Megan was very helpful and answered all of our questions! The only recommendation I have would be to let people know upfront that you will not help them get out of a current contract with an already existing security system in order to help your customers research ahead of time what it would cost to get out of a current contract. Other than that I am very happy with my new system!

Lupe ** arrived right on time and was very patient and thorough with explaining everything. He was helpful in understanding how it worked and listened when I needed to explain something. Both the gentleman who offered me the system and the technicians who came and installed it, had great customer service and were extremely friendly and caring to my needs. They helped me get out of my old system and get into my new system in the same day.

Let's talk about customer service (or lack thereof)... I opened a chat with a Vivint rep named BayLee this morning — first, to let Vivint know that my (brand new) outdoor camera is filled with water and we have no view of our driveway or street because the camera is broken... and second, to let Vivint know that the security sensor on my son's bedroom window has been open for three days and the alarm has not alerted me at all. I am currently looking at my alarm panel and it is telling me that the sensor is at 93% battery and that the window is closed. Yet, I'm looking at a WIDE OPEN window.
The response from BayLee was, "oh okay, let's fix that." No apology for leaving my home and MY CHILD'S BEDROOM WINDOW un-alarmed when I'm paying $85 a month for a security system. No empathy for the concerned mother on the other end of the chat whose child could've been kidnapped last night due to the faulty equipment Vivint provided.
The explanation she gave me? I am responsible to contact Vivint once per month to do monthly maintenance/testing on every piece of equipment that I have in my home to ensure that it's working properly... That's right! They add a secret clause in your contract that states that you THE CUSTOMER must call them once per month for eternity to test all of your equipment. Mind you, the sensor broke three days ago — so, even if I had called at the beginning of the month for my "monthly testing," I wouldn't have known until August that the sensor had broken (if we're going by their monthly testing window).
On top of that, after basically severing that chat session because I was tired of BayLee and her unprofessional attitude, I wasted 20 minutes on the phone with SherryLynn — Who told me that they would not have a problem sending a technician out to my house to fix the camera (which is still under warranty) and look at the busted sensor... but only if I pay a $49 fee for the technician visit. Vivint won't be seeing another dime of my money or my monthly payments. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! GO WITH A MORE REPUTABLE SECURITY SYSTEM THAT ISN'T RIDICULOUSLY FLAWED!

Sales representative was very personable. Install was same day. Both sales person and technician were knowledgeable, friendly, polite, made sure we understood the cost, equipment, how to operate. Installer vacuumed areas that became messy when mounting panel and sensors. This was a referral from a family member who has been very satisfied with Vivint for over 5 years.

My experience with the representative who sold me the service was a professional, knowledgeable, friendly young man. He knew his product well and was able to convince me to try the product. His name is Carlos **. The installer, named Keegan, is also knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He spent time answering any questions I had and went through the system with me to acquaint me with proper procedures.

I called Vivint regarding some bad sensors (fire alarm and glass break). I was told that they were going to ship new sensors. It has been 3 weeks and I still have not received them. Meanwhile, my bad smoke detector keeps on going off! Thinking about changing to a more proactive monitoring company!!

Technician explained in detail. All documentation and installation. Very detailed on how to use Vivint, Walked thru cell phone app and helped installed and explained all that is needed to use app as well. Very knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, and polite. The install at the control panel box was sloppy. The installer installed the wires in a way that the box door was unclose-able instead of running them through the opening in the bottom of the box. Inside the box they just left the disconnected wires just hanging vs. tying them back out of the way of the new install. The touch panel, doorbell and camera install meet my expectations.

Excellent customer service. Forest the technicians that was assigned to us was very profesional and went beyond his duties to help us out. The monthly fee is also affordable and their equipment top of the line. I recommend Vivint to anyone that is looking for security services.

