    This company was referred to me by numerous nurses I work with so I figured let’s give it a shot. For a first time homeowner it seemed too good to be true. It was. Poor service and even worse equipment, I had it installed on a Sunday, by Tuesday I was already having issues with the video camera and ring not working. Three different techs came out to troubleshoot all of which said the equipment was fine yet as soon as they would leave it still did not detect motion nor did it record activity. I placed numerous calls all of which did not solve my issue.

    When I went to cancel I was met with numerous people telling me I had to pay off all equipment in full, even though I had their service for less than a week and their service didn't work. Why would I pay for something that didn’t work. I explained I had received a message stating I could try this service out for 14 days with no issues. I sent this message to them three different times and was told it would be uploaded to my account so I wouldn’t be charged, each time I called it was not. The tech came and picked up all equipment the following Sunday. I was told my refund would be processed 3-5 business days, nothing was received. I then had to call yet another time, and nothing was notated on my account to process a refund. Shoddy service, shoddy equipment, and no communication within the company when it comes to handling customers. I will not recommend this service to any of my colleagues or patients. Will be calling ADT today.

    Hello. I am living in a rental that had your system installed but the owner was not paying monthly. I called to order a new package and explained the situation instead of making me a new owner for subscription. I did not get new equipment. I asked for the doorbell camera and got nothing. I even called to complain and they never called me back. My husband even ordered a new camera because the camera here does not work and I am still waiting for it when I have paid the monthly fee already. I am not pleased how they all this situation and not happy at all. Can you please figure out why I was not treated like a new owner? Thank you.

    I purchased the home security service in April of 2017. By July 2017, there were pieces of the door and window sensors that would fall off and cause an alert. We called Vivint and there was not much that they did for us. By August we were fed up with the system and turned it off. I tried to cancel the service after a year of non-use and Vivint is requiring us to pay off the faulty equipment before they would discuss cancellation fees. They would not accept the equipment back, so now we are stuck with expensive garbage sticking to our doors, windows and wall. Buyer beware of this company.

    We ended up buying a Vivint security system after Daniel showed up at our door. My wife and I had talked about purchasing a security system off and on since we had our little one. We weren't really in a position to add another monthly payment, but the deal was once we couldn't refuse. The payment was comparable to competitors, but the product is soo much better. With the use is the z-wave technology, the speedy automated response system (similar to OnStar), and the emergency response function makes us feel safe in our house. Not to mention the extras you can get to make your house that much smarter. We have got a lot of utilization out of our NEST thermostat. All in all, our whole experience was quite pleasant and we would definitely recommend Vivint for anyone looking to make their home a safe place.

    It took them a long time to convince me, only because I am a law enforcement officer and I see it all, heard of it all. I was skeptical at first. But with 4 school age boys and a wife at home, I needed something at my home that would make me secure while I was securing the lives of others.     Several calls made since installation with issues of Application not working, cameras not connecting, panels being offline and unsightly installation. We now have a new beautiful house in a highly desired location, with large chunks of caulking and wires running down the middle of our walls, monthly bills for equipment and monitoring of a security system we cannot count on. All of which was intended to provide a bit of comfort for a family and Retired Veteran that suffers with PTSD. Not only and In addition to the struggle of dealing with the residual effects of a spouse with PTSD and an unreliable security system (that we pay for), for the last 22 days, my breaks during my work day are spent holding on the phone to reach one of the 3 separate representatives I have been "working with", responding to or reaching out via email for some sort of resolution. If anything to assist Husband with a comfort level of reliable monitoring.

    A friend of mine worked for ACN and she offered Vivint through them. It was a good onboarding deal and she had experience with them so I decided to go with them as well. Whoever came and helped us install the system, especially this last time when we moved was phenomenal. They had a previous security system in our house and all the old sensors were still on. He literally went through and hand wired everything to work. It was awesome how he went above and beyond. We used to set the system off all the time at our old house and their team was getting used to it. They would call, we would do our password and they would check on us if everything was okay. Cost-wise, it’s good and accurate. The package that I have is great and it's super easy to figure out. I love that I can access it from my phone and my kids are able to use them too.

    The initial install was a bad thermostat. The online help desk had me check the wrong wires I had to call an HVAC tech in to verify. Then they were going to leave me without AC for 4 days until they could get a tech out. If it was not for the original tech calling as a follow up, I think it was Lance **, I would have had the system removed.

The reps were very good and when we've had problems, they were willing to come out or they told us how to fix them. They were really nice and helpful. We got a new keypad, and it was all done very quickly and professionally. We also added the remote access through the phone. We had some problems with keypads communicating with the main keypad and they were able to help us with that. They had to come out and they fixed it. I'm very satisfied with the service right now and I would recommend Vivint. They are very efficient and they will walk you through the steps to operate the system.     I purchased a system over a month ago and still do not know how to use my system. The sales rep over the phone promised me the installer would train me. However, after several visits from the technician (who was very slow and fell through my ceiling during the installation) he did not have enough time to train me on the equipment once he finished late that night. He promised he would come back and do it but I’ve texted him several times and called him with no reply. I called Vivint this week to ask for someone to please come out and train me and they said they didn’t do that. The customer service rep said there would be a charge if they did come out. I explained that I was promised a personal training session, so I could ask questions and understand the system. I explained my situation to her too and it was clear she certainly did not care.

