Found that after services were sold that many were not all available due to our current internet speed. At this point we have incurred the additional costs and inconvenience associated with getting a new provider installed and are now awaiting to have some of the remaining services sold to be installed, with no certainty of success.

Great service. Friendly people. Price could be better, I'm paying more than what I paid for ADT. Video is cool, but it runs slow on my phone and the app sometimes shuts down by itself. The volume on the smart hub is all the way up and we can barely hear it sometimes. Could be louder for bigger houses.

I was not given an option to schedule an appointment. They came to my home so late my daughter was asleep and there was all this noise going on until 11 pm!!!! Way too late for an installation. Very very upset about the time. I would rather take time off of work to do that but it was either do it now or get charged an installation fee. Ridiculous. So dissatisfied.

My sales representative Lucas was very personable, very knowledgeable and helpful. He came across as being very honest and trustworthy so he was easy to talk to you about what I really needed and a security system. My installer, Zach, was super friendly, but also 100% professional as he was doing his job. I never felt uncomfortable or felt in any way that he didn’t completely know what he was doing. If he ran into a snag, he called his supervisor and got it figured out quickly. VERY pleased with the service from start to finish. I will definitely be recommending to others.

Just had a slimy Vivint "sales rep" at my front door to attempt to sell me a bundle w/ AT&T since Xfinity is "so bad & expensive". He insisted that AT&T Fiber - which is the ONLY way you're going to get anywhere near 100+ meg besides Xfinity - WAS available in my neighborhood. He KNEW this for a fact because HE had it in HIS neighborhood only 6 miles away from me. WHAT A DUFUS!!!
So just to make him look even MORE stupid & slimy than he already was, I got a phone & called AT&T on speakerphone, to order Fiber internet - which of course, we were both told promptly it was NOT available here. (I have well over 3 decades in Gov IT experience, so obviously I already knew it is NOT here, & probably will NOT be in the near future). BUT that still didn't stop him from still trying to get me to sign up. I guess I do have to give him a bit of credit for his chutzpah. I would NEVER, EVER, get service from this company now, if THEY paid for the service!!!

Both services people that came to the house we're very professional and knew what they where talking about. The equipment so far is very easy to use and works great. The menu for the system is good but it will not link up to my nest system that I already had.

Very Happy with the Entire process. The cameras are Great Quality and the Service is Exceptional. I feel Safe at night and when I'm away from Home being able to watch over my family and home is the best thing ever. The settings make it very easy also.

My initial experience with the sales team and tech team was amazing. But when I contacted the help desk because my Nest is not connected to my panel. After about 15 min there was no outcome. The rep sent me to a link and then disconnected the chat. My Nest is still not configured to my panel.

Salesman very knowledgeable about the system and procedures. From start of pitch to completion of install was about 3 hours. The company covered the cost of installation and had a payment plan for the equipment so there was no money out of pocket.

Jacob, our sales guy, was great! Couldn't believe installation happened that night. Very happy with system so far. Taylor, our install guy, was also awesome and very professional and good at what he does. Only thing we didn't like was the high pressure of doing everything so quickly. What I was told would take 5 min for information took about 3-4 hrs for total. Took up our whole evening and wasn't planning on that. I know it is because we bought the system but just didn't feel like we had time to digest anything. Glad it turned out that we really liked it but I felt like my head was still spinning the next day.

I really like the Vivint security system because it’s so easy to use. No need for any training. The sales person and the installer were both super friendly and helpful. I feel a lot more secure in home. The cameras I hope will deter any potential break ins.

We had a great experience with Vivint. Our sales rep explained everything to us very well and I was surprised when he said a tech would install everything that day. When the techs arrived they were very polite and courteous and they were so nice to my dog. They did a great job and really helped us understand how to use our new security system. Very satisfied with my alarm system and the ease of the App. The new doorbell is better than my Ring Doorbell was and the new keypad is much easier to navigate than my last security system. I also like the microphone and night vision on the outdoor camera.

Love the garage remote and updated lock with PIN capability. However, installation of thermostats has completely rendered my air conditioning as useless. I will definitely be canceling this service. Installers did not leave until after 11 and I was shocked to learn after 9 PM installation would occur that night. More advance notice would have been greatly appreciated.

When asking questions no one has any answers or any idea of why I'm calling. Had I a choice I would de-install the system and use a competitor's product.

I had a perfect experience with Vivint. The gentleman that came out to work with me was kind, knowledgeable and seem to really care about my experience with Vivint. You are very lucky to have him! I was very hopeful about Vivint home security when the Rep spoke with me about the service, however my thoughts have changed. I think Vivint should provide a better training session for the Rep; otherwise, the Rep will provide false promise to gain our business. This is not ethical at all. Example 1: The representative (Denton TX region) stated that any service calls made would be free of charge if there was a problem with the equipment. This was a big selling point for us; we had ADT in the past and service calls were billable. However, we had a problem with window sensors in our home and was told we have a $45 visit fee. Example 2: Our representative also stated that a technician could move our wired Ring doorbell to our side door and asked us to talk about this with the technician. The technician said this is not a service technicians will do for free.
Additionally, when the technician came to our home I expressed concerns that with the sensor zones in our house were not labeled and we did not know the problem. The technician stated that he would label the zones, however he did not do so and when I called customer service she could not help me to identify the areas of concern. Through this experience, I feel the company is more concerned about making money than about helping the customers.

The gentleman that came to my house did a great job. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my camera and other things are located. His main focus was “Don’t worry about the inconvenient of the power plugs. I will work around everything! I will make it to your likings.” I loved that he made sure everything was set up properly with my app on my phone and walked me through every step. Because of him I’m happy and satisfied and now I can enjoy my house without having to be worried about what’s going to happen when I’m gone. Thanks Vivint.

Vivint door bell and camera - I am very pleased with my Vivint security system. In fact, I have already recommended it to one of my friends. The installer is a gem. First of all, the guys who showed up at my house were walking door to door in the god damn rain bothering people. What the hell? I was finishing my walk with my dog and they just started coming at me asking me questions. Annoyed that we were in the rain, I was kind and offered these people into my home. They began their sales pitch and often referred to "peace of mind" and how these extra gadgets in addition to my easy, Simplisafe System, would add so much more to my daily life.
I was doubtful the entire time, but agreed to a free trial which I made them extend to a month. They will only offer three days, which is stupid. Then they said, "oh we have a tech coming right now!" and I'm like "what? I told you I wanted to think this over!" Yeah, they will rush you into something without letting you learn any information about it for yourself. The tech guy showed up and wanted to drill holes in my walls and that is where I lost it. I said that it was all too pushy and ridiculous for the customer to experience. The guys who came in said they knock on people's doors until 9 pm. On a work day! That is crazy to me. The 25-year-old child sales rep claims I am not locked into a contract since I did not have the system installed. He better be right or there will be hell to pay.

Deserves zero stars, but it won't let me rate it without at least one! I have had Vivint at my office location and my residence for several years. I purchased them at nearly the same time and was unaware of what I was getting into and thus felt compelled to write this review. I am very familiar with their systems and bottom line is they are not dependable for securing your property and loved ones. If you are looking for something to keep you protected and informed 100% of the time, this is not the system. I have $1000's of dollars of cameras and equipment at both of my locations and none of it, ZERO, works as advertised.
SECURITY & DOOR BELL CAMERAS: The cameras disconnect on their own almost daily and it is often different cameras so there is no rhyme or reason. They have a maximum load on their camera system of 5-6 units depending on your internet connection (we have the fastest fiber available 1000 down and 300 up, they claim they need 6 up per camera so we are far exceeding any of their requirements). Thus, for most residential properties they can't cover all the sides of the property leaving and have a doorbell and possibly indoor cameras as well as the system won't handle it. You will have significant vulnerability so why have a system that can't keep you 100% protected?
Even when they tried to "hard wire" the cameras in to prevent this; which really isn't hard wiring, they just put a small amplifier plug into another outlet in your house. This plug (ethernet to the plug instead of electrical wiring) takes up more space and looks terrible. They claim it uses your electrical wiring in your house once plugged in to improve signal, however it did not improve any operational abilities of my cameras and they still drop off daily.
A huge frustration is I can't tell you how many times I have left town and needed to let friends and family in to feed animals and check on my residence and the cameras and system is down. Worse is I can't see who is at the door to communicate and grant access if needed. One of the biggest flaws is you cannot reboot the camera itself remotely. If your camera goes down while you are out of town, it suggests to reboot the panel remotely which you can do (AND WILL DO ALL THE TIME WITH THIS SYSTEM) from the phone app. Once rebooted after 20 minutes the cameras will still be offline.
Next suggestion is to go to the camera itself, climb up the ladder yourself and unplug it or push a tiny button on the back to reset it. Obviously, this can only be done if you are at home so good luck keeping an eye on your house when out of town when this happens. Who really wants to drag tall ladders out and climb up them every few days to keep their property secure? Vivint will come out and do this for you a week or two later when you can get an appointment only to have them go down again hours or days later. Just be prepared to repeat the above process all the time if you invest in this system.
After nearly two years of constant calls, multiple associates spending hours searching for issues, as well as several replacements they still cannot make the system work as intended. I have had all kinds of area heads and installer managers standing around my house for hours talking to each other and calling their techs unable to figure out how to keep them connected. Their own team can't figure it out so I find it incredibly hard to believe they don't have a larger connectivity issue as a standard. They have even sent it to their developer/programmer division in the Midwest with no additional solution. Another flaw is the doorbell camera has zero adjustability, so angles and direction of view can't be changed. Only about 50% of the time does the doorbell work to where you can use the app and talk to the person. Most of the time the person has long walked off before I can communicate with them.
Door Locks & Sensors: The door locks and window sensors batteries drain nearly every month creating costly battery replacements. These are not standard batteries either, so be prepared to buy a bunch of costly watch type batteries, as well as odd size batteries of several types and keep them on hand. It is not a one size fits all system so keeping up with your battery inventory is part of the deal here!
Panel: There are regular panel upgrades as well as false alerts as others have mentioned. I have owned three different versions of their panels over the last several years. For the most part, the panels get nicer and easier to use. However, no matter what panel I have the different components dropping offline never improve. Even when I have paid to "UPGRADE" some of those components at the same time. You would think they would have a better connectivity to their products, but nothing ever changes. Pretty to look at, not 100% functional.
Thermostats: No idea what the deal is with the NEST thermostat connections. They are constantly offline and reconnecting. Recently we even received a written notice from Vivint stating something was changing and that they would keep us informed. However, we had the previous Vivint thermostats too and they had the same issues. We "upgraded" to the NESTS at our own expense of course and still have disconnectivity issues. We just walk to them and do them manually now and have nearly given up on their use with the panel and phone app altogether.
I could go on and on, but you get the point. You better be very tech savvy and be willing to deal with a SIGNIFICANT amount of down time. This will create issue for you meeting their service people repeatedly at your residence, repeating your issues to their team (chat and phone associates) and repeating your story over and over. This will take up a bunch of your own personal time so BE WARNED. The most critical issue here is my family security and home protection and this system flat out fails at that aspect.
The only reason I am still with them today is I have invested a significant amount of money into their system. I have tried repeatedly to get reimbursed some or all of my investment with them and walk away, but as expected, once you buy it and give them $60 per month you own it. You will not get what you paid for! My suggestion is to stay away from Vivint altogether, but if you just have to try it don’t buy too much. Start small with a couple pieces and see if it works! I suspect immediately after the install it will all look and work great but give it a month or two and see how many times it fails you.
As far as customer service, I have no real complaints as the people have always been pleasant on the phone so that would be my positive comment. However, after years of not being able to fix their own system, and their own acknowledgement that it doesn’t work properly at my residence; you would think they would take it back and refund me as a good business practice. However, they just keep wanting to replace parts and pieces and making trips with no results. If I could give it all back today I would. One of the worst investments I have made hands down. 3 cameras down today at my residence again today! Same old story... BUYER BEWARE!

