I brought the below tv in May 2020, suddenly yesterday it stopped working. Samsung says warrant is expired. I have to pay from my pocket. Just created a service ticket to see how much it cost, whether it's worth it to repair. Then I got a message from Service Quick about the quote [Minimum labor fee $200 (Visit fee included) + parts cost ] and there is a separate cost for major repair. Every year I cannot shell out $700 for tv. Don't know what to do with this junk. Do I really need to go thorough after buying product from these JUNK companies. Samsung is pushing boundaries. They give the best hardware, memory, ram, processor, display, and cameras, in their phones. Their televisions are in 5 of my rooms. They are simple to operate and have had no issues. Watches and tech gadgets I've not had any issues but really don't mess with it a lot. Have bought Samsung for 30 plus yrs and will continue. I had a washer and dryer and any issues the warranty issues were taken care of at my home with no inconvenience to myself.

After 3 weeks, my Samsung tv lost the picture, but I have sound. Numerous phone calls to Samsung. The 1st company they set me up with could not come out until 3 weeks later. After complaining some more, the 2nd company could come out a week and a half later. The 2nd company just called... A part (that maybe could fix tv- but not known since no one has actually looked at it) will be late. They can't come out until another week. Called Samsung again, and now waiting another 24 -48 hours for them to get back to me.

The quality of my 55 inch TV screen is excellent. It is a smart TV and works as advertised. I do have some issues. It is supposed to have a microphone that responds when asking it to go to a specific channel. This has never worked properly and I had to disable it. The sound quality should be better. I will need to get a sound bar to improve the situation.

I have 5 Samsung TVs in my home, of varying sizes. I have owned nothing but Samsung for over 20 years. The sound and picture quality are top notch for the price point. However, I've noticed with my last 2 purchases that the TVs start having problems at around 3 year. Nothing major, but I would hope that they would focus more on making a more long lasting product.

I purchased my Samsung Smart TV in Jan. 2020. It has brilliant color and clarity. The extra channels are appreciated as well. Connectivity is simple, online instructions clear and remote is easy to learn. When I had a problem, I went to the help screen on the TV, notified Samsung and received a call within 20 minutes. The technician was able to rectify my problem in a couple of minutes and I've had no problems since. My next TV will also be a Samsung.

The app store is just too poor with apps. Many of the essential apps are not available, and to top it off, Samsung doesn't allow you to download apps from other sources. I purchased a Samsung 55" smart TV in 2020. After 15 months, it started going on and off by itself and the screen went black. It was purchased from Best Buy. They referred me to Samsung since the TV was past the year warranty. Samsung customer service assured me that I would either be offered a repair or a new TV as a one time courtesy. They called me back to advise there are no Samsung authorized repairmen in my area and said another department would call back with some options. I am waiting for them to call back. Thus far, I have been transferred to four different people. My previous TV lasted 40 years. Research online turned up lots of consumers who had experienced problems identical to mine with their Samsung TV. I would never buy this brand again.

The speaker system is a surround sound, which performs very well, and I don't know how they make some noises sound like they are coming from the other side of the room? I've had this for 4 years now and have had no problems with it, knock on wood. It has Wi-Fi and can be easy to set up if you know your passwords to your cable and internet provider. I will keep this as simple as possible: Do not purchase Samsung TV products. I purchased a Samsung Smart TV (4K Ultra) and after just 2.5 years of use (out of warranty) the picture developed a vertical shadow. Two weeks later the TV is completely black on the right half. This TV was never damaged and always mounted. I called Samsung and was hoping that they could fix this issue because mine is not a unique experience. A Samsung third party contacted me and offered to conduct a diagnostic test for only $199 plus $40 per hour for labor. I suspect most would just purchase another TV. But I’m not unreasonable to expect a TV product to last longer than 2.5 years. As a consumer you should expect a reasonable lifespan for TVs. Is 5 years of use too much to ask for? I promise I will not let this go and will invite my neighbors to watch half of the Tokyo Olympics on my Samsung TV.

I am writing this because I rely on this site and others to read reviews before I purchase. I have owned 5 Samsung TVs. I used to be a big fan but not anymore. The last one I bought was in November of 2016. It is a model number UN65KS8000FXZA and I paid almost $2000 for it. The TV has been perfectly mounted and cared for since day one. I have had ongoing software problems with this "smart" TV. Apps work and then don't work intermittently. I have to use Apple TV to get around that so it is bearable, but not excusable. Now though, the screen itself is literally coming away from the frame and backlighting panel on one side. There is no bevel to keep it in place on the sides, and I could stick my finger in between the screen and frame. I called Samsung for help and they said, "Sorry, out of warranty" after wasting my time for two hours. They offered no help whatsoever.
This company does not deserve consumer confidence or loyalty at all. The other Samsung TV in our den lost sound within 4 months. Luckily that was still under warranty so that motherboard replacement was covered. I will never, ever, buy another Samsung product after my experiences with these initially great systems that fail far too soon considering their cost, for one reason or another. BEWARE! DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!

Samsung TV warranties start on the day of purchase/order. For online orders, it is impossible to get physical possession on that date. In my case, the tv arrived almost 2 months later, so the warranty is only good for 10 months instead of the full year advertised. I tried to make an adjustment, but was refused. Something you should check out before you buy online.

I purchased a high end $3,000 Samsung 85" Class - Q8DT Series - 4K UHD QLED LCD TV from Costco. Within 5 months the a vertical line running down the middle of the screen and a horizontal line running across the top of the screen appeared. I contacted Samsung and filed a warranty claim. They sent a technician to my house. The technician was from a 3rd party company, not from Samsung. He looked at my TV and told me he would order new parts and contact me when they came in to schedule a repair time.
Then a day later I received an email from Samsung notifying me that my warranty claim was denied because they said the issue was caused by physical damage. This was a surprise. My TV has been hanging on the wall the whole time. There is no sign of any physical damage on the outside of the TV. This TV had a defect and they were calling it physical damage.
I called Samsung back multiple times and customer service was very poor. The agents were unable to answer any questions about why the warranty was rejected or offer any type of dispute or protest process. The last agent I talked to said they would get in touch with the 3rd party company that looked at my TV to get more detail and get back to me. I've yet to hear from Samsung. I will never buy a Samsung product again. They don't stand by their product quality and their customer service is horrendous.

