There has never been a "crisis" situation, thank goodness, but when there has been an accidental alarm ADT is right there checking to make sure we are OK. They are always very polite too! When we are away from home or out of town it is nice to know that someone is watching the house. We also have the medical part on our fob so that if we fall in or around the house we can get help. That's a comfort for old folks.

I’ve been an ADT customer for a bit over a year now. I’ve used a few other alarm companies in the past. But none have compared to ADT. I am a 100% satisfied customer. From install to daily use it’s all been great. The mobile app is awesome. I can monitor every door, window and motion with ease. Thanks.

I called customer service as my Pulse gave me a message I had to upgrade. Install new app was response. She was VERY nice and tried to help me though she wasn't familiar with my brand. I have NO clue how to delete or upload apps! I have to call someone else.

You all are a great company to work with due to your prices on certain items and parts of the alarm system, and you all be helping me by finding me a cheaper price range on my cameras and alarm system that me and my husband could afford to pay each month, and we love you all company. We are not even thinking about leaving you all company.

Great service!! The system is user friendly and easy to set automations and schedules. I recommended the system to friends and family and coworkers. The system monitoring fee is inexpensive and worth every penny. I truly like the indoor camera. I use it daily when I'm away from home!

The service is good. When I have called, I have received timely help. The system is reliable and easy to use. When I come home the system is on and it makes me feel safer. I was directed to ADT through my insurance company.

My son has used ADT for years in different places and one of my neighbors recommended them to me too. I live by myself so I’ve been considering some kind of an alarm system in case I fall. I also got the watch that I can wear. The sales representative was a nice gentleman and I enjoyed dealing with him. The technician was very professional and fast too. He explained the system to me and helped me set up my iPhone. I have the fire, the medical alert and the entrance system which I’m pleased with. I went out of town after I got the system and I got an alarm around midnight, although I didn't know what set it off. But there was nothing looted in the house and I was able to use my phone to reset the alarm. The service has been great and the price is right too. I’m very satisfied with ADT.

Before we moved into our house, it already had the Brinks system installed. Then, ADT absorbed Brinks’ alarm business so they replaced the original system that I had and added some additional sensors. What we have now is a standard alarm system with the keypad, motion detectors, and smoke detectors. It's been a service that works and has been good so far except for the problem that we had with their local contact through the cell phone system. They're using AT&T who has lousy service in this area and they won't switch to Verizon which is good service. So sometimes if the contact drops off, it wakes me up in the middle of night beeping that it's lost contact. There's nothing that they will or can do about it. It happens once or every couple of years so I wish they would get rid of AT&T, and everything would be great.

My neighbors, Mau from next door, and Daniel across the street, have ADT. My house was robbed about eight years ago and Daniel was nice enough to give me stickers even though I didn’t have an alarm system. Andrew sold me the system and he was great in sales, while Jesse was great in service and did everything, including installing the smoke alarm. I went a little crazy and got too many features, but I went back to ADT's basic offer and got what was recommended. I have a system in my master bedroom, one in the living room and one in my office. I got the initial $100 gift card for buying the system and when I called back to readjust it because I had too many systems done, the customer service rep gave me another $100 gift card because she couldn’t reduce the price. I’ve already received a gift card and the other one is in the mail.
My house is protected, including the front and back doors, my bedroom and the two windows in my kitchen. Both windows in my living room are protected as well. I also have the security button where I can activate and deactivate the alarm inside and outside the house. I can also call for fire, the police, or an ambulance. With ADT, I don’t have to worry about anybody hurting me or taking advantage of me and there’s not a doubt that the system works because when Jesse was doing the system, he called in for the test and they didn’t answer the phone, but ADT called me and the Georgetown Police called me.
I’ve had two strokes and my doctor’s nurse called an ambulance for me back in April. My 80-year-old mother took care of me when I got out of the hospital and lived with me for three months, but I’m okay and I'm alone now. Andrew got me a medical alert pendant that bypasses the police and the fire. I have it in my bathroom and I just hit that to connect to the alarm system and it will call for 911. I accidentally hit the life alert pendant and started off the alarm, but I got to the panel quick enough to shut it off. Overall, ADT is life changing for the better experience and I couldn’t ask for a better company. They have a very satisfied and happy customer.

Johnny our representative stopped by. He was very friendly and professional. We were offered a great price for the amount of equipment provided. Installation was super quick. The representative thoroughly explained the system. So far our ADT system has not had any problems in the last two months and is very easy to operate. There is no price you can put on keeping your family safe.

We've had ADT for quite a while and I like them. We have the regular little pad where we set our alarm, and the installers were very good, all the way around. So far, everything that I've had has been good and I'm perfectly satisfied with my experience with ADT.

ADT wants a 78-year-old woman to climb a ladder to change a battery or pay ADT $30.00 to change it for me after I purchase the battery. I pay them over $50.00 a month and they cant even change a battery for me. Time to find a company that provides better service to senior citizens.

NO INTERNET - I called the 800 # eight times and no matter what I stated was wrong I got the same recording. I then went to chat on my cell phone and was able to get through. Service was scheduled for the next AM. Technican was super and found and fixed the outside line in about 30 minutes. The 800# was a joke but my repair was completed and I am a happy customer.

Overall we've had a good experience. However, when our doorbell camera was installed, no one ever told us that there would be a monthly charge of three dollars per month to review recorded video. A bit deceiving to say the least.

The three years we have had ADT not once was there any type of problems. No one little issue. Very happy with ADT and would recommend them to everyone. Also, their prices were very reasonable... ADT installer was very thorough and I believe everyone should use ADT for security.

Alert detector has gone bad - This is my second problem with the same ADT Technician. He is quick with his diagnosis of the problem and is also quick with the repair. He also was knowledgeable about my system and answered several questions I had. Fast, courteous, and represents ADT very well.

I like ADT. When I set the alarm off inadvertently I get a call and everything is OK. I trust the alarm. But, my alarm system doesn't connect to my IOT gadgets. I have Amazon Echo in my home but I can't control my ADT system from them. I have HomeLink wireless control rearview mirror in my car but I can't activate or deactivate my ADT from my car because HomeLink doesn't connect with ADT. ADT needs to upgrade the system to work in the IOT world.

Overall, ADT has been there for me when needed. Although, there have been some minor issues with the ADT Pulse app connecting with my security system, the customer service team has always gone above and beyond to assist whenever I run into an issue. Any issues I have ever had were very minor and easily and quickly corrected. From the initial installation to normal daily operation of the security system, I am thoroughly impressed with ADT. It is wonderful to know that the amazing team at ADT along with my security system installed is there for my family when I cannot be. Thank you!

I have been AFTER FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. IN MY experience and opinion this is one of the great companies to have monitoring your home. I feel very safe in my home. I rely on my alarm system to work while I'm gone away from the home and when I'm in the home. ADT is a great alarm company. I have tried some of the other things that they offer and it was great also. So yes I would highly recommend ADT.

ADT's field representative was a pleasure to work with; explained everything, never mislead us as to what we were getting on product or pricing. The installer was very professional and the office staff I talked to was also a pleasure to deal with (I didn't have any issue, just had a couple of questions regarding police permit, etc.). I would recommend them to anyone interested in home security.

The service is so dependable and easy to use I rarely think about it. I know that ADT is always on the job. When AT&T did some wiring changes due to the switch to U-verse my ADT temporarily stopped working. ADT service personnel responded quickly to fix the problem.

We have not had any problems with the system. It has worked very well. We would recommend to a family member or friend. The system makes us feel safe when we are at home or away. We use the ADT app on our phones which is great! It is very easy to use, being we are not so techno savvy.

I have been a customer of ADT for approx. 3 years. I recently moved and was told that I would have to have a new account and with the new account, I have less coverage. Very misleading. I would have liked to have some of my windows covered.

Encountered technical issues with the alarm, but was able to resolve those fairly easily. Cancelling services not as great an experience - had to call a few times and one representative stated I would not be billed the following month and then I was billed and had to call and deal with that and getting the charge refunded.
Also, the cancellation fee provided to me when I initially called was different than the letter I received and what the other representative told me. While I understand there is an early cancellation charge for canceling the contract before the annual date and that gets refunded to you if you enroll for service again at your new location up to two years. But, it would be nice if ADT would provide or be able to negotiate the cancellation fee, especially if you do not know whether you will use their services again.

