I'm happy with ADT. My house has the alarm, as well as fire and police call. Also, some years ago, I upgraded and I got new screens on my windows and I got these little chips that you use to swipe past the control boxes. The fellow who came was very nice and it was great. I'm perfectly content with what I've got and I haven’t had any problems.

ADT has been very good and satisfactory. I got every feature in my service package. A repairman came and fixed an issue and everything is ok now. We’ve been very pleased that if an alarm goes off, they call immediately. The people at ADT and the installation team were ok as well.

ADT came standard with the house that I bought and the package included sensors and monitoring. The people in service and monitoring have been great. ADT has been competent, professional, and prompt. They've given me continued excellent service. I'm extremely satisfied.

Finding a failing sensor that was triggering repeated sounding of the burglar alarm at 1:00 a.m. was a challenging experience, but Regina (in Rochester NY) patiently walked me through multiple steps needed to stop the alarm. She remained on the phone until 3:30 a.m. when we finally identified the offending sensor and secured the system. Ray, the technician who came on Monday morning, was just as patient and professional. He relabeled the chart of zones, added a glass-break sensor, and made certain that the system was working. Both employees were an excellent example of the kind of service that will keep me as an ADT client in the years to come.

I signed up over the phone and my bill was supposed to be $28. The representative asked me if I had a home phone line but never told me my bill was going to be over $50 since I didn't have one. After the installation process, I found out how much more my bill was. When I contacted ADT, they refused to do anything about it. I was also supposed to get a $100 gift card from Wal-Mart for signing up. All the information I was given was incorrect - myadtrebate.com & this number 800-220-3417. I finally found the correct information and had to call a company called Intel Solutions who said they had mailed out my rebate form, to an incorrect address. When I asked her to resent it, now the promotion has expired. Nothing this company has done has been up to my satisfaction.

We have been with ADT for over 10 years and have been reasonably happy until recently when we have been having problems with our system. We are paying for a premium service and are very disappointment with the service. We recently had a routine inspection and just found out that our line has not been connected to the police service for over 6 months and no one has notified us. The engineer said we needed to schedule another appointment to check the line as his shift was already finishing. So we did not have a working alarm when he left. We called to schedule an engineer and they came and sorted the line as it was a loose wire. Then after a few days we got an invoice for £220 for the work they did. What! We pay a premium service and this is what we get - over 6 months of a nonworking alarm which we paid for and a faulty wire with their equipment and we have to pay extra! What kind of service is this?

We love ADT Pulse. After Hurricane Irma, we were able to log in and see whether our power/internet had returned. This is a great service. We changed our thermostat to lower the A/C since we had been away and set it high to save electricity.

Can't say enough good things about the technical expertise that the local technician Joel gives to the clients of ADT. He has been very helpful, arrives timely and is very courteous. We have been with ADT for over 20 years. We will stay with ADT.

ADT secret digital life is quite good but I not sure it is the way we should go. I don't think that we got enough security outlets coverage in our house for what they charge.

Our ADT system includes the digital keypads which were already in the house when we moved in 15 years ago, and we also have motion sensors. When we screw up and the alarm goes off, we tell them that everything is okay, then they would ask for the password and everything will be fine. If the system wasn’t working right or they do not do their job then we’d get something else, but it's doing what it’s supposed to do so far. And, the service we're receiving from ADT has been fine.

We were having a rush of problems in our neighborhood and an ADT person came and spoke to us. I had a professional experience with their sales rep. Also, we had no issues during installation and the installer answered all our questions. He was in and out quickly and did a very professional job. The alarm service itself is excellent and it's easy to understand. We use it every day and we're completely satisfied. I've recommended ADT to my friends and they've already employed them.

Helpful in making appointment to fix. Called to confirm appt. Polite and knowledgeable. Reviewed possible causes of outage. I bought new battery but system still not working. Last battery put in in 2013. Have not had previous problem. System is efficient.

My system originated with Brinks, and ADT assumed it as a legacy system. The upstairs hall monitor gave three false alarms within a 48 hour period while I was away, and the police were called for the first one. The ADT tech who responded was superb, replaced it and improved the positioning. No charge.

We set our alarm on every night, turn it off every morning. We have the basic features like the interior motion detector and yard sign. We also have the security cameras so we’re safe with what we have so far.

We had ADT when we lived in Oregon and I’m very satisfied with the service. We have all the features including the motion sensors and we have the fire and security in case somebody tries to open the door or the windows. The sales rep was fine. The installers were knowledgeable and answered any questions that I had to my satisfaction. I think ADT is the best security alarm system and monitoring that you can purchase. I don't have any problems and I feel secure. We also have a home on the West Coast still and we still have ADT on that one too. But the monthly monitoring fee keeps increasing. Almost every year, it's another dollar or $2. It started out as $26.99 a month and now, it's $34.99 a month. That's a big jump in my opinion. I have recommended them to everybody out here in my neighborhood and almost everybody has ADT. There are a few who started out with ADT but when the fees went up, they went with somebody else.

We have ADT’s alarm system and we are satisfied with their service. The installation went smoothly and the installers were friendly and knew what they were doing. There were also able to answer my husband’s questions and got everything installed in a timely manner.

