It was through the OJ Simpson case that we knew of Brinks and this was later taken over by ADT. We liked Brinks better, though, and we had an insurance that we pay for. Nonetheless, our ADT is working like it's supposed to but we don't have the contact that we used to have when we had it with Brinks. We have two of ADT's yard signs because we have two front doors, but one is broken. We could use a new one but I don't want to pay for it. I wouldn’t have to with Brinks.

ADT is our first security system and for the 2 mos. that we've used it it's doing good so far. The installers were excellent and customer service reps were great.

I sold my home in Oct. 2016, I notified ADT about the move and informed them when I purchase another house I will reactivate my account. I received a call from an collection agency, asking for 1275.00 for a 3 year contract that I had defaulted on. I called ADT and I was informed that their policy you have 30 days to reactivate your contract. I told them that we had not purchased a home as of yet. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was place on eternal hold in which I hung up. I will never use ADT again. Very unfair.

I have known ADT for many years through businesses here, so I also have them for my general home security in my doors and windows. They do very well and I am satisfied. Their sales reps and installation team were good. They showed me how to use the system and they clean up after themselves. Their system is reliable. I would recommend them.

I spoke to Jimmy from American home alarm (ADT 3rd party vendor) last Nov. He promised me that if I choose ADT he'll give 2 months free that will start the following month and $100 gift card that will be mailed within 2-3 weeks. When I check my account they were charging me so I called them today to clarify. Now they are saying that the free 2 months will now take effect after 90 days and the gift card is 6-8 weeks! And I asked, "How come they said that's how it is?" I don't mind paying and waiting for something but I just hate people making all this promises just to convince the customer. Now that I signed for 2 years contract I have no other choice but to pay and wait. I hope you do something with your 3rd party vendor because it's not doing good with your business now.

The overall installation was very good and efficient. It would have been nice to have a little more clarity on the final costs. We had not anticipated what the sensors would cost. The instructions were a bit of an overload. We are from the vacuum tube, resistor era.

I feel very safe with this system. I love it. Great customer service as well. The ADT Pulse is a genius idea. The only thing I wish is that the camera system would send some sort of alert to either user or police if the camera detects suspicious behavior around your home or other ADT secured property.

ADT sales agent didn't directly answer our questions about early termination fees when we started the service. Later on, they sent us a bill of $1100. With multiple phone calls to customer service, loyalty department and my attempt to contact sales agent, each time they would give different answers and we never got a call back from sales agent. I rather pay termination fees than staying with liars and irresponsible people.
Hello Rachana- We apologize for the trouble caused. Termination fees reflect 75% of your remaining contract balance. When you obtained your services you agreed to received ADT monitored protection for 36 months. By cancelling approximately 30 months prematurely, it resulted in a balance owed.

I wouldn't be with ADT if I wasn't satisfied with their service. Their sales representatives answered my questions and they took care of what I needed to be taken care of. They sent me another phone because they said mine was outdated, so I got a flip phone because all I ever use it for is to call somebody when I'm out of town. I was talking with two other guys and I told them that I don't have any problems with ADT.

I signed up for ADT for our home while it was undergoing a renovation. We intended to keep the service for only 6-12 months. Despite knowing this, the agent signed us up for a 2-year contract. I never would have knowingly signed up for the service with such a long-term commitment. Furthermore, I don't see why the commitment is necessary -- the installation was paid for in cash upfront. Since making this mistake, I have learned of other security services with better customer service, faster response times, and no long-term contracts. I would strongly discourage anyone from using ADT.

I've had ADT a long time and my experience is very good. All the people seem to be very cooperative and want to make sure that their service is what it's supposed to be. I had a little problem here recently; a couple of batteries got low and a false alarm went off. Then, the representative who came by was very efficient and courteous.

About a year later when we moved into the house the we bought, someone got broken into on the road so we called ADT and they hooked us up. ADT makes us feel a lot better having them but thank God we never had to use them. I recommend ADT highly as I did to my friends.

The technician was friendly, courteous, and prompt. However, the additional charges of over $600 for equipment was an unpleasant surprise based on my upfront fee of $104. I think ADT would be better served if that were explained during the introductory period versus having the poor technician be the bearer of bad news.

I signed on with ADT and was confident that they would provide adequate protection insecurities for my home but as of now after several false alarms, police visits, numerous calls to ADT, the issue is still unresolved to cancel the service that has never worked properly. They want over $1,000 for a service that has never work properly or serviced by professionals and in my opinion these people aren't concerned one bit of the security of my home. All that I can tell that they are concerned with is making money. I have set for 4 days during the Christmas holiday when I should have been with my family at home with a faulty security system that doors have to be bypassed and unset or secured so that I can set the security system. What is the point and having a security system if I can't secure main points of entry as I leave for the holidays?
I have called ADT contractors, have tried to get somebody out here to fix the system and have been met unprofessional jokers that have no concern for my home security. I warned you, do not consider this system or this service to protect your home. When signing up with ADT they told me nothing about private contractors coming into my home and being responsible for the service of my system. I thought I was hiring ADT but in fact all ADT is a monitoring system they have nothing to do with the actual security system of your home. They take no part and making sure the system is functional or that you are satisfied as a customer with the system once the system is in place. It's basically hit and miss with the quality of service it provides. I sincerely don't think that they care one bit if your home is secure.

