We are very pleased with ADT! The peace we have knowing that we have them available 24/7, is very reassuring. Sometimes our alarm will go off before we can stop it. ADT will call right away to see about the situation! Thank you ADT!

We feel so much safer having the ADT service and really we don't live in a bad neighborhood - it's just for peace of mind. ADT customer service reps are very friendly and you get calls right away if your alarm is set off. I've done it by accident twice now. Great price, great service, I'd definitely recommend!

ADT came out and installed the alarm and camera, everything has been working fine with no problems. The Technician did good work, clean up after himself, check all the equipment and went over with me on how to use it properly.

I have found that ADT has done every thing that they promised. This has made us feel safe knowing we are secure and our property is protected from break-ins. If the alarm goes off we are call in a very short time. The service is outstanding for the price knowing the someone is watching you home.

Alarm kept beeping with trouble codes appearing on the screen. New battery had been ordered and installed by customer who left one wire unconnected to the battery. Technician came as scheduled and promptly determined that a loose wire was responsible

I am disabled and needed access to my home via an additional door which would require resetting the keypad and allowing the alarm extra time before sounding. I asked for a three minute delay on one door and another door to remain at the present setting. I called ADT and spoke with a very courteous and helpful lady (Skyler ?) who in turn directed me to the appropriate division. After explaining what I needed, an appointment was made and a gentleman came to my home to service the keypad. And he appeared at the appointed time and called when he was on his way. He identified himself and began his work immediately, after donning protective covers for his shoes. He was courteous, knowledgeable and careful. He worked in a seamless fashion identifying what measures to take and did not waste a minute. He make the changes to the keypad and also reattached a loose sensor. I am completely satisfied with his work and his demeanor. Thanks, ADT serviceman and service center!

The cameras are not as controllable as expected in order to adjust the motion. Didn’t know we had to pay extra for the ring doorbell camera and motion on a monthly basis to keep all the features we started out with.

I love ADT and knowing that they are on top of it even when we accidentally set it off. With the break-ins we had prior to having ADT, I feel safe and secure in my home again. I would highly recommend to anyone that owns a home.

I've only had the service a month or so. 4/2, we started getting errors that would set off the alarm, but no call from ADT. 4/3, we went to bed. The alarm kept going off saying the front door was open. I couldn't get Pulse to connect. I manually cut off the alarm and went back to bed. It went off again. Around midnight, I called ADT. The lady was very nice and apologetic. We tried to go through the troubleshooting. She wasn't getting a signal and still didn't after unplugging and restarting test. As instructed, I went to the transmitter. It was dark showing no power to the transmitter. The lady promised a service tech would call to set up an appointment within 24 hours. I went back to bed. The alarm kept going off!!! I got up again and called again. That lady said to power it down and leave it unplugged. I did and was finally able to go to sleep.
We heard nothing from a tech. 4/4 around 9:00, I called again. This time I talked to a man. He was extremely flippant when I explained the issue. I asked why I'm paying ADT to monitor my house but they didn't realize they weren't getting a signal from my house. He said they were getting a signal. As proof, they called with it went off on 3/25. I said that was over a week ago! He said, "It did work." I said, "but when it stopped working, you didn't notice." He said, "ADT DID notice" and notified me yesterday. I'M THE ONE THAT CALLED ADT! NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. He gave me a number and said if I didn't hear back, I could call that number. My question is whatever happened to customer service!?!? I'm a new customer. I had better service with CPI. However, when we moved, ADT was recommended. If your service doesn't quickly improve, I'll be going back to CPI.

An ADT Authorized Dealer is an independently owned and operated company. They install and sell alarm equipment, but do not provide a monitoring service. They partner and contract with us to provide a monitoring service to their privately acquired customers.
For these reasons, at least for the duration of your 90-day, ADT would not service the location. You would need to contact LVD concepts at 866-203-7387 to service you. They will be able to schedule with you directly. ~Tréchell

I did receive a call to make sure everything was okay, although it was automated. Would have liked an actual person. At least they were aware that the alarm went off. I do feel safe with ADT. I would recommend ADT to friends & Family.

The installation tech was GREAT! Courteous and diligent and accomplished all that I requested. My system was upgraded to Pulse and he installed 3 cameras and a Ring doorbell and also install a cell data antenna for the alarm. He also showed me how to operate the system options.

ADT does a very good job monitoring our home security system. The customer service is friendly and always makes sure they answer any concerns that I may have. They are willing to walk me through processes to ensure my system is working properly and quick with repair requests.

ADT has made me more relaxed about travel. Not worried about the house when away. More at ease! I would love to get a discount for being a long time customer. Sometimes you have nice offers for new customers and the current ones can't take advantage of.

I would recommend to a friend. I've been with ADT for many years and I am happy with the system, their mobile app and the monthly fee. The mobile app works well and is easy to operate. Technical support is great and available 24/7.

ADT has always been responded whenever I hit the wrong button, or a power outage. I have been very satisfied with their service. The remote that sets the alarm has come in very handy, I would like to have a backup but they are a little expensive.

I have had to call the 800 number a few times and they are always helpful, polite and I never get put on hold. It's also always a human that answers. I haven't had any problems with my system and it's super easy to use.

ADT has provided very good service. Always very friendly and courteous when my smoke alarm goes off. They are always right there when I call. I was able to add to my system with minimal cost. My insurance discount paid for the install within a few months.

I had an unusual question and the people answering the phone did not stop (talked to 3 of them) until I had the answer. They were absolutely charming and would not quit until they felt I was satisfied. I wish that I had written down their names.

I am very happy with my new service. Greg was friendly and knowledgeable. I had to call at a later date and ask how to change the code and the person on the line was friendly and explained the procedure clearly. I like the door makes noise when it opens.

