Love our new Vivint Security system that we had installed today. Video on the doorbell is crystal clear! Love the new smart lock on our front door. Everything works as it should and as advertised! Install was great, product seems way better than what I had before. Pricing seems to be average with the other companies. Cameras seem to be quite clear, with good range. Hoping to stay a customer for a long time. Good product, install was fast and seem less.

I would highly recommend this company Vivint. First off I had to make some changes to my account for personal reasons and the representative that worked with me whose first name is Sydney was so thorough in walking me through the steps. Also my Technician Amadeus was very professional and friendly. They work great and installation is done quickly and efficiently.

Trying to get in contact with my rep. (Nolan D) but got no call back. I'm concerned work the $2,100 charge worth this upgrade. It was not explained that this was going to be happening. Plus 60 no contact? May have to cancel this. Yesterday was holiday, and Saturday and Sunday were not business days.

Vivint offers a fair price for good equipment with a lifetime warranty. Automation works well. The system is very convenient and easy to use with integration into your smart phone. The features are user friendly and intuitive. The sales and installation team were friendly and knowledgeable. We recommend to anybody looking for a home security system.

I was told that I would have a camera with my order. I called to verify my order, I was told that a camera did come with my order by one rep. Then another rep told me that it’s not. Someone told me that they would check into this and give me a call back. I haven’t received a call yet.

We decided to update our system to newer technology and Chris was very helpful. The installers were wonderful and completed the work very quickly. I was given plenty of instructions on the operation of the system. They even helped set up my mobile phone and iPad with the latest apps. I would recommend Vivint to anyone looking for a new system.

Had a great technician come out and install a smart panel and reconnect Vivint security service after the previous homeowner took the panel with them. Great customer service, great explanation of the system, no undue pressure to buy add ons. 10/10 will recommend Vivint to friends and family.

From the first phone call speaking with a gentleman named Mike about setting up my service to the respectful young man named Davis that thoroughly installed my equipment, I am extremely pleased all the way around with Vivint as a whole. I decide not to use your service after calling and getting a rate. At least 4 reps called after I informed that I was not interested. I invited David ** in just to complain and his awesome customer service skills made me change my mind and sign up. The tech was great also. As far as security services go, y’all have exceeded my expectations. I felt stuck with ADT but didn’t think much about it. Now with Vivint, I feel free and more secure, seeing as ADT didn’t even install our system correctly. Now, I’m getting more surveillance and quality service for less. Thanks!

Great service from the representative on the phone to set up the account, great service by the Installer being timely conscious performing great service. The young man who came to sell us this Alarm System was Excellent in the knowledge of the set up. So we bought it. Tyler arrived on time. He identified himself and said he was here to do the install of my security equipment. We went over all the equipment I had purchased then began discussing placement of the equipment. Tyler made recommendations as to where the place equipment. Collar was very careful with this work and cleaned up very well after installing all the equipment.

Our technician was great, very knowledgeable and resolved an equipment issue as soon as I called it out. Took his time to train us on using the system and was a genuinely nice person. We are happy with our equipment. It’s very easy to use. My kids even have the app on their phones and are able to control the front door and cameras.

Install by Brendan ** was very efficient and fast. Since we had a current system they were able to tap into existing current system which saved some money. Brendan went thru set up and how to operate the system. Very seamless set up.

It has only been less than a day since the installation so I really don't have an opinion of the service yet. The installer was very professional and knowledgeable. I have done some research on the monitoring fees charged each month and find that Vivint is on the high end of these fees. This may ultimately be the deciding factor in whether or not I decide to keep the service at the end of 30 days.

I was very impressed with the capability and professionalism of every one of the Vivint installers (especially Jennylee). Unfortunately, I did not get the names of the other 4 workers but I was absolutely amazed at how fast and accurately they completed the complex installation with very minimum impact on my existing house!!! Henry is also to be commended for his thorough and complete system explanations that convinced me to try the system!!

Not able to install what I am paying for. Say he could not put keypads on commercial doors. Using keypad was my main interest. I got one camera and ring doorbell. Was told he could put it on back door, after moving stuff around for him to access back door that was made of wood, he said because of ordinance he couldn’t. I believe it was a time frame. Please adjust price.