The baseball season did not start until April so I could not test it out ahead of time. Now it's over the return period. I contacted Samsung and was told there's nothing they can do. I don’t recommend buying Samsung products anymore and regret purchasing my UN55RU800F tv. I Bought my tv last year and barely used my tv. On April 1 my tv will not turn on and had a zapping/squeaking sound. After doing everything I could possibly do to turn it back on it would not go on. I then got in contact with Samsung via text msg as the customer service was closed and they informed me that a component from the inside of the tv was defective and I was out of warranty and told me I need to buy a new tv in which I told the rep that my tv is not physically damaged. All I did was turn off my tv when I went to work and when I got back home turn it on and it would not go on. He then said that he would send someone out for a one time repair and they would cover it since my tv was not physically damaged.
The repairman came April 5 and changed the main board for the first time and the tv finally powered on but still had the weird zapping/squeaking sound and the repairman told me contact Samsung tomorrow if the problem still persists and he put into his notes for another technician to come and fix the problem. On April 6 I call Samsung for a second time and they canceled my ticket for repair and told me that they would be moving my case to another department called second repair prevention team in which they told me they're going to review my case so I could either get a replacement or a reimbursement for my tv in which they told me I would have to wait between 24-48 hour for a call back. I said okay.
I called Samsung the next day and they told me I would have to wait till the next day. I called Samsung April 8 again and the rep told me I still need to wait for them to call me back but In the meantime they were going to schedule another repair ticket in which they canceled on April 6 for another person to come and repair my tv. On April 9 as I was on the phone with my doctor I get a phone call from the repair center and I was unable to answer the phone.
After I got off the phone with the doctor I then called back the repair center 8 times and 5 out of the 8 time someone would answer the phone and hang up so I then call Samsung and explain to them what was going on and at that point they then move my ticket to another department called case management in where that rep called the repair center and also couldn’t get a hold of them in which he said, "As we can’t get a hold of them I’m going to put this ticket for review for you to get a replacement or reimburse as this issue has not been resolved within a timely manner," to which I said okay.
On April 12 I get a phone call from the repair center and I tried to explain to the rep there what was going on and what Samsung has told me but she hung up the phone call before I could fully explain the situation and she closed my ticket. I then call Samsung once again to see what was going on and I explain to the rep what was going on to which he said since there is a repair ticket they could not replace or reimburse the tv till another repair is done so I then told him told him that the lady from the service repair team would not have a appointment till next week and I’ve already waited two weeks for my tv to be repaired. He then told me make the appointment and call them back so they could accommodate me for a replacement or reimbursement as it became a time issue as well.
After we ended the call the repair center was closed. On April 13 I get a phone call from the repair center to confirm my appointment for April 19 and after I called Samsung as I was instructed to do so in which now case management told me everything that was told to me was agents Samsung policy and I would need to get my tv repaired for a second time and I would need to wait till my next appointment and my tv would be fully repaired by April 19.
On April 19 a different repairman came and for a second time changed the main board on my tv and once again the tv turned back on but was still making the same noise. He then calls his manager and informs him he change the main board and he need to change the power supply so he orders a 3rd main board so I could at least turn on my tv while I waited for my next appointment and a new power supply. His manager tell him no put the broken main board back into my tv and when the new power supply come to change both of them at the same time which leave me with no tv once again for another week.
I then call Samsung as I still don’t have a working tv and highly frustrated that they at least could have left me with a tv that powered on but also realizing that the tv already went through 2 main boards what going to be in place to protect me and my tv from this issue happening again. No one is talking about extending or giving me a limited time warranty as now my tv need to be fixed for a 3rd time and also to expedite the time for my tv to be fixed as now I’ve been waiting 4 day short of a month for my tv to be fixed with no Guarantee it would even be fix by the next appointment.
I don’t have a explanation to tell my 2 children why they can’t watch tv. I will not be getting a reimbursement for my cable bill I have to pay for this whole month I had service and couldn’t use it and Samsung doesn’t not care that I’m putting myself, my children and 23 week old high risk pregnant wife at Risk now for a 3rd time for a possible exposure to covid-19 by letting people in my house for a repair that should have done right the first time and all that could be said to me is please be patient. I’m am very displeased with this nightmare and wouldn’t very much inform people not to buy Samsung products and for people to give their hard earned money to a company who cares about their Customer relations.

Bought Samsung 40" Smart TV at Best Buy. Easy set up. After watching a movie for just under two hours, sound goes to garble and is unintelligible. Only way to fix is to turn off TV and start over. Never stops happening. Same with the "Ambient Light" feature. Goes from dark to light with no ambient light changes. Called Customer Service to have TV fixed or replaced as still well within one year warranty. After two weeks of me changing out HDMI cable, resetting to factory settings and changing out cable companies [that was already planned] (they asked if we were sure it wasn't a cable company problem), the TV still has same problem. We have two other Samsung TV's that work just fine. Their next step is to take TV into their nearest repair center. It is a 2 1/2 hour round trip drive to get it there.
Nope, they will not generate a UPS Label for it to be sent to this repair center. So, basically, there is no warranty on Samsung TV's, unless you can take time off of work and spend extra money on gas for a road trip to Repair Center. This problem seems to be that we bought a Lemon and is most likely not repairable. Then, the customer has to make the same drive back again to pick up broken TV. It's not worth the travel money and time to replace an item that never worked from day 1! I asked if there was nothing else we could do? So sorry, nope! Warranty is an absolute joke! What reputable company does not stand behind it's product? We will be replacing this TV with anything other than a Samsung!