When I moved into my home, my security system was from Brink's. Brink's then gave my contract to some other company and then ADT bought it. I’ve been with ADT through their affiliates since 1999. Their reps have been very cooperative and helpful. We have four pets, so, when we leave, we always have the motion sensor off. A couple of weeks ago, I had gone to the vet and my wife was still here. She had some problems with arthritis in her fingers. She pressed the motion off button and left. Then, I got a call that the alarm has gone off. ADT let me know and they notified the authorities. When I got home from the vet, a man came rushing over. There were already two cop cars here. So, they did what they’re supposed to do and what we’re paying for them to do. I was very happy with that and if it happens at night, I have no problems.
We’ve been living here for a while, over 18 years and it’s the first time that ever happened. It was just a little hard for my wife to push the button in all the way. The problem is that the keypad, we had it since we moved here in 1999. It was old or maybe the contacts weren’t making proper contacts. But it was replaced and everything is good. I even test it out at night. I’ll have the motion detector off and I’ll raise my hand and I can see the lights blinking from red to green, so it’s working. I would highly recommend ADT.

Billing procedure was complicated and unclear but the overall service and system is working well. It appears that charges have been put on my credit card without a good explanation for the charge. I have to call the billing department to clear it up.

The woman who called was very professional and inquired as to my safety. I assured her there was no problem, simply a mistake. She inquired several times to be sure there were no problems. I'm sure she could tell from my voice that I was not upset or in great fear of being attacked.

All ADT technologies are working every day to meet my needs. I would recommend ADT SECURITY SYSTEMS over all other systems for its technical reliability and monitoring services. Do not use ADT! They use third party sellers to promote their products and they do not hold these third party sellers accountable for what they say. If you had asked me a few days ago how I liked ADT, I would have given them 5 stars. I like the system features and the install was great. However, when I bought the ADT system, I was promised a $100 Visa Gift card as part of the package. I find out now when trying to collect on it that I am required to send in a cashier's check or money order for $4.95 to get my $100. That's a cost of at least $10 to get the $100. Plus it takes at least 6-8 weeks to get the money. According to many complaints on the web it typically takes much, much longer and some people say they never got it. Finally, if you don't fill out the form within 30 days, you are no longer eligible.
Always be skeptical about any company that has to use practices like this to get people to buy their product. Ironically, I feel like I just got ripped off by the company that was supposed to be protecting me from being ripped off. ADT - You are a reputable company, but your third party promoter "Defenders" says anything to get people to sign. They use double talk and confusing figures. They outright lie. This $4.95 fee is a sleazy business practice. Oh, and when I called you about this, I was told I had to talk to them. When I called them, they said that this was their policy, that they never change it and that I couldn't talk to the customer service supervisor about it, because they already get so many complaints.

We have had service with ADT over four months and are very unhappy with the recent events that are making us chose to leave your company and being told that we can’t have our money back. In November of 2017 we had sales rep Jackson ** come to our home and present what you all had to offer us. One of big questions for us was there going to an issue with us moving and being able to take everything that we just agreed upon with us. He clearly stated, "No, ADT will gladly take all your equipment with you and reinstall at your new address no issues."
We have moved and set up an appointment with you all again to get this done at our new home. We had now sales rep Craig ** come to our new home and start to tell us that we need to repay everything all over again. We told him that in November of 2017 we paid $1,776.40 to ADT yet he wants us to now pay $1,230 which means within 4 months we are paying ADT $3,006.40. This is ridiculous and we won’t be paying all over again for something we were told wasn’t going to cost us. Plus we’ve had other issues with cameras the batteries not working having to reorder.
Calling your so called customer service line and speaking to countless reps who tell us they are taking notes of our issues and that we will be contacted and so forth. Then WE are the ones that have to call back because we never hear anything back. We are told just have to deal with it. Well we aren’t going to just deal with it. You all clearly state a 6 month or less money back guarantee and that is what we are asking so we can just leave your company and go elsewhere with our business. We are very prepared to get our lawyers involved if it needs to go farther than speaking to you.

Provides sense of security with professional staff and tries to stay ahead of the would be thieves and means of circumventing alarm systems. Equipment is reliable and battery lasts a long time. They have responded to my service calls and twice have called me when I came home and opened the garage and exited out the back door which has a sensor to tell me the alarm went off. I apologized for my mistake and pressed the disarm button on my key fob.

I called regarding which kind of battery was needed to put into my handheld alarm. The male agent told me I would not need one for 5 years. He also asked for my code and when I could not remember it, I asked if it was a name or word. He said it was a word, which threw me off more, as I usually choose a pets name. He offered to send me the answer and he did. The code was my pet's name. I could not help but compare this agent with a previous one, a male also, who was outstanding in his efforts to help me.

We have two ADT installations and have had fine experiences with them both. When a signal was sent to ADT we were contacted immediately and the situation was discussed and the dispatching of the police was prompt and effective. The final review indicated that the signal was likely related to a power surge at the home and unrelated to any invasive force.

I turned on the alarm as I usually do when I leave the house forgetting that I had house guests. Of course, when they got up the alarm went off. ADT called and was able to help them by canceling the police who were likely on the way to the house. Thank you for responding quickly.

I have been very pleased with my system. I have not had one problem with it and I we have had it for I'm guessing over 5 years. I love knowing that no one is going to enter our home unwanted without that alarm going off. And the police are literally only blocks away. Talk about peace of mind. I couldn't have that without ADT! I called to check if there was a lower monthly rate. Customer service informed me that there were no specials at this time. I was not happy with the answer since I feel that there are other security companies that charge less for the monthly service.

I was very unhappy with the technician and he was trying to sell me more than your advertisement. Selling me stuff that I did not need and I told him to take all the equipment out of my home. Then he got a supervisor and I was able to negotiate the deal on my needs.

I was at church when my alarm started for glass breakage. Thus, you could not get in touch with me. You promptly sent the police to investigate. I do not know what caused the alarm, but appreciate your taking care of the problem.

Continuous and quick acting monitoring by the watch staff is very professional and always helpful. Using the Pulse System is very useful for remote monitoring when traveling away from home.

Just nine months ago, we moved from a 'Protection One' property to our existing home - which we completely remodeled. (We had you put in a top-of-the-line system - including Ring doorbell & cameras.)... The difference in service level, system sophistication, technical support expertise, innovative systems, etc is PHENOMENAL. Keep up the great work.

After moving into our home, we saw an ad on the TV with Danny White for an ADT system. I thought everything was reasonable and called to get the system and had it installed. Since the installation, and entering the subsequent contract which we have no issue with, we have received multiple mailers for ADT systems with more options/equipment for lower prices (including one that is less than HALF of what we are paying). My wife and I are frustrated every time we receive a mailer for a system that is better than what we currently have for less than we are paying.

