    I like Appliance Direct's location and convenience. I like the steamer in the dryer I purchased. Their sales rep was good but I wish the delivery guy would have done a better job. He said he would not be able to hook the dryer because he didn't have a valve. He ended up selling me a hose he said was needed for 30 bucks. However, he ended up not using it and also was not able to hook it up, my husband had to do it. It was not the greatest service by the delivery guy but Appliance Direct was decent overall.

    I bought a refrigerator from Appliance Direct because of the price. They were really good on the cost. They were a couple hundred dollars less than most of the stores in the area on that particular size refrigerator. Moreover, I had a good interaction with the sales rep.     We recently walked into a close by Lowe’s, but nobody acknowledged us. And since I do not like Home Depot for personal reasons, I told my wife, “Let’s go down to Appliance Direct.” A young salesman greeted us and left us to look around for a washer and a dryer. Finally, I called him over, asked a few questions, and then got basic Maytag washer and dryer from them. We hadn’t planned on buying a dryer, but we decided we’d go ahead and buy both of them. The salesman said they could be delivered the following day, and their delivery guys were fantastic. They brought the washer and the dryer in, took the old ones out with no problems, hooked up the new ones and bingo. It was excellent. I probably am going to buy a new range too and I’d definitely go to Appliance Direct first. Their service is great too and I’m real happy with it. It was a pleasure to do business with them. And, I also like Sam Pak and his ads.

    I found out that a leasing company I've dealt with before were also working with Appliance Direct, so that was very good for me. The salesman of Appliance Direct was knowledgeable, consumer-friendly and provided excellent customer service.     It's always been great dealing with Appliance Direct. The guy that I dealt with answered my questions, told me about the stuff and was willing to work with me even though we messed with each other sometimes. Other stores didn't have all the Maytag stuff that Appliance Direct did so I got their Maytag kitchen appliances which were all stainless steel as I wanted everything to have that feel to it. Then when I saw that the backend of the Maytag range was all black and stainless steel as well, I ended up with it, too.

    When I went back to Appliance Direct, I was only gonna buy the refrigerator from them and get the rest of the stuff from Sears to save money. However, when I got there, I saw that while a little more expensive, their whole other setup all matched and the refrigerator had some handles that I liked a lot, so I got it and ended up paying extra. Appliance Direct has been doing me right. The last time I bought a Maytag washer and dryer from them again because of their good prices. There's always something that I liked better about what they had than Sears or anywhere else. Also, their people seemed to help me out and weren't pushy in trying to make a sale unlike in Sears where I feel like they're trying to sell me something really quick.

    I’ve shopped at Appliance Direct quite a bit. I went there to buy a washing machine and when I walked into the store, I knew which washing machine I already wanted. And when I told the sales representative which one I wanted, he immediately told me, “Oh, I wouldn’t buy that one. I would buy this upgraded one. You know it’s only $100 more.” Well, to me $100 is a lot of money and I don’t like the fact when I walked in there, they’re trying to upgrade and sell me something else that I don’t want. So I was quite upset. But the store itself, Appliance Direct, is a good store.

    The sales rep. Jeff at this location was very rude to my wife and she asked what would I have to do about cancellation of the microwave. So he said she would have to come down to cancel the order and I told her not to so they called her saying the microwave was in and within the hour we went down to pick it up. He went and sold it to another customer when it was still on hold for us. Then when we confronted him about it he said they will have to reorder it and now it is on back order and said it would be in on April the 28th. So of course it isn't in. Now a week later it still isn't in and he is saying if they reorder it again it wont be in till March 10th. So how many times do we have to order the same appliance. This will make it 3. Not happy with this location or the sales rep. We will never go here again.

