The system is Awesome, and easy to use. The technician was so knowledgeable of the product and installed it so well! This is the first time a tech hasn't installed my alarm and made a mess! This young man is very courteous, kind, and wore his mask ALL the time. He explained the process very well.

Christina was efficient, informative, patient and friendly. She took the time to explain what was taking place with the installation and was patient with my understanding of the equipment use. She also took the time in answering all of my questions. I will appreciated the fact that she quizzed me before she left to make sure I understood how to use the equipment.

Eric was very professional and thorough. Explained everything in detail and would gladly recommend this service to my friends!! With this system and the features it provides I can feel safe in my home and know that when I’m away my family feels safe as well. Jose did a Great Job selling us this new system! Micah was Great at taking his time installing it, making sure all were hooked up properly! He also made sure we were completely connected with our smartphones correctly. They both answered all questions we had for them thoroughly! I do believe we are going to like this new system very well! We both feel more safe & confident this will give us great peace of mind while on trips away from our home! We Thank Them Both for their patience & kindness through the whole process! We Highly Recommend them Both.

Very pleased with everything, the installation the explanation about how everything works, I can tell I am going to love this cámera system. Now I am going to feel safe leaving my house. And also being able to talk to my kids from the cámeras is really cool even if I am down the street.

The install was great. Brandon, the smartphone pro was professional, took care of business (install was done in 3 hours), but also made sure I fully knew how to use the system and all its features. Would recommend to friends.

Everything from the consultation to installation went smoothly. Derrick was personable and candid and explained everything upfront. The equipment looks great. Apps run smoothly. I'm especially pleased with the Nest thermostat and being able to control the temperature from my phone. Happy with my new home security system.

Sales and setup were easy, thorough and quick. Both reps were able to answer any question I threw at them and both were able to give insight from their experience with having the system. Our technician was very patient with putting the cameras in certain areas and actually made me rethink where to put a few to maximize the view. Really love that everyone I've met has been so friendly.

I was pretty hopeful as things started out well with the salesman and installer, however, My control panel died the next day after Install. Not a good start to our 5 year relationship. Good thing there is a several day eve ape claus.

After moving to Tucson, I shopped around online for home security and visited Consumer Reports website. Vivint was, as usual, top ranked. I had liked using it in a previous home so I called Vivint. The installers, Seth and Clint, were outstanding. They were both very professional and great at problem solving. Seth did an incredible job of explaining to me how everything would work and helping me think through various security and safety situations. Great guys!

I am a "transfer" customer ADT. Thus far I am pleased with what I have seen thus far. I guess time will tell how well customer service and all other options workout. The service tech "Ryan" was very personable and explained all bells and whistles of the system.

Everything about the process was easy. From talking to the sales rep for the best options for what we wanted to the install technician. Both were very knowledgeable and helpful. Tech took his time and confirmed placement of the panel and sensors before attaching equipment to the walls. He also walked me thru the panel and app. Would definitely recommend to a friend/family. I also really like that it’s cellular so it can not be hacked and we can talk directly to the panel.

My experience with Vivint has been less than stellar. I have had absolutely no follow-up from the person who sold me the system. He promised he would be in touch after the scheduled installation. I also had conflicting information from the installer and salesman. The young man who installed the system was more informative. I did not receive a yard sign from either of the young men. I have questions but I am not sure who to contact.

The agent and the installer technician were very professional and educated, the agent was very accommodating to my needs and explains the transaction clearly and precisely, the technician is fast and clean. The only disappointment that I have is about the system that it can integrate all my devices but no my siren. I install my siren for a cop recommendation and it works great for me and my neighbors. I wish you could integrate them into your system.

First let me start off with the technician. The technician hit a wire causing a the fuse to switch that controlled my kitchen and pantry. He did this twice, he hit a live wire twice, in my home. After doing so he proceeds to say that it is fine and I don’t have to worry. He is no electrician mind you. So my gut told me this was not fine. I advised him to call a supervisor to get the wire location checked. I, the customer had to find an electrician to come fix the problem he created. Which in fact there was a problem. He hit two live wires in the wall. He was going to leave without even fixing the mess he made. This was a huge safety issue for me and my family. He could have caused a fire.
The “technician” then proceeds to my master bedroom closet where he is for several minutes. I smell something burning coming from the location. He tells me he burnt out his adapter to take over my hardwired system. All this within the same hour of almost burning down my house the first time. He is unapologetic. They have to then reschedule for the next day after creating so many issues in my home. They do not have anymore of the equipment needed on hand.
The new technician comes out the next day. Thank goodness, he advises me of the equipment I actually need. Awesome let’s get it done. Nope not so fast. The technician prior closed and finalized the contract without even completing the installation correctly. Horrible. After installing the necessary items in my home I was then charged for that. I had to wait a week for reimbursement. It took weeks to correct with contract/Loan to which point I have had to be the one calling and calling and calling. I’m not exaggerating when I say this. I must have called approximately 15 times in order to follow up trying to correct the contract/loan agreement. They had several cameras on there and equipment on there that was never installed in my home. Vivint falsified a loan with equipment I didn’t have and I’m the one who had to call them consistently in order to correct this.
It has been nearly a month and everything is finally being corrected after several calls. There is never a supervisor on hand. They say they prioritize you but they really don’t. Cannot, will not recommend this company. Also these representatives say they will follow up with you and call you back. They never do. They won’t. You have to make it a priority to fix their mistakes that they make. They jeopardize my home and my family and are unapologetic towards the issues. They could care less about their customers and only want your money. I cannot emphasize this enough. This has been the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.