I returned from 2 weeks out of the country to discover my alarm had been activated in my absence. To avoid unwanted international charges, my smartphone was only set to access free wi-fi for emails. Upon return I immediately saw that ADT had made notifications to my landline and cellular voicemails and not getting a response had sent local law enforcement to check my home. Fortunately, it appears to have been only a window sensor problem, a combination of a weak battery and the window not being completely latched before I left and probably reacting to wind. Glad it was not a real burglary, but satisfied that proper actions were taken.

Although I rarely use my alarm system, the service has been beneficial in many ways. I've mistakenly hit the panic button once and ADT was texting, emailing and calling at the same time. I would definitely recommend ADT to anyone especially due to the customer service and response time.

We have a second home in Florida and recently had system upgraded to Pulse. After a technical issue which was resolved with a second visit we are pleased with system and technician which resolved issue. Keep up the good work.

The system works as advertised and supplies security for our home. We receive alerts when any door is opened. If anyone enters the home without permission, the alarm sends a sound, and I receive an email with the door identified plus the date and time of the alert. My telephone application allows me to activate the camera to see activity in my home when I am away.

The tech that came to our house was amazing! He showed us how everything worked and answered all questions that we had. Customer service was great! We did not feel pressured to get anything that we did not want and we were able to see all products that we could use in our new home.

Telephone Contact is always prompt in response to an alert from sensors in my home. Associates are courteous, well mannered and listen to what I have to say. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is that the sensors in my home will often give false alarms.

ADT contacted me when my alarm went off. I was gone for the day. I was told where the motion detector was located that activated the alarm. Fortunately, no one was in the home. Must have been a battery issue.

My security system was down for about a year due to a mistake by their technician. I complained but no one fixed it. I paid for 6 months without service then stopped paying. They finally sent a technician who fixed the system. Many phone calls and emails got nothing done except I was hung up on twice and treated rudely 3 other times. ADT insisted that I pay for the time my system did not work. I told them I would pay now starting with the time the system was fixed and they said I must also pay for the downtime. I told them to discontinue my service and they also refused. They just keep sending me bills and threatening to report me to credit bureaus. I have an excellent credit rating and will just write an explanation with my credit history rather than be bullied by the thugs at ADT. This company is the most unprofessionally run I have ever encountered.

Ran into a problem but called to make sure the installation was done correctly so we weren’t stuck with half done work that would need an another appointment. When you have to take 1/2day off work in order to be at home for the appointment time it can get costly.

I called ADT twice to check on how to disarm the alarm as the floors were to be refinished and windows open at night. I was told ADT WOULD PUT IT ON TEST AND THAT WOULD PREVENT THE ALARM FROM GOING OFF. Well that didn't happen. Apparently that was false information. The alarm did go off and luckily I was in contact with the realtor and floor refinished. How uninformed people responding to your questions are is probably something that impacts ratings for customer service.

I was very pleased with the response to an "alarm" after the recent storm. ADT sent ALL the emergency services to our house in response to a concern. It was a false alarm... The buttons on the keypad were stuck. ADT changed the keyboard immediately. This was in contrast to a fire we had Five years ago, when ADT DID NOT respond at all to a fire at the residence and we lost it. The reps are more alert to the signals than before.

I was quick to call ADT to let you know it was in error that my guest pushed the panic button not realizing what it was. At the same time while I was on the phone with ADT an agent from ADT called. Glad we got the alarm stopped because I did not want to have the police sent out unnecessarily and did not want to be charged for it.

My alarm system was updated with the latest devices, and a wireless communication system was added to eliminate the need for a telephone line to send/receive alerts from the ADT control center. The updates were included at no charge, and I am very happy with the service I received from ADT.

We've been ADT's customer for 20 years and we have door and window monitors, a breakage monitor and the pad from them. Their staff was very responsive when a vibration on the window set the alarm off and we forgot to set the pad. I'm moderately satisfied with the service package I got from them but I don’t think we're getting our dollars' worth. It's ADT's job to update and nobody from them has called. Right now, there are so many out there that are offering so much more for even less money and I am going to look into some other ones.

I've been using ADT for about four years now and their reps were fantastic when I spoke to them once. We had a little bit of a problem during the installation, but it was rectified quickly. Right now, they're fine and I have no problems with them. And if a family member asks me about them, I would tell them to go with ADT.

Hardwired system was evaluated by "technician". Replaced by his system which was not compatible with current codes in Duxbury, MA. My costs were 7,643.88 to reactivate my original system. Still being billed for a system that was never activated and removed as soon as I was notified it did not comply.

I've had them for a long time now and last year, we got a two-year contract during renewal and they did the wireless. My daughter also used them. I purchase a system from ADT but we rarely use it and we don't set it when we leave. But I like it because we have a pool and the system alarms the doors when they open. In terms of our satisfaction with their services and dealing with their reps, everything's fine. A couple of times when I had a problem, I just called in and they took care of it right away. And if a friend of mine asks me about ADT, I will tell them to give them a try.

So far things have not been going well. During the initial meeting, I was strongly persuaded not to use the existing wired system and instead go with the wireless option instead. Against my good judgment, I decided to follow their suggestion. Two days following the installation I had a false alarm telling me the garage door was open and later found out the garage door was closed. The tech came out and could not explain what happened and decided to replace the sensor. I was then sold on additional products that cost three times what I saw on the Internet. I was charged $250.00 for one glass break detector and $299 for an outdoor siren.
Later to find out a glass break detector on the Internet would have cost me $60 and the siren $96. Besides this, I tested the panic alarm and no one from ADT called me. They called me 1/2 hour later to confirm the guard service showed up - they did not. ADT was supposed to call me first, but called the guard instead. I asked to discuss this with a manager but I was put on hold indefinitely. No one ever came back on the line. Later that night around 9:30 PM, 2.5 hours later, the guard shows up. WOW, this is not going well and I'm beginning to think I made a huge mistake deciding to go with ADT. I am losing confidence at every level.

