Excellent system, I feel very safe. Living in a red light district no longer worries me. With Vivint I know I am safe as well as my family. I recommend Vivint to all who desire to he safe. There is no other home security device like it and it is affordable.

James did a great job explaining the Vivint security service. He answered all my questions satisfactorily. I have wanted to get home security and am happy with the features Vivint offered. The only thing is don't say you are "giving" the equipment and as the cost of it is rolled into your monthly service bill. I would recommend anyone check out what Vivint has to offer.

We have not had doorbell camera operation since Tuesday. Our phone keeps disconnecting off and on. I have not had time to deal with this issue as we had company from out of town and husband was in hospital. Will be contacting Vivint today.

At home, it's just my wife and me. Since my somebody is at home by themselves when I was traveling, we wanted to get a home security system from Vivint. All their sales reps have been good and very professional every time I've dealt with them. The installation process was easy and the alarm was already installed at this particular residence. I like their thermostat, the door locks and overall security. I've always enjoyed dealing with the staff when we have had an issue. I have recommended Vivint to a number of people already. I've told them about Vivint's reliability, the way things get put together, the people that come out and install and how well they do.

I worked with Devon, Vivint's rep in my area and he was very knowledgeable. He knew the area already as well as a lot of my neighbors. Their team installed the system at night which was kind of crazy. I got an automated front door lock and a garage door lock from them. Since then, we've also added glass break systems and now I have a window that's being monitored. Also, we got a camera for my garage and a doorbell camera. However, I got a message on the display saying that our battery panel is not connected. I don't know what's wrong with it but still, it works fine. Their web app is also great and we're very pleased with Vivint.

My initial reaction with the sales reps was not very good. They're terribly confused. They have two different divisions and they hire outside consultants to come to the house also. One installation team got in competition with the other and started setting up the system five days early and stole the other team's commission. I was very disappointed overall. That was a different installation team and they were subs who didn’t work for Vivint. They drove out from Utah and canvassed our area and I thought they were the original team. They did not say they weren't and they started putting stuff in. Vivint knew exactly what was going on and the original team was very disappointed because they set out of the deal and they didn’t put anything in. The other team, the outside consultants, was here for two days and they left not completing the job. So I had to call back and have someone else come and finish it.
It was through friends of mine that I first heard of Vivint and I decided to get them for the equipment that they have. I have their service but they couldn’t come through with what I wanted. Vivint still has not provided me the coverage that I had wanted that they promised me in the beginning. If I take them to court, I could probably beat them.
Furthermore, the cameras outside did not work. The reps came out three times, and finally the repairman said they couldn't get it to work. So they changed it up. Also, I have a wine cellar they were supposed to put a thermostat in. I also have a garage where they were supposed to put something in so I could open and close it from anywhere. Vivint couldn’t do all three of them. I have a friend trying to sign up right now and I told this friend not to sign any contracts ahead of time like I did because now I'm in a five-year contract that I can't get out of.

We have the alarm and cameras included in our Vivint service package and we recently added a new thermostat through Nest. So far, the service has been really good, although, initially, we had a few little bumps on the road with the equipment and the installation. One of the guys fell through the roof, but he didn’t hurt himself and he stayed calm and everything was taken care of. I’m picky about some things and after they were done and gone, I went up in the attic to check on some things and I wasn’t that impressed with the way they routed the wiring. But we like the system and it works great.
We still keep in touch with the sales rep. We needed to change the thermostat out in the house and we noticed that Vivint had some access to some of that, so we called and spoke to him about that. He set us up and we were in line for another camera. We dealt a lot at one time. And when we’ve had a few issues, the tech support people have been great. They’ve answered all of our questions or they’ve had people come out when we needed. Initially, they overreached their ability to service the area and the response in our area was more than they expected.
But now, the technicians have been added. I’ve seen more of the vehicles around town a little more, so when we have an issue, we’ve got people available. The only issue we had was when we had some equipment changed. Some of it might have had some issues and they came back and replaced it. Customer service and tech support have been good overall. The sales reps that we've dealt with were all top-notch.

Vivint has the technology that gives you the ability to use an app to control and change directions. The camera aspect of it seemed alright for me and the app works pretty well. Only at two percent of the time I’ll get something that’s not operating properly. Their customer service is also excellent. They were quick to respond. I got an alarm trigger at 9:46 PM and at 10:56 I had the area police there.
The installation team was also very well-informed. I had lots of questions when they installed the device and they took their time and showed me how the devices and the app on the phone work. However, while I could monitor if my garage door is open I could not use any device that’s compatible with my particular model to open and close the garage door. I have a vacation home and I also want the ability to turn the lights on without the use of a little z-way connection. The z-way with Vivint don’t seem to work as well. If they get that capability, I would absolutely get it in a minute.

What a joke! I ordered a system in June. It Was partially installed July 11. Installer made good recommendations to change original order. She was to return Friday to install the missing items. After multiple calls to her and 2 weeks of waiting, I contacted Vivint and now they can’t finish the install until July 31 and no apology!

I have had 2 false alarms since the system has been installed. Fast response time and very pleasant operators. This system makes me feel more comfortable about the security and safety of my family. Installer was very well trained and did a very good job.

Our outside camera is positioned where it picks up and records every movement/car going down our road. I've adjusted it as much as I can in order to still see my car in the driveway. I believe it needs to be moved over.

Customer support is very inexperienced and lack the knowledge to resolve any problems presented... Vivint products require lots of attention and are extremely faulty. After multiple equipment failures and replacement and spending hours on hold, Vivint is indifferent and to do anything outside the norm to fix an ongoing problems. From what I experienced I would not recommend Vivint to anyone. You will spend most of your time waiting on hold for Customer Service to maintain the system on a daily basis. The average wait time is over 30 minutes and with persistent and faulty equipment failures, you will end up spending most of your time on hold to maintain a system that should run with a very minimal amount of maintenance.

My Father has been using Vivint Alarm company for many years and has been a valued customer. For years he was pleased with the service but recently the customer service that he has been receiving from Vivint is not good... As a valued customer for many years he should definitely be treated better with respect.

I love the system. The only problem I have is that my doorbell cam stopped working and I called Robbie ** and he never showed or called me back. I think my sister did some troubleshooting on her own and figured something out. We are both disabled, so we Will need a reliable source of contact in case of system malfunction!

When I was looking for a different type of a protection service I liked Vivint's technology and safety. They exceeded my previous provider. The installer was thorough. When the reps thought the hardware wasn’t working, we had to go through a couple of technicians to make it work. They waived the fee after I griped a bit because I told them I wasn’t paying the technician fee. The system had been working okay since then. I just wish Vivint included an outdoor camera because I have a friend that I referred to them and they were given an outdoor camera additionally. They have the same cameras I have but they also have an outdoor camera.

I was doing a research on alarm systems online and Vivint had more stuff for me to choose from and they seemed a bit cheaper than everybody else. I got the doorbell, the indoor camera and the air conditioning built because they said it would work for my garage door. Their salespeople and the people who installed it were good. The installers were well-trained and I also had a guy come over a couple of times who asked me how everything was going.
Everything is excellent right now. But every now and then, the system will lose signal and Vivint has to reboot it. I also use the smartphone feature with the system but every now and then, the app would freeze up and it’ll reboot. We bought a house but we haven’t moved into it yet. And when the upstairs toilet got busted, it flooded my whole house and I was able to see it through the camera. So, we are still in our old house but every time the contractors walk in the new house, the system alarms me and I can watch them do whatever inside the house.

My first year of doing business with Vivint was awesome but the next four years progressively got worse in service and excuses. The people who I called in and talked to were absolutely worthless on the phone, except for the last guy. He was awesome. He was the first guy in three years that I've talked to in Vivint who has the heart to help people and an attitude that cares for the customer. While with the previous four people who I talked to, I got so fed up with their excuses that I just hung up.
I had an issue where my panel quit communicating while I'm out of town. When I got back home, I called Vivint and found out that my panel was 14 updates behind, and that Vivint didn't push out updates. I had to call in and sit on hold for 10 minutes to get somebody on the phone. And then I had to stand in front of the panel while they push the update and they did it all over the phone.
Then, I had another time where the power went out at my house for 37 minutes and my panel quit working because the battery wasn't good enough to keep it running for 37 minutes. I called Vivint and I let them know what was going on. They said that it looked great from their end and I told them it was until I lost power. They said that the battery was only supposed to last six hours, but that didn’t make sense since it went out after 37 minutes. Then, they said that they would come out and fix it but it would be $35 to send a tech. They came out here to put in a brand-new panel because the one I've got, which I bought and paid for over the course of five years, was already acting up and the panel that they put in for replacement is still acting up. I shouldn't be paying to have them come out and fix the stuff they put in. So, I told them that I'm out.
There was nothing that made me madder about my contract with Vivint knowing that I was locked into a contract with a company that did not care and that I didn't have a choice and I had to pay them. And that was evident in their tone and how they handled me as a customer. I am thankful my five years with Vivint is up and I can put this company behind me.

Sales man was friendly and outspoken. He didn’t try to throw a big sales pitch, let us ask questions, and answered our concerns. We closed the deal at our dinner table. My wife and I were both very happy with the experience. Install was completed that night in a timely manner.