My experience with Vivint has been less than professional in every aspect. The first tech they sent to my house didn't finish the installation, broke his drill and instead of just coming back the next day sit in my dining room for 45+ minutes waiting on another tech to show up. When the second tech showed up he still continued just sitting while she installed two more devices herself. They both left that night without finishing my install which was fine because we scheduled an appointment for the following day.
The next day came and no one called. No one showed for that day's appointment so I contacted Vivint. Well come to find out my tech was fired. I was very upset so my sales guy said he was gonna stop by and talk with me which he never did. Rescheduled my appointment for the next Monday and no one showed up. Called Vivint, scheduled another appointment for that Tuesday. An hour after the fact of my appointment I called and they finally got someone here. The tech they sent didn't have the equipment to finish the job so I had to get again, make another appointment which you guessed it they never showed for that appointment either.
So I rescheduled again no one showed. Then I called and yet again no show. After several calls and finally canceling my service because I'm going into week number 3 of my system not being completely installed. I am now no show no call number 8. Yes that's right. I said 8. I can't make this crap up. If I could give anyone advice when it comes to Vivint it would be if they ever darken your door step slam that door and run!!! Worst and most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with!

Since day one I have had problems with this company. After install, I have had problems with faulty equipment. When I call for tech support, I was told they do not have tech su5 for my "podunk" town. I have tried for months to get out of contract because I am paying top dollar for equipment that does not work. All they say to me is that they are sorry but they do not have tech to send. This is a breach of contract and I want out of this unprofessional and disrespectful company. They promised me many things upfront and as soon as the install was over... the old hook them in and now your stuck took over. I leave my message wherever I can to save people from being taken from those company. Buyer beware!!!! I am being forced to give them 1 star but I actually give them 0 because they are frauds.

Poor customer service. It’s impossible to connect with someone over the phone to get an issue resolved. Had an issue with a camera for over a year. Finally got a tech out and it worked for a couple days. They stopped again.

Purchased in 2014. Heard random open connection from control panel, asking who was there cut the connection off. 2017 alarm panel went off for no reason, tech support no help, company refused to send someone to look at it without me purchasing a new system. System dead since then. Company refused to work with me. Burning party tonight for all associated products as contract expired at 12 am this morning, 5/10/19. I will have to admit that when it was semi-working, it was unusable from the beginning. To view the camera remotely on a PC or tablet, it would take up to 5 minutes for the image to come through and it was a horrible grainy image to boot. This company is not worth your hard earned money. Please look elsewhere.

I would RUN from Vivint and never look back! Listen, I'm easy to get along with and hard to offend but, Vivint managed to really piss me off! I have a 770 credit score. Vivint needed to pull my credit in order to process the $1985 equipment order. I'm SO GLAD they totally screwed things up!! I let my poorer judgment follow Internet advice and figured Vivint is "The Best". Far, far, far from it. I now have excellent service and support with Safe Touch for HALF (same package) that Vivint offers. But here's how they saved me by being screw-ups. They ran my credit, after just going through my mortgage closing, okay?
Idiot buffoons tell me "it's not your score but, you have an over 90 days late". No I didn't! Now my credit report is 10 points lower from their hard inquiry and, they just said, "See ya!". Well screw you Vivint! I'm GLAD it didn't work out because you're 100% higher than Safe Touch and your customer service SUCKS! They refuse to remove the hard hit on my report, and they're incompetent liars.

I requested for smart home service and it was installed as scheduled. After only 8 days, I was unable to monitor my home or lock and unlock my door on my phone. I always been notified whenever I have a visitor on my phone but unable to see what's going on in my house or at the door. I made several calls to customer service but they were unable to help me. Over two weeks now, nothing has been done till now. I won't refer anyone to this company, it's a scam.

Updated on 05/03/2019: I have had nonstop issues with The equipment and Vivint hasn't been able to fix it. I have taken time off work for service calls where the tech refused to replace the malfunctioning equipment that was not able to be fixed. I have requested to return the equipment for a refund but was told they would not refund my money. I just want my money back for useless equipment and monthly fee for service that was not provided.
Original Review: Vivint equipment constantly malfunctions. We have had service techs out several times and they have been unable to fix the issues and refuse to replace the malfunctioning equipment. The equipment and service are expensive and unreliable. We had had several false alarms that frightened my dogs. Customer service is just as useless. I do not recommend this company.

I have had a few issues with my products but they have been able to resolve all of them. The customer service has been very friendly and professional and when I was incorrectly charged for something, they got it off my bill within 5 min of calling. The contracts can be tough but they now offer no-contract pricing and you pay all your equipment upfront. Overall I have been happy with my entire experience and have seen no reason to leave.

I have 3 thermostats in my house, which I can control from my pad. The doorbell camera is super nice. Using the pad, I control my thermostats, monitor my front porch, lock and unlock my front door, monitor for water leaks and glass breakage. I am fully satisfied with the equipment and prices. The technician was a true professional, he had my equipment installed in record time and instructed me on how to use all the equipment.

We have not had a pleasant experience with Vivint. Poor connectivity issues, our cameras go offline constantly so when away we are not able to view the cameras which is the entire purpose of having the system. We also got a package stolen off of our front porch and the doorbell camera did not capture any of it. The motion detection on the doorbell camera is terrible. The panel and the thermostats lose connection more often than not, I am rarely able to change the temperature through the Vivint app, which again defeats the purpose of having this system installed in our home. Totally not worth the $63/mo we pay.
These have been ongoing issues throughout our entire three years with Vivint. We've called in multiple times for the connectivity issues and it is still not resolved. A few times the representative attributed the loss of connection to bugs in their system updates, which is not the customer's problem at all, but we're still paying for the service, but not receiving what we pay for. I'm looking forward to canceling our subscription when our four year contract is up.

My Vivint system was installed 2 weeks ago and we are obsessed! My wife researched home security systems for over a month before deciding on Vivint. She was having terrible nightmares and was adamant that we get a security system even though our town is very safe. Best decision yet! Her nightmares are gone and we can watch the interior and exterior of our home while we are away. Also we got two element thermostats for free! The customer service is unbelievable!

Where do I start? I've had Vivint for over a year now. I've had nothing but trouble with the cameras going offline. They always go offline in the middle of the night. The most crucial times. One of the reasons I got Vivint. I've called several times. Even trying to cancel. If they send out a tech I need to pay. Can you imagine how much money I would have to drop on techs alone if they came out every single time? My neighbor's car got broken into last night and yep you guessed it, cameras were offline. Who know if the thief tried to break into our cars. I really wish Vivint would just honor all the things that the salesman said this system would do. As long as you have service with Vivint they say, "All equipment is covered." Yes it is but when you have to pay to have a tech come and fix it how is that being covered. I really want to like Vivint but at this point it's really difficult.

I have Vivint on a townhouse I own without any issue. So I decided to install their home security system at a home that I recently purchased and the customer service has been horrible. First, they could not complete the install on the original day and said they would come back in 2 days to finish it and they never came. So I set up a service call and they were supposed to show up between 8 am and 10 am and they never came (I stayed till 11). I called and complained and they gave me a weak apology. They set up another appointment for April 26th and gave me a window between noon and 4 pm. Again no one showed. And again a weak apology. I really hope they straighten this out because I thought they were a good company before this.

