    Carlos, the Vivint Tech that installed my parents security system, was incredibly professional & most important, extremely patient explaining how to work the new system to my 82 y/o parents. He would not leave until my parents were completely comfortable & confident using the new system. We purchased additional equipment, not b/c we were pressured, but b/c Carlos's knowledge & expertise what would be best & provide the best security for my parents. Attention to detail is essential when setting up a home security. Carlos was never rushed, taking his time to determine the best location for cameras & other equipment. As I initially mentioned, Carlos patiently worked w/ my parents, explaining & demonstrating how to work their new system until almost 11 o'clock on a Saturday night. It's very rare to see such a high level of customer service. Because of this customer service, I'm going to purchase the same system for my home.

    The live salesperson, Braxton and the Technician were initially not on the same page. Sales said one thing and the tech was saying another! Very unnerving!! The tech initially started off with negative answers to my questions and I actually said I was Canceling until he checked to see what I had initially paid for and was able to calm me - He even forgot the co2 sensor so I said never mind to it .... He also was supposed to have brought 2 yard signs and he only brought 1 .... My paperwork even said 2 signs ...I had to ask that he order me an additional one - (The 2 yard signs were a Huge deal breaker for me)! I am sad that the smaller keypads, 1 in my master bedroom and front entry do not light up like my older ones did - that’s make it very difficult to see in the dark! This is why I only gave 4 Stars! I do love the system and I am glad overall that I chose Vivint instead of ADT.

    I want to say that the whole time there with the technician & his services were outstanding. I didn’t however appreciate that customer service told me that the tech would be there between 12pm-4pm causing me to have to leave work for the entire afternoon just to have the tech get there right after 4pm. I understand that he is a busy but customer service should not have scheduled me at that time if it wasn’t going to be honored.

    I am pretty disappointed with how the installation went with our equipment yesterday. I feel like it was all done very sloppy. I feel like there was a lot promised to us and then when the tech showed up it was all under delivered.

    1. We don't qualify for the garage door feature. Not even using the part from Amazon you recommend. We are pretty bummed about this.

    2. The tech said they do not really do wall-runs on houses that have already been built. He reached out to his team and everyone else told him "no". They wouldn't do it. So we don't really have an option for a backyard camera since we don't want wires coming through our bedroom walls. He left with the camera and we are trying to determine where the best spot for it is now.

    3. The placement of the garage camera is less than ideal. I wanted it up higher out of reach. He stated he had to go through the garage since he couldn't use the existing wire and didn't want to crawl through the attic.

    4. The front door lock was put on crooked until I came behind him and requested it be straightened up.

    5. He struggled getting the back door lock working. So he detached the plate. Left the plate and screw on the ground on our patio. Drilled a massive hole in our door frame. And now this looks absolutely terrible. I am very upset with how this looks. See pictures.

    6. This morning I was walking to the front door and stepped on a screw. It was supposed to be screwed into the lock. This could have been a chocking hazard to my daughter. See pictures.

    7. Trash, wires and screws were left all over our house. Again, this is all dangerous to my crawling daughter.

    8. He also left the tool for us to figure out how to re-key our doors ourselves and told us we could google how to do it when I asked for instructions. Since it's something we have not done before.

    1. They bundled an outdoor camera instead of indoor one inside my office. Neither the sales nor the installation technician mention. The detailed email was sent after everything installed and I figure they charge on a product I don’t need.
    2. The panel itself was overpriced at $1799. I can easily find brand new on eBay with only 1/10 price. This is how they call no-hidden-fee. Well, every single penny has been added on the bill.

    3. The salesperson kept talking the panel was chip enabled and I don’t need WiFi to run the service. That’s partially true because it actually was running under my own WiFi and I believe it runs with cellphone data only when WiFi is down.