Anyone reading this post please never, ever use ADT. They are a horrible company and absolutely don't care about small businesses, or anyone in general. In October 2014 we opened an account with ADT for our small fashion boutique, and for smart business reasons we decided to close the store in Nov 2015. We obviously called to cancel our ADT service since we were no longer going to need them.
However, we were told that we had a two-year contract and couldn't cancel until October 2016! We were so upset about that since we were never told it was a 2-year contract, but since we are responsible people we continued paying for our commitment. We were also told that we had to submit a letter in writing and request a cancellation. My husband followed up and everything was fine. They said they received the letter and will cancel as of October 14, 2016.
Well it's 2 years later and ADT are still charging our credit card!!! When we called to complain we are now told that it was a 3-year contract, AND, they have no record of a cancellation request. It is a very frustrating situation to say the least. I absolutely dislike this company with a passion. They are like a modern-day Mafia. When you call requesting a refund for the unlawful money they have been taking from your account, you are told, "Sorry we have no record of cancellation" and "We are taking you to collections for missing two payments" and now probably more since we stopped our CC company from authorizing any more payments as of August 2017. They were stealing money from us for a whole year. I don't know what else to do to get these demons to stop charging me and reimburse me.
I wish them nothing but bad luck and misfortune, and sincerely hope that anyone reading this seriously consider another alternative. They don't care about small business, you are just another revenue source. Customer service is the worst and they are all trained to lie and hang up the phone on clients. Customer service is a nightmare and conveniently never have any notes of cancellations or call history at all, because this is how they can continue stealing from people. Every year they seem like they keep adding another year to the contract; I want a copy of this contract. I absolutely don't recommend these crooks to anyone!

We have located and reviewed the account. Unfortunately, there is no record of a cancellation request having ever been received. That said, ADT would not accept nor process a cancellation greater than 90 days in advance. If cancellation was requested in 2015, it should have been completed at that time. You would have then been billed for 90% of the remaining contract balance, as a lump sum. By leaving the account in service, you would have been responsible for paying the alarm monthly and sending in your cancellation request at the end of your 2-year agreement. (P.S: All ADT contracts in the state of California are 2 years, not 3.)

Fortunately my ADT system has never had to be used to indicate an intruder. I have had false alarms due to doors not being shut all the way or metal front door interference. The lack of intruders may be due to the signage on front and back of house indicating that the property is protected by ADT. The ADT system gives me the opportunity to travel and know my property is monitored while I'm away.

Tyler was fantastic! Patiently explained everything. My husband and I are both over 65 and sometimes require extra time to understand technical stuff. Have never had a security system before so everything was new to us. He is a very pleasant person. We were ready to take him into the family by the time he took his leave. Very satisfied with the system so far. We have recently moved to Savannah from NY. Have not had to use it for any emergencies. Would like to thank Tyler and ADT for helping us feel secure here.

To say the least I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the customer service at "Defenders." I find it downright comical that when I called very late in the evening on August 23rd just to inquire about what they had to offer the rep was more than eager to get a tech out to "speak" to me first thing the next morning. The tech showed up completely ready to install, apparently the sales rep didn't explain that I hadn't even made a decision yet. I explained that I was having a new front door installed on September 15th and wanted to hold off until that was done. The tech and the sales rep both assured me that it wouldn't be a problem to come back to move the sensors. I agreed to the install, after it was complete I called and scheduled a service call for the 16th to move the sensor. I was given false information on a couple of things from multiple people along the way but I didn't make a big issue out of it.
Then about a week or so later while I was in the shower, my whole family was home and my system was UNARMED. I had my husband barreling into the bathroom saying that the alarm company had to speak to me. Dispatch from ADT said that it showed multiple zones alarming at my residence, the problem was that not only was it completely quiet but I didn't even have the alarm on. I had to call the rep back after I got out of the shower and they were able to log into the system and see that it was in fact unarmed at the time. They asked me to call defenders and set up a service call. I called and told the defenders rep what happened, they said something about ghost signals, ADT corporate still told me to insist on having the system checked so I said since I already have an appt set just add this issue to that ticket.
That is when I found out that the previous rep had documented everything but had failed to schedule the appt so at that time the new rep Dave called the supervisor and had the appt approved for the 16th, you know, the appointment that had originally been made almost a month prior and now was being made again a little over a week prior. So the 16th came and I waited all day with my two small children stuck in the house on a beautiful day waiting for the alarm guy from 10a-2p... At 2:30 still no one. I called defenders and was told by a very rude rep that although the supervisor approved the appt the person that does the calendar schedule felt that another customer needed the slot so they gave my time slot to someone else. NEVER was I given the decency of even a phone call to let me know that a tech wasn't coming, then the rude rep said that she would reschedule and her first available was that following Tuesday.
I took the appt and asked to speak to the manager, I was told there's no need to speak to the manager because it was rescheduled, that I could put in a complaint but probably wouldn't get a call back because they would see it as resolved since it's scheduled. I called multiple times after that asking for a manager and have yet to receive a callback. I put a dealer complaint in with corporate ADT and still never got a callback! Most recently on September 22nd I called again to speak to a manager and was told that "Kevin" was on the phone and would call me back... Never happened. I think it is pathetic that you can get someone out less than 12 hours later when there is money to be made off of an install but once you get the contract the customer is no longer worth the time to speak to.
Also I am paid up until October first yet I just got notification that my card has already been billed and today is the 23rd of September, I haven't even officially had the damn system in my house for a month yet. They don't waste any time pulling that money but good luck getting someone of authority to return a phone call. I had two people that I was setting up to refer to defenders for an alarm system, I even told that to the tech installing that day. I can now assure you that I will not be referring that business to defenders and the next issue I do have all of this equipment will be ripped out of my house and returned. You can't hold someone to a contract when you can't even supply the promised service on a consistent basis.
I pay the $4 extra/month for the app that doesn't work and gives errors 60% of the time. The tech couldn't figure it out and he also couldn't figure out why the "ghost" alarms went off, had I not been home police would've been dispatched for no reason and it would have been at zero fault of my own. The installation reps have been more than polite and accommodating, the customer service and management have left a lot to be desired. Again I have never in my life been more disappointed in a company and will definitely be spreading the word on my experience when asked.

No complaints. I feel safe when I sleep at night knowing my house and my family is protected. I love that I can control the volume setting on the keypad, that's a huge plus. Customer service is superb! I look forward to the next many years using this company.

This was the first security system we have ever had so I was starting from scratch. Early on and throughout the process I was impressed with the detail, communications and follow-through. From the initial sales call the plan was discussed thoroughly with all aspects of the equipment, service and installation discussed. I did call back with questions a few times and each time I was treated very well, questions answered completely and response times were all good. Then came installation. Nate was our technician and installer. Nate is outstanding 5 Stars!! Nate, was prompt and on time, discussed all aspects of the installation in detail, and thoroughly explained all equipment, recommendations and options. And Nate's training on utilization of the system, remote, and App were excellent. No Surprises. We are Pleased and we would recommend ADT and Nate capabilities in the future.