Been with Vivint for at least 12 years, the only problem I've had was the cheap alarm fobs. They keep cracking and breaking. I have had several replaced, now they want to charge 50 dollars for each replace fob. When talking with Vivint it's to no avail. They refuse to send anymore. They need to upgrade the FOB!

My modem/router was moved to improve the signal from the outside line to the inside. It necessitated that the Panel be moved to another outlet in the house since there were two breaker panels controlling the house wiring. Machael? did a superb job of reviewing, diagnosing and fixing the problem. It turned out that the Panel indeed needed to be moved to a different location and house outlet. You do not provide enough information to give a good review.

Lance (**) our agent who did our install was not only friendly but super knowledgeable on all the products that Vivint offered. This company is corrupt. Their only strength is taking money from customers. My mother's house burned in September 2017. The electric wires were fried and there was no electricity to the house. We never received a call from Vivint asking if there was a problem, they continued to bill a credit card and demanded more documentation than anyone else required to give us a deferment. We first thought we had canceled the service, but later when they started billing again, when we learned we had only been given a deferment.
They said they would refund money, but when I called them about no refund on my mother's credit card, I finally spoke to manager who told me the truth. The contract my mother signed cannot be canceled for a house fire. We are expected to get a new security system at our expense where she lives now or get someone to take over the contract. The time we were on deferment was added to the end of the contract and the "credit" they gave was only a credit on our account with them, not on the credit card. They intend to continue billing until 2022. No one we had previously talked to explained that we could not cancel the contract.
This company is very corrupt with customer service people who are uninformed or directed to withhold important facts about a contract, while appearing to be helpful to the customer. I always get transferred to a "customer loyalty" department. This is a joke. I would never, ever, ever use this company again or recommend it to anyone else. They feel entitled to make money off our misfortune and are grossly dishonest in trying to keep our money coming in.

I have had issues with my Vivint service since 2 weeks after installation. It has never worked properly. My outdoor camera has to be constantly reset. And it's not easy for me to get a ladder out to do so. Vivint can't connect to my panel. This means I can't play back any video footage. If something would happen... you couldn't replay it. The equipment was over $2000 so you'd think it was good quality... NOT!!! When signing up it's a 5 year contract so you cannot get out of it. They don't stand behind their products. If it needs fixed they want to to pay them to fix it. And it always needs fixed. It's a money pit.
When installing they added all these things that need to be plugged in. And it's all in 1 outlet. They also drilled holes into my walls to plug the outside camera in. If I would have seen what it would have taken to install their system I would have never done it. I don't know how they are allowed to continually sell a service that has so many negative issues.

Recently purchased a home that has this service. We couldn't get the air conditioner to turn on and the wall units won’t allow us to access anything. We called because well IT’S FREAKING HOT IN OUR HOUSE AND WE HAVE 3 KIDS. 2 of which have asthma. They would NOT tell us anything because we wouldn't sign up for their security system. **! YOU WANT TO MAKE ME PAY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE AIR CONDITIONING?? Handcuffed to baking in our new home or paying out the ** to show us how turn the air on???

Vivint charge me for something I didn't signed. The tech says it was just a survey. This is just a 10 days trial no charges. So after all the questions which was survey questions he wanted me to sign and put initials saying he asked me about the surveys. I asked him why do I have to sign. He said it's just for the survey. I said, "So where can I read and receive the contract?" They said it will be sent in the email.
I haven't read and signed any contract but they said I can't cancel. In three days after they installed the system the lock in the garage did not connect with the panel anymore. We tried to contact them and we can't get a hold. My husband contacted them and nothing then when we had a hold of them it was after the day the 10th day trial... I said we don't want the system anymore since it's not working really good.
She said we can't cancel unless we pay the things we installed... like why not? You guys just tricked us and used my signature from the survey ... that's forging. She said, "We will investigate and we will call you." It's almost 3 weeks and no call so I called them and they said, "You can't cancel it unless you pay the things." VIVINT IS WICKED. THEY TRICKED CUSTOMER SO THEY CAN MAKE MONEY OUT OF THEIR ** MATERIALS. Do not use Vivint. Do not use. We are going to report these **!!!

We listened and decided what the heck. It was a great deal, they were flexible. We got to custom pick what we wanted and could not be happier. I love the fact that my children can have their own codes to the door and when used it will automatically disarm the alarm.

Started out with a referral from my brother in law. Same night, I was "caught" at a Sam's club kiosk and the day came when one of the agents came to my house. Very clearly, I told him that I already have a person who I am working with but he put my name in the computer with his name in it. Before installation, I met with the person who was referred by my brother in law and the person from Sam's club called me in between and told me that he doesn't believe that how can the other person give me such a good deal.
Day of installation comes. Installer seems knowledgable but it's almost 11 pm and installation is still going on. Got a phone call from customer service from Vivint asking me if I was given any paperwork by the initial agent. Truly, neither of them had given it to me. I had to tell them, "yes" as I wanted this installer out of my house now, close to midnight.
After installation, my initial agent told my brother in law that he will not get referral as Vivint had taken his name out from my account. Made daily calls to Vivint to get the system to work correctly but eventually had to disconnect as they couldn't even figure out why the alarm will not sound when nobody is at home and the doors are opened. Wow. That's the most important part of security when you are away. Finally, I'm out of Vivint.

3 years ago Vivint installed their solar panels on my roof. They took pictures and send them to somebody out in Utah who looked at the picture and said my roof was structurally sound and couldn't handle the weight. Three years later my roof is sagging needs complete repair. I have to take a loan out for $30,000 and I'm on a limited income as 100% disabled veteran. The company consistently lies stahl's, blows you off. You can never talk to a supervisor, you will never get any straight answer from this company. Now the company says that my roof is structurally sound. Funny at the beginning they said my roof was structurally sound and now they're saying it's not after my structural engineer I hired reviewed the roof and wrote up a very bad report saying that the solar panel should never have been put on my roof that the roof was not structurally sound and could not bear the weight of New Jersey's snows.
Vivint also States in their last email to me that I allegedly agreed to the panels being put back on my roof. This is another lie. I never at no time agreed to their solar panels being put back up on my roof which they ruined. My Rafters were so cracked mold and mildew in the Attic I had to have the knee walls put in some were jacked up as much as five inches because the weight and Bone the trusses that much. Vivint does not care if you are a vet. They treat you tight something that a horse dropped on the street. If you're going to go with Vivint look elsewhere. Find an honest company that will treat you right and solve your problems.

After having Vivint way past the contract time I had noticed that they had raised my price so I had called to cancel. Without any notice that they were raising it. It has come to a point where I can no longer afford it. They had sent me an email that they were sorry to see me go. I have pictures of all the emails that they had sent me. I had just noticed as of today 4-14-19 they had deducted $52.39 from my checking account on 4-11-19. I will be going and speaking with the bank tomorrow about unauthorized charges.

I had a Vivint system installed in 2015. A contract was never signed. It was a challenge to have this company return to residence & complete initial installation. Response time was completely absent, customer service was not helpful. I was constantly told “we are short staffed.” How is this the Consumer’s responsibility? It is not.
This inferior service occurred in St. Louis, MO. I moved in late 2016. I had Vivint remove their equipment. I had the Tech Rep sign a document. This had been completed & followed up with an email. This company charged my CC, even though I sent monthly checks. They reported me to the credit bureau, which I will take action. My advice is to conduct due diligence on these companies. I did, however I am not sure if this aids one in the vetting process of installation performance, response time & competent customer service. There are certainly exemplary Security Systems on the market & service. I gave them one star, because at least one had to be checked. This company does not deserve one star. Hopefully others have had a positive experience. I will never utilize the services of this company again. Thank you.

I rated them Vivint a 3 because I had problems with my system takeover. 5 of my sensors are not taken over at this point and having to pay for additional sensors when I expected all of my sensors to be taken over from the last alarm company did not sit well with me. So I currently have windows in my house with no protection since the installation almost 3 weeks ago. In addition, my electrical room was left wide in a bit of a mess with the battery container left wide open, which means anyone can damaged wires and battery that is not protected. In addition, the power to the sensors that were taken over are not working at this point.
All this said Vivint has offered me sensors to cover the windows they were not able to take over and in addition I have a technician scheduled to come on Monday to help resolve my other concerns. I am looking forward to my outstanding issues being resolved. That all said I really like being able to monitor my home with the Vivint app and camera even when I'm not at home. I love the keyless lock with the keypad. I only wish the camera was smaller and more discreet. The camera is angled to the left of my front door onto the driveway and not directly to the front of my house. I would have preferred to be able to see in front of my house when the camera is live. Overall I enjoy the Smart home system but I would like all my issues resolved so I feel as secure I was before I switched to Vivint.

The system worked initially but then it started to glitch. We had someone come out and fix the panel and camera angles and it worked fine after that until recently when the app started to glitch a lot. Playback hardly works now. My door lock stopped working and it took over a month and multiple calls which took hours of my life to finally get resolved. I was assured I wouldn't be charged anything but I was charged shipping. I contacted Vivint and they said notes were not made on the shipping fee being waived and did nothing about it. I would love to cancel but I would have to pay out the rest of the contract which is huge money. I talked to neighbors and they have competing systems that are far cheaper, offer more, and are better quality. Do not go with Vivint!! Thanks.