    Please know, I’m in a very serious situation with an ex spouse who will be getting out of jail in 50 days due to many domestic violence charges against him. I finally found the courage to finally divorce him, move into a new home and I purchased this system because it was highly recommended to me. I do not do well training over the phone (I get confused) and I need someone to personally show me how to work it and to train my 12 year old daughter. It’s sad that your promised excellent customer service when you’re sold on a product and then it’s not provided. I’m very disappointed and upset and worried I’m not gonna know how to work the system come 50 days from now.

    To be honest, I have been a bit disappointed. I had one issue immediately after installation with a wifi connection. Then two others followed thereafter. I called in last week and the gentleman was very cordial but in all honesty he seemed a little inexperienced. The phone call was an hour and a half long. Finally got two of the three issues resolved but you are still having to send someone out on something that should have been taken care of at inception. Also the earliest appointment is a month out? That is unnerving in itself that you may be that understaffed to handle issues. My salesman Jordan has been very good and has tried to help but at this point I'm wondering if I made a mistake switching my home and office from ADT.

    We loved the system once it was installed but after the installation when we had questions customer service was very poor. They transfer you from person to person and at one point I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The equipment is priced ridiculously high for the same equipment you can get from other monitoring companies for a fraction of what Vivint is charging. We were told that we would get a 14 day trial and only after we agreed to keep the service we would get charged, we were charged the day after installation. We were also told that if we didn't want to keep the service after the 14 day trial that Vivint would put our system back up, that didn't happen.

    When we decided not to keep the service Vivint sent a tech to remove all of their equipment but refused to put our system back up. The two Google mini's that were given to us and told that they were ours to keep even if we didn't decide to keep the service was taken back when the equipment was uninstalled. Now there are holes in our walls inside and on the front and back of the house where the cameras were removed. We are very dissatisfied and Vivint did NOTHING to make us feel like valued customers. We now have to pay our alarm company to $100.00 to put our original system back up. Everything that was told to or promised to us to get Vivint's service installed was completely false.

    I’ve been happy with most of the Vivint system. After getting it all set up and even in the week leading up to getting the finishing things installed I’ve been having problems with my thermostat saying there’s no power but turning back on around 3:00pm everyday and not working up till then. When a tech was in he looked at it and said he fixed it then two days later it stopped again. I called the support line on the wall panel and I was told I’d have to higher a company to come and check the wiring even though I have no problems with my old thermostat or turning my furnace on with it’s manual switch. I’m currently waiting to get a call from a tech to try and remedy the problem. Everything else works great besides the thermostat and we love the system. Just hoping they can fix the thermostat so we can trust that it won’t get to hot or cold in the home when no one's there.

    I like the features of my Vivint system. I have the doorbell camera, alarm system and AC unit that you could connect to remotely from your cell phone. I would have wanted a recording machine but I didn’t realize that they had that until after I got my system. Their sales rep was pleasant and knowledgeable but they should offer more of the equipment that they have. One of the things that I also don’t necessarily like is that it doesn’t always pick up when there’s movement. I’ve noticed that. I’ve walked by the camera and then I try to go back to see what time it was that I woke up, and it doesn’t even show that I was up. There’s like a three to four second delay on the doorbell when it rings.

    But when it came to the installation, the guy that came by was pretty open to my needs. He wasn’t resistant. Originally, we had a different technician come and we cancelled that one and waited for another technician and the second technician was more open to what we wanted and our needs. One of the things that should be said, however, is regarding the internet connection. After doing some research I learned that you’re able to get a different internet connection from your internet provider that could get hooked up directly to the monitor system, to the alarm system, which makes the whole cameras’ recording and detection run smoother. It sounds like I’m paying to have an extra connection exclusively for the alarm system but overall that works better than being irritated as to why there’s a delay or it’s not recording. I would recommend Vivint.

    My family has had Vivint for a little over 2 yrs (however long the contract was for). Several weeks before the contract is due to expire I search my email to see if they sent a renewal or something saying the contract is coming ending. None. My husband spoke with them on chat and they failed to tell us that we needed to have a written statement or email 30 days before our contract ended sent to them. So now I'm paying for a service that I don't want and they still have not sent me a notice saying my service is canceled.

    I’ve been very happy with Vivint. I love my door locks which take the alarm off when you punch the code in. However, I haven’t had much luck with Vivint for the last five months and I’m getting a little disgruntled. I’ve been having issues with my sensors and alarms. Vivint has sent out techs three times yet we’re still having the same issues. So, I called the other day, and the guy said, “I’ll send a you a new sensor and you can replace it.” And I said, “That means I have to climb a ladder. I don’t even know how to replace a basement window sensor.” Then he said he was just trying to save us money. We pay for the premium service because of our age and we can’t be climbing ladders at 73 years old. The rep finally agreed to send out a technician who is coming next week.

    There are a few issues that I’ve brought up and they don’t seem to be able to get it working. Even our daughter who started using Vivint has been having issues. And then when I phone, Vivint doesn’t want to send a technician out. I understand that it’s hard to keep technicians working, and so trying to get an appointment is very lengthy. But each time a tech has come out, I’ve been very pleased with their professionalism. They’re courteous and know what they’re doing.

    I was told by a Vivint person when I phoned last July that perhaps our monitor is aged out for some of the newer technology so it’s not interpreting or acknowledging some of our sensors. When I mentioned that to Vivint when I phoned later, they just brushed it off. A couple of years ago, I paid for the door locks that will disconnect your alarm upon entry. Our cleaning lady has her own code and she has been using it for over a year, and when she used it a few weeks ago, she set the alarm off. I had to give her our personal code which seemed to work. But every time I say to Vivint we need a new monitor, they don’t want to comply. We travel a lot and we’re out on an acreage so we need to have the security. It makes me a panicky when I’m away and I get the phone calls. The app shows my cleaning lady coming in but it doesn’t show her leaving and relocking the door. It shows the front door is unlocked when it turns out that it is locked.

