Always worked (except the old unit) and no service other than battery replacements needed. A card with the sensor number, location, and battery type should be included, or an easier way to look up my specific sensors online since ADT can tell which one tripped.

I had to have the installation team from ADT come back because they alarmed the wrong door for me to go out of after I set the alarm. The very next day they were out here early in the morning and they set it to my front door instead of the door to my garage. I have not really had any issues to use them, which is good. I've been satisfied.

I have had the worst experience dealing with ADT. I would never refer them to anybody. I have been talking to three people over my thermostat but they came out and connect it wrong. It was not reimbursed because I call somebody else to do it. I would never refer ADT To no one. Have had the worst experience I have ever had in my life.

I made an inquiry about home security systems. ADT called and took all of my information and provides me a quote. I agree to it. Technicians show up and inform me that they can't install the package I was sold but could for additional charge. They reviewed the information I wrote down – agreed I couldn't have known without knowledge of packages and did not stand by what was agreed to. ADT could care less. Very disappointing!!!

We love our updated system. The old control panel went out on us and the new one gives us more features that we really enjoy. The service tech's work was very neat and he was very pleasant to work with. He was very respectful of our home and very informative. He gave us a walk through the system to ensure we were comfortable with the new features and with setting up Pulse, which we use regularly. We can even check the status of our system when away on vacation.

I had a representative come to my home Sept 2nd. He sold me an upgrade to my existing ADT system (Pulse He sold me). Since September, my system is still incomplete, leaving my home exposed without proper protection. The bills continue to come in at full rate, even though service is incomplete. I called at least 8 times, had 3 installers here. One day, they decided just not to show up or call. I spoke with at least 3 managers for resolution or cancel. The rep told me, to make up for the problems he would give me install credit. That never happened and now bills are showing as late. I have an incomplete system that needs to be resolved or removed, and I can't get a competent person to help. My only option next is small claims court. I DO NOT recommend ADT to anyone. I use Simply Safe at my business. It is very reliable. Service is great.

I've been with ADT for five years and it works. However, my contract reads that I am not subject to rate increases yet they try to raise my rates every year. I call them and have to have it reversed and that's a pain in the neck.

We use our ADT security system all the time. I like its ease of operation. I have called a few times to change passwords and the service has been fine and I had no problems. I also got the battery replaced at one time. I would recommend them to a friend.

I bought my house a year ago and signed up for their 3 year contract. The tech that came to set everything up was a huge help and put in above and beyond service to get our system going. Extremely unfortunate circumstances are causing me to have to sell my dream home a year later and move in with family until I am able to get on my feet. I explained this to ADT when I called to cancel my service and now have to pay them the rest of the contract which is almost $700. Even after explaining my extreme circumstances to them they state there is nothing they can do to help and I must pay.

Installation was fine. Having trouble with key chain device. Can not turn alarm off once in house with it, have to go over and do it manually. Still waiting for my $100 Visa card. Was supposed to receive paper bill but it would appear you are billing my charge.

ADT was installed 12/2010. Learned recently, 11/2016, that the wiring was not connected. Alarms never alerted their call center nor the local sheriff's office alarm center. Thought that was strange but assumed they changed the sensitivity of their alarm system because it used to generate calls at other home installations I had over the years. And now it did not.
Turned out they'd not had any alarms signaled on my account the entire 6 years.
ADT says in May 2016 a technician tested the system from my home and it worked. He'd re-secured the sensors on windows and doors that were coming loose or falling off. And he checked the system. I don't know how it worked then but not now? Nobody has touched this system except to set and turn it off as needed. I told them to stop my monthly payment and cancel my account. They told me I had a 30-day notice required. They told me all the services I would no longer have if I cancelled the account. I told her those were the services I didn't have while paying them about $35 monthly for the past several years, so I thought I'd be okay.
Called and even wrote to CEOs, who are all new as of May 2016 for some reason. You never reach CEOs. Only techs who take the heat and push you off.I guess I'm going to lose this battle. They offered to give me a one month payment back, $33.99, for my troubles. I don't know if I can take that. Golly gee. What a wonderful way to thank an old disabled woman for her monthly contributions to their empire the past 6 years and for my continuing business with them since about 2000. Anya sternly told me they certainly were not going to refund 6 years of payments. They claim to be the top alarm system in the USA. I have to wonder how many other people have had systems that didn't do anything but provide a false sense of security.

Total experience in less than 1 month. Have had several problems: System not working correctly, check amount being changed and more taken out of account, being overcharged for monthly fees and some windows not sensored due to lazy techs not knowing how to sensor older windows.

My mother had ADT years ago. Now I have their package which includes door monitors, glass breakers, and a motion sensor. The service is okay but I keep getting phone calls telling me I need to do an alarm check days after I've just done one. All my interactions with them have been pretty good throughout the 20 years we've had ADT. We have it back home in Florida too. Overall, I'm satisfied with this company.

According to my son-in-law, ADT is the best one to get. I live alone and I'm older than dirt so it makes me feel much better that they're there, and that's the best part. Their service is all working fine. Their installation team knew their job and were very polite. I haven't had them to do anything except to tell me to turn my alarm off. I'm very pleased and I would definitely recommend ADT.

I haven't timed the service when the alarm was tripped accidentally but, it has been in just seconds when this has happened. The associate would ask if there was a problem and what I needed and was always pleasant and ready to help if needed. Thanks ADT for your fast support.

I joined ADT home security and lost my job. I don't use their services as it doesn't work properly, and annoys the neighbors when the system goes off. To cancel the service, even though I don't have a job, they want to charge me over $600.

During a 45 minute phone call to ADT to cancel service, the customer service technician insulted me several times all the while trying to stall and retain me as a customer. He told me his name was Joseph **, however, he refused to provide his employee number and would not transfer me to a manager. Mr. ** insisted that we have a 3 year contract with ADT but refused to provide proof when I countered that we were month to month.
He kept stalling with supposed computer difficulties and would not send our contract via email. He insulted me several times saying things like, "If you didn't read, then that's your problem," "I see here that you've had a problem with not wanting to pay for services before." and "Maybe I'm just telling you things you don't want to hear." I don't know what he was talking about regarding us not paying for services as our account is on automatic debit... Perhaps he was referring to the fact that we've negotiated to go back to a promotional price after the promotional period ended.
Despite being on the phone for so long, we were unable to cancel our service and are now waiting to receive a copy of our contract in the mail. Mr. ** also said several times that we "will lose" if we try to investigate the matter any further. I would not be surprised if we don't get this copy of our contract. I have been with ADT since 2003 and was very disappointed at being met with such rudeness and outright insults in our attempt to cancel service. Meanwhile, the technician with our new security company overheard the entire conversation while installing our new equipment and they have volunteered to give us a credit close to the cost of any penalties and fines from ADT.