I did mess with the Samsung secret service menu and made my tv useless....meaning it was not longer a smart tv.... Channels though continued to play normally. I did sent my tv on official Samsung service in Athens explaining my problem to them and what I have done. I specifically requested to reset the firmware since that was the problem. They asked me to pay 29 euros just for technical control. I did send the tv paying 10 euros but they didn't bother to fix it. Instead they said that a T-con motherboard needed to be replaced for a 185 euros. The mother board was ok.... I just messed with the secret menu options!!! I asked them to send it back to me but no!!! I had to send someone to pick it up. Nice behavior since I live In Sparti 250 km from Athens. I paid another 10 euros to send someone and fetch it for me.
Anyway....through some online research I managed to find the motherboard myself for 65 euros plus 15 euros for postage and replace it myself since it was so easy.... Just a few screws and you are done. I will never buy a Samsung product again especially a Tv and the main reason is not the bad service and the overcharges for repair, but the Samsung policy not allowing firmware downgrade on their Tv's. The year before buying my tv (2015) downgrade on Samsung tv models was possible. Total cost 129 euros. I saved 56... Not bad.

February 2020 I contacted Samsung about a problem with my TV. First they said it was out of warranty. I told Samsung that I can’t believe that a $3500 TV would only last a little over 2 years. Samsung agreed to replace the panel at no charge. The first panel was received in March of 2020, unfortunately it was received damaged out of the box. Finally in April 2020 I received the second replacement.
February 2021 I called Samsung and informed them that the panel had a horizontal line at the bottom of the screen. They gave me a telephone number of a local repair shop. I call the local shop on 2-26- 2021 and finally on 3-1-2021 I talked with them. They informed me that the replacement panel furnished by Samsung has a warranty of only 90 days. The estimated cost to replace the panel was between $700 - $1000. There is no guarantee that this panel will last 90 days. After looking on Samsung’s community website, I see that this is a major problem with Samsung TV’s. After several attempts to get Samsung to fix the issue I get no response from any of my message that I have sent to them. It appears that they have removed my posts from their site.
I have been a fan of Samsung products up until now, it appears that Samsung will not stand behind their product. It is obvious that Samsung knows this is a major problem. As of now I cannot recommend Samsung products to anyone. I will alert other consumers on sites like, Best Buy, Amazon, etc., that there is a serious problem with Samsung TV’s. I will refer them to Samsung’s community webpage to review the issue posted by other consumers.

2 years ago I replaced every kitchen appliance with a Samsung device. I have been happy with them. Yesterday I purchased a 55" QLED 4k Smart TV from them to use as a computer monitor. Then I found out that the remote they give you doesn't have a source/input button. You have to scroll through a dozen preinstalled "apps" from vendor partners to get back to your PC you have it plugged into, if you switched away to watch Netflix for a while or something. Fair enough.
I contact support, asking them how to delete the vendor apps. "Sorry, you can't do that". Okay, where can I get a replacement remote that's better than this one and has a source button on it? "These TVs will only work with *that* remote". Ah, so my solution is to return your product and exchange it for a competitors product. That seems like a bad solution for both of us, no? "It's a limitation of the product" No, it sounds more like it's a limitation of your company's marketing division. I build hardware for a living. Not a single product I've ever made requires a hulu app to be installed in order for it to function. Turns out some fine people have released a custom hacked firmware for samsung TVs that replaces everything. That's my next try. Samygo.tv has the details. But it's probably easier just to buy from someone else in the first place.

We have spent hours trying to figure out why Samsung would arbitrarily limit the internet connection password field to 8 characters. Our service's password is 12. Since we cannot connect to the secure side of our internet service we now have to take the TV off the wall and return it. Samsung does not stand behind its products. Support is slow and redundant and they simply give up at the end, telling you to call if you are on an online chat or to go online if you are on a call. You cannot get to someone who is not a contractor and really cares. Oddly, I sat through a 20 minute Samsung CES 2021 ad on Youtube and they clearly want to connect your kitchen, your living room and even your pets to the internet, yet they cannot even connect this one TV. Seems like a hopeless endeavor to me.

I purchased my Samsung 55” 8series TV approximately 4 months ago. The TV worked well at first. Then one day a message appeared that said an update for the tv was available. I allowed the update and it was a huge mistake. The TV has Samsung Plus which Samsung uses advertise. Since the update Samsung Plus is no longer an app it is embedded software and operates as a source on the TV. This Samsung Plus kicks me out of any other source I try to use. We can’t watch a movie, play games or even plug a stick in to watch movies.
Samsung Plus overrides any source we try to use (HDMI,USB). Samsung also embedded advertising such as MacDonalds and others. I know these are embedded because I no longer allow the tv access to the internet and Samsung Plus and the advertising still come up. I bought this TV about 3 YEARS AGO, the controller just died. I phoned them to have it replaced, was told warranty only lasted a year. I need to pay almost 60.00 plus shipping from I guess Ontario, I live in B.C. I told them the controller last longer than the TV, I shouldn't have to pay for a poorly made piece of crap. Asked for a phone no for head office, didn't have one. I had a few other things to say about their crap hung up on me. I ALWAYS THOUGHT Samsung was a good product, in fact, I bought a tablet so. I wondering how long this is giving to last before it dies. I'm older, can't afford to pay for this. Never will I buy Samsung again, what a poor company this is. I'm APPALLED with that company, why haven't they got a office in Vancouver, we have one of the most expensive mailing systems in the world. Controllers are cheap plastic crap, ate batteries, had to replace every few months. Thank You.

