The sales presentation and installation of equipment was epic; however, the salesman quoted me a certain amount on my buyout with my previous company and it was actually more. When I tried contacting him and Vivint by text and email, I was ignored. I had to pay my previous company an additional $277.88 that should have been covered in the buyout.

My experience as a new customer with Vivint has been good. I just feel they need to get their initial text synchronized. I received too many of the same text asking for the same information and that got a little aggravating. But other than that everything else has been on point. My installer was very friendly. Well knowledged and patient with me.

You get a thousand emails from the company but no information on how to get into the account to check out the financial part, no way to know when payments are to be taken out until it comes out the bank. Frustrating having to chase down this information. Also, in setup they show that you can zoom in on license plates for example and this is not true, it is very grainy looking.

My overall experience was good, but I was blindsided when I came back in the room and there were two holes in my wall. We rent and I asked if this was safe given the fact we rent and was assured it’s renter friendly… Holes in my wall are not renter friendly. I’m going to get in trouble with my landlord/management company and I’m not OK. And just now when researching for a receipt for this review, realized I was told they’re waving installation fees and there’s a fee listed on this receipt.

At first I wasn't interested but thanks to Daniel **'s persistence and professional mannerism. He took time to explain everything to me in detail and answered every question that I had. Towards the end he felt like a family member. Juan and the other two technicians that came to the house and installed everything were amazing as well. I just want to say thank you Daniel for your "won't take no for an answer" personality and the professionalism and efficiency of the technicians that came out and installed my security system. Suge was a great sales guy, super personable and did a great job explaining everything. He helped us pick the things we wanted for our home without trying to force us to get extra stuff and we loved him! Dylan did the install and was super respectful and quick, showed us how to use the system before he left, and helped clean up! To the Vivint team: please add a feature where I can record my own chime so I can record myself barking as the deterrent. I'm so serious.

The other bothersome part, is the deadbolt won’t lock, it just continue to click then say unable to lock, I contacted them. But haven’t had anything confirmed to when they will be here to fix it. They sold me on security. Yet the door won’t lock I’m sure my experience can be extremely different than others. This has just been my experience so far, I will say both guys are super friend and knowledgeable. Obviously sold me on the security. I am sure not every install goes perfect.

I had 3 people arrive at my rental unit. I had an accident and was not in good mental awareness. They drilled a hole through to the outside. When everything was up and running, I started getting bills. 1063.00 for equipment for a 900 sf apt. 89.00 per month for monitoring. I was originally told one bill. I am shocked. They have a finance company within their business. This company set me up on a 5-year loan. I am not happy and do not recommend these people.

Technician was great. However, when I spoke to the salesperson before signing up, they told me they had 360 cameras that I would be able to install at my home. Well, when the tech got here, totally different story. No 360 cameras offered; I was very frustrated and disappointed. Now I am scrambling to find a company/vendor that do have 360 cameras at a reasonable rate. Very unfortunate.

The sales person led us to believe we would be scheduling installation at a future date. As soon as I signed he promptly told us we were “lucky” and that a technician was in the area and would be here in 5 minutes. This was at 7p. Thankfully we didn’t have plans. 30 minutes later the technician showed up. At 10p they were still working. Keep in mind, they never provided how long the install would take. I had to ask her to leave because I needed to get up early the next morning. She agreed to come back at a future scheduled date/time to finish the install. She never showed up and now I have a half installed system. Horrible start. Needless to say, I’ll be cancelling.

I've had Vivint for about 3 months now. After being pestered to death I finally decided to go with them and over $140 for 3 months (equipment) which is fine, but was never connected correctly the guy that came over was nice enough but never completed the connection of the equipment specifically my Wi-Fi front door lock which is still not connected to the rest of the system they refuse to come fix it, which was never installed correctly to begin with. Instead wants to charge me to come out and fix it of course I refused. Furthermore it was super hard to ever get somebody on the phone and when you finally did was never any help and still wanted to charge to come out even after I explained the situation. I do not recommend these guys

Everything was so easy! Our representative Christian and his co-worker Wayne were very personable, assessed our needs, and found solutions that worked within our budget. Our installer, Kaleb, came quickly, worked efficiently, and recommended the best placement for each of the devices that were included in our package. After the installation, he walked us through all of the features and didn't leave until he was confident that we could easily use each of them. Kudos to the entire team! They deserve a superior commendation!