My experience with ADT has been good, that's why I've kept it for all these years. I was right there with the techs during the installation. We talked and other ones came in and we all communicated and showed them the different locations that they needed to go to. And they gave me some insight on some things. When I called and have an issue with something, the people on the phone would direct me on how to resolve it and go from there. They've been good, very direct, and to the point, which is perfect for me. It's a personal, honest and collaborative experience and I've already recommended them to my friends.

I spoke to, what was told me, first level customer service. After dull rehearsal of what the first associate said, I requested to speak to higher level mgmt. When I got to the next level mgmt, I was astonished of the behavior of the mgr. I felt like I was speaking to a uninformed, non-trained customer service professional. I, at first demanded discontinuance of my account. Then I thought that person would get away with deplorable customer service. Thus, I demanded to have her mgmt superior contact me.

I have ADT pulse with multiple cameras and sensors. Someone robbed a car parked on our property. I After discovering robbery from car parked by our garage, I discovered ALL ADT video cameras and home alarm sensors were not functioning for 1 week prior to robbery. There was no notification from ADT that system was not functional! ADT was immediately contacted. They failed to correct the problem; failed to offer an explanation and failed to even offer a service call to correct the problem! ADT charges high price but fails to deliver ANY security. They just take your money. They provide NO security!

I just wanted to make a comment about my payment. I called in to talk with someone about my Bill. I said that I was paying too much for my Alarm system; so they talked with me for about 20min. from person to person. Then I was told that they could reduce my bill and for that I am grateful. Thanks.

I had a battery out and ADT fixed it. Everybody was helpful and very professional, well-dressed, and identified themselves. They're good, but the monthly price is too expensive. Also, they put people on hold, and if one had a real emergency, called the number and got put on hold, that would be terrible.

I've had ADT for 10 years. Their reps were nasty at first but have been pretty good since they finally fixed the problems years ago.The system didn't work for six months up until they finally put in a new one. I've been keeping the house locked up. We haven’t had any problems or any reason to use it yet.

ADT has a fine product but you are a bit deceptive in their sales pitch. I was told that I qualified for a free system and in the end I had to fork out over $2700.00 to get started "TO BE PROPERLY PROTECTED". The customer service is good but I have received different answers from different representatives. I.e. - billed two months first time, called and I was told I would be billed at the first of November 2016 for another payment for @ $49.00 per month. Never received a draft so I called and I was told I was misinformed and would have a draft. 1st of draft in December for @ $52.00 per month. When I signed up installer told me my monthly bill would be less than $50.00 dollars a month.
Have called installer twice due to outside alarm not being very loud and under house motion sensors no longer blink as they did when first installed. I also asked about price of an additional door sensor being installed. He set a date, never showed, and I called back and he apologized and said he forgot. He called again and said he was on a job that he would not be finished until late that evening. I told him I understood. No problem. I have not heard from him since.
So far not the best customer experience! At this point I do not have a warm fuzzy feeling about ADT. ADT may be too big at this point to meet customer needs. You have great monitoring and response time and very friendly representatives which I love. Wait time on the phone can be lengthy. Had I done my research, I would have went with SimpliSafe!

I received a flyer in the mail, I called to get details and was told I would get 15 pre-wired sensors (I didn't know what pre-wired was and it was not explained to me). I was under the impression the entire time I was getting 15. The only reason I went on with this was because the nice guy that did the install had come from Phoenix City and had already installed the system and was about to do the sensors and he started asking me where I wanted them and I was still under the impression I was getting 15 so I proceed to tell him and he was like "Nooo. You're only getting 7." I let him go ahead and I wasn't arguing because this was not his fault. Had I known it was only 7 I would not have went along with this deal.

I've been using ADT's home security service for two months already. Their sales rep was knowledgeable, and the installers were good. Though I would have liked to have a little cheat sheet on the various names that they put in, for instance the pads.

I love my ADT alarm. I feel very safe when I'm home alone. I have cameras so I don't have to go to the door every time I hear a noise. The system is wonderful, wouldn't trade it for the world.

Beginning with the call made to inquire about ADT I was impressed with the knowledge of the sales representative and their helpfulness. The technicians that came to install the system were very professional and helpful. They asked for my input regarding equipment placement and were clean, no messes.

I was pleased with the installation process however very displeased with your billing process. I was not even installed and billed upfront for fees and my account which I set up on Autopay was billed immediately for services. I was not happy with the customer service representatives either and was shocked to learn that the ADT Service was a Authorized Dealer and not ADT itself. I am also not pleased with the Reward Redemption process which is tedious and time consuming.

We started doing some traveling and wanted to secure the house better than just locking the doors. I contacted ADT and the gentleman that sold us the system explained it, went through the cost and the different options available. We made choices from that and we've been pleased with it so far. I've called customer service a couple of times to get my iPhone set up and all the passwords erased. We've also had one or two alarms that I forgot the alarm was set and it went off so they've called. I've been very satisfied with ADT.

We have always had superb service when needing assistance. The one suggestion I would make is putting the model number or name of the control unit on the front. When we had to reset the time I needed to call for assistance and did not know what system I had.

I would tell all of my friends to get ADT Security in their homes, because it is one of the best there is to have in your homes. I have had them in two or more of my homes and I have been very happy with them. Now I live in Colorado they are the only company I will use, I feel safe in my home all the time. If you have a problem with your system they will come out and check it to see what is the problem with it.

Installer was polite and thorough, but the process took over 4 hours to 7:00PM. Installer was understandably tired and did not take enough time to fully explain how to understand and operate the system. Two door sensors have been going off even though the doors have not been opened. We have been waiting for 2 days for tech support to call us to set up an appointment as promised by the ADT agent. Strangely, the installer came within four hours on the same day I requested an estimate, but tech support has still not called after more than 48 hours. That is not good customer service!

I've been with ADT since 2006. The customer service people have been knowledgeable. I had questions about how to operate the system and the panel, and all has been very good. They answered my questions the first time I called, so I didn't have to call back or escalate a call.

The installation process and the equipment are fine. What I did not like was the discrepancy between what the salesperson whom I talked with described as the equipment and charges versus what was presented by the installer. It remind me of a bait and switch tactic. Don't tell people you get 15 wireless units for $99.00 when that is not the case! I wanted a security system and I did get yours because I was vulnerable and grieving at the time but I do not have a good feeling about your company and would tell anyone who ask me to be wary of your sales pitch.

I found their staff to be on time, courteous and understanding. They called back when I needed them to. They also were very reasonable with prices. They honored the customer well. I recommend them for an alarm system. My family feels safe with their system which is up to date in the world of alarms. They are straightforward with their product and are honest.

I feel so much more peace of mind when I close my eyes at night. My wife and I know the security from ADT as we grow older, is well worth the cost. You will consider this a good investment too. With the window sensors if it is broken the alarm will go off.