    My family and I have always gone to Appliance Direct. It’s familiar to me, and there’s no way that anywhere else will be able to beat the prices that they have. This year, I bought an over-the-range microwave, and then two days later, I went back for a dryer. The sales rep was very friendly and willing to help and go out of his way. I needed my dryer ASAP and he made sure that it was done. He told me that it would be brought that same day, which was on a Friday and that the driver would be calling me shortly, which he did.     I bought machines from Appliance Direct which consists of a Whirlpool, dryer and washing machine. The sales representative was good but the delivery people were not. The time frame they gave me was from Monday to Wednesday. It's hard because we're working people. You need a day off. They took forever. I waited a little bit more than a week to get my machine. They didn't stick to the date they said we were supposed to get it and I had to take a day off for no reason. And even the time, they told us about 4:00 o' clock, between this time and that time but they didn't show up until almost 10:00 o'clock at night. But so far I don't have a problem with the machine. It's not noisy and they lasted a very long time.

    I scouted around and bought a microwave a couple of months ago and a refrigerator a couple of weeks ago from Appliance Direct because of the price. The young salesman was good and knowledgeable. When I looked at the refrigerator, I told him that the things they have were all stainless steel and I needed a white one. He went into the office and a manager was there. He came back and said, “Hey, this refrigerator here dropped $100… but today is the last day.” I told him that I'd get it, and as thing went on to be finalized, I asked how long it would take to get a white refrigerator. The manager then refused and changed the situation, and told me that I won’t get the $100 off if I wanted to buy a white one. To me, that wasn’t right and I didn’t like that. We were ready to walk out and he never changed it back, so he made a major mistake.

    I wanted to a get a refrigerator real quickly and so I just got that one as my wife and I were bent on it, however, normally I would’ve put that on him or there would be a no sale because of the way he did it. But the guys that came and delivered the fridge were on time and perfect. They had to take the front door off and put it back on. Then they ran down the whole thing on the refrigerator, got it all set up and did a good job so I was happy with it overall.

    We purchased a washer from Appliance Direct 14 months ago and it totally tore up. It was 14 months old and had a year's warranty. The part was going to cost $500 and a new washer was $599. I have bought quite a lot from Appliance Direct because I could buy from them cheaper than have something repaired. They have such huge quantity that they can price things lower and usually, most things would last longer. It was only that washer I have really been dissatisfied on, and the repairman I got out here said that Whirlpool must be having huge problems with the washer.     I recently bought a dishwasher from Appliance Direct because of the cost. The sales rep was good although we had a problem as far as we bought the extended warranty and there's been some issues in how that was represented. Actually, we've been on the phone with them yesterday trying to get things ironed out. Initially, we called the warranty company to check and be sure that our warranty was registered and they showed nothing. That was a couple of weeks ago and they said we could call Appliance Direct. And the latter said, "Oh, it's just not in the system yet. Give us two weeks", and call them back.

    So we called them back on Monday and they still didn't show anything in the system. We were obviously a bit annoyed. But then we spoke with the manager of Appliance Direct last night and he said that it doesn't go into effect after the manufacturer's warranty. That was not revealed to us and to me. It's like they're depending on us to forget about the whole thing. It's misrepresentation.

When I found Appliance Direct could and would, we went there. Our salesman was good. He was very accommodating and helpful. We liked him. We ordered the fridge at 7 o'clock at night and we got it the next day, and I was happy about that.

    However, the refrigerator doesn't make ice. We called them back and they don't have a service department so they couldn't come and service. They do have a company that they use to do service, so we're working through a second party which didn't make me too happy. We called last Friday, and they couldn't come until Wednesday and that wasn't too good. I called the Whirlpool factory and they said they'll take care of it and will come today.

    It seems to be working now, but we're waiting for the serviceman to come and see if we could find out why it stopped. It's not the Appliance Direct's fault. But when I spend $1,200 or something, I expect that they could take care of it and look after it right away. It’s their downfall. You will have to depend on somebody else that they can’t control.

    My niece is a contractor and she buys everything from Appliance Direct, so I recently purchased a Maytag washer from them. The sales reps were very helpful and knowledgeable.     I had the displeasure of doing business with the Fruitland Park store. I purchased a washer and dryer from them and to be fair, their rates are good. Once the items were bought, I scheduled the delivery and installation for Saturday. The manager Jeff said that I would be contacted between 0800-0900 that morning advising when they'd be by. Did I mention, that I'm in the middle of moving? Did I also mention that I'm moving from Orlando to Eustis, an hour away? Well I got to the house in Eustis by 9, and was waiting. Around 9:30 I called the store and Jeff rudely says that if I was going to get a delivery I would have gotten a call.

