We have been with ADT for more than 30 years, with all of the name changes. Never unhappy and always pleased with the service and response when necessary. We plan to continue with ADT and will gladly recommend the service to others.

Personnel are always available to speak to, whenever we call! If alarm sounds accidentally, they call to verify. Whenever we call, they verify our identity completely! We are very convinced that we have chosen the right company! We recommend ADT completely!

An ADT agent called within few seconds soon after the panic button was hit accidentally when the keychain fell on the floor. We are very impressed with ADT responsiveness and the agent thoroughly investigation. We have had similar response with false alarm but the panic is uttermost impressive.

Love ADT. Great product. Mpell people were rude. Hung up on me. The ADT advert says free gift card visa. 100 dollars. Salesman said that was what I would receive. I paid my 99 dollars thinking I get it back. Mpell sends me a letter on 7 April telling me I have to send 4.95 money order before my 30 days are up. Installation date Feb 16. Defenders eat poop. I told her I wanted to receive monies paid back for additional equipment ordered and to I'll stop payment on the account. She told me I could not do that. I ask if she would like to find out. I don't care about the money. I think ADT is a better company than Mpell or Defenders as their partners. I hate that I have to call people like that for service. 100 is 100 not 95.05 and a trip to get a money order free is free, that's lying on your advert. I love ADT and my system drop Defenders and Mpell. Rate ADT 5. Defenders 2. Mpell 0.

I have had ADT for years and upgraded to wireless approx 3 years ago. I feel very secure when at home and when I'm away. The wireless remote, the camera and online access features are awesome. I simply love being able to arm and disarm my system remotely. I have had several false alarms due to my own carelessness and ADT has been very prompt in notifying me. I highly recommend ADT.

I've been an ADT subscriber through USAA for over 20 years. They have always been responsive to my service needs and reasonable on costs to retain my membership. The system provides confidence that our home is protected while we are away. And I have personally observed and know their monitoring service works.

I have been very pleased with my association with ADT. When we set off the alarm by mistake the representative responds with a phone call immediately. I have no complaints. We have not had any breach of the system (thankfully) but I am sure response will be just as fast if not faster.

I had the alarm system put in 3 years ago, have no problems with the system. Have renewed my contract for another 5 years with them. Having an alarm system makes my family feel safe. Which makes me feel safe. I would highly recommend having an alarm system with ADT. They stand behind their work and if you have any kind of problem, they are all about making sure the customer is happy and safe with their product. Which we are.

Twice recently I accidentally hit the alarm when flap was down because it is close to my light switch. ADT called before I could get the alarm off. I was impressed and whoever I spoke to was understanding of the mistake. I now try to be sure and keep it closed.

We began our research for a security company almost 14 years ago. We looked for a company that offered both great security and customer service. ADT fulfilled and continues to fulfill those requirements. With technology evolving as it has, ADT have evolved with it. Over the years we have added additional security and couldn't be happier. I called to inquire about my account being double-charged for my monthly service. The representative handled my situation quickly and apologized for the error, while assuring me it would not happen again. He was professional, helpful, and assured me that my refund would be handled promptly.

The product is great, the installation was perfect. Could ask for any of that to be better but it cost $99 for the installation, and at that time they were running a promotion to receive a $100 gift card back if you mail some stuff in. Well it's been two months and I still haven't received that gift card yet.

I have been with ADT for quite a few years and can honestly say that the knowledge and consideration that was given to me in my time of need was second to none. Whether a door was opened while on alarm by accident or I needed a new battery at a certain window or door that started beeping, ADT had the answers. I have suggested to a few neighbors that ADT was excellent and provided the type of security that we needed in this changing world, unfortunately because of the changing times and violence we need to have our alarm systems on at all times even while at home. Although I live in a very quiet, gated community I still have my alarm system on while I work from home. I feel secure knowing that ADT is there for protection. Most of this community is protected by ADT as far as I could see. Thank you.

I've had ADT 2-3 months and so far the system has worked great. Recently we had an incident where one of the family members forgot to unarm the system and the alarm was activated. The police was immediately at the door asking if everything was ok.

The activation went pretty well. However, when I made the appointment, it wasn't made clear to me how long the install would take, so I thought the 2pm-4pm window would be fine for us to still leave at 5pm to get to our evening plans. The installer showed up at 4pm and moved as fast as he could - he was very accommodating. That didn't leave him enough time to really show us how to use the system, however, so we had a few lingering issues and problems. The technician I worked with on the phone a couple days later was great and resolved them.

My experience in transferring an existing service was smooth and efficient in equipment set up and support. Billing overlapped for two payments and required customer service contact to resolve. My experience with customer service was professional and the problem resolved immediately. I love the worry free and seamless protection.

This is the second BAD interaction/installation I have had from ADT. After receiving and reviewing the electronic contract I learned that I would not own the equipment I am paying to be installed in the home I do own. I tried several times prior to my appointment to get an alternate contract; by email then and third time by mail. My wife even rescheduled our appointment because we had not received the new contract. Your installation tech arrived without the full complement of the equipment to be installed and wanted me to sign the original contract. Needless to say I am disappointed in ADT's business practices, lack customer oriented communication, and the take your money and run approach to sales. I am now searching for a new security provider after 12 years and 3 homes with ADT!

My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with ADT. We seem to test the system every so often, accidentally, by forgetting to turn it off before we leave the house. We've no more than gotten in our car, then the people from ADT are calling us to make sure everything is alright. Once we didn't answer the phone fast enough, and the police had been called and were at our door. As embarrassing as that is, I don't think you can feel safer with any other security system or people.

A while back I had an issue with my system as I was turning it off in the morning. It couldn't connect and was continuously beeping. When I called for help, the woman I spoke to was very patient and helpful. I ended up needing to unplug the battery, which was a "task" as it was difficult to open the system due to the placement directly under my cabinets. She was able to talk me through the procedure, and then made sure that it truly was reading with the dispatch. My situation was taken care of efficiently, in a friendly manner and with great patience. Thank you!

Tech arrived an hour before appt. window and announced this with a personal phone call. He was friendly, proficient, knowledgeable and valued our time. There may be less expensive options out there, but the service from ADT has been worth any price difference. Best in the business as far as I can see.

Most reliable home security company. It makes you feel better, either away from home or at home, knowing that ADT is on the job. My neighbors had other companies that didn't provide the same level of service and care as ADT. They all switched to ADT based on my experiences with the company.

I accidentally hit the 'panic' button instead of the 'disarm' button on my keychain control. The result was an instant phone call to my landline, my cellphone and my computer. I explained to the very polite person who called that I'd made a mistake and thanked him for the prompt response. Had this been a real emergency I would have received help quickly. Thanks!

I have had nothing but excellent response from ADT representatives since my initial installation several years ago. The times I have accidentally caused the alarm to activate has ALWAYS been followed with either a recorded/actual person (as appropriate for the alarm) immediately. My local provider also provides excellent service.

ADT is a great service. There is room for improvement. I think the app should have Touch ID and the ability to arm and disarm from the app. Really like the installation process and technician that installed and explained the process. Very helpful and thorough.

We had almost a million without power from the winds about a month ago here in SE Michigan. Some for several days. We for about 2 1/2 days. ADT called and notified us they noticed our battery was low. I called a rep and she did advise us to get a new one, told us the kind.

My review is not going to be your average review. The reason for this is because I have had zero contact with ADT this year. My system works perfectly. I use the phone app and it works perfectly. In the beginning, I spoke with ADT a few times with false alarms while the kids were learning the system. But now, we don't talk to ADT. And that is a very good thing. It is nice to have a service provider that does their part, completely, and accurately. I've never had a problem with billing, equipment, or service. We don't have a need to call ADT. Everything is perfect. Silence is golden. Thank you ADT!