I got the service package that included the alarm and the ADT internal computer thing that I can see who's walking through the house. The installation team installed those cameras and I've had good interaction with them except with one guy. I called his boss and he came out and took care of it. The guy wasn't trained enough to understand how I can walk out from my bedroom to the front door and the camera didn't pick me up until when I walk in back, so it was a timing thing and lack of training coupled with his attitude. But then the service has been great so far. I feel very secure with the treatment, the instruments, and the system we got. I've been with them about 20 years and if I have any problems, they solve it. They’re a pretty good company.

The security that came with the house we purchased wasn't the most reliable. ADT signs all over the neighborhood when we purchased our home, so we checked it out and decided to go with them. I wanted to have adequate security, but didn't want to overload myself, so the installers set up the monitors throughout my home and we're satisfied with that. Sometimes I inadvertently set off the alarm and they've been very courteous. One time, I had trouble about resetting and they were very professional about it. I'm very happy thus far with the service.

I've had ADT hooked up for 20 years now and it's been very good. When the power went off a couple of nights ago, they called me about the medical alarm I wear around my neck 40 minutes after the power went off since it shows that I've had a power loss. I didn’t know that they could tell that but I was glad to hear that they could. Then the last time I accidentally tripped the alarm system, they called within a couple of minutes to check to see what the problem was and I said there was none. I gave them the code and they said that it was fine and they appreciate the business and that was it. The only other thing I wanted is for them to get the alarm system itself billed to the same credit card where they bill my medical alarm. I asked them about it before and I was wondering why for some reason they haven’t been able to shift it over. Other than that, I've been very happy with them.

ADT has helped me several times when my alarm went off by others that did not know my alarm was on but had permission to be at my home. One time a gentleman that was staying at my house had a hearing problem and didn't even hear it, but it was resolved.

My local ADT agent can be easily reached, including email, is responsive, and answers my questions in detail and to my satisfaction. We feel safe and secure with ADT. We live on a 42-acre mountain and have had strange people wandering through the woods (and out our long driveway) before. We installed a gate with a coded entry lock and that helps. Still, we feel better with ADT. We have a rental house next door and the nice lady told us she was scared when we went on trips. So, we had ADT installed there, too. Now we are all safe. Please keep the prices low for the basic kinds of packages we have so we can be safe on this mountain.

I like my service and the products I have. The customer service from the "main team" of ADT has been great. I was approached by an ADT salesperson when we moved into our home and I assumed they were from the "main" ADT but were not. They gave us a completely different price and not as many of the upgrades. I learned my lesson to not inquire more, just because you see the ADT label doesn't mean anything!

It was difficult for me to understand the bill. One area stated the bill was not due until Dec. 4th and another area stated it was past due. I paid the bill but I am still unclear on what period of time I paid for.

Haven't had any communication since 7/31/16 but they helped me then by turning off my alarm. I've yet to find out what caused my alarm to go off. I need someone to work with me in determining to problem. Many techs are not familiar with my system cause it's an older system.

We had an entryway door installed and somehow the installer dismantle the wires across the front door. We tried to attach wires but to no avail. We called ADT for help and to our amazement a representative came out less than two hours after our call for help. The rep was friendly, professional, and courteous. He was able to correct the system right away and advised us what to do in the future if the same situation occurred. We were quite satisfied and still amazed at the quick service.

I really like ADT Pulse system with cameras. We have the remote control option also. I like the fact that we can be away from our house, be at work or wherever and see everything that's going on at home. We can turn the system on and off from our cell phones. Best system ever!

We had an email from ADT regarding updating the time on our system since standard time had begun. We didn't recall doing that in the past, but referred to our system booklet. We phoned to ask someone to assist us. We left a message and a short time later we received a phone call from a manager. She was very nice and knew her systems! We do not have one that needs to have the time manually changed. The call was timely and helpful!

I was a recent widow at the time I got my security service, and I slept much better after having my ADT security system. I have the motion detectors and wireless keychain remote. They explained the service levels and I got what I wanted. I'm fine with it. I wish if I am supposed to do any kind of updating, somebody would get in touch with me about it because I keep forgetting to check with them. So far, it's been excellent and I'm very satisfied with ADT.

I would say that our A.D.T system works very well and I would recommend them to everyone. Only one false alarm that was an "exit error" in about two years now. Very acceptable in my book. The only fault that I see is in the quality (or lack there of) in the manufacturing of their "hardware" materials. Our "key fob" broke almost immediately where it goes on your key ring. Too thin and poorly made. The other issue is in the unit itself on the wall by the back door. The door that flips open and closed has two thin "catches" on each side that holds the door closed. Well again, too thin. Almost immediately one of them broke and the door sometimes swings down (open) on its own. Not good. The quality of the "service" I think is excellent! The quality in manufacture of the hardware itself really needs some improving. That being said I would still rate them 5 stars!

More money than I expected. They added equipment but what I thought would be a few hundred dollars extra was five times more expensive. The installation went great. I feel the special was not accurate. So far it seems easy enough to use.

I had ADT security as my security monitoring company for a property that was about to be sold. I contacted them in August to make them aware of the pending sale and that the service would be continued by the new owner. (This was a requirement for me to avoid the early termination fee). After the transaction concluded, I was told that I needed to wait for the new owner's credit approval before my service would be deactivated. On September 12th the new owner's service began and I was still charged for service at the property. I was then told it took 30 days to turn off the service (it only took an hour to turn it on). So, I had to wait until October to end the service and stop paying for it. They also had to conduct a verification that this want a case of early termination.
On October 26th ADT contacted me to tell me that I wouldn't be charged an early termination fee. They said the service charged for the month of October, which they had just debited, would be refunded. On November 14th, they took $1081.17 from my bank account for an early termination fee. They said they sent a letter to the service address which is not the billing address. I called them yesterday and they acknowledged they were wrong to take it. The representative, Kashari, told me that because of I had bills that were pending payment (mortgage), they would expedite the refund and I would see it in my account today. My money is not there.
I spoke to the manager, Kenyatta, today who informed me that the funds won't be returned for 3-5 business days. So, I hope to see my funds in a week, if they keep their word this time. That's a LOT of money for me, especially during the holidays. I will incur late fees on my bills and credit dings as a result of their error. This company has horrible customer service! They are polite but have been a source of misinformation and lies from the beginning! I would never do business with them again and I will inform people considering them of my experience and advise them to reconsider.

Salesman/technician arrived at 9:00am and left at 2;00pm. He spent 2.5 hrs trying to sell us on things we didn't need or want. He reduced the price several times but with no success. He was not very happy that he could not sell an 80 couple something they didn't need. There is no way that I would sick this salesman on any of my friends or neighbors. I view this trick as nothing more than a 'bait and switch' operation. The salesman did suggest that as far as security was concerned we ought to buy a gun. Maybe I will.

The ADT Technician who came and evaluated my new house for service was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made helpful suggestions and gave sound security advice. A different technician came to install the ADT system at the new house and he was efficient, professional, and capable of answering questions to my satisfaction. He did not leave until I was comfortable with the new system which had some different features than the one at the old house. I did not feel rushed or pressured in any way. I was very satisfied with both experiences.