    After he offered his sage advice, I reminded him of our previous agreement, to which he abruptly said he'd call me back. Fifteen minutes later, I had to call him back, and I got another associate, Steve who after sharing my plight was kind enough to state that he just got back from a 2 week vacation and had no idea what was happening or how to help me. He was very quick to pass it off on Jeff saying that he's the manager and he'll have Jeff call me back. Before I had the chance to ask him when I should expect a call, Steve hung up. So I called back. I shared with Steve, that I was in the process of asking for more details when he hung up on me and I asked for the supervisor on duty. Wouldn't you know it... Jeff is the manager on duty. This day just keeps getting better. Steve tells me that Jeff is busy with a customer and will call me back. When I dared to ask for a time frame, he said he didn't know when Jeff would be able to do so.

    At this point, I shared with Steve, that I am in the middle of a move. I also shared, that out of respect for them as a company and a business, I showed up on time at my new home to ensure that I would be here to allow the men to deliver and install my items. I had respect for their time as a company, where was their respect to me? I explained that I currently live an hour away and that I scheduled my time in the middle of moving to be here as agreed. At the very least, either he or Jeff could have the courtesy to tell me when I could expect a callback. He sullenly agreed to interrupt Jeff for me... how kind! So Steve comes back, and says Jeff will call back, I asked him for an idea of when my items will be delivered, and at least for an explanation of what's happening. He reminded me that he just returned from vacation and has no idea.

    So I asked him to go back to Jeff for a time frame of when I should be expecting his call. He begrudgingly told me 20 minutes. I told Steve that I would be calling back at that time, if Jeff doesn't call. Lo and behold, Jeff calls in 19 minutes... and hangs up. So here I go calling back for the third time. What do I get ladies and gentlemen??? An unprofessional manager who cavalierly states, "yeah we made a mistake and forgot to put your order in, we can't get it to you until Monday". At this point, I'm livid, and I'm so frustrated that I wouldn't bleed even if I was cut. All I can see is the time I'll have to miss from work on Monday because of their error. He has no remorse, just a canned response of "ma'am, I can understand your frustration".

    I'm yelling now, and almost in tears, because like most working class Americans, missing work, affects our pay. I'm explaining how his lack of follow through, has led to my move being completely thrown off, how I had to drive an hour to be here on time for an appointment that was confirmed days before AND most of all how I'm going to have to miss time off from work. He still said I'll have to wait until Monday, and I had to argue and press for a time frame. His response to my frustration was that it wasn't his fault because he didn't take the order and that if I wanted to yell at someone, I should yell at the person who took my order. This is what pushed me over the edge.

    As a manager, he didn't have the emotional intelligence to know that in the eye of the customer, HE represents the company. He couldn't even comprehend that when someone is negatively affected by another person's mistake, pawning it off on yet another person, only makes the situation worse. I left that interaction feeling as if this man and by extension this company, didn't care about how I was affected by their error. They didn't care about me as a person! There was no true ability to see me as a human being who was negatively impacted through no fault of her own. I felt like a number, something useless because they had already gotten what they wanted... my money. Way to go to make me feel valued as a customer.

    We’ve lived here a long time and Appliance Direct has always been where we buy our appliances. They have the lowest cost in Brevard County. This time, we bought a dishwasher and a refrigerator, and we’re pleased with the purchase. The fellow who helped us pointed out what they had available, asked us specifically what we were looking for and matched his inventory to our desires, so it worked out really well. He was very helpful.

    We had our purchase delivered and installed by an Appliance Direct personnel. They helped us in a couple of significant ways. First, they got it into the house by taking off the doors for our sliders. And then secondly, the kitchen space occupied by our old refrigerator was not large enough to put the new one in, and they helped me take down the cabinet above the old refrigerator so that the new one would slide into the same space. The only misgiving that I had was that after they put the slider doors back, one of the doors did not close totally so there’s light between the door and the house. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would do it again.