Had a great experience with Vivint sales rep. Marcus showed up. Was very knowledgeable and professional kind guy. Saw I was straight to the point type of guy and was very quick and helpful with what I wanted to know about the service. The installation techs Fuhy and Dillon were amazing guys, quick to work, professional and very nice. If I could give a zero rating, I would. Customer service is abysmal. The products don’t work as described. A camera should record what is in front of it, yet unwanted vehicles that come to the house are not detected. The excuse is that the doorbell camera cannot be set up to detect vehicle vehicles. Installer will place cameras anywhere on your home even if they are so far away as to be useless. They make promises that they don’t deliver on and schedule appointments when you pay extra for a technician who doesn’t show up. You can’t even get a supervisor on the phone to cancel their service. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I don’t understand how they have any positive reviews. Run the other direction!

PLEASE DO NOT USE VIVINT!! IT IS A SCAM. I got the service for "free" when received my solar panels. Based on a contract I have no copy of, it was free for 3 years and then I would be charged. I do not have my contract nor was I notified or reminded that this fee was starting. Imagine my surprise when I got my FIRST MONTHLY charge of $49.72 three days after it was posted to my account. I immediately called and cancelled. I respectfully requested my money back. After several follow up calls and emails, I found out not only would they not refund the first month but, since it paid in arrears, I will be getting charged a pro-rated amount to the date of cancellation. Their service is nothing you cannot get better or cheaper elsewhere. Trust me - I learned the hard way.

I’ve been a loyal Vivint customer since 2007, and I’ve never had a single issue—until I upgraded my system in June 2024. Since then, it has been one frustrating problem after another. The upgraded equipment has been defective from the start. Vivint initially refused to send a technician, even lying about appointments being scheduled. I had to file a BBB complaint just to get the system replaced. Unfortunately, the replacement system began failing again within a month.
I financed the equipment through a loan, and Vivint has acknowledged the system’s issues. They offered to cancel the loan and refund me what I’ve already paid—but this route results in a 1099-C tax form, meaning I’d owe taxes on equipment that didn’t work and that I no longer even have. I asked for a reasonable alternative: that Vivint refund the full value directly to me so I could pay off the loan myself and avoid a tax penalty. They refused.
Ironically, they already agreed to refund my out-of-pocket costs directly—which completely contradicts their claim that “all refunds must go through the bank.” Vivint chose the most convenient solution for themselves, and in doing so, pushed a financial burden onto me, their long-time customer. No ownership. No accountability. Just policy over people. Extremely disappointed in how this was handled. I expected more from a company I trusted for nearly two decades.

Very straightforward process. Had existing home security systems but Vivint's system is remarkably better in every way. Vivint uninstalled, disassembled our current setup and installed everything in no time at all. Once everything was installed, they then proceeded to give step by step instructions on how every component works and how to get the most out of their services. Friendly employees that were more than knowledgeable and will to assist with all questions. They even gave additional contact information in the event we had any questions in the future. Would highly recommend to others.

This company sucks I give them no stars. They think if they credit an account that makes things right. The sensors on the window do not detect the window open or close, nor do it detect if the sensor is on or off the window. The doorbell camera goes out everyday and have to be rebooted. They want to charge all this money and the service always glitching. Some footage doesn't even show up on the cameras. Nothing about this company is good and I mean nothing. They false advertise, Get you in this weird contract and want to charge all this money to cancel. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Then the rep told me it's a malfunction. Told me it's an existing sensor when the damn sensor came from their company. All they do is lie and scam.... Stay away from these people.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Vivint agreed to cancel the service portion of my contract due to system not catching an auto theft. I paid the equipment off and Vivint sent the service portion of the contract (against our agreement) to collections without notification. They acknowledge they made this verbal agreement per call recordings, but say they are not removing the charges because I didn’t call them when I paid the equipment off? I have had the same number and email since I started dealing with them 7 years ago, so closing the account as a non payment issue with no notice seems to be unethical to say the least. Not honoring their agreement and poor service all around.

This is a SCAM COMPANY!!! Their equipment is faulty, they LIE about not charging you to send replacements and then REFUSE to refund you when you send the faulty equipment back! The customer service team are all trained to and say that they can't get a manager or supervisor on the phone. I've made 3 calls about this and they all say the same thing.