We had a problem with one sensor. It would keep beeping and even though we tried to reset it, it kept on beeping. Then we couldn't even set the away on the system. We called to get help and initially they sent batteries out to us. Subsequently when the replacement of a battery didn't solve the problem, a technician was sent out. Right away he saw that we had placed the new battery without taking the clear coating off. (He said even techs had done this). Anyway after he left, most of the other sensors became coming up as errors. We called the tech back and he said to replace batteries, which we did except for a motion detector, which we couldn't figure out how to open. He patiently worked with us through several phone calls and a picture sent by phone so he could determine what kind we had. He then told us how to open it and we were able to enable all our sensors. Since then our system has been working fine.

The ease of calling and talking to a technician about the problem that you are having. They are very knowledgeable and are always willing to help. They are very quick with answers to the problems that you have described to them and while you are checking on the problem they will stay on the phone with you.

You guys do a good job at monitoring my house security. You answer promptly when there is an issue. I will recommend ADT to friends if there is a need. At the least suspicion/alert you guys would just call to find out what's happening. Even when the battery malfunctions, you guys notice and call. Keep the good job going.

I have had ADT since I moved into my home. When the equipment started getting older they came out and redid everything free of charge. Each time an alarm has sounded I am promptly notified and since I have cats that could have caused the alarm they do not immediately call for a police visit but ask me specifically which I am sure has saved me money since I am allowed only three "freebies". Very happy with ADT.

When we moved to a new home, they were able to accommodate the existing system from another company without having to replace everything. They are always sensitive to the cost of replacement or repairs. We have used them for many years without any issues and find them very responsive.

ADT has been monitoring my home for 12 years. After a lightning strike fried my Alarm's board, the technician came out and resolved the issue. Always available via phone and the website allows changes that do not require a human contact.

I do not have any complaints for this company. When the alarm goes off, they call me almost immediately. I called them two weeks ago to let them know that I would be away till the 25th of this month. They were very helpful and took care of everything.

We have been customers of ADT for several years. It has been comforting to know that we could leave home or go to bed at night without fear of someone breaking in and threatening our lives. Also, we have not worried about fire because of the touchpad which will notify the fire department or the police if necessary with only one touch. We couldn't be happier and the peace of mind is well worth the price.

I'm very glad that I purchased ADT's service. It makes me feel secure. So far I've had no problems but it's nice to know that it's there if I need it. Several of my neighbors have had break-ins. I am not sure that they have ADT but Three neighbors across the street from me have been broken into. So far I have been exempted. Thank heaven. So I think having ADT is a good deterrent.

Due to some instances in my life, I have set off my alarm. ADT has always responded in a timely fashion. The representative was always concerned with my safety first and then when I explained that I had set the alarm off myself, she was very understanding. I am happy with my association with ADT.

The system works very well. We have always had immediate notification and quick service if we have had any problems. Our one complaint is that the alarm went off in the early hours of the morning due to low battery. It was hard to go back to sleep. Now a new battery will be mailed to us but will take 7-10 days, so until then each night we have to set the alarm so that it will not go off while we are asleep. I think shipping should be expedited.

I like using your service, even if the price is higher than what I was paying in Illinois. The service works just as expected. The testing is very painless when needed, which is weekly. I have used ADT for the last 8 years and will continue to use them.

After being an ADT customer for over 10 years with no issues, I relocated to another state. Again, no issues. Then, I moved across town the following year, and had an awful experience, from the (lack) of customer service, to erroneous charges to my debit card: an $800 + cancellation fee, and TRIPLICATE debits for the activation/monitoring fee. Both incidents were disruptive to my budget -- I spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone with both ADT and my bank. If it were not for the outrageous contract I'm bound to with ADT, I would definitely take my business elsewhere. The only redeeming comment I can make is that the tech who installed my system was helpful and friendly.

ADT allows me to feel safe in my home, a thing that's a little hard to come by these days. The only problems I have ever had with my ADT Security System are ones that I created myself. However, I wish ADT would come up with a software system that would allow them to test all covered windows and doors REMOTELY on a scheduled basis.

Joseph was the tech who worked hard to get the right remote and set it up for me. He had to drive to a neighboring town to pick it up as the system I have was not the same as in the computer. But it all worked out.

I've had ADT for 4 years and I feel very safe in my home while I'm here, and I know my home is protected when I'm not at home. If the alarm happens to go off before I can shut it off ADT will call to make sure I'm ok. I like that. You provide a valuable service for your customers.

Staff walked me through the steps to determine if problem was with ADT or Frontier. Quickly determined it was Frontier and gave the process to reset my ADT modem. Once Frontier was able to isolate my 2 problems, one outside and one inside the house I was able to reset my ADT with no problems.

ADT Pulse - Satisfied with the service so far. I love the alert that lets you know when a specific door in your home opens. The cost is affordable for what you get. Customer service is great too. The person that installed my equipment was kind and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend ADT to a friend. My friend who convinced me to get ADT received a $100.00 gift card with her promotion. I did not get this perk. Nevertheless, I am satisfied.

We responded to an ad that showed a great price for product and service that we were looking for in a security system. ADT is a respected and well known name, so we called. I found out that we were not actually talking to ADT but an ADT dealer. I was ok with it, but I just did not realize it before calling. The rep on the phone was extremely helpful and got us set up for an in-house meeting. I was not thrilled with the fact that I could not get any real price info over the phone, but I was ok with it. The rep came to our house, and he was great. He was informative, helpful, friendly, and he made us feel very comfortable with our purchase.
The only thing I would say that I was not thrilled with is the final cost, but I chalk that up as my not understanding the ad. I thought we were getting free equipment, but it was just $800 off the total cost of what we got. It was still good, and I would do it again. I just did not understand at first. Our rep has stayed in contact with us to make sure we are happy which is great. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and strongly recommend ADT to anyone who wants a security system.

We have used ADT for several years and have been happy with it. The only issue we have is the cost to add a sensor. We were told at the time of installation we could have up to 8 sensors without additional charges. In our new house we only needed 4, but since we added a door to the back of the house, we were asked to pay $138 to have 1 sensor put in. Service has been good, but the wireless card in our system has been replaced 3 times, the last one appears to have been a good one, so no issues for a while. We will still stay with ADT, just wish additions were not so high. We ended up moving an internal sensor to the external door. All is good.

The installers were competent, on time, and polite. The system works as described, and we have had no problems. I especially like the Pulse which allows me to view the camera and to turn on and off the system remotely.

Power went down following Hurricane Irma. ADT contacted us throughout the day to alert about power trouble. Power restored 14 hours later and somehow activated fire alarm. We were not reachable by phone at that time so emergency contacts were notified and fire equipment dispatched. Happy to know all systems working as they should and apologize to firefighters for false alarm.

Tech was very professional and helpful, the only complaint we have is a check was written to pay for the upgrade and the tech talked to someone which he gave our bank information to complete the transaction. He then told us to void the check everything was complete and paid for. We then received a bill from ADT for the same amount. The original check was never cashed so we canceled it and paid the new bill we were sent. This seems odd. Thank You Cathy.

I first became aware of ADT's products, monitoring service and support while in the Army. ADT was in the lead by providing the most advanced, computer assisted line security, remote monitor queries rate per minute, rapid notification of MP station when activations occurred with the monitoring personnel working with us till alarm activation was resolved. When I wanted a home security service and system, I went to ADT because a check showed they were still the industry leader in sensor design, site placement of local site sensor monitor/control unit, integrated UPS (uninterrupted power supply), line security and multiple queries per minute with the same quality corporate monitoring staff.
Since I have started my service with ADT, ADT has implemented several new automated and remote systems that further improve my home's security. Sure there are cheaper systems offered, but I remember the old saying is, "You get what you pay for." I know what I am getting from ADT, peace of mind that my home security is being watched over by the best monitoring and support service available on a 24/7 basis. No matter when I have called, and for whatever the reason, a knowledgeable person answered and took care of my needs without referring me to other numbers to call. I am happy with my ADT service.

ADT notified us of a smoke detector going off, right down the line of our call list and then notified the Fire Department in a most timely manner. Spared us of a fire and any damage to our home. Only had lingering smell of smoke for a pot left on the stove but nothing more. I am so thankful to God to have ADT!!!