    I have purchased a few items from here and never have been given such a hard time as recently. I purchased a washer and was told that my existing washer would be hauled away at delivery of the new one. It was left in my yard. When I called back the delivery guy he told me that he would not come back and pick it up because the casing was not intact. So I called Ed the store manager who was argumentative and told me that I signed a paper stating that this machine would not be taken which I was not provided with a copy of so I am unable to verify. I then said I'd rather return the machine and buy from your competitor and Ed told me I'd have to pay another $50 to do so.

    I paid $1150 total for this washer and planned on going back to get the matching dryer when I close on my house at the end of the month. I also planned on purchasing an entire kitchen package from this store for my new house but now I will be going to your competition for all future purchases.     Appliance Direct had the washer and dryer that I needed so I bought from them. However, the sales rep was like a car salesman trying to upsell me. I did a lot of research and went in wanting a specific model, but he kept telling me he didn't have it in stock. Then he said that for a couple hundred bucks more, I can do this one, and then for a few hundred dollars more from that, I can do this one. The haggling kind of made me angry. We picked up the product ourselves because delivery was expensive. It is a newer one, doesn't have the agitator in the middle which I'm not used to, and also takes over an hour to wash one load of laundry. But I like the ding that it makes instead of the buzzer noise and that it has clear, plastic top lids. I would return it but couldn’t because they say I can't return anything to Appliance Direct. They don’t give refunds at all which makes me mad.

    My sister bought her washer and dryer in Clermont from Appliance Direct and I live nearby so she recommended them to me. The sales rep tried to approve me for the credit but I was told it would take seven days to find out whether I'm approved or not which was crazy. Their financing needs to be better. So I paid cash upfront but there was no discount for paying cash. There should have been so I was disappointed in that.

    I was also misled on when the delivery of my stove was. The delivery guy was very ugly and called me that morning even if I was told that he wouldn't call me until after 10:00. I'm working first two hours in the morning because I do home healthcare and cleaning business so when he called I couldn’t hear the phone ringing because I was working and vacuuming the house. Then we got into an argument because he told me that he wasn’t going to deliver my stove because I wasn’t answering my phone and they would have to set up another delivery day. He also claimed that they should have given me a paper about the delivery saying that he will call between 8:00 and 10:00, but nobody did.

    However, they did deliver that afternoon but that was after I called the store and told them I was going to come back, take my money and they could keep the stove. The delivery guy did apologize for the misunderstanding. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what the deal was, but I told them they almost blew that sell. I know they tried to make it right. It was raining and I'm sure it was difficult for everybody. So maybe it was a little miscommunication. But they were really nice. I got my stove and I was very happy.

    We got a washer and a dryer from Appliance Direct and I'm thankful to have them. So far the quality is excellent. It's done all of our washings since we got it about a week ago. And the price was definitely better than anywhere that we've searched prior to going to them. They delivered the appliances a day early for us because they didn't have a truck the next day, and the guy who delivered was really nice.     We had a very good experience with Appliance Direct. A lot of people say that Appliance Direct is a good place to go, and there's one right in Merritt Island, so my sister Loretta brought us down there to pick out a washer/dryer, but they didn't have it in stock. The sales representative was very nice and said, "I'll give you all the paperwork on it and call you as soon as it's in stock." As soon as he had them in stock, he let my sister know and we were able to get the sale done quickly. With everything, she ended up paying about $1400. She also got a good warranty on it.

    The washer/dryer we got from them is fantastic, beautiful, big enough, and the price was quite good. We love it. We like best the fact that the washer does not have that agitator arm in the middle, then you can put comforters in it and these don't get caught. It's got a big drum you put your clothes in. The company rep called before the delivery crew came out and they came in the time that they were supposed to. They were fine and hooked everything up beautifully.     I'll definitely be back to Appliance Direct. Their prices are good and so far the service has been fantastic, and it's very encouraging. I live in the neighborhood and had driven by there. I got a dishwasher from them sometime last year and I made another purchase of a refrigerator last week. I first got the refrigerator floor sample. They delivered it and everything seemed fine. It had a little dent in it but for the price, it seemed like a really good deal. But after delivery, the lights weren't working. They would come on sometimes, flicker, or just didn't work at all. I'd kept calling Appliance Direct and they set up an appointment and didn't show up. When I called, they said it showed that it got postponed. So I set up another one and then two days before they're supposed to show, they called and said they wouldn't be able to make it and wanted to reschedule.