Since day one I had problems with the camera system, Cameras stop working, cameras have a 30min delay, panel sometimes works, I talked to customer service and no help! Spent all this money for a system that's no good to me, I should have stayed with ADT. Never had problems. Customer service never sends a tech out. They have me doing all the troubleshooting.

I am travelling and got a message from Vivint that some sensors are not responding. SO I called Vivint and they told me there had to be a person in the house do a trouble shooting, otherwise I will be charged $95 for the technician. I have purchased insurance from Vivint for repairs, this $95 charge is a rip off. This is a company which just wants your money, definitely stay away from it.

Our Vivint installer was excellent—very knowledgeable, patient, and careful with his work. Our project was large and took many hours, but he stayed positive, explained everything clearly, and made helpful suggestions throughout. Truly a great experience with him. Overall, Vivint’s service has also been very good so far. From the installer to the agent who helped us, everything has been smooth, prompt, and easy. Since we’re new customers, we’ll see how the service holds up over time, but so far, we’re very happy with how everything has been handled.

After spending a little time getting familiar with the new system that i purchased I really must say it is amazing. I pulled to the house from working a 16hr shift and had the door unlocked and driveway light on all from my from iPhone. The convenience alone is top tier. The quality of your stream is the best I have had. This is coming from an existing ADT member and I had Arlo prior to Adt. User-friendly app so easy to navigate and this is so important!! The equipment is also very bougie I must say. I am beyond satisfied!! Plus the staff is outstanding!

Since the misleading manipulating salesmen stepped foot on my property I was lied to with every word he spoke. From that moment on from installation man to every other Vivint employee I talked to I was lied to, manipulated, and had strong-armed with low moral tactics pushed on me by every employee just so they can make a little commission. It’s sick what this companies employees do to communities by coming in with garbage equipment being sold by thug garbagemen supported by low moral having employees on the phone, the app and in person! Since minute one nothing worked right!! It slowed our WiFi down to nothing with us having the only provider with the biggest package in the area but when I asked salesman he promised it could support their garbage equipment!!
When I call for help they just told me it’s all on me. I should look into getting a better WiFi provider!! Nothing but smoke mirrors and lies to get you pass imaginary lines to trap you paying for equipment that doesn’t even work half as good as the crook salesman showed me on his iPad. All lies. I’m less than 30days in. Asked for cancellation and removal of the equipment since 24hrs in. But no. Lies lies lies and manipulation to get you stuck paying for garbage equipment for service that does not work. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Horrible horrible business tactics. No customer service while they all lie. This company should face criminal punishment for what they and their employees do to communities!!!

My customer service rep Steele was amazing at explaining EVERYTHING and applying all discounts possible!! I had a few issues after signing up that were VERY MUCH out of his control. Steele went above and beyond to rectify the situation and get everything taken care of. Steele provided me several updates (upon my request) regarding who my technician was going to be, name, and badge number so that would feel comfortable and know who would be coming to my home. He continued sending updates, even the morning of the install when the technician that was originally scheduled to come changed!! He’s AMAZING!!!!
Dalton was my technician!! He called when he was headed my way and arrived at the time he stated!!!! The job took about 2 hours!! Dalton was very patient with me being a little indecisive regarding some decisions that I had to make!! He explained everything very well. Additionally, Dalton walked me through how to properly operate my new alarm system, cameras and helped with setting up the app as well!!!! Just a little above and beyond! Dalton saw that the screws in my screen door needed to be tightening, without asking, he hopped right in and fixed that for me. He’s very friendly and so helpful!!! Very knowledgeable about the product as well! 10/10 recommend!!

I write to review Vivint in Connecticut, and particularly Vivint employee Dave **. The home security business is competitive these days and I've become a bit of an expert over the years. While I'd like to negatively review some of the companies as of late, I do not wish for anything to take away from the spotlight that Vivint deserves, particularly Vivint employee Dave **. Vivint quoted a price, has quality equipment, installed all equipment and stuck to all promises and prices. I was a manager in my career and Dave Boucher is an employee I would have called "a keeper," meaning you want to keep him in the company. First, Dave understands the big picture mission, he knows security systems cold, what you need as a customer and what they have as a company to meet that need. I do not recommend Vivint services. I got into a contract with them, had equipment installed, was charged thousands for this equipment over the course of 5 years. I agreed because I was told the equipment would be mine to keep once paid for. The service was spotty and got worse over time. After paying I called to cancel monitoring service they informed me that the equipment is mine but can’t be used without them. So what was the point of me buying it? Customers shouldn’t be paying anything more than a rental fee. Then there are techs coming to the house begging to let them install new equipment promising a free trial but omitting the double tech fees for installation and removal. Do not get entangled with these scammers.