My daughter had ADT and told me about them. The installers did a good job and I got a yard sign as well as a keypad that I have to set every day. As soon as the alarm goes off, the reps quickly call me and they're very good. The alarm went off by mistake, but ADT has been good to me. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

I had a friend that was working for ADT and I was having some issues in the neighborhood, so I decided it was time to handy up the security. I've always had dogs but still I don't want them hurt if I'm out of the house and somebody tries to get in. The sales rep knew pretty much what I was asking for and explained some new benefits. They're friendly, informative and answered all my questions. Then the installer came out and he just stuck to his business. When he got it all done, he explained everything to me a couple of times. I'm an old lady, so we do learn but it takes us longer. So I was a little confused on the remote and he clarified all that for me. Since the day he got me up and running, I've been functioning, so job well-done. Their service people are also always nice and polite.
I have ADT in two places. In my old place, I have the door and monitoring pads. Then at my new home, I've got the door sensors, glass breakage sensors and remote. So if I forget to set the system on, I also have the process of being able to arm and disarm it on my phone. That's all new to me but ADT's system has always been good and I never had any issues with them for several years. I recommend ADT all the time, too. When friends are talking and asking who has what and whatever, I tell them I have full confidence in ADT and that they're Johnny-on-the-spot if I need something. I have also felt safe in their product and their monitoring. Over the years, I've had a few issues here where they sent the police, so I'm covered.

I have remained a customer of ADT over the years, being very satisfied with the service. A friend asked if she should give ADT my name as a referral for me to receive a referral discount. I called ADT to inquire and the person was unable to answer. She transferred me to another who was equally evasive, stating that the business must be a qualified ADT sales but could not tell me how to determine who is a "qualified" ADT salesperson. Nor did they have a list. So I feel they are advertising referral discounts unfairly, as the public does not have ready access to this information. They were also somewhat short and began to question me. This was the first time I've been made to feel uneasy or displeased with their response but it definitely left a poor impression.

The person who helped me in the phone was gracious, knew her job and patiently guide me step by step to find and fix the problem. The only negative thing is that I did not receive the batteries that your company sent, but since your employee had told me the specifications of the battery needed, I bought and installed it as she had explained me.

This is as accurate as I can get. We asked for a new monitor screen, and we have not heard from ADT. Ours has a glitch with the button to turn the video on and off. We told the tech that came out, he said he wrote it up.

I recommended my sister to ADT. She talked with a customer rep and did not get an accurate cost. She was completely floored at the cost when the installer arrived and gave her the true cost of the system. She did go ahead with the installation because she needed a system in place. But I recommended she call for assistance and hopefully get a credit to her account on the cost. NO Way could I afford that cost! I was very shocked at what they charged her!

We love the safe secure feeling we get from ADT. Partnered together with RING and Amazon ALEXA, our home is buttoned up and safe with home automation giving us complete control. Even in our safe hood our system was tested by a bad guy. He ran off.

ADT was recommended by a friend and it was a better home security according to my son-in-law's research. I called and talked to ADT about the package and made arrangements to have it installed. I have the motion detector and a camera inside and two outside included in my service package. I’m not smart with computers and I had to call in a few times to figure out how to set alarms for certain things, and I really appreciated the service reps who were very courteous and helpful. Everything had been pleasant and informative. I’m very pleased with ADT and I would tell that to anybody.

When ADT has had reason to contact us it has always been a good experience. I know we are being served. The calls have always been prompt after alarm had been activated. Fortunately all have been due to authorized entry but human error.

We have used ADT in our home in Canada and when we bought a house down in Florida, we put it there as well. But then Hurricane Irma went through and knocked it all apart. We've moved from that house and no longer have ADT available here in our second home in Canada, because we don't have phone lines. Back then, we have cameras and a light that we can turn on and off from ADT. Their service has been fine and we'd recommend it.

I have alert for all my doors and the windows and motion detector. My system beeps quite a bit when I turn it off and the ADT lady I talked to said the battery was not low, but she couldn’t tell me anything to do about it. Sometimes I can punch in the last two numbers a couple of times and it’ll stop. Overall, we’ve had ADT for a number of years and I’ve been well-satisfied.

ADT is quick to respond to a compromised event in my home. On numerous occasions they have alerted me and/or a qualified friend that we have not responded to turning off the active button when entering my home. ADT asked the proper questions to secure the home. I am very pleased with their service.

The monthly price goes up too much every year. I understand it will go up somewhat due to inflation, cost of living adjustments, etc., but the increase is disproportionate. We started at about $30 a month. Now it's almost double after about 6 years.

When my husband and I built our new home in 2000 I was only one of two on our block. I felt that with my husband in a nursing home that I needed an alarm system to have protection. I have continued to carry ADT since that time and I am so grateful that service is available.

I had a smoke detector cause a fire alarm in my home. Since it was monitored by ADT and the alarm was loud enough to mask the phone call from ADT, they called the fire department who arrived within minutes. The alarm was false; caused by a defective detector. I called ADT, told them a detector was bad and that I had disconnected the detector. They dispatched a technician within two days who came out, replaced two detectors and also took the time to replace batteries in several motion and glass-break detectors. All this for $25! Great job!

I am very pleased with my experience. I am much more comfortable at night with my security system on. My children also feel more comfortable with my having the system. My house is a one family residence. My system shows any entrance to my home. I know if anyone enters my home without my being aware they are there.

