I recently bought a 36-inch Samsung TV from Amazon, delivered on the 27th Oct 2025. As of today, the 31st, the installation is still not done. I've been chasing Samsung customer care for three days, and they keep promising that a technician will arrive, but no one shows up. This is by far the worst after-sales service I've ever experienced. Samsung's support is absolutely unacceptable, and I am extremely disappointed.

This tv offers all the things, yes, which is the cause for 2 stars. But the remote functioning?!?? Has made me quite literally want to run my fricking fist through the screen. Now, I understand my review is just one review and that it might only seem as though I’m slightly perturbed but I work two jobs, am about to graduate grad school and start my doctorate, have a 7 yr old who is in school and extracurriculars, and have 11 nieces and nephews, all of which have extracurriculars to attend. SO, the fact that I am so disturbed by the functioning of my Samsung Tv (REMOTE, ESPECIALLY) that I actively carved out time to write this out should speak extreme volumes.

As you can say, my days are extremely busy. And, by choice, yes BUT I make this point and I emphasize this point because when I do get those fleeting, rare moments to watch a movie or a show after a long busy day, and I have to press the same button 57 times bc it won’t respond, or has a delayed response, it doesn’t make me a happy customer. Technology has came waaaaaay to far for these remotes to be this crappy and stressful to use, and until further advancements are made I will continue going out of my way to discourage people from purchasing Samsung products, Tv’s or otherwise, based on my overwhelmingly disturbing experience.

I don't recommend buying Samsung TVs. We bought a BRAND NEW Samsung 77" Model QN77S90D TV in September 2024, and this month October 2025, the screen went black. Samsung does NOT warranty a defective tv after 1 year. We paid 2500.00 for this lousy tv. Luckily, we purchased an extended warranty; they replaced the power board. Within an hour, it blew again. Now we must wait for the 3rd-party warranty company to complete their report, before we can get service AGAIN!. There should be a LEMON LAW for TVs just like cars. Samsung needs to recall these defective TVs, and fix them or refund the customer!!! Lucky for me, I have a backup TV, my mom's old Toshiba TV, or we would have nothing to watch, while we wait for service again. BUYER BEWARE OF SAMSUNG!!!

The process to get to the Home Screen is delayed and the processing time to open apps is really slow. Walmart brand TV Onn are better than Samsungs. Stay away forever. I will not be buying any more Samsung products.

I now have more $$'s in remotes than the whole damn TV. Never will I buy a Samsung again. This thing gives no warning and just refuses to change channel, control volume or turn on and off. I bought a Samsung QN65QN90A Flat Screen in 2021 and it just died on Friday, September 19th. I spent about 35 minutes with a representative troubleshooting. Eventually she said I would have to schedule a repair person. However, she couldn't provide a ballpark range of what it would cost. I didn't think repairing would be worth it since it would take time to schedule, could cost $600 or more (just a guess). So I asked if Samsung could provide a voucher for X amount off a new TV. She said they have a great promotion and gave me the price of a new TV, however, I found the same model at Best Buy for the same price. So I repeated what I was looking for and she gave me another model and again, I found on Best Buy for the same price. I would have had to wait till the 25 for the TV to arrive from Samsung, but I could drive to Best Buy and buy a new one tonight.

Anyway, I told her that I didn't think she understood that I was looking for a coupon to discount a new TV at any retailer. She said she did understand and proceeded to give me another promotional TV. Anyway, 4 year for a $2,000 TV to last is sad and the fact that they wouldn't do anything to keep me loyal is even more sad. I bought a Sony, wish me luck.

I purchased a Samsung TV about a year and a half ago. Just 2-3 months after buying it, the screen broke for the first time, and getting it repaired was a nightmare—slow, confusing, burdened with obstacles, and extremely unprofessional. Now, the same problem has happened again: the screen has broken a second time. When I contacted Samsung, I was initially promised a full refund as long as I sent my purchase receipt. I complied immediately—sent the receipt and all required documentation, and it was accepted by other representatives without issue.

Then a representative named Carlos sent me an offer for the refund, which I accepted over the phone. Suddenly, during that same call, Carlos demanded that I send a photo of the physical serial number on the TV—even though I had already provided the serial number and other representatives had confirmed it. I told him I was out of the country until the end of the month, but he insisted on more steps that are impossible under my current circumstances.

After I asked why all these extra hurdles, Carlos changed his attitude on the spot, saying I no longer qualified because my TV was out of warranty. He then rescinded the original offer, and gave me a reduced refund—over a thousand dollars less than what was originally promised—simply because he did not like that I was insisting the case be resolved correctly.

This is unacceptable. A written offer was made and accepted. I did my part by sending everything requested. Changing the offer arbitrarily and punishing me for speaking up is unprofessional and unfair. It undermines trust in Samsung. I demand that Samsung honor the original full refund that was promised, and resolve this matter fairly. I believe any customer in my position deserves to be treated with honesty and professionalism—not with delays, excuses, and insults.

In my area, there is only one authorized repair center, with no reviews, and when I scheduled an appointment, they rescheduled it at their convenience without even bothering to contact me first. I love my Samsung phone and thought Samsung TV would be as good. That assumption is far from reality. It is definitely geared to the apps that pay them the most. The picture is good but that is where it ends. Our lower priced TVs have equal or better picture and don't lock up every time you try to use Fubo or other apps. I think they push preferred apps and diminish other ones (that probably don't pay them). Save your money and get other brands.