From my initial call to the tech servicing my camera the process was flawless and excellent. The tech was knowledgeable and also suggested a few new setting for capturing images when alarm is triggered. Also he positioned the replacement camera, he adjusted it to view a larger image area.

It's been a good experience with our alarm system. The employees of your company have been very helpful each time I have called for assistance. The only negative experience has been backup batteries do not seem to last. During our last hurricane Irma the system seemed to go dead after losing power for a few days. Otherwise it's been fine.

Been an ADT Customer for over 15 years. Started with just the beginnings of an alarm system and have moved up with technology. Secure the house with window alarms and now use the ADT Pulse which can be worked through the Echo Dot and with an IPhone or Android. The service representatives in the call center are really efficient and help with any questions or concerns. The service representative who explained the ADT Pulse system was really knowledgeable and I felt at ease learning the system for someone over 60. And the technician who performed the install did a nice job and also was very efficient and knowledgeable. Feel safe, secure and comfortable!

I really like the new false alarm procedure. It gives you the option to put your code in, and receive a call indicating that you have stopped The false alarm. We have had ADT security for a few months now and like the idea that our home is secure when we are away, or even when home and the alarm is set. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we discovered how well it works when I neglected to close one of the doors when running late to an engagement. The police came and our neighbors converged on the house when the alarm went off. Needless to say we found out that it works!

I have the ADT full system with three cameras and contact doors and windows. I've had a service guy come out to repair my camera and put in a new circuit board which he had to put downstairs. The installation team came out originally before I got the cameras and they did a good job with our window and door contacts. They set my alarm to make sure the decibels were high enough so that we can hear it and wake everybody up. I've been with ADT for over ten years now and my experience has been good. ADT's service has been excellent.

We have ADT in New York at our other house and so far, it’s pretty good. They’re on point and you can always get ahold of them. We have the cameras and the digital keypad, interior motion detector, and yard sign. All our interactions with the reps have been very good. Any issues that we had, they’re able to resolve it. I got the basic alarm that includes two keypads and a glass discriminator. The people during the installation were professional. They came and did what they said they were going to do. The service has been great and ADT is very competitive price-wise. I had them since 2004 and I'm very happy with the service. Their customer service is excellent and they do everything they can to keep you as a customer which you don't see very much anymore.

I had Brinks Security until ADT bought them out. Since switching to ADT, I’ve never had any problem and I am really satisfied with their service. There was a time when I got a call from them while I was outside and told me that my alarm has gone off. When they told me where the alarm was coming from, I knew that the dog had set it off. They just put an “ignore” on there until I had time to go to my doctor’s appointment and get back home. Then there were also times when I had to have ADT out to install the sensor again after having a new front door put up and to disconnect a sensor between two rooms after adding a spa room behind our bathroom. I never had any troubles with the technicians that they sent out.

I contacted ADT to reactivate the system that I have in my new house. The salesman on the phone give me the monthly fee around 50$ a month. I told him is double what I was paying for my security system with the same options. He then told me "no it's not that much, it only 1,5 a day, I spend that on a bag of chips!!!"

ADT has been good. A couple of times, I've had problems with the system not turning off and I had to call them. They had to do something at the office with refreshing the system and that didn't work out. I mentioned to them that I've had this problem for a couple of times and they said, “Well, whatever we did, hopefully, it won't happen again.” They've always tried to be helpful. I also had ADT in a previous house that I owned and I have been pleased with them. Plus, I have the mobile app where I can turn the system off or set it anywhere with my smartphone.

I've had ADT since 2002 and they were a little high but they adjusted their price. I have the motion detectors and fire alarms. I also have the windows and door protection which is on a remote. The installation team has been great and I've had interaction with them when I've had problems since then. Six months ago, I found out that my smoke alarms were not connected to the alarm going out to the fire department, so they came out and installed an alarm and put it on the wireless system. I've had some false alarms, wherein the remote was in my pocket and I accidentally pushed the alarm key, but they took care of those. A cop came out but that was handled appropriately. Overall, I've been completely happy with ADT.

I have had ADT for 25 years and right now, everything is good. My alarm system has interior motion sensors and a digital keypad, as well as 3 yard signs. However, my digital keypad doesn’t beep anymore. ADT has been good to me so far and they've been great. They respond on time, the alarm works, and they give me a little courtesy call to ask me if everything's okay. They're great guys. I’ve recommended them to both my sister and daughter. They're very good and I love them.

I got the ADT service when I moved into my house a long time ago. It was Brinks when I signed up. The system was built into the house and we had to activate it. I have the yard sign and the system came with the smoke detector. I'm very satisfied with the ADT service except I see ads that I can get the service for a lower price than the same amount that I've been paying for 10 years. Other than that, they're responsive any time I accidentally set off the alarm so it's all good. The system works, it's easy and doesn't cause me any trouble.

The phone number (800-238-2455) listed on the monthly statement received yesterday for billing question kept playing commercials for a long period of time. It is a waste of time. At the end of commercials, I was given an another number to call which is again controlled by a voice recognition software. Anyway, I was not able to reach ADT customer service through this number and finally I went to ADT website to provide my details to get a callback. It took more than 1 hour to get connected with a live agent. Very poor customer service.

We’ve had ADT since 2007 or 2008 and we got door entry, smoke, fire, and burglar alarms in our package. I’ve had both business and personal and their service is fine. I’m very happy with them, but I wish the costs would quit going up all the time. All in all, they have a good product for the money.

I heard about ADT several years ago and everybody that had it was pleased with their service. So, when I had to make an investment, I called them and I’ve had them for more than 5 years now. They’re very good at telling us when there has to be a change and how to update our control box. When there’s been one problem over the last several years, I called them up and within one day I had somebody there to fix it. I’m very satisfied with ADT and I would recommend them.

If somebody breaks in the house or if we open the door when it's set, the alarms go off. If we open the door, the ADT team calls us very promptly to ask us for our password. We also have one motion sensor installed. When a technician came in and replaced our keypad earlier this year, he was excellent. I just wish we had an accurate user manual for our system. In the 16 years we've had it, the clock is never properly set. We just lived with it since the last time we called about it, they wanted to charge $25 to come and set the clock. The fellow set the clock, but when we tried to change it for daylight savings, the instructions I had didn't work. But we don't use it for a clock anyway. All in all, I would recommend them.

I decided to go with a fresh company when I moved into my new house 12 years ago and my new neighbors who had ADT said it's a good place. I have had service come out two or three times and they always do a good job. They call if I accidentally set off the alarm. But it looks like I have to call them again because the alarm beeps loudly and surreal and I've been getting up every morning at 4:51 to turn it off. It disturbs my sleep. ADT said the backup battery would recharge in two to three days but it's not. Also, their monthly fee for monitoring is out of line with other companies. I could get it for $16.95 with some other company but I want to stay with a company I have trust in.

I am submitting this review/complaint in behalf of my father. This is an unresolved issue from June 2017. On 6/23/17 due to a lightning storm my father's ADT Security system got damage. Since he couldn't afford the repairs and is not bound to a contract, he chose to disconnect the service. However, it has taken me nearly 3 months to have them cancel the service/billing. I've made about 20 phone calls and sent several emails with a cancellation letter as per their request along with my POA so I could deal with this situation and not having to involve my father into this. Unfortunately, I never got a response from ADT.
They claim not receiving anything from me except 1 time they got the cancellation letter which according to them it didn't have a signature. On 7/21/17 I spoke with a manager by the name Mr. ** and he asked me to email him the same letter along with the POA to **. On that day he also stated that ADT will be sending my father a credit of $70+. Every conversation I've had with ADT is a worthless effort, they don't take any positive actions towards our request.
My father never received that credit and is still being billed for a service he hasn't used since 6/23/17. The bill has accumulated to almost $147.00 and because it hasn't been paid I am afraid they file a negative report with the credit bureau, causing an additional problem for my father. I contacted the psc.state.ga.us to see if they can help me with this matter and a representative got back to me with the following statement: "Unfortunately, the GPSC has no regulatory authority over privately-owned security systems. We only regulate the rates of public, investor-owned utilities such as Atlanta Gas Light and Georgia Power. We also give licenses to phone companies to provide residential landline phone service in the state. You may wish to contact the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs at 1-800-869-1123 for help with this matter." I received this email on August 24, 2017 11:24 AM.
On 9/12/17 I called ADT once again to see if they could finalize this situation. However, it was extremely frustrating to deal with the representative. Since the beginning of the call I told her I needed to talk to a manager, she wouldn't transfer the call nor she had a manager come to the line. And as always I got the same response from them: "We haven't received a signed letter", "We need to speak to your father before canceling the service." Since I asked why they haven't got in contact with me after I sent several email with this request, the same representative stated: "Yes we have called but you didn't answer" I told her no one has called me but if they did, they should've leave a message on my voicemail. Her response to that was: "By law telemarketer can't leave messages on voicemails." Today I contacted the Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs of my state, hope they can do something about this.