    I was very, very wary of selecting Vivint based on the customer service reviews. Granted, most security companies have bad ratings and people rarely take time to post good ratings. However, in the end, I love the Vivint product line... so I took a chance and called today. I spoke to a customer service rep named Savon, who said he was a manager also. It was a great call and we talked through completely our needs and set up a package for us. I inquired about the report of getting charged for each service visit. Savon assured me that practice no longer happens. I was super impressed by my first interaction. I was very upfront that the major reason I was debating using Vivint was ALL the complaints about customer service. I hope the good start continues through installation and support.

    For now, they impressed me. Maybe I am lucky. Maybe they are changing their ways. Maybe it is because I am a new customer. Savon gave me his email and cell and said to call if I have ANY problems. I will use that ace if I need to. I am sorry some others are having awful experiences, but their products and technology are first-rate. I know there are a ton of bad reviews, but I took a chance today and was pleasantly surprised by their customer service. On day one, I am very happy customer--Savon did an excellent job taking care this new customer.

    Our system quit working less than 24hrs after installation. Spent 2hrs on the phone with technician trying to get it to work, but couldn't get it working. They said a tech would be to our house in 2 days to fix it. Waited on said day for tech to come, but he was a no show and no call. Called to find out what had happened and was told that he had cancelled my appointment. Nice. No one can come until next week. I said that was unacceptable so they offered me 2 months free, so I said fine. Take day off of work to wait on technician the following week. Again no call, no show.

    Call customer service to see what happened, they say that no service call was ever scheduled, but they could get someone out there next week. Now mind you, my doorbell did not work, my cameras did not work, my air conditioning did not work, and my garage door thing had never been installed. And it was hot out. I told them that they were pretty incompetent and I cancelled my service immediately. They then told me that someone would be out in 2 weeks to come get the equipment. It's hot out, and my air conditioner still does not work.

    We were fairly new in the house since we built it three years ago. We have been looking at security systems and got a knock on the door from Vivint. The interaction with the rep was very good and all have been friendly. We had a couple of false alarms that were set off by our little 12-pound dog and they called us. Sometimes, when he jumps off the couch, he would set it off. I called to see if there was a way I could set it so that he wouldn’t trigger it, and they were very helpful to get me to change the setting.

    I had no problems at all with the installation and the technician was very efficient. We wanted to add cameras and the technician said that there were only two days of doing it. It would either be running the wire over the outside of the house, which our HOA would not allow, or punching through the wall and running down the inside. We said no and our attic wasn’t a possibility so we did not go through with it. He was very good to return our cameras. We have the security, carbon monoxide and sound features but I wish Vivint had wireless cameras. The cost of the system is a little bit more than what I would like but it is what it is. Since having Vivint, I have peace of mind knowing that we are protected. Knowing that the alarm is set, you don’t have to worry about leaving the house or being in the house at night.

    When I initially got my Vivint and everything worked correctly, I loved it. I can see who it is when people come up to my door when I'm not home and I can talk to them on the doorbell. However, I've been having trouble with my equipment for some time. Some of them are not working correctly. The cameras are off and on. Initially, it was 100%, but now, it's around 50%. The customer service has been great. However, a lot of times, they'd try to work the issues over the phone with me and I'd have to spend time out of my day to try to fix their problem. I don't like that because sometimes, it takes one or two hours and I don't have one or two hours to be sitting around trying to fix my service.

    The technicians have been great. Every single one has been very knowledgeable. They just can't get it fixed correctly although the equipment worked until they leave. The online people that I have talked to on the phone have also been great. They've been patient because sometimes I get a little irritated with the equipment. Vivint wanted me to sign again but I said, "Why would I sign up for you right now if I can't get my equipment to work? It's ridiculous. Just get my stuff working correctly so I'm at a 100% and then we'll talk about it." And that's where we are at right now.

    Not real happy. The system doesn't seem to work well. Wouldn't stay programmed the way it was set up. Had to wait for the right door knob. Installer left holes in walls. Installer didn't show up when supposed to. Installer didn't come back when he was supposed to. At least the back up installer showed up on time, and installed the right door knob, patched holes and got the program to hold the right temps at the right time. Not off to a good start.

    A good Vivint sales rep stopped at my house and I was happy with him. He was nice and respectful from the get-go. He stuck with me from day one and he kept following up with me. He made sure that the technician was coming out and that all of my services were answered. He did a very good job from the very beginning. I was happy too with what he sold me. When the technician installed everything, the AC went out initially. I ended up calling an AC repair guy and he replaced a part on the run cap and told me that the technician had some wires backward. He had the hot and cold spot backward because it was blowing hot air. The AC technician made sure I have cool air before he left.

    Since then, things were not right with my thermostat and my electricity bill has been high given that it was partly because of the summer hot months. The installation was never completed and after a full two months, I was done with the system and I wanted to get rid of it. When I showed the Vivint rep that my bill was high and I was still having AC problems, they took my word that there was something wrong and even the panel itself froze several times, and they finally uninstalled it and took care of it.