TV Failed After 1 Year. Very Disappointed with Samsung. I purchased a Samsung 75" QLED TV from Sam’s Club for $900 a little over a year ago. At the time, I thought it was a great deal for the size. Unfortunately, just a few months past the 1-year warranty, the screen started showing vertical black and colored lines on the side. I contacted Samsung support and was connected to tech support overseas. Instead of helping, the rep suggested the issue was caused by “abuse or impact” in my home. That is simply not possible. My wife and I are in our 60s, we have no kids, and the TV has been professionally wall-mounted since day one. Nothing ever touched it.

Samsung’s only solution was to send a technician to replace the entire screen at a cost close to buying a new TV. When I said I expected a $900 television to last at least 6–10 years (as many experts recommend), I was told that because I didn’t buy an extended warranty and the TV I bought is “built with cheaper parts,” there was nothing they could do. I feel completely let down and misled. After researching online, I found many other customers reporting the same problems and even lawsuits involving Samsung TVs. Bottom line: even if you spend $900 or $6,000 on a Samsung TV, you risk the same outcome. The products don’t last, and the company doesn’t stand behind them. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG TVs, otherwise you will be screwed like we did.

I remember a time when Samsung products were great but I will NEVER try another Samsung product as long as I live. I have never written a review before but am so frustrated with the quality of this junk that I felt compelled. Don’t buy these products, I had better luck with my cheap Vizio TV from Walmart! I purchased a 65-inch S90D OLED from Samsung.com and even added the Samsung extended warranty. The TV arrived with a defect — the screen has some spots that look like air bubbles. There’s no external damage; it appears to be something within the screen layers. I took some pictures and reported the issue to Samsung support two weeks after receiving the TV. My mistake was not reporting it immediately. At the time, I was dealing with home issues and renovations, and my mind was already overwhelmed, so I prioritized resolving the house issues first. That said, it was still only two weeks after delivery when I reported the issue. Initially, Samsung support claimed it was trapped moisture and advised me to continue using the TV to let it dry out. When that didn’t resolve the issue, they scheduled technicians to inspect it.

The technicians suggested using a Magic Eraser — a product that, according to Samsung’s own website, can damage the screen of this model. Naturally, I didn’t use it myself. I expected the technicians to try it, if at all. Instead, they refused to return and simply reported “spots on the screen.” Based on that vague note, Samsung concluded it was "physical damage" and refused to honor the warranty. Despite my repeated efforts to explain that the issue was present out of the box, Samsung:

    Won’t accept a second technician’s opinion,

Won’t acknowledge that the damage is internal and not caused by misuse,

Won’t accept my photos as valid evidence (perhaps due to a lack of timestamp, though I’m not sure what else I could have done).

There are no signs of impact — no cracks, scratches, or bumps. The issue is clearly internal. Still, Samsung interpreted the technician’s brief comment as confirmation of “physical damage” and closed the case, offering only a repair service that amounts to $1,600 out of pocket for a screen replacement. So now I own an expensive, one-month-old OLED TV with what I believe is a manufacturer defect, covered by a warranty I can’t ever use. It’s incredibly frustrating to have a legitimate issue dismissed and attributed to supposed customer misuse. Buy Samsung TVs at your own risk. For me, this will be the last time. I’m seriously considering escalating this case to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

We purchased a brand new Samsung 95D 77” from Best Buy for almost 4000 dollars! We were told by employees that it’s the best TV right now. Boy was that not true. Our TV went out about 3 months into owning it. Just one day the standby light went out and it wouldn’t turn on. Samsung took over a month to send a tech to the house to repair a known problem which was the control panel. The tech swapped it out within 10 minutes and then realized that was not the fix we hoped for. After about another month the tech ghosted us after telling us he would contact Samsung to see what else could be done. Another couple weeks went by and Samsung told us they could not fix the TV and offered a replaced or refund.

We opted for a refund after realizing Samsung was junk. Then another couple weeks went by and they decided they didn’t want to refund us and only wanted to replace the TV. We demanded a refund since that was already offered. They finally decided that the refund was only given after they sent a company to come pick up the TV. Another few weeks went by and haven’t heard a thing. Called Samsung back and they said the TV had to be unmounted and ready for the company to pickup. We’re now into August and haven’t had a working TV in our living room since May. What a garbage company. This is the last product we will ever purchase from Samsung. They obviously don’t care about their consumers. Maybe come Christmas time we will have a new TV on our wall and it sure as hell won’t be a Samsung product.

The first TV arrived completely shattered on March 31, and I reported it to Samsung the same day. They arranged a replacement — which was delivered on April 4 — also shattered. Again, I reported the issue immediately.

Since then, I’ve spoken to over 20 Samsung agents, including a Case Manager assigned by their Executive Office. Despite being promised resolutions “within 48 hours” for months, I’ve received:

    No working TV

    No refund

No pickup of the broken replacement still in my home

To make it worse, Samsung later claimed I “missed my return window.” How can anyone miss a return deadline when both deliveries were broken and reported immediately? I’ve had to escalate this to their corporate office, the Attorney General, and may soon dispute the charge through my bank. The soundbar they sent is excellent — but that doesn’t excuse the total breakdown in customer service. I’ve done everything right, and Samsung refuses to make this right. Buyers beware: do not order directly from Samsung unless you’re ready to fight to get what you paid for.

Including having to reinstall them when they drop cause of glitches (once a week). Samsung was good, now they are moving to the realm of Vizio in their quality as far as software. Our $4500 Samsung 75" QLED works perfectly - IF the OneConnect box works. The TV power cord and Fiber Optic "Invisible cable" connects from the TV into the OneConnect box. The OneConnect box then sits on your entertainment unit and all other cables get plugged into the box - eliminating all of the wires that normally are visible hanging down from the TV.