Original system installed 17 years ago and no problems. Upgraded to have some new features recently. Installation technicial was professional, on time, and did good quality work. Due to age of our system and house pre-wired design, he encountered challenges but came up with good solutions. Monthly service is great as well.

We’ve had ADT since we first had our home built 14 years ago. I like the system itself, although we’ve never had to utilize any of the features of it. Also, if we’ve had an alarm go off, we’ve always been contacted right away. Just the other day, I was trying to figure out where one of my little batteries was. I called and they helped me with that. ADT is fantastic. And the banks have them around here. So if it's good for them, then they are good enough for me. We have motion detectors included with our package. And I got my system hardwired here, too. It’s an older deal. ADT's sales representatives are excellent. If my alarm goes off, they call within seconds. Although the installers were great at first, we had a little problem here and there. I had a motion detector downstairs and it was going off all the time. So we moved it and it was still going off. I wanted it put back in but the people from ADT never did it. That was two years ago and I don't even bother calling anymore.
Also, they said my system was obsolete and I have to go with the digital instead of the hardwired. Now, I changed everything to digital in the house but I still got hardwired. So if somebody cuts my phone, they’ll come right to me on my cell phone. I would like to have another sensor but I don't want to spend the money and I didn't want to be bothered with it. So I just left it the way it was. Still, ADT got to be doing well since everybody in my neighborhood has them. I got five people set up right in my area, and they’re all right here within 10 houses.

I previously had ADT in my other house and now I have them in this house. So far, their service has been excellent. I have a wireless system with them and the installer was a wonderful and very nice person. We had two spells due to the weather and he was very accommodating. He also got the flu, plus the video and ring door were on backorder. But he finally got everything installed the Saturday before last.
After the installation, I noticed that ADT keeps on sending alert messages to my email and I never set that up like that. But I got a call the other day about a burglary on my house so I knew they were calling the phone number. But I have to sit down, call them, and update that information. Also, I had to put the power source for my cameras in a very obvious location and when my electrician hired some day laborers, they unplugged it and stole some items out of the house. My cameras didn't catch them going out the front door. But if I had a landline, they would never have been able to unhook anything.

Think long and hard before signing a contract with ADT. In 2016 I signed with ADT because the property that I had move into had a pre-existing alarm system from ADT. They replaced the batteries for the system and it was up and running. Within a month I started getting a fault on one of the door sensors, no biggie check the door reset all good for a while, but the sensor continued to fault more and more. you would think they would follow on that.
Here is the rub, ADT only makes appointments during the week from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturdays by special arrangement. Even though I had repeated faults on the same sensor including a false alarm that brought the police to my home while I was at work ADT never investigated the repeated faults. Pitiful waste of the police's valuable assets. After the false alarm involving a police response a result of ADT hanging up on me because I couldn't give them my password while I was operating a motor yacht for my employer. I find out later that the ADT agent should have asked me two questions to verify my identity, but instead just hung up.
Now I can't get a technician to the house to repair my system because of their hours and Saturday appointments are booked three weeks out leaving my home unprotected now for well over a month. What is up ADT not enough technicians? All the while I'm making payments for service that doesn't work because of their faulty equipment. Hey how about letting me out of my contract because of ADT failure to provide timely service which is part of the contract. No way says the manager after hours of being on hold on several occasions. Only way out is to pay them the last year of the three year contract over 300 dollars!
So I agree to wait two weeks and tell my employer that he won't have a Captain on Saturday morning Easter weekend so I can let the ADT tech in to repair my system before I leave home for two months for my employer's cruise. Risk my Home, Risk my Job, Thanks a lot ADT. Well guess ADT is a no show for that appointment. Called ADT after another 30 minutes and three transfers they tell me their record shows an appointment on April 7th. Strange I would make an appointment when I know I will be at sea?
Home unprotected, faulty equipment, bad customer service, lame hours for technical response. Pretty sure most folks will be at work during ADT service hours, best time for the alarm to be working too! Burglars! if there is an ADT sign there is a good chance the system is not working due to lack of service like mine. I even offered to pay them off just to be rid of them. Instead the account manager conned me into scheduling the appointment the next Saturday the appointment that they never showed up for. If all these thing don't add up to breach of trust for an alarm company I would wonder what would. ADT brags about how good they are over and over again while you're on hold as they string you along with what amounts to service exactly opposite to what you would expect. ADT think about it.

We have motion sensors, doors, windows and a glass break system for monitoring. ADT bought the security company that we were using. Now, our system does what we need it too. We are still looking to make upgrades but ADT has done what we asked them to do. We had a remodeling done and it was wicked expensive to get the modification done for that. Their team had to come out when we were doing the kitchen and the remodelers knocked some wires off. It was also expensive to get ADT to come out and repair those. Still, we've been okay.

We became an ADT customer when our home was broken into about 20 years ago. Early years were fine. When we moved and reconnected it was fine. In the last 6 years, not so much. We received new phone service and for about 3 years after we were under the false pretense that ADT was monitoring our home. Our home was robbed and though the alarm sounded and scared off the thief (after he stole a flat screen) We thought it was odd that ADT never called. So we called them to discover they didn't have a signal coming from our home. We had been paying for service for THREE YEARS without a signal coming from our home! $35 a month. That's over $1,300. No refund.
From that point forward we tested the signal several times and then PAID them to check our signal every month. 6 mos ago we started a remodeling project so discontinued service temporarily. They still charged us $14 a month to hold the service. (What?) When it was time to turn service back on and re-install a keypad in our kitchen we called for service. An unidentified ADT worker showed up at the house who was rude and snappy and clearly didn't want to be here or talk with a woman. He said he didn't know he had to install a keypad, said we needed to speak with sales, because he couldn't do anything for us without the right order form (No customer service. "Let me get someone on the phone and let's get this figured out." Not.).
I called the local sales person who was lovely (Quinton) and was starting to go down the path of setting service back up when my husband and I decided we had had enough. So we called today to end our service. And they tell us they have to turn the service back on for 30 days to end it and charge us $30. Are you kidding me? We don't have service turned on anyway and they want to charge us $30 to turn it off. It's laughable! It's not about the $30 dollars, it is about their inability to listen to the customer, care about the customer, attempt to understand the customer and honor the customer.
On two occasions I called attempting to end my service, I literally begged them to record my conversation and share it with the customer service manager. The service is horrible. I'm in the customer relations business. They've done everything to get rid of me and then want to hit me in the gut on the way out the door. I will never do business with ADT again. And I really hope others read this and hear me, so they don't sign up with a company so selfish and unreasonable. There. I've said my piece.

