    The disconnection of communication with representatives, no one was willing to call back once the lines were disconnected. My daughter had to call repeatedly as well as myself. Extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience my daughter and myself had and the system is installed but will not connect to my daughter's WiFi. I’m not sure if I want to continue further business.

    I had ADT and was not happy with the customer service, and what I was paying versus the features. But when Vivint presented a product, even though it was more expensive, it gave me the things that I was looking for. The sales rep knew the product. He was able answer all of my questions and address my concerns so it was an easy decision to move from ADT to Vivint.

    Overall, I was happy with the installation process. I have a control panel that controls everything, and I have a dual zone house so I also have individual thermostats on each floor. That way if you’re not near the control panel, you can still make a change to the system. I enjoy having multiple cameras and I really like the ability to be able to have an app on my phone to be able to check my system, check the cameras, whether I wanna check clips or whether I wanna check a live feed. That’s what I appreciate the most.

    I’ve been satisfied with the service. I’ve had some cameras that have failed or cameras that had to be reset. I also had a problem with my software a couple times, but they’ve always been able to address it, except for the thermostats, which started acting up as soon as the tech left. So next time I have to have a service contractor out here, they could have a look at the thermostats again.

    One of the main reasons I gave up on ADT was I had them for a couple of years, and they never sent me the manual for the control panel, even though I had requested over and over for it. They would say that they had sent an email but they never did. But with Vivint, customer service has been positive every time I’ve had a problem with the system or when they changed the software. They’re very easy to contact. Generally, the hold times are very short, and I’m able to get my answer fairly quickly. 98% of the time I’m given a correct answer. There was only one time that I called that the first person I talked to gave me some bad information. But I appreciate the fact that they seemed to be on-point. I’ve recommended Vivint to other people.

    I had a previous alarm company that served its purpose, but I wasn’t really happy with their customer service. Since the house that I got has some stuff from Vivint installed already in there, I gave the company a shot. Signing up was pretty quick. The rep and I talked a little much on the phone and he stayed until the job was done. Then, when we had some issues with the front door getting that system to communicate with the wall unit, it took about 2.5 hours to get it all done and their team didn't get flustered with it until they figured it out.

    I was able to customize the package to fit my needs and get the equipment in the house updated. The bedroom has many glass breaks. The house had some things that I didn't like, though, such as the keypad on the door so I had that changed out and got a new one. And since the house had cameras already in it which weren't hooked up to the alarm but to the DVR system, I decided not to go with Vivint cameras.

    So far, the service has been great and there hasn't been any issue with the system. We can arm and disarm it and open the garage using the app on the phone. It was also fairly easy to add a new card using their app. Additionally, I liked the email from Vivint saying I missed the payment because I changed debit cards. Overall, everything has been good with Vivint.

    Vivint was on Undercover Boss and I was very impressed with the man on the show. That was how I heard of them and it is a very good company. I've been with them for a little over two years now and I’m very impressed with them so far. When the installer came in, he explained what he was going to do. He was very efficient and he cleaned up. Then when my alarm went off, they were right there. They surprised me because they came on the panel right away. My past company used to take a while to call me. Everybody I’ve dealt with at Vivint has also been very polite and informative. They go above and beyond to try and help me with anything that I’ve asked them.     From Lethbridge Alberta salesman Angel he promised me a 6 months free no out-of-pocket security system as I am still on short-term disability. I found out that they charge me almost immediately after the first one and the second month should have checked it for a sooner but I didn't. When I finally got ahold of them I was promised a refund. When the refund was set to come in on the following week it did not so I called. Was then given the runaround as to why and then dip saying that was just cancel, that are only the money, that nothing they can do. Nothing they will do and they don't care.

    I had it installed over a year ago. Originally told system can support 6 cameras... it freezes or reboots or is simply nonresponsive on a weekly basis. I call constantly and they tell me what they do on that call is supposed to fix the issue. Why do I need to call constantly over the same issues? My opinion shop around.

    I was looking for a thermostat and came across Vivint. I was told that the Vivint System would be a hub for all of the equipment to meet. It grants controls into a smart home. I now have their app. I have the doorbell and the front lock. I’ve had a number of issues with Vivint. The panel has been replaced once. Somehow, something happened between the panel and the thermostat, and I had to get the thermostat replaced as well. It has gone out a couple of times. I’ve been on the phone with tech support for 8 hours. Not at one time but since I’ve gotten it. I like the idea of it, but I feel there’s still a number of bugs to be worked out.

    The customer service of Vivint is great. Every time I call, someone is very helpful. They seemed to be fairly knowledgeable. But there have been a couple of times when I called and they couldn’t figure it out. I had to get someone to come out. Scheduling is an issue. I was also surprised by the amount that I’ve paid for the fee, especially given that the system is not a year old. It’s going in the right direction, but there’s still so much to be done. Someone told me that there’s a newer model. I over-aligned to the other system and I would caution someone to get one right now.

    Everything was fine with the sales rep from Vivint. The installation went fine as well and the installer was very good. I got Vivint's basic package and I've been with them for about a year. However, right now, I’m not very satisfied with their service. We can’t get the picture from the cameras to show up very well and we can’t get it on our phone like we did at first. We’re doing some remodeling now but when all that is done, I'm gonna call Vivint and see if we can get everything straightened out.

    The alarm I had before went through the phone service. I wanted to get rid of my phone and since Vivint is wireless, I got them and I got one for my shop too. I had a lot of pressure with their sales rep. I was told to do it or they ain’t gonna have time to do it. Nonetheless, the service has been good. The guys that installed it used some of my old stuff and installed some new stuff. They made it work but they were in a hurry. They moved in and moved out fast. The service guy that they have sent here about seven months ago was really good. He showed me more about the system than the guys when the system was first installed. He gave me his number and told me to call him if I have any issues and questions. It was the only thing that saved Vivint because I was gonna move on to a different system because I still do not feel that I am getting what I should get after five years.

    They got cameras that are good now unlike when they first installed it and I’d like to have the new cameras. I wanna update my system but nobody has ever contacted me about it, not even to renew my lease. The service guy told me that when the time comes to renew my lease, somebody will get a hold of me but nobody ever did. He told me I could call him and he would look into it but I never have because I haven’t been home a lot but now, I have been thinking about calling him and see what we could do to find out about things. However, it seems like when you call Vivint, people don’t seem like they get much. I’ve only had to call them two or three times but it seems like they just don’t have it all together. Vivint system works good but I could get a better service.

    I thought the initial installation was solid and the person who sold me my security system and the person who installed it were awesome. BUT, I am not satisfied with Vivint customer service. The first time I called in, I had to wait on hold for about 20 minutes, and I was trying to cancel a false alarm after the glass break sensors kept going off. Nobody advised me that pets could potentially set them off.

