks now. Tighten up guys. You're almost perfect.

We have Vivint for over a year now and so far, they exceeded expectations. We have the front doorbell camera, the smart thermostat and Alexa. There’s been trouble with the doorbell camera and issues regarding either audio or the system not being accessible. The issue comes and goes. Sometimes it works really well and sometimes it doesn’t. Vivint said it’s either my cellphone provider or internet provider, but the internet says that it’s all right. Everything else has been good. They did the instant installation and their reps came by the next day and stayed that night. Their sales rep was awesome and he was the reason why we purchased the system. We had some initial questions or troubles and we’d call him directly. He would quickly resolve them or at least point us in the right direction if he wasn’t able to help.

Customer service was really bad starting with the sales person offering me a plan later on can't owner it by a supervisor, continue with technician not showing up to the allotment they set for me, then after on the second appointment technician show late, continue with not able to install all the sensors, so work was only half way. I had to call at least twice to request have my installation finished, and explained every supervisor my experience, finally someone sent another technician to finally finished the whole installation.

At Best Buy they didn’t give much explanation of the product. When the tech arrived I almost canceled my order due to everything he was saying about wires having to show and that the interior cameras weren’t hard wired like the outside ones.

My daughter and my son are both Vivint subscribers and they’d both recommend it highly. Mario was their sales representative and he was a good dude. The guy who did the install was good, too. I’ve come to find out he was from Jamaica and I’ve been to Jamaica for three times in a row. It was good to talk to him. I’m living in Houston and we got flooded from Hurricane Harvey and lost everything. We had just gotten that Vivint service for about three months. We were very satisfied with it, then all of a sudden, the water came and just ran us up the house. We’re getting our house rebuilt and the Vivint rep was helpful in getting some stuff handled. I did not expect it. My experience with Vivint is absolutely fantastic.

I'm not a fan of sales or salespeople, however Volmar's knowledge of the product impressed me. The installation done by Tyler was quick and efficient, no wires or mess. Everything worked and was double checked. He walked me through the setup and answered all questions.

I’ve been with Vivint for about five years now and their service has been fine. The reps have been friendly, knowledgeable and answered my questions. However, they need more people. One time, we had to wait about three weeks when we had to have them come out just to work on the battery. We would also look into the upgrades, like cameras, if we'll see something affordable.

One of the sales guy from Vivint came out to us and he was good. The installers also did what they needed to do and everything went smooth. I received very good service from Vivint. The alert went off once and the reps called quickly. There’s always peace of mind having the alert.

We knew about Vivint from a young, very personable door to door salesman. We have a Pitbull so most people don't even want to come around. But he came in and played with the dog. He wasn't scared, that was the biggest thing. And so they installed and they did a great job. They did one small hole in my wall and run a cord behind it so you can't see everything in my wall. We’ve been with them now for six years.
We have the alarm, which we tried to cancel, but they worked with us. We got new windows and when the people took the windows out, they threw our sensors away. So, I didn't have any sensors for about two years. And about six months ago Vivint came in, with the salesman I talked to before, and replaced all the sensors for free. The guy who did it consulted with my husband on where we wanted the sensors and also where they thought it would be optimally used and then compromised. I also had the temperature and something else but I wasn't using them. So the salesman got rid of those and cut almost $20 off my bill.
I've enjoyed my experience with them because, like with my alarm, the sensors went off and didn’t work for a certain amount time and they reached out and told me they noticed that we had power failure in our house for three hours, one time. I had gone to work so I didn't know. It was something to do with the box because the box wasn't working. And so I told them I wasn’t home. They asked if they could run a test for possible power outage and they did what they needed to do. And they came back and told me that there's no power to our home and that I might want to go home and check. And I logged on to our Rocky Mountain Power and checked. And there was an actual outage in my area. They paid attention.
Prior to changing some things, they had one that was a fire alarm on it. And we had burned something and it went off and they called. And then we had done a dust, we have a whole bunch of dust in the house from a vacuum that popped. And it set it off and they called and notified us that they have the sensors going off. They've been good. They’re very caring and they always want to make sure that everything is okay in our home.

We were robbed so we got a doorbell and three cameras from Vivint and so far we were satisfied with system. The sales reps and the installation team were all fine too. They were respectful and they answered all my questions. My husband set the alarm off on accident and the reps from Vivint took care of it.

First contacted technical support on 11/3. Was told they would ship replacement camera. 11/10 was told error in system and no camera shipped. Assured camera on the way. 11/17 same story. Error in system. Camera on the way. 11/18 contacted customer loyalty and was told, "Sorry it would take 7-10 business days to ship". Unacceptable in my opinion. Asked to expedite and was told that was not an option. Was offered 25.00 credit for inconvenience. Told them that was unacceptable. Told them to cancel service. Was told it would cost me to cancel. Told them that was unacceptable that I should not be charged because they failed to service my contract. Would like to talk to someone else and was told there was no one else beside him.

I had my system installed on November 8th, and prepaid for my equipment upfront, this was a mistake. The system has never worked as promised. The lock installed on one of my doors cannot be unlock with my code, from the app or the panel. I have call about the problem 3 times in one week, each they promise they are coming to swap the defective lock, but each technician shows up to troubleshoot, they have not replaced the lock and they can only give a refund if you ask for it within 3 days of the installation. Buyers beware.

The sales rep from Vivint was a happy go lucky young guy and he was knowledgeable. The installer was good, quick and cleaned up after himself. I got the regular coverage for all my windows and cameras for our door opener. So far everything is good except for my garage door opener. It's not working properly as it tells me it's open when actually, it's closed. But overall, it was a convincing experience with Vivint.

I communicated with Vivint through the phone until the installer came in and the Vivint reps I talked to were great. They answered all my questions. Then the installer, Bruno, came and installed the system. He was a very polite and he was a very nice guy. He was a really good installer. He was quick. He didn’t take his shoes off but he put his little booties on his shoes so he wouldn't track anything in. It was just a good experience. I like Vivint's service.

I wanted to beef up security around the house because we live out in the country. Vivint offered us six window things where it will trigger the alarm whenever the windows open and we were also offered one keypad, one key fob, and two motion sensors. Their service was really good but their response time has changed since we got it set up. They're slower to respond when the alarms triggered and sometimes they won't even come at all. I don't know if the company has changed ownership, but it was not like it was when we first found them. The alarm wouldn't stay on for maybe 30 seconds. They would come and say their little spiel and want to know what the password was to verify that we're legitimate or if we're supposed to be there or not. There has been a couple of times within the last six months that I haven't replied at all but they didn't come even after we turned off the alarms, and that's bothersome especially when I'm there by myself a lot.
For what we are paying, there doesn't need to be any lag time. Also, somebody should at least come out and check to make sure that the system is still operating appropriately, but I haven't heard from anybody at Vivint. The system that we have is not what's being offered today, and we've gotten those phone calls to upgrade, so that would be a definite improvement as I'm sure there are other things that can be included.
The thing I don't like is that the thermostat will send me an email letting me know the temperature in the house and asking me if I want to change it. Or if the alarm is triggered, it will let me know but sometimes, that's all I get. It's just finding that the front door security alarm has been triggered, and so I'm calling everybody I know, asking if they set off the alarm. It’s my fault that I haven’t reached out to Vivint about it, but for what I'm paying per month, I shouldn't have to. I was too busy by the end of the day and I don't think about it anymore until the next time it happens. It's not every day that the alarms trigger, and there could be months in between each event.
Nevertheless, the installation team was excellent. They were all so friendly when they came in and they did what they needed to do, and then they cleaned up. They didn't just install and throw the manual at us, and say “thank you” and leave. They gave a much better tutorial on how to operate the thermostat that's connected to the security system and what to look for if the connection's broken. A guy showed us how to replace the battery inside the door alarm. I wish Vivint would keep up the monitoring that they're doing and that the customer knows if there's any upgrading or whatever that can be done. But as far as the service that they're providing now, it's okay except for the issues that I’ve had and there's still peace of mind there knowing that the system is working.

We were looking for a security system and my friends recommended Vivint so we ended up purchasing it. I got outside and inside cameras, thermostat, the locking the door automatically from the app, and carbon monoxide and fire detectors. I wanted to make sure that I'm watching over my kids and also for the warning in case we're asleep. Customer service has been good. It's just I don't have time to be calling them all the time when something's going on. The installer was great. He was friendly and he told me what he was doing. He also educated me on the system.
However, every time I try to unlock my door it doesn't unlock. If I try to turn on the system, it doesn't turn on. Sometimes I have to do it manually. I'm paying for this stuff and sometimes some of the recordings don't show up. It says that I got a visitor at the door and when I go in there, there's no recording. Customer service told me that I need to update the panel. I've updated my app. It's horrible. It would have been better if everything works and that it does what it's supposed to be doing.

It’s been a week since I had my new system installed. The system is great and I love it. However when he changes my lock he didn’t put it in straight and I cannot use the my phone to unlock or lock because the door doesn’t line up. And if my door isn’t locked the door opens. Is there someone who can fix this? I’d prefer not to have the same fellow come out.

The camera are a complete joke, they only record for 30 seconds and then take 5-6 minutes to reboot. Complete waste of time and money. I wish someone in the company would have explained things a little more clearer because this is a complete joke.

We’ve had Vivint for at least six years. We've had ADT before and their monitoring was awful. ADT would report alarms and events hours to days later. Based on personal experience, Vivint is the best on the market. The response time average is seven seconds on an alarm and you can’t find that anywhere else. We've had doorbell cameras, window and door sensors, carbon monoxide, smoke, and heat detectors from them and I'm very satisfied with their quality. The Vivint reps have all been extremely helpful, everybody from the customer service at the 800 number to the installers. Both of the installers at my previous residence and then the installer at the house that we just moved to have been top-notch.

One of my cousins had Vivint in his house. The installer came, explained everything and finished his job in an hour. We have the regular touchscreen alarm system installed and with the way that he explained it, we understood everything. The alarm went off a couple of times and we got a prompt action from them. Everything has been perfect and I'm very satisfied with Vivint.

I was trying to call and the customer service of Vivint was terrible. I can’t get through. I bought additional gear that could link up with the system. I had to call them to unlock it and add it in. But I don't have 25 minutes to stay on hold waiting for them. Also I can't control the locks anymore but the camera is okay.