Loaded with Apps you can't move or delete. When apps are added, there is a long, long process to repeat each time with their "intuitive" keyboard which makes it almost impossible to enter info--it messes with the qwerty keyboard, guessing your next letter (never works). The TV simply stopped recognizing my apps like SHO, STARZ, HULU. I had to reset tv to factory settings, re-install each app individually using the insane keyboard--it took a FULL EVENING to reinstall. After 2 months. If I have to repeat this process even once more, this tv is going straight to garbage. Not worth the aggravation. Buy another brand and use a ROKU. My other TVs have been going strong for a couple of years. DON'T BUY SAMSUNG.

Purchased a Large 70 Inch 4k TV 7 series from Walmart a few days ago, This TV was SO big it didn't even fit inside my SUV so I had to rent a truck to get this TV to my place. Once the TV was in my place I opened it and found that there was no power cable inside the TV box so I called Samsung customer care and they told me to return the TV to Walmart and get another one. I didn't really want to rent a truck again for a power cable which was a couple dollars, So I picked up a TV cable on Amazon for 10$. Once I plugged in the TV the LCD panel was damaged. There was blue and green lines just showing up. Nothing else. I called Samsung again in regards to this issue.
After spending over a hour on the phone with them they ask for proof of purchase and a picture of the TV. They told me it will go thru a review committee to see if it's covered under warranty. The next day I got a email which said, "The TV will not be covered under warranty." I didn't even bother wasting my time calling them again just so they tell me, "We can't help you." I also got the 3 year protection plan with Walmart. Do yourself a favor and save the 80$. It's just as useless as Samsung customer service department.. So I ended up getting a TCL for half price and honestly it's pretty good TV. No complaints.

I have had quite a few Samsung products, all high-end. Problems began when my WASHER EXPLODED about a decade ago. The same story about their horrendous repair record with this also applies to my 78" 9p-series TV and now my Q90R Harmon-Kardon Atmos soundbar. Summary - their products OFTEN fail just past their warranties. I have spent countless hours on the phone with their reps trying to resolve problems. They run you through a litany of required procedures (please not, I'm an Engineer and know my tech VERY well), sometimes for hours, with little resolution where a real product problem exists - THEN they "refer" it to a "repair center" that never contacts you or doesn't show up for their appointments, whether warrantee or not.
They do not "bump up" calls to more experienced techs, as almost every decent company does, hence you are left holding the bag with a broken product and no recourse - YOUR WARRANTY AND THEIR "SUPPORT" IS WORSE THAN USELESS. Whomever they are using here, in central NJ, has never come through and even Best Buy (where I had purchased an extended warranty for a $6000 TV) does not honor theirs. Summary - from now on, if a product of equal performance from another manufacturer (like SONY) is available, THAT is what I will purchase, and AT COSTCO, where a warranty means something.
I hated to write this because Samsung products appear to be great, but my experience has been, at best, questionable. Having had a $6000 TV, a $2000 washer and a $1700 soundbar fail at or shortly after warrantee, and then not even be able to obtain competent support/service, is disgraceful. One of the reasons that APPLE is so successful is that they really support their customers. Samsung has a LOT to learn!

They opened it in front of him and turned it on. He said they were rough packaging it back in the box. Then once back in the box, the associates brought it out to the Tahoe and were rough trying to put it in the back of the Tahoe. Eventually they got it loaded, hanging out the back glass of the vehicle. When he got it to my house. We unboxed it by leaving all the styrofoam on it by sliding it out of the box. Removed the bottom so we could install the legs on the tv. From there placed the tv on the entertainment stand. Plugged it in and when I powered on we noticed lines going across the screen. After further inspection when removing the top piece of styrofoam, noticed there was a crack in the top left corner of the screen, underneath the styrofoam.
Called Conn’s immediately and they told me to send pictures in. So I did. A man by the name of Andrew (store manager) called me back about an hour later and said that Samsung denied the claim saying it was the customer's fault. I asked him what he could do about about it and he stated nothing. It’s my problem now. So now I’m stuck with a $1500 tv and loan that I can do nothing with.

We contacted them on June 18, 2020 which was less than 2 months after buying it. It is a 55" TV, so they said someone would be out here to repair it on Wednesday the 24th. The next day I got an email that said it was rescheduled to Friday, the 26th between 12 noon and 8pm.
I am disabled and had to have someone here waiting for them to arrive. No one showed up. So, I called to find out what happened, and Samsung said that the reason they didn't come out was because the company that does their repairs had "done something wrong", and that I needed to call them to get it straightened out. When I asked why Samsung couldn't do it because it's their repair center, they said they could only redo the repair ticket. Then, without asking if I wanted them to, they redid the repair ticket. And they said, "I guarantee someone will be there next Wednesday (July 1, 2020) to repair it."
It's now June 30, the day before they are supposed to be here, and the repair center called and said that Samsung says they never got the serial number for my TV, which is a lie because they wouldn't even put in the ticket without it. And, they are telling me that it will be another 2 to 3 weeks wait for repairs, because the repair was never scheduled yet. All Samsung told them was that it needed repair, and never set a repair date. So, a TV that we got at a premium price not only messes up in less than 2 months, but also has the worst customer service than a brand less than half the price. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any device before. I will never buy Samsung again.