I was in Colorado when I received a call on my cell from ADT to let me know that my alarm had activated. After I told the caller that I was not home, the police was called and also my friend. The people who broke-in slashed a screen on my patio, removed a small window, moved some things in my sewing room but did not have time to steal anything because of the prompt response of ADT and probably the noise the alarm made outside. I agreed to the install only because Landon assured me that corporate would send out a tech to install my doorbell that Comcast had disconnected! I feel that Landon misrepresented your company, and lied to me, only because he wanted the install!!! I am not happy with how he handled things, and I am also not happy that when I tried to cancel service because he lied it was past your 3 day time limit. Also, your customer service rep on the phone Arneetrice was very rude to me. She didn't even want to try to understand that I do not have a doorbell that was promised from your company. I will be contacting my attorney and filing a damage claim.

I went online to research AT&T internet services & found out that is not available in my rural area and no idea when it will be. The next closest thing is AT&T Wireless Home Phone & Internet. Installation was excellent and service has been accurate. There have been a few instances where I accidentally didn't shut my door all the way and my alarm went off. I was very happy with the job that Pedro did for me. My alarm was beeping with an error code. I called ADT and within 2 hours the service man was here. He knew right away what the problem was and fixed it within an hour. I was so happy. I have been with ADT since 1994 and have always been satisfied with the service they provide. Special Promotions promised me no hard inquiry was supposed to be done on my credit report. I contacted ADT and a nice gentleman named Timothy told me he would contact them to straighten out everything and they would get back to me in 24 hours. After not hearing from them or ADT I left message with Timothy in Monday, and still no communication from him or Special Promotions on the inquiry. They did take care of hardwiring a Ring device after they neglected to do that on initial setup, but also said there would be no additional charges to record on it, which we also now know is not true.

As a long time customer (10 years), I would definitely recommend ADT to everyone. You talk with real people and the technicians are well trained and knowledgeable as well as courteous. We moved our office but the service was not stopped, as we thought. We did install a new ADT solution at our new "digs". The CSR did help in terminating the old service and gave a credit for back when we thought we moved. A great lady, many other CSRs could learn from her.

This is a very well respected business. They take customers seriously and all tools available to the client are very useful. Monthly fee is maybe a little high, but it's high for all other monitoring services too, so you can say ADT keeps competitive prices as well.

Unfortunately not of winning a $200 million dollar lottery, but of homes that are broken into during the day. We always thought we lived in paradise, but the reality is that it can happen anywhere and to anyone. ADT responded quickly to our needs and our need to feel secure was restored in less than 24 hours. We met with the sales rep and he was attentive to our needs and gave us lots of options that fit our budget. The installer was sensitive to our anxiety and explained all the new gadgets and how they worked. Even non tech savvy people such as us are able to operate our system with ease.

The smoke alarm went off for no apparent reason and the resetting of the alarm computer settings was assisted by the ADT telephone assistant. However, the system still needs to be repaired to prevent this from happening again. ADT still needs to send someone to the house to make the repairs.

I am in a contract with these people until January of 2018 which I am trying to uphold, but I moved back into the house I originally signed up with in 2013. My current contract is for a house in Florida that we were renting. I was under the impression that I was signing a contract so I didn't have to pay all over again for the equipment to be installed in the rental house. Now that I'm living back in the house I had secured by ADT in 2013, (so it doesn't need any equipment), I called to have the services that I pay for every month to be moved to the house I'm living in, not the house that we no longer have any connection with. I was told that my contract follows the address, not the PAYING CUSTOMER and that the only way for me to actually get the services that I pay for every month is to sign ANOTHER 36 MONTH CONTRACT! I guess this is the only way these vultures can stay in business!
I am literally paying for services on a house I have no connection when all I'm trying to do is uphold my contract and get the services I'm paying for at the same time. Is that too much to ask out of a business? To actually get what you're paying for? Call me crazy, but I will tell everyone I know about this. Current customers that I know will not sign another contract and people I know who may be looking for a security system will not go with ADT. This is the most horrible treatment that I have ever dealt with! I would rather have my home unsecured than deal with these awful people. They're the ones robbing me anyway.

I have had ADT for 20 years. Same house for 16 years. In those 16 years my alarm has NEVER gone off, police have never been called. A few years back, I had another sensor put in, and I got a small (17 pound) dog. Alarm has NEVER (as I already stated) gone off. In late summer, I was upstairs (no one else in the house) and alarm was on away. Dog was with me. Alarm started beeping that there was an intruder. I knew no one was in the house, and I reset it. Six weeks later, four times in 2 weeks, the alarm has gone off. I've not been at home (of course) and they called me.
First time I let the police come out. I then got a nasty gram from the police dept saying I would be fined for the next visit when there was not an issue. Next 3 times I said "don't send the police" - I knew something was wrong with one of the motion detectors. Last week, a tech came out, acted confused and said he replaced one of the motion detectors. Well, Monday this week, at 1245p, I received yet another phone call that the alarm was going off. Dog was locked up in bedroom upstairs (no motion detectors upstairs). No sensors showed a door or window had been opened. I said I needed another tech as SOMETHING IS WRONG.
I scheduled one for today between 8-9 am (FIRST appt of the tech's day) as I am supposed to be WORKING instead of dealing with these people who cannot fix the issue. You guessed it - NO ONE SHOWED UP. When I called - I was told the tech was doing 'inventory' and would be out after that was completed. SERIOUSLY? INVENTORY? I received a phone call AND an email stating my appointment was for 8-9 am for today - and yet this person was doing inventory. I am fed up. I am going to cancel the service as obviously ADT has no clue what is going on, what they are doing, how to effectively fix the problem I am having NOR can they show up when they are scheduled. Ridiculous.

I wanted the technician to assess our system for takeover. What I was told and promised on the phone was not what the tech came up with. He could not tell till he installed the panel and keypad that he couldn't connect our existing smoke/heat sensors as well as our inside and outside sirens. There were also additional charges for the translators and the additional touch screens. Instead of saving money and despite all of the applied credits, I owed over $2000 which was mostly for replacing sensors which I could accomplish at a much lower cost. The system is cellular and doesn't work with phone lines.