The tech (Tyler) who came to to do my install was very helpful! He knew his stuff and was able to answer all my questions professionally. My only gripe is that the salesmen told me it was 10 days of recording (not 30 second clips like the other security companies). But that's not necessarily true. That is only on my outside cameras not the indoor cameras unless I upgrade to the more expensive cameras. Also the 10 day recording is only temporary. After a few weeks I lose that, and I would have to pay another subscription to get that feature. It was the big selling point for me and my wife and financing out thats not part of the package was pretty disheartening. I guess the other thing is that the salesman quoted me double the price, it wasn't until after I told him about the other companies I was shopping did he bring the price down to a competive number. Good day, Our experience, as first time clients, we like the system as a whole. However, there are a few things that must be addressed: The salesmen and the technicians should never do any late hour installations within family residences. Especially not during school nights.They shouldn't be in anyone's home past 5 or 6 pm. Families need to eat dinner, do homework, take showers and get ready for the next school day. We agreed to the installation at first, because we thought it would be a quick and easy process, however, it was not that. It affected everyone involved and due to the late hour, everyone was exhausted and I am more than certain that affects the quality of the installation and start up procedures. My tech Mason was amazingly patient. He helped me get exactly what I wanted in my package because more than I had asked for was on my package. He spent probably the first two hours contacting his manager and the sales rep to help fix my account before I made any commitments. When I first set up my technician appointment, I was told a certain price. And when Mason came, he was instructed to do more than I had asked for which would have been a way larger price. If it wasn’t for him, taking the time to hear my concerns and fix the issue I probably would have canceled my set up. He came to do the set up but ended up going above and beyond! 10 stars!

I should’ve known better when a young kid, a door salesman came to my house wrote down a no money down free equipment just monthly payment skit. We fell for it. 2 months after we found out we were in for $4000 for the equipment. We went back and forth with the company and their salesman. Anyways the sales pitch was all a lie. The cameras were no better than the night owl cameras I already had purchased for $400. Yes there is a fancy app. But too many technical issues. The app is always buffering. I get notifications about a person at my door. But by the time my camera stops buffering and I can actually see the camera the person is already gone.
The system is not worth the money. My thermostat went out in the middle of the summer and the soonest they could get a technician to my house was two weeks out.. I regret ever letting the salesman into my house. If you have kids, elderly parents or pet pets, you are putting them all at risk during the winter or the summer with no heat or no AC due to all the technical issues and delayed response (2 weeks). Buy your own Cameras at Costco or Sam’s.

This is the worst service I ever had. Very pricey, and the thermostat that was supposed save me money doubled my light bill. Had to call my ac/furnace guy do to other issues with it. They have been giving me the runaround for overc2 months. Hate this service, also my cameras freeze a lot and don't record right. Tech didn't fix, been waiting for a return label on thermostat for over 2 weeks. But they make sure they get there money. This happened 3 days after our trail period was over.

The installation was great except I wanted the camera floodlight 1/3 of the way across the driveway and they installed it less than 25% of the way across the driveway. I contacted the sales rep and he said he would get it taken care of and I was okay with paying the $75 if need be after spending $4,000 on equipment but have not heard back since. I had my security system installed today by DJ and it was such a great experience. I am new to the home security as I just purchased my first home. DJ was amazing in explaining all the different options, equipment, and monitoring that was available. He answered all my questions and was very attentive and truthful, especially about the monetary aspect. I can’t comment on the Vivint security on a monthly basis as I just started but if it’s anything like the installation process, I’m sure I will be very satisfied. I was going back and forth with just using the Ring system that was already installed vs resetting and using Vivint, and I’m so glad that I went this route. I was a Vivint customer for over 3 years and then sold my home. I called to have them cancel my account and I moved to another state. Many months later, they are calling and texting me telling me that I have a balance due. I discussed the entire situation and they agreed to clear my balance, and install a new system at my new home. We scheduled the installation, only for Vivint not to show up. Two months later, they are calling and texting again saying that I owe a balance. I regret ever agreeing to go with Vivint. Their customer service is substandard and flippant at times. They had a chance and they basically told me how much customers are valued with Vivint.