I signed a contract with APX security which was later acquired by VIVINT. I was notified by VIVINT about this ownership change. The original contract I had with APX transferred to VIVINT and expired after several years. No new contract was ever signed by me. I paid VIVINT on a month to month basis for several years after that. I called them about getting a new wall security console and was told that in order to upgrade I would have to sign a new contract that would run for several more years. I decline this offer as I knew I would be selling my house before the end of the purposed new contract.
I sold my house and move to another state. Last week I check my credit rating with TransUnion and found a collection notice from a collection agency in Orem, Ut for $800.00. I assume this is the balance for a non-existent contract with VIVINT. I contacted TranUnion, Perfect Collection, VIVINT and the State Attorney General's office of California. I will pursue legal action if this collection notice is not removed from my credit history.

I've been waiting for 2 months for a tech to come and repair my doorbell. At first, they mailed me a screw and a screwdriver instructing me to fix it. That did not work, the wrong parts were sent. After 2 hrs on the phone troubleshooting they scheduled a tech to come but then when no one never showed up I called and they said there were none available. This has been a miserable experience. I have a stalker and my doorbell hasn't worked for 2 months. I would be better off replacing w/ the ring. The worst customer service I’ve ever received. I read reviews about terrible service and disregarded it so shame on me. I have requested to cancel five different times and they refused to cancel my service even though I am not in a contract. I get a call from somebody different every day asking what they can do to keep my business and I tell them I just want to canceled and they still refuse to cancel. Thank you.

I’ve had my system for over a year and I utilize everything Vivint has to offer. My camera quality is great, the thermostat is very clean and efficient, and the response to the alarm is second to none. One day I set the panic to see what happened from the app and I was immediately contacted from Vivint first from the keypad speaker, then a follow up phone call, and then to my surprise I received a follow up email as well. All within 2 minutes of the alarm sounding. I love the technology and I trust Vivint to protect my home and family while I’m away.

I had to ask 3 times for Autumn to finally schedule a service to fix my offline camera. We had already tried troubleshooting it for 20 minutes, but for some reason she wouldn’t schedule someone to come out until I said I have been very clear about getting a technician to come out. Please send one. She was rude and wouldn’t listen to me.

I’ve had Vivint’s security system for 15-16 months and there’s been one problem or equipment failure after another. Replacing cameras, cameras constantly going offline, panel failure and replacement twice, door lock failure and replacement and each time spending hours on end performing troubleshooting as if I were a Vivint employee. When you call in for service the Vivint employees will tell you they can’t send out a technician until they complete the troubleshooting which can literally take hours with no resolve. I’ve experienced this on multiple occasions. Do yourself a favor and run from this company!!!

Vivint's customer service is very poor!! I called last week to sort out a billing issue as my amount does not make sense with the tax rate. The kid on the phone told me that he could not help me. When I tried to explain the cost of the equipment, plus sales tax, to show why my bill was inaccurate, he said he did not understand math.

The technicians that installed my system need some more training on how to install their product.. I could tell they were getting frustrated and were having a hard time with everything. I had a camera installed on my back yard and the technician drilled three holes to run the wire inside and didn't even use a single one of them and didn't bother to cover them up either. I contacted the sales rep about my problems and he said he should be able to compensate me for the installation but I haven't heard back from him..

Service was okay, but we realized too expensive. When our contract ended, we called to end contract. That day they immediately charged us for another month. An email was so called required by Law, according to the customer service rep. We emailed and not trusting Vivint, we did a stop payment with our bank. Three months later, we are still fighting about not owing them any more money! Not a trustworthy company!

Telephone support staff was fine, installer/technical support was fine, but the system cameras still do not record movement consistently. Tried to adjust size and sensitivity settings without success. I put both cameras back to default settings, but still no recordings of any kind, even though I had several vehicles passing through both viewing areas within a three hour period. No recordings over three days, even as I drive to work and return home, newspaper gets delivered, mail delivery daily, neighbors drive past multiple times. Images show on live, but no recording. I understand I am to wait a few days to see if the electronic settings somehow start to function properly?? However, not sure about the alarm system as we have not yet had an intrusion. It might be working properly, I hope. Timely correction of this issue would be most appreciated.

After a rocky start, Aron was my installer today and did an exceptional job. We walked through the house first, he gave me advice on the best way to secure this house and make the most of the product I had chosen. I found the paperwork easy to follow that I was signing, the time he took to make sure I knew how to work everything and get it set up on my phone made the process very seamless.

About seven years ago, the reps from Vivint came to my yard when I was working on one of my cars. I purchased a package from them as I wanted my family to be protected a bit more. Vivint's techs installed the system and everything went okay. I like the cell phone connectivity feature wherein I can do everything on my phone.

I live in North Las Vegas so having a security system is a must. Vivint came to the house and the guy was a little scary looking. He had a lot of tattoos and had his hair pulled up. But he was fabulous and I felt comfortable with him in my home. The installation went quick. I like all of the features. My camera has fallen down twice with the cat but it still works.

The only issue that I have with Vivint is that the billing doesn't come consistently on a day. It seems like when we get the bill, it's literally three to five days before it's due. So as soon as we get the bill, we have to pay it or they would call us to say that we were late. Vivint should send me the bill 10 days in advance and I would pay for it. Other than that, we haven't had any issues with their service. I would recommend Vivint.

The gentleman that came to connect the fire alarm portion of the service was amazing. He had to rewire the entire system, as there were only 6 zones and in actuality, we needed 12 zones. There were a couple of things that were not even hooked up as a zone to secure. Our zones were did not identify the correct portion that was being tested. Ex: back door and kitchen window were zoned opposite of each other. When back door was open, it would say kitchen window was open. Although it took a really long time, we were very glad that the gentleman that came fixed the system completely.

It's been almost two years since I started using Vivint's home security system. I initially got the system because of their no long-term contract. The installation went very well and the guy who came out was super nice. He stayed for a good while to make sure that everything was set up correctly. I was really happy with him. The features that I have on my system are cool and serve its purpose. It allows me to control everything from my phone and so it works out well. Also, while I've had limited interactions with Vivint's reps, if something comes up, they definitely reach out and are responsive. Overall, I have had a good experience with Vivint.

I am not pleased with the way my service claim was handled. I had to wait a week before the claim was ever processed. The service tech's leg went through my ceiling. After waiting a week then I am going to have to do all of the leg work with finding a contractor to fix the whole in my ceiling. I am so disappointed. Also, the representative that I spoke with over the phone did not explain everything clearly when it came to sensors and extra costs.

Salesperson gave me one price. When Installer finished it was a different price. Nothing they could do. He to call customer service. After about an hour I finally got the price I was promised. Salesman also told me all my existing sensors would be covered for 30 days in case battery dies or any other problems. 2 weeks later one of my sensors goes bad and I call customer service and they tell me there's nothing that can do. Terrible experience. I would not recommend them to anybody. They promise you things then dont deliver when you need them.

Vivint is a good company. When I had the program, I called the customer service and they made an appointment for a local guy. Then he was there and he said that the thermostat was fine. But it wasn’t working for three weeks. I tried to call him again but he never answered. I called the 1-800 number again and they told me that they would send me a new thermostat device. They sent it and I installed it with their customer service guys. Then it works fine. I had to deal with the customer service for two months to have the thermostat device replaced. But most of the time, working with the Vivint reps is good.

I am highly unsatisfied with this company and its “services”. On several occasions, customer service has been rude and quite frankly unhelpful. If you want more service or support it’ll come at a price and even though your issues won’t resolve. Short term solutions for a long term contract!? Go figure. The products are cheaply made thus is evident in poor quality door bell, short range motion sensor and the keypad door knob is even worse. Your door bell motion camera only picks up as the visitor is right in front of it and if you move fast enough in the door, no notification at all.
My car was broken into and though I can see my driveway if I access my doorbell camera, I wouldn’t know unless I watch my panel or phone all night. I could get a garage motion camera and could afford it but I have 0 confidence in this company and wish I never entered a contract with them. My keypad door knob is hanging off and I was instructed how to use a drill and reassemble to mount. Also if you want to enter your door code at night you have several options to view the numbers: flashlight on phone, pray your porch light is on or memorize where the numbers are. Keypad does not light up. Doorbell: They will sell you that live videos load faster than ring=lie. Want detections of visitors before they're on your porch, it won’t happen.
Solution given: put the doorbell somewhere else further from door but needs wiring. Customer Service is serve yourself. Cheap sponsors, I could get from bargain store. If you are looking for peace of mind, this is not it. Since my car was broken into, I cannot sleep and often wake through out night to look out window, make sure Home is armed and doors are locked. I WANT OUT. I want my old keypad and ring doorbell back.

We moved into a house that had Vivint at the time and we had the system for two years. We recently canceled since we didn’t need to use a security system and the last person I talked to was very helpful, but we had a hard time going through the cancellation process. We canceled in November but we kept getting billed. I just talked to somebody two days ago who finally took care of it and we’re hoping to get a check from Vivint for about $300 to make up for the extra billing that we have been going through. The service is great, but we had to threaten them with a lawyer so that we could get our money back from being overbilled after we canceled.

On a couple of occasions, we were debating a similar product to Vivint. And when the reps from Vivint came, it was good timing since we were thinking about it anyway. The sales rep was good and informative. The people from Vivint installed the system. They came in, explained it all, and within a day or two, they came back to do the installation. The installation was all right away. I would recommend Vivint. I like their mobile app and use it. The security is nice, but I probably use the app more for some of the HVAC controls. We also have a camera.

Most of this experience has been about dealing with lies. I was lied to about them only doing a 'soft' credit check, lied to about the first month would be free, lied to about the monthly charge of the financed equipment and then the damage to my exterior doors and door frames. I would not have allowed large holes to be drilled in the doors and frames. Maybe there are reputable companies out there but this isn't it! It's going to be removed ASAP.