Vivint was giving the same service at a lower price which made me decide to go with them. I called them and their reps made an appointment for me then they came out immediately. I got from them a regular home security package but it has everything that is necessary. But I also plan to call them to talk about getting additional security. The installers did what they were supposed to do and they had me try the system out. Every time that they feel that there is an issue, they call me right away and I like that. Then when there was a problem with a battery, they sent somebody out the next day. And then when I call, insofar as getting the cameras, the features, I’m sure they’ll do the same. I’m a satisfied customer. I have a very good experience with Vivint and I have also recommended them.

Vivint is sneaky with their business practices. Paid 99 dollar activation fee 5/15/18. Took the 1 month to process it. They used this money to pay on my so called June statement. I had called after 6/18/18. Female told me I owed nothing. Then 7/19/18 they take 155.31. I call rather not impressed or happy of course. They are on top of it charging me the old contract amount of 79.94. I have a new contract as I got rid of somethings when we did the move. New contract 5/18/18 states monthly payment of 59.99. Supervisor told me that was wrong. So seems they are making me pay a null and void contract the higher amount than the contract signed 5/18/18. So Vivint you're not going to honor this new signed contract of yours with!!! Bad business indeed. Stay away from Vivint.

Our sales person was great, he did not try to sell us things we did not want. Soon after the sale, like within 30 minutes, the technicians came and had the system set up as well as gave a tutorial. This was done in 5 hours. The technicians were cordial and professional. They came in and did their job without fanfare.

We got talking with a woman in her booth and we figured out that Vivint had a good price for our home security. I had no clue what I was doing and she was friendly and very knowledgeable all the way up until a month and half ago. I’ve been contacting her on and off. I was trying to get some more information and a couple of technical issues were happening also. She straightened those right up too.
We have the camera doorbell and the motion sensor, and those features are good, especially for the price. We're trying to figure out if we could add something for our garage in the backyard. We’re hoping for an actual camera. Nonetheless, The Vivint system has been the most awesome thing ever. We live in the decent side of town but criminals are stupid and they travel anywhere so we've felt safer in our home with our doorbell.

We've been with Vivint for several years and everything has been good. However, I replaced the battery of the back sensor and it probably hasn't worked in about a year. Also, I don't know what the matter is with the keypad in the front, so we've been having to use a key to get in and out. I can't even set my alarm. I have to manually do it and override it so I can get the alarm active. I've been troubleshooting it myself. The rep told me that if somebody came out, they would charge and so I said that I'll just figure it out. I can't get the issues fixed, but I don't want to be charged, so I've been leaving it like what it's worth. Nonetheless, we are very satisfied with the service package that we have.

I liked the products that Vivint had from what it looked like on the internet. I also liked their reviews. I did some research before I called the representative, then I had them go through the same things that I figured out on the internet. The reps were informative and they did well. Any issues I’ve had, they’ve taken care of immediately. The installer did a good job too. He was prompt and got it taken care of quickly. From what I’ve seen on Vivint's costs, they’re not out of line with any of the other companies. I’m satisfied with the equipment.

I really wish that my phone would get a notification when the doorbell rings! Or at least be able to hear it in the house. I missed a very important package because I didn't hear the doorbell. I really wish this would be fixed.

Came back several times to get things working properly, as having issues with system going offline. They came back as soon I notified them that the system did not seem to be working properly, they were back within minutes of contacting them to figure out the problem.

Vivint's online reviews are good and the type of system they put in seems more simplistic to me. It runs on our own router. But, the selling point to me was that they offered a lot of smart stuff for the house to incorporate in the alarm system at a really reasonable rate. Their service personnel is great too. After the initial installation, I changed my mind on something else and they sent someone immediately who came out and changed to what I wanted. They also gave me quite a few deals as far as price cuts for six months and it's been about four or five months.
Vivint installed the alarm and completely made my house smart, so all my lights are controlled as well as the thermostats, garage doors, front door lock, and rear door lock. The smartphone features also run well, but anyone who joins Vivint's service is at the mercy of their Wi-Fi because their signal strength determines whether or not they're gonna have spotty issues. Vivint assesses that initially and they can tell what areas their systems are gonna run well. Mine's good about 95% of the time. 5% of the time it's kinda glitchy, but overall, it works really well. I'm very happy with Vivint.

I have a camera for the front and the backyard, and a doorbell from Vivint and so far, we like them. Sometimes, we forget what we're cooking on the stove, and then we start doing something else. The next thing we know, the alarm's going off. Their reps have all been helpful when I call. And when the technician came over one day, she was very helpful. The only thing I don't really care for is that I couldn't pick up the pad and take it with me. It must be left on the wall. Also, I didn't like it when they got rid of the thing where the light stayed on 24/7, 'cause I used it as a nightlight. They said they did it like that because the other way was ruining the screen too much. But overall, everything's been fine with them. In fact, I've already recommended Vivint to a friend.

I had somebody that came to my door and spoke about the Vivint service and I saw them on the neighborhood and I figured it was pretty good. We bought the system that is about $100 a month with the cameras, the recording systems and all the good stuff. Somebody came in, set up the cameras and they were very attentive. It took a couple of hours. They came in and right on the spot they made their way. The system is also straightforward enough. The only concern is just the quality of the system. It's not the best.
I have several issues. I must have called at least 10 different occasions with issues about the system always going down and not recording. As of now, I'm still having some discrepancies with the system and I just don't have the time to call and bother with them anymore. Their customer service reps were cordial enough but as far as situation in terms of resolving the issues, they could do a better job.

I needed to upgrade the alarm system in my home. I had a wired system previously and I was making some changes in my home and wanted to go with newer technology. My son works for Prime America and they are partnered with Vivint. I had the choice of what I wanted at the moment and purchased wireless cameras from Vivint and I felt that I secured my home adequately with what my selection was. The installer came in, inspected what she had to do and did a clean job in a short time. She showed me how the system worked but it was a little overwhelming because there were a lot of explanations. It’ll be nice to have some place to go to where I could review that. But everything works the way the installer said it would.
I’ve tripped the alarm a couple of times and I’ve gotten immediate calls confirming that everything is secure, or who was supposed to be in the home, checking if I knew the password, if I actually belong there or if am I an intruder. The response was fast. In fact, one day I tripped the alarm and before I reached the panel, I got a phone call. I’ve been very satisfied.

I Googled the top security systems because I had ADT before and I wanted to change. When I talked to the customer service rep at Vivint, I liked how everything was in-house which he said ADT security was not. Also, the flat screen touchscreen pricing wasn’t any different than the ADT ones, but ADT was charging more. The first sales rep that I had was pretty awesome, and the people that came and installed were great. The installers were very personable and fast. The service package has the doorbell camera, the screen, the temperature gauge, the monitor and the regular security. There are some minor issues with the equipment, but it’s been pretty good. Vivint is way better than ADT.

We used to have a security system through Monitronics then we switched to Vivint for the service and the cost. We were first approached at Sam's Club then people came to the house. They were very pleasant and competent. They answered questions, explained the features and compared the system we had with the Vivint one then made us a proposal that made sense to us. We got general monitoring, a thermostat, a camera in front, and locks in the garage and the front door. And the installation was very short. Apparently Monitronics and Vivint have very similar systems so they were very compatible. A lot of stuff was simply reused. We’ve had the Vivint system for a couple of months and so far, the people have been very nice.

Heard great things about this company in the past, and can say it was an extremely pleasant experience. Really like the doorbell camera & the keyless entry. We had a contractor start the day after installation, and it was so comforting to know that I could give him his own code and then delete it as soon as he completed the project. No worries about anyone in the future making copies of my house key. Also, LOVED the fact that I could rekey the keyless entry to use my current house key, so all my locks can continue to be on the same key!

Most security companies offer free equipment and waive the installation cost especially to disabled veterans. Your service essentially locks in a person to a five year contract until the equipment cost is paid off... it would be a big plus if veterans were able to get a discount. I like the system but the overall cost is pretty high... thank you.

I was very upset with Vivint way back when I fell twice and they did not respond. Then when I asked them about canceling, they told me I had to stay with them or pay the backup fee till the contract was over. I didn't even know I had a contract because years ago, they dropped my rate down and they didn't tell me. I got a phone call a couple of months after they did that. When I called to ask why it went down, they told me I had a new contract but I never picked up on how long the contract was. Also, they didn't call to tell me or send me any emails that the rate went back up to 40-some dollars a month. When I got my bank statement, I called them and they said, "You're not under that contract anymore." I said, "I didn't even know I was on a contract to start with."
Then when I wanted to leave because I had two episodes where there was no response, they said they never got the call. I said that my daughter pushed the buttons after I did and it didn't work. So, they sent me a new pendant. I told them, "I don't need the pendant anymore because I'm outside more than I'm inside at summertime." I don't even have it on my neck 'cause I never put it on or activate it since I can't trust it.
A man came around many years ago and convinced me that Vivint was a better deal than ADT was. When I got the pendant way back, he had me to believe it was good for anywhere around the outside. When I had trouble and I called and complained, they told me, "It only works in the house. It's not set up to work outside the door." But everything else is fine. My daughter wanted me to give it up right away, but I can't. All these years, I've had it and lived alone and I appreciate knowing it's there to protect me. They also tell me when the batteries die and I really appreciate that.