This is seriously the worst company I have ever dealt with along with their contracted company Defenders. Following a break in, I had ADT home security system installed and I thought everything was going to be secure in my home. I couldn't have been more wrong! The problems started with my dog's bark setting off the glass break sensors causing me to come home from what I was doing to turn off the alarm multiple times. The crappy application was barely functional and so I had no other choice but to come home to stop the beeping to calm my dog down.
Then when I got a call to see if it was a false alarm or a real alarm, the woman I spoke with was incredibly rude! This all happened within 48 hours of getting the system installed so I decided to cancel because I was within my 3 day cancellation window (now I know why the cancellation window is so small!). I was given a fax number and told my cancellation form had to either be faxed or postmarked by 8/28 and so I tried faxing 6 different times only to receive a busy signal. Then I put the signed copy in the mail and they "Never received it"!!! What a SCAM!!! It's 2017, have you ever heard of scanning and e-mailing documents?!! No, because you are trying to scam people into staying with your awful company!
I have been calling and writing almost every day for over 2 weeks trying to get this situation resolved and I will not stop until it is. I finally spoke to someone with Defenders who allowed me scan and e-mail my fax attempts as proof of my cancellation and he scheduled an appointment for someone to remove my equipment. Guess what?! THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!! My husband had to rearrange one of his only days off to wait for this guy who never showed. We even had to pay for our dog to go to daycare because he is not good with strangers. This is hands down the worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever dealt with and I would advise anyone reading this to go with one of the many other options out there!

The representatives were very professional and respectful of my home and my security concerns. In the end, the package cost much more than I had expected. However, the representative did a good job to rearrange things and lower the cost and still keep our home safe. The trouble indicator came on the following day, but the alarm system is working. I need to call in and figure out what the panel issue is. Overall, I was quite pleased with the equipment, installation and the representatives. Again, my only complaint would be the cost.

I've had ADT services for 20 years. We had the security system changed up because we changed the alarm for some windows And then we had it changed to wireless. My husband called and got that going. The installer was good and he seemed very adept.

When we came to Huntsville, we signed on with a local security, Broadview, then ADT bought them. We have outside doors alarm and sensors that if anybody comes in on one of those, ADT will pick up. During installation, their team was on time for the installation of the two new remotes. When I first had ADT, my experience was not so good, but now, I find their service to be excellent. They have improved in the past few years. When I talk to them on the phone, they're really nice and I don’t have any problem. They help me out anytime I need help.

I am very unhappy. I have spent thousands on ADT Pulse items for my home and I pay monthly for service and now the ADT Pulse app has completely stopped working. What's the point in having ADT Pulse if you can't use the app? ADT's Pulse app is the only app out of the zillions of apps I use that doesn't work at all - No other companies have this issue. That is the whole reason I got ADT in the first place. You have got to be kidding me. I want everyone to know. The old app worked fine and then ADT decided it had to give the Pulse app a new look and this newer app from a few months ago didn't work for two days. They finally got it working again and then, since 7 days ago the Pulse app completely stopped working. You can't see your cameras, you can't open your garage door, you can't turn a light on, you can't lock your door, etc. You can't do anything but you have paid for all of this equipment and you get to keep paying for it each month.
Every time I try to use the Pulse app just says "operation failed" and sometimes it says "can't connect to the server". I had the tech out who couldn't do anything. I wasted TWO HOURS on the phone with ADT tech support which was just pointless. All tech support can do is put in a ticket, oh and tech support doesn't work on the weekends which I had called on a Saturday. No one from ADT will call me with an update and I don't even know if ADT is working on the Pulse app because they can't communicate with individuals because they are too big. I.e. NO ONE CARES THAT YOUR PULSE APP DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. The tech told me to keep calling customer service and keep trying the Pulse app every day to see if it works. Really? I am supposed to use my valuable time as a paying customer to keep telling ADT to do their job?
How many times do I have to tell ADT the app doesn't work? Fix the app ADT!!! If your app developers can't fix why don't you hire people who know how to fix it? Communicate with your customers ADT. We are the ones keeping you in business. ADT IS TOO BIG TO CARE. I was told that based on the percentage of problems customers are having is how the techs decide what to fix. But no one can tell me if others are having problems with the ADT Pulse app and what the percentage is and no one can tell me when or if anyone will work on the problem. It is pointless to have ADT Pulse if you can't use the app.
Of course, no one from ADT has called about the ticket I put in 7 days ago. The customers don't matter. No one takes ownership of the issue and there is no one at ADT you can work with directly. Even the techs have to call customer service. What a joke. All I can do is put my feedback on every single site that the app doesn't work and who knows if it ever will.

My family is attempting (for the third time) to cancel and get their refund from ADT as we speak. Their sales were misleading and their reps refuse to transfer the call to a supervisor or manager, after being completely unprofessional and not only continuously interrupting, but hanging the call up! The most terrible customer service! We advised we would contact the BBB, which did not seem to faze anyone - after checking BBB, their negative reviews rate is 94%! Do NOT create this headache for yourself, and stay as far from ADT as you can!

ADT’s service is fine. One time, when I went on vacation, I had to call their customer service and they were able to help me. Their technicians were also good and very professional when they changed a battery for our system. However, the only thing that would be nice is, when they call on your cellphone when the alarm is going off, that they have a caller ID that says “ADT” instead of an 800 number so that you know whether to take it if you're somewhere.

ADT's service has been fine. We set the alarm when we go out and if something makes a big noise it would set the alarm off. I accidentally set off the alarm and they called but I was wondering how long the alarm has to go off before they call you to see if everything's okay.

We had Brinks then ADT took over them. The only time we've ever used them was when we didn't get to the alarm on time. But every time we've had to call, which has only been two or three times, it's never been a problem. I would recommend them.

I have the interior pad and the keychain remote from ADT. I also have their app on my phone. So far, I'm happy with them. I've had a false alarm twice. One time, we thought we had an intruder. My mother lives with us and she was wandering around. I told them there is someone breaking into the house. It's impressive how fast they contacted me and got the authorities here. That's good. Plus, all of my interactions with their people have been positive. Having had a false alarm, it's reassuring when I get to bed at night knowing that I'm going to be safe.

When we moved into the house 13 years ago, the guy that was telling us about all the different amenities told us about ADT. We got all the features included in the service package – the post box, windows, and doors. The installation went smoothly and their team was professional and courteous. Whenever I talk to the sales reps, the experience has always been pleasant. Sometimes, when I accidentally set off the alarm, they call right away to check and make sure it’s not anyone breaking in or to see if everything is okay. They're very efficient.

I’ve had ADT for about 14 years and I don’t do much more than, turn the alarm on and turn the alarm off. One time, we had a lightning strike and they came on out. They replaced some parts and they did what they’re supposed to do.

We did a lot of research before we got our home alarm service. We originally bought it from Brinks then ADT took over that company. We have the heat sensors, the home alarm, the keychain remote, yard signs and door signs. Their service has been wonderful and great.

I’ve been with ADT ever since I bought my house which was 16 years ago. My alarm system has the digital keypad and ADT yard sign. Anytime I have had to call, the reps have all been courteous and very nice. I never had a bad experience with them. The installers have been able to do what they’re supposed to do so no problem there either. ADT is a good company. I like their product and the way they do business. I love them so I’m here for the long haul. I don’t plan to change but people call all the time so I would say, “No. I have an alarm system. Thank you.”