    Then, I received a warning letter from my county about a false alarm and registering my system for a permit, and customer service apparently has permit registration information for certain counties, but not for mine. They advised me I would need to contact my county, but the letter I have from my police department clearly states that the alarm company is responsible for registering my system. Instead of calling to obtain the paperwork, they asked me to call and get it and send it over which I basically feel is passing off the task to the customer.

    Nobody advised me when I signed up that the window glass breakers are super sensitive and need to be adjusted (hence the false alarm and warning from my police department) or that I would need to register my alarm system with my county. To try to call someone and speak with them on the phone takes a LONG time, but it is faster to use the support chat box. Overall, I like my equipment, the system itself, and my initial install guy and salesperson were awesome, but I was not satisfied with the customer service experience.

    Somebody from Vivint came to our door at our old house about three years ago and we signed up. We were probably among their first customers. There was an older alarm system in our house and it was one of those wired system. When we replaced the new windows, and they put new windows, they cut the cords so we tried a few other things like motion detectors but that was a disaster. We weren't even home and if there was a fly, it would set it off and the police was always awful.

    We have had tremendous problems especially the weakest part of their system, which is the part that connects to the thermostat. In our old house it was not installed correctly and it was connected to emergency heat. So we were getting emergency heat and our bills really went up. Somebody caught that so they sent out somebody else who was supposed to fix that. What that person did was connected it to the regular heat, but didn't also connect it to the emergency heat.

    We go to Florida for the winter. It was two years ago, and it was a really bad winter up here with snow and ice. The heat pump just kept going nonstop until the whole thing died and then there was nothing. We weren't there and the only thing we could tell, as we could monitor it, was that it seem like our house was very cold. When we got back we found out that we had to get a brand new heat pump. We really feel this was caused by Vivint. We made a claim but in the contract the most you can sue Vivint for is $2,000. They sent us a check for $2,000, which helped pay for a new heat pump.

    We sold the house and it went with a brand new heat pump. We set up a new account in our new house. But once again, there was a problem. It's fine for monitoring somebody coming in and breaking into our house. But it seems to have some problems with connecting with our heating and cooling systems. Now, on this house, it's not just on heat pump because we also have gas heat, and then we have two air-conditioners for different levels of the house. That also wasn't going very well. We put in our all new thermostat, and each one were electronic so we can actually control our thermostats now without going through Vivint. But when it was cold and I was complaining, I went to that thermostat and my husband said I had to do it with Vivint. I said, “I thought they are not connected.” But in some weird way, they are connected.

    We're feeling very comfortable with going away to Florida. We’re not worrying about Vivint, except for the idea of it monitoring anybody coming to our house. For a while the camera also wasn't working and also all of a sudden, we weren't hearing the doorbell ring so we called Vivint and they walked us through something. So now the camera's working and we hear the doorbell. So that's fixed. In our other house, they finally admitted to us that we have like a Beta version because we were like among the first customers. There were still some problems but at the moment, everything is working.

    I like Vivint. I liked the equipment when I saw it work when I bought the house and then I took over the service. Afterwards, I put a LAMP mod and a garage door feature in. I have a light thing that turns on in the garage and three cameras. I can also control my AC. I wanted availability to see and record from outside the house and so far, I like what I have. I've had Vivint for a year and a half now and I haven’t had too many problems. It was just batteries running low.

    We moved to Canada from another country and we have a different language. We got Vivint's home security system to feel more safe. We got the doorbell, cameras, a smoke detector, a sensor to detect gas for the furnace, a movement sensor, and window sensors. The components are working well but sometimes the system needs a restart, at least one time, up and down, in order to rejoin all the components. Other than that, the system is stable. Also, the Vivint representatives are good and there were no issues when the installation team came out. They installed everything and then came back a few weeks later to install some other thing. It was perfect.

    Vivint showed up at the right time when we’ve decided to avail of a security system. The sales rep who came was a cute, young kid. But he was good. And the one who set it all up was wonderful, nice and quick. He answered all of our questions. We got a very basic package and it's fine right now.     The door-to-door salesperson who came by where we lived was a younger female, in her early 20s. She had a system at her location as well and was really knowledgeable. We signed up with Vivint for some of the features, the options and the security of the system itself. It's not just a Wi-Fi system. It actually has its own standalone system and device.

    But we recently moved from Enid to Piedmont and we had some issues with our move. Somebody had either put in the ticket for the work order wrong or they had the wrong address for us. So the technician went to our old home to do our new install. My wife had taken off work for half of the day but they never showed up. On top of that, we had an issue where they weren't gonna give us all of the equipment that we were promised initially. They had to change the work order and in that timeframe, the Google Home offer they initially had expired. So they weren’t going to honor that anymore even though it was the fault of whoever created the work order. They were able to get that straightened out though and we finally got a technician out.

    I’ve been really happy with the features and the equipment. Right now, we have door locks, the doorbell and the garage door opener. The old owners of our home left the thermostat so we have two thermostats on our system as well. The features are definitely good. It’s also nice to be able to go to one app and be able to look at our camera and make sure all of our doors are locked. It would tell that our garage door is down and if we’re out of town, we can adjust the thermostat. It's super convenient. One of my friends has the same features in his home but he has four different apps for everything that he has to control. Vivint's service fee per month is a little on the high side though. I don’t think the price is outrageous but I have to weigh whether paying that $50 service fee every month is worth paying to have everything in one convenient place.

    My key panel is not working properly. Also I originally ordered 3 door sensors which the technician stated the 3rd one wouldn't be necessary now I have a door that's not secure and when I called I was told I needed to pay another $35 dollars. Also when I set my alarm on key panel to away it goes into stay mode automatically. I have to adjust it through my app if I want my alarm to be set properly. All this money I've paid and paying a month and I am not happy at all. Terrible.

    A Vivint rep who was doing a door to door canvassing presented the system to me and it looked like a good product. The rep was personable and he knew his product so it was appealing enough. He was able to get an installer to come right over although I would have been willing to wait till the next day because even if the young girl knew what she was doing, it took her about six hours to actually get everything installed and working. They started at about 8 o'clock at night and didn't get it done till about 2 o'clock in the morning. It was a frazzling experience and my wife was not really happy that we were kept up that late at night. But once the system was in, it was great and I haven't had too much issue with it since.

    Five years had passed since we've had the service and we're month to month with Vivint. But for the past two months, they raised my monthly service. Then one day, I was pulling out of the driveway and saw a Vivint rep. He told me he could help me save some money and cut my bill in half. He mentioned going through a process and getting me hooked up as a new customer. It sounded good to me because I wanted to get some more products and a doorbell camera. The doorbell that we have works in conjunction with an AIRCOM system and it doesn't run on 110 electric current. I had a guy come out and look at it but said he couldn't install it. But the Vivint rep said he had a guy who could put a doorbell camera in. He then told me to call Vivint and tell them that I wanted to cancel my service.

