This is a follow up on my first post about how lousy these people are. After initially being quoted a price of 55.95/mo and when I didn’t take the offer, they lowered to 44.95, so I took the bait. I was told they were the #1 and all operations were in the US. After I signed up I saw a commercial saying you got two months free if you signed up and since I hadn’t been offered that, I called back to claim it. I called and got a foreigner (from their entire “US” staff). I was told my 2 months free was included in my 44.95 price, something I was never told. We had never discussed the 2 month free initially. They said it was divided and spread across 1year payments.

I was told this plan could be cancelled anytime, so why would I want to have them spread across a year? I asked to speak with a supervisor and never got a call back. But when I put my first review on line, I was contacted the same day it was posted. They left a # to call/text. No answer to my text and the phone number doesn’t answer with identification, but goes directly to “hold” music and never gets answered. After not getting a response, I started calling every # I had. I finally got through to the person who contacted me in regards to my review. She gave me the same BS that the “free 2 months" had been figured into my initial offering and tried to convince me that I had gotten an exceptional deal. She tried to overtalk and intimidate me, but she tried it on the wrong person. I demanded this policy be cancelled immediately. She said she did it, we shall see. I encourage everyone who has dealings with this bunch of scammers report it to the FTC as I have.

I am a customer and I recommend the coverage for a neighbor. Now, I'm embarrassed to have done. The service tech they hire are the worse, they lie about the work and tell the company that they work without doing the job. The company does not respond for their behavior and does not solve the issues that arise with their techs. The customer service is the worse. They are very incompetent and can barely speak properly. They are all out sourced outside the US and can't solve any issue. They are very rude, and unprofessional.

Horrible! I was recently hospitalized and returned home on oxygen so I couldn’t leave initially. I realized my refrigerator was not working. I lost hundreds of dollars in food and had to have food delivered. In spite of this, I was required to wait for help. The service company did come quickly but wasn’t qualified to do the repair, nor did he refer, although he stated he would. I contacted AHW who stated it was covered under the manufacturer extended warranty. You couldn’t have told me this days ago? The company is LG and I have dealt with both in the past with a different refrigerator and was told yet another wait. I opted to go buy a new, non LG refrigerator because at this point I’ve spent tons on delivery and I’m trying to heal so I need fresh food. I regret purchasing a long term policy because of what the future could bring.

I have the Gold Shield plan that covers up to $5000 dollars on my HVAC unit, My Air Condenser stopped cooling my house so they sent their technician out on July 31st. He sprayed the condenser with water and said he unclogged debris, It worked for a few days. Once temperatures reached high levels again it stopped working, I contact tech. He said via text there's nothing more he can do. It needs replaced, I have that via text still, So AHS sends him back down August 13th to verify it needs replaced. He comes back down and says that the unit needs replaced and that he submitting paperwork and estimate which I seen through AHS portal, A few days later August 18th I see in the portal that repairs are completed, So I call them and they said there's no mechanical issues. Unit is still running.

I call their technician and he said he submitted it as not fixable and to be replaced, So I called AHS and they told the technician that they will be sending me a price quote via email which I haven't received, I'm a disabled vet and I'm sitting in a sweltering hot house by myself with no cooling, I've been a Gold member since 2021. I want answers and will be filing with Attorney General in Illinois and Tennessee, I just want my Air Condenser fixed.

AHW is by far the worst company I have dealt with. Not just in home warranty, but all companies in general. Not only do they have no willingness to compromise, they have 0 willingess to even answer their phone when presented with an issue. That is, if the issue costs them out of pocket any more than $50. I needed a new refrigerator replaced, and they became ghosts. Never heard from them again as ice melted and food spoiled in my broken refrigerator. It seems like they might have gone out of business- like they should be. They are from NJ though, so watch out for a new startup of AHW, but with a completely different name.

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst customer service experience of my life. Numerous phone calls and emails promised and never received. They were so difficult to deal with. The first time I waited to contact them about the unresolved issue ended up paying $467 or so for the warranty itself plus 2 $100 dollar services calls. They offered to "replace" my dishwasher with $246. I cannot find the dishwasher needed for less than $400. When I spoke with the representative for the escalation phone call she basically told me it's not her problem and quoted the contract. I should not receive an email stating the product will be replaced if I am going to have to come up with half of the replacement cost. I spent at least 12 hours on phone calls trying to get this single issue resolved. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Stay away.

This company is a scam - I don't even think they exist anymore. They have been sued by the Attorneys General in multiple states. I personally filed a complaint against them with the Ohio Attorney General, and I filed a dispute with my credit card company to recover my premium (luckily I got my money back). Consumer Affairs, you should be ashamed of yourselves for even putting AHW on your website, with "pros and cons." That's LAZY! Consumers rely on YOU to do the proper research and publish correct and up-to-date information.

I bought AHW (Amazon Home Warranty) with a Neighbor's recommendation and the service SUCKS. I'm not sure if the Neighbor had any stake in it. Wish there was a Zero or No Star rating. If you want to lose your money go buy this sucker's choice home warranty.