I’ve had the Vivint system for about two years now and it's pretty good. Their reps have been friendly and I feel good about their knowledge. Also, the installers were friendly guys and they helped me set up and program my phone. My system does the fire emergency and glass breakage, and it's sensitive if I knock something over. I should've gotten a camera for the outside and another one for the inside, though. I also like the doorbell as I see who is at the door. And if my doorbell rings and I'm not here, it rings on my telephone. The smartphone app is pretty easy to use too. If I forget to lock my door, I can set the alarm on my door from my phone. Then if the alarm goes off, Vivint is quick to acknowledge that. I would recommend this company.

I was out in the driveway cooking and a Vivint a door-to-door salesman was walking around. He came up and talked me through everything right there on the spot. I had AT&T Digital Life before and Vivint's deal was a little better. I also like their service. Plus, I get to spread the payments out and I own the equipment, then I pay Vivint for the service. They had an installer at my house that night and he was also very good. He did everything and it didn’t take him too long. Everything worked out just fine. I’ve only had the system a few months but everything seems to be working fine. I have the doorbell camera, the glass break sensor, the door lock and a few window and door sensors. I like the system much better than AT&T. I also like that I can control it with my phone.

Vivint Security reps have been going door to door in my neighborhood every day for a week. We have nicely declined the first 3 times, the last time (6pm on a Saturday!). I told the rep off because I'm sick of my doorbell going off. (A camera doorbell, guess the rep doesn't understand that I have system?!?) Not sure why this company thinks people will willingly talk to a stranger at the door about their home's security. I looked at the website and the sales line is not available on Saturday, yet their reps are aimlessly wandering around my street all day. I guess if they bother us again during the week I will try to contact one of the morons at their corporate office. Home security is a very competitive market, and these dumbos think they can get sales going door to door like it's the 1990's.

I was rather startled to see a message on my display telling me that I needed to do a SkyPanel reboot only 2 days after system installed. I followed the directions but then lost all WIFI connections. It wouldn't accept my password for WIFI at first and then finally accepted but wouldn't stay connected. I called the Chat line and found that the person on the chat was really not too helpful. They kept telling me that it was an easy fix. All I needed to do was cut a zip tie and they would walk me through the process. As I was not in the same room as my control panel, it was rather hard to do anything with having to run back and forth.
I wasn't able to locate a zip tie and was very uncomfortable with "cutting" anything seeing as I didn't understand the system. I felt like the person I was chatting with was rather impatient with me and I tried to explain that I am not from the techie generation so this was rather overwhelming considering I was still getting to know the system. I then said I would contact the installer as he had left me his number in case there were any problems.
I contacted the installer and bless his heart even with how busy he was he did come out and get us up and running once again. Apparently there is no zip tie to cut, hence why I couldn't find one. As well as we needed an added WIFI connection that would only be for the panel. Once that was installed my WIFI connection has worked very well. I have not had the "reboot" SkyPanel command come on again and the installer said I likely wouldn't have. Thank you Moaz for all your help and patience with getting us up to speed on the Vivint security system. Now we can say we love it!

Installation was speedy but the installer did not caulk the hole he drilled even after saying he would. Also they did not clean up the drilling debris on the foyer floor. I’m disappointed because salesman said my remote fob from my old system would work with this one - doesn’t.

I was very pleased with the individual who had installed the system, very friendly, efficient and helpful! The individual who I kept in contact with and who sold me the system was quite the opposite. He was very pushy and conceited. When I had chosen to cancel with Vivint, he made it quite a hassle. What tipped me over the edge was him saying that "my cancellation will affect his position in the company and not allow him to be promoted to a higher position". I don't believe that's something that should ever be said to a client! When I had finally called in to cancel, the customer service representative was very understanding and made the process hassle free, just like the company promised it would be.

I changed from another company to try Vivint. The marketing representative, Michael, was fantastic. I am enjoying my service to date but there's just one downside. When I turn the system on as I am leaving my house, a message shows about my basement window being opened. The company has not tried to contact me to correct the issue. I find this to be a problem. Communication is the key. I am hoping this will change before my trial period ends.

First off they charged us double for installation fee. Finally had to call them to get a refund. The system isn’t worth a flip. It says the doors are left open all the time when they are clearly shut. The doorbell camera doesn’t detect movement half the time. We were really excited to try this system. But after we were told they were going to waive the installation fee but then charged our credit card and then told us after the fact. Just very disappointed in this company and system.

Vivint had some of the glass break sensor, fire alarm, and video cameras that were included in the package that we didn't have with ADT, so we changed. The package had more for the money than ADT. The system of Vivint also had less wire and their rep was very convincing. The customer service is also better and the representatives from Vivint were great. The installation was also fast because there was stuff from ADT that were existing and they used it. I'm an electrician and I helped out a little too.

My husband and I have been wanting to get a home security system for a while, plus our carbon monoxide detector was failing. Moreover, a lady who worked with Vivint was walking around the neighborhood. Everything conveniently happened all at the same time. We've been with Vivint for two months and it has been amazing so far. We had gotten just the basic system, but we had the carbon monoxide detector attached, which has saved us from a carbon monoxide disaster. The installation went quite well, but still I'm having issues keeping my system connected to my Wi-Fi.

I already had a security system which I was not using. Then, someone from Vivint came to my door and I told them what I got. He convinced me to take it, but after I put Vivint system in, it turned out I could not get out of the other contract and I had to pay for another year and a half on the other one, so I paid for two. I’ve had the Vivint system now for several years, but we were never instructed on how to use it. I had robbers in the area, so I had them come out. A very nice guy came, explained to us how the key fobs work on our system, and showed me the panel. We were very pleased with him. His supervisor also stopped in to check on him and the young man had just finished. As soon as he went, it turned out the system had worn out. So, they had to replace the system and the panel.
The system also started going crazy with the smoke detector and I couldn’t get it turned off. I went over the phone with them and they helped me through it. It turned out the smoke detector was defective, so they sent me another one. Since then, it started the system again. Vivint's techs ended up coming out again because when we went to replace the batteries, the system was liquid nailed and we couldn’t get the parts opened. And they came the day they said they would come.
Overall, their customer service has been great in terms of coming out and explaining things. Although the first time they were supposed to come, they didn't show up and didn't call. I was also unhappy that I was on hold for over a half-hour to try to find out if the guy was ever gonna show up and then they could not even reach him on the phone to find out what was going on. Also, one complaint I've had was that a year after I got the system, I was told they were gonna do the cameras. They started charging me for cameras but I don't have them yet. Then, they told me that they were gonna up my rates for it even though I said that I don't have them. Those aside, I am pleased with Vivint and I'd recommend them. I told my neighbor who was talking about getting a system about them.

BREACH OF CONTRACT. I was not informed I had to have internet in my HOME to view who was at my doorbell and view clips from the app. I was not informed I had to pay 25.00 fee to the city for having a security system when other companies do not charge that. Their bank they work with citizens was charging a whole other credit card that should of been updated a month ago after speaking with a rep and giving all the info then... Then you cannot get out till the 1,400 bill is paid in full. I was told they will continue to take out their 54.00 till citizens is paid off which is **, and unprofessional. The goal here should be to keep customers happy and stop employees from being dishonest to your customers. Misleading... breach of contract. The mess the installers did to my wall :O after moving the screen to another wall. OMG DONT DO IT!!!

My service with Vivint has been average so far. If I had any issues, it was a long call and waiting to get it fixed, so I typically didn’t call them unless I absolutely had to. I recently moved in April and the guy didn’t show up for the first appointment to remove the system. I had to take more time off work and he came. Then I had to go a week without the system and have somebody else reinstall it.

We like to feel secure. So we wanted full security for our house. We not only researched online, but we also talked to other people that had Vivint, and to our friends that also had other security systems too, and Vivint seemed to be the best fit for us. We really like the outdoor cameras and the window and door sensors on our security system. We could arm and disarm the house with our smartphone and track what was going on inside and outside the house throughout the day. Also, the Vivint reps were fantastic, very helpful and informative. Vivint had great service and we never had any problems. I already recommended Vivint to a neighbor.

Vivint has really good techs who know their stuff. They used their own ladders when they did the installation and everything was fine. I got an alarm system, two outside cameras, mobile access to open the garage doors and the door locks. Some of the monitors that were installed were old and when we had some issues, the techs came and replaced them with Vivint's more updated technology. We also had our cameras turned off and we were told that we would be credited, but that didn’t happen. And all of a sudden, our cameras work again. Other than that, our overall experience with them has been very easy.

I am a Vivint customer since March 2018. About one month ago I started getting contract information and email for a Vivint customer named Raphael **. I contacted Vivint via email and even tried Twitter to complain about this. I got no reply from my emails, but did get messages from Vivint on Twitter ensuring me that my email address has been removed from Raphael **'s account. I still get emails at least once a week addressed to this other customer. I contacted Vivint on Twitter again, and they told me to treat Vivint email as spam and ignore their emails.
I am a Vivint security customer and they're telling me to ignore their emails rather than them fixing the problem. I'm pretty disgusted by this and wish I could get out of my contract. I know Raphael **'s home address and phone number, I know how much he paid for his system and the type of equipment he purchased, I know how much his monthly payments are. How do you think he would feel if I called him and told him all of this? That's my next step.