When communication trouble occurs, the system is unable to "communicate" with ADT. It sends signals, but they cannot reach us, due to the error it is experiencing. ADT will monitor for and respond to any signals the system reports to us; this is why ADT does require that the customer test their system, at least, once a month. Failure in doing so may result in extended communication loss, which we would not be liable for.
Testing the system is a simple process that ADT does not charge additionally for. Upon review, I am not seeing you paid to test your system with ADT monthly, as you had stated.
With regards to the remodel that you have referenced, I see that you called in November, 2017 to notify ADT of this process. You had the option to discontinue the services altogether at this time, but you requested to keep the account open. Since ADT cannot pause services, your monthly monitoring rate was reduced to $14.99 for 6 months, as a courtesy.
We again apologize for your experience and your interaction with the service technician on January 18th. We will ensure that this interaction is reviewed and addressed.
With regards to your decision to discontinue your ADT services, we are very sorry to learn of this. Please be advised that we have reviewed your cancellation request and show that it was processed with an effective date of 3/30/2018; the date you called in on. I've had ADT for the past 2.5 years and had been content with the service until this past month. On March 2, 2017 we had a big wind storm that knocked out the power for over 2 days. Our whole-house generator came on, but after it was on for about 24 hours it set off the carbon monoxide detector at 3am. Although my ADT panel was connected to the generator, the alarm didn't go through to ADT (even though I could see it on the panel) because the phone lines and wifi were still down. That's fine-- we were grateful that the CO alarm had gone off and took care of everything. The next day the panel still showed a yellow "trouble" light. The phone lines were still down, so I called ADT on my cell phone and told them about the CO alarm going off and about the light. I was told that the light would go away once the phone lines were working again.
Eventually the phone lines came back but the yellow light didn't go away. I should have called and told ADT, but life was busy and I never thought it would cause me the trouble that it caused me. A week later at 3 am I get a call from ADT telling me that my CO detector is going off and that they are sending the fire department. I get out of bed and look at my CO detector and panel-- the alarm is definitely not going off and has not gone off (you can tell on the panel if an alarm has gone off) and the panel looks exactly like it did before I went to bed except that the yellow trouble light is now gone. I explained to the woman on the phone that my alarm wasn't going off and about what had happened the previous week and that the trouble signal from the previous week must have finally come through, and asked if she could cancel the fire dept. She said that it was a life-safety issue, so she could not cancel the fire dept.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to one. I explained the whole story to him, only to hear that it was a life-safety issue, couldn't be canceled, and to have him tell me that "Carbon monoxide is tasteless, odorless, and colorless" as though I were some sort of fool who was ignoring a legitimate CO alarm in her home. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor but he insisted that none were available. So I got nowhere with him and had to wait for the fire department to come out at 3:00am so that I could tell them that my alarm was not going off and that ADT had completely wasted their time. I don't so much mind my time getting wasted, but it is NOT ok to waste the time of the fire department, which may have a legitimate emergency to respond to. I live in the country, so it's at least a 20-30 minute drive for the fire dept to get to my house, and then they have to drive all the way back.
I was still angry the next morning, so I called ADT again and explained the situation; I was transferred to a man and explained the whole situation again. He pretty much had the same response as the original supervisor I talked to so I asked his name and it turns out it was the same guy, who never bothered to tell me it was him until I said "aren't you the same guy?" I called again later and spoke to a woman who said she was from HQ and that she would review the tapes and get back to the employee if anything was done incorrectly. I don't know if the employees are misinterpreting the company policy or of the policy just doesn't tell them what to do if they're getting an alarm signal but the alarm isn't actually going off in a person's house.
I feel that I had a perfectly reasonable explanation for what was happening and should have been listened to and the fire department's time should not have been wasted. I take CO very seriously and would never hesitate to have the fire dept come if my alarm was actually going off, but in this situation it was just a waste of resources. ADT should have a little more respect for their client's intelligence and ability to determine if they're actually in danger.

I was completely satisfied with my experience with this company. I called to have an alarm system installed after receiving threats to my family. The normal wait time would have been about a week but as soon as they found out my situation they got someone out the next day. The man who installed my system was super professional and also scanned the house for any spots that could be weaknesses. They helped me pick the system that would give me the best protection and practically bent over backwards to help me afford it because my family was also going through financial difficulties at the time.

About four years ago, we had an incident on the street. A house was about to be broken into and the owner chased the guy who was trying to break in and got hurt and ended up in the hospital. Then we had a neighborhood meeting and in that meeting, ADT came with information and gave it to the neighbors. We got the alarm set, so they are monitoring the house. We got the security system, which is wireless. And with that system comes the fire and smoke detector. It was fine with the person who installed the sensors and the equipment.
And the system has been fine. If I fry and get the kitchen, the stove too hot, there with the pan, and then the alarm goes off and there's smoke, it's immediate, they call. They also do it if they notice that something is not right with the equipment and they call to alert us that there might be a battery problem error. And then we check everything until we decide. When we needed, they come over to look at it. Recently, I think last year, they changed the equipment. They changed it to a Honeywell equipment. They changed to a different device there because it had to do with communication where something that were necessary to do. Plus the battery was getting old. ADT is professional and does a good job and do what they are saying they're going to do. So we're happy with that. I would recommend them.

We had the monthly monitoring service for a few years, but decided not to renew when the contract expired about two years ago. My obligation was paid as agreed and in full. Should be the end of the story, but Defenders decided to charge me $25 recently. Since I do not have service with them nor have had any for over 2 years, I contacted Wells Fargo and have them reverse the charge, which they did after making contact with Defenders. What's worse, and much worse, is that Defenders decided to contract a collection agency by the name of McCarthy, Burgess & Wolff - oh, and get this, to collect $419.85. Of course I immediately contacted the collection agency and they are contacting Defenders to require that they support their claim.
Of course Defenders will not be able to do so, but who knows where this will head. Yes, of course I will contact the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and file a complaint and review on ADT's website. This is precisely the way that consumers experience very harmful reports to all 3 credit bureaus. If that happens I will then have to pursue Court action to recover from some very harmful tactics on the part of a company that professes to "protect" you. My advice from this experience is to stay clear, very clear, of a company like this.