Good experience overall. So far, I love my new security system and the functions it offers. The tech (Anthony) that came out was great and very knowledgeable! Advised well as to where to position the cameras. Did very clean work and was not sloppy. Made holes only when necessary and positioned cameras well to maximize the coverage.
The rep. was not as helpful. When I called to ask about the system and get a quote, I was not told that cameras can not be installed to a detached garage. The rep. even pulled up the satellite view of the layout of my home. The tech informed me if this detail, whiched changed the original order request and the number of cameras that were installed and how they were positioned.
Also, had an issue with the original appointment time. Was sent the confirmation for the wrong appointment time even though the rep. was told that I couldn't be home before a certain time that day. Contacted him to let him know. I was advised that it would be changed, but came to find out that it was not corrected. He just put a note in the system.
The tech that was scheduled that day, texted me letting me know they were on their way. I contacted him and we had to change the appointment to a later date due to the error made by the rep. Another, thing promised that was not fulfilled. Like I said, overall the experience was good. It was very easy to get a quote and customize a package according to my needs. The tech that did the work was very knowledgeable and showed how to use the system and equipment.
My only issue was the rep. I worked with. I feel he was too excited in making the sale, that he didn't advise properly and made promises that the tech was not able to follow through with. It could also be a bit of lack of experience or training. Not really sure which. I think if Hogan had a little more training or a refresher course, it would benefit him and any new customers that call in.

Kolby did a great job explaining what I had and what I was going to receive by making the move away from Guardian. Tim was phenomenal installation tech. He helped guide me to make the best decision on the outside camera position for what I was looking for. We got a late start and had some challenges with them and he and explained what and why he took the steps he did. He also cleaned his work area inside and outside my home. I look forward to our new partnership and the possible addition of other products. Your team was had the upmost professionalism and I appreciate that.

The representative didn’t allow me a buy out option for the equipment and said the only option was to finance it. He also said there was no contract but when I received the email copies, it was a 60-month agreement.

The staff was both professional and easy going. My sale occurred on the 4th of July which was not convenient for me. I was actually in the middle of cooking and had company. As a result I felt the sale Took longer than I wanted, but at the same time it was not as long as it could have been. The installation did not take that long.

Our sales representative was friendly, and made sure that we were satisfied with our products. The installation team was at our home within in a hour of signing the agreement. They were knowledgeable, and made sure that our cameras were facing the way we wanted them to.

I cancelled my service with them July 2018. They continued to take money from my account for a year. I called and they had, on file, I cancelled in July 2018. I have called 5 times weekly for over a month and was told it would take 3-5 days to put the money back in my account. I just got off the phone with Cassandra who today all of a sudden tells me there isn't a record of me cancelling July 2018. Every time I have called for the last month, they said they did show it. I have spoken to a few "customer retention" reps. The ones I remember are Brooke, Cassandra and Malici. Malici is supposed to be a supervisor. He agreed to pay me back and said it would take 3-5 business days. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM OR USE THEM AGAIN.

Fast installation and response. 1st day after installed, so far its working good. Can’t tell much yet about the products. Camera and Audio quality is ok. Driveway camera wasnt working the next day, called customer service and reset the camera. Responded and troubleshoot quickly.

The system was real easy to understand and to follow with the installer. He was in and out on about an hour or so. The first guy that came to the house, was real professional and nice. Showed my wife and I the system and was able the explain any questions I or my wife had. He spoke Spanish and English that help my wife a lot since she is from Spain.

The technicians came out to install same day. That means they were at my home late. They didn’t seem rushed. He never complained or even hinted about the time. I didn’t realize the time until he was packing up to leave. He took the time to show us all the features and answer any questions we about the system.

I recently purchased a home with a Vivint Security System already installed. I added an outdoor camera to my request for a keypad activation. My technician Mason arrived promptly. He was very professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of the system. He was efficient and completed the necessary upgrades and installations to the system easily. This is my first experience with a home security system and my experience was great.