We now have three systems set up at two of our businesses and one at our home. We’ll be installing another system soon in Florida because we’re pleased with the service. I would give them a 5 however, they need improvement in their toll free tech support line. I never get any help unless I’m there at the console for troubleshooting. It’s not easy to be at work at 1am when our cameras are down and they refuse to help troubleshoot unless I go into work. This has happened twice since November.

Eric, our installer was so efficient while still very patient with our many questions. He made suggestions for better coverage and explained why. His work was clean and as non-invasive as possible. My sales consultant & technician Tatum ** was very professional & friendly. I checked a lot of reviews on this Vivint & found them to be very positive. Of course there are always a few bad ones yet not enough to keep me from hearing what they have to offer. I was able to get a in-home consultation with Tatum Within 2 days of contacting them. He gave me the information I needed without Pressure or a Hard Sell...which I truly appreciated. I currently have a security system & was looking to switch. The trial period with Vivint is a wonderful idea to give me the opportunity to compare the 2 systems without pressure. Vivint has all the up-to-date wireless equipment & what they offer in warranties- allowing me to take the system with me if I move...etc.. I highly recommend having an in-home consultation with Tatum to see what Vivint has to offer. You won't be disappointed.

We selected ViVint for our home security after careful review and consideration. We compared to ADT and Bay Alarm and AAA and Simplesafe. For our needs ViVint was the best fit. The 24/7 monitoring and professional installation along with a reasonable monthly cost -$32 - met our goals. The upfront costs for the equipment was expensive - $3200 - but the equipment is proprietary and top notch. You are not locked into a long term contract if you pay upfront and you can take the system with you if you move since ViVint is nationwide and in Canada. Our installation was quick and easy. We look forward to many years of safety!

Everyone was helpful and clear from the salesperson to the installer. They both went through everything to be sure we understood what we were getting. My only negative would be the cost, the equipment is expensive but the monthly monitoring fee is reasonable and competitive.

I’m impressed. We have had our system less than 24 hrs and we love it so far. Our package was much more cost effective and inclusive than ADT that is for sure! I love the app and the access it provides along with two way talk! Now with our cameras we can check in at any moment and our kids can talk to us with a push of a button. Giving us that peace of mind we had been lacking with our other system.

I’m amazed at the range of security features provided by Vivint Smart Home for just over half the price of my previous security provider (which didn’t provide nearly as many features). Today we had our system installed. The whole purpose of getting the system was to monitor garage doors (open/close) and have a camera aimed at the garage so we could see doors. The installers were very nice and knowledgeable. The problem — system was not compatible with our garage door opener and the installer were not able to mount camera so we could see garage doors. I am afraid the product we got will not satisfy our expectations or reason for getting system.

I HATE USING VIVINT! HAD THEM FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND HATE EVERY DAY WITH THEM!!! Always having technical issues, equipment replacements, or extremely rude customer service representatives. Each and every customer service rep I've dealt with on their chat, has been extremely rude. Liesel ** for example told me this evening "I only need a yes or no", "a simple answer will suffice", and then when I asked them to clarify something, Liesel ** responded "As I said already once..." I get this kind of customer service on their chat support every single time I need help with something.
Also, the equipment, their software, and their app is always having issues! They say they know about the issues and have been working on them for months, so the service we receive is not even mediocre or acceptable. Plus our equipment won't even alert us of anyone at our front door till they are already walking away which does us no good in the case of an intruder. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS SERVICE!

Both of the gentleman was very professional. They explained everything, they walk me through this is system. They walk me through on my cell phone as well, they was very professional, very polite, make sure everything was working before they left. They even put a sign in my front yard. They both announced who they were, when they came in the door, they shook hands and gave their names. The doorbell camera really adds a sense of security, knowing what is happening outside your front door. The picture is nice & clear as well a great wide-angle picture, the main control panel is easy to use & read.