While trying to cancel my service today due to lack of use, I encountered a rude and arrogant customer service rep. His name is Peter and his ID is **. He was continually talking over me and was not helpful at all. I proceeded to ask to speak to a supervisor but of course they were running on a skeleton crew and were not available to talk to me. My wife called back to ask for our contract to be emailed to us and her exact words after she got off of the phone were "I'm not sure who the bigger douche was" due to her experience with a different guy at ADT. I understand that companies do not want to lose business but this sort of treatment not only ensures that we will cancel service ASAP, but will never use them again. I also will not recommend them to my friends and family.

I’ve had a security system in our house since ’89. In the mid ‘90’s ADT took over the security company I was with. The service is the same and it's fine.

I was contacted by an ADT representative at the ADT Norcross, Ga location. When the representative contacted me we reviewed the quote for service. Rep explained the application process to me saying that they just needed some personal information for their records. Rep also mentioned that credit will not be pulled. I agreed to move for with process. I started to feel uncomfortable with questions I was being asked such as past addresses, date of birth, social security number.
I stopped and asked why was all of this information necessary. She said it was a new process and assured me nothing would be done with my information and credit report would not be checked. Within a few days I received an alert that my credit report had been compromised and an unauthorized inquiry had been made. I was very upset by the deception and potential identity theft. I immediately contacted the management and they assured me that this shouldn't have happened. Very unsatisfied.

ADT calls me to let me know that there’s been an alarm off at my house, then they call the police department. Sometimes that happens if I accidentally open the door and they notice an alarm going off or if they notice something’s going on with their system. Last night I forgot I set the alarm earlier than I normally do and I had some Christmas lights out front. I opened the door and the alarm went off, but they didn’t call on that one because it didn’t go off very long. We also had a large theft where a small gang of kids broke into the house and a few other houses, but ADT was very helpful. Any kind of meeting with them that somebody had to come here has been excellent.
The installer was here for quite a while and he showed us how everything that's in the house worked. There’s a book with it, too. There was something going on with one of our batteries and I didn’t realize it was a battery, and the book explained that. ADT called us telling us there was something wrong, then they did some tests on the system and the batteries hasn’t done it since. They’re one of the better alarm systems around and I’m glad we called them.

The installation guy was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Working with the customer service reps has been great. The security system is fine, but the app sometimes won't work. It tells me it won't connect to my wireless internet connection.

Honestly, I've set my alarm off numerous times from my baby hitting the panic button to me leaving a door slightly open to trying to change the battery in the wrong fire alarm unit by popping it open and every single time I get a call from the nicest most respectful people on the planet making sure I'm ok. It's a comfort to know someone is there every single time without delay. And guess what if I miss the call and don't call them back they contact the police. Yes that happened too.

We had been loyal ADT customers for nearly 6 years. Our insurance company USAA had referred us to ADT. As a USAA member we were guaranteed additional service perks and a reasonable price. I contacted ADT today regarding another substantial price increase to our account. The representative was helpful but could not fully resolve the billing issue. I requested to speak with a superior to explain and resolve my questions. "Frank" the supervisor was defensive and rude from the get go. He stated that we were required to call yearly when we noticed a price increase and that ADT does not monitor the special pricing that USAA members are guaranteed. We are not even sure what USAA members should be paying as Frank would not provide us with this information. We decided right then and there we had enough.
Frank's lack of customer service and helpfulness prompted us to cancel our service. When we requested the cancellation Frank's exact words were “Let me get this straight. You’re canceling your account over a $3.00 a month increase." We did not dignify his rudeness with a response. We canceled our account and have another service provider scheduled to restore our service within the next 3 days. Sorry to leave them in many ways but we will not be subject to the 45% increase in monthly fees we have incurred over the past 5 years.

We've had ADT for 10 years and we've had it upgraded a couple of times since then. We've got a remote, smoke detectors, and I can arm and disarm it from my phone. Everybody has been very pleasant and helpful. They've taken care of what we needed them for, and so far, I'm very satisfied with the service. ADT is very reliable, courteous, and they have good service. We would recommend them highly.

The Pulse system rarely works and the batteries on the door lock run out frequently with no warning. The other complaint that I have is that ADT offers all kinds of new equipment for new customers but gives nothing for existing loyal customers.

This company has been AWFUL! First of all, they pressured me to buy all kinds of sensors I didn't want and charged me over a thousand dollars for them. Then, the next month they mailed me a promotion to get ALL OF THE SAME SENSORS FOR FREE! After talking to other customers, I've discovered that they give the sensors to anyone who doesn't want to buy their service as bait. So since I CHOSE to use this particular company in advance, they penalized me for it.
Next, the alarm would go off and the ADT Pulse application had so many problems that most times I was unable to remotely disarm the alarm! This was terrible. I would call customer support and they would tell me that there were issues or that it must be my phone service, only I use several phone applications to run various home services and I know that this is simply just not the case. The app was riddled with issues and often un-usable. I purchased this service BECAUSE the app was something I would absolutely need to use.
I had to move out of my place, and could no longer use the ADT system. I'm not in a building that has their own security system and has told me they will not let me use my own. ADT is now trying to charge me 75% of the contract fee which is HUGE and frankly, I just can not and will not pay this. I'm so upset with this company. I will make it my MISSION to campaign to every single home-owner I know to use one of their many competitors unless they waive my cancellation fee AND apologize for their awful Pulse service.