11/14 - I requested to change my alarm code and was advised that I would be contacted the following day. 11/15 - I saw on my app on my cell phone that ADT called me back to back. I called back and was told that a representative is going to call me to change the code, but they had to speak to me verbally. Approx 12pm this was completed. When we got home around 5 pm, and entered the changed code, it did not work. Tried the previous code and it did not work. Shortly my alarm goes off, ADT calls, gave the password and explained the situation.
They temporarily disabled my account and said they could only do this for 20 minutes and there was "nothing" they could do. I called back and spoke to a representative that attempted to help and then was told, "there is nothing they could do" and told me to disable it. I called back and spoke to Nicky aka Adrienne (ID**) and she was amazing; however, most of her peers were not.
After about 1.5 hours of troubleshooting and me getting more frustrated during this time, she stuck it out with me and was in email contact with a Larry from Irving, TX technology center that said that he would have someone call and attempt to download the new password. He did, (I did not get that reps name) but he was useless. What he attempted to do was not successful and he basically told me "there is nothing we can do tonight". I explained my frustrations and told him that I am supposed to without an alarm because of a mistake that was done on ADT's end. He told me "I guess so." Furious enough, I had Nicky on my cell phone and told her what he just told me and while she apologized, he hung up after he heard that.
After about another hour of attempting to figure it out, I told Nicky that I was incredibly upset this isnt resolved yet. What is it that we have to do to get this fixed. Meanwhile, we all just came home. Attempting to get 3 kids (10, 5 and 1) ready for bed and fed and dealing with an alarm that continued to go off, receiving calls from ADT to verify my password and even 2 visits from the Chino Police Department. At this point, Nicky told me that she will get a technician out tomorrow from 12-5 pm and of course, I declined. She asked me when I will like a tech to come out and I demanded, "NOW". She put me on hold and told me an emergency technician is going to come out. She couldnt provide me with an ETA because it was through the scheduling department and that is in another center but they should be contacting me within the hour to give me a better ETA.
Imagine my surprise that this did not happen and I had to put in another call to see what I could find out to only be told again, "there is nothing more I can tell you" - Jasmine (who hung up on me because all the managers were in a meeting at midnight), and Shawnie (ID **) told me she couldnt give me a better ETA because "we have to wake the technicians up and he is coming from Riverside and he has to get his tools". Keep in mind, Riverside is no more than 30 minutes from me.
Called back again and got Veanette and she was also an incredible rep that admitted to dropping the ball (not her, but the company) because with a download the homeowner SHOULD be home. No other rep, including the department that downloaded it, stated that. She also understood my frustrations and apologized and heard me out. I had calmed down at this point, but she definitely knew how upset I was and reasoned with me. She gave me information on the license numbers I requested and confirmed that a technician will be there by 10 pm (Request went in at around 6:51 p.m.) Skipping ahead of time.
Technician did not arrive until 10:20 pm (another surprise). Leroy the technician immediately told me the tech shouldnt have tried to download the password change without anyone being here. Explained to him, but they did. He stated that since the system is armed he cannot connect to the system because the system is on (which EVERYONE KNEW) but sent him out anyway. He asked me if I knew the distress code, told him that we never had one of those. He called his supervisor, Paul ** and he did not answer. He told me there is nothing he could do tonight, unplugged the system and left by 10:43 pm.
You tell me if I am supposed to be ok with this Reimbursement, compensation and an upgrade to our system complimentary for the inconvenience this has caused me and my family. In addition to that, customer relations should pull every log of my calls to see where I am coming from and that I only put the major parts of my issues down, but it sure was more than 4,000 characters worth. I am literally sitting here without an alarm and NO resolution and someone, including the emergency technician thinks that is just peachy!!! Called back, AGAIN, to be told... there is nothing else they could do tonight and they are not sure when the next department (Loyalties) will be able to call me back since they no longer make my keypad. The JOY of being a long time customer.

Let me begin by saying that this is my first review of any product or service. I'm generally the one that benefits from others insightful positive or negative comments but have never wrote one myself until today. The level of frustration and fury I have with ADT at this moment rivals nearly every other negative emotion I have ever felt. A little background. We signed up for ADT after a home next to ours was broken into. We knew at the time that we would not be at that location for more than 3 years, and when I asked about the 3 year contract agreement, I was told that this was nullified if we were to move before the 3 years was up. When we moved 18 months later, I called ADT to cancel my service.
I was told that there would be a $600+ termination fee. After much debate, I reluctantly agreed to continue the service at our new address. I was told at that time that we would just need to finish out the 3 year contract and we could cancel at the end of that period. So tonight marked the end of the original 3 year contract. I called to cancel our service and was told that, when we moved, our 3 year contract had started over and it would be another 18 months before we could cancel. I talked for an hour and was transferred 7 different times. At one point, I was told that we could cancel without paying a termination fee, and was later told by a manager that this would be impossible.
I now have a newfound passion: telling everyone I know, and encouraging them to tell everyone they know, etc to avoid ADT like the plague. I was blatantly lied to on multiple occasions and have been robbed of literally thousands of dollars. NEVER EVER EVER do business with this company. I'm sure there are some good people there who are trying to earn an honest living, but this company has an incredulous level of deception and greed that permeates it to its core. Again, I repeat, if you need a new home security system, NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER even consider this company. Doing business with them is one of my greatest regrets of all time.

We have two places that ADT is looking after, one here in Arizona and another one in Alaska. For years, I was paying over $200 for two or three months, but when I told the gal that came in after we had the last break-in in Alaska, she couldn't believe that was what we're paying for. So I probably need to talk to somebody about it sometime. Other than that, they do a good job and I don't have any problems with them at all.

I feel like was scammed. You were running a special of 27.99. But that was only a come-on. To get wireless was extra. To get the necessary equipment was extra for every piece. I had to pay $497.95 immediately. The monthly payment was more than twice what I was expecting. Someone made a mistake entering my address. I live in a house and an apartment number was added to the address. I had to be home to receive new papers with the correct address which took time out from my work. I am extremely upset about this. Your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I had to call and request my stake sign and stickers. I have not received them yet.