My experience with Vivint was negative. We can't keep our internet connection hooked up to it. Which means none of the security alarms and cameras work. I spoke to them about it a month and a half ago. There was no assistance offered. Instead, they gave me a song and dance about how it was my responsibility to get the internet connected to it.
My initial interaction was good when they sold us the program. The technicians who came out to install the security system was really good. It worked fine for about 60 days when all of a sudden it just decided it didn't want to recognize the internet system. The problem is not with our internet provider. The internet is working fine. We can use it on telephones and laptops. It's just really not connected to the security system. To this date, Vivint hasn't offered any assistance to help us connect the security system back. The service we received when they first got it hooked up and got it working was excellent, and then when it quit and I called in the customer service for assistance, they told me to do this, do that. They even said I'm not doing it right. So I told them to just send somebody to show me how it is done but they said they don't do that. Their system should just be in the pile in the corner.

We've had the Vivint security system for a little over a year and we're happy with the service we got. Everything's been working fine. I like the ability to arm the system with the app wherever we are. The installer for the security system was really friendly and knowledgeable. He did a good job of telling us about the different features of the system and how it worked. He had basically given us some training on it.

We’ve been with another company for quite some time and we were not very pleased with the way things were being taken care of. We decided to change and we were in the process of looking when a man came to the house and told us about Vivint. They offered me some things that I didn't have. We signed up with them and we're well pleased with everything. The installation team did an excellent job and made sure everything was working. They changed over my system and gave me awesome things for signing up with them. And my monitoring is fairly cheap. As long as it stays reasonable, I'll stay with them. But if it gets too far out of whack, then I'll change to another company. And I’ve had a rate deduction since I've been with them. I pay $43 now. So, everything's been good.
We’ve had them for about three years now and we’re negotiating on a system upgrade to go wireless. I have everything and would also like to have a camera on my doorbell so I can watch things on that. I want to make sure that I got all my windows, garage door and everything monitored. About a year ago, I just wanted to upgrade the panel. They wanted a one-time charge of around $200 and I said, “No.” I didn't want to pay that much because it didn’t bother me to have wires on. Everything was pre-wired in the house. It’s been a while and I haven't heard from anybody. It would be nice to have wireless, but it doesn’t have to be. I like the thermostat and the lights that I can do with my phone. People ought to give Vivint a try.

My family were all from the Provo-Salt Lake area, so Vivint is pretty big out there. The sales rep came and listened to exactly what we were wanting, and he was able to model the package what we wanted for the most part. I have the HD cameras, a doorbell camera, and several sensors throughout the house from them. We live out in the country, so it's easier to feel better having a couple of those things. We've been looking at Ring and other brands, but none of them were like an actual monitoring service to the way we wanted it. The install guy worked pretty late into the evening, did a great job, and was very kind and courteous. They ended up installing several on our street on that week. Vivint has been pretty popular in our neighborhood.
We've had a couple of issues I needed to look into, but I've been able to troubleshoot them myself. Every once in a while, when I try to talk through the doorbell to whoever is ringing the doorbell through my phone, they can't hear me. It's quiet and I can't figure out how to turn up the volume. But if I use my wife's phone, it works.
We also had a couple of issues where we lost connectivity to the router, but we were able to fix that. It might have been a power glitch. But what I liked about it was finding it out thru my phone app which alerted me that connectivity had been lost. When I forget that I have it on when I'm heading out, the system tells me what sensors have been tripped and I'm able to go to the touch pad or use my phone and disarm it. There's an announcement that the garage door or the front door had been opened, and then it's telling the alarm's going off. The service has been pretty good and I've been pretty satisfied with the equipment so far. It's been seamless with Vivint.

We have the cameras, the doorbell camera, the indoor cameras, the app that monitors or updates, the door lock, etc. It was pretty much for the same price as the alarm company I was using before but had all these additional features I didn't have before. The sales reps were good and the installers were great. They took care of everything and they were able to take care of unexpected changes immediately. There was a time when we set it off by accident. We input the code immediately but they still called to verify so it’s been good. Vivint was referred by a family member and I’m very happy with them. We've recommended them to many people, too. They have great quality equipment and I’ve had a positive experience with them.

We had been wanting to get cameras for a while. Vivint happened to be doing walk-arounds, and their sales reps were great. When we first did it, we were having a little difficulty starting the account, but the guy came back immediately and helped us with that and fixed it. The install guy was also great. He did it exactly what we asked. We wanted to see if he could kind of hide the wires and he had no problem doing that. Right now, we have two cameras and the lock on the door that we can lock with our apps. So far, we love our Vivint system. I’ve recommended it to people before. Their employees are respectful and it definitely helped to sell the product.

Then Vivint did a door-to-door marketing campaign in Oklahoma City and they came around at a convenient time so I signed up. Their installation team arrived on time and were great. It took them two hours to set things up and now we have a good user-friendly system. I like it and I'm happy with Vivint.

I have the doorbell, the door and window sensors, as well as the mobile app. Though the installers were efficient I've had a lot of problems with the equipment. They have fixed it for the most part but once they left another thing pops up. Like the garage door sensor doesn't work and I needed to have them come back again. It has taken off so much time from work to do that.

We moved to a new house and we got the alarms system from Vivint. When I called to set it up, the guy I spoke to was awesome and he didn't pressure me into anything. I told him what I was looking for and he made sure I had his information. I told him I'd call him back when I decided to do it, and when I did, it's when we got it all set up, and he was excellent. The installation team was good when they first came out. We did have some issues and somebody had to come out again, but they were great and we haven't had really any problems with any of the people involved.
We like the service so far but initially, we couldn't hear our doorbell and the people talking. We still have problems sometimes with hearing and we still can't hear the person talking back to us in the house. If I'm not at home and I go to my phone and say something to somebody in the house, I can't hear that person respond back, but I can hear the doorbell sound and the rest of it. They fixed it, and when the guy was here, I was able to hear the person, but now I can’t hear again so I don’t know if it’s our internet or not. Vivint should follow up after the installation to make sure that everything is going well, but no one did that with us because after they installed our stuff, they left. If we had any problems, we can press the thing on the panel and reach somebody, but you can’t do that because they’ll have to give you an 800 number. My experience haven't been so horrible, and I've recommended Vivint a couple of times to people.

I had a security system but it wasn't the one that I wanted to use. I knew what I wanted to get then the Vivint rep came and knocked at my door. He was extremely nice and there was a promotion going on at the time. There were things that came with the system and the deal was if I signed the contract for five years, I get all of those stuff. One thing that was also interesting was that when I called Vivint for help, their on-hold message said that they didn't have long-term contracts.
The guy who installed the system did a good job. The first time it was installed, they placed it where my old security system was. But there was an issue with it, so they came back, reinstalled and fixed it with no problem. It's always been a good experience with them. They've always been helpful and they resolved my issues fairly quick. Their device doesn't pick up the best connection in my house, though, so whenever I'm having an issue it's hard for them to remotely address it. So I had to climb in my attic and look for certain things they were asking for and they were very patient, understanding and very helpful. Never once did they seem irritated with the fact that I had no clue. Everybody was also very nice and professional every time.

DO NOT PURCHASE A SYSTEM FROM THESE FOLKS! If you cannot refrain from purchasing their system because you absolutely fall in love with their service, have an attorney read their contract before you sign!!! My mom was living with me when she became interested in purchasing a home security system because of her age. My mom contacted Vivint and had a salesman come out to discuss the purchase of the security system home. My mom was very excited about the protection that the agent discussed and wanted to purchase the system. When I returned from work, the agent was still talking with her. The agent told me that since I was the owner of the home, I needed to sign a document "release" that would allow the company to install their equipment in my house.
What he did NOT mention was that he was binding me personally (NOT MY MOM) into a contract with them for five years!!! I did not find out that I was bound to the system under the contract until I recently placed my home on the market for sale. I contacted Vivint to find out how realtors enter the house with the alarm system in place. When I asked how I close the account, I learned that I am bound to the contract for the full five years and can only buy my way out of the contract for $2876.40! Another interesting piece of additional evidence that the account belongs to my mom is that Vivint has a phone application that manages their security systems. It is downloaded to my phone. The account on my phone is identified as belonging to my mom, not to me!!!
This business should have a conscience! I asked about transferring the service to a new home that I might be purchasing. They told me that if the service was available, they might be able to do it. In reality, I want NOTHING to do with them again! Why would I want to have a company that does shady things install an alarm system in another home of mine? I want the remaining months of the contract after my home is sold to be dropped.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They lied to me multi times and have ended up costing me a lot of money and stress. When I sold my house I included the system because Vivint said I could easily transfer services. I asked 3 different times how to do that and made sure it would be an easy transition for the new owners. It was not. The new owners where livid. I had to wait a month to get the equipment uninstalled so that I could take it back and pay for it and a service I can't use in my new apt.
When uninstalling it they left the equipment with the new owner who now has nice new equipment that they know is expensive and no reason to give it back to me. When I call to Dr how the uninstallation is going they tell me they took the equipment and I get brand new stuff. I don't believe it and ask them to double check. They do and no I am responsible for that equipment that I now can't get back. These people lie! They say anything to get you off the phone and take your money. Now I get to pay for a four year contract and equipment I let sure to their negligence.

We had a person from Vivint come door-to-door and sign us up. We thought that that might be a good time for us to get a home security system, and so we signed up for their plan. The initial sales approach and the installation went perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with that part of the process. However, we had a number of false alarms due to faulty equipment in my opinion. We called into their service desk. They clickety-clicked around on the back end of their system, and said, “Oh, yeah. It should be fine now.” And then we get another false alarm. In total, we’ve had five false alarms based on the sensors in one of the rooms. We’ve also had a faulty door sensor. The control panel has gone offline a couple of times, and the cameras have dropped offline numerous times where it will require a reboot of network.
Vivint replaced the door sensor. They’ve had their tech support team update the firmware on the control panel. When the cameras have gone offline, they said, “Oh, that’s a network connectivity issue with your internet provider. You have to unplug the wireless access point for those cameras and plug it back and reboot it.” That’s basically all they did on that side.
The false alarms have been the most frustrating. You set your system up, you’ll leave and you’ll get a call that there’s an alarm going off. After the third, fourth, fifth time, you go, “Okay. I’m not getting broke into or am I?” And I also don’t want the local police department saying, “Oh, it’s this family again having issues.” We’ve had them dispatched once. And then I had a dispatch cancelled. The rest of the time when they called, it’s been a frustration where I just say, “Don’t dispatch. We’ll deal with it.”
The after hour support has been spotty as far as the availability of technicians. They have mentioned in their announcement as you’re waiting on hold that the hurricanes and the fires have been causing them problems. They need to staff up when they have problems like that so others can get support. I did some reading on my own and did some changes to see if that’s going to make a difference, based on their website. It didn’t. I’m going to probably call back and tell them to cancel it and figure out how I can get out of my payment contract for the hardware.