My Name is Brian **, and my story is a sad one. I was told how great your service was and my expectations were high, but after being on your service for 3 weeks now, my experience has been terrible. During my install, 1 out of the 3 smart lock wasn't working and the tech didn't have another, and said we would need to reschedule another time to install it. I scheduled that appointment between 12-4 and the next guy was a no show. I called and told customer service and they told me the scheduling department would call me. They never did, they just scheduled me for a 4-8 without my consent, even though I told them I needed a 12-4. They also chose a day I couldn't even be available. I called them and told them no, that would not work I needed a 12-4.
They scheduled me again for a 12-4, yet again a no show by the tech. I called again and ended up with a very rude customer service supervisor who said he escalated my issue to the highest level and there was no more he could do, and that scheduling would get ahold of me. Nobody has called me yet and it's been 24hrs. What kind of escalation is that? Not only that, but my control panel broke last night, after being with tech support, and going through troubleshooting it still isn't working and the earliest they could get somebody out here is 2 weeks from now? I can't even use my system!

A salesperson from Vivint came to my door and offered everything we needed in a security system, so we went with them. The sales people were knowledgeable and satisfied all our needs. We have the automatic locks, smoke detector, carbon monoxide sump, doorbell camera, and window sensors in our service package. The quality of the equipment is great and the reps have been awesome. I have several cameras, two thermostats, and the ability to look at everything through the app in the package I got from Vivint. The cameras have been nothing but trouble ever since they were installed. Furthermore, they're constantly offline and really slow to load even though I have excellent internet service. By the time you even look at the doorbell, people were already gone. Their team was mostly helpful over the phone but I was not willing to pay somebody to come out because it never worked right. I do not recommend Vivint because the cameras were not working.

Vivint works great for me and my satisfaction with their service has been pretty good so far. I pay less and I get more with their home security system. I got two cameras from them, compared to only one from my previous security service provider. The representatives have wanted to help me to the maximum and the installation was done very quickly. The system has worked well and Vivint is better than most of the other security service providers.

I had another alarm system that was bought out by Vivint. I'm satisfied with the features included in the service package that I have. Given my circumstances, there are a lot of options for me like door closings and automatic locks, but I don’t have the services to be able to support that, so I just use the system for home security and I'm happy. Sometimes, I set the alarm up at night, then I opened the door and left in the morning, and I forgot to turn the alarm off. I had one phone call from them and they were fine once I gave them the password. But I never got a police response.

This program is awesome, best choice I have made so far, however, the only issue that I wish would change is the 30 second record time incidents. I wish I had the option to continuous record. If someone is robbing you but moving very fast. It would only record a total of 30 seconds.

Salesmen was awesome and great but I am still having issues with system since it was installed and reconsidering canceling. Garage door cannot be opened, I can’t control thermostat, I can’t see what’s happening at garage with app, and at times Wifi is completely disconnected from system, making it unusable.

Service was quick and thorough. Everything went well, only a minor hang up with getting signed into the phone app. Only have one issue at this point. My doorbell no longer rings inside the house. I have not submitted a request to have that looked at yet. I just found that this morning.

When the Vivint installer was at my house installing my “wireless” products for a 10 day “free trial”, he cut the wires to my active alarm panel, removed it from the wall and proceeded to the basement to cut more wires downstairs. My alarm was immediately disabled and rendered useless. I called the next day to have the Vivint equipment removed because of my horrible experience and, shocker, the installation tech had no idea how to repair my original, perfectly working, alarm system back to normal. He just took the Vivint equipment and left. I called my rep Joe and talked to him and his manager and it’s been over a week with no resolution. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Vivint. I’ve called and texted Joe this week, still no answer??? If I could give zero stars, I would.

My service package includes a doorbell, a camera in the doorbell, the door that opens by pressing a button and a sensor upstairs. I love the features but the quality of the equipment is very poor. We’ve had some issues with the motion detector sensor. It was out for a while and Vivint has sent me one, which I would have to install. I have also been very disappointed with the doorbell and this is the third one. It wasn’t working the last two times and they came to change it. I shouldn’t have all those troubles with the camera either.
I was also very concerned about the fact that I've had to call them a few times whenever something is not working. I would be on the phone with them trying to clear up the problem for an hour and a half. One day, my husband was there for an hour and a half then the next day, I had to call back again for an hour and a half. Despite that, things could not be worked out. I’m not satisfied with Vivint and it has been getting so frustrating that the next time I have equipment with them, I’m gonna go to another company. This has happened too frequently and is causing a lot of distress.

The Vivint sales representative who came to the door was very experienced. He did a good job at selling me the system and showing me how good it was. And when the system was installed, the young people who came in to do it were quick and efficient. However, they didn't stay long enough to test and refine the thing. The door locks would jamb and bind, for example, and so I had to get my tools out myself and unjamb them and bind them so they’d move freely back and forth.
At first, I had very poor satisfaction with the service. It was a communications problem with the control panel in the door sensors. In fact, my wife was at the point where she wanted to take the system out and get the original one we had in Boston. But I said to give it a try because I liked the security and smoke detector features that Vivint has. It took the local service people four visits and a whole pile of different options that they had to install to correct this. They are top notch. And now that the system is working, I love it. It has been trouble-free. I have not had a hitch with it in a good eight months at all.
In closing, while I would tell people to go ahead and get the system from Vivint, I would put a caveat and give them notice to make sure that before the installers leave, they fully explain some of the features and test the equipment well enough. However, the service, the telephone support, and the people that I throw these troubles that I was having, they are second to none. They are actually excellent.

I like the camera for the front door and also the visibility. But when we moved, we realized we had to pay a $300 transfer fee. So, that floored us back and forth a little. But otherwise, as long as I don't have to use it, that's great. I'm very satisfied with Vivint's service.

When we were looking at houses, some had Vivint on them, so we looked more into it. Their reps have been very professional when we dealt with them. Then their installers came out and put the system in. We've been with them for a month and a half and everything is good so far. We had a little trouble with the Vivint thermometer, but it has gotten better now and they have finally gotten all those bugs worked out. But lately, my app is not working from my camera on my doorbell. Other than that, I'm very happy with Vivint and I would tell a friend of mine that they need to get them.

The security system I like just fine. Love the doorbell camera and it is very easy to use. That said, it came with the Nest thermostat and I am not too fond of it. It is supposed to learn my habits, and so far isn't doing well at that. And the Vivint App is awful. It gives me incorrect info a lot (says that I am away when I am home, for example) and also seems to change the temperature randomly. And so far Vivint customer service has been no help at all when I have called with questions specific to the App. I really think that the reps could use more training.

I generally take great pride in my ability to pick the best product/company/service/etc to meet my needs, as I am more dependent on research rather than sales pressure or commercial lure. This has been a major disappointment and exceptionally frustrating, to put it mildly. It is rare for me to complain, even rarer for me to rebuke- yet I’ve now found myself actively deterring neighbors from taking the same Vivint path. Consider the following:
1. Skipped a weekend trip to stay home for scheduled install- 5 hour window. Came back in house when getting close to end of the window to discover message: Vivint canceled (rain expected during one hour of that 5 hour window). 2. At time of installation: Told them that the [superior hardwired] Vivint cameras would go where my lower quality battery operated Arlo cameras were, and the Arlo cameras need to be moved to less active areas- as discussed with the salesperson. Informed ‘we don’t move your cameras...unless willing to pay them on the side’ - The ONLY reason I looked at going pro [Vivint] was to have a worthy video surveillance. It was no secret that I already had video cameras. I have physical limitations that make climbing a ladder impossible. And if I could do the work myself, no need for Vivint. If Vivint really can't (liability) do what I was wanting- I would have never bought the system in the first place.
3. AC stopped working immediately after smart thermometer installed. We went 48 hours without air in Florida, in July. Helpline informed us that someone would be there July 10- a week later! Another call had my daughter do some stuff, which resulted with the conclusion that nothing is wrong with the equipment- so it must be our AC system! Another call said to call our local HVAC guy; Vivint would put in an insurance claim and IF the claim is paid to Vivint, then I would be reimbursed. Missed a day of work. HVAC found the error. Repayment was swift.
4. Garage door sensor set off alarm immediately when opened. Walked through piercing sound every day after work. Received warning from county that we will start getting ticketed for too many false alarms, with prices increasing for each additional ticket. Vivint call- sensor was set wrong- reset OTA. 5. Cameras would not stay online. Then couldn’t get them online at all. We’ve had a slew of burglaries in our neighborhood- I had to leave town for a week, and my ‘suveillanve upgrade’ was a blackout. Tech came to address. Able to get them online, but needs (?) some other equipment to create a more consistent strong signal... expect a few more weeks. So far, still able to video, however... 6. Unable to set to continuous videotaping. When set, will reset self back to tape only with movement.
The police have been to my house 4 times (excluding false alarm visits)- each time was because of the burglaries nearby and them noticing my cameras. First visit- burglary happened earlier in the day (ironically, before cameras were installed, but after they were scheduled to be installed). Second visit- sorry, cameras are offline and waiting for tech visit. Third visit- sorry, cameras are not turned on (?). Maybe the tech didn’t reset them??? So, I personally set all three cameras for 30 day continuous recording.
The very next day... Fourth visit- 2 more car burglaries in the neighborhood, one was my next door neighbor. Neighbor's car was in direct view of one of my cameras and Camera 2 offline (so no video of pedestrians and cars entering neighborhood). Camera 3 is online, but not doing continuous record as set. Has 2 twenty second clips in the timeframe of burglary... and no video of crime being committed RIGHT IN ITS FOCUS AREA! Would you buy a security system from VIvint if you were my neighbor? My hope is that Vivint (and my own personal security) benefit from the sharing of this information.