    I called Vivint but the rep that I spoke with said I couldn't do that. He told me that I had to be without service for 30 days in order to become a new customer. I told him what the other rep said but he told me it couldn't be done. But it sounded like the guy on the phone and the one on the street were competing against each other where one was telling me one thing and the other was telling me, "He can't promise you that, but I can get you this." I wasn't sure that I could trust either one of them and it got so confusing that I haven't done anything.

    I would recommend Vivint to somebody if they were coming in straight off the street but for the past two months since they raised my rates and I couldn't get a straight answer between the two people of what they could do, I would be a little leery to tell someone that they do a great job. But apart from that, Vivint has been on top of the game when we mistakenly set off the alarm or when we have had issues and I can't complain about their service.

    I had new windows and doors put in and I was talking to Vivint about getting new sensors because the ones that were on my old doors and windows couldn’t be removed. The sensors had a glue and they couldn’t get it off to be able to reuse them. But Vivint's reps said that it was too expensive to put the sensors on my new windows and doors. They also said that they would send replacement sensors to me but I had to pay for them and they were not cheap. Other than that, when I first got this system, Vivint's techs came out and put the sensors on. Then, when my contract had run out, they added some sensors and put them in. They would come out and check as well, but they have not done any of that recently. Right now, I only have one sensor on my wall in my living area that’s working because they said they couldn’t replace the sensors but my bill is $50 a month. All in all, I'm not satisfied with Vivint.

    The last two months with Vivint have been hiccup after hiccup. I either had a problem with my cameras, my doorbell or my garage door opener. It just went on and on. The system couldn't seem to get fixed. They’re fine now but with the amount of time that it took, it was brutal. I was on the phone, on average, no less than half an hour and almost as high as an hour and a half just to get a problem solved. Getting resolution to issues was very time-consuming and very often, it took more than one phone call. I don’t wanna have to go through hoops and bounds to get something done. I wanna make sure that it’s done, done correctly and in as little time as possible.

    But a lot of times, people didn’t even have a clue what I was talking about. Sometimes it was because when I got the system in here, a lot of the details weren’t explained. They were featured as really nice amenities for having the service but I wasn't told what the components were. For example, I thought the cameras were different kinds. They’re light-sensitive. They react to light only and they emphasize with light but they don’t have an infrared. And I would like there to be infrared cameras. I would get to see at night as if it was clear as a bell. But that’s not the case. But because I thought they were infrared, I had the cameras set up in an absolutely dark lane between two houses. And I couldn’t see anything after sunset.

    Also, one of the things I complained about a lot was cold transferring and hopefully, it had some influence. I hate it when I talk to somebody for half an hour then they transfer me and I have to start all over again. That shouldn't be the case. When I give one person a short summary of what my problem is, that person should explain to whoever they're transferring me to. In the last year, I spent more time repeating myself.

    The garage door opener started acting up within two weeks of my having it put in. And if I had known it only had a two-month warranty on it, I would have asked them to come and replace it right away. It took me by surprise that the warranty was too limited. That's also something that was never explained to me. It was four months on installation and two months on new equipment. I got a better warranty with my coffee maker and it's not intricate.

    I spent an hour and a half on the phone to get my garage door opener to work. The person I was dealing with on the phone told me to push a button on my garage door opener. But I told him that the only button I could see was on the house and behind the motor. I told him there was button to push that says "learn". He said, "Oh, yeah. Push that button." But in the end, it was not the right button. I finally got it though. On the Linear box for our garage opener, there’s a very tiny button on the side that was hidden by how they affixed the box to my garage door opener. So I had to go find it but we got it working.

    But when I went to close the garage, my remotes wouldn’t work anymore. In pressing the other button, what I had done was cancel all my codes. So I could push the button for the garage door opener and it would work but from the inside of the car, nothing would work. And the answer I got from Vivint was that it was working on their end and that I had to call my garage door opener company. It's the instructions that created the problem though. Plus It was an extra step that really put the top right out of my anger. It’s all worked out though. I contacted the garage opener, LiftMaster, and they gave me all the instructions I needed. But I sent a note to the Vivint guy I had been dealing with. I told him that in the future, if a customer says that they're gonna push anything in the housing of the item, he should tell them not to.

    It’s just been a comedy of sad errors. The recorder of the Smart Drive also failed and when I was looking at it, I was missing the white light in the front. It was going from pink to purple and then back to white. There wasn’t a color that was even on Vivint’s color scheme. I tried to explain it to them and I even sent them pictures. But it took three calls because I didn't know what it was doing. Finally, Terry, one of the senior technicians, said that he would look at it. I had asked for it to be reviewed but I never got a response. Terry said he would expedite it and two days later, I got a note saying my SmartDrive would be sent to me and to please send back the old one so they could assess it. That was fair enough. I liked that. It was done but it was almost like pulling teeth to get it done.

    The service on the ground here is good though. They couldn’t have been faster on the installation. I signed the contract and the guy was at the door. But one of the things that really got me was that I thought it would cost $100 for a technician to come here. I finally had that resolved and I was told it’s $49. However, the biggest problem is we have to call a technician in if we can’t resolve it over the phone. They would be here in a couple of hours. But if something can’t be resolved over the phone to my satisfaction, I don’t see why I should have to pay for someone to come in. I don’t think I should be a technician either. When I was told about getting a garage filter done properly, I was asked if I could get up on a ladder. I'm 70 years old and the best I’ve got is a step stand. I got it done but I had to go through the extended effort to get anything resolved.

    Everything’s working properly now. My doorbell actually rings through my phone now and I get all the warnings I want. I'm very happy right now. But there were hurdles to get through to the point where everything’s working fine. I was really dissatisfied. I've even talked to people around here because a lot of us have Vivint and everybody's surprised. I seem to have a lot of trouble. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t have any more system hiccups.

    For weeks now I've been fighting with Vivint Solar about damage caused by their solar panels on our roof. They sent a company called DC general to do the repairs that needed to be done. Fix the roof, done. Replace the damage insulation in the attic, not done. Fix the ceiling. Not done correctly. Replace the ceiling fan. Not done. Paint the ceiling. Not done properly. We had to pay our own contractors to do the job right and now I have to fight for reimbursement for a job not done. The bottom line. Stay the hell away from Vivint Solar!!! Very disappointed!!!

    I saw Vivint signs in the neighbor’s yard. After I turned down several companies, they came out and their price was a lot more than what was advertised. The features never work right and I call the company four times a month. I’m having issues with my equipment and the doorbell camera is the only thing that works. The driveway camera is always recording clips and I have to call them. They walk me through and I spend hours. Technicians don’t come out and I have to fix it. After an hour of troubleshooting with them, they said they would send someone out. It was horrible and the worst service ever.