A friend of mine recommended Vivint. I already had a company but Vivint was going to be less expensive so I went with them. The service package included pretty much what I had before like my garage doors, front door, sliding glass door on the deck and the downstairs windows. The one thing that I didn't like at the beginning was that with my previous company, I had two consoles, one in the garage and one upstairs, but I only had one upstairs when I first got Vivint. They eventually designed a secondary console and added that to my system. It was still not 100% good because if I go downstairs, open the garage door mistakenly and forget to disarm the alarm, then I have to run all the way up through two flights of upstairs to sit there and talk to the people. The audio didn't come out of the auxiliary console which I’m not happy about but I live with it.
Their sales reps were good but I initially wanted the second console and they couldn't give it to me, so I was disappointed. But they all seem to be professional and knowledgeable. Their installation team went out and piggybacked off a lot of my existing wiring because it was less expensive to do that. They got all the installation done and it was a lot less of the hassle since they were using the wireless sensors. They added my wired sensors to it so it came out like I have the same system.
The one addition I had was speaking directly to the Vivint people when there was an alarm. Also, we got a remote key for the system to turn it on and off. I haven't had that before but everybody has them now. The contractor is always an issue especially if you're not planning on staying in the same house for a long, long time. Other than that, Vivint has a lot of new things now going into the smart home type stuff which allows you to control your front door locks and house temperature, but I haven't gotten to any of that.

I've had Vivint for a long time. All my doors got sensors and I also got smoke detectors. When I first got this system I was working night and the wife was working days so when I go to work at night I would turn it on but we hardly even turn it on now since there’s always somebody in the house. Also the reps used to come by and check on me but they haven't been around for a year so I just pay the bill. Vivint’s service was okay but it’s kind of expensive.

I’d only been here in Central Oregon for a few months and somebody had tried to break into my house. I have some very good friends that live in that town where I moved from and they told me that their grandson, Brian, is a salesman for Vivint at a BestBuy store. I asked that they give him my phone number so I could talk with him about it. He called me and we had a good conversation over the phone about the company and everything that they offer. I thought about it after talking with him and weighed what my options were against my needs. Then, I called him back and made an appointment to see him.
I like Brian's approach. He was very knowledgeable about the product and he didn't pressure me. He was more concerned with what I needed and he was trying to help me. I appreciated that because a lot of times you’ll go to a big store and they’re just trying to sell you something because they need to make sales. But, this was a whole different feel and we discussed and made a plan of the things that I needed in my house because it’s an old small home. I purchased the product and another gentleman came and installed it for me.
I was having a little bit of trouble at first with being able to monitor stuff on my panel so I called the helpline and I got a lot of help from the rep. What I needed to do was fine tune some of the settings from my cameras because some were set too high. We adjusted those and that worked great. It was a very positive experience and I'm very happy with the whole thing from start to finish. Having the system gave me some peace of mind. When I had techs from a landscaping company come to winterize my in-ground sprinkler system, one of them asked if he could come in and see my security system so I showed him. He was impressed with what I have so I referred him to Brian.

Somebody from Vivint was in my neighborhood and told me about the products and what they’ll be able to offer. And then I got their package with the smoke detector, the doorbell camera and some window break. I also use phone Apps for Tablet. I’ve been with them for a year now and I like the convenience and the features. The reps, as well as the installation team, have been knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I’ve had a lot of equipment problem though. The panels have to be completely replaced. It gave a false alarm and then I got charged from the city and it was a mess for a little while.

We opted to go with Vivint because of the technology they offered, specifically the doorbell camera. We already had a system installed by our builder so the only things Vivint needed to do was put in their panel, the doorbell, a glass shatter box and a smoke alarm. This process took their tech FIVE hours. He was new and had to be on the phone the entire time being told how to do the install. Next day, we notice the doorbell camera is offline and everything they tell us to do to fix it fails. They then send an experienced tech out.
He gets it working for one day. Mind you, when the doorbell isn't working it literally only rings on the actual doorbell outside and you have no idea anyone is at the door. I missed two important appointments due to this. I then called in to see why it wasn't working. We went over ways to try and fix it but to no avail. By this point we decided to terminate service as we need a company that is reliable enough to protect our home. To do the uninstall I first said that I needed my doorbell back that the original tech took with him.
He was supposed to mail it back to me but I never received it. I followed up with him and he told me he gave it to his manager to mail out to me. Today I find out that this was a lie. Cust svc contacted the manager and he confirmed the tech never gave him the doorbell. Then they tried scheduling for the same tech to come do the uninstall. Seriously? Just no! If you want to work with a company that values cust svc and holds all of their employees to the highest ethical standards then don't use a Vivint! On a final note, I was supposed to have an uninstall appt for 10-12 pm arrival time today. No one showed up so I had to call in. They said "oh, it looks like your scheduled for 12-4 pm. Really? Is that why both the confirmation text and email said 10-12pm. Where is the communication? Still can't get the system uninstalled because no one seems to know where my doorbell is currently.

I had previously been a customer of ADT for the past 10 years, my family too. When a neighbor told me about Vivint and the technology that was offered with their security I looked into it as I have been very interested in getting Smart home technology. I checked online to see what the others thought, and It had bad reviews all over the internet. I had a hard time finding anything positive actually. I was confused because it came so highly recommend by my neighbor whom I trust.
I decided to have the guy come over to speak with my family that set up my neighbor. He was very nice, and was straightforward about the system options, capabilities, and contract. Although it was a 5 year commitment, I didn't mind because I'm not planning on not having security anytime soon. The 0% financing was what sold me because I can pay off my equipment anytime I want and my bill will drop down to what I am currently paying with my existing security provider and have 10x the technology. It also allowed me to get all the cameras door locks, thermostats etc I wanted without taking my nest egg. The system itself works great!! Had to have the tech come back once a few weeks into my service to fix a minor bug, but then have had no issues. The response time is so fast, and the technology works so well. I highly recommend this to anyone!!

My experience with this company started with their predatory sales technique. Within minutes of the police leaving a home that was burglarized during daylight hours, a salesman showed up at my home and started his pitch with my home-alone, Alzheimer's suffering, bed-ridden wife. He had her sign a five year contract, assuring her that the service was essentially free since the insurance rates on the home would be lowered with their protection service.
Within minutes of my wife signing the contract, an installer showed up and, after drilling several holes in our walls, finished his work. On returning home that evening I called the company and asked them to remove their equipment, and terminate the contract. I was threatened with a collection agency for the full five-year contract. I finally agreed to let the contract ride, with the tacit understanding that at the end of five years, the equipment and service would be removed. Never happened. All I get is a run-around from their employees. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

The alarm is not communicating with your service. When I called in about it I was told we were not connected to the internet. Our business has been unprotected and we were not aware of it since the panel shows we are armed. Two appointments were set up between 4:00pm & 8:00pm and no one came either time. I was not notified they were not coming. The 3rd appointment was set up for Saturday so I called first to see if they were coming and was told it had been changed to this Monday. I had not been notified of that at that time. I later received an e-mail saying I had an 8-10am appointment on the 13th, which I will keep. Hopefully you all will too this time. The worst thing is it not communicating and us having no way to know this. Is there a way to check it?

I wanted my house to be secure so I have the video cameras, the breakout glass or glass break, fire and motion detector from Vivint. The salesperson was good. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative and very professional. And any interaction I do have with Vivint has always been good and I've been with them for a couple of years now. In my area, unfortunately, we have power surges and brownouts. So, at times that causes a problem with your particular unit. Other than that, everything is good. I'm extremely satisfied.

I can lock and unlock the door and monitor the activity that goes on in my house from my phone. I have a teenage son living with me so it's been helpful. The system of Vivint is very convenient and user-friendly. Talking with the sales rep was wonderful. The installation went fine and I barely knew they were there. However, I wish that the prices could be a little lower. I think more people would be out to do it if the prices were more reasonable.

We originally signed with Vivint when we lived in Ohio five years ago. There was a group going around our neighborhood selling their service. Then we moved out-of-state and we had a hard time getting the system set up in the new house. The installer that they brought us had some issues and he had to come back. So, it wasn’t flawless, but we finally got it set up. Also, we've had to wait a long time to get someone out here when we had a bad sensor that kept going off because they don't have enough servicemen in our area to support Vivint. Other than that, we've been satisfied with the security services. But they need to not offer it if they don't have good service coverage in the area.

The sales rep said everything I wanted to hear after my house got robbed. But from that point on it’s been no good at all. The installation was bad. There were holes on my walls and the cameras were not installed in the right places. They did not specifically clean up after themselves either. There was sawdust from the door mounts that they left.
Once I turned my AC on it didn’t work and then it took two more weeks to get it installed. But I had a higher HVAC person come out to find out what was wrong with my new heater and then come to find out it wasn’t anything to do with my system but it was Vivint's components. Like the control thing I bought that didn't work. I wish I didn’t order Vivint's system and spent the money on it. I would not tell anyone else to shop there.

I called Vivint and someone explained their service to me. They have great customer service and the installer did an excellent job. My house is an old house and things had to be done a little different than what they were used to, but he worked it out and got it done. Things are a little better now that I have their service available. I like having the camera and that I could operate the system with the phone. Their system also helps me with my kid since I'm a single parent and I get to keep an eye on my boy. Everything is pretty much on point right now. My house is secure and I could leave home at any time. Also, the guy that came to my house was from Florida and was helping Vivint here in Raleigh. He gave me some pamphlets which were outdated but I've shared them with others and I have a couple of referrals.

The initial installation was excellent. 2 weeks after, horrible. Our system hasn't worked properly in days and when I called I spent at least 30 min with a technician- after calling 3 times- to get no resolution. I was also unable to reach the installer and now our system has quit altogether. I'm not paying for something that isn't working. I was also told we'd get one system and the installer brought what he wanted.

We had ADT before and it seems to be so complicated. A friend did tell us about Vivint and then their rep came to the door, we didn't contact them, and we decided to go with them. The salesman was very good. We got their camera in the back and front, the doorbell camera and the garage door opener. Then we've had problems with the doorbell but they came to correct it. Then we had a second problem and they had to come back and fix it. It's working properly. The young fellow that came to install was very nice. But because of how the system works, they had to wait for a part to come. Because the panel wouldn't function, to begin with, they had to wait for somebody to come and bring a new panel. So, it was after midnight before they left and that was not pleasant.

I would absolutely recommend this system to anyone who is looking for a top-of-the-line security system without spending top-of-the-line prices. I don't like spending money but this has definitely been a worthwhile purchase. Knowing the alarm is set and the house is secure helps me sleep a lot easier at night. The Nest thermostat is a feature I didn't realize I'd love some much. A much-needed upgrade from our old thermostat and it's already saved us quite a bit on our heating/cooling bill. It's also really nice that I can customize the security system myself as time goes on if I wish to. If you're looking for a home security system, this one should definitely be at the top of your list.