Despite paying for ADT fire and security alarm/monitoring for nearly two years, when we HAD a FIRE, the ADT smoke alarm NEVER went off (although it was only 5 ft away from the basic smoke alarm that did)! Thank goodness my family was home when the fire started and our cheap battery-powered alarms alerted us to the fire and we could call 911 in time. Besides this fundamental FAILURE of ADT's fire system to protect my family and home, we experienced HORRENDOUS customer service after this event.
My husband and I were insulted, patronized, aggravated, and disrespected on several occasions by the customer "advocate" assigned to us. The company shirked all responsibility and made us feel like this was our fault! Moreover, our requests to speak to the advocate's supervisors to lodge a formal complaint and terminate our service were ignored. Adding more insult to injury, we were still being charged when ADT and we knew that their fire alarm system was not working.

I used to be a Broadview Security customer and when ADT bought them out, I became an ADT customer. A couple of years ago, when I went to have my cameras installed, there was a problem, but that was worked out. Right now, I have cameras, yard signs and the digital pad. But when I first moved here, I would not have used ADT because the people I talked to were not nice and their monthly rate is too high. I called several times and asked if it could be lowered and they said no.

When we changed our TV service, ADT got disconnected and we were not aware of it. The lights would work right on the little box and it would say the front door is open. It does all of those things that I would expect but we were not connected to the central office that would trigger anything if somebody tried to get in. When we set the alarm, it would still beep as usual. It was out for many months and we were not aware but we paid the bill every month. There should be some way that would trigger and say we're not connected anymore. But except for that one experience, we're very satisfied with ADT. The security system does what we want it to do and the people that came out and worked here were fine. We’ve had a couple of things and ADT gave us advice, told us what to do or sent somebody out. They were very helpful.

I came to ADT home security because the "name" even if they have the highest monthly charges compared with other competitors. They advertised as $27.99/mo. The guy came in just cut off my existing system (H&H), to check the signal. Everything was fine so far. After that, I was asked to sit with him to discuss the "package ". I was told that I need to pay additional $7,000 dollars after the credit discounts. Obvious, I can't accept it. Then he offered the alternative option to pay $47.99/mo. I declined as well. The installation terminated. He took off ADT pad. And I asked to re-hook the wires to my existing system. The guy just went out and left my home without security system. This is a nightmare experience that I never had before. What a terrible customer service! If there is an option to rate as zero star, I would do this.

We had a service technician come to our house today because half the time we can't use the Pulse app because of "network" issues. The technician replaced something that pertains to the radio, it worked while he was at the house but now it is not working at all. It is frustrating. We pay money to have a security system that doesn't work at all now. ADT expects my husband and I to inconvenience our employers by missing work so they can come back out. Not happening they can be inconvenienced on Saturday around our schedule. For our inconvenience we were given a month credit. I told the supervisor I spoke with if our house is broken into they will get the bill since our security system isn't working. I cannot wait for our contract to end because I will stay with them. My confidence in ADT has been lost. Thanks ADT.

ADT made an unauthorized charge on my MasterCard. Unfortunately, when initiating service for installation, customers are required to give a valid credit card number. I gave my credit card number which was obviously stored in their system and was charged when my monthly monitoring service bill amount was in dispute. I have already disputed this charge via MasterCard; however, this post serves to warn others about ADT practices. ADT/Defenders (authorized ADT representative) did not coordinate with each other resulting in inaccurate monthly billing. Subsequently, I discovered I was paying my bill and ADT was simultaneously charging my MasterCard. Worst service provider in America. Lawsuit forthcoming as I can substantiate everything that I have written in this post.

I am unhappy about the monthly price increase. We called ADT in the past when they wanted to increase the monthly price and told them of what other companies were charging. They seem to be very grudgingly willing to talk about the price and reduced it. We thought that was a permanent price then it increased again from 16 or 17 to 22. It’s nice to have the service, but there are other companies that do it for much less than that here in Atlanta. I don't think the services are worth $22 and I don't see why we should pay more. I don't think ADT is very competitive.

We did the upgrade with ADT so we could have the camera hooked to it. I was kind of already sold on it when I called a sales rep, so I scheduled the installation. The one guy that came out to install everything was very professional and knowledgeable. Everything has been going well and we’ve been very happy with the service so far. I don't know where to begin. My daughter in Murfreesboro, TN needed to upgrade the security system in her home. When she moved in, the security company told her that it was not possible to install an alarm horn or outdoor cameras. The eaves of her house are very high and the attic did not permit ready access to placement positions. Robert ** from ADT Security Services in Nashville worked for 6 hours one day and recruited Perry ** to help. Both of these installation technicians returned and worked another 6 hours!!! They came up with an solution that really demonstrated their skill, product knowledge, determination to deliver excellent service. These men accomplished what others had failed. They were friendly and maintained their sense of humor when I accidentally unplugged the camera while they were downloading its online installation. Thanks guys!!! You are wonderful!

I've had ADT for about 10 years. I got the yard signs, motion detectors in the house and keypads at three locations. It was one person who did the installation. We’re hardwired all through the attic and down on the walls. It’s quite a job but he did a really good job. I’ve got a lot of screens on the windows so he had to run wires to all the windows in the house as was the doors and the overhead garage doors. Then, I had him come back and install the monitor of the fire detectors. I had him come back again and do the wireless system in.
I’ve got nothing but good memories with ADT. It couldn't be better. I set my alarm off by accident in the morning quite often and right away, I get a call. It was set off twice in the middle of the night and not by me. I didn’t turn the alarm off and a live person called. I told him to call the police because I didn’t know what was happening. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve had other alarm companies come by wanting me to take a business with them but there’s no way I would change. I absolutely recommend ADT.

I tried telling an ADT rep that I was having problems with the door closing but she started to be a little bit inconsiderate, let me know the alarm had gone off and that I was subject to charge by the fact that the police have to come out to the phone. It was quite irritating as she wouldn't understand or hear my side of the story. At one point, I was at the brink of getting another company because I was so disturbed by that person who received my call. But I called another time and got another person. Then they sent the technician out who was very nice and made up for all of the ills. He took care of the problem and I haven't had it since. So far, ADT gets the job done and my home is secured and that's enough.

Just letting the public know that these people WILL and DO call EVERYONE you know WITHOUT authorization if you are late on your bill and disclose all of your personal info!!! I had been with them for 9 years and I am am going thru a divorce and my (husband) closed our checking account in which our bill was being drafted and I JUST opened another account, spoke to a girl last Friday telling her that I was not home because I was staying with someone because I just had surgery. I TOLD her SPECIFICALLY that I would call her back THIS Friday to give her the info and SHE told me that I would get a $25.00 credit for setting it up on draft again and that my total owed was $67.00 or some change! Well, I JUST received a text from my daughter's EX husband asking to contact me because this company had been calling him EVERY SINGLE day telling him that my account was past due!!!
First of all, I NEVER gave them his phone number which has been changed since their separation, which I DO NOT even KNOW! AFTER I EXPLICITLY told them I'd call FRIDAY!!! Second, I NEVER gave THEM permission to contact him nor did I give them HIS number! How in the HELL did they know who they were calling and giving out MY info?! For $67.00??? I know that I am putting my business on FB, BUT!!! Can you believe the gall of these damn people?! SO! CUSTOMERS, BEWARE! I don't know how they got this info or who gave them permission to call whomever, but... heads up...they are vicious and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I AM REPORTING THEM to the BBB!!!

Customer service for ADT has to be the worst that I have ever experienced! They neglected to take down proper information when making an appointment. I asked to have the technician call on my cell to let me know that he was coming so that I could be home. He called my home number because that is what the representative wrote on the order. Needless to say, I missed my appointment. Also, when I called, the representative pulled up the wrong account because she put the wrong number in to look for my account. Makes me wonder how well our home is being monitored!
My next appointment was between the hours of 8 am-9 am. Again, after speaking to a manager to make sure that they had my cell, he called on the home line. He also showed up at 9:45 am. So much for having an appointment between 8-9. I called ADT corporate to express my frustrations and got excuse after excuse for these actions! Poor service. Looking for someplace else to take our business!!!

Both men were courteous & efficient. Drew did the installing & Mark explained everything as it was happening. Once Mark had someone on the phone to activate the system explained what was happening along the line., explained how to work the sensors on the windows, doors, etc. So far so good. Haven't had any false alarms yet (keeping fingers crossed!).

We're very happy with our service from ADT. We bought our house almost 30 years ago. My wife was going to be by herself with the kids so we called Brinks Security, whom ADT bought. They sent somebody over, went over what we needed and we installed the system. We saw a technician a few years ago because our line was outdated. He came in and put a new pad and new wiring. He was a very nice and professional guy. I even recommended ADT to my son and he got it installed too.