    When I told them how I was misled and given wrong information, they wanted $7000 to cancel my contract. It was very expensive. I went as far as to ask them if they could price match with Ackerman and they told me I was not available for price match until 2020. I called them today and I asked if I could get a camera for my basement. They said I could for $200. I told them that I had the camera two years ago and I turned an equipment to downgrade. They were gonna charge me and it has been one big nightmare. Nevertheless, their home service person was very nice and I’ve never had an issue with a technician.

    After having this system for approximately a year now, I am beginning to experience CHRONIC problems with various devices in the system. Under contract for equipment that does not function most the time now. Chronic doorbell camera problems, chronic panel freeze ups, etc. Support chat works most of the time but be prepared to be tied up with correcting the problems yourself for a good hour or more with chat. I have never used the tech support phone option as I do not hear well on a phone.

    Recent being tied to contract for 3 years and I have to actually do all the work to get devices to work after failure. With being elderly, this is not always easy for me being a non-tech savvy person. Used to attempt to provide referrals for company and get a reward, but that option on their websites is not really user friendly and I have not been successful yet with making a referral on-line.     I had to call Vivint a little bit ago because there was some stuff in the application that I use to monitor to use the service that wasn’t happening. Essentially, I didn’t have the video clips from the front porch in my library. I got information that somebody had visited the front door but I didn’t have any video clips of that occurrence. Their rep sent me a step-by-step instruction so he wasn’t gonna be wasting my time. He gave me his extension to call back if I had any more problems. He tried to resolve it over the phone, but the best thing to do was to go ahead and delete the device from my menu, and then re-add the device back into my menu and that resolved it.

    I have their window monitors when the windows get opened and closed, a breaking glass monitor, a doorbell, and a proximity monitor that if somebody entered and came through the living room, it can sense movement. Also, we got a piece to open up the garage door remotely. It’s not just having a security if someone is busting into your house while you’re gone. The garage door opener is pretty convenient if I’m taking a walk. I can close it just with my phone and open it with my phone as well. Vivint has been pretty good. I got what I expected, they haven’t raised their rates on me, and I'm overall pretty satisfied with their service.

    The Vivint sales person here in Albuquerque was very knowledgeable and watching him walk through the whole process of trying to sell the system was very impressive. He closed the sale that night before I even had a chance to go to AT&T or anybody else. I did a little bit of research online of the two companies and he backed that all up and that was part of the reason why I made my decision to go with them.

    The installers were good, too and every time we called customer service, it's been really good. But we wanted a Vivint sign to let people know that we had a security system and that seemed to take about three calls in about three weeks or longer. But that was the only part that seemed to fall through the cracks and took a while to get corrected. Other than that, I find the system easy to use and I love the way it syncs to my cell phone. It also tells me everything that's going on in my home when I'm not there.

    The door to door service rep lies about the terms. Then when I tried to call to get a better understanding they could not tell me where exactly on the contract the cancellation policy is. I was told "if it doesn't state termination then they don't have one". That is completely absurd as every contract has a termination clause. Supervisor was an idiot. He was a trained robot who couldn't answer outside of his recited lines. I'd never do business with them and I hope people learn from my mistake of trying this company out. Please stay away, there are much better providers. Horrible people to work with and just an overall trash company.

    We have had so many issues with our equipment. They have sent several technicians out here that have had to replace the equipment. We still are having issues, now the supervisor is telling us we have to pay a $49 charge to have a technician come out because they cannot fix the equipment over the phone that they sold us. This place is a joke. You spend more time on the phone with the horrible customer service/supervisors than they do monitoring the equipment. Do not go with Vivint. We will be breaking the contract and going back to the service we had before trying this horrible place. We will tell everyone we know never use this company.

I spoke with a salesman that day and he told me what the system was like, how much it would be a month, and that somebody else would come back to put the system in. The guy who came to install the system went above his work and showed me how to use it. I got the regular home surveillance system and I have the light alert system with it. Also, I have the system where I can reach the fire and police departments if necessary. So far, I use the system but not as often as I should. In fact, I got a service call because of that. They came out to kinda check on it and make sure that everything was working properly. Other than that, I'm satisfied with Vivint.

    Vivint's price is a little too high and I don’t like the wires all hanging down the walls. There’s also no camera on the outside so that you have a full security package.     The door-to-door sales reps of Vivint came by and we liked the idea of a smart home, their sales pitch, and the equipment that they were offering. But our experience with Vivint was not always a good one. Previously, when we first signed up with them, the features that were included with the service package that we purchased weren’t what we have now. We now have the video equipment in our home and the outdoor cameras. We also have their version of the Ring doorbell, but it never worked correctly. The doorbell doesn’t record clips no matter what we do to the app or the settings, so it’s pointless unless we just want to see who’s at the door at the time. But if people were to come and we would want to record a clip of them, we would never be able to. Also, the indoor main power system box fails all the time.

    The Vivint people just restarted the system, but they could never figure it out. They told us that the settings are correct on our app and the system should be working correctly. Another thing is that when we were first having them set up the new equipment, I paid close to $900 for it, but they failed to get the tech out to set it up for us four times. Since we made so many appointments and they failed to show up at our house and provide service, they gave me six months free service, so I was okay with that. It’s just that the equipment has never worked the way it’s supposed to. If I have the time to do some research and find another security company, I would change. I'm just too lazy to switch our security system provider, but the equipment is really annoying. Although I've put some feedback in Vivint's Facebook page, they still did nothing about it.

    My brother had the Vivint security system at his house. I had another security company and got rid of them before I went with Vivint as well. The service package that I purchased includes cameras, sensors for the windows and doors, and the alarm system. But my doorbell camera went out again and they charge me if somebody comes out to fix the equipment that belongs to the distributor. They also charge me to get somebody to come out and troubleshoot it, even if it is not fixed, and I don’t like that especially if I gotta pay monthly for someone to do nothing. Although the reps have been helpful, they couldn’t go against their company's policy. The installers that came out to my home fixed the problem and installed an extra router or modem, but it still went out again and it’s out now. As there are so many competitive alarm systems now, I’m thinking of getting rid of Vivint and getting another security company.

    The Vivint reps were here and installed the security system. It went in fast and easy. The system does what it's expected to do and it's also very easy to maintain. It takes care of itself and I don't have to do a whole lot. The alarm works every time I turn it on and off and I haven't had any problems with it. Also, if I needed anything, I called and the reps took care of it. I've had two malfunctions and both times, they called and the police came. Once, we weren't here but my son had a key to the house. He came over and turned the alarm off. One of the sensors broke loose and fell off the door. Vivint sent us the part that was bad which was 9 or 10 bucks and it wasn't very expensive. I put it up and it worked fine ever since. It's been a very low maintenance service and our experience with Vivint has been excellent.

We got the new panel that has the doorbell and the camera on it, and the motion sensor inside. We have a thermostat, which we took that off but there wasn’t anything wrong with it. And then we like the doorbell thing. That’s very nice ‘cause my daughters, if they’re home by themselves, they can see who’s at the door before going to the door.