I’ve been a Vivint customer since 2014, and it’s been a great experience until I needed to move my system. I’m not quite sure what happened because their customer service is normally topnotch. My new address was canceled and the old one was reactivated...twice. Ultimately after untold phone calls, more than a total 6 hours on the phone, speaking with multiple departments and representatives... I think it’s resolved. I wanted to give you guys 5 stars because I LOVE the system. Obviously I wouldn’t have dealt with this level of nightmare for a month if I didn’t. Great alarm system, but I must have fallen through every crack the customer service/moves departments have. I’m hoping the nightmare is over.

Update 03/11/2020: It appears that although a technician came by to remove the equipment from our house and we were assured that we would not be charged any more, we were charged an arbitrary amount of $148.21 exactly one month after installation.I will be canceling my debit card because I don't trust them not to steal from me again. Very ironic how a company who claims to protect people has some of the shadiest practices I've ever been a victim of.
Original review: A sales rep came by on a Friday afternoon saying Vivint is looking for model homes to offer trials of their equipment and services. I agreed to the trial and the rep said he was going to work hard to make sure we got a good deal of $20 only to have the system and monitoring in our home for 3 days on a trial. He also said that he could get us the trial for 7 days instead of 3. The appointment took so long that I had to go to a doctor's appointment but afterwards, he came back and we discussed it again. He said that actually the amount would be $70 for the trial. Strange. I still thought that we were getting a deal though, at 10 dollars a day for 7 days. I had him provide written confirmation that we would get the trial for 7 days, risk-free.
The installation began within 20 minutes of talking to the rep - He was still on my couch when the installation tech showed up ready to install. I wouldn't have agreed to this trial if I'd known I wouldn't be able to schedule a time for the installation. This was in the middle of me needing to pick up my daughter from preschool. Guy wasn't done until after my daughter had been in bed for an hour and a half - it took nearly 5 hours for the installation to complete.
My husband and I tried to cancel later that evening. When my husband called, he sat through two waiting periods before finally being told that he would need to call back on Monday to speak with the Customer Loyalty Department about cancellation. During his phone call, however, he was also told that our rep should have never told us that he could get us 7 days instead of 3 because we would have been put under contract after the third day. I should also mention that the "assistant manager" who came to install the equipment also boasted that he could try to get us a full month before canceling the "trial". Things started feeling sketchy at around this point in the ordeal.
Anyway, the following Monday I called Vivint's Customer Loyalty line and was very cordial when I explained that we wanted to cancel the trial. The rep said he would make a note in our account and gave us the date and time of our scheduled uninstall, which was going to be in 6 days. Great, fine. Later that day I was looking at my online banking statement because my debit card was declined during my lunch break. Come to find out, I was double charged the $76.46 (and my bank had a serious system failure causing no one's deposits from the last three days to post which contributed to this issue, but I digress.)
So I called Vivint a second time, livid, but didn't swear. I think anyone in this situation after only 2-3 days would be absolutely equally upset, if not more so. I asked him when I could expect my refund of both charges. Justin said that one of the charges was from Citizens Bank and that it’s part of the trial. I said that can't be right because they both show as identical charges. Regardless, I asked when I could expect to see my refund since I would be out nearly $160. He said that refunds couldn't be issued until the equipment is removed from my home in 6 days. And he was very matter-of-fact, as if to say "sorry 'boutcha luck!", when he said it. So essentially, I'm missing the better part of $200 for nearly a week, all because I decided to try out this new home security system. This has by far been a surprisingly terrible experience from day one, which only continues to get worse.
The same rep, Justin, said that in order for cancellations to officially process I would need to submit a written request via email. This is something everyone in the line before him neglected to mention. And judging from the way our experience has been thus far, I'm not confident that the company would've acknowledged the error on their part - by not informing us - and not put us on the hook for the entire cost of the equipment plus monitoring - because of THEIR mistake. Nonetheless, I submitted the email and made sure to include the verbiage Justin said we needed to include in the email. I asked for a receipt of the email and have been told that most receipts are sent the following day of the request being sent. Alright, fine.
Now, I spoke directly with my bank to ask them about this double charge. They said that they are both from the same entity, that there was no "Citizens Bank" anywhere that they could see. So they agreed to remove the second charge of $76.46 because it hadn't posted yet. Afterwards, I called Vivint one more time to clarify this "double charge" because my bank gave me different information. The last rep I spoke to, Bain, said that there should only be a $76 charge AND a $52.41 charge. "Really?"
As it turns out, the $52 charge came from Citizens Bank as a loan for the equipment/monitoring service -- a charge I was told on the day the rep came to my house wouldn't happen if I canceled within the 3-day (or 7-day) trial period. The rep told me that ONLY IF we decided to keep the system that we would be charged an additional cost of around $52. So basically, another lie.
And then it begs the question – Why did Justin pretend that two identical charges of $76.46 was normal when, in fact, the actual amount should have been $52.41? Is it incompetence? Or was he just being passive aggressive because a JUSTIFIABLY ANGRY customer let him know how upsetting this experience has been and demanded to know when to expect a full refund? Bottom line, clearly no one at this company seems to know very KEY information about how this trial is supposed to work. Everyone we've encountered since the day the sales rep showed up at our door has only compounded the issues we've had by either misinforming us or just omitting information altogether.
I've kept all emails, phone logs, bank information etc. and I plan to continue documenting every interaction with this company until every last piece of equipment has been removed and I receive every single penny that was taken from my account. I cannot recommend Vivint to anyone because of the way this was deeply mishandled every single step of the way.