We always wanted the security, the thermostat, and the doorbell camera from Vivint. We like the service and the cameras are nice to have. However, it’s relying on WiFi to get everything working and every once in a while the WiFi doesn’t want to work since it’s a little slow. Other than that, it's been a satisfactory experience for me.

We have four cameras, sky panels and a doorbell I can talk out of from Vivint. I just wished the cameras were a lot better. They get real blurry sometimes. In case someone breaks in, I need it really accurate. When I go back and play the clips, they show the pictures really good, but when I check the cameras manually, it doesn't show a good picture. Also, if there was any video ever deleted, I'd like a log or a history of it. In the area that I’m living in, there are people breaking into a lot of cars right now. Since having Vivint, I feel a lot better when I'm sleeping.

We had Vivint's security system installed and there were little issues in the beginning. There were few bugs to work out and I had a couple of service guys come out a couple of times and they seemed to have straightened them out. In addition, the installation wasn’t too great, initially. The guy came and I thought I heard him drilling while I was doing other things. I didn’t know he was drilling to my two by four's in my garage and it melted the wires. I got holes in each and every one of them now for about 14 feet. I don’t know why he felt he had to go drill holes to every two by four to run his wiring. You don’t just go in someone’s home and drill holes in some of the two by fours in the garage to put wires through and it was in it somewhere where I can put my tools or stuff, and just hit and break the wire.
I wasn’t too happy when I saw that. I had to have them come back and I made sure I was out there watching him the second time. I told him how I wanted it done and if he can't do it, I told him not to include it in. When I showed him how to run the wire to the ceiling, it worked out even better because the outlet was right there. Other than that, I like the outdoor camera and the doorbell camera. I’m waiting for the temperature and the weather to change to see how the cameras and everything hold up in cold weather.

We recently moved into the neighborhood. A Vivint representative came to us because our house was a newer home. She had a brochure and she sat down with us. She went over all of the features and the different types for each level of service that we would get. At that time, we weren’t ready to do anything. We had a lot of stuff going on. Once we were ready to go ahead and start our home security system, we called the agent back out and talked to her. She was really nice. She told us everything upfront. She did everything that she promised and got us started on our system. The technician who came out was really nice and professional. He installed it without any issues at all.
We have no problems with the cost or billing, but customer service is where it gets a little rocky. We were told that we would get two key fobs for our alarm system. The technician said that they didn’t have any and that he would order it and bring them back in about two weeks. He called me about three weeks or so and said that he still hadn’t received them.
Also, we get emails from Vivint a lot, stating that we could potentially get a discount on our homeowner’s insurance with letting our insurance know that we have monitoring. And so, I’ve called my insurance agent. He said that we needed to have a certificate that Vivint is actually monitoring our home and submit that. And then, we will be able to get our discount. I called Vivint and it was really hard to get in contact with anyone. It really wasn’t clear. The option that I chose, while they were nice, I felt like it was looking for the Wizard of Oz.
I finally got a chance to talk to someone and after explaining my situation again that I was to get two key fobs to go with the system that we were promised, he said it would take two more weeks. He also said, “I’ll give you my number and you’ll have someone that you can actually talk to." Over time, we kind of forgot about it. When the batteries on our automatic key lock were going out, I got an email. Then it got me to thinking about these key fobs that we still haven’t gotten. And we still haven’t received that letter stating that we have our monitoring through Vivint.
I wasn't comfortable going through that whole process of trying to call their customer service, talking to someone and probably end up having to explain the situation all over again. And then, they would tell me that we’re going to have to wait two more weeks after we’ve been waiting almost six months to get these two key fobs. While the reps are nice, I think the company might be a little smaller. And so, it’s not as important to follow through on things. I’ve never had anything happen like this before. I’ve worked at customer service pretty much my entire life so I understand how it works. I’ve also worked with smaller companies so I understand how taking care of customers is important. I am very dissatisfied. If it’s something as simple as this, then what else can slip through?

A salesman came to our door, right place at the right time! My wife and I had been discussing what type of security we wanted and had come to the conclusion that we were going to go to Best Buy and purchase one of their systems the next day! He was incredibly friendly and explained everything they do and was upfront with all costs. My favorite part was the part where he said my wife would be able to see who is at the door and would no longer be convinced to buy things! The same day we signed the agreement was the same day everything was installed, it's wonderful! We have now learned we have some very hungry greedy raccoons living in our yard as well. Vivint came to my front door three or four months ago. They were very pleasant and informative. The young man that did the installation was a good kid but a little cocky. He opened my refrigerator and he felt like he was at home or like we were his family. But I don't think they're all like that because I've had other technicians here. Other than that, I was pleased with their service. They've been very responsive to any problems that we've had. I also like that I can manage the system remotely.

I was at my mother's house when a Vivint sales rep showed up. He was professional, knew what he was talking about and explained everything really well. She got the system and the sales rep gave me his card. When we moved in down the street from her a couple of days later, we ended up getting the system as well. The installer was quick and thorough. He did so much of the installation then there was one other thing he needed so he came back the very next day. It only took him five minutes to complete it.
The people that had the house before already had the Vivint thermostats so we have those tied in with our system. Then we have three cameras and the doorbell, one in the driveway and one in the back. So far, the system has been pretty good. In fact, last night we were using the doorbell camera to see when the trick-or-treaters were coming. It's pretty neat and convenient. I like it. We can access it, arm and un-arm it, and do everything from our phone. We can also change the temperature when it gets cold through the phone and we didn’t have to go upstairs to change it.

The Vivint system is the coolest alarm system that we've had thus far. We can see who's at our door and if somebody rings our doorbell outside the door we can speak to them and that's amazing. It feels like our home is safe. Also, the guy who came out to do the installation was the funniest and coolest installer guy whom I've ever had before. He was super nice, awesome and helpful. He walked us through the process of how he installed everything, gave us instructions on how to use the panel and gave us some tips on the motion detectors. It's good all the way around. Vivint is fantastic.

We were in a situation where we can use house protection when we're not home. Cole, a nice young man, came to our door and told us about Vivint. He was straightforward and friendly. The service has been great so far. We've had one incident where we didn't wait long enough after we disconnected it to push the button. When we came, the front line went off and we just called right away. All in all, it's been an easy, simple, and satisfactory experience.

I had ADT prior to Vivint. I switched because I liked the products that Vivint was offering versus ADT. But when they came out and installed the Vivint system, they disconnected my landline. I had to call them back and have them come out and pull up my line. The guy said that most people don't use landlines anymore so he just assumed that I wasn't using mine and he disconnected it. I told him I use my landline. He came back that same day and got my landline hooked back up. But, the installation went fine. They had to come out and make some adjustments a couple of times but I've never had any issues with anybody who came out. They all came out when they said that they were going to and they were always able to fix whatever issues I had.
I didn't have the doorbell camera and the outside camera, all I had was the original equipment so I figured to upgrade to those items. However, I noticed that the cameras inside the home did not record at night if there was a break-in and I was away from home. If it recorded, it couldn't pick up anything. But I've upgraded to a new system that has infrared light. The only thing I didn't like about that versus the original cameras I had was it didn't rotate. Other than that, Vivint has been outstanding. I've recommended three or four people to Vivint since I've gotten the system. I wrote for my brother about the Vivint system in Georgia, and my sister just got it down in North Carolina.

I'm not too happy with Vivint but I really liked it in the beginning. The fact that they could talk to us is an easy way of knowing if there's trouble in the house because they're talking and you could hear them. But their alarm goes off a lot on its own. Like last night, it was beeping crazy, every 10 minutes, and it beeps loud. And it went off a couple of times and we were just sleeping. We had reported that before, it would say garage doors open so now you get up and you worry, you have to go and check out the house. And nobody broke into the house once you go looking. It's not a pleasure.
We purchased the service package that includes the cameras but I have heard that it's not recording until someone breaks in. That's our concern, like in front of the house, if they stole something from out of the car. We have the cameras and we couldn't see anything. We called and they said that they're not recording unless if somebody breaks in the house like when the alarm goes off. I would like a system that records. I need it to be recording the whole time for a business. Other than that, their personnel was nice and their installation team was good too.

We had Vivint before, so we were able to put the component in the same place. The price was a big issue but there were also some advantages to it like we could put it online, so I could look at my phone and tell what the temperature of my thermostats was set at and it was something totally new to us. It even had an emergency button and I was able to get it for my disabled husband. Sometimes, he opens the door not realizing that it hasn't been disarmed yet. Vivint calls very timely, asks if everything is okay and as soon I explain to them what happened, they're good to go. They also have a security password and if I give it to them and my name, we're ready to go as well. They were polite, courteous and always helpful to me. They arrived when they said they would and they didn't take long. Overall, it was a good service and I enjoyed doing business with them. They are reliable and they make me feel safe in my home.

Vivint redid my security system. They put cameras and a thermostat in my house. Everything has been good, except for one time when my panel went out and it took four weeks for them to send someone to change it. The one they sent to do that was good and super nice though.

I’ve been with Vivint at least three years. The service representative who came to check on system said he upgraded it but nothing’s really changed. He did lower our bill of $5 a month. The package we have includes the notification on each door when it’s open. We also have the motion detector in the living room and the severe weather alert. I would like to be able to have something further back in the house so I could hear it. The rep and I talked about it but it seemed to be very expensive to get anything else put in the back of the house. I’ve talked with ADT and they said they can give me more for the amount of money I’m paying but I know I’m still under contract to Vivint.
We had one experience where our granddaughter came in the house when we were out of town and Vivint contacted us. They were about to call the police. They insisted to talk to us at that time saying that someone invaded our home. I was driving so I asked them if I can call them back but the rep said that they really need to talk to me so I understood that. Also, there have been many times that they’ve contacted us if we couldn’t remember our password. They have been very nice. Those interactions with their service reps went fine.

I got a monitor, a doorbell camera, two outdoor cameras, and an inside camera from Vivint. At the beginning, I got a lot of problems like issues with the sensor and my system getting knocked out offline. It took a moment for them to come out because of my schedule. I was glad to get it fixed because it was useless to have a camera and I can't get them to get it to log on to my app to monitor my home when I'm away. It was very inconvenient for me and I was disappointed. When I called and talked to a representative to set the system online remotely, no one had the capability do that. They need to work out some of the glitches, but everything's been good lately and I'm very satisfied.

A coworker of mine had Vivint and showed me all the cool features on his phone. Then two years later, I got it. I have two thermostats, two interior cameras, one exterior camera and the doorbell camera. I like the feature where everyone has their own pin number for the front door, and when we moved to a new area, we wanted the smart home features where everything is controllable through it. It's a great system and I've had no problems. It's cool how we can add on different switches and outlets and different features.
The local sales rep would stop by just to see how everything was going and if I knew anybody that was interested for a referral. Also, the installer was very friendly, helpful and informative. They walked us through everything. I've even talked to him after the installation because I needed to know how to do something additional. Overall I’m completely satisfied with Vivint's service.