    We got somebody from Vivint knocking at our door at some point in time. They were selling the services door-to-door and my wife liked what they were offering so we bought it. We kept the services for as long as we had the house. The system had good features and I also managed everything from my phone. Their reps were also very knowledgeable. Whenever we had a technical problem, it was just a matter of a phone call to resolve it. Also whenever there was a false alarm we immediately got the call from these people, inquiring whether it was for real or not. They did their job very well. However, Vivint is more expensive than others and I discovered that after I had already signed a contract with them. Otherwise, I would probably have gone with somebody else cheaper because the services are practically the same. But with Vivint it was always excellent. They have good service.

    We’ve been considering to get a security system and Vivint’s timing was just right. There had been some break-ins out where we live and we decided to go with them. Their reps were very professional and they gave all the information we needed. Then their installers were very good and they explained to us how to use the system. The features in their service package are good. We have the camera on the front door doorbell, a camera that goes to the back of our house and a glass-break system. We can activate it anywhere we go, which I like a lot because sometimes, one of my kids will leave and not set the alarm. We also accidentally set it off when we were out of town and our backdoor happened to blow open, and they were very professional about keeping us informed about what was going on. I just wish they were cheaper. Other than that, I’m satisfied with Vivint and I’ll tell people the reason why we’re happy with our system.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I AM SURPRISED THERE HAS NOT BEEN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT YET. I never signed a contract. They came up with one out of thin air. Funny how they falsely came up with a signature that isn't even close to mine. None of the equipment works. Terrible customer service. They don't care about helping you at all. You can never get anywhere speaking to their customer service department. It's pass the buck. I recorded a live call today, 55 minutes of the same runaround.

    **Their own employee, Service Tech, told me that their software does not work properly with their equipment, and this is why so many people (Nationally) have issue with their product. He also told me that they (Vivint) teach them to just do quick fixes to solve problems. I myself, have had well over 10 service calls to my home. Such a joke. I submitted my info to my attorney and they are researching things as we speak.

    I have had Vivint service for a year, I have had to have techs out to my house and have spent countless hours with techs on the phone. Vivint’s equipment is horrible. It still doesn’t work. The sales guy that sold us this junk told us we just had to pay Vivint. So we paid Vivint on time every time. The sales guy forgot to mention to me that I had to pay a separate company for the equipment that never works...I just got a letter in the mail I was sent to collections by Citizens Bank. I never received a single paper statement from them. They don’t do paper, they were emailing statements to the wrong email. So 11 years of never being late on any bill and Vivint destroyed my perfect record. Got to say I really wish I would have never opened that door. If this company knocks on your door you better slam it quick!!!

    I like Vivint's equipment. The value is great. But with the cameras, I have an issue with the installation of the wireless receivers. They have to be specific to my router and to my location. So if my router isn't in a convenient spot for the receiver then the signal gets lost and we have to relocate my router or add equipment to make sure that the wireless signal would work. That’s something that should have been told before they came out and installed equipment.

    The panel itself is also not really intuitive. If you're not technical, it can be lost. The touchscreen is either off or it's in the alarm mode. It would be really nice if it had a standby screen or a home screen that would give you basic information. When it comes my wife and everybody, even a simple clock would be convenient. But the biggest issue I have is the fact that my main unit freezes and I have to reboot it. It happens almost like clockwork once a month. If there was an emergency and it was frozen, my wife or anybody wouldn't be able to use it. And that's the main reason I got it for, because I travel a lot. Also, my wife doesn't know how to reboot the main unit. Thankfully, I can reboot it remotely. But there are no notifications telling me that it's frozen.

    Someone from Vivint was walking in the neighborhood once though, and she knew my name. So she asked about the system and I discussed my concerns. That was the best customer service I had. However, they heard my concerns but I've not received any information on how it can be fixed or updated. But when the system works, it's fine. That includes the remote sensors, the garage door and the cameras. My being in the industry also helped them because I know what to do and what to expect. On the other hand, my commercial clients would be very dissatisfied with these types of things. Still, I like the monitoring and the notifications. That is the one thing that doesn’t make me warm and fuzzy.

    The features in our Vivint system were not fully used. Vivint kept having problems with the cameras cutting off. It was mainly the cameras that we got it for, for my husband's mother and his brother. Both have passed away so we are not gonna keep it any longer. We're gonna rent the house out and I'm not paying $69 for that. I was a bit disturbed that when we tried to cancel it in July, they kept putting it off. All of a sudden, if we want to keep it, we can lower it to $39. Why can they lower it to $39 just to keep you when you were paying $69? It's all a big gimmick. My husband talked to them the other day and now, we're still being billed for September. I just can't get it canceled.

    Pretty much most of our new neighborhood used Jordan ** and he was very nice at first. We finished late afternoon with paperwork and he said his tech would be right over. Well, my husband gets up at 4am and when the text showed up many hours later. I said it's not happening that night. Jordan said we had to install that night or I would forfeit the installment fee he had comped us. I informed him his tech's working hours are not acceptable and not fair of a company to do that. I since read fine print and installation hours are to be 8am to 6pm. I am not certain anybody actually had installation during this time.

    One week to the date we had error messages, Windows opened, Front Door Sensor Battery Low, not working. It got taken care of, however last two weeks there are gaps with no recording whatsoever... as much as two hours at a time. I will need to call again. First time tech was here, he rushed us through the information we needed and a key component was not relayed the first time. All in all, had we have to do over, we wouldn't. We can get much better service for a cheaper price elsewhere. Additionally, almost every window had been unlocked and not resecured at installation. Mess, wasn't cleaned up well, sawdust just sweat to front entry outside the entry. They have a lot to learn still.