Poor communication amongst employees, 5 hours to get a basic phone activation done, lies fed to customer about phone calls that didn’t happen and more. Beyond ridiculous and embarrassment. Agents promised to stay on line and communicate issue to next department but never did. Went 3 days without service in new home and no follow up from missed Vivint missing appointment times.

The technician Cody and Brandon did a great job! Mostly Cody but Brandon came and helped a while. Very professional and made a pleasurable 6 hr installation. They got all 6 of my cameras where I wanted with no wires showing! Totally took time to explain everything and didn’t leave till we were totally satisfied!! I will recommend Vivint to friends.

Sales representative came to my door rather late and still suggested that a technician come in to install at such a late hour of the day. Very uncomfortable and an unreasonable request. Sales representative was pleasant, friendly with a positive attitude, however, even though I committed to the trial the process was a bit pushy.

Recently just sold my house, and the buyers want to keep Vivint and all the equipment. So we call them and try to get everything switched over. So they tell us we can’t until we pay 1700 to pay off the loan for the equipment that I will Never see. I’m beyond pissed off because When we got them that said we could do that. Now I will be out 1700 and nothing to show for it. Take a good hard look before you get them. They will screw you over big time. And I will never recommend them to anyone.

I recently had a Vivint Security System installed at my home (Camera, smart door locks, motion sensor, etc) and I have no problems with the equipment itself but I do feel misled by the rep I spoke to over the phone when had called to begin new service. The rep did NOT inform me that I would have to have my credit run after the equipment was installed. I did not want to have my credit run much less open a new credit account. When I first called to inquire about a new system he made it sound easy, "Zero down and I can pay for the equipment monthly and when paid off the monitoring fee would drop down to $54.99/ month". What he didn't tell me was that i would have to open a new credit account with a 3rd party creditor, and that my credit would be run AFTER they already drilled holes in my doors and walls to install their equipment.
What he also didn't tell me was that I would have to make one payment to the finance company and a separate payment to Vivint for the monitoring fee. I feel the the offer was grossly misrepresented. Also beware, the onsite technician will try to upsell you any which way they can. I did not agree to having a secondary motion sensor in one of my rooms and it was installed anyways. The technician suggested it but I never officially agreed to it as an add on. I should have watched what he was doing more closely but unfortunately I did not, and I didnt realize it was added to the equipment list. My walls have custom paint and design so if I would have had him remove the sensor I would have had holes in my wall from the drill so i just left it. They do give you an option to cancel within 3 days but after all the equipment is installed why would I cancel and be left with multiple holes in the doors and walls?

Vivint's products and services are average at best. Their prices are higher than their competition. Judged solely on this I would give them 3 stars. Unfortunately, that's not all there is to this company. Vivint is a borderline fraudulent company. They have been sued by multiple states for their illegal business practices and have paid millions in settlements. Let me assure you this has not stopped their fraudulent practices of misrepresentation by their salespeople. We were promised the ability to cancel our 3.5-year contract after 3 years without penalty by the initial salesperson that signed us up.
That time has come and they are refusing to honor that agreement as his notes are conveniently missing from the contract, which I had to request because they do not make it available in your normal account documents. Even without these broken promises, the cancellation process is a nightmare requiring a written notice, 30 days in advance of said cancellation, that they may or may not honor. Please, for your own sanity, do not choose Vivint for your home security needs. Their reputation truly speaks for itself.

Everything was great for a year or two, then a power outage caused a couple of problems. Resetting the system over the phone (free) worked, but the fellow did not tell me everything else in the house network was no longer working. That cost me $150. About two months later the doorbell camera stopped working. The alarms are still fine (burned some toast and got a quick alarm & phone call. So I know they're still there. Why the doorbell problems? I don't know. It may have started when the unhooked the existing bell. Then forgot to mention that there are batteries to be replaced. Maybe they could have hooked the new doorbell up to the house current. So I'm waiting for a reasonable solution to a $3828.00 ($63.80/mo. x 12 mo./yr x 5 years) set up... which is just about a wash with my homeowner's insurance discount. That's how I rationalize it.