ADT has an outstanding reputation! When the need arose, it was not difficult to choose ADT. Numerous neighbors in my neighborhood are ADT customers already and that fact alone tell you something! While on vacation, our city security checked our front door and it opened and the alarm went off. Our neighbor said the police were there in minutes. The system worked exactly as expected. I was notified by ADT on my cellphone that the alarm was triggered. In my excitement to leave on vacation I went out the garage door and left the front door unlocked. My bad. Our neighbor had ADT security installed. Lesson learned.

I just canceled my account with ADT. I didn't have a bad experience, but I felt that ADT did not value my business, as I had not heard from them in the over two years that I had the service. I switched to a new company that gave me a much better system, including an outdoor camera and two-way radio communication (like an ONSTAR) for just a little more money. In San Jose, the police will not respond to an alarm, and without two-way speaking ability with the alarm company, I couldn't verify that I really needed police assistance. Had ADT known this and offered an upgraded system, I probably would not have switched. I appreciate the safety coverage they supplied for the time I had them, but I feel much safer now with my new system.

ADT alarm systems work extremely well, easy to use, and are very affordable. I appreciate the sense of security it gives me and my family. It's so easy to use. My daughter can come and go from the house without any difficulties. The quarterly billing is also a nice feature.

Couldn't be happier with the service and installation process. The entire installation process was smooth and professionally completed. All questions were answered before reactivating our alarm system. Even before I agreed to a two-year contact with ADT, an authorized technician came over to our home to inspect our existing system and answer all questions without any sales pressure whatsoever. Overall, it's been a great experience and now we feel safer knowing our residence is protected whenever we're not home.

I am not totally upset with ADT just a little upset on a few fronts. I have been trying to get page 1 of my contract, so I can get my Visa card, to no avail. Would be nice to get that. Also, had taken a while but supposed to get glass breaker fixed today. Have had for a little over a month but have had to change code on my phone 3 times, not once every two months.

Good company! I have never had any problems with them. Always there for us, and have never let us down. We love the abilities in our system when we are out of town, or just when we stay at home. Tech Bobby was great. He was on time, did excellent job, explained to me how to work all the cameras. The third keypad at front door. Oh I should have been had that. Bobby installed it just right. Hard to rate a service that just sits in the background and works. Seems to work well and calls/response has been good. It would be nice to have a second key fob. Seemed to be having a problem with 'panic' calls recently, but replacing the key fob battery seems to have fixed that.

I find the service and company to be good. I find most companies today (Ex - cellphone and cable) will do anything to get customers, via a cheap or free system, then when an existing customer wants more they have to pay high prices for upgrades that the new customer will get for free. Hence the loss of the older customer. Ex - I recently switched back to Comcast because Fios, after being with them for 5 years, would give any break on anything. They'll give away features for 2 years but older customers never seem to benefit.

ADT is always there for us; my wife feels safer when alone in the house. We do feel the price is high compared to their advertisements AND we do not have a wireless system or the remote access as advertised. The house is secure when we travel.

I know that you send emails every so often and tell me to test my system and sometimes I do it. I never hear back from you to let me know that everything is all right. I want someone from ADT to call or text me saying that my alarm test was done and that it was fine or not and let me know what to do, if it needed some kind of adjustment.

Recently, we switched to a Pulse system when we removed our land phone line. The conversion went great. The techs did a great job installing the new system and clearly explained its functions. Shortly after, a lightning strike fried our box and ADT was quick to respond fixing the issue. Great company and a fair price for services.

We accidentally set off our motion sensor. The alarm went off. About 30 seconds went by, ADT called my husband's cell phone which is NOT the primary number. He was asked if everything was ok, he said yes, he was NOT asked for a password. He hung up and then about 60 seconds later my cell phone rang, which IS the primary call number. We don't understand what happened.

I would like to know why I haven't received the decals I ordered in February and again on March 11, 2017? 1st time my alarm went off the lady was very nice and helpful. Second time lady was very rushed and wanted to get me off the phone. Told me to change the batteries. I asked how to do that and she told me to take off front panel at front door. I have a panel at back door and downstairs. I couldn't figure it out, so I haven't used my system.

I am VERY disappointed with ADT representative who installed my security system on 2/11/2017. I learned he no longer works for ADT and now he works for COMCAST. I ordered three outside cameras and one indoor cameras. This guy told me he was installing three outdoor cameras and one will remain inside. He also told me that there is no longer any difference between the outdoor cameras now. He set everything up and then told me that because of Washington, DC laws ADT must get the cameras approved for installing outside the home. Therefore, I waited from 2/11 until April (after I called someone from ADT on status) to be told that ADT no longer has outdoor cameras. I was also told that the ADT Representative who installed my security system LIED to me.
If I had known all of this... I would have NOT signed up with ADT. I would have done something different. I am VERY upset with ADT and how things were handled and how this guy just LIED to me and no one seems to care. Once I am done with this contract, I will not continue my services with ADT. If I locate a service that has outdoor cameras, I will most likely depart from ADT. I do not like to be lied.

My experience was good. I had a problem with the motion that motions were being detected when the alarm was armed and away on my Pulse. The agent was very nice that was assisting me and now I have a problem with my remote. Who handle that type of problem.

The remote control design is flawed and has caused two false alarms within three weeks. Once I pressed the away button and at the same time the silent alarm and the police came. The second time I have my keys in my pocket while I worked outside on my yard and the alarm went off without me pressing the button and the police came to my house - I was totally shocked that the Dallas Police were at my home. Total cost $200, I want to be reimbursed for the expense.

I have to praise your Customer Service for telling me I could replace the battery (the large one that is for the system) when I didn't think I could do it myself. It would have been a service call but I really didn't think I could do it myself. I wish I had taken the woman's name because she was so nice and said I could definitely do it myself and save a service call fee. She was absolutely right! Headed into retirement and tighter budget... monthly fees just keep rising. I called to discuss options but they really had none. So we are investigating other options. We are satisfied with ADT service but it's getting price.

I had my alarm system installed in 2001. It was under another company which went of out of base and their service was taken over by somebody else and then eventually, was taken over by ADT five years ago. I have the basic residential monitoring, one camera, indoor camera and three door sensors. After being broken into, I didn't feel secure and I didn't want to move either and so I wanted to take every precaution I could. I got the door repaired and reinforced so it's much more difficult for somebody to break in. I upgraded to a video alarm system and I have the camera installed so that I can have a record which the police had also recommended. ADT brought out a whole new system and they installed it. The technician knew what he was doing, tested it thoroughly and showed me how to work everything. Also, it's very easy dealing with their customer service people. They were very knowledgeable and helpful.
The security system came with a remote where I can disarm and arm it away. I can also monitor it by phone and by text if there's a problem through their mobile app which is very helpful. I can also view it on a computer. I simply put in my code number and view the indoor camera and see what's going on. In addition, the previous system would have a lot of false alarm and I have to leave work and drive 35 miles to get home and find out there was nothing wrong. With the new one, it worked when somebody actually tried to get into the shed. So the new system is much better. Overall, the service and equipment are very good and I'm very satisfied.

ADT has an offer campaign of a "free" $100 Visa card with new customers, etc. Once one is a customer, ADT charges the customer $99 for the "install" whether or not anything is "installed." The "free" $100 is a scam. But, this is the least of it. In order to qualify for the "free" card, one must have certain ADT documents which one may have trashed without realizing that they were needed. Secondly, administration of the Visa deal is MPELL Solutions which has its own standards that must be met. Their information which eventually comes with the card is incomplete.
I was led to believe that I could "register" the card by calling such and such number, but was told that is not right and given a different number. Then I had to wait for someone to "register" the card as promised by MPELL Solutions and the first call to the Visa card people. The person who was to register said he could only revise the address not register the card and that the card can only be registered online. Thoroughly unpleasant experience all around. ADT is no better at monitoring than my previous monitor but does charge more each month.