We surveyed the property and pre-arranged the locations for the cameras based on their excellent 110° VIEW. UPON INSTALLATION WE SAW THAT THEIR COVERAGE APPEARS TO BE CLOSER TO 45°!     Our next-door neighbor who is an employee of Vivint recommended the home alarm system to us. Then, we bought it from the local Best Buy and a Vivint rep came and set it up. Our interaction with their reps went great. They knew everything about it and since I am technically inclined, I was able to relate to all that he was explaining and everything he did work out well. Their installation team was very professional and very friendly.

    I like the wireless system of the Vivint package that was re-hard wired or networked and it has been working out great for us. I like the remote control that we can set and unset the alarm, lock and unlock the door and talk to people from wherever we are with our electronic devices. I also love the cameras although I had to reset the panel on the wall occasionally because it will lose contact with one of the cameras. So far, Vivint is working flawlessly and it is very easy to figure out. I know how to set up a new code for a relative that might be visiting so they can let themselves in and out of the house.

    The salesman from Vivint was exuberant. He didn’t try to force me into anything but he was very aggressive. He was also knowledgeable. The monitoring feature was the biggest service I included in my package. The installation was prompt and once they got here, it didn’t take them long. My wife and I were gone in the winter so it was kind of nice to have a little bit of security. However, my biggest problem was when we do go south in the winter. If I want to monitor it myself, I need to have an internet connection and I would have to pay for that here while I’m gone, which wasn’t a nice feature and I don’t know what the alternative would be.

    My biggest complaint is I had a problem with the battery in the panel. It said it wouldn’t charge. I kind of ignored it for a while and it would kind of come and go. So I finally called them about it and they said they would get a tech out to look at it. They said the battery was under warranty but they would charge me a service call that would be $99. But because it was still new they would make it $35 instead. Then it took them a month or so to get somebody out here.

    The closest tech they had is out of Thompson, which seems kind of strange being a small town. He seemed very knowledgeable. But when he checked the panel he said it wasn’t the battery. It was a software problem. He told me that he would replace batteries and check all my sensors while he was here, which he didn’t do. He said he checked them through the panel and they were all working fine.

    Also one of the features had changed. When somebody came to the door, it would record it and save it for a period of time. After a certain length of time it’s deleted, unless you promptly save it. I thought that was a nice feature if somebody stole a package on your front door or something like that and now, it had changed to where it didn’t record unless I ring the doorbell. But if it was live, you can watch it live. I asked the tech about that and he said they were having a problem with the sensitivity of the camera, which is adjustable. I had adjusted it to where I wasn’t having that much trouble. A little bit, once in a while, from either too sensitive and too light of a field, and it will pick up the wind blowing, whistles and things like that and see it as somebody approaching.

    He adjusted that from the panel and then later on he said just to fix the battery or just to reboot the panel, which is not a big deal but it’s not supposed to be the way it works. Also it turned out that they billed me both the $99 and the $35. By this time I thought they really shouldn’t bill me at all because it wasn’t my problem. It was their bad but I haven’t called them about that. Every time I called them about something, they seem to be very responsive, friendly and cooperative so I expect that to be resolved without any problem. Other than that, the price of monitoring is high compared to others. I haven’t called them yet on that billing but I'm expecting that to be resolved because if it isn’t resolved, it’s gonna be a real sore spot.

    I moved into a new house and wanted to get a security system. A friend told me about Vivint and they had good feedback. Their reps helped me pick out a plan and I got the smart door lock and a sky view wall mount where I could control everything. I have door and window sensors, motion sensors and a remote garage opener too. I have a billing issue though which I still need to resolve. They're charging me for something that shouldn’t be charged. I have installments of some of the features that they prorated and I have to tell them to look into that charge because it's a faulty charge. It's not a big charge and it's just something that shouldn’t be there. But their customer service has been good and I haven't had anything major come up.

    Also, the system is a little pricey now that I know what I could get from the competition. I have compared it to a DIY type of security system like SimpliSafe or even just putting in some of those features on my own and I could have saved a lot of money. When it comes to the add-on features like the smart lock, thermostat and indoor camera, just do-it-yourself and buy them individually. But if you're looking for good customer service and a one-stop shop and you need a security system that's trustworthy, the Vivint system works.     It’s a little difficult to write since there was so much mix up. In the end I got what I was originally promise but there was so much back and forth that I don’t think I would recommend to anyone. The technician was clearly frustrated with the situation and treated me as such. I got three door sensors and the mess from drilling the holes was all over, he did sweep a little of it but left most. Ultimately I was given some credits on my account from the trouble which I appreciated but doesn’t change the bad experience I had. I am honestly disappointed because I had heard so many good things about Vivint which is why I chose to go with you all. So it’s hard to review because the experience was bad but you all ultimately fulfilled my home security needs. The people over the phone were very helpful and apologized for the trouble.

    I got the basic security system from Vivint without cameras and just the motion sensors, door and window sensors. The rep offered the camera system but I already had a camera system installed so I didn’t need that. The installation team did a good job. I’ve just been having trouble out of one sensor I had to put back up myself. But so far, that’s about it. Also probably every two to three months, I have to reboot the system because it’ll freeze up. But it’s a decent system and they provide good service.