Worst experience with a company. Faulty equipment. Refused to replace equipment. Paid upfront and equipment didn’t work and they would not replace it. Had a tech out 3x in the first week. Company was not willing to make it right. Terrible on all ends. Offered me $25. Lol. I asked them to pull out all the “brand new” equipment and replace it since I had problems with all of it. They told me no But offered me $25. At that point I set up a cancellation appointment for them to remove the equipment and when they showed up they still tried to fix it instead of removing it. Just not a good experience. Still waiting for my refund.

I purchased from Vivint the sensor and cameras. Somebody had tried to open our garage door. Now, I can see my kids while I’m washing something in the living room through the toy’s room camera. Plus, I like the doorbell camera as I can see who’s in the front of my door when I’m not here. A family member has Vivint and we met a person who did paperwork. I gave the information to my husband. The installation team was fast. We called them at night and they did everything the same day and I’m grateful for that.

When Vivint initially came out, they were fine even though they set up an appointment and didn't show up. Had we not called in to see what happened, we wouldn't have known. We really like the equipment itself and the service is good, so far, minus us having issues with the doorbell camera. It had to be replaced twice, along with the sensors on the back door. We showed the technician the system that he cancelled but didn’t call and explain why. I would have cancelled my services, but it's not the worst to stay in it though I was threatened with that. The cancellation policy was also worded differently too. The billing and customer service have not been the best at all.

My experience with Vivint is great. I've been with them for some time. They responded when someone tried to break into the home, when my battery was low and when the smoke detector went off. Their response is great and they're doing what they said they would do. They're protecting me and my home. Their customer service is great as well. They answered the phone in a proper manner and were always apt to answer my question. I have recommended them to my niece.

About a week prior to being approached by representatives from Vivint, a neighbor was broken into. So we purchased the service package that includes a sensor for glass in one room, sensors for the garage doors and the front and back doors. They'll make noise whenever they're open. However, we had issues with our phone app about connecting to their app. We've reached out to them about four times now and they said they will help us with the update. But the problem is, we had to pay for the installation of the update which doesn't make sense because we rent the equipment at $50 a month.
So right now, one of our garage doors doesn't make a sound when you open it and they won't replace it unless I pay. A part of it is free which still doesn't make sense to me if I am paying rent for it. I also remember them saying that when the equipment runs down, they're going to replace them for free. Other than that, the installation team was pretty good. When I told them that our app wouldn't work, we went through three different people until one of them got it right. Also, we've had several times where we've left the house and it said the door was not closed so we went back to check. Though it doesn't do that all the time, it is still a sensor problem.

I am very satisfied with my Vivint Smart Home Pro system which makes me feel very secure in my home. The ease with which to use the system is very good and not hard to remember how to activate each step. The camera functions at the door as well as on my cell phone are welcomed added security. First, I really liked the product when it was installed. Everything looked and worked great. However, less than a week after installation the doorbell camera just shut off so we called to have someone out to fix it. The tech never showed up so I had to call in and get transferred multiple times to find out the service call was rescheduled even though nobody told me. Not happy with the product not working less than a week after installation and I'm not happy about the service guy not showing up without calling me. For the price I'm paying ($55 a month), the value just isn't there right now and I hope it is resolved soon.

I had Vivint installed, and I like it overall. However, the Mobile App doesn't work. It always shows a problem with one of the locks, saying it is unlocked, while it is locked. I can never unlock it for people remotely because the App shows it is unlocked already when it isn't. This capability is the primary reason I chose Vivint and now I regret it. I contacted support and they had me uninstall and re-install the app, which I did and it fixed the problem only for a few minutes. I repeated the process and it never worked again. I have tried contacting support and the wait times are always more than 30 mins, which I assume the reason is they are walking people through un-install and re-install process of the apps. They need to do a better job of this, it's not rocket science.

The salesman from Vivint ended up lying to me. He never answered my phone calls. It took almost a week to get a stupid lousy sign. And the installers wouldn't even go above and beyond in getting me the sign and help me out. It was supposed to be zero installation but he charged me a $100 installation. He's got the credit card information and he took it off my credit card. Then all of a sudden, I've had some unauthorized use on my credit card recently and I don't know if it's him or what but I can't get a hold of them. I like their product but they suck. I'm not very happy at all. Vivint’s got a lot of work to do.

I was referred from a neighbor to Vivint. Their installers showed us how to use the system after they installed it. But I had an electrical problem with it. It went out and the cameras didn't come back on the way they're supposed to. It took Vivint a couple of times to get the issue fixed and their agent was once late because he got stuck in another job. But they eventually got it together and since then, the system has been doing exactly what they wanted it to do, so I’m very satisfied. I would recommend them.

I got a Vivint camera and I like to see who’s out there. One day, the camera was checking the guy in my yard and I was at work. I have heard of it and I thought it was my friend. But after I didn’t hear the door open, I checked it a little while later. And I said, "Oh, wait a minute. Hold on. Who’s that guy?" He knew where I would leave my money at and he thought I had money there. I didn’t know who he was, so I called the police. When they came, they caught him around the corner and he was a felon from another state. I got to get one for the back too. Also, we don't like the camera with the light in the doorbell because when I come out and come up to the door and ring the doorbell, once I get the camera on my phone it’s like they already left the door.

I got a panel, door, motion detectors and window sensors from Vivint because I need extra security in my house since I'm usually out. I'm highly satisfied with it. Their installers were very good, but when they came, they told me that I'd get a sign outside of my house and some stickers but I never got them. Their reps are also very good, polite and they help me out right away. I like that as soon as something goes out, I'd get a call from right away. Vivint has a very good response time.

The sales rep who sold us the Vivint system was a pleasant young man. He was helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the product. The package we selected included the console on the wall, the front and back door locks, a glass breakage alarm system, a camera and a thermostat. We had a good salesman and I’m satisfied with the service. The initial installation was fine and then we had some trouble last year so they installed a new panel for us. I was so impressed with the guy that I called Vivint to tell them what an asset they had on their staff. He really cared and wanted to make sure that by the time he left my house we were really happy and satisfied. Prior to the installation of the new panel, I had made up my mind that I wouldn’t be renewing when the expiry rolled around. It was because of the gentleman that came to our house and the way he chose to service us that changed my mind.

I'm very satisfied with Vivint's service so far. I've been with them for six months now and it's a very comfortable feeling knowing that my house is protected. I got them because of the crime in our area right now and the different things that have been going on. I like that I can see what's going on at the house when I'm away and that I'm able to talk through the doorbell instead of going to the door. I also like that both cameras have very clear pictures. My system is good but my front door is not working correctly, you can't lock them from the outside because of the door hold, and they just installed the system and now say they can't do anything with the door.

I really do love my Vivint system. Everything has really been great right up until you try to reach tech support. Once you get them on the phone almost all the techs have been great but the trick is having enough patience to actually get them on the phone. I've sent no less than 20 minutes during multiple calls waiting for a tech. However, during false alarms their monitoring center could not be better and I love the wireless equipment and system.

I love the whole system, but it's too sensitive and I can't get it to work right as it was demonstrated to me. If I can get it to stop giving false alarms, it would be awesome. The customer service is very good. Impressive. The only comment I have is that the doorbell is not working as I had hoped. I'm sure it's just my error, but need to fix it and can't.

Vivint's customer service is very good. The system is a great product, and the best thing was the garage door opener with the remote app. Two guys came and they were here for a couple of hours, and they put a couple of more signal boosters. I could definitely tell they cared. They tried to do their best to make sure everything was working properly. And it seemed to be working okay, so I'm happy with them.
What we're paying is high, but the way it was explained to me was that we're getting equipment installed for free. So, I'm paying for over time, which I'm okay with because I figured an estimate of what I would have to pay and have someone install it versus just doing it on my own, which I wasn't going to do. But when our three and a half years would be up, I'm looking forward to seeing the rate of just the monitoring.

Vivint's salesman walked up to my door and asked me if I had an alarm system. I did not have an alarm system in my house at the time so I was interested in how the whole thing worked. And so, he proceeded to give me a rundown of what it was and he has been great. I’ve had a great experience with Vivint over the few years that I’ve had it installed. It has been smooth sailing other than for the one door lock thing which I got replaced. The batteries had corroded and it wasn't working right so I told them and they sent me a new Campbell handle and I replaced it myself. I also had to do an update on the board but that’s normal with that kind of stuff. The ease and use of the system have been very nice and straightforward and the quality of the signal is great too. I’d have another one installed in a heartbeat if I move and the house doesn't have an alarm system in it.

Vivint had better reviews than ADT on the internet and when I talked to the people at ADT, the rep was trying to not sell ADT by saying, “It's stupid. They're magnets and anybody can open a window and blah, blah, blah.” But when I talked to Vivint’s salesman, he was positive about the company so that helped. I had it installed 10 months ago. The installation was great and the installer was incredibly friendly and on time and professional. The security system is great and everything has been positive although the price was a little high. $5 or $10 cheaper would be good, and it would be better if it was not a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Vivint was referred to me by a co-worker and I am satisfied with what I got from them. My favorite feature is the ability to control everything from a cellphone through the app. I dealt with their sales rep Nick and he’s great. He showed me everything and broke it down. I asked when they’d come by and he said that he’s got guys that got to check in 10 minutes. They were here in 10 minutes and the set of guys who came set everything up in less than two hours instead of four. Everything about my experience with Vivint was fine. The response time from their monitoring office was quick on the few times the alarm’s going off and we love it.

Some time ago, we had a Vivint salesperson knock on the door. I listened to him but I wasn’t totally motivated about getting a security system. Then, one of our friends lost thousands of dollars worth of items and jewelry after their third break-in. So we figured it was time to make a decision. We got to do something because we’re so vulnerable living out in the country and even though we have a few neighbors around, that doesn’t seem to stop the thieves. About the same time, the Vivint's salesman came back and we signed up.
At first, I thought he was genuine but he let us down on several issues. One was on the insurance rebates for having a security system. He said that they’re going to reduce our monthly insurance rate by $35 a month which will bring down the cost of operating the security system. The other thing was when I noticed a strange modem tied into my router and I saw Vivint’s name on its back. I called Vivint, asked what was going on and they told me that my cameras don’t work properly unless we’re tied into the internet with a bit of a reasonably high transfer rate. I told them that their salesperson didn’t make me aware of this because we shut down our internet. Now, it’s going to cost me an additional $55 or $60 a month to keep my internet going since I got cameras. It pissed me off because it cost me more money instead of less money. My wife was not pleased with him either because of his high-pressure tactics.
I had several emotional discussions with Vivint and they’ve since reduced my premium by $20 a month but only for a year. My cost is still going to be the same the year after. What started off with a budding relationship has turned into a little bit of a showstopper. When we finalized the contract, it was late in the day then the install crew came in and installed the system. But it was already dark outside by the time they left and nobody walked us through the system. Nobody showed us how to do functional checks, change batteries or how things worked.
The other day, they set up an appointment and we a technician came out. He walked us through the whole system and he was a very knowledgeable individual so I’m back to being less mad because the guy did a good job. He was trying to make me more knowledgeable on the functionality and he's done a superb job so I was very pleased. He’s also much more professional than the first guy. Right now, my only outstanding issue is I’d like to be able to have my thermostat program automatic in the morning so the house is warm before I step out of the bed. Other than that, I’m a retired electronic technician by trade and from a technical point of view, I haven't seen anything better than Vivint's system. But their administration and sales departments got a bit of reputation going.