    So I walked into Appliance Direct, told them the story and they made me a good deal and I bought the exact same refrigerator, brand new. I got a call from the delivery people and they showed up after an hour. I waited for them because I was supposed to get rid of the other refrigerator. The guy was very polite. The refrigerator was a tight fit through the doorway so he disassembled the door until he got it in and there was no damage. He had everything and showed me how things worked. There were features that I didn't even know about because when they delivered the former model, it was missing something that they didn't even bother telling me about. Now everything's perfect. It's a very nice refrigerator. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the service.

The dishwasher I took delivery myself and the price was better than competitors and has worked flawlessly and is so much quieter than my old model.     People, please understand Appliance Direct return policy. If you used the appliance, they will not take it back. My husband spent a lot on a new washer/dryer set of Maytag Bravo XL's. The worst set ever! Clothes gets so tangled into a ball after wash, going by the instruction manual and comes out super wrinkled. The dryer is not able to bring out the wrinkles. Appliance Direct is not willing to do anything, they diverted us to the manufacturer, of which doesn't want to stand behind their product. Have peace of mind and purchase from another retailer! I would give them ZERO rating if I could!!

    I purchased a GE French door fridge from Appliance Direct. The warranty that came with it I had already used. The stripping around the third door came off. It's never worked since. I went to other Appliance Direct stores to get help since the one I bought it from went out of business. It's a beautiful item.     I was told by the salesman, who happened to be a general manager, that the range I had selected was a Gold Series, I wanted the Gold Series to match my dishwasher and future appliances. I was told the range is a Gold Series because the ring in the Whirlpool logo is gold. That is not true, all the rings in the logos are gold. I went to another appliance store where I purchased a refrigerator and microwave and there is where I found out my range is not Gold Series. Why did the person at Appliance Direct have to lie to me?     I am having the exact problems the other person with a french door refrigerator I bought from Appliance Direct. It doesn't make ice, they have been out 3 times. Replaced the ice maker the last time - now it not only will not make ice, it constantly has water running all over the floor from ice I buy and put into the ice bin. In the past several years, I've bought many appliance for our business and home. This was the last time. I just bought a new stove and convection microwave from hhgregg.     After we renovated our kitchen, we purchased all appliances from Appliance Direct in Melbourne. First the roof of the microwave/oven combination began to peel. We contacted Appliance Direct and were told that there was nothing they could do after we spent about $2500 on the appliance. We purchased a second one directly from GE. Then our dishwasher began to leak and has ruined part of our wood floor! The repairman told us that the dishwasher had been repaired PRIOR to our purchasing it...we bought it as new!

    Now our refrigerator is having issues, and I am sure we will have to replace that, too. Someone we know had dealings with Appliance Direct in a capacity other than a customer, and we were told that the merchandise is nothing but seconds. No one tells you this when you purchase from them...they take your money and smile! And you pay again!

    I understand I bought a used dryer and the heating went out. What I don't understand is why it will take 2 weeks to send a service tech out to fix it. The dryer is less than a month old. We live down the road from the facility that repairs the products. However when I called they could only give me an appointment 2 weeks away and just apologized. I offered to bring the machine back for a refund but the Manager told me they would have to service it before that. There was no solution for me as a loyal customer. I got upset and told him that 14 days into a 60 day warranty is not acceptable and he proceeded to patronize me.

    The more I said "no this is not acceptable and it is not the customer's problem that you are busy" - 2 weeks is not an acceptable time line for a product I paid for in full and picked up myself. If there were other factors involved then I would understand. However I did not expect this type of treatment from a Manager/Owner. He then hung up on me. Customer service and quality assurance is completely lacking. I will now only seek out businesses with high quality service.