I have made a number of attempts to cancel my contact with ADT. Each time I am left on hold for 15-20 minutes. When I do eventually get through I am "disconnected" mid phone call. I ring back only to be told I have to start the process again!!! Then something "disconnected" and have to ring back and start again. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM AS THEY WILL NOT CANCEL THE CONTRACT WITH YOU AND WILL KEEP TAKING MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT.

We had a dispute over the price of our security system with ADT. I wanted them to put a security doorbell so I called them. Their rep said that I’d get two free keypads if I choose their Pulse System. I asked for smoke detectors instead and he said it will cost $100 each. I ordered four. I also wanted a siren outside because the last one I had didn’t work. He said that will cost $90 and I told him I’d pay for that. He never mentioned any other money and he said that they would just add the doorbell to my payment each month. That was fine by me.
When the installer came out, he did a great job putting it all in and got it working. He gave us a paper to sign. We paid $480 for everything. We thought we owe nothing after we paid, but when we got another $500, I called and told them that’s not right. They tried to explain that I was charged because it’s what the system shows. I insisted that their rep had told me the system was free to upgrade, except for the smoke detectors and the siren. I told them they were paid and I had a piece of paper to show.
The lady said it was declined because it’s the way it is. They also got two pieces of paper with my signature, which I denied since the signature belongs to my wife and that’s the one that says we paid $480. I insisted that the line below it says we owe nothing else and there was a circle through it. So we ended up sending it to the dispute department only to find out it was all messed up because it was not what ADT said. It was not what the signed papers are for, but I asked them if they could work with me on that $500 since it was a screw-up on both sides. I decided to take some responsibility even though the two papers I got don’t say anything else.
In the end, they said that the $530 was something to put the system in and then $480 for the other stuff that I wanted. It wasn't what was told me when the rep said he'd upgrade my system. Now it will raise my monthly payment and I'll wind up having to pay another $530. I’m a little mad right now but I’ll get over that. I told them that they could have worked with me by taking $100 off but they didn't. I hope I don’t have to go through this ever again. I like the service and I still enjoy it. I’m a little aggravated but I’ll live through it. They just didn’t want to work with me at all.

ADT came with the house we bought. The previous owner had let the bill run out and so we had to have it turned back on. They came out, checked the system and set it up. At first, it didn't go right because there was a new technology upgrade that needed to be done. But they saw to it that it got done and my satisfaction's very high. Since then, they've double-checked on us and we've had a little bit of feedback with the control desk as we got to know the system and remembered to use it and turn it on. But all in all, its been a very positive experience. Their system works well and I like it. They also gave us a little bonus that if we referred them, we'd be getting more. We're very happy customers.

I love ADT's service. I had a couple of accidental calls when I hit the button but so far, I never had a break in. I have that sign out front and one out back and that probably helps keep burglars away. The guy I talked to when I got their service called a couple of times and checked on me. He was also trying to add on something but I told him that was it for me. The equipment is working but they need a better system when the power goes off. It should have batteries.

My friends have ADT in their houses. I got a service package from them as well and it includes all the sensors for the windows and doors and cameras. The service so far has been excellent. The sales reps have been excellent too. Whenever I have any questions, I call them and they are very prompt.

We recently had a fire in our house as a result of a grease fire in the kitchen. I was in another room, and by the time I got to the kitchen and saw the flames soaring three feet above the stove, the alarm started to sound and my phone started to ring. As my husband was putting out the fire, I was answering the phone to find ADT alerting me to the fire. While I was talking to them, another call came in from our fire department. They had been alerted by ADT and were on their way. It all happened so fast, and it was so comforting to know that ADT had this all under control before I even knew it was happening. I have shared my experience with many others, and would highly recommend them to others. Very thankful and amazed at the phenomenal service!

I just signed up for an appointment with a technician to install a system on my home. He wanted all sorts of information, credit card #, birth date and last 4 of SS# (for an ADT credit check - really?!) - it didn't seem right to me, but he promised all sorts of free equipment. He said he didn't even want the CCV # on the back of the card because the card wouldn't be charged until after the installation. So I went ahead and made the appointment.
Five minutes after hanging up, the charge from ADT appears on my credit card! Well, that was it, I was "outta there". Immediately canceled the appointment, and had the supervisor (that's what he said he was) refund the charge back on my card. Wasted about an hour of good Saturday afternoon time. These guys are high pressure, smooth salespeople. Why can't they just make a sale based on a great security system, great service, honest interaction with the customer and real integrity. I guess some companies just don't think that is important anymore. Too bad.

Lance ** stayed at our home from 9A to 5P, installing and setting everything up just the way we wanted. We were comfortable with the activation process and the cellular uplink by the time he left. There have been no alarms, so I can't speak to response time. We do feel safe & secure. We have not done a test yet, and are a little nervous about doing that.

When I bought my first house in 1998, ADT reps were circulating through the neighborhood. I went ahead and accepted the system. They were also doing a deal that they would install so many sensors as well as a motion sensor and it wasn't going to cost me anything except to start the monitoring process. They got the service technician lined up then they set a date and he came out and did it. So far, so good and and I chose to stay with them because of the comfort and ease of use of their system, as well as the quality of their service. In 2002, I built my second house and the move with ADT was seamless, too.

Bait and Switch from ADT. I am a customer of ADT since 2013. In June 2017 I was offered Pulse for 25.99 per month with a new system installation for 54.99. Technician came at my home and he couldn't install at that time due to gfci switch. I said I will take another appointment later. They started immediately charging 25.99. I called them back again in August 31 after summer vacation to schedule appointment. They said that they will do the installation but billing department told me that now price will 39.99 per month.
I have to ask them to pull back the history from June and they were able to see the offered price. I was told that I will receive a call back on same. I never got a call back. So I called back again Sep 1 i.e today. Now they said they cannot even offer 54.99. My installation is going to $113 (or so) didn't paid that much attention. Also my monthly price is going to be 39.99. By the way it is all recorded in the notes unless ADT (confirmed by agents) deletes it. They will see all the offers in my history. June Price offered 25.99 installation 54.99. Aug 31 Price changed to 39.99 and installation 54.99. Sep 1 price changed to 39.99 and installation 113 (approx). I am not only cancelling their service but also complaining in Better Business Bureau.

I am currently in my second contract with ADT. The first contract, product, and service was great. When I moved recently, I signed a new contract with ADT. The representative that helped me advised that the new contract would replace my existing contract, and that I would receive customer loyalty discounts, etc. I was emailed a copy of this in writing. The installation at the new address took many more hours than it should have. The installer left once without advising us that he would be returning. He took a lot of breaks, and was not professional. We did not feel comfortable with him setting up our system. We do not like the new system that was installed. The one we had at our previous address that was installed two years earlier was user friendly, the alarm was louder, and the glass break sensor was not constantly false alarming like the new one does.
About a month ago, I found out that ADT had not disabled monitoring service at our previous address, and they were still billing me for it. I had called customer service on three different occasions prior to this and each time I was insured that the alarm was disabled and that account was no longer active. I spoke with a local rep who advised me that the same thing was happening with a lot of customers, that the files were not being merged when a customer moved and re-signed a contract. He tried to remedy this himself, but was unable, so he advised me on what to do and told me that he would check back in a week to make sure everything was taken care of. I called customer service as he advised and explained what was going on and what I had been instructed to do by the local ADT rep. The agent seemed to understand, but advised me that I never called to have my system disconnected at the old address.
I advised him again that I had confirmed the disconnection three times since. He said that regardless the account was then closed and I only had the account at my new address open. The local rep never called me to check on things. Tonight I checked my online account and my old address is still listed and shows a current monthly balance. Once my contract is over, I will never again do business with ADT.

ADT's rep came to my door and the guy's initiative led me to sign up with them. I have the system installed 17 years ago and I recently had to have a new horn put in. Their reps walked in here, did the job, walked out, didn't charge me a dime. Everything I've had done has been done right quickly. I've also had questions so I've called up and got excellent customer service. So far, so good. Every time I forgot to undo the alarm, they called me right away.