Broke the wires in my door bell, dropped the wires down behind the brick, so no camera could be installed. Took over $600.00 out of my checking account for equipment that was not complete. I ask them not to take money until the job was complete, but they did anyway. When you buy something at Wal-Mart they don't take your money and give you only part of your purchase and make you wait on the rest until they decide you get the rest. I feel once they got my debit # I was no longer important. I told them to come get the half of equipment that had been installed, and fix my door bell and the holes in my wall from the part that was installed.
Two different times I took off work for a total of 4 hours and no one showed up. Finally on a Sunday, they came, got their equipment. My door bell is still broke and still got holes in my new home and still not funded my money. Needless to say I am not going to go away! I am going to get my home fixed back like it was if I have to take them to court! As far as I am concerned they lied to me and stole my money because I told them not to charge my account until I had in my home what I was paying for! So risk it if you like but I am very disappointed...

I have been with Vivint from 2012 till now and been happy. I had trouble with the equipment and have spent nearly three months trying to get it fixed. Each time I was told someone would call and set up an appointment and this has never happened. My level of frustration is now at mach one. Today I called and asked to cancel due to non-performance. I was told the way they have written the contract that pretty much they can do what they want. I talked to a lawyer and as a courtesy appointment was not charged. However Vivint will not cancel my account and will take me to court and I would have to retain a lawyer.
At 71 and on social security I cannot afford it. Each time I called I was assured it would be taken care of but after almost three months I don't believe that. They offer lower price for the inconvenience with the catch being you sign up for a longer time. Like I would do that after the trouble I have had. I would say if you are looking at Vivint get their contract first take it to a lawyer and you will most likely be told you have no rights.

Vivint's service is alright. When I call them they really try to solve the problem. They don't just brush me off. However, I was in a five year contract which I didn't like. Putting people on contracts for five years is a bit much. I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting another one, so when it was time to roll over, Vivint left a year off.
In the beginning, I had a basic package which included the windows and the thing on the door. When the door is kicked open, it triggers the alarm. But with the camera doorbell, I can hear anybody as soon as they walk up. That's better now. I like my doorbell camera because my house had been broken into twice. A thief will always find some way to get in, but I am making it harder for them if they try to get in. That's why I want my camera doorbell to work at all times. And when I see it's not working, that disturbs me. In the beginning, I was calling Vivint every other day and it was so frustrating. They had to send technicians out here every day. Then they started talking about charging me for the technicians coming out for something that I had no control over. But they've gotten better. I am not losing my doorbell signal so I can see people.
When the alarm goes off, they are prompt about calling to find out if everything is okay, and I like that. They come right through the system and ask me if everything is okay. I would tell them yes and they would ask for my password. Others wouldn't have that information. If someone couldn't respond right there, Vivint would know something isn't right. However, whenever the alarms go off, they want to call everybody on the list. So much time is wasted. The first time they don't get somebody, they should call the police. When my contract is up, I probably will look at other options since I went with them for two times. They're almost $70 and I feel I can get something cheaper.

One of the salesmen from Vivint came to the house. We already had a security system and he said he can set cameras up in everything so when somebody rings the doorbell, I'd get a ring on my phone, I can see who's at the door and I can talk with them. So, that was an A+ right there. So far, the service has been great. I've talked to people on the phone, they helped us do things because somehow it went offline so we couldn't do anything. They worked hard and finally got us online. It was a very pleasant experience.
The technicians are very respectful. One guy saw my sign out, came over, and asked if I was satisfied with the system. He also asked if I had any problems and gave a number that I can call if I have any problems. He said, “I’ll be in the neighborhood for a while so if anything comes up, call." He was very nice. Everything has worked fine with Vivint and we're satisfied. The only thing is we needed one for the bedroom because he just put one way and he told us he was coming out and would put one like what we have but it would be a little bit different in the living room and it would be easy to operate. But I hadn't seen anybody since then.

My sister had Vivint first and she highly recommended it. I've been with them since June, and so far, their service is good and I'm happy with it. The sales representative was great and very knowledgeable. He explained everything and it was all very clear. Everything was done as he promised. The gentleman who installed it was very knowledgeable as well. He did it in a whole day and did a good job. However, I had an issue with the Space Monkey and had to return it. I've been dealing with it for a month and a half now and I'm waiting for them to return it back. I called customer service to see how the situation is and it's going to take another three weeks before everything gets resolved. Hopefully, they will send it next week. But other than that, everything has been working fine and I recommended Vivint to my neighbor.

I needed to be able to see what's going on inside and outside my house, so I had Vivint install a pad, a doorbell and a couple of cameras. So far, it's been rough. We've had numerous issues like when cameras weren't working and the pads were bad. We had a tech here who spent all day at my house. The last two people who were trying to get the cameras going got them going, but they went out again.
They did everything that they could do and got everything up and running. My equipment is operating with no problem right now. My regular cameras are okay but my problem is the one that faces the front of the house. Plus, there's no power to my doorbell, while the regular doorbell is operating with no problem. I just had the transformer installed and the electrician told me the one he took off was fine. I told him to replace it anyway. They replaced it with a new one but I'm not sure it's got power since the camera and doorbell are offline. I may have to call them to find out if I can reboot the camera or have somebody come out to check them and the doorbell. However, calling can be time-consuming sometimes. It becomes frustrating since my house is not protected and I need to have somebody out here as soon as possible to get the cameras up and running again. All in all, we're dissatisfied with Vivint.

I have the Vivint camera as well as the app on my phone. The sales rep who I talked to was really good. The installers came and they were really nice, asked me questions and made sure everything was okay. They also cleaned up after they were done.

I got motion sensors and cameras from Vivint. The installation was fast and the people who installed it were good. However, I'm not impressed with the system's recording ability since I've had some issues with it. Vivint told me that it's because of the Wi-Fi connection and there's nothing much we can do about it. But they were as helpful as they can be and talked us through the process of correcting the issue over the phone.

We recently got Vivint and included the cameras for extra safety. The problem we have is that when a certain person comes to the house nothing records. Not coming in or leaving. We contacted Vivint and they state they have no idea how that could be happening. Well neither do we. It is your system and we trusted your company/product to keep us safe. Who do we go to then to find out why is this happening? Do we switch companies???

After 2 weeks my install is still not complete. Customer service never gets back to me. I keep calling. The system sometimes detects a Leaf blowing and sometimes misses a person coming in. I do not recommend this service. I do like the phone app.

My mom has Vivint and I’ve also had them for a couple of years now. I have the video camera, door locks, smoke detector, motion detector and window sensor. These features are good and I’m satisfied. Their sales reps were also good, but the last person that was here for a maintenance issue took pretty long. They had to change the panel, and that was the longest time anybody ever took doing. It wasn't a good experience at all. Everything came out well but they can improve on some things.
I noticed that at times, they say they make an appointment between a window, and I had a time where a guy came out, rang the doorbell and then, since no one answered, left. I had to remake an appointment. I suggest that it's good to give a person a call no matter what. At that time, my doorbell wasn't working and that's one issue, to begin with. No matter what the appointment time window is, there's supposed to be a phone call before the person leaves. Otherwise, everything else is good so far. They have good customer service when you need something done over the phone. They send someone out as soon as possible when you have an issue and, most of the time, our issues get resolved the same time.

My experience with Vivint was fine. I first heard about them from the guys coming through the neighborhood. At that time, I had teenage kids so I went with the package that includes alarm systems, cameras, and glass breakage. I took the thermostat off, eventually. So far, I'm 100% satisfied, even now that my daughter's going to college. Other than being nice, the Vivint Installation Team has been professional when they came to my home. They've done a good job.

I've been with Vivint for at least five years. The sales rep came around and gave me a spiel I couldn’t refuse. He had features that my existing security company didn’t have, like the programmable thermostat that I could access online. Every time they come here, they offer an additional feature that I didn’t have previously. The last time they were here, they replaced the battery on the control panel. And then I have a CO monitor also. They offered it to me and it didn’t cost me any additional. The service has been excellent. During the installation, the installers were efficient, effective and they explained very well what they’re doing. They didn’t leave a mess either. So, I’ve been very happy with them.
About two months ago, my toaster oven didn’t turn off like it was supposed to and there was an excessive amount of smoke. The smoke alarm went off and I immediately got an alarm, and then a phone call via the unit to ask me if everything was fine. I said yes and they reset everything. But they didn’t tell me to go turn my thermostat back on either because the thermostat is set to off so your furnace doesn’t come on. It was a little while before I recognized it was getting a little warm in here, that the air conditioning wasn’t back on. And then when I went upstairs and I looked at the thermostat, it was in the off position, which it’s what they selected it to be during an alarm condition. So, I had to turn it back on. Other than that, everything was fantastic.

I've had Vivint service since two months ago. Included in my package is a doorbell camera and the Alexa. The installation team was a guy and his girlfriend. The girlfriend had just started and he was the one training her. The installation went okay and they showed me how to use it. However, the Alexa hasn’t worked since I got it. I tried to call the person that installed it and they said to call the 1-800 number. I called them and I got sent to this person, that person and then got disconnected. Nobody resolved them so I'm disappointed. They told me that it's too late to cancel their service so I'm paying for a service that I'm not using.
They said that it has been over 30 days and I told them how I was trying to contact the salesperson and the person that I spoke with at Vivint. They sent him emails and text messages and he didn’t return their calls. I cancelled my ADT for Vivint and I'm not impressed. I'm not happy and I would never recommend them to anyone else.