Problem, is, the OneConnect box is VERY prone to failure. We had to purchase a new one probably 2 years after we bought out TV. Now THAT box has failed as well. And if the OneConnect fails, the whole TV is rendered inoperable. The TV gets no power at all, and yes, we've tried all of the suggestions including unplugging - reinserting cables. Unplugging all cables from the OneConnect and letting it sit overnight. Swapping the $300.00 OneConnect cable (Yes - $300 for a cable) Nothing works. Dead TV. And of course the compatible OneConnect box is obsolete and not available anywhere. You can buy all sorts of used ones on eBay... but again, what's the guarantee that IT won't fail as well? It's used.

Short story, we love the TV but we're done with Samsung's unreliable OneConnect technology. Yesterday we ordered a Sony TV and it will be delivered tomorrow. All of the cables will have to be snaked down behind the wall to hide them, but at least we're DONE with the OneConnect box and all of it's inherent issues. Good in concept, but very poor in design and dependability - unless of course it's designed to fail. (Planned Obsolescence) Definition: A policy of producing consumer goods that rapidly become obsolete and so require replacing, achieved by frequent changes in design, termination of the supply of spare parts, and the use of nondurable materials.

Wife purchased 85” Samsung OLED television as a Christmas gift on 12/01/2024, after the 25th due to the holidays I couldn’t get help mounting until the unit was out of Best Buy’s return policy. Once mounted January 30, 2025, turned unit on and there was a green line on screen from top to bottom, called Samsung and since it was out of Best Buy’s return date, had to resort to warranty, techs came out and replaced the screen portion. Once completed, I turned the unit on and there was light leaking from the seams of the screen and the back case.

Service returned February 24,2025 and stated they could not repair and needed yet another screen and rear case which I believe is now an expensive REFURBISHED unit! Contacted everyone on the corporate ladder with no recourse!! This is the second time I’ve had trouble with Samsung's Television products. I have an LG 55” and some real off brand unit and never an issue, so in retrospect, I will never purchase, recommend or utilize Samsung as a product in my home!!

We recently purchased a 77" OLED Samsung TV (SEP-2024) for the holidays. We had the unit delivered and set-up for us. We enjoyed the holidays watching the awesome picture and sound system. Less than five months later, the TV failed, completely. After researching the model and similar issues, we were disappointed to discover our TV would need a warranty claim, schedule a technician home visit, order any required parts, reschedule technician to install parts, hopefully restoring our viewing pleasure. Samsung warranty service/repair is not helpful in this process. Warranty work takes a significant amount of time and patience to endure. We will not make this mistake again.

We are already looking for a new TV, definitely staying away from Samsung brands at all cost. This time, whatever brand we purchase, we will buy the immediate replacement coverage from Best Buy/Geek Squad. We researched Samsung TVs prior to our purchase, however, it appears Samsung quality and care have plummeted to unacceptable levels. This unit was manufactured in Mexico.

I am deeply disappointed with Samsung’s repair services regarding my 83-inch S90C TV, purchased on March 18, 2024, through the Military Offers Program.

    Chronology of Issues:
    • October 2024: After installing One UI firmware update 2020, Wi-Fi stopped working on my home network but still worked via mobile hotspot.
    • First Repair (Oct 2024): Two technicians replaced the TV’s computer module, temporarily restoring Wi-Fi.
    • Issue Returned: After another forced update, Wi-Fi failed again under identical circumstances.

    • Ongoing Repair Failures (Dec 2024 - Feb 2025): Multiple repair appointments were canceled without explanation. When techs finally arrived, they only performed a factory reset, which failed to resolve the issue.

I was initially told I needed two repairs for a replacement, only for another tech to claim three were required. Samsung has canceled appointments without notice, showing a clear lack of transparency and accountability.

Personal Impact: As a disabled Army/Air Force veteran and IT engineer, this has caused financial stress (missed workdays) and discomfort due to frequent technician visits. I cannot afford another TV and relied on Samsung’s Military Offers Program—a decision I now regret.

Additional Context: I recently purchased Samsung’s 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 monitor, and Wi-Fi works fine, confirming this is an S90C-specific issue.

    I Urge Samsung To:
    1. Acknowledge the Issue – Many customers have reported the same Wi-Fi failures after One UI updates, yet Samsung remains silent.
    2. Provide a Permanent Fix – Replace the network interface card (NIC) or PCB in my TV to prevent future failures.

    3. Improve Support Services – Stop cancelling repair visits without notice and provide clear, consistent information to customers.

Warning to Fellow Veterans & Disabled Individuals: Beware of Samsung’s support. Their negligence has left me with a $5,000+ defective TV and no resolution. Veterans and disabled consumers deserve better.

First the Tizen OS was a much more difficult interface to use than the straightforward ROKU. After getting past that, I could not get to the "enable full screen" setting because picture size setting was greyed out and was "unavailable" to change from the 16:9 size. After several attempts to work around it, I called customer service who spent 45 minutes on the phone trying everything I did to end up telling me was a Netflix problem. I tried explaining that it was happening in other apps but was ignored, because alternative "scripts" weren't available to the customer service rep. Sad, sad, sad, since I thought I was upgrading to a better brand only to find out I just spent over a hundred more for a much worse viewing experience. With the TCL I could adjust the picture setting with about 3 clicks and simply zooming the picture.

Updated on 01/29/2025: Samsung repair had the TV for a week and was returned on the 28th of January. The TV worked great for about 6 hours, then issues started happening. First it had to be “updated” twice after watching for a while and now it won’t even turn on. I guess Samsung can claim that the repairs worked since the tv can’t be turned on and verified anymore.