I had been an ADT customer since the early 90's. I found out just recently that my address was "out of market" and time to service moved from a fairly reasonable time of 3 days or so to 2 weeks. I also told I would be charged a service call. I cancelled service with ADT and hoped since they couldn't provide the service I had with my initial contract they would waive the cancellation fee. They would not and I was told by the customer service representative that I HAD been receiving the same service and I had always been charged a service fee. They have become too insensitive to the homeowner and I would not recommend them at this time.

I would recommend ADT to a friend. Installer answered any and all questions that I had about the service and installation. Installer was very polite and clean and made sure that he cleaned up after himself so that there was no mess left behind. He made sure that I understood the programming of the control panel and the use of the ADT plus app before he left.

ADT is well-known in the area and we interviewed several different companies and chose them as a replacement for another one. We're pretty impressed with the service. They have a good response when there's a problem and good recommendations when we wanted some additional stuff. Also, it has gone well with their reps. ADT is responsible and has a good wide network.

There is a 3 year contract that they do not disclose when they sell the service. I sold my home after a year and a half, to move for work and they are charging me nearly $600 in cancellation fees. I cancelled and sold the house over a month ago and they still haven't figured out the billing. They've charged 2 months this March 19 and again on March 26. Customer Services is so poor they can't figure out how to fix this. Do not get this or any service that have contracts like this! Also, there were times when my alarm went off and nobody called me. I just got an email.

BUYER BEWARE!! We priced ADT for our home- I was told that we had to give a credit card and once we chose to have ADT install our credit card would be charged at that time. I understand that but that is not what happened. My credit card was charged almost a week before they came to discuss install. Then when we agreed to install ADT I was told we would be charged for April and a prorated amount for March. That again was untrue. I reviewed my bank statement and realized I was not charged what I was told. I called what they say is customer service and after being talked to VERY RUDE had to be put back on hold and spoke to someone else to find out that they charge the higher monthly rate. Nothing can be done until their corporate reviews my contract which is a month I'm told. Unfortunately I am in a 3 year contract!!!

In a smart world with apps and cheap connectivity, items to buy on Amazon now, ADT closing will be a glorious day. WAY overpriced and horrible policies and then kicking those loyal even further down. Do NOT deal with this company! It has taken over 15 months, numerous phone calls, lots of stress and aggravation for ADT to stop billing old address; still do not have a working system in new location yet billed for 18 months of service. Told I cannot cancel contract and will continue to be billed for the balance of 3 year contract regardless of system working properly. Also told, ADT has no record of numerous service requests and are not capable of monitoring system to know if it is functioning properly. I have no confidence system will work in an emergency, if repaired. But do know I will never use ADT again after this contract expires.

ADT came and set the system up two years ago. They were here longer than I expected, but we got extra things like carbon monoxide. The installer was here for four hours setting this all up. He also gave me an orientation as to when we leave and put the alarm on. It was very complete. The service has been great and I have recommended ADT to two friends. Someone said that they keep pretty good track of when the batteries on your remote needs to be changed. I also phone ADT when we're away on vacation and they take all of that information down. I tried to set up an account on the computer because they said you could do this there but I had trouble using that for the vacation leave notification. So I just always phone and they're very pleasant. There was one time when our housekeeper came on the wrong day and tripped the alarm. The backup neighbor and I were notified. The backup neighbor came on over and then the police arrived.

I am satisfied with ADT. I like my system; however, I am disappointed with the way I was made a fool of by SafeStreets USA. I know that I wasn't the only one but I still feel tricked. They made promises with visa cards, everytime you contacted them they continue to lie saying its on the way, and it's been over a year.

For the last three months, once each month, our alarm system starts beeping in the middle of the night. A tech has come out every time that it happens. Each time a temporary fix is applied. Hopefully, this last time, the problem has been resolved.

ADT has been my alarm company for probably since I bought my home, which was over 20 years ago. Service is good and we have no issues with the hardware included in our package. I didn’t realize it, but I actually have a service contract with them because obviously I'm paying extra for that. But when I've had replaced the door, they came out and everything they did was covered under my service plan so I didn’t have to pay for any extra. That part was great. Also, everybody has treated me fine in all the interactions I've had with people from ADT. Other than the email I got one time that my sister was unable to run a self test, everything is good. I would recommend ADT.

I first had Brinks and then they switched to ADT. The features of the home security package I have is satisfying to me right now. In the past, the alarm went off and I didn't know which one was triggered. The tech had to find it. The one who came out was very polite and efficient. I would tell my friends I was satisfied but I wouldn't tell them that they should get ADT. I'd give them a choice.

I have been turned over to a credit collection co by this company. I do not and have not ever had account. The account is for **. I live in Ft. Lauderdale FL. I have offered proof of where I live. They do not care. They just want the money. If I want it off my credit then I have to pay it. Collection co is Perfection 801-921-7379. Even though the name on the account is not my name they hit the closest name they could, I guess that ADT could not find the actual person that opened the account. That goes to show another downfall for this company. I will be having fraud charges placed and an atty to sue.
Updated on 04/03/2018: Company response is to ask for mail; I do not live at the address that the service was opened and it is not in my NAME, yet it is on my credit. I have given this company all the information needed to get this cleared up. Yet they ask for letters. Again; I do not live at **. My name is not Debna **. How did you get my SS$? Why is this on my credit. I have hired Atty and will be suing collection company and ADT. Again either they are just not educated or simply do not know how to research the correct person/can not do their job. Which should warn any and everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I feel overall safe with my security services. ADT contacts me the moment I have a problem or something is wrong in my home. The only issue I have ever had is in trying to reset or troubleshoot my equipment to clear the codes when talking to a representative by phone. My suggestion is to send a technician out periodically to check the equipment and make sure it is working properly. This would increase my confidence and feeling of security with the system.