    Vivint sent me a paper in the mail and I was looking at all the equipment that they have and how it works. It looked like a good quality, so I made the phone call to them, and everything has been fine ever since. I purchased the doorbell with the cam on it and two cameras on the back. The sales reps were awesome. They didn't hesitate in the way they asked some questions and they gave me the correct answers. The equipment worked the way they said it and that if anything went wrong, I can call them and there would be no wait time before someone assists me. It won’t take too many days before they come out, and they were correct about everything. They come out and they take care of us. The first time they came out and did the installation, we had them put the monitor in the wrong place and it started acting up, so they came out and replaced it over on the other side.

    Everything has been working good with the equipment ever since. Also, if the wind blows, the doorbell picks up everything and comes to our phone, but that's okay and that’s a good part about it. The system is awesome and it's working well. If anything goes wrong, we would call them and they’d be there. And if we make a mistake and turn the alarm on, if it did it on its own and we go outside, they immediately call. If we don’t hurry up and deactivate it, they call. I have recommended Vivint to several people already. I was showing them on my phone how we can be away from home and we can see who's at our home. I was also showing them that if I set the alarm, I could set it away from home. I show them all the basics on my phone and everyone loves it.

    The process was fast and was an upgrade from ADT. Cheaper too. My previous system was giving false messages. Found the old system would arm but wouldn't activate an alarm. I don't know how long it had been saying my system was armed but really wasn't working at. I could open any door with it armed and no alarm. ADT should have been on top of this and notify me but never was. Adt likes to raise the cost yearly, but not the case with Vivint. So far we really like the system. The agent was very knowledgeable and the installation was very fast and neat.

    I liked the tones of the security system with the cameras and stuff from Vivint. Their sales representative was very nice and seemed to be enjoying what he was doing. The installation process went very well, too. The fellow who came out was quick and he did the job quite good. So far, the system does what it needs to do but due to the cost, I couldn’t get some of the things that I wanted. Also, my front door happens to be metal and the trigger in the side of the door keeps getting stuck by the metal door. It has a magnet on it and when it pops out, it says that I can’t arm my alarm. Other than that, Vivint has a good system and it can be made really impressive if you can get the additional cameras.

    The sales representative from Vivint was very friendly, he talked about the services, the benefits, the features of the system, and then the overall cost associated with the plan through Vivint. So overall, it was a really good experience. The installation team was really good. I had no issues with them and they were on time. My system's features are good, too. However, I don't like that if one of my sensors goes out, then I have to purchase another sensor at $90 a pop. So if I'm spending that much, and I'm spending $55 a month, I feel like those sensors should be warrantied as long as I'm under contract.

    Now, if I'm not under contract and the sensors go out, I understand I should pay for it. But those sensors aren't cheap. I had a guy out not too long ago because I re-signed the contract. He replaced several sensors. Within a month, three other sensors went out, and so, I'm on the hook for those, and I'm still under contract for three more years. They're a glass break and a motion sensor. They're not the normal door sensors, so those are even way more expensive than that little door sensor, which is crazy. Other than that, I like that when you sign the contract, the price that you pay stays for that lifetime of the contract, which is really good. Other companies I had, like Brinks at one time, I was getting a price increase every year, which drove me nuts.

    Vivint's salesperson was pleasant. However, the installer was a bit rushed and underwhelming. The things that he didn’t do were more noticeable than the things he did. He put the panel in with a noticeable slant to it. He also left the old hardwired motion detectors. There were issues that were repetitive. The first five years with Vivint were kind of sketchy, and there were problems with the cameras and the Wi-Fi. Mostly, the cameras were not working or needed to be reset or, in some cases, had to be replaced. But once the techs came in and did the upgrade with the new panel and changed out the cameras, everything seemed to line out and has been smooth sailing since.

    At time of install I had an infrared camera for my garage on my contract, it was on back order for a year then when it came available they wanted to charge me $300, I said no. After my contract was up I called to cancel and they promised to lower my bill by $25 a month and install 2 infrared cameras, when they came to do the install they said I needed an updated control panel for $500, again no. Please just cancel my contract and I got the run around for 1/2 hour on the phone... Customer service sucks!!!

They had to redo some of the sensors and it went well. They explained everything.     I chatted with 2 tech supporters Sunday night (9-2-2018) about the panel not responding. Talked to one who couldn’t help and then was transferred me to someone else who had me do a series of tasks to try to get everything up and running again. To no avail. So I scheduled for a technician to come out on Thursday (9-6-2018) between 12p-4p. No one showed up. When I called customer service I was told I was scheduled for Monday (9-10-2018) between 4p-8p. Mind you I was sent an email about the date for 9-6-2018. I asked, "Was someone still going to come for the scheduled appointment." No one was available. I asked, "What about the next day." The reply was no. I was supposed to just take the date the tech put in.

    Now mind you this problem happened Sunday and I have to wait a whole week to get some assistance, but when the panel was being installed on the weekend there was no problem for 2 technicians to come and get everything set up. I have a big problem with this. And once I talk to the sales rep guy that came around on the weekend asking me if I would like to join Vivint’s service and I don’t get any satisfaction. I will be cancelling this service and going back to ADT where I’ve never had a problem for the last 3 years of doing business with them. I’ve only had this service for a little over two weeks. I was also promised 2 Google Home speakers and I still haven’t received those yet. My service was installed 8-18-2018.

    Our doorbell camera was offline every other week, had technicians come out but they never really fixed the actual problem, just provided "Band-Aid" solutions. When we moved out of our house and my husband and I had to move into new apartments in separate states due to the military and work, they wouldn't even attempt to work with us to cancel our service. We had to call several times to even get an initial contact for the "special cancellations" team. After several emails back and forth they told us we were stuck in our contract and had to either pay the rest of the contract (over $2600) or continue the service which was in our house we had already sold...so now we have to coordinate with the new owners to have Vivint pick up the equipment as they don't want Vivint. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE unless you want to be locked into a 5 year contract that you literally CANNOT cancel.