    Whenever I interact with Vivint, it’s very easy and they’re usually pretty nice. The installation team was very nice too. They’re quick and they clean up their mess. It was almost like they weren’t even there. They were in and out pretty quick. They explained and showed the new features, like how to use the new panel. And they got us set up on our cellphones. But I need to redo that one. We got new phones and it won’t update. We're good with Vivint.

    When Vivint was coming around the neighborhood, I spoke with Chad, their salesman. He was very good and he talked me into leaving what I had before. I had issues with the other company that I had and Vivint sounded so much better. So I signed up to Vivint. I wanna feel protected so my package includes the break-in-glass detection for the windows, all the doors, smoke alarm, a keyless entry, and a camera that can monitor my front porch. Now that it's getting kinda cold and I would be using the heaters, I was also thinking one getting carbon monoxide detectors.

    During the installation, Chad was also here but a different person did it. The installation guy went ahead, did the doors, and put everything up where it's supposed to be. He also checked and hooked up my Wi-Fi to the panel. He did a great job and was very thorough. I was pretty happy with him. So far, Vivint's service has been great. They take out my payments from my checking automatically and I don't have to worry about paying them. And every time I have a problem, all I gotta do is call them and they're right there for me. Also, I could set the system and open a door on my phone. I can be at work and see who's at my porch, if anybody's there. If anybody is looking for a security system, Vivint is the one to go to.

    The Vivint team came to our door, selling their security system. They were pretty good and and they sold it to us. We had another home security company before, but there’s a lot more to our Vivint system than what we had with our old system. We've pretty well got everything in the service package that we purchased, but we’re figuring out how to work it. So far, the customer service provided by the Vivint team has been very good. We've had some problems with it, but they sure helped us out and fixed these. The girl who came was excellent when we got our problem fixed this morning.

    We had a little problem, though, with the installation because the salesman said they were going to put all their new equipment in here and take out all of the old stuff, but they didn’t do that. They changed the motion detectors and other equipment, but they used a lot of the stuff from our old system and just put their system into it. We paid a premium price for the installation, but they just came in and put their control panel where our old control panel was and hooked up to our old wires and to all of our door things and other stuff. The system is working, but we felt that they shortchanged us. But even if that was to their benefit, it worked out anyway and we’re quite happy. After all, they didn’t have to put all the equipment in again and we didn’t want them running wiring again through the house.

    I also wanted to hook up our garage or shop to the security system and they said they could do that, but it didn’t turn out exactly as they thought and they finally told me that the shop was too far from the house. But they added some things to boost the signal and we get a signal out to our shop now. They said they could get the system working and they did, so now we’re pretty happy with it.

    I called Vivint about setting up system. Frank told me $53 charge but would be reimbursed. He charged my credit card & set up between 12:00-4:00 PM Nov 2 installer to come for quote. I had to take off work 4 hours. received 4 voicemails reminding me of installation date. Installer never arrived. I called Vivint. They couldn't care less. No supervisors available to talk to - only salespeople. I waited a total of 56 minutes to get someone to talk to. And, when I finally reached someone, she said it'll take 5-7 days to credit my card. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. There are plenty of companies out there -many rated higher.

    I've been with Vivint for about 10 years. I haven't had any problems with them before, but I've recently been having a lot of issues. About two years ago we've had Vivint guys out a couple of times. They’ve added something that looked like a little connector to the wall to help with transmitting everything, but it's not working. It's constantly down. We have trouble locking and unlocking doors and setting the alarm. Using the app is a hit and miss. It always sensed that the system is unlocked when it is not.

    Vivint was the most cost-efficient versus the other companies, and I like everything on it. I have the doorbell camera. It works fine. I also have the thermostat, the motion detector, and all the normal other stuff. One time, I had to call about my thermostat because it turned into wintertime and it wasn’t taking on. But that was because they had it set to a furnace and I have a heat pump. So, Vivint had to come and change the setting on it. I also had them come out because the doorbell camera was wired wrong. The technician had to rewire it to make it function properly. Vivint has pretty quick response time and I feel pretty confident with them.

    I chose Vivint for the price and the other security features, like the cameras. When I told them the layout of where I was trying to get the system installed, they pretty much gave me a couple of suggestions on what to do or what package to go with. Then I chose according to that. I have had alarm people in the past that lead you wrong though. They'd tell you one thing then it's totally different after you've signed the contract. But Vivint was pretty much upfront with everything. They're honest people. The installation team also came out on time. They did what they said they were gonna do, explained everything in detail and answered any questions that I had.

    But I'm not too satisfied with the outdoor cameras at the moment. Some of the cameras keep going in and out so I have to keep reprogramming them. The actual service itself is good though. If we have an alarm go off, they call in a timely manner. They're prompt and everybody is nice. They would answer all the questions that I have.

We have got five cameras in my system. However, they go offline so often. If they're offline, those cameras are obsolete. Somebody came and they got it back online. However, the next day, a couple of the cameras are right offline again. In addition to the cameras, we've had issues with the panel six times at least. Overall, we are not satisfied with Vivint because we don't have continuous camera coverage.

    Someone broke into our garage and we wanted to have a little bit of security around the house because sometimes I work nights and my wife is here by herself. So, we decided to go with a security system and it happened to be Vivint. I thought they were a good company but I regret going with them now. They are the biggest piece of crap I ever worked with. Every time we'd call them, it would cost 50 bucks per service call. Also, the cameras and stuff would work while their technician was here but once he left, a couple of hours later, it would quit working and would never work again until I call them out again. So we got nothing of what we expected from Vivint. But if you opened up the door, the alarm would go off when I had it set. And Vivint's reps on the phone were all right. But when we sold the house and we had to get out of the contract, Vivint charged us $1,055. If we knew anybody who'd buy alarms, we'd tell them not to go with Vivint.

    We purchased a house with the Vivint system already installed. We wanted to ensure that our house is alarmed when we were not at home and to make sure that things stayed secure and working through Vivint was the best path as they have since operated the device and they were already familiar with this address. We've been with Vivint since 2017 and they've been great. Every time I've had an issue, I called them up and the answer had been good. The sales guy that we had was super nice and the technician that originally came in to install was professional and did a great job too. He was punctual, got right to work and it didn't take him long to set up the system. He walked me through a little bit and did everything else he was trained to do. It was easy and I appreciated it.

    Vivint is delivering as advertised and even if I haven't had any major break-ins to test the system back to the local PD, I'm certain that it would work just fine. It tends to be a little glitchy sometimes which is typical for electronic systems but it's not a bug. We also had the fire smoke sensors installed but I ended up having that pulled out because it kept giving false alarms. Then, the battery needed to be changed every month and it was just a pain. I removed it from my system and we haven't had many false alarms. But the panel went completely in-operational recently and that was the latest problem that I called about today.