My dad and I decided that we needed to get a security system in the home since neither one of us was going to be readily available here. So, we went with ADT because they've been fairly well recognized as one of the best in the business. I set it when I leave the house. It has features that monitor the front door, the side door, and the back door. All these are connected and if anyone should try to break in through those doors, the alarm would go off.
I retired a couple of years ago and prior to that, after my dad passed away, the home was unattended through the day while I was at work. A couple of times the ADT team called me at work to report an alarm. Once was when we had a small earthquake that shook the neighborhood and set off the alarm. The other one was when an electrical storm passed through the area and the power went out, and the alarm went off. They contacted me at work to let me know that the alarm was going off, and I came home and turned it off.
It's been about a year or so ago that I was contacted by someone from the company about upgrading my service so that I could connect it to my smart phone, but I don't have a smart phone. It's an old system and could be upgraded, but it seems to be working fine. However, the warning lights on the control box continually flash, but when one of their technicians came out here and checked this out, he said that the system was working fine if I can just ignore the lights. So, the warning lights are going to continue to go off this way and can't be turned off because it's such an old system. I don't have a problem with that, since the control box is in an out-of-the-way place, and it's not an eyesore. Other than that, I had problem with the system when the monitor on the rear door had been damaged, and the technician came and replaced it for me.
I still utilize the system whenever I leave the home. I set the alarm when I leave and turn it off when I come back. So far, the service has been great and I haven't had any problems. It's been a good and positive experience overall with ADT. They're definitely top-rating. I feel comfortable having the service because, when I do occasionally leave town for a few days, it's nice to know that my home is protected.

My husband forgot they moved the contact in garage. After he pushed the button he said "oh no, I forgot." He was worried to get salt down in case I came home from hospital next morning. That's what was on his mind and not the alarm. ADT called within 30 seconds and I explained what happened. He was so sorry that he did that. And ADT was so understanding. And for that I thank you kindly. I had been in hospital and all on his mind he just forgot. Thank you for great service. We appreciate you being there for us. Keep up the great work. THANK YOU. We are so happy to have our new alarm system. We received excellent installment service, and the man answered all our questions. It really gives us the security we needed. The price is right too. I love the peace of mind having ADT has given me. I have pets and my biggest concern is their safety when I am not home. The couple of times that my alarm has gone off (once for a glass break alarm when I was home, once when I opened the front door without disabling the alarm) ADT was on it! They called right away! The company that installed my system, Safe Haven here in St. Louis, was awesome as well. The person that installed was professional and thorough. I was impressed! This is important as it is the first face of ADT with the customer. Well done ADT!! I will highly recommend you!

Love ADT. They keep my house protected. Every time my alarm goes off I get a call letting me know which one went off and they ask if I need assistance. I do tell people about my great experience with ADT. People have called wanting me to switch but I tell them I'm happy with ADT.

I've known about ADT for a long time because I worked at a bank. So I knew the quality. Our company was bought by ADT and that's why we have them. I love the sales rep that we had when we first bought the security system. He's the one that sold us on it, because at first I had all these unfounded thoughts. I figured that, "Oh, we're gonna have an alarm. They're gonna see the sign out there. They're gonna try to get in just to see that they can do it." But ADT's signs do help. People leave us alone when they notice that we have an alarm.
We have a regular alarm so that we can set it at night and then we can set it in the morning when we leave. One day, we had a door locked but wasn't latched. We didn't pull it real tight to make sure. We went to the gym to work out then we got a call that our door was open. What happened was a guy came to fill the oil and he put the bill on the door. When the door opened, it set the alarm off. ADT called our son and then the cops met us at the gym with him. I feel very protected with ADT and I'm very happy with them.
We're on a monthly payment which they take out of our account. I like that a lot better and I don't even have to worry about it. Originally I was getting the bill once a year. I called them up and said, "That's a hunk of money at one time for a retired person. Can we get on a monthly payment?" It was no problem at all.

The response to the alarm was more than adequate. My son was cooking and the smoke detector went off. When I wasn't able to get to the system to disarm soon enough I received an immediate phone call. I'm definitely impressed with the expediency of the ADT representatives.

ADT is the best security you can have for your home. It protects my: front door, garage door. My bedroom window, the guest bedroom window. My tv room window, there is a motion detector for the two sets of sliding doors to the deck. And one for the dining room.