Our salesperson was courteous and the system was installed immediately by what appeared to be highly qualified personnel. We have had no need to contact support due to any issues with the system after installation (unlike a previous system we had installed). The system works very well and I'm confident support will be available quickly if I have any issues. My only "complaint" is the salesperson is working far later into the evening than is appropriate - or safe. That should stop.

We asked for front door lock system and garage door opener. That’s what we wanted most out of everything and was told, "No problem. We could have it done." Installation came out and said he couldn’t do the front door lock. Then when came time for the garage he said he couldn’t figure it out and said ours wasn’t compatible.

I have been very displeased with your service. From the rude tech (Christopher) to the system not working properly. My sensors have not been communicating with my system since last week and I have yet to get someone out to address this issue. We tried troubleshooting over the phone, but that did not work. Is this how new customers are treated? Had I known that you all would not be able to get techs out timely, I would have stayed with my old system that was working properly and any time I had an issue, I had a tech within 24 hours come out.
In addition, I have never dealt with such rude techs that came to my house to do the install. They were not finished by 10:15pm and I had to ask them to come back the next day. Chris responded that they are sometimes in customers homes until 2:00am. Well, you can't be in my house at that time. We rescheduled for the next day at 6:00pm. After rushing home, I was later informed by Kenny, the sales rep, that the techs would not be by until 8:30pm. When I reached out to customer service, they advised that my appointment was not until the following day from 4:00pm-6:00pm of which I knew nothing about.
While on the phone with CS, the techs arrived. Again,very rude. There was a message on the panel that the 02 cover was loose. Chris was aware of this message and when he was leaving I asked if he cleared the 02 sensor message, he replied "you're good". Well, I wasn't good. I had to call CS and they walked me through how to take the cover off. In addition, Chris refused to use the wiring for my current doorbell and drilled a very ugly hole in my wall and used a staple gun to try and hide the wiring. This is an awful site to look at now. I have sought advice from some other individuals and they advised that Chris could have used the current wiring.
I have some friends that are interested in getting the system but I am advising them against it based on my experience. As I type this note, no one has contacted me about when a tech can come out and fix a brand new system that is not working and had not worked since last week. I do not have an appointment yet even though they tell me they have escalated my issue. Really? If this is escalated, I would have to see how long it would normally take for a non-urgent issue. Please get my system working ASAP or come and uninstall everything. Thanks.

We have Vivint's sensors, thermostat, door locks, doorbell camera, dual camera and outdoor camera. Our system was self-served as we're agents for Primerica. Calling in and talking to someone at VIvint is better now that there's a dedicated personnel for Primerica clients. We had difficulty in identifying a problem as far as the thermostat and we had to have three calls out for that, but it was eventually figured out.
I'm generally satisfied with Vivint's service. The accessibility outside of the home is a key factor for us and we like being able to control the thermostat. We have the garage opener, so we also like being able to check and see if the garage was left open or not. If we decide to stay out of town longer, we can leave the thermostat on vacation mode so it lowers the bills. We have the light controls for safety outside of the house when we're not here and we like being able to turn the lights on even though we're not in the home.

The Vivint people were in the area doing some work and they stopped by, and I hooked up with them. The sales reps were professional and it was really nice dealing with them. I got a new, updated service package because my previous one went kaput. But there are always problems with the new system and I need to call them. It is not as smooth as the old system which worked better. Sometimes, the alarm goes off for no reason, even if the doors are closed. Also, sometimes when I close the door, the system doesn't say that the door is closed.

We've upgraded our service package to a slightly different system with a new color and the installation of the upgraded system went well. I'm sure we would recommend Vivint to others.

Vivint has the latest and greatest things more than another company I know. There's a camera on the doorbell and it'll go to the cellphone and I can see it that way, communication wise. However, I still got an issue with the doorbell camera and it needs to be reset to the main panel. I've tried all the other steps and that's the last one to go on before I call them up for help. Other than that, it has been good and the reps were okay. I have been with Vivint since June and they are a good company. You ought to check them out.

Doorbell does not work. Doorbell panel freezes all the time. Back camera never worked. Waiting on someone to come fix. Was told to get highest internet available and I did but still doesnt work. Camera in front works if you pull it up on phone but doorbell doesn't ring and panel stays frozen and if you reset it immediately freezes again.

Sales guy: pushy, door to door is aggressive, but good at his job. Install guy: terrible, had to install part of the system with my own tools as he watched, components not all functioning properly. Installed locks backwards. We felt less safe than we had before. Phone / chat support tree: designed to trap than help. Would reach some departments that would just keep pushing me on to the next. Overall more headaches than benefits.

I have had the Vivint Smart Home system for only a few weeks, however, I am very disappointed with the motion detection feature of the doorbell camera. When someone steps onto the porch, it detects their presence only occasionally. I was told by the technician the problem was in the firmware and there was no estimated time for a fix to be implemented.

The salesperson was a very nice but it was way too late to install the system and he explained that he could not have installed the next day which would have been today to get proper credit. Unless the client really is available for that late of an install I would highly suggest that train yourselves men to not inconvenience a client quite that much. Sunday evenings should be off limits in my opinion. Other than that... I think I will be very happy with my system.

Both Jordan ** (sales person) and Matthew - last name cannot remember (installation) were very respectful and courteous of my home and my time. Matthew was not originally the installer assigned to me that morning but the other person's car broke down so he came instead. He called to explain this and he let me know he was running a little late. When he was here with my home full of children and dogs he was never rude to anyone of them. When my family bought our first house we knew we wanted a security system, but did not think we could afford one. Then we were told about Vivint and we made the choice to try it out. The first day having it we discovered that our babysitter that we trusted completely was neglecting our children while we were away. Without this system I would have never known. The guy who sold us the system has been amazing too. He always responds quickly if we have any issues and sends someone out that day to fix it. I recommend this to everyone! I needed an alarm system for my security. My mother then referred me to Vivint. I got the doorbell with the monitor, as well as glass breaks and the alarm. The sales rep was very good, personable, knowledgeable and she cut right to the chase. The installers were bright, too. They cleaned up after to the point I wanted to hang to clean my house. I ordered an alarm system that included a camera for my backyard. One of the main places someone enters into someone's home is through the back door, so why did my camera not work from the time it was installed and the entire time I was on vacation. I was told that it would be fixed the very first time it didn't work, but that never happened. I asked for the garage door opener, but it didn't work either. I'm not going to pay for an alarm system this expensive that doesn't work. Simple and plain as that.

Our service contact Hector was fast and knowledgeable. We got our account set up and installation done all within a few days. Installation completed by Matt. He was super professional, fast and easy to work with. He also took the time to make sure the installation was completed without affecting the look of our newly remodeled home. The equipment is very user friendly and easy to use.

Several months ago, a Vivint sales rep came and it was my birthday at that time. I had a dinner to go to so I told him I was late and I didn’t have time for the sales pitch right then. Instead of considering that, all he wanted to do was make a sale. He was very pushy. So, I signed a contract to get the service to get him out of my house. And right after he left, I called and canceled. But the second time a Vivint sales rep knocked on my door, I've had very good interactions with him. He was very personable. He asked if I had the time then, I said yes, and we were good. Then the installer was wonderful. She not only installed the system but she made sure everything works. She also made sure that I didn’t have any questions.
I have the doorbell camera, which I like when it works, and one other camera. I live alone so the doorbell camera is important but I've had a lot of trouble with it. This last time, it seems to be okay. But I was hoping that someone took the initiative to say, “Oh, you've had a lot of problems with this. Let's see what we can do.” Also, Vivint didn't give me any door locks since I already had a system. The door locks were already in place but I got charged for them. Other than that, the Vivint people are very responsive when I call them and that is absolutely a good thing.

A Vivint representative came to our door and was able to upgrade our home security system to be exactly what we wanted at the same cost we were already paying another security company. The representative listened to my concerns and was able to address them and make me feel confident with my purchase. We have had it for about a month now, and it has been exactly what we hoped for - now I can rest easy knowing our home is secure!

We are experiencing problems with the door camera. Doorbell cameras does not connect with panel. It's always takes a long time to reconnect and in my phone it appears to be offline. Also it has a big delay, it just stops working. Not really satisfied. I'm paying for a equipment that does not work.

I'm sad to say, that this system and customer service has been less than satisfying. First, the salesperson, Keb, hasn't changed my name from Vick to Vic, which he said he would do immediately. Still waiting. Additionally, I called to query him on some questions that my wife and I had, left voice messages and still haven't received a return call. As for the system, the doorbell camera worked for a week then it lost power. It was said that my doorbell transformer was bad. Our house is only 1 1/2 years old, really? They put a dedicated line for the camera to work, now we have a line at our front door. I know we agreed, however, we felt backed into the corner.
Now our house number light doesn't work anymore and the wires were just left hanging in our closet where the transformer is located. Now it's left up to us to figure out where the wires go to get that back to the original configuration. All we're looking for is a little communication in making our house back to a working condition. We didn't think that it would be left completely inoperable. If the emergency services were looking for our address that could mean matters of seconds or minutes which could be life or death. If we could, we would like to completely get out of this contract. Please advise when you could come and get your equipment. We've only been in this contract one month. I'm sure something could be done.