My security system was dismantled since August 25, 2018. I live in a senior residence which does not require me to have a system. Vivint is not releasing me from my contract. They recently raised my monthly rate for some equipment maintenance. After almost an hour of arguing that I have no equipment and they are not monitoring my home, they assured me they would waive the fee. They did not. I repeatedly have explained to them that I am on a fixed income and that I am bombarded with medical bills as I am a cancer survivor, they still are increasing my monthly payments for service they are not providing. They need to go out of business, they are a rip-off company.

This company proved themselves to be unprofessional in record time. From the time I signed up to the moment the equipment was installed, I called to get it out of my house. Conveniently, no one was available to assist and rather than offering follow up to assist, they advised me it’s my responsibility to call because they’re ‘busy’.
Our technician put up equipment in random and obvious locations then did a TERRIBLE job with the patchwork where she put HOLES IN MY HOUSE TO RUN WIRE. Mind you this is not discrete by any means. There’s literally a wire running down one side of my wall, across the baseboard and back up the wall to be plugged in. What company doesn’t use wiring already THERE!? And if that’s not possible, why is it not disclosed that you’re going to literally put UGLY holes in my house!? BEYOND FURIOUS and expecting appropriate compensation for this waste of time.

The installers were asked to put a door brake on all three of the exterior doors, instead they put one door break on the door to the laundry room/closet and the other one was installed on the upstairs balcony door which you can't even access from outside of the house and they completely left two out of the three exterior doors without a door break. I can't even set the alarm when anyone's doing laundry because it will set off the alarm.
The interior camera is pretty much useless. It's big, it's bulky and it has to be plugged into the wall so when my daughter comes home she just unplugs it so we can't keep track of what she's doing. The video quality from the doorbell camera is so horribly bad I can't tell who it is coming and going. Either my wife or one of my kids went out to the car last night and when I reviewed the video I couldn't tell which one of them it was. The video quality is so bad! The window break sensor is sound activated so anytime I hear something that sounds like breaking glass it goes off. They mounted this in the living room so when Captain America crashed through the plate-glass window on the TV set it set off the window break sensor.
The install guys also showed up two hours late and they didn't bring all the tools they needed to do the install so they had to return the next day, they told me they would be here by 9:30 in the morning and it was 12:30 in the afternoon before they made it and they didn't bother to fix the door brakes or placed in the wrong place. They just finished what they had started and left. I'm in the process of trying to cancel my service but apparently that department is closed and has very limited hours.

Dealing with the salesperson Jared was unpleasant. He was high pressure and accused me of being disrespectful when I questioned him. The equipment has glitches. I did send an email cancelling the contract during the three business day grace period but I haven’t heard back.

