We recently had the Pulse system installed in our home. The original installer did not test our internet connection prior to installation. When he finally did we found out that our internet was subpar for the Pulse system, therefore it does not work to its fullest potential. The original installer came alone and tried to do a two man's job in one day, by the end of the evening he was flying thru the house installing all the window sensors and window break sensors haphazardly throughout the house missing one room and installing the sensor unsystematically or uniformly in each window. For aesthetic purposes it looks horrible. Of course by 9 pm we were ready to get him out of the house, felt bad that he had to drive back to Phx from FLG and didn't realize he had done such a poor job (we didn't double check his work, he was a lot of talk without follow through).
We called ADT to have the missing pieces installed and to have the sensors remounted, and to have the timer for the doors set so that when we drive thru our garage doors the 'alarm' doesn't go off, or walking thru the garage access. A tech came, said he had fixed the timer but hadn't. Thankfully we learned the first time and checked before he raced out of his job with our home to a job in Page. The alarm went off, not the warning alarm but "The Alarm". The technician that came up to fix the timers gave excuse after excuse for the poor installation to begin with ie: stuff was in the way of the windows, there wasn't anything in the way that wasn't mobile. (We were there and had there been things in the way or anything needed by the original installer we would have gladly have accommodated.)
We pressured him, the tech who came up to fix delays, to reinstall all of the window sensors, which he did without care and we have had at least one sensor fall off in the house, we didn't have him touch the garage. On top of all of that my husband had told him he wanted all of the sensors in the same place in the house and in the garage. When my husband walked away he doubled checked with me, as if it try to get a different opinion. This is just a small summary of our experience. If I could do it again, I would go with a different company. ADT service is lacking when techs are at customer's homes and the wait times to get a hold of ADT for service is ridiculous and they never call back when you put in a request. We'd be better off to set off an alarm to get customer service.

I am very satisfied with ADT and follow their instructions related to testing, battery change, etc. I wasn't the original purchaser but after asking for information for initial installation, where window and door sensors, etc. were installed, I received information and keep it on file. If I happen to forget to test, there is always a call on my message machine to remind me. I always tell friends that I like ADT and recommend it.

For the last 15 years I've had excellent service from ADT. So when my son Jonathan talked about getting a security system, my recommendation was naturally ADT. He just had his system installed, and I know he won't regret it. He loves the high-tech features that allow him to lock the front door and adjust climate control from anywhere with his iPhone.

We entered into a contract for the installation of a new recorder, a monitor and 2 cameras for our Capitol City Building in Charleston, West Virginia, 25301. We are happy with the installation and the equipment is working ok. I received a call from an ADT collection person last week advising that we are past due in the amount of close to $450. After checking with John **, the local ADT Manager who I did this transaction with, he advised we still owed $190 + tax plus 4 months fee for an on-going service that we did not request and never entered into a contract for this monthly service. Nor have we ever received an invoice for the $190 monitor.
After inquiring about this with John, he informed me that he had discussed this with me on the front end and that it was ADT's policy in all contracts to include this monthly service. I informed John that we never had this discussion and also that in 40 yeas in the commercial property management business that I never entered into a contract that included this on going monthly service. John sent me a contract supposedly showing where I agreed to this service and also I signed the contract for this service. It is important to know that the signature on the contract for this service we are being billed for is not my signature... It is not even close, which means that my signature has been fraudulently signed to the ADT contract.
Please note that I hand delivered a $190 + 7% sales tax check ($203) to your ADT office yesterday and asked to speak with John and he would not see me. I gave the receptionist my card and asked that John call me. Also, when I returned to the office I e-mailed John and asked that he call me so we could resolve this issue immediately. He has not called or tried to contact me. We want to resolve this issue immediately please. Please contact me immediately at **. Thank you.

I opened my front door. When I went to close it the alarm would not let me set it. The customer service person walked me through the manual way to set it. The person who came to fix it told me it was set up wrong on my front door. Since then I've had no more problems.

Sensor malfunction. The technician arrived within the window given, solved the problem efficiently, and then checked out the total system. He was courteous and knowledgeable and left me feeling confident again in my system.

ADT quickly responded to a recent smoke detector alarm at my house. My contacts were notified and fire department. Once they recognized that I had tried to reset the alarm using my passcode, and talked with me, they called off the fire department. Thanks for the quick response and the personal 'handshake' to make sure everything was ok.

ADT has been a rock when comes to home security. Always there to aid and help at all times, not only in times of crisis. They are there to answer any questions or comments in a timely manner and price protection is very reasonable. Protection from not only burglaries but fires as well. I would definitely recommend ADT services to any, all in my community, friends, and family everywhere!!!!

The technician arrived on time, was polite, knowledgeable and professional. He worked quickly and finished the 4 Windows within 20 minutes. He left the areas clean. The technician is a credit to the ADT company.

Never have a problem except when there's a power outage, the ADT system runs on battery backup. While our power has never been out more than 3 hours in the near 9 years we've lived here, it's still discerning that it will only last 8 hours on the battery, and it goes down when our phone system goes down, because it's all linked together. I do wish our emergency system and phone was a separate entity. I get really nervous when the power goes out, and my husband goes away on business. We check our system once a month, and have never had an issue that it didn't work.