I continue to have the worst experiences with ADT Customer Service. I simple wanted to discuss shortening the time from which the police would be notified once the alarm has sounded and verify if a police permit was on my account. I call, explain this to a young man. He states, "we can have someone shorten that time for you simply and another agent will have to verify if your account is up to date." Call started off GREAT. Friendly and seemingly helpful. But all that changes once the dreaded "transfer" is initiated. Agent transfers me and I have to start the entire conversation over. Why does ADT continue to COLD transfer people?? Is it too much to stay on the phone and relay the information to the new person so they don't have to ask the same general questions over and over??
Young lady on the phone starts the normal convo and then explains to me that "we can shorten the time from which the alarm is sounded but we would have to send out a technician to your home and you'd be charged a fee." FEE?? Apparently this isn't covered under general maintenance? I ask her if she can provide me with a location online that outlines general maintenance coverage which she says she can't. So I have no way to validate this or not? So now I've received 2 different stories for the same issue. It's not quick and easy and it won't happen without a fee attached?? I asked her why did the installation technician not go over this? Who in the right mind wants their alarm to SOUND FOR 60 SECONDS before ADT even reaches out to you? 60 SECONDS is a long time in the case of a real emergency.
I'm frustrated at this point but move on to my 2nd question. "Can you verify if my account has the necessary paperwork that attaches my home to the police?" Now here is where I almost lose it. She immediately says it doesn't have the permit. I'm thinking to myself, self, that was a pretty quick response to my question. So I ask again, "can you tell me what the last permit number was on my account because I've had ADT for such a long time, I know the permit expires and the old one should be on my account." She then says, "what is your address?" To which I reply, "how do you know if the permit is on my account or not if you haven't even logged into my account!!!"
At this point, I am truly done. This isn't the first time I have had issues with ADT Customer Service. Does their product work? Yes. Do I feel safe at times with it? I know it isn't a surefire thing but that is what the 2nd Amendment kicks in. I just can't get past the customer service. I love ADT's product but customer service is what keeps people coming back or referring it to others. At this point, I believe we may switch out of ADT once our contract is up on the weakness of customer service. I am only writing this in the hopes that something can be done to better train the staff. The staff is making the product seem worthless.

Was very please with the update to my system and the small amount that it cost me. The tech explaining things to me while he was installing the new system. He showed me how everything was going to work, including the camera. I would like to see a little more time spent going through everything more slowly or you have to learn as you go or when something happens.

We used ADT in our office starting 30 years ago and then added them to the house. We have two boxes and we have a couple of motion detectors and a battery backup. Several years ago we decided to have somebody come and make sure the battery was working. So they put some new equipment in, but same service, and we’ve had no problems it. We set the system off accidentally and they’re always very nice. They're very quick to respond, usually within a minute. We’re totally satisfied with ADT.

Travel all the time and needed to feel good about leaving our home empty. ADT has come through for us. Very fast response with alarms every time – even when it was our fault??? Kind of expensive compared to other systems out there, but quality and reputation are desirable traits for a security company to have and people definitely take notice when this sign is in your front yard. I have nothing except good experiences with ADT. I will never be without an alarm system. Had this alarm since 2002. Very courteous, and professional employees. Very prompt in sending new signs, and decals. The automatic pay system is also wonderful for me.

I am really pleased by the professional that is exhibited/ demonstrated each time I need to speak with a representative. When I first signed up I opted to receive the keypad and that was a big mistake. I needed another system at my front door. It is still possible to receive as a promotional? My system needed an update and I had been working out of town. Not only did they fix my system, but were able to do it the next day. The tech arrived early and his manager was bringing parts needed for the update. Both were very friendly and had me taken care of in less than an hour. Was not informed that you had to have a permit for your security system. That was a need to know! Also that the city police department will charge you every time they responded to an alarm, also a need to know. Besides paying monthly I now have a notice to pay the city for system and the alarm call. That's not right. Considering going to another alarm company!!

Regarding the false alarm fine for not having a valid permit, it is ADT policy to reimburse for false alarm fines that are a result of ADT error or faulty equipment after researching the issue. When possible, please take a few minutes to go over your ADT contract. We have had this system for about 7 years now and recently upgraded to the Pulse system. It is a good feeling knowing that you can leave your home and if anything happens you will be notified. It is nice to alarm and disarm this system right on the cell phone.

Video demonstrated all types of alarm systems and how to change time if applicable to your particular model. Very useful information although I did not have to change my time on my particular model. I have been a customer for many years, and each time I needed assistance, representatives have not disappointed. Don't think I would be happy with any other security system. ADT is reliable and I trust them. Sometimes when we forget to turn off the alarm when it is in the "stay" mode ADT calls but no one speaks. How do they know everything is ok?

We've been with ADT for a long time and it's been good with them. I've had battery change-outs and other issues and their reps have all been very pleasant. However, it was a little difficult when we had to get together to do the upgrade. It was inconvenient when they wanted to schedule it and then they sent us a nasty email saying that if we didn’t schedule, they're gonna cut off our service. I didn’t find that very nice. Also, I recently had cameras installed in my mother’s house because she has memory problems and I use them to monitor her but the definition’s not real good as I had expected. I really thought the cameras would be of a little higher quality as far as the picture goes.

We had telephone service for ages and then, we switched over to ADT. Then, somebody called us about U-verse and that sounded like a good deal so we signed up for U-verse. We had a couple of young ladies come to the door and try to upgrade the package and that was a bad experience. The two ladies were very nice but half of what they told us was not true and not accurate. It's either they didn’t know what they were talking about, or they lied to us. We talked with several people and we got up the chain after about six different transfers and calls from people. ADT gave us some recompense financially. Ever since then, everything has been fine. I wish we had faster internet service cause they don’t have the fiber-optic cable out here. But we were told they were going to have it so that would be nice. Otherwise, we're happy with our experience.

Delighted to return to ADT. However, I felt the sales representative was a bit pushy in regards to the sale. It was beneficial for the sale rep to add devices and products that neither worked with the layout of the home nor granted the desires of the customer. It was the installation team that made a better sales pitch and gave us more detail options of what would work better for the home. I am pleased with the installation and customer service I have received thus far by ADT. I hope you continue to strive for better sales rep training to ensure proper knowledge of equipment when doing home quotes. Thank you.

