    On 6/15/20 I had your Vivint security system installed. Everything was working fine, but 6/20/20 the cameras weren’t working properly. I call the sale person to ask if a technician can come back out to look at the system. The sale person informed me that it will be 6/22/20 before a technician will out. So I agree to take that appointment date of 6/22/20 at 14:00. I try several attempts to get in touch with the sale person and left text messages to confirm the appointment date. The sale person ever get in touch with me and the technician never showed up. This is bad business and no customer need to be treated this way. I will not recommend anyone to get your security system. Also I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau of this situation.

    I was impressed and pleased. I’ve had a plethora of previous experience with field technicians that don’t have half the competency and cordiality of Arthur. He was efficient and pleasant…his parents def have a sense of humor, as he was far from boring. He worked diligently to complete the purchased service, answered all of my questions, even the most robust, AND, I watched as he did troubleshooting for a particularly difficult portion of the installation involving our outdated doorbell chime with unlabeled wiring. Yes, sir! I’d call Arthur for all my future install issues. Vivint is blessed to have the guy on board! Keep putting people like AB on deck! I’m upset that the product I want to have installed would NOT work with my door. This should have been assessed before I paid and install day arrived.

    BTW: I have one qualm. There is a question on the exit survey that implies a customer would end up paying again for something of which the full purchase price was submitted. AB explained what should happen next, so I am not worried, but the requirement to reply YES/NO made that a tense moment. I of course replied “NO”, but your system should allow for data transfer from the onset of the purchase journey. If I purchase equipment on full, a question should not come up that says something to the effect that “you will be charged the full amount” again. Trivial matter, but important to mention, nonetheless. In any case, kudos to the install guy Arthur B.! I learned a great deal about the process and the technology involved. Would love to add more parts/pieces to my Vivint home security puzzle…will probably get more people on board from the fam, too. Those are BIG facts!

He left empty boxes on the floor in several areas, he left sawdust where he drilled holes, and never consulted with us as to where we wanted the devices installed. He made that decision on his own.

    We recently bought a home that had Vivint installed when we viewed the home and thought it looked great so we wanted to continue once we purchased the home. We had install set a month prior to move in. We were going to be getting a 300 discount for military and then another 200 (I think) for being referred by someone who partners with vivint. We moved in on May 15 had scheduled install for the 18th. The day came and went by the end of the day after not hearing from them I called to find out where they were. I was informed that the system had auto rescheduled for some reason and was now set to be installed on the 21st as that was the first available next appointment. Well guess what 21st came and went and as it got closed to end of install time I called.

    At this time I was informed that it had been cancelled d/t the fact that somehow when it was scheduled it was schedule for some address in Texas. I was irritated they offered to take some money off of product. They then told me that next available was the 29th. I told them I would have to think about it as I was irritated at this point and wanted to look at other options. When I called back that was no longer next available now I was looking at June 4th for install. They told me they would be try to get me in sooner but that did not happen.

    June 4th came appointment time came to around 330 and had not heard from the install people, mind you I had got a confirmation call the night before. So I called Vivint and I was informed that it had been cancelled. After much complaint, irritation spoke with an account manager Ashley who informed me she could understand my frustration and wanted to make it happen was on hold for a very long time finally found out that apparently this time they had the correct address but it had been cancelled by the technician because he had an emergency and was not in town. NO call from anyone.

    Ashley assured me that she was in the process of contacting the regional manager for the area to rectify the situation and have someone come as soon as possible for install also took a little more off the purchase price as 10 a month monitoring. However I did not hear back from her and the soonest they were able to get me on for was the 19th of June which I received an email about. I was still under the impression (stupidly) that this lady was trying to reach out and get me in sooner. So I again get a call confirming this install the night before. Day came again close to end of install time 350 have not heard from the install person so I call. This time when I call I am informed that my appointment is for the 20th. I said it is not it was for today 19th have email stating this and got a call the night before extremely irate at this time ask to be transferred to someone higher up that can handle the situation.

    I was transferred to a man Steve (I think) who put me on hold to find out what happened again apparently this technician had an emergency and was not able to come. He told me that he confirmed install would be on the 20th and could offer me 10 off monitoring fee for an extended 3 months. I told him that this was completely unacceptable customer service and that I would like to speak with someone higher up.

    At this time I spent the next 40 min on the phone with Naomi who was a supervisor. She was pleasant. Confirmed she would oversee that the install would take place but that they were unable to do it today. I told her this was horrible practice the company was making me feel like an extremely lowest priority. She told me she would take another $100 off the product price bring my total off the product to 1587. However when we went over what was included it wasn't even correct as to what I was originally told I would be receiving so it had to be reworked and although she gave me another discount it would now be 1805.

    Seriously. I mean seriously you have got to be kidding me. I said never mind for that price I should be treated with much greater respect and have absolutely no trust in this company to handle any needs if they should arise. I had already requested my security deposit refunded. Never once did I get any follow up calls or calls to cancel appointments. Horrible practice.

    The only positive thing I can say about my experience with Vivint is the customer service representatives are very courteous. They listen and share an interest to solve whatever problems they can. The equipment is absolutely garbage and has been since the day it was installed. My panel has to be rebooted almost every day. The cameras drop out all the time. Much of what happens is never recorded on the hard drive. Updates that are supposed to be automatically downloaded only seem to get installed if I contact customer support.

    I've asked about updating my equipment and I would consider it insulting to be forced to pay hundreds more dollars for newer equipment when the equipment I have purchased (and still paying on) hasn't worked properly since the day it was installed. I'm wasting money on a service that doesn't do what is supposed to. I don't know about you but according to me, taking my money and not providing the service you should is called theft and I assure you I feel like I am being robbed!

    We met Marvin ** while he was walking in our neighborhood, selling. We struck up a conversation, and he introduced the product. He asked to set up an appointment to tell us more about the opportunity, and we sat down after my work the next day. He worked with us EXTENSIVELY on pricing, and set up a 0 percent loan for 60 months for the equipment, plus the service, which ended up around 110 a month, which for what we got was very fair. 5 total cameras, 2 new thermostats, smart lock, and a takeover of the old ADT system.

    Heres where our 1970's era system bit us and the poor installer in the butt. We had to spend 9 hours on the install. Now if you have a security system that has been through 50 years of upgrades and wiring changes, there will be some issues possibly, and if I had known how bad our system had been, I would have just done a fresh install. But our installer was a ROCKSTAR. Stayed from 4pm till past midnight, making sure everything was PERFECT. It was frustrating and I have seen installers quit a job over WAY less. His professionalism and willingness to stay late, and get it right the first time are a great credit to both him and Vivint. Brad, THANK YOU.

    Juan came and gave me a great deal on a new home smart system. Was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He was able to get his technicians to install my new system the same night even though it was really late. Customer service was 100 and this was such a great experience.

    Our service technician was very professional, polite and on time to do his job. He started working and continue to do so until job was accomplished. The technician explained each step as how to operate the alarm system. After explaining and showing the steps he actually let me experience with the monitor.