There were four guys assigned to our security project. Our first contact consisted of sales, there was an electrician and two installers. The debris from the install of the system was minimal and they kindly offered to vacuum it up. After the install, we were given detailed instructions on how to use the system. I recently had Vivint install security cameras, a doorbell camera, and a thermostat in my home. The team was professional, and the camera system itself works well, providing the security coverage I was hoping for. However, the thermostat installation was a serious issue. Vivint installed a unit that was incompatible with my newer Lennox HVAC system, and the wiring was done incorrectly—missing several essential connections. As a result, my air conditioning completely stopped working, leaving me without cooling during 99°F outdoor temperatures and an indoor temperature of 96°F. I had to urgently purchase a portable AC unit just to stay cool overnight until my HVAC company could replace the thermostat the next day. This emergency fix with purchasing the portable ac was one cost, but the replacement of the new thermostat, cost me an additional $1,917.
I strongly urge anyone considering Vivint’s thermostat installation to first consult with their HVAC provider. Their technicians may not be familiar with newer systems, and improper wiring can lead to serious discomfort, safety concerns, and unexpected expenses. Additional concerns: I believed I had requested an extra camera for one side of my house, which was not installed or included. I plan to follow up with Vivint to resolve this. My home is a standard ranch-style brick house with a typical roof, yet the team was unable to run wiring through the attic. Instead, they routed wires along interior walls. While they mentioned using tracks to conceal them, the final result is unattractive and unfinished.
I’m now considering hiring licensed electricians to redo portions of the installation to ensure everything is safe and up to code—adding even more cost. While I’m happy with the camera system’s performance, these issues have made me question the overall quality and safety of the installation. I hope others can learn from my experience and take extra steps to verify compatibility and installation standards before moving forward.

Vivint sales are horrendous! Buyer beware, Their contract states that you have 3 days to cancel but the sales rep never provided a time or it has to be with a specific department to cancel. All the rep states, if unsatisfied with the product they can be contacted any time. Failed to fully explain the the "buyout" is only 1000.00 and doesn't exceed over that amount. Tried several times during that 3 day cancellation period to cancel but never was able to speak an actual person. I have text poof of chat on the website with a rep name Sheryl G that was way before 12 midnight to cancel. After finally being able to speak with a rep on Wednesday at 5:43 am to get this going, they try to coerce you into keeping their product. Finally able to speak to the supervisor in "loyalty department" for a review on this issue. Never will recommend this company to anyone.

We were required to obtain a home security system to continue our home insurance coverage through The Hartford. After checking reviews, we had a Vivint security system installed. The people who installed it were capable. When we had a problem with a water detection part, they replaced the part but we had to pay for postage. When we switched from The Hartford to Allstate, the security system was no longer required. I placed a call today to cancel service (the only way to cancel Vivint) and paid per the contract 50% of the remaining charges. It took 70 minute on the phone to pay $110 to cancel the service. This business model is absolutely terrible! Although the service may be good, we never activated it. The cancellation policy experience was so bad that we will never return to Vivint although we own the equipment. Look somewhere else if you want a service-related company.

The customer service representative literally helped me step by step, showing no frustration or irritation when I didn’t understand something. Patience and kindness goes a long way. Especially when the person you’re talking to has dementia. The gentleman that installed the equipment was the same. Even gave me a beautiful compliment acknowledging my kindness towards him. No matter what, I didn’t understand or how many times he had to repeat himself, he did it graciously. The prod, service and pricing was worth the choice. Highly recommended.

Do not buy from this company, it is a scam!!! They put you in a 5 year contract to pay for equipment and regardless if it’s working or not you still owe. I had problems with my backyard camera for approximately a year and half. They would keep me on the phone for hours trying to convince me to buy more products but never did send a technician. I got so frustrated with them and continued asking for them to cancel my service, they wouldn’t cancel after begging them for hours! I actually had to call my bank in order to cancel my card!!! Please do not mess with this company. You’ve been warned!!

We had ADT, and after 3 calls to fix their faulty equipment, we called Vivint and switched to them. Once they were told we were cancelling they then wanted to send out someone to look at the system. Vivint installer was on time, polite and professional. Showed us how to work the system, and made sure we were comfortable using the new system. Love it, it is so simple and the cameras are awesome.