It's been great with ADT. I know that I can turn the alarm on and go away and be safe. I had a problem because even though I had my system turned on locally, they weren't receiving the signal at ADT. Their technician got to checking all the wiring and everything and fixed the problem so I was grateful.

I am very pleased with this system. I never have any trouble arming it in the evening or disarming it in the morning. If there is an alarm event, the monitoring office calls promptly to see if there is a problem. This is not a problem that happens very often.

Overall, I value and rely on ADT and my service. The only issue is that while the RasPlus works great once you get it to work right, it is not easy for the average non-commercial customer. I use your service for my home. It is a tough thing to get my PC's enabled to use RasPlus unless I call for support. I am not a neophyte with computers.

We have been very satisfied with our ADT plan offered in partnership with USAA. The representatives on the phone are always very helpful and understanding, and the switch to an alternate phone carrier (e.g. phone land line versus internet service through the cable company) was handled seamlessly. Automatic payments make the service almost invisible. We would recommend to our USAA friends.

ADT is great once you get to know phone numbers, people, etc. But early on, you can feel afloat with no paddle. When you answer an ad, you never know where people are coming from. Closer contact and more detailed contact info. would be appreciated. The product is good but after installation could be better.

I have no complaints. Only one thing that has happened this year is my bill went up some and I called and asked why? No one called me and I did not receive any notice in the mail. They took that charge off. My bill is automatically deducted every month. Then one month for some reason my bill was ridiculously low and the next month it caught up for some reason? Told them that can't happen again as I am retired and live on a budget.

We had put the house alarm on and left the house. We had to come back in and somehow the alarm went off. We disabled it and then put it on and left. Within minutes someone from ADT called the house and then our cellphone to made sure no one had broken in. We are pleased with the great response and service!

Cable service was having major problems with reception. After several visits from techs, the higher level of tech and he determined that the Pulse box was the culprit (it was flashing red, indicating it was not working properly). He unplugged the unit from the internet box and service was restored. After he and the online ADT tech conferred They both agreed the pulse unit needed service (it was flashing red) and arrangements were made for visit from an ADT tech. Upon arrival, without examining the unit he pointed fingers at AT&T and said it was their problem and they had screwed up by unplugging the unit. I had to become firm before he paid attention and examined the problem. In the end he stated that the pulse unit had been placed too close to the AT&T equipment and moved the pulse unit. It appears to have taken care of the problem.
I did not care for his dismissive and arrogant attitude towards me and the fact that the issue was more than AT&T unplugging the unit. He should have listened to the issue and immediately addressing it. Instead he pointed fingers at AT&T and when told that the tech had conferred with the ADT online support he made disparaging comments about the ADT online techs. The only reason I am satisfied is because the problem appears to have been resolved.

I have had ADT service since 2000. In that time I've been broken into 4 times. In every instance ADT handled the situation as well as I could have hoped for. One of the instances occurred when I was out of town for 2 weeks. And I was notified at my remote location (it required some "tracking"). And my local contact notified by ADT made emergency repairs that kept weather and animals out of my home until my return.
The last instance occurred in March of 2008, and on that occasion the burglar was apprehended by police due to prompt action by the ADT representative. I investigated to find out who the representative was, and was able to thank the representative in person over the telephone. The burglar was sent back to prison (they were on parole), with years added onto their sentence for breaking and entering and resisting arrest (the arresting officer and the burglar had quite a chase followed by a fight). I'd recommend ADT to anyone who is not in their home 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

After a year of ADT, I've been very pleased with ADT security, especially Pulse home automation. I've received quick responses to all inquiries via telephone. The Pulse system is exactly what it was advertised to be, i.e. a scalable portal to full home automation controlling lighting, cameras, doors, thermostats, etc.

Leaving one night from work, I noticed a car following behind and turning off and on their head lights to high beam. Unfortunately I drove to my home and they did too. I live in the hills of Devore, a very desolate and isolated area. I hurriedly entered my garage, where they proceeded to knock on my door and ring my door bell. I had 911 one line and ADT on the other. I was scared out of mind, for I leave alone. ADT quickly responded, sending the sheriff officer. The suspect were found at the corner where they were apprehended. I have been a customer for many, many years.

We have used ADT for years, in Glendale, Peoria, Surprise and Gilbert. The monitoring site has always been reliable. We have never had an issue with ADT. When we had a question regarding a piece of equipment, their support site is easy to make contact with and they are ready to help until the problem is solved. I have been a ADT customer for about 10 years and couldn't be happier. Every night or when away from home I rest assured someone is watching. ADT monitoring is 24/7. My system is a basic doors, windows and glass breakage. I asked the installer to install a smoke detector in the house and had a heat detector installed in my garage and another in the attic near the furnace. I get a discount from my homeowners insurance but would be a ADT customer even without the discount.

The motion in the outdoor kitchen is very sensitive. The wind was blowing and it was going off. I had to leave my system off. Even when I code it and press stay. The alarm goes off. I do not know what to do. Other than that we like our system. Thanks.