I've been with Vivint for a few months now. I have the basic security system including some of their doorbell and some window stuff. The installation was good. There were guys that came to our house, helped us set up and tried to figure things out. They had the system installed within a couple of hours. There was something that they had to order so they came back the next day, as soon as it came in. They also came to fix one of our cameras for a service call. The customer service was good, too, even though the hold time was long.
If they come to our house, there’s a service fee of 50 bucks but then they fixed what is broken for free. We would be super psyched about it if they’d just come out to our house to look at it. It’s $50 fee which is basic across the board. Otherwise, the system has been working good and we like it. When I talk to a person, they were helpful and nice. Vivint made things easy.

I had ADT before and when I talked to a couple of other people, I found out that they paid the same amount I did but they have more stuff in their security system. They got a camera in the house, 2 cameras outside and the doorbell camera. When I tried to call ADT to get more cameras and stuff added to our system, they wanted way more money. So when one of Vivint's sales guys, Dallas, was doing a neighborhood walk-through, we switched to them. He set us up with a deal and he even gave us a discount. The installers came the same night Dallas sold us the system and they did everything well. We got the doorbell camera, glass breakage, window sensors and a camera outside in the backyard.
Back when we were with ADT, somebody tried to break into our house through one of the doors that ADT didn't put a sensor on. But they couldn't get in that door because my car blocked that door in the garage. They had to come through another door to actually try to get in the house. Now that I'm with Vivint, somebody tried to come in through that same door not too long ago, but Vivint put a sensor on it. So my wife called me then she opened the front door and the alarm went off. But nobody from Vivint called until an hour later.
The police were on the scene, then the Vivint rep called and said that they were doing a system-wide update. I asked why they were doing that in the middle of the day because this happened at about 5 o'clock in the afternoon. My wife was pissed and I was kind of mad about that too. My wife also thought the camera wasn't recording in the backyard and that's the only way the person who broke in was able to run because if he had run through the front of our house, it's easy to see him and my wife would have seen it. Vivint sent somebody out a couple days later to check the system and make sure the thing was working right. The guy that came to check up everything was nice and very knowledgeable. Vivint also gave us a month free because of what happened. Overall, it's a good system and I'm about 96% satisfied with them. I just wish we had another camera, probably on one side of the house.

I’ve been with Vivint for about two years now. I’ve had another home security provider before but Vivint’s technologies are better. I’ve got everything done -- interior, exterior surveillance, carbon monoxide, and I’ve got three cameras outside and one camera inside. And I'm satisfied with them. There are times when the software needs an update on the internet but it's pretty good.
However, their customer service sucks and it’s like garbage. They've always taken care of me and there were times when I‘ve dealt with some really bad apples. They have their customer care specialist or somebody that is pretty helpful. Every issue I've ever had has always been resolved. But I've had instances where the person on the other end was terrible to deal with.
One time, when my panel was frozen, I was on hold to contact their tech support, and 15 minutes after holding, their tech support guy answered. He started the call by saying, "Hey man, I don't know why you got connected but I'm in the middle of a call. Can I call you back?" I said no and that I've been waiting 15 minutes on hold. The guy wasn't able to address my issue so I skewered him in the survey I got. I really ripped into him. And then someone called me back and made it right. Then the last one was when my indoor cameras weren't working as expected. The technician got in my house on the 4th of July and he was pretty cool.
I called them up and there was a 4th of July special going on but wasn’t able to get it. I also had the misfortune of dealing with Bjorn. But I eventually ended up getting the cameras two months later at that price. The lady that helped me out took care of me. If they've always done right by me, it takes me two or three calls, or just give a bad survey. But they've always been good in the sense of coming back and making it right, whatever the case, regardless of me being right or me being terrible or hard to deal with. Still, Vivint has really good service. They got the cool gadgets and if I would ever recommend a service provider, it would be Vivint because of the technology. They are good but it’s been a love-hate experience with them.

I've had Vivint for about four years. I got the doorbell camera and the thermostat in the attic for extra added security. All my interactions with Vivint have been great and all my questions were answered by the reps. Once, I had forgotten that I had set the alarm and went back in and it went off. Vivint called me and I let them know that it was an accident. They asked for my password and once I gave them that, they made sure that everything was okay.

I’m going on three years with Vivint and I’m very satisfied. This one is far better than the one I had before because I had a couple of issues with the other one. Vivint has very good service. There’s a customer service anytime I needed something, a little glitch or something and they’d look after me very well. I have no complaints at all. I got a door camera, and heat and cold sensors. At some spot, I also got the self-mirror. It works on the internet where I can check my house from anywhere, and lock and unlock the front door. I would recommend Vivint to a friend.

Has anyone out there been unable to have your call answered? Can't get my phone call answered. We have a non-functioning system. I call the # on the panel, # on website, # on brochure. Automated voice recording says experiencing high call volume. I have been on hold as long as 30 minutes various times of the day. I can't reach anyone. Our system is not working but my bills continue. Still no one is answering my call!

To make a long story as short as possible, I was told by the salesman that he was going to get my bill cheaper than the 50 dollars a month that I was currently paying another security company but what he did was double my bill so I am now paying 100 dollars a month. When I reached out 7 times to Vivint after I had learned I was being charged twice what I was told, all I was told was, you signed the contract so the fact that you were mislead is your problem and nothing can be done. WHAT!?! Nothing can be done???? This is scam if there ever was one. I asked to return all the equipment and I would go somewhere else. I did not ask to get it free. I just don't want it. Just take it back. Oh well it's been 30 days so we can't do that either. They can answer to everything you say.
My husband and I are both senior citizens and have been taken by this company. Do not let them in your door! They don't care about you at all, All they want you to do is sign on the dotted line. They don't bother to tell you that you are signing a contract for 2700 dollars worth of equipment. They tell you it is included in the monthly charge which is a lie. And when you tell them that you were lied to they tell you to prove it. They really have themselves a good scam. If they were a reputable company they would not have to scam people to get customers, They would have customers who wanted their service and were happy to have them. They don't care one bit whether you are a happy customer or not. They also lied to me that it would take two hours to install and it took from 6pm until after 1am. And I had to work that day. Lies. All lies to get it installed and get that hook set in you!

I got my Vivint system put in yesterday. I was going to get the Nest thermostat but the electrician after she completely took off my thermostat and took off the wiring said there was not enough drywall for the nest system so she reconnected my thermostat and after she did that I did not have heat in my house and I thought well it should come on any minute. I gave it a few hours and it still never came on. There was nothing I could do. It's so late at night but at three in the morning it was beyond cold in the house and my children were freezing all night. At three in the morning I had to call Vivint because the heat still had not turned on.
My baby had to sleep in a 54° room. His feet were icicles when I went and got him in the morning. The house now is only 63° and they said it could be 24 hours before appointment center calls but high-priority they could call within 24hrs. They called me by 8:40 am but they said they can’t get one anyone out till tomorrow afternoon and I said “I just said that I have children in the house and it is 63 in a house now and it gets down to 54 in the house without heat," and she says "I’ll try to see if we can get someone there this afternoon. So I still have to sit in the house or cold house for something they messed up!

Terrible customer service. I called one day late and they refused to cancel my system. The cameras are horrible. When I'm away from home they take minutes to load the image. The customer service rep just kept giving me her "canned" responses.

I have Vivint's thermostat monitoring and both the outdoor camera and a doorbell camera so I know who's outside. I like the doorbell camera but it took me a while to get used to talking to someone through it. The first time I had somebody at my door and I wasn’t home, the person could hear me but I couldn’t hear her. I don’t know what was going on and I kept saying I was on my way home. She left after 10 minutes and I never found out who it was. I finally learned how to use that equipment and it's been fine ever since.
My cameras keep going out though and I call Vivint all the time about that. I got tired of it so I don’t check it as much anymore. It's way overpriced for it not working all the time but I liked the service. If it worked properly, I would be very happy. Also, I've had people saying they're the rudest people they ever talked to but they’ve never been rude to me. They’ve been always very nice and my experience has been good. The only thing I really don’t like is that guy coming over here at 10:00 at night, asking me if I want the system and talking about it. Then all of a sudden, I've got somebody coming out here at midnight installing it. If somebody says they're going to get the system and they sign the papers, the installers don’t have to rush getting the system installed at that instant. That’s not necessary and they could improve on that.

When the doorbell wasn't working, somebody came and fixed it, and he was very friendly. It was awesome and everything is good with me. My father worked with Vivint with several other people because he's a contractor. He said that Vivint was cool so I decided to get it. The installation was great and we had a nice conversation while the installer was installing things. He led me through all the stuff that he was doing so that I knew what to do if anything happened wrong. The service package that I’ve purchased included the alarm system with window sensors, door sensor, and garage sensor. I use their smartphone features just to set up the alarm and take it off because of the doors that led outside. I also got a carbon monoxide sensor because I have some gas-based stuff and I wanted to know if there was any dangerous gas. Overall, I’m happy with the service and there's only been one time where I couldn't access my smart home stuff. That was a little scary, but once I got back home, it was working.

THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE!!! I had the misfortune of buying a home that already had this system installed... Now the doorbell is completely broken (no big deal, I can replace it with one that doesn't completely suck), but what is unbearable is the stupid panel -- I'm not sure how to turn off the system entirely, and although I deactivated service... This thing still beeps uncontrollably at times because it thinks doors are open when they aren't -- the system is total crap... And when you try and get help from their staff, they treat you HORRIBLY!!!
They are outwardly rude, disrespectful, and do not care at all that their products are failing and inconveniencing your life... Their exact words were "not our problem" -- I've reached out on social media, and their only response is to block my account so I can't share my experience with others. Stay away from this company!!! I've never taken to social media and blogs before, but after the way I was treated, consumers need to be warned at how AWFUL VIVINT really is!

Vivint's salesman came to our door and he was real pleasant. However, he promised a couple of things that didn't happen and that upset me a little bit. He said that the installation, the hardware and everything was free but I ended up getting a mail charging me about $1,000 for the equipment. I tried to call the salesman but I can never get through that number. It's like I've been blocked.
Their installation team has been really good. Everything works good and the system works great on my phone. But a little over a month ago, I had two cameras down. A rep gave me assistance over the phone and tried to get them back up online but it didn't happen. He had somebody to come out but it took them over a month to get here and that was upsetting. When the techs came they fixed everything up. One said that they needed to readjust some of the cameras. He also changed the location of one glass breakage mounted in the living room because he said that it would work better.

There were incidents that were happening in the neighborhood. There were a lot of crimes so I decided to put the Vivint system because I need to protect my family. I got the service package with the carbon monoxide and fire alarm, and I also got two outdoor and three indoor cameras. The installer was wonderful and he was very helpful. I’ve had Vivint for two years now but recently, I had issues with the sales reps giving me different prices on equipment. I escalated this to corporate and had them involved and then they fixed the problem. So far, our experience has been excellent after that incident with the sales reps.
The quality of the equipment was great and everything else is marching the way it should. I had a false alarm a couple of days ago when I forgot that the alarm was still on. It was 10:30 in the morning and everybody was up already. Something fell in the kitchen that made it sound like a glass break and the sound had set off the alarm. Vivint reacted right away and it was good. They’re very on top and the person said that when the alarm goes off, they come on the speaker. They’re very professional and respectful, as well as the team that comes out, and I’m grateful for that.