My son has a system from Vivint. I signed up with them because I could view what was going on with the cameras. Everything with Vivint is great. However, I don’t know if it’s the setting in the panel or my air conditioner, but I can’t get it to cool. Also, when they’re selling it, they’re selling one thing at a time, and you don’t know how much it’s gonna cost. So you don’t get to have that thought process in with your decision. If I had known, I would’ve gotten two more cameras on the outside, but I never could get a price of how much extra would be like I was locked into it. That’s the only thing I didn't like. Even so, since having the system from Vivint, my sense of security is much better.

The agent was helpful with the false alarm. However, they logged off before answering the additional question I had. I figured it out on my own after by looking at settings. It ended up being triggered by the fact that we had our setting to auto arm to stay when anyone pressed lock on the keypad. So, when I left to run errands and my partner went outside the alarm set off.

I would like to say that everything from the initial sales cold call to our house up through the installation. The garage door opener we asked to also have was not in stock. We scheduled to have one installed the following week. The day before installation we received a call from the service department saying that the part was not in and asking if we could reschedule. That wasn't a problem so we made it for the following week. This same scenario happened once again the exact same way. So on the third install of the garage door opener we never received a confirmation call previously and the tech failed to show up to the house. We received no further contact from your company. After this point I called our initial sales rep and informed him that this is the nice call and here's what happened... He made some calls and had a tech here for the install within the hour.

Vivint is a great service. But their door-to-door knockers were too abrupt. They came so late at night and I had been working all day. I told them to come back at another time but they were pushy. But beyond that, every time my alarm goes off, Vivint is on it. They saved our house from being broken into in October of last year. I was at work and they called me and said I had a glass break alarm. I thought my dog just knocked the lamp off and it was a false alarm. Two days later, I went outside and saw that someone had split my fence in half. So, someone came to my side door and that was where my dog went off and knocked the lamp over and set the alarm off. Vivint does what they're supposed to do and that’s why we haven't looked for anybody else.

I went for Vivint looking at their price and their equipment. The sales rep explained everything to me and seemed to be very good. I have the doorbell camera, along with the panel that shows the front door and the thermostat. So far, the service has been pretty good. I had an issue with uploading my Wi-Fi server, my modem, a couple times, but it was just because I changed it. It kept dropping the connection from the panel. I had to call a few times to have them reset it. It hasn’t done it lately, though.
The installation was also pretty quick. The prior service I had had a lot of things hooked up, so it reduced the clutter. It looks much better aesthetically. I like the camera feature as well and as far as the phone features is concerned, I love that -- the fact that you can check and make sure your alarm is set when you’re away from home, the doors locked and things of that nature. I like the fact that you can set it to lock and unlock at a certain time.

I have been with Vivint over a year and have been having issues with one door lock and one panel. I have called multiple times but can only get routed to an out of country 800 rep who can only read me my own manuals. I have put in three separate requests for help to no avail. Work orders have been made and not filled. I have called and even driven to the nearest Vivint offices. All calls are not returned and the location in Calgary, Alberta had no office. This is a company that has no regard for customer needs and I will be switching providers.

Vivint was the first one who called me back when I posted online that I was looking for a security system. Then they came out the next day. They were on the spot and was quick to answer. Also, their installers were great. They explained how everything worked and they furnished every need that I had at that time. The service package includes a doorbell camera. It also tells me that the doors are open and shut in the back and front, and the alarms go off if I've locked it and it is opened.
I had also used the inside camera. My husband had Alzheimer’s and some brain damage, and we were afraid he'd just walk out the door, and the inside camera enabled me to watch him and make sure where he was. But the situation has changed with my husband and that feature isn’t necessary. However, I haven't been in a big hurry to do something about it because all that security is very comforting. I totally appreciate it. It came in handy many times when my husband would go out in the night and the alarm would go off and they would call me. And I could catch him before he got very far. If anybody has that problem, Vivint fits the bill.

My installer was great. He was so quick that I didn't see when he installed my motion detector... Only wish I had because it was not installed where I would have preferred. My other issue has been observed since the installation. My driveway camera is not recording any motions and my doorbell motions do not post until much later...some the next day! Also, I found out from a friend that recently had their Vivint installed that there is a device called Resolution which would have made my window sensors compatible without having to pay anything additional. I really would like to have the Resolution device. Also I do not care for the way the door lock is powered. It requires Double-A batteries, which will become expensive over time.

I have this security system for almost two years. It needed a reboot at least once a month to avoid false alarms and panel lockouts when you simply can’t disable the alarm. The best their imbecile support can offer is a hard reboot when you need to unplug the system, take a screwdriver, open the panel and disconnect the internal battery. Very helpful advise when you are on vacation 10 hours flight from your supposedly protected home...

Vivint had adequate pricing. What they were selling, technology-wise, is something that I was interested in and they do same day installs. The rep came out to the house and installed it that same evening when they did door to door. We've had the system going on three years now and they’re very knowledgeable about their system. Every time that I’ve had any issues with them, their technical support and customer service has been great. You can get ahold of them via the website through a chat feature, if you need to. I got everything that they’ve got to offer and I’m happy with the service. It is an industry standard, but I wish that their camera systems would be a little bit more affordable. But if you shop around, then pretty much all the providers were kinda within that same ballpark. Vivint has been pleasant. They have lived up to everything that they’ve told me they would. So I'm satisfied.

I purchased a service package and I have one camera inside, two motion detectors, and the basic three doors and three windows. My alarm has been set off, usually by my dogs, and I got phone calls and I let them know that we didn’t need any response to the house.

It has gone pretty good with Vivint. I’m due for a discount because my older brother had it and he was paying $35 and I’ve been paying 50 something. They told me I had to wait a certain amount of years or something, then I could call. The only thing right now is I might need a battery because my thing is going, “Toot-toot, toot-toot.” But it’s still working. I would recommend them good.

When the Vivint system works, it works really well. We like it, but we just have problems with our cameras not connecting sometimes. It might have to do with our router, we’re still kinda troubleshooting. We usually only check on our phone, and we like being able to tell when someone’s at the door. One night, our smoke alarms went off and they called right away. So, that kinda stuff gives us peace of mind.

The Vivint software was a little glitchy at first, but it gradually got better in the last six months. One of the technical people I talked to said that the business had grown to where it was a little much for their service to adequately take care of, and they apparently made an upgrade back when service started getting really good. I’ve had to replace the wireless router since they put it in and they did it, no problem. Everything seems to work okay.

I have been extremely disappointed with Vivint. There are some positives with this system (mostly the doorbell camera). However, I have had way too many false alarms - often in the middle of the night. Maybe once every-other-month on average - hugely unnerving. I've had to disable 2 zones. Vivint will NOT let me out of my contract. But they are willing to replace all window and door sensors at $60 each - nearly $1000. Ouch. So much for "free" installation. If you can't guarantee a successful free installation, you shouldn't offer it! Would recommend against going with Vivint, but I don't know about the other alarm services, either. I haven't alarmed my house in 4 months and sleep better now because of it. What a waste. A yard sign or window sticker might be just as effective.

The price seems a little high but not out of hand. My biggest concern is we’ll walk out of our door and the camera won’t record. Big plus is that there are a lot of customization options to noise and things.

I have had nothing but problems with this product AND customer service since it was purchased and installed. The alarm randomly goes off in the middle of the night or the middle of the day for no reason. When you reach out to customer service for assistance plan on spending 2-3 hours with an incompetent representative who will not help with the problem. I feel completely robbed. This system is not inexpensive but I was willing to pay for safety and peace of mind. I have not received either and really feel like I am paying for a very expensive and overpriced remote to open a door. I will be writing the Better Business Bureau about this awful company. My recommendation is to not purchase this equipment or service.

We had ADT and we weren’t particularly impressed with their availability of digital options and extra features. There was a Vivint salesman that came down our street when we lived in a different state, and he showed us all the different things that he could offer us and we were pretty impressed. He thoroughly went through each type of service and automated option that they had at that time and how everything worked, and then we got into the nitty-gritty of if we wanted to add service and how much all those would cost. I was surprised that they happened to have somebody available for installation within short notice. The installer was very quiet but he got the job done and he did it right.
Depending on what becomes available as far as technology is concerned, we'd be open to other possibilities. But for now, what we have in place is working for us, although we would like to have window sensors. Our house is brand-new and they were built with sensors, but it doesn’t translate between Vivint and our home automated system so it's useless right now. If there's any way to make those connected in the future, that would be nice.

My cousin had an alarm system with Vivint and I also chose them because of their doorbell camera. They had a good sales rep who communicated with me. He explained everything and there was an open dialogue. The installation of the system was quick and the installer explained to me what he was doing. We've experienced nothing but issues every few months with this system. For example, they installed a faulty tilt sensor for the overhead garage. The replacement stopped working with a few months. The other sensors and front door lock require battery changes often. It seems we can't go 30 days without some error message about a sensor not communicating with the system. The broken glass sensors are not working anymore. The app doesn't connect to speak to the doorbell camera and list goes on and on. All of these problems were experienced within the first year of installation. For the thousands we spent on this system, we expected more.

I’m in Florida, and I use Vivint down here. The installation of my system was not a problem, and the features offered in my package are fine. I leave it the way it is. I haven’t had any bad experiences with the Vivint reps.