I got vandalized and I heard of ADT. I've had it about four years and I have two buildings that are protected along with the house. A contractor put the system in and it was a good. I have the motion sensor in the middle of the hall and the wireless keychain remote with the little buttons that you push when you're outside. We try to be very careful with not setting the alarm off, but we've done it four times since we've had it. For example, we would forget the garage is locked and unintentionally set the alarm off.
One time, I cleaned the house and took off the fire alarm thing. They responded quickly, asking if the house was on fire, and they told me I couldn't take that thing down. When the alarm goes off, the ADT team is always Johnny-on-the-spot. They would call this house wanting to know if we're okay, if the house is on fire or if we've been broken into. They are also good about testing the system when I want to test it. The only thing I would suggest is for ADT to keep the calls down. Other than that, I'm sticking with the dance with ADT. I love me some ADT now plus my sister has it too.

Not at all satisfied with ADT. In just 1 week of installation having problems. My payment is 27.99 took out $52.00 from my Credit Card. Had to Monitor ADT instead ADT monitoring my house. Asked for paper billing to keep track, was charged $1.00 extra for paper billing which I was not disclosed to me prior. Asked for my Credit Card # and was put on file, not letting me know of additional options available. After installation I was disclosed the information of 3 years contract lock in. Was told everything was free with installation. To my surprise each window cost $ 40. Business gimmick. Still does not have a plaque for my home. Service lousy.

Our ADT system was put in several years ago and we’re happy with it. We have door and window breaking sensors and smoke sensors included and the service has been excellent. The installation went fine and the guy who did it was very efficient and he put the stuff in with no big destruction. Everything was explained through the installation and the user book. ADT is on the job. They even email me when things are wrong.

ADT service is terrible. Always there is signal problem and give false alarms. They advertise money back guarantee but that scheme is just to cheat customers. There is big difference between ADT dealer and ADT corporate. The dealer signs the contract with us and install equipment and never help to solve problems. We need to run behind ADT corporate to solve problems. ADT are so smart to play with customers - I as a customer cancels ADT alarm monitoring system under 6 month money back guarantee. Then, ADT dealers sent customer name to external collections to collect money as per contract whereas ADT corporate issues money back under money back guarantee. ADT corporate knows these problems and never solve them by understanding customers.
Never trust ADT and never believe their policies and/or fake money back guarantee as it never help customers trust and their alarms always give false alarms. ADT corporate and dealers just mint money by signing false contracts and you will be chased by collections department only. This review is based on my horrible experience chasing with ADT Corporate and ADT dealer (Safe Home Control).

Since a very bad encounter I had some time ago, I had nothing but great encounters with everybody at ADT. I have Pulse and the normal stuff to the call the police and the fire department. I also have the carbon monoxide, the wireless keychain remote and digital keypad that I use all the time. Every time we have something installed, the same guy comes over and he's been great. He's come out for a couple of repairs and has been absolutely terrific. But when we upgraded the first time, a different guy moved our thing to a more convenient place and he took care of everything.
I've been with them so long and I've been very satisfied with their service. But I have twice received a call in the last two months when I was out of state about our burglar alarm going off. The calls came on my cellphone and I was at an athletic event where I couldn't hear my cellphone. It turned out there was no burglary and nothing was disturbed. The motion detector at the back of our house in a great room somehow went off and I don't know why. The repairman said even a spider crawling across the little light could trip it. It's been changed though and a brand new one has been put in.
But my whole thing about it is that I have added two numbers to call if I can't be reached. One is my best friend's whose just five blocks away and the other is my daughter who was where I was at both times when I was out of state and ADT called me. They never got a call at that time even when ADT couldn't reach me. I thought that happened, they're supposed to leave me a message that they'd turn around and call the next number on the list, but that was not done.

My husband has a friend who's had ADT. After they talked about it, because we were not happy with the company that we had, my husband suggested we call ADT. We went with the package in the middle and had the two remotes. The installation guy that came out was wonderful in explaining everything and he was very courteous. Last week, we had an issue where my husband pressed the wrong button and the screen was not what we were used to. When I called, they were able to very quickly help us. Overall, I have been very happy with the service and the installation.

I've had ADT for over 20 years since it was called Brinks. We got a new box and some new keypads as upgrades because the other ones were old and weren’t working properly. I called ADT and they had a representative call me. The she came in here and gave an estimate. She was very open to me saying “I’m not going crazy here. I just want to discuss the work.” So, she made sure that boxes and keypads were replaced, and they updated some wiring.
There were two guys who installed and when they came in, one ran upstairs and one downstairs. They explained everything to me and were friendly and they knew what they were doing. They fixed other issues where the testing wasn’t going through. Also, the battery of the box wore down and they didn’t have a replacement. That's how old the box was. The keypad upstairs used to chime a lot at night before going to bed and my husband gets up at 5:00 and when he used to do the alarm, he used to wake me up in the bedroom. But now they made sure that it doesn’t happen anymore. It was like $500 worth of stuff but now my system works the way I want it to.

ADT has been an awful experience to work with. I was in the process of a move and they shut off my service too early and were horrible to work with to set up in my new location. Once they admitted they made a mistake in shutting my service off too early, they told me they couldn't fix it. It was their mistake. Eventually, they said they would fix the problem, but never did. The people I worked with were clueless to the issue and just gave me standard answers that didn't help.
After all this, I decided to cancel my service altogether. Even that was a hassle. They continue to bill me for a system that isn't resolved and I can't find a person that will tell me what I owe to close out my account. I've been told several times, "You may need to call back in a couple days." Why do I need to call back? I'm just trying to close out my account. Very awful experience. I wouldn't recommend ADT to anyone. There are plenty of other security systems that do and work the same way, but with better customer service.

The volume of the siren when we open or close the door is very low. My husband is hard of hearing and we needed a louder system so he can hear it better. It’s so low that I don’t see how it would detour a robber if ever one comes along. When he forgets that he’s gone through a door and then the alarm comes on, he doesn’t even hear it or realize it until he gets a phone call. But we had an excellent service that day we had the system installed. We are set up with a two-year contract and so far, it’s been great.

I was appalled the first time I got woke up at 8am to a call from ADT. After finding out it was for a update... I told them not to call me again before 11am. Now 5 more times I get calls at 8am from ADT... and a 6th today at yep... 8am on a Saturday! Guess who cancelled service today and will warn the world of this ignorant behavior. Not to mention the installer was lazy, plugged this huge plug adapter In at a plug that was at the end of my steps. So everyone hit it or kicked it on accident (3 kids)... not in a good location at all.

ADT was the first co. I contacted to get a quote. After hearing their terms, I told the sales women I was going to shop around. She immediately said her manager could help me with some things that could lower costs. The manager told me I could get what we agreed on for under $30.00... 27.99. I told him I did not have a landline. He asked if I had internet and I explained I had Spectrum. So he led me to believe he could hook up through the internet.
When the Tech arrived, his papers had the cost of the $48.00 original cost I initially turned down. There was no compromise. This tech came from 80 miles away, was able to add some equipment to my house, but no compromise on cost or time commitment. Was this a scam to get into my house or real? I had it installed and cancelling my internet for 6 mo. out of the year to balance costs. Hope the Service is as the tech promised. I will continue with this review in 1 year.

I had Brinks originally which merged with ADT, and I just merged right along with them. I have the alarm system with glass breakage and window and door sensors. All has gone well with their staff. Weve had ADT for so many years. We got six sensors for windows and doors. However, two cameras were supposed to come free with the package that we bought but we never got those. Everything has been good with the exception of not receiving our cameras. During the installation, one man came and he did a really good job. He knew his job well, went from one point to the other and was in and out in a short period of time. We've only had a couple of alarms go off. Once was because the door jarred loose after we left and the other was when we have a window open in the laundry room and the wind from outside made the sensor go off. We leave our dogs outside and we've never had a problem with that because ADT explained to us at first that we couldn't have bigger animals inside. We've been completely satisfied with ADT and have recommended them to several friends.

I could not be more pleased by the customer service support I received for resetting my alarm code. ADT is absolute perfection in all areas. I would recommend ADT to everyone. Even when I removed the batteries in the smoke detector, I received a call to ensure that everything was alright.

When I purchased my cell phone my home was in a dead zone with ATT - so they provided a micro cell to solve problem. After ADT added a radio receptor I began to receive Messages from ADT that I had a battery problem. After sending out a service rep I was told the current ADT radio could not work with micro cell - had to disconnect - Hence can't use cell phone in house. Looking for a new security service provider.
Hello J.F- We are sorry for the trouble this has caused you! We have located your account and see that the micro cell in your home was interfering with the services you receive from ADT. With the device powered down, your services with ADT were able to be restored.
Since you have indicated that you live in an AT&T dead zone, it may be a better option to obtain a different cellular provider.