I called in because our battery is running low and I was unable to locate keys to our box. When I spoke to the customer service rep she advised me that the keys are probably on top of the box, which they were! She then told me where I could find a replacement battery and how to replace the battery. The customer service rep was great help and I was on and off the phone in the matter of a few minutes, I did not have to hold for long at all.

For me ADT is great. I never had any problems with them. They are always there for you. I think they are the best. I would recommend them to all my friends. I can't say enough about them. I would never change to a different security company.

Police were informed that our garage alarm went off. We do not have an alarm there, only in the house. They were there in minutes, which we were glad to see however, felt it unnecessary. Shouldn't ADT have called us and, perhaps, held off an unnecessary visit from the police? OR, should we have just called 911 to report. The police of our small city were happy to oblige! We appreciate ADT!!

The system notice the battery in one our side door wasn't working. We receive a call to alert us of the problem. We call back to see what we need to do, which was buy a Lithium Battery 123 to solve the situation. Thanks for your help.

I did not realize ADT was calling since it was an 800 #. Neither did the second person, so the police were called. I was glad the system worked and that the alarm had been accidentally set off by the cleaning person. I do wish the # came up as ADT.

Recently an unfamiliar 'beep' began sounding every few minutes. I wanted to make sure that it wasn't an ADT issue, and when I called, I was quickly routed to the correct department, explained the situation, and the lady was helpful, patient, and understanding as she walked me thru the process of making sure my ADT was working properly. I eventually found the source of the 'beep,' but I was greatly comforted in knowing my ADT service was secure.

I purchased all equipment and a prepaid 3 year contract. For that 3 years I was thrilled with my service from my cellular alarm. I am sorry to say that their customer service at ADT, not the call center, is not the best. Their resolution dept. though, is good.

Worst experience. Keep replacing the pad. Had to buy a fob. The system wouldn't work for my dog walker and still doesn't work. My work number is **. I'm probably going to go back to Time Warner and I really hated them. Really your customer service is deplorable.

We've had our ADT system for about 2 years, if memory serves. I probably have not "tested" it frequently enough, and there have been no actual breaches, but when I have "triggered" it, it worked. My wife, especially, likes the idea of ADT watching the ramparts when she is home alone. We do not live in a high crime area by any means, but most of our neighbors in our association also have ADT and all are satisfied with both the technology and the price. I have recommended it to friends.

I'm very discouraged with ADT at the moment. When I signed up, I signed up with auto payments from the very beginning. 2 months later I got a call saying I had $25 past due and no one could explain why it wasn't just automatically taken out of my account. I paid it. 2 months after that I get a bill in the mail stating I'm $150 past due and when I called to check why it wasn't taken out of my account, the reps said my card was deleted and there was no reason why. I am horrible at keeping track of my bills, so I have chosen to have everything coming out of a separate account automatically. It makes my life easier. When my card gets deleted and no one can tell me why it is very frustrating and makes me not want to do business with the company.

As far as the actual equipment goes, it's simple and easy to use and my family only uses one device in our home. Just a few windows and a couple doors have the wireless devices attached. The only problem I have been having is with billing. I have not missed any payments or even been late but still ADT messes up my billing somehow. Also I have a contract that I am not happy with because if I want out of the contract I have to pay the remainder of my contract off which is quite a lot of money all at once. ADT should do away with their contracts.

I called Customer Service to walk me through setting up additional passwords and deleting some that were given to employees who have left the company. The representative was thorough and waited on the line until I had completed what I had wanted and even tested out the new passcodes. Very courteous and patient, and this has been my experience in the past as well with all my requests.

March-I received a package. It did not record the delivery man coming to my front door, but it did capture my friend picking it up. This was my first clue the cameras were not picking everything up. Since then I have been going back and forth with ADT. I wanted my money back because it is not doing what it was supposed to do. I also have a 36 mo. contract at 65.00 mo. I am so unhappy and disappointed because I purchased the cameras for safety/security which I don't have. ADT did NOTHING. I WOULD NOT GO WITH ADT. THEY ARE LIARS AND I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK TO NO AVAIL.
3/15/16 I called ADT to complain the cameras were not capturing everything. 3/15/16 also sent an e-mail to ADT. 3/23/16 called ADT again because no response to 3/15 call or e-mail. 3/27/16 called ADT again because still no response to 3/15 call or e-mail. 3/31/16 ADT service rep came to check out cameras. He said if I want the cameras to capture everything I would need digital cameras. The cameras I bought do not capture everything. I said had I known this I would have never purchased these cameras. I want them to capture everything. That was the whole purpose in getting the cameras.
April: 4/3/16 called Vincent **, Manager ADT, to complain. He said he would call me back and never did. 4/12/16 I e-mailed Said and Vincent because no one called me back. 4/14/16 Said called me back. I told him how dissatisfied I was and I wanted to cancel. He said he would speak with his boss and get back to me. He never got back to me. 4/18/16 called Said again said I wanted to cancel, no return call. 4/21/16 called Said again. We made an appointment for him and his boss to come to my home 4/28 to check the cameras. They did not show or call to cancel. 4/30/16 called ADT again. S/W Raymond, told him my problems and said I wanted to cancel. He said he will put a note in the computer and have someone get back to me either Monday or Tuesday. No one got back to me.
May: 5/5/16 called ADT and Said, left a message to call me back. Said called me back. I told him I wanted to cancel. He said I can and he will send an e-mail stating I wanted to cancel and get back to me. Then I receive an e-mail from Said stating I can cancel but need to have 3 service calls first. I don’t understand why I need to have 3 service calls before I can cancel. When the service man came to my home he told me these cameras were not going to capture everything. So what are two other people going to do?
5/23/16 I spoke with Said. He said I have 6 mos. to cancel my contract and they should not be charging me to cancel the contract. He said I have until 7/25/16 to cancel per email 5/2016. Said connected me with Gail in billing. We had a 3 way conversation. Said explained to Gail I shouldn’t have to pay to cancel the contract. I have 6 mos. to cancel. Gail said she can’t put this through because she needs a copy of the contract saying I have 6 mos. to cancel. Said said he will speak with his manager and have the paperwork put through. Never happened.
I told Said I don’t want this service. From the history above alone I am not satisfied. I purchased the cameras due to a domestic abuse issue. I wanted cameras to be safe that I could see if anyone came to my home. I don’t feel safe. I was not told when I bought this package that the cameras would not capture everything. If I was told that I would not have purchased it. I told him I want this escalated. Asked him who is the next in line for me to contact? I need to get a system in my home that will protect me ASAP. I do not have time to have two more service calls. This has been going on long enough. Never heard back.