    Purchased a French Door Refrigerator Approximately less than 3 years ago. Experienced Problems with the Unit. Immediately called Appliance Direct and we were sent to service. It was the Ice Machine not making Ice. 3 times we had Service to Fix it but they could not figure out the problem and we were told its just the model or our water supply, etc., etc., etc... WELL less than 3 years later, I HAVE A HUNK OF JUNK. The unit leaks water all over our floor because Ice builds up on the bottom so we have had to put a towel on the floor so we don't slip and fall.

    Now here is the kicker. We have to every two weeks defrost our freezer manually or else the ice is building in the back of the freezer creating a loud buzzing noise so we called Appliance Direct Corporate Offices and told them that from Day ONE we have had problems. Now they have come to a point of not livable anymore. I was promised a call back but no one has even bothered. I bought my Stove, Dishwasher from them in the past and they also have problems. I will never buy another appliance from this store because it seems odd that they don't replace items that are not working when you first get them and obviously in my case don't last. We spent quite a bit of money on this refrigerator that has never worked right now not working without hours of work every two weeks putting our freezer food in a cooler and defrosting it the old fashioned way for hours just to have a functional freeze and don't forget having to use a hair dryer to get all the water out of this fairly NEW appliance. Disgusted In Winter Garden, Florida.

Not only were we exhausted by the high prices and uninformed salespersons at Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's and H.H.Gregg but we were weary of salespersons who simply were so rude that they were not interested in hearing our dreams of what our new Townhouse could be for us. Once we visited Appliance Direct near us, not only was the salesman courteous to the other salesperson ready to help us as well, but he was courteous to us. I was in a wheelchair and my husband knew what kind of refrigerator he wanted, so I could reach the drawer below instead of above, etc. We wanted all stainless steel. The salesman knew all about the latest perks in stoves and what they can do nowadays.

    Also the dishwasher capabilities were fabulous and news to us. The garbage disposal plus the microwave were also much more modern than we dreamed. All in all, the selection; the experience of selection, and the total price came in well below our expectation and our budget limit. Hallelujah that we found Appliance Direct. Now for the 'rest of the story'.

    The next year, my husband retired, we put our townhouse up for sale. We sold it to a lady from NYC who was blown away by the fabulous appliances which included the washer and dryer on a base that raised it up to make it easier to do the laundry - this was something our salesperson recommended. Well our place sold when most were not selling and we moved to a gated community in Central Florida, and yes you guessed it! We went to the Appliance Direct nearest to us in this new location... Fruitland Park, FL. We selected appliances that fit our new budget as retirees. We picked out a refrigerator that has a scratch on the side that is up against a cupboard so it will never be seen. The old dishwasher was not able to get the glasses sparkling clean but the dishwasher the salesperson highly recommended turned out to be perfect for us. Not only does it wash the glasses, leaving them sparkling clean, but it holds so many dishes of various shapes and sizes. It is so much better than any we knew was on the market.

    The total cost was well below our retired and fixed income budget limit. I don't know what better recommendation we could give when purchasing what we consider to be major purchases. God bless the salesperson and store manager and also the delivery men who certainly made these purchases a good deal for us, for sure! Delivery and setup was so smooth. Those men took away the old appliances we did not know what to do with and did it so easily. They know how to move big heavy appliances with ease. They even smile while moving them. We wish we would have taken pictures of us watching the new dishwasher slide into place just perfectly, and the new refrigerator being hooked up to the water line so only pure water would come out of the ice maker. The look on our faces would have shown that we had made the very best purchases possible. So glad we kept looking until we found Appliance Direct.

    I went to the Winter Garden store to buy a refrigerator and the manager on duty named Ron ** was rude and simply unprofessional. I will never go there again. Come to find out he's a felon. I don't know who the owner hires but buyer beware.

    I purchased three appliances from this company. The deal was a good one, almost too good...

    First, refrigerator, (no complaints) other than it was the floor model (looked at it in-store and marked it with UV marker, black light showed it was the same one) but works great.