Install was pretty easy. Useful app, only slight critique is that all of the extra 'options' are presented as the extra cost per month (which is artificially much cheaper because it is factored over 60 months) -- they should present the actual cost up front. Also, they seemed a little disorganized with details of install I gave over phone. There are some subtle things they should give up front, and there should be a price break for paying the total cost of equipment up front.

I have been a Vivint customer for a few years now and will be canceling my membership once my contract is up. They did a great job with onboarding and selling me the security system but it’s been all downhill since then. About 2 years after having my system installed I moved to a new home. I was told I could deactivate my service for a couple of months and they would come to my new home and reinstall the system without charge. I was told nothing about needing to take the panel with me. When I called them to have reinstall, I was told I would need to pay for the panel since I did not take it with me. I was also required to sign another 3 year contract or pay for all is the sensors that I was told I would not have to pay for.
Since moving into my new home the system has never worked like it should. The alarm panel is loud and shorts out, the sensors do not detect the proper doors/windows. I have called on a few separate occasions and each time spend over an hour on the phone, receive poor service, and don’t resolve the problem. They refuse to send a technician to my home. I would not recommend Vivint to a friend or family. Steer clear of signing up with them.

Then representatives of Vivint came knocking on our door. Their offer was unbeatable. I feel safe again in our home and they included a medical device I can wear, in case I need help and I'm unable to reach the phone or alarm. I recently had an ex roommate who was kicked out and under no circumstances welcome back into my home. They entered my home without my knowledge AFTER their user and door lock code was deleted from the main panel. No one at Vivint could figure out how that happened and couldn’t find the user (as they were deleted). They weren’t able to fix the problem and the code was still working on the keypad even when on the phone with Vivint. They ended up having to send me a new keypad as they couldn’t figure out the problem. They wanted me to pay for the shipping for the keypad and did not offer someone to help me install the new keypad. Nor was I offered any type of compensation for the faulty equipment and the fact that someone was able to enter my home with an old code. I now have a new keypad that is not set up as I don’t know how and am paying $70+ a month for a very poor system.

I attempted to change payment source as my credit cards was updated. Apparently the only way to do this is in line and your system was down. I was preparing to leave the country so I called. The person on the phone could not assist and advised me to let payment be late and try again upon my return. Are you kidding me!!! In addition, my thermostat is not wort and cannot find anyone in the area to service it, so will probably have to replace with something Elsa and will not be Abierta to use through the security system. My advice, if you cannot service customers in a rural service area, then leave the area.

We started some defoggers and didn't realize it would set off the fire alarm. We were assisted within seconds of the alarm going off through a rep via our wall panel. They allowed for a quick confirmation it was not an emergency so my husband could get out of the house with the active defoggers going. The response was quick and thoughtful knowing he needed to leave that environment quickly.

Was robbed due to Vivint no securing one door. Over $1000.00 worth of equipment taken. After months of talking to them then then secured the door. And wanted to charge me, even though the door was listed on their contract. On 5/14/2019 I sent a letter to cancel my system on 6/14/2019. This was the end of my contract. On 6/14/2019 you took your monthly fee out for the next month. I contacted your company and was told a refund would be issued. It has not been returned. All you had to do on 5/14/19 was remove my checking account number and EDI would not have happen. You had a month. The returned money take seconds to return via EDI. I will be contacting the BBB and let them know of the poor service.

I like the idea of having a camera on the doorbell. What I don’t like is having to reboot the system a lot and the app sometimes not working either. I was out of town a few times and couldn’t go to the app to see who was ringing the doorbell because of issues with it. My back camera for a while wouldn’t record events. It took about three weeks to four before it would. Maybe they need to update or upgrade their equipment. I wouldn’t recommend them to family or friends because of the issues that am having. I hope they get it to together.