We were pleased with the service technicians Estefano and Glen performed when updating our ADT alarm system. They were very thorough, courteous and explained all the features on our phones and made sure we understood how to use the new system. My family has been with ADT a long time, before that with Broadview which they bought out. We've had a lot of errors with the signal, spent money and time for these system errors with no real long-term solutions. Customer service representatives are friendly but when I expressed my concerns they just use empathetic expressions of understanding and offer no real solutions (except to send someone out who I have to pay again for the same problem that I've paid for before... multiple times).
Does ADT not care enough about the families their protecting? My experience with ADT is that it does not offer quality products, customer service representatives with initiative and real solutions. Apart from this ongoing issue, ADT wanted to charge me for signage after they bought Broadview, not a good sign. I should have switched a long time ago, my family's safety is my greatest concern. I was wearing the Medical Alarm Wristband while moving items to our camper for the Hurricane Irma evacuation. Apparently I bumped the alarm. The response was quick, as usual for any alarm. I was not aware that I had triggered the alarm until my cellphone rang. The contact person cleared the alarm and we were back to normal. Thank you ADT. I had never used the Medical Alarm except for one testing session I called for. It was reassuring to know it really worked.

ADT called that my alarm sounded. First time since the system was installed over 2 years ago. Fortunately it was only a sensor that had to be reset. The technician at ADT stayed on the phone until I reset the sensor and one other and checked that the system was working properly.

I love my ADT system. My wife is housebound disabled. If I need to go out, I feel secure when setting the alarm. I also like the fact I can work the alarm through my iPhone, except I do at times have issues with the connection. I also like that I can work the alarm through my Amazon Alexa.

I like the stand alone system that doesn't need a phone line. I original Brinks which changed to Broadview which changed to ADT. GREAT COMPANY. I like the many options they give you and the prompt response to the alarm when it goes off. I recommend the Taylor's.

With this system I feel secure. This was installed when my house was built 17 years ago. My neighbors' homes have been broken into and our home has not, probably due to the security system. Our vehicle outside has been broken into, but again not our home. Thank you for your service. My mom also has this system to protect her as well so we do recommend this service to others.

ADT has consistently responded quickly when the alarm has activated. We have not had any instances where the alarm did not activate. ADT staff are always very courteous and professional. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with updating my information.

Have had numerous problems with my alarm system over the past several weeks. Took two weeks to get an appointment and after waiting all afternoon the technician did not show. Had to wait another week for another appointment. Have been with ADT since 2010. Very unhappy.

I will admit to not using the system that much. I've got 3 pitbulls living in my house. That being said, the ADT system is still always on. The smoke detector is, if anything, too sensitive. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel very safe, and it helps protect my pets when I'm not around.

I found the app (ADT Pulse) very convenient to use and very helpful for a quick check on the house. The idea to log the "activity" is very useful. The use of the camera is also very nice. Finally, the ability arm/disarm is very helpful when I am on the go. All in all, very good product and service.

There has never been a "crisis" situation, thank goodness, but when there has been an accidental alarm ADT is right there checking to make sure we are OK. They are always very polite too! When we are away from home or out of town it is nice to know that someone is watching the house. We also have the medical part on our fob so that if we fall in or around the house we can get help. That's a comfort for old folks.

Before we moved into our house, it already had the Brinks system installed. Then, ADT absorbed Brinks’ alarm business so they replaced the original system that I had and added some additional sensors. What we have now is a standard alarm system with the keypad, motion detectors, and smoke detectors. It's been a service that works and has been good so far except for the problem that we had with their local contact through the cell phone system. They're using AT&T who has lousy service in this area and they won't switch to Verizon which is good service. So sometimes if the contact drops off, it wakes me up in the middle of night beeping that it's lost contact. There's nothing that they will or can do about it. It happens once or every couple of years so I wish they would get rid of AT&T, and everything would be great.

My neighbors, Mau from next door, and Daniel across the street, have ADT. My house was robbed about eight years ago and Daniel was nice enough to give me stickers even though I didn’t have an alarm system. Andrew sold me the system and he was great in sales, while Jesse was great in service and did everything, including installing the smoke alarm. I went a little crazy and got too many features, but I went back to ADT's basic offer and got what was recommended. I have a system in my master bedroom, one in the living room and one in my office. I got the initial $100 gift card for buying the system and when I called back to readjust it because I had too many systems done, the customer service rep gave me another $100 gift card because she couldn’t reduce the price. I’ve already received a gift card and the other one is in the mail.
My house is protected, including the front and back doors, my bedroom and the two windows in my kitchen. Both windows in my living room are protected as well. I also have the security button where I can activate and deactivate the alarm inside and outside the house. I can also call for fire, the police, or an ambulance. With ADT, I don’t have to worry about anybody hurting me or taking advantage of me and there’s not a doubt that the system works because when Jesse was doing the system, he called in for the test and they didn’t answer the phone, but ADT called me and the Georgetown Police called me.
I’ve had two strokes and my doctor’s nurse called an ambulance for me back in April. My 80-year-old mother took care of me when I got out of the hospital and lived with me for three months, but I’m okay and I'm alone now. Andrew got me a medical alert pendant that bypasses the police and the fire. I have it in my bathroom and I just hit that to connect to the alarm system and it will call for 911. I accidentally hit the life alert pendant and started off the alarm, but I got to the panel quick enough to shut it off. Overall, ADT is life changing for the better experience and I couldn’t ask for a better company. They have a very satisfied and happy customer.

My son has used ADT for years in different places and one of my neighbors recommended them to me too. I live by myself so I’ve been considering some kind of an alarm system in case I fall. I also got the watch that I can wear. The sales representative was a nice gentleman and I enjoyed dealing with him. The technician was very professional and fast too. He explained the system to me and helped me set up my iPhone. I have the fire, the medical alert and the entrance system which I’m pleased with. I went out of town after I got the system and I got an alarm around midnight, although I didn't know what set it off. But there was nothing looted in the house and I was able to use my phone to reset the alarm. The service has been great and the price is right too. I’m very satisfied with ADT.

ADT wants a 78-year-old woman to climb a ladder to change a battery or pay ADT $30.00 to change it for me after I purchase the battery. I pay them over $50.00 a month and they cant even change a battery for me. Time to find a company that provides better service to senior citizens.