Original Review: The tv worked well for a year and then the picture turned horrible. Contacted Samsung as there was a 3-year warranty on the TV and it was only a year old. Had a work order for Samsung to come to my residence and assess the problem. Samsung requested a picture which I sent to them and then was told that I must have “hit it with a hard object, fell to the floor or had a power surge”. I explained to Samsung none of that happened and they replied estimated repairs would be between $620-$650 and I only paid $650 for the tv initially. I could replace the tv for $620 now with another Samsung TV just like the one I was having problems with now. Samsung said the warranty is invalid and not covered. I will NEVER own another Samsung product as their warranties are worthless.

WARNING WARNING WARNING. I would avoid purchasing any Samsung product. This company does not care about their customers, only their bottom line. I purchased an 85-inch television for my bedroom because I have some debilitating injuries that limit my daily activities, so I spend a lot of time watching TV. Anyway I started seeing dark spots on my screen so I called Samsung and told them about the problem. On November 27th a repairman came out and replaced the screen. When he brought the screen in the house I noticed the screen has been frozen and I asked the technician if it would be okay to turn the TV on with the screen Frozen like that, he told me they had no choice they had to turn it on so he did. And if I'm not mistaken and I know I'm not, these screens are supposed to be kept in a controlled environment.

Well not even 30 days later I was laying in bed watching TV. That night I turned the TV off to go to sleep. When I woke up in the morning and turn the TV on I had a black line down the middle and colored blotches all around the outside edge of the TV. So once again I called Samsung and told them about my problem and on January 4th they sent the same technician out. He told me it appeared that something burst inside of the television and that I should be prepared because I have a 50/50 chance that Samsung would put the blame on me and that's exactly what they did. I believe this damage was caused by Samsung delivering me a frozen screen. They're supposed to be stored in a controlled environment. Obviously, they're not. Anyway, with that said, Samsung refused to repair my television and put the blame on me.

The issue began when the TV started lagging during use. I contacted Samsung customer support for assistance, and the first technician strongly encouraged me to perform a factory reset as a solution. Unfortunately, this action rendered the television completely non-functional, freezing during the setup process and becoming entirely unusable. Adding to my frustration, this technician admitted after the reset that, based on the symptoms I initially described, the TV was bound to fail imminently, stating it would break "any day now."

In a follow-up call to Samsung, a second technician initially assured me they would process a free visit to repair the television. However, I needed to provide the serial number, which I could not access at the time because the TV was mounted on the wall. I called back later with the serial number, but this time I was informed by another representative that a free repair visit was not possible under any circumstances. The inconsistency and false hope created by this conflicting information compounded my dissatisfaction.

Ultimately, Samsung's customer service informed me that because the television was out of warranty, I would be responsible for all repair costs, including labor and parts. Their only alternative suggestion was for me to purchase a new TV. This response is unacceptable, given that the failure occurred immediately after I followed Samsung's recommended troubleshooting steps.

I have consistently maintained the TV since purchasing it in 2018, ensuring all software updates were installed promptly. I expected a higher level of accountability from Samsung, especially when their own troubleshooting instructions caused the TV to become completely unusable. I respectfully request the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter and hold Samsung accountable for their inadequate support, contradictory statements from their representatives, and failure to provide a satisfactory resolution.

Sound silly? Sometimes out of frustration, I just turn off the TV and read a book.

Interestingly, two of my friends had similar experiences. It’s frustrating, and it seems like Samsung Empire might be taking advantage of the Indian consumer market. My advice? If I could give zero stars I absolutely would! After speaking with a customer service I have been informed, that after the manufacturing date of the tv the warranty only covers 1 year after manufacturing. With that being said, if a tv is manufactured and sits in a warehouse for a year the warranty could potentially expire prior to the tv even being purchased. I was also informed that Samsung televisions are only made to last a maximum of 4 years. So my $700 samsung tv was only meant to last 4 years after purchasing. Unbelievable!!! I absolutely do not recommend!!!!

They have setting feature that become a reoccurring problem of a tv turning off. The quality of picture not very good either. You won’t notice till you use an actual functional tv. Their customer support is pretty useless.

They try troubleshooting only to run if that don’t work they always suggest waiting for an update that will fix the problem. Then the problem only get worst and time has passed your warranty expire now they offer repairs or work but at a cost. Why I couldn’t get someone to visit before the warranty expire why was it only suggested after warranty. I highly recommend seeking other products. Even more affordable tv last and run better. Plus they overprice because of their name. No software work properly on Samsung products. The company build too many products and 90% of it garbage tech that will mess up sooner than you hope. I used to swear by Samsung TVs and was a loyal customer for more than 15 years, but now, after having the second smart TV die after less than 3 years, I've had it. I still have the non-smart Samsung TV I bought over ten years ago and it still works fine. But the last two Samsung smart TVs I purchased failed within 3 years, with similar power supply problems. They work fine until one day, you can't turn them on and Samsung says repair is over $200 + parts. I spent $530 for the TV and would not invest another dime in it. I thought the first TV that failed was an oddity, so I bought another out of loyalty, but will not make that mistake again. Unfortunately, I see from other reviews and googling the problem online, I am not alone. Shame on you Samsung!

Never buying a Samsung TV or product ever again. Purchase the TV in 2021 and it went out in March 2024. After watching TV in the picture just faded black across the screen then went out completely. No sound or anything. Called up customer service. They Connect me to a Samsung rep who had me troubleshoot over the phone and then decided to send a tech out almost a week later. Tech comes out and looks at the TV and says they have to take it into the shop. Week later parts claim to be on backorder, so waited another several days. Called in to check parts no longer available so I was asked if I wanted to be reimburse or they could replace the tv with a newer up to date TV. So I decided to get a new TV through their warranty.