I called to see why my bill was higher than the month before. She explained that the cost of taxes caused the increase. We have been with Vivint for 7+ years and we're happy with our service but the increase is too much. Other alarm service is much cheaper which I have to look into possible changing to another company.

I referred Vivint to my father in law and never received my free month of service. The service is also overpriced for what you get compared to other companies. Equipment seems to work well for the most part except for the doorbell camera that tends to look glitchy when recording video.

Initial sales contact was courteous. Sales representative (Jack **) was extremely knowledgeable and cordial, and professional. He not only installed but did a great job cleaning up after. He explained and demonstrated features and answered questions. He did not try to sell me products I didn’t need or wouldn’t use. He recommended options to make security affordable. I have had multiple problems with my alarm. I've tried to work with techs over the phone (usually by messaging) and rarely are the problems resolved and, if they are, they do not stay resolved. The last time I got so tired of this, I just wanted a person to come to my house and resolve the problem. The person messaging with me tried to refuse to schedule an appointment until I agreed to get out of bed and, once again, go through the process of rebooting. I had to insist multiple times that I was not going to do this and insisted I get a live person in my home to fix the problem.

Have had repeated problems with connectivity, updates, and system working properly. Rather than sending a technician out to fix the problem Vivint always insists on trying to fix it over the phone and it usually ends with the system working at about 85% and only lasts for a month or so. The rates we pay are much higher than the previous company we had and quality of service is much lower.

Though I am satisfied with the monitoring service, I am very disappointed with the cost of service. Right now monitoring services have gone substantially down, however I have not been approached by Vivint to have my monthly rate adjusted or offer me incentives to keep Vivint as my provider. That said, I am seriously considering going out to shop around, possibly going back to ADT.

I have never contacted and when I asked about testing this system, I was told just set it off! I have a message that says "Panel disconnected from Home Network". I only have a dumbphone, and guess that is the reason, but wonder just the same with no contact point!

I love the way this alarm company works! They’re so fast and patient when you set it off by mistake! Love the features on the panel and the ability to have multiple passwords. The breaking glass door sensor is very sensitive and reacts towards Jenga falling and loud movies, so be careful!

The service is more than I was paying with my prior security system provider. The equipment for the most part has been reliable either exception of the panel. We have had several issues with the battery and the fact that it tells us it is not charging when it actually is. Vivint needs to improve the panel.

The thermostat that was provided did not work with my unit. A technician came out twice and I was told my unit was having problems. I called a heat and air company to see what was the problem. He installed my old thermostat and my heat started working. I called Vivint and explained what and two different people told me I would receive a credit. I never seen it.

Vivint was installed well. I tried to get a yard sign, but after several calls, it never came. They have answered every alarm quickly and professionally. The smoke alarm has unusual, expensive batteries. I would be a 5 star except for these two issues.

Since having the system. I have had numerous issues with the cameras not picking anything whenever there is an “issue”. I have had my car broke into twice in a year. The camera didn’t pick up anything. My back deck camera has been offline for over 4 mo. I’m just waiting for my contract to end so I can be done with this.

I have had nothing but trouble out of this company and their employees. They literally do not care, all they want is your money. I moved about a year ago. My equipment is not even hooked up for them to monitor and I have not received a call from them. They still take my money though. I stopped payment and now they are sending me emails that my payments are not being received, my contract says that they are supposed to monitor my home, which they have failed to do. And they have failed in contacting me about this issue. I am highly dissatisfied with this rip off company, I will never recommend them to anyone, I recommend ADT.

From the very start I told them that I got paid 5 of each month but they keep billing me on or about 18. Then sent me a notes that if it is not paid by 28 there will be a late charge of 10.00 dollars. I have try to get this fix. I am done with this.

The system is wonderful! My son and brothers can monitor my movements as necessary. I love the cameras monitoring. Being able to open the garage from my phone is amazing. I also like the inside monitoring devices and the Nest thermostats which I can control via my smartphone.