NO INTERNET - I called the 800 # eight times and no matter what I stated was wrong I got the same recording. I then went to chat on my cell phone and was able to get through. Service was scheduled for the next AM. Technican was super and found and fixed the outside line in about 30 minutes. The 800# was a joke but my repair was completed and I am a happy customer.

Alert detector has gone bad - This is my second problem with the same ADT Technician. He is quick with his diagnosis of the problem and is also quick with the repair. He also was knowledgeable about my system and answered several questions I had. Fast, courteous, and represents ADT very well.

I like ADT. When I set the alarm off inadvertently I get a call and everything is OK. I trust the alarm. But, my alarm system doesn't connect to my IOT gadgets. I have Amazon Echo in my home but I can't control my ADT system from them. I have HomeLink wireless control rearview mirror in my car but I can't activate or deactivate my ADT from my car because HomeLink doesn't connect with ADT. ADT needs to upgrade the system to work in the IOT world.

Overall, ADT has been there for me when needed. Although, there have been some minor issues with the ADT Pulse app connecting with my security system, the customer service team has always gone above and beyond to assist whenever I run into an issue. Any issues I have ever had were very minor and easily and quickly corrected. From the initial installation to normal daily operation of the security system, I am thoroughly impressed with ADT. The service is so dependable and easy to use I rarely think about it. I know that ADT is always on the job. When AT&T did some wiring changes due to the switch to U-verse my ADT temporarily stopped working. ADT service personnel responded quickly to fix the problem.

Encountered technical issues with the alarm, but was able to resolve those fairly easily. Cancelling services not as great an experience - had to call a few times and one representative stated I would not be billed the following month and then I was billed and had to call and deal with that and getting the charge refunded.
Also, the cancellation fee provided to me when I initially called was different than the letter I received and what the other representative told me. While I understand there is an early cancellation charge for canceling the contract before the annual date and that gets refunded to you if you enroll for service again at your new location up to two years. But, it would be nice if ADT would provide or be able to negotiate the cancellation fee, especially if you do not know whether you will use their services again.

We had a problem with one sensor. It would keep beeping and even though we tried to reset it, it kept on beeping. Then we couldn't even set the away on the system. We called to get help and initially they sent batteries out to us. Subsequently when the replacement of a battery didn't solve the problem, a technician was sent out. Right away he saw that we had placed the new battery without taking the clear coating off. (He said even techs had done this). Anyway after he left, most of the other sensors became coming up as errors. We called the tech back and he said to replace batteries, which we did except for a motion detector, which we couldn't figure out how to open. He patiently worked with us through several phone calls and a picture sent by phone so he could determine what kind we had. He then told us how to open it and we were able to enable all our sensors. Since then our system has been working fine.

I have had ADT since I moved into my home. When the equipment started getting older they came out and redid everything free of charge. Each time an alarm has sounded I am promptly notified and since I have cats that could have caused the alarm they do not immediately call for a police visit but ask me specifically which I am sure has saved me money since I am allowed only three "freebies". The system works very well. We have always had immediate notification and quick service if we have had any problems. Our one complaint is that the alarm went off in the early hours of the morning due to low battery. It was hard to go back to sleep. Now a new battery will be mailed to us but will take 7-10 days, so until then each night we have to set the alarm so that it will not go off while we are asleep. I think shipping should be expedited.

I like using your service, even if the price is higher than what I was paying in Illinois. The service works just as expected. The testing is very painless when needed, which is weekly. I have used ADT for the last 8 years and will continue to use them.

After being an ADT customer for over 10 years with no issues, I relocated to another state. Again, no issues. Then, I moved across town the following year, and had an awful experience, from the (lack) of customer service, to erroneous charges to my debit card: an $800 + cancellation fee, and TRIPLICATE debits for the activation/monitoring fee. Both incidents were disruptive to my budget -- I spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with both ADT and my bank. If it were not for the outrageous contract I'm bound to with ADT, I would definitely take my business elsewhere. The only redeeming comment I can make is that the tech who installed my system was helpful and friendly.

ADT allows me to feel safe in my home, a thing that's a little hard to come by these days. The only problems I have ever had with my ADT Security System are ones that I created myself. However, I wish ADT would come up with a software system that would allow them to test all covered windows and doors REMOTELY on a scheduled basis.

I've had ADT for 4 years and I feel very safe in my home while I'm here, and I know my home is protected when I'm not at home. If the alarm happens to go off before I can shut it off ADT will call to make sure I'm ok. I like that. You provide a valuable service for your customers.

Staff walked me through the steps to determine if problem was with ADT or Frontier. Quickly determined it was Frontier and gave the process to reset my ADT modem. Once Frontier was able to isolate my 2 problems, one outside and one inside the house I was able to reset my ADT with no problems.

ADT Pulse - Satisfied with the service so far. I love the alert that lets you know when a specific door in your home opens. The cost is affordable for what you get. Customer service is great too. The person that installed my equipment was kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend ADT to a friend. My friend who convinced me to get ADT received a $100.00 gift card with her promotion. We responded to an ad that showed a great price for product and service that we were looking for in a security system. ADT is a respected and well known name, so we called. I found out that we were not actually talking to ADT but an ADT dealer. I was ok with it, but I just did not realize it before calling. The rep on the phone was extremely helpful and got us set up for an in-house meeting. I was not thrilled with the fact that I could not get any real price info over the phone, but I was ok with it. The rep came to our house, and he was great. He was informative, helpful, friendly, and he made us feel very comfortable with our purchase.
The only thing I would say that I was not thrilled with is the final cost, but I chalk that up as my not understanding the ad. I thought we were getting free equipment, but it was just $800 off the total cost of what we got. It was still good, and I would do it again. I just did not understand at first. Our rep has stayed in contact with us to make sure we are happy which is great. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and strongly recommend ADT to anyone who wants a security system.