BIG MISTAKE. Took a week for them to process the order, then after they processed the order, it took another week for them to approve it. Meanwhile, I have no tv this whole time. Mind you they still have my TV at the repair shop. Called back in check the status of the TV order. It’s been placed. Waited another week. They called me to set appointment. I’m thinking for the tv. No to drop off the broke tv. So waited another week tv or shipped yet because it’s on backorder smh. So waiting another week. The tv has now been shipped to Warehouse. Waited another week. Tv still in route to the warehouse. Mind you it’s is going on almost 2 months and still no TV. Finally receive a text message. No call and they say, "Oh we have the TV now at the warehouse. Someone will call you within seven days to set an appointment to deliver it."

Now mind you again I have no tv this whole time. This morning I get a call from someone in corporate basically giving me the runaround reply of why it’s taking so long blah blah blah. Can’t expedite the tv so I still have to wait. They finally say they’re gonna book the appointment for the TV. That’s another seven days that they’re going to take just a delivery. Worse customer service ever. Even called corporate. They Seem to not even care. Same thing just excuses after excuses not to mention all the other reviews that I read was also pretty much spot on with the same thing. Can’t understand what they are saying and not trying to be rude about that they do try and do speaking real fast. They’re repeating what you’re saying and still nothing is getting done.

I would NEVER EVER recommend any products of Samsung. TVs, sound bar, appliances. I have a sound bar from Samsung that had an issue only after three weeks of having it and had to ship that in to be fixed prior to the tv but that’s another story. Don’t buy Samsung products period unless you don’t mind waiting and you’ll be in the same boat as I am as well as other consumers with the same reasons. Today is May 8, 2024 and I still have no TV and it’s not supposed to be delivered until after Mother’s Day. Go to Sony. That’s what I’m buying from now on.

I purchased a Samsung television several years ago and since it seemed to have a great picture and color purchased a larger, later model a few years after. That television, Series 56, 52015203/62016203 apparently has a common issue of 'black screen' where the television might turn on but has no video or picture. Initially at least there was sound and the picture might flicker on and off occasionally, now, there is nothing except an expensive piece of junk that died long before it should have.

Planned obsolescence is a known practice with manufacturers so they can continue to make money, but if the product is only going to last a few years, make it more affordable. Companies should think about the electronic waste and how it affects the environment and the fact hard working consumers unwittingly pay large amounts for their shoddy products. I've already had to purchase a replacement television and aside from having to spend more money to replace something that should have in theory lasted many more years, will now have to find a responsible way to dispose of this huge piece of very expensive junk. This coupled with repeated issues for Samsung washing machines, both at home and at work, has unequivocally determined this is the very last Samsung product I will ever buy. More consumers need to make the same decision. Maybe then greedy manufacturers would start producing decent products.

After wasting an hour of my time this morning taking pictures of the screen walking through everything that I had already done myself the agent informed me that the only option was for them to send a technician out to fix the issue and replace the parts which was going to be an additional cost for me. I advised I was not going to incur any more costs for something that was a year and a half old. She then offered me a discount on the cost.

I specifically asked if the technician could not fix the issue what the next step would be and she advised me that after looking into it they could provide me a discount off the purchase of a new Samsung TV. This is terrible customer service. I advised the technician that all I was looking for was a replacement TV but she stated she was unable to do that. Contacted Samsung repeatedly about the Smart TV explaining when I returned home after looking after my sister, who has cancer, the TV wasn’t working. This was one week out of warranty. The TV could have died within the warranty. There is no certified Samsung dealer in my area. They told me to find a repair person, which I did. Three months later the TV died again. Samsung just told me they bear no responsibility. The TV was purchased at Walmart in April of 2023. One year and three months. I’ve lost several hundred dollars on their product and Samsung doesn’t care.

I tried to return it but they would not take it. I will just take the hit and consider it a loss. THIS IS AN UPDATE AND EDITING TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW, which contains other problems happened with this, so called, TV, and was published on 5/26/2023
I purchased a 65 Samsung TV from Costco two years and four months ago, before the end of the two years warranty I started to notice some problems with this TV, then after some time I called Costco exactly in December last year 2022, of course there’s no return, so they referred me to the Allstate Extended Warranty and sent a technician to check it, then they decided to change the mother board and the power board which already been done, but the problems still there and more problems were coming, after that the issue had been transferred to SAMSUNG, since then until this moment I’m suffering toooooo much with Samsung customer service, supervisors and managers to resolve these problems, whom they decided to change almost all the parts, even the screen, like a new TV, but I still have those problems and even more. I have spent and wasted too many hours talking with them with nothing, I asked them for a refund because the problems still ongoing, of course, they didn’t respond. Here are the problems: 1. Very loud sound like amber alarm, doesn’t go until I turned off the tv, I have recorded two of them 2. Blue screen didn’t go until turned off tv 3. The TV turns on and off by itself 4. No sound at all, until some technician accessed my tv and fixed it, after long time 5. While watching something there’s on sound at all, which comes after we forward it 6. There’s no Apple Air Play 7. Getting black screen for some seconds before advertising and after 8. When pressing the 12345 button to change the channel, nothing appear on the screen. 9.(NEW) which happened one after the first review, while watching news it stopped suddenly and a black screen appeared with the date and the temperature, that happened many times!!! 10. One technician came to check tv and ordered a new remote control, instead, they sent me a microwave glass tray!!!!! What else, after changing almost all the parts even the screen. I want you all consumers to tell me what to do with this, so called, Samsung TV, and how to get rid of it?

Samsung Neo QLED QN85A 55” TV stopped working after purchasing it a year and three weeks ago. This tv was manufactured January 2022. So a few weeks after the one year warranty expired, this tv all of a sudden turned on and off by itself every 10 seconds. The only way to stop that from happening was to unplug the power cord. This tv only got used for an hour during the weekdays in the evening and no more than two to three hours over the weekends. Has never suffered any type of damages during ownership. This tv was purchased new and not refurbished or an open box item.