I have had a great feeling of being safe with ADT. I have had a few issues (my own experiences with setting of my ADT alarms) and the ADT representatives were so helpful and understanding. I have not really had to call ADT regarding my service except for 4 times. Each time I called I was greeted cordially and made to feel like I really counted. I am a very satisfied customer. With my ADT house alarm system, I feel very safe both when I am home and when I go out. The price is a good value and I'm content with everything. In the future I may expand to more options that are available, but for now I am going to just keep things the way they are. Never had any problems with the operation of the system. The service people sent to our residence have always been courteous, considerate of our property and good at explanations. It would be nice if quarterly we were informed that our system has been checked somehow and is working fine. We assume it is, but do not know for sure because we thought we had service for 3 more months than we really did in the beginning!

My niece had ADT and she would get $50 off of hers if some other people took it. She has little children, she's by herself off and on in the night because her husband has to work. So, I took it and I've been very pleased with it. At times when my alarm has gone off because it was still on and I've gone outside, they'll call and say everything's been canceled. They've been pleasant and courteous. I like security for the doors which has a motion sensor. The one holdback is there are others that are coming out that are more reasonable, and as I look and see the rating, they're rated very high. But I am happy with the ADT.

Not a long wait. Very knowledge help at ADT. Solved my problem quickly. ADT always does a wonderful job, I have very few problems. I highly recommend ADT. I like the fact that I can also use my phone to adjust the heat or cold in our house, and check to see if the alarm has been set. I'd like to see with ADT a device that tells you if your garage door is closed and your front door is locked, that would be great.

My indoor camera was not connecting to the network. The ADT agent attempted to fix the problem, but the camera will be replaced. The agent was very professional and courteous and tried the various methods to get the camera operational.

I am VERY happy with my new ADT home security system and I owe it to the great customer service I received. From sales to installation the service was very friendly and professional. I was impressed how knowledgeable and considerate my salesman, Sam, was to my specific needs. The system is great and I love that I can have live camera views, turn the system on and off, and answer the door all from my phone. My kids have no trouble using the system and we haven't had any issues getting Sam to help with follow up questions or add ons. No matter what time, day or issue - always resolved right away. I came in late one night and was very tired. I put in the code incorrectly. I did not recall what to do. I called ADT and the tech was very helpful. They told me what to do. I did what was told. The alarm system was reset and I could sleep without any worries.

Received indication on the alarm keypad that the CO detector was indicating a trouble signal. Called ADT and a service technician was scheduled for that very day. Technician notified me by email that he was on his way. Arrived, checked both CO detectors and found that they had "aged out" and needed to be replaced. Replaced both and was done in about an hour. Alarm was back to normal operation. Absolutely excellent service.

Recently I inquired about possibly getting a lower monitoring rate for my 89 year old Mother. She is 89 years old, lives alone since my Dad's passing in 2004 and is seeing signs of declining health. I wanted my internet source for ADT moved from one room to another room. The technicians were very professional and their workmanship is top notch. In no time they had it rewired and moved to the other room. It looks like it is part of the house now. They hid the wiring making this look great.

I called ADT for a replacement sign. Immediately the representative knew what I wanted and why the replacement was necessary. I explained to the representative that the paper delivery man had damaged my ADT sign and that I had call the Atlanta Journal Constitution and reported the action of the delivery man. The ADT representative was very professional and understood my problem and stated that an ADT sign would arrive at my home within the next few days.

My security unit was not connecting to ADT central. One of the operators set up a technician visit. He came when he was scheduled, checked my ADT devices, found the problem, replaced malfunctioning equipment. He was polite, informative, efficient, knowledgeable. Leaving the house one day, carrying packages I set the alarm and thought I closed the door behind me. It was very windy that day and when I closed the garage door and proceeded to go shopping. I didn't get too far when I was called that our alarm went off. I explained to the agent what I believe happened but drove back home and that's exactly what happened. I called back ADT to confirm my suspicions and thanked them for being concerned for our safety. I have had ADT for many years, here and a previous address. Though we have never needed the system in an actual emergency, I know how well the system works through testing and experience. The equipment is streamline and state-of-the-art. As a retired former employee of ADT, I've worked closely with installers as a salesman and learned to appreciate its effectiveness. The initial installer did not install the cameras correctly. The cameras came loose from the wall and I had to reinstall them myself. The pulse box constantly needs to be rebooted. The second installer that came out to install the wifi booster was extremely professional and customer service representatives are always helpful and courteous.

I have been a customer of ADT to secure and monitor my home since 1996. ADT installed the system which started out as the basic home monitoring system with a motion detector, a smoke alarm and 2 door contacts. I have since added motion detectors. But basic system has been reliable. And there is no better monitoring staff.

I feel safe and comfortable knowing ADT is on my side. I love how they send text, email, and calls you if alarm goes off. You know in seconds if an alarm goes off. Also they have cameras which is fantastic. I highly recommend ADT to anyone. Very professional.

We had a notification of breaking glass while out shopping. We expected a package delivery. At the appointed time for delivery the alarm was set off by a barking dog. Handled well; quickly and professionally. This is why I keep ADT - well done to all.

Anytime I have a question or a problem, I can call and get real help instantly. When one battery was worn out, they sent me new batteries for all of the devices to be sure things worked properly. The monthly payments are very expensive. I'm considering to close my account. When I start with ADT the monthly payments were low. Is there any way that you can low the monthly payments? Besides that I consider the service as excellent. Thanks.