Love love love the features that come with Vivint's tech. Especially the outdoor cameras that allow you to speak to people from them and the ability to see everything that is going on from our phones. Chad ** set us up and he was fantastic. He helped us put things in the best places to keep the character of our home. We initially went with Simplisafe and are SO GLAD that we switched to Vivint instead!

I had an old wired home security system that used my land line for connection to the home security company provider, so it took some effort to get the new wireless system to work. Some of the wired sensors no longer worked as did the motion sensor, but they were replaced with wireless sensors at no extra cost. The old system could only be controlled from the panel keypad, but this new system also works with a keyfob and my smartphone. Both the salesman and technician were polite, competent and helpful. I recommend Vivint based on my positive experience.

Used this service for many years. Then in 2019 you refused to fix a back door sensor. Then said we had to pay 500 dollars for update. Just terrible. Never fixed back door and we refused to pay for update. Bye bye.

Installer professional and knowledgeable. Phone Salesman not so much. Very pushy! And didn’t answer question directly. He was like a politician in a debate. I wanted to hang up on him. Appointment scheduled and I was informed of changes. Equipment was available and installed with good explanation of use.

Vivint is the biggest security SCAM, PERIOD. Their sales agents exclaim false promises and lie to your face. We were promised that if we moved, we could have our equipment transferred to a new home without installation fees. As an alternative we were promised that when we moved we wouldn't have to pay any buyouts, and everything could be transferred to the new buyers. In addition, we were promised that we could reach out to them in the event we had any questions. On top of it all, we were promised that every promise they told us was in the contract. Sure enough, everything they promised, was opposite in the contract!
-There was no way to transfer our equipment to anyone, unless the entire balance was paid for.
-We could not transfer the equipment to the new homeowners even if they requested to take over the payments.
-The buyers couldn't request to take over the service, Period. We had to verbally approve this transfer, even though the buyers told us that they called and completed the service transfer well in advance before closing.
-We could not terminate our service contract without paying off the equipment loan in full, period.
-"There is nothing we can do" was a manager's favorite response.
In order to close on our home, we paid off the loan in full and sent the required documents along with our case number and manager sign-off to the provided email address, along with verbal approval to have the buyer take over the service. Then it gets better! We called again after receiving yet another monthly bill. Had to get transferred 3 more times when we called Vivint, explain the entire story again. All to have them tell us that the buyer didn't have to take the contract over because they were an active Vivint customer. This was an outright lie, because the buyers were living with their children for the past 2 months looking for a home, and didn't have any form of security system ever installed in their prior homes.
After 2 hours and another manager argument, they said there would be no charges and this charge would be credited back in a few business days. This never happened. Next month, we had closed on our home now over a month ago. We get another service charge. Needless to say our next conversation wasn't pleasant, and after another 2 hours, they credited back this past charge. Vivint can go rot in a hole. Better off with ADT or SimpliSafe, 200%.

I called in for the system not working properly. The rep tried to solve the problem but couldn’t. On the second call weeks later that rep didn’t follow through, suppose to send equipment. Rep came out and fixed issue had to replace system.

The individuals that presented the product were good but needed to be more defined in some areas. They kept telling us to be flexible with technicians schedule. Did not inform us that the technicians would be there immediately once we agreed. Did not take into account that individuals have to go to bed for work the next day. The system was not completely operational until10:30. My husband had to call out of work as he gets up at 2am for work. We did inform the two individuals selling the product this information numerous times. Asked that it be installed a different night but was told it would not take long. All the members associated with Vivint were very nice but they need to also work with the homeowners.
Customer service needs a little work as once we realize that the sensor for the garage was not programmed into our panel we called to ask for technician to come out and correct that and was on the phone well over an hour trying to get this situation taken care of. At one point was told that they could not do it and the item was too old but yet all other sensors had no problem connecting to the unit. We eventually did get him to send a technician but it will be two weeks out. Also they did not test the ability to speak from the unit to the door bell and camera and that too does not work at this time. Work order has been put in for that as well.