It’s our first time we get a camera service and we loved our agent that helped us. Alex explained everything with absolute patience and gave us options. Process was super quick and we had everything installed the same day. Our technician explained to us and ask where we wanted everything. He was quick and he did a great job by keeping everything super neat. He helped me set up on my app and explained every single button and its purpose. While Vivint has a decent product it definitely comes with its share of negatives. We had Vivint Service for a few years and then added on our home. When we had the tech come out (because it is not self user friendly and requires a tech) he said we had to upgrade the main screen/board to add more than 2 cameras. At this time, the cameras we had, the clarity was not very good. So we added the 2 cameras and continued service. A year or two later in 2023 we wanted clearer cameras and went with Ring & Reo to get the most for our money and tossed the old Vivint technology in the trash. Called Vivint and cancelled service (or so we thought). They said it has to run until September 2024 per our contract. Okay whatever! Not good but if we had a 3 year contract ok.
Fast forward to today, still getting billed monthly (no bills come email or mail) and today I called again to find out this thing is still on a month to month loop even after contract expiration & termination! What a scam! I called to cancel service again today 1 year later (50 minutes of my life I will never get back). It said the call would be recorded. Okay how about the other call we made to cancel 1-1/2 years ago, was that not recorded? The Rep today said they could not credit (even though we do not have the hardware or service) and would get one more monthly bill! What a horrible company! Do not contract with this company! These loop contracts are such a scam! How about as a company just do better!

We are currently very unhappy with Vivint. The sales guy (Zac) came and got our business and then the installation guy showed up at 9pm. He worked for an hour and said that he would be back on Friday, Aug 1st (10-12 noon) to finish installation and guide us thru setting things up. Then we were told that Vivint would come on Monday, August 4th between 10 and 12 to finish and then the next day as well. Yesterday, we got a text at 10:14am saying that someone would come between 10-12noon. That never happened. I see the value in the product and I’m grateful for it. However the salesman was very unprofessional. He was extremely pushy and aggressive. The first time he came he walked into my kitchen where I was cooking. Instead of taking a seat on a chair. (my partner let him in) Super weird and was right next to me as I was cooking. Very uncomfortable experience. Not only that my partner's credit isn’t good so when they ran mine he got cocky and his responses became inappropriate.
I asked a question regarding how the credit check works and he told me “you don’t need to know that” extremely dismissive! Then proceeded to say “actually it is a valid question”. How rude, any question I have is a valid question. If you don’t know the answer to my question just say that. I was having a bad day and him invading my space in the kitchen, his weird snappy comments led me to pulling my partner aside and having a conversation about this person’s actions.
We came back out and I told him how I felt. I’m not happy the way I reacted but he really pushed me to my limit. I told him to please stop with the snappy comments. I’m very disappointed we gave him the sale and wish it was a different salesperson. The product itself is great and something my partner has been wanting to have installed so he’s excited about this. He also mentioned at the end before he left the salesman asked “Is she **?” What does my race have anything to do with this??? Weird, inappropriate, maybe even discriminating.

I felt like this was a good deal but then realized there are much better ways to go. The equipment is far too expensive. In less than 48 hours I faxed and emailed my cancellation. Confirmation by email and phone. NO one will call me back to schedule an uninstallation or pick up of this equipment. I now have to set up a stop payment through the bank. It's been 5 days and CRICKETS. Do better Vivint.

I’ve never had a more frustrating experience trying to cancel a service. I was a long-term Vivint customer with a paid equipment plan—this wasn’t a lease or rental. I owned the system outright and left it with the house I sold six months ago as part of the sale. I made it clear to Vivint that I no longer live at the property, no longer want any home security service, and that the system was paid for and left behind for the new homeowners. Despite that, they continued to push me to transfer the account or install new equipment at my current residence. I repeated multiple times: I do not want new equipment. I do not want to transfer anything. I just want to cancel this subscription. That message was ignored.
Instead of honoring my cancellation request, I was pressured to provide the buyer’s name and phone number—which I do not have—and even asked who sold the house for me, which is irrelevant. After 20 minutes on the phone, they still wouldn’t cancel. I was told I had to send an email to initiate cancellation—after already explaining everything in detail. For reference, the service number provided during my cancellation attempt was **.
Vivint needs to make cancellation straightforward and stop putting the burden on customers to do their legwork. I should not be responsible for tracking down strangers just to stop being billed for a service I no longer use. I will not be recommending this company to anyone. Final takeaway: If you’re considering this service, be prepared for a smooth onboarding and a nightmare exit. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values their time, sanity, or basic transparency