    Second, dishwasher (so far so good) delivery arrived took the old one ($25.00 fee) (installed the new one for the low low sum of $110.00) slid under counter, hooked power up, connected the water line for that fee.

    Third, in wall range, took measurements in, gave measurements to mgr. no problem... Found the model and size. Delivery installer driver arrives. Comes in and says it's $200 to install the new range and they're gonna have to cut the hole bigger, he says they see this a lot... I have them remeasure the new range 3" wider & 3" taller than the one in wall now. Driver says, "You're gonna need new cabinets because this isn't gonna fit or lose the under drawer to have the correct fit"... (That would be $200+).

    I then explain to the driver the Appliance Direct Store did not mention the delivery, install, removal fees at the time of purchase. The Driver explained they are a sub contractor for the store and they charge a fee. (I can't type what I told the driver here on this site) But did tell him to take the range back... He explained they don't normally take the appliances back, but since the unit wouldn't even fit with out remodeling the wall unit they would take it back. The driver then explained the fancy appliances only last 5-7 yrs, unlike the units made 30 yrs ago (funny that's what I was replacing, 40 yr old appliances).

    I called the store, spoke with a mgr, they are going to try and find one the right size or will refund my money... Judging from the other comments here on this site that may become an issue, but we will see... Judging from the fees, one would think it's better to go to the name brand stores as in the end you're not really saving any money... Buying from Appliance Direct really is WACKY NU NU...

    We purchased a new expensive dishwasher from them and signed for it upon their delivery people leaving it. We just got around to unpacking it a few months later and found out someone had dropped it denting the stainless steel! They said there was not anything they could do since "we had signed for it"! They use local "poor un-bonded delivery firms" to deliver their goods and are at best "delivery monkeys".

    The local Minneapolis firm, Island Deliveries, did not cut the box off the wood pallet but instead turned it over damaging the dishwasher and took the crate off it and left it still boxed inside our home... We thought it was undamaged and signed for it!! LESSON - Buy locally!

    I bought a washer and dryer less than a month ago from Appliance Direct. Neither one worked properly from the time I got them. The delivery men stated that something was wrong and I called the store. I was told to see if the problem continued and that if it did, they would exchange it. Of course, the problem continued so I called back and was told a repair person would have to come and try to fix it before they took it back. The repair person came but the problem with the machines have not gone away and now they refused to take it back. They want me to wait for another repair man to come out and fix the machines that never worked to begin with. At this point, I don't trust the company and just want my money back.

    I bought 4 appliances unfortunately from these people and brought them home, had them installed and 2 of them don't work. GE Microwave blower/vent fans don't work. After I paid to have it installed, had to pay to have it uninstalled and returned to store to get my money back. KitchenAid diswasher, paid to have it installed and during installation, we looked up online to KitchenAid website and saw that half the parts we needed were missing. I have to pay more money to order parts! This was not what I had bargained for now that dishwasher is costing me more time, headache and money. Be very careful of what you buy at this store.

    I bought new in the box but they tried to deliver floor models or scratch and dent models. Neither machine's serial numbers matched what we saw in the store. Delivery was by a subcontractor who did not wrap either machine with as much as furniture pad. When I called to dispute it with Jason, he offered me money off or come all the way back to the store, 35 minute drive, in order to get my money back. The driver was arrogant and just wanted me to take what he brought so he could move along to the next stop.

    I put my oven on for self-cleaning for 2 hours. When it was done my oven inside glass completely cracked and glass went into the oven. My oven is now unusable. Is there anyway I can get compensated?

    Appliance Direct is selling an LG refrigerator French door stainless steel/black/white for $1377 like it said on the TV commercial. And when you go to the store, they sell the stainless steel one for $1777 when the TV commercial advertised the LG refrigerators for $1377. I'm not the only one who noticed the deceitful commercial.

    I emailed the company, complaining about this matter, and 30 minutes after, I received a call from a person saying that he's the spokesman for Sam Pak and a store manager, indicating that the right price for the stainless steal fridge is $1777 and that Sam Pak is giving body language to the audience saying the price of $1377 is the black fridge which I think is bull. Sam Pak said very clearly that the price for all 3 LG refrigerators colors.