We have used ADT for several years and have been happy with it. The only issue we have is the cost to add a sensor. We were told at the time of installation we could have up to 8 sensors without additional charges. In our new house we only needed 4, but since we added a door to the back of the house, we were asked to pay $138 to have 1 sensor put in. Service has been good, but the wireless card in our system has been replaced 3 times, the last one appears to have been a good one, so no issues for a while. We will still stay with ADT, just wish additions were not so high. We ended up moving an internal sensor to the external door. All is good.

Power went down following Hurricane Irma. ADT contacted us throughout the day to alert about power trouble. Power restored 14 hours later and somehow activated fire alarm. We were not reachable by phone at that time so emergency contacts were notified and fire equipment dispatched. Happy to know all systems working as they should and apologize to firefighters for false alarm.

Tech was very professional and helpful, the only complaint we have is a check was written to pay for the upgrade and the tech talked to someone which he gave our bank information to complete the transaction. He then told us to void the check everything was complete and paid for. We then received a bill from ADT for the same amount. I first became aware of ADT's products, monitoring service and support while in the Army. ADT was in the lead by providing the most advanced, computer assisted line security, remote monitor queries rate per minute, rapid notification of MP station when activations occurred with the monitoring personnel working with us till alarm activation was resolved. When I wanted a home security service and system, I went to ADT because a check showed they were still the industry leader in sensor design, site placement of local site sensor monitor/control unit, integrated UPS (uninterrupted power supply), line security and multiple queries per minute with the same quality corporate monitoring staff.
Since I have started my service with ADT, ADT has implemented several new automated and remote systems that further improve my home's security. Sure there are cheaper systems offered, but I remember the old saying is, "You get what you pay for." I know what I am getting from ADT, peace of mind that my home security is being watched over by the best monitoring and support service available on a 24/7 basis. No matter when I have called, and for whatever the reason, a knowledgeable person answered and took care of my needs without referring me to other numbers to call. I am happy with my ADT service.

ADT notified us of a smoke detector going off, right down the line of our call list and then notified the Fire Department in a most timely manner. Spared us of a fire and any damage to our home. From my initial call to the tech servicing my camera the process was flawless and excellent. The tech was knowledgeable and also suggested a few new setting for capturing images when alarm is triggered. Also he positioned the replacement camera, he adjusted it to view a larger image area.

It's been a good experience with our alarm system. The employees of your company have been very helpful each time I have called for assistance. The only negative experience has been backup batteries do not seem to last. During our last hurricane Irma the system seemed to go dead after losing power for a few days. Otherwise it's been fine.

Been an ADT Customer for over 15 years. Started with just the beginnings of an alarm system and have moved up with technology. Secure the house with window alarms and now use the ADT Pulse which can be worked through the Echo Dot and with an IPhone or Android. The service representatives in the call center are really efficient and help with any questions or concerns. The service representative who explained the ADT Pulse system was really knowledgeable and I felt at ease learning the system for someone over 60. And the technician who performed the install did a nice job and also was very efficient and knowledgeable. Feel safe, secure and comfortable!

I have the ADT full system with three cameras and contact doors and windows. I've had a service guy come out to repair my camera and put in a new circuit board which he had to put downstairs. The installation team came out originally before I got the cameras and they did a good job with our window and door contacts. They set my alarm to make sure the decibels were high enough so that we can hear it and wake everybody up. I've been with ADT for over ten years now and my experience has been good. ADT's service has been excellent.

I got the basic alarm that includes two keypads and a glass discriminator. The people during the installation were professional. They came and did what they said they were going to do. The service has been great and ADT is very competitive price-wise. I had them since 2004 and I'm very happy with the service. Their customer service is excellent and they do everything they can to keep you as a customer which you don't see very much anymore.

I had Brinks Security until ADT bought them out. Since switching to ADT, I’ve never had any problem and I am really satisfied with their service. There was a time when I got a call from them while I was outside and told me that my alarm has gone off. When they told me where the alarm was coming from, I knew that the dog had set it off. They just put an “ignore” on there until I had time to go to my doctor’s appointment and get back home. Then there were also times when I had to have ADT out to install the sensor again after having a new front door put up and to disconnect a sensor between two rooms after adding a spa room behind our bathroom. I never had any troubles with the technicians that they sent out.

I contacted ADT to reactivate the system that I have in my new house. The salesman on the phone give me the monthly fee around 50$ a month. I told him is double what I was paying for my security system with the same options. He then told me "no it's not that much, it only 1,5 a day, I spend that on a bag of chips!!!"

ADT has been good. A couple of times, I've had problems with the system not turning off and I had to call them. They had to do something at the office with refreshing the system and that didn't work out. I mentioned to them that I've had this problem for a couple of times and they said, “Well, whatever we did, hopefully, it won't happen again.” They've always tried to be helpful. I also had ADT in a previous house that I owned and I have been pleased with them. Plus, I have the mobile app where I can turn the system off or set it anywhere with my smartphone.

Six months ago, I found out that my smoke alarms were not connected to the alarm going out to the fire department, so they came out and installed an alarm and put it on the wireless system. I've had some false alarms, wherein the remote was in my pocket and I accidentally pushed the alarm key, but they took care of those. A cop came out but that was handled appropriately. Overall, I've been completely happy with ADT.

I have had ADT for 25 years and right now, everything is good. My alarm system has interior motion sensors and a digital keypad, as well as 3 yard signs. However, my digital keypad doesn’t beep anymore. ADT has been good to me so far and they've been great. They respond on time, the alarm works, and they give me a little courtesy call to ask me if everything's okay. They're great guys. I’ve recommended them to both my sister and daughter. They're very good and I love them.

I got the ADT service when I moved into my house a long time ago. It was Brinks when I signed up. The system was built into the house and we had to activate it. I have the yard sign and the system came with the smoke detector. I'm very satisfied with the ADT service except I see ads that I can get the service for a lower price than the same amount that I've been paying for 10 years. Other than that, they're responsive any time I accidentally set off the alarm so it's all good. The system works, it's easy and doesn't cause me any trouble.