The system that I had from the house that I moved from was handled by a smaller company, so their price was a lot cheaper than Vivint. But I was willing to pay more because with Vivint, I’m controlling everything from my phone and I have access to these cameras and everything from afar. The two companies are polar opposites, from extremely basic to extremely high tech. But Vivint was terrible at getting out here and getting the system installed. I was ready to cancel the entire order because there’s this thing where they have to validate the appointment. I could get on the phone with them to get one scheduled, which is cool, but the problem was they called back three days later and a day or two before the appointment. I don’t answer the phones and I didn’t say I confirmed that appointment. Then they will just cancel the whole appointment and nobody would show up. That happened to me several times and that was a total disaster.
After spending my time trying to get them out here, after a bit no-show on their appointments, me sending my family at the house waiting on them and me saying to just cancel it, they eventually came out. The technician that got it installed was really cool. After that, somebody came in and fixed all my sensors that were out. He was cool too.
Also, when the system was first installed, I couldn’t install the smoke detector because there's some special license required. So, I had to get that done then it was another disaster of trying to get someone scheduled to come out for that. Only after I started to talk about cancelling that somebody came out and that was after the 12th touchpoint of trying to get it done. Everything else was good and they’ve always been very prompt with the monitoring. They’re on the ball with any alarm that goes off and as far as security goes, I love Vivint. They also have a cool feature where if I accidentally set the alarm off, I could walk over the main panel itself and just say that it was me. That’s added technology and it’s convenient.

I spend a lot of time away from home, and I wanted my home to be protected when I was not there. I needed somebody else watching over my property. Vivint's sales reps were pretty knowledgeable, professional and did what they said they would do. Their customer service has been very professional as well. They were responsive and easy to deal with. The installation went very smoothly and the technician did a great job. He was pretty good and very knowledgeable as well. They have a 24/7 monitoring and there's a person who responds when there's an alarm or some unplanned events. I've had a few accidental false alarms, and they've been pretty responsive. I certainly feel that my home is secure while I'm not there, and even when I'm there.
One of the products that I wanted was having the same set-up on my back door as I do on the front door. But they only have the capability of doing one door so they should provide the same backdoor cameras. They also should allow the client to cover multiple entrances since homes typically have more than one means of entrance and egress. I have glass break sensors, but they could innovate in having sensors that are equipped if someone actually opens a window, instead of breaking it, since burglars are always sharpening their skills. Other than that, I would recommend Vivint and I'm satisfied with my experience with them overall.

I had some of my yard stuff that was stolen and that got me upset. So, I thought that I needed an alarm. I got the referral from my co-worker who has the Vivint system and he's very happy with it. I've had Vivint for almost two years now. I have their basic package that includes two motion sensors, glass break sensor, doorbell camera and the indoor camera. Having those features made the most sense. I recently bought a home and had my system transferred over. The installation team was good and very patient. I called customer support since the panel had to be replaced three times and they took care of it quickly. I wish that I had Vivint when my kids were young. I like the fact that I can view all angles of my house. So far, their service is perfect and I'm just happy with the whole system.

A group of Vivint reps was canvassing the neighborhood and they happened to stop by. I'd already been thinking about a security system so we talked and they answered my questions. I decided that having the system was the thing for us to do. I talked to the sales guy and the next morning the crew was there and went right to work and put in the system. Installation went well. So far, I've been very pleased with the service.

My husband was the one who decided to go with Vivint. He died six years ago but we’ve had Vivint for about six years before that. We have the doorbell, the camera, and the locks. The thermostat stopped working, but we’re supposed to have that too. I also have the medical alert, which was great when my husband was sick. I haven't any interactions with the reps in years but I called to say we were moving and they were out immediately. I’ve moved twice since then, and I'm glad that I’ve got them because I fall all the time, and a lot of times nobody is at home. Once, I accidentally pushed my medical alert and the team was on the ball. There were about three other companies that tried to get me to go with them and I said no because I don’t want anybody but Vivint. My experience with Vivint has been excellent.

I got four cameras, a monitor and door lock to keep my mom in the house. The sales rep was pretty cool and straightforward. The installers were on time and showed me how it works. Everything was pretty good. It's nice having security.

We have had two different appointments which resulted in no call no show appointments that were scheduled and confirmed by myself. Our smoke detectors went off and nothing no one was alerted as far as the fire department which we were told they would be contacted. If I am not notified I don't see the value in the product.

We just built a new home and Vivint was in one of the home shows out here and we wanted increased security. I travel a little for work and having Vivint here when I'm out, is important. The Vivint reps were professional and they did their job well. I purchased a camera, a doorbell cam, and the whole smart home solution. Jessie, from the installation team, was great. He helped us understand how to use it all and made sure it was all hooked up. We had one tripping of the system when the contractor got in here one morning. We weren't expecting him and it was an absolute test run on how the system works and it was great. Overall, Vivint delivered what they said they were going to do.

Every time someone ring the door bell the app on the phone messed up and says fit it in the corner where we can never see who's at the door. Also the on door monitor says loading every day for over an hour and that happens every day so we can't see our cameras at all. Last thing no matter when I call to get help it always says they are having a long wait time which is over 30 min everyday. I really wish I never signed up for this system.

We have had a great experience so far. Our tech was able to tap into our existing door lock and thermostat so I didn't need to buy more things that we already had. We got some of the bare minimum things to start out for now and once we can, we will definitely be adding more to it.

The customer service in speaking with a live person is fantastic. And the service from that rep was a great experience. The rep was detailed in explaining how to work the security pad and what to do with the upgrade.

I can never get anyone on the phone, my system constantly loses connection to monitoring sensors and chimes throughout the night. The technicians, to get them on site takes a week or two each time I had service calls. None of the service calls resolved the issues, I have been experiencing this since April 2017. I bought this house in March 2017 with the system already here from a previous Vivint customer account. I tried to end the service and Vivint says I can't get out until 2019 and that's that or I can pay out the contract, for a crappy system that hardly works... This just not fair, my wife and I cannot get sleep through the night, this is a nightmare, it justs keeps chiming that it can’t talk to devices or sensors, been trying to get someone on the phone for 2 hours now... no luck.
Called the termination department and they picked right up but can't help, they transferred me back to the technical support group. Have been on hold for over 20 minutes. Another sleepless night. I let everyone know on all social media accounts to stay away from Vivint, they do not deliver the services they promise. A recording came on while I'm on hold warning me to watch out for other security companies that will sign you into long term contracts... Hello "Vivint". YOU SIGN PEOPLE INTO LONG TERM CONTRACTS. I will post my comments and reviews on all social media accounts and will create videos of my experience with this system and provide those reviews to the public, because I can't sleep with this system chiming every 30 minutes because it can't communicate with sensors. The worst product and the worst service support I have ever experienced.

Our experience with Vivint has been good. However, when I tried to allocate something from the phone to lock the house, the phone acted up and would always time out. On the other hand, when I had a low battery on the system, their rep came right away, or we timed it that we can both tie up and he fixed it. He was very good, business-like, professional and he asked me if I needed any refresher. He was also the one who installed our system. Overall, they were very reliable and I was satisfied. We had a few bumps but they resolved it.

The only thing that Vivint did that did not go well was they installed a different doorbell, one that would connect with the system and it never connected to the system. It never worked. So for several years, until the next guy came out from Vivint, I did not have a doorbell. I didn't call somebody back out right away. I probably went for about a year and a half without a doorbell. Until I finally had to have someone come back out and they replaced the doorbell.
Also I had no idea I was entering into a five-year contract. That was the other shock after that initial visit. I certainly don't remember it being covered with me and it's been a point of contention with me for about two years now. The only way for me to get out of the contract is to pay my way out. I'm paying $69 a month when I can get it from a competitor for anywhere between $35 to $40 a month. So I feel I'm being ripped. But their sales rep has been very good, as well as the system itself and the support for the system or customer service. And I'm satisfied.

The reps from Vivint were great and really helpful. They explained a lot of the steps so that if I decided to do something later, it would be easy to do it. And that’s something I can always consider if something happens at the back or I might want to add another camera. I really like them. The installation also went really smooth and most of the things they put in were done in under time. We got cameras to watch the driveway and front door. We also got the feature where we can open the garage and it automatically locks at around 11:30 at night.
The only problem I have is the signal to the garage door that I have to go in and open it from the inside. And then after you wait a little bit, you can hit it again and it works. Regardless, Vivint has lived up to everything they said they would do and I’m satisfied with everything we got. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve had with anybody selling a home security. It has lived up to its name and I’ve already recommended them to a bunch of people talking about getting a system in their house.

Vivint has been awesome. I like their camera system wherein I can see the person behind when the doorbell is ringing. Also, when I close the door, the system says whether the front or back door is open or close. The rep was very good. He explained everything one by one. The installation team was awesome, too. They showed me everything and they did a nice job. No mess. No complaints. I was happy with Vivint's service.

We had been kicking around the idea of getting a security system for a couple of years but never got around to it. Vivint reps came around our neighborhood and one of our neighbors recommended them to come and see us. They were the first ones that came and showed us their system and it was good. They were very polite and courteous and explained everything fairly well as much as I could understand what was going on and stuff that we needed. We got the doorbell camera, the inside camera, and the window breakage. They installed it the same day we purchased it. They were here until almost 10:00 at night, which was a little long. But I'm glad they did, and they didn't install something and then say, "We've got to come back the next day," because I work. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and did a good job.
I called and got a service tech to come out because every time we get a little bit of motion out in front of the house, the doorbell camera triggers an alert on the phone. I thought the doorbell camera will only alert us if someone rings the doorbell but that's not the case. It was a little too sensitive so they adjusted that to where it's not picking motion with the cars going by on the street or the flag blowing on to us. The inside camera is good. I can see it when somebody walks into the house and they disarm it. I can pull up the camera and check that also. I'm pleased with Vivint's service and I have recommended it.

Talking with the Vivint salesman wasn't a hard conversation because I told him I wanted their system but he was still really pushy about walking me through the demo videos. I had to explain to him he had the sale and I just wanted to know the pricing but he still kept going. Vivint should be a bit less pushy on the sale and maybe make the referral process a bit easier. It's pretty hard when you set up the referral for your neighbors, and it was difficult to get my credit. Other than that, the installers were great and I like the doorbell camera and the outside cameras.