Thank you ADT for such a quick response to my needs. I was cooking on grill and fire started. ADT fire/smoke alarm notified ADT immediately and fire department was here within minutes. Fire had not traveled far but so happy I have them to monitor my residence.

I really am glad that I chose ADT for my security. I use it almost every time I leave my home. It is so easy to work and I do feel good about having it. The fellows that installed my security system were very cordial and explained everything to me and my daughter and John did test me to see if I understood everything he explained and that was a good test to do and I passed. Thank you again for doing a great job!!! It makes me feel more secure.

ADT used to be Brinks when they first started two years ago. I have their fire and police features included in my service package with them and I'm pleased with it. They really seem to be on top of things when the alarm goes off, calling and following up. They’ve been consistent and reliable and I've appreciated that. I'd recommend them.

Beware the 36-month contract. Even if you are required to move, you will be charged 75% of the remaining monthly monitoring fees in your 36-month agreement which it clearly states back on page 4 of their standard agreement. If you try to engage them, you will be met with robotic and dispassionate responses that they have all been well trained to deliver. "You signed a contract" is all you will hear. As a 21 year veteran who was often ordered to move my family after less than 36 months in one location, I can't help but feel their position and robotic uncaring responses is completely unacceptable in a world of many choices in home security. We would not use them again and strongly recommend you do not.

ADT is always dependable. Everyone I've dealt with has been pretty good. Also, installation was quick - it was pretty much within five minutes of the salesman. I’m highly satisfied with the monitoring service that I got for my home. Everything's been good, so far.

I was not happy to learn that the service that I thought was being transferred to my new residence was not to fulfill the original 3 year agreement from the purchase of my previous home. NO! It was another 3 year contract, 3 LONG years that I am not certain I now want. On top of that, the installer told he me couldn't continue with the installation until I Read and SIGNED the contract that was emailed to me... in the middle of moving. Who keeps up with their email, certainly not me. I had to stop unpacking, log into my email account on my phone (since my desktop wasn't working yet), find the aforementioned document and sign and send it electronically. NO, I am not happy. Communication from the beginning would have saved a lot of frustration on my end, and likely retained me as a customer when my obligatory contract is finished.

Equipment & cameras do not work on consistent basis, which causes my home to be unprotected frequently & long periods. Requires frequent repairman visits to my home for long periods of time, which is inconvenient for me. Recently, was told by ADT repairman that ADT had sold a product that does not work. I paid a high price upfront for security equipment & cameras but equipment & service is not dependable. If I change to another home security company I would have to buy new equipment & cameras so I'm stuck with ADT & they know it so they don't care about customer satisfaction.

I'm very satisfied with ADT. A bunch of people on the street had their system and we figured we’d get it too. I got a remote, a keypad, and the ADT yard sign. Their reps were able to answer all my questions and were always pleasant to talk to. The installation team also showed up on time and finished their job in a timely manner. ADT has given me excellent service so far and I'm staying with them.

I bought a house in January 2017 which came with an ADT sensor system that I planned to do a significant renovation on within 6 months. ADT confirmed the sensors and system worked correctly. Knowing that I only needed monitoring of the house for less than 6 months I specifically asked if I could activate the service and then cancel with one month's notice which the sales representative indicated wouldn't be a problem; they didn't mention the 2 year contract or $800 cost to exit the contract early!
It's extraordinary to believe that the 'contract' they asked me to sign was a screen they showed me at the time of their visit (saying, "Here is the monthly cost just sign in the box...") and didn't mention the 2yr commitment! Having spoken to customer service only option is to pay the $800 or defer for 2yrs and re-install in my new house... Why would anyone use them again if they conduct themselves this way.

I have been an ADT customer since December 2016. When I signed up for the service back in 2016 I paid the installation fee ($99 plus taxes) prior to the arrival of the technician and few days later when the technician arrived I selected to be enrolled in the Pulse plan. After discussing pricing and different options with the technician I paid the amount that would cover the difference between the promotional package as well as the fees necessary to obtain any permits necessary in my city ($131 plus taxes). Again the technician assured me that ADT will take care of the paperwork, permits and everything else.
Fast forward to August 2017 I received a letter from the city of Fort Worth stating that if I don't have a permit the police won't respond to the alarm. I wasn't worried because I assumed ADT had already taken care of this permit when I first signed up but I decided to call them anyway just to make sure. To my surprise the lady told me that I didn't have a permit in my address, in fact someone had applied for one at the beginning of August but never completed the application. That someone isn't us because we didn't do that.
I called ADT and Defenders customer service yesterday on 08/18 to explain the situation but received nothing but a horrible customer service and talked to people who couldn't care less. I feel like I was cheated all this time and had a piece of plastic on my wall that was never intended to keep my family safe in case something bad did happen. I hope someone can look into this matter and help me find a resolution soon, otherwise I will take all necessary steps including legal actions to fix the situation.

In May 2017 I contacted ADT to set up a consultation for a home security system and exterior cameras. On June 3 a representative in an ADT uniform came to the house and we agreed to have a home security system installed along with 4 exterior cameras. Approximately, a month later we were having problems with one of the exterior cameras being offline. We contacted the technical support department and were told a technician would have to come out and service the camera. Jeff, an ADT representative from the corporate office, came out on Monday, August 7. He indicated that he could not service the camera because our account was with Defenders (ADT’s subcontractor – a company I did not contact nor agree to do business with). He also indicated that the reason we were having issues was because the cameras installed were interior cameras and they were getting wet.
We contacted Defenders together and were informed that a Defenders’ technician would have to come out and verify which cameras were installed and that Defenders do not carry exterior cameras. The technician that installed our system initially never informed us that ADT didn’t carry exterior cameras, nor that he was with Defenders as a contractor, rather than an ADT employee. Had we known our contract was being sent to another company, we would have gone with a different provider.
On Saturday, August 12 Matt, a Defender technician (wearing an ADT uniform), came to the house to verify they were interior cameras and was willing to uninstall the cameras and refund our money. I told him not to do anything that I would contact ADT’s corporate office to resolve the issue. On Monday, August 14 I contacted Wanda **, Jeff’s superior with ADT corporate, to have them replace the incorrect, faulty cameras to exterior ones and was informed they did not have our account (because it was with Defenders) and they could not install the cameras or make any changes to our system installation.
On August 16, after many frustrating hours on the phone with both ADT and Defenders, Cierra from Defenders, cancelled our contract without any penalties and was told that a full refund would be issued ($2,097 for the equipment charges; $105 for the installation fee; $270.12 for the monthly fees and $20 for the registration fee with the County), for a total amount of $2,492.12. This does not include the cost of necessary repairs due to the running of the lines from inside our home (through drywall and exterior siding), to outside, which are now not being utilized. Our service was canceled on August 16, however; a refund has yet to be done.
ADT mispresented themselves with their service contract and technicians. At no point did I ever contact Defenders to install and/or service my equipment, nor was I advised that I was being contracted out to them. ALL representatives were in ADT uniforms, the charges to my credit cards state ADT and my contract and receipts all have the ADT logo. In my aim to resolve this matter however, ADT has refused to own responsibility. It's been a frustrating experience and I do not recommend them.

Nice brand name and the system was acceptable for periods of time but we had many outages. I believe we had people come back to our house 3 times and did 10 plus phone service calls when there were outages. After moving to a new home, we tried again and had many of the same issues. We decided to switch to SimpliSafe which has been much easier to use and flawless.
Maybe we had bad luck but ADT would not allow us out of our contract even though we told them that there were issues and they had a record of it. I guess we have no choice but to pay. Very disappointing experience. If you are considering the system, look closely at the contract so you don't buy a flawed system and have to pay for nothing. People were fine on the phone but the policies are very slanted to ADT and it seems like making money is more important to them than customer satisfaction.

We’ve known ADT for years and have been very happy with them. We've got lots of stuff from them and the service has been excellent. The sales reps were great. They’re friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. The installation team was great too. They came on time, got the equipment in and explained it thoroughly. They also cleaned up after themselves. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. They were very professional and that's good enough.