When Vivint was starting, one of their salesmen came by our house and talked about them. They had a free installation then and so I decided I'd use their services. I've been with them for seven years now and I like that they let me pay yearly instead of monthly. However, when I went and got their doorbell, I started having issues with my home security system. First, it would have been nice to be told that they were gonna drill through my doorframe in order to get it connected to the outlet. No one told me that they were gonna do any drilling and that the doorbell needed to be plugged in anywhere when I ordered it. The frame that I have is steel, so I got a little bit upset about that. I wasn't there at the time of installation, only my wife was, but they also didn't ask her. They just did what they needed to do.
Then, before having the doorbell, everything was great. I get on my cameras on my phone and I see everything. Now, I've been losing connection and data. I've called Vivint about it but nobody comes out at all. They only talk to me over the phone and they tell me what to do in the panel. I do what they say, and after 40 minutes of repeating the troubleshoot and rebooting the panel, it would work. But then within a couple of weeks, like right now, I don't see the doorbell when I check it. There's a microphone with a slash over it and I can see the street, but it's frozen.
The last time I called, they sent out someone to advance the power of the signals. I'm putting it right by the doorbell, but it's still the same. It's still going on and off. I'm getting tired of calling Vivint and having them fix it. I've already called to see how long I had to go in order to get out of the service because it's frustrating. They told me that I could get out of the contract, but I have to pay so much money because I got the free stuff and all that. So I'll just wait it out.

Was lied to during the process. Still trying to get everything sorted out. You are not truthful and you mislead customers. Your product should sell itself. When you mislead customers you are going to have problems. You also should leave ‘how to’ manuals.

We were repeatedly assured by the service and our installation representative that the Wi-Fi connection we had would let us see remotely who was stealing equipment off our farm. Unfortunately unless you're near the pad you cannot no matter what additional equipment they give you or your provider Wi-Fi sells you you cannot use this system and view it remotely. So I now have upwards of $3,000 invested in a system that still is not working! Since we are out of the window of time when you can return it all in and stop the contract we are stuck. Very happy with our installer Austin but he too gave us false information.

On Saturday, 3/16/19 around 4:45 pm, I put on my house alarm, including the motion detector. Then I left my house at that time. There were no pets or any moving items in my house when I left that day. According to the motion detector itself, something “triggered an alarm at March 16, 2019---5:23 pm”. Vivint called me at 5:24 pm, but I was at church and had my phone turned off. Then Vivint called my daughter to notify us of the triggered alarm. My daughter told Vivint that she was very concerned. When the Vivint representative said that they were going to “dispatch someone”, my daughter told them she wholeheartedly agreed that police should be dispatched to my house.
In the meantime, while I was at church I happened to notice the missed phone calls so I then called with my daughter. After my daughter called me to tell me that my alarm had gone off, I raced home and arrived at my house at 5:48 pm. When I pulled into my driveway, there were no police or anyone else around. I was very scared that there were dangerous intruders in my house. Before I got out of my car, I called Vivint back to see what had occurred at my house. I called the phone number that had placed the call to me previously. Her name was Olicia (sp?) and she acted like I had awakened her from a nap. She acted like she had no idea what had happened and just kept repeating what I had said. Instead of answering my questions, she acted confused and was asking me questions. In the background, there were two other people (I think a male and a female) who were arguing VERY loudly.
After Olicia could not help me, I asked to speak with someone else. Then Olicia put me on hold for at least 20 minutes of our 27 minutes, 54 seconds phone call. She then suggested that I talk with Remarrio (which I never did). Because of the horrible service that Olicia was giving me, I told Olicia I wanted to disconnect my service. She told me that it would cost me $1,619.46 to disconnect my service. (Of course, I was not informed of this fact before the security system was installed.) After receiving no security help from Olicia with my phone call to Vivint, I entered my home with very much fear. No police ever showed up at my house. And I never heard back from Vivint that night or any time afterwards.
Since that experience just a few nights ago, I do not trust Vivint at all. I actually feel more vulnerable with the Vivint security system than I would without it. I am not safe with Vivint and I want to be disconnected totally from Vivint immediately. Vivint gave me NO paperwork on the day of installation. I have not known how to contact Vivint. All I knew was that Vivint was associated with Dish TV.
On the day of installation, I was also told that there would never be a moving charge, but I have since learned that there is. In order to make payment “easier”, they offered an automatic draft from my credit card on a monthly basis. I was told that the monthly payment would be $29.95. But I was not told that, along with my payment, they would also deduct $9.95 on a monthly basis for “VIVINT CITIZENSONELOAN”. At this time, I wish to totally disconnect and discontinue my service with Vivint. (I never received any paperwork or bills from Vivint. I guess they think it is easier to cheat a customer, if the customer has less evidence.)

I feel good with the features that are offered by Vivint. I've been having Vivint for about five years and it has a few more features than with ADT. Also, my experience in dealing with Vivint’s customer service team was very good and my interaction with the sales rep was decent. Overall, I’m 99% satisfied with the service.

Moved into a home with precious Vivint service. Constant beeps. Multiple attempts to stop panel from beeping. Random alarming after over one year in home tonight. For three hours multiple attempts to stop it. Finally had a friend tell us how to disconnect the panel power red cable. Then the cops show up. This company response and customer support was a joke and they caused a ridiculous waste of our police force time tonight. Will never be a customer and will never recommend to friends.

I have spoken with your Customer Service Representatives more times than I care to speak about. I called Vivint in April of 2017 to inform your company that we were moving. Your Customer Service Rep stated that the equipment needed to be removed & taken with me. I asked them, “Now”? They replied yes. Three hours later, with all of the equipment in my truck, going down the highway, the Alarms start going off in my vehicle. The very same company that I spoke with hours earlier notifying me that the Alarm has activated & the Fire Department is being dispatched. REALLY?
Your company cannot even communicate internally!! I’ve called & been placed on HOLD for hours, had your people come to our home which is a Smart Home & pre-wired with all Security options. Your company on the very first visit trip into our New Home proceeded to remove the Ecobee Smart Thermostats, Relocate the Existing Brand New Security Equipment & put it into our Utility Room because your Door Camera wouldn’t communicate with the panel.
After spending a half a day here, & Cigarette Breaks every 15 minutes, the installer said that “he was unable to complete the job”! And that I needed to reschedule someone else to come out. After Multiple call outs & numerous incompetent people & over a YEAR, I find out that there is no SECURITY alarm on the windows. They did tell me when the Door opens & nothing else!
The Camera would go down so often there was no reason in having it. When I out of town or at work it would signal that someone is there, but that’s it. When it went down, you had to be there to physically reset it. They offer to sell me more products, extend the contract. On July 17th, 2018, I emailed your company terminating our agreement as Vivint DID NOT fulfill the terms. I spoke with Customer Service & they said “There’s a Contract, A Contract works two ways." This is the third & Final Notice to Vivint. I should be filing a suit against Vivint for damages to our home. They continuously say "This call is being recorded."

During the installation, the first technician who came left because it started sleeting outside. It was a pain to get a hold of somebody to come back out, but Vivint talked to me and took care of me on some stuff so when the installer finally came out, it was fine. Vivint took care of me, made it right, and everything was good. My system is working as advertised and my satisfaction with the overall service has been great.

A salesman came to our door in the Summer of 2018. We were right in the middle of a move to another state. The guy told us that we would not have to worry about the equipment because the only thing I am obligated to pay for was the panel. We were told that everything else was free and that we could cancel at any time so long as we pay for the panel. They threw in some Google Home things which I told him I did not want because I work for the government and did not like the idea of something monitoring my potentially sensitive conversations that I could have at home. I was told again that EVERYTHING was free except the panel and that we could just keep the Google Home things.
Fast-forward 9 months, we have moved twice (from home to rental in new state, to new permanent home) and the panel is now broken. I log-in to Citizens Bank and Vivint and learn that the loan was for $900!!! They charged me for everything they gave me. Additionally, they told us to leave all the old equipment which further instilled the idea that the equipment was free. The salesman said leaving the equipment helps him so that he can come back and see if he can sign up the new owners of the house. Bottom line, this is not what I agreed to. I have been scammed. I am going to call the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission and the police departments in Arkansas and Georgia where Vivint operates in order to launch complaints. They must be held accountable. Please let me know if there is a Class Action lawsuit ongoing. I would absolutely like to join in.

Vivint was the first company to contact me. And I tend to stick with what I have unless they do something that I don't particularly like. The installation of the system didn't seem to take too long. I've had an upgrade since that time, and they came out and did what they had to do. They explained to me what I had to do and what I needed to do, and it worked the way they said that it would. Any time there has been an issue, I've always been able to contact them and they responded timely. Vivint's system has provided me with protection both when I'm at home and not, and that's all I need.

I’m in the army and I move from one place to another. I was stationed in Colorado, and a Vivint salesman selling the system door-to-door came. He was very mature and he was knowledgeable about the system. He was very good at selling too and would able to sell an air conditioner to an Eskimo. I got their system and the installation guy who came was professional. The salesman was there when they were doing the installation and he explained how things were connected to the monitor.
The guy who sold us the equipment said that whenever I move, I could just leave everything, including the panel, over there. But when I was moved to a place near Texas and I called customer service at the Texas branch, I was told that I should’ve brought the panel with me. I told them that the individual mentioned that they’re gonna have issues and so they gave me another panel. Additionally, I wish the prices for the outside cameras were lower so I can get more stuff. Even so, I'm really happy with the Vivint system.