I had the basic Vivint home security system for years at my old home (single story, 2100 sqft). 1 indoor camera and alarm system. I was a first time homeowner and first time dealing with an alarm company. The panel would go "offline" quite a bit but over a few years, the home alarm went off maybe 3 times and the company was responsive. Customer service was not knowledgeable on how to fix the "offline" issue. They blamed the internet service but the internet was at full capacity.
1 year ago we moved into a larger home (2 story, 3000 sqft "U" shaped home). Because we were "still in contract" we had them continue service in our new home. The installation staff are very kind and seem to know what they are doing. Because of the larger home, we added 3 indoor cameras, 1 outdoor camera and a doorbell camera. The installers said we should have no problems. It has been 16 months since we have lived here and we are still having the same "offline" issues. The doorbell camera hasn't worked more than a total of 1 week in 16 months, the 1 outdoor camera has ALWAYS worked with no problems, and the 3 indoor camera only work randomly but never consistent.
We call customer service ALL THE TIME and they either blame the internet service (we had all new high end routers installed) or they offer to send a tech out. Every time a tech comes, they say they don't know why the cameras won't work or why the panel keeps going offline. So therefore, we are not protected. We have called the corporate offices multiple times requesting to discontinue our service and to come pick up their equipment but they keep saying "you are in contract". If your product doesn't work or provide the service we are paying for, why do we have to continue with your service? We will be calling a tech out monthly until they remove the system and seek legal advice.

The Vivint rep came to my door and explained that their system was easy to use, and we switched from ADT. It's a better system and we use it at night now, which we weren’t doing before. The installers were fast and efficient. Though I would not mind to have a camera on my doorbell, we're satisfied.

There was damage to my wall during installation. I was told by the second tech they arm out (because the first tech could not install it) that he would note the damages that the first tech cause and someone would get back to me and it's been a few months. I figured I would've heard something by now. Also since the installation we just notice the back doors doorbell doesn't work and I looked in the box for the doorbell and they twisted wires together during installation. Dont know what they did but the back doorbell doesn't work now.

Vivint told me they had some good features and I figured I would try them out. The installation team was good, fast and experienced. I got cameras and motion sensors with my service package. But there have been ups and downs. The services were connected and disconnected, offline and online. But other than that, everything has been good. It's a good system and the representatives were all helpful. They were always answering my questions. They couldn't resolve all the problems but they were good.

A door-to-door Vivint salesman sounded good and got me to agree. He was knowledgeable and very pushy, but I was upset that the installation guy came immediately after the salesman left and was at my house until 12 midnight installing the system. One of the stipulations on the sale was that we had to be acceptable and giving to the installation. I didn’t realize it was gonna happen that night until after I signed the paperwork. Other than that, the installation was okay.
I got two cameras and normal security included in the service package. I have two accounts with them and the service at my home is good, but the one at my business is horrible. We were having a lot of issues with their cameras for a while and the system going down. There was a system update that went through and it messed up the system for a few weeks causing my facility to be unsecured and without cameras multiple times, which for my business was a little concerning because I have a bunch of tools in there that are worth a lot of money. The reason I paid for the service is to have the security.
There were some complications for a little while, but we got everything figured out now and everything seems to be working satisfactorily after several installers came out to move cameras, add cameras, take cameras away, put in repeaters and do whatever they had to do to get the signals in the cameras where they were having issues. After some arguments, they updated a few cameras for us free of charge, which was nice.
It took several phone calls, several hours on the phone with them complaining, and several people coming out from their team installers to assess the situation. Half of the time, they got there and said there was nothing they can do. I had to call back and there was a big runaround until they replaced cameras and got everything working correctly the last time a guy was out. One thing I don’t like about Vivint is every time I call in to talk to someone, they pass me along to the account manager. We don’t have one account manager. Every time I talk to someone there, there's someone different. It's not the same person, which is kind of upsetting. It's a great thing if Vivint can get the system working correctly in your place. All their stuff are Wi-Fi, so you should have Wi-Fi. It also seems to be competitively priced.

I customized my Vivint package and the service has been good so far. The one guy that showed up was fantastic. He did all the windows and doors on the first floor, the motion sensors and the outdoor cameras. He cleaned up after himself and made sure everything was programmed and adjusted right before he left.

To make it quick after he gave his sales pitch which was unnecessary the alarm sells itself we specifically asked him to give us overnight To think about it. And I know that when you got a fish dangling on the hook you don’t let it fester overnight but he did not respect our wishes. I went into a panic mode and get extremely frustrated and even then they didn’t back off. Please understand they were being Disrespect other than being at our house at 10:30 at night they weren’t rude very polite just extremely pushy. You’re selling alarms not I can’t even think of anything that requires that much effort. I’m 85 years old. I was unable to eat dinner. Other than that I love my unit. It is really easy to operate.

Was so happy to get what I needed without asking. Able to see what is and has happened around the house. Was not able to do this with the old ADT system. The system looks great and now I can see everything in color and in real time. The boys put the system through a test by opening a bedroom window and set off a message to let us know.

We were undecided about which company to select for a Home Security System. We chose Vivint because it met our needs with straightforward and effective solutions. And, all of our neighbors who have subsequently installed the system are pleased as well. Our salesperson, Jon **, has been outstanding from installation and troubleshooting. We had some minor issues with connectivity, which Jon personally addressed and followed through diligently with his tech team to assure that our system had been optimized. I can't say enough about the level of responsiveness and support that we've experienced with this company and hope that going forward they maintain their excellent focus on customer service. The system has been up and running now for over a month and we are extremely pleased with the features and ease of use.

Installation went most very good. Very nice, courteous installer who was willing and patient in helping two "smartphone challenged" people get things set up on their phone. Did have one issue with wires being cut in the wall but Vivint already reached out to pay for repair. My one negative issue is that the cameras are not keeping history and it cannot be corrected until I am back up at my vacation home the end of Aug. My main reason for the installation was not needing an alarm system but being able to see who may be using my house or hot tub without my knowledge.

Vivint came to me. I didn't go to Vivint. A sales representative came to my door about 7pm couple weeks ago. Made his pitch and his main sales point was the Nest thermostats. 45 minutes later I agreed to full package of Nest, ring doorbell video, security cameras, etc. Then he says he has techs coming over to get it installed tonight. Being it's after 8pm at that point. 11:30pm I told them they needed to come back and finish due to I get up at 4 am for work. They said, "No problem. We will be here tomorrow Friday evening." Tech left and then I saw the mass amounts of insulation in my closet, wake up next morning, let my dogs out, let 'em in and realized the techs left a huge box of wire outside and my dogs destroyed it, my yard a complete mess.
Friday afternoon the tech texted me saying they would come out Saturday since they would have more Nest thermostats in stock. I said, No problem," however I am leaving out of town at 10 am so they would need to show up early to finish. He said they'd be there at 7am. 10am Saturday comes around and no one has called or showed up. I'm pretty pissed off at this point. I call corporate then get transferred 3 times before I got any response. They said they could have someone arrive before 11am, I reluctantly agreed. I really needed to leave. Tech didn't show up until after 11am. Was here 5 minutes then decided to tell me my system wasn't compatible for the Nest thermostats, which was one of the main features I decide to switch. So I'm really pissed. Told them to leave. I'm just canceling everything. Call corporate again and again transferred several times.
They shouldn't sell me on services and promises and not deliver on those agreed terms. It took TWO weeks to get them to finish the job and I still don't have the thermostats. The only reason I'm still with them is they had already disconnected all my ADT equipment and wouldn't reconnect. When they send reps out they need to be able to evaluate a home for compatibility prior to selling someone on the full ride of a smart home. But my house was left a huge mess, and got poor service. Only positive to date was the last tech who finished the initial job. He was thorough and communicated everything with me. Rest of the process was painful and frustrating for something that should of been an easy task.

When I bought my house, there was a concierge service and Vivint was recommended through them. The system is easy to operate from my cellphone. I have the occasional accidental alarm where they talk to me remotely and they respond instantly.

I got a basic security system from Vivint and their equipment was up-to-date and reliable. However, I got annoyed with their sales department when I initially called them. I was just gathering information at that point and I didn’t even know anything about the equipment including how many cameras I might want but they immediately inundated with calls and emails to schedule an installation. Then when I had a problem and I tried to call and email them, they didn't return my emails. I called them one time and I was put on hold for 27 minutes so I hung up. Other than that, their installation guy was excellent and he answered my questions in a logical manner. He was very knowledgeable about the system, the installation and what he was doing. And so far, I’ve been very pleased with my services with Vivint.

My husband and I had been thinking about a security system for a while and Vivint's system seemed like a good deal. The sales representative that we spoke with was great. He explained everything and he was patient. We had questions to ask and he seemed to be knowledgeable about the equipment. Likewise, the installer was good and very knowledgeable about the product. The little monitor that goes up on the wall and the little box were included in the package that we purchased. They threw in a monitor for the front door and we also have a monitor on our sliding glass door in the back and on the door going out to the garage. The basic package is the cheapest one, but it gets pretty expensive when you start adding all the different features.
The only problem I have is that the app I put on my phone so I can see whoever comes to our front door doesn’t work, although it worked okay when our system was first installed. Most of the time, when people come up to ring the doorbell, it's supposed to do something on my phone but it doesn’t. It works okay, though, and shows up on the box that we have on the wall inside our house. But I look at that box only to make sure that my system is okay and I don’t go over to it to look and see who has come to my front door as I'd rather do this on my phone. There might be a disconnect between my phone and my computer system. I've tried to have Vivint send somebody out, but they wanna do everything on the phone. I'd rather have somebody come out and look at the equipment than have somebody on the phone try to walk me through the steps. But they said that after the first 30 days, they'd charge us to have somebody come out.