Not even a minute later, they correct themselves. They tell me that I did not buy a big enough television for them to send someone out and instead I will have to mail it off. I speak with a manager and they tell me that is all they can do. I wait for the label to be emailed. This took about five days. Once I print that out, I head to the UPS store. As I am trying to mail it off, I find out that they are not paying for shipping materials. They force me paid another $20 for shipping supplies.
Fast-forward a week and I get an email that informs me that the repairs will cost $155. Obviously, I called them and the television’s screen is broken which is not covered under warranty. I tell them that the television was in fine condition when I mailed it. UPS dropped and broke the TV! They say they will investigate it and eventually agree that UPS broke the television during delivery. They finally fix the television and sent it back to me. This process took longer than two months! NO MORE! I recently remounted a fairly new Q80 and saw nothing but horizontal lines when I turned it back on. The Samsung proprietary QLED panels have TEN layers of extremely fragile glass, one of which apparently was bruised during normal handling. Samsung calls it "physical damage" even though there is no evident damage which can be seen or felt on the surface of the screen. A replacement panel cost about as much as a new television and Samsung advised it "will not provide any accommodation".
As I appealed to a sense of fair play they further advised that their position was "unmovable". This is subsurface, internal damage resulting from normal handling which QLED cannot withstand. Buyers should be aware of this QLED risk which will render their investment worthless. I'm switching to OLED products which are more stable.

Where to start. Paid $329 for a 50 inch TV. Thinking I would get 2-3 years out of the TV... 15 days after having the TV this 3-4 inch vertical line starting randomly appearing. Then the the whole screen would invert the colors of everything making it impossible to watch. Tried to return the TV to find out I had 15 day return window for smart TV. So I ended up calling Samsung support. After multiple calls I was able to email a Samsung rep a photo of the problem. I then have to do all of these picture tests and reset the whole thing. Still has issues. They arrange for a tech company to repair the TV. Long story short the panel is replaced... still broken. Then the main board is replaced. More issues arise!!!!
I have spent close to 20 hours on the phone with Samsung trying to get the TV replaced. Every call they say they need to make documentation and put you on hold for 30 plus minutes. When I have to call again the rep says there is not proper notes and they need to make more notes. They make promises to follow up and never call. They have no clue what's going on but keep assuring me they will take care of it. Then I get conflicting texts, emails, calls about what I am suppose to do. I do everything they ask, get set up with a company to pick up the TV. Boom – text message says they are canceling my refund until I cut the power cord and send the proper documentation. I try to be kind when dealing with customer service knowing they did not make the problem.... That was the final straw of nice ERIC. I called so mad and explained that they already got the documentation and approved the refund.
The rep looks into it and can't explain why I am getting messages. I tell the guy to put a manager on the phone before he says any more about taking care of me. Manager says they will call the shipping company and arrange for a pick up. I get told the company will contact me 7-10 business days. That times passes. I call Samsung again and they can't explain the lack of communication. Finally 3 weeks pass and the shipping company contacts me about picking up the TV. 2/19/20 they are coming to get the TV. They force apps on the tv that take over the programming. Their TV+ app will be mysteriously running when we turn it on, but when we shut it off, we were playing on the gaming console? Even the HDMI software switches between ports by itself?
The last rep I spoke with confirmed it has issues (no kidding), but then tells me he's sorry to inform me that at my expense they can send a service tech to look at it? I told them that's completely unfair, as I've notified them many times over the years of these issues they refuse to acknowledge as television hardware issues.
They force me to file a Better Business Bureau Report on 12/19/2019. A Office of the President rep communicates with me from now on. His information: M. Gaffney | Office of President Samsung Electronics America, Inc. Mr. Gaffney tells me that they will send a technician crew to fix the television with new factory parts. The service company is Dish, who spams me with robot calls while I'm at work. I tried to call the robot back and it just kept asking for information and then wouldn't do anything. It then proceeds to call and leave me voicemails while I'm working. I relay this to Mr. Gaffney and he ignores this issue like all of them and says to me, "So you're refusing service then?" What? He just wanted me to refuse service, so he could tell the BBB, they tried to work with me and I refused. I tell him, "Not at all, send the crew, but not if I can't talk to a real person."
An actual Dish person contacts me and they show up on Saturday morning 1/04/2020. They proceed to take apart the TV, replace defective parts with new parts (main board, cables and some other components). After 3 hours they can't get the TV to work properly, so they take it apart again and replace the new parts with my old parts? They say they can't fix it and to get paid for their labor, they had to put the old parts back?
They have me sign a contract that I can't see, as the signature panel (window) is on top of the contract area. I ask about what I am signing and they say it's what we did to the TV and they'll send me a copy in email in a couple hours. They also said Samsung will be contacting me soon. I do get the contract, but it's completely blank! I actually signed a blank contract unwittingly that they could have written anything on!? Unbelievable really.
I wait a week and have heard nothing from Samsung or Dish, so I send an email to Mr. Gaffney about what happened. He doesn't respond to me, but Samsung told the BBB their service techs were fixing our TV and the issues are resolved? I responded to the BBB about what actually happened, but Mr. Gaffney and Samsung Office of the President reps just keep ignoring communication from anyone regarding this matter. I even called Costco management where we bought it. They were completely understanding and reached out to Samsung as well. They sent emails 2 weeks ago and recently told me they have heard nothing. So they treat their own vendors, just like they treat their customers. At least they are consistent with horrible service.
Mr. Gaffney left me a voicemail on 1/22/2020. This is the first I've heard from him or Samsung since they sent the repair crew 19 days ago. He tells me the repair crew installed a brand new defective main board. He then says Samsung has given me a one time repair and can no longer help me with this television any further? What!? They haven't helped us, since we had problems a couple weeks after purchase in 2017!
How they can blame their inferior products (Mr. Gaffney admitted the new main board was junk) on their customer's other components, cables, internet or anything but their own product is beyond me. They completely wasted our Saturday morning and tore apart our television twice for no reason, ignore our emails and phone calls for 19 days to only say "Hey, we tried, but we know our products are junk, so there's nothing further we can do for you!"