Vivint reps came to my house and I decided to get their service since everything seemed to be a good idea. I have the alarm when I go to bed and I set it when I leave in the morning. I also have a smoke alarm. Dealing with Vivint's reps was very good and they’re always very nice and easy to contact. I'm satisfied, and I just renewed my contract with them.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Vivint and I’ve been trying to cancel for a long time but apparently, I got locked into a contract. I didn’t even know it is a three-and-a-half-year contract. I’m sure it was in the fine print but I was never specifically told. I don’t think I would’ve signed it had I known. It was right when we had moved in that Vivint showed up at my house and the sales representatives were really pushy to get the system hooked up. But other than that, it was okay dealing with them. The system was installed that day and that went pretty well.
But anytime I call and talk to Vivint, they give me a hard time because I have a hard time remembering my password since I never call them. They won’t even let me into my account. I understand you need to remember your password but people forget things. Finally, they let me into my account and I told them that my Vivint isn’t working. Because we just got internet, the system was not hooked up but they still haven’t sent someone out here. Now, I’m paying $60 a month for absolutely nothing.

There have been some people in other areas of the city that we know that have had issues and we decided to get an alarm system for peace of mind. The sales rep at Vivint that we interacted with was knowledgeable. The features that are offered in our package are good and we’ve been toying with the idea of upgrading a little. Our current system doesn't have any outdoor cameras or doorbell cameras. Nonetheless, the overall functionality and performance of our system are good and I like the quality of the system. There has been on occasion where somebody has forgotten to disarm the system and inadvertently opened the door, and I get a call within seconds of that event, so the system is working. However, my son found out that a competitor offers better rates, so he called Vivint. Vivint lowered the rate for him, but I feel like I shouldn’t have to do that. I should be getting the best price all the time.

I saw Vivint on the billboard and I had a person come out, and they sold me the system. Having the system in our home makes me feel a little more secure to know if somebody opens the door. When I go to sleep at night and if somebody opens the door or window, the alarm is gonna go off. I have been protected with their service since early 2013 and we have pretty much everything included in our service package, except the home automation. It is the one where you can turn the air conditioner up from your phone. I didn't need that and they were charging me $11 a month to be able to do that.
Vivint is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. The system breaks down all the time and the door handles hardly ever work. Vivint sends people out and tries to charge me for their equipment not working and batteries that have gone dead entirely too often. I had a fire in my bedroom and the fire alarm didn't work. It was an absolutely horrible experience. Vivint is too expensive and their equipment is subpar by far. I would tell others to check the other alarm companies first.

Vivint's service has been excellent. I got a home security system because I like the technology and all the controls you can do from your phone, and my Vivint system has been good all around. I like the AC control from my phone a lot. Plus, their customer service reps have been good as well. In my opinion, Vivint is the best alarm company.

I have been a Vivint customer for over 4 years now. I haven't been able to use my device to it fullest potential for the last 6 months. I cannot view any playback recordings and constantly getting an error when I try. I have called and called and each time a tech would take me through a series of steps and ask me to call back within 24 hours to see if it is then working properly. It's not and it will not. I am now on the phone with another tech that is basically wasting my time with these same redundant steps. Why am I having to go through this while I was still paying for the service? If I am only getting half of the services I am paying for why am I still being charged the full price? Please fix, replace or cancel my services. I will gladly return your equipment to you. I have had enough!!!
This isn't the first time I have had issues in which Vivint was unable to resolve. My doorbell camera doesn't look clear at night. Sometimes I can see lights in the distance. Other times it's just dark. If someone rang my bell, steal my mat, or whatever I am unable to see who it is. They renewed my contract when I move to a new home without my permission. If not I would have drop their services long ago. I have another year left (11 months) and I will not keep this subpar home security system. Leaving ADT was the worse move I've made ever!!!

My husband got the security system that works great what we have a major problem with is we have been having trouble with your online payment, I put all the information in which we do not like putting personal information on. I've called the customer service, the 844# and all we get is rude customer service. They act like they don't want to take a payment nor be there. I called this morning to pay a payment and the guy hung up on me. We would like to continue to pay for the cameras but if we don't get help from the customer service. We are gonna tell y'all to come pick y'all's products up and we will be done with this company

I've been with Vivint for two years now and they're great. With the kids, having their system has made me feel better. I like my system a lot and I like the features that are on it, like the doorbell camera. Also, while I haven't had to talk to their customer service as everything has been going good, a couple of reps had come by our house to see how I was doing and I've had good interactions with them.

Since the price was right at the time, I had a security system installed and it was quick. I've had it for a year and a half now and the features are good, but there’s not enough equipment. Only one level of the house is covered and my sense of security with the system is poor. I had an attempted break-in a week ago and Vivint called the police, but the police wouldn’t respond. Why bother even having it? I also find that Vivint's system is offline quite often. When somebody tried to break-in to steal my vehicle, the camera in front of the garage was offline so I couldn’t report it to the police. There are always issues and the control panel is iffy at times.

My daughter had the service with Vivint and at the time, she had been happy with the system. So I decided to give them a try. Initially, my experience wasn’t too bad until I started having tons of equipment problems, which I still am having. I had tons of problems with the doorbell not recording. They put a couple of free panels in and I had some camera issues too. The system has been a nightmare. The customer service reps tried to do a number of things online. Some of those have worked but only for a short period. The technicians have been here about 10 times. It has not been a very good experience. I've contacted Vivint once before about some issues and heard nothing. Right now, the panel doesn’t work. The touchscreen on the panel is completely inoperative so I have to control the thing from my phone.
Some of the folks that I’ve talked to have tried to be helpful but there has been constant problems. They put the equipment in but it didn’t even last the day. There have been a number of issues with the doorbell itself and it took quite a while to get it to work. Right at the moment, it is not working too bad, but the panel has quit again. My experience with Vivint has been a real nightmare, not to mention the cost is outrageous. I’m not happy with the system at all.

We had a person who was repeatedly breaking into our home and wanted a security system. Our homeowner's insurance suggested Vivint. The tech came out and stated after the installation the payment plan for the equipment would be for one year. The very next day, the same man broke into our house while I was home alone putting me in immediate danger. The alarm went off and Vivint interrupted my call to the police to verify the alarm was valid. I repeatedly stated that I was in danger and needed them to call the police. They DID NOT call the police. Later when my husband called them to find out why they never called the police. They stated that we would need a subpoena to listen to the phone records and there was nothing they could do.
Months later we moved and called Vivint to cancel service which is how we discovered that the technician gave us incorrect information and we still owed $1000 for the installation despite it being the year anniversary of having the system. We paid the bill and were told we'd receive paperwork to reflect the cancellation but we actually received paperwork to start service once again and that we owed another $50 for initial installation. After more hours wasted on the phone being transferred around it has finally been resolved. We hope. In short, Vivint seems to have serious internal problems in every department from administration to customer service and cannot be counted on to help keep their customers safe.

Customer service is terrible, at best. Who you speak to when you sign up for service is NOT the same type of person you will talk to when you need help. Customer help is rude and their self-help website is outdated. When I moved, they were going to charge me twice (once to uninstall, once to reinstall at new location with the time between uninstall/reinstall being "about a week or two" - their rationale was to recoup their "free" installation at time of purchase). I paid off the equipment and canceled the service. After multiple attempts, they are still billing me for the service at $49.99 a month which is the security fee PLUS the equipment fee that I already paid. Every time I call I have to start at the beginning because they don't leave notes. Have filed a complaint with the BBB.

So back in 2015 we had a Vivint rep who was referred to us come out and give us an estimate on a security system complete with smart panel, video doorbell, power door lock, thermostat and some contraption that opens and closes our garage door. The property we were living in was a rental. They needed us to sign a 5 year agreement. I commented multiple times that we may not be in this house for 5 years. The rep said on multiple occasions and this was a huge selling point, that "when we move we can just leave all the equipment there and Vivint would install all new equipment at our new place". He even said we can explain to our landlord how he will inherit the security system.
So fast forward 3.5 years, we bought a house and it's time to move and we call Vivint to install a new system in our new house and they tell me they won't install new equipment for free. I can apparently pay them to uninstall the old equipment and pay them to install it in my new house. I told them that is not what was promised. My wife and I remembered very vividly what was offered. So we still had the name and number of the rep since we are realtors and property managers who had referred dozens of people to him/Vivint. He is no longer with the company, but he does again clarify that is what they had previously offered, but he heard they aren't doing that anymore.
So let me get this right, you sell me on a 5 year agreement knowing that I will be moving before it is up (didn't get the landlord's approval by the way), telling me how great it will be because I will get a completely new system free of charge when I move and the landlord will be happy too because he inherits a system that future tenants can activate and then you simply change your policy? Laughable!
I have referred 4 new people to ADT in the past month alone. I suggest anyone that is thinking about getting a security system and monitoring, Do not get caught in the lies and deceit of Vivint! Now I have to pay 1.5 years of service for a security system at someone else house. But it is costing them a lot of money and I have already reached out to an attorney. It turns out I alone have 4 friends who remembered the same promise. Does anyone else smell Class Action!

I am very happy with the features that are offered in our Vivint system and I am very satisfied with the service. I also like the quality of the system. The reps were very knowledgeable and courteous and they were willing to help. The installation went okay, although they had a little trouble wiring and getting the system in. There was some residual and I had to buy a bigger cover plate due to the hole they made in the drywall, and they bent up some of the outside fascia. I’d recommend Vivint, nevertheless.

The gentleman from Vivint came to the house. He was good and knew the system. The installers who came thereafter did fine. Thus far, the features of their system have been easy to use and the smartphone features are really handy.

Vivint was the first company that I spoke to and I was pleased with what the rep was saying about Vivint. We love the features included in our package. I can be a thousand miles away and I can see who rang my bell and I can talk to them, and they can hear me. They can’t see me, but I can see them. I was also pleased with the way the installers did their service. They showed me how to work with my system.