We had Brinks and then ADT took over them. It's nice that ADT didn't have to come out and do anything. They just took over everything that was here. Our keypad in the house even has Brinks still written on it. Everything's been fine since the switch.

I have only had ADT since January 2017 and can't wait to get rid of it. I am overcharged every single month. Bill is suppose to be $59.99 monthly, I end up paying $117+ a month. I guess I have a credit, which I am NEVER TOLD ABOUT. Defenders; the people who installed my alarm took a check that was never cashed and now they call me every single hour of the day between 8 am - 5 pm telling me I owe them money. I asked for a paper bill to be sent so I can begin to pay it since THEY SCREWED UP and I'm stuck paying for the incompetent employee's mistake & now I have to pay double for this service. I was told a bunch of lies when I called originally on price and installation costs. I wish I would have found another alarm company. Looking now, hoping to cancel service within the next month or so, as soon as I have another alarm company set up.

My parents have been loyal customers for years. When my father died she began to rent and inquired about a moveable system. She was sold on a wireless system she could move when she left the rental - she paid over 400 for installation and such - now they tell her that was not true and she would have to pay another 350+ and her "400" credit to relocate??? So she should just keep paying to install the systems with no benefit to her? And she has 13 months left on contract?? They lied and now she is liable for 500+ to cancel? Isn't this why they have been in trouble in CA? We expected to pay maybe 100 to relocate - Comparable to others? Agh!!

ADT continues to call my phone every day. I'll answer and the line disconnects and then they call again from another number and will transfer me to someone. By then I have been on hold and nothing gets resolved. I finally spoke to an agent and told her what is going on with the incessant phone calls. She tells me that on her end there is no record of the phone calls. I asked if she could please somehow take me off the call list. Her response was that she could take me off the phone list, but then if I had an emergency and my alarm went off that they would not call me! Absurd!
I have yet to receive the $100 gift card and it's been two months. I called and the agent said that she couldn't give me any information on where in the process it was currently located. I am amazed that agents even say the words, "I don't know how to do that". And the grand finale, I still use ADT because obviously I am in a two year contract, but I moved 4 months ago and transferred my services to this location. Just received a letter from a collection agency for ADT for over $1000!! I am paid up and have even paid a month in advance!! Be prepared to be put on hold for a very long time and then transferred numerous times before actually getting to speak to someone who might be able to help you.

ADT false information. Be aware! In February 2016, we received a call by ADT company saying that our house was selected among the houses of our sector to have a system ADT free with the condition to put the panel ADT in front of the house for 3 week AND No obligation to subscribe. The agent on the phone said that a representative will be sent to us to explain the approach if we are interested.
So she sent the representative who explained the cost to me etc. (very quickly). I said, "Okay. We will try and if we will not need it later we will just cut the service." In February this year. I changed phone house phone provider. Since my home phone and internet is connected to their alarm system, the service is no longer communicating with the central. So I don't have the service anymore and I am still paying each month.
Now if I want the service to be connected I have to pay another machine that will make the link between my phone the alarm system plus additional monthly fees. Plus the machine is old not even modern technology and expensive compared to other companies. That machine cost 1200 plus fees. I told them to send me an email with detailed fees two months ago and I had no answer since then. Be aware of ADT scam!

I moved and the previous owner of the house that we purchased had ADT. So, we went with the service. When we first moved in, it was a regular alarm system. The guy that came out and did the first installation did great and explained everything. But, we did an upgrade and it's scheduled for the 22nd. So far, their service has been great.

Have had acct w/ ADT since Feb. 2016. Many conversations w/ ADT staff later, month after month, I STILL do no receive a monthly bill, although I am told repeatedly by each person I speak with at the company to, "Be assured, I have personally corrected the problem and you will now receive notice each month of your upcoming bill..." or other similar words. I'm still waiting on monthly emails in hopes of saving trees, but otherwise, send me a bill!!!

My fiance asked me to set up an ADT account and everything was fine until I was out of town and he wanted to switch the billing card from my credit card to his. The property still has the same occupants. WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT the contract was cancelled in lieu of a simple billing update, and I had no idea until I received a Collection Letter from Defenders, Inc. for $508.26. We tried speaking to Defenders and ADT Corporate and they wouldn't correct the problem. We tried again to simply reinstate my account and they refuse to do so without a $100 account activation fee. I never deactivated my account! This is concerning to me not only because my pristine credit rating is being compromised, but this policy is scary because if someone wants to rob you, all they have to do is cancel your account and set up their own without any verification or authorization???

We've had the service since 2012 and it's been great until we decided to move and no longer needed their services. We had renewed our contract last year not knowing we would potentially move, and called ADT if we could cancel. I may have expected a small cancellation fee but would you call over $700 a small fee? We are not pleased with the options or lack of options we were given. We could not transfer over the service to a new home because we were moving in with relatives that already had their own security system.
Their suggestion was to add the cost into the price of our house that we were selling to pay it. What kind of suggestion is that? We haven't come to a resolution for this and I feel like we are put in a corner to pay this fee. I think it's ridiculous. I can't express enough my disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this Alarm company if you do plan to move at any point. When we do buy a newer home, I can't say that I will want to go back to them.

If you cancel the contract before the contract term is up, then early termination charges would apply. The ADT service is excellent and I love them! The installers came about 9:00 in the morning and they worked until around 4:00. They were nice and they went over everything with us. When we first got it, the kids from next door came over and without thinking, I opened the door and the alarm went off. It happened to me several times but the reps were very sweet when they called me. They didn't yell at me. They said, "That's okay. We understand." I told my husband, "One of these days, it will go off and they're not gonna call 'cause they'll think I'm doing this again." But no, when it goes off, they handle it beautifully. And we've never had anybody break in. So we're lucky.
I also have the ADT fall alert button. It kept going off until finally, the rep said to me, "Maybe you need to get a different button." She then told me to send the old one back and they sent me a new one. So overall, ADT was the best decision we could have made and I'm glad I believed in them. They're wonderful. And the price isn't all that bad, either. We have two bills from them: the one for the security and I have the one for my "fall alert", but it's nothing we can't afford, which is good.

I’ve been with ADT for many years now. I got the security monitoring where I can monitor through my phone. There was an incident when their technician was trying to put a window contact and he accidentally drilled through the roof in the corner. That room is not being used for a long time, and one day I saw water coming from outside through that hole when it rains. That was one bad incident I had and ADT never fixed it. I got a handyman fixed the hole. Then I had to add one more entry to the house, where I would set the alarm. They said they have to come here and it’s only 5 seconds, but they have to charge $85. They cannot do it by phone and only a technician can come and code program and they won’t let me do also. But overall, they are a good company to go with.

Do not sign up for ADT. Hands down the worst customer service ever! No service person shows up for a booked repair service and no phone call to tell us he/she was not coming! Wasted our time waiting for him/her. No one answers the customer service phone line after we called repeatedly to see where the service person was. However they promptly answer the sales line and told us they could do nothing for us and was told to call the customer service line again on Monday? So our store has no working alarm for the entire weekend and who knows if ADT will decide to answer the customer service line on Monday? Horrible company service. They have lost us as a customer and would not recommend them to anyone.

ADT have been around for years and when I was looking for a security system, they were the most prominent name that I recognized so I got their security system. When I've had some questions, their representatives answered them. And if I had a maintenance issue, they've responded. Other than a few malfunctions on the camera which they corrected, I'm quite satisfied with ADT.