Purchased Samsung Tv from Costco July 2019. No falls, no impacts, just moved it to a new table. After this a white patch appeared on corner and spider web lines began to appear. Called Costco and they said it was still under warranty with Samsung. Called Samsung and they made a ticket and said someone would call me and come look at it. 3 days later a service company called at 8:00 AM and said they would be out a 4:00. I asked if they could come earlier and then got a text at 10:00 AM that they were on the way. 2 hours later they said it was a mistake. Finally showed up at 7:00 PM. Technician said he did not see any external damage, took a photo of screen and sent to Samsung. They said they would not pay for a new screen and he left.
I called Samsung after and they said they would send someone out for second opinion. They had someone call me 3 days later but new company was not available to come out in afternoon. Called Samsung again and they made another ticket but the only company that seems to service San Diego is the first one that came out. They called me and said I would have to pay out of pocket to have screen replaced. Called Samsung again and they said they would find someone else. Again Same service company contacted me. Called Samsung again and they said that I had been referred and they could not help me. They said the screen is very delicate and should not be moved much.
I asked for an exchange or refund and they said no. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said too bad and disconnected my call. I was not irate. I spent so much time on hold trying to resolve this issue and Samsung gave me three different answers and ultimately did nothing but waste my time. I have always thought that Samsung made good products but this TV was used only 6 months, and moved only, once. How can something break that easily? I will not buy Samsung products ever again primarily because Customer Service gave me the runaround and the product was not durable enough to last even 6 months. Samsung TVs are not made to last. They are made very cheaply and a basically a disposable electronic device because it’s not worth it to repair.

Advising anyone in the market for a new tv to avoid Samsung products at all cost. Their product is substandard, and the customer service is less than that. Purchased new Samsung 55" tv in January 2016. TV begins having picture issues in August 2019. Picture would go completely dark for five minutes or so, then come back on. This happened only late at night, so I thought it was probably an issue with the satellite signal. In December, a shadow appeared on the screen, 10 inches wide, from top to bottom. It moved around for a few days, then split into two shadows. Checked on the internet and found people with similar issues on their tv, and several said #Samsung took care the issue, as long as television was less than 5 years old.
I called Samsung, and spoke to a helpful guy. He said the serial number on the tv said it was made in 2018, though we owned it two years before that.He said nothing was covered by Samsung, and that the warranty expired in August of 2019. He did say he would have someone else call me, and they did. The new customer service rep also claimed the tv was made in 2018. She did agree that Samsung would pay for parts, but we would pay for labor. She gave us a phone number of a repairman in our area.
We called the service man, and he said he was in east Louisiana, 100 miles from our home in Sheveport. He said he could not help us. He had the person who referred us to him call us back. She then recommended a repair shop here in Shreveport, which has been in business since 1927. We still did not know how Samsung intended to pay for parts, but figured that would be set up with the repair shop they recommended.
After 12 days in the repair shop, they called and asked us to come look at the picture on the tv to see if it was "good enough". If it wasn't, they said they would order a new panel for it. Apparently, they had been shaving down the edge of the existing panel, since it was burned by the L.E.D. lights when they burned out. We spoke to Samsung again, and they said they would be doing nothing about the tv, in spite of previously saying they would pay for parts. So, we went in to pick up the tv, knowing we would pay the entire cost of the repair.
When we got there and they turned on the tv, it had the same shadow running up and down the picture, PLUS a very bright spot at the bottom of the picture. The repair man said he had shaved it as much as he could, and this was the result. We were worse off than we were before bringing it in. I asked him how much to order a new panel, and he said Samsung does not make a replacement panel for that tv! We had to pay 350.00 to take this trash home, so now we are in it for 1350.00, and it is worthless.
Walmart has 55" tvs for 249.00. (with voice activated remote) We can buy 5 of those for what we have in this junker, and each of them would last longer. If not, we could throw one away when they broke, instead of being lied to about when the tv was made and who would pay for repairs on a shoddily made tv. (Whenever it was made.) Run, don't walk, away from Samsung products!

I have been purchasing Samsung products for yrs. I've loved their products and service until Mon, Dec 2, 2019. With no notice Samsung discontinued service on Smart Televisions without any notice from Samsung. After being on the phone for 3 hours and 15 minutes with 2 different depts to be told I had to purchase additional equipment to continue service. I was then told I would be receiving a $35 compensation check (within 14-21 business days) not just for inconvenience of having to purchase additional equipment but lack of and poor planning from Samsung.
On Dec 30th I hadn't received check and followed up to then be told "compensation check wasn't approved". Samsung didn't just drop service without notice to the consumers on Mon, Dec 2nd but they only informed their customer service dept that previous Fri (Nov 29th) without any plan of how to handle a flood of upset consumers. In my opinion had Samsung issued the compensation checks (like they said) would probably be a lot less than the money Samsung will be losing in consumer purchases. Shame on you not just for what you choose to do to the consumers but also what you did to your employees.

Within 3 months we woke up one morning and saw what looked like a spider crack in the display, We have no children at home and we did not touch the tv which is on a wall mount. The Samsung rep cut me off when I described the spider look and said it was an impact to the screen that we had caused; that the spider look was an indication of a cracked screen or damaged board. I explain over and over that we had done nothing. He said your warranty is now terminated. Looking on a forum. I saw that there were other people saying the same thing about this TV. The store warranty was not any good because the manufacturer's warranty was now invalided.
I did get my money back on the store's ext warranty, but I was watching a new broken image TV. Then months later it quit. I took it to a repair man who said a board had shorted. He said he could fix it, but I would lose the bottom 3 inches of the screen. I paid $100 and watch it like that for a year. Then one day we were vacuuming and bumped the plug of the tv and it shot another larger, spider like crack, across much of the screen, making it unusable. The wires to the tv are in the wall, and the bump could not have produced an impact to the screen. It was a faulty board. Just like I told them, we had not damaged the TV. It was faulty from the get go. They have since lost a number of sales to me. The product and service both stink.