When we moved service from one location to another ADT made us pay for both location - the one we sold and the one we moved in for 8 months. It took us time to realize it that cancelling the old service was not easy and we were double billed for both locations. Poor service.

We've had no incidents in this current residence to date other than the occasional power outage. But in a former residence protected by ADT, we had a lightning strike which started a small natural gas-fed fire in the attic. The ADT alarm system sounded immediately and notified the Fire Department, Police and the primary key-holder. Within minutes, the key-holder and the Fire Department arrived and the situation was contained with limited damage relative to the value of the house. We will never be without monitored protection, and ADT is our provider of choice. Thank you, ADT.

Overall very satisfied with product and service. Unfortunately one time my system went out and needed a service call. I had to wait a few weeks for the appointment. I was told it was because I live in a low density area. Well, my bill isn't low density, it's the same as anyone else's. I should get the same speed of service.

I thought the technician was friendly and honest, but my husband did not (I should have listened to him). He upsold us by $700, which was completely my fault. However, we were point-blank told there was NO contractual requirement for the service and that was one of the SPECIFIC reasons we signed with him. We were assured repeatedly that we could cancel the service at any time. When we decided we needed to stop the service for a bit due to financial hardships caused by medical expenses, we were very surprised to learn that we were in a 3-year contract!!! We would have NEVER agreed to those terms. I will tell everyone I know about this company and how dishonest their representative was. I am super disappointed.

We first joined Brinks and they were acquired or changed their name to ADT. The customer service reps have been pretty good. We're satisfied customers of ADT which is why we renew every year.

When at a neighborhood watch meeting in January of 2014, a saleslady representing ADT did a presentation and took names and numbers from anyone interested in ADT service. She contacted me and we set up a meeting that she did not show up for. I called her and we set up another meeting. We visited for a while and determined a plan that I could afford and she filled out all the paperwork. The Service contract I have is dated 1/31/2014 and states that my monthly fee will be $36.99 for two years with a $15.00 installation fee that I paid her on the spot. We also scheduled an install date for a short time after. I do not remember the exact date, but I do remember that no one showed up after I had taken time off of work to be there.
February 2nd, 2014 I was charged by ADT on my credit card for the $15.00 installation fee that I had already paid to my saleslady in cash. I called and ADT refunded the fee, a few months later. In April 2014, my monthly bill was increased by $15.00 to $51.00. I assume this was for the $15.00 installation fee, but the bill does not say that. I called and the bill was changed and I was told to pay my regular amount.
My saleslady knew that I was financially nervous about starting the service and on March 18, 2014, before install had occurred, she texted me and offered me an additional incentive of 6 referral bonuses totaling $300 and in 6 months she could get me a few more referral bonuses. Finally, she told me that her manager was going to allow her to waive the fee for the second month of service. (At the time I assumed this was for the delays in install.) On top of all that, she had told me that if I placed a call in a few months to the Customer Loyalty Dept, they would drop my monthly fee to $20 because I had lost my job.
After nearly two months, I finally got the install on a Saturday, 3/29/2014. The installer was amazing. He was a great guy and very nice. He didn't seem to know the system very well though, because after six months of my alarm going off right after being set and many calls with the ADT service department, I finally got another installer to come and determine that the problem was that the first installer had mounted the sensor on a metal door and did not have proper signal through the door. He moved the sensor and I have never had another false alarm in two years.
For several months, I asked my saleslady where the referral bonus check was and she kept telling me that it would be coming, so I kept letting it slide, until I found out that she had left ADT and moved away. I called, emailed, attempted chats with ADT and I kept getting switched from department to department and I still have never gotten the referral bonus check. It's been over two years. I have left many messages and ADT will no longer return my calls or emails. I have the text messages on my phone; I have the emails showing my many attempts at contacting ADT. I've spent hours on hold with them. I have attached a screenshot of the text messages and a bill for verification that I am an ADT customer. I have sent this information to ADT via emails, but still no response.
Now ADT is raising my monthly payment for a second time in the last two years. My saleslady also told me no price increases would happen until the end of my two year contract, but I can't prove that. I'm fed up with ADT. I'm not going to pay this increased bill. I have attempted to contact them to cancel my account, but they still won't answer me or call me back, so I'm not going to pay any more to see if they will call me. I don't know what else to do. I'm sure my account must be flagged in their system and they won't talk to me. I'm hoping this website will get their attention.