    We have Vivint's motion detector inside our home in case somebody breaks in. We also have the thing that when somebody rings the doorbell and comes up to the door, we can see who it is, and it is connected to my cell phone. But when we first got Vivint, I was very dissatisfied and we were ready to have them come and pull everything out. We've had problems the first two months we've had the system. Our security thing dinged like somebody was at the door but nobody was there and the tech had to replace our doorbell five times. Finally, the doorbell is working properly and I'm happy. Our sales rep, Nathan, also said that we should get two months’ credit because we had no service for two full months. So, now that we can just get our credit and find out why it just keeps dinging, I would recommend Vivint to my neighbors.

    I heard about Vivint offhand on the internet while browsing around. Then, a rep came to my door, which sealed the deal. He took me by surprise, but the more I listened to him, the more I liked the idea of having a smart home. He pitched it in a manner that was attractive. Smart home sounds fancier too and I like to brag about that. The installers were very nice and professional. They took care of my house and didn't damage anything. Plus, they were done within four hours after the sales individual was here. It happened really quickly.

    I'm very satisfied with the features and I like the package that I got. I could've opted for more sensors though and I might add them in the future, but I think what I have now is attractive. I have the video doorbell, the smart thermostat, the front and back door sensors, and a smart lock on our front door. I really like the design of the home panel. It's the sensor for the system and it has the screen on there. I like how it tells the weather and how I can change the chimes, the sounds when the doors open and close and the alerts. I also like that I can change the names on the different sensors. I renamed the motion sensor 'The Eye of Sauron' so any time somebody steps within the path, it says, "The Eye of Sauron is active." It's funny.

    I like how the smart thermostat raises the temperature when I leave, and then it brings it back down when I come home. I have it set to 72 when I'm here during the day, and then 68 when I'm here at night. It keeps the house nice and cool. However, for some reason, it jumps up from 68 to 72 at 5 am and by the time I wake up, I'm sweating already. I have to wake up and turn the temperature back down, which is a pain in the ass. I'd like for it to stay 68 for a bit longer. It's supposed to be able to predict your usage and adjust it to what you like. Maybe the smart thermostat could be a little bit smarter.

    Since the box can already make noise and port the audio from outside the door inside, making it able to play normal music would be cool. Also, if there was a software update where I could download my own chimes or access them from an online database, that would be cool too. There are 16 choices and some of them were cool and some were dull. It'd be nice to get a few more options. Vivint's package is very well-designed. Plus, I haven't had any buyer's remorse with it, which is rare. I'm pleased with it.

The explanation and the service were good. The security equipment that I have is good when it works, but it doesn't work for the most part and I lose service a lot. The techs went back and did something, but the security system is still not working properly and I'm still having trouble, so I'm gonna have to call them back.     I had ADT for several years and the alarm had gone off several times but never once did they call. Vivint costs more than ADT does but I just wasn’t satisfied with ADT. I got Vivint alarms on all of my windows and doors and I have the glass break and smoke detectors as well. I also had a choice between a camera and that little thing that I can wear to detect if I fall and can’t get up, and they gave me the latter. The installation was really very quick. Since I already had ADT before, Vivint didn’t have much trouble installing their equipment. The Vivint reps have been really good too. Every time the alarm has gone off, they have called to make sure that everything was okay. When I've had questions, I called and they have always been able to answer my questions. I’m very satisfied with Vivint's service. I’m a happy customer.

    I’m happy with the features in my package. The installer did a great job and explained how to use the product. Something went wrong with the reception as the main channel kept disconnecting but Vivint was really good at sending someone out immediately to come and fix that. For the service alone, the price I'm paying is very reasonable for what I get. The only part I’m not happy about is the bank that’s financing the equipment. I have never received a statement from that bank as far as what my balance is. I call Vivint's customer service and each time, they try to connect me with the bank. And they come back online and say either the bank was closed so they can’t contact somebody, or they connect me over and then the line hangs up. The Vivint reps have a difficult time connecting to that bank, yet they never give me a direct line to the bank.

    I expressed to a couple of customer service agents that when I purchased the plan, I felt it was kinda deceptive that I wasn’t informed that a bank was going to be financing the equipment. It was more of a sales pitch and when I looked in my contract, I was paying for the equipment and not the installation. I was also never told how much I was paying for the equipment and I can’t just be paying money and not know if I paid this equipment off or not. But because I liked how the service was set up, I continued with it. However, I’m moving to Washington state in a couple of months and I’m not sure I wanna go back with Vivint for service. I was told that if I cancelled the service, I will still have to pay for all the equipment. Still, overall, regardless of the bank issue, Vivint is definitely much better than ADT which I had before.

    Everything was great for the first few days. Then the doorbell camera started acting up. It was sporadic with taking clips. After calling customer service, troubleshooting, having someone come out to check it, calling customer service again, it still isn't working properly. Someone is supposed to come by tomorrow to check. I was told I may have to get a smart drive, but I would have to pay for it out of pocket. So unfair! Not my fault the camera isn't working properly! Half my equipment doesn’t work and they talked me into upgrading it at my cost only to no show me twice without notice after I had taking time off work to make it happen. Both times are very unhelpful and unprofessional about resolving the no-show. They just try and reschedule it weeks laters rather than getting someone out immediately. I don’t know home a business that operates like that is still around. If I did that to my customers I would be long out of business...