I got a service package from ADT that included one window monitor, several things on the window and the front door, the garage door and the back door, and then a motion detector. The only thing that sometimes happens is if I start my car in the garage, especially in the winter, even though I have the garage door open, I’d back in and somehow it manages to set off the carbon monoxide sensor downstairs in the basement. But there isn’t anything that can be done about it. The sales reps have all been real helpful when I talk to them. Then the installation team had always been really nice. The last time they were out here is because I changed phone services and it took me three months to realize that it wasn’t even monitoring. It runs on Wi-Fi now. I’m very happy with their service.

At first I thought it was a good deal then I started using the it and soon after I realized how many holes were in the system so I upgraded to be what I believed to be completely protected, well I was wrong! And when you have to call then it just gets worse. They don't give a crap about making the customer happy. Long hold times and if you want to speak to supervisor, forget it! Never happens, just more holding in silence and then they say "sorry no one is available." Well, guess what? I have finally had enough charge. I'm done!!!

We live in the country and our son was telling us that we should get ADT. So, we looked at it and decided we want it. We called the people and they came out and talked to us. The installers were very nice and explained stuff to us that we didn’t know. And the service so far has been very good. Every time I make a mistake and hit something on the pad that I shouldn’t, they’re very nice to me. They also take their time when we have to call in if something goes wrong with it. The only trouble we had was they couldn’t figure out why the one in the garage would go off but they took them out and redid it for us. And we hadn’t had any trouble with it since. We love ADT. We travel a lot and go off on trips and it's nice to know that the house is taken care of. If anything goes down, they call us and then they’ll call my son and he takes care of it for us. Everybody should have ADT if they live out in the country like we do.

Terrible customer service and terrible pricing!!! ADT doesn't honor the USAA member pricing or having any consideration for active duty military members. We moved and had to take ADT with us. ADT raised our monthly price, quoted us free installation and equipment, but we ended up getting charged $500!!! The installation tech said he "had to charge us something" even though we were quoted for free equipment. When we call customer service they say there is nothing we can do to cancel or reduce cost except to remove some sensors. The ADT customer service NEVER follows up when they say they will and I get different information from the representatives every time I call. It's not right to deceive customers with their false advertising, empty promises, and forcing us to pay more because we're locked in a contract!

I have been with ADT for over 13 years and have had one contact with them in this time. That was to change the battery by myself. If the alarm, burglar or smoke goes off they never phone to inquire as to what is the matter. I am really not sure if they are worth the money and effort. Close neighbours would probably react at a much faster pace. They seem happy to receive my monthly payment for their fees but have never contacted or suggested upgrades or anything else. They marginally lowered my monthly rate only after I had to phone them and say I was offered a better price from another source. I suppose I am not too impressed. I will say one thing, however, they have nice pretty signs.

First off let me start by saying this is my experience and I have definitely learned from it. ADT Security is so awful. Please if you're thinking about going with ADT do yourself a favor and go with someone else. I'm not the type of person to blast a company like this but I feel like people need to know what's going on. I've read countless stories exactly the same as mine on their Facebook page. I'll start by telling you when I turned 18 I lost my father and was left all alone in this world. I did what I could to take care of myself but it was very hard. I had to move into a horrible apartment complex where people got robbed and even shot on a weekly basis. Naturally I needed a company to protect all of my deceased father's valuable items that he left me, and I ended up going with ADT. Boy did I screw up there.
I can't tell you how many reviews I've read that have the same story as me. They're a bunch of crooks that only care about money. I only needed ADT for a year until my lease was up and when they were explaining everything to me they made it seem as if I could stop services whenever I needed to. There's no way I would have ever agreed to a three-year contract with only a year lease. It's a very common thing you can see if you go read the reviews. They don't talk to you about your contract length and make it seem as if you could end it whenever you needed.
I work 10 hours a day 6 days a week to barely get by, I can't even start to tell you how hard I work for my money. It's really hard when you're all alone in this world and it's practically impossible to do it on your own. I struggle to even keep food in my fridge and some days I don't eat just so my dog can. This isn't a joke people this is real life and it's so hard with no family and no help. I'm appalled by ADT's tactics to scam people into a contract and just how they don't care about anything except getting their money. Nothing but crooks and when I buy my house (a year after my contract ends with ADT) I will absolutely make sure I give my business and hard earned money to a respectful company that actually deserves it.
Every dime I make goes to bills, food, and rent. I don't even have money for myself and it's very depressing. I can't even begin to explain how upset I am with this company and I will do anything I can to make sure anyone I know or come across doesn't get screwed by this company like I did. I won't slander their name but what I will do is share my experience with them exactly as it was. When I got in touch with them to ask why they would scam someone into a long contract like that, what they told me it isn't their problem and it's my fault for not reading the contract word for word. I would think the contract length would absolutely be a priority of things to talk about when they come to set your contract up. There's no way I would have ever signed a three-year contract in a one year lease. But apparently this is a very very very common thing for them to do to people.
What upsets me the most is I'm always struggling to keep food in my stomach and gas in my tank but all they care about is their money and the contract I signed. I will absolutely make sure end my contract on time and when I buy my house I will most certainly be going with another security service. Very unfortunate for them because my house will always be protected and that's money they screwed their self out of, practically handing my business to another company. I would have been a happy customer for the rest of my life if they knew how to handle their business the right way or even did something to correct this but they offered me no assistance and didn't care at all that I struggle to keep my dog and I fed.
I've even been having to sell my deceased father's items that have tremendous sentimental value that cannot be replaced just to get by. Every penny helps so much and they continue to take my money I desperately need for services I cannot even use. I'm desperately waiting the arrival of the end of this contract so I can never give them another dime. Very unfortunate for them for handing my business over to another company. It's a shame and I hope they don't do this to anyone else. I just wish they had done something to make it right. They lost my future business when they told me it was my fault for not reading all the huge contract they throw in my face. It really is a shame but I know I've learned from it. They're going to continue to run off potential lifelong customers, like myself, if they continue to do this to honest hard working people just trying to survive.

My experience with ADT has been fine. Their people came, put the system on and never came back again which is the way I like it. However, I've had the service for many years but nobody has ever bothered to come and tell me that there are's something new which are even less expensive. I've talked to my friends who had some other services with a lot more features yet pay less than me. I also want more features for free. If it's going to cost a lot, I don't want it.

My experience with ADT has been very positive. I was in an app working group with an ADT person. I knew him and trusted him so at the time it made sense to get the security system. I have accidentally set the alarm off on several occasions and we know for sure that there's gonna be a call. We don't even think about it anymore. When we hear the alarm go off mistakenly in the middle of the night, we go "Just keep the light on because they're gonna be calling us in a minute." and sure enough, it always happens. They're always courteous, too. Everything works fine and we're more than happy with the service.

DO NOT BUY VIDEO SYSTEM... WARNING. Had PULSE installed with 2 exterior cameras, and interior camera, and a RING doorbell camera. Needless to say, my vehicle was broken into and the camera did not record the event... why you might ask? Because after it records 30 seconds of video it takes 4 MINUTES... 4 MINUTES to reset the camera and to start recording again. This system is worthless. After being a customer for 10 years the loyalty program had the gall to offer me 50% off my bill for 4 months. Great... that replaces about 10% of what I lost.

I've been with ADT for about 30 years and it's been a very positive experience. I've been very pleased with them and nobody else has come up with anything better. Whenever I call about anything, it seems to be taken care of very quickly. Once, their tech came out and changed the pad up in my bedroom, and he was very pleasant. My sense of security being with ADT has been fine and I haven’t had any attempted break-ins. It's been very effective and every time anything happens, I get a call or I call them and everything is taken care of.