I've been an ADT customer since June 2014. It has always worked perfectly. I especially appreciated it when I could monitor my home here from my home up north. I moved to FL permanently in May of 2016 and since then I've received at least 5 marketing mailings to "resident" offering all kinds of good deals. Free installation, half the price I pay, etc. I called after I got the first one to say - um I live here and I pay you. Don't your marketing people know that? So I'm not complaining about ADT service (although thankfully I've never really needed to use it). I'm just saying maybe put a little more effort into accurate marketing so that a happy customer doesn't get disillusioned!

I have been a customer since 8/2010, and I have been very happy with my system. BUT I now see offers for less than what I pay a month, and they are offering more sensors than what I was offered!!! I am a bit sad!

I returned to my home and found an alarm beeping. I pulled the batteries out of 4 alarms before I realized it was the hardwired one that was beeping. I called ADT and was concerned why if the unit is continuously monitored, why they hadn't contacted me to tell me there was a problem rather than me contacting them? The man in Texas who assisted me on the phone was very patient, explained clearly what I needed to do and I was able to fix the problem without having to call in a repair person. Appreciated his willingness to assist me. Still concerned as to why they are not aware the alarm was set off.

I was having an issue with the beeping of my ADT Home Alarm. The beeping was becoming more frequent and I did not know what was causing it. I called the ADT service phone number and spoke with an ADT Representative. I explained my situation to the ADT Representative. She was very helpful and took me through the steps as to what to do. It turned out I needed the alarm, needed a battery replacement. The ADT Representative was very helpful and courteous and explained everything in a clear and straightforward manner. I received excellent customer service!

My Mother set off her alarm around bedtime. I received the call that she couldn't be reached. I am to be called in those cases and I received a friendly call about the situation. I determined what had happened and requested that the police not be called. The code was input during our conversation so we were both convinced that all was well. I couldn't have asked for a kinder, more compassionate representative to call me. Great experience!

Have never had any issues with ADT at all. Good coverage. When I accidentally set off the panic button on the fob... it took less than 5 seconds for them to call to make sure everything was okay. Only issue... They never came back to put in the outside sensors (the installer didn't have it with him) and motion light.

The ADT services all inside and outside the house are all great. The alarm and the camera are perfectly amazing for all the family protection purposes. My only concern is my app on my cell. Every time I log in it ask this question "software updates" then I did that but still not working. Can't log in. Then I deleted the app and installed the new one but still don't work so I just go to Google site and open it there and check my camera away from my house. The cell software updates doesn't work at all!!

We are very pleased with ADT. When it was first installed we had to have a couple of adjustments. They were dealt with very quickly. The installers were very helpful. We are going to add more ADT sensors. I don't understand the negative reviews that I have read about them. I would recommend them highly.

After 17 long years of loyalty to ALL my service providers, ADT is the only company that worked with me when I was laid off work for almost 2 years; At times when I did not have the money to make the payment they took my bill to "zero" and sometimes they asked me to pay half and they absorb the other half. I would NOT trade ADT for any other security company as long as I own a home. If I had a problem and they were to come out for service, their servicemen were always on time and they explained to me what is the problem and how they resolved it. Thanks ADT.

Our son has ADT at his home as well as us. A few days ago his alarm went off. We received the call, he was in the shower at home and the alarm was not making a sound. The person who called us from ADT called back to say she had called the police and gotten a busy signal twice then when she got through they informed her it was not their jurisdiction. There was no breaking but what if there had been - there was at least a 20 minute time lapse!!!

I've had a good experience with ADT. The sales rep was very friendly and I had a positive experience with the installation team. I got the basic system to control the doors, the smoke, and penetration to the home, and a couple of monitors. I have a digital pad but one of them went bad and the ADT guys suggested that I wait until the second one goes bad before calling in. Every time I've had some problem, I've called and they have come soon. Every time I notice something wrong, I report it and they ask me for a time, and then they come.

Alarm kept going off on Zone 13. We weren't sure where Zone 13 was. We have 5 bedrooms and all but one have bathrooms. That's the description that ADT kept giving us. They were able to get here the next day after I called. Was a loose wire in the expander box that wasn't connected securely. He was very good and fixed in just a few minutes. Love my ADT system and the service guys. Have had great service with them all.

Recently, I assisted police in catching a burglar who had climbed into one of my garbage cans. A police dog was eventually able to catch him across the street. I think security monitoring is a good idea in my neighborhood and can see home security signs on my neighbors' front yards. Other security providers want me to bundle with them but ADT has become competitive in this category as well. One example would be The Pulse Portal access I now have and want to add on to in the future.

We have been customers for many years and now we are moving. Last year we discontinued our landline and had to start wireless security service. When I called the office about our move I found out we had two years left on a contract I didn't know we had. I was told that I could continue my service at our new location or if the new owners wanted the service they could continue our contract. The new owners are not interested so that is not an option. We are in a gated community so I don't see the need for security, but I was willing to get the service just to use up our contracted time. Now I have to sign a new three contract or pay the $670 left on our contract. We are on a limited income and I feel this is very unfair. Any help in matter would be greatly appreciated.

Every few weeks I get a sensor fail. I call ADT and they tell me how to clear it. They say it is the cell tower at fault. I always wonder if they are lying.