The only problem I had is that they came at 11:30 at night. They got delayed. I understand that but they didn’t leave until 1:30 am. Otherwise, they did good work. Installers were very courteous. They were working very hard.

I haven’t had the system very long. The install was pretty fast and the installer was nice. I switched over to Vivint from ADT because the quality of the camera footage was better. My doorbell camera only picks people up half the time. I’ve stood in front of it and waved and it still didn’t pick anything up. That’s my biggest issue. I also had the overhead garage door sensor installed but I wanted the sensor deactivated so I can open the garage when the system is armed. That sensor however never gets deactivated. The installer deactivated the sensor but the alarm still goes off. I went back into the system and turned it off yet the alarm still goes off. I don’t understand. People for Vivint were great and system is just ok. For as much money as it costs I’d prefer to not have and issues with it.

Have had Vivint system for 5 years now. Issues encountered have been: 1. The camera seem to either disconnect from the router, unable to view, or have to reset the whole system for the camera to reconnect. Typically takes 30 min to over an hour to reboot or re-add back camera. 2. Door sensors batteries are difficult to remove and I have accidentally broken one before. Vivint needs to update their sensors, using a butter knife per customer support shouldn't be a requirement in removing batteries of the sensors. Seems outdated. 3. Customer support to come out is pricey. It should be free after spending over an hour with customer support in troubleshooting. 4. Lamp Module has never worked ever since we received it and customer support said they would order it. Five years later, still no lamp Module.
5. Why should customers pay for shipping when the camera has a defect or it's out of date. We recently called Vivint for another video camera issue and they said, "We will send you out a new updated version, but you will have to pay for shipping." Why? Not our responsibility, for something we cannot control. Overall, our experience with Vivint is disappointing. To add on top of it, as we express our dissatisfaction of the service, I would like to remind Kenya, we are your customers, please maintain your professionalism, as we are disgruntled because the same issue arises repeatedly. We did not curse, we did not yell, nor did you, but your expression of, "Excuse me," implies that you couldn't wait to get off the phone with us.

Someone from Vivint came to me at my old house and said I was qualified and probably I should get solar. So, I had the solar panels installed and I was good with that. Somebody then came back and told me about Vivint's home security system. I told them it was not worth to be getting the system because we purchased a new house and we were in the process of selling the old house. They said moving the service should not be a problem and it would not cost me. When I had to call them to have them move it, they were trying to charge me and I told them that I was told I would not be getting charged for that. I argued with them and they finally said they would not charge me, but if I move any time after that, I will have to pay.
So, they came and disconnected the system. I moved in January and I've had numerous issues with the security system once they put it in my new house. The system is great when it works, but I realized that there was something wrong when I had a big truck pull into my backyard that was cutting trees and I couldn't see the truck. The sensor in the camera at the garage when the big dump truck passed didn't go off. How am I supposed to know that this camera is not gonna fail if somebody goes in my backyard now? I had to have my brother-in-law install another router for the camera to work. Recently, since the last technician came, there hasn't been an issue like that, but this time, the cameras will say, "I'm able to record." I've seen two or three error messages or the camera would be blank.
Also, there were plenty of times that I've made appointments for technicians to come out and they never came. They would cancel and not tell me anything, so I'd sit and wait. But when they came out, they said they would come back because they didn't have this and that. On the other hand, there was only one technician that showed up every time he says he was gonna show up and I've never had an issue with him. He understood my problem and my frustration. He came back right away after he got whatever he needed to fix the issue with my system. He gave us his number, but sometimes if he's busy or he's off, I can't expect him to come out to work on the thing. The last technician that came out fixed the issue and he told us that the cameras outside get damaged. So, they're supposed to give us new cameras and I haven't heard anything since.
Lastly, for the last two months, I have not paid anything because my credit card has changed and nobody called me to say I'm not paying the bill. They said that my system will shut down because I'm not paying the bill and I told them nobody ever called me and I had an automatic payment. They wanna call me for non-payment but they don't wanna give me something that works. In addition, my name should be the person on the account because I'm the one who pays the bill. Moreover, I've recommended three friends and two of them got the system and they like it, but I haven't gotten any kind of compensation or any type of credit. My experience with Vivint has been horrible.

The house already had Vivint. The package I got had a lot of the security system, the temperature reading, and I had two where you can turn off your lamp by remote control. Pretty much, I just stuck with whatever system that was on there. The service has been fantastic. A rep came out because I had to speak with them and I had to change some things. He changed my locks and he was very helpful. I enjoy the system, the perks of being able to check on my property and to be able to get the lock on my door. I recommend Vivint to others.

Vivint is our third company over 27 years and I like them. I really like the advanced technology that they have. We can turn lights in the house off and on through the phone. We can also unlock and lock the doors through the phone. We also have the ability to give people a code to come in and out. We did that on the door so that we don’t have to hand out keys. So if we're gonna have some workmen do some things in the house, we can just give them a code, put in a temporary code for them, use it for the few days they're here and then take the code out. It's not like giving them a physical key that they can copy. I like that.
But because it's technology, things go a little hooey once in a while. Yesterday, we tried to open the garage door three times and the system said it was the wrong code. No one had been home and no one was in the garage. It wasn't an alarm. It was like a false message. It was a little weird and every once in a while, we get a little glitch like that, but nothing major. Plus they're fast when you ask about something.
The sales representative who had come out in the beginning was also a very friendly, young gentleman. He was nice and had great manners. He wasn’t particularly pushy and he gave us some options to customize the service package. We could decide what we wanted or not wanted so we took a few of the other options. We got an outside camera. The installers were good too. They took their shoes off and took care of the house. They also used some of our existing equipment, like the motion detectors. I chatted with them and they were funny and friendly.

There was a salesperson from Vivint going around house to house but I already had the Vivint solar system. The guy had some good skills and he sold me the door alarm. And on the day that he showed up, they did the installation and it was quick. But I didn’t like that they used majority of my existing hardware and stuff. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn’t have done it because the overall cost of the installation and stuff that they put in and charged me was a lot of money. When I did AT&T, it cost me $49.99 and I got everything. This one cost me $2,000 and I’m still paying on that one even though there was no contract. The alarm system is cool and it looks good but so did AT&T. I really wanted the door camera but in hindsight, I could've gotten that with AT&T. Still, Vivint has a solid system and it works fine. I had some issues off and on for a while but those issues have been resolved.

This is a terrific system. It is high-quality and easy to use and highly customizable to your particular situation. The telephone support people were outstanding and the installers were great!?? I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a quality alarm system for home or business.

Tech did a great job, he explained everything and he was really kind. I will recommend his services to another friends. The tech arrived on time and finished the job on right time and he also give us an excellent suggestions for our alarm system. We are highly satisfied with the services.

Smart home door camera install. He was fast, accurate and explained everything. I'm completely satisfied and would recommend giving to anyone with confidence. The billing process got complicated, but that did not have anything to do with install. I'm glad my home is secure and that I can ensure that from anywhere via the app.

Very disappointed in follow up service because nothing is being resolved. Also do not like the unlighted door keypad, tech is not working in our house, don't like that alarm does not sound when entering without disarming, and sick of the sound the panel makes when things are not working which is everyday. I called the 800 # and was disconnected after a long wait, asked my rep to have someone call me and 4 days later no one has.

I was not satisfied with the service. The installation was never complete. And when I went to cancel, the customer service rep accused me of stealing a thermostat which was what was never installed because they were out at the time. When they came in to remove the products they left big holes in the walls, and destroyed the locks when they put them back on.

There has been a lot of break-ins nearby. My neighbors have Vivint and I've had it too for a couple of months now. The sales representatives were good, friendly, and helpful. The installation went perfect and I also got the mobile apps. Vivint has been good.

I was told this system would be "all that, and more"... I switched from ADT $49.00 to Vivint $59.00 a month. My alarm system was monitored by ADT right in my city and Vivint is monitored very far away, possibly in another country. My old system was hooked up to my fire and Co detectors as well as my flood detector. This Vivint system is not now. Really not happy how I'm paying more for less and I wasn't even on a contract with ADT and now I am with Vivint for 5 years!. I paid for a motion detection, smart drive, and a Google home mini which did not get installed.
I have since called and spoke to someone at Vivint customer service 3 times as well as the salesman 3 times and the technician who installed it 2 times... I even told the technician he left tools of his at my house and to collect them. But he never got back to me nor did he install/deliver my equipment. I'm not sure what to do at this point as I have not received everything I have paid for and it's been nearly 4 weeks. I talked to customer service, a loyalty department, a technical department, the sales team, and the technicians but obviously no one cares.