My mom and dad have a securty and I like the feature where you can see who’s at your door, through the camera. I have the motion package, front door doorbell camera, and fire alarms from Vivint. It is very good. They usually come out when there is a problem. One time, there’s a problem with my camera, and they came out the next day. They tried to troubleshoot over the phone, but I end up needing another device, so they had to come out. I would recommend Vivint, it works good.

There was a salesman from Vivint in our neighborhood going door-to-door. One of the things that really got me was the fire and the smoke alarm. If we weren’t home and there was a fire, the fire department would automatically be dispatched. The rep was very knowledgeable. However, the installation took a little while. The guy kept having some issues, and he was there late at night. But other than that, it was okay. Also, the quality could be better. We’ve ran into several glitches with our doorbell camera not working, or not sensing when somebody is there. They replaced or upgraded the panel, but the issue still continues to happen about once or twice a week. Nevertheless, everything has been good so far.

I was in a Best Buy store and Vivint advertised there. I liked what they were advertising, so I purchased a security system. However, there was a confliction between Best Buy and Vivint. I bought my equipment from Best Buy, but I never had a contract with Vivint until a year later when I called them to service the equipment. When Best Buy presented to me in the store and said that I could buy the product and then have Vivint come to put it up, I thought that was a done deal. The Vivint representatives came and put it up, and then I heard nothing from them for about six months.
I was happy paying my billing in store with Best Buy but when I started having problems, they said I gotta call Vivint. But Vivint and Best Buy are no longer partners, and Vivint no longer has a sales representative in the store. I went around and around with Best Buy, and they gave me a 1-800 number. When I called Vivint, they said they don't have an account with me. Still, they sent somebody out to look at the equipment. But they also brought me a different plan. On the day they sent somebody out and they serviced the equipment, I started having a bill every month from them.
Now, I have to pay double because I have to make monthly payments to Vivint and still pay for the product. I don’t understand that. I tried to cancel the Vivint account, and I called them several times. They told me that if I wanna cancel, I have to pay my monthly bills and then I have to send them an email saying that I wanna cancel. I did that in September and December, but they won't cancel.
Vivint's system is good when it’s maintained. But it’s hard to maintain. It’s also hard to get somebody to come out and look at it when you have problems. I’ve called Vivint three or four times. They came out once since I’ve had the equipment, and I haven't had the equipment for about two years now. The features I got in my package though were good and they were what I wanted. But I didn’t want the contract. It was like I was forced on the contract so I can get serviced. I like Vivint's system, but I think the net is slow. If I’m at work and somebody rings my doorbell, I go on my app and open it up and get to the doorbell. But after the doorbell and by the time I get my app opened and I should be sitting there looking right at it, and by the time my app syncs with my videos, the person is already gone.

I liked the way that I could put together my Vivint package. I could pay for what I wanted instead of having to buy a whole bunch of extra stuff. Their rep, Aaron, was a nice and friendly guy and he was able to show how everything works. He logged into his personal Vivint account and he was able to show the security cameras at his house to show me how easy it was. He made sure that he could prove that the product actually works. Installation was quick. The installer ran into some issues though while he was wiring the thermostat up. He had a few questions but he was able to call another rep and got it rectified quickly. Also, the motion sensor had fallen off the wall. The installer used some kind of adhesive and it stuck for a couple of days but then it fell. My wife called in and then another guy came out and put it back up with actual screws and it has been fine ever since.
Every now and then, we have some freezing and reset issues with the main controller and sometimes, between the main controller and the thermostat, it’ll lose connection somehow. So, when I log in through my phone or look at the thermostat on the wall, I can see that the system is trying to do two different things. If I go into my phone and set it to cool at a certain temperature and then look at the panel on the wall, it may still be set to heat or vice versa. So, the way I figured to do this is to reset the thermostat on the wall and then everything syncs back up and goes back to working. This happened a few times where something in the app doesn’t match what the actual system is saying. Another example is it’ll say that the garage door has been left open when it's in fact closed. But other than that, I like the quality of the features that are offered in my Vivint package.

I called Vivint on March 8/19 as my temperature control panel was not working properly and my furnace quit working in the middle of winter. Not good! I was told I had an outdated panel and would I like to upgrade to the Smart Hub panel. To make a long story short I spoke with 3 representatives, all whom which I was told something different in regard to prices and whether I qualified for the “flex pay” option. I was told that I had to provide my Social Insurance number so that they could do a credit check. I felt that was insane for a $500 panel! I’ve been a customer for over 7 yrs and have faithfully paid my bills. I gave her the number even though I thought that was ridiculous!
I then asked to speak to a Supervisor as at that point was not trusting anything I had been told. I spoke with Jessie, the Supervisor, who was rude, unapologetic, and unhelpful. He admitted that I shouldn’t have experienced what I had through customer service but when I said that I had been given no apology he very sarcastically gave me one. I was on the phone for 45 min and spoke to three reps and one Supervisor only to find out that I didn’t qualify for a new panel or the flex pay option unless I bought $1000 worth of equipment. What a joke! Vivint, you should be ashamed. What I experienced should never happen to anyone. This isn’t the first time I've had poor customer service. When my contract is up I am sooooo done with you!

With Vivint, I could do everything from my phone. At the time I purchased it, the features included in my package were good. But over the course of time, it was better out and they didn’t do a whole lot to upgrade me. So far, I am not highly satisfied with their service. When there is an issue and I need somebody to get here fast, they're referring it on or upward. The response times for those individuals and the way they deal with things were not very good.
On the day of installation, the installers came quite late to install. It was dinner time and they were doing a huge push on our street so they had a million installations. However, there had been a miscommunication between the salesperson and the actual installation team so the team installed the sensors where they were not supposed to be. The sensors have adhesive and they put it in an unfinished basement and did not clean it beforehand so the sensor fell off and tripped the alarm in the middle of the night. It scared the living daylights out of me.
Nevertheless, I have had great interactions with the people that I spoke to. The salesperson came the next day for a follow-up to make sure everything was done correctly and he discovered that the installers had installed things incorrectly. So, he had them come back out and move everything around. But because they had called certain sensors certain entry points in my home, they couldn’t adjust that. So, when the alarm tripped, the RCMP would come out and it would say like, “Basement window,” but it was the back door. Whenever they respond to a call, they weren’t even looking in the right location. Now, the problem has been corrected.

I’m active duty military and was deployed to a forward operating base in Syria when I put my home on the market and tried to cancel my service. A service that rarely worked and would have false alarms go off weekly. They refused to terminate my service. I have been paying for a service I do not use or have access to for over a year and a half. This company is worthless and a bunch of crooks.

I'm a customer with Vivint for 2 years. Customer service is good when you call, but the service is way overpriced. Have wi-fi connection issues often. Go with Ring, half price, no contract! Stuck paying $96/month for 5 years!!!

The system is nice... state of the art. This will bring you into the 21st century for sure. The installer was a bit rude. Certainly could have communicated better. When he was done he just left what he had taken down or disconnected on the floor where he worked and said nothing about it. Could have recommended boxing it up or something.

I had the sales rep's number, and I was able to reach him at any time of the day, any day of the week. He was very helpful in getting someone out here to get the problem straightened out or telling me what to do over the phone. He was really knowledgeable about his work. The installation team were wonderful. They had a few kinks to start with, but they got right on it as soon as I got in touch with them. The package that we got were geared towards my needs. I’m very thankful for that. The people who do the monitoring were knowledgeable too. There were a couple of times we’ve had some missteps entering or exiting and they were right on it. I would recommend them, I just wish it just came with my internet.

The features of the Vivint system are good. From time to time, there is an error or freezing up on the panel but for the most part, I could clear it by unplugging and resetting it. I would definitely recommend them.

When we were ask to your security we were told we would have to payment on the equipment but the monitoring would be deferred for the first year except for the first month. This has already happened but you are still charging to my credit card.

The features offered with my Vivint system are great. I’m more on the basic-end where I don’t need the cameras or the Ring. The service is basically so that we have the fire alarms attached to the fire department in case somebody breaks in the house when we’re not here. We go on vacation not that frequently but you have peace of mind when you go away. You know your house is gonna be protected. So it’s wonderful. I would recommend Vivint to other people.
When I first moved in though, Vivint was a real hassle. We bought this house from my ex-mother-in-law and she had Vivint as a service provider. But for several months, Vivint wasn’t charging me the price that an existing customer would be getting. So they had said one thing – came out and gave me documentation that said $39.99 a month – but lo and behold, it was somewhere near $60 that I was being charged. So every month, when I was billed, I had to call them and complain. At that time, I did not set up automatic bill pay yet because I didn’t trust that their bills were being billed correctly.
But about five months later, they got it straightened out. They started billing me appropriately. I didn’t have to call them anymore and I set up automatic withdrawal. I’ve been with Vivint since July 17th of 2017 and after that little period when we had problems, it has been fine ever since. Besides, these things do happen. The stress of moving into a new house, setting up all kinds of utilities with other companies and then having an issue with Vivint exasperated the situation. But if I didn’t have all that other stuff going on, it probably wouldn’t even be something I would mention.

I’ve had Vivint since about 2007 but I plan on cancelling the service when my contract ends. The last time I called, they were able to bring down the cost but it’s just too expensive. Also initially, when we moved into our new house they were supposed to put in some sort of keyless entry on the door, but they never did that. And we did call them several times. We downgraded our package to the basics in order to decrease the cost, so we didn't qualify for the keyless entry anymore.