    But now that it's refreshed, it seems to be working fine. I've got control over with my mobile app locally and things have been running smoother. Also, the person that I worked today was knowledgeable and helped me troubleshoot the system which was nice. I've been happy with Vivint and I've thrown their name out there whenever somebody asked about security systems.

    When I moved in, Vivint was the security company that the person there had, so that’s what I did too.     Vivint's customer service reps were very effective and friendly. I was happy with them. Also, the guys who came out to put the system in were fast, courteous, and professional. I wanted a kind of a relatively bare-bones package and I got four cameras, a control console, a memory device for recording camera video, additional Wi-Fi router, a few switches, windows and doors, an automatic door lock which I don't use at this point, and a door bell camera. I got those features to control petty theft around the neighborhood. We suspect we had a package stolen. I also got them to keep nuances away and for general security purposes, so when we go and travel, we're not worried about the house.

    So far, the system partially works and I'm not super satisfied with it. Initially, I wanted a wired system because I was worried the wireless would give me problems. Wireless videos would fall offline and it's a major pain in the behind trying to get them linked back up again. My videos with Vivint are semi-wired which means they run the wire into a remote box in the house. But even with that, they kinda drop off and it's still a real pain. I don't know if Vivint owns the equipment or not, but I'm thinking of going with another company because I don't wanna deal with wireless. I got enough wireless stuff in the house as it is. So I'm switching unless they can put in a wired option.

    I was checking out several security companies to see which would be the best one not just for value. I was looking for specific types of equipment that they would use, their customer service and how they monitor. Through the things I read, studied and researched, Vivint looked like a top-notch place to go with. There were several issues when I moved last year and getting the equipment reinstalled. There was also some miscommunication on that a few times and getting it up to speed. I wasn’t able to ever get to the person I needed to talk to and I got passed off to people who didn’t know what to do, so I was always calling back several times, trying to communicate and it was very frustrating.

    As a customer, I would recommend, if they haven’t, to look at a smoother way so there’s not so many different departments you have to talk to. You’re getting so much red tape, no one remembers what you're talking about and then it didn’t get scheduled. There were a lot of dropped balls. It was a rough transition but everything else before that time and after that was excellent and interacting with the reps was very good. I sent feedback to Vivint about the move and they were accommodating and understanding. They offered some credits on my bill, so they were trying to help out. It just took some time but we finally got it squared away.

    I had a great experience with Vivint and there was nothing that made me feel compelled to wanna switch to a different security system. I like the service that they offered and the price point when I started it. I started with a standard package but ended up customizing it. I put monitors on all of my windows and doors including the garage. I also added an additional keypad to the bedroom since it was at the back of the house.

    The reps are always super helpful and I like how present and hands-on they are. If I ever set my alarm off accidentally, I always knew that I could count on them to respond very quickly or check in to make sure that everything was okay. I had one burglary attempt but it was to no avail because the alarm went off and it scared the burglars off before they were able to get in so I was very pleased with the service and I would recommend everyone to go with Terminix as opposed to any other companies I have used.

    I have been with Vivint for five years and so far, I'm happy with the service that we've gotten from them. If we have a failed sensor, they send out a replacement quickly. They're very fast to respond. Recently, I added a water sensor in the basement and had to replace another sensor that had failed. They sent me an updated version of it. Also, the customer service team is professional. Although some of the service guys I dealt with aren't that great to deal with, everyone that we've dealt with Vivint has been good. There are other systems out there, like SimpliSafe that I had looked at, and it fits my needs the same way the Vivint system does.     Vivint's reps have always been very responsive and fairly quick. But I had some problems with my alarms which didn't always go through because I didn't always get a return call. Right now, I have a battery out of whack that sets my glass break battery as well and nobody could tell me how to replace that or fix it. The reps I talked to said that they didn't know how to fix that because they use my existing equipment. But that was what they said was best to do. So, I don't know what to do now. Other than that, the rest of the hardware has been doing pretty good. We just replaced a couple of sensors on the doors.

    Also, when the alarm goes off, I don't necessarily get a phone call. But I I like Vivint and I would recommend them. The reason I have it is because I've been broken into several times and it makes me feel better because I have kids that will stay home sometimes. So that gives me a sense of security with them. The fire alarm went off once and it was a very good thing. The response time was very good and we got it all taken care of. But we forgot to call and cancel the fire department,and they showed up pretty quickly. But when they're going door-to-door, I would suggest that they do not use the customer's existing equipment. They should out their own in so they can fix it 10 years later.

    We took over a contract from somebody in the neighborhood we used to live in. We have had Vivint for a couple of years now. The package we originally chose had the sky panel and a thermostat. We have upgraded it pretty much since we have got them. We have got three door locks now, a camera, two thermostats, and all my windows and doors are armed. The service is fine. I hsve got a garage door sensor that burns to about a battery a week. My camera keeps going offline, and Vivint is going to try to help us work it out. They'll send me a new part and hopefully it helps. If it does not, I will give them a callback. Every time we have contacted customer service, they have usually been pretty helpful. The installation personnel took a long time to get everything set up because we had a lot of stuff to get done, but he was fine. I would like to upgrade our Vivint a little bit more equipment down the road.

    We were very clear with our salesman that we would be paying $39.99/month + tax with no other charges including equipment rental fees. Our bill comes in with a $17 equipment rental charge. Your customer service said, "You can't do this," and when we contacted our sales reps he lied to us saying he meant our potential reduction in property insurance rates would offset this fee. That is not the case. We were very clear that we would not be signing up with Vivint if there was a rental fee. The insurance reduction was brought up when I asked about getting a certificate for them. He has no way to know if or how much my insurance company would reduce my rates for having a security system. I expect the rate we agreed to to be honored or I want the system removed.

    We had Vivint at our previous residence and we also have it now on our second home. However, I didn’t carry over the service to our second home because I misunderstood the contract. I thought that we just had to finish paying the other one out before we could do anything else. But when we had a Vivint rep come in our new home, he got me straightened out. He was very positive, informative, and he helped me understand that I could just switch over. He was also helpful with the equipment that I could have. He was very knowledgeable.

    The installer was very professional. I was disappointed, and it wasn’t his fault, but I wanted the doorbell camera. We’ve gotten an intercom system and that’s what the doorbell is, and it’s about 4 inches wide. The doorbell camera was narrow, and he wasn’t able to install that. So, he substituted with a different product. Other than that, we have the front door lock, one camera and the garage door opener included in our service package. I'm very pleased with the service. I also love the fact that I can do things from my phone. And when there has been a false alarm, Vivint was very quick to contact me.

    The sales rep of Vivint came out to the house and sent out the service guy. They did exactly what they said they were gonna do. They showed us how to use it, left us a card and showed us how to contact them if something went wrong. The only problem I have was that it goes offline a lot. But they usually let me know. They email or text me right away and usually fix it. They usually reboot it at their end. I’m very satisfied because no one has broken into my house and it works. We have a standard security alarm with Vivint. If I press the button, I could talk to them through the box. It also records on my phone what it’s doing. If I’m not home, it will tell me on my phone if it goes off, what it’s doing or if the power goes out. They’re just as good as ADT or anybody else, and they’re a little less expensive.