This unit should have lasted way more than just only a year and few weeks. This product is faulty and there is a known issue with these tv based upon customer reviews online. Went through all the troubleshooting that was available on Samsung website and none worked. After reaching out to Samsung and explaining the problem with the unit, they agreed to fix the tv and to cover the cost of the part and I would have to pay for the labor to fix the unit. We agreed upon this.

A few days later an appointment date was set for a technician to come and look at the tv. Two days after making the appointment, I received a text message saying that the appointment is canceled upon further notice because the part that was ordered never got delivered and it’s been back ordered. After reaching out to Samsung again and asking them how did they know which part to order without even checking the tv. They replied that based upon the information I gave them about the tv not working that they figured out which part to order. I was told that the part is the LED panel. I was told to keep checking in back with Samsung on a weekly basis to see if such part was available and was ready to fix the tv.

A few days later I received another call from Samsung and that rep told me that since the part was back ordered and they didn’t have any idea as to when it would be available, that Samsung would replace my tv for another model equivalent to the broken one and that all they needed from me was a copy of the purchase receipt. Sent out a copy of the receipt to them and two days later I received a call from the same rep that told me they would replace the tv, now tells me that there is nothing Samsung can do and basically I’m stuck with this broken tv. After filling a complaint on BBB website, a day after Samsung has reached out to me to see how again they can resolve this issue. They requested and I have sent them videos of the tv turning on and off by itself. Waiting to hear back from them in a few days.

I have contacted them several times probably to the tune of 50+ hours, always with the same ending about the product being out of warranty, and come to find out, there are no longer parts for this product, and what was available in a screen replacement, was $500!

I was even told that I would either receive a refund or replacement, to then have the last person give me the same song and dance as all of the other previous reps, and he was the most insulting, telling me he was "uncomfortable" talking to me, when I told him about the previous conversation I had about how this television fiasco was going to be handled. What I have seen other people complain about, I ditto in experience. ** Based upon customer service experience, I see why this company is suffering. I called the retail store we purchased it at and they started troubleshooting it. After 5 attempts of replacing parts the manager at the retail store made the decision to take the TV back as they could not fix it. I upgraded to a newer model and had it installed in January of 2021. I spent more money thinking if I spent more money I would get a better product. The new TV was a 75" at the time top of the line. 2 weeks ago we noticed half of the screen went dark and then now it's completely out. I purchased an extended warranty on the TV and the retailer has been out to troubleshoot. Let's see how many visits they have to make to attempt to repair this one. I have had many Samsung products over the years and thought highly of them. I have lost my confidence in their quality. Want to advise other consumers to think wisely before purchasing a Samsung TV.

I didn't buy a Smart TV powered by TIZEN. Making a device that allows FCC class II, interference is sketchy at best, haphazard at worst. Allowing a remote device to do system administrator functions from a remote location WITHOUT authorization locally is bad practice for any network administrator. The password has been changed, power on initialization changed. So I went to Costco they said it's not their problem, because Costco has a two year warranty the TV has a 3 year warranty. And referred me to a warranty company that wanted to charge me for a TV still under warranty. (?) So I tried to do a some BASIC tests, and I got into an ever ending loop. Wasted two days trying to get out of it. Did tech. support via online chat.

Being an old tech support person for major computer distributors, this guy should be fired. He said I need to bring it into a certified Samsung service center, to end a system burn in test, that just checks, video, ram, power supply. WHEN ALL IT NEEDED WAS A KEY COMBINATION FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL. Defrauding people of time, and money, false advertising is a crime. Costco lied about no worries, Samsung lied too. I was being kind when I gave a 1 star rating as this was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered in my 72 years of life in dealing with any company. In Xmas 2021 my son purchased a 65 inch Samsung Q TV from PC Richard & Son and gave it to me as a xmas gift. TV was delivered just before Xmas and dropped off by two men. They unpacked the TV and propped it up against my wooden tv stand and plugged tv in and when tv came on they quickly unplugged the tv and that was it. When I asked if they were going to put it on the mount and checked the tv channels after hooking it up and they replied we didn't pay for installation and left. My son and I then followed the instructions and placed tv on the stand and mounted it on heavy metal tv mount.

When we hooked up tv cables and turned it on no picture and it turned main picture screen was cracked. The nightmare then began. My son then contacted PC Richard & Son and sent them a texted picture of the tv screen. They advised the screen was cracked and that only could have been caused by us dropping the TV. That never happened but they didn't want to hear it. They also advised that was not covered under warranty and we would have to contact Samsung. Not very helpful. Only were helpful when they sold my son this TV on sale then for $2000. We then reviewed and sadly learned that the basic 1 year warranty covered hardly anything.

Samsung was then called and they reiterated that only thing that could have caused this problem was that my son and I had to drop the TV. NOT ONLY WERE WE STUCK WITH A TV THAT WE NEVER GOT TO WATCH WE WERE BEING CALLED LIARS. They also stated that this was not covered by "warranty". What is also troubling was this diagnosis was made without anyone actually physically seeing and checking the TV. I am not an electronic expert but other causes should have been ruled out such as bad circuits, power surges etc.

I was advised that problem could be fixed at a cost of about $1400. I actually agreed to take on the cost of repair as my son was devastated by this whole experience that his gift was giving us such grief. The reality is that it was Samsung and PC Richard that caused the grief. Samsung stated that could set up the repair the next week and I agreed to it. Other problem that surfaced was the fact that I advised Samsung to contact me as the TV was now in my home (my son doesn't live here) and I was paying for it. The next week my son was texted as repair appointment was cancelled as the part was not available.