The sales agents were knowledgeable, friendly and very respectful. He explained everything to us clearly and answered all our questions. When the installer showed up within eight minutes of us completing the contract and he was awesome in explaining how to work the system and made sure we had to question before he left our home.

My salesperson, Megan, was very helpful and answered all my questions and assured my concerns. I spoke with her today and was able to get installation the same day to avoid the installation fee. Technicians were very courteous and informative. It was a last minute setup job, so I’m sure they were ready to start their weekend. Only negative, is to take a little bit more time in the cleanup phase but of course, I was working outside and I’m sure they didn’t want to hunt me down to find out where the garbage can was located and I’m a little OCD. Overall, still a good experience and would highly recommend. Although I was shown the basics of the system, I will be educating myself a little more on the website which was recommended to do. I’m sure I will be well pleased with my security system.

Great equipment and service. Troy and Billy ** did their respective parts very efficiently and professionally. The installation went perfectly as well as the instructions afterwards. I have loved all the people that I have dealt with. I just moved into a new subdivision and the people from Vivint that stopped by were not pushy at all. Yesterday, JG stopped by to check back in and I agreed to go ahead with the security home system. He was so nice and explain everything that I didn’t know from my research. The tech then came out the same day. It didn’t take him long at all. He was also super friendly. I would recommend anyone to get vivint. Not only because of the cool features but the friendly customer service I received.

The technician, Deangelo, was very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and accurate with the installation. He made sure I was comfortable with the pin pad and the app on my phone before leaving. Happy with both sales and installation. Both were very professional and cleaned up after install was done. Would recommend this company to others. Happy with the set up and outside camera. Never thought we could have an camera at the door bell since it was on the side of the house but it was angled to cover the entire entrance.

The installation went smoothly. Everything turned out great. The installation team were awesome. Everything was installed in a timely manner. And the team was very respectful and courteous. The representative and technicians were friendly, helpful and informative. My husband and I were impressed with how quickly they came out and were able to install the system we wanted. Any issue that arose during the install they were able to resolve which meant bringing in another tech to help.

Sales rep was not pushy but explained everything very well. Installation wad on time and quick. Installer was friendly and set up the system and explained how to use it. So far it is working well. This is the first time I have had a security system so I can't speak to cost comparison but the monthly charges are about what I expected. The cost of the equipment seems a little high, but I chose to pay for it over 60 months so payments are more manageable.

This is my first home security system and it works great - I like the home screen. Nest thermostat, smoke detector, door ring camera and all work great from my phone. I consider this to be a good investment and would recommend to anyone else.

Wasn’t expecting to get a new security service but John helped us make a decision. Bailey and Mark were awesome installers as well... everyone was nice and they cleaned up their mess although I told them I wouldn’t mind doing it. They taught us for to use the system and were being personable.fr

Kyle explained the paperwork and everything he was going to do. Also, he cleaned up behind himself. Ask if I had any questions. He showed me and my husband how to work all the equipment. He gave me a card with his phone number, so I could call if we had any problems.

I’ve never had the initial service that I have received from the installation crew and the initial sign up. I spoke with Cesar and he told me a crew would be by in the next few days. And when I opened the door the installers were on the street prepping their tools to come install everything in a short amount of time.

Híghly recommended because of what product offers, as well as what capabilities and how this system meets my needs. Because of your tech, I would I know this system is better the competition. The system does user-friendly however it will allow for quick response to fix by a certain time.

I had a scheduled phone appointment on a Sunday to set up service and didn’t receive a call. I was supposed to get an email confirmation that service was activated and still have not received anything. It doesn’t illicit a strong confidence in the relationship with your company. The upside was when I did speak to your reps they were friendly.

Within 3 business days of calling Vivint, my security system has been installed and I could not be happier with the customer service and installation process. The technician, John, texted me to let me know he was on his way for my appointment and he was very helpful throughout the install process with questions that I asked. He gave recommendations as well which I appreciated.

I just purchased a new home security system. Travis and his team were friendly. Travis took the type to sit down with us and explain everything. Benson the installer did a good job of installing the cameras and sensors. Then going over how to use the system. If things stay as they are, I will be a customer for a long time.