The security system has not worked properly since it was installed. It sends constant messages that one part of the system or another is not speaking to the control panel and the doors and windows are open when they are not. We cannot arm the system because it incorrectly says that doors and windows are open when they are not. A tech came to the house and fixed it, but it broke again soon. I spoke to a rep on the phone about the problem and he said someone would come to fix it. No one did.

I personally cannot wait until this ridiculous contract with Vivint is up so we can switch to a reliable trustworthy security system company. Our devices never work and haven’t since we’ve had them. We’ve had Vivint come to “fix” them just to say whoever installed them in the first place did it wrong, which was Vivint! We’ve called a crazy amount of times asking for help and how to fix our cameras, and the wall device and spent pointless hours with no results. We’ve had so many things stolen from right in front of our house and the camera has NEVER not once picked it up. I cannot say enough bad things about this company and my friends and family members who also have Vivint say the same things, terrible experiences and customer service. I always recommend people elsewhere when they ask about security systems.

My wife and I have had nothing but problems with this security system. The cameras constantly go off line and so does the panel. I am constantly resetting the panel and the doorbell. Sometimes the cameras record video sometimes they go days without. I have had three different panels now because they stop working. I cannot wait till this is paid off so I can get a better system that works. I've wrote several reviews because Vivint says they care about their service. I've yet to hear back from them!

The system worked fine for a while, but, it has been failing for the past couple of years. There are no service techs in the area or anyone when the system needs upgraded and fails. They just send parts in a box and you have to get someone to talk you thru it over the phone. This has happened many times and then the system started failing even more. It was something all the time.

Solar is not accomplishing the cost savings that I had thought that it would. The solar panels designed for the home has more resulted in the outcome per designed. We have had the solar installed for over 2 years and it has been a huge waste of time. Repeated calls to customer services resulted in no results except to say that they will not remove the system. The system is not achieving any measurable cost savings and I would like to have the system removed in its entirety.

Wall panel needs to be replaced! I've called a few times. Verbal commands do not work. Randomly someone came to my door without an appt and I wouldn't let him in. Never got an appt. So it has not been replaced yet. I have called a few times went through.

Vivint is horrendous. I've had my system for almost 2 years and have not had longer than 1 week of uninterrupted service. Something is always wrong and no matter how many times someone comes to fix things, it never solves the problem. I bought the system for the doorbell camera and with that being down, I don't even have a doorbell.

Both men who came to work on my doorbell were awful and I would not have them back. They cut my electric line to my doorbell and I had to get an electrician. I have told everyone how terrible my experience was. The company doesn’t seem to care.

I have not liked Vivint for the past 5 years of my contract. The fact that you hold your customers hostage for 5 years is one issue, the next is equipment and finally customer service. I've been wanting to cancel my service since 6 months after getting your service installed. I was naive and dumb thinking Vivint was a prestigious service at the time. The equipment sucks along with the customer service. I have been looking forward to July 2019 for me to be able to finally cancel my contract with Vivint. System installed didn't meet our requirements after it was fitted and "tested" over a few weeks. The guy who sold it to us told us it would be able to do "this" and "that", when in reality it couldn't. We had to have upgraded equipment installed at further expense to ourselves to facilitate what we were originally sold on. That was very disappointing. Your "sales team" should KNOW what the equipment is capable of. The system is now as we want it. The additional cost we did not appreciate at all and Vivint were not particularly accommodating or considerate about our experience.

We have found the service to be not at all what we expected. We have found it to be very unreliable to the point where we no longer even use it. It seems to have a mind of its own and makes adjustments to various things (like temperature) without our "permission." We also find that the warning indicators are not at all reliable and we have grown frustrated with them. Constantly getting alerts that batteries are low or that "power has been lost"... This system is more of a bother than the $90 a month we are paying and we can't get out of the contract and we can't get anyone to service it without having to pay some sort of fee.
We even had to pay for a replacement yard sign when the original one broke in the wind. And the doorbell placement is in such a place as to where it only captures a side-view of the porch as opposed to facing forward where a full view of the entryway can be seen. So someone has to be standing in a very specific spot in order for it to detect a person. Thanks.