For this reason, there is not very much wiggle room in your monthly rate without downgrading.
However, I do show that there was a rate increase imposed earlier this year. Please note that after the first year of services ADT does have the ability to assess a rate increase but never without notice. The customer always has the right to opt out of these.

We used an authorized ADT dealer. We received 2 exterior cameras, 11 sensors, 2 key FOBs, and 2 sirens for about $400. That's a fantastic deal. The installation went flawlessly and the technician was the best. He answered all questions and was very courteous. The peace of mind you get with this system is way worth the cost. The ADT pulse app is awesome. We can constantly monitor from anywhere. Everything looks great and we honestly couldn't be happier.
I do wish either the contract was 24 mos instead of 36, or that the monthly monitoring cost was a bit cheaper, but we did add options (cameras) so that's fine. After having this for over a month now, I couldn't imagine living without it. Thanks ADT! One thing we absolutely love is (since we get so many packages delivered) that you can set the cameras to notify you of movement, so when they detect movement they start recording for 30 sec. ADT response time is amazing too. Basically if your system is set off, ADT calls you within 5-10 sec and ensures everyone is safe (and there are many safeguards if that isn't the case). Definitely recommend!!!

ADT technician set up a Vista20 alarm system already installed in my house. He added ADT cellular monitoring and ADT Pulse equipment. All the ADT services are excellent, especially the ADT Pulse. The technician then tested everything. It has worked perfectly, no issues. I even tested it myself a month after the install, still works flawlessly. Love it!

I spoke to two people from ADT regarding the low battery reading. I was told I needed to get a new battery. I did that. After 48 hours, nothing. It turns out, my wall switch in the kitchen that the battery is connected to, needed to be reset. This the first thing customer service should tell you to check!

This is the first time in our lives we have had an alarm system, then again back in the 40's, 50's etc. People went to bed without locking doors. Sad to say humanity has advanced so far and so lucky in the lives we have but... we also have seen very bad things happen to good people and in the name of self preservation we accept what was is no more and have A.D.T. as our "home guardian". Made numerous attempts to cancel fraudulent contract. Company provided non-working fax number or fax number that played Island Music and then disconnected with no fax tone generated. Installer generated electronic signatures on the contract of an incapacitated individual who was not present during the installation. Manager Michael ** failed to call back. Other phone operator refused to connect me with a manager.

I got the ADT package which includes television, alarms, and thermostat which we would be able to control. The installation crew put them up for us. However, I can't see the camera feed on my cellphone more often than it should. It is inconsistency and is a pain in the neck. I've had people coming out, saying they've fixed it and even replaced one of the pieces of equipment, but the problem continues. It's just not worth the hassle.

So far I'm happy with the ADT service. The installation technician was courteous, did a thorough job. Cleaned up after the work was done. I would like someone from ADT to call and follow up with new customers though, so far no one has followed up yet.

The package that we have now with ADT is wireless. The company changed it over for us about a year ago, and it has remote arming and disarming. It works when the doors or the windows aren't locked. The installation team had good people who also explained how to operate the system. I've never had a problem with it, and it's always there when we need it.

I've been using ADT for about five years and I've never had any problem. I called them to ask if they could send someone out and put a whole new system in. The guy who came was very knowledgeable of what he was doing and he had suggestions that made sense. He went about his work very carefully, cleanly, and was through in two hours. I've got not only the security alarms but also a camera in my living room. I've also got something that's sitting on my desk that's got information on the inside with ADT and then another one on my counter in my kitchen. I'm very pleased and satisfied with it that I wouldn't change it at all.

I had talked to customer Loyalty to try to get comparable pricing and equipment after being with ADT for about 15 years with current home and another 5 with the house before. The Customer Loyalty department treated me well and set up a service call saying that they would add a motion sensor to my system along with the ability to control my alarm through my phone. Pretty simple request and very much in line with other companies offerings. I'm not trying to get extra stuff or special treatment. Just trying to stay with a company.
The installer came out to install the products however when the wife was going to show him the control area he broke out his computer and calculator then said that we weren't paying the proper monthly amount for the system and we also had to pay for additional equipment plus sign a two year contract. The current deal didn't make sense to him. She said that was not disclosed to her. The installer went out and called his manager. He came back in saying the same thing and arguing with the wife. He got on the phone with me and I made him leave. This is not the way that you would expect to be treated as someone that was being updated to KEEP business at ADT. I called customer loyalty back and they said that should not have happened. They sent a message to a supervisor or something for my area.
Got a message from them to return a call which turned out to be the installers supervisor that was telling me the same thing the installer said and argued with me about it. What is the point of setting up a compromise with the loyalty department if the local installers don't like the deal they just change it. From my point of view it looks like the company doesn't care about a long time customer. They want new contracts and $$$.
Called loyalty back and because after 5 hours I still hadn't heard from supervisor and they are now telling me that I shouldn't expect a quick response because they get a lot of email... 24 to 48 hours. That topped off a bad day. I don't know if this will help anyone researching different companies to make their purchase decision, however this is how I was treated after being a paying customer for almost 20 years. I will see what they come up with and update you. Right now I am not happy and the 1 person against change (my wife) just had the worst experience ever. So we might be changing if the experience/service continues to go the way it is going this week.