I’m pleased with the service I get from ADT. I’ve had them probably 10 years or more and had excellent service over the years. I feel very secure with the system. Also, everybody who comes here seemed to be very polite and professional. The installers were courteous and I speak very highly of the people who serviced me. I have motion detectors, things on my windows and doors, and two remotes. I had my systems checked but the issues were very minor.

I've always been happy with ADT and have gotten good customer service when I've needed it. Things seem to be working well. The sales rep was very accommodating and he explained things well. The crew that came in to install the system was informative and did a good job. I feel safe when I have the system on and it's been easy to use. It goes off when it needs to.
One of the features that I really appreciated was that I got an email from ADT saying that my battery was low. I didn't even know that it was low or that I needed to ever change it. Through their system, they could realize that my main battery was getting low and that it had gone beyond the normal changeover time. They were able to put it into a mode where I could change all the batteries without it alerting them that something was wrong. When I needed to change batteries, I was able to communicate by phone and they walked me through it. Between that and online, I was able to change the main batteries and also all the door batteries.

I learned to appreciate Ackerman more after trying another service (ADT). What a BIG MISTAKE. I do not know exactly why I changed. That is, except I was told by ADT they would treat me fairly and it would be worth it to make the change. After having the system for about four days, I decided I did not want it anymore (prices changed among other disappointments) and was told it was too late. I didn't want it because I found this was the wrong SECURITY service to trust. (Main reason) - I prefer my accounts paid on time. Since a few years have been added to my age, I have mostly automatic payments. Someone from ADT, (Didn't get the name from the not so nice person.) decided to get a large sum from my account without my permission. As I asked questions, I discovered she had gotten my credit score without my permission as well. There was a freeze, I thought, on my credit.
When I asked her how she managed to get the report, she answered very strongly "Because I am security". I asked how could I stop the service and was told by paying three years of service. It was too late now. I didn't, at the time have the service for a week. In the beginning, I was told the cost was 29.00 per month. It is now 49.99. Yes, it hurts. I have a very limited fixed income. Yes Ackerman was quite a bit less. I could pay them over two months with this amount. Very nice company who checked periodically on their service. There should be something done about ADT. I have had conversations with other consumers who feel the same. I know I have two services here. I feel there is a justifiable reason for both. One ADT, is so bad, I just had to mention it. ACKERMAN is so GREAT, it needs to be mentioned.

I have ADT for about 20 years now and I've only had some people out about twice all those years. I had some problem about a year ago and they came out within three days and fixed everything. I have the burglar alarm system and it's really good. And then, I got the ADT Pulse. It's one of the systems where you have a camera in your house and you can go through your cell phone and see what's going on while you're away. I use all the time and it works good.

Put me back, unexpected costs not told initially. However the alarm probably saved my uncle's life. He couldn't leave middle of night, confused and may have been robbed or lost in dark. We love the app on all cell telling when alarm is on or off.

ADT has served us for 20 years in two different homes. The equipment as functioned perfectly. We depend on ADT to keep us safe at home and at night. When we travel we know our home is safe from break ins, fire, and water. Soon we will be building a new home and we know that the only choice for our security system will be ADT. Every employee from the salesman, to the installer, to the person on the phone when I call with a question has been polite, professional, and knowledgeable. The online gateway to services and account is easy to use and understandable. Best company around! I highly recommend ADT.

ADT has some great home security options, but they don't disclose that a third party is who your contract is with. They also don't disclose ANYWHERE in my contract that you have to re-enter a new 3 year contract EVERY time you move. This is NOT good when you're a renter and tend to move a lot. I don't like contracts to begin with and it's actually rare that at any rental for up to 3 years because of rent increases and other factors. High pressure and misleading sales at time of installation. ADT and their third party contractors that are actually providing the service don't seem to communicate with each other. You can ONLY use ADT supplies with their services which are astronomically expensive. Had I known all of these details before getting a home security system, I would have shopped around! I trusted the ADT name though. I do, however, feel secure with the security system itself.

We were with Brink’s and then when ADT took over, we just went right along with them. ADT gives us excellent service. Their technicians' very efficient and pleasant and I've never talked to anyone there that wasn't as polite as they could be. Also, our sense of security with them is very high. Occasionally, when we have too much smoke in the kitchen, it sets the alarm off. They call us immediately to make sure everything is okay. And then once, we had just left the house and was a couple of blocks away, they called my cellphone and we turned around and came back and everything was okay. Another instance was when we weren't home and the alarm went off and they couldn’t reach us, they notified the police and they came out and checked it out to make sure everything was okay. We're very happy and we have been totally satisfied with ADT.

I called ADT several numbers but all representative hang up or transferred my call. We moved from Gurnee. We completed the relocation and had accessed number. On 9/3 9:00 pm, the man visited my house and introduced himself as ADT salesman. We believed ADT send the man for extended our agreement from Gurnee. He made a contract and told me I would be able to cancel his service anytime. Also, my husband reminded him about double check of previous contract cancellation. But, we've charged double for 7 months. I called several numbers of ADT. Many of representatives hang up phones, also screaming. Some representatives told me "ADT but TOTALLY DIFFERENT COMPANIES". It's not be the reason as the sales told me as he was from ADT.
But, I needed to call two companies. The first company accepted our cancellation by charging more 6 month $360 after we moved out the previous house. If the salesman talked me honestly as he worked for the different company, also he couldn't cancel for the previous contract, we didn't make a new contract. He deceived us and made a new contract for $318 for devices and $1943.64 (53.99/month).
We paid almost $100 monthly for 7months only for security. I called more than 20 representatives and many of them hang up the phone or transferred me to somebody. I talked the same things many times and tired out. Even if I asked them the business address, they can't answer it. Where is their office? Their evidence is just charging me. What is ADT. I called 877-842-0818 and asked the cancellation as this contract was broken by the sales. But representative strongly pushed me to pay more than $700 for cancellation. I didn't break any promises. We paid $318 at first and pay monthly. As the salesman didn't let us know the truth and we got a big damages. Then we are asked cancellation fee more than $700. This is not fair. I STRONGLY ASK THEM TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT BY NO CANCELLATION COST AS THIS DOUBLE CHARGE HAPPENED BY THEIR FAULT.

The customer service department makes promises that are NOT applied on the billing side. When I called to address, they shuffled me back and forth between the two departments being told "that doesn't fall under our responsibility" from customer service to billing and back. After one hour, ten minutes on the phone, I canceled. My neighborhood is safe, I'll take my chances. RESEARCH OTHER COMPANIES WITH SOUND COMMUNICATION BETWEEN BILLING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. It felt like I was dealing with Comcast.

We had ADT security package for quite a while and we're satisfied with it. Everything's fine and dandy, and we've had it upgraded once. The equipment works fine and it gives us the security to have an alarm at night.

I have been an ADT customer since 2004. We upgraded our security system two weeks ago. We added two outdoor cameras, one indoor camera, five more door/window sensors, one smoke detector, Ring doorbell, a digital control panel, and upgrade keypad. The installation technician didn't know what he was doing. He spent more than twelve hours to install the digital panel with keypad as well as the door/window sensors. He even called his coworker to come over to install the cameras for him. Eventually, one of the cameras was blocked by the outdoor flood light because he forgot the camera location where I wanted him to install. He wanted me to keep the camera location since it was too late to reinstall the camera. Also, he told me a big hole would be left in the wall if the camera moved to different location. Now the side camera can only cover less than 40% of the designated area.
The front door camera angle is too high and does not meet our expectations. The technician refused to re-adjust the angle because he had an errand to run after the installation. Now the front door camera cannot sense any unknown cars parked in front of my house as well as any people trespassers. I told him the Ring doorbell position was too low during the installation but he refused to adjust the Ring doorbell location. Now the Ring doorbell cannot capture the persons facial image at the front door. The function of the system is completely out of our expectations.
The technician spent more than one hour trying to sell me more devices instead of focusing on the installation. He wanted me to sign the paperwork quickly so that he could leave the place. He told me it wouldn't matter whether or not I sign the paperwork, even if I was dissatisfied of the outcome of the installation. We were very very very upset about his poor performance. I sent an email to his supervisor the next day but he selected to refuse responding to the complaint. I then sent another email to ADT's corporate office in East Coast. They also selected to refuse responding to the complaint. We want our money back and want to discontinue all services with ADT. We will not use them again since they are absolutely unprofessional. Don't use them.