Vivint's camera offering are sub par. As with most companies, they rush to get you to sign the contract but then don't do so much to keep you on board with their company. Due to the poor quality of the front door camera feed, I'm waiting to for my contract to expire so I can upgrade to a camera that has clear quality to be able to make out people instead of seeing blurs. Also, when viewing your camera feeds using the app or website, it shouldn't keep asking if you're viewing every 5 minutes or so. I should be able to view my camera feed for as long as I like.

We have had the system for 2 years now and not one day has everything worked correctly. The Cameras miss people daily. The backyard camera won't pick up anything and the panel has to be rebooted once a week. They also charge for service calls which completely goes against the reason of a contract. Why am I paying 70 a month for a system that doesn't work. I would not recommend.

Always have to bypass certain sensor/s. One sensor in particular worked well for a long time. The last two technicians fixed the one I was having trouble with, but didn't fix the one that had been working for a long time. I'm tired of having them out and not getting the system working properly.

I am fairly pleased with Vivint’s service. My cameras go offline way too frequently, one of my door locks drains the battery within a few weeks and I’ve been sent a new lock that does the exact same thing. I’ve spoken with customer service on several occasions and seem to have to same issues repeatedly.

In my experience with Vivint, the sales person at the door lied to me! I informed the sales rep that I would be moving soon and he stated that it wouldn't be a problem because I could cancel the service and continue to pay for the equipment if I wanted to keep it. I found, after contacting Customer Service that he put me in a 5 YEAR contract and I am being required to pay for the service even though I am moving to an apartment and I can't even use it. They will lie and tell you anything to get your hard earned money. Avoid Vivint at all costs!!!!

I have dealt with your company for several years. After my contract ended. I decided to to pay my billing with my checking account. Well a few months back, I had to jump through hoops to prove to your accounting department that I didn't owe them anything. Instead of them resolving the problem on their end, I had to get ahold of my bank and have them sent me PDF files proving, I had paid them.
After this they offered me a lower rate for 24 months, if I signed a 2 year contract, the two years didn't bother me as I don't plan on moving. What did bother me is the fact, they wanted a debit card to secure that time, I chose not to accept that, and kept on paying you monthly. That it seems was not good enough for you. You sent me a notice of a price increase, that was enough of me to cancel your services. You see I was paying my bill and never missed a payment. I take care to pay my bills and pay them! No one can say I owe them anything! I may be old fashion but the bills get paid, my way!!!!!

Talking to the service department, I was told that Vivint want to make me happy. I was told that once I got the problem with my panel fixed and running that he would update my panel without me having to sign an extension. No one has called me now in months. This is an occurring thing, in fact someone was working the neighborhood stopped and asked me if I wanted to update my equipment. I explained to her what I was promised and she said she would have to check and come back in two days at noon. Again no one showed, I feel like because of no extending my contract that there was no benefit to her so she did not come back. Not trying to be rude here but it seem like Vivint makes a lot of promises and few deliveries. I am thinking of switching to AT&T.

Customer since early 2000; Courteous technicians with professionalism; rates are reasonable; upgraded my sky panel with doorbell camera last July after front door was kicked in; got a contract that I’m satisfied with competition. Don’t come close to their rates. Almost a year since doorbell camera installation with no malfunctions.

I was really happy with service and equipment the first time I signed up. The second time hasn't been as easy, as a loyal customer I felt disregarded, signing up, equipment is not working and hasn't been for months. Vivint to my knowledge has not contacted me. I am not happy with the equipment.