The double convection oven is in the trash after 14 months, not repairable, couldn’t regulate temperature in oven, almost caused fire. French door refrigerator, not repairable, ice maker frosting and stopped making ice, after 4 attempts by Samsung authorized Service. Dishwasher, which is hardly used, is beginning to leak inside and forming a puddle inside. I’ll just say investigate before you purchase Samsung products. Class action lawsuit with refrigerators. Performed the picture test found in the menu section, and got the instruction at the end to call Samsung service line. Did that, sent them a picture as they requested and then got told since there is only a 1-year warranty I should take it in to a local service shop and I would have to pay for the repair. The shop they recommended said that it is the screen and not a board, so the repair is almost the cost of a new TV.
The TV has been wall-mounted (fairly high up) since purchased. Household is 2 seniors and no kids so I know the TV panel was not hit or damaged and the line only developed after 18 months. We never wiped or cleaned the screen. Almost $2,500 for 18 months service seems very expensive to me. The very first Samsung that I purchased about 5 years ago died in less than two years. It couldn't be repaired because the picture tube needed replacing, which would've cost as much as a brand, new TV. It was otherwise in pristine condition. I recently purchased a second one only because I was given $200 toward the purchase any Samsung product, by a Verizon promotion. By using this promotion during a Black Friday event, I was able to make a deal for a 50" flat screen that I couldn't refuse. I have thus owned this second model for less than a year. We have a 65" smart tv. Love it, but don't like the tv guide. They offer also the small speakers they have, which is in all flat screens. We found a nice solution to help that, but that's another survey.

Great picture with HDR and 4K. Simple remote with many apps already loaded. 65" is plenty large for my living room. Clarity is unbelievable!!! Price was pretty good. As it's now 2 years old, the newer same size models are even cheaper, and some have OLED which is supposed to be even sharper.

I bought a 60 inch Samsung LCD 10 years ago and it is still going strong with 1080p display at 120Hz. I think Samsung as an overall tv brand is reliable and top screen maker because even Apple goes to Samsung for their iPhone displays as well.

I own 3 TV's. All are Samsung and basically the same size. 40 inch. I bought my mother another brand and it did not work well at all. Went and got her a Samsung. She also had 3 Samsung TVs. Two 19 inch and a 32 inch. These have all been great TV's. Great picture, good sound from the TV and easy to set up and use. I did have trouble with one when I first brought it home from the store. Unfortunately I bought it from a military exchange store and they didn't offer an exchange, contacted Samsung and Samsung sent out a technician and he discovered the problem, fixed it and have had no problems since then. Only brand I will own.

Love Samsung products whether it be cellphones, TVs, tablets, or whatever. They work well and last a long time. I think they are typically priced reasonably and I always look for the brand when looking a buying new electronics.

We have had a Samsung 42 inch tv for well over a decade. It has functioned great. We replace the bulb ourselves, which saves money and the picture is still as good as the day we bought it. Our LG however, which is newer, has not performed so well. You can't beat Samsung for led tvs!

Having Samsung was one of the best purchases we could have done. Everything look very sharp, the quality of pictures were so radiant and full of color. The Samsung paired with our Samsung phones letting us watch whatever was on our phone on the Samsung. We were able to clearly watch movies with seeing fine details of the objects in movies or shows. Overall I give Samsung a 10 for look of the television, 10 for sharpness and clarity of picture, 10 for easy to setup, 10 for all the different functions to control the way pictures looks and above all the brand is an excellent choice.

Samsung was recommended about 4 years ago to us. It seemed in the beginning we made a good choice but a year ago the 32 in. lost its picture and my dad that repairs TV’s said it would cost to have it fixed than buy a new one. Now the other one 55 inch has developed a bright round spot in the picture. I am so disappointed. Don’t like to spend good money and not last at least 4 years.

The menu is not exactly user-friendly. It’s somewhat confusing and complex to navigate. In addition, if the television is frozen for any length of time, there is a risk a series/movie title is frozen in the background of the screen. The TV stand is more fragile than expected. It did not take much for the base of the stand to break, which forced my husband to super glue the pieces together. Overall, it’s a decent TV, but has its issues all the same.

Our Samsung is wonderful. The picture is sharp and clear with true-to-life color. Even though ours has a smaller screen due to space limitations, it is a joy to watch. Too bad the shows on tv aren’t nearly as good! I would definitely recommend Samsung.

Just bought a 32" on clearance (think it's a old model) to use as a monitor for work. It's not my 1st smart TV but am very impressed with the fact that it synced the DVD remote automatically and if I turn on the DVD remote the TV turns on automatically and changes input from TV to HDMI automatically! When I turn off the TV with the TV remote it turns off the DVD automatically! My 72" brand 6 months old LG doesn't do that! It's the little things!!

Bought 55 inch HD 4K TV. Within 7 months screen had blue tint down left side. It got replaced under warranty. However same fault occurred 8 months later on new screen. Contacted Samsung - told me to let them have a look by internet, told me screen was damaged, it must have been hit by something. Nobody touched the screen apart from their engineer who replaced screen. So got an independent TV engineer who fixed my Panasonic Plasma 7 years ago which still works. Anyway he told me they had been fitting faulty screens sourced from Amazon??? Don't know if it's true but I believe he knows something as I relayed this to them and never got another phone call about fixing screen.