This is when the nightmare then really started. The classic pass the buck runaround started and I talked to numerous representatives and their supervisors and again all their communications went to my son. My son finally {after a few months} got a text that repair order was cancelled, I called Samsung a final time and asked them if there was any accommodations that could give us. They offered to give us a 15% discount on tv purchased from them which is a joke as the same tv bought through them would cost $2700. That was the end of my experiences with Samsung and I have sworned off any of their products. Only happy note is that we purchased a 65 inch LG Nano tv for $800 through Amazon and they set it up and it works great..

Take care when experiencing a problem with a Samsung TV close to the warranty expiration. We had trouble with the lighting of the picture on our TV early on, but worked to resolve (thinking it was related to the settings) before finally calling Samsung for repair. We had excellent repair service, but it took a long time for multiple visits and replacement of parts.

As options ran out and the technician recommended a replacement, we were approaching our warranty expiration, but we’re assured by technicians that we’d be covered since the complaint had been filed before the expiration. But, Samsung closed the (unresolved) the last week of the warranty (claiming they couldn’t reach us for a two week period although we were in touch and working with the technician and received no calls, emails or messages from Samsung over that period) and reopened a new one (for the same problem) the next week so the ongoing problem wouldn’t be covered. Now we’re stuck with a bad TV and Samsung won’t replace it. They’ve offered a pro-rated refund that won’t nearly cover a replacement TV - and we’re having to jump through many hoops to even arrange to return the TV and get that. Now -after the new ticket was issued- customer service is horrible.

The tech came, very nice, no problem there. But he spend 5 minutes, literary 5 minutes at the most! Switched the Picture mode to Dynamic and that's it! The problem is far and I mean far from being resolved. There is a slight improvement (the picture is a little lighter now) but the screen, especially for night scenes, is still way too dark. Sometimes, for some evening scenes, you cannot see anything! It's really horrible. My partner lost the receipt and so, we cannot return the TV to Walmart. We recently changed internet service providers and now the TV thinks we have moved to the eastern time zone. So, our Hulu TV guide is off by one hour. Samsung support tried but could not fix this and there is no option for the time zone to be manually corrected. I can correct the time but not the time zone and that seems like a software design defect. They offered to send out a technician at our expense, but I declined. Recently the lights of the screen just stopped working, out of the blue, we are only able to see the middle panel of the TV. After finally getting through to the local Samsung Customer Service representative, they estimated the cost for my repairs to the equivalent of $600! because the warranty is only for 1 year. This defect was not supposed to happen after such a short period of TV life, we have had cheaper TVs with a longer life span. I don't see why I have to pay that much for a problem that was not supposed to be there in the first place. Samsung said they are very sorry and understand my anger but there is no other way than to pay that amount. Now I have a big piece of garbage in my living room, because I refuse to pay that huge amount of which I am not convinced. The lights can be changed for a much cheaper price, this is a rip-off!!!

TV always starts with some low quality shows. HORRIBLE TV - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - I paid $700 for this one.

I had a Samsung 65 TV that I bought 5 years ago. However I noticed the TV was acting funny with no sound, and TV plus was acting up and my remote was not working. I unplugged it and waited and the same thing. I called Customer Service and they repeated themselves. It is out warranty and need to have a authorized repair center. I even asked for a supervisor and got hung up on. I talked to some people on my NEXT DOOR app and stating it probably going to be the motherboard which would run about 300-400 and service call. It would be almost cheaper to buy a new TV. I put my info in to see which authorized center would be but customers service even stated that no one in my area except this company. Authorized Service Center (Shipping Information) - Name: UBreakIFix Repair Parts Co. Address: 1491 N. Hairston Rd Unit# 5044 Stone Mountain GA 30083. Phone: 1-9549568181.

My investigation revealed this address goes to a storage place and the phone number goes back to Florida. So a company has a storage place address? I traced back the phone and going back to a Lakes Electronics in Pompano Beach Fl. They have been calling me. After 3 times did not answer it was cancelled. I would not trust this place when not a legit address and Florida number. I even lookup the complaints the company has a F rating Lakes Electronics. I would not trust anyone that uses a storage place to come in my house.

I like to know how is Samsung vetting this repair center unless they are getting some kind of kickback?? So I did buy a 65 LG TV on sale at Best Buy with the 5 year extended warranty by Geek Squad. I am hoping this will last. This was my first TV that ever broke on me and never had it happened till now. All the TVS I had lasted about 10 years or so. I thought Samsung was good but from the other people response that the Samsung suck. I do have a sound bar that was bought at the same time it has lasted (Knock on wood). I guess I am done with Samsung.

I called Samsung because my 70” Smart TV stated turning itself off and on and there was no picture. It was within warranty still by 2 days. The customer service assured me it was in warranty. They put in a ticket with a repair company in my area. After 6 days and me leaving multiple voicemail messages with the repair company no one ever contacted me. Then Samsung canceled the repair due to “no response “. When I called Samsung back they said now it was not under warranty anymore. I explained that it was when I put in the order and it was the repair company that never responded. “Dennis”, the customer service client said he would put it in as under warranty.

When I called the service provider they said it wasn’t under warranty, and I would be charged. I called Samsung for the 5th time and after a 30 minute conversation “Patricia” put a warranty extension on the ticket to cover the charges. She told me to wait 24 hours to call the repair company so the extension could show up in their system. Less than 15 minutes later I got another email that Samsung canceled the ticket. I am currently on the phone again with Samsung and it has been almost 2 weeks since the original call and my tv is still sitting unusable with this issue unresolved. If I hadn't bought the 2 year warranty I would have been out over $2000. I called Samsung customer service to ask about this problem and if it's a common issue among the QLEDs. His response was "I don't know". I asked why the backlight went after 1 year.... again the response was "I don't know". He had zero knowledge and stated that a refund has to come from Best Buy. Ok, fine but I would like to know why the "latest and greatest" would fail after 1 year of use. ABSOLUTELY DISSATISFIED WITH THE QLED TV AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! AWFUL!!