I was shocked when told I was responsible for replacing batteries in my alarm sensors that you don't cover that service to maintain your own equipment at a service charge of $60. Also, as a current customer since 2010 I cannot get security cameras without a high cost and never privileged to any of specials offered because I'm an existing customer. Your contracts are forcibly too many years and you have a huge disconnecting fee.

I have been a loyal customer for almost 5 years. I loved my Vivint equipment. I wanted to transfer my equipment to my new house in North Dakota. I called your customer support and they set me up for my new house with all new equipment. Then the scheduling people wouldn't find anyone to get my equipment installed. The lady from vivint moving I talked to she said she could guarantee me to get everything installed. Then the scheduling department would bring anyone in to get the equipment installed due to nobody in the area. I went to Brinks instead. I would gladly go back to vivint if they wanted to pay to get me out of my contract but I doubt Vivint would. They couldn't even get my equipment installed. I would even pay for all new equipment and a new contract if they could take care of my contract through brinks.

the customer service rep. went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction. He took the time to go over every detail about the upgrade and verified that what I was supposed to get was what I received in the upgrade package. I also rec'd a decent loyalty discount.

I was already thinking about buying some cheap stand-alone smoke detectors for my new home, and a Vivint salesman rang my old doorbell. After a few hours of presentations and haggling, he walked away with a sale, and I ended up with a smart hub, smoke detectors, a smart doorbell, glass breaks, flood, and door contacts. All for less than $65/month. I'm definitely going to recommend Vivint to my friends and family. They installed it same day, which was just me getting lucky they had an installer in the neighborhood. So far so good. I'll check back in 6 months for an update, as I have yet to have to call them for anything. Customer service spoke English as first language.

I received several "warning "Bleeps" over a week indicating I had anything from low batteries on my "back door" to low batteries on my "Panic Button". After working with 3 different female reps over a week I made a final call to cancel your service. The young lady I got on this call was very knowledgeable and helped me correct all problems. You need to give all your reps more info to work with and if you can find the young lady I worked with on the last call she needs a "fat" raise!!!

From the initial sale and installation of the security system, I have had very pleasant discussions with all of the personnel. Customer service and tech support have helped me customize how it works. This has given me ease of mind when I leave my home and when I return. Shortly after I had mine installed I found out a police chief friend had a Vivint security system installed at their home.

Multiple times I have talked to someone about getting a new fire detector sent over. I’m tired of being on the phone with you guys and nothing ever happens. I recommend the technicians to ask if shoes should be removed or wear shoe covers before entering home. They ask me to write 40 words but this is all I have to say at this time. The quality is not as clear at night from what we were shown when the salesman came out.

1st looks like a nice product. Timing was awful. 930pm started taking to door knocker. Install started at 11pm lasted until 130am. Unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. And the 90 a month for monitoring is high. We will see in the 3 days how it goes.

We've been a Vivint customer for years. We were such supporters. We even came out on the news giving testimony on how wonderful the system was. One of the biggest pros was Space Monkey. We have since lost all our family videos because they discontinued the service and won't allow us to gain access to our photos/videos that we thought were on the actual hardware as well as the cloud. Devastated that they won't find a solution.

Allen did a great job and remedied an ongoing problem. He replaced all wired sensors and linked it all to the smart panel. He had to do more work than what the order would have normally required and he did it very willingly to ensure complete satisfaction.

We have outstanding service from Vivint. We first received service from Vivint in June of 2011 in NJ. In 2014, due to job relocation we moved to NC. Called Vivint and our account was transferred to the new address. We paid for the extra windows which needed protection. We like the monitoring the ability to view and control lights, locks, AC and alarms remotely as long as we internet access. Customer Service has been responsive and very professional.

Technician was quick in responding to my install call. Technician very knowledgeable about everything. Technician pleasant and patient with teaching my family the new system. Technician very accommodating to other technicians at my home for other scheduled repairs. I will certainly recommend Vivint as a security company of choice. Now saving 50% on my home security bill I was paying AT&T digital life for much better equipment and service.