August 2015, I signed contract with ADT for security services for my home. The representative told me that it would be a 2-year contract at $44.99 per month (wired security system in which most components were already in my home). Ridiculous rate, yeah but was busy and not thinking clearly. Then after reviewing contract I found that it was for 3 years! The representative also told me that I would have one free move, meaning that if I moved, I would not be charged to move my system. It turns out that, not only am I charged for moving, I have to purchase more equipment and extend my contract for three more years. The worst of it is that I have a security system at my present address, but is required to buy new from them (ADT) because I'm still under their contract. Someone please help. I hate to ruin my credit because of this swindling dishonest company. Anyway consumers BEWARE!

The referral incentive is a waste of time and the department who handles it is incompetent. I think it's a scam to get you to open up an account and contract with them. I have been running in circles to follow up on my referral check since July 2016 and they are still giving me the runaround. At the end of my contract I'm moving on and I will never refer them again if this is the disorganized shady way they handle business by not honoring promises to loyal customers.

The installation and service is superb; however, the individual who was supposed to be the recipient of $100 rebate check for his referring me to ADT never received the check. My service was installed in October 2016. In addition, I was told I could get a free month from the Loyalty Department because of this.

ADT Service has not been functioning properly for about 6 months. A technician came to "fix" the problem but issues persisted. The Alarm would go off on its own for no reason, all hours of the day and night, and go off when it shouldn't. It then went off and wouldn't turn off regardless if I unplugged the machines and attempted to log in online to turn it off. I contacted ADT to schedule another technician service and requested they turn off alarm. The tech was scheduled to come out later that day.
The agent disarmed the alarm and as soon as I hung up the phone the alarm went off on its own again. And again I couldn't turn it off no matter what I did. The police even came to the home. It was 5 am. I then took a hammer to both machines as this was the only way I knew of to disarm them. I immediately called ADT and was told I would now be charged for a technician and new equipment. At which point I canceled the service. Now, I receive a $700 bill for the remainder of a contract. How could a company charge you for a service that does not work, and when you cancel, you are charged? Sounds like highway robbery to me. From my research, there was a class action lawsuit against ADT in California not too long ago for this sort of business practice. DO NOT USE ADT!

My experience with purchasing and getting my alarm system installed was punctuated with multiple false promises, including a verbal promise from 2 agents that I could cancel my contract within 6 months, promises for additional devices, and a hidden fee and process for getting the $100 gift card. This was a local installer Protect Your Home of Kansas City. Frankly the only good reviews I can find about ADT are about the corporation. Most reviews of the franchises, if that's what they are, are terrible. Considering ADT's excellent reputation, I foolishly believed what I was told.
I responded to a mailer offering $100 gift card refund for my installation. I was promised 2 motion detector devices on the phone but only received 1. Victor assured me multiple times verbally that, even though it wasn't in the contract, I had 6 months to cancel it. Considering that ADT is a well regarded company, I assumed he could be trusted.
The installation person, promised I'd get support from him via personal text for 2 weeks after the installation, but couldn't get him to fulfill multiple promises to come fix my system. My home was unsecured for 5 days while he tried to get someone to fix it, but I paid full price. He also took down the wrong numbers, which resulted in a police call for a faulty window alarm. 4. The $100 gift card they promised required me to print out and send a $4.95 S&H fee, so the actual amount of the card $95.05 less postage and cost of the money order. 5. I called the 800-689-9554 number attempt to cancel my account, but was told repeatedly that despite what I was told repeatedly, they would hold me to the 36 month contract. At every step of the way I was promised things just to get my business that turned out later to be not entirely honest. It's a shame that a company with such a stellar reputation would tell a series of half truths and outright lies just to get my business.

ADT's sales reps were good in explaining things. I got their fire alarm, sensors, as well as the smoke and motion detectors that go with the windows and everything that I have. The installers also added the phone to the new system, and it's up-to-date, so far. The only problem that I had was with the batteries that go with the system and the sensors. The battery doesn't go out frequently, but it's been there for a long time that it's had its toll.

The guy who convinced me to get ADT was extremely nice. He was a good salesman, and everything he said happened. Even the people who came over to install the system were extra nice. They were all wonderful. But I was disappointed a couple of months ago because somebody tried to open the window and the alarm went on. It was on for about 15 minutes before we tried to get back and check. We turned it off, but nobody even bothered to call us. Next time I’m disappointed, I’m gonna take it out and get somebody else. I have the alarm because I want to feel secure. But if ADT doesn’t call me, then what’s the use having the alarm? Other than that, I like it. It’s working with the basement, and I’m satisfied. I will recommend them. As a matter of fact, I’m trying to convince my sister-in-law to get it. She lives next door to me and I think she’s gonna do it. But they have to be a little bit more up to it.

We used to be with ADT. No prior complaints. Changed to AT&T Digital Life for the upgrades. We got a letter from ADT, asking us to return, offering a great price - $19.99 for the first 12 months and $36.99 after that. I knew it was a three year contract and had no problem with that. I spoke to Jason at ADT. (I think that was his name). He told me there was a $99 installation but we got a $100 Visa to offset that. We would also get a $200+ Visa to offset the difference between the $19.99 and $36.99 for the first twelve months since they would charge us the $36.99 each month. We set up the installation.
Dustin came in to install the system. He told us the $36.99 was for a landline system (which we have) but it was better to have Pulse, which would be cellular and would give us access to everything on our phones. That was going to be $52.99. But it was cellular and was still a little cheaper than AT&T, so we bit the bullet. And then he showed us all the upgrades he had available. That would be an additional $4900+ but we could get it all for $2100+. This shocked us. While talking to Jason, he knew our system was compatible with ADT because we had been with them before. But our current system was installed before we bought the house in 1992 and has had a couple upgrades. We eliminated 75% of the suggestions and added some much needed upgrades, biting the bullet again. But we are happy with our security system as it is now and know the upgrades are important.
Today, I opened all the documents that were sent on the day of the install. Of course, we are too late to cancel the contract, which gave the standard three day termination clause. Today I found out we have to send $4.95 to a 3rd party company to get the $100.00 Visa card. That is not on the letter enticing us back and that was not disclosed by Jason. So, I called ADT customer service. That's when I told the lady about not being told about that extra fee and being a bit surprised. I was more surprised when I was told that since we went with Pulse, we would not get the $200+ Visa card because that was an offer only for the landline offer and going with Pulse vacated that offer. So, in short, we were not told the following:
We had to pay to get the $100 Visa card until after the installation and after getting the documents mailed after the installation. We were not told the $36.99 was limited to the land line and we would have to pay $52.99 for the cellular protection and phone app until the installer came out. The letter does say Pulse is available. We were not told during scheduling we would need to upgrade our system and in fact we were told we would not need any upgrades to make the switch. The installer was very good and trustworthy but we were not expecting to be asked to buy $4900 worth of new equipment. We are happy with what we had upgraded. We were not told that by upgrading to Pulse we would lose the $200+ Visa and in order to get that we will have to have another appointment with the installer to downgrade the system, potentially making us less safe.
The new equipment we put in will work when we downgrade our system and it will move with us if we move so we were not mislead there. The installer told us that when they install systems, they keep the same installer going to the same home for continuity. ADT customer service told us they cannot do that. I have contacted the installer. As a third party installer contracted solely to ADT, his company keeps the same installer so he did not mislead us but ADT was unaware of that.
I know ADT is a good company but the scheduler flat out mislead or failed to be honest about the offer, the extra costs associated with the offer, the fact that upgrading our system would make us lose the offer and customer service did not care. I told the lady with customer service that whoever monitors that phone call needed to listen and fix a lot about what the schedulers tell people versus what the installers tell people versus what customer service then tells customers who are already entrapped. I doubt I will have any problem with the ultimate product, but I am past disappointed in how ADT conducted their business just to get back a former customer.