My friend was so satisfied with Vivint and told me about them, so I went with them as well. I have two outside cameras and a doorbell camera in the service package I purchased from them which they customized for me. The sales reps that I worked with were fantastic. They were very friendly, outgoing and understanding. They knew their job, what they were doing, and what I needed. They checked things without my having to ask them and they knew what the problem was and corrected it before I did. They customized a couple of things that I wasn’t sure of and wasn’t too comfortable with, and they made me happy. It took a while for the installers to do the installation, but they were hilarious and entertained us while they were here, and it made the time go by so that was okay.
So far, I feel good about the service. Anytime somebody talks to me about my security system, I tell them about the service, the people, and the price. I tell them that the Vivint people have been good and I've been very satisfied with them. Every time I have a problem, they come out and try to make sure that I'm happy. They're also very prompt and I don’t have to wait weeks on end. They're out here within a couple of days and they make me feel like they're family coming out here to see me.

I have been using Vivint's system for 4 months. We just bought a new home and I wanted an alarm system, but I also wanted several components to it to make it a smart home-type component. It had to be able to have a camera, the doorbell, the alarm monitoring, all of that on one system. So, when I searched, Vivint came up as one of the few that was able to offer all the components. Everyone that I’ve spoken to was very friendly and helpful and interested in making sure that all of my needs were met and that I’m satisfied with the service. However, there have been times where I’ve had to wait long periods of time to get something done. They were very polite about it, but I’ve had work that I needed to be done that I had to wait weeks and weeks to get done.
The technicians who came to my home made it a point to ask if there was anything else I needed. They also made sure they explained things. But when I needed the smoke detectors installed, I had to call several times because each time I called, they simply told me that they don't have any openings available. Then it took a few weeks of calling repeatedly to where I can get them to schedule an appointment. And while Vivint's technology offers a lot, it's not a very robust system. There are often glitches in the system like when I had it hooked up to my thermostat and almost every time I log onto the system, at least one of the thermostats is offline. I had it hooked up to my garage door as well, to open and close it, and about half the time it won’t work. When I mentioned this to a technician who came out after a month of trying to get him out, all I got was "sometimes, that happens" sort of answer.

I was very excited to have the system installed as they had several promotions and what seemed to be the most up to date equipment. My technician came to my house, damaged my wall, did not review my order and therefore missed 3 pieces of equipment, came late, and shared information regarding a famous and high end customer that they installed equipment for. The young man made a second appointment to come back and did not show up. Both times, he labeled himself as in route when he was certainly not in route to my home.
Following that day, I requested another technician. The previous gentleman sent me a text message which is highly unprofessional as I am the customer, not a friend. The second tech came and did a great job installing. The lapse in coverage from the incomplete install left me to go out of town without a security system. I contacted customer service who ordered me window stickers, a yard sign, and a stand for the panel (since the tech would not install it where I asked). They sent me a new door lock, stickers, and no sign. I still do not have a sign and they have no record of sending me a door lock. However, I received notification yesterday that I must send the lock back or in 30 days I will be charged.
The customer service lines are always busy. The salesman (Chance or Chase) and customer service rep (Kami) never return any of my messages or calls. Vivint has given me the following: 3 free sensors (after declining to order me a free transducer), approximately 2 months of free service. On top of all of this, the equipment never connects to wifi. Please, whatever you do, save yourself the hassle and do not buy a Vivint home security system. This is supposed to give you piece of mind, not a headache.

Not 5 star because the technician could have done better by cleaning up after themselves. They didnt sweep up their dust from their drilling...and they left my window blinds and curtain all eschew and didnt put back my wood I to ge window frame. So yeah...technician are all technically 5 but didnt take better care of my property so overall just a 3.

Been with Vivint Home Security for 43 months (November 2016), the cameras have been offline consistently for 42 months. I call weekly to get some type of resolution and the customer service is worse than I've ever experienced in life. They will not take responsibility for the equipment failure. They will not give me any credits. Upon installation, a rep named Roquie installed equipment then pulled a shady stunt when he asked me to sign off on the work order and contract located on his tablet. Roquie changed my responses to an evaluation about him. And, he marked the job as complete when he still had a considerable amount of work to do 2 days in a row.
Thereafter, a rep named Stephen/David (uses both names) started off incredibly nice and attentive. Then became a complete abrasive donkey once he returned after a 6th visit. Most recently, on Friday July 6th, 2018 I called for tech support and a replacement battery since it's covered under my customer loyalty plan. Today, a rep named Matt was scheduled to come between 12pm to 4pm. I called at 3:15pm to follow-up and was told Matt was finishing up a job and would be coming to my house by 4pm. At 430pm, Matt never called, never showed up. At 530pm, Johnathan called to reschedule a tech visit for Friday, July 13th, 2018. I have cameras as a medical necessity to monitor my mom who is a disabled senior citizen with Alzheimer's who suffers from seizures. What does a customer do when the service is less than substandard yet there are holes and equipment all over my darn house?

I really enjoy the service but my control panel disconnects from my WiFi sometimes and doesn’t reconnect. I also was supposed to receive 2 google home minis and also an Apple Watch. I have received either or and confirmation that I am receiving them.

Install done the very next day. No mess. No fuss. Tech explained the system and answered all questions professionally. 1st experience with Vivint was awesome. Kyle the sales associate was very accommodating and friend as well as professional. He explained the sales and installation process and answered all questions. I would definitely recommend Vivint to all my family and friends.

Vivint's door-to-door salesman was very pushy and a little over the top. So I didn't buy the system because of him, I bought it because of the technology itself. But the installer was good. He told us everything that we had to know and set it all up for us. But it was a little late in the day, which was surprising. It went until like 10:00 PM. But they did push a lot apparently to finish during the same day, which doesn't seem fair.
I'm not sure if it was the installer's fault or the house in general, but just the way that the hardware itself is installed is a brute force. You have to take out the socket plate loop through the wall and then plug it back into the socket, which is doesn't seemed right. I initially thought all of the plugs would be hidden and wouldn't have to be plugged into the wall at all, and that it would just loop into the current electrical system in the house. But it has to be plugged into an outlet.
We live in a neighborhood where a security system isn't necessarily needed. But we knew a Vivint system would add value to the house. It was a smart system so we're gonna link other smart devices to it but this kinda helped out because we already had one of the Alexa things. We did the doorbell, three door sensors and one of the fire sensors and the alarm -- the whole main thing. We tried to do the garage door opener but the current garage door opener we have didn't work with the system so we had to refund that. But so far the features I selected were good.

I like Vivint's video camera and the doorbell. So far, I'm very satisfied with my experience with them. The equipment was quick to install and their customer support has been fantastic. I've had a couple issues, but nothing major, and they can usually walk me through whatever issue I'm having. The reps are always very pleasant and nice to deal with.
I have recommended Vivint and have told people how much I love the system. I usually show them the camera and most people like it, too. I have a friend who had Vivint Solar and when she saw my doorbell and video camera, she waited until her time came and got the same things. Then, when I was at a retreat and the girl who got the camera after me wanted to check on her cat though the camera, she looked at her phone, saw her front door, and said, "Oh, my God! They just delivered a package. They weren't supposed to deliver a package today." So she was able to go home and get that off from her front door so that it wouldn't sit there for the weekend. And that was good.

We've got the automatic locks, the camera, and the smoke detector included in our service package with Vivint. Sometimes, though, the equipment wasn't working as it should have, but it was still an alarm system and our overall experience with Vivint has been pretty good. Generally, it was good dealing with the sales team. The installers were fine and they knew exactly where to put everything, and they helped us out a lot. But we're not too happy with Vivint right now. Our camera hasn’t worked for a while but every time we phoned them, we had to wait two hours before we could get through. We'd like to have our camera working but the wait time was horrible in getting help for technical problems. We also had a big problem with the prices and we were gonna cancel our service with them at one point after talking with one of the customer service reps over the phone, but we got to talk to the right person and that problem was straightened out.

I travel for work and I like to see my home while I'm gone. But the cameras from Vivint were always offline and I couldn’t fix them unless I was home. When I got home and reboot my whole system, it still wasn’t working and I was told by Vivint that they do not have any technicians available and it would be a week before they could get somebody. But if I need a day at home, I have to take the whole week off from work. I’m paying for the system and I already haven’t been able to monitor my house for a week, but they’re not deducting two weeks off. Thankfully, a Vivint Technician, Martin, lives right down the street. I called him instead and he came up the next day and fixed it. Also, my doorbell still doesn’t work. The door alarm fell off and Vivint said that they would charge a service fee to come back out. It is literally butted up against my bolt lock, so when the battery dies, it’s probably a 45-minute ordeal to get it off.

Overall, I like the Vivint SmartHome System. I like that I can talk to and see people through the doorbell and indoor cameras. I love the app. It's easy to use and convenient, and gives all the abilities of the Sky panel.

Our salesperson was very nice. Our installer seemed to do a pretty good job. However, two days after initial install we had no video clips and no doorbell sound inside the house. Another technician came and worked on the doorbell. Another two days goes by and again no working doorbell in our house. I texted our salesperson to see if he could get action done on this. Now it's been 2 days and no word from your company. Not very good advertisement for Vivint when I have a taped sign by the doorbell saying it doesn't work. If we don't get this issue resolved soon, we'll be ready to cancel Vivint!

When the system works it is great. When you have a problem, you are on your own. I had a lock fail 10 days ago. I have been on the phone 5 times getting the same answer every time. "It is approved for shipping." It has yet to ship but they are demanding the old one back or they will charge me for it.