I had ADT installed just a month ago through an Authorized ADT dealer with DEFENDER. After reading my contract thoroughly a few days later, I had a lot of questions because the contract was not what dealer told me at time of sale. One of my door sensors quit working (28 days after install) so dealer came out to fix it. The sensor had been improperly installed on door by trainee he had with him at time of installation (I guess he didn't oversee trainees work). Just a quick adjustment of sensor placement and my system is now fine.
When Dealer came at 6:15 PM (appointment was to be between 11 and 3) to fix my door sensor, his breath smelled of alcohol. I don't want anyone coming into my house to deal with security issues while under the influence. Don't know what to do about that issue. I asked him about specific items in contract that troubled me: 90-day limited warranty and QSP (Quality Service Protection) specifically. He told me Pulse1 has "lifetime warranty on equipment" and that I had "QSP automatically with Pulse1". I pointed out in contract where it specifically says I only have a 90-limited warranty and must ask for QSP (and pay for it). He continued to insist that the contract was wrong and to ignore it. I really tried to get the Dealer to understand that I believe I am legally bound by the specifics of the contract and cannot rely on his verbal statements or promises.
From conversations with ADT customer care, I was told that after 90 days, my contract is transferred from Dealer to ADT. She confirmed the need for QSP if I was concerned about equipment malfunction. Yet the Dealer is telling me I automatically have QSP with Pulse1 contract and "lifetime equipment warranty". The contract does not say either of those things.
I don't know what to think. Is dealer purposely misrepresenting things to me? Why is he telling me items in the contract I signed are "wrong"? I believe I am legally bound to the specifics of contract. Anything he says verbally contrary to contract is not enforceable. If I do not obtain QSP before end of 90 days limited warranty, I will have to pay out of pocket for all service calls and all equipment repair/replacement. With a malfunction just 29 days after install, I am not sure I can be confident I won't have expensive equipment replacement issues over the next 3 years.
There is language in contract that says at the end of the first year of my 3-year contract, my "annual service charge" can be changed within just 10 days notice. Yet nowhere in the contract is there an "annual service charge" mentioned. It only has "monthly charges". Dealer was unable to answer my question about that. I have deep concerns about my contract.
I am very confused about which entity (ADT or DEFENDER) I am supposed to contact and who I actually contracted with for which services. There are multiple different phone numbers in the contract and very hard to determine who to call for what. The contract has requirements that all things must be done in writing by U.S. mail but I do not even know what address I am supposed use (ADT or DEFENDER). I have a myADT account but apparently service appointments for Dealer are not communicated with ADT or myADT system.
I originally responded to a special mailer to get ADT system for just $27.99 a month and $850 "free equipment". I just purchased my first home and wanted a security system. I tried a 30-day free trial with another company but returned it after two weeks as it did not meet my needs. When the "Authorized Dealer" arrived for appointment, he immediately installed the keypad to my wall and we hadn't even discussed any specifics. (A pretty sneaky way to be sure I sign a contract.) The $850 "free equipment" was just the Impressa keypad, two door/window sensors, an indoors motion detector and a keyfob (plus yard sign and window stickers). That is woefully inadequate to protect any home and cannot possibly cost $850. I wanted every door and window to have a sensor. I didn't need indoor motion detection.
So after adding 8 sensors, an outdoor siren, three smoke detectors, two 2-way keyfobs, and emergency pendant, the total amount I owed for equipment was over $1200, payable at $307 a month for four months and a monthly monitoring fee of $52.99. What happened to the $850 free equipment and $27.99 monitoring advertised? Yes, I did have 3 business days to cancel the contract I signed but I really wanted ADT monitoring system that met my needs so did not cancel despite the financial hardship for the next 3 months to pay for equipment. So am I very anxious and confused about the contract I signed and what the Dealer is telling me. I do not know what to do about it.

We've had ADT for probably 35 years. We've never had a problem and if accidentally we set the alarm off, we knew the code and they straighten it out very quickly. And if they bar everyone out then they would set the system down to put a new battery in. Our experience with them has been very good.

So, for those that couldn't see what my resolution was they reverted my bill back to its original contract price. Saying any increases during contract period can be opted out of. Here is what I learned during all this so you know.
2. You can opt out of these increases but there is a time limit to do so. My advice would be watching your bill very closely I do not know how long your opt-out the window is.
3. (My personal note from my own experience) If you have already been charged these increases and you want something done about it don't bother calling ADT because they will stand behind this contract you have probably never read. Just go ahead and create an account on this website and rip them a new one in front of a bunch of people and they will miraculously be able to make some changes to your bill.

I have an ADT account and my price has gone up twice. Roughly a 17% increase in 2.5 years started at 47.99 now at 55.57. But if you ask when you start an account they will say no increases to premium during contract without changes to service. Questioned them about it and they say there are provisions in your contract that allow for premium increase. So be aware they WILL lie to you. I have screenshots of convo with new accounts person saying premiums will not increase.

I agreed to an inspection by the company ADT Security around 4 months ago because of their special on installation of equipment at 0 cost to new subscribers. The company sent out a company representative who also was an installation tech. He found that I needed more equipment than the special was offering and I agreed to an amount around 434 dollars for the extra equipment. I also was sold the security monitoring at around 35 dollars a month and guaranteed that price, which later became over 52 dollars a month because I did not have a landline, which was known by the company representative and he never stated that would cause my monthly monitoring to be more than the 35 a month!
So after dealing with the company a month later on the monitoring increase of almost 20 dollars more a month falling on deaf ears, now the company has charged me more than 1600 dollars for their equipment and say I have a signed contract (I never received an invoice or ever signed a contract). I am completely devastated by their fraudulent means, and ADT Securities customer service has been no help in this! I am at a loss to what I need to do. This large corporation has many complaints against them for many reasons and I cannot believe there is no help for the little people they are committing unscrupulous harm on. I surely hope my terrible experience with ADT will deter good people seeking an honest company will not consider ADT Security for their equipment or monitoring needs!

We got ADT's regular alarm system for the windows and doors from the inside. So far, it's been great. One time, I called their sales rep for the cameras. It was done over the phone and our interaction was very good. They're very knowledgeable. Overall, we had a good experience and they have great service. They direct the money to my bill each month.

When we moved back to the States, I had called ADT up and got their security system. I'm really happy with it. My call with their rep during the installation went fine. It has been a little over two years now and I haven't had any issues. When I'm out of town, I am able to check the system over the internet and then I can reset it.

We had some neighbors that had ADT. I made a phone call and the service was almost immediately installed the next day. They were all positive and the installer was very helpful and wasn't pushy about selling other products that could've been installed. He just suggested that those products were available which I appreciated because I wasn’t interested in those.

My wife ordered the free equipment installation and when installation tech showed up presented her an order for 800 plus but gave her a discount of 400. ADT has billed us 1600 dollars as of date and told her there is a contract for that amount. We do not have a signed contract in our possession. Fraud has been committed by this huge company and I see that there are hundreds of complaints against them. If I saw these complaints I would never ever have used them. We are going to file complaints with every overseeing entity in the State to get their licenses revoked in Az if our money is not returned, period! By the way we do not have a receipt! I have operated a business for years and never dealt with any companies as bad as this one! Aren't security companies supposed to be safe, trustworthy and have integrity?

Before installing the system, A LENGTH OF WORK TIME should be told to the customer. Perhaps an earlier time of day may have allowed PRACTICE time. More time is needed for a customer to PRACTICE the use of the communication devices AND to ask questions.

I called ADT up 24 years ago because I had it in my other house. I've only interacted with their reps twice, and they've all been fine. ADT has made one upgrade to the system I have two years ago and I have no problems with it.

We had service for maybe 6-7 years... Overall, their service was fine. But they wanted to make just a little more money... by saying our cancellation was effective immediately, but they wanted to keep billing us for another 30 days. I don't see that anywhere in the contract I have nor online, and Googling didn't show anything with 30 days... We will be disputing it.

There were some problems out here where we live. People were taking stuff that's why we decided to get ADT and the system is working well. We have the simple package and my satisfaction with the services has been very good so far. My interactions with the installers were very good, too. However, they sent us a number and said we're supposed to change the time but we don't know how to do it. But, other than that, we like the system.