    Appliance Direct is currently advertising LG french door fridges for $1377. The commercial that is currently running on TV shows a black, a white and a stainless refrigerator and a price on the screen of $1377. Also, the guy in the commercial says $1377. However, when I called Appliance Direct to check the stock only the white and black ones were $1377, the stainless was $1777. I asked how can that be the commercial clearly shows all three colors and only one price.

    They said I'd need to contact the company via email to dispute the amount. So I emailed the company via their website and 45 minutes later or so I got a phone call from Steve (apparently the East Colonial store's manager) saying that "Sam" (the guy in the commercial) was pointing to the black refrigerator during the commercial. So I asked why the white was the same price then? He didn't have much to say except those are the prices. So they are advertising the fridge for one price but not selling for that price. They are not willing to clear up the issue either.

    I've done explaining what happened. This is my second complaint. I need to know who to contact to get my money back from Appliance Direct. They sold me a bad washer that is not working and want me to pay for that. It's not going to happen. I will take it to court first. I want my money back or talk to someone that will help me get my money back.

    I bought a WPL top load washer for 421.65 with taxes on 2-5-2010. I've got only one wash out of this machine and I was told that I couldn't bring it back and that I had to use the service department first to see what the problem was before they could do anything. That was fine. I did that now. The service technician is telling me that the parts is overseas and he don’t know how long it is going to take for the part to get back, maybe 1 week or 2. He really don’t know where the parts are coming from and all I want is my money back.

    My refrigerator was not working properly the weekend of Feb. 1, 2010. The bottom part was not cold and the top part was too cold. I called Appliance Direct and left a message because they were close over the weekend. On the 2nd of Feb., Appliance Direct called and said they had a work order for me and wanted to send someone out. However, the refrigerator seemed to be okay that day. I called them back and told them that the fridge seemed okay.

    A few days passed and the fridge does the same thing. So I call back. This time, I am told by Carol to call Frigidaire since my 4 year extended factory warranty is not covered by Appliance Direct. I call them and call another number to get an automated list of service technicians. I call one. I called Johnson’s Appliances. I asked him if I needed to call Appliance Direct. He said no. He said he could look on his computer and put the info in it. He comes out, replaces the thermostat. He calls Frigidaire to get paid. They tell him he needs to have the contract number.

    He starts giving me a sad story that he won't get paid. I asked him if I paid him and would I be reimbursed. He said yes. All I have to do is call and wait forever to get the contract number. That means waiting forever again to get a human.

    Since my time is not valuable, I pay him and proceed to call and get the contract info, etc. I get the info and call Frigidaire. Then they tell me that the warranty is through Bankers Warranty. So, I call them. Hours of waiting, being transferred and lied to, another roller coaster ride of uncertainty unfolds.

    The bottom line is; Appliance Direct referred me to Frigidaire instead of Bankers Warranty. Nobody wants to accept responsibility. I have been transferred so many times. I have never had a problem like this in all of my 40 plus years with any company. Nobody will call me back when they say they will. Nobody will give me a name, address or phone number of a corporate office. The people that I spoke to refused to give me their business address or last names. They all have mine though. The real kicker is, my fridge is still not working correctly. I am out 170.93 dollars. I have lost food due to improper temperatures. I have spent approx. 8 hours trying to get somewhere. Bankers Warranty will not come out because I had an unauthorized technician work on the fridge, which means I have to pay for any additional parts/labor for the unauthorized technician. Will someone please help me! I am sick to my stomach over this whole ordeal. I am out money, time and patience.

    I have had 3 new ice makers installed. Now my lights didn't turn off and melted the whole top of the refrigerator and all the food on the top shelf. I purchased a 4-year warranty from the store, thank goodness. But it is going to take the repairman 2 weeks to get a new kit. I am not sure how this is going to work. I am afraid that even with a new kit, we will have a fire. The top above the bulbs is bubbled and dripping. I am not sure if there is any alternative. I really want to give this $2100.00 hunk of junk back.