Eight and a half years ago, my neighbor’s house was broken into. A couple of my neighbors and I then looked into security services. We searched around and when we found ADT, we decided to go with them. The three of us have the same plan. Fortunately, we’ve been lucky and haven’t had to use the service. We had a home in Sheffield that was using a local security service. We were not pleased with the security because when the power goes out, the local security's power is also out so we didn't have any service. Meanwhile, ADT is not just here in Killen so when our power goes out, theirs doesn't. We have such good service with ADT so we've stayed with them for so long. We have ADT in this house and our guest house so we feel very comfortable with having them both secured. We've recommended them several times.
We had the service agreement and anytime we'd ever have a problem, they just come straight on that and fixed it, which hadn't been many times. One time we had a bad storm and they called and asked if we were okay since our alarm went off. They asked us to walk through the house to make sure that everything is okay. I appreciate that ADT is always there for us because we're not young people. A while back, the system was not working properly. They told me when I called in that it was the battery that's the problem. The lady rep told me that the battery has to be changed but it was on top of a nine-foot ceiling. Since nobody here can climb up a ladder to change the battery, they had a guy come out to do it.

We studied different security systems when we had the house built. ADT was the one that we got and they have been fine. They've responded very well any time the alarm has gone off. One time the wind blew the door open because it wasn't shut and we accidentally set the alarm off.

We love ADT so far and they have been super responsive in time of need, so you are probably wondering what the issue is. When it came time to get our $100 dollar gift card no one seemed to know who I needed to talk to or they all just played dumb. One department would advise me to call another and the other would tell me they don't see anything pending for us. Don't promise the rebate if you won't deliver and help your customers figure out how to activate the ability to receive the rebate. For that I only gave you a 4 - should've been a 3.5, because I don't care for that dishonest part of the sale. Probably would've still gone with ADT without the dangle of the rebate, but it made the decision quick and easy.

I probably should have researched the subject before I made a decision. I had Protection 1 equipment installed and wanted to get it updated and monitored. When I called Protection 1 they claimed not to have any local office but they had bought ADT and they could handle my request. The sales rep and installation guy were well versed and professional. I had two window sensors added, a glass breakage sensor and an additional smoke detector and motion sensor. They also swapped out the control panel and added a bevy of new boxes. I was charged $350 for the new equipment and signed up for 3 years of monitoring at $50/month. Since the installation I've received several offers from ADT that included 9 free sensors and $30/month monitoring... hence the buyer's remorse. I question ADT's business ethics and while I'm locked in for the next 3 years I probably won't renew with them as there are simpler and less expensive systems available.

My wife and I were made to jump through hoops so-to-speak just to cancel a subscription from just one of our properties. It really shouldn't be a difficult process to discontinue service. Especially when I'm still a client at another location. One customer service rep asked if I had any other accounts and she had not addressed the current issue which I called about. ADT has been good over the 15 years or so we've been using their services. Their tech department has been professional and polite when handling and solving difficulties I've encountered (changing batteries in sensors or testing the system). With that said, I'm still using my original equipment. I've never been approached about upgrading my control panel or adding controls or devices. It seems that technology may have improved in the past 15 years.

Your contractor has totally screwed up my checking account with their mishandling of my payment for your alarm system. I paid off their account on 7/21/16 and they subsequently did a flex payment in August and now AGAIN a flex payment on 9/22/16!! When reaching for a package on my backdoor step, I fell down the two concrete steps and landed hard on my shoulders and head. As I cannot get up from the floor anymore, I was unable to stand. My husband died two months previously and I was faced with lying on the concrete in the full sun until somebody happened by my rural home. I have no children, and would have been stuck outside at least until morning, when my personal aid comes to work. I didn't have my telephone with me as I had not intended to go outside. Although I could tell I hadn't broken anything, I suffer from heat stroke.
This could have been very serious for me, but I wear the emergency fob all the time, and pressed the button. The first-responders arrived fairly soon after I pressed the button, and checked me over, then helped me get up and inside my house. Soon the ambulance came and offered to take me to the hospital, but I declined. This help alone is worth any money I have spent on ADT services. I feel secure in my home, and can continue to live alone.

Completely uncoordinated - moving from one home to another. You guys continually billed me for my old location/closed account. The 800 line to go deal with accounting is complete waste of time - rude... Basically laugh at you - simply told me the credit would work itself out!!! Installer continually tried to upsell me - even led to a second appt so essentially 8-9 hours to install my system - Crazy. I had to resort to the regional Atlanta office - only people that would listen or follow thru. Absolutely horrible experience - I am sure to tell my friends.

I am 95 years old and mildly disabled which means that I cannot move as fast as I would like to. Often times I am a little late in operating the pad to get into the house. Invariably the lady at the phone bears no excuses and calls police after I try to explain to her the reason for the delay. I talked to one of your people and it looks as if it has straighten.

We have been with ADT before it was ADT. We have had no problems whatsoever. I remember one time when I set bug foggers out and forgot to put the red cover over the smoke detector. We were only about 2 min from the house and heard emergency sirens and then a phone call from ADT. They shared that our smoke alarm had gone off. They were able to cancel the fire departments visit to our house after we assured them what the source of the alarm was. I have also mistakenly opened our sliding doors, which immediately sounded the alarm and ADT called to verify all was ok.