I just bought a house and someone was paying attention to the home purchases in the area, and so ADT came and sold me on their services. Interaction with their installation team has been great. ADT's services are fine, but I haven't been turning it on. I’m actually interested in upgrading to the Pulse system. My wife wants an intercom and a lot of the stuff that’s out there is either an older piece of older style, or the newer ones. I can’t find anything that I know is tried and true. And so, I was thinking about having somebody come out and see what they can sell me on the full Pulse system. The only thing was they were pushing the bottom line system. At that time, I wasn’t ready to make a decision. Plus, I didn’t realize that they had an intercom system that might really work to the best of our needs.

On October 3rd I called ADT to cancel my service and spoke to a man who informed me that my service would be up in November and that "I called just in time". That my service could be cancelled as of November and that I would NOT be charged any additional fees and that since my service was paid a month in advance that I did NOT owe any additional monies and my service would be shut off as of November sometime... I did not get the exact date.
Today, November 9th they charged my card an additional $29.59, even though I was told I did NOT owe them any money. When I called the accounting office, I was informed that there were cancellation fees. WOW I was told by someone a month ago that I had NO fees or monthly payments owed and I would NOT be charged any additional monies, but today they found a reason to charge me... over a month later. They also claim that they sent me a letter of the cancellation and that I owed them the money, which strangely I never received. I requested a refund, which the obviously will NOT give me! They need to fire the employee who told me I did NOT owe any additional monies... and refund my CC.

I do not live near an ADT office and it took four months, hours on the phone with many departments and reps, one stood up appointment from a serviceman, wrong information from multiple reps, and me calling to cancel my service for ADT to offer to get a rep to my house to UPGRADE a product on my current system. I would never recommend them to anyone. They pride themselves on superior customer service, but they have none.

Had ADT for five years and it made me feel safer when I'm by myself and coming home at night. Although when we were leaving to go to our other house, we couldn’t set our alarm so, we called ADT and they told us that the battery was dead on the window. Then they told us which battery to change. So, we did that and it worked. That’s a cool experience with them and the person we’ve talked to was great.

Although my wife was excited to get her new house alarm, as our daughter has in her home, we can't help but have a major concern. The inside garage door contact is malfunctioning. We have had the technician here and he said it was fixed. He wasn't gone a hour and the same problem arose. We now have to set a bypass to set our alarm, plus we have to wait another few days for a return repair... I don't get it. You have our money... now wait. Not Happy!

We bought an alarm system and about 6 months in we started having issues! Big sign that this thing was junk. We have had several service calls and they have been unable to fix the system and the novice guys they send out to fix it come with no parts to replace the bad parts! I caught them lying about having to order an antenna when the service tech told my wife he had it back at his office but didn't have time to get it! Again why not come out with the parts you need to fix these things! They literally fit in a tiny box! So now they want us to take off another day losing pay to fix something they say can't even guarantee will fix the piece of junk! They don't want to let us out of our contract even though we are now paying for an item the doesn't work and they say they might not even be able to fix! Do yourself a favor and stay away from these very shady people! They lie! If I could give negative stars, I would.

First of all, I selected ADT because of the high ratings. I have had probably the worst experience in the last 3 months that I have ever had with any service. First of all, I scheduled the initial visit and no one showed up. Instead, they had apparently had it incorrectly scheduled for several days later. After the installation, I needed to fill out manual paperwork because the installers said that their systems were down (not good). Then I received a letter dated August 4, 2016 stating that I needed to call their Permits Department to schedule a final inspection. I call the 866-502-3559 number for Defenders and get voice mail (go ahead and try it yourself before even considering them). It is now November 8, 2016 and I have called no less than 5 times with no response.
In the meantime, my son was home alone and the alarm went off. He called ADT and they said that the basement windows and doors were open and they were not. They said it 'wasn't an emergency' so they would be delayed. They told him to do a reset but the zones were still showing that they were open. There was an error code that went away on its own several days later but ADT did not ever send anyone to check it. I called customer support at Defenders and demanded to speak with a manager who was less than sympathetic. I did get him to finally send someone to check the system and he 'kindly' forwarded me again to the Permits Department - surprise - I got voice mail again!
Note that they were pretty persistent when they wanted $80 for the permit - didn't have a problem calling me then. So please reconsider ADT & Defenders. I moved into a new home and was enticed by their 'free' equipment but should have paid the money and stayed with my local and RELIABLE provider (National Security). This was a huge mistake.

So, I signed up with ADT. After ruining my house (see pictures provided) they told me that they won't fix or reimburse me for the damage they made while installing until I pay for two estimates! In the photos you will see three large holes to a support column, three drill holes around the monitor, and a cord that is supposed to be ran inside the wall, but for some reason is on the outside and stapled to my floorboard. There is also a photo where the installer apparently forgot to put the other part of the sensor in my window.
Anyways, needless to say I was dissatisfied and have received nothing but rude customer service along the way. I set a time for them to remove my alarm that day. They cannot do this in the late afternoon at a convenient time for normal people, so I changed my work schedule and did 11 am to 3 pm. No one showed up! I got a call at 5:30 (2.5 hrs) later saying they were on their way. You would think I would have been called earlier. Sorry this is long, but please do not use this company. You are just a number.

I had to pick a home monitoring system and went with ADT due to brand recognition. My parents also had them. Now, I've had their system for seven years. Everything seems to work fine, except that I had problems with the Repulse, a small screen that lets me monitor cameras in the house and some other activities, and nobody among their customer service representatives had any idea what to do. But aside from that, for the most part when I've called them, they've returned to me and come out quickly.

I spoke with Katrina today in the loyalty department and she was very pleasant. I wanted the appropriate person to be notified of the exceptional service I received today. I called in regarding an ongoing issue I have been having since my install date. My system has been going on and offline due to lack of signal. I called this morning because once again my service showed offline. I had a tech to come out last week who said it was due to the signal strength and that the problems would probably continue to happen. Well because I pay for a service that just so happen to work some of the time I called to cancel. I spoke with a rep in the tech department who initially said the system showed online and functional then after logging in told me otherwise.
I then asked to speak with someone to cancel service. When I spoke with Katrina she provided an immediate solution to the problem I was having and offered to set everything up. She was very apologetic and confident that her solution will help with the problem. I am scheduled for service on Saturday for a tech to come out and install the cell guard that she suggested. This is the first person within ADT that I have spoken with that seem to know how to help. I am thankful for her service and even if the solution she provided doesn't work I am happy that I was able to get such a knowledgeable person on the line that was willing to help.

My daughter called to set up the security system as I was distraught after a very traumatic break-in and was told during installation changing the account to my name would be no big deal. From the installation to customer service after the sale, I had a stellar experience. The installer was courteous even when my movers required my immediate attention and he had to wait. He was thorough in explaining everything and when I needed to contact him on a Saturday about placement of the window contacts so a worker could put in mini-blinds, he was accommodating and very helpful, insisting that it was no inconvenience to help me. This is the second home where I've used ADT. I'm sure you can see why.