I bought my Samsung 4K E 600 series 60 inch smart tv 3 years ago. It has worked flawlessly and the picture clarity and color after adjustment are better than the Sharp smart tv It replaced. The set up was relatively easy, but required reading and following the set instructions for the many functions beyond setting basic functions like the language, picture, audio and display. Many of the functions are not intuitive as they are layered where in addition to port setting, you need to set up the source connection on the set screen. Among the difficulties were the WiFi set up, and source setups for connecting and using my numerous auxiliary devices as I have “cut the cable” and use a Roku, a DVR, Two DVD players for PAL and NTSC dvds, a combo vhs/dvd player recorder and a 2 gb media Storage device.
A major problem from the beginning was opening the remote to insert batteries and to learn its few buttons (6) including the power button and the substitute two thin bars and circle for the many buttons of most remotes. None of the buttons are well marked for function. What does a button marked “extra” indicate as a function or one marked 1,2,3? The remote was designed for a sleek look and is visually attractive, but it is the worst designed remote for function that I have ever had for any tv including the complicated universal remote that I have bought as a consequence. The Samsung remote is a sleek thin wand, comfortable to hold in the hand, but the designed circle, not buttons that control movement for stations, and to different sources for viewing do not function well, nor do the thin bars that control, volume, and menu.
It was from the beginning nearly impossible to open. The case is so tightly closed that pressing the small arrow on the back to open the case down with a thumb or any finger while holding it in the palm of the other hand does not work as the arrow itself barely moves when pressed. I have had to take it to the store for them to open it and the technician had to pry it open with a tool. Another drawback for people who have older equipment is that there is only one input for Devices that connect with RCA cables and not HDMI, of which there are four inputs. There is however a convenient input for my usb devices. Overall, I would recommend the Samsung and the technical support I received for help on one or two occasions was good except for the problem of opening the remote. By phone, it did not work.

I have 3 Samsung 4K televisions. IMO this company delivers on quality product with an affordable price. I have been buying Samsungs for years. They are easy to get started on home Wi-Fi. The only thing I don’t like about the TVs is the manufacturer's stands so I do have to buy the stands separately but I am pretty sure this probably is consistent with other similar products.

I purchase this 82 inch Samsung QLED on June 14, 2019 from a online site. After receiving and setting the unit and being very satisfied with the unit, I went to turn it on the 28th of July only to find that none of the HDMI ports would pass video. After spending 2 hours verifying that the problem was not with my setup or the equipment I have attached to the TV I contacted Samsung thru their online chat line. I spent several hours online with them and they came to the conclusion that the unit was at fault. They said that I should set up a repair request. When I did they said they have no service representative in my area (I live in Sarasota Bradenton market not out in the farm lands). I call Samsung and had to repeat the two to three hour process over the telephone this time to come to the same conclusion. This time the person found a repair representative 60 miles away in Tampa.
I asked the person to notify the repair company that I needed a One Connect Box and to bring one with them so as to not draw the process out. They said that all the work done to that point was documented and that the repair company would be ready. I followed up by calling the repair company and verified they knew of the issue and would be prepared. The repair person took 8 days 8/5/19 to get to me. Technician took 15 minutes to agree that it was the One Connect Box but he would have to order one from Samsung and set another appointment. The technician stated that the part was not currently available from Samsung and that he would be back when they received it. The repair technician returned on 8/21/19 (16 days later) and took 15 minutes to connect the new One Connect Box only to find that it was not the problem! They then said they would order additional parts and they would be back in 7 to 10 days.
On 8/21/19 Samsung contacted me and said they were going to replace the TV and asked for me to email them the purchase receipt. I did that within 2 hours. The person on the phone said it would take several days to process the request. Seven days and two calls later I was informed on 8/28/19 that the request was approved and in the next several days I would be contacted to start the process of the exchange!! This has been going on for over a month and my fear is that a truck will show up at my home and dump a TV on my doorstep and tell me to call them when the broken unit is ready to be picked up. This TV weighs 150+ pounds with the stand and is 6 feet by about 4 feet and is very hard to maneuver. I have never had this kind of experience with a company before and cannot believe they are in business.

I bought a Samsung 55"TV, after a few months of use lines appeared on the screen. The lines appears only as TV as it gets turned on and there is no physical damage to TV at all. I contacted Samsung, Samsung scheduled a third party technician who showed after Samsung rescheduled it several times. The Technician showed looked the issue and told me that there is a technical issue and would replace it after talking to Samsung. As soon technician talked to Samsung support team over the phone, sent pictures to them, video called they behind the line concluded that it is a physical damage criticizing technician. Thus Samsung denied to honor warranty coverage to repair the TV. Noticing the situation, I also recorded our conversation and the conversation between technician and Samsung Support over the phone.
Next day I contacted Samsung and explained to them about the situation and confronted them that it was not technician's diagnoses of physical damage, but Samsung or SS ruled it over the phone to be physical damage. Samsung agreed to send a different technician for the second time to outline the detailed description of the damage. Technician was scheduled to come Monday Aug 26, 2019, between 2:00 pm to 6:00 PM. Instead, on Friday I got a voice mail on Friday 8/23 form Jauan with a call back number saying that technician cannot come in and I should call him.
When I called back and explained to him, he said that a management team would call me the status of technician appointment. I never got a callback, and I called and left a message again Monday morning to verify if technician is going to show up or not. This is not they warranty and business should be conducted and I would not recommend others buy Samsung products. Tameem

Customer Service can't be beat. Their warranty is like no other. They will send someone to your house to take care of the issue with the TV. You don't have to lug a 65 in back to the store or a store. They can put in a new motherboard, new screen. They will rebuild you a new TV right in front of you and it is better than the you could have thought.

Purchased a Samsung 65" TV at Sam's Club on 7/10/2018. Less than a year later 4/22/2019, the screen started getting shadows on it. Called Sam's Club and was told after 90 days I have to deal with Samsung. Called Samsung and they had a service person come out. He diagnosed a bad screen and power supply. Replaced both. Four months later, on 8/22/2019 the screen went totally black. I was told that service would call the next day to arrange repair. I never got a call. Called Samsung again and was told the repair center would call me in 5 minutes. Never received a call.
Contacted Samsung again and this time was told that service had 48 hrs to respond from the initial report. It is now 5 days later and I have not heard from service center. Called Samsung again and now I'm being told they don't have parts to fix it now and when they get the parts they will call me. So I don't have a TV and they have no idea when it will be fixed. The TV is junk but Samsung will not replace. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG! They sell garbage and will not stand behind their products and customer satisfaction is non existent.