A Samsung third party contacted me and offered to conduct a diagnostic test for only $199 plus $40 per hour for labor. I suspect most would just purchase another TV. But I’m not unreasonable to expect a TV product to last longer than 2.5 years. As a consumer you should expect a reasonable lifespan for TVs. Is 5 years of use too much to ask for? I have had ongoing software problems with this "smart" TV. Apps work and then don't work intermittently. I have to use Apple TV to get around that so it is bearable, but not excusable. Now though, the screen itself is literally coming away from the frame and backlighting panel on one side. There is no bevel to keep it in place on the sides, and I could stick my finger in between the screen and frame. I called Samsung for help and they said, "Sorry, out of warranty" after wasting my time for two hours. They offered no help whatsoever.

This company does not deserve consumer confidence or loyalty at all. The other Samsung TV in our den lost sound within 4 months. Luckily that was still under warranty so that motherboard replacement was covered. I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product after my experiences with these initially great systems that fail far too soon considering their cost, for one reason or another. BEWARE! Great picture and sound but when playing a lot of shows or movies that are very dark, as most are these days, it reflects any thing in the room that has a light colour no matter how dim the room is. Lots of shows are unwatchable until it is dark outside and every light in the house is turned off. I would only recommend this TV if you had a media room that could be blacked out.

I don’t recommend buying Samsung products anymore and regret purchasing my UN55RU800F tv. I Bought my tv last year and barely used my tv. On April 1 my tv will not turn on and had a zapping/squeaking sound. After doing everything I could possibly do to turn it back on it would not go on. I then got in contact with Samsung via text msg as the customer service was closed and they informed me that a component from the inside of the tv was defective and I was out of warranty and told me I need to buy a new tv in which I told the rep that my tv is not physically damaged. All I did was turn off my tv when I went to work and when I got back home turn it on and it would not go on. He then said that he would send someone out for a one time repair and they would cover it since my tv was not physically damaged.

The repairman came April 5 and changed the main board for the first time and the tv finally powered on but still had the weird zapping/squeaking sound and the repairman told me contact Samsung tomorrow if the problem still persists and he put into his notes for another technician to come and fix the problem. On April 6 I call Samsung for a second time and they canceled my ticket for repair and told me that they would be moving my case to another department called second repair prevention team in which they told me they're going to review my case so I could either get a replacement or a reimbursement for my tv in which they told me I would have to wait between 24-48 hour for a call back. I said okay.

I called Samsung the next day and they told me I would have to wait till the next day. I called Samsung April 8 again and the rep told me I still need to wait for them to call me back but In the meantime they were going to schedule another repair ticket in which they canceled on April 6 for another person to come and repair my tv. On April 9 as I was on the phone with my doctor I get a phone call from the repair center and I was unable to answer the phone.

After I got off the phone with the doctor I then called back the repair center 8 times and 5 out of the 8 time someone would answer the phone and hang up so I then call Samsung and explain to them what was going on and at that point they then move my ticket to another department called case management in where that rep called the repair center and also couldn’t get a hold of them in which he said, "As we can’t get a hold of them I’m going to put this ticket for review for you to get a replacement or reimburse as this issue has not been resolved within a timely manner," to which I said okay.

On April 12 I get a phone call from the repair center and I tried to explain to the rep there what was going on and what Samsung has told me but she hung up the phone call before I could fully explain the situation and she closed my ticket. I then call Samsung once again to see what was going on and I explain to the rep what was going on to which he said since there is a repair ticket they could not replace or reimburse the tv till another repair is done so I then told him told him that the lady from the service repair team would not have a appointment till next week and I’ve already waited two weeks for my tv to be repaired. He then told me make the appointment and call them back so they could accommodate me for a replacement or reimbursement as it became a time issue as well.

After we ended the call the repair center was closed. On April 13 I get a phone call from the repair center to confirm my appointment for April 19 and after I called Samsung as I was instructed to do so in which now case management told me everything that was told to me was agents Samsung policy and I would need to get my tv repaired for a second time and I would need to wait till my next appointment and my tv would be fully repaired by April 19.

On April 19 a different repairman came and for a second time changed the main board on my tv and once again the tv turned back on but was still making the same noise. He then calls his manager and informs him he change the main board and he need to change the power supply so he orders a 3rd main board so I could at least turn on my tv while I waited for my next appointment and a new power supply. His manager tell him no put the broken main board back into my tv and when the new power supply come to change both of them at the same time which leave me with no tv once again for another week.

I then call Samsung as I still don’t have a working tv and highly frustrated that they at least could have left me with a tv that powered on but also realizing that the tv already went through 2 main boards what going to be in place to protect me and my tv from this issue happening again. No one is talking about extending or giving me a limited time warranty as now my tv need to be fixed for a 3rd time and also to expedite the time for my tv to be fixed as now I’ve been waiting 4 day short of a month for my tv to be fixed with no Guarantee it would even be fix by the next appointment.

I don’t have a explanation to tell my 2 children why they can’t watch tv. I will not be getting a reimbursement for my cable bill I have to pay for this whole month I had service and couldn’t use it and Samsung doesn’t not care that I’m putting myself, my children and 23 week old high risk pregnant wife at Risk now for a 3rd time for a possible exposure to covid-19 by letting people in my house for a repair that should have done right the first time and all that could be said to me is please be patient. I’m am very displeased with this nightmare and wouldn’t very much inform people not to buy Samsung products and for people to give their hard earned money to a company who cares about their Customer relations.