    There are some random time slots when recording is not present and also the "Movement was detected" feature is not working as expected. It does not detect a person walking or moving around but detect other things like change from sunny to cloudy etc which is not helping.

    System is great. Installation easy and smooth and we added two additional outside cameras. Only problem is the lack of hands-on training on how to arm and disarm the system. Being Senior Citizens we would have appreciated leaving us a printed piece on how to use the system. According to the installation/sales guy you used to hand out something but stopped. Recommend you start handing out an easy to understand "How to Use" guide on operating the system.

    First things first we really weren’t looking to change our alarm company. Jordan showed up, Lori answered the door and we had the BEST experience from someone that was sincere. He put everything on the table to show us the benefits that we would be getting over what we had now. We were impressed! We ended up with more coverage (better) than what we had for the cost. The next day our installer showed up, sorry can’t remember his name, but was awesome!! He was very methodical on placement of a camera outside. I had to leave but went over everything with Lori. She was a little overwhelmed with all that was given her. He said not to worry that customer service would gladly help and yes we will need the help??? Thank you Vivint for all you do!!

    Vivint has an absolutely awesome product and you'll be well pleased. It's cost-effective. When I started, they told me what they covered, the products that they had, and then I chose. I was able to customize my package and I was very pleased and satisfied. It went very smooth. Then the installation team that came was very professional. Vivint's customer service has also been absolutely wonderful. The quality of the equipment has been okay and whenever I have issues, I call and they come right then and there and they help me through the process. When you need to have a service tech, it usually takes about a week for someone to come out but that's my only complaint.

    AT&T mentioned that Vivint is the third-party that they prefer for security systems. Vivint had a promotion with a free ring doorbell and the pricing for the security system with the promotions wasn’t bad, and these caught me interested. The installation was fast. The tech who installed my stuff was awesome, on time and very nice. He was able to do both installation and communication. So far, Vivint's service is good. The user-friendly system that they have is pretty cool and straightforward. Unfortunately, there are still a few glitches with the system running a little slow. I'm also trying to get the billing cycle to be on another day. But other than that, it’s been a great experience with Vivint.

    We looked at different security systems but they did the same stuff. There was nothing that caught our interest until Vivint came along. They did a free install and they were cheaper. The monthly payments are a little higher but that's something we can work with. I liked dealing with Vivint's representatives as well. When the guy came out to install, he walked us through everything. He also told us how everything was gonna work once the install was complete and he showed us how to use the system. When the doorbell lost signal a few times, the reps told me how to go about fixing it. That aside, the system works great and the features are awesome. I love that I can do things from my phone, look at the camera and set off the alarm if I need to. If it's raining out or if my hands are full, I can disarm and unlock from my phone. It's nice and I like it. Go with Vivint.

    A young man came to my door years ago, telling us about Vivint. He demonstrated what he had and talked to us about it instead of calling us on the phone, so we decided to work with Vivint. Their people were always eager to help and they asked pertinent questions about what I was trying to find out. During the installation, their guys came and had to drill holes on two of the doors to put little magnet things in there, but they didn't make a big mess and there wasn't anything on the floor.

    They had a lot more features that they could put, but we only got the ones that we needed. The security system that we have is very easy to use. Someone had to come and replaced the whole thing that was on our den door because we put new batteries in it and that didn't work, so their people came and put a new one in. But the signal that they have on that door is very loud every time we open the door. If somebody is asleep in the upstairs bedroom, it'll wake them up. It doesn't have to be so loud. But other than that, I'm very satisfied with Vivint.

    The installer from Vivint had to come back the second time but he did a good job. I got all the features in the system. However, lately it seems like it keeps losing the internet and I keep having to reboot the panel. It takes forever to reboot and it's kind of a pain but overall it has been okay. We like to be able to look around in the cameras and see what's going on in the streets.

    I've had Vivint for several years and I’ve renewed. When I’ve renewed, I’ve got upgrades so I’ve got pretty much everything covered. I’ve got my garage door, all my service entrances, windows and glass break. I’ve got motion detectors and cameras as well. However, my contract is coming up and I was talking to them about some different things. The thing that aggravates me the most is that I have such an extensive system and every now and then, I have problems. There’s a fall right now on a battery on the living room glass break and I’ve got a big mouth bird, so the glass break in the living room is disabled because she sets it off when I’m not here or when I am here, at any point. I had Vivint disconnect it, but now it’s showing a bad battery in it and nobody has called.

    Also if the equipment breaks down and when getting somebody out, they want me to pay a service fee and that’s absolutely ridiculous. The people who came knew what they were doing but they didn't have the tools on their truck and so they placed a temporary thing on the equipment and said they'll come back. That was aggravating.

    I really like Vivint. I don’t wanna switch but they want another six-year contract and everything stays the same. The money is okay and I’m not complaining. I would like to save and at the same point for what I’m getting, the money is fair. But I also know that there’s a new keypad out and I know that there’s all that kind of stuff. I talked to somebody from another company and they came in with pie in the sky but I never heard of them. So overall I am still pleased with Vivint's price and the service I have now.

She was very kind and we tried together to resolve the issue, but unfortunately we could not fix it. The door is locked, but it continues to read as unlocked. I keep getting emails from Luis ** to sign my S-6454754 New RIC, but I don't want to sign the form until my equipment is working properly. Contract is set to expire today.