The tech was polite. He showed me how to operate everything, but it will take me some time to get use to. He answered the questions I needed. He walked me to each door to show how it operated. Installer arrived 2.5 hrs after install window of 8-12. I had to call Vivint twice to inquire on the status of the install. While he was professional, he did not wear a mask at all times while in my house. He did not clean-up before leaving. Also I just found the two new keys of the new door lock he installed, on the floor next to the front door. No yard sign was left apparently because they are out of stock (I know this because I called Vivint inquiring about the sign). On a positive note, he was able to get me the right starter package based on my needs and the fact my home was pre-wired with alarm devices already installed.

The biggest thing that I was very disappointed was with the installation. When I spoke to the representative and ordered the service I was told I could add my home cameras that were already installed. Just to ask them, they said most cameras are compatible. When he came he said no, didn’t try to see if it was compatible, he said if it’s not Vivint they are not compatible. I explained that when I ordered they told me they are compatible with most cameras. The technician didn’t even try. He said iIf it’s not Vivint we can’t. Very disappointed with that.

The sales guy and the installation guy were good. The company need a little restructuring. The company wanted to give me an old doorbell for the price of a new pro doorbell and would not bend on the price even though my old panel would not support a newer mode ringer. I guess they dont need the business.

Recently moved into a home where the previous owner had Vivint already installed. The process to get it unlocked and transferred to my name was frustrating and difficult. I tried the online chat, no help. They gave me a number to call.. I was transferred multiple times and put on hold almost every time. Someone finally got on to help me that I could understand and we were finally making progress. Then he told me that I HAD to pay an activation fee (understandable) and then had to pay for a month of service even though I didn’t want it and expressed it multiple times and asked if there was any way I could get any kind of discount or anything. No luck.
Had to wait over an hour for someone to call me to activate my panel. Then I had a few issues I needed help with to get my thermostat in order...couldn’t understand the lady very well and she kept putting me on hold. I wound up hanging up because I was beyond frustrated with the whole experience and my thermostat still isn’t fixed. Extremely disappointed.

I love Vivint. I have had it at my house for the past 6 yrs and now I just had it installed at my Mom's so I don’t have to worry so much about her. I’m sure that she’s also going to be happy with it. The installer was great too.

You learn fast to use the system. Not difficult at all. So far so good. The camera are very clear. You be able to communicate without stepping out of the house if someone at the door. If I recommend it yes no doubt. Great system.

So far, I have been pleased with Vivint. Kenneth, the installer, was thorough, informative, and personable. I have used the in home and app made for this system, and both work well. One concern is that the door lock doesn’t have a handle for those who need to replace the door handle to get the remote lock. I’ll need to manually install a handle to open the door. Other than that, I’m impressed with the system.

I made a decision to change alarm companies from ADT to Vivint since I was at the end of my contract. I contacted Vivint to see what they offered. I was able to run down all my current options with sales and they provided a quote. For the most part this what was discussed but sensors was bumped up in numbers. This was no big deal as the on-site tech would review options when they showed up.
Tech arrived on time and he reviewed my options and reviewed what I had installed. I noticed that they included a takeover kit and I was familiar with that and the tech reviewed what I had and stated they could take over my window sensors. This saved quite a bit of money. Everything else was installed as requested and quote was adjusted saving me several hundred from initial amount.. Tech was friendly and answered all my questions. He gave me a thorough walkthrough of my system and help get everything set up. You have option of financing but will be on contract for 5 years. But if you pay in full there will be no contract.

John, my technician, was on time, professional and courteous. He was very knowledgeable about the system and made sure I knew how to use it. I’m happy to be a part of the Vivant family. I was also left with his business card for future questions.

Salvatore was the best technician I've ever experienced. He patiently explained everything in great detail while displaying exemplary customer service skills and he was very knowledgeable about his craft. He assured me that I would love Vivint, and so far he's right! I look forward to a feeling of comfort and security with Vivint.

When deciding which security company we would choose I had an estimate from ADT & Vivint. My estimate with ADT for equipment was $2300 and when I spoke to Vivint it was $78 including monitoring fee for a 3 year commitment. Not until the day of installation I find out it’s $4,000 for a 5 year commitment! This did NOT include monitoring of $39 per month for 5 years is another $2340. I should have known this info when signing up for service not be surprised at installation.