The ADT at mine home lost communication last Saturday when I was away from home. The entire Sunday I was away and ADT didn't have any communication with the device and hence no security at home. No one from ADT contacted me to inform. Then when I came back on Sunday evening and called ADT they just said it's a temporary problem and asked me to press some code to supposedly fix the issue. The issue recurred again and now I had to pay $25 for a supposed trip visit from a ADT technician. On top of that the guy can only come on office hours so I had to stay back at home. Instead of ADT compensating for loss of security they charged me. The technician came and again gave a story of missing programming, took away $25 and practically didn't fix anything.
This got proved because the very same night the communications again failed. So again I had to call and again ADT sends somebody only at office hours and made me sit at home supposedly to fix the issue. The technician supposedly replaced the radio and himself said this probably won't fix the issue but did that anyhow as supposedly his tech support team asked him to do so. Then ADT worked for a couple of days and again the communication failure started on Saturday night. So now when I call the customer support says that they are redirecting to local support.
Again another person will come on a weekday, I will lose my work day and ADT will supposedly fix something temporarily. All this while I have to supposedly pay for a non-existent service. They not only charge me but also doesn't compensate me anyhow for all the loss of security and the loss of work. I am supposedly keep on hold of ADT because I have a three year contract of a non-existent security and I can't go out of. Why would I pay for something which doesn't provide any solution and also why would I keep on hold of ADT. This is extremely unfair and I am on the verge of taking legal action against ADT.

I wanted to go with something that was a bit more national so I went with ADT and I've been using them for about two months now. My interaction with the sales rep was straightforward. He came in, did a survey and made a recommendation which made sense. The installation, on the other hand, was very good. The installer was terrific, very neat, and explained all the features of the various aspects of the system.

We’ve had ADT's security system for many years. It was common knowledge that our neighbors have had it and, apparently, they've been satisfied with it, and so far we've been very satisfied with it too. Half of the people on my block have come over to see how we were handling the security system and if it was working. My husband was the one who communicated with the reps if there was a problem or situation, but I don’t think there has ever been a problem. The installers cleaned up after themselves very well and they double-checked. I'm one of those people who don’t like the noise and having to check the system. But other than that, we feel safe when the security system is on and that’s the satisfaction we get from it.

I had my smoke detector go off 2 times within 6 weeks. The first time they explained it was probably battery needing to be replaced if there was power outage and we did have loss of power from Irma. So I replaced with a brand new battery. Then I get a second call about smoke detector going off. Both times the fire department was dispatched.
The first time this happened I had a friend meet the fire department at the house as I work approximately 30 miles from home. The second time I had to leave work and get home as soon as I could possibly get there as the fire department was waiting. Both times were false alarms but the fire department suggested that I contact ADT as there was probably an issue with the detector. I called and got the run around about a service order and getting someone out either after 5:30 or on a Saturday as I work. To date I still haven't heard anything back from ADT. I am seriously considering changing services once I have time off from work and can meet with different companies. Your prices go up and you are unwilling to accommodate your customers.

The panel was beeping inconsistently. The technician directed me to identify the problem (motion detector) and correct it. We subsequently ran tests to ensure the problem was resolved. I appreciate the help and have and would continue to recommend ADT.

I've been satisfied with ADT, so I've stayed with them for 20 years. My security service started off with Brinks. I pay for the service and I got some batteries last year. My only trouble is, when I open the door, I forget to put the alarm off in the morning. ADT is able to help me with that. When Brinks operated the security system, though, they were a few seconds quicker than ADT and they were all the way from Texas, but ADT still responded within reason.

We dealt with Brinks before they were bought by ADT. The features of the ADT package that we got are great. Initially, with the change of daylight saving time, the controls didn't change the time but it's working fine now. It's an excellent service and I would recommend my friends to use ADT.

Since having my ADT alarm system I've had quick responses to any alarm activation. No long waiting periods if maintenance or repair was needed. And any problems with my bill was addressed immediately. I'm retired now, most of the time I may be away from home, and it's reassuring to know that there are eyes other than friends and neighbors looking out for my best interest.

I have recently bought a new home and have been relentlessly harassed by ADT to include more than 10 letters, flyers, business cards, etc. mailed to me, more than 5 uninvited ADT representatives showing up at my front door completely ignoring the no soliciting sign - 1 of which was comfortable loitering around my property to include going in my backyard for more than 20 minutes completely ignoring the signage that I already have a security service and the 10 cameras on the property recording this harassment. I will never do business with ADT - as an aside, with as much as they are harassing me, it would suggest they are having financial issues.

Contact Defenders (ADT) on 04 March 2018 to receive a quote to install an alarm system to my property at **. I spoke with service representative Chris at ** about the type of services the company can provide. Chris gave a quote of $27.99. I didn't agree to purchase yet. I wanted for them to send a service rep to verify if their system would be compatible with the house since it was pre-wired for an alarm system. We schedule the free consultation for 06 March 2018 from 8:00 to 9:00 am. My wife was at the property. The representative arrived at the property and started to install the system where I was under the impression it was only to verify and consult for installation. I called Felicia from customer service and in a disrespectful manner told me to tell the installation team what I wanted. After this conversation I told my wife to tell them we were terminating the service.
I receive a call from Tim **, service manager for Defenders and he apologize for the customer service rep and told me it was never scheduled as a consultation. It was scheduled as an installation. However, the price monitoring was going to be $49.99. On 09 March 2018, after receiving all documents my wife signed. I noticed the price went up to $52.99. I call to cancel and the service representative told me they will provide three $100.00 gift cards to cover the difference in price. Also, the $160.00 charged on my debit account would be refunded in a couple of days.
On 16 March 2018 receive an email stating; a correction to your Alarm Services Paperwork was needed for ADT to correctly process my account and continue service. The signatures on your original paperwork do not match the name listed on the account. The signature name must be the same as the account holder's name. Balance due did not reflect current charges on the account, contract is backdated to time of install. This time the monthly charges went from $52.99 to $53.99.
I called customer service on 19 March 2018 at 08:30 am to cancel the contract. Spoke with Rashaad about the situation and told him about my dissatisfaction with the company charges less than 2 weeks of the contract and that I'm not signed the document. I told him I would like to speak with the supervisor and he said the supervisor will not talk to me. I told Rashaad I will contact legal advice and file BBB report. File report on BBB on 19 March 2018.
On 22 March 2018 receive call from representative from ADT stating they will refund initial contact fund ($160.00). She offer to lower my payment to $44.00 a month; however, I was not interested and wanted to cancel contract. Her response was contract is still validate and I would have to pay over $1,000 to cancel. So, word of advice for all my military brothers and sisters. STAY AWAY FROM ADT AND AFFILIATES. THEY WILL LIE UNTIL YOU SIGN CONTRACT. ONCE SIGNED, YOU ARE DONE.