I was ADT customer for 12 years. Moved to a new house last summer and was informed by ADT that there was no more debt in my equipment. All their calls are recorded and they can easily access their calls. Few months later received a bill of > $700 related to the financing of the equipment. Called again and was informed multiple times that there was no debt left in my account. Past due bills kept coming until the ADT representative informed me that I had to transfer the account and equipment to the new owner, which I did and ADT confirmed that transferred was processed and there was no debt left for me.
I kept receiving past due letters and ADT sent my name to a collection agency named Apelles. This has been going on for more than 8 months now and I can't pay what I don't owe and ADT can't get things organized. I sincerely don't know what else I can do. They call my home daily leaving collection messages, I have asked then to suspend the calls every time I call them and they confirm to me that there is no debt left in my account. Don't know what to do anymore. I'm trying to post this review here to see if I can get attention from the right people in the company. It is awful!

ADT is a good system. I've got it on my door wall, five windows, garage door and front door. Also, I've got a motion sensor in the living room. However, about a year after the rep had put the sensors on the door wall, one of them was not working so they had to come out and change it. They were able to schedule somebody out within a day or so and it's been fine ever since.

I had a security system since the 80's. ADT took over the previous security system in the 90's. I have upgrade several times. If I have any problems they are very responsive. More importantly they truly monitored your home.

We had a battery fail in one of the window units only after 13 months of original installation. Battery was replaced. While the excellent service technician was present, we had him install one additional window security unit, and instruct us on how to replace future failures. An outstanding job by ADT's service.

I had an alarm situation at 1:30 am that woke me out of a sleep. I immediately got up and reset my alarm and checked my doors and windows. ADT immediately called me to notify me that the correct code had been entered and the police would not be called. I appreciate the prompt service and call to let me know that I was been monitored.

When we moved in here years ago and I was looking around for security, I called several companies and chose ADT because of their price and what we got for the price. Now the price has gone up a bit every month and we are seniors. I called them a year ago and they did take a little bit of money off but it seems like we're paying what the new customers are paying though they get a lot more deals.
We've had the system for a lot of years and about a month ago, my granddaughter put the alarm on and didn't lock the doors and when someone came by and opened the door and left, the alarm went off. ADT called my husband and he told them not to call the police but ADT did for the police came by so we got charged $20. But that's okay. I would recommend them.

Due to a divorce and a child entering college, I am experiencing financial difficulty. I called to cancel my service or at least put it on hold for a short time, but instead the customer service rep assisted me in lowering my bill. Wonderful experience!

Had new windows installed. All sensors removed. Got a lot of advice and technician came out to help me re-install them. Quick and very helpful! Not the first time I've needed some help and always get people who know what they are doing.

We are very happy with our ADT service, though I would like to know why our monthly charge has gone up again. We have not received any notices on the increases telling us why. Would it be possible to send an email detailing the increases? Thanks.

Every time I call it always get the answers I need. Never put on hold for a long time. Thank you for great customer service.. I never have problems with the service. I leave my home knowing it's safe too.. I sleep better as well that I can hear if anything is going on in the house.

I am good with ADT. I have had their service since 2001 when I had a break-in and one of my friends suggested that I call ADT. So I did and 1 guy came in and installed something in my hallway. And then he installed my keypad on the wall and then put the sensors on the doors. I also got 2 monitors - 1 in the living room and another in the bedroom.
I upgraded the system recently and their service is great. The price is good and I've had no problems with them. If I call they answer my questions. They are very professional, very nice, and very knowledgeable. When my power went off from 11:00 one night until about noon the next day, my system was saying "low battery, low battery" and I did not know what that meant. So I called and they told me not to worry about it. When the electricity is off, it will run on a battery. However, I have a remote on my keychain but it's not activated. I had called and someone from ADT told me they had activated it but it still doesn't work so I will call them again.

I has issues with setting the Siren Alarm to INSTANT Sound... MyCode #(4) and MyCode #(7) on the KeyPad... Also the ID of my MotionSensors... They needed to be renamed due to change of locations... Service Tech was very helpful and pleasant.

I honestly cannot say one negative thing about ADT Services with me. In the past, their service has been excellent as I expected it to be when I subscribed. A few times I inadvertently set off the alarm and immediately received a call from a representative.

I am pleased with ADT home protection. I have experienced a quick response when the alarm system in my home is activated, which makes me feel safe and secure. The only thing that I would like to be different, is that if you were given some sort of a discount for having full coverage for your home. I would recommend ADT to friends and family.

I had another alarm company but they went out. Then I got another company which got ADT. So my house is hardwired throughout. ADT has been monitoring my system and their service has been great. I've had a few incidents where I had tripped my alarm off. In the past, other companies would go ahead and call the authorities and send them right away, but ADT calls me first before they send them, which I like. It's been a pleasant experience with ADT. Everyone I talk seem to know what they're doing. They're nice.
Jerry, false alarms happen everyday, that is why we always contact you immediately first, then contact the authorities. We have had ADT as our security system for the past five years. Prior to having this system the two of us were always reluctant to leave our house for any prolong period of time. Since installing our worries have been resolved. Twice since the installation our alarm was tripped by my once forgetting to shut it off and the other by pushing the wrong button on the fob. The response time by ADT and the police was truly impressive. We no longer worry about leaving home. We currently are in the process of planning an expansion of our home and will have ADT upgrade our security.

I wasn't sure if I should contact ADT before replacing batteries. I was informed that I should go onto the website and perform the test. I was emailed a description of what to do in the future. I was also provided the battery size.

I had a small fire, the smoke alarm sounded. Never received a call from ADT or fire department. Told someone would call in 24 hrs to check the system. I am still waiting for a call. Out of town alerted about a window being open. Never received a call not sure if police were dispatched. Not happy with the service at all. Paid all this money and not reliable.

Before I moved in our house where I live alone, I had some repair work being done. The guys were storing their stuff in the garage overnight. Somebody broke in, took some of their tools and then went into the house and took my son's printer. So I got ADT's package with many window alarms, four door alarms including the garage overhead, smoke detectors in the house and the garage, first and second floor, a motion detector in the living room and a window breakage detector in the glass and back porch.
I've been here for 11 and a half years now and I have never needed real help. But every time the alarm was accidentally set off, they call and try to reach me and for some reason or another, I don't answer the phone. The first time I wasn't even here. My granddaughter left the front window unlocked, so she could climb in if I wasn't home when she came here from school. Her father was supposed to meet her here. He has to click the code to the alarm. She opened the front window, climbed in and before I got home, the police were here.
I was three blocks away at the post office. My son was not here yet because he was at the supermarket picking up stuff for her snack. They reached me on my cellphone and I came tearing down there and the police were walking up to the front door. Nobody was home but the window was wide open. I knew instantly what had happened. I said, "She's around somewhere." When she saw me, she came out into the house next door looking very sheepish.
Sometimes ADT would call me because my batteries are beginning to die. They call me up to say, "We're getting a trouble alarm." I have heard the alarm though it doesn't sound like an alarm on the panel. It sounds like a brief burp. I'm 75 years old and I had to get some magnifying glass out to see it. I should get another panel instead, but it still works. Since ADT bought Brinks, they haven’t had the need to come out and fix anything. We’ve been able to handle everything by phone. It's a matter of going to the store and buy the right size battery and install it. At one point, they thought they might have to come out and repair it because we couldn't get something solved but then it solved itself from something they did from the office. I am satisfied with the service and I have also recommended them to several friends.