    I had been thinking of getting a home security system for a while and Vivint had a good deal. We went ahead and got a system from them. The features in our system are great. I really like being able to control the thermostat remotely and double checking that the doors were locked. We're trying to cancel and that's been proven to be difficult. We feel like we've been following the steps but then haven't heard anything back. So that's a little annoying. Other than that, Vivint's representatives have been great.     When Vivint canvassed the neighborhood, a friend of mine signed up with them. I called and requested the service over the phone and they were able to thoroughly assist me, and the installation was a great experience. The only thing I have a problem with is they call every month for them to reset everything. I’m going on a year and this would be the sixth time having to call them to get the system serviced. It’s not acting right. One time they sent me a router to go with it and they said that that would stop all the problems. Right now, I need to set up and give them a call for them to walk me through resetting it because my monitor is frozen. It’s working on my phone but on my actual monitor in my house, the system's screen is frozen. Two months ago, I was on the phone and they walked me through resetting up everything, and I’m back to it again. It’s becoming more frequent.

    The technician was kind of sketchy. He showed up in his personal vehicle and was dressed in jeans and a T shirt. Once installed we loved the service. However we had trouble getting them to pay out our old providers. The salesperson and the technician stated that due to some promotion we would receive two Google Minis in the mail. We never received those and when we called to inquire about them we were put on hold and later transferred to a number of other representatives who also placed us on hold. We eventually got tired of the games and ended the call.

    A Vivint sales rep knocked on my door, and he said they were in the area and looking for new clientele. I told him that I just lost my job and I needed to think long and hard. Also, I have a friend who has the service and I would like to reach out to him for a second opinion before I make a commitment. I told him that if he was interested in my business, he could make plans to come back to my house when it was convenient for me later that day, after I talk to my friend. If not, then he can just be on his way and have a great day. So, he came back. I decided that this was a service that I wanted to go with. He asked me about what my needs were and he was very thorough. So, it was a very positive interaction.

    The first installer was a lady who was very pleasant and she asked for permission before cutting into my wall. She asked me where I wanted it. She was very engaging and asked a lot of questions. Then we had to coordinate a follow-up appointment for my smoke detector. I was in the process of working on installing my doorbell and I didn’t exactly get what I wanted but I wasn’t unhappy with what I got. I have a two-story, and they wanted to do one thing, and I wanted to do another. It all centered around my doorbell but I finally said fine.

    At the end of July, I had a problem with my equipment. After being on hold for a very long time, I finally got someone. After multiple calls, we couldn’t fix it and the lady said we needed to add something. I told her I didn’t need any more equipment and if we couldn’t get it resolved, then we need to take it out and I need to cancel my service. After three calls, I finally got a guy and he said he needed to push a software update. After they did that, my online cameras still weren’t working. So, I called back and the girl I talked to said that I was gonna need new cameras for upstairs and downstairs. I was going out of town so I would be getting the equipment after I get back.

    I was delaying on installing it but in the meantime, I happened to check my bank account and more money than my normal monthly bill came out of my checking account. Vivint billed me without telling me that they were charging me for shipping to mail me the equipment. I told them I didn’t agree to it so they made it right. I wasn’t asking for anything other than for them to remove the charge because I should’ve known about it in the first place and I should not have been billed in the first place for their equipment because they pushed the software update, and it was their equipment. Aside from that, I haven’t had any problems and I love the new cameras that I got. They are great. Vivint has always been good and they were very responsive.

    I liked what Vivint had to offer and the lock on the door stood out. If you look up our account, you'd see how many times they have been out here. However, we still have issues that they have to come out for. For instance, my smoke alarms do not work and they said the tech would go out. He came out here, but he wasn't a smoke alarm specialist so he should have never been sent. Plus, every time we lock a door, it says, "Ignore. Break glass." My camera also doesn't work.

    The tech support is okay though. I wasn't always home and when I wasn’t here, my daughter and my husband couldn't get in. There was something wrong with the front lock. We had to pay $90 for the locksmith to come after. The rep said they wouldn’t be able to refund us right now because it had been some years. They had given us a key five years ago. But how are we to know to say that if we never even knew there was a key involved. We only knew about the key once something happened at the lock. We'd tell others to sit down and do research. Once the contract is up, we wouldn't have to do anything with Vivint. For the money we have been paying, using them has been a bad experience.

    I saw some Vivint signs and I knew a man who worked for them in Seminole so I called them when we needed a system. I told them what we wanted and everything was good with the representative I spoke to. The process was very easy and they came then set up and installed the system. Now, we pay a monthly amount and the system is of great quality. We set the alarm when we leave and we turn it off when we get back in. We haven’t had any attempted break-ins but we failed to turn the alarm off once or twice when we opened the door, so they were calling right away to see if everything was okay. That was good. Several people have asked about our system and I’ve told them that they should give Vivint a call.

    I have issues with my door bell camera. I have tried everything to fix it according to their website and what customer service reps have told me to do. The camera was still not fixed. I asked for a tech to be sent to my house to resolve the problem and they want to charge a service fee even though everything is covered under warranty. The customer service rep had the audacity to tell me that because it was "my product" it was my responsibility to try and fix it myself. On top of that, a rep would not be available right away. Funny how sales reps will show up on your doorstep whenever they want and will wait for you to come home until they sucker you into buying their product but can't get a tech rep to your home right away? I would stay clear from this service as they will charge you fees even though the product is covered under warranty. And their customer service is just terrible.

    Vivint had a technician who came by my house and presented the alarm system. Interacting with the sales rep was okay, and the installers were respectful and courteous. The video camera at the door is cool and you can see somebody if they ring the doorbell. I like that it’s got a battery back-up and different things. I also like the garage door deal where it indicates if the garage door is open. I wish I had more cameras but other than that, the equipment and the system are good.

    The Vivint sales guy was definitely the best. He was super professional, had a good attitude and definitely knew how to sell the products. The features that were offered were good but we only purchased what we felt we needed at that time and everything has been satisfactory. Their full package had a lot of unnecessary things for the size of my home. So, the sales guy worked with us to customize it. We had a really crappy old garage door at the time and we didn't need the system hooked up for that. He gave me all the instructions on what to do when we get it fixed and lots of suggestions on what we could do as we improved on our home. The installation team was awesome. They were all very nice, worked quickly and kept everything clean.

    However, during the first week, my eight-year-old accidentally set off the alarm system when nobody was home and I tried calling in. I was in the middle of a major event at work and I had a lot of people around me. I was having a hard time hearing and the person that answered the phone was real short with me because I couldn't remember my secret password. It took all those ridiculous amount of effort to try to get into the system so I could get them to turn it off. I just needed somebody to help me get the system turned off so that my eight-year-old can stop flipping out at home alone but the rep just wasn't hearing it. So that wasn't a great experience. But apart from that, a few times that I've had to call in a service with some issues, they've been very timely and professional.

