    I like the system although the sales person didn’t sell me a complete system. My windows are unprotected and the package didn’t have a padlock. I will need to buy them separately. When I asked he told me that he misunderstood and I felt like he just didn’t care or that I couldn’t afford it. I still have to figure on my own how to set up the app. The technician didn’t tell my husband how to do it.

    I have had a couple issues after installation. First my thermostat caused my AC to blow hot air. That was resolved that night. I was also charged a $199 activation fee that I was told would not be charged. I was told that this would be refunded and it’s been almost two weeks and still has not been resolved. I also have not received the buy out money I was told I would get to pay off my Brinks contract. I am working with the salesman trying to get that figured out so we will see where that goes. I have intermittent issues getting the app to communicate with the house mainly locking the front door or opening the garage. It’ll work sometime but not every time.     Our equipment does not look like it was set up correctly. Our front door continues to error even though it looks like it's locked. They didn't clean up an outlet that they used for an outside camera. I also don't think I got all my equipment that I ordered. They were here for a while but recommended that I reschedule for another installation for the remainder of the equipment I ordered but now that probably means I have another set of installation fees. Vivint is used within my family, this is our second home where we want it equipped but didn't have that great as a service as the first time.

    My sensors has not communicated with the panel for over a month. My door lock continues to get stuck. I have changed the batteries on the door lock and it still will not turn all the way when unlocking it with the code. I have to manually unlock my doctor for my children to get in. My alarm system continues to beep, and I have to reboot it every morning to stop it. I have called Vivint over two times about the issues and they are unable to fix it. I was informed that a technician had to come out to fix the issues. I was told that a technician cannot come out until the October 22, 2020 which was a month away. I told them to cancel my services. The representative had the nerve to try and sell me a new system. I refuse to buy a new system as you had my system for about 13 months.

    I was transferred to a new department to have my services canceled. I was told by a new representative that someone will call me to schedule an earlier date to get the issues fix. I agreed as it seems the new representative want to keep me as a customer. I never received a call but I received an email with a new date for a technician to arrive to my home, October 27, 2020. This mean that I have to wait over a month to get my system fix. Please keep in mind that Vivint did not provide or offer a credit to my monthly service fee for a non-working system that is not securing my home. This is unacceptable customer service from this company.... I decided that I need to shop around for a new home security system due to Vivint lack of care.

I called the company and text them numerous times and they were aware of the situation, they should’ve immediately replaced him with someone else but they opted not to do that. He did not have all the required material even though the company knew in advance how many cameras I had.     We had a technician come to the house to install the alarm. He never included the upstairs windows, basement, motion detectors or patio doors. We tried for two weeks to get someone out to connect the system properly, but every time we called, the hold time was about 45 min to an hour. Finally got through and set up an appointment, and they never showed up. Also, if you have an issue, you have to work with someone remotely who is reading a "how to manual" and pay for someone to actually come out. They asked us to pay for someone to "fix" an alarm they installed 2 weeks prior.

    I selected Vivint as my home security for the past year. I can only say my experience with both the equipment & customer service. I have to rate a fail on both. There is no follow through from Supervisors or phone reps. The customer loyalty department baits you to resign with a extended contract. If I'm not currently happy, what would an extended contract change? There are times when my app wouldn't work in the midst of an active alarm. The system at times would allow me to view my recorded video camera clips. I initially at sign up paid off my equipment so I wouldn't have any issues with long contracts. I moved & the tech was supposed to uninstall & reinstall at my new place. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I explained that I was a disabled veteran & needed the tech. I've been reaching out for the past week but customer loyalty hold times are massive. I finally get someone on the phone to be advised my services were cancelled.

    I am not happy or satisfied with the outcome. After about 4 hours of installation was completed, I was able to recognize, that my expectations were not met. I am very disappointed. I had a car come to my driveway & my phone never advised me of the car being parked in my driveway. I tested the system with my own car several times, it never notified me on my phone, & it wasn't recorded in the system either. Also my garage overhead door, was never set up to alarm me on my phone or home monitor, the same for my door bell & back door camera movement. I was also very disappointed, because my equipment, which was removed, monitor etc was taken from my property without my permission or knowledge. I plan on canceling my service within the next 24 hours.

    The installer, Tyler was very nice & very attentive. He was very professional. He was very honest & was not aware of what happened with the equipment after I asked for it. I am under a contract with Brink's & I didn't want that equipment removed for obvious reasons. There was another technician who arrived with Tyler, of whom never identified his name. He left after 30 minutes without my knowledge. He never came back. Tyler was left alone to complete the installation. Also, I was never advised that they had ran out of signs to be placed on my yard. I wasn't aware that no signs had been placed on my yard, until minutes after Tyler left my home, after I noticed no signs were placed I called Tyler, he mentioned they didn't have any. As we were talking our phones dropped the call.

    I never heard back from Tyler to complete our conversation. I feel the best & wisest thing for both Vivint & I is to end our newly started relationship since we don't have good communication between us. I am a very busy person, I don't have the time to chase after errors or keep making appointments to make it right. I believe in doing things right the first time, & good communication is very important to a customer. This is how a good business relationship should always start.