A bunch of people from the Warman Church was involved with a security system. They kept coming around a little deceptively to try to replace ADT but we caught them. I've had a great experience with ADT so far even if it catches me every time I forget to shut it off or don't get to it on time when I come in the house. All of their sales reps were great. The only thing I don’t like is that they came and upgraded the system three years ago to the later model which does not have any voice capability. The previous one had some voice messages for us like ones indicating our status. That was very helpful but we’ve adapted and are pretty much satisfied with what we have.

We called to upgrade to the Pulse system. We were not provided with all the info required to upgrade which included unexpected charges. The installation seemed to go flawless. I asked about my rate. Told him the home phone line was in the basement and I was using that to get the original rate of 27.99 a month. He said, "Okay, they will still call your cell phone in case you're not home." I informed him my name was incorrect and was not Alexander and he said not to worry. It wasn't a big deal. I signed 2 places which said I understand the contract. Never once seeing the part of the monthly charge of 52 dollars and to my knowledge was getting the 27 dollar package previously agreed upon. I was also informed that the installation was free and was given so many sensors enough to cover everything but yet still was charged 300 dollars the day of installation.
I reviewed the document I signed after I received my 1st bill and my name was still incorrect and my signature was forged. I signed with my signature on the electrical pad and suddenly my name was signed Alexander ** in multiple places I do not remember seeing the day of installation. After spending 90 minutes on hold today and transferred to many people, I will be contacting the regional manager on Monday and have a lawyer to overlook the documents and will be considering legal action. I feel violated and taken advantage of and you all have been less than helpful in the situation. I will never recommend your services to anyone and will deter people from purchasing anything from your company.

Excellent initial customer service. Kate customer services rep came to our new house and explained ADT security plan. We signed up right away, installation tech was great too - installation was performed within a week. OAL happy with ADT but we were trying to update to ADT Pulse which initially we couldn't due to absence of internet in our brand new home. We contacted ADT to upgrade to ADT Pulse and requested that we talk to Kate. They said they will have her call us back. That's all. No responses at all for 2 weeks then we called Kate on her phone and left multiple messages without a response.

Very disappointed. Trying to upgrade home alarm system. ADT wants to send a sales rep out to my house even though I have been with ADT for years. Phone support will not give out information as to pricing or loyalty deals. Might be time to switch.

2nd bedroom sensor would trip the alarm. Police were coming around the corner of the house the last time it went off. ADT sent a technician out in 2 days and he replaced the sensor and changed the position of 2 other bedroom sensors and the back door as well which kept falling off. End of problems. Thanks ADT.

Bought our house twelve years ago and it had an antiquated ADT system, quirky at best. When we had a sales rep come to our home he updated it, adding smoke and carbon monoxide protection, quite painlessly. I had a back door that did not close properly (it had a sensor on it) and one night it came open. I heard the alarm go off and in about 10 seconds the phone rang. ADT was calling to ensure that I was ok and make sure the house was secure. I checked and advised everything was ok. They were super quick to call and check. They had update the system last year and the technicians I had were amazing. I feel safe knowing that ADT is my alarm company and you will too.

I have been an ADT customer since 2009. My townhouse has a security alarm and a smoke detector linked to their central station. Their service has always been reliable. When I leave my home I can do so knowing any intrusion or smoke event will be detected by them promptly. Their monthly rate has not been increased for the past several years. I would recommend ADT to anyone.

System installed new in March. Two days ago saw that the yellow trouble light was activated. Called and a defective battery in the furnace room needed to be replaced. Was told until battery was received to push star every 24 hours. This morning alarm went off at 6:09 a.m., scary sound so early in the morning. Called again and given info on how to bypass furnace room. Would this not have been a better option to begin with? So until the battery arrives I have a window not secured. So much for ADT protection.

It's very hard to put a dollar amount on peace of mind. But I feel that ADT is doing an excellent job on keeping my house secure. Any experience that I have had with this company has always been positive. ADT technician arrived, installed outside camera in a professional manner, did a nice job. Made recommendation about a wireless camera to use near street as we have no street lights. Advised of options, we either need to get electricity to near mailbox or get a unit to work with router to get signal to street as our home is more than 100 feet from street. Will have to do more research.

There's not really much to say. We were customers of ADT at our house in Grand Rapids and had no reason to even look elsewhere. Yes, I know Comcast, AT&T and other providers have recently gotten into the home security system, but ADT has been doing it since 1864. For home security, who you going to call? ADT.

I want to say that since I have added Pulse, I can arm and unarm my house anywhere I am. I was in Davenport IA and was checking my home; when I realized I had forgotten to arm the alarm. I did it from there and then did my usual when I got home. I even checked it in New York City when I was there last month and found my home was safe and secure. I love Pulse!!!

My only complaint is that the only way we can use adt is with a land line. I live in the countryside and we only get Verizon wireless cell service. So we have to pay for a land line to be able to use it. Can't you get with more options?