    I use their smartphone feature all the time. It's fine but the internet connection sometimes create a problem to access it especially when we were travelling internationally. If somebody was ringing our doorbell and we wanted to see who it was, it would be super difficult to be able to pull up the video and use that wireless interaction with them while we were in a foreign country. When I'm not home and my kids are in the house, I can spy on them and make sure that they are where they said they are. My house was in close proximity to the house next door to me. My neighbor had some vandalism and some of the stuff that happened was caught on my cameras so that has been an unexpected bonus for having the package. I've had Vivint service for over a year now and so far, my experience with them has been great. In fact, I have recommended them to family, friends and neighbors.

    Lately, whenever I call Vivint with my problems, some of the reps are really inefficient and not courteous at all. They also take forever to send a technician to your house. They want you to do everything by yourself first. Every time you call, every rep wants to do the troubleshooting different times. Last time when I called for a problem, the rep wanted me to shut off all the breakers in my house. The tech that came to my house was very courteous and he did his job fine, but it took me forever to get him here and it took a lot of phone contradictions. Their system's features are okay but sometimes the app doesn’t show the proper notification. When I tried calling them, they said they were working on it but they don’t find the problem and solution to it. I'm just waiting for my contract to get over so I can switch.

    Vivint is our home protection, which includes motion sensors, door sensors, window sensors. It was customized to what we needed. Their service has been up and down. Sometimes, it's good. When we had to cancel a service at a second house because we sold it, it was quite an ordeal. It took almost a year to get to an agreement of where we should be. They wanted to charge us for a lot longer period of time even though we were on a month-to-month contract at that point because it had been like three years.

    There were lots of phone calls with customer service, as well as emails back and forth. "We'll look into it. We'll get back with you." The whole nine yards and then, "We'll need this kind of information," and we sent that to them and, apparently, there were some lost emails. It just took forever. Nevertheless, at the house I still own, the service has been fine. When we upgraded the panel last year, it was easy enough to set up and they installed it. Everything was great. The smartphone features are pretty nice and convenient, too

    Vivint's service has been good. I got the burglar alarm and the thermostat, and the alerts. I started with Brinks and then, it became APEX, and then it became something else, and then it became Vivint. Way back, a young man came through my neighborhood and I bought a thermostat from Brinks. Later on, when it became APEX, they put a monitor on my wall. Then, when that was out-dated, Vivint came in and put a monitor on my wall.

    I called Vivint's customer service when I had to change the batteries on my thermostat in the hallway. I felt awfully dumb, but I could not remove the plate off of it to put in the batteries, and the young lady that I spoke to walked me through that, which I thought was nice. Also, a young man came and put in a battery for my smoke alarm way back. When they came and install my new monitor, everything has been good.

    This was the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I suggest anyone who is looking to order the service beware that if you have to cancel they don’t care what the circumstance is and will charge you for the entire 2 to 3 years that you signed the contract. For in my case it is over $2000 and I had no idea that this was going to be the case after going through a divorce and selling my home. No help at all and have to continue to pay this payment for the next two years. Totally unheard of. All who are interested in this product please read everything before signing with this company.

    I was very excited about the installation of my security system. The person I spoke to on the phone was nice and well informed when setting up my appointment. He assured me that the technician would explain everything and show me all of the features. However, that was not the case. As I have never had a security system, I was unsure what to expect and had no clue what I was doing. The technician did not help and just seemed ready to get it done and leave. Because of his poor demonstration, I set off my own alarm and couldn’t even figure out how to get it off a few days later.     Vivint bought out the company that we were with before. They've been our security service provider for five years and, at this point, we’re pleased with them. They provided the thing that we have on our front door and we haven’t had any trouble with their customer service at all. The installers have been to the house a couple of times and they were very nice and knowledgeable. They came on time, put the equipment in, and cleaned up after themselves. It was pleasant with them. We had a new panel installed and I’m comfortable with it. The app was easy to understand and I’m happy with it. I like the part that Vivint’s service is hooked up to the fire department. That’s a benefit that some of the other security companies don’t have. We also have the smoke detectors. So, hopefully we’re covered. We’ve done what we can and I don’t worry about anything now.

    I bought a house that Vivint already serviced even before my purchase. They asked if I was satisfied and I fairly was. I upgraded almost everything when I moved in and I installed an outdoor camera just recently. Dealing with their people has been absolutely fine. The gentlemen who did the installation was pretty good and knowledgeable. But the equipment itself is made a little bit on the cheap side. It’s plastic so when you try to adjust the camera to have a different field of view, you have to be very careful and you have to play with it a little bit to get it where you want it. If you move it without loosening it all the way, it would strip. When you try to get it right where you want it then you tighten it back up, it would move again.

    There are also little things that never really got ironed out that Vivint said they would take care of. When the home was built, it originally had ADT and it was also wired as well as wireless. I keep getting popups saying that there is a need to install batteries in the window in this room and that room. When the gentleman came out the last time and installed the camera, he put a new battery in the main area where all the wiring is. He told me that the problem won't happen again but I’m still getting popups for that. Other than those, the system works. I've had Vivint's system for about four and a half years now and it's been an all right experience.

    I have service at 2 different properties. 1 in Louisiana and 1 in California. At both properties, I have had issues with sensors not working properly since service was begun. Calls to customer service result in me having to service my own system at my home, taking covers off, resetting sensors and alarms only to have true exact same issue happen again later in the day. Having to reset sensors twice a day, every day for the past two weeks is ridiculous and unacceptable. Plus the fact that for 4 days, I was not home with a sensor not registering. So someone could have accessed my home while I was gone and no one would have responded.

    The Vivint reps happened to be all down here in our area and a neighbor told me about it. One of the little boys sold us the system and we became good friends with him. And the installation went well. The crew came here in the afternoon and installed everything, and by 8:00, they were finished and gone. So far, I like the alarm system and the house protection. We like that we can dial into the house and look at things to know if our garage door is open or close.

    When we leave our home and turn on the system, we can talk to our little dog who we are very attached to while we're on the highway. Also, our doorbell camera does a great job. So the system worked out well. The only problem I had with Vivint is they were so far away. You call them and they try to go through steps to get the system back up. It presented a problem, and finally, they end up having to send somebody out here. In fact, we had a problem with the Wi-Fi because we were on AT&T Wi-Fi. The boy who took care of us realized we were having a problem, so he got a device and added it onto our Wi-Fi. Now we have no problems. We've also got through in Gulfport, which is very close so when we have a problem, they come over and take care of it. We like the Vivint system all the way and use it all the time. In fact, I've recommended Vivint to several people already.