I have had the most satisfying experience with ADT through Kenneth **, the technician who installed my system and came out again when the front camera wasn't working [which turned out to be a tripped fuse]. Mr. **, from the first minute I met him, made me feel very comfortable as he, in detail, explained how the system would work, discussed outdoor camera positions and internet speed, introduced me to the ADT Pulse app, walked me through it until I understood it, among many other things that would take too much space to detail. I received several phone calls about a low battery. After the second call, I scheduled an appointment for the technician to find the problem. He came and changed all the batteries in the sensors and in the main control box. The battery causing the phone calls was in the box. He was very polite and efficient.

I am very happy to have a security system. However, I was never given the promised sign to post outside the house. That is very important to let the "bad guys" know we have a security system! I have called ADT five times asking for a sign. I have been told over and over that a sign is coming, but I have not received it yet! Where is it?

I want to know why we don't have any upgrades to the system. Our system is eight years old, the only thing that has been replaced are the batteries motion sensor and keypad that runs the whole thing. It works just fine, I want to know if there's any upgrades and does it come with a cost.

I did not have enough information or training to conduct a test on the system. There were many things that were not clear to me in the test mode. The ADT video did not explain things very well. Overall I am satisfied with the system.

Our neighbor kids down the street from us robbed our home and there were a lot of robberies going on in the neighborhood. We needed an alarm system so we called ADT and got one. A guy came and installed it. He did the box on the inside of the door in our kitchen which goes out into the garage. He also did the wiring in there and put the box right inside the door. He was very knowledgeable and he mentioned the fobs. I told him that was a lot better instead of worrying about getting in the house, pulling the panel down, and putting in the code. We like the fobs very well.
So far, ADT's service has been great for us because when we leave or go out of town, we can turn the alarm on and we don’t have to worry about anything. I'm glad we have the system and we feel safe when we leave. I would also recommend ADT if I had someone inquiring about it. But there was a time when I was coming home and there were two deputy cars parked in the driveway. Apparently, the man I live with, Michael, pushed the panic button by mistake so, the police came and they wanted to see his driver's license and to make sure he's the one who lives there. Michael said it was his fault and the police wanted to make sure everything was good. Then they left and weren’t here very long. Michael was a little upset because it has never happened before. Also, the fobs and the buttons of the alarm that we have are worn out. They're not bright anymore and the white has rubbed off of them.

I’ve had ADT for over a year now and the service has been okay. I like the system and I still have it. My interaction with the sales rep was okay and he was good and very professional. But the only problem was, I didn’t get a receipt for the alarm system, so I could never get in there to get my Visa gift card. The installer was fast and very professional, and he explained the security system to me. I like that I have a remote that I can use fast in the car and I don’t have to go to the actual box. It was a good experience and I would recommend ADT. I'd tell people that the cost of the service is economical and I haven’t had any problems with it. Ever since I've had my ADT security system, I feel safer.

A few times, I have forgotten to deactivate the alarm upon returning home before opening the garage door, setting off the alarm. Within minutes, I receive a call and go through the password and questions to verify it is indeed me. I feel as though I am truly protected with ADT. Thank you.

When I lost my job, ADT made it affordable for me to make my payments and still keep my service. I don't care to be in a contract but I would recommend ADT to others. ADT also gives the customers enough grace periods to get their payment in and will make any necessary arrangements to get you back on track.

Customer service rep kept treating me like I was stupid when I called about my billing. Didn't like it, didn't appreciate it. At this point I'm sorry I went with ADT if this individual represents your entire customer service group.

Everyone I have dealt with is extremely friendly! I feel safe in my home again. The person who set up my alarm was very friendly. He got everything done and then he was on his way and I alarmed my home and everything was good!

No cameras were offered at the time of my install, and when I looked into getting it, they were very expensive. With other security companies they offer one camera for free. I have tried to cancel my service with you, make it difficult. I will be cancelling my service soon.

In February owing to an attempt to steal from my account, Bank alerted me and we changed all account numbers. I informed ADT about the change and restored automatic bill pay from new account. The person Ruth who handled me was very supportive and proactive. I had to pay $ 30 for this transaction. My only regret.

I am pleased with my experience when the alarm went off from an irrational passcode entry. The ADT representative was courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful avoiding the call of law enforcement and assisted in the reset of my passcode. THANKS ADT!

ADT is great - just received a new sign after deer broke our other one. That is a great deterrent. Thanks so much. We just have woods behind us so easy for someone to sneak up the back, but we have the sign in back right by the porch so that helps immensely.

Every battery in all the security sensors effectively updated with a new Panasonic long life battery. This included all the window, door, smoke alarm and glass break sensors. The Technician called ahead prior to his arrival and was here on time. He did a great job quickly and in a professional manner.

Keith lied to me about things he was installing. He said there was no cost for what he was installing. Then I find out I have a 2,500.00 bill. NOT COOL. I called him several times never answered, NEVER CALLED ME BACK, THAT IS SO WRONG. I DO LIKE MY SYSTEM.

We have had ADT for several years and have never had any issues. We are very pleased with our experience. Would love to have outdoor cameras, but I am reluctant to add more bills, since we have retired. Do you offer outdoor cameras that wouldn’t be to cost prohibitive?

I am very satisfied with ADT. It is a great company. I would recomend ADT to everyone I could. They provide excellent service and support. I am very pleased with the protection that ADT provides. I especially like that I can monitor my system from my phone.