The phone number (800-238-2455) listed on the monthly statement received yesterday for billing question kept playing commercials for a long period of time. It is a waste of time. At the end of commercials, I was given an another number to call which is again controlled by a voice recognition software. Anyway, I was not able to reach ADT customer service through this number and finally I went to ADT website to provide my details to get a callback. It took more than 1 hour to get connected with a live agent. Very poor customer service.

We’ve had ADT since 2007 or 2008 and we got door entry, smoke, fire, and burglar alarms in our package. I’ve had both business and personal and their service is fine. I’m very happy with them, but I wish the costs would quit going up all the time. All in all, they have a good product for the money.

I heard about ADT several years ago and everybody that had it was pleased with their service. So, when I had to make an investment, I called them and I’ve had them for more than 5 years now. They’re very good at telling us when there has to be a change and how to update our control box. When there’s been one problem over the last several years, I called them up and within one day I had somebody there to fix it. I’m very satisfied with ADT and I would recommend them.

I bought an alarm system with a digital keypad from ADT. They did a good job when they installed it and the times that we've had issues, they've called right away. The experience has been very good so far.

We have everything ADT had to offer and the service has been very good. Even the sales representative was very good, and the installers were very knowledgeable and courteous. They were here on time and they got it done like they say they would. Several of our friends had them too.

If somebody breaks in the house or if we open the door when it's set, the alarms go off. If we open the door, the ADT team calls us very promptly to ask us for our password. We also have one motion sensor installed. When a technician came in and replaced our keypad earlier this year, he was excellent. I just wish we had an accurate user manual for our system. In the 16 years we've had it, the clock is never properly set. We just lived with it since the last time we called about it, they wanted to charge $25 to come and set the clock. The fellow set the clock, but when we tried to change it for daylight savings, the instructions I had didn't work. But we don't use it for a clock anyway. All in all, I would recommend them.

I decided to go with a fresh company when I moved into my new house 12 years ago and my new neighbors who had ADT said it's a good place. I have had service come out two or three times and they always do a good job. They call if I accidentally set off the alarm. But it looks like I have to call them again because the alarm beeps loudly and surreal and I've been getting up every morning at 4:51 to turn it off. It disturbs my sleep. ADT said the backup battery would recharge in two to three days but it's not. Also, their monthly fee for monitoring is out of line with other companies. I could get it for $16.95 with some other company but I want to stay with a company I have trust in.

I am submitting this review/complaint in behalf of my father. This is an unresolved issue from June 2017. On 6/23/17 due to a lightning storm my father's ADT Security system got damage. Since he couldn't afford the repairs and is not bound to a contract, he chose to disconnect the service. However, it has taken me nearly 3 months to have them cancel the service/billing. I've made about 20 phone calls and sent several emails with a cancellation letter as per their request along with my POA so I could deal with this situation and not having to involve my father into this. Unfortunately, I never got a response from ADT.
They claim not receiving anything from me except 1 time they got the cancellation letter which according to them it didn't have a signature. On 7/21/17 I spoke with a manager by the name Mr. ** and he asked me to email him the same letter along with the POA to **. On that day he also stated that ADT will be sending my father a credit of $70+. Every conversation I've had with ADT is a worthless effort, they don't take any positive actions towards our request.
My father never received that credit and is still being billed for a service he hasn't used since 6/23/17. The bill has accumulated to almost $147.00 and because it hasn't been paid I am afraid they file a negative report with the credit bureau, causing an additional problem for my father. I contacted the psc.state.ga.us to see if they can help me with this matter and a representative got back to me with the following statement: "Unfortunately, the GPSC has no regulatory authority over privately-owned security systems. We only regulate the rates of public, investor-owned utilities such as Atlanta Gas Light and Georgia Power. We also give licenses to phone companies to provide residential landline phone service in the state. You may wish to contact the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs at 1-800-869-1123 for help with this matter." I received this email on August 24, 2017 11:24 AM.
On 9/12/17 I called ADT once again to see if they could finalize this situation. However, it was extremely frustrating to deal with the representative. Since the beginning of the call I told her I needed to talk to a manager, she wouldn't transfer the call nor she had a manager come to the line. And as always I got the same response from them: "We haven't received a signed letter", "We need to speak to your father before canceling the service." Since I asked why they haven't got in contact with me after I sent several email with this request, the same representative stated: "Yes we have called but you didn't answer" I told her no one has called me but if they did, they should've leave a message on my voicemail. Her response to that was: "By law telemarketer can't leave messages on voicemails." Today I contacted the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs of my state, hope they can do something about this.

This is seriously the worst company I have ever dealt with along with their contracted company Defenders. Following a break in, I had ADT home security system installed and I thought everything was going to be secure in my home. I couldn't have been more wrong! The problems started with my dog's bark setting off the glass break sensors causing me to come home from what I was doing to turn off the alarm multiple times. The crappy application was barely functional and so I had no other choice but to come home to stop the beeping to calm my dog down.
Then when I got a call to see if it was a false alarm or a real alarm, the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude! This all happened within 48 hours of getting the system installed so I decided to cancel because I was within my 3 day cancellation window (now I know why the cancellation window is so small!). I was given a fax number and told my cancellation form had to either be faxed or postmarked by 8/28 and so I tried faxing 6 different times only to receive a busy signal. Then I put the signed copy in the mail and they "Never received it"!!! What a SCAM!!! It's 2017, have you ever heard of scanning and e-mailing documents?!! No, because you are trying to scam people into staying with your awful company!
I have been calling and writing almost every day for over 2 weeks trying to get this situation resolved and I will not stop until it is. I finally spoke to someone with Defenders who allowed me scan and e-mail my fax attempts as proof of my cancellation and he scheduled an appointment for someone to remove my equipment. Guess what?! THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!! My husband had to rearrange one of his only days off to wait for this guy who never showed. We even had to pay for our dog to go to daycare because he is not good with strangers. This is hands down the worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever dealt with and I would advise anyone reading this to go with one of the many other options out there!