Called to follow-up on $100 visa gift card since I could not locate the required certificate code. A representative stated an email was being sent containing required redemption form with code. Why did the installer not tell us that the sensors may "fall off" the window creating a situation hereby the systems tells us a "window is open?" Pro: Very pleasant people & lots of time provided for installation. I'm expecting the equipment & system to work well. Con: Major bait & switch. An alarm system without a cell phone connection (the advertised entry level) would be useless. Final price much higher. Hardware was being installed before we understood the full price. I understand that pushes forward your goals but made us feel very manipulated. Your order charge of $108 refunded with a $100 debit card less shipping & handling of $5 was a particularly cheap trick.

I had a long range radio problem and talked to someone to fix that. At least I hope it is fixed... I live in a brick fronted house with a metal roof so he said I will have problems with the signal reception. I wonder why the installers did not back off and say I needed a land line---one was here and could not get it to work so a different one came the next work day. Also the gift card I found impossible to get..

I am happy with ADT. We had a smoke detector put in and a flood indicator on the basement. We also have additional settings for our garage door and glass break sensor for our garage patio. Everything went very smooth with the installation. Their sales representatives were very informative and not pushy at all. He suggested a couple of options, like the smoke alarm and the additional sensors in the garage. He was very helpful in determining what we actually need.

My window sensors are falling out and activating the system. When I called for support I was told the soonest I could be helped would be 11/14. Today is 11/4. This is not a cheap system or service and I have to go unprotected in certain areas of my home. As before, I will not renew this contract.

Since I had another security service previously the box and wires were already there. I thought that this was going to be an easy setup connecting the phone to ADT by using what was already there. This process took some time and after visits from ADT and Comcast I now find out that I need to upgrade to the cell which is about $21 more dollars a month. Since I'm in need of a security system for my home at this time. I upgraded to the cell. However since I am on a monthly budget if this does not work out I will definitely be contacting the company. $27.99 to $48.99 during this time may not be doable for me.

We were told installation would be $106 and that we would receive a $100 VISA card to totally offset the cost and that the monthly would be $19.99 because we were previous customers. No. The Installation cost over a thousand dollars and the monthly is over $50 bucks. We were completely dismayed and worried about how to pay all these bills. The installer was terrific and did explain that because the company will pay for losses incurred when the system is armed that he had to do an installation that would actually protect the house. I made him redo his estimate four times to get the price down to just over a thousand dollars for a very basic, minimal system that he felt he could sign off on. Why did you say it would be one tenth of the actual cost for a minimal system?

Made initial order over the phone, during which order package was negotiated and agreed. As I was passing on an offer received directly from ADT set to expire, I explicitly confirmed the order package and hardware included and asked for email confirmation with order details. I did not receive this until two weeks later when I chased prior to scheduled install date, which showed incorrect information. I tried calling to cancel the installation, but I could not get through.
When installation technician came to the house as scheduled, I asked that we confirm the order details before commencing work. Sure enough the order details he had were incorrect. We therefore spent 2 hours on several calls with customer service as I persuaded them to listen to the call recording from my original order. Per the audio recording, they confirmed that the sales rep and sales manager had agreed to the offer package as I'd described, but customer service manager noted he still cannot honor it. The technician onsite spoke to his supervisor and customer service directly and made me a new offer which costs me $200 more than original offer, but I agreed as I'd already spent too much time on this. Technician then started the installation, including drilling equipment to my walls.
However, he then came to tell me that the customer service is now again retracting the offer (claiming miscommunication between the technician and customer service - I was not involved in that conversation). My options were to pay another $100 (total $300 higher than original offer) or to cancel and deal with customer service to try and work out how they repair the holes in my wall. Having already spent 4 hours with installation only just begun, and not willing to spend more time with customer service trying to get my walls fixed, I told the technician to complete the work. Absolutely horrible experience. 4 hours spent prior to installation commencing. Offers made and retracted twice. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will be lodging further complaints. The technician onsite was professional, helpful, and apologetic the entire time as he understood and shared in my frustration.

Then he told me about connecting with my landline which is the amount I thought I was getting, Then he had to put it somewhere else in the house after he drill a hole in my wall. This was not a good experience. The rep pressured us to get a new system even though the existing one was 4 years old and in perfectly good working condition. My husband called his friend who is with corporate ADT when the rep was there. When asked straight out if he worked for ADT or an authorized dealer, he said annoyed: "ADT, come on man, I'm paid by ADT!" He lied. We told him we wanted a one year contract and he said he didn't know about it but to sign the paperwork and call ADT later since we had 3 days to cancel. My husband got annoyed with his attitude and said he was going to walk around the block.
When my husband was gone the rep said some inappropriate things to me. Maybe he thought he was flattering me, not OK to talk to customers that way. At this point I wished I had left with my husband. He kept talking about how he was on a schedule and needed to get done and when done said how he was going to go have a big breakfast, how he makes 3 times the amount of his boss and doesn't have the headaches. There was more but need I go on?

I thought it to be extremely deceiving for you to offer a $100.00 VISA gift card through a third party that requires the customer to send in a money order or a cashiers check to cover the shipping and handling cost. I did not apply for my card because I felt this to be a scam on the customer.

We had Brinks which got transferred over to ADT. We've had their service for a long time and had good interactions. We set our alarm off one time, gone out the front door, and didn’t answer the call, so they sent the police. Everything went well.

The gentlemen that came to explain the services offered to me were extremely nice, courteous and professional. They handled everything as well as I could have expected them to. They explained how the services worked and showed me how to use it. However I did have a problem with your advertising. One reason I left the company I had was because of cost and when I asked your company to install the service I had the impression I would be saving money and it ended up costing me more each month. Your advertisement is it clear. It is very misleading.
I assumed I would get what I needed for $26.99 a month or else I may not have had my other service taken out. I am still not happy with the monthly cost especially since I have already paid a substantial amount for plastic sensors and a smoke alarm which I already had two of. It just didn't call the fire dept. I intend to put a warning to my friends on Facebook to let them know they will pay a lot more than your advertised price if they choose to use your service. That is not saying I am dissatisfied with the service I may get from you but I did feel your ad misleads the truth.

The sales guy on the phone seemed fairly easy to deal with & did not press or pressure excessively. The installation guy seemed knowledgeable, but was clearly also more of a salesman. I didn't mind him trying to upsell because that's his job. He explained how various items worked fairly clearly & that was helpful. Ultimately I think we got close to what we wanted & it was what we could afford. I didn't like that he told us we had no dial tone on our phone so we had to go wireless, which was the much more expensive option, but my husband easily plugged in a phone & got dial tone. The first bill was supposed to be partial current month plus next month. They took that at the higher wireless rate so it was twice what we agreed to & the refund will take 10 days. Felt crooked. Also, he disconnected the old alarm but left the box upstairs open with wires exposed in our closet. Found that after he left.

Great service. Your representatives seemed very knowledgeable about your products and very cooperative to work with me to find a plan to fit my budget. They were very patient and took the time to explain how everything is going to work in detail and took decent time to review the house.