Alarm went off during a storm. No action was necessary. Didn't have to talk to anyone from ADT. When needed, the representative has always been helpful. Alarm always goes off if we have a lot of loud thunder & lightning.

So we've had our system for almost a year now, and this month have had two false alarms from the motion sensor when we are not at home within the same week. No doors or windows were tripped. We called off the first one, and called back on the second one to have them call off the police in the nick of time. Our sensor was clearly faulty. We scheduled a four hour appointment window for about two weeks out, and when it finally comes, we get one hell of a run-around.
The technician comes over, asks if we have cats, and we say we have two. "Yeah, that's why it's getting set off." We asked the salesman if cats were an issue a year ago, and he assured us that it was motion and heat activated and nothing under 50 pounds would set it off. We've had the system for a year without the cats setting it off. Technician says cats jump up on the furniture and look bigger than they are to the motion sensor. We were told it was heat AND motion, and we have had no problem with this sensor for almost a year. We have network cameras, and frequently see the cats on the furniture when we are not at home without the alarm causing problems.
He says to either bypass the motion sensor for short trips, or just lock our two cats in our 36 square foot bathroom with a litter box and food while we leave on extended vacations. So the technician goes, presses a bunch of buttons, purposefully sets off the alarm (for some unknown reason, seeing as he has apparently already diagnosed the issue,) and knocks our brand new, $300 video game console to the ground, (adding a few new scratches to the touch-screen,) before saying he's done, and running out.
I call technical support to see if there is a way that we can knock this piece off of our price if it's not getting fixed and we're not going to use it. She says just to use the bypass mode, and that apparently we cannot rid ourselves of the motion sensor and reduce the monthly cost because we paid for that in the initial setup payments. You know- when the installer lied about the motion sensor. The same installer that knocked eight holes in our wall before deciding on a spot for the panel. The same one that claimed the job was done before I tested the windows, (a few didn't close properly,) and told him it wasn't.
Installer: Commission-hungry, dishonest, and unskilled. Technician: Clumsy, blame-shifting, and dedicated to doing the absolute minimum work required in any situation. Support Center: Unapologetic, unsympathetic, and unwilling to work to resolve any issues with customer relations. Someone here is lying about something. Either the installer who sold us a motion sensor saying the cats wouldn't be an issue, or the call center and technician who say the cats are the issue when they haven't been for almost a year.
I don't feel the need to call out the individuals as I'm sure my account is well documented, and this is potentially a problem with how management trains or oversees things. Regardless the entire experience with ADT will have me recommending a competitor, (any competitor,) to anyone who asks. Do not let ADT in to your home. They don't fix the issues they come to fix initially, set off the alarm to make it look like they did something, and cause needless property damage. Whether installer or technician, I advise you to keep any valuables out of reach and keep an eye on them while they work.

We've been with ADT for close to twenty years and are extremely pleased with the service. The response time is very quick. Agents are friendly, courteous and helpful. Several alarm companies have tried to woo us away from you guys, but we are brand-loyal. We highly recommend ADT.

I called to see if my system was working correctly as it had been off for a while for construction. The young lady walked me through the buttons on the system. Helped me correct some things and soon it was back on track. Being elderly, I was slow and she was so patient and gentle with me, that I felt like I had a guardian angel helping me. My patient helper. I felt very blessed.

ADT -- customer service, on-site and tech support over the phone have been exceptional. Always very thorough, professional and knowledgeable with my home Pulse system. Whenever I have an update I would like to investigate or make to my current system and needs, I have received quick, accurate and professional advice with no sales pitch or purchase pressure. I have been a customer of ADT since 2013. Never had an issue with the service. However, when I moved and wanted to relocate my service to a new address the experience has been just a nightmare. I sold my place and moved into a rental. Not knowing exactly what the house had set up as security, my original order included a wireless windows/doors line item for $240.00. I paid $100.00 deposit toward the install and at worst I would have to pay an additional $272.00, after their "$559" credit applied toward equipment.
Day of install, the tech came out on time, evaluated the current system. Come to find out the house was fully hard wired, every ext. door and all windows had sensors. The only thing was there were two key pads in the house. The tech said I needed to replace them both and I had only order one. So, he removed the wireless windows/doors line item for $240.00, and added a single item for the additional keypad. He spent about 6 hours here at the house for both install and adjusting these items. He called several people to get assistance and finally he worked it out. What came of it was I did not own anything after install and that I had a credit of $73.24. I saw it on his computer. He said that I would not have to pay anything for my March service invoice and I would have $11.19 credit towards my April invoice.
Well...I received my March bill and it stated I owe $317.11. 2/28 I call and spoke with billing (Betsy) and she had attitude with me, stating that this is what is due and everything has been adjusted. I am thinking how that can be...the numbers do not line up. Then I called my original representative (Randy) and explained the situation. He understood and stated that the Tech's adjustments had not been updated into the system. He would reach out the Tech's manager and have that corrected. He told me that I did not need to worry about paying this amount that he would call me back to give me an update.
I gave it sometime and I decided since I never heard back from Randy (2 wks) I would call the main number to check my balance. 3/16 The system stated that I did not have anything due and that I had a credit of $11.19. Wow I am thinking Randy got it all corrected to reflect what I saw after the Tech made the necessary adjustments. BOY I WAS WRONG. Today 3/18 my bank informs me that ADT has debited from my account for $251.44, yes folks...can you believe that...?
Needless to say, I called the billing area...and spoke with Tiffany. She pulled the account and we just could never get on the same page. I was told that all the credits were applied and this is the correct amount that was due to them. I said "what does this make up?" She gives me a breakdown of the monthly fee $62.05 and $189.39 from install that I owed. She also touched on another amount that I was charged but it was not disclosed to me, was an Acceleration Billing amount of $116.53. This represents breaking my 3 yr contract with only 5 months left. Randy had told me that they waive that charge to their existing customers that going into a new 3 yr contract. I should have never been charged this amount in the first place! They have provided a little credit back on it per Tiffany of $34.30 ($116.53-($34.30) = $82.23). Tiffany had provided another credit today for an over billing of monthly charge, which is good, but not part of this math.
I know what I saw the day the tech was here and all I ask is that I get charged the correct amount for the key pad, deduct the $240.00, not using creative accounting. I do not have a problem paying my monthly fee, but that even went up without my knowledge. Pursuant to the website and their Relocation Movers offer with ADT Pulse, I should have the $559 credit, plus monthly charge of $47.99. I need to be credited back this Acceleration Billing amount of $82.23, plus $240.00 and charged for the key pad, adjustment credit of tax as well.
Monthly fee should be $47.99 for my service. This all needs to be corrected and my money returned back into my account. This is not what I signed up for over the phone and I HAD to sign the electronic contract on 1/31 before I even knew what I had in the house (moved 2.18). This isn't the way to do business and I'm very disappointed with how this matter has thus been handled. I hope that ADT makes good or I will take my business elsewhere. This has been undue stress and I should also be compensated for that as well.

I like ADT. Now I feel better with this security system. I didn't like that the person I spoke to about the system. Didn't give the tech my cellphone number so I could let him in. Instead, the tech went to the office. I was trying to catch the person that was coming in my apartment with a key that I didn't give them nor permission. The other thing the salesperson explain all of the costs.