The representatives were very professional and respectful of my home and my security concerns. In the end, the package cost much more than I had expected. However, the representative did a good job to rearrange things and lower the cost and still keep our home safe. The trouble indicator came on the following day, but the alarm system is working. I need to call in and figure out what the panel issue is. Overall, I was quite pleased with the equipment, installation and the representatives. Again, my only complaint would be the cost.

I've had ADT services for 20 years. We had the security system changed up because we changed the alarm for some windows And then we had it changed to wireless. My husband called and got that going. The installer was good and he seemed very adept.

When we came to Huntsville, we signed on with a local security, Broadview, then ADT bought them. We have outside doors alarm and sensors that if anybody comes in on one of those, ADT will pick up. During installation, their team was on time for the installation of the two new remotes. When I first had ADT, my experience was not so good, but now, I find their service to be excellent. They have improved in the past few years. When I talk to them on the phone, they're really nice and I don’t have any problem. They help me out anytime I need help.

I am very unhappy. I have spent thousands on ADT Pulse items for my home and I pay monthly for service and now the ADT Pulse app has completely stopped working. What's the point in having ADT Pulse if you can't use the app? ADT's Pulse app is the only app out of the zillions of apps I use that doesn't work at all - No other companies have this issue. That is the whole reason I got ADT in the first place. You have got to be kidding me. I want everyone to know. The old app worked fine and then ADT decided it had to give the Pulse app a new look and this newer app from a few months ago didn't work for two days. They finally got it working again and then, since 7 days ago the Pulse app completely stopped working. You can't see your cameras, you can't open your garage door, you can't turn a light on, you can't lock your door, etc. You can't do anything but you have paid for all of this equipment and you get to keep paying for it each month.
Every time I try to use the Pulse app just says "operation failed" and sometimes it says "can't connect to the server". I had the tech out who couldn't do anything. I wasted TWO HOURS on the phone with ADT tech support which was just pointless. All tech support can do is put in a ticket, oh and tech support doesn't work on the weekends which I had called on a Saturday. No one from ADT will call me with an update and I don't even know if ADT is working on the Pulse app because they can't communicate with individuals because they are too big. I.e. NO ONE CARES THAT YOUR PULSE APP DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. The tech told me to keep calling customer service and keep trying the Pulse app every day to see if it works. Really? I am supposed to use my valuable time as a paying customer to keep telling ADT to do their job?
How many times do I have to tell ADT the app doesn't work? Fix the app ADT!!! If your app developers can't fix why don't you hire people who know how to fix it? Communicate with your customers ADT. We are the ones keeping you in business. ADT IS TOO BIG TO CARE. I was told that based on the percentage of problems customers are having is how the techs decide what to fix. But no one can tell me if others are having problems with the ADT Pulse app and what the percentage is and no one can tell me when or if anyone will work on the problem. It is pointless to have ADT Pulse if you can't use the app.
Of course, no one from ADT has called about the ticket I put in 7 days ago. The customers don't matter. No one takes ownership of the issue and there is no one at ADT you can work with directly. Even the techs have to call customer service. What a joke. All I can do is put my feedback on every single site that the app doesn't work and who knows if it ever will.

My family is attempting (for the third time) to cancel and get their refund from ADT as we speak. Their sales were misleading and their reps refuse to transfer the call to a supervisor or manager, after being completely unprofessional and not only continuously interrupting, but hanging the call up! The most terrible customer service! We advised we would contact the BBB, which did not seem to faze anyone - after checking BBB, their negative reviews rate is 94%! Do NOT create this headache for yourself, and stay as far from ADT as you can!

We had Brinks then ADT took over them. The only time we've ever used them was when we didn't get to the alarm on time. But every time we've had to call, which has only been two or three times, it's never been a problem. I would recommend them.

ADT's service has been fine. We set the alarm when we go out and if something makes a big noise it would set the alarm off. I accidentally set off the alarm and they called but I was wondering how long the alarm has to go off before they call you to see if everything's okay.

ADT’s service is fine. One time, when I went on vacation, I had to call their customer service and they were able to help me. Their technicians were also good and very professional when they changed a battery for our system. However, the only thing that would be nice is, when they call on your cellphone when the alarm is going off, that they have a caller ID that says “ADT” instead of an 800 number so that you know whether to take it if you're somewhere.

I have the interior pad and the keychain remote from ADT. I also have their app on my phone. So far, I'm happy with them. I've had a false alarm twice. One time, we thought we had an intruder. My mother lives with us and she was wandering around. I told them there is someone breaking into the house. It's impressive how fast they contacted me and got the authorities here. That's good. Plus, all of my interactions with their people have been positive. Having had a false alarm, it's reassuring when I get to bed at night knowing that I'm going to be safe.

When we moved into the house 13 years ago, the guy that was telling us about all the different amenities told us about ADT. We got all the features included in the service package – the post box, windows, and doors. The installation went smoothly and their team was professional and courteous. Whenever I talk to the sales reps, the experience has always been pleasant. Sometimes, when I accidentally set off the alarm, they call right away to check and make sure it’s not anyone breaking in or to see if everything is okay. They're very efficient.

We did a lot of research before we got our home alarm service. We originally bought it from Brinks then ADT took over that company. We have the heat sensors, the home alarm, the keychain remote, yard signs and door signs. Their service has been wonderful and great.

I’ve had ADT for about 14 years and I don’t do much more than, turn the alarm on and turn the alarm off. One time, we had a lightning strike and they came on out. They replaced some parts and they did what they’re supposed to do.

I’ve been with ADT ever since I bought my house which was 16 years ago. My alarm system has the digital keypad and ADT yard sign. Anytime I have had to call, the reps have all been courteous and very nice. I never had a bad experience with them. The installers have been able to do what they’re supposed to do so no problem there either. ADT is a good company. I like their product and the way they do business. I love them so I’m here for the long haul. I don’t plan to change but people call all the time so I would say, “No. I have an alarm system. Thank you.”