When I called to set up an install appointment ADT was very pleasant. After my initial appointment date, I had to call 2 times to reschedule my appointment for a later date. They (both times) rescheduled my new appointments quickly and professionally. The installation team arrived right on time and was very knowledgeable about their system. Whenever I call in, I receive expert and courteous service. Occasionally, the wait time is longer than I would expect, but this is not the norm. Several years ago I had a system installed and ADT billed my account without notice, incurring overdraft fees and causing me to remove my card from auto billing. So here we are again. I had a new system installed and opted for the 3 pay plan. The initial card that I used was not the card I had intended for all 3 payments. I was assured that I could go into MyADT and change it anytime. Nope! That is not the case. I changed all my info on MyADT but they continued to charge the wrong account. Last month I had to do a mad scramble to get the funds in there to cover the charge. Yes I was charged overdraft fees AGAIN.
I called adt and asked them to purge that card from the system and use the card on file. They assured me that they did. 4 days ago, yup, they charged that card again. I scrambled to get the funds in there from another account. I was charged an overdraft fee and I called adt to once again ask them to purge that card from the system. I was assured that it was done and the money would be refunded to that account (7 to 10 days later of course) and the correct card charged. The very next day, yes, you guessed it, the charge was applied again. This time for more than the first charge, leading to yet another overdraft fee. I have never had to deal with so many incompetent noobs. I am re-thinking our relationship!

I had a system installed in April. The main sensor on my sliders was broken. Called in. Someone was to come. No one did and it is still broken. I have it taped on. Not happy and will not renew with ADT when the time comes. Also had many problems with the billing department with double billing.

After 3 nights in a row of the alarm going off I called ADT to get a tech to look at our unit. I was schedule 8 days later for a tech to arrive. That was 8 days and nights without your service. When the tech does arrive I found out he lives only 20 minutes from my home. What kind of service is this. 8 days after the problem you have a tech scheduled. For a service organization this is not service. 1. I don't want to pay you for the eight days without service. 2. If I have the same problem again I want the unit removed and I will have a competitor install a new one.

The people have been very nice and helpful. I only wish that the alarm made noise so the neighborhood could hear it if it goes off. I was told that the police and ADT will know, but I would feel safer if the noise scared someone away. I cannot afford to add the camera, so I can't comment on that. ADT lowered my rates a year or two ago when I complained about the $60 I was paying. I appreciated that.

I have been generally pleased with the service. When I have caused the alarm to be set off, or the wind has blown the door open when it was not completely locked, the company rep has called me very quickly to verify that I was alright, and the one time I couldn't remember my passcode, they even summoned the police to check on me. I had two accounts set up with ADT only I did not know it. At any rate, when I tried to correct the problem, the agent was rude and dismissive. When I purchased my new house it came with an ADT alarm system and all it needed was to be activated, which I did. And then because of an incident across the street from me I decided to add security cameras. Today the cameras and a DVR were installed and connected to my PC. When the installer came, he promised me that I could have my alarm on "Away" with my dog home because the motion detectors were able to differentiate between a 14 lb dog and a human. My dog set the alarm off twice. When I called customer service both times, they told me that it was impossible for the device to know the difference - even when I read the claim to them directly from their website. I pay for an alarm that's of no real value when I'm gone because it has to be in "Stay" mode. Pretty much feel ripped off every month.

I need to update the system and pulse was the answer. The service tech was very professional showed me the new features and how to setup what I needed. Answered every question in language that I understood, not some technical remarks that would confuse me. The system just works at a fair price for sound peace of mind. I trust what ADT is and does for me.

I had the misfortune of installing a new modem during the camera update. It would have been nice to know that this was happening. Since I thought there was something wrong with one of my cameras or my hub. After scheduling a service call I received a email about the update. Sure enough about 24 hrs. later everything was back to normal. The csr rep I talked to was great. This could have been much easier.

Our installer was very knowledgeable and worked with us to get full house coverage yet kept the cost to a minimum by suggesting alternative ways to save. The only problem he had was with my Xfinity phone line which caused the install to take much longer than I had anticipated. The people on the phone, however, that my husband first talked to prior to our in-house visit were not very knowledgeable and far underestimated our initial cost. They also misled us on the time for the install.

I had worked with ADT at several Army bases in the 1970s and 80s, and was always happy with the systems' capabilities, easy of use, and rapid service support. When I decided to install a home alarm system to replace the one I designed and installed from commercial parts, ADT was the only vendor I would consider. I was happy ADT serves my area. I am very happy with all the system's functions. When I lost power, the technician on the phone talked right to the source and I haven't had any problems since. I always encourage anyone thinking of a home alarm system to contact ADT and not to compare just basic costs. Compare systems and service too.

Since we have had an ADT Home Security system, it has worked great. Especially after upgrading to newer and more advanced hardware as well as software. ADT has been there when needed. For the cost, ADT, is the best and most reliable home security system available.

Not much to say. I received a voicemail advising a condition but was not an alarm. It was determined to be the outside alarm and possible a bad or defective battery. I called and made an appointment for repairs. The technician arrived on time, replaced the defective equipment, and left all in about 20 minutes. All very straightforward with no surprises.

The best part of having the ADT wireless system, is the fact that it hasn't been required to send an alert too many times. When it has had to send an alert, response time has been within seconds. We are very satisfied with the system and the service.

My wife was cooking stepped outside to tell me I had a phone call. We started talking and she forgot the pot of beans. Water in beans dried out and created a lot of smoke. Set alarms off and ADT called immediately. ADT asked if everything was alright, if we needed the fire dept. Extremely polite, concerned and funny. Thank you, there has been several other occasions. I have no worries! Perfect!! ADT was there!