Have had the same issue multiple times over the past 3 years with my alarm system. ADT has been to my home 4 times in the past year to try and resolve the malfunction without success. The last visit occurred on 12/09/2016 - ADT sent their "top guy" and "if he can't fix it, no one can." He went through the entire system and said all was working fine but he would replace the patio door sensor again (4th time) "just in case." Alarm continues to malfunction and I have to bypass two areas to be able to set the rest of the system.
I scheduled yet another appointment for today at 5PM and no one showed up. When I called to inquire I was told they called me at 8:22AM to tell me they were on their way. I had no missed calls and no voicemail. When I asked why they would be coming in the morning when our appointment was set for 5PM the agent replied, "Appointments are set between 8-12 and 1-5." The agent informed me that I needed to contact my dealer if I am continuing to have problems. I will be canceling services with ADT.

I've always been greatly satisfied with ADT's services. I had ADT in my other house and when I moved I had the system which included a motion detector and the door sensors put in this house. It was an easy installation. The installers did what they had to do and that was that. And any of them that I dealt with were really nice. There's this one guy who came here a couple of times when a transformer blew and he replaced it. Another time when the sensor got loose on the door, he fixed that. I have recommended ADT.

I have a vacation home out of state and chose ADT for monitoring. I purchased their Pulse system with exterior cameras and the ability to open and close my garage doors. Worst system you could buy for a vacation home. If you lose electricity for any amount of time you have to reboot the ADT system. That is not possible on a vacation home and there is always some sort of electrical interruption every month or so in the mountains in Colorado. I found out that electrical is not the only thing that requires a reboot. When they update their system which they have done a couple of time recently the system also goes offline. The last time the ADT thermostat was in heating mode and lost internet connectivity, and the house was 98 degrees when it was 10 degrees outside.
When the system was first installed the cellular connection was nonexistent which I told the salesperson and installer several times. They came out to the house 7 times to try to fix the system. Then when I got cellular to the house the system still goes completely offline so I cannot view the cameras or the thermostat when the internet is interrupted. The internet comes right back on a few seconds later, but you have to be at the house to reboot the ADT system to be able to view the cameras and thermostat. When you only get up there every couple of months that doesn't work. I am tearing the system out this week and going to a Nest system. I spent over $2000 two years ago. What a waste!!!

We bought a house that had an ADT system in it and we continued the system. We've had several alarms and the staff was very helpful and patient with us. Sometimes, we’ll forget to take the little remote with us. We have to rush in quick after we open the door and set off the alarm and put in our code. I appreciate that they have a telephone call instead of a voice call that says that our alarm went off. So, it’s been very workable. When we called ADT with questions for clarification and training us, everyone’s always been very helpful. All in all, our experience with them has been good.

I have ADT's security system and their services is fine, so far. Their sales rep was a very nice young man. I think he took longer than he probably should have, because he was talking a lot, but it's just because he was very personable. Then the installer got it done. I would recommend ADT.

ADT works great for me. I've had them for 20 some years and I have switched to the wireless about a year ago so I can do from my phone. I love my new wireless system and that's the bananas because I can arm it and disarm it at any place. I used to have a keypad but not anymore and I do have window and door connectors and three motion sensors. I've called up ADT with questions on how to change something and they've been very helpful. I haven't had a serviceman any more than about three times in 20 years, but whenever they'd come, they've always fixed my problem or question. I had a battery out on my panel once that's in the front closet and then one time they came to install the wireless, remote system. They're always good, competent workers. I have no criticism at all, no negative things to say, and so I'm very satisfied.

Customer service did very good when I’ve had ADT come down and replace a sensor. We kept changing the battery on it. It kept telling me I had low battery. The installation of the new sensors was great and I’m very happy with ADT. I've set the alarm off a couple of times and then they were on the phone right away.

Our ADT system works and I'm happy with it. In about 10 years’ worth of time, we haven’t had any trouble. When I accidentally hit the panic button on the keychain, it became a good test because the police came before I could get back to the house and shut the alarm off. So, they move quickly when they see that happen. Also, we've had a break-in and when whoever broke into the house heard the alarm screaming, he hightailed back out of the house. We had one unit go bad but ADT came and fixed it. Everything was done quickly and coolly.

I have this company for 7 years. It never fails every time. I accidentally open the door or window the alarm goes off and unfortunately I do not set off fast enough. They call me to make sure I'm OK. We had ADT at our previous house in Sterling and we carried it over to our next home. It was installed in October 2007. So we've had them for a long time except for about three years when it was Brinks before they merged back since the mid-90s. Our service package has the regular security features which include the fire emergency and the police. We also have the window breakage but not the motion detection. We had some issues with the house when one of the sensors had gotten jarred to where it wasn't reading the door. But they sent a person out and fixed it in about 30 seconds. Overall, they provide quality service at a reasonable price. We've been quite happy with them and have actually recommended them.

The installation technician intentionally broke the existing hardwired ADT system at my house. Then he claimed he cannot make it to work and I have to use new wireless system. He then tried to sell me devices which I need to pay over $2,500. I denied it so I ended up with a system only covers part of the windows and have only one panel which basically is useless. This is the worst in house shopping experience I have. This company only wants to sell you devices and let you pay more. It doesn't care the security of your house at all!

The installer tried to upsell by asking me to sign a protection plan without explaining the cost. $3,006 more! The control panel. The security advisor/installer put the control panel in the back room office where you can't hear it or get to the unit in a time. He said it was the only place due to the phone line. This makes the alarm almost useless.