It's great to feel protected and know if there is a breach in our home while we are sleeping or away. The additional carbon monoxide wondering also gives us peace of mind, and the fire and police buttons on the control pad add another layer of comfort. The system is easy to use and the keypad is small and discreet. Customer service is great, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel extra safe in their home.

In the afternoon I was cooking dinner - a disaster waiting to happen - and the smoke alarm went off. I was called by the ADT and got a nice lady who I told her what had happened, she said she would cancel the alarm for a half hour. Later that night when I was getting ready for bed I noted the alarm still wasn't on - and frankly, I didn't feel like getting the manual out at that time of night. And let's face it - I tech challenged anyway - and I got a very nice lady and she gave me the simple steps to get the alarm up and running again. A big relief. I was very pleased with the service and I was very pleased earlier that the response was so fast when the fire alarm went off. Made me aware how quickly you respond to emergencies - that is also very comforting! Thanks again for the great experience.

Called for service as the system went off from THUNDER. I was out of town and the police were called to make sure everything was OK. It was a door that vibrated with the Thunder. The SERVICE TECH reset the sensitivity and all the batteries in the house. Very good visit.

The ADT sales guy was very good. However, there's room for improvement with the installation guys who came to my home. They couldn't install the cameras where I wanted. I suggested another place to install it, but they said they didn't bring a ladder and will have to come back another time. They didn't get everything installed on schedule, and I had to get the sales rep back to get involved in it, and once I did, he took care of it. Our ADT system works fine, and I'm okay with what it does. I would recommend it.

Were still having to get used to arming and disarming cause I know I think at least a couple of times we opened doors or whatever without turning it off or so. But other than that its been fine. We're happy with it and it's good to know that we have it.

We were on the phone and my husband set our ADT system up. They basically asked what we wanted and he named all the stuff, but their guy came out and told us what we needed and what we don't. It was pointless for us to say what we needed when someone could've just come out and looked at it. Even so, the sales representative was good and we got a service package that includes the fire alarm.
The first guy who came for the installation was also good but something happened and the alarm went off one time and then I was getting an error code. They had to replace the box and another guy came out but he wasn't too knowledgeable. He didn't quite know what he was doing and what he was talking about. He had to keep calling someone to figure out how to do it because he didn't know how. Then he didn't set it up right. It works but I have a lot of sensors and the way he renamed all of them sounds weird. When I open my window it says, "Mr. Window 1st" and in my living room, it's "Living Window 1st." It's a weird order instead of saying, "First living room window" like it used to say. It's annoying when a weird name announces when I open up a window. I still have to call someone to come out and see if they could rename them again. Nonetheless, my ADT system makes me feel safer.

We love ADT! It is such a great peace of mind having a security system like ADT. We have 2 dogs at home during the day and I feel so much better knowing that they are being protected. Overall service has been great. Whenever I have had an issue they are quick to respond and corrected the problem. However, when ADT updated my system earlier this year, the key fob that I had previously used to alarm/disalarm the system does not work properly. Whenever I use it, the alarm screeches as though it was being set off. I called to see what could be done and was informed that a technician would have to come out to see what is wrong, and I would be charged for that trip. I do not feel I should pay for a call when the technician who redid the system should have checked to see that the key fob was working properly. I now do not have the ability to utilize the key fob to alarm the system. Would like for this particular issue to be resolved. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with the service.

Most of your contacts are sales pitch. This is one of the first for this information. I am not keen on the telephone contact as it is likely to be long-winded due to the number of calls. Prefer this method. Would be interested in means of obtaining new ADT sign for house front, also new remote, mine is several years old now and not so efficient. Would like a mailer giving information on making windows part of the door security. In general you are still the best.

Ordered service and I received one keypad. There is no volume control and was impossible to hear in my room. After a bit of a runaround, I was finally able to get a second keypad installed in my room. Unfortunately the volume settings are still too low and it is extremely hard to hear. I'm stuck with the system as I signed a contract and the cancellation fees are too high to pay. The good thing about the system is response time is extremely fast. I would be much happier if I could get a keypad that I could actually hear the alarm on.

We have been with BRINKS/ADT for at least 26 years. We have never had a problem with them. They respond quickly if the alarm goes off. Quick to call the other number if they don't reach us. Always pleasant if we set it off by accident. I would encourage anyone looking for a alarm company to use ADT.

I was attempting to change the door battery for our sliding glass door because it was not going off when we would open it. It triggered the alarm. ADT was quick to contact us immediately. I changed the battery in the motion detector. It cleared the error message at the control box, but not on Pulse. I explained this in an email. The response was to reset my password. I emailed again asking someone to actually read my message. The response was to cancel the password thing and ask me to call so they could reset the zones. I called and was told that it was impossible to reset the zones. The phone representative was rude and insulting. She implied that I was making it all up, even though I was reading to her from the email. She did, however, make an appointment for a service call. The service guy was great! He got everything fixed in no time at all and explained it all to me. So A+ for the service guy, F for the phone girl, and C- for the email people.

First call came on this past Tuesday that the motion in the hallway went off. The two alarmed doors did not go off so something was moving in the unit. Checked when I got home and nothing was array. Call came today with same issue. Will check the battery within the unit and if ok, then need to call ADT for system check.

I was having a problem with my system. The Representative on the phone really helped me with a faulty system. The system had to be replaced and when the Tech came he was so considerate. He explained his job and how he was going to complete it. He went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure I understood everything and what I could expect. I was really satisfied with everything. They did an outstanding job.
